She was hooked.

Maddy was undeniably, miserably, and astronomically hooked on you since she met you. Her fingers interlocked with Nate’s as they both enjoyed the warm sun on their skin while walking back to her house always being sacred. But one day, their typical path was blocked up by you and your friends drinking, smoking, and eating. The fresh scent of burgers and hotdogs filled her senses as she glanced at the front porch.

You and your friends held no shame and clearly weren’t afraid of any police showing up. But she spotted you instantly because of your hulking figure. Your lips formed into a goofy smile as you dabbed up your friend with your gaze finding hers. And before she knew it, you were jogging over.

“Yo, folks!” You smiled with your blunt resting naturally between your lips. Both Maddy and Nate reluctantly turned to you, finding you still smiling politely at them, eyes flickering to Maddy far more occasionally. Pulling the blunt from your lips, Maddy saw the faint black ink of your had that disappeared under the sleeve of your jumper. With her eyes flickering to what looked like the head of a snake peeking out the collar of your shirt. “Do you guys want some burgers and shit? We got beer and all that if you’re interested.”

Before Maddy could even reply, Nate’s hand clenched around hers. “We’re good, thanks though.”

“Oh, c’mon, man. Where’s the harm in drinking a bit and having some food, huh?” You inquired casually. “You guys are in high school, right? East Highland?”

“Yes,” Maddy confirmed, interest clinging to her tone. “But why does that matter?”

Your gaze flickered down for her with a gentle smile. “I went there last year. I know for damn sure that Nate Jacobs isn’t a saint, so why aren’t you coming to drink, man?” You inquired, a welcoming smile dancing across your lips.

The boy seemed about ready to start a fight, but considering most of your friends were sitting and watching, he held his tongue. But Maddy was intrigued by your carefree nature, not to mention how easily you started this conversation without hesitation. If it be her, she wouldn’t just be inviting random people she didn’t know to her barbeque.

But you were quick to notice the tension judging by the glare Nate had directed in your direction. Raising your hands in surrender, you moved out of their path with that same casual smile on your lips. “Okay, fine, man.” Turning to Maddy, you smiled and held your hand out for her. “It was a pleasure to meet you.”

She took your hand and instantly felt the small paper in the palm of your hand. Skillfully taking it without Nate noticing, she smiled. “You too.” And when she and Nate walked away, you rubbed your hands, eyes running up and down her figure. Maddy glanced over her shoulder, catching your stare but it didn’t stop you from grinning, tongue peeking out as you wet your lips. Winking at the girl before you went back to where you sat. Maddy rolled her eyes, interest beginning to rise to boil as her hand tightened its hold with Nate’s.

That had been the first time Maddy ever met you so many things seemed to have changed since then. And she wishes that it could’ve been as simple as a handoff to see you more. You didn’t go to school, so on the rare occasion she saw you at a party, she always found a way to part from Nate’s side to ambush you wherever you may be. If it is in the hall waiting for the bathroom or in the backyard with the rest of your friends.

Because she knew you were better for her. Your smile, your personality, your piercing e/c eyes, your soft lips, everything about you was better than Nate. But breaking off from Nate wasn’t as simple as she’d like. He had a hold on her and you were a high that gave her a chance to forget about him and think about what could possibly be. And understandably, you wanted something more than just a friends-with-benefits relationship. Fights over the phone and in the flesh created a distancing factor that had left the two of you taking some time off from one another.

So, as you stood in the kitchen at a random’s house, kids partying around you, your eyes stayed transfixed on Maddy. Minutes ago, you had contemplated leaving just from how stuffy the air felt. The sweaty bodies of teens brush past you in hopes of getting more drinks or getting laid in one of the many bedrooms upstairs. But her presence kept you here. You hadn’t even noticed her when she initially got here either. It was like a third sense when you just felt it in your gut. Sure enough, she was here with some of her friends and Nate Jacobs.

You wanted to hate her for what she putting you through. Making you wait for something that might not even happen. Because you could be out with some other chick that wanted your time and love. “Look at me. Come over and see me,” you thought to yourself, seeing Maddy laugh with Cassie with red solo cups in both girls’ hands. Yet, you got nothing, not even a glance. Albeit, she might’ve just not noticed you yet, but you were selfish and wanted- needed her.

Handing your blunt to one of your friends, you moved out of the kitchen. Eyes cast forward but taking a daring glance at Maddy. Her eyes were already following you. An unreadable expression took her face as you looked away, rounding the stairs and climbing. Maneuvering through a few of the drunks passed out or talking on the steps. When you reached the top of the stairs, there was a sizable lineup of kids waiting for the bathroom. Doors on the sides were all shut and locked, and muffled moans were barely heard from outside.

Shaking the thought from your head, you continued down the hall, looking over your shoulder to see Maddy following. A faint smile was seen on your lips as you continued to lead to an unoccupied room. Stepping inside, you stood by the bed, watching the shadow of Maddy dance across the doorway before she appeared. Lips pulled into a grin as she carefully closed the door behind her, leaning her body against the door with her bottom lip caught between her teeth.

The lock of pure excitement in her eyes never ceased to amaze you. No matter how many times the two of you did this, she always seemed to have a shot of adrenaline shoot through her body. And even though there were some clearly complicated feelings in the mix, the two of you knew what you guys needed tonight.

Maddy was panting mess as she shook with each thrust of your hips. Cock spearing into and bumping every single sweet spot that had Maddy bristling in bliss. The party was still very much going on downstairs, but even if it wasn’t, the two of you wouldn’t have stopped. “Nate downstairs?” You inquired, sighing as you were already preparing for the answer you would receive. You knew it was just a hook-up and not expecting anything more. Sadly, this was what you got yourself into and couldn’t imagine leaving.

But when you felt her brush of fabric touch your back, you peeked over your shoulder to see the small frame of Maddy leaning over you. Trapping you beneath her, but there wasn’t much trapping when you could lift her and move her. But you allowed her to enjoy her tiny amount of dominance.

“He’s in the rearview,” she told you, chuckling at the way your eyes brightened. Her hands came up and brushed your cheek softly. “Let’s focus on us, yeah?”

for as long as Ashtray could remember you were a constant in his life. he vaguely remembered when you’d come by with a fresh set of braids, a tense neck, gel on your forehead, and beads loudly clacking when you were 12.

Kitty would always giggle at you and Fez. one of her last memories with you all before she got sick was her catching you and Fez holding hands during a movie. he had just picked you two up from school, dropped you off at her home, then ran down the street and around the corner to get Ash from the local babysitter.

“oh?” she asked from behind the couch, starling you two as Ash sat on her hip.

“you two are so precious.” She cooed as the two of you watched her with wide eyes, hands now resting beside eachother.

“isn’t that right Ash?” she asked the boy who was more interested in the TV than the conversation around him.

he nodded yes and continued watching whatever SpongeBob movie it was.

when Ash left the surveillance cameras due to the crying he heard he was shocked and hurt.

he hated seeing you upset, but instead of comforting you he froze. he didn’t know what was going on.

Fez was looking at everything but at you grabbing his shirt and drenching it in tears.

“you fucking answer me!” you cried out. “did i do something? what did i do bro? what is it?! i promise i’ll do better just tell me.” you cried, the deep wails not even sound like you as they rumbled out of your body.

he had fucking broke you.

Fez looked at you then. his eyes were red from unshod tears and he was frantically shaking his head. you needed to know it had nothing to do with you, you were never a problem in his life.

you never would be.

“don’t say that shit.” he started to tell you, grabbing your arms and slowly walking forward, basically forcing you to walk backwards.

“don’t you even fucking say that shit. you didn’t do shit. i did it.” he said to you. you were almost to the door and he quickly unlocked it while you were listening to him in confusion.

“you did what? did Custer do something now?” you asked in a scared voice. it was enough dealing with Mouse and seeing Ash take him. you didn’t know if you could deal with more.

Fez couldn’t handle the fear in your eyes at his life.

“no baby it’s just…baby i’m no good for you.” Fez weakly said before quickly opening the door, pushing you back, and immediately slamming it back to lock it.

he heard you let out a frustrated groan before banging on his door.

“don’t be a fucking pussy Fez! you can’t do this. that doesn’t even make sense.” you hollered from behind the door.

Ash watched his brother bring his arm up and violently sob into his hoodie sleeve. he sagged to the floor. crying into himself as you banged on the door behind him.

“you can’t fucking do this to me!” you cried. your voice got more panicky and your crying became more gut wrenching for the two boys.

“you’re fucking perfect Fez! perfect! please don’t do this to me. i really can’t do this right now just please open the door you’re literally everything just..just fucking please.” your voice cracked at the end.

when you got no answer you let out a whine before crying into the night sky.

Ash slowly walked up to Fez and sat in front of his defeated figure slumped in front of the door.

“imma need you…” Ash started. “imma need you to get the fuck up and explain this shit, now.” Ash gritted out between his teeth, his own angry tears welling up in the back of his eyes as your cries pierced his ears.

eventually your crying didn’t stop, it just got further from the home and the rumble of your car started and peeled out from the front of the house.

“Laurie man.” Fez cried on the couch. “i can’t keep putting y/n through my shit. she’s too good for me and this.” he said harshly wiping at his face.

“i don’t want her hurt.” his voice cracked.

“so instead of expressing your concern and probably telling her she can’t come to drop offs and pick ups anymore after the other day, you instead just hurt her with no explanation?” Ash asked.

Fez’s face fell again before he solemnly nodded.

he did decide to do that.

“please just call me back. i want to fix this.” your voice weakly said in a voicemail you sent to Fez’s phone over a week ago. he was getting dressed for a party and waiting on Ash as he listened to it.

he played it pretty much everyday and each time he almost called you back.

“ayo Ash!” Fez called out again.

Ash stumbled into the room, his shirt over this eyes as he pulled it down to cover his tank top.

“alright alright. let’s fucking go bro.” his brother said finally getting his arms through the holes and grabbing the door handle.

Fez was first hit with the bass of the music and the yelling of his name from a group of people he knew all too well when he opened the front door.

“Fez?” she called to him. when she got no response she got scared. had he already mentally went back to his ex?

right when she felt like they were developing a sense of liking to one another?

“F-Fez?” she called again in worry as he faced forward with his hands clenching.

“i’m pissed the fuck off, Lex.” the boy mumbled before getting up and walking away.

he had saw you grinding the body you had used to grind on him multiple times all over McKay.

Joy was still a virgin despite what her mom thought. The furthest she and Fezco ever got was making out. The day Michele caught them kissing, Michele sat both of them down and talked about the birds and the bees. Joy sat quietly and avoided eye contact while Fez's face turned beet red.

It was really over before it started with a few slaps and scratches exchanged. They were forced to sit in detention with each other for four Saturdays in a row. “Fine” Joy laid on her side and stared at her closet.

“Good. Cause I’m outside.” Joy ran to her window and saw none other than Maddy Perez, poking out of her sunroof.

“Let’s go!!”

“Be quiet, Damn! Well you have to come in cause I’m taking a shower before.”

“Bitch open the door, then!”

Joy tip-toed to the door and yelled for her to be quiet.

“Just chill on the sofa.” Joy said before entering the bathroom located to the right of her room.

Joy came out in a satin pink robe, dried and moisturized with her makeup done. A classy nude smokey eye look with dark lined lip look. Joy rushed to her closet and settled on a black mini skirt, a sage green cropped tank top, and forest green strappy platform heels.

“Hurry up” Maddy said, laid out on Joy’s sofa.

“It’s only 10:30, it’s “early”… remember” Joy winked at Maddy playfully.

Maddy gave a smirk and a middle finger in return.

“See I’m done.” Joy said while putting on gold accessories.

“Let’s go!” Maddy said, opening the door.

They pulled up to some house with red cups all on the lawn.

“Whose house is this?”

“When do I ever fucking know?” Maddy turned off the car and went inside.

While walking through clouds of smoke she saw some familiar faces in the sitting room.

“Hey Joy!”

“Sup Joy.”

“What’s up? Where's Lex?” Joy asked.

“She’s home.” Cassie responded quickly.

Joy liked Lexi. They often talked about deeper things and both went to each other to get away from the superficial. Joy was still happy to see Rue, Jules, Kat and Cassie. They were a close friend group, despite all the bullshit the school year brought they still stayed together.

“Where’ve you been?”

“You know around.” Joy said.

“With Fezco” Rue coughed.

“What? Y’all are together… finally? You don’t tell me shit anymore.” Maddy said in shock.

“No seriously, it was bad. Like hard to watch. I’m happy you're together now.” Kat said while sipping her cup.

“Really that bad?” Joy asked.

“Yea!” they all said. Jules hasn’t even been around that long and still emphasized her answer.

“Why didn’t you come together?” Rue asked.

“Pause… he’s here? Where?” Joy asked.

“I mean it’s a party… It's kind of his place of work. He’s in the room on the other side.” Rue said, tapping the wall behind her.

Joy went to find him and there he was sitting on the couch, arms splayed across the top, legs open wide, looking like a personal seat specifically for Joy. Thick smoke spilled from his mouth as his eyes danced across her figure.

He looks so fucking good, Joy thought.

“You cheating on me now?” Joy stood directly in front of him with her hands on her hips, faking her anger.

“Damn, I thought you were sleep, Ma.” Fezco took another hit.

“So that’s a yes?” Joy sat next to him reaching for his blunt. She hit it and turned Fezco to her. She leaned close to him looking at his eyes. His eyes were laser focused on her plump lips. Studying every line covered by the nude gloss. Fezco drifted closer to her and let their lips graze each other’s as Joy let the smoke flow out of her mouth into his. Fezco inhaled, his eyes lifted to hers looking heavier than before.

“I’m gonna go dance.” Joy headed back to the girls only to find them peeking behind the wall. They all jumped and went back to their seats when Joy noticed them.

“Is he still looking?” Joy mouthed to Jules. Jules gave a simple nod to not be obvious but Joy was beaming. She finally made it behind the wall when she let out a sigh.

“Why did you leave?” Kat asked.

“She’s teasing him.” Maddy smirked. She knew Maddy would get it.

“Who wants to dance?” Joy asked

It’s a Vibe played throughout the house and Joy was now finishing her second Malibu-pineapple drink. The speakers were so loud it felt like it vibrated through her body. “So what the fuck is the plan? We can’t just let them get away with that they did mads.”

“Hello?” your groggy voice whispers, eyes shut tightly. Your sleepy eyes open at the sound of sobs echoing through your phone speaker. Sitting up, you try to listen and see if your ears were deceiving you or if your best friend was really on the other line crying. “I’ll be there in ten” a worrisome response leaving your lips before ending the phone call. The sound of pain rippling through the speaker remains in your head. You were aware of how heartbroken Maddy was after Rue’s confession and how she hadn’t taken a second to stop and grieve her friendship. Maddy was resilient and had an image to uphold, she simply couldn’t let an evil conniving bitch break the cold facade she had. You were the only one who saw through her icy exterior. Saw her at her most vulnerable, when she was too ashamed and scared to show others. Maybe it was the fact that you two grew up living three blocks from each other or the fact that you always came to comfort her but you had always seen Maddy as a sister. This time wasn’t any different and you needed to be there for your sister; pushing the comfortable blankets that engulfed you off your body, you got up and threw on a sweatshirt and basketball shorts before slipping into some random slides in your room. Grabbing your phone, you left your room and made your way to Maddy’s house as the cold wind hit your bare legs. The thought of Maddy being so upset that she couldn’t even talk pained your heart; you stuff your hands in your pocket to shield them from the wind. Finally reaching Maddy’s house, you made your way to the side of the house where her room window was located. You crouch down peeking into the window to see Maddy holding herself as her body shook. You press your hands on the window and pry it open, the cold glass cooling your warm hands. Opening the window, you slide in and tiptoe into the light pink room, hearing her sobs fill her room. You turn around and close the window before slipping off your slides and sweater. Walking over to her crush pink bed you lay down, moving your body close to hers to wrap your arms around her. You place a kiss on her shoulder and push her jet black hair away from her face before laying your head down in the crook of her neck. Maddy reaches over to grab your hand as you hold her tighter. “I’m here”.
