Story of Kunning Palace Ep. 20: To be free like the birds
Tumblr media
What I love about good prison scenes is that they often reveal which of our characters are truly free.
For Yan Lin, Jiang Xuening, and Xie Wei, Episode 20 poses the following question: to what extent are we prisoners of the fate we've created for ourselves?
Yan Lin
Tumblr media
Ironically, Yan Lin is an actual prisoner but he’s probably the freest of all our characters. He's finally free from his unrequited love of Xuening, free from the politicking of the palace, and, as @tomorrowsdrama beautifully observes, free from the burden of revenge. However he meets Xie Wei next, it won't be as the ruthless man from the story's original timeline who was hellbent on destroying those who had betrayed him.
Despite Xuening's worries, Yan Lin's exile grants him the opportunity to grow into the impressive man he always had the potential to be. @dangermousie used the word irrepressible to describe him and it's such a perfect word that encapsulates Yan Lin's boundless love and spirit. As Yan Lin and his father are taken away to Huangzhou because of their crimes, he shouts to Xie Wei the poem that inspired his courtesy name:
There will come a day when the roc finally goes up against the wind, flying up to the highest sky. I, Yan Hui, will return safely."
He will return as a great general, one who upholds peace in the world.
Jiang Xuening
Tumblr media
I think it's a lovely touch how both Yan Lin and Xuening are symbolically represented by birds flying through the sky. Episode 1 kicked off with a bird of prey soaring above Xuening's poor childhood home and descending upon the palace. Young Xuening had always dreamed of escaping her difficult life but found herself in a different type of prison once she entered the palace. Empress Xuening narrates:
"If I knew this would happen, I would not have wasted my life chasing after fame and power. I should have traveled far and wide, to see the vast land and waters, to be free like the birds."
Tumblr media
So when Xuening fails to escape the prison after visiting Yan Lin and she encounters an undercover Zhang Zhe, she's also granted a rare freedom: to figure out what she truly wants from life.
In previous episodes, Xuening mused about what it would be like to forsake palace life and be with Zhang Zhe, but at this point, her feelings for him are largely based on their interactions during the original timeline, not the current one. When she suddenly finds herself joining him to infiltrate the rebels, it is both a chance to explore the world beyond the constraints of the palace while also getting closer to him.
Tumblr media
As viewers, many of us have been wondering when Xuening will realize her feelings for Xie Wei and abandon her pursuit of Zhang Zhe. And I think that shift will happen soon. Look at how dark, almost sinister, it looked when the doors of the prison were opened and they began their journey to the rebel hideout. Together, Xuening and Zhang Zhe are embarking on a dangerous adventure that will most likely illuminate just how ill-matched they are.
Xie Wei
Tumblr media
Up until this point, everything has gone according to plan for Xie Wei. Like he fine-tunes his qin, he has fine-tuned his revenge plot against the Xue Family to perfection. Ruthless and methodical, he is the puppet master of everyone's fate.
But what I've found so tragic about Xie Wei's character is that even with all the power he has amassed, he still lives within the confines of a prison he has created for himself. Like he had sacrificed himself to save the Crown Prince and those 300 other children when he was a boy, he is now sacrificing his goodness and true sense of self to execute his revenge. "I am not a good person", he warns Xuening over and over again--and he isn't, not really (despite some evidence to the contrary).
Tumblr media
Which makes his willingness to reconsider his plans to save Xuening even more incredible. Look at the simmering panic on his face. He warned her never to tell others who she has in her heart, and yet here he is, allowing his carefully crafted plans--the one thing that defines him-- to unravel as he makes plans to leave the palace to go after her.

The Bad Batch S3, E10/11
Spurs. Cad Bane. Always nice to see you again...you dick. (Is this where Boba got the whole spurs thing?)
That poor baby…whatever species that is. (Do we know what species that is?)
Those poor high M-Count children. I need to hug them.
Emerie, babe, this is who and what you've been working for and toward. Open your eyes.
Phee and her droid. Of course her droid would be as sassy as she is.
That creature-sneak onto Phee's ship to steal data…
Treasures. The goggles. And Lula. Thank you for breaking my heart. Again.
At least Wrecker was aware enough to avoid most of the explosion. And he saved Gonky!
"Domiciles." Who says that when they can just say "houses?" I'll give you three guesses and two of them don't count.
"WHO are you?" ….I'm keeping my mouth shut.
Hunter. Gunship. Thing of beauty, as I said.
Poor half drowned Hunter. Poor soaking wet Hunter…
Consider the bigger mission. Omega, we always knew you were going to grow up to be self-sacrificing.
He MISSED the shot. Crosshair. Cross. Baby. You have to address the trauma.

Hi! Got here from Tik tok and you really like Elijah.
Just some conversation I wanted to share was how scary I think they made Elijah in the originals. Note that I don’t actually have any attachments to the characters so I might be stating things blantely. Another theory to why I believe the originals is “darker” than TVD.
This is because of Elijah. In TVD- Elijah helped all of his siblings. In the originals his character got a bit retconned.
In the originals, the entire plot-line of Elijah serving klaus was probably a perverted survival of the fittest ideology. Which he then subconsciously re-animate the trauma of not helping Niklaus , because deep down Elijah knows his reason was absolutely terrifying(self preservation).
I say re-animate trauma because Elijah says he too was “beaten without mercy.” So it’s not like he could’ve helped. But he had to convince himself he should’ve even though it wasn’t possible.
If it were possible than I would completely buy into it. But the writers explicitly say it wasn’t possible.
And because of that* he needed to devote himself to Klaus. Which makes sense because it is shown that Elijah is self loathing.( I can bring up examples if you want) And self loathing because he knows his facade is based on self interest and not nobility. They already say he isn’t noble and already pretends to be. And nobility is doing good for others without self interest.
And -I don’t know why but it seems like he pretends to love his siblings. Apparently he got rid of Finn because he wanted to be the oldest and the most respected in that manner. (The writers put this somewhere) . And he did so because … survival of the fittest.
And even Elijah’s actor admitted Elijah’s pretend love for his siblings.
In all honestly I don’t know why Elijah couldn’t love his siblings. The writers kinda just wrote it as such in the originals. -They hinted Elijah didn’t care about Rebecca’s happiness.
In TVD he wanted all his siblings out of the box . In the originals we see Elijah help Klaus out them there.
*saved Klaus from Mikael
BTW
(The entire klaus asking Elijah to run away with him when they were human -I don’t fully understand that,yet took the time to think about it)
Hi love, thanks for following!
Honestly, my biggest response to most of this is: poor writing. I could write a whole novel on this.
The CW is known for prioritizing ratings over the quality of the show and TVDU is no exception.
The Originals was definitely meant to be a darker show. They aged up all of the characters and focused more on the fight for survival rather than the teen romance we see in TVD.
So when I say the writing wasn't good at times, it's because the show let the audience drive it. Klaus was a favorite so they made a whole show around him and his redemption, often sacrificing the characters/development in order to push the narrative they believed would be most popular. So we see things like Kol and Finn's characters getting completely sidelined and Elijah being absolutely obsessed with Klaus when that wasn't the case for all of TVD.
I also like to think the writers intentionally made the Mikaelsons very biased in their storytelling, but it likely was just more inconsistent writing. But to me, it is more important to watch how they behave rather than what they say. Elijah and Klaus have a tendency to tell stories from the perspective of Klaus, discrediting even Elijah's own struggles/trauma.
I also think too much was put on Elijah at a young age. I see a lot of the fandom angry at Elijah for not protecting his brother when it is clear all of the siblings are just as terrified of Mikael as Klaus is. And I also would find it surprising if they all didn't receive some form of physical/emotional abuse from Mikael as children (remember Klaus was initially Mikael's favorite). But, as you said, Elijah and Klaus have convinced themselves that Elijah failed him as a way to shift blame from Klaus onto Elijah. Elijah is very much viewed as the parent of the family despite their parents' existence and even the failures of their parents are somehow blamed on Elijah.
I do think a lot of Elijah's attachment to Klaus was because he felt guilty for not protecting him better as a child. Childhood trauma has a way of sticking with you and can create a lot of negative trauma responses. But, in my head at least, it is also because that is his closest sibling. We see Elijah is born at a time of upheaval and depression in his family and is often neglected by his parents. To me, Klaus was likely the first person Elijah ever felt a bond with, ever felt love for/from.
I also think you are spot on with the self-loathing. People love to say Elijah pretended to be noble. But he never did. Others said that about him and he didn't necessarily correct them. Yet when we hear him talk about himself, he very much views himself as a monster (hence the red door). He is very aware that his entire motivation in life is protecting his family and he will cross any line to do so. He is also aware of how messed up that is. But this is exactly why you often see him as the one to volunteer to do the worst of the worst deeds. He is still attempting to preserve his siblings' redemption and, since he views himself as a lost cause, he continuously sacrifices his chance at redemption to save his family.
Now, where I think the show failed was how Elijah treated the rest of his siblings, especially Rebekah. I don't think he got rid of Finn to be the oldest (he never had an issue with Freya). But I do think he didn't move to save Finn because he resented him. Finn never protected Elijah, rather he often made things more difficult for his siblings. Elijah had to step up because his older brother refused to.
But I still don't buy that Elijah wasn't trying to protect his siblings for a thousand years. We only see about 1% of their life. But from what we can gather, Kol was locked up around 30-40% of the time and Rebekah was daggered for decades at a time. We don't know anything really about Elijah's experience with the dagger, but we know it has been used on him in the past. But like you said, Klaus asked Elijah to run with them when they were kids, but Elijah wouldn't leave the rest of his siblings behind. He prioritized all of his siblings, not just Klaus. So there was this shift in TO where Elijah was all of a sudden prioritizing Klaus over everyone else. They even apply it back to flashbacks, but it really makes no sense for the character we saw in TVD.
I think an aspect of him not protecting his siblings could be fear of Klaus or fear of isolating Klaus. He didn't act until Klaus had pushed him too far. But at the end of the day, it likely is just bad writing in order to prop Klaus up. The writers always wanted Klaus to have his redemption and didn't really care about the other characters. If no one believed in Klaus' redemption or fought for him, it would be harder to get the audience to fight for him. Klaus had to end up being the good sibling that they all loved so they had to sacrifice the one who actually made the most sense for the part.
Basically, in my opinion, Elijah loved his siblings more than anything and would have made any sacrifice for them. We see it through his actions (even if he's not always great at showing it) more so than the words/storytelling. He sacrificed himself countless times for them and would have died for them, not just Klaus. Unfortunately, the show was hell-bent on being centered around Klaus so we lost a lot of good character development.
** Side note, I don't tend to trust anything Daniel (the actor) says about Elijah. He did an amazing job with the acting but he very much did not pay attention to themes or overall storylines

dean pain is so annoying like yes dean has feelings but not everything is about him guys.
i hate it in the show obviously but the way it extends to fandom and dean fans will make everything about dean pain actually gets me angry. its an immediate block
recently saw a gifset about sams eating habits and some of the replies are insane!!!!
"sam is fussy because dean sacrificed and made sure he was never hungry whereas dean eats everything bcuz big bad john starved him uwu"
or even worse "sam thought he was a chubby 12 year old when he was "well fed" bcuz dean was so emaciated from being so underfed and he felt guilty about it :("
like????? you sound crazy and it says so much about what you think about people with eating disorders. im killing them with my mind powers. literally everything bad that happened to sam is just fodder for the "dean is a poor little victim" brigade
everything boils down to "sam is a spoiled brat who doesnt realise how much martyr dean has sacrificed for him" which is crazy cuz dean really hasnt protected him all that much, not in the show and imo, not as children
i completely understand you anon, i have like half of the fandom blocked on my main for almost this exact reason. the framing of dean being kind, punished, nurturing etc, while sam is selfish, evil, spoiled always feels like a thinly veiled attempt at deflecting from the actual heinous stuff dean does, especially to sam sometimes. it's all about making dean the victim, woobifying him in a way, and it really shows in people's headcanons about abuse as well, which it think is even worse than the already bad ones about eating disorders. malnourished dean specifically is such a wet dream for people who love woobifying dean, because we know comparatively little about their childhoods so headcanons are less easily disproved, and stuff that we do know (lack of money, lack of food) paint a very sad picture of it. i'm not saying you can't argue that dean has had issues with food in the past, but saying sam should feel bad for it, sam who was also just a hungry little kid, is ridiculous. i personally do not believe dean went days without food just so sam could have some more, he'd probably steal money or groceries before it came to that, or even go to charities. dean is self destructive, but he's not stupid. also the narrative of john maliciously starving dean is stupid as hell, why would you train your child to survive fighting monsters just to sabotage them by intentionally starving them? in a scenario when there wasn't enough food i 100% believe john ate less so sam and dean could have enough, but people love to pretend john was actually satan before they use their brains.

Anti-Snape propaganda: his whole reasoning for opposing wizard fascism was ‘oh no, my tragically unrequited crush (who hates me because I called her a slur when she was trying to help me and cruelly married a man who bullied me in highschool) might be in danger!’ If Lily was a Pureblood, he would have no reason not to stay a Death Eater. He’s the one who puts her life in danger in the first place, while spying for the mass-murdering blood supremacist, and he only feels regret and switches sides when it affects him personally.
(In addition, it’s highly insinuated that there was more to the end of the friendship than Snape calling Lily a slur, although, you know, that’s reason enough. She mentions that he’s already hanging out with future death eaters who make her uncomfortable, which definitely presents the possibility he’s already entrenched in the gross racist views whether or not he likes her personally).
This is the quote where he goes to Dumbledore:
“The — the prophecy . . . the prediction . . . Trelawney . . .”
“Ah, yes. How much did you relay to Lord Voldemort?”
“Everything — everything I heard! That is why — it is for that reason — he thinks it means Lily Evans!”
“The prophecy did not refer to a woman. It spoke of a boy born at the end of July —”
“You know what I mean! He thinks it means her son, he is going to hunt her down — kill them all —”
“If she means so much to you, surely Lord Voldemort will spare her? Could you not ask for mercy for the mother, in exchange for the son?”
“I have — I have asked him —”
“You disgust me.”
Yeah, he was totally cool with trading away the lives of his high school bully and his supposed true love’s newborn baby (who she died for! But he cares so much about her happiness, right?) as long as he got to keep Lily Potter like a muggleborn pet. Because let’s be honest, muggleborns weren’t considered equals by the Death Eaters, and I can’t imagine the woman who sacrificed herself to save her child’s life would be super fine with just letting her family be slaughtered in exchange for ‘mercy.’ How would he deal with her horrified trauma? Would he be keeping her under lock and key, or…? I think it’s reasonable to assume some pretty fucked-up implications for the whole ‘I asked the Dark Lord’ comment.
Also, lots of people justify his creepy sadman act (where he used his academic authority to bully the abused orphan who dared to be related to his highschool bully) by saying he was abused and bullied himself, like that doesn’t make it worse? He knows what that’s like, and he inflicts that pain on others, while remaining constantly self-pitying. Additionally, as though his motivation for actively trying to make the eleven year old orphan’s life miserable wasn’t stupid enough, Harry is absolutely not the only one he treats this way. He torments a ton of Gryffindors over the years, so either he just enjoys preying on the weak, like Neville (who in no way resembles James Potter, and whose family life was ruined in part due to the prophecy Snape revealed), or he’s taken his childhood bullying trauma to the next level by assigning it to a quarter of the school population! I’m not saying getting bullied isn’t terrible. It’s very traumatising in some instances and I do feel sympathy for his experiences. But Snape is not a sympathetic figure or hero to bullied children, he’s just a hypocritical self-pitying incel who wilfully plays straight into the circle of generational trauma. If anything, the fact that Harry didn’t grow up to bully children who reminded him of Snape makes him the true champion here.
Sorry, this is stupidly long. I guess I have a lot of repressed rage about the TERFiest of books and how much crap I’ve heard justifying poor writing in the past.

Oh? I may be the first person to hope that Idia is too late? Or at least the first person who has said so? Hee hee…
(*≧艸≦)
What can I say? I like angst lol
And I like being observant and taking in details of writing? I really like etymology and am fascinated by dialogue and how characters may communicate so that last line stick out to me!
As for lil Shroud not being good at design? Previously I wrote
The body was humanoid. Two arms. Two legs. A torso. And a head. The body may’ve looked humanoid, but it didn’t look human.
And
Like a bare minimum.
But now with your words I’m wondering if it’s even less of a humanoid? Ooo, really making me wonder!
But also, the curse the wiki says the shroud family has? I’m just imagining the flames on their head slowly dying out as their soul is being transferred. And it’s quiet. And save for the screens that showed their vitals that have gone blank, it’s dark. And then, on the head of the artificial maybe humanoid body, little embers start to flicker to life.
As for overbloting, I’ve read the wiki and some of the translations for chapter 6. So uh. Spoilers.
Anyways. Idia having control over himself during his overblot is scary enough. But lil Shroud having control or influence over other blot creatures and other people’s phantoms? That’s a different kind of scary/unnerving.
Also, for that one anon(I think it was an anon? I can’t remember;-;) who said something about lil Shroud seeing their childself and their siblings as children? Ooooo… I wonder if lil Shroud will feel guilt over killing “another” child? I put another in parentheses cause, well, they killed Ortho in their and their parents’ eyes(at least three people, unsure of anyone else), and then after that, they went on and killed their childself who was so wide eyed and curious. Sacrificed them to repent and try and “rectify” “their mistake”. So I wonder if they see it like that. I wonder if they wonder what their childself would think of them if they saw just who they turned into.
- Heartbeat Anon
hehe dwdw i also love angst (i mean, that's very obvious from my blog :D)
there are def two ways that lil shroud could have handled the design aspect of their experiment. one could be what you mentioned where it's less than human, or it could be that lil shroud might have... left the design the way it was? if you get what i mean ;)
anyway, yes yes lil shroud would be terrifying during an overblot or really helpful. all depends on what side they're on. if we go with the idea that all the black sheep exist in one universe and they all overblot together, i can only imagine the horror that lil shroud would enact alone, let alone with the other black sheep
and 100% lil shroud, if they saw their lil happy child self, would wonder what would happen if they didn't "kill" them. poor baby is in a constant state of wondering "what ifs" that it pushed them too far :((

Trigun Maximum 10.2
How can it get worse and worse?! When did this manga take a turn to despair… I know, like 11 volumes ago… *flops facedown* I am hit critically in the feels.
Trigun Ultimate: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 Trigun Maximum: 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 9.1, 9.2, 10.1, You are here!
03: Sudden Change
Oh, how this chapter title took me for a spin in my first read through. Yes, the tides of the battle turn, but not completely and at what cost? There is a change in Wolfwood, too, physically, but also mentally.
Tumblr media
Yeah, as if you were his best friend and he couldn’t live with the idea of losing you. Especially with what you sacrificed for him repeatedly.
But behind that, there is Wolfwood’s core problem. He sees himself as a burden. Not only is everyone else more important, his existence is a burden for others. Something he has to make up. That’s why Chapel got his claws around him so easily. Remember back at Vash’ and Wolfwood’s first meeting?
Tumblr media
He left the place either as a young teen or a preteen… And even there he constantly worked as a caretaker for the other kids, to lessen the load on Miss Melanie and the other staff.
While there is a cold logic to Wolfwood’s decision: Vash needs to save the whole world, Wolfwood cannot risk him for my much smaller problem. Though, in reality it boils down to: I cannot burden him. Wolfwood cannot take into consideration that he himself is an important person that not only needs, but is allowed to have someone at their side that protects them. He is that to other people, because he never had it himself.
Tumblr media
Okay, it seems my question in the last volume got answered. When Wolfwood received his Punisher (the tenth), it was the tenth Punisher that has been ever made. Question is, did Razlo get new ones made or did he inherit those from the former members?
Tumblr media
I can’t. Does Vash ever have nightmares about this after all is done? That Wolfwood stared at him with panicked eyes and then chose to kill himself for Vash, the kids and Livio?
This scene has so many different interpretations and I have a different one each time I read it. Right now I read it as: Vash is in trouble and Wolfwood is too hurt to help, so he makes the choice to sacrifice himself so Vash can protect the children. And with Vash being the shield for the children, Wolfwood has another chance to get through to Livio. If he fails, Wolfwood trusts that Vash can take him on.
A few pages later we see that Vash gets a punisher bullet through his side. So, Wolfwood’s assumptions seems more like a keen observation.
Tumblr media
Speedwagon again… Why… would Chapel care in this situation if Wolfwood survives? Oh, no, that’s not it. It is that Wolfwood is in a position to stand up against Chapel and fight him, again. Chapel was so close to breaking Wolfwood down, but he failed and that’s what makes him call out to Wolfwood like he is an idiot that does not understand these vials and their workings. But Wolfwood does. Chapel cannot understand that something is more important for Wolfwood than his life.
Another reason why I think taking vials back to back amplifies their effect to the better and worse. Did Wolfwood grow, too? The cracking and bulging sounds imply that.
Tumblr media
He turned into a breakdancer! *okay, jokes aside*
Tumblr media
*sobs*
Tumblr media
Does… Does Wolfwood headbutt Chapel to death?!? Naice.
Tumblr media
In the end, Razlo is a little, bratty kid that had no one. He is dependent on Chapel. Chapel fostered the dependency to have control over Razlo. He used him. But Chapel was still Razlo’s safety anchor.
Tumblr media
One more point for the team: Vash can hear thoughts of people who are dying.
Poor Wolfwood, that he is a monster is just so ingrained into him that he cannot bear the thoughts of the people he loves so dearly see him. He cannot even fathom that they’d see something completely different than he does. And the return of the glasses! The glasses hide his true self, they hide his fear. They are his crutch that helps him to put distance between him and others.
Tumblr media
I KNOW that this is Razlo being totally irrational, but I shouted out: “Oh, come on! You two just tortured the big brother of your other self!” Razlo is so strong, he never had to deal with the fear of losing, either his life or just a battle. Wolfwood goes into battles with the knowledge that he can not only die easily, it was one of the reasons why he reprimanded Vash for the risks he took. This is the first loss Razlo has experienced.
Tumblr media
And fitting to that, Razlo did not care for Chapel as a person, he needed to be needed. Chapel filled that desire. It is about the loneliness that comes at the loss, not the loss itself.
Tumblr media
Oh, now we get an insight into Vash?! NOW! So it hurts even more?
Vash, if you truly listened to Wolfwood and tried to understand why he does the things he does, you would have understood that your beliefs aren’t that opposed. In the end, it is the scale that is different. But you never asked. You are so used to doing your own thing, that you trust what you get by your observation skills and do not really interact with the people or with the conflict that ensues. The whole “You give up hope too easily” stuff is a perfect example of this.
One of the reasons why I have a growing annoyance with Vash while the volumes go on is that we do not get his insight, we do not see him grow much. As much as he puts up distance between himself and others, we as readers are kept at a distance, too. That’s why the characters Wolfwood and Meryl are so important, because they are there for the readers as a point of reference. But that way we also grew incredibly close to them. I’d say closer to Wolfwood, since we get so much more insight into him and Meryl gets sadly pretty sidelined. We see them struggle with Vash and what he is and what that means for them, we see Wolfwood in constant conflict with his reality and how it opposes his morals. We do not get that from Vash. That often makes him seem aloof, stubborn and judgemental, at least to me. There are little flashes like the talk on Home, but those are very rare.
And back to the bird high in the air. It fits here, too. It is unreachable, up in the air. Wolfwood was seemingly free to do as he liked towards everyone. Freer than Vash could be with the chains Vash has put around himself to punish himself, robbing himself of so much agency to act in his own defence or defence of others. But Wolfwood was struggling the whole time to survive. His morals and his chosen responsibilities slowly suffocate him.
Tumblr media
Battle buddies, my favourite trope.
Tumblr media
The only way Wolfwood can show care or thanks. He hides behind his abrasiveness and the obvious problem looming over all of them. As he justified his leaving to himself, Vash is needed there and Wolfwood’s problems are just a negligible distraction. It is the fate of the world that is in Vash’ hands.
The obvious answer is that Wolfwood is just so much more important for Vash than the fight with Knives. I’d even go so far and say that he needs his assistance in the fight, even if it is just for the mental boost. But neither of them is able to tell the other what they truly feel, they hide it behind banter, not speaking the most important words.
04: Death Omen
Uh… didn’t we have a chapter with the same title? Eh… But fitting… 4 and death omen..
Tumblr media
It is the only time he has… Wolfwood is so happy that Vash is there. He is grateful for their time together.
Tumblr media
Wolfwood’s face behind the glasses. Vash does not understand what or why Wolfwood acts that way symbolised by the way Wolfwood’s eyes are hidden. And he throws Wolfwood’s words back into his face, how Wolfwood is a realist, how he has to survive at any cost. For the kids. Even for their friends.
Tumblr media
And it clicks. Vash starts to realise that something is deeply wrong with Wolfwood. That Wolfwood is truly believing that he will die here. Vash may have even forgotten for a while that Wolfwood is in the end human. His childhood was exchanged for a fighter’s body and he has the vials. But has really ever understood what that meant? Did Vash see the wounds as something he has been already through, so Wolfwood would survive them, too? Vash is still in denial. But it starts to dawn on him. Are the wounds on Wolfwood too dire?
The expressions of sorrow on Wolfwood is so… so… good. The sorrowful Wolfwood’s are with the best expressions he ever drew.
Tumblr media
It… It’s the page. Them desperately reaching out for each other. Vash finally had realised how important Wolfwood is to him, either during the arc-rescue or when Wolfwood ghosted him. And Vash finally stopped avoiding the connection they had, he seeked Wolfwood out, breaking a series going on for 150 years.
Tumblr media
But it is too late.
And Vash understands that Wolfwood is dying. He was too late.
Tumblr media
How his fingers dig in… That is the side where Chapel shoved his weapon into, Wolfwood was speared there. There may be not much left under the suit.
(Sidenote, since bible fanfiction. Jesus has been speared into the side, too, after the crucifixion to check if he was truly dead.)
Tumblr media
Vash always does his best to not shoot in anger. But all is lost to him at that moment. The only reason why L/R survives is because Vash cherishes Wolfwood’s wishes too much to do more. But if Wolfwood would have been unsuccessful in saving Livio, I have no doubt that Vash would have murdered him in cold blood.
Tumblr media
What else but leaving a man his dying wish?
Tumblr media
This hurts so much. They finally got together, they finally bridged the gap that kept them apart for the whole time. They finally found understanding in each other. And now Wolfwood’s looming death parts them. The last panel shows the growing distance.
Tumblr media
Wolfwood is the bird and the one longing at the same time. He has no real freedom, he never had, but had to struggle the whole time to survive. He wanted rest and peace, but his life did not offer him any of it. His only real choice was to be the protector for others. So that others have a place to rest and feel safe. So that their safety is not a cage, but that they gain both freedom and a home. And that led him to an early and brutal death. Is there true freedom in this decision? He chose his own path here. But at the same time, it was the only path he could take. The only way for Wolfwood to stay Wolfwood was to die. Breaking his morals here to save himself over Livio, would go against his whole person. He has to protect. Without being the protector, Wolfwood is not Wolfwood.
Vash is the bird and the human, too. Vash longs for the first time to be with a human, but he can only look in longing, since his wish will never be. After his long and painful existence, he truly wished to find peace with someone (platonically or romantically), but the bird that is Wolfwood has already passed him and he can only look at him in longing, because he has no way to reach him or make him stay.
Tumblr media
Wolfwood is in full big brother mode. Razlo gets treated like the brat he is. It is funny that I wrote that Razlo is a brat before reading this.
Tumblr media
The way Wolfwood’s eye is shown, tells us that he is serious. Very much so. Razlo is in for a hell of pain.
Nightow is *chef's kiss* at cool expressions and poses.
Tumblr media
Wolfwood not only received his death omen, he is a dead man walking. But he is the death omen, too. He will end the hold that Chapel has over Livio, over Razlo’s dead… uh… not body, since it is Lilvio’s. But Wolfwood will find a way.

Be My Favorite EP.3 Thoughts
There are so many details and interesting scenes in the series so I want to make a post how I see Kawi, Pisaeng and others and maybe see later if I interpreted it right or not xD Let's go!
Tumblr media
First of all, I adore how Pisaeng's first reaction to seeing Kawi and Pear (his two friends, only two people he feels comfortable with) getting along together, and Kawi wanted to get close to Pear for so long. And then on his face you can see the sloooow freaking delicious realization that it meant Kawi will probably start dating Pear because he's in love with her. And it's so painfully obvious Pisaeng already has been harboring feelings for Kawi and flirted with him and wanted to date him. Here he is witnessing his two friends getting together and losing his chance at being happy in love. I adore this scene.
BUT. Actions speak so much louder for Kawi than words (oh, he's SO POOR with his words, my guy you will have a long character arc huh). Kawi is finally getting his little date with Pearmai – but as Pisaeng went away (and he said he would), Kawi is immediately worried. He want Pisaeng to be there too because it's so frightening and awkward talking with the girl, yet he feels way more comfortable with Pisaeng.
Tumblr media
This is later emphasized by Kawi (again, the first action he did after his 'date' – call Pisaeng to hang out!) when he complains he couldn't be himself but with Pisaeng he can eat as much as he want to and be himself. He also complains nobody can love him like that while completely failing to see the waterfall of heart eyes Pisaeng is pouring at him in the moment, still fascinated by Kawi's true self revealed to him only.
Kawi is putting himself through the standards and rules he imagined on his own – don't eat a lot, appear normal and well-mannered, don't sit in the car with girls, lie that your dorm is close, you have to pretend to be someone else so people will finally like you. As Pisaeng said, Kawi is absolutely wrong and he judges the rest of people too much. His problems are mostly self-inflicted (but also it's very believable and relatable if you've been with low self-esteem, socially anxious and awkward when you were young like Kawi).
But Kawi is genuinely enjoying Pisaeng taking care of him and treating him and he's happy to have someone close to him like that – until he starts overthinking things again (and that confusion and misunderstanding is his main problem that we see)
Tumblr media
Back to Pisaeng's problems. I won't say much cuz it's obvious – even if Pisaeng was friends with Not in high school, he grew up and realized the way of thinking of Not and his squad is bad and nothing he wants to be part of. Pisaeng learnt better. Pisaeng preferred the company of soft and kind Pearmai to the 'toxic masculine asshole' of a friend who only saw Pear as a sexy object (AND Pisaeng got accused of it by Not saying 'he picked a girl over his friend', completely misunderstanding why Pisaeng is angry and upset at his words all the time and doesn't wanna be friends anymore).
It's also telling how Pisaeng only said 'you can try hitting on Pear' (because he shouldn't be the one to approve a boyfriend for Pear, it's her choice) but with wary look, he even almost fought him later because of Not's crude comments. Meanwhile when Kawi said he likes Pear, Pisaeng actually gave advice, support and his money to help his 1-day-friend/crush.
Tumblr media
So Not is out of the friends list – but Pisaeng can't truly be himself around Pear as well. He hesitates and finds excuses not to visit Pear's home because her dad will make him drink together – it's not drinking that's the problem, most likely it's all the implications that two families get along so well and they've got two pretty children and they should totally get married (one day many years later Pisaeng will lose all hope and finally agree, making them happy and sacrificing his own happiness).
Pisaeng enjoys Pear's friendship but he feels pressured and uncomfortable sometimes because Pear and their families (and all the students) force them into relationship without asking his opinion.
Tumblr media
(but the way we are reminded at this scene that Pisaeng feels very lonely despite having 'many' friends (that he deletes, leaving only ones he actually wants to talk to) and good looks (to get all the girls that he doesn't want) and 'figured out relationship' (that he has to deny all the time)  – and the way Pisaeng's face lits up right away when Kawi asks him if he wants to hang out together, nooo I have feelings)
Let me guess – Pisaeng never told anyone that he's gay.
Judging by how easy Not and his group told Kawi 'we thought you were dating Max', they definitely noticed the 'lonely loser guy' who sits at the back of the class and only has one friend with colored hair and fashionable look. I can only imagine all the things they thought of Kawi and probably stereotyped and joked about him – their homophobic words might be another thing that pushed Pisaeng to stop being friends with Not.
Judging by how Pear wants to date Pisaeng, he never told his best girl friend about his preferences either. He is open with himself now, he tells everyone he doesn't have feelings for Pear, they are not a thing, but nobody believes him. He doesn't want to hurt Pear either so he's trying to navigate it gently and avoid it when possible. Pisaeng has no one to confide in. And everyone and their mother thinks Pisaeng is womanizer. Ouch :((
But he suddenly befriended Kawi now, so he's happily flirting (maybe even for the first time – it's not girls who he's been charming, Kawi, he always tried to charm only you). Pisaeng is trying his best, he's enjoying Kawi's company and attention and all the cute whining and pouting just for him – it's just that Kawi is a complicated person with his own self-centered (for now) agenda and the luggage of time-traveling. Please bear with it, Pisaeng…
Tumblr media
And suddenly I wrote too much and I'm still at Part 1 of EP 3 and I wanted to talk more about Kawi so let me add other thoughts below xD

Sicktember #27
Prompt: Uncooperative Patient
Fandom/OCs: Wagon Train OCs (Dan and Ella)
Words: 1240
Sicknario inspo: Flu season sicknario E from this post.
Author’s comments/background: Ready their first story here. Another set of OCs that I thought would only ever have one story. And yet another doctor OC lol. ( I don’t have a problem, really…) I don’t write “bad” patients very often (and I should probably change that) but there’s no better candidate for a bad patient than a doctor. So have some sick, tired, self-sacrificing Dan and caring Ella.
~~~***~~~
It was the time of year when Ella hardly saw her husband. As the town physician, Dan was often gone all hours of the day, seeing to one ailing patient after another. It was part and parcel of the job he loved, and after all, this was why they moved west, so that he could continue to serve and treat people in the way he knew best. But the time of year when the crisp freshness of fall was grabbed away by the icy fingers of winter–the end of harvest season and the beginning of the long, miserable months of snow–was very trying for Ella and the children. Half the townspeople were either falling sick with fever or influenza or pneumonia and the other half were injuring themselves somehow or other as they prepared their barns and houses for winter, and all of them running their poor doctor ragged. This year the influenza was awful, and had already taken three poor souls, two old folks and a tiny baby. Dan was haggard and careworn, and Ella hardly less so for worry over him and everyone else.
One memorable day, Dan staggered in the door just as Ella was putting luncheon on the table for the children. He had come in the night before long after she went to bed and left before she woke, so she'd hardly seen him in two days. She greeted him warmly as the children squealed in excitement at the rare treat of having their Pa home at midday. Dan collapsed into a chair with a yawn. Ella served him a plate, getting a good look at him as she did. His color was awful; he was nearly gray with fatigue, the shocking circles under his eyes standing out in sharp relief. His nose was red, perhaps from the cold air, and the beginning of a beard was beginning to show across his chin and cheeks. He always neglected to shave when he was exhausted, not wanting to risk cutting himself with his shaking hands. She reminded herself to offer to do it for him when he had a moment of peace.
She carded her fingers through the hair around his ear, pressing a kiss to his head. He sighed in pleasure, but as his eyes flickered to hers, his attention was distracted by her visibly swollen wrist. He caught the wrist gently, pressing his fingers over it in an exploratory way. When she made a sound of pain, he gave her a questioning look.
"I tripped over a root in the yard and my wrist caught my weight when I fell. It's nothing to worry about."
"It's not broken. But why didn't you tell me? I can wrap it for you," he said, his voice husky and tired.
"You don't need to fuss over me," she said firmly. You've got enough to be going on with."
He kissed the hand below the injured wrist. "You and the children will always be my first concern. Anything you need comes before the rest of it."
"But you're so tired," she blurted out. "My needs are second to yours now. I wouldn't add anything else to your plate."
"Look at my plate, Mama!" crowed little John, and Ella's attention was diverted for the rest of the meal. Dan ate quickly and silently, aside from a husky dry cough that further worried his wife, and he seemed in danger of falling asleep at any moment. Ella also noted, though he tried hard to hide it, that he trembled with every movement. She didn't mention this right away though, wanting to wait until she could give him her full attention. Once the children were finished and cleaned up and she had shooed them away to play, she turned to her husband, but he had already stood and was pulling on his coat, making ready to go out again.
"Can't you stay and rest a while longer?" Ella begged. "Listen to the wind, there's a storm brewing. And you've hardly been home in days."
Dan shook his head. "I can't, lovely. I've got half a dozen folks to check in on yet. Long as there's nothing new, I'll hopefully be home before night."
Ella would have protested more, but it wasn't needed. As Dan turned to the door, a visible wave of dizziness overtook him. His knees buckled, and Ella watched him start to fall as if in slow motion. With speed she didn't know she had, she rushed to him and caught him before he hit the ground outright. Her injured wrist screamed in pain, but Dan suffered no harm as he crumpled into her, and at last she felt the scorching heat under his skin as his cheek met her neck. Her heart fluttered with anxiety, but she tried to keep calm.
She called for her oldest two children, and the three of them maneuvered Dan into the bedroom and into bed. The tall man was floppy and uncoordinated, but he tried to assure them that he was fine all the while. He let himself be put to bed, seemingly unable to do otherwise. Fearing the children would take ill too, Ella shooed them away again as soon as Dan was more or less settled while she went about trying to make him more comfortable, removing his boots and coat and tending to him with cold rags. He seemed to lose consciousness for a time while she worked to bring the fever down.
Some time later, he regained awareness. "Ella?" he mumbled.
"I'm here," she reassured him.
"What will I do?" he moaned. "I must go see my patients. They need me."
"I will send the children down the road to fetch Sarah and Samuel Gardner," Ella said firmly, having been thinking about it. "That pair has dogged your steps since they could walk, and with Sam in town again this winter to help his father on the farm, the timing is perfect. They can stitch wounds and give linseed oil and quinine and all the rest, and you can instruct them as needed from here until you're well. It seems you've picked up the influenza yourself unless I miss my guess, or something else just as nasty, and I won't see you get any worse under my watch."
Daniel nodded, cowed, or was simply too exhausted to argue. "Fetch the twins here to me, then, quickly," he coughed. "Before the fever pulls me under again."
This was done, and the young adults, eager and serious, received their instructions, then hurried away again with an urgency that seemed to ease Daniel's mind.
"They'll do well, never fear," Ella said confidently, watching them go. Then she turned to meet her husband's eyes. "And now you can rest and get well yourself. I'll not stand for you being uncooperative and trying to sneak away. Your mind must be on your own health now."
Dan nodded wearily. "As you say. I'm under your care." His eyes flickered open wider. "Though I'd still like to wrap your wrist if you'll allow me. I know I pulled it again when you had to catch me. I heard you gasp."
Ella smiled. He knew her too well, and was still taking care of her from his sickbed. "As long as you let me give you a shave. That stubble itches like the devil I'm sure."
A fever-hazed smile brightened his face for a moment. "It's a bargain," he agreed.
The Little White Horse: The Parson and Christianity
An analysis of the character of the Parson, and the Christian ideals written into the book
TL;DR
I don’t have a lot of issues with the Parson other than he kidnaps children.
“She got up, went to the open window and looked out. And this time the listener was not the small fairy like figure who had vanished like a dream, but a tall old man who came out from among the rose trees and came up to the window and held out his hand to her. It was Old Parson. Without a word Maria put on her bonnet and cloak, climbed up on the window sill, stepped out of the window, took his hand and jumped down beside him, and hand-in-hand and in silence they walked through the rose garden and the formal garden and out into the park.”
This is how children get kidnapped, okay? It’s not stranger danger, its people known to them, family members, family friends, trusted individuals within the community.
While present in the Mini-series, Moonacre, the Parson's role of telling Maria about the curse is replaced by a magic book, that continuously records the Chronicles of the Valley, and Marmaduke Scarlet, who tells her who to break the Curse.
That’s all I really had to say about the parson, and so I wanted to pair this section with my thoughts on the Christian undertones within the book.
For my credentials: I have attended Bible College, I have been going to church all my life, and I am still an active member in my church. I teach the children’s bible study on Wednesday nights, as well as helping and sometimes teaching on Sunday Mornings. I am qualified to talk about my religion.
I can only believe that the Christian ideals Goudge has, have been influenced  by the time and world she existed and was raised in. She was born in 1900 and passed in 1984, her father was Principal at a theological college, Sarum, that focused on courses in Christian Spirituality, Theology, Imagination and Culture, and later became Regius Professor of Divinity at the University. Goudge and her family were Anglicans, a religion that claims to be both Catholic and Reformed.
As mentioned in the summary, Goudge has this thing against female curiosity, vanity, and humility.
Her messages on pride and love fall short when paired with the predatory and abusive men she has written as her love interests. And her idea of sacrificing one’s pride is not asking the enemy for help to find peace, but literally lowering one’s self for the continuation of a society.
Our modern understanding of humbleness is almost that of lowliness, ‘oh no, I’m not that great, please, I’m only doing what I can’. When, in reality, that is not what humbleness is. An inflated ego, of claiming you’re something greater than what you are, is not being humble, in direct opposition, saying you’re nothing but the dirt under someone’s foot, is not humbleness either.
We can even use Jesus Christ himself as an example. How often does he proclaim himself to be the Son of God? Kind of every chapter. Jesus is not being self-deprecating, he is not lowering himself, he is saying exactly what he is and that is true humbleness.
What am I? Some great writer comparable to Shakespeare and Jane Austen? No of course not! But I know I am a good writer. Humbleness is acknowledging what you are, and not forcing yourself to be anything less.
Christians do teach the values of being a good servant, of respect, and not thinking highly of yourself, we should know that we aren’t gods, creators of the universe, worthy of praise and worship. The idea of lowering one’s self comes from this idea that we should love another and treat each other as equals, and yes that does involve sacrifice, putting others before ourselves, but that is not the lesson Goudge is teaching.
While the Parson is telling Maria the story of Sir Wrolf, he tells her that a Moon Princess must humble herself and her pride and marry someone poor so that she can bring peace to the Valley.
Now, in case you didn’t read in the summary, or in case you did and didn’t catch it, there’s no curse in Moonacre Valley. There’s no looming threat that the Valley is in danger. There is only the wickedness of the De Noir’s, the fight between Loveday and Sir Benjamin, and the stolen monastery. (Stolen by Sir Wrolf). So what exactly is the purpose of this?
It’s simply Ms. Goudge’s world views coming in contact with her work.
Again, it's the idea of lowering one’s self so low, of ‘humbling’ oneself, and putting aside their pride for the sake of others. The idea that a woman is expected to carry the world on her shoulders, of her husbands, her children, her families, her houses, of a thousand different responsibilities, and just taking it, allowing it to happen and putting aside herself to step into those roles.
The problem then arises that this is not a Christian view, but a sexist one.
In my personal view, I don't think the teachings of Jesus are sexist. He taught men and women alike, talked to women as equals, encouraged women to sit down and listen rather than do the work while the men got to listen, he said pluck your eye if it is causing you to sin in regards to men's lusting after women. The line that gets drawn, however, is when humans enter the equation. I think Christianity the religion is marred by sin, power hungry pastors, predators, and the idea that women are lesser than men.
I also think she may or may not have inadvertently written Maria as a sort of pseudo-Jesus, Moonacre Valley as Israel, and the De Noir’s as Sin and Death.
And I am quite serious about that, there are many parallels, which I may get into some other time.
IMPORTANCE OF RAHU AND KETU IN OUR LIFE
In order to understand the importance of Rahu and Ketu in our lives, firstly one need to understand the nature of rahu and ketu.
The understanding of their nature will help in deep understanding them in our lives.
Rahu is a greedy planet and believes in experiencing all kind materialistic pleasure of life, a law breaker in the society who do not believes in living like every people live in the society. A short cut finder to every work he undertakes.
Rahu is an illusionist and can fake things which are not real and that is the reason why rahu is smoky in nature as has got the great adaptability to change its shape as per the requirement and thus called as polymorphic ( Bhaurupi ).
Ketu on the other hand is exactly opposite of rahu, who believes materialistic pleasure as waste time, as the experience is only temporary and so it sacrifices the materialistic experiences and is spiritual in nature. Ketu believes in truth and try to re-invent oneself thru different quest of life. Ketu understands the meaning of doing penance to know the truth of the unknown.
Ketu actually seek and prefer solitude and loves to being alone, and remember that self-isolation is not loneliness, it just means you are taking time for yourself between regular social interactions.
NOW UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF RAHU AND KETU IN OUR LIFE :
Understanding the greed of rahu in positive and progressive way, Rahu is the driving force in our life.
Here we are understanding the greed of rahu in very very pure form as it gives rise to desire and it drive an individual for its achievement.
A man dreams to become an owner of a company, created a desire which drove him to that path to succeed as an owner of a company.
The father of a family works hard to see his family in comfort as he desires his children to achieve best in life. Here the desire act as the driving force of rahu in a pure form.
There are many rich people / industrialist in this world, do have the rahu driven qualities in them.
Ketu is the sacrificing force in our life when we try to understand Ketu is positive and progressive way.
In a very poor family one can find mother giving her share of food to her children so that they do not cry because of hunger. She does that sacrifice as she knew it is not a permanent act and a temporary fast is not bad for health, but definitely needed for her children as they are small / younger and priority is very important.
The mother feels very satisfied after her sacrifice of food and she do not even remember that she did not eat that day as she can detach herself from materialistic pleasure.
Here the detachment from materialistic pleasure is driving force of Ketu.
From the example one can understand how rahu and ketu gives their impact in our life and how they are so important.
Here I have emphasised the pure form of the nature of rahu and ketu ( try to understand my word ).
There are many NGOs who works selflessly for the community without caring for their own comfort and good style living.
Now one can see in our every day life the role of rahu and ketu and their importance as per astrology also.
In this article I did not mean that there is no contribution of other planets. Of course other planets also contribute to give a full meaning to a personality / nature and events in one’s life, but one of the driving force for a particular event and personality / nature in our life is this rahu and ketu.
Omg Those rich dubai/ German/ whatever men are participating in sexual humiliation rituals. Eating feces, Getting feces and puke inserted into your genitalia, these rituals they are doing are about spiritual destruction and then absorption. I think you call them warlocks or wizards? Male witches? They hate the feminine and hate Gods creations. They purposely seek out women who wouldn’t want to do this because that means her spirit is more pure and they delight in breaking our spirit. The more that we are aware of male witches the more we can recognize their presence and avoid them so God can destroy them.
My sister was approached by one of these men to party with him in France and then to go to Dubai with him. She said no but he kept insisting she come and just relax. He acted like it was an honor for her to be with him. She told him no and that she will never have sex with a man she isn’t married to and that she knew what goes on at these parties 💀 basically called him out and she told me that he looked like he was never called out like that before. S
...hmm sorry to burst your bubble, anon, but I don't think we can't "divine feminine" our way out of this one 🥴 This "divine feminine" thing is yet another new age crap repackaged and rebranded for femdom guru and dating coach. Think about The Secret, but rebranded for women.
Porta potty is only but one facet of satan worship. I think it caught a lot of attention because of how outrageous it was, and the FC misogynists had a field day mocking those women willing to get degraded to such extent for a few thousands $$. But don't get it twisted, there are also Madame to help this system keep going (Naomi Campbell is one of them btw). In one of the 2 stories I shared, it was a FEMALE friend who lured the OP into this. When it's men doing it, this may come off more obvious/suspicious (i.e your sister's reaction). In the story where the girl accepted the invitation from a man, homegirl seemed to have a very low self preservation instinct because even when she realized she was invited in what she thought was a "bunny ranch" she still didn't see any issue with that 💀 (and let's not even forget she was cheating on her boyfriend) so idk if she's much representative of a woman with "normal" boundaries
One of France biggest serial killer/pedophile, Michel Fourniret, used HIS PREGNANT WIFE (Monique Olivier) as a bait to lure schoolgirls into his house. And even after she birthed their kid, she kept using him to come off helpless/harmless to the girls she lured (asking her for help and to ride her car, etc). And the fucked up thing is that this child, who's now an adult in his 30s, is currently investigated for rape.... When we tell that generational curses are REAL! She said that she sometimes left her kid with the abducted girls in the same room.... I totally believe that witnessing the distress and fear of these poor girls rubbed onto him (even as a toddler) and it messed him up psychologically and spiritually. Monique Olivier took a life sentence for what she did. I personally do not believe that women in this "brand of activities" are prone to be more kind with sacrificed or abused children.
I remember the testimony of an Australian satanic cult survivor (Fiona Basset?) who said that she was raped by Nicole Kidman dad and that she saw Nicole Kidman make fun of her martyr (literally bursting out of laughter just before her). There's also another women who's a child ritual abuse survivor (I think she was german? or belgian?) said that in those sex parties, males as much as women raped and sacrificed those children, regardless of their sex or gender. I believe Chrissy Teigen is one of them. Forcefully aborting little girls, ribbing their womb apart, drinking their blood, handing over their own baby (or those of raped girls) to be sacrificed and eaten...
Morally corrupt women = a morally corrupt men. Satan has no gender. There's no "female solidarity" in this stuff. Those people soul are gone.
I agree that the participant unwillingness definitely contributes to the thrill of these human sacrifice sessions. Adrenochrome, etc. I heard the purest sacrifice was the one of an intelligent male child. I won't elaborate on this, but it's said that there's some portal in an*s that open door into the demonic realms. That's why p*dophile are so adamant raping children and s********* them. That's also why s******* is used in dissociation/MK ultra sessions. It really messes up people's psyche and Spirit. It's said that children who got sexually abused tend to age faster ; that's because their life force got sucked dry at a VERY young age. Look at that Desmond is Amazing kid, how TIRED he looked when he was only 10-11... I am SURE some dark hit happened to him- I really hope he's doing okay.
Now ask yourself why s******** is getting more and more normalized. How these "sex ed" classes tell that's okay and normal (it's not - 1)the an*s is NOT a sexual organ 2) is wired to only EVACUATE stuff, not receive it 3) over stimulating it develops incontinence problem. Someone ask old gay men how their poo poo sessions doing please *for educational purposes ofc*
PERSONA:    neek silva is a self proclaimed martyr ( and saint ) . wholly delusional and rich as fuck . if you’re lucky enough to be blessed by knowing him then you’re more than likely to end up being told all about what’s wrong with the world , a total dissatisfaction with any correction , neek is always seeking to improve on things and make the world a better place with little consideration for the little people that he affects along the way . in general though he is self - sacrificing , generous , creating and innovative but his head barely fits through the door . he can’t let any little trivial things stand in his way and he’s more than willing to leave pretty much anyone in the dust along the way - sorry guys ! neek isn’t the type of person that you want to make a permanent part of your life although he is a good catch in terms of net worth and moral value to the public appearance . he’s stubborn , stuck in his ways and always seeking a new adventure . he will never be satisfied .
LIFE   STORY:
neek silva had the fortunate to be born into a long line of socialites who made their money by simply feeding into the extravagance of being rich . he and his younger sister bluebell were the only children to their parents and were spoiled in every single fashion , loved wholeheartedly and given whatever their hearts desired . unfortunately , neek seemed to desire more than material possessions , his passions ranging from beginning in donating to the poor to becoming a vegetarian and calling his parents murderers every night at dinner . neek was no easy child and his behaviour escalated from simply verbal judgements to taking action against this wrong behaviour ; his parents were not best pleased but they still tried their best .
as they grew up , six years separated himself and his sister and he loathed her selfish , manipulative and fake ways . they could argue for hours on end and neither was able to identify a single thing that the other was doing right . he and his little sister were opposites in every single way and everything that was wrong with the world , neek believed was due to people like his family . now , don’t misinterpret neek for being a good person because in a way he was exactly the same as them … out of touch with reality and stumbling through life making decisions that negatively affected all around him and claiming he was doing it for good . when neek donated all of his parents clothes to charity , signed his sister up to be a guest speaker at the local church , invited the homeless into their mansion or dosed his mother in pigs blood to show that meat was murder … he might have thought that he was being a good person but he was actually just trying to force his beliefs on everyone else . over the years there was a certain friction growing and as he headed into his latter teens then that would come to a head , a number of arrests for activism , inciting protests , slander against corporations and rich families ; neek was causing great embarrassment to his family . still hanging on by a thread , the final straw seemed to be when neek publicly denounced one of their close family friends science foundation as morally wrong and claimed that during a break in he had seen that they were planning to test unknown substances on humans . of course , his claims were refuted but it sure did make a splash in the local news – had neek been right ? it was unclear , but , in his eyes , he was saving the world … or whatever . a few weeks later someone set fire to a tree in his parents front yard and he was told that he could either issue an apology or get out of their house and take his claims with him . he left .
neek felt after this point that he was a true joan of arc type character , a martyr who needed to be vindicated and appreciated ( very wholesome thoughts ) and headed out into the local community to his small following to continue causing a ruckus . he always started things but he never stuck around to see how it ended … peace to the people ! he was easy enough to get feathers ruffled but he only ever faced superficial consequences even without his parents , nobody really wanted to interfere with the rich boy who liked to scream and shout . his followers often ended up in way bigger trouble but they still loved him just the same . by the time he reached his mid twenties then he was touring the world doing humanitarian work and being hailed as a saint … even his parents were coming around although he still played his same old tricks , implying they were awful people unlike him .
WANTED CONNECTIONS .
rich people who know he’s also rich and think he’s a total idiot however he thinks he’s just on the moral high ground so they have to hate him
people who can’t stand to be around him but are allys in public for their reputations
ex husband/ex wife that wants to scream every time they see him. this probably stems from the fact that neek is a terrible partner who focuses all his energy on strangers rather than anything occurring in his personal life
friends who are involved in the same charitable activities although probably have better moral code than neek
someone who tells him off because he acts like an idiot
ok predictions/reactions to f-h (not negative necessarily?)
firstoff the banner itself
-shame abt the 17 stuff. imo its really fucking clear that the people in charge of f e as a whole hate the game for its more whimsical/shonen/super sentai tone of “friendship and understanding” and just want a cringey “angst” fest (aka angst that just excuses horrible characters) like 16 (and to be fair a lot of other things in the franchise too). but like imo its not the worst. the vas are clearly doing a good job and the artist too, and its cool and cute to see ivy in the game, even if its just a seasonal
-the others i dont rlly care abt. if i liked e ir at all i def dont after she screwed over an entire country and her presumable former friends there just because she found out her birth family’s world is a place she likes better. like its awful what she went through but imo she still killed a person for no reason when she couldve just told the truth, and even if it would have been painful she should have taken responsibility for her position. but whatever its very eh. and thats all my thoughts pretty much. actually suprised f jorm wasnt the duo but whatevs
-the new story/new oc: i was rooting for all 4 alfr to get resplendent/ect darn it! oh well. it looks like most likely peo and plumie will be the focus (which is good for me bc i love plumie but i wish tri would get good things too ; ; ) and hopefully tri and peo will actually get scenes together acknowledging their relationship as sisters (esp as it was alluded to in last years peo! gosh i hope so pls.) bc b4 screwed them over (esp tri) big time with its fruitless and nonsensical “plot twists”
-another thing that im really happy abt is that the temptri stories (except b3 for... reasons) tend to not involve the main cast of the game, which honestly is a breath of fresh air. b2′s one was horrendous bc of the dragons and the retcons, but it could have been so much worse. 3′s too if im being honest. e irs obsession w the main cast is... very regrettable but also understandable, so it wasnt too much detracting imo. im just hoping they keep this up with b4 and dont fucking involve those horrible and ridiculous “plot twists” from book 4. can we please just fucking forget any shitty changeling stories/plotlines in any media ever pls. (except m l p. youre cool you can stay. cough cough unrealistic expectations for this kind of story cough cough)
-that being said plumie + peo is hilarious and sweet. plumie calling her a little petal or something is so funny/cute. and my kasuplumie shipper heart is like “aw plumie took up nicknaming people from kasumi!” like this is character development done right take notes b2 temptri. i think itll be really wholesome if they do end up being the ascendants for this year, seeing them become friends. i would have liked tri but i feel like it also fits as the two of them are the more active of their groups (mira is really passive, and i feel like tri is more distant than aggressive like plumie is). so plumie being super jaded and scornful + peo being really caring with no strings attached and self sacrificing will be really wholesome to see if it comes to pass
-new character: interesting that theyre a rearmed but ok saitama face. people are saying maybe 4/5 next but i feel like it could be 17 (and add less royalty characters- maybe one of the younger siblings, the player character, side characters/enemy only? morion pls im politely asking). i think the best case scenario is theyre the queen from the past, that would be wholesome to have her actually meet kind friends in the alfr. kinda like another character i dont really have anything against her when she was a child- she kidnapped and forced children to work for her just bc they were poor and from a bad home life as an adult, but as a child she was abused by her peers and only treated well by her brother bc he wanted to marry her off to them. like her actually meeting nice people and getting standards would be great but idk if itll happen.
-also just fucking release that dirtbag in the next mythic. just let the memes die. im sick of this guy and ive been sick of him for years. glad hes not much plot relevant.
tldr the good news is i get to save orbs bc i spent them all on not getting shez wooo (sarcasm) (also donny is so pure im so glad hes the free unit!!!! get hype!!!)
