So I’m catching up on the Stranger Things season finale and Jonathan just affirmed that he will love Will no matter “what”. And I paused it when they gave a wide shot of the hug because it looked familiar to me and.

Y’all it’s the same exact hug. This is a love hug. A hug with a promise and intention. People don’t embrace like this unless they have a strong bond and in my opinion this only further proves that Korra and Asami’s eventual romance was thought out and curated as carefully as possible so the Nickelodeon overlords wouldn’t get on Bryke’s back. But even then, LOK shows different ways to love people. I know it’s fun to shit on Mako but I ADORE his devotion to Korra and I really love that Mako and Bolin often tell each other “I love you.”
