This was just going to be a “sister” piece of my Chloe post, But with the latest news I felt compelled to doodle my own version of Zoe with the cat Miraculous. But with the challenge of keeping the original hairstyle and colours. However this cat!Zoe is my au Zoe, so I didn’t take into consideration canon Zoe’s personal style. I named her “Copycat”

I don’t even care if her design isn’t good, I just wanted to get my version out first before the show could show any more. Yes I’m that petty.

Also I find it funny how she’s called Zoe and gets the black cat. Mew Ichigo’s name in the English dub is Zoe and she’s a black cat. I’m amused by the weirdest things

Powered up form n°2: Vesperia

This power up is a fun one for me, since it has a pretty much complete story.

Zoe starts her hero “career” as Princess Bee, who was vouched for by the OG Queen Bee as a replacement. And thus Zoe feels a great deal of imposter syndrome, believing she’s only here because of nepotism. This is reflected in her design and name, both paying homage to Queen Bee. So she needed to prove herself, not only to her peers but also to herself. That she deserves to be a hero, and deserves to love herself. And this may or may not include beating the snot out of a bad guy all by herself. And in doing so she gains her powered up form, and chooses a new name: Vesperia.

Powered up Vesperia can Venom multiple people at once, and also mind control the people she stings. Basically think of the Banana Boat scene from Beetle Juice. Exactly that.

This was also an opportunity for me to incorporate more elements from canon Vesperia into the look. I’m not gonna repeat everything I said on my Princess Bee post, but to summarize I really really like Vesperia’s design but it doesn’t fit Zoe. Zoe’s a little cinnamon roll, while Vesperia looks a little too cool and mature for that. This Zoe is 13, so Princess Bee is meant to look more cute than cool. She’s about 14-15 when she becomes Vesperia, so she’s a bit older and her tastes have changed. So now she gets her jacket, and that lovely warm yellow from her canon outfit. Since her wings are bigger she can fly a lot better now, so goggles are required to protect her eyes. Very important. But the pompoms will never change. That is a hill I will die on.

when the new characters are introduced.

They all had unnecessary hate at the beginning, but now the large majority of the fandom love them, so don’t jump to conclusions about new characters when you have not yet taken the time to understand them and their personalities, so be cautious of what hate blogs and hate bloggers say. The show is still going, so who knows what more we will learn about them. The characters may not have the large majority of the show revolving around them but they are really not handled badly, their all unique, they all have interesting personalities and quirks, their all entertaining and sooner or later, we all get attached to them.
