He sucks his bottom lip in to his mouth, biting down on a smile as he looks at her. Something deeply fond flickering across his face. “Nah, don’t think I will.”

Beth stands up from the bed, exasperated, crossing her arms under her chest, drawing his eyeline back down to her cleavage. Predictable. “What do you mean ‘nah’?” lowering her voice to mimic him.

It earns her a chuckle, a gruff sound as he shrugs casually. “Means I’m keepin’ it.”

Beth shakes her head and steps closer, clasping her hands together. “Look, I don’t want to break your heart here or anything - but honey, you don’t have any hair to tie back.”
