Boku no Hero headcanon #4

Jirou knows how to play most instruments, and learned multiple of them at once while growing up.

She usually plays guitar or bass, or the drums, but she actually knows how to play classical piano, violin, harp and cello and really likes this last one. They don't fit her punk rock vibe, so she usually hides this, but her parents have a wall of pictures of her as first chair in her city classical children orchestra, in various years.

She doesn't know how to play any instrument that requires breath, like flute, trumpet or clarinet. She's an absolute disaster, and she hides this with all her might. God forbid someone find out her only musical failure.

Her favourite instrument, contrary to popular belief, is not her electric guitar. It's actually her theremin, and she takes pride in her ability to play it. She likes the way it sounds, and how playing it looks like magic, like music is coming out of thin air through her hands. She makes it looks so easy, so fluid and natural, that Denki decides to teach himself how to play it too. I mean she just moves her hands how hard can it be? (He is an absolute disaster, and even with Jirou's help, he can't play it. Not even get a single musical note right. He decides it's impossible and the only reason Jirou can play that devil creation? Witchcraft)

She has an youtube channel just for her musical covers, and it's pretty successful. Her most viewed videos are the ones where she colabs with some classmate. Yaomomo plays piano beautifully, and their bohemian rapsody cover is by far her best video. She caught Bakugou singing quietly in the kitchen once, and has been trying to get him to colab with her since, but he threatened to blow up her theremin if she ever let anyone knows he sings, so she kinda gave up - for now.

She is The Queen of spotify playlists, and has one for each classmate, and a bunch of others, each one for a weirdly specific vibe. Mina teams up with her to create new ones, finding the perfect aesthetic and vibe, and letting Jirou go wild with the musics for hours. It's Their Thing. Not a single playlist is less than three hours long, and her rock playlist is over eight hours. She has a secret, extra playlist for Momo, and she's building up the courage to send her the link. It's five hours long, full of romantic songs, and is named "for the girl who stole my heart". Not even Mina is aware of this playlist.

- one of the cutest and badass throuples in school (plus one of the only-)

- study dates with one of jirou’s playlists playing in the background

- if one of you is having trouble with something the other two jump in to help immediately (homework, mineta, anxiety, etc)

- momo loves pampering you with gifts and taking you out to restaurants while jirou loves teaching you how to play different types of instruments

- ideal and most popular date with all three of you is cuddling in one of your dorm rooms and watching a movie, usually rotating who’s dorm room every time (or the living area with the bigger tv)

- being friends with almost everyone because of jirou being in the bakusquad and momo being in the dekusquad (the groups have fought over what group your in multiple times)

- momo and jirou had started off as a couple and after a while they realized they also liked you, they sat down, had a serious conversation to each other about how they liked you, and agreed that if you didnt accept they’d still date and the rest of you would continue to be friends

- both were so shy and anxious trying to tell you that they both ended up talking over each other and you had to kind of grab their shoulders to make them calm down

- you all agreed to try it out and things went from there, after a couple months of figuring things out (different boundaries for each of you, having separate dates, etc) you guys became an official throuple and announced it to class 1-a

- they almost threw a party to celebrate because FINALLY

- it being one of the only times bakugo says ‘congratulations’ (in his…usual bakugo way..)

Dramatic gestures all my ships have done in honor of valentines:

Kiribaku - Bakugou prepared a three course meal and served it by candlelight. Kirishima set up a hike with a romantic ending.

Kamisero - Sero found Kaminari’s favorite flowers and decorated his dorm. Kaminari put on a show to ask him out with music and choreography (Mina helped).

Momojirou - Momo handmade her a dress. Jirou wrote her a song.

I shall rate BNHA ships, because I have f e e l i n g s about some of them and I’m having a mental breakdown and hiding from my grandparents:

Tododeku: 10/10 bonding over similar traumas, we love to see it. I project onto both of them (does that make me self centered?) I love them both so much. They’re trying so hard please help them. They would help each other through their traumas and be such a power couple

Todobaku: 0/10 todoroki has been abused by his dad, who has a very fiery (pun intended) personality, and bakugou is a lil b*tch who thinks yelling will get him his way

Todomomo: 4/10 like I get it, and it’s cute, but I personally see them more as friends. Mlm and wlw solidarity. I do think that eventually it might be better. Right now Momo looks up to Todoroki so much and has a low self esteem, and todoroki seems relatively indifferent about everything, so I don’t personally think that’d be the best dynamic for a relationship. However, after talking a bit more and her gaining some more self confidence I think they would work well together.

Kochako: 0/10. I get that people want to say bakub*tch is a feminist because he didn’t go easy on Ochako, but the wench straight up thought izu planned the strategy and did not believe in her. He uses his all in everything and wouldn’t hold back if he was fighting a squirrel. Also, I will fight anyone who would hold back, Ochako is a powerhouse and I would die for her.

Izumomo: 8/10 okay man, this is cute. Like it’s not my favorite, but it’s cute. Izuku would help boost her confidence in her leadership abilities and how well she’s doing in general. Smart babies, couples who study together stay together I guess? Momo would also help try and boost izukus confidence in himself and they’d just work really well together 🥺🥺

Kiribaku: 0/10. I know a lot of you are going to hate me for that, but personally it makes me ✨uncomfortable✨ because kirishima was bullied for his quirk a lot, and bakugou bullied people for their quirks (or lack thereof) a lot. And honestly I just don’t think bakugou should be in a relationship until he’s gone through an anger management program and gotten therapy.

Bakudeku: -100/10 shipping a victim with their abuser is not my cup of tea thank you. Also, it reminds me of my abuser and my relationship with them, and I get ✨panic attacks✨ from that

Kirimina: 7.5/10 bruh,, it’s cute. Childhood friends to lovers. Also mlm/wlw solidarity. I go back and forth between wanting Mina to be a lesbian or wanting her to be bi though. But like,, overall it’s cute. Think if the chaos 😭👏🙌

Kirikami: 7/10 also very cute, 2 brain cells between the two, bless the himbos😭👏🙌

He blabbed about tokoyami liking izu and the boi looked like a tomato telling tokoyami that he liked him too. Personal headcannon but,, non-binary significant others

Iideku: 8.99/10 Iida is one of the few characters in BNHA who stood up for izu when bakugou is bullying him. Izu helped Iida through his feelings about stain and his brother, and I think they have good chemistry. I do think that Iida might need to be a little more relaxed in the rules before they could happen though? Ya know?

Izuchako: 7.5/10 pure, pure, pure. Personally it’s not my favorite, but I do get it. Very supportive of each other and would push each other to do their best. Would fight anyone who dared challenge the others honor. Bench press each other often. Have a good day

Dekutsu (I’m sorry I don’t know their ship name😅): 7/10 cute, green children. Compassionate, supportive, cute. Tsu is blunt, which is something izuku kind of needs sometimes. They’d just be so domestic and cute??

Shindeku: 10/10 Y E S ! ! ! Bonding through trauma againnnn! Insomnia squad again as well. Izuku trusts shinsou, which is something that he needs. Shinsou would understand where izuku is coming from with being bullied for your quirk/lack of a quirk. Chemistry is very good, we love to see it. Very supportive babies, I love it. Again, I project onto both of these characters, so like,, I don’t know

Both have lapsed social skills but in the opposite direction and I think they’d balance each other out.
