“Peter.”
The boy can’t even look Tony in the eye. Not because he’s afraid, but because he’s tired. Defeated. The most he does is glance at his mentor like a sad, curious puppy.
Tony can only smile.
“You’re doing great,” he tells him.
Peter looks surprised to hear that, as he raises his head a little and actually gazes at the man.
“I know you don’t believe it with how much you’ve been dealing with,” Tony details. “You might think you’re failing, but I see your effort. You’re a hero both at school and at home… and well, everywhere. And I’m proud of you.”
It’s like Peter hasn’t heard these words in forever.
Because his eyes grow deep, his lips quiver, he begins shaking. Tony can tell there’s a lot of pain in there, as Peter covers his mouth once he starts sobbing, so he doesn’t make much noise.
Tony kneels in front of the kid, opening his arms. Peter immediately launches himself towards him, hugging him so desperately, and sobbing so much that it must hurt. Tony hates imagining how long Peter must have kept it to himself. How long has he felt like a failure?
Peter is so much more than “good enough”.
He’s doing great, amazing, even.
And the kid needs to remember that more often.
Tony will make sure of that.

So I had an interesting theory that I wanted to share.
What if going into the Spirit World is what made Kuvira snap back to reality? So, bear with me, but I think it’s pretty clear that Kuvira’s mental state was starting to slip towards the end of B4. Especially after she fired on the warehouse where Baatar Jr and Team Avatar were. Though I personally think her decline started even earlier. Think about it, one by one, the people she trusted most turned on her: Varrick, Bolin, Zhu Li. These were people who had been by her side for three years, as they stabilized the Earth Kingdom and even helping her plan out the birth of the Earth Empire.
But then once they announce their shared dream, suddenly she starts loosing their support. You can’t tell me that that didn’t affect her in some way mentally and emotionally. Anyway, I’m sorry for rambling, I’ll get back to my point now.
What if being physically transported into the Spirit World, surrounded by all that spiritual energy, is what made Kuvira come to her senses? What if it “restored her inner balance” so to speak? Because once she was there, she seemed to understand what she was doing was wrong, and eventually surrenders herself to Korra. Of course realizing what she did was wrong and actually accepting it is very challenging, which is why we see her pleading not guilty in Ruins of the Empire.
I personally think it’s possible, we’ve certainly seen spiritually energy do stranger things before. But I’m curious to hear what you all think too.

Au where post canon Allura gets sent back in time to s1. Or so she thinks at first. But because she has no body in her own reality, her quintessence latches onto the closest alternative the second she can return to the universe. The differences are subtle. But as time progresses they grow more apparent. Her ‘future’ knowledge isn’t quite so handy after all.

May I hand you an estrella (⭐) in these trying times?
And...Hmmm...I, may or may not have something for you later...but character interactions...they are so hard. How do you plan them out? Does the welcome home crew simply live in your head and you repeat what they say? Or do you have to think on what they will say beforehand?
Either way, I hope I get them close enough!
holding your offered and beautiful sternchen with a white-knuckled grip <3 it will get me through the day
also im looking so so hard at this ask. Something For Me? little Me? a Something? my curiosity is piqued....

i actually think its really cute how Black Spy seems kinda open with his sexuality meanwhile White Boy,the "put-together" one, has this incredible closeted vibe. something magical is about to happen
I've always seen it as both initially being closeted, both trying to appear as straight as possible.
I think Black Spy puts a lot of effort into appearing to be attracted to women, especially if he thinks someone is making a move on him. It's so unnatural for him that he comes off as too exaggerated, as if he's trying so hard it becomes obvious he's playing an act. Whenever he attempts a romantic interaction with a woman, it *always* goes wrong for him. Even after a failed attempt at a relationship with a woman, he builds a robot to appear to have a girlfriend of some sort, and it still doesn't work out. Perhaps, eventually, he becomes more comfortable in expressing his true self... At least, as much as he can in an unaccepting environment. Perhaps in subtle ways, such as flagging in bars, i.e., the pool table title illustration.
White Spy, on the other hand, might be bisexual, and therefore, it's not as difficult for him to pretend to be attracted to women. There's actually a sense of genuineness in his edeavors. However, he might not have his heart set on any particular woman but rather for his enemy. Take, for instance, when he agrees on one of the causes for his dreams of Black Spy being his own repressed sexuality. (This could have also been a case of projection, as Black Spy was the first to even mention it whilst in disguise.) The tension he feels may build up over time, eventually coming to his undoing. He's so put-together on the surface, but once confronted with his attraction, he might become a total mess. Perhaps the opposite may be true for Black Spy.
It may start out as a Distaster Gay vs Distinguished Bisexual situation, slowly growing into a Distinguished Gay vs Disaster Bisexual one. Only relatively speaking. They're both absolute messes of men.
The two may be stuck between wanting to be themselves and express their true feelings towards each other and not wanting to be outed to their embassies and society at large.
It becomes more difficult with the added layer of them not only falling for a man in a homophobic society but for a man working for the enemy. Even if their environment becomes more accepting over time, they'd still be at risk of being charged for treason over their relationship.

Ghoap tangled au.. but when they almost drown..
Ghost is actually.. surprisingly content with it. Fine he's lived a life. Not that good of a life but it sure was something. He's okay with it ending. He glances over at Soap though, and feels an ache in his chest. He wants to do something, say something, suddenly he feels like it can't just end like this.
"My name is Simon Riley." He blurts out. Stupid, why did he do that, that sounded so fucking stupid.
"What?"
"My name. It's not Ghost. It's Simon Riley."
Soap just looks at him bit weird and scratches his neck.
"Well.. me hair glows when I sing."
Ghost's turn to gawk, "What?"
"Y'know. Me hair glows when I sing. 'S been doing it since I was a wee lad and- oh my hair glows when I sing!" The water is up at their necks at this point.
And so sing he does. As quickly as he can, he chews through his words and in his hurry it doesn't come out good, or smooth, or anything nice but the water fills the small cavern all the way up and there's no chance to try again.
They hold their breath, waiting. Nothing happens. They're gonna die here.
And then everything around them lights up.
It's a struggle to the surface but they manage and set up camp for the night. Ghost doesn't say much, just like most of their adventure so far, so Soap goes back to filling the silence with idle chattering about this and that, settling for the occasional hum in acknowledgement from him.

I love how it's not a fic/ story of the reader isn't stupid/ dumb. Like it's just the rule of thumb for you and I love it. Like they just have to be at least somewhat dumb.
It is FUNDAMENTAL to their character for them to be denser than a gotdam neutron star. If they aren’t dumber than a brick then what is even the fucking point
(Also it’s very fun to write AND I get to make some Stupid People Representation for my fellow “fairly smart but also dumb as hell” persons out there)
