When Their S/O Is a Seggs God
MINORS DNI
How would they react if their cute lover was like a succubus in bed LMAO Going through some hard stuff so wanted to drop this here to laugh a little JSDFHSDK-
A/N:Sorry for being inactive y'all i swear I'm not ignoring the requests, just preparing for an important exam this year, but I'll be back around Julyyyy
Little side note: Characters are aged up so don't come at me smh
part2 w/Dabi and Midoriya
Tumblr media
Bakugo
So we all know that this man doesn't sleep around randomly. My guy dates the "one" for him he's planning to marry you so if you aren't planning about settling down...
Too bad for you missy (Lemme see your ring finger bitch you gonna get wifed up💍)
After taking you out to meet his parents, this chili oil literally falls in love with you (i mean he already did but when he saw how you treated his momma and papa- boy was CHOKING ON HIS HEART❤️) so he decides to take your relationship to the next level.
Needs and excuse to leave early so literally tells his parents that he has a bad case of diarrhea ( Do ya'll know that video LMAO) and drags you out to his car
Lemme tell you he ran over at least 5 red lights just to have sex with you-
And you are just confused about why he's suddenly acting like a rabid dog i mean he's always acting like one but this time-
"Suki, why is your mouth foaming?"
On the way to your apartment, you had an inner conflict about actually taking him to a vet, you aint planning on telling him that tho.
After finally throwing you onto the shared bed like a sack of flour mf flies for a second in the air like a bloodthirsty mosquito- (the only difference is he's thirsty for the ✨All-mighty pussy juice✨)
Dw tho man asks for your consent because he loves you a lot and doesn't want your first time to be scary and all-
Wait did i say first time?
YES MF THINKS YOU'RE A VIRGIN- but guess what he's about to find out...
Before he can start kissing you, you push him onto his back and rip off his pants and leave a small peck on his lips before riding him like you are in a horse race- Good news gurl you are about to win, no one can compare
Poor man is speechless bc you are literally singing on his dick like you are the headliner in a choir...
And while you are singing you are rhythmically bouncing too LMAO
IM👏GONNA👏PUMP👏EVERY👏SINGLE👏DROP👏OUT👏OF👏YOU
He aint scared no he just swallowed his tongue by accident- cuz you know...
HIS GIRL IS LITERALLY DOING THE DUCK WALK ON HIS DICK (🦆🦆🦆)
WALK THAT FUCKING DUCK Y/N QUACK QUACK QUACK
He decides to grab your hips to slow you down a little bc you are causing an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9
but instead of slowing you down now you are making him jump on the bed with you too LMAOAOAOAOAO- imagine someone breaking in and seeing two floating figures on the bed
He's like "SLOW DOWN Y/N-"
Tumblr media
But nuh uh you are too caught up in your own horny world so you continue to milk him (Fr tho calm down queen aren't those legs tired?🦵)
After cumming for the 5th time he tapped out LMAO-
You gave him a concussion bc of making him bounce for too long KSJFHJSDKFGSDKJHSD- POOR KATSUKI
He was laying there, unconscious with drool dripping down his mouth and it took you three full minutes to realise that he passed out (OMG I'm gone-)
Fly high Katsuki Bakugo 🕊️🕊️
Dw tho you made sure to pamper him the morning after, bringing him a breakfast tray filled with pancakes and a cup of coffee. A cute innocent smile plastered on your face
"Morning, baby!"
Needless to say, he was shocked ( pretty sure he thinks it was the hottest night ever but doesn't wanna hurt his own pride by telling you that)
"WHAT HAPPENED-"
Tumblr media
Todoroki
BAHAHAHA OMG OK LISTEN-
So both of you are lovebirds obv because Todoroki would be the most caring boyfriend ever (i'll fight you about this one 🥊🥊🥊) so its impossible not to be in love with him
So pretty baby thinks it's going to be all about kisses, vanilla, sweet loving, him showing how much he cares about you etc.
AND HE IS A VIRGIN
Todoroki being a virgin is such a turn on he trusts you enough to give his first time to you (aw❤️🤍)
...but you didnt know that he was a virgin
I mean come on look at him how can he be a virgin while looking THAT PRETTY
So one time, while you guys were chilling on the couch watching Titanic and snacking on some strawberries together he decides to make the first move and gently holds your hand while whispering sweet things to your ear and then you hear the magical word (open sesame zimzalabim this coochie 🔮)
"Y/n, I wanna do it."
BIG MISTAKE SHOTO VERY BIG- So being the horny queen you are the wicked horny grin makes its way to your lips and baby is concerned Before he can say anything you immediately grab a strawberry and stuff it into his mouth and quickly try to get him off of his sweatpants
Then you work your magic on him by giving him the best and first head of his life ✨ and trust me he is enjoying it very much
Mmmm yes that famous glock glock 60000 GOBBLE UP BABES don't let em Santa Claus looking pubic hair get into your nose tho🎅
Pretty moans were filling the living room while his fingers lock with yours
But the baby was too lost in his own pleasure so he accidentally bit the strawberry and took it out of his mouth
But you noticed so you grabbed a new one and harshly shoved it into his mouth
"Dont. swallow. the. strawberry."
Babies eyes went wide
YOU SCARED HIM
AND IT WAS HIS FIRST TIME TOO
he %100 looked like this-
Tumblr media
So now he was drowning in his own pool of saliva trying not to bite into the strawberry while his eyes were rolling at the back of his head (bc of your amazing tongue skills)
Spot the difference between your mouth and a vacuum cleaner
NONE
When i tell you, you were sucking him DRY
like the next Todoroki generation got to the point of extinction
at this point he was trying to pry you off of his dick bc the overstimulation was TOO much lolol
Poor baby accidentally covered the couch with small burns
when you lifted your head to check up on him you were met with a sobbing Shoto
BOY WAS GASPING
Literally thought of bringing him an oxygen tank but decided against it bc he calmed down after receiving your loving kisses You layed his head on your chest while combing through his locks with your fingers, you made sure to give him a great aftercare
"Are first times are this rough?"
You choked on Casper the ghosts dick
"WHAT-" Literally mourned for two hours bc of treating him so roughly LMAO
A/N: I'm done- sorry for the typos if i have any, i was too lazy to edit :p

out of the woods - h.m.
a/n: i'm back with longer fics again! i was in a bit of a dry spell with inspiration but i'm finally getting back to it! you might be asking "lizzie will you ever stop naming your stories after taylor swift songs?" and the answer is no ❤️
warnings: smut (18+), kinda angsty? but not really, hope has her humanity off for a bit and her and reader are exes (but not for long), this is very very soft and the smut is pretty tame lmao, i didn't edit this at all
Tumblr media
"you're just not the person i fell in love with anymore."
the moment y/n broke up with hope was still a blur. hope's humanity shutdown was rough on everyone involved, but she never would have expected losing the love of her life over it.
at the same time, she understood. now that she had her humanity on, she realized how coldhearted she had become and the way she treated y/n reflected her lack of sympathy.
it hadn't took long for hope to realize that she had made a huge mistake. sure, she had little control over the way she acted when her humanity was off. regardless, she still mistreated y/n and lost her in the process.
y/n knew that she loved hope, and she was sure that she could cope with her supernatural qualities, including her occasional lack of humanity.
however, y/n quickly realized having humanity-less hope as a girlfriend was harder than she had imagined.
any kind of affection from her girlfriend was almost entirely out of the question. it felt like the person she loved had disappeared, and it was too much to handle.
ever since the breakup, hope had been determined to win y/n back. she understood that the trust between them had diminished and it would be hard to show y/n that her recent behavior was behind her.
y/n was apprehensive when she interacted with hope. she wasn't cold, but she certainly wasn't warm either. she just didn't believe that hope truly had turned her humanity back on, knowing that a vampire with their humanity off could be beyond tricky and manipulative.
a major part of her believed that hope would never do anything to hurt her, humanity or not, but she just couldn't take that risk.
hope had tried to open up to y/n about her humanity and tell her that she was truly back, but y/n would just brush her off.
"i just need more time," she would say, and hope would solemnly nod in understanding.
eventually, hope couldn't cope with y/n's indifference any longer.
"y/n, please just talk to me."
y/n finally agrees to sit down with hope, avoiding eye contact with her ex-girlfriend.
"please look at me, y/n. i miss you so much. i know i was awful to you."
y/n reluctantly looks up, locking eyes with hope.
"how do i know it's really you, hope? how can i believe you?"
hope can't help but feel hurt by y/n's lack of trust, but she knows she would feel the same way if she was in y/n's position.
"i've spent every minute of every day thinking about you, y/n. you are everything to me and it kills me that i hurt you so badly. i wasn't myself and i know that's not an excuse. but god y/n, i miss you so much. and i'm so sorry."
y/n softens at hope's words, realizing that she was being genuine.
"i miss you too. and i'm sorry for blowing you off. i guess i was just scared. i know you wouldn't hurt me. i just couldn't bring myself to talk, i didn't know if you were actually back or not."
"i'm here, y/n. and i'm never going away again."
hope tentatively brings her face closer to y/n's, waiting for a reaction.
when she doesn't get one, she presses her lips to y/n's.
when hope finally pulls away after what feels like an eternity, y/n wraps her arms around her tightly.
"i'm so glad you're here, hope. really here. i missed you."
hope melts into y/n's arms, allowing her head to rest on her shoulder.
"hope?"
"yeah?"
"be mine again. please."
hope doesn't respond, opting to kiss y/n again instead.
hope is gentle in every sense of the word, her hand gently resting on y/n's cheek, gently coaxing her to lay down.
she takes her time, wrapping her arms around y/n as she kisses her.
hope toys with the wastline of y/n's sweatpants, running her fingers over her stomach.
"may i?" she asks tentatively, looking deeply into y/n's eyes as she awaits her response.
"thought you'd never ask," y/n laughs quietly before attaching her lips to her girlfriend's once more.
hope's touch remains gentle as she dips below y/n's underwear. she studies y/n's face carefully, ensuring that she is completely okay with what she's doing.
"that's my girl. always doing so good," hope coos, listening to y/n's gentle whines.
when y/n falls over the edge, she wraps herself around hope again, wanting to be as close to her as possible.
hope holds y/n for some time, running her hand over her back.
just when hope thinks y/n has dozed off, she hears her sleepily mutter something in her ear.
"i love you."
hope wasn't sure if she would ever hear y/n say that again, and she feels relief flooding her whole body at her words.
"i love you so much, y/n."

The Sign - Ep 7
First of all, as always, I will officially ignore all the cop stuff, the doctor discussing his patient's condition and giving his data without a court order, how a person with a mental disorder is treated, and the meme quotes from Paulo Coelho 🙃 (It's interesting that the Dr. Chewconcretemotherfucker treated both art Art and Tharn 🤔)
It never ceases to amaze me how much Phaya has NO control over his face and his behavior in Dr. ChUNT's presence lmao. And how all Tharn gives him is basic politeness, and how it must be apparent to anyone interested (including Dr. Changinghisnameisapublicservice) that Tharn, his heart, and his body belong to someone else. So what exactly is he trying to achieve? The only thing left for him is to actually end this relationship in a drastic way… "So don't worry, I will see him to his bed" I bet your ass that you will Phaya! 😆 I'm 100% sure the only thing your bird brain registered is "I" and "Tharn" and "bed" 👍
Somehow, in this episode, Tharn was able to de-escalate the situation between Phaya and Dr. Chanceyougettharniszeroyoucunt (with just one sentence), and he was also able to confess why he was the way he was (it took him one sentence as well). This is what I wanted in last episode, but what we only got now to fit the plot… *sigh*
I really liked the scene of Phaya trying to explain himself to Tharn: he's freaking out, not controlling his emotions, grabbing Tharn's hands.. and those broken sentences, grimaces on his face, visible nervousness and distress. And how Tharn is worried about what he sees (that deep crease between his eyebrows), trying to hide his worry, comforting him. Phaya's line: "Just tell me you forgive me and all these symptoms would probably go away" floored me. That's some old romance novel shit, it gets me every time! 😍
Phaya and Tharn's conversation in the archive was great, making Phaya's position on being in a relationship clear. Tharn's reaction to what Phaya says and when he asks what would he do? Really nice, as Tharn shows mostly with his eyes how much it all affects him..
I love Phaya and how persistent he is, how he doesn't give up, how he treats all obstacles to his happy relationship with Tharn as something that simply needs to be overcome and that's it 😄 That's why he follows him like a dog, uses every opportunity to be with him and creates his own opportunities. Like inviting Tharn to his nest house to disarm him with his family, food and cat and ultimately WIN him. Which of course works! Who would have guessed, Phaya actually has some game after all lmao
The scene at Phaya's house was so sweet! Tharn is so loving and gentle with the cat, immediately noticing Namami, unconsciously petting him just beacuse he is within his arm reach, which is what cat people do without thinking. I love how everyone just passed the cat between them lol
I liked Tharn having fun, being relaxed, the way Phaya shows him around his nest, the way he talks to him about himself. Tharn staring at the eagle painting…
Ohhh, and we have a perfect confession. As it should be, because Phaya is so serious when it comes to Tharn: it was long, honest, romantic without exaggeration or cringe. It's nice that Tharn didn't interrupt him and made an emotional confession himself. I'm not surprised that Tharn gave in because everything had been building up to this point. The way he saw Phaya freaking out, the way Phaya kept pushing, the whole "love" atmosphere of their current case certainly made him think too. Tharn himself tells Phaya not to press him, suggesting that he doesn't have the strength to resist, because as Tongthai even said earlier, you can't "fall out of love." You can't just shut down your feelings and desires. And Tharn FEELS it and oh god how much he wants it. And what I think convinced him was that Phaya didn't dismiss his worries with the traditional "don't worry" or "everything will be fine" or worse, "you're exaggerating, it's just a delusion." No, Phaya took his fears upon himself, saying that HE would try not to leave THARN, taking the burden of keeping Phaya alive off Tharn's shoulders. "I'll do whatever it takes so that you won't be sad or lose me", because his life is his responsibility, not Tharn's. What Phaya did was notice Tharn's worry, recognize it, take it upon himself, and let Tharn relax. That's why I'm not surprised that Tharn allowed himself a moment of happiness, to reach for what he wants. Perhaps it's a moment of weakness that he will regret later, but come on, Tharn is not made of steel! He's just a cute lil' guy and he's in love and horny! 😭 Oh, but this confession had its beautiful moments: "I really want to have you by my side in every day of my life" "This is the best I can do, please don't force me" "I promise not to leave you"
Love scene: YES. I love Phaya when, before they started, he takes a deep breath, as if he's finally at peace, because this is it, he FINALLY has everything he wants, everything is right with the world. And then he just go for it. I fucking love predatory, hungry Phaya. I love the pliant Tharn, how he's almost always with his back to Phaya in an act of sweet submission and ultimate trust. Phaya had moments as if he couldn't believe that they were together and when he realized that yes, this was really happening, he became even more passionate, as if he couldn't get enough of Tharn. It was incredibly hot. There was a lot of heavy breathing, pulling on skin, tight embraces, intense caresses, hungry looks. And am I seeing things or there was a scene of Tharn nodding his consent and implication that Phaya was preparing him? 👀 Anyway, the scene was an intoxicating mix of Phaya and Tharn's fantasies: it was pretty, pink, emotional and hot.
When I finally see them together, I'm as happy as Phaya with a naked, tattooed, wet Tharn in the shower 😄💖🥳 everything is right with the world.

I AM AN ABSOLUTE JUMBLED MESS, SO HAVE SOME OF MY MESSY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE CROSSOVER TODAY, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
So far, we've got Tango in Gobland, Scar in Tumble Town, Pearl and Joe in Chromia, Cleo and Xisuma in Eversea, Keralis and Jevin in Sanctuary. Impulse and Grian are kind of making their own places. Did I miss anyone?
There are two kinds of emperors in this crossover: the ones who stick to the lore and claim they don't know the Hermits and the ones who drop everything and yell "MY RANCHER!".
Pix fits the second category, though a lot quieter.
Pearl fits the first, which is strange, considering her role as Literally God. At this point we really can't be sure of what exactly this means for Pearl or for Sausage. What is she?
Gem is her own category. There's something very sus going on with her.
Jimmy absolutely freaking out over seeing Tango again though-
I think at this point it's canon that either people have nametags floating above their heads or everyone is wearing an actual name tag and that's how they all know each other's names even though they never met.
Scott just got a magical flash grenade to the eye. How is this man seeing anything after the entire sky erupted in magic light-
Sausage. I'm not surprised. Not even disappointed. Xisuma most certainly is, though.
Is it a custom in Sanctuary to kiss people on the cheeks or is Sausage like... actively making out with newcomers? I know this is a very weird question, but it's Sausage we're talking about.
Joel adopted the one night armour stand joke lmao-
Tango freaking out over every little thing he sees.
Murder is canonically legal in Empires.
Grian is a force of chaos, as expected.
Rancher duo collabs again, pog? With horns and everything?
And Tango is now an engineer in Gobland, which means Fwhip might have some more to do other than poke the Sheriff. This crossover is a win all around for Jimmy, except for the toy jokes, which may increase, but I will thoroughly ignore that-
There's No Curse In Glimmer Grove.
Sausage keeping tabs on all the Hermits. That' either means that he's not as unsuspecting of them as he may seem or it implies that all Hermits are now their own empiresonas-
Grian's appearance in Tumble Town was so incredibly ominous, holy sh-
Shelby trying to be hospitable but at the same time being a witch inviting unsuspecting people into her hut in the cursed swamp after claiming the fog eats souls and pulling out a scythe. I'd be terrified.
Hats and mounts get passed all around. Is this a crime?
Why does only Pearl get an outfit change? I mean, I know why, but like, canonically speaking, why did it happen?
Still, I felt a bit teary-eyed upon seeing the Arena Duo together again, the Gilded Helianthia dress only made it better. I missed these guys interacting so much, and I don't know if I'm in denial like Sausage or if I'm just about to open a Word document to write an entire one shot about it-
Sausage had a vision of Gilded Helianthia, I'm not ok
Oh god, now we have both Joel and Scar yelling LORE in the same place, save us-
So convenient that E!False decided to travel far away right when HC!False shows up. Smart decision, yes, but at the same time, the fanfic writers must now assemble to make the two of them meet.
Ok, so apparently some people remember the Life series and some people don't. I guess that means that some of the characters, such as Jimmy, Joel and Scar, are the same characters from the Life series after they lost their third life. Other characters, such as Scott and Pearl, are not. But what does this mean?
Fwhip sounded so hurt for a moment when he thought Jimmy made Scar his new deputy. This man is not ok.
Soup Group? Soup Group.
Big ears Scar is cursed.
Sausage is too hospitable for his own good.
Scar's deputy and moral support arc. I'm happy for it, but at the same time, I don't trust it.
On one hand, I do think the wallpaper in Tumble Town looks very pretty and it would be so sad to destroy it. On the other hand, Jimmy deserves some dignity and shouldn't take this slander anymore, I swear to god-
Poor Impulse is so confused, why is this cat lady yelling at him, why are animals walking on two legs, where is he, he's having a crisis-
Stratos' class system gets called out, finally.
Just when Joel was so close to convincing the fandom that he's tall, the Empires' folk shut it down and confirm that they're only playing along and he is not, in fact, tall. Short king is back?
Katherine, when you go around telling everyone, including literal strangers your secret, I don't think it can be considered a secret anymore.
Fwhip encourages crime, such a good deputy of the law.
But then again, it's not stealing, it's borrowing-
Seeing the empires from the Hermits' perspectives is crazy, I hadn't realised just how massive these empires got.
The Hermits are staying for a while. I'm so happy this isn't going to be a one-episode thing, I'm dying to see where this goes!
(I'm trying to watch as many perspectives as I can. Some of them haven't come out yet, and I don't feel like watching Keralis' hour long episode. Can someone tell me what happens there?)

you seem to have a good read on HQ and your takes are great, so i have a question...and if you'd rather not go there, please ignore this! but i see oikawa get called "arrogant" quite often and i'm curious, would you say he is? what is it that makes people think that? imo he has a plenty of flaws, but i truly don't think arrogance is one of them. self-centered, sure, but not arrogant i think. i'm open to being wrong, i'm just legit so confused by that particular criticism, it makes me doubting my reading comprehension. i feel like that one post that's like "free my man, he didn't do that. he did a lot of other stuff tho" LOL. if you do answer this, then thanks for your time!
oh, dear anon. this is a very very big question and i'm honored you think i am capable of providing an answer that does it justice!! i don't consider myself an oikawa expert by far, but i'll do my best because he's still very beloved to me, and i hope whatever i say helps!
(but also - maybe take what i say with a grain of salt LMAO)
anyways, to get the main point out of the way: i completely agree that oikawa isn't arrogant! i actually haven't seen any commentary about that myself (bless!!!), so i can't say for sure why some people might think that, but my guess is that they think his pridefulness = arrogance — they think that the confidence he has in himself and seijoh contributes nothing to their actual power and is utterly meaningless if they don't win, especially in the face of ushijima. which, like, come on. what kind of captain would he be if he wasn't confident in himself and his teammates? is he supposed to tell them that they're going to lose??? is he supposed to discourage their hard work and effort???
or maybe it's because oikawa acts like he's all that, but doesn't have anything to show for it. who does he think he is? what does he think his pride is worth? what right does he have to go around making grand declarations when he has nothing to his name?
(which isn't entirely true, either, but we'll get into that, promise.)
now, do i think that he can, occasionally, be flippant, shallow, and/or petty? yeah, sure. he's got one hell of a personality about it. even iwaizumi says as much. oikawa is great at being a little shit. it's one of my favorite things about him!
but is oikawa genuinely arrogant, or self-centered? well . . . i don't think so.
see, here's the thing about oikawa: he knows he's good, but he doesn't think he's good enough. i think it'd be easiest to really explain what that meant if we broke this down into two separate parts, so let's give it a go, shall we?
(buckle up, friends, because it's about to get LONG. also: TIMESKIP SPOILERS!! and there's a tldr at the start of the tags because. WOW.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so, first things first: if people are calling oikawa arrogant, then i'm like 99% sure that they don't actually know what the word "arrogant" means.
"arrogant" is used to describe someone full of themselves. it's used to describe someone conceited and pompous. it's used to describe someone so assured of and invested in their self-importance that they don't care for other people, and if it seems like they do, then it's usually wildly off the mark and still serves to inflate their own egos.
oikawa has never once been like that. he's been pretty much the exact opposite, in fact.
and yeah, sure, by his third year of high school, he knows he's good at volleyball, and that's fine! it's perfectly all right to claim you're good at something if you have the skills/experience to back it up. confidence is healthy as long as it isn't in overabundance, and we actually see a lot of this throughout the series!
(not to mention that this was where ushijima fell short. he was overflowing with confidence. he did not believe, for even a single second, that hinata shouyou and his meager, scrappy little flock of crows could beat him.
but oikawa? he knew. he knew what it looked like to make something bloom.)
the key to oikawa's confidence that made him better was that he could pinpoint others' strengths and weaknesses just as well as he could with his own. and (bear with me, please, i might get kind of boring here bc it's nothing that hasn't been said in the manga before) i don't mean it in the way we see the coaches or more analytical players do, as observations to be taken advantage of by everyone else; i mean that in the sense of how vital it is to his position as a setter. that was always the biggest difference between oikawa and kageyama: no matter how much more raw talent kageyama had, no matter how much better oikawa believed him to be, kageyama, especially in the beginning, struggled to do what oikawa could with a team. kageyama struggled to bring out the best in each player. and it wasn't because he didn't know how -- oikawa freely admitted that kageyama had the skill for it, that kageyama, once he got his shit together, could win against him -- it was because kageyama didn't have that same confidence in himself.
(not until much later, anyways. but that's another story, for another time.)
so, oikawa's confident. he knows he's good. he can bring out the best in each player. he's got a killer serve (and a killer smile!), a mind for tactics that borders on machievallianism, and cherishes the trust he is given like it's something precious. his coaches let him lead without leaning on them. his team has the utmost respect and admiration for him. he has a reputation. from karasuno to shiratorizawa to the whole of miyagi -- there is not a single character who knows oikawa tooru and would believe that he is, in any way, bad at volleyball.
but it's not enough. despite all of that, oikawa still doesn't think he's good enough. and that, friends, brings us to the second point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
oikawa tooru is nothing if not passionate.
so were the others, of course. kageyama kept going after his grandfather's death. hinata kept going while being a nobody from nowhere with no one to back him up. atsumu kept going while osamu didn't. it's not even about just those who went pro -- kenma, kuroo, noya, and everyone else found things that they were passionate about and kept going with it. the entire story revolves around loving what you do and trying to keep that love alive, and, sometimes, that can be really, really difficult when it seems like it doesn't love you back.
oikawa was so insecure over kageyama to the point where he nearly decked the poor kid. oikawa got crushed by ushijima-- who kept telling him that his team was not good enough, that his choices were not good enough, that there was nothing good enough to be proud of -- for years in a row. oikawa was taught that there would always be someone better than him no matter how skilled he was, but if he let that stop him then he didn't fucking belong on the court in the first place.
oikawa tooru is intimately acquainted with not being good enough, but he keeps trying to be. he keeps going. he tries to keep the love alive even if he's not loved back. he pushes and practices and takes a plane far from home to become even better. even if he doesn't have the skill, even if he doesn't have the talent, even if he doesn't have the love -- he still has his pride. and what does that mean, in the end? how far does that take him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the end, oikawa tooru walks across a world stage and sees people who believed in him on the other side and calls it a family reunion. in the end, he gets to play the volleyball that reminds him of why he loves it and how it gives him so much love back. in the end, his pride is unyielding and unbreakable, a product of the forge. he molded it with his own two hands. he will not let it falter so easily.
arrogance would not have taken oikawa tooru this far. i hope this has proven that he is anything but.
remember: instinct is something you polish. talent is something you make bloom. and never, ever let anyone else tell you what your pride is worth.

Coffee Date
I literally never thought I’d be writing a white knight fic but here I am lmao. Takes place after vol 9!
Cross posted on ao3 under the same name!
“This is weird,” Jaune said, frowning. “Why is it weird?”
He was sitting across from Weiss, at a little cafe in Vacuo. It was their first date, kind of. Neither of them were really sure what they were doing here. At least, Jaune was sure he had no idea what he was doing here.
“Because you’re making it weird?” Weiss asked, rolling her eyes. She gave him a once over, a small smirk forming. “You know, I think I was more attracted to you when you were 40.”
Jaune stood up from the table. “Alright, well, we had a good run.”
“Jaune, sit down,” Weiss said with a laugh, pulling him back down into his seat. “That was a joke.”
“Right, right.” Jaune wiped his hands on his pants nervously. “Sorry. I’ve… never been on a real date before.”
“Me either.”
“Wait, really?”
Weiss raised an eyebrow. “When would I have had the time? Ruby and Yang were constantly getting into things at Beacon, and then there was all the studying and then after that, well, we’ve been busy.”
“I mean, before Beacon-”
“Before Beacon I was entirely at my father's beck and call.” Weiss gave a humorless smile. “I wasn’t allowed to go on dates.”
Honestly, that made Jaune feel a little bit better. Maybe he wasn’t entirely out of his depth here.
Okay he was, but at least Weiss was there with him.
Jaune took a deep breath, holding his coffee cup tightly. Weiss had gotten there before him and ordered them both a cup. His was just the way he liked it.
Weiss always remembered how everyone took their coffee.
“You know, you’re really sweet, beneath the ice queen exterior,” he teased.
To his surprise, Weiss flushed. “No one’s ever accused me of being sweet before.”
“It wasn’t an accusation. More like an observation.” Jaune smiled warmly at her. “And I mean it. You’re a genuinely warm and caring person, Weiss. And even if this doesn’t work out, I’m really glad to have you as a friend.”
Weiss went an even darker red. Jaune wasn’t sure he’d ever seen her look like that before. It was kind of cute. “You can’t just say things like that, Jaune!”
“Sure I can. And did.”
Weiss rolled her eyes. “Don’t think flattery will get you anywhere.”
Jaune laughed. “Oh, don’t worry, I know that. I tried that back at Beacon and it never got me anywhere.” He cringed now, thinking back to how much of a jerk he was at Beacon. No wonder Weiss had never given him the time of day. “I’m sorry for that, actually. I shouldn’t have been so…”
“Relentless?” Weiss offered.
“Relentless,” Jaune agreed. “I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. But it turns out girls like you better when you treat them like people instead of objects.”
“Groundbreaking,” Weiss deadpanned, a frown forming on her face. “Except it was only me you treated that way.”
Yeah, his past behavior hadn’t exactly been great. “Well, I didn’t have a crush on anyone else, I guess. And you were the only one who didn’t give me the time of day, so I thought I had to win you over.” Jaune grimaced slightly. “I was an idiot.”
“You were an idiot,” Weiss agreed, smiling. “But not anymore.”
It was Jaune’s turn to blush. “Eh, well, I’m still kind of an idiot.”
Weiss shook her head. “Jaune, you’re not an idiot. You’re a brilliant strategist, a loyal friend, and a good person.”
Jaune’s face got redder. “I-well, thank you, Weiss.”
“You’re welcome.” Weiss paused, looking unsure. “So it wasn’t just because I was a Schnee?”
“No, of course not!” Jaune tilted his head. “Is that a thing?”
“You have no idea.” Weiss stared down into her coffee cup. “Before I went to Beacon, the only friends I had were people who wanted to use me for their own gains. When you showed interest in me back then, I assumed the worst.”
Oh that… really shed a lot of light on their interactions. “I didn’t know.”
Weiss waved her hand dismissively. “Of course you didn’t. It’s not like I would have told you.”
“Still, though.” Jaune took a sip of his coffee, mulling things over. “I know Atlas was your home, and you miss it, but it was kind of shitty, right?”
“I take it all back, Jaune, you’re still an idiot.” Weiss shook her head at him, although she didn’t look upset. A little sad, but not upset. “You’re right, though. It was a mess of petty politics and terrible rich people who had never worked a day in their life. I had thought maybe we could rebuild, one day, but… is it even worth it? Should we just let it stay buried?”
“I think if anyone can rebuild it and make it better, it’s you, Weiss,” Jaune said sincerely.
Weiss flushed pink again, smiling nervously. “Thanks, Jaune. You are…surprisingly charming.”
Jaune nearly choked on his coffee. “I’m what?”
“And the moment’s gone.” Weiss took a sip of her own coffee. “Should we do this again next week?”
“Uh, yeah, of course!” Jaune agreed eagerly. “It’s a date?”
Weiss nodded, smiling. “It’s a date.”

Warnings: Alcohol, mentions of an accident, someone becoming paralyzed, dub-con, only a little bit of grinding lmao kind of a love triangle
Part Two! Part Three!
Tumblr media
Part One
There was something brewing in the air the night you saw him. The wind had stilled, the air grew thick with moisture, and the smell of rain tickled your nose. Tension was high and you could feel it and the horses could too.
That night was an important one, probably the most important one of your career. It practically determined if you would be able to keep your family's ranch or not. You were in the final champion show for reining horses and the pool of riders was small, just you and about twenty others. Apparently, you were expected to win, at least so you thought.
That all changed when he showed up on his big blue roan stallion and you instantly knew that you had lost. He got a perfect score and a standing ovation from the crowd, that night his horse had become the number one reining horse in the whole country.
You ended up having to pull out before you ran, his horse had kicked yours in the knee, hard, on the way out of the arena in a scuffle you thought had to be fate. Both stallions never even acknowledge each other until you locked your gaze with his. He didn’t even apologize, all he did was turn his nose up at you and told you to “get a better hold on that damn stud, its a fuckin’ wonder you even made it this far.”
Those words lit a fire under you that would burn hot and bright for three years and for three years you worked hard to climb back up to the top of the ranks, and along the way you would never forget the face of Bakugou Katsuki, the man that took everything away from you.
------------------------------ Three Years Later—------------------
His face was everywhere you turned and so was that fucking blue roan. Your knuckles turned white as you gripped the magazine in your hands, staring into the red gaze of Bakugou Katsuki.
“If you keep glarin’ at that magazine any longer it’s gonna catch on fire,” Toshinori’s deep voice sounded from next to you.
You sighed, drawing your gaze away from your number one rival, well at least in your mind he was your number one rival. “I know,” you answered with a sigh, “it’s just why does everyone kiss the ground this guy walks on? He’s not that great.”
“He’s number one,” Toshinori answered loosely.
“Well I’m gonna be number one too,” you seethed, “just wait, this year it’s gonna change.”
Toshinori looked at you, his expression was soft, yet it held mild concern. He had always looked out for you, being your father’s best friend and all. Once your father passed away, and you lost the ranch, he stepped up and tried to make sure you would fill your dad’s boots, but it proved to be harder than he thought. You had the potential for sure, but you were hot-headed and stubborn.
“Stop lookin’ at me like that, Toshi,” you sighed as the announcer told the crowd that the competition was about to start.
Toshinori sighed as he ran a hand through his straw colored hair, “I know, but kid, you’ve gotta cool off, that horse of yours gets too riled up when you do and you mess up. Both of you can’t be too hot out there or you’ll keep gettin’ second.”
“I know that,” you said through gritted teeth as your gaze cut to your stallion. He had gotten older, probably older than most stallions in the show, but he was your pride and joy, a big dunskin with four white socks. He was a good horse, mean as hell when he needs to be, which you liked, that meant he was smart.
However, you did acknowledge you both were too hot in the arena. Too insync with each other needs to go, to be number one. So you nodded and sighed, letting your shoulders relax as you reined in your anger.
Today you would be calm. Nothing could even go wrong really, this was just a qualifying bracket and an early one too. Your horse was way too good to not get first right now. If you won this bracket you’d move up and then you’d be three shows away from competing with Bakugou.
“Go get on, you’re about to run,” Toshinori’s voice cut into your thoughts.
You glanced up at your uncle and nodded, deciding to keep quiet as you got on your horse and made your way into the arena. You were the first one to go. The crowd was sparse, but that didn’t matter to you, you weren’t there to impress, like a certain someone you knew.
The announcer called your name and number and you set off, going through your course pretty smoothly until you came to your last sliding stop. As your horse slid across the arena dirt you suddenly locked eyes with the last person you were expecting to see at your show.
Bakugou.
In fact, he was sitting right next to Toshinori, listening as your uncle rambled about something, but he was watching you. He had his legs crossed at the knee, showing off his fancy new boots that you could tell cost him a pretty penny.
You narrowed your eyes and backed your horse up before patting the side of his neck. He was breathing hard, and so were you. The fire inside of your belly got hot with anger as your rival lifted his lips up into a smirk.
You turned your horse away from him and made your way out of the arena and back towards your trailer and truck that were parked. Some voices sounded from behind you and you didn’t even bother to look back, you knew whose voice that was. That deep timbre accented with a country twang that had all your girlfriends raging.
With a disgruntled sigh you stopped your horse and got off, still keeping to yourself as you led him up to where his halter was tied at the trailer.
“Did good out there, kid,” Toshinori said as he patted your horse's bum, “Cowboy is easily gonna take the win on this one.”
“Didn’t keep your hands soft though,” Bakugou quickly added in before you could say your thanks to your uncle.
“Don’t talk to me about soft hands,” you hissed as you took off your horse's bridle and placed his halter back on, roughly tying the rope by the side of his cheek while he started to grab at his hay net.
“Bakugou does have soft hands, darlin’,” Toshinori gently said. Even though he knew you hated Bakugou’s guts, he also knew that he’d be a great teacher to you. Teach you patience and how to cool off, something he had to teach Bakugou himself. Granted he had to admit your temper was much more fiery than the blond next to him.
You clenched your jaw, muttering something venomous under your breath as you undid the girth of your saddle.
“What was that?” Bakugou asked, lifting an eyebrow as he moved up next to you, and easily lifted the saddle from your horse's back.
“Nothin’,” you snapped, watching as he easily placed your saddle back on its rack in the tack section of your trailer. “I had that.”
“Y/n,” Toshinori hissed quietly from behind you, “let the poor boy help ya, okay? He’s trying to extend - wadda you call it?- an olive branch?”
“Olive branch or not, he’s full of it,” you sneered, eyeing Bakugou as he snooped through your tack, “you and I both know he’s just sniffin’ out the competition. Does this every year, it gets his rivals unnerved. You saw what happened to Izuku last year? Yeah, you and I both know Izuku doesn’t just fall off his horse during a spin, Bakugou got all up in his head.”
Toshinori’s lips flattened into a flat line, he seemed displeased that you brought up his favorite student, practically his other adopted son besides Bakugou. “Katsuki isn’t like that, don’t you dare blame him.”
“Yeah fuckin’ right, Toshi. You just can’t see it cause you love him like he’s your own, but I can. He’s a snake, plays dirty as hell to get what he wants. Even to his best friend, Izuku, and he’ll do it to me too. Your actual family,” you said, feeling your anger flare as you turned on your heel heading towards Bakugou who was looking at your horse's stifles.
“These look a little sore, probably need to get them injected,” he said, lips quirked up again at the sight of your deepening frown.
“Yeah? Are you a vet?” you scoffed as you kicked his knee, prompting him to stand up. He was tall, you'd give him that. Probably around 6’4 without his boots on. You knew he liked to use his height to intimidate people, but that didn’t work on you. Not anymore. “Get the hell out of here, I know what you’re doin’ and it’s not gonna work.”
“And what would that be, princess?” Bakugou drawled as he leaned against your trailer.
“You’re trying to get in my head, make me mess up,” you answered while folding your arms across your chest. “It’s not gonna work this year, Katsuki. I’m gonna take that number one spot from you.”
Bakugou’s playful dememour instantly turned dark at your threat, he laughed, it was deep and mocking. “I highly doubt that. You can try, but just like all the years past you’ll mess up. Get all tangly in that head of yours,” he said as he flicked you in the forehead.
“Ouch!” you hissed, rubbing your forehead as you glared up at him. “That supposed to scare me? C’mon Bakugou, you can do better than that,” you hissed glancing back at your uncle who was on his phone and not listening, which allowed you to lean into Bakugou closer, “I know what you said to Izuku last year, don’t think that’s gonna work on me.”
An emotion flashed across Bakugou’s face that you couldn’t place, but you quickly guessed it might have been guilt, which was strange. However, it was quickly replaced with a smug smirk, “you think so? Then you better watch out, princess, you’ll be next.”
You huffed and rolled your eyes, “alright, sure. Go and get, I’m tired of lookin’ at you.”
Bakugou huffed, glancing up at your uncle who was now watching you both, “yeah whatever, work on your hands? I want to have some actual competition this year, ya know?”
You snorted and shook your head as you watched him turn on his heel and walk towards his obnoxiously large black truck. Well, you both had the same truck but yours was better. “Let’s go home,” you said aloud.
—-----------------
“Don’t you think you should listen to him?” your friend Tsu asked as she rode past you on her large warmblood gelding.
“My hands are soft,” you said with a huff as you loosened your reins.
Tsu shook her head as he cantered up towards a high jump. You could hear her counting her strides before her horse leaped over the jump and landed perfectly on the other side. She rode back up to you and came to a stop, “he’s right, you extend your shoulder too far out, I think you’re just being nice to Cowboy. He’d do better with more contact on his bit.”
You frowned as you grabbed your reins and adjusted your arm so you weren’t letting it hang too far over the saddle. It’s not like you didn’t have soft hands, you did, but that’s when you were riding English. Which is where you met your friend Tsu. Both of you met when you were younger and learned everything you knew about riding.
“That’s better,” she said as she watched you trot around her. “I hate to say it, but maybe you should let Bakugou give you a lesson?”
Tsu!” you almost screeched causing her horse to jump at the shrill tone of your voice, “you did not just say that!”
Tsu laughed, “just kidding, Y/n, but maybe go watch him ride?”
You chewed the inside of your cheek as you mulled over her suggestion, “I guess I could. Maybe get inside his head.”
“Sure sure,” Tsu said with another chuckle as she glanced down at her watch, “look I gotta go, but text me if you’re going to that bar tonight with Ochako and Momo?”
“I will, just be ready by ten just in case,” you said as you watched Tsu head back to the stable. You were currently working as a ranch manager on Toshinori’s ranch which allowed Tsu to board her horse at his stable for cheap. It was a nice gig and Toshi paid you well, despite you being his niece.
Granted he needs the extra help anyway. You swallowed thickly as a memory flashed in your eyes. You took a shaky breath before heading back to the stables and watching Tsu peel out of the driveway in her green car.
You dismounted Cowboy and began untacking him again and let him loose around the stable so he could graze. He was good for a stallion, you trained him well, so you didn’t have to worry too much about him getting to the mares or the other horses. You’d still put him up before you left anyway.
“He’s always been a good one, hasn’t he?” a gentle voice said from inside of the stables.
You squinted as you watched Izuku wheel out of the stable with a solemn look on his face. “Yeah, Cowboy is a special horse.”
“I know, you’ve trained him up pretty good, Y/n,” Izuku said with a small smile as he stopped his wheelchair in front of you.
You smiled down at Izuku. What had happened to him was tragic. He was neck and neck with Bakugou during last year's championship competition. You thought he was better than Bakugou actually, he had raw talent and a work ethic that was insane.
Although during his run last year something that seemed impossible happened, Izuku came out strong but once he got to his last spin his horse slipped and landed right on Izuku crushing his lower back and paralyzing him almost immediately.
You knew Bakugou had been taunting him before, telling him not to hold his reins too tight, don’t press his heel too hard into his horse's side, relax in the saddle or something would go wrong. All things to unnerve Izuku and for Izuku to have a fall like that, whether it was his fault or his horse just slipped, you would always blame Bakugou for trying to get into Izuku’s head, mess with him. It wasn’t right.
You’d never forget the cry that Izuku let out when his horse landed on him or the shock in his voice when he shouted he couldn’t feel his legs, it was horrifying.
“You okay?” Izuku asked, tilting his head as his green curls fell to the side of his face.
You nodded and plastered on a smile, “yeah, and hey we got first yesterday. Gonna knock Bakugou down from the top this year.”
Izuku smiled, “I’m sure you will, Y/n.”
“Thanks Izu,” you said with a smile as you placed your hand on his shoulder.
“Y/n,” Izuku began as he gazed out into the open arena, “I know you blame him, but he didn’t do this. I just want you to know that, it was just an accident.”
You curled your fingers into Izuku’s shoulder, “He shouldn’t have been telling you all of that before your run. He got into your head, made you nervous Izu.”
“He did do that, but I’ve made peace that it was an accident,” Izuku said, even though there was a small hint of anger in his voice.
“If you think so,” you said quietly, watching your best friend gaze out across the field to where some of the horses were grazing, including his now gelded stallion.
Izuku nodded and gave you a small smile, “have fun tonight, don’t let Ochako talk to any other guys,” he teased.
You snorted, “she’s only got eyes for you, Izu.”
Izuku’s cheeks flushed and he looked away from you trying to conceal his grin.
You grinned and ruffled his hair before heading inside to get ready to have fun with your friends, but the nagging voice in your head told you that Izuku should be with you too.
—---------------------
The bar you were in was a bit interesting, but it was your favorite. There was a big dance floor in the middle, lots of places to sit, some places to play pool, and a mechanical bull. However, the best part was that off to the far right there was a small indoor arena where there would be bull riding at midnight.
It was pretty entertaining and it helped you loosen up a bit. Which you needed, you were acutely aware of the stick up your ass right now.
The music was loud as you chugged down a whiskey sour before reaching for another one, feeling your body become buzzed with the alcohol. It felt nice to be feeling so light for once.
“Ooh! Look! They’re about to ride the bulls,” Momo shouted as she dragged you across the bar and towards the arena where you both climbed onto a table to get a better look.
“What about Tsu and Ochako?” you slurred as you fixed your crop top.
“They’ll catch up!” Momo shouted as the lights turned on and the announcer started to hype up the crowd as the guys in the pen got the first bull ready.
“First up we’ve got Eijirou Kirishima or better known as Red Riot! He’s well known around here, never seen a guy take as many horns to the side as him, dude’s built like a boulder!” the announcer shouted as the crowd went wild.
Your eyes widened as you watched the largest guy you’ve ever seen get on his bull, which was huge too. He had a mass of wild red hair and laughed as his buddies slapped him on the shoulder.
“That’s like your dream guy, Y/n,” Momo said loudly as she watched your face, you were in utter awe.
“I know,” you said as you mindlessly took a sip of your drink.
“Better go get ‘em before the other girls do,” Momo said with a giggle as she nudged your arm, “you gotta let loose for once.”
You nodded, keeping your eyes glued to Kirishima as his ride started. He was good, hanging on tight as he kept one arm up while the bull bucked wildly around the small arena. You let out a gasp as the bulls head slammed back into Kirishima’s face causing his mask to fly off, but he held on until the timer buzzed and then let go. He landed rather roughly but managed to scramble to his feet and climb the fence.
In a brief moment you caught his scarlet gaze and he grinned and wiped the blood off his face from his nose.
“Did he just smile at you?” Momo asked, glancing between the two of you.
You nodded, a slow grin growing on your face as you watched Kirishima hop off the fence and towards the back after his bull exited the arena. “He did.”
—----------
Across the bar, Bakugou was nursing a warm beer as Denki continued to ramble on about how he breaks in colts to the girl snuggled into his side.
“Look who's here,” Shindo said from next to Bakugou as he set his beer down, “Y/n’s up on that table with Shoto’s girl, yeah?”
Bakugou turned his gaze towards you to see you standing on your toes, dressed in something he doesn't usually see you in. He then watched as you hopped off the table and practically sprinted towards the arena. “The hell is she scurrying off to?”
“Who knows,” Shindo said with a yawn, “that one is trouble though, mean as hell, just like that stud she has,” he added as he rubbed his arm, there was a small scar there from when your horse bit him.
Bakugou huffed, cutting his gaze to Cami who had come back by his side and placed her hand on his chest, “got your drink?”
She nodded, grinning as she took a sip of her drink, “yup, thanks for paying, Kats.”
He nodded, giving her cheek a small pinch between his fingers as he turned his gaze back towards you. To his surprise you were talking with one of his close friends, Eijirou Kirishima. He was a bull rider and did some ranch work on the side, pushing cattle and such.
“Oh she’s talking to Eijirou,” Shindo said with a snort, “he better watch out, sure she bites too.”
“You’re just jealous,” Sero finally spoke up from the other side of the booth, “she’s rejected you like four times, Shindo.”
“Yeah whatever,” Shindo said with a snort as he took a heavy sip from his beer.
Bakugou furrowed his brows as he watched his friend tuck some of your hair behind your ear, and he felt something heavy settle in his stomach like lead.
—-----------------
“You’re really good,” you said rather awkwardly to Kirishima who had just tucked a strand of loose hair behind your ear.
“You think so?” he said with a chuckle as he let his hand drop down next to his side again.
You nodded, “yeah,” you trailed off, feeling your face turn hot.
Kirishima laughed, “you’re cute, you wanna dance?” he asked as he held his hand out for you.
Your eyes widened, “um okay, I’m not very good though."
He laughed again as his hand engulfed yours, “that’s okay, just follow my lead. I’ll take good care of ya.”
You smiled as you let him lead you onto the dance floor and he immediately pulled you in close. He was tall, pushing 6’6 and you were level with his chest, which meant you had to look up to see his face.
Kirishima placed his hand on the small of your back and held your hand in his as he began to pull you along to the music, making you laugh.
“Gonna twirl ya, ready?” he asked, his scarlet eyes shining under the multicolored lights.
You nodded, grateful that the alcohol was making you more relaxed and definitely looser, or you knew you’d be stiff as a board in his arms. A small shout escaped you as he twirled you and then dropped you down into a dip, making you scramble to grab onto him.
“You’re just too cute sweetheart,” he cooed, giving you a wide smile and exposing a set of perfectly white teeth.
You nearly melted as he pulled you back up flush against him. He smelled good too, like spice and just a little bit of alcohol. It was almost addicting as he pulled you close to him again, and ran his thumb over the back of your hand as he led you both around the dance floor.
The song soon ended and you found yourself back in a secluded booth sipping on another whiskey sour as Kirishima told you about his day job of working as a ranch hand at Crimson Ranch.
“So what about you darlin’?” Kirishima asked as he pulled you closer to him and rested his big hands on your thighs.
“Oh I work as a ranch manager for my uncle’s ranch now, but I rein,” you answered as you felt yourself lean into him.
“Really?” Kirishima drawled as he inched his hands up further on your bare thighs, “well, believe it or not, I’ve seen you ride before, you’re talented.”
Your eyes widened, “you have?”
Kirishima nodded, “yeah, one of my friends does reining too, he’s pretty good, but I’d reckon you’re better,” he said with a wink.
If he hadn't already won you over with the smooth talking and dancing he sure did now. “Yeah?”
Kirishima nodded, as he helped you settle onto his lap. He gazed up at you as he placed his hands on your hips and hooked his thumbs into your belt loops and pulled you flush against him, “oh yeah, you and that dunskin make a good pair, you gonna bring home the championship this year?”
“Now you’re just tryin’ to butter me up,” you said, trying to keep your cool as you resisted the urge to grind down on him.
Kirishima almost purred, “nah, just tellin’ the truth darlin’.”
You lifted an eyebrow, “dunno, not sure if I believe ya.”
“No?” Kirishima teased as he watched you lean over, you both were so close that your lips were just barely grazing his.
“No,” you answered, letting your eyes close as he pressed his lips to yours. A soft sigh escaped you as you kissed him. He tasted like whiskey and a little bit of blood, but that didn’t bother you. All that you could think of was his hands on you and the warm feeling starting to spread into your limbs from your tummy.
Kirishima nipped at your lip making you whine as you tangled your hands into his mane of hair and pressed yourself closer against him, so close that you coud feel the planes of muscle through his flannel and the bulge in his jeans.
You broke away to catch your breath as he pressed open mouthed kisses to your jaw and down the side of your neck as you rocked your hips against his, gasping into his ear as the buckle of his belt pressed aginst your core just right.
“Fuckin’ hell,” Kirishima groaned as he squeezed your sides and spread his legs more, he was fixing to run his hand under your crop top, but he caught sight of someone marching up towards him.
“Kiri,” you muttered, voice needy as he pressed his hand to your lower back making you whine softly.
“Hold on sweetheart,” he whispered sweetly into your ear, “Katsuki, what’s up dude?”
You froze, Katsuki? Dread filled your veins like ice as you stiffened in Kirishima’s big arms.
“The hell are you doin’?” Bakugou’s deep voice cut through your syrupy haze like a hot knife.
“What I want, mind your own business, yeah?” Kirishima said with a large smirk, which only grew as he felt you stiffen even more, “look ya scared her.”
You gulped and turned your head to look at Bakugou over your shoulder.
Bakugou held your gaze, trying to avoid looking at your swollen lips or the red marks on your neck, or the fact that he could see Kirishima still grinding up into you. He swallowed thickly and narrowed his eyes at you before finally speaking, “better not miss your lesson tomorrow, princess.”
“Lesson?” you asked, raising your eyebrows in shock.
“Your uncle set it up a few hours ago, don’t be late, it's at eight tomorrow morning,” Bakugou said while rolling his eyes as he turned on his heel and headed out towards the front door, reaching his hand out for Cami to grab.

I so agree with your statement about Season 3… I didn’t even finished it, it was too much. And the shippers here didn’t help either lmao. My boy needs no woman and certainly not an ex death watch.
He was doing fine till now, they made him look like a damsel in distress so SHE can save him, she can be a goddamn good girl… Like her past is erased from everyone minds? They have amnesia? And he became a second character in his own show?? Yup, no, call me when everything became normal again
I know it’s not technically canon yet but it reminds me a lot of when a character’s entire purpose is just to support their partner in a ship. Also people can ship what they want of course but in what way has anything between them been explicitly romantic in canon? They’ve just been working together on missions and barely talking about anything besides the matter at hand. I saw more desire for a relationship between Boba and Din than this. If they decide to suddenly say Bo and Din had feelings for each other the whole time in the two episodes we have left I’ll be so mad. Omera was Din’s obvious love interest if they were going to give him one, but no lets put him with the white terrorist lady who insulted his and others entire existence.
Also people forget that Din isn’t stupid. The fandom likes to make himbo jokes sure but Din is incredibly smart, he spent however many years working as a top rated bounty hunter, one of the most dangerous jobs in the galaxy, Din got beaten up all the time but he also had so many wins and badass moments, they balanced each other out so he wasn’t invincible but he wasn’t incompetent either. Most of Din this season is just him needing to be saved or aided by Bo-Katan so far, because apparently SHE is the Mandalorian everybody suddenly needs to use their brains or they’ll combust into flames or something I guess 🙄 and spoiler warning for the next episode under the cut.
So leaks say that Din gets captured by Moff Gideon at the end of the episode and Bo has to rally Mandalorians to go save him. Man how much more impactful would that be if Din was Manda’lor, Bo had the chance now to become it with him gone, but she actively chooses instead to help him after being bitter and aggressive towards him all season, thereby giving her growth that doesn’t actually mean turning her character back 180 out of nowhere. I like the idea of Din getting captured on its own and coming face to face with Gideon again but after he’s done literally nothing all season and has had no personality other than “help Bo”? That’s insulting af, Din just looks more and more helpless. Like again what if he was Manda’lor and trying to prove his worth both to Mandalorians and himself? We could have gotten a really cool scene where he questions his abilities as a father and as a leader, wondering if other types of Mandalorians would even come for him and ending the season with an episode about Din finally coming into his own with the darksaber while other Mandalorians rally behind him to defeat Moff Gideon once and for all.
But no. It’s probably gonna be a chance to display how Bo absolutely deserves another chance at ruling after proving nothing about how she is different from last time while Din is just there as bait and they’ll kiss or some shit afterwards. God this season has turned out so bad, I really am hoping they don’t go that route and make it somehow worse. I don’t blame people for hopping out now.

Galactik Football season 3 rewatch, eps 22 - 24
Episode 22:
Yeah Thran, you SHOULDN'T be there! Why are you with the Pirates in the first place other than you knowing the plot needed you to help out there?
I'll always love how that memory wipe device is literally just the one from Men in Black
Honestly can't believe the Xenons haven't scored yet
Oop! Spoke too soon!
WHYYYYYYYY DID YOU LEAVE SHARKY'S CAMERA INTACT!!!! He was snapping with that thing all the time, I don't believe the Pirates would fuck up that badly. Even if Harris's cat hadn't found it, Hush Sharky could've just woken up, seen the pictures, assumed he'd had his memory wiped (in season 1 Aarch seemed to have the common knowledge that Pirates do that), or he'd had a fun night lol, and then published the photos anyway! He would've spun some made up story from them! WHY IS CAMERA
YESSSSSS MEI!!!!! epic goal
Tumblr media
fsdkjfsdkjdfs look at this
Yeah with Vega controlling the team Paradisia girls they do feel more like androids, even if they're not supposed to be. How much of this is control and how much is their own free will? Spooky
THRAN IS ON FIRE! YOUR DEFENCE IS TERRIFIED! 🎵 Ok I guess it would be their attackers, but he's going on the offence too because he's just that cool in this match
Holy shit 4-1? Man they nerfed the Xenons. They were running circles around the Snow Kids in the first half they should have scored more than one goal then
Aww another respectful handshake between D'jok and Luur
Nork: Artegor, what are your impressions of the match? Artegor: Excuse me, but I think I have to go join my friends!
Awwww Artegor has come so far since season 1
D'jok and Mei holding hands...... not sure how to feel about this........ I will reserve judgement for now
Thran being the one to fall asleep this time I love it
Sidney and Harvey reunion! Peace and love <3
Nothing like a bit of clubbing to celebrate a victory, would be a bit weird with your parents there though LOL
Sinedd's parents live so far out they've never heard of the GF stars? Sounds a bit hard to believe in this universe I mean, I don't really care about irl football but I still know who Messi is. Also Maya STILL hasn't spoken to D'jok LMAO
Why the fuck would Adim and Aarch being in a relationship mean the Snow Kids could get disqualified. Literally the only case I can think of where they could have accused Adim of favouritism is letting them form a team way back in season 1, what else could she have possibly done to help them win? Some guy on the news accuses them of cheating, but WHAT does cheating in Galactik Football even mean????
LIKE. Look I hear all sorts of accusations of corruption and rigging every world cup but usually people actually have something to point at – poor ref decisions, easy matchups, whatever! There was none of that for the Snow Kids, I know it's supposed to be ridiculous that this is going on, but idk it just doesn't feel that believable to me as this huge deal and not like, a bit of drama that will blow over once the next scoop comes out. Sure they might lose some fans but there's no real risk of them being disqualified because for that you need concrete proof of favouritism.
Clamp spitting fax!!! Exactly my thoughts
Callie is throwing SUCH shade at the Aarch Adim scoop hahaha
Mark is having his romeo balcony moment but much more emo. It's so dramatic but whenever this happens in shows I always end up thinking about how they can't have known each other that long to be so in love 😂
RIP Brim Simbra. Didn't even get a funeral eulogy
Side note Dame Simbai's flux society shades are swag
Episode 23:
Whyyyyyyyy does Aarch have to quit because of this?? This is all.... so sudden! We've got like 3 episodes left after this one and we're having Aarch quit? Right before the FINALS? And why would you not at least discuss this with Rocket first before springing the surprise that he's gonna be the coach now in front of everyone???
It's NOT the only solution Aarch this is so dumb 😭😭 It's not like they even went for an arc where he realises it's time to pass on the baton and settle down into a new life of whatever, it had to be with the drama
I do like that it didn't end in Adim quitting her position though
And now they're throwing in like two lines about Aarch being happy about his decision and moving on, but there was no build up or arc about him needing to quit coaching!
Tumblr media
Work it, Magnus. Of course Artie and Bennett can't stop themselves from cracking up hahaha
Clamp getting the recognition he deserves <3 Sorry Aarchtegor fans, he was not included in this goodbye speech. We can't have it all
Ooooo Tia's dad mentions he's the ambassador of the Obia moon, not specifically Akillian. Was Obia mentioned specifically prior to this season I can't remember
Geez Sinedd is the spitting image of his father
Tumblr media
Hey check it out, this is almost a looping gif! This is not sped up, the animation really is this goofy 😂
Sooo this flashback thing Maya communicates to Sinedd's mother through mind-meld confirms D'jok and Sinedd used to be friends, which is something we'd been wondering about for a while. It would make sense why Sinedd is so hung up on their rivalry.
I headcanon that he got jealous of D'jok's life (having a parent, being really good at football etc.), feeling worse about himself, especially with him never getting an adoptive family. Maybe he even was the first to start playing football, but felt like D'jok was surpassing him and this was another thing taken from him. So he starts putting down Micro-Ice so he can feel superior and challenging D'jok, who eventually ditches him. It's an interesting dynamic, would have been cool to see some full flashback scenes about this.
Yay more Elektras water skating!
Awww rip Elektras :( Their friendship and support of Yuki is so cute I love them
Bwuh???! Where on Akillian did Rocket get the idea to recruit Sinedd back??? Like sure the audience knows he has the potential to develop into a nicer person and actually work in a team with the Snow Kids, but Rocket doesn't! Like, in my head I'm imagining they had interesting interactions in season 2 during the whole Netherball thing, but we were never shown enough of that on screen for this to make sense.
Like. With Aarch gone Rocket seems to think they need a change? HOW DOES THIS SOMEHOW CONNECT TO GETTING SINEDD TO COME BACK??? And so close to the final? Changing things around like that last minute is crazy. I just... SINEDD COMING BACK TO THE SNOW KIDS AFTER THREE SEASONS SHOULD BE A BIG DEAL WHY IS IT SO RUSHED 😭😭😭 I mean I know why it's rushed, the showrunners knew they probably wouldn't get renewed so tried to tell as much of the story as possible, that's just how it is unfortunately
Tumblr media
BWAHAHAHA why is Sonny just hiding directly behind Magnus during this call instead of... anywhere away from the camera ahahahaha that's so stupid Sonny there is NO NEED stop being so dramatic
Rocket (to Sinedd): We need you to beat team Paradisa, you can make the difference!
Again, WHAT DIFFERENCE? Why is he so sure they need an extra player all of a sudden, are team Paradisia THAT good? The Snow Kids have been training hard with this lineup and they're two-time champions. Sinedd is a great player sure but... WHY.
On the other hand Rocket is the first guy on the show to be like: hm... maybe we SHOULD have at least one substitute for our team huh?
Rocket: Deep down, you're a Snow Kid too. Rocket: You come from Akillian, and you've mastered the Breath
UHHH, HAS HE? I'm pretty sure he left before he even got to use the Breath, actually
Sinedd is so quick to consider this offer FSDJKDFSKJDFS THIS IS DONE SO BAD I'M SORRY 😭😭 Like the concept is fine, I really like that it's Rocket calling him back (as someone who also needed his team to bring him back once) but it's just... the pacing is so bad and Sinedd's development was so all over the place that it just doesn't seem believable that he would take up this offer right now, especially with D'jok on the team
Episode 24:
Callie I know it's for your “a day with the Snow Kids” report but maybe at least knock first?
Neither Mei nor Tia are morning people lol
Oh of course Mark has a cup of tea for breakfast XD Or maybe it's coffee, idk.
The way Rocket bats the camera away 😂 Isn't it weird to do this report right before the final, and broadcast it live? Aren't training sessions supposed to be more secretive at this time?
Aw Sinedd's sister is cute
Tumblr media
Micro-Ice: Yeah well, Tia is by far our best captain in ages, because D'jok- D'jok: Oh, yeah?
Besties! <3 No I still haven't forgiven how quickly D'jok was accepted back into the team <3 Also yeah D'jok wasn't a great captain <3
Tumblr media
Callie why are you sitting like that. Rocket get her a chair
Oh wait there is a chair
Aww Lun-Zia's little high-five with Luur. Fun training session!
Wow we really sped through Sinedd meeting his real family huh 😭 And just like that, he's back with the Snow Kids because his little sister wants to see him play. Let me guess, Rocket didn't discuss this with the others first?
This is making me want more sports with the flux. Just imagine, galactik volleyball! I have a whole AU in my head and I will draw it one day I swear ToT
If Sinedd isn't a hologram, then why does he spawn into the holo-trainer like that? They've done that animation a couple of times in this season and it doesn't make sense considering how we've seen the holo-trainer work before. It's not them teleporting in, the holo-trainer manifests itself around them and... wait, how DOES the holo-trainer work? My brain hurts just thinking about it
Oooooh Rocket didn't discuss this with anyone and just gets Sinedd to join in the middle of a practice what a surpriiiiiise, there is no way this could go badly whatsoever /s
D'jok accepts that Sinedd is back way too quickly, I get that he messed up too but he immediately switches to “ok you're on the team, but remember you're a substitute, bitch <3” (Mark: Well thanks)
I'm still sad we don't get a scene of Sinedd leaving the Shadows, I mean the guy played with them for yeeeears they must have had SOME sort of connection. He calls them family earlier!
I like this sequence where Sinedd's flux keeps switching between the Breath and the Smog. I imagine that with the Smog being so powerful, and it lending itself to Sinedd's emotions more, it's gonna be hard to give it up.
Bennett is once again trying to find the location of a bomb hahaha
I was about to comment on how cute it is that Aarch can finally spend more time with Norata but JUST as Aarch starts relaxing, Clamp tells him there's a multi-flux bomb on Akillian LOL. Guy can't catch a break, he really didn't sign up for all this shit

Some Thoughts On Pro League Life
Ok so Pro League Life is Very Interesting it’s like being a sportsman and an idol at the same time like you show off your skills and your personality & visual in a performance that is a Duel. The entertainment in a Duel doesn’t just come from the gameplay but also from the duelists. (Don’t know why I ranted about this I just had Thoughts)
So you would have the type of duelist that basically an idol that is Edo. The man does handshake events (which is the epitome of being an idol lmao), greet fans, do magazine shoots… He sells his personality as much as his skills.
Then another type is Ryo, who I think used to care about it too, but nowadays he just does whatever he wants. He would do CMs and magazine shoots but it’s like “Sure, why not?”. And doesn’t care about fanservice. (In real life there are idols like that too like they care about bringing you the best experience through their performances on stage more)
And at fan-meeting events that they are obligated to do as a part of the Pro League (I made this fact up), it would be like this:
Edo: catching camera like a pro (his fans always get pics with him smiling and looking at the camera whenever he is at an event). Twitter fansites being full of pretty pics like an Actual Idol. He loves his fans truly, especially because his fandom is full of kids jdjdkdk
Ryo: doesn’t even care about it, basically you wouldn’t catch him looking at your fancam like Ever but would smile fondly a bit if you cosplay Cyber Dragon (plus point if it looks ridiculous). Fantaken pics are just him looking away, but that one rare pic of him truly smiling stays on Twitter forever. But he loves his fans a bit I guess? At least Post-S4 Ryo with less obsession with winning does, like he would appreciate your gifts and politely thank you for it jdksksk

I watch very little reality TV, but I enjoyed "Siren: Survive The Island" a lot!!
I need to look into whether wargame / game theory reality is like, a whole-ass genre, because I really enjoyed analyzing it lmao
Tumblr media
vagued analysis + thematic spoilers below the cut, trying to keep it minimal but like, I do kinda imply who wins the whole-ass game in the end cuz you can't avoid that
SPOILERS BE HERE
So like, I found it fascinating how strategy was truly the winning factor every time: exactly all of the base battles went exactly how you would expect on paper. I found myself shouting so often "no no, this plan is nothing!!", and then it was very validating to watch them run around and have their plan be nothing LMAO—and to watch the people who have like, truly any sensible strategy consistently win the day.
That said, this show is perfectly on my skill edge, because I found that I was always predicting outcomes one step ahead, but I didn't at all clock that team as potentially a winner early on??
I did notice that two of the teams had a "charisma problem" that would lead everyone to gun for them, but I still kinda figured they'd be the final two? But in hindsight, the winners just simply kept their heads down and morale high, made smart choices every time, and didn't let the competitive-pride vibes get to them; and so of course they were going to get to 1v1, and win once they were there.
They even had an execution advantage in the final fight, but imo it didn't even really matter—like sure, physical execution determined arena battles, but literally never changed the outcome of a base battle imo: simple things like high ground mattered a lot more.
And one other interesting phenomenon that shook out of "strategy is the winning factor" is that the producers were able to consistently rig the game to go exactly how they wanted LOL
Like, it was kinda incredibly transparent how the arena battles and siren timings were very carefully selected to give advantages to the teams they wanted to keep in it til the end? and it's just kinda strange to me that it fully just worked every time, without a hitch. I expected something to go against their plan even once, and it just… didn't.
And I guess that's kinda my big takeaway… it's one thing to think about strategy etc in fiction, or to make predictions about how a company is doing, but it was really interesting to see a real-life scenario so strongly validate my intuition that like… yep, coherent strategy in a competitive space is wildly powerful, and not having it is devastating: if you don't literally have one specific reason for why a very hard thing will work out in your favor, then you should expect it to not. (The final battle was a very very clear example of this imo: one team had a plan that gave them the advantage, and the other team just kinda… let that happen and tried to grit their teeth through it.)
And conversely, a good plan is powerful! and in the right setting it can do a lot to set you apart from what everyone else experiences.
…anyway, I'm excited to explore this genre a bit more, I want to flex my muscles a bit on predicting how a wargame will go long-term, instead of just looking at one step at a time. It's exciting and fun!!
(Anyone have recs for series that scratch that same itch of "let's look at a territory map and think about how that affects strategic decisions"? Doesn't have to be literally a territory map lmao but like, similar vibes of navigating complex rules in smart ways over time.)

final performance thoughts (kisa's route) and I guess just overall thoughts on the game.
the thing is, I did expect the final arc to be a bit (thematically) underwhelming because it's hard to follow up oh rama havenna when both the play and the lead up to it was perfectly executed. and I mean, I was right, but I'm still a little bit disappointed lol. I see what ishida and towada wanted to do with the "jack jeanne" role, and I was really hoping it would land hard during kisa's route. it didn't hurt the game, but it also just. could've been more.
some thoughts on sissia of the central nation:
great music, probably has some of the best costumes for the cast. jj being a visual novel definitely removes some of the showmanship but I understand how sissia would be amazing to see live. it's like if you watch a mix of the greatest showman and les miserables. the border performance is like if a circus performed on the barricade from les mis.
I'm sure ishida and towada was itching to write a greater message with sissia but they're at least aware that they're writing an otome game lol
I think because all the actors have already gone through their character development in previous arcs, the rehearsals seemed a bit too easy? sissia rehearsals have to accommodate seven routes, so I imagine there are individual conflicts in each LI route. but when it comes to kisa's route, neji didn't really give anyone a challenging role. I realize that my favorite element of the story is when actors struggle to connect with their character, and there wasn't much of that in kisa's route. and because kisa's route focuses on sissia's relationship with the kielce troupe instead of individuals, there is a loss of intimate character moments that usually make neji's plays so good
the conflict was more around quartz vs amber. it's nice, but man I kinda wish the winter performance rehearsals was saved for the final performance because having neji give every single quartz member challenging roles to overcome for the finale with the help of kisa acting as the glue that keeps them together? and them winning because of it? feels like a better way to show that "gear" metaphor they love to use
but I also prefer that mitsuki was the one doing that during the winter performance, so idk. I get it
(watsonian) you know, I was gonna say that I can't believe that neji thinks sissia is one of his best plays when oh rama havenna exists, but actually, that's very in character lmao. neji himself didn't understand what made oh rama havenna entertaining. he's a writer whose inspiration can sometimes work on a deeply unconscious level sometimes.
I also just realized what else was lacking in kisa's route. I wish there was more improv!!! every quartz play has an improv scene that's designed to go straight to the actor's heart. sure, sou did improvise his monologue and kisa did tsuki's line at the beginning, but it's not the saaaame. it's not the same as figaro riling up charles riling up mary, or rukiora/mitsuki's "that applies to you too", or neji and kisa reworking mukai's characterization the day before the performance without telling anybody. I wish someone had thrown an improv scene at sissia. or even better, maybe kisa met eyes with chui in the audience and went off-script.
I like the exploration of gender expression in the game, so I was disappointed that they didn't really do more with the jack jeanne role. they SAY it's a revolutionary concept in univeil but like. there isn't anything in the script in kisa's route that really highlights how she's neither/both jack or/and jeanne. again, doesn't really hurt the game and its overarching themes, but it just could've been more. it could've landed harder. maybe it's highlighted more in the other routes though (I have high hopes for mitsuki to at least touch on this), so we'll see.
the closest we get is mitsuki and mare's commentary on it, as well as the audience's, but like. that's outside perspective. the actual play itself doesn't really do anything about it? neither does kisa's voice acting lend itself to being ambiguous about gender, which was supposedly the goal. if anything, it was closer to her voice acting as maiden. I thought her voice acting for chicchi and charles were closer to what the jack jeanne role intended, but that's just me
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but!! for all the finale lacked, chui made up for all of it. which is ironic, but really, there's like so many things going on with the neji/kisa/chui dynamic on a relationship and theme level. love whatever's going on with them. I am petitioning for sui ishida to write a side story where they're all amber students
anyway, kisa is a great protagonist and I'm really glad all her lines are voice acted because I don't actually self-insert that much in these games. going through the other routes will be painful because this is 80% common route, but I am also so glad the common route is long but sprinkled with a lot of flavor text (I finished one route and I've only gone through 21% of the text). very slow burn. I'm also the kind of person who usually would just do 1-2 routes and move on, but because the common route is so long, all of the characters have endeared themselves to me, so now I do want to go through all the routes. amazing.
but I have to make the executive decision to do neji and mitsuki's route last because if I finish them first, I really will probably not do anyone else's routes. to me, neji is the deuteragonist of the game even if he's not intended to be.

Rewatch thoughts episode 3
The bench really carries decades old couple energy ;))
I desire not as much as you do in combination with the expectation of Antoinette burning later… Lestat fooling around probably never felt too threatening while everything was going well.
Edit: Thx to @lynnenne , I misheard: It’s actually I desire blood as much as you do… that voids the above completely, but gives an interesting aspect to his hunger phase indeed. And the control!
The Angel of Starvation. Criminal Biscuit. Drama Queen. (Edit 2: I know the transcript says "Angel of Salvation" here, but that I definitely hear differently, and tbh that one doesn't quite make sense to me, because Lestat is griping at Louis passing over victims he points out. But that just as a note.)
The pride in Louis‘ voice when he says that Antoinette had heard about the Azalea in Atlanta… and Lestat’s eyes following her right after Louis‘ said he didn’t want to kill anymore.
I always forget about the other businesses down Clayborne.
I am kinda sad they didn’t use Lestat had surrounded me in episode 1, just on the tape. Such a potent statement.
That respect for the choice Louis‘ had made was 90% annoyance I bet, tying in to what he says in episode 6, that he can feel Louis judgement.
If only Louis would have joined in that proposed threesome. Damn.
Sam got Lestat’s laughter down uncomfortably well.
The of course is still hilarious/ingenious.
I still stumble over sanctioned infidelity. Because that is not something I would‘ve taken away from that, lol.
It still is so weird Louis didn’t just fire her. I mean he had employed her. Never mind killing her, but I would’ve reacted allergic to her voice?!
And Louis always winning kinda implies he knows the trick to stop the time now… 😈
That no ring on your finger comment hits harder when you remember the emerald ring later… (books)
That kiss is really hot.
Louis‘ wounds are still healing when he’s back. Lestat probably didn’t need to see it, he smelled it. Also Louis coming right out with it….. GODDAMMIT TALK WITH EACH OTHER 😤 😫
Kill the Hans. God that whole scene is so …. brilliant. Every time. The emotions, the execution, the powers, the makeup. Just…
Also, quite a while ago someone mentioned that this is how Lestat and Louis fight prior to Claudia… prior to a real chance of Louis leaving. Quite equal shouting match. It’s really interesting.
The hobby remark and that whole scene. Ouch.
That sign while Lestat was still in there sure is something, Louis. The hubris on display…. have I mentioned how I love how this show plays with words.
The way Lestat drops the newspaper. Lmao.
Also Louis really knows where to hit with words, too. Oof.
I guess we all know that need to do something when we cannot… I can understand him there sooooo well. But still, choosing to bring her to Lestat for him to turn her… is quite the statement/decision, too. Gosh Louis 😅

I know you’re not that active anymore but have you done some readings for hl recently? I randomly got sad cause no one is sure about them actually being together anymore and everything they did in the past seems so pointless now. But I totally get it if you stayed away from all this!
hi! i finally got down to it today because i was curious myself and i have to say sooo many cards keep falling out while shuffling as it was so much to tell me lmao, anyway i asked about hl and their relationship currently etc. and here's what eventually showed up:
Eight of Pentacles reversed - lack of quality, rushed job, bad reputation, lack of motivation, mediocrity, laziness, low skill, dead-end job, little motivation, tedious job, low quality work, not putting effort into love, neglecting relationship. The job part made me think about Harry just focusing on finishing LOT finally and going through the motions to get till the end, lol, and with them both on tour at the same time on different continents, of course their relationship is getting affected somehow, I guess? Maybe feeling like they have too little time for each other, which, duh.
The world reversed - false measure of success, missing piece in career, close to completing financial goal, unfulfilled despite financial comfort, missing something in love life, taking partner for granted, lack of closure, lack of achievement, feeling incomplete, emptiness. Again, it feels to be clouded a lot by things that make me think about Harry and his tour - is he contemplating the last 3 years and how exactly they made him feel? Is he not feeling as accomplished or fulfilled as he would have in the end? Do they still feel like something is lacking in their lives despite the success of the last years? (🤣)
King of Cups reversed - overwhelmed, anxious, cold, repressed, withdrawn, manipulative, selfish, selfishness at work, staying at job despite lack of emotional fulfillment, manipulation, deceit and selfishness in love, being lead on or used, not putting in effort, The reversed king of cups can signify dealing with a boss or a manager who has become a bit of a tyrant. Sometimes, this card can indicate that you are at your position solely for the money, and you may be feeling unfulfilled. Even if you began at this position with excitement and passion, it may be slowly disappearing...... I mean, the conclusion writes itself, doesn't it? I'm side eyeing this card so much, especially in the presence of the other two. Unfulfillment and burn out seem to be a theme for this reading.
Back of the deck: Five of Swords reversed - reconciliation, resolution, compromise, revenge, regret, remorse, cutting losses. The Five of Swords reversal meaning shows you that all you want is for that particular period to be over so that you can forget and forgive. Because you are beginning to understand that winning is not everything, you will be capable of focusing your energy on something a lot more constructive and positive.
Another interpretation of this card in reverse is that the conflict you are experiencing is actually going to become more upsetting as you realize that there can only be losers. These are terms that you need to come to grips with. 💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️
I decided to try to find out more and asked what it's all about, if it’s Harry feeling tired of tour or what his feelings are. Two of Cups (mutually beneficial relationship, working together as a team, strong pair is indicated here, the joy of two becoming one, partnership that is built on the union of forces, a strong connection and a balanced and equal partnership) and Five of Wands (competition between colleagues, competitive work environment, conflict, there is form of conflict in one’s life, competition between suitors, conflict between lovers, playful banter, conflict, competition, arguments, aggression, tension, rivals, clashes of ego) upright fell out, which makes me wonder if he is simply saying longing back to the times of working with Louis as a team and spending a lot of time in each other’s presence? That the way their lives are now is affecting their relationship and he wants it to stop? He also may feel tired and bored of the constant competition and being at the top of his game and would like to chill for a second (hmmm personally I'm not sure about that).
As for Louis however, I got Seven of Pentacles reversed (Doesn't surprise me to see pentacles here lol, no results in work efforts, stagnant career, losses, little financial compensation, Are you putting way too much effort at work? Or are you not putting in enough? The reversed 7 of Pentacles can signal some kind of imbalance when it comes to your career. It seems that regardless of the answer, nothing you do (or don’t do) seems to change anything. Results are minimal.). I guess it makes me think of what he's been saying about slipping back into bad habits, him overthinking everything. I'm certain they also expected a bigger turnout for this tour and we all know how's the ticket sales situation. On the other hand, I also got Three of Wands (momentum, confidence, expansion, growth, foresight, looking ahead, next stage in relationship, romantic momentum, creating lasting foundation, new horizons in career, expanding your career options) so to me he still is set on his goals lol just everything is underlayed with his internal struggle with confidence and overthinking. He should keep his mind open to potential new opportunities that can arise, as they may be much better for him.

Wait i actually wanna hear your thoughts/opinions on the Saw movies!
Anon, this is a risky thing to ask me because all that will happen is you will get a 10k word essay from me as a result. But okay. I am going to put this under "Read more" because I truly mean it when I say this ended up very long.
So first of all, I fucking love the Saw franchise. Like objectively it's not that good, especially the sequels, but I love these movies and the characters (mostly). I'm really excited for Saw X, even though I know it's not going to be good. The 10th movie in a horror franchise is never actually good, but at this point I feel like Saw could give me anything and I'll still watch it.
Despite some of the sequels being not so great, I genuinely think the first movie is a masterpiece. I'm a sucker for low budget movies because I love seeing what people can do with little money and I think Saw does a great job at showing the world, the traps and everything. It's definitely not perfect and you can tell it's got a small budget at times, but it just still works so well. Also let's be honest, Saw would not work if it had a huge budget.
Anyway, the story of the first one is still so intriguing and well made, even when you're someone like me who's seen it several times. And the reverse bear trap scene still hits.
I love Adam and Lawrence as characters. They're so intriguing to watch and Adam truly has the funniest lines ever. "This is the most fun I've had without lubricant." sir, you are in a death trap lmao!
Even the other characters are interesting to watch imo.
Oh, and I can't not mention the early drafts of the Saw script. There are some lines that make me insane every time I think about them. I'm sure you can find some of them on tumblr. My favourite is probably "so many days you have wanted to die. Now your goal is to make it out of here alive. Either way, you win, yes?". In the early drafts Adam was quite suicidal and that line is in the Jigsaw tape to Adam. Honestly there's so much about Adam in the early drafts that makes me lose it a little. There's even some dialogue of Lawrence asking Adam about him being suicidal. It just... aaaaaaaaaaaaaa yknow?
Saw really has such well written characters. Even if the story isn't always the greatest, the characters make up for it a lot.
Especially Amanda. Like her being addicted to heroin and after the rbt, she and John thinks she's good now. He's healed her. But he hasn't. She now needs John's approval. And she still hurts herself and starts killing others. Because John didn't do shit. He turned her into this monster and he doesn't really care. He supposedly cares that she's killing people, but only because he lives with some weird god complex where he thinks he's not killing people.
But genuinely if you really think about it, she's just a tragic character and that's the point. I love her character, even though she'll never get anything good to happen to her.
Also on a less serious note, Amanda Young is a lesbian. No, I'm not projecting. (I am)
Now onto Jigsaw himself. Fucking John Kramer. I would beat him up if he was real. I don't care that he's an old man dying of cancer, I would punch him. Every time he talks about how he doesn't kill people and that killing is distasteful, I feel like fighting. Dude straight up kidnaps people and puts them in death traps that are nearly impossible to escape. But sure. Yeah, they totally had a choice in the matter. Also like what choice did the people in Saw III have? They didn't have a choice, they had to have Jeff choose for them. And the people in Saw VI? Like I love Saw VI and I love that it's about health care in the US, but like those people didn't get to choose shit. He killed them. And yes, he's dead by that point, but it's his design and his trap. John Kramer is stupid and I would fist fight him at any point in time.
Sorry, I guess I should move on to the second movie.
I think the second movie is pretty good. I prefer the first one and kinda wish the 2nd one had some better character stuff, but the traps in the second one are so good? The fucking needle pit makes me cringe every time. Also fun fact, they used over 100k syringes for that trap. People had to remove the needles from each one to ensure that it's safe and I remember seeing this behind the scenes video where even the 100k syringes weren't enough. They had to put padding at the bottom to make it seem like the pit was a lot more full.
I also do like the idea of all the victims being connected because they were framed by Detective Matthews. And the twist is pretty cool too even if "your son is in a safe place" is silly. Did it have to be a pun? It's so funny.
Also Amanda waking up in the trap and immediately checking if there's a trap on her head? Makes me insane actually.
Now onto the third one, I genuinely think I'd like it more if Jeff didn't suck. He's a frustrating character to watch most of the time. However, I do think that The Rack (the trap Timothy was in that slowly twisted his limbs) is the worst trap ever, but like I mean that in a good way. It's probably the only trap I genuinely have to look away from. I can't handle watching it fully.
I think a lot of the other traps in Saw III are pretty cool too, again, I just wish Jeff was less frustrating of a character.
But Amanda and Lynn? First of all, there was something gay as hell going on there. If they both didn't literally die in that movie, I would say they hate-fucked afterwards. Also Amanda is so hot in this movie. Uh, I mean, what? Who said that? I'm not simping for the murderer.
Okay. I definitely prefer the Amanda, Lynn and John side of the plot. I think it's a lot more interesting to watch, especially with Amanda struggling because of the letter and not knowing whether to kill Lynn or not. I also like that we find out more about Amanda and her mental state after everything John has done.
I will forever be upset that Saw III has so many deleted scenes. Especially the one where Adam and Amanda interact. I think it's such a good scene, I wish they kept it in. (If you haven't seen it, the deleted scenes are all on youtube). I think it's so cool to see how Amanda is like hesitant almost for a bit to do anything to Adam because he's being nice to her. And like she's going to his apartment to kidnap him. She has zero good intentions, but she looks to almost second guess the decision as he's leaving.
Fourth movie, let's go! The fourth one is in my opinion very funny. Mainly because of the ridiculous scene transitions. I saw this behind the scenes video where Darren Lynn Bousman (the director) was so excited about the scene transitions, but me and my friends have watched this movie and laughed at the transitions. They're so ridiculous. Especially the one where the lady is goes through the mirror and onto the police office.
Anyway, the main overall trap is kinda not that great in this one imo. And the whole reason that the character is in the trap because he spends too much time trying to catch Jigsaw is ridiculous. However, I do like the fact that a rapist gets put in a Saw trap. 10/10
Oddly enough, I don't remember the overall plot that well of this movie. I don't even think its a bad Saw movie, I think it's pretty good. It's just kind of forgettable overall I guess?
Saw V... Saw V is a movie that I think could've been really good, but ended up kinda crap.
First of all, the concept of the trap is probably one of my favourites. I love the idea that all of them could've survived, if they just worked together and weren't selfish. I think it's a great idea. However, I don't think it was executed that well. Mainly, I think the backstory of the characters should've been clearer. And just the characters in general could've been better. Also sorry, but I thought the reveal that they could've worked together was so obvious. I think with some more improvements in the script, this could've been great though.
The fucking cop plot however? Jesus christ, I hated it. Mark Hoffman walks around like he's got "I'm Jigsaw" taped on his back, yet somehow not a single person is suspicious of him and instead think Strahm is guilty. Like please, Hoffman is not that good at hiding.
Also whoever did the casting for Saw IV and V is my enemy. I genuinely had a hard time telling Strahm and Hoffman apart at first. They both look like generic white guys and I'm supposed to distinguish from these two? It doesn't help that they're fucking dressed a similar way. I kinda wish they would've altered their appearance a little more at the very least.
The end is cool though.
Saw VI is one of my favourites though. It's a bit dumb, but I love it. I love that they show the stupidity that is American healthcare in it. I enjoy the traps a lot. Especially the shotgun carousel. Hello? Whoever thought of that is kind of genius. It's a really cool idea imo. I also think the characters are better written in this too. I will never not think that Jigsaw putting the janitor in a trap for smoking is kinda dumb, but I kinda understand why he's there.
The twist isn't great, but it's a great movie overall.
Fun fact: Saw VII aka Saw: The Final Chapter was originally supposed to be two separate movies. But Saw VI didn't do as well as studios wanted, despite the fact that it was a lot better critically received. So the studio made the filmmakers cut the idea down to one movie. I really wish we could've gotten two though, that would've worked way better. Apparently one was supposed to focus more on Lawrence, which would've been really good.
The Saw VII we did get is not a very good movie. Character-wise it's bad. The traps are okay. But also this movie is weirdly ugly? Like whatever they did with the colour grading didn't work at all. I think it looks hideous. The wrong colours stand out and it doesn't feel as much of a Saw movie anymore.
Saw VII needed more Lawrence. Also the way that the guys wife did nothing wrong and didn't deserve to slowly burn alive. Oh, also, I think the concept of a therapy group for Jigsaw survivors is so unintentionally funny. It's like an absurd comedy, how are there enough people for there to be Jigsaw survivors therapy group lmao
Just realised I haven't even mentioned Jill and Hoffman's whole plot, but tbh idk if there's much to say about it. I think it makes sense for John to want to test Hoffman when he's become too serial killer-y. And it's cool to have the rbt return. Especially in VII where we actually see someone get killed by it. I know Saw VII is the most hated, but imo it's not the worst Saw movie.
Which greatly leads us to Jigsaw. The worst Saw movie! Fuck Jigsaw (2017). Me and my homies all hate Jigsaw (2017).
First of all, Jigsaw looks even less like a Saw movie than VII. Like why did they try to go for this modern look to it? Why was that necessary? I think part of what makes the Saw movies so good is the gross 2000s look. It doesn't work as well without it.
The characters are alright. Although the scene where that one guy is right by the thing that would disable the trap completely and he doesn't fucking do it is kinda frustrating. Like at that point, do it just in case. I don't remember the exact details of the trap, but I'm talking about the bike one. I think he had to press a bike break? And the spinning trap that would kill him would be deactived completely.
But what really makes me hate this movie is the ending. First of all, John taking a bullet, showing it to the other two and going "this is the key to your survival" and then us finding out that he put keys to the chains inside the bullet? Yeah, what the fuck? This is so much worse than "He's in a safe place". I hate that part so much.
Of course, the twist that this was all in the past is even dumber. If this happened before Adam and Lawrence, then why does Billy have glowing eyes? Why does John suddenly have high-tech TV's. Why does the Jigsaw trap look like a fucking corporate office. Why is everything the way that it is?
But the truly worst part is Logan. My sworn enemy. I would gladly punch John, but that feeling is tripled when it comes to Logan. He's like a more annoying Hoffman. And Logan's been here from the start? Fuck off, no he hasn't. And "John didn't think I should die because of an honest mistake." I'm killing Logan. I'm aiming a gun at the writers of this movie. I'm fist fighting everything in sight. How do you watch SEVEN whole movies about the kind of person John is and think he would ever save someone because of a mistake? Logan's annoying ass should be dead. And listen, I know there's a theory out there where someone is saying that maybe John saved Logan because he put too many drugs in his system, which caused Logan not to wake up in time to give him a decent chance, and what John really meant was that he (John) made a mistake. But no, that's still stupid. It's John Kramer! He'd just blame Logan for the fact that the drugs didn't let him wake up in time. John wouldn't save him.
Also how does being spared by a serial killer equal deciding to work for said serial killer? What was the reason? Why did Logan do all that and decide that he wants to help John? It makes no sense! This movie makes no sense. The traps aren't even good enough or entertaining enough to look past all the stupidity. It makes me upset that they fucked up a Saw movie this badly. Saw is already convoluted enough. They genuinely could've just given a generic Saw trap plot and a generic cop plot, and it would've been 10x times better. Anything would've been 10x better than Jigsaw (2017). I truly hate that movie, I'm sorry.
Okay, finally there's Spiral: From the Book of Saw. Now I see quite a bit of dislike for Spiral out there on the internet, but honestly? I actually think it's alright. I'd put Spiral above Jigsaw and Saw VII. Maybe even above V.
This movie also abandons the gross 2000s aesthetic, but I think it works better here because it's a completely different setting and it's not Jigsaw! It's not John or Amanda or Hoffman or Logan. It's a copycat killer and in turn, I think that makes me more okay with the change in style.
Also I think the traps in Spiral are awesome. I especially like that, since this is a copycat killer, the whole "make a choice" thing kinda goes out the window too. It's just a bunch of brutal traps and I don't mind that at all.
The tongue trap is pretty unforgettable, but for some reason the finger one makes me cringe the most. Something about the idea of your fingers being pulled apart just gives me that slight uncomfortable feeling. Also the trap with the wax was pretty interesting too and quite brutal.
The twist in this movie, however, is so predictable imo. Like the second they didn't show the trap William was supposedly in, I knew he was alive and guilty. But I do love a Jigsaw that says ACAB.
I do also think Spiral has a lot of flaws. Like it's overall not a very good movie, but I enjoyed it. My opinion might be slightly influenced by the fact that this was the first Saw movie I saw in cinemas and it was a fun watch, but still. The movie's alright. I wouldn't mind a sequel to Spiral.
And as mentioned previously, I'm really excited for Saw X. Especially since they're bringing back my girl Amanda. I know it won't be as good as the first one, but I at least hope that Saw X will be better than Jigsaw.

Every single thought I have about the Doctor Who 60th specials… (Part 2/2)
Part 1
I feel like I’m losing my mind with all the opinions, questions and theories I have about what we’ve watched over the last three weeks so this is part 2 of a full semi-comprehensive list of pretty much all of it so I can get it out of my head and (mostly) move on
The Giggle
Toymaker Stuff
I didn’t love the mad guy’s speech at the beginning, it felt very unnatural idk
Wilf isn’t affected by what’s going on so that would surely mean that Kate shouldn’t be affected either because they both went into the TARDIS for pretty short amounts of time. Wilf probably even less than Kate as far as I can remember. I’m kinda just gonna assume it’s to do with when episodes were written, filmed and aired like I guess RTD didn’t know that Kate would end up in the TARDIS during PoTD and it was too late to change it when he found out
The tune in everyone's head reminds me of the Master in S3 using the beat to get everyone to vote for him
I don’t know how I feel about the Toymaker showing up because of the salt in WBY like.. Okay I guess. Wait I don't think I really care that much either way actually. It’s fine
NPH did a fine job for the most part but I low-key wish the Toymaker was played by someone unknown because I just couldn't get out of my head that it was NPH lmao but maybe that’s just a me problem
I liked the Spice Girls scene but I didn't love the lip-syncing idk, it didn’t have enough power to it, just felt kinda awkward. Also while I loved it, it is probably my least favourite out of the three scenes like that that we’ve had. Rasputin number one!
I’m not sure if I like the bit where the Doctor basically does what he did with the Master and offers to be with the Toymaker and go travelling and stuff like.. Did he mean that? What would have happened if the Toymaker agreed? I do get what he’s saying though about how the Toymaker can do all of that and chooses to cause problems for people but idk, offering to go out to space with him isn’t my fave like why are you tryna give the Toymaker a redemption arc rn fuck him
The flashback to 1 and the original Toymaker!! Love it
RTD said in the commentary that the ‘I made a jigsaw out of your history’ comment was kinda to relax the rules a bit and make more sense of contradicting things we’ve seen like the half-human thing and the Timeless Child for example and like.. Okay, I guess. I think it’s an unnecessary addition tbh. And the ‘Did you like it?’ comment is like right, are we saying the Doctor has memories of, say, believing they were half human because that’s so silly to me. Just chalk it up to a dumb writing choice that went nowhere and move on. We don't need an in-universe explanation for it.
‘I made every opinion supreme. That's the game of the 21st century. They shout and they type and they cancel. So I fixed it. Now everyone wins.’ - CRINGE sorry. Like ppl say Chibnall has on the nose commentaries (@ the Orphan 55 speech) but some of the stuff in this ep was like yeah okay Russ mate we get it. Also I don’t trust that a 60yo man fully understands what ‘cancelling’ is and it always makes me side eye ppl when they mention cancelling bc I’m like right but ‘cancelling’ is a lot of the time actually just people being held accountable for things but whatever. I get though that the point in this episode was to make people extreme so there were examples of ‘cancelling’ in the ridiculous sense rather than the holding accountable sense so whatever
I cba to check what he specifically said but there was a moment where the Doctor was like ‘if I told you he [could do this thing] would you believe me’ and the person he was talking to was like ‘can he do that’ and the Doctor was like ‘no’ so um why mention it then? Dumb as fuck
Not sure about the Toymaker being racist, feels unnecessary? Obviously recognising that the original character is fucked up is important but I don’t know if having the new Toymaker straight up be racist towards someone and spend the episode doing different accents was really needed? Like was the actual character of the Toymaker racist in that original serial or did he just have aspects to him (like name and outfit) that we now recognise as being fucked up? And he’s not from Earth so idk why he would be racist and also in unleashed they’re like ‘he is now a white character played by a white actor’ which he also was in the 60s so?? Unless what they’re saying is that back then the character was intended to be Chinese but was obviously played by a white person? Idk everything about the original Toymaker so maybe overall it does work that he’s racist, idfk
Hints
The Master - RTD said in the commentary for this episode that he hasn’t got any Master plans right now and if that’s true then I truly do not understand why he would bring the Master up at all let alone hint at their return (in the same way he hinted at it back in S3 mind you like get some new actually decent ideas Russell I’m begging). It’s just such a waste of time to do that. Let whoever decides to bring the Master back in the future figure out how they want to do it, and if it’s RTD that ends up doing it, do the hinting and explanation at a time when it makes sense, not in the midst of an episode two plus seasons from the Master even coming back. Baffling choice. I did love the laughs we heard as someone picked the tooth up though and also I love the idea of the Master going up against the Toymaker.
The One Who Waits - Okay. Idk how anyone can have any theories about this tbh but someone who the Toymaker would rather avoid has gotta be pretty rough
‘My Legions are coming.’ - They say in the commentary that this is true and every few episodes the story is kinda supernatural and the rules are suspended a bit and I’m SO excited for that, sounds really interesting
Name Drops
Obsessed with the companion puppet show. I’ve seen a lot of people basically try and clown on the fact that no Chibnall companions got mentioned during that as if it’s the funniest thing in the world and Chibnall has been skipped for shady reasons or something and I find it so embarrassing. It’s literally like well no, 13 managed to get all her companions home safe so why would the Toymaker mention them in a puppet show about the Doctor’s dead companions? Like ppl seem to think it’s funny bc they’re skipping Chibnall’s companions but imo it’s more funny bc it makes the Toymaker’s little story less impactful like he’s got a run of three companions that leave via traumatic experiences but then he has to skip four whole companions bc they literally got home fine like it ruins the flow and is kinda embarrassing for him if he’s tryna prove that the Doctor get’s everyone killed all the time bc clearly they don’t. But anyways
The lack of Yaz mention in the scene at the end literally full of namedrops is frustrating icl. Like, the whole conversation they’re having is around the Doctor never resting. The Doctor is literally about to go and rest by staying in one place for an extended period of time with a companion, FIXING THEMSELVES SOMEWHERE, and you don’t think now would be a good time to do a quick mention to the companion the Doctor left less than 24 hours ago that they decided they couldn’t be with because they ‘couldn’t fix themselves to anyone’? Are you being fr? Like, a Yaz mention fits in so perfectly with that conversation so the fact they left her out is CRAZY.
I don’t think it would have made sense to mention her along with River and Rose because the vibe of the conversation was about like, hugely devastating moments/experiences and the Doctor leaving Yaz isn’t quite on that level in terms of Yaz is just in Sheffield if the Doctor wanted to see her whereas they lost both Rose and River in devastating ways. But I think when people point that out they do it as a reason to not mention Yaz but to me it’s like, well no, she should still have got a mention, just at a different point in the conversation. Even if it wasn’t in relation to the whole fixing themselves to someone thing, they could very easily have had 15 been like ‘Yaz left less than 24 hours ago and I bet you haven’t even tried processing that’
Idk. I know so many ppl are clowning on the fact Yaz wasn’t mentioned or trying to justify why there was no reason to mention her anyways but it’s like no matter what you think of the previous era and the quality of it, it is a FACT that the Doctor thought of Yaz very highly, literally comparing her to River, so not mentioning her during that scene, especially when the Doctor left her not even 24 hours ago, is beyond ridiculous and I’ll genuinely never stop being baffled by it
I know some people don’t like the Sarah Jane mention and feel like she deserved something bigger but I liked it tbh. The Doctor was like ‘Can you just think for a second about how crazy it is that you’ve been so busy doing shit that you not only haven’t been to see your old companion in YEARS to just catch but also it’s taken you so long to do so that she’s died.’ I get wanting more emotion but I kinda liked that it was more of a call out and also like a ‘woah’ moment because I think Sarah Jane is one of those characters you wouldn’t think of dying so her being gone is in universe now too IS a woah moment
The Mavic Chen mention was kinda unnecessary. Idk I don’t really know anything about the character other than it’s a white guy portraying an Asian character so like… of all the characters to mention idk why that would be the one. I don’t even know if they’re that significant of a character, the racism is literally the only thing I hear people mention which leads me to think there’s not really much else going on there that’s worth them getting a name drop after however many decades but whatever
Bigeneration, Face Explanations
I think bigeneration as a concept is interesting and I actually do like the moment where it gets brought up and they’re like ‘It’s a myth apparently not’ and 15 is like ‘myth, myth, myth,’ like ‘the details don't matter right now, what’s happened has happened, moving on’ but at the same time, while the details didn’t matter in that moment, I actually do want details.
I can’t remember which Doctor it was but one of them says to the Toymaker, ‘you did this, you doubled us’ so I guess we’re saying that the reason the bigeneration happened is because of the Toymaker. That’s fine by me tbh. Like okay, the Toymaker, and people as powerful as the Toymaker, are rarely around to make that happen so I guess it makes sense that bigeneration could be SO rare that it’s thought of as a myth rather than a real thing. But that’s about the only thing about bigeneration that I think is even remotely clear or like, un-annoying enough for me to just be like okay cool whatever
From the commentary - ‘I think down the timeline they all separated and came back to life with their TARDISes, the gift of the Toymaker. What I'm calling the Docterverse. I want to create a future in which Sylvester McCoy could just survive and have an adventure. Because one of the thing about The Star Beast is to get you back we had to jump through so many hoops which is a great story but it's like why can't you just arrive and step out of the tardis. So hopefully it creates a story where that happens.’ - This is just unnecessary and I don’t really see the need for it and the reasons RTD gave aren’t really THAT compelling to me.
First of all, the ‘gift of the Toymaker’ comment is proof of him being why the bigeneration happened. I don’t think the bigen is in any way related to the state the Doctor was in after years of bottling things up like I think some people have speculated. But also there is a moment in the episode where 15 says ‘bigeneration has never happened before’ so that makes me be like well if it hasn’t happened before why would it be a myth? And I guess how do you know it’s never happened before? IDFK
Second, ‘we had to jump through hoops to get DT and CTATE back’... You quite literally did not. 13 regenerated into DT, Donna magically survived with the help of girl power and her plot device daughter. It was actually quite simple.
Third, I get the thing of wanting to be able to tell a story that’s set in a world where Sylvester McCoy didn’t regenerate when he did and instead went on to continue travelling with Ace or met new companions or grew old or whatever else but I just don’t think bigeneration was the solution for that. You can absolutely write those kinds of stories without bigeneration. Like somebody introduce Rusell to the concept of Alternate Universe fanfiction fuck me. All of that stuff does not need to be added to the official canon timeline of the Doctor.  Doctor Who is already a massive franchise with content all over the place but imo the idea that every Doctor bigenerated adds to that on such a ridiculous level. And also I know that there’s already so many Doctors travelling the universe but the fact that now I guess there’s TWO of every Doctor is like.. Why?
I also think all of it happening in the same universe cheapens the story of our main Doctor and each incarnation’s life and ‘death’ on some level. Like, now RTD is basically saying that 13 bigenerated and 14 went on like we saw in the 60th but 13 coulda gone back to Yaz and said ‘Actually I’ll be with you because I can do that now.’ and I just HATE IT. That would completely take away all the emotional impact of their ending because it’s all in the same universe as what took place in the show. That’s not some AU Yasmin Khan that now gets to have a happily ever after with the Doctor, it would be OUR Yaz from this universe and that’s STUPID. For another example, 10’s final words of ‘I don’t wanna go’ well don’t worry, he didn’t go! Like omg write all the AU fanfics you want about 13 running back to Yaz or 10 crying about not wanting to go only to then actually not have to go or whatever else but don’t put that shit into the actual canon Russell?? Not that 13 going back to Yaz is in the canon now (10 not actually ‘going’ is tho according to RTD’s everyone bigenerated theory), but it’s possible we’ll get some EU book that’s about that and I just would much prefer stuff like that to be kept to fanfics or even be official DW content but be specifically alternate universe/what if style stuff.
Idk like at the end of the day I will just be ignoring that RTD is saying every Doctor bigenerated in that moment unless we see some stuff related to it in the main show (though even then I’ll probs be like nah) because it’s genuinely one of the dumbest things a showrunner has ever come up with but even though I’m gonna ignore it, it still winds me up because I’m just so baffled that it’s even real and the reasons for it aren’t even good.
Like ‘now we can bring a Doctor back whenever and not have to worry about where they fit in their timeline or how old they look’??? How STUPID omg I actually can’t cope. There’s basically infinite space in every Doctor’s timeline where you can just be like okay let’s say they came from that point. The need to be like well now we don’t have to figure that out is SO lazy. A lot of stories don’t even get too specific, because half the time it doesn’t really matter much
And the whole them aging thing is like did anyone give a fuck that they looked old in Power of the Doctor? No. Because it doesn’t matter. And if it did matter, just recast them. Like if we ever got a full on multi Doctor episode with a Classic Doctor (like TUaT) I would much prefer to see them be recast than have the character be played by the older actor and have it rationalised by saying ‘Well they bigenerated and they’ve got old’ like how FUCKING DUMB get me out of here. Just recast them and think for two seconds about what point in their timeline they could be coming from.
And if you want to tell stories where they magically survived and met new companions or went on adventures that wouldn’t fit with what we know their general timeline/arc is then create specific alternate universe content, don’t make every Doctor magically survive their regeneration. The Tales of the TARDIS stories on iPlayer are interesting but the idea of it being in our main Doctor’s universe/timelines is just silly. Say it’s an alternate universe where the Doctor didn’t regenerate at the point they did omg, it’s that simple
He also literally says ‘it’s what everyone does in their imagination’ and ‘it's Big Finish’ and um yes Russell, there is a reason that stuff is imagination and alternate universe and not like, canonically a part of the Doctor’s life, because it’s just silly.
Also I’m not fully clear on what this means for 14 like okay so (1) is he going to get old and die, (2) is he his own Doctor now that will regenerate as normal for potentially an infinite amount of times or (3) is he gonna at some point regenerate and magically appear as the 15 that bigenerated out of him however many years previously on the roof?
I want to say it’s (3) mainly because of 15 saying ‘I’m fine because you fix yourself’, and it does make sense that 15 is the way he is because he’s a result of the recovery 14 goes through but it raises more questions because like... How tf does that happen? 14 regenerates one day and turns into a puff of smoke while his consciousness travels across the country to the roof and implants itself into 14’s brain as the Toymaker shoots him and then he pops out as 15? Like? It’s SO ridiculous. This is kinda the only thing that makes me want bigeneration to come up again in future seasons because maybe RTD has a clear explanation in mind that will play out better on screen and make more sense than what we’re working with right now
Tbh I think option (1) would’ve been my favourite if we’re saying every Doctor bigenerated because it makes things a lot simpler and also would mean that whatever the Doctor goes through post bigeneration doesn’t effect the main Doctor so essentially our main Doctor would be existing as if the bigenerations never even happened because unlike if option (3) is what’s going on, they won’t have any memories of what the post-bigenerated Doctor got up before they magically get transported back to become them yknow? It does kinda make 15 being like that (happy, therapized) less interesting though because it would basically mean that he is a true fresh start for the Doctor and he basically fobbed all the trauma off onto 14 when he popped out rather than having memories of overcoming that trauma etc while living with Donna. And that’s kinda cop out-y and doesn’t make sense if we’re saying EVERY other Doctor also bigenerated (which I’m not saying bc fuck that but it’s Russell’s theory so).
Like if 11 bigenerated in Time of the Doctor, 12 would NOT have that personality bc he presumably would have fobbed all the trauma onto 11 and came out fresh as fuck like 15 did (and like obviously the reason that actually didn’t happen is because bigeneration wasn’t invented back then out of universe but you know what I mean, if we’re saying retroactively that it DID happen then it doesn’t make full sense. Unless 14’s bigeneration was a one off and not every bigeneration results in one Doctor being left with the trauma and the other Doctor being fine. Wait, I'd much prefer that actually…
If the explanation we’re going with is every Doctor bigenerated then I prefer the idea that both Doctor’s that come from the bigeneration are exactly same, but maybe bc 14/15 are the main focus and reason the bigenerations happened, that’s why 14 is fucked still and 15 is recovered. So then 14 lives his life, dies of old age. Then 15 continues as the Doctor. And for previous Doctors, 12 would still be the 12 we know because the bigeneration didn’t change the Doctor’s personality.
This is what kills me about Russell saying EVERY Doctor bigenerated btw. I'm so down for 14 bigenerating then living his life resulting in 15 being the way he is but it happenining to EVERY Doctor is where it falls apart. It’s STUPID. Because if we’re saying 15 is the way he is because 14 lived his life and go therapy then surely the same would’ve happened with all previous Doctors? And maybe they wouldn’t necessarily be thereapized but they wouldn’t have the traumas of what they just regenerated from because they would have just lived however many years between then becoming slightly or largely different people. Like if 10 bigenerated and didn’t go, essentially getting what he wanted, would the 11th Doctor then have wanted to run away to a fresh start like he did in S5? Because who knows what sort of things 10 would have got up to between bigenerating as himself and magically getting back there again as 11. Does any of this make sense omg I feel like I’m waffling like crazy
As for option (2), yeah, I hate that idea. Like, 14 (and every previous Doctor that apparently bigenerated (fuck you Russel T)) going on to live that life out but then also continue on regenerating and basically being their own person now that’s branched off from our main Doctor? Horrific. No thanks.
Regardless of how he got that way, I am so in love with 15’s vibes and just how happy he is. I feel like it’s not gonna last long (which I’m fine with because I love a traumatised Doctor) but I’ll love it for as long as it lasts
I love that 15 basically takes over the episode instantly like he says to push, he explains stuff, he has the throw that makes them win. Idk I understand why people were worried about the first main black Doctor being overshadowed by the people’s princess but I think anyone who believes DT overshadowed Ncuti in those final 15 or so minutes is SOOOOO wrong. 14 still had his moments obviously, but 15 was absolutely present and had great stuff too, probably more so
The ‘do you come in a range of colours’ comment from Donna was honestly kinda jarring like I know what she was asking and why she was asking it but the way she asked felt crazy. But also if she has memories of what the Doctor has been through since he left her then surely she knows he ‘comes in a range of colours’ because she would’ve seen 13 meet Fugitive? Unless I’m misremembering and Donna was being fr when she said she couldn’t remember the stuff she saw properly. Idk
There’s vibes to it that I don’t love but overall I think I am happy and okay with 14’s ending like I’ve seen a lot of people say it ruins 10’s ending for various reasons or like, it’s not fair that other Doctors didn’t get this but I think that’s kinda silly. In terms of 10’s ending, him bigenerating (according to Russell, I'm pretending that shit didn't happen) is what ruins his ending, not the fact that 14 now gets to be happy. And in terms of other Doctor’s deserving it, you just sound childish icl. Like yeah okay every Doctor deserves to be happy and healthy and rest up but that just isn’t what happened, grow up. Wish they got that, sure, but don’t act like 14 getting that instead of them makes the story bad because clearly if you want that for your fave Doctor then you mustn't think the story is that bad
I don’t think I looove the explanation that his face came back because he was wearing himself out and wanted to go home or whatever like idk. It feels kinda simple and boring. I do like the idea of the Doctor just being so worn out that he ends up spending a regeneration recovering, that’s VERY real and the Doctor defo needs that. But that being the whole reason the face came back is very cop out-y imo, much like the explanation for Donna surviving the metacrisis. Two big story points that could’ve had really interesting explanations but were kinda nothing in the end. I’m glad 14 got the ending he did but that part of the explanation was a bit boring
14 accepting he’s regenerating only to then.. Not regenerate is kinda haunting like everyone has BEEN saying oh it would be nice if 10 didn’t want to go and 14 finally got closure or whatever and was okay with it and then that literally happened and he didn’t even end up going like.. Okay. I think it makes sense for him to be okay with going bc as much as people love to say it, he’s not ACTUALLY 10 and the Doctor’s attitude to regeneration has changed since he was 10 but idk, I’m just wondering if the bigen kinda ruins that moment of acceptance from him
14 saying he fought all those battles and now he knows what for because he’s living a happy life makes me feel INSANE. Honestly, I think that’s the line that really makes me remember that this isn’t just 10 3.0, this is the Doctor with pre- and post-10 baggage and I really felt his age and felt how deserving the Doctor is of just being happy and living that life.
There’s a moment where 15 says about how they’ve never just stopped and rested and I’ve seen people not like that and bring up things like Darillium or the time 11 spent mourning the Ponds or 12 working at the university and I defo understand where that POV is coming from but I think for me there is a difference between those and 14’s ending because 14’s ending is really just as simple as he is living on Earth pretty much permanently with the odd trip away and that’s just his life now whereas with all the others there was bigger things going on that the Doctor simply staying at a place because they feel like it. Darillium is probably the closest to being like 14 but I cannot imagine 12 and River just spent 24 years doing nothing, I’m sure they travelled during that time. And then 12 at the Uni had watching vault duties and 11 was in deep mourning. 14’s ending is a lot more simple y'know and focused specifically on his recovery and just living his best life.
Misc
The TODAY text that came up when we first saw 14 and Donna was so unnecessary. It’s 100% the kind of thing Chibnall would've got shit for bc ppl have a weird hatred for his location texts but I haven’t really seen anymore mention it even though it’s defo the worst location text the show has seen
I am obsessed with the music when 14 first appears in the ep and when they first meet the Toymaker in the shop, it’s so good. I’m not that happy about Murray Gold being back bc it’s suuuuuch a ‘getting the band back together’ thing like omg just hire some new ppl but I’ve always liked his stuff so whatever I guess
I like when the Doctor calls out about people and how they love to poison and hate each other like yeah, the Doctor loves humans but also he can see how shit we are at the same time, and calling those things out specifically was just really good imo idk
Idk why Mel was in this tbh like I have no attachment to her so I can’t even say it was nice to see her bc I don’t know her. All she did was sing a song, hold 14’s hand and carry a box around. I feel like she could’ve been used better. I’m hoping she gets used better the next time we see her. Also I’ve seen some ppl literally say that she was used better than Ace and Tegan were in POTD and genuinely if you think that you’re an idiot
Love the scene of Donna and the puppets, spooky
I like catch as a final game, I think I saw some ppl say it was too simple/boring
Why did 14 start explaining bits of the TARDIS to 15 like brother that is literally you I think he knows
The ‘you’ve finally caught up with the 21st century’ comment is cringe a fuck. Very an old man just wrote that coded. And also Shirley doesn’t even get to go in lmao
The whole old man, you’re older, I’m younger thing is a funny moment but also doesn’t make sense unless the intention is that 14 goes on to become 15, in which case, yes, 15 is the old man. If 14 never becomes 15 and they’re just living parallel lives from now on then they’re the exact same age
Why is Wilf shooting moles? That does not feel very Wilf at all
Giggle Commentary Misc
Russell said something like there’s proof Ncuti has the real TARDIS because he’s sure people will worry but um.. Why would people worry about it?
DT says in there that he didn’t make a conscious effort to play 14 differently to 10 and I find that baffling for two reasons - first because he FELT different, so the fact he wasn’t trying to be is kinda impressive and second because I’m like surely you know the character has changed over that time? Like I know 14 is essentially 10 but he is 10 with 1000+ years of extra baggage and not taking that into consideration when going into the part is borderline unprofessional? Naive? Embarrassing? Makes me think he wasn’t taking the story/character seriously? Idek. I find it strange. RTD’s fault too, I’m sure. Though the fact 14 feels a bit different is in part to do with the scripts etc
Also in the commentary they were laughing at the idea of DT coming back and playing the Doctor differently and like, I get it, obviously the excitement about him coming back was because people love 10 and the story they told made it make sense he was acting a lot like 10 but to laugh off the idea of him playing it differently is CRAZY, there’s surely interesting stuff that coulda been done there. Like one day an actor coming back to the role as a main incarnation and playing it completely different to how they played it the first time round and having a completely new arc etc would be really cool imo
I love seeing the Doctor be high on regen energy when they first regenerate, it’s one of the best parts of seeing a new Doctor, but I also kinda agree that it’s nice to do something different and seeing 14 and 15 interact with each other was 10/10. I do hope the next regeneration is a back to basics one though after two fuckeries in a row.
