The Ainur | With A Short Reader
Tumblr media
Request: Can I make a request for headcanons for how the Ainur would be with a short human reader? Around 5 foot tall? Like an elf of about 6 feet would only reach up to some of their chest or lower still, considering they’re like 7-9 foot tall. Would they be cute, teasing, protective, frustrated by the height difference? P.s. I love the way you characterise all the Ainur, it really feels like their personality, you do a fantastic job. - anon
A/N: Happy to fulfil this request and learn that you enjoy my characterisations of them anon. I tend to envision the Ainur as nothing less than nine feet since they are deities and display their power through their heights. So you’re going to appear super short next to them. Nonetheless, Enjoy!
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Manwë
The bird was too stunned to speak. Are you a child or dwarf, certainly that could not be your final height at the end of your growth? Unfortunately, it is your complete height which makes you appear as a little bird before the great King. Now his nickname ‘little bird’ makes more sense.
He cannot fathom how you can be the same size as a bean and packed with all that sass whenever he mentions how tiny you are. You require a ladder if you ever reach his head for a ‘level-headed’ talk.
Has no issue picking you up with one hand and carrying you around like his personal comfort toy when he’s having a bad day. Anyone commenting or teasing gets a look that speaks about them receiving a bolt of lightning.
Let us not forget his avian side which is going to fawn over how adorable you are. You’re tiny and squishy, perfect for belonging in his nest where he can shower you in affection all day long.
The size difference is outstanding. Just picture a baby lying in their parents' bed, looking like a little nugget among the pillows…that’s what you appear like anytime you snuggle in his bed. On numerous occasions, he didn’t see you and almost squished you under the sheets.
With your size, it means wearing his robes and marching around his room or Ilmarin pretending to be him while he silently watches from afar. You are drowning in his robes, don’t even wear his shirt, it’s a gown on you.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Irmo
Your size doesn’t change the way he’s going to shower you with ultimate love and affection. Apart from the minor teasing he’ll conduct for the fun of the situation, Irmo loves you the same way if you are tall.
A gentleman who enjoys using the opportunities when granted to lift you over puddles or streams so he can fawn over how you fit in his arms. He (and the others) can lift you with his pinkie and has done it before.
You are authorised to always sleep on his chest—you look like a kitten sleeping on his chest in his eyes—mainly because you like to roll and so does he and nothing good has arisen from you both rolling together.
Gets lost in crowds and he panics. He’ll be walking around asking if anyone has seen his little lover and he will give descriptions. “They’re about 5 feet, this short and very tiny. They look like an elfling…”
Saw children’s clothing on a walk with you in a boutique, did not know they were for children and excitedly stated, “Oh look! I believe these would look lovely on you! They even have your colours.”
Do not be upset with him, he didn’t know that it was children’s clothing. Irmo only wished to share the moment of shopping with you. But worry not, he gathers the best seamstresses and tailors to fashion you the finest wear that looks nothing like children’s clothes.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Námo
Has a smile on his face anytime you take the lead and walk in front of him, hence his reason for always telling you to lead the way. He’s a simple Vala, he wants to watch as you waddle like a duck with your short legs as you take him to Eru knows where.
Pretends to complain when you ‘borrow’ his robes because you missed him, but gushes mentally at the sight of how you’re drowning in his forever monochromatic black robes.
His viridian eyes were soft at the sight of you walking around, dragging his robes all over. The idea of complaining about getting them dirty has disappeared, and all he is thinking about is how you look like a penguin.
Your feet running across his halls are the equivalent of tiny pitter-patter and it’s how he can easily distinguish your presence; just listen for the tiny footsteps. But it never works out well when you’re among elves and lost in a crowd.
The first time you met his brother, Irmo mistook you for a child Námo adopted and congratulated his brother on softening up to the idea of children. To make matters worse, you played along—much to Námo’s annoyance—and clung to his arm, calling him ‘atar/daddy’.
Irmo was elated, you were dying of laughter and Námo was contemplating his life. He couldn’t believe this was the humour he signed up for the moment he fell in love with someone shorter than most individuals.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Ulmo
Mistook you for the child wandering the shores the first time he saw you in the distance and scolded you for playing in the deep waters without parental supervision. That was until he learned you weren’t a child and your permanent height for a lifetime.
‘Pebble’ was the most suitable nickname he gifted you since pebbles were small and cute…like you. Plus, he brings you pebbles, seashells and pearls from the ocean floor as a token of affection.
Because you’re smaller, your strokes as you swim alongside him are slower, so he’ll call the seals, dolphins or whales to swim alongside you for assistance. You’re even allowed to ride them anytime you two are swimming out in the depths.
Since Ulmo’s true form is staggering, he opts to appear around the same height as you are anytime he has to walk the earth. His favourite place to have walks would be the beach obviously.
Hand holding while watching the sunset and he’s quietly staring at your short fingers holding his larger hand. He loves holding your hand to fawn over the size. He would even slip on a cute ring with a pearl one day.
Because Ulmo is known for having no resting place as he wanders the waters of the world, he enjoys visiting your home. It’s even better if you live near a lake for him to have easier access to seeing you frequently. Cue Ulmo marvels at how small your household items are as he picks them up.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Oromë
Congratulations, you are the perfect size to sit on all of his creatures (and him) to ride through the forest with him. He cannot get over your tiny figure because he knows that you’re about the same size as an elfling and all his creatures are larger than you.
Roughhousing is a thing that occurs between you both and he gets caught up in the experience to forget how easily he can send you on a trip to Estë for healing…because it has happened multiple times.
Picks you up like a sack of potatoes and slings you over his shoulder when he has to carry you somewhere and you’re being troublesome, or he wants to randomly surprise you. You’re as light as a feather as he runs with you through the forest.
Swinging from his muscular arms anytime he flexes his muscles for you? Yes, yes you do, and he loves it. Fuels his ego to know that he’s strong and his lover can climb him like a tree. Clinging to his muscular physique and probably biting him? Yes, you do that he calls you a tiny beast who needs to be tamed.
Not the type to underestimate the size of a creature you can ride because of your size but is also cautious at the same time. Wanted to gift you a Shetland pony because you were small enough to ride one, but back out last minute knowing that he would receive an earful. Gave you a giant-sized tiger or dog as a companion.
You wear his pelts and pretend to act like him, attempting to wield his bow—sweetheart, you couldn’t even draw the strings—as though you were hunting.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Tulkas
No different from Oromë and will playfight with you using the strength in his pinkie finger and you’d still have to bandage some body parts because accidents happen all the time. No worries though, he praises your injuries and makes you feel as though you fought a great battle with him.
He has no doubts, dismisses your strengths and associates them with your size having seen many great warriors display outstanding strengths and feats despite their size. Instead, he encourages you to take pride in your size and all the greatness you can accomplish.
You got a workout buddy, or rather he got a new dumbbell to lift or someone to sit on his back for push-ups. Your weight is inconsequential, but it doesn’t stop you from enjoying the fun in the moment.
Also picks you up like a sack of potatoes and carries you around the place, introducing you to all his close friends and elves. Anytime you need to speak ‘eye-level’ with him, instead of going to lengths to climb tables or a tree, he’ll kneel to your level.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Melkor
Getting called dwarf, child, or both the first time you meet will result in him changing the names and calling you a critter if you attempt to attack him for calling you short. Probably ‘ankle biter’ might be your new name because he denoted that small things have the most rage.
You’re a ferocious ankle-biter in his eyes whose nerves he enjoys getting on because your responses are hilarious. It’s all in jest…or maybe not.
Nothing of his will ever fit you, that also means trying to wear his crown with the Silmarils. It’s currently sitting on your neck as we speak. All you can do is make versions of his outfits tailored to your size.
You’re smaller, so his hands can cover your entire face. Know what that means? Squish your cheeks as you speak to admire how soft and dough-like they are. “Hm, ankle biter, you have remarkably soft cheeks,” he says while squishing your face.
There’s nothing you can climb on to meet his height because he makes sure that there isn’t anything around. He wants you to break your neck looking up at him (bite his ankles and he’ll reach your height).
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Eönwë
“You’re like a hummingbird minus the speed,” he chuckled upon the first sight of your tiny figure. You were lucky he didn’t consider you a lost child who wandered before him in search of help because he was ready to call you ‘child’.
I have to say, Eӧnwё is the best person to try the same ‘daddy’ prank on when you’re walking through the streets of Valimar but clinging to him and acting like a child for the elves to fawn over how adorable the interaction is. There is always an elf who inquires for you to look them in the eye and say, “This is my atya!”
His avian side adores your tininess; and makes you all the more delicate and squishable. You are never again going to leave the nest…just joking, but his protective side goes up a notch because you are TINY.
I mean, he loses you in a crowd easily and you can’t even jump high enough to show your location. You can climb a table or chair but still have to get past the sea of heads before Eӧnwё spots you.
Gets you the smaller version of everything so you don’t have to struggle with holding the larger objects. He once watched as you climbed a chair as if it were a mountain or fought with a glass of wine because the glass was too big to hold.
At least going on flights doesn’t change whether you’re extra small or bigger. Visits in the morning and takes you to watch the sunrise over the mountain from a bird’s eye view.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Tilion
Doesn’t matter if you’re tiny or tall, you still look the same from his view in the sky as he guides the moon. But he does melt at the sight of you looking up at the moon.
You are forever his ‘little deer’ even though you’re probably feisty and love to bite or nibble on his arms all the time. Similar to Oromë, carries you around like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder, but more for the fun of watching your short legs dangle.
Doesn’t alter the size of any furniture so he can observe your legs dangling over the edges and sway, or the size difference between you and the table designed for a nine-foot entity.
Roughhousing is a constant must-have between you both because he adores pinning your smaller body under his and making you fight back. Tilion just wants to watch you struggle and wiggle like a worm. Bite him.
Puts you to sleep on top of him because it is the safest option unless you want to be crushed under a giant nine-foot Maia, and you look like a tiny kitten curled up on his chest. The only thing he hasn’t done is pick you up by your scruff.
He’s such a tease when it comes to you both riding through the forest. Tilion will purposefully place you behind him so you can’t see a thing and then tease you about being too small. But it’s all in jest because he’ll have you ride an elk or reindeer or even a pony that was handpicked to match your size.
Tumblr media
๋࣭ ⭑⚝ Mairon
He also assumed you’re an ankle biter as well because he called you short and you were ready to attack. Please, do not release him from your tyranny because he will make fun of your height and pat your head or rest his arm atop your head when he’s resting. Again, bite him.
Complains about your short legs and how slow you are when you’re walking side-by-side but comes to you later to ask for assistance because some tool of his fell into a small hole and you’re tiny enough to get it.
Tells you that he’ll feed you to his wolves if you don’t stop clinging to him when in truth, he loves it. You’re small enough to not be a distraction as he moves about his forge or the fortress, but it’s just Mairon being a tsundere.
Doesn’t see you lying in his bed because his bed is huge and you’re extra small, so he almost lies atop your body. It’s turned into a staring match like how children stare you down without blinking.
Has a tendency to carry you around, for funsies, by holding onto your belt or grabbing the back of your clothes so you dangle as he powers through the corridors until he arrives at his Lord holding you like a briefcase.
Deep down, as much as he teases your size, he enjoys the differences. Watching you fight to lift an object made for his size or dress in his clothes—if you’re brave enough to try this—is entertaining.

Imagine being raised by Sauron
Tumblr media
(This was born out of a thought what it would have been like for a sauron to look after a human child and living in his protection. There’s a little joke in here, see if can find it. Hope you enjoy,)
Warnings: Mentions of a lost childhood, illnesses, dead parent, living as a child servant, a bit violence, mentions of injuries, lack of food and final goodbye.
--------------------------------------------------
-It all began after your mother’s death.
-You and your mother found a man while returning home. He was wounded and stranded in the forest, so your mother took him in out of kindness.
-He was an odd fellow. He was beautiful but didn’t talk much. He often just lay in bed, resting and staring out of the window.
-He didn’t refuse the help your mother gave him, but he did refuse to talk about how he got into such a state.
-Your mother said he must have gone through something hard, and if he didn’t want to talk about it, it was only polite not to bother him about it, so you never did.
-It didn't stop your innocent mind from being more curious, though.
-You have heard a lot about elves, and he had pointy ears, so you couldn't help but ask him if he was one and what it was like being part of a beautiful and the wisest race upon middle earth.
-He only chuckled and said he was something else, something more than an Eldar.
-His answer confused you, but he began talking more after that.
-He spoke about magical things like valars and mystical creatures like wolves and dragons and that there was more than meets the eye with the elves. You were fascinated and listened like he was telling stories.
-Your thoughts about elves changed when you heard him describe how they killed their kind for the sake of jewels.
-He told you you should be careful if you ever cross an elf. They could be worse than humans.
-He often scared you with these stories because you believed him. He found enjoyment in your fright, then consoled you not to take him seriously. The stories might be true, but he just has a dark sense of humor.
-He was then comfortable enough to give his name. Mairon.
-He sometimes asked about you and your mother and why your father didn’t seem to be around. It seemed unusual for a mother to do things all by herself.
-You explained your father wasn’t a good man and ran off with another woman. You and your mom didn’t have anyone else, so it has just been you two.
-You admired your mother, for she worked hard to provide food on your table. Even though: it was rough, and you weren’t very wealthy.
-Treating guests well was a prominent rule in your house, so you apologized for not being able to provide the best things for him, mainly when he was injured.
-He said he did not mind. The world was cruel, even to most innocent people. He was going through some time, so he was grateful enough to have something, then nothing.
-At that time, you thought you made a friend and often kept him company with stories and gossip you heard from the town’s people.
-You didn’t bother him when he was sad and stared out the window. He once told you he was just missing someone, so that’s how you knew your friend was sad whenever he stared out the window.
-All looked well. Mairon got better and was even standing, walking around the house sometimes, and he eased your mother’s burden by watching you when she needed to visit the town.
-Those were fun times since you tended to pull him along to play some games.
-He didn’t get most of the games you liked. He just tried to find the logic behind them and was straightforward. And he cheated most of the time, finding enjoyment in your little anger.
-It was okay because you didn’t get his games either. He liked games with wits and brains, but they were too challenging for a nine-year-old to understand.
-It was pretty chaotic, but in the end, you two found some enjoyment in the games.
-Days started to pass, and your mother became sick. She was constantly tired, sweating, and coughing. She barely had enough strength to walk.
-You tried to encourage her to rest and make her feel better with herbs she used to feed you whenever you were sick. Mairon helped with cooking since you were too tiny to handle a burning pot.
-Your mother did not get better, and Mairon then told you she was not suffering from an ordinary cold.
-He then explained she would pass away and go somewhere far away. Somewhere she couldn't come back from even if she wanted to.
-You didn’t want to believe it at first, but as time passed, your mother was on her death bed. She said the same thing, and at that moment, you couldn't deny it any longer.
-She asked Mairon to look after you or at least find a new home and people willing to take you. If he did that, she would be grateful and consider it as repayment for taking him in.
-She hugged you and bid her heart-filled goodbye as she passed away.
-You laid there with her, hugging and crying until her body became cold, and Mairon told you to come with him.
-You tucked your mother like she always tucked you and left the house with Mairon.
-Outside, you witnessed as Mairon set your home on fire with a flicker of his fingers. You felt dread to see your home burn while your mother was inside it, so you asked for a reason why you couldn't bury her.
-He said your mother’s spirit would be free that way and not trapped under the earth. It was also her and your house, so it was to make sure no one would use it and possibly stain its memory.
-And you possibly wouldn't want them both to rot away in time if you just left them there.
-You found it reasonable and thought your mother got released from the pain, so it was good for her. Fire always brought light and warmth.
-You didn’t know what to think after all that.
-You traveled with Mairon for some time, stumbling behind as he just kept walking.
-You two end up finding a city of some sort. It was big and bright. You have never seen anything like it before, and it scared you.
-Mairon told you to try your luck there finding a new family to provide for you. It might not be easy, but people surely wouldn't leave a child alone.
-You were scared to go alone and asked if he could come with you.
-He said he couldn't because some people don’t like him. It could end badly for you if people saw him around you.
-You weren’t certain what to think about that statement, and since you trusted him more than anyone, you asked if you could go with him instead. He said it himself the stories about elves and humans were true, so would you be safe in that place on your own?
-Mairon thought about it for a while, then gave you an offer.
-He did have a debt to pay to your mother so he could look after you, but if you came along, you had to be ready for things you might not like because people didn’t see him like how you saw him. If you listen to what he says, he will ensure nothing can hurt you, not even the vilest thing on earth.
-However, he will look after you until you were old enough to care for yourself. After that, you two will go separate ways, with no discussion.
-You agreed because you trusted him that time.
-You did not imagine how the years went by his side as his true identity became clear to you and what he meant by people seeing him differently than you.
-He became known as Sauron. He was a maia and a former lieutenant of the dark lord Morgoth, or Melkor, as he did not like his former master preferred that name.
-He schemed against the people of middle earth, making plans to dominate the world and raising his armies in the shadows.
-And you, well, you became his servant.
-You didn’t do anything drastic like the orcs or chieftains of his armies. You just tended to personal things like cleaning, sorting the documents, and being a cup holder. You were just a servant.
-He kept you out of the scenes most of the time, but it didn’t stop some gossip from moving around about a strange human child serving the dark lord.
-It didn’t cause harm, but it was unnerving.
-Mairon gave you a room to sleep in and better food and sometimes educated you. It was to slowly prepare you for the world until you hit the age to go on your way.
-It was tough to live around in those conditions, and there wasn’t a day when orcs didn’t scare you to the bones.
-During your youth, you witnessed a lot and slowly developed your sense of right and wrong. People and creatures under Mairon’s rule were horrible and cruel, and you have seen what they do to prisoners.
-You didn’t try to resist or voice out how wrong things were because Mairon looked after you and made sure no one touched you without getting punished.
- One time, an orc captain thought it was a good idea to grab you roughly while saying insults. You were just trying to serve some wine, so he scared you out of your wits.
-Mairon had the orc restrained, and he slowly tortured the creature while teaching others what would happen when they dare to touch what is his, in this case, you.
-You were his little servant, so no one else has the right to command or handle you.
-It was scary, but he made sure you were alright and tended to your injured hand in his odd way.
-At that time, you realized how lucky you were compared to others who got forced to serve there.
-When time passed, you grew up to be quite knowledgable, then Mairon gave you an offer of learning tactics and self-defense.
-You agreed because you thought it was necessary to know how to defend yourself, especially since you were gonna go on your own one day.
-When your training began, Mairon and the instructors didn't go easy on you. It was highly demanding, and most of the time got sent to the healers with bruises and broken bones.
-Whenever you managed to pass their tests, the training gets harder and harder. It was stressful, and sometimes you just cried in silence to handle it. You were a stress crier.
-It was easy to learn how to use the bow, and you became good at using a sword. It was your favorite weapon.
-Mairon taught you tactics and gave you tasks to solve puzzles and riddles. He told you recognizing the tactics of your enemies would be beneficial and how to outsmart them without brawling.
-His games and tasks were challenging, and if you failed to solve them. The reward of your failure would be days without food, so you worked your brains for it.
-One of the odd lesson he had given you was how to do make up and eye liner. There wasn’t a peculiar reason. He said there was no reason not to do things with style.
-In time, you did manage to grow your ability in tactics enough to outsmart him a couple of times and win in the chest once. You hated that game.
-It was then that he deemed you were ready.
-You have grown up into a young adult in their twenties, good with weapons and independent enough to care for yourself.
-Mairon had gifted you a sword he made himself and personally sent you off to live your life.
-He had deemed it was the end of his debt to your mother and will no longer look after you. It was now your responsibility to care for yourself.
-You thanked him for everything he had done for you. Even though; you did not agree with his ideals, you wished him good luck.
-Mairon said you were free to do anything you liked, but he would not hesitate to harm or even kill you if you dared to get in his way. If you killed orcs out of self-defense, it was fine, but as long you carried the sword. It will send a message to leave you alone.
-You heeded his advice and bid him goodbye for the last time.
-It was strange to be around your kin and elves. You haven’t interacted with them for the longest time, and it felt like you swam around in stranger tides with all new fishes and possible predators.
-You managed to get around it and get a decent life among them.
-Rumors and stories about Sauron emerged, and you watched from the sidelines as he did horrible things with his orcs and soldiers of darkness.
-You did not know how to feel about it. You should feel anger for all the wrongdoings, but you can’t help but feel sorrow since you grew up under Mairon’s protective wing.
-You never did grow to hate him like all others. Maybe you still felt some familial bond with him as you have known him all your life, and now you’re on your own. You had no one else.
-You only had memories and thoughts about him, so you tried to move on with your life. It might be challenging, but you will manage as it was your turn to look after yourself, writing your own story until it was time to reunite with your mother.

Okay hear me out.
We have hobbits and wizards smoking pipes in Tolkien's work and adaptations, but where are the cunty smoking options for villains??
Like, I NEED Mairon smoking some fucked up poisonous herbs through a device that looks like one of those elegant long ornamental cigarette holders or opium pipes.
God, I wish I could draw.

Oh my gods oh my gods!!!
I was inspired by Davos from Game of Thrones talking about Shireen and I thought it fit for Aulè yelling at Melkor about Mairon/Sauron and about how Melkor "killed" Mairon and manipulated and killed his beloved Maiar to create Sauron.
It may go something like this!:
Aulè: "You killed Mairon!"
Melkor: "I did no such thing-"
Aulè: "I loved that boy... like he was my own... he was good, he was kind, and YOU KILLED HIM!"
. . .
Aulè mourned for Mairon the way a parent mourned for their child...

The Ainur | With Reader Experiencing Panic Attacks
Tumblr media
Request: I've been like an overexcited Buddy the Elf since you announced requests open, I love them so unbelievably much, they make my week and sometimes my month. So if I may please make a little request... how do you think the Ainur would react if the reader suffers from panic attacks? - anon
A/N: I went with the classic bunch I usually write for, however, I found it difficult to come up with something for Melkor (because I couldn't picture him being patient or soft enough? Idk, if that's just me). So he’s out in this one. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Manwë
As someone gentle and nurturing when it comes to dealing with others, Manwë would be a wonderful individual to assess your panic attacks when they strike. Whether they come in waves of frantic panicking or silence, he’s observant and on the lookout for when an episode can arise. Hence why he has a hand in certain activities in your day-to-day duties to reduce any form of stress that would bring it on. This also extends to arranging secluded spots where you can be at peace and blend into nature.
If your panic attacks derive from traumatic events or stress, the Lord of Airs will do his best to ensure that you are never placed in situations where you can relive or entertain such build-ups. His eyes are always on your figure, not too close nor too far, as he observes the people you communicate with and the level of work you handle.
All in all, you’ve got someone who would invite his little bird friends to perform melodies to ease your pain, or the Lord himself would engage in leisurely activities for your sanity.
Tumblr media
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Irmo
The moment he enters you spot your figure, he’s aware that something is off. In fact, it was the reason why he was drawn to your presence in the first place, high levels stress of radiating strongly. Irmo would be worried about the blank look on your face as you’re staring off into the distance and your body slumps. He’s more familiar with the frantic forms of panic attacks, that this other outcome has him slightly worried. Just how much stress or possible trauma were you under at that very moment.
Communicating with you by calling out your name would come surprisingly at ease as you take glances at him with a lethargic expression. He could see that in your mind, thoughts were raging war rapidly to the point you could barely keep up with a single focal point, and he understood how you felt at that moment. He is tender and gentle as he calls out to you and informs you that he’s going to hold you closely to help bring you back into reality.
With Irmo, you get the opportunity to spend lots of time in his gardens to soothe your mind. He practically opens it to you and invites you to use it when the thoughts in your mind are colliding and creating a frenzy. There are moments, when he would pay you a visit as you’re relaxing to hold your hand and reassure you that he’s here and you not drifting off deep into your thoughts.
Tumblr media
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Námo
The Lord of the Dead would find the situation unfamiliar to him since his profession deals with souls and not of the flesh. When he faces you in your panicked state, panting and gasping for air as your eyes flutter like a storm around the room and clinging to some surface, his first thought is that you were harmed. Quickly rushing to your side, Námo would attempt his best to pacify your erraticism, placing his hands against your face to get you to focus on him while guiding your hands to his face to anchor yourself back to earth. It breaks his heart to eventually learn that it wasn’t an injury but rather a panic attack once his brother accessed your health.
As Námo now learns of what a panic attack looks like and has become familiar with it and how it can arise, he would arrange with his brother to pardon you visitations to his garden for peaceful moments while he was busy attempting to create one at his domain to surprise you upon your return. It’s difficult for Námo to find breaks in between his duties, but he tries his hardest to meet with you and spend more time conversing about any problems or possible traumatic experiences that can cause your panic attacks.
He would remedy incense, teas, and music for you, under the assistance of his brother and Lady Ëste. There would be more breaks in your schedule if stress is the cause and a higher demand that you relax and enjoy the beauty of life while leaving the heavier duties to him. While Námo would be eyeing you like a hawk, courtesy his Maiar who would be placed in charge of you, he would step in and handle your care on his own.

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Ëonwë
The Herald of Manwë would be partially familiar with the dynamic of what serve panicking looks like after fighting alongside other elves who are more susceptible to such conditions. He may not have treated soldiers who suffered the attacks but witnessed the procedure, which is why when it occurred to you, he was able to access the situation. Swiftly he moves, but beneath his appearance, he’s panicking as well, as he captures your attention after noticing your symptoms. Using his wings, Ëonwë will embrace you in a hug and have them cocoon you both from the outside world.
His wings are one of the best sources to dealing with your panic attacks as it brings an extra sense of security and comfort. He normally uses his wings when he wants to shut the world (noises) out, so it comes in handy in a situation like yours. His hands are on your face as he guides your breathing to reduce your erraticism. The soft coos and a few chirps would slip out because his heart breaks at the sight of you appearing distorted.
Ëonwë would whisk you away to an enclosed area where it can simply be you and him without any distractions. He would spend the rest of the moment in tranquillity, lounging about the place with you in his arms, stroking your hair and watching as you sleep.

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・Mairon
Confused and concerned at your state of silence, you blankly stare off into God knows where, probably the wall, as your mind turns into a battlefield of thoughts. At first, he’ll ignore you and believe you’re just being your usual self (weird), but as time passes and you’re still sitting there for almost an hour unresponsive, he becomes concerned. He’ll hover over you, unsure if to gently touch you or firmly shake you awake, instead, he settles on calling you. Mairon wouldn’t understand that it was a panic attack because he tends to experience erratic ones and is familiar with those.
However, after learning, he would be on the lookout anytime he notices you slumped with a blank expression and eyes distantly gazing into the unknown. His actions would be a lot more caring as he gingerly touches your shoulder or hands for you to grasp the concept of not slipping away too deeply into your thoughts. Mairon wouldn’t be an expert at having professional care, because how he deals with his own panic attacks isn’t for everyone, so he understands that being sensitive is necessary.
It’s one of the times when his tone changes, and so do his expressions as he tends to you. Might crack a few jokes to test the waters and see where you stand on the scale before advancing with the rest of his care. You might get him to stop for a moment with his plotting and crafting to sit with you in a quiet embrace and listen to your thoughts. A small kiss to your forehead before he sends you off to your shared chambers or gardens (if he has one appropriate to sit in) to spend the rest of the day.

Imagine being the first one to wield a ring from Sauron
Tumblr media
(Just gonna leave this here, enjoy. I thank my friend for the edits and proof reading, enjoy)
Warnings: Mentions of violence, killing, injuries, slight description of depression, magical manipulation and falling into Sauron’s control.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-You were traveling in the woods on your horse. Your horse’s hooves clapped against the ground as you navigated through the misty forest. You could not hear much in the air, only the cawing and flapping of the crows and hoots of the owl.
-You didn’t have a clear destination in mind. You rode where the wind took you and hoped you would face something good since there was nothing that would keep you in high spirits anymore.
-Everything just felt empty and cold. You couldn't find any value in the world anymore, so it felt like nothing mattered.
-Your eyes have lost the glimmer of hope, and your hands were rough with callouses after years of wielding a sword. You had been a ranger and helped many people, but none of it mattered.
-You have always been easy to fool and taken for granted whenever you tried to be kind to others.
-You don’t even know what the word even meant anymore. Was it something good or something others could use to control and harm others?
-Does it matter? No.
-Nothing mattered to you anymore.
-A dark, unknown part of you secretly wished something terrible happened to you and someone would finally end your miserable life as you were simply tired of living it.
-You stopped your horse when you heard voices. It sounded like the yelling of men chasing something. The only thing you could think of were bandits. They weren’t uncommon, and at the moment, you would rather not deal with them right now.
-However, fate decided to make your life a living joke as you encountered what the bandits were chasing.
-It was on accident since, the person in the hood unexpectedly dumped you on your horse and fell on the ground. It was like he appeared out of nothing.
-You looked down on him to see if he was hurt as he looked at you. He was beautiful in an ethereal way. His eyes held an odd glow, and you soon realized that he was no human man but an Eldar. Only an elf would possess sharp ears.
-He looked frightened and tried to cover his ears from your eyes. His hands were bruised and bloody, and you noticed a deep gash bleeding through the fabric of his arm. You concluded it must have been the bandits that injured him during the robbery.
-The bandits were not far behind as they caught up to you and demanded that you hand the elf over since you had no dealings with them or him, so you should go and mind your business.
-You would have agreed and continued your way as you didn’t care much about the affairs of others, but something about this elf changed your mind. His eyes looked deep into your soul, full of fear and pleading for help.
-You then heard a voice – begging you to save him, and you obliged.
-You took out your sword and killed the man who tried to touch the elf. The bandits tried to fight you after witnessing the death of their friend, but as you had the advantage of horseback and a longsword, you took them out effortlessly.
-The bandits might have the numbers, but their skills were nothing to you, who had years of experience in sword fights and battles.
-So – the bandits were outmatched by you.
-They ran away in fear – leaving you alone with their former target. They realized they were not able to defeat you, so they finally chose the option to run away.
-When they left your sight, you sheathed your sword and turned your focus on the elf you rescued from the bandits to check on his well-being.
-He thanked you for the help, and when you noticed he had no weapons on him, you handed him one of your blades for protection and told him to take care before continuing your way through the woods.
-It was supposed to be a one-time encounter and moving on with your life, but the stranger decided to follow you instead, asking for your help to reach a safe settlement.
-You almost refused because you would rather not meddle with people, but you also didn’t have anything better to do now, so you agreed and allowed him to travel with you.
-You gave him your name, and he called himself Annatar.
-He was an odd travel company and talkative, asking stuff about you, which felt a bit suspicious that he seemed to want to get to know you, but you answered, not wanting to be rude. You asked things about him back, so it wouldn't all be about you.
-He spoke about his kin and how he got lost from his family, and the one he held dear recently passed away.
-You felt pity because you understood what it was like losing someone dear, so you paid your condolences to him.
-You helped him to recover from the injuries he suffered from bandits since you had a basic knowledge of healing, and he was grateful. He complimented you, but you didn’t take his praise to heart since it was useless. People often used that to catch you off guard and hurt you. They never mean it.
-Annatar seemed to catch on to your behavior and questioned if something was bothering you. You said you just simply didn’t care about things anymore. You lost your ambitions a long time ago, and things didn’t hold any importance to you anymore.
-Everything just feels cold and empty.
-He seemed to emphasize this with you and questioned if there was something you suffered from in the past.
-You do not like talking about your past, so you refused to elaborate further.
- However, after some time traveling together and getting comfortable in each other’s company. Annatar managed to get way into your comfort zone, and you slowly revealed what happened that caused you to feel about the world like you did now.
-People have used you, lied to you, and even betrayed you, and all those you helped out of kindness took you for granted, and you had forgotten times when people you once trusted left you to die alone. The world has been nothing but cruel to you, so you often wandered alone.
-You lost touch with the world. You don’t feel the warmth of the sun or the gentle breeze of the wind. Everything feels cold, and things that once brought you joy caused nothing but emptiness and dread. It was like you had fallen into an endless hole and couldn't find your way back to the light.
-Annatar showed empathy and pity, claiming he knew what it was like being rejected by people and betrayed. You did not want to believe him because all you knew – he could be trying to use you like anyone else.
-Anyone can use false words to earn sympathy and mutual understanding.
-You did not want to open your heart anymore. You couldn't even if you wanted to because why would you?
-Annatar was kind to you, helping you during travel and tending to your wounds when you got injured during violent confrontations — he said it was a repayment for your protection.
-Annatar sometimes hummed songs to help you sleep. It was oddly effective because Annatar’s voice was soft and somewhat hypnotizing. You got lost in it many times and fell asleep with no problem.
-You thought he had something sinister in his mind because there was no way he would do this out of his goodwill. He was just using you like everyone else, but you couldn't help but admit that you were slowly getting used to his company.
-He had been better than most people, making you feel conflicted because you were not sure anymore if you were being slightly paranoid and unfairly misjudging him. He has not done anything to harm you and has been very helpful and kind.
-It got you concerned.
-You thanked the gods for letting you encounter a settlement. It meant you could finally go on your way. You did not want to think Annatar was a problem, but for your own sake, it was only for the best that you separated sooner or later.
-You bid Annatar goodbye and said this would most likely be the last time you would see each other again.
-He showed sadness and then wished to give you a gift before you departed.
-He found work in a forge after you helped him settle in, so he made you a little departing gift, a ring.
-He put it on your finger and thanked you for helping him and giving him companionship.
-It was an odd gesture and a gift to give away.
-“You know, if people were watching – they would think you’re trying to propose to me,” You said as you looked at the ring. It was made from bronze and carved with a lovely design and elvish scriptures. It might not be the most luxurious ring you have ever seen, but it was still quite charming. Annatar said he made it out of scraps, so you felt impressed and slightly touched. You have not received a gift like this one from anyone in your life.
-Annatar chuckled at your remark and said fate might allow you two to meet again because you never know what the future might have planned for you.
-You found it odd because you were not planning to come back or visit. You might have traveled together and become familiar, but it did not mean you were close friends.
-Things never last. They never do.
-You bid him goodbye and continued your way, leaving the settlement and him behind and hoping to find something else.
-After some time traveling alone. You began to feel something strange. You felt lonely when Annatar was not around, but that could have been because you got used to him. It will wear off eventually, and everything will return to normal. You will continue living on your own.
-You often gaze at the bronze band around your finger, moving it around and feeling the cold metal under your fingertips. The memories of Annatar played in your mind, and you sometimes found the reddish steel glow in the light of the fire.
-You heard things and would feel a deep sense of longing, longing to return to his side.
-It felt lonely, and you hated that feeling.
-You would sometimes even hear his soft humming in your dreams like he was there, and the thing he said about fate allowing you to meet again started to bother you.
-You wanted to go back, needed to go back to that place. It was like a ravenous wolf trying to make you go back.
-You tried to resist the urge, telling yourself you had no reason to return.
-Nothing helped, and the more you looked at the ring around your finger, the stronger the sensation. It was like the ring itself with his voice was telling you to go back.
-After a month or two, you found your way back to the village you left Annatar. You did not know why and it frightened you. You took a job and did not realize it led you right back.
-Your elven friend seemed delighted to see you again and welcomed you.
-You stayed for a while, not because you had a job, but so you could figure out what was pulling you to this place, to him.
-Nothing seemed strange. Annatar was himself, and you spent some time — catching up on the latest events and happenings. You began to doubt that you might have just missed the elf because nothing seemed out of unordinary, or were you simply losing your mind.
-It started to dawn on you what was wrong when you heard him sing again.
-You did not know what it was. It was like the more you listened to him – the less you wanted to leave and do more as he said. Just like a doll.
-It was like you had lost sense of time and touch with reality as all you wanted to do was what Annatar wished to make him happy. It felt wrong if you didn’t.
-He was oddly warm, and his voice was addicting.
-It was hard to snap out of it till you noticed you had brutally killed a man that was rude to you and Annatar.
-You do not remember how it happened, but you remember Annatar saying something like the man was an enemy and that he should die, and you obliged like a mindless soldier.
-You finally decided to confront what Annatar was doing with you because it was now clear that he was doing something to you, something sinister and evil.
-When you were alone, you finally confronted him about it.
-He denied it and then said you must have been tired, offering to sing to you to help with the fatigue that often bothered you. You refused the offer — feeling anxious about what would happen if you did, but you didn’t say it out loud.
-He was good with words, so you began to doubt that maybe it was the fatigue that had been getting into you, but you took action to prevent yourself from trusting him so lightly.
-You should have been more careful that night.
-That night at the bonfire, you two talked, then he began to hum a new type of tune. It was sweet and soft. You tried to focus on the fire, poking the ambers with a stick while listening to his voice. You didn’t realize you had forgotten the fear you had earlier, the fear of hearing his song.
-You felt relaxed, but soon your mind began to wander as you stared at the campfire flames, feeling its warmth and embrace from the cold world around you. It felt pleasant.
-You soon forgot the world around you as the warmth kept you away, letting your troubles and internal turmoil vanish from the depth of your mind. All the sadness, pain, and doubt vanished like the embers that flew away from the fire.
-Something was keeping you there, not letting you go, but you didn’t mind. Honestly, you didn’t care to get out. You began to waver and hum along with the song.
-You didn’t feel like you needed to get out. It was warm and safe, unlike the real world.
-You had not realized someone pulled you down. Letting your head rest on their lap and gently stroking your head. You let them because you felt no need to resist the gentle act. It felt nice. No one had been this nice to you before.
-Annatar chuckled as you had now fallen deep into his control. His hands gently graced your hair with a gentle touch as he continued humming the song for you.
-You were now his little puppet, a puppet with a blade.
-Since the day you two first met and you acted upon the plea of his mind, he knew he needed to have you.
-He did not know the first time how he managed to make you fulfill his wish as it was usual for someone to counter the invasion of mind, but you did no such thing. You obliged without a thought.
-He needed that kind of obedience.
-He glanced at the ring wrapped around your finger with a smile. You were so sure something was wrong and did not realize the little parting gift had the most part in your fall into his control. It silently filled your mind with thoughts and soon broke away your defenses, letting him claim your mind to his will. Your mind, soul, and very being now belonged to him.
-The ring was a success, and soon he will craft more of them to bind the people of Middle Earth under his will and control.
-The world had already broken you, left you hollow in heart and without ambitions, so it was relatively easy to claim you. It was a surprise you managed to resist the ring and last months before coming back.
-He was worried the ring might not have worked, but it did – to his delight.
-Annatar looked down at you, his eyes glimmering with gold as he gazed at your peaceful expression. He needed you for the future, but he couldn't help but admit he had become attached to you in a way.
-Maybe he had found companionship with you and did not want to let go of you, not just because you could help him in the future.
-And now you had nowhere to go as you were now his.
- ”My dear (Name), you don’t need to worry about the world or the cold anymore. It shall be embraced by the fire and taken under control. There shall be no more pain, and you and I will do it together — now rest — my little puppet,” Annatar whispered before darkness took you to sleep.

Whenever the dragons slay and do well, Mairon calls them as "our children"
Whenever the dragons mess up, eat his stuff or a thrall he still needed, Mairon calls them as "Melkor's children"

The Angband Babies 😈💖
I have a headcanon story about Melkor and Mairon having children.
To Melkor it was forbidden to get children with his Maia, but as usual he doesn't care about Eru's rules. His love to Mairon was so strong that it had to happen. As Mairon is an intersexual being he is able to receive and give birth. For the time of the pregnancy his fana becomes mortal though, so they kept all their pregnancies a secret.
Besides their strong love for each other and the resulting strong desire to have children there was another reason for Melkor to have own descendants: he needed some future leaders for his conquered parts of Arda. Also Eru forbid him to create life with his own hands and with reproducing with his Maia he was able to trick this rule.
So they became four children as an act of rebellion. This post is about the first three of them. The first born Shiak'ul (meaning Ice rain in black speech) , the second Melron and the third Madh'gâsh (great fire). They are all of different temper and personalities.
These children, three sons, shall later rule over several districts when Melkor subdued Arda. The youngest , Madh'gâsh, is looking up to his oldest brother and is always behind him. Melron is the blonde one, to the worrying of his parents he's becoming softer than his siblings, he doesn't like violence and is curious about the outer world. Shiak'ul is the oldest son, he loves to impress Mairon and one day he wants to surpass his Vala father, he already feels pain when touching the Silmaril in his father's crown cause his soul ain't innocent anymore, while Melron can still touch them. Melron is dearly attached to Melkor, hoping to heal his pain one day.

i know there's some people out there who think that silvergifting, specifically sauron falling in love with celebrimbor, is out of character for him. i'm gonna rant about that a little and talk about why it's not true.
we are told sauron didn't start out as evil. tolkien doesn't believe in inherent evil. and there is something human about sauron, in how much of a perfectionist he is, the way that he grew frustrated with all of the disorder in the world. these were things that he couldn't control, supposedly- but what if he could? he never would've been satisfied just working for aulë, not when all of the imperfections he saw became an obsession for him. and here comes melkor, giving him all of the power he wants to make that dream a reality for him. sauron is said to have "adored" melkor.
these are actual human feelings that real people experience. i have autism, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder and multiple anxiety disorders and a lot of the feelings sauron experiences about perfectionism, wanting to have control over things you just can't- these are feelings i deal with every single day!! it's just that sauron, being 1.) one of the ainur and 2.) a villain, takes these feelings to such an extreme that it warps him, and it shows how damaging you can be to yourself if you don't have a good support system, if you don't have people in place who genuinely want to help you and understand you. it's pretty clear to me that sauron is capable of experiencing human emotions, so by extension he is absolutely capable of love.
with these things in mind, it is PERFECTLY in-character for sauron to not only fall in love with celebrimbor but also to feel guilty about torturing and killing him. because celebrimbor is just another one of those things that he can't control, but he loves him. even if he wanted to just be annatar, he couldn't- celebrimbor would find out the truth eventually, and most likely reject him. and he couldn't just abandon all of those plans he sacrificed everything for. he left aulë and betrayed him, left melkor behind after so many years serving him, everything was building up to this moment. sauron was too transformed by all of his experiences and to just give up on everything would be giving up on who he had become. melkor became a part of him. but celebrimbor did too, and that's why it hurts so much. sauron is literally killing off a part of himself when he kills celebrimbor- the part of him that could've become annatar. it's fascinating to think about, what could drive someone to kill the person they love, and even more interesting when it's someone with as much potential for character exploration as sauron.
the rings of power would not have been made without celebrimbor. annatar and celebrimbor worked together in close partnership for 300 years, and the act of subcreation is said to be intimate. celebrimbor is part of the story of the one ring, and there's something special about celebrimbor and sauron's relationship, so much potential to be explored, even if you don't ship them romantically. i'm so tired of people shutting down the possibility of sauron experiencing love and being emotionally vulnerable just because "he's evil". tolkien didn't write a whole essay on sauron's motivations and complexities only for them to be dismissed like that. let's embrace the nuances in tolkien's villains instead of ignoring them.
