Some Clones are not happy about Kamino being destroyed. "All those cities, all those people." Lots of guilt. Questioning Rampart specifically. Everyone thinks a cataclysmic storm destroyed Kamino thanks to Ramparts cover up. Now with the clones out the way Rampart is trying to push a recruitment bill.

But I have a feeling Rampart might want her out of the way...

Rampart is acting tough but I know he's feeling the pressure. The bill has been put on hold many times. If people start digging and find out what really happened to Kamino its not going to end in his favor.

Chuchi is legit, ok. She went to talk to the clones about what they want. They want to keep fighting but she's like " Yeah I understand but what happens when you get to old for that? Let me help." She really cares about them🥺

Slip tells Chuchi what really happened to Kamino and warns her to be careful.

Palpatine blames the clones as well for follow Ramparts orders without hesitation. This gives him an excuse to pass the bill and make clones obsolete. Making way for stormtroopers.

The batch took Echo leaving in stride but I have a feeling Omega is really going to take Echo’s absence hard and I wonder how the rest of the batch will handle it. Maybe that's why she's going to tell Tech "We're more than that, we're a family."

I know they're going to reunite with Echo at some point because of the leaked screen shot of her hugging Echo again. I just wonder how long they are going to be separated for🤔 🥲

10/10 episode even though it ended on a sad note. At least no one died. None of the main cast at least.

BEN SISKO PLS

Benjamin Sisko? More like Beloved Sisko 😌

One aspect about them I love: I love the capital P Presence he brings to every scene. He’s such a force of nature! Of course there are the obvious examples like ‘In the Pale Moonlight’ and ‘Far Beyond the Stars’, where his presence is literally jaw dropping, but I think he brings such a monumental force to even the softer scenes. Force might be the wrong word, but I’m thinking about all his quiet moments with Jake, his tender moments with Kasidy, his grief when he’s in New Orleans after Jadzia’s death. You can feel every inch of what he’s feeling, all the love and passion and rage. This is more of a comment on Avery Brooks than Sisko I suppose, but he’s easily the actor that impresses me the most in any Star Trek show. He’s such a privilege to watch.

One aspect I wish more people understood about them: That he likes to have fun! I often see him cast in fandom as the stern father figure to his crew (which is a whole other kettle of fish) or people exclusively highlighting his actions in the Dominion War. But Ben is capable of goofing off just as much as anyone else! His delightful love of baseball is the obvious example, but there’s also the episode where he built the Bajoran lightship and flew it with Jake, or all the crazy stories of his youth with Curzon, or when we see him interacting with Jennifer for the first time. And while he opposed the Vic Fontaine holosuite (for very valid reasons), I got the impression that he did end up enjoying himself a teensy bit during that casino heist.

One or more headcanons I have about this character: His favourite musician is Nat King Cole. Joseph would always have his music playing while cooking, so Ben has a lot of fond memories growing up and listening to those songs. And he probably started learning to play the piano by trying to play them by ear.

One character I love seeing them interact with: This is so hard to choose! His interactions with pretty much everyone on the show are so rich, but I think I’ll have to say Kira for this one. The captain and first officer dynamic is always an interesting one (unless it’s TNG sorry not sorry), but the fact of Sisko being the Emissary adds so many layers. Of course there are the jokes about Kira’s boss being space Jesus, but I really do think they have one of the best relationships in the show. Two scenes in particular come to mind - in the episode ‘Starship Down’ when Ben’s injured and Kira’s trying to see him through it, and I can’t remember the episode, but the scene where Ben invites her to a baseball game. Very different scenes, but I think they do a lot to convey how much they care for each other no matter the situation. But then they’re also trying to work through the complex web of worship and every day interactions and station hierarchy and friendship and ugh it’s just so good!! It’s so good.

One character I wish they would interact with more: Jennifer Sisko. I don’t mean interact as in bringing her back from the dead, or having mirror!Jennifer play a bigger role (which would be kinda cool honestly), but rather I wish we’d got to hear more stories about their past interactions. Ben’s grief over her death is literally what kicks off the entire show, and I feel like we should really know more about her since she had such a strong connection to the main character of the show. I find it very difficult to believe that Ben wouldn’t talk about her more to keep her memory alive. I want to know what kind of dates she and Ben would go on, the little idiosyncrasies Ben loved most about her, the things she’d do that would annoy and charm him all at once, and the moments where he was most proud to love her.

One or more headcanons I have that involve them and one other character: He’s in love with Julian Bashir ❤️💙 I’m sorry, I can’t help it - Siskoshir is just too powerful of a ship to go without at least mentioning. I saw that one scene in ‘Past Tense’ when Ben brings Julian breakfast and that was it, no thoughts only Siskoshir. I think I find that ship so compelling because, even though they appear outwardly quite different, on the inside they’re birds of a feather. They’re both so passionate about the people around them, they’re both dedicated to their careers, and they’re both strong enough to survive immense the trauma that’s impacted them throughout their lives. But then there’s also what they can give to each other - Julian can help bring Ben out of his grief with his relentless brightness and optimism, and Ben can offer Julian the warmth of familial love that he felt like he’d lost once he discovered his augments. Basically, they’re the best I think they should kiss 😌

I have so many thoughts so they’ll be under this cut😭

I’m a film major and I love any excuse to geek out about it. The entire history of it and how it started with wanting to capture mundane aspects bc of this funky new technology is so fun to me!! It’s an evolving medium with so many new ways people can tell their stories. either directly addressing the audience or having them interact with the actual material! (see interactive films such as Bandersnatch)

I love seeing directors (indie and established) evolve their styles over time. While you can see some influences between filmmakers there’s a distinct LOOK!!! You know?!?

My favourite directorial styles are: Satoshi Kon, Wong-Kar Wai and Agnes Varda! (Some of my fave screen caps with explanations are below 😫)

I also love love love love New Wave Cinema because I am of the believer that art ALWAYS means something.

New Wave Cinema (specifically third-cinema) really high lights a lot of stories lost to the Classical Hollywood Cinema model! Honestly I could go on a whole tangent about that… But my mom always instilled this love of trying to find something deeper into whatever piece of art I consume! She would show me Oscar list nominations, films she thought I would like etc. So that’s probably why I like film so much!! There’s also something so beautiful about a group of people coming together to tell a story THEY would like to see.

In The Mood for Love - Wong Kar Wai (LOOK AT THE COLOUR! THE COMPOSITION!! THE CAMERA WORK IN THIS FILM IS SO BEAUTIFUL 😭 I love how he’s able to colour and create a world that’s a distant memory that never existed for u)

Perfect Blue - Satoshi Kon (GAWSH THE WAY HE FRAMES THE MAIN CHARACTER IS SO GOOD!! HE IS SUCH A TRAIL BLAZER FOR THE TORTURED ARTIST IN FILMS! COMPARE PERFECT BLUE AND BLACK SWAN!! THE INFLUENCE IS THERE!!😭🫶🏼)

Cléo 5 a 7 - Agnes Varda. (I am sensing a pattern in my writing and art form where I favour the perfectionist woman staring into a mirror and going insane… anyways Varda was one of the trail blazers of feminist French New Wave Cinema! She was humanizing women without playing into the classical Hollywood narrative of putting them in a voyeuristic gaze only to be consumed by a MAN!!!)

It had been a long week.

You had been in Paris, Rome and then back to NYC. One might think you had more than enough money to afford some takeout. Hell, you could afford having a private cook at home.

But after a week of contracts and different time zones the only way you really got to come down and relax was cooking.

You had moved just outside of New York a month ago, without much time to get to know the neighborhood. You were working on getting yourself out. Out of the underworld that was the high table. Out of taking contracts. Out of being hired to kill.

You were good, maybe the best. Having worked hard ever since… You sighed. It had been a while since you thought about him. John.

It’s been more than five years since you saw him last. After the thing he did for Tarasov he had earned the chance to quit. Not that anyone would have been brave or stupid enough to deny the Boogeyman.

Once upon a time, when you were young, foolish and so helplessly in love with him, you thought that he would be the one. At night, when you thought about your life you still dreamed about the big what if.

What if he hadn’t left?

What if you had told him how you felt?

What if he would have felt the same?

You knew it had been a bad idea from the start. Letting your relationship with John get intimate. You worked perfect professional wise. But working as a hired gun is lonely. And John had just been there. Always. You shook your head, killing the engine of your car.

He’s was your past.

While the Thai curry recipe you wanted to cook tonight was your future.

There was something calm about empty grocery stores. It was just after 9pm on a Tuesday but it could also been midnight from the lack of people at the store.

Quiet music was playing as you pushed the cart down the aisle, filling it with everything you craved. You chose to ignore the 4 bottles of red wine you had in there for yourself. Your birthday was coming up and without any friends you would make wine your friend for one weekend before you had to leave for another contract in Taiwan.

Looking down at the list you wrote for the ingredients you didn’t see him at first. Which was hilarious cause he had been looking at you for a while now. You stopped walking, checking if you were now hallucinating.

John Wick was standing with a bottle of wine under his arm and a crappy microwave meal in the other looking at you.

He looked older, a couple of wrinkles around his eyes as his lips twitched into a small smile when you finally spotted him.

You felt like you were under water. You never thought you would see him again. The last thing you heard was that was he divorced from his wife and was now the owner of a book shop. It would have been easy to find him, but you were scared. Of what exactly, you didn’t know.

“John…” you whispered as he slowly walked towards you. He was wearing dark jeans, a gray Henley and a brown leather jacket. His hair was longer, you liked it that way.

“Hey,” he said when he was standing in front of you. You looked up, still awestruck.

“Sorry. I’m trying to figure out if you’re real or if that’s mafioso in Rome earlier this week hit my head harder than I thought,” you said and he chuckled.

“Rome huh?”

“Yeah.”

“Santino still a pain in the ass?”

You groaned. “Ugh, you have no idea.”

You both laughed.

“What are you doing here?” You asked.

“Moved here a week ago. Finally sold the house after we finalized the divorce.”

“I’m sorry,” instinctly you reached over, squeezing his arm. A sad smile came to his lips as he sighed.

“Yeah. I’m sorry too. But we weren’t making each other happy. She deserves better. And… I wasn’t 100% in it too.”

You nodded, not really knowing what you should say. You spotted the microwave meal in his hand and made a face.

“You really wanna eat that?”

“That’s what the wine is for. To make it bearable.”

You rolled your eyes, shaking your head. Looking down at your grocery list you sucked your bottom lip in.

“How about you put that away and join me for a late dinner?” You offered quietly.

“I don’t want to intrude…”

“Hey I offered. I know how much you liked my cooking Jonathan,” you winked and he chuckled before he out the meal away.

“I missed you,” he said, putting the bottle of wine into your cart as he stepped closer. You could smell his aftershave, his hand coming up to your cheek. You closed your eyes, breathing in deeply. You felt his lips on your forehead and opened your eyes.

“I missed you too.”

What’s Your Own Favorite Story Of The Year?:

i'm going to say Bad for Business not because it's the best but because it was the first one, and I hadn't finished writing anything in a whole year when I posted that one, so it feels special

Did You Take Any Writing Risks This Year?:

writing a 50k wip was definitely risky (especially with work draining half my energy) but i'm glad i did it

Do You Have Any Fanfic Or Profic Goals For The New Year?:

i kinda want to write "goodnight fics"? y'know, those fluff and angst 10-15k fics that you can read before going to sleep without fucking up your sleeping schedule. Ian the Friendly Ghost is me trying to do that 🖤✨

Most Popular Story Of The Year?:

definitely weaver of fate. i was reaaally unsure about posting that story (thought maybe people would find seer mickey silly or wouldn't vibe with the soulmate or coffee shop aspects of it) but then the response was??? absolutely amazing. 😭💙

Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion:

i think this fandom appreciates things a lot, honestly? there's just constant support and encouragement and enthusiasm so i don't think "under-appreciated" is the right word. if i simply go by kudos/comments, then it would be Mutually Beneficial, but again--i got really lovely comments, so 🥰

Most Fun Story To Write:

maybe grow some guts? it was meant to be short and silly and fun, and it was!

Most Unintentionally Telling Story:

hmm, i don't know how unintentional it was, but weaver of fate. there's a lot of me in there beyond, y'know. my taste in music 😅. types of relationships and food and choice/fate and a lot of the less fun stuff, too

Biggest Disappointment:

all the fics i didn't write, man. so many. my "half-baked ideas" folder has, like, ten files, including a prison au (🧡) called young and hostile that i started back in june

Biggest Surprise:

that i somehow started writing fantasy aus and couldn't stop??? i had only ever written one before (good omens au for malec) and it's my only unfinished story, so it was a nice surprise to see that i can apparently write fantasy (which is a relief, considering it's my favorite genre)

My Favorite Part Of Fandom This Year:

okay so i tried to think of just one thing but i can't. it's the fandom as a whole, is the thing. i've only been around since may but everyone in this corner is so nice and encouraging and unhinged (🖤) that it feels like the easiest thing in the world to join the community (even for someone like me who's bad at interacting and stuff!)
