You’re careful to hold your hand in place over both of their eyes. It’s difficult, given the height difference and your stance, but you just barely make it work. They can’t peek.
Luz and King bounce behind you. The former has barely held her excitement in since she caught you wedged in Eda’s storage room making things by candlelight. She’d given you a surprisingly stern talk about how you were damaging your eyesight, before getting overwhelmed with eagerness and demanding you tell her everything.
And you had.
Now, you’re here, guiding Lilith and Eda blindly through the Owl House and into the kitchen. Hooty is firmly locked outside. You didn’t plan all of this for it to be ruined at the last second. Once the surprise was over, though, you’d let him join.
“Are we almost there?” Eda whines.
“Honestly, Edalyn, stop your whining,” Lilith chastises, before asking, “Are we there yet?”
You hold back a laugh, “Almost.”
They both groan, almost identical in their exasperation. You wouldn’t dare say that to them.
Rounding the corner into the kitchen, you let pride warm you from the inside at the spread you’ve laid out on the table; flowers, hand-made cards, boxes of human chocolates—those had not been easy to get. You spared no expense when it came to this. You’ve never had anyone to celebrate with before.
“Alright,” You say, bringing them to a stop, “Three… two… one.”
You let your hands drop away.
Eda gasps. Lilith stares.
“Fresh junk!” Eda grins.
Luz blinks. You do too, tilting your head with a frown. Lilith is still notably silent beside her sister, eyes taking in everything spread over the table.
“That’s not what this is. They’re Valentine's gifts.” You say.
Eda and Lilith look totally and completely lost.
“What’s that?”
Before you can answer, King cuts in helpfully, “Basically, some guy died a really long time ago, and now human’s celebrate with love!”
Horror spreads across Lilith’s face, while Eda barks out a laugh. It quickly evolves into a full-body experience with her bending at the waist and attempting to catch her breath. You feel yourself crack a smile.
“Leave it to you humans to make something gruesome about love! And here I thought I couldn’t learn anything else about you.”
“Once you start thinking you have nothing left to learn, you have everything to learn, Edalyn.”
You roll your eyes, “Yes, yes, humans are weird; I know. But do you… like it?”
“I love it.” Lilith is the first to say, giving you a small, touched smile, “You even got my favorite flowers.”
You preen from the praise.
Eda nods, “You did good. Not sure what the boxes are about, though.”
“Oh, they’re filled with human chocolate.”
Both Eda and Lilith’s eyes go comically wide, lighting up with delight. They fight one another to get toward the table and pick over the boxes of chocolates you grabbed. The scene makes you laugh.
Your heart warms when they stop fighting to each place a kiss on your cheek. You’ll call your first real Valentine’s day a win.

Owl Beast!Eda Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader Headcanons
A/N: After the battle with Lilith and the rescue of Luz, Eda transforms into Owl Beast, but instead of falling into the clutches of Emperor Belos, she manages to escape.
•Who knew you'd be so unlucky with the weather today and get caught in the boiling rain?
•Gathering herbs for potions is definitely worth postponing until the next time, unless you want to be boiled alive in this forest.
•After running a decent distance, alternately succeeding in hiding from the rain in the canopy of trees, you stumble upon a small cave.
•As soon as you entered, the rain turned into a real boiling downpour.
•You are really lucky that you found a normal shelter.
•Over the next couple of hours, you go through the herbs, arranging them into small bundles for easier transport.
•The pleasant sound of rain, combined with the subtle scent of medicinal herbs, is soothing.
•But here giant owl-like creature, that suddenly ran into cave, not soothing. Absolutely.
•The creature Immediately throws himself at you, growling loudly in your face, not giving you a chance to worthy defend yourself.
•You instinctively cover face with one hand by drawing a circle in the air at random.
•A fireball flies past, but the creature suddenly freezes, hearing you cry out.
•A huge owl moves away a little bit, and gawking at you.
•You don't even seem to be breathing, for fear of angering the creature in front of you.
•And then comes the realization.
•In front of you Eda the Owl Lady.
•Honestly, you imagined she differently, but never mind.
•Never mind, because, hey, she's still staring at you and probably thinking about eating you.
•And the rain goes on and on.
•In the end you managed to get yourself some security by feeding her everything in your bag.
•She fell asleep with her huge side against you.
•You could see through the dark teal fur several deep wounds.
•After another couple of hours the rain finally stopped.
•You rose quietly to your feet and hurried out of the cave.
•But after a couple of days, you were standing at the entrance to the cave again, with a bag full of all kinds of food and potions.
•You are either a complete fool or a witch who prefers adventure to a quiet life.
•Eda growls, flaps her two dark grey wings, trying to appear larger in size seeing you.
•"I only want to help you."
•You say, throwing a big piece of meat in her direction.
•She considers this strong evidence of your intentions, so she allows you to come closer.
•To come closer, but don't touch.
•She hisses as soon as you touch her.
•And now Eda won't let you into the cave because it's her home now.
•Okay, this is going to be harder than you thought.
•From that day on, you try to visit Eda as often as possible, trying to earn her trust.
•In a couple of months she will let you into her cave, where she has already made her nest.
•And soon she finally lets you touch her so you can heal her wounds.
•You accidentally found out that if you scratch Eda behind the ear, she starts purring loudly.
•Now every chance she gets, she puts her head up for you to scratch.
•When Eda doesn't want to let you go, she takes you to her nest and starts hatching you like an egg.
•This is literally the strangest thing in your life.
•She loves to hear your voice and understands speech surprisingly well.
•Sometimes you think she remembers something when she hears or sees something familiar to her before.
•Shiny things✨
•She once tracked down where you lived and flew to your window.
•It was... It was hard for you.
•Eda is very loud.
•You're lucky to live near the forest and not in the city.
•You have tried countless potions to restore her to her former appearance, but to no avail.
•The situation is aggravated by the fact that every day the Emperor's coven is getting closer to your refuge.
•And then there's some girl in a purple cloak who is restlessly looking for Eda.
•You feel desperate.
•«Do you remember where your home is?»
•Eda tilts her head slightly with her long pointed ears.
•"Eda, please try to remember, come on!"
•When she averts her big black eyes, you gently embrace her muzzle.
•"Your family must be there."
•Suddenly she was agitated.
•So much so that you yourself didn't realize how you ended up on her back while she was flying somewhere towards Hexside School.
•As soon as Eda landed next to some Gothic house, a small demon started running towards you, the same girl in a purple cloak, and... talking owl head?
•You were about to sneak away, leaving the Owl Lady alone with her family, but Eda quickly brought you back to her back.
•"I'm redundant here, Eda. Let me go home!"
•Clawthorne only growls merrily, and rushes together with you toward his home.
•It seems that this is your new home now.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Reader: Happy Anniversary, Indeed
Summary: ssj6mami requested "Can you make a Lilith x Buff Bimbo Reader story about there anniversary as a couple"
AO3
A/N: It is a wild ride getting back into writing Lilith, but I hope everyone likes it!
Tag List: @multifandomfix @ghostsunderstoodmysoul @white--lillies
Warning(s): None
Tumblr media
“Darling?”
Lilith’s voice called through the house. The dark, empty house. All of the shades were drawn and there was no sign of life. It made the coven leader frown, before switching on a light near the front door.
She set her staff and bag near the door, unpacking a few items from the bag; a water bottle, her lunch container, and a notebook. Taped to the top of the lunch container was a ripped piece of paper, on which you’d written a note and drawn a tiny Lilith. She carefully peeled it away and set it aside to save.
As she started to dig in the cabinets for a snack, a loud thud came from the back of the house. Lilith froze. Snack search forgotten, the witch snagged her staff and prowled towards the source of the noise. She stopped in confusion when another noise came from your shared bedroom of all places.
Taking a deep breath, Lilith aimed her staff and blasted the door off of the hinges. A stunned shriek came from the room. A shriek she knew, quite well.
“Darling?! What are you-” Lilith stopped short, staring at you with wide eyes and a gaping mouth.
“Don’t laugh.” You said, your cheeks tinted red.
“You- I-” She tried to speak, but was forced to stop. She clapped a hand over her mouth to stop her laughter from escaping.
“Lilith!”
“I’m sorry, darling, I don’t mean to laugh. It’s just, how did you get yourself into this situation?”
Stepping over the destroyed door and into the room, she examined the scene. There were candles covering various surfaces and casting a soft glow over the room, a wrapped box sitting on the edge of the bed. And then there you were, trapped in a litany of vines near the window.
Despite the way you were trapped, it was a beautiful scene. No one had been so much effort in for Lilith before. The box on the edge of the bed had her attention, but she forced herself to acknowledge the state you were in.
“I know creeping lattice is your favorite, so I picked some up. They grabbed me before I could finish decorating.” You admitted with a pout.
“Well, did you feed them?”
“Feed them? They don’t have a mouth!”
“That’s why you buy the special fertilizer.”
“Lilith, my love, I’m an expert on animals - not plants.” You said with an over dramatic eye roll.
She didn’t hide her laugh this time, turning and leaving the room. The action left you shocked. You attempted to swing, in hopes that the vines wouldn’t sustain the motion and let you go. They tightened their hold on you instead.
“Lilith!” You whined, “Come back!”
“Hush, I’m coming.”
Walking back in the room, she was lugging a bag with her. The bright lettering told you that it was fertilizer. You waited as she poured some in the pot of the vines, patting it down over the topsoil.
It took a few moments and then the vines released you. You dropped to the ground suddenly, letting out a groan as you rolled onto your back. Lilith dropped the bag of fertiziler, helping you stand.
“Thank you,” You smiled, “Happy Anniversary, Lily.”
“Happy Anniversary, my darling.” Lilith grinned.
The witch leant up for a kiss, which you granted happily. Her lips were insistent and you met them with the same energy. Then you suddenly wrapped your arms around her waist, spinning her. Lilith squealed as you spun.
Being careful to avoid the candles around the room, you sat her on the edge of the bed. You sat at her side and pulled her into you. Pressing a kiss to her forehead, you looked at the way she grinned.
“Darling?” She whispered.
“Yes?”
“What did you do with Caspian?”
“You know those new watcher services? I hired one of those.”
“How… Caspian isn’t a normal pet…” Lilith said, a crease forming between her eyebrows.
“I included instructions.” You shrugged.
Lilith nodded, trying to let go of her worry. The clock on the wall reminded her of how late it was though. She looked back up at you.
“When were you supposed to pick him up?” She asked.
A look of complete and utter horror crossed your face. Lilith leaned away, resisting the urge to laugh again. You bolted from the room in search of your staff. She followed behind, grabbing said item from where it was leaning next to the door.
You took it gratefully, using one arm to pull her into a strong hug, kissing her soundly on the lips. If you didn’t have to go somewhere, her lips would have encouraged you to stay. You ran out of the door and took off with a wave.
“Fly safe!” She called after you.
“I will! I love you!” You yelled back.
“And I love you!”
She walked back into the house, knowing you’d return soon. She couldn’t help but shake her head with a laugh. Happy anniversary, indeed.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Human Reader: Portals to Mortals
Summary: white--lillies requested “Ok so the story would be about Lilith and Reader. Lilith would find a way to create a portal to the human world (because redemption arc and everything, and it’s kinda her way to apologize to Luz?). Anyway she would create this portal and her and the gang would appear in the house of a human woman, and the story would be about the evolution of the relationship between Lilith and Reader. So like, the first few times they appear together, but then Lilith goes on her own. Sorry this got a bit long, had to cut it in two parts. Whatever they do in the human world is up to you. Bonus point if when they appear, they come out of a closet (no gay pun intended) and Reader is like: Are you from Narnia? and everybody is confused except for Luz. Oh, and Reader is a bit freaked out at first, cause like who wouldn’t be if strangers came out of their closet? Anyway, I hope this is ok? Tell me if it's not and I'd totally understand :D”
A/N: I need to rewatch Narnia or something. That used to be a serious comfort movie of mine.
Warning(s): None
Tumblr media
“Okay, am I recording?” Your whispered voice came through the video, though your finger was blocking the camera. You finally moved it in order to see your face, “Oh good. Um, I think someone is hiding in my closet. I just walked in but then I heard a bang and voi- Ah!”
The camera shook, distorting the view, before it focused on the closet door that was slowly opening. In through it stepped two women, a girl, and an animal. Your hand shook and so did the camera.
“What the hell… has Narnia been real this whole time?” You blurted.
The two women’s faces scrunched up in confusion, while the girl couldn’t help but giggle into her hand.
“Not exactly. I’m Luz, this is Eda, Lilith, and King - they’re from the Boiling Isles.”
“Is the Boiling Isles code for Narnia?”
“If Narnia was weirder, yes.” Luz agreed.
“Are we supposed to understand what they’re talking about?” Lilith asked Eda, attempting to be quiet, but failing. Eda just shrugged.
“Narnia is an old story here, where there was a portal in an old wardrobe.”
Luz tried to explain to the women, but the two just looked uninterested. Especially Lilith. You remembered that you let yourself take in the woman, admiring her beauty. She seemed to feel your gaze. It had made your cheeks burn as you found that you’d been caught.
A finger tapped on the screen, stopping the video. You looked up at Lilith, a question in your eyes. She just gave you a small smile.
“That was the moment you enchanted me.” Lilith admitted softly, linking her fingers through yours.
“Really? So quickly?” You couldn’t help but ask, leaning against her.
“Really. You have this way about you, despite the way you were terrified of us.”
You couldn’t help but laugh. When they had first arrived, though they intrigued you, you had done your best to avoid them. With the exception of Luz. She’d explained that she was a human, like you. It’d put you at ease.
Over time though, things had changed. Each time you became more comfortable with Lilith. You held eye contact longer, found excuses to continue talking, brushed her hand with yours - any excuse you could find to be near her.
“So Luz, what is the deal with this portal you three come through? Why does it end up in my house?” You asked one day, as they stepped out of the closet in typical fashion.
“Um, I have no idea! Lilith?”
The woman’s head tilted upwards from the book she was inspecting. You hadn’t noticed until then that she’d picked up a copy of ‘Narnia.’
“The ‘where’ was meant to be somewhere near Luz’s home. It’s particular magic. I had to work with what I had.” Lilith explained, “So it seems you’re stuck with us, Miss Y/N.”
“Oh ew, just Y/N please.” You corrected her.
“Alright. Y/N.”
The way Lilith said your name caused you to look at her for some time. Like she was trying to figure it out, but admiring it. Cradling the name.
Your emotions were quickly passed over as Luz and Eda started to tell you about the intricate way magic worked. The information left you entranced.
——
One afternoon, it seemed like no time had passed before they had returned. You had only just settled into watching a movie. As the opening credits began, the telltale knocking of the front door had interrupted.
“Well, that was fast!” You said.
“My mamí had an extended shift and I forgot.” Luz shrugged, before catching sight of the TV, “What are you watching?”
“The Wizard of Oz.”
“I love the Wizard of Oz!”
Luz was practically vibrating with excitement as she plopped down on the couch, intent on watching it with you. You didn’t mind. It’d been a while since you’d spent time with anyone.
Eda and Lilith were standing awkwardly next to the couch, looking between you and the TV. It would have been hilarious if it wasn’t so tense.
“Will you two join us?” You asked finally.
They let out a sigh of relief, before sitting down on the couch with you. Lilith was to your left, while Eda was on Luz’s other side. Then you let the movie play.
Though the peace didn’t last long.
When Glinda the Good Witch appeared, Lilith let out a scoff, before launching into the ‘outrageous stereotypes’ in the human world. You did your best to follow along and look interested. Unfortunately, she continued to go on and on. No end in sight. Until you had enough and pressed a finger to her lips, shushing her.
“As fascinating as your passion here is, some of us would like to watch the movie.” You said.
Lilith tried to focus on your words, but her eyes kept drifting to your hand. It made you pull away awkwardly.
The silence lasted the rest of the evening.
——
One day, a single set of knocks came from within the closet, instead of the normal three.
You opened the door to see Lilith standing there, hands clasped in front of her. She gave you a hesitant smile.
“Lilith, what are you doing here?” You asked curiously, leaning against the door frame.
“Well, I came to help you… tidy up. I fear that we may have left this place in a state of disarray after the movie.” Lilith said. She was looking around the room, in an attempt to latch onto anything she could reason with.
“Oh. You didn’t do too much damage.”
You negated her statement, but let her enter the room anyway. It felt rude to turn her away. Not that you wanted to.
“Nonsense. Look at these… these pillows! Horribly flat and disheveled. Your visitors would be appalled.”
Lilith began to aggressively fluff said pillows. It was easy to see that she was searching for a reason to stay. So after she fixed them, you decided to put on another movie.
The two of you settled in wordlessly. Though about an hour in, you felt yourself drifting off in the middle. It wasn’t until you felt someone playing with your hair that you understood what happened. You slipped back to sleep, happy to find your pillows perfectly fluffed the next morning.
——
“Now that I think about it, you were not subtle at all, honey.” You said, watching a blush spread across Lilith’s cheeks.
“It worked anyway.” She justified.
“You’re right, your charm outweighs the painful flirting.”
Lilith rolled her eyes at your teasing, before placing a kiss on your lips. You leant in, teasing forgotten. Nothing could make you trade away the relationship you had with her. Not even Narnia could tear you away.

“Caspian, come back here! Caspian!”
Lilith blinked in shock, taking in the chaotic scene in front of her. She’d been walking into the kitchen for her morning coffee when you’d run past the window, chasing after your latest creature; a two-headed snow blazer.
You had a habit of bringing home creatures that you ran across in the wild. Lilith was wary of most of them, but you were talented with them. The only rule was that none of them came into the house.
“Caspian, don’t bite the house!”
There was a whine, from what Lilith assumed was the beast. She was concerned about her house though. Peeking out the back door, she took in the sight of you wrangling the snow blazer. Her brain turned to mush when she saw you.
Your arms were flexed, muscles rippling deliciously. Lilith couldn’t help but lick her lips as she enjoyed the view. She tried to lean against the door frame, but missed, stumbling clumsily. It made you and the creature both look up.
“Morning, sweetheart!” You said, smiling brightly as you waved, one arm still wrapped securely around Caspian.
“Good morning, darling.”
Lilith’s voice was breathless - dreamy - as her eyes roamed your body. What she failed to realize was that you were doing the same to her. Her hair was tousled from sleep, in a way that made her simply irresistible to you.
So caught up in your perusal of your girlfriend, you nearly forgot that Caspian was tucked under your arm. Until he decided to bite you, that was. As it happened you couldn’t help the curses that left your mouth, yanking yourself away.
“Caspian, we don’t bite.” You said sternly.
The gash on your arm wasn’t looking too great, so you tied Caspian to a sturdy-looking tree nearby, and went to patch it up.
Lilith was pottering around in the kitchen as you walked in, turning to smile at you. Her smile quickly faded into concern when she saw the gash. She hadn’t realized that it’d been a bite to draw your attention away from her.
“Darling, are you alright?” She couldn’t help but fuss, getting a clean towel to dab at the mark.
“Nothing a few patches won’t fix.” You said casually.
“Patches? These marks are deep, you can’t just patch them.”
Worry was creeping into her voice as she continued to stare at your arm. Everytime you brought a new creature around, you ended up with some type of scratch or injury. Lilith freaked every time. Luckily, that meant you were well versed in ways to calm her down.
“Hey,” You said softly, placing a finger under her chin. She looked up into your eyes obediently, “I’m fine. Snow blazer bites are deep, but they’re not fatal.”
Before she could argue, you pulled her into a deep kiss. You felt her melt into it, a happy sigh escaping her lips. You wrapped your arms around her small frame easily. By the time the two of you would pull apart, she would have calmed down. You told yourself that you did this just for that reason. But you definitely enjoyed the benefit of kisses.
As you held her against you, you failed to notice the blur passing by the window. The Caspian-shaped blur. You may have found a sturdy tree, but you’d used the weakest rope imaginable.
...That was a problem for later.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Reader: Panic
Summary: sadanddefinitelybi requested “Could I request Lilith x a reader who has severe panic attacks? Like they’re both kind of friends in the emperor’s coven but Lilith finds the reader having a panic attack and comforts them then their relationship gets more serious the more they interact? And as they get closed and decide to sleep in the same bed the reader has a nightmare and they just kind of comfort and cuddle each other?”
A/N: I hope you like this, love!!
Warning(s): Panic attacks
Tumblr media
“Miss Y/N?”
You felt yourself tense at the sound of someone calling your name. Turning, you put on a carefree smile, masking the slowly building panic inside of you.
An Emperor’s guard stood in the doorway of your office. You’d escaped to your office between meetings, hoping to calm yourself down - thinking that maybe if you disappeared for long enough they would forget you needed to attend. No such luck apparently.
“Yes?” You asked, trying to sound casual.
“Your presence is awaited in the gallery, ma’am.” The guard said, hands folded in front of him.
“Of course. I’ll be there in just a moment.”
The guard gave you a respectful nod before leaving the room. A shaky breath escaped your lips.
Being a high-ranking official Emperor’s Coven was probably one of the worst jobs for someone with such anxiety, but it had been your dream growing up. So when you were offered a place, you took it immediately. Anxiety be damned.
After being with the Coven for so long, you’d developed certain strategies to keep yourself calm. Today was different though. For some reason, none of your coping mechanisms were working; leaving you sweaty-palmed and shaky.
Following after the guard, you arrived in the gallery where the meeting was being held. You held back a smile as you noticed where your seat was. It was directly next to Lilith.
You sat down next to the woman, trying to ignore the heat spreading across your cheeks, or the impulse to watch her out of the corner of your eye. Something had changed for you, but you couldn’t put your finger on what you were feeling.
Kikimora’s voice filled the room and you forced yourself to listen, nodding and adding your own thoughts at the appropriate times. The anxious feeling faded away.
Until you zoned out for a little too long and came back to consciousness to find everyone looking at you curiously.
“They asked your opinion on funding for Hexside.” Lilith mumbled to you slyly.
“Given that their funding has been extremely low in the past and they’re in desperate need of reparation, I’m in favor of giving them the funding they requested.” You forced out, hoping you sounded confident.
It must have been good enough. After your statement, it was put to an official vote. It didn’t do much to make you feel better, though, as the horrible feelings from earlier resurfaced with a vengeance. You couldn’t help but clench your hands at your sides, focusing on the feeling of your nails digging into the skin of your palms.
Halfway through calming yourself down, a hand rested on your arm. It forced you to open your eyes and meet Lilith’s worried ones. She discreetly made sure that nobody was paying the two of you any mind, before giving you a questioning look. Her eyes flickered from your face to your still-clenched hands.
‘I’m fine’ you mouthed inconspicuously.
Lilith didn’t look like she believed you, but didn’t question it. Opting to watch you closely instead. And that was how you found yourself under the caring gaze of Lilith Clawthorne for the first time.
----
As time went on and you became more comfortable with Lilith, you found yourself wishing that every interaction was as soft and picturesque as the first. Unfortunately, life had other plans for you.
Lilith was no stranger to your panic attacks now, but you still hid them. You worried that they would scare her off. Despite her telling you time and time again that she had no intentions of walking away from you - a statement that made your heart flutter in a way you’d become intimate with.
From what you could feel, your body was gearing up for an intense panic attack. One that no amount of coping mechanisms or distractions could keep from happening. So you did the best you could, attempting to find a secluded area to deal with it.
So as soon as you could get away, you rushed into the gardens.
In a secluded little corner, hidden by the expertly sculpted plants, you let the feelings consume you. Breathing became difficult - rapid - though there was more than enough air to fill your lungs. The rise and fall of your chest becoming erratic as reason left you. No one explanation could define why you were in this situation, you just were. It had become a little too much and now your body was forcing the anxiety out. Though you would have chosen any other way for it to happen.
About half-way through, as the panic was reaching its worst, a pair of arms wrapped around you. You jumped slightly. Your breath hitched uncomfortably as you looked next to you, seeing Lilith looking at you in that soft way you never tired of.
She didn’t say anything. There was no reason to. She brushed pieces of hair from your face, keeping a gentle but firm hold on you for as long as you needed. And this time you let yourself accept it.
----
Laughter. Cold, cruel, and loud.
You could see faces, watch their mouths move as they humiliated you, but you couldn’t put names to the faces. In an attempt to get away, you covered your ears and closed your eyes. But it just became louder. Louder. Louder.
Violently, you threw yourself into a sitting position, feeling your heart pound rapidly in your chest. It felt like it was slamming against it, trying to escape. Various parts of your body pounded in unison. Like every part of your body was trying to escape what you’d just endured.
It got worse as you felt that uncomfortable feeling creep up your shoulders. Almost like a chill, but oppressive, remaining there instead of spreading out and dissipating.
“L-Lilith.” You croaked, reaching out to grab at the woman.
You heard a shuffle and a groan as Lilith turned over. Then the bed shifted as she forced herself into a sitting position, pulling you into her. You let yourself fall, clutching her like she was the only thing keeping you grounded.
“You’re okay,” She whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, “I’ve got you. You’re okay, darling.”
It would be okay. Eventually. Until then, all you could do was melt into the arms of the witch you loved. Listening to her words and focusing on the love in your chest, slowly overtaking the panic.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Reader: Scrapes & Dates
Summary: Anon requested “Hii I noticed requests are open, if it’s okay I’d like to request a fic, my idea if that reader is friends with Eda and low-key crushing on Lilith (her and Eda are semi-cool) bu thinks Lilith doesn’t like her because she’s kinda cold and closed off (she likes reader too). If it’s possible ofc, thanks anyway!”
A/N: Aaaaand I’m back! I hope you like it, lovely.
Warning(s): None :)
Tumblr media
Walking up to the Owl House, you couldn’t help but jump when Hooty’s eyes popped open suddenly. You knew he was there, but hoped he wouldn’t notice you.
“Hiya, Y/N!” The house demon screeched.
“Hi, Hooty. How’s it going?”
“It’s going great! I ate three bugs this morning!” He said proudly.
“That’s great - is Eda home?” You asked, trying not to be too blunt, but not wanting to hear about bugs for the rest of the afternoon.
“She sure is! Hoot!”
To your relief, the door swung open, allowing you entry. The last time you’d been stuck talking to Hooty, you had to listen to a retelling of his darkest moments. Some of them still made you shiver.
You expected to find Eda sitting on her couch sipping some apple blood, but instead it was Lilith. She was fully dressed for the day despite it only being the early afternoon. Not only did her surprise appearance make you nervous, it made you feel grossly underdressed.
“Oh, uh, hi Lilith.” You greeted her, giving an awkward little wave.
“Good morning, Y/N.” Lilith replied.
Lilith didn’t even bother to look up from what she was reading on her scroll. Her voice held little emotion, or interest. It dampened your demeanor a little bit. You never knew what you’d done to make the woman not like you. Of course you’d catch feelings for the one witch who wasn’t interested.
“Is Eda here?”
“In the kitchen.” Lilith said bluntly.
“Oh, thanks.” You tried to smile, though it looked much more like a grimace.
You shuffled through the room awkwardly. Though you were trying not to look awkward - which made it even worse. Being in the presence of the well put-together witch made you feel self-conscious about the way you held yourself. You may believe that she didn’t like you, but it didn’t stop you from trying to be your best when around her.
“Morning, Eda.”
“Hey, Y/N!” Eda said, surprisingly cheerful until she saw your expression, “You good?”
“Yeah, I’ve never been better! Just a little tired is all.” You lied.
You knew that Eda wouldn’t care if you had feelings towards Lilith. Hell, she’d probably help you out. But you felt embarrassed about having feelings for someone who clearly wasn’t interested.
“Okay then. Ready to go?” Eda asked, throwing on her usual disguise.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
That seemed to be good enough for her. Eda tipped back the rest of her apple blood, before slipping on her shoes. Then the two of you were off to the market. Wanted by the Emperor’s Coven or not, she still needed money. Especially since Luz was still attending Hexside.
Since she could no longer do magic, she’d enlisted more of your help to guard the stand. You needed an excuse to get out of the house. It all worked out perfectly.
“Alright, Lily, we’re off to the market!” Eda announced.
That got a reaction from the stoic witch.
“The market? Edalyn, that’s a horrible idea,” Lilith protested, “You know how dangerous it is! It will be even worse if Y/N is seen with us.”
You were shocked Lilith had included you. Typically, she’d go on about scolding her sister as if you weren’t even there. The change was nice.
“Y/N is more than capable of handling herself and so am I, Lily.” Eda said, rolling her eyes as she reached the front door.
She turned the knob and gave you a look that said ‘well, are you coming?’ and prompted you to get moving. Lilith looked furious that nobody was backing her up, but didn’t say anything further. Just watched with a frown as the two of you left.
You felt guilty not listening to Lilith or backing her up. It was dangerous to go back to the market, you both knew that, but there wasn’t another choice. Money had to be made somehow. This was the best bet.
---
And despite being the best bet, it was also the worst idea either of you had.
Things had been going fine for a while. Too fine. There had been a steady stream of customers for quite a while. Until the Emperor’s guard walked by.
Eda’s disguise was horrible at covering who she was. It’d been all too easy for a Coven guard to look over, spot her, and turn your whole day upside-down. That was how you found yourself crouched behind an overturned table, throwing spells back and forth with a multitude of guards while Eda scribbled some runes on paper.
“We need to get out of here before they call in more guards!” You yelled to Eda above the noise of spells and destruction.
As if on cue, a wave of guards surrounded you from behind. Locking you in completely.
“Damn, Y/N, you have the worst timing!” Eda said, slamming her hand down on two runes and throwing them at the new guards.
You were going to respond, but decided it against it. You needed to focus all of your energy on dealing with these guards. They were slowly closing in on all sides. There wasn’t any time for distractions.
Unfortunately though, it seemed your magical prowess was no match for their numbers. The two of you were about two spells away from being captured and taken to the emperor.
Which made Lilith’s timing perfect.
The witch had appeared behind the larger group of guards, using a combination of rune magic and her remaining magic to knock them down. It drew the attention away from you and Eda for just long enough to attack the rest. The three of you were effective in taking them all down, but you guessed that you had about five minutes before more were going to show.
“Are you alright?” Lilith asked you uncharacteristically. She walked right up to you, inspecting you for any wounds or marks.
“I-I’m fine, Lilith,” You stuttered out, shocked at the treatment, before catching sight of a wound on her arm, “but you’re not.”
Without hesitating you ripped a piece of cloth off of your clothing and wrapped it snugly, but gently, around the wound on her arm. You tied it tight enough that the bleeding would stop, but carefully enough that it wouldn’t hurt her.
When you looked back up at Lilith, her gaze was soft. Warm. It shocked you so much that a bright red blush appeared on your face.
“God, will you two just kiss or something already?” Eda groaned from her place next to you.
You both jumped into action helping the witch up and packing the things around you. Coven guards were yelling from a couple blocks away when you left. The three of you let out a collective sigh of relief.
“Y/N?” Lilith asked.
“Hm?”
“Would you go to dinner with me?”
The question shocked you. Almost enough to stop you in your tracks. But you couldn’t help the beaming smile that wormed its way onto your face.
“I would love to.” You said.
And with one little kiss to her cheek, you sealed the deal to your future.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader: Intentions
Summary: Anon requested “I had a bit of an angsty thought regarding the 5 + 1: Lilith x Fem Reader story. What if, at first, Lilith was only interested in the reader *because* she was cursed? Someone she could try out the more risky, experimental cures on who *isn’t* someone she loved. And then they get to talking and time passes and they go and fall in love, leaving the experimental cures for another time, another life. Imagine Y/N’s reaction when she finds out.”
A/N: I was very tempted to leave this on an angsty cliffhanger, but I didn’t. This time. (Also why are there only like... 3 Lilith gifs?)
Warning(s): Angst
Tumblr media
You had never been meant to find it, that’s what Lilith had said, You were never supposed to know.
The overwhelming warmth that usually came from thinking about the witch filled you with pain instead. Deep, gut-wrenching pain. And so many questions.
You’d been on a bit of a cleaning kick that day; making the beds, cleaning the kitchen, organizing spaces. One of the messiest places in the whole place was Lilith’s desk. You never knew how she managed to work in it. It was covered in unorganized, nearly toppled stacks of papers and notebooks. She didn’t bother to organize it because she never had time. You understood that she was busy, but you hated looking at it. So you took matters into your own hands.
While sorting out some of the piles and documents, you’d accidentally bumped a stack of notebooks with your elbow. They’d toppled off of the desk and onto the floor in a glorious heap. With an over dramatic sigh, you bent down to pick them up, when an open one caught your eye. Bright blue writing in Lilith’s typical neat penmanship was glaring up at you. What really shocked you was the presence of your name, next to the word ‘test subject.’
All of the guilt that had come with reading the pages fell away when you actually read through all of it. It made your heart break, knowing what you knew now.
You were meant to be a lab rat. A test subject for Lilith to try out curses on. There were pages and pages of ‘progress reports,’ which were really a diary on how she was slowly getting close to you. It made you feel sick to your stomach, but it also made you furious. You’d given all of yourself to Lilith. And the whole time you’d been a project. An experiment.
Lilith had walked in then, looking worn out and exhausted from her day. The sight made you ball your hands into fists. When she came around the corner, a pleasant smile on your face, it just made it even worse.
Then she’d seen the notebook in your hand and her eyes widened.
“Darling, it isn’t what you think-” Lilith said, reaching out for you, but you had pulled away.
“Not what I think? I don’t have to think anything! You wrote your intentions out crystal clear!” You snarled, “And to believe I fell for all of it.”
“Please, I know this looks bad, but if you’d just let me explain-”
“No,” You said, “You don’t get to explain your way out of this. I’ve given you so much; years of my life, my heart - and it was all some ploy. How long was this meant to go on? Do you get some sick pleasure out of it all? Watching me fall in love with you, knowing that all you want is to curse me again and again. That’s why all of this has taken so long, hasn’t it?”
“At first, yes, the intention was to use you to understand curses. I’ll admit to that, but it’s been terminated. I terminated it. You were never supposed to know, or find out.” Lilith rushed out, before you could cut her off.
“What?”
“It became real for me. Your smile, your laugh, your… everything,” Lilith admitted hesitantly, “I couldn’t go through with it.”
You wanted to reach out and comfort her, to tell her that you understood, but it didn’t change her original intentions. It didn’t change that she’d started this whole affair with the intention of locking you up like an animal. That it had all been an act, even if it wasn’t now.
“I don’t know if that means enough.” You whispered, avoiding her eyes.
Lilith flinched slightly at the statement. Deep down though, she knew that she probably deserved it. That didn’t stop it from hurting though.
Needing some space, you pushed past her, leaving her standing alone in the middle of her office. That was how you found yourself where you were currently, sitting on the rooftop of some abandoned building on the other side of the Boiling Isles.
You wanted to go back to her. The earnestness on her face told you that she’d meant what she said - that it had all become real for her. It didn’t change that she’d kept the truth hidden for so long, though. That in the beginning you hadn’t meant anything to her. Was that something you could move past?
All of the memories flooded your brain at once. Lilith being there for every curse treatment, holding your hand. The way her face lit up when you slowly got stronger and stronger with each passing day. How she’d been there at your worst moments, offering nothing but love and strength. She’d never left you, even when you’d begged her to.
She had terminated the plan before going through with it, never actually causing you any harm. That didn’t mean you were going to forgive her. But you realized that everything she’d done for you outweighed the things she’d done to you.
So, feeling a little more secure in your stance, you flew back to the Emperor’s castle. You made your way confidently into your quarters, only to stop up short. All of the lights were off. You were very fortunate that your curse had given you excellent vision.
Moving through the rooms quickly, you couldn’t find Lilith in any of them. A few of her things were missing too. That was when you found the note.
Y/N,
It seems only fair that I be the one to give you some space. I’ve moved to another temporary place in another wing of the castle. Take your time, my love.
Lilith
The note made your heart clench. How could you ever stay angry at her? Rushing from the space quickly, you followed your intuition to where you believed Lilith was. It was a mix of tracking her magical aura and your owl-senses working together. And knocking on the door, you knew you’d been successful when she opened it, looking horrible. It was clear she’d been crying.
“Darling-” She started, shocked. You held up a hand for her to stop.
“I’m still very angry and upset,” You said, “but I recognize that you’ve changed since your original plan. You’re not forgiven, but I… I don’t want to be away from you. So come back, please.”
Her eyes filled with tears and she tried to hide it, though you were much too observant for that. She reached out, cupping your cheek in her hand like she wanted to pull you into a kiss, but she just gave you a teary smile. You leaned into her hand, returning the smile.
“I love you.” She whispered.
“I love you too.” You whispered back.
As she walked back into the room to grab her things, you let out a breath. It would still sting for a while, but you’d work through it. Together.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader: 5 Times the Elixir Worked + 1 Time You Needed Something a Little Stronger
Summary: An anon sent in “Lilith helping out her Cursed S/O? I guess being part of the Emperor’s Coven have its perks: like having access to the elixir your S/O desperately needs while trying to find a cure for both her S/O and sister.”
A/N: So this really got away from me. It was supposed to be simple, but man once I got started, I couldn’t stop. This gets really angsty at points, but it does end happily, I promise. Thank you for your suggestion, anon! I hope you love it!

“Miss Y/N, can you help me with number four?” A little voice piped up next to you, making you look down.
A witchling with yellow hair and grey eyes looked up at you, a timid looking smile on her face. You gave her a bright smile of your own, crouching next to her.
“Of course I can, Emone, what are you struggling with?” You asked in a calm voice.
The girl, Emone, was explaining what she didn’t understand when you heard a few gasps from other students in the room. Curiously, you looked up from your focus on the girl’s paper, to see Lilith standing next to your desk. You hadn’t even heard the classroom door open.
“Emone, will you give me a moment to speak with Miss Clawthorne, I promise I will be back to help you. Work on the other questions while I’m gone, alright?”
“Of course, Miss Y/N!” The girl said, diving back into her work.
It was unusual to see your girlfriend during work hours. You were too busy teaching and she had lists of tasks to fulfill for the coven. Whatever had brought her here had to be serious. Giving your students a look that said ‘get back to work,’ you ushered her out into the hallway.
“What’s going on? Is everything alright?” You questioned her as soon as the door to the classroom was closed.
“Everything is fine, dear. I just came to bring you this - it fell out of your bag.” Lilith’s tone was calm as she pressed a familiar bottle into your palm.
The yellow elixir seemed to look back at you accusingly. You were very glad Lilith had noticed it, but angry at yourself for not being more careful. Who knows what could have occurred if she hadn’t brought it? The scenarios running through your head made you feel sick.
“Thank you.” You said, wincing at how you sounded nothing like yourself.
She intertwined her fingers with yours, squeezing lightly. It didn’t take a mind-reader to know what was going through your mind right now. You worried constantly about your curse, both of you did. But while Lilith was surrounded with witches capable of defending themselves, you worked with witchlings. It would be horrible.
Lilith had dropped a few hints about giving classes from one of the rooms in the Emperor’s Castle, but you hadn’t given them much attention. You loved Lilith, but you needed your own time and space sometimes. Teaching at Hexside was your escape. And you kept your curse under enough control that it wasn’t a serious issue right now.
“Don’t let me keep you from your students,” She said softly, drawing your gaze back to her’s, “We’ll talk later this evening.”
You nodded, giving her a slightly strained smile. It didn’t stop her from placing a gentle kiss on your lips before departing. As soon as she was around the corner, you chugged down the elixir, almost frantically.
Once you got your breathing under control, you tucked the bottle into your pocket, re-entering your classroom as if nothing had happened.
2
As soon as your eyes snapped open in the dark, you knew what was happening. The itchy, painful feeling underneath your skin and the deep pain in your chest. You tried to remember if you’d taken your elixir. Or enough of it, anyway. The pain overwhelmed your thoughts before you could remember.
You tried to sit up, immediately doubling over in pain, letting out a low groan. It didn’t matter if you’d taken enough. You needed more, now. Reaching out blindly, you tried to rouse Lilith from where she was sleeping beside you.
“Lil-” You groaned as tufts of feathers broke through your skin, “Lilith!”
The witch jolted, shooting up into a sitting position. She immediately conjured her staff, looking around with wide, frantic eyes.
“What? What’s wro-” She started, before she saw what was happening, “Oh Titan!”
In a way that was so un-Lilith like, she tumbled out of the bed, letting out an ‘oomph!’ before standing up. She ran out of the bedroom quickly. You’d kept your focus on her until she opened the bedroom door, blinding you momentarily with the light from the living space. Not having something to focus on drew your attention back to your body.
The fingers on your left hand were lengthening, the joints letting out sickening cracks. Your skin felt like it was going to rip with the way it had to stretch. Then came your nails, morphing into sharp talons, and slicing the skin as they extended from their normal length. One perk of being cursed was that you healed much quicker than the average witch, so the cuts left behind were quickly mended. The only evidence they’d been there was rapidly drying blood.
Even though you healed quicker, it didn’t stop the pain from being excruciating while it happened. And since you were trying to hold it all back, it was even worse. You let out a pitiful whine. It hurt so much. All you wanted to do was give in.
You were so careful to manage your curse, but you could never control what happened if you turned. It had only happened a handful of times. Usually either you or Lilith grabbed an elixir before it could fully overtake you. But the times you had… well, you didn’t remember them - but Lilith always looked grim after it happened. She would tell you that it was okay and that nobody was too seriously hurt. The worry in her eyes told a different story.
“Lilith!” You screamed, feeling the curse begin to fully take a hold on you.
The bones of your ribcage were slowly breaking as the curse rebuilt your frame. Shards of bone would shoot off of the breakage, imbedding itself in the skin of your insides. It felt like a million paper cuts focused in a single spot. You couldn’t hold it back anymore, you didn’t have nearly enough strength.
So you gave in.
You don’t know what happened next. All you could recall was your mouth being pried open mid-transformation, which you hadn’t liked at all, making you swipe with your transformed hand. Something wet had soaked into your feathers and then it all went black.
When you woke up, your body ached. It was still in the middle of the night and your senses were still heightened, so your transformation hadn’t occurred very long ago. But you noticed above all else that Lilith wasn’t in bed with you.
Though it went against everything your body wanted, you forced yourself out of bed. Where was Lilith? You wouldn’t be able to rest until you knew where she was and if she was alright.
Blinking against the harsh lights of the living space, the sound of running water from the kitchen let you know where she was. But you wanted to see her. To wrap yourself in her. After a transformation, you felt raw, and would cling very tightly to your girlfriend. She allowed it, pretending she didn’t enjoy the contact.
Instead of feeling warm at the sight of her, your stomach dropped. She was next to the kitchen sink wrapping gauze over a bloody gash on her arm. A gash that looked suspiciously like talon marks. You felt frozen.
“L-Lilith?” Your voice broke, watching her.
Her eyes snapped to yours, and though it was brief, the fear that went through her eyes made you feel sick. You gripped your stomach as it rolled.
“Darling, I’m fine,” She reassured, moving to your side swiftly, wrapping you in her arms, “I’m okay. Nothing a little gauze and time can’t fix.”
“I h-hurt you.” You sobbed out, trying to pull away from her. She wouldn’t have any of it.
“It only hurt in the moment. I’m okay now. I’m okay, you’re okay.” Lilith whispered into your ear, holding you tightly against her, “It’s over now.”
As the two of you stood in the kitchen, wrapped up in one another, you couldn’t help but wonder - was it really ever going to be over?
3
“Darling, you have to sit still.” Lilith said, amusement clear in her voice as she watched you squirm.
“Easy for you to say, Miss Coven Leader, you’re not being poked and prodded by needles.” You snarked back, shying away as another coven healer approached you.
“We won’t know if this works if you don’t sit still,” The witch reminded you, “Or would you rather continue drinking that putrid elixir?”
Your stomach turned at the thought of the elixir, sending a chill down your spine. Lilith noticed. She couldn’t help but smirk a little bit, knowing she was right.
The two of you were sitting in the medical bay of the Emperor’s Castle. In-between missions and being there with you, Lilith had been aiding the healers in finding a more potent elixir for your curse. Rather than a drinkable one though, they created one that could be injected. They hoped it would be more potent since it went directly into your bloodstream. And though you wouldn’t admit it, you were hoping so too.
It wasn’t just that you hated the taste of the elixir - it was much better than the alternative, after all - But the curse had been evolving and the elixir didn’t seem to do the trick anymore. So you had both been a little frantic in finding something else. The current potion they were working on was the strongest contender so far. Using samples of your blood, it had been the most successful in holding the curse at bay. On a small scale.
That’s why Lilith was standing ready with a few elixirs, just in case it didn’t work. She was confident that it would, but you’d asked her to have them, just to be safe. And she could never say no to you.
“Let them inject the serum.” Lilith said when you dodged the needle for the second time.
“That’s a really big needle!” You whined, trying to give her a sad look. She didn’t budge.
“What will get you to sit still?”
“Something really nice, for a needle like that.”
“Oh, I can think of something…” Lilith practically purred. You blinked, stunned by the change. So stunned that you missed the look she gave the healer before leaning in to whisper in your ear, “If you sit there like a good girl, I promise I’ll make it well worth your while.. Later.”
You were sure that your face and ears had gone bright red. That certainly wasn’t an offer you were going to refuse. So you nodded, taking a deep breath.
“Alright. I’m ready.” You said.
“Um, I already gave it to you, Miss Y/N.” The healer said awkwardly, looking between you and Lilith.
Furrowing your brows, you looked down at your arm. She was telling the truth. A pretty pink bandaid was stuck to your skin where the needle was supposed to go in. And the feeling under your skin had stopped. It’d worked. Despite that, you looked up at Lilith with a scowl.
“You tricked me.” You accused.
“I never tricked you, merely distracted you.”
“But what about…”
“Oh darling, you know I always keep my promises.” Lilith said, giving you a languid smile.
Swallowing roughly, you avoided her eyes. Your face felt hot again. The needles made have sucked, but it was going to be so worth it.
4
“What did you all get for number three, class?”
The ten students looked down at their papers, then at one another. It confused you. Normally they would jump at the chance to answer the question for you.
“Um, you only told us to do one and two, Miss Y/N.” Braxas spoke up from where he was seated.
Oh.
“Of course, you’re right. Thank you, Braxas.” You smiled, trying to hide your embarrassment. Little things like that had been slipping your mind a lot, so they didn’t seem to react very strongly.
Looking at your watch, it was about time for the lesson to end anyway. Their ride back to Hexside was probably outside, anyway.
“I’d like you all to do question three before class tomorrow. You are all dismissed for the day.” You said kindly, watching as they all nodded, packing their things up.
When the last student had left the room, you allowed yourself to slump down into your chair. Exhaustion had been creeping up on you all day. Since the new treatment for your curse had been proven to work, you’d also learned that there were some serious side effects. It stole a lot of your energy and made it difficult for you to keep food down, so you’d lost a lot of weight. Doing anything for long periods of time was difficult and exhausting.
As a result, Lilith had arranged for you to teach your classes from the castle. That way you didn’t have to go too far and you had access to all of the best care within the building. It had been a good idea. Not that you’d tell Lilith that. You were still a little upset that she’d made such a change without consulting you first, even if it was the safest option.
You let out a heavy sigh. That had been your last class of the day, thank the Titan, but you didn’t have any energy to spare. And you really needed to get back to your room before someone noticed you were still there - or worse - Lilith found you like this. She would be so worried and that was the last thing she needed right now.
Summoning every last speck of energy in your reserves, you moved yourself into a standing position. Though you immediately had to lean against the desk as your vision blurred. That wasn’t good. You tried to take a step, but your right knee gave you, forcing you to hold yourself up using your staff.
Your palisman, a lovely little owl named Stara, animated herself to look down at you worriedly. She nudged slightly at you, giving a concerned coo. You reached up to scratch at her feathers lightly. Logically, you knew there was no way you could get back to your quarters like this.
“Stara, I need you to go get Lilith, please.” You sighed, sitting back down with a wince. It was the last thing you wanted to do, but it was necessary. The owl let out a chirp before gliding out of the room.
Even though you’d sat down, your head was still spinning. You put your head down on the desk. If it didn’t stop the dizziness, at least it would keep you from getting sick. That was the last thing you needed right now.
The gentle flutter of wings alerted you to Stara’s return, followed by the clicking of heeled boots you knew very well. Lilith let out a worried little noise when she reached the doorway. You waved to let her know you were okay, but you didn’t raise your head from the desk.
“Darling?” She said softly, kneeling next to you, “What’s wrong?”
“I can’t walk.” You mumbled out, though it came out garbled because of the way you were positioned.
“I’m sorry?”
“I can’t walk.” You snapped, raising your head.
It felt humiliating to admit and tears were burning at your eyes. You didn’t want to be weak like this. The new treatment kept the curse at bay, but you didn’t know if your body would ever adjust to it like it had the elixirs. You couldn’t keep getting weaker. The healers said that it would continue to eradicate the curse, but you worried it’d take you before it got there.
You felt horrible for snapping at Lilith. She’d been nothing but loving and supportive throughout all of it, but losing the only bit of control you had was difficult. It was horrible looking into the mirror and not knowing who was looking back at you. You were terrified that one day Lilith would wake up and do the same thing; look at you and not know who you were. She was a beautiful, powerful witch and she could have anyone. You couldn’t understand why she stuck with you.
“Alright, darling, let me help you stand. We can fly back and I’ll hold you steady.” Lilith said casually, knowing that making a fuss would make you feel worse.
It hurt her to see you so weak, so sick. She often wondered if it was her fault; she’d been the one to mastermind your new treatment, after all. You were losing so much so rapidly. So much weight. So much mobility. So much freedom. It felt like she’d taken it from you and it broke her heart. Your body was supposed to adjust to this, but it was taking a while. She promised herself that if things got any worse, they would move you back to elixirs, while they worked on something else.
Sitting on your staff, she found a way to perch you on it as well, so that you would lean against her. She tried not to let how light you were get to her.
“Is this acceptable?” She asked softly. You nodded tiredly, not having enough energy to open your mouth to speak.
It was easy enough to maneuver your way through the halls of the castle. Conveniently, it was early enough in the day that most people were still working, meaning nobody witnessed your trip back to your quarters. Even if you hadn’t been awake enough to notice, she knew you’d worry about it later. You hated being seen in such a state.
She was careful to place you in bed comfortably, kissing your forehead gently. As she went to wrap the blankets around you, though, she noticed your nails lengthening slowly. Not having the heart to give you another injection right now, she grabbed one of the elixirs you still kept around.
“Darling,” Lilith said softly, shaking you just enough to wake you slightly, “Your body is trying to transform, so I’m going to give you some elixir right now, okay?”
“‘Kay.” You muttered, opening your mouth expectantly.
Pouring the golden liquid down your throat, she watched with a relieved expression as your nails went back to normal, the curse at bay for now. Feeling almost as exhausted as you looked, she laid next to you. You snuggled into her arms easily. Nothing could keep you away.

“Oh, my dearest, you look beautiful.” Lilith sighed out, looking awestruck.
You blushed, smiling brightly as you twirled. The new dress you’d bought for the occasion flowed elegantly as you spun. It was a brilliant sage green, bringing out your eyes.
“Do you think so?” You asked, teasingly.
“You know I do,” She purred, wrapping her arms around your waist and pulling you close. With a smirk, she nipped lightly at your ear, “I might have to make a few excuses and put you on bed rest for the day.”
The smile that blossomed on your face was bright and happy. Happier than it had been in months. It warmed her from the inside-out to see.
“You can’t call it bed rest if I’m not resting, Miss Clawthorne.” You quipped, placing a quick kiss on her lips.
“Nobody needs to know that part.”
“As much as I would love to play hooky with you today, this is too important. But we can revisit this when I get back.”
“We’ll do much more than revisit it,” Lilith flirted shamelessly, capturing your lips in a kiss that made your knees weak, “Enjoy your day, my dearest.”
“I will.” You smiled.
Grabbing your bag and your staff, you walked out into the hallway with a pep in your step. After the episode where you couldn’t walk, you’d woken up noticeably more energetic the next morning. It turned out that mixing the elixir and the treatment was the perfect combination. And as the weeks had passed, you regained your strength and freedom.
You still had low-energy days, but they were few and far between now. Any other time, you could dance circles around even the healthiest witches. Lilith couldn’t have been more proud of your progress. You couldn’t be more proud of yourself. It had taken a lot of work to get to where you were. But you wouldn’t trade any of it.
All of it had paid off and today was your first day back to teaching at Hexside. You were so excited to be in the halls again, surrounded by your students and peers. It had been so long since you’d been there.
When you got about halfway down the hallway, you absentmindedly went to itch your arm, only to find a few feathers there. Oops. That was another side affect of your treatment combination; the transformations weren’t painful anymore. You’d even been working on controlling them, though you always needed the elixir to bring you out of it. But progress was progress.
Hurrying back to your quarters, you swung into the room, grabbing the elixir. Lilith looked up, raising a questioning eyebrow.
“Forgot to take my elixir, but I got it! I’m really off this time. I love you!” You said, giving her another quick kiss, before downing the elixir and leaving.
As you took off for Hexside with a bright smile on your face, Lilith’s loving gaze followed you from the window until you were completely out of sight.
+1
“Damn it, Y/N, listen! It’s me!” Lilith yelled.
This was not what she’d imagined for her afternoon.
It had been fine to start. You both had the afternoon free of work, deciding to go out for lunch - as a treat. With you going back to work and Lilith catching up on her own, personal time had been a little limited. So you intended to make the best of it.
Or you had, anyway.
Lunch had been lovely. There was a new restaurant that opened across the isles and Lilith had surprised you with a reservation. Not that you had been there very long. About half-way through your meal, Lilith had dropped a few hints of returning home for some more… adult activities. You weren’t going to say no to that.
But your luck seemed to have run out, as you ran into none other than Odalia Blight outside of the castle. You didn’t remember what she said, but it had been enough to make you lose your cool.
As you’d been working on controlling your curse and transformations, your emotions had been constantly fluctuating. They meant the difference between a good transformation and a bad one. And the combination of Odalia’s words, plus the lack of your elixir for the day, had created this - a giant, angry owl-beast going on the offensive outside of the Emperor’s Castle.
“Get a hold of yourself, Y/N!” Odalia yelled from behind a barrier she’d created, only serving to make you angrier. You lunged, clawing at her barrier, jumping back in pain when it shocked you.
Lilith rolled her eyes. Of course Odalia would cause this and then continue to make it worse. Her mind was assessing the situation rapidly. She couldn’t get close enough to give you any elixir, which was really her only hope. But you had been working hard to control the owl beast. She hoped that you had enough control to not gut her.
“Get out of here, Odalia!” Lilith yelled, before taking a chance and walking out in front of you, unarmed and defenseless.
Your beast form tilted its head, looking confused. Lilith felt familiar to you, but how? You didn’t get the chance to find out. Odalia caught your attention and you lunged once more, going to wrap a claw around her form.
Before you could snatch the woman up, Lilith was there in front of you. You stopped dead in your tracks. One part of you was screaming to continue your task, but the other was focused on not hurting the witch in front of you. The internal debate gave Lilith enough time to let Odalia get out of the way.
“Y/N, look at me,” Lilith cooed, speaking in a gentle, soothing tone, “You know who I am. My darling, I need you to transform back for me. Can you do that?”
Once more, you tilted your head, letting out a confused cooing noise. Lilith’s soothing tones relaxed you, allowing your conscious mind to finally break through your cursed mind. And with an extreme amount of focus, you felt yourself transform back, growing back to your normal height and build.
“Lilith?” You said, holding your pounding head.
“I’m here. You did so well, my dearest.” Lilith said, pulling you into her, “So well.”
“My head hurts.” You whined.
“I know. Let me get you inside.”
Lilith helped you into the castle, back to your living space. She settled you in gently, going around and securing everything, before joining you. It would still be difficult in the future to work with your curse and overcome it fully, but you had time. Time, and the love of a very determined witch.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Reader: Derailed
Summary: Seikalice requested “Can I request a Lilith x reader version of the heated kisses with Eda?” and phoenixmakesjams requested “How about Lilith and reader making out.. But Eda keeps interrupting as some form of payback before things get to far?”
A/N: I took a little break from writing yesterday to clear my mind and enjoy the calm. This is a friendly reminder to let yourselves rest every now and again!!
Writing these are so worth it, but there is only so many ways to describe kissing someone lmao. I’m trying my best. If it’s a little repetitive in that way, just ignore it, okay?
Warning(s): Slight NS*FW at times
Tumblr media
“What are you doing?” You asked, feeling a pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind.
“Helping.” Lilith said. As if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
She was most definitely not helping. Not one bit. But you were enjoying the kisses being placed on your neck, so you weren’t going to complain. If you complained, she would stop. So instead of saying anything, you just let out a contented hum.
The Owl House, for once in many months, was quiet. It was a pleasant change. After defecting from the Emperor’s Coven, Eda had been kind enough to let you two move in. It had been a big adjustment, but it had been surprisingly easy to navigate. For you. Lilith had been on thin ice with the residents of the Owl House for cursing Eda. Which was rightfully deserved. You’d been furious for weeks after you found out.
More recently, the residents of the Owl House had been trusting Lilith more in small ways; letting her help with meals, offering solutions on certain scenarios, etc. She was taking to it surprisingly well. For the afternoon, Eda had even let her stay back at the house with you, to help prepare lunch. Usually the witch dragged Lilith with her, making her help with something illegal that she knew her sister would hate. It was her punishment. And though you found it amusing, you’d never tell your girlfriend that.
The plus of the house being so quiet was that it meant you and Lilith had the whole place to yourselves. If you prepared lunch in a certain amount of time, you could enjoy it. But Lilith insisted on distracting you.
“Are you trying to make your sister angry with me?” You asked, realizing that you hadn’t done anything but enjoy your girlfriend’s kisses for the past five minutes.
“What are you talking about?”
“Eda left me in charge of lunch and you are distracting me.”
“I thought you liked being distracted?” Lilith asked. You could hear the grin in her voice.
“I never said I didn’t, but I also don’t want to upset everyone by not having lunch ready.” You said, turning around in Lilith’s arms to look at her.
“They will survive.”
Lilith attempted to pull you into a kiss, but you expertly avoided it, giving her what Luz and King called ‘the look.’ It was a mixture of a few things, but the most obvious emotion on your face was annoyance. Luz compared it to the look her mom gave her when she hadn’t done what she’d been asked. Seeing your expression, the witch sighed, rolling her eyes slightly.
“You can sit down while I finish this.” You said, turning back around, resuming your task. But Lilith didn’t budge from her spot. In fact, she just resumed what she’d been doing before.
“What if I… don’t do that- but I promise to be on my best behavior.” Lilith said softly, lips hovering over that spot that drove you crazy. As much as you wanted to tell her ‘no,’ you weren’t sure you had the strength.
“Fine. Just this once.”
You tried to make it sound like you were confident in your decision, that you’d been the one to make it. The both of you knew it was because Lilith knew your weak spots. She was infuriatingly good at using them against you. Not that you minded it too much.
Lilith kept her promise for a while, allowing you to finish the majority of what needed to be done. You still had a few vegetables to cut when her hands started moving. It was fine at first, before she began to get bolder, drawing your attention completely away from the vegetables. Which was not a good idea since you had a knife if your hand.
“What happened to your ‘best behavior?’” You asked, embarrassed at how breathless your voice was.
“My promise expired.”
“Well, you better renew it, or I’m likely to lose a finger trying to finish this.”
That got her to back off for a little bit. You finished the vegetables with a speed that surprised even you. And as soon as you’d put all of it away, Lilith spun you around, claiming your lips in a kiss. You couldn’t help but let out a whimper as her hands gripped your hips.
As if spurred on by the noises you were making, she wound her legs under your thighs, before lifting you up and sitting you on the edge of the counter. Her lips never left yours, causing you to let out a surprised noise in the middle of your kiss. You could feel her smirk. In retaliation, you nipped at her bottom lip. It wasn’t much of a punishment though since she seemed to enjoy it.
So caught up in the heated kiss, you barely registered her attempting to undo your shirt. It was a remarkably clumsy effort. Neither of you wanted to break the contact, so she was attempting to undo the buttons blindly; she only succeeded in accidentally brushing her hands against your chest, causing you to let out a startled noise.
“Sorry.” Lilith muttered against your lips, before trying again, more carefully this time. She failed once again.
“Oh for Titan’s sake,” You exclaimed, breaking off the kiss, frustratedly fumbling with your buttons, “I chose the worst possible day for this damn shirt.”
“You really did.” Lilith agreed, trying to help you.
Giving her a glare, you swatted her hands away. You weren’t any more successful than she had been. Shaking with adrenaline and sweaty from excitement, you couldn’t get a good grasp on the plastic buttons.
“Oh, screw it. You can just go under it.” You growled. Lilith nodded, before you pulled her back in for a heated kiss.
It was then that the front door opened and Eda bounded into the kitchen.
“Hey, something smells goo- Oh, seriously? In my kitchen?” Eda said, loudly.
The two of you broke apart quickly, attempting to look somewhat poised. But it wasn’t going to happen. Eda had just caught you making out like teenagers, your clothing crumpled in places and hair mussed. The bright blush you were both sporting didn’t help either.
“Sorry, Eda,” You muttered, hopping off of the counter like a scolded child.
“Seriously, Lily? I let you stay home one time and you don’t know how to act!” Eda said, trying not to crack a smile at the situation. Lilith was the last person she expected to find in a compromising situation.
“If you could stop scolding me like a child, that would be much appreciated,” Lilith huffed, “Not to mention she finished her task. So you have nothing to be upset over.”
“You mean besides getting freaky on my kitchen countertops?” Eda deadpanned.
The blush quickly reached Lilith’s ears. Eda couldn’t take it anymore, letting out a loud laugh. You couldn’t help but crack a smile of your own, much to Lilith’s annoyance. With a very dramatic eye roll, she left the room, leaving you and Eda laughing.
——
As you watched the children dance around in the room, illuminated by the disco-snaggle, you were really glad you’d agreed to help. Lilith however, did not share your sentiments.
When Luz had asked the two of you to help chaperone Grom with Eda, you’d given her an enthusiastic ‘yes.’ It was adorable how excited Luz and her friends were and you weren’t going to let them down. They’d even roped you into helping with their preparations beforehand. All of which Lilith had been mysteriously absent for.
You were now watching over your part of the room, grinning as you watched Luz dance with Amity, Willow, and Gus. They all looked so lovely. Internally, you gave yourself a pat on the back. You’d helped Willow and Amity with their hair. And if you could toot your own horn - which you did, silently - they looked fantastic.
Out of the corner of your eye, you caught sight of Lilith’s dress, disappearing behind a corner. It was a lovely shade of green that complimented the color of her hair and eyes. You’d told her so, but she’d brushed it off, not very good with compliments.
“Eda, can you cover this spot for me? I’m going to go find your sister.” You said.
“Yeah. Cause a little trouble for me, won’t you?” The witch asked, the two of you sharing a grin.
“Of course.”
You left the room with a smile on your face, keeping a keen eye out for your girlfriend. It would be hard to not spot her, with her dress being so different from her surroundings. As you walked down the hallway, passing a door, a hand suddenly shot out and pulled you into the small room. You let out a slight shriek, before a hand was pressed over your mouth.
“Darling, calm down, it’s me.” Lilith’s voice penetrated the dark, making you relax from where you’d been trying to lash out. She removed her hand from your mouth.
“What is wrong with you?” You hissed.
Instead of giving you a verbal answer, her hands ghosted over your hips, and you understood immediately. Trust Lilith to choose the most inappropriate place for a tryst.
“Here? Really?” You whispered, squinting into the darkness. Your eyes couldn’t make anything out, since there was not even a speck of light.
“You can’t tell me you never thought about it.” She whispered back.
“I mean, of course I did, but I never expected you to go for it- Miss rule follower.”
“I may like to follow the rules, but bending them has its… rewards.” Her voice dropped in that way that drove you crazy.
You knew she’d done it on purpose, but you couldn’t help but give in. It had always been a fantasy of yours to have a steamy makeout session in one of the closets, but you’d never had anyone to do that with during your time at Hexside. You wouldn’t let it go beyond heavy kissing though, lest someone happened to open the door.
“Fine. We’ll discuss this later, now where is your face? I can’t see a thing in here.” You asked.
In the dark, Lilith’s hands slowly found your jaw, guiding your face forward until your lips met hers. She tasted like cinnamon and you had no idea why. Something on the refreshment table, maybe. But you couldn’t help but enjoy it.
She kissed you slowly, dragging each kiss out in a way that made you silently beg for more. You and Lilith were very passionate with one another, so a lot of the kisses you shared were a bit frantic, but you never liked it more than when she took her time. It made you feel like she’d been made to love you. Like you’d been made to love one another and only that.
When she seemed confident that she could find her way around without her sight, her hands slipped to the small of your back. She gripped your dress in her hands, pushing you forward, into her. No space was left between the two of you. You couldn’t imagine anything better than this. So you couldn’t help but sigh, almost dreamily, against her lips.
Her hands slowly, but surely, began to slip downward. And though the idea of it all was intriguing, you remembered the limit you’d set for yourself. You grabbed them and placed them back where they’d been before, pressed against your back.
“Hands above the waist, Clawthorne.” You muttered, pulling away for a moment.
“Yes, dear.” She replied dramatically.
You rolled your eyes, though you knew she couldn’t see it. It was the thought that counted. A snarky quip was on the tip of your tongue, before her lips found your neck. You went limp. There were spots on your neck that were remarkably sensitive and she knew every single one. You let her work her way around before her hand came up to cover your mouth. It was then that you realized you’d been making all sorts of unholy sounds. You couldn’t help it, though you did try. So you let her hand stay where it was.
There was a sudden crash outside of the door before the two of you were bathed in light, letting out startled shrieks. You covered your eyes while trying to peek through your fingers, hoping to get a glimpse of who had opened the door. It was then that you heard a very loud, very distinct laugh.
“Oh Lily, you are so predictable.” Eda cackled. You heard your girlfriend splutter next to you.
“I am not!”
“You so are! This was my spot, of course you couldn’t be bothered to find your own,” She said, still laughing every few moments, “How ya doin’ there, Y/N?”
Upon Eda opening the door, you’d gone into a slight panic. You had been terrified that one of the teachers or even Principal Bump had found you. The conversations that would inevitably come from that would have scarred you for the rest of your life. So you were infinitely relieved when it was only Eda.
“Yeah, just recovering, you scared me.” You said, giving the woman a smile.
“I’d say sorry, but I would probably be lying. Lily’s face was just too good.”
You watched Lilith glare at the other witch, frustration and annoyance clear in her face. Despite being the older sibling, it was always Eda who had the fun, risky experiences. Making out with girlfriends and boyfriends in storage closets, raising an army of abominations, the works. Lilith had been so eager to try it out since it was something the both of you never had during your time at Hexside. And now her sister, who’d done the same thing many times, was finding extreme amusement in the scene.
“You’re insufferable, Edalyn.” Lilith said, pushing her way past the witch.
Worriedly, you followed, grabbing at the woman’s arm gently. She nearly yanked it away before realizing it was you. Then her demeanor softened.
“She means well,” You said softly, “You know that don’t you?”
Lilith nodded stiffly, not meeting your eyes.
“And I liked it, even if we did get caught.” You smiled, giving her a quick kiss, “Now, I’m going to go chaperone the kids like we came here to do. But later, I expect you to finish what you started.”
She watched you go, a slight grin tugging at the corner of her lips. Grom night was always full of fun.
----
“That’s it, I want a divorce.”
“We’re not even married!”
“Good, then it makes it easier.” You snapped, crossing your arms over your chest.
Luz and Eda were watching the exchange with thinly veiled confusion. They were standing in the doorway, looking between you and an annoyed looking Lilith. Then they looked at one another.
“What is happening?” Eda asked cautiously.
“Your sister decided it was okay to throw away my leftovers.” You said, refusing to look at your girlfriend, who threw her hands up in annoyance.
“I told you I didn’t know they were leftovers! Everything is piled on top of each other, how would I know?!” Lilith asked.
“Use your brain, ex coven leader!”
Luz let out a relieved sigh. You weren’t actually fighting, it was just a squabble over leftovers. That made her feel a lot better. After becoming more comfortable with Lilith’s presence, she’d started to see you two as another set of guardians. The idea of you two breaking up was not an idea she was fond of.
“You’re being irrational.” Lilith said.
“It had my name on it and everything. I have a right to be mad.” You said back.
“Okay you two, go to your room and work this out. I’d like a little peace and quiet after the market.” Eda sighed, pushing the two of you towards the stairs.
Almost in unison, the two of you glared at the owl lady, who just gave you a grin and a thumbs up. You trudged ahead of your girlfriend, refusing to make eye contact. In truth, you’d been having an awful day. The only bright spot had been the leftovers waiting for you. So when you found them missing, you’d blown up at Lilith. You felt horrible about it. She didn’t know, you knew that, but you weren’t sure how to explain all of your emotions now.
Entering your shared bedroom, you left the door open for her to follow you in. You hurried over to the big window; hoping that watching the world outside would calm you down. And then maybe you could find a way to explain to Lilith how you’d been feeling.
You heard her enter the room, closing the door gently. She let out a sigh when she saw you facing away from her. Instead of worrying over what was going through your head, she sat down, pulling out a book and sliding on her glasses. She knew you’d talk to her eventually. It was just a matter of time.
Silently, you commended Eda on her choice of property. You were sure that this had to be the most beautiful spot in all of the Boiling Isles. It had beautiful views of the water and the forest. A property like this was something certain witches would pay mass amounts of money for. Not that you would tell Eda that, or she’d probably try to sell it and move the house.
As the sun was finally dipping below the horizon, casting playful rays of light across the water, you felt yourself calm fully. You had a handle on your emotions and an understanding of them. Most of all, you were sincerely ready to apologize. It wouldn’t make up for all of what had happened, but it was a start.
You stood up from your seat next to the window and walked over to your girlfriend. She looked up at you, raising an eyebrow. Gently, you extracted the book from her hands, marking her spot. And then with a little less grace then you would have liked, you perched yourself in her lap. She accepted the contact without question.
“I’m sorry, Lilith,” You said softly, gently cupping her cheek in your hand, “I woke up in a foul mood this morning and I hinged my happiness on those leftovers. It was wrong for me to get angry with you like that. I’m sorry.”
Lilith let out a deep sigh, before turning her head, and pressing a kiss into your palm. It felt like her way of saying ‘it’s okay.’
“I don’t appreciate how your outburst made me feel, but I accept your apology. I’m still hurt by the situation, however, I did instigate it as well. I’m sorry for that. And thank you for apologizing.” She said softly, placing another kiss against your palm.
You gave her a nod and a timid smile. She returned a small one of her own, before leaning forward to place a gentle kiss on your lips. It filled your chest with warmth. But quickly, one kiss turned into two, three, four… Until the gentle kisses became heated and passionate.
Her hands began to roam and you did nothing to stop them. You didn’t want to. She tugged at your shirt, so you raised your hands above her head, letting her remove it. The move forced you to separate for a moment. You could see her pupils dilated with desire, lips swollen from your kisses. She was so beautiful that it hurt.
When you came back together in another kiss, you couldn’t help but let out a small moan. She was skilled at exciting you without having to do much. And the noise must have ignited something in her because she lifted you up, carrying you across the room before laying you on your back on top of the bed.
As she hovered over you, you didn’t care about anything else. There was nothing on your mind but her. Which turned out to be a problem, when Eda burst through the door unannounced, making you realize that Lilith hadn’t locked it.
“Dinner time, love birds.” She said, sounding far too cheery for someone walking in on their sister and sister’s significant other.
You frantically threw your shirt back over your head, but it wasn’t necessary. Eda had covered her eyes before coming in. She’d known what was going on and had interrupted, simply for the opportunity to annoy the two of you.
“I hate you.” You said, sighing.
“Cute, thanks!” Eda said gleefully.
“Tell me why I shouldn’t hex you?”
“Because you live in my house.”
“She’s got a point there.” Lilith agreed, grinning when you swatted at her.
Eda may have interrupted, effectively ending your brief attempt at a tryst. But she wouldn’t be so lucky later. You’d be extra careful to lock the door. And if the two of you sported smug grins the next morning, that was between you and Lilith.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Dragonborn Reader Headcanons
Summary: Anon requested “Hey can I request headcanons for Lilith Clawthorne with a Fem!S/o who’s a Dragonborn from D&D plz!! So like she can breathe fire (which makes her immune ) she also fights with a bastard sword instead of a staff when using magic!! She also used to be a member of the Emperor Covens, but left after what happened in Young blood, Old souls...”
A/N: These were pretty fun to write out. I hope you like them!
Warning(s): None
Tumblr media
- Reader was one of the Dragonborn to float through life without a set purpose, until she met Lilith. Lilith had just become Coven Leader at the time and had been tasked with increasing recruitment for the Coven to prove herself.
- The confident way Lilith spoke and the clever, sharp gleam in her eyes drew Reader in. She was intoxicated.
- Reader initially thought she was drawn in by the power Lilith had. That she’d wanted the same for herself, that she was finally finding her calling.
- It turns out she was just heavily drawn to Lilith.
- Cue a lovesick Reader, heavily pining for a witch she’d never even had a conversation with.
- (A/N: Sounds like my entire love life).
- Reader refused to leave the coven, despite it not being what she wanted. Her clan valued loyalty above anything else. Especially loyalty to commitment. So she stayed, and good thing too.
- Between training and missions, Reader would write letters to Lilith in draconic. But she’d never send them. It was an exercise to help her deal with the feelings.
- After dedicating herself to the coven, it didn’t take long for her to garner attention. She was brilliant. Lilith couldn’t help but be impressed when she saw Reader in action. A large bout of fire was thrown at Lilith, but Reader jumped between the blast and Lilith since she’s immune to it.
- This led to their first formal conversation.
- It was a bit awkward - stilted, even. But Lilith wasn’t put off. She was far too impressed with Reader to allow herself to be put off.
- One conversation led to many more. Everytime, Reader was trying to work up the courage to ask Lilith out for a drink.
- Eventually she did it on a whim.
- Lilith accepted easily. From there, things grew and grew, until they became an item.
- It was an odd dynamic at first, working together and being together. They adjusted though. Reader became Lilith’s right hand in both work and life.
- Reader fights with a bastard sword rather than a staff, but she still has a palisman. Her palisman is carved into the hilt of her sword.
- As Lilith was tasked with capturing Eda, Reader became more and more uncomfortable with what was going on. It led her to leave the Coven. Despite it going against her clan’s ideals, she refused to hurt someone who was an innocent.
- Lilith left the Coven after YBOS, which helped strengthen her relationship with Reader. Reader was still salty about her cursing Eda, though.
- It took a lot of grovelling, but eventually things settled back into normal between them. They just live in the Owl House now.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader: Can’t Go Back
Summary: Anon requested “Can you make a fic where Lilith curses the reader just as she did with Eda, and she finds out?”
A/N: Ouchie...
Warning(s): Angst
Tumblr media
“And who is going to protect you out there?”
“I am more than capable of protecting myself, Lilith.” You snapped.
“Oh, really?” The witch scoffed, making you look at her sharply.
“Is there something you’d like to say?”
“This is basically a suicide mission. You know this and you’re still being stubborn.”
“Believing in my own capabilities is being stubborn?” You raised your eyebrows dangerously. Lilith rolled her eyes at you.
“You can’t do this mission. You won’t have enough backup and something will distract you, it always does.”
Lilith’s tone had taken on a pleading note, but you didn’t seem to notice or care. She’d tripped the wrong wire and opened up a particularly nasty can of worms. You were furious at her lack of trust in you.
“That’s bold coming from you. It took the Emperor threatening you to finally bring your sister in. The sister you had to curse in order to best her, I might add.”
You knew it was a low blow. You knew that you shouldn’t have said it, but you didn’t care. There was so much anger boiling over in the pit of your stomach. As you watched her face twist up furiously though, there was a pang of regret in your stomach.
“Then what does that say about your skills, Y/N, that you were so easy to curse? That a lesser witch was able to get to you?” Lilith snarled, making you freeze.
Her eyes widened and she clapped a hand over her mouth. You felt like she’d hollowed you out with her words. This stupid fight had unlocked a truth that you’d never expected. You shouldn’t have had to. All the years of wondering who’d cursed you, ruined you, and she’d been the same woman to put a ring on your finger.
“Y/N, please, let me explain-” Lilith whispered shakily, reaching for you, but you backed away.
“All this time?” You whispered, tears blurring your vision, “How could you? I-I actually believed you, I thought you loved me.”
“I do. Y/N, please, I do love you.” She pleaded.
“You don’t destroy someone you love.” You said, your voice breaking.
Lilith flinched. You couldn’t see her expression through your tears, but you didn’t need to. It didn’t matter how she hurt. She was finally confronted with the atrocity of what she’d done. None of the hurt she felt would excuse what she’d done to you.
Grabbing your things, you turned and left the room, feeling like there was a hole in your chest. Lilith called after you, but you ignored it. There was no coming back from this.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader: The Truth Will Out
Summary: An anon requested “Hi! Can I request Lilith Clawthorne x Cursed S/O but S/O finding out that she cursed her sister and angst please?”
A/N: Um, ouch.
Warning(s): Angst, No happy ending
Tumblr media
She’d never meant for you to know. That made it all hurt more.
You’d been wandering the halls of the castle, wasting some time before dinner. A hoard of coven guards passed by, talking animatedly, failing to notice you. You were going to write it off as overexcited newbies originally. Living in the castle, you saw enough of them to not care much anymore. But three words in their chatter stuck out to you.
Lilith. Eda. Fight.
The words made you stop in your tracks. Lilith had been acting strangely this past week or so, more distant than normal. Was this why? What was going on between her and Eda? Feeling worry and curiosity settle in your stomach, you followed the group of guards.
All of them went into the open balconies, blocking the openings. You were much shorter than most of them, so it wasn’t too shocking. Just annoying. Unable to weave through them, you turned to leave, when you heard loud crackling and Lilith’s voice.
You didn’t hesitate to turn, shoving guards out of the way. If Lilith was hurt, or in trouble, you should know. You could help. The guards muttered as you shoved them, one even grabbing your arm. One of his peers quickly removed it, but not before you’d given him a snarl. He pulled his hand away as if burned.
When you’d finally made your way to the openings, you took in the scene with wide eyes. Eda and Lilith stood on the drawbridge, Eda’s human Luz encased in a bubble between them. Listening intently, you could just barely make out what was being said. And then the fighting started.
You didn’t know who struck first. It wasn’t important. What was important was getting to Lilith before any of it got out of hand. In a duel, it didn’t matter who it was, Lilith became ruthless. Narrow-minded. You weren’t close with Eda, but you wouldn’t let Lilith hurt her own sister. So you ran through the halls as fast as you could. Pure adrenalin was the only thing getting you to the doors.
Kikimora attempted to block your exit, saying that you’d only be a distraction. You let out a feral sounding growl. The noise was so loud that it echoed in the space, but you didn’t care - Kikimora had moved out of the way. You pulled open the doors quickly.
Upon opening them, a bright yellow spell narrowly missed your head. You felt stunned, but couldn’t afford to waste any time. As you stepped through the doors, you could hear everything that was being said.
“You always thought you were better than me! That I could never beat you in anything!” Lilith yelled, crouched behind a barrier.
“I am better than you!”
“Then why were you so easy to curse?!” Lilith screamed.
You felt your heart stop. The scene in front of you went blurry as tears flooded your eyes. The whole time Lilith had been helping you, holding you when the curse had gotten bad - and she’d been no better than the person who cursed you. She’d ruined her own sister's life, just like yours had been ruined. Lilith had lied to you. All this time, she’d lied.
A loud noise snapped you from your thoughts, watching as Lilith conjured a large hand and pushed down on Luz, who was dangerously close to the spikes in the pit. Eda was saying something to her, but it all sounded garbled. You summoned your staff, stepping forward when a hand wrapped around your wrist.
“Do not interfere.” Kikimora ordered you.
Your blood felt it was boiling in your veins. How dare she order you around, like you were some lapdog? Like you were Lilith? Your heart ached at the thought, but the anger building inside of you was stronger. You would never be like her. You would never bow to the Emperor’s whims or follow the orders of his lackeys.
“Don’t touch me.” You snarled, watching as your magic erupted in electricity upon your skin. It shocked the witch, causing her to let go of your arm with a yelp.
Eda let out a loud scream as a wave of magic flew out from her, making you cover your eyes against the brightness of it. When it cleared, you watched as she transformed into an owl-beast, eerily similar to how you looked. But Lilith restrained her. Luz jumped on Lilith and you watched as the woman threw her off, saying something about families as the bridge rolled back.
The smug, triumphant look she wore dropped when she saw you standing there. You weren’t sure what you looked like, but it was enough to make her look fearful.
“You cursed her.” You spoke first. Your voice sounded hollow, empty - it made her flinch.
“Y/N, let me explain-” Lilith tried, only for you to cut her off angrily.
“Explain? Explain what, Lilith!? This isn’t forgetting to turn off the lights or misplacing my shoes. You ruined your sister’s life! And you’ve put her apprentice in danger- used her as a shield. Even if you couldn’t explain that away, I refuse to let you. I… I don’t know who you are, but you’re not my Lilith.”
You watched tears come to her eyes, flinching away from your statement. It hurt you to say too, but anger overwhelmed you more than anything. She’d kept all of this a secret. Taunting her sister endlessly, trying to capture her, when all of it had been her fault.
The owl-beast, Eda, let out a loud screech next to her. It was angry, but there was so much pain in it. You could feel the emotions like a blow to your own chest. She was confused and scared, but she’d lost something. Something valuable to her. She couldn’t find it and it was terrifying her. With a glance across the bridge, you realized it wasn’t a what, but a who. Eda was terrified because she couldn’t protect her apprentice. Her child.
Unbridled anger filled your veins and you lashed out, throwing a blast of magic at Lilith, who hadn’t had time to protect herself from it. You attempted to undo the binds around Eda when a blast hit your side, making you clutch at it. But you refused to stop until Eda was free. Another blow knocked you to your knees.
Lilith was standing there, looking pained, but defensive. Gone was any guilt you felt for lashing out. She had taken away her sister’s life. She’d taken away Luz’s guardian, someone who loved her. Another burst of magic erupted from your staff, but she blocked it this time.
“My darling, let me explain. I’m doing this for her, the Emperor will heal her curse!”
“If he didn’t heal mine, what makes you think he’ll heal her’s? How can you claim to love your sister and do this to her? He’s made you so blind.” You said, feeling defeated.
“Don’t get in the way, darling, it won’t end well.”
It was meant to be a warning, but it felt more like a threat. That’s how it was going to be then. You went to stand, to duel her properly, but Eda let out a chirping noise next to you that caught your attention. It wasn’t like understanding a verbal language, there was no perfect translation. But it felt like she was pleading for you to go. To protect her Owlet. You held back all of your tears as you looked into her dark orbs, being able to read the pain and pleading in them.
“I’ll protect her, Eda,” You promised softly, “And we’ll come back for you.”
She let out another noise that sounded grateful. You didn’t want to leave her, abandon her. She was like you. The two of you were the same. But she was asking for you to go, to take care of her child. You couldn’t deny her that. You could only promise that you’d return for her.
“I hope you’re happy playing executioner.” You spat at Lilith, who flinched.
She called after you, but you heard none of it. You didn’t want to. All that mattered was protecting Luz. You’d do anything you had to to protect her. For Eda. Then you could get the woman back, find a way to get her back to normal. It would be dangerous, but you didn’t care anymore. You’d find a way. Even if it killed you.

Lilith Clawthorne x Fem!Witch Reader: Progress
Summary: Anon requested “Maybe a sequel to the whole cursed!s/o finds out Lilith cursed Eda and stuff but its the end of young blood old souls and Lilith and her s/o fix things between them?”
A/N: I think it would take a little more than that for Reader to really be okay with everything, so that is kind of what I tried to show here.
Warning(s): None
Tumblr media
You watched in awe as Lilith and Eda slowly landed on the ground, Eda now back in her normal form. Luz, who’d been standing next to you, didn’t hesitate to throw herself into the witch’s arms. It warmed your heart to see Eda hug her and King back.
Lilith stood off to the side awkwardly, unsure of what to do. It was then that you noticed her eyes had changed and she was now sporting a rather attractive grey streak. You let yourself stare at her for a moment, unsure of what you were meant to feel.
It had broken your heart when you learned that Lilith had cursed Eda. Especially with how she’d used Luz as bait, putting her in the middle of a dangerous situation. Putting them all in the middle of it. And when you’d left as a result, you knew you’d seen her again. You just never imagined it would be like this; fleeing the Emperor and sharing her sister’s curse.
Part of you was impressed. It was a big step for her. The other part reminded you that it was the most basic thing she could have done. But you remembered how loyal Lilith had been to the Emperor, how much it had probably taken for her to betray him in any way. You gave her an extra point for that.
Her eyes met yours hesitantly. And though you wanted to look away, to avoid everything that had gone unspoken, you maintained the contact. You still loved her, of course; you’d been in love with her for years, it wouldn’t go away in a week. However, that didn’t mean you weren’t furious at her. She had a lot of work left before you would be willing to forgive her.
As Luz, Eda, and King made their way back into the Owl House, you made to follow them. Though you stopped at Lilith’s side. The two of you looked at one another for a long moment, before you let yourself lean forward, placing a kiss on Lilith’s cheek.
“Good job today, Clawthorne.”
You gave a small smile, before walking into the Owl House, leaving a shocked Lilith behind. The witch let a blush spread across her cheeks. Maybe she hadn’t completely messed things up, after all.
