SPOILERS FOR "WE WILL BE REUNITED" BELOW

favorite thing about them: DAIN'S JAPANESE VOICE IS SOOOO FUCKING GOOD. i have some clips from his quest playing as i type this and aAAAHh. Wow. i mean, there are so many lovely voices in this world, but dainsleif's is like... the feeling of swallowing hot tea and the smell of leather. FUCK.

least favorite thing about them: there's nothing about him i outright dislike, but i wish he hadn't been involved in We Will Be Reunited because it was a shitty quest with rancid storytelling and he deserves better than to have his secrets dumped like that.

favorite line: well everything he says is like liquid gold, but if you want something specific... "There are no coincidences in the world. Everything is the fruit of seeds planted long ago." that's a nice line. kinda gives us a hint about how vast his view of the world is, if he's considering the paths that decisions take and how they lead to the present.

brOTP: honestly i haven't thought much about it, but... i would like to imagine he'd be friends with paimon, even though the two of them are so wildly different. paimon is sweet, and i think that sweetness would get through to dain eventually

OTP: hmm. i don't have a specific one, but he would look pretty good next to kaeya >u>

nOTP: again, haven't thought about this much, but shipping him with the sibling you're not playing as feels... skeevy at best

random headcanon: he has incredible fine motor skills and is ambidextrous. sure, he can fight hard, but he's also capable of using his hands for much more delicate tasks when need be

unpopular opinion: HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN WE WILL BE REUNITED. actually we will be reunited shouldn't have existed. literally just dumped like 10 major plot twists within the span of 15 minutes when those should have been spaced out MUCH further... when they're so close together the impact (haha) is lost... it has already blurred into an unrecognizable exposition dump in my brain...

song i associate with them: after some deliberation, i'm going with the title screen theme from the end is nigh, which is a remix of gnossienne no.1 <3
