Decided to do something a little different and share what I think are the bad personality traits for my OTP:

Korra is impulsive. She’s gotten better about it after everything she’s been through. But she still has moments when she doesn’t really think things through, and she’s not very patient. She also tends to take her failures very personally. Even if she doesn’t have control over it, she still feels like it’s her fault. She also has some anger issues, though she’s not as hot tempered as she was when she was younger.

Kuvira is fiercely independent. She has a hard time letting people help her, especially when she’s injured/sick. She’s also very stubborn and struggles with admitting when she’s wrong. She’s a sore loser too, and tends to be very competitive.

Presumed Dead

This might be a niche interest but personally I love when a kidnapped character has been mia for months, maybe even a few years, to the point when everyone else in their life has basically run out of gas trying to find them. They've tried everything. No leads. The authorities have stopped searching, everyone has called it quits. They've all mourned and grieved and cried, but basically they've all started trying to pick up the pieces and move on with their lives.

Only for the bad guy who captured the kidnapped character to whip them out as the ace up their sleeve in a negotiation when their own back is up against the wall. And not even prefacing it with a "Would you like your friend back?" or a "What would you do if I told you X was still alive?" Just showing up to the negotiation with X in tow, bound and gagged and in what is clearly an agonizing amount of pain, but somehow they're still breathing, after all this time...

Kind of a tiny rant inspired by my previous post, but I’ll forever be mad at the people who love saying that Kuvira “got off easy” while totally ignoring Baatar Jr was basically not really punished at all. If he was then it was way less severe than what Kuvira herself got. Like let’s not forget that he was in full support of everything the Earth Empire did. Not only that, he literally helped build the technology that made it possible in the first place. Yet most of the fandom only ever blames Kuvira, as if Baatar Jr wasn’t her right hand man/fiancé.

Say what you want about Kuvira but she’s the perfect example of “the path to hell is paved with good intentions”.

She started off genuinely trying to help people, but she was misguided along the way. She was too extreme, and let the power get to her a little (okay, a lot).

I think her redemption arc was deserved, and I also think that not enough people slam Bataar Jr. for his actions. I for one think that he deserved to be locked up as much as Kuvira did, and only squirmed his way out of jail because he was Suyin’s daughter.

‘But Kuvira ran re-education camps!’ she already said she genuinely didn’t know that people were being brainwashed, and that she should’ve done a better job monitoring said camps.

I just don’t understand how some people can like certain villains like Amon for example, and turn up your nose on Kuvira and even Azula.
