Ignorance is Bliss

Steve liked to pretend the Upside Down never happened, that he was a regular teen boy with regular teen issues. He didn’t like to focus on the new scars marring his skin, the ones with the questionable origins that he’d never be able to explain. The way he saw it, his nightmares and anxiety during the day focused on the past enough. So, he moved on as much as possible. He bottled everything up and acted like he was fine. He acted as a listening board for his friends to vent and kept his own problems under lock and key. It worked as much as one would expect and he was fine.

But moving on caused its own problems. His friends started getting more distant with him and leaning on each other because how would Steve understand what they were going through if he moved on so quickly? Things only got worse on his own. His nightmares bled into the day, his fears kept him locked away, and his insecurities started to overwhelm him in the Party’s absence.

That’s where Eddie and Robin came in. They forced Steve to accept the past, to talk about his feelings, and to drop the armored facade that held him captive. It took many tears, several hugs, and more than a few of Robin’s rants to get through to him. But eventually, Steve opened himself up to vulnerabilities and couldn’t fathom how he’d survived in the past without doing so.

Things were so much better with open communication. Gone were the lonesome days of concealing his emotions and existing as a broken shell of trauma. He could feel what he went through without being weak and he’d never felt so… content. Happy. He had Robin by his side as his best friend and platonic soulmate. He had Eddie as his boyfriend once he found the guts to make a move. And once the Party spent some time with the new and improved communicative Steve Harrington, he had his friends back too. He wasn’t as collected as they thought he was and as soon as they saw how it had affected him, they crawled back with sorries on their lips and understanding in the air.

The Upside Down came with a lot of bad but it brought some good with it too. It bulldozed into their lives with trauma and pain and public persecution. It tore the Party apart and they had to fight to stay together. But it gave Steve a best friend, a boyfriend, and a family. It brought the Party together and made them a family, dysfunctional as it was.

I have worked at Starbucks for over 2 years now and I make the chalkboard signs for my store. While searching for inspiration on Pinterest, I discovered that someone made a Stranger Things chalkboard designating different drinks to different characters. While the artwork was great, the drinks just didn't match according to my opinion so I wanted to make my own. Without further ado, a baristas guide to Stranger Things drinks:

- Steve Harrington: We're starting off with one of the more simple to order drinks. There's no mods or alternatives, just a pure, sweet drink. Steve is a Caramel Ribbon Crunch. He's layered and multifaceted the same way the drink has separate layers. He's sweet, sometimes too sweet for his own good, but he's cool as ice. Served drizzled and well topped (if you know what I mean 😉)

-Eddie Munson: My best friend Maya works with me and introduced me to this drink and I can't think of anything better for Eddie. You get a cup of lemonade, add some ice, pour a blonde espresso shot on top, and voila: The Cigarette Butt. It's got a sweetish smokey flavor, a little sour, a little weird. People either love it or hate it without giving it a try.

-Nancy Wheeler: I wanted to do something sensible for Nancy but something that would also be strong for a badass like Nancy. We often say that Iced Americanos are the hot girl drink so I knew I wanted it to be and Iced Americano. As for the extras, I wanted it to be blonde ristretto. Blonde Ristretto shots are the BEST kinda shots so it fits one of the best characters. As for cream: Almond Milk. She's giving lactose intolerant but in a "I prefer almond milk to soy milk" kinda way. She's not pretentious about it, but maybe a little.

-Robin Buckley: I was going back and forth with Robin. I had multiple ideas but narrowed it down to two. Number 1. Iced Vanilla Matcha with coconut milk OR Number 2. An Iced Chai with brown sugar syrup and oat milk. Either way, both scream Queer and Quirky. I also get a sort of library soft vibe from her. I'm picturing tans and old books, soft pastels, those kinda things. Arguably that's more a Nancy vibe as well but Robin is light academia and Nancy is dark.

- Jonathan Byers: This is a man that listens to good music and spends his day taking photographs and getting high. He's a sweater and slacks, a wallflower, the quiet calm in a chaotic storm. He's a London Fog, specifically with soy milk. Underappreciated and sometimes forgotten, this is a true pillar in every way. Teas have always been there and always will be, much like the steady reliability of Jonathan. The flavors are gentle and when paired with the vanilla it creates something complex and delightful.

- Argyle: This brochacho does NOT need coffee. He's bright and colorful, slightly overwhelming at times, but full of zest. When thinking of him, I wanted to choose the brightest, most colorful drink I could. He's a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade with peach juice and pineapple pieces. This drink is the Starbucks ocean of flavor, but the pineapple comes freeze dried in a bag. Remember: Try before you deny.

- Hopper: I was going to leave this as just the Fruity Six, but I can't resist. Hopper is the McDonald's Dad. Hopper is a cup of black coffee.

summary: Tall Robin x short gf fluff

Robin came downstairs to find you talking to Steve about one of your favorite movies ever. It wasn’t a big movie, so people often criticized it but you always stood your ground, telling everyone who dared to even attempt to insult your favorite movie all about why it’s so good.

It was cute seeing you all frustrated as you tried to make your point, you being all short and small made you even more adorable in her eyes. She never actually made fun of you for it, she just found her smaller little girlfriend cute.

It obviously had a lot to do with her being a taller woman, but you were also a much shorter woman. You were barely 5’2, while Robin was 5’8, sometimes 5’9 if she was wearing some slightly taller shoes. She loved the height difference though, it was just so adorable.

She walked up behind you slowly wrapping her arms around in a bear hug. You placed your arms on hers, holding her hands as you stomped adorably trying to make your point.

“I just think there are better options” Steve said and you groaned, Robin chuckling softly behind you. She kissed your head and said “he just doesn’t understand bub. I love that movie just as much you do, so screw what Steve says”

You turned your head, looking up at your sleepy girlfriend. She had just woken up, you and her spent the night at Steve’s place and were up pretty late just hanging out with each other. She smiled and kissed you softly, burying her face in your neck.

You smiled and Steve fake gagged, sliding your plates of breakfast towards you. “Mmm, that looks good. Maybe we should move in here” she said, you and Robin had been looking for somewhere to rent together.

“Steve wouldn’t enjoy hearing you moan my name as much as I do” you said and she giggled with embarrassment. You smiled and looked up, standing on your tippy toes to kiss her cheek.

I know you mentioned wanting to talk about damian earlier so what is your ideal direction for damians character? Assume you can retcon out details of Canon events

I think I talked about this a lot on my blog here and there, but Its not like I have ONE very detailed direction for his character and honestly I'm starting to try my hardest to not think about what we could have, because I know it will probably never happen and I would just make myself sad.

As for what I want, it depends if you mean from this point-on or if I could just go back in time to a certain point since Lazarus Planet is still going and I have a feeling it will fuck up do a lot of changes to Damian, so we will have to wait to see what happens. Either ways, I personally just want everything that happened since 2016 to be undone, I don't care how, just erase it all and lets pretend like the last issue of R:SoB was just released and lets start from there.

You know what's funny, even though Damian's fanbase is extremely diverse, almost all of us have been asking for only one of two things for so many years now, which are either A) bring back Maya & Suren and have Damian form a team with them B) have Damian be forever trapped as Jon's partner in a Super Sons comic that doesn't end (which I’m obviously not here for.)

That's it, there are really no huge amount of Damian's fans who are asking for anything else, yet DC keeps doing stories that no asked for that are always forgotten about after they end. Not only have they completely discarded point A, but they actually even have the balls to semi-discard point B, which I’m actually glad about don’t get me wrong, but I’m just surprised considering how feral and loud SS’s fans are, so if THEY can’t have what they want, I’m afraid no Damian’s fan can wish for anything, even though again, we're easy to please and what we want done with his character is clear as the day (we’re are not asking for much either)

Now if I was like the CEO of DC, I will just be an asshole who ignores continuity and have Damian deaged to like maybe 11/12 years old, put him back in his classic costume and have him return to Gotham as its official Robin, who actually has a personal/civilian life and regular interaction with all Batman's related characters (the fact that the last time time he had proper one-on-one interaction with any of the Batgirls was in the 00's decade is ridiculous, especially when one of them is his literal sister)

I would have Talia taking a small amount of members from the LOS who were always more loyal to her goals and means than her father's to form her own small spy organization that focuses on saving the Earth in ways other than killing a lot of people, similar to how Talia destroyed Lex Luthor Crop during her spy era, so maybe we will see her going undercover in corporations that commit a lot of pollution and making them go bankrupt or something similar?

Maya, Suren and Goliath would be living with her, however they wouldn't really be involved in her spy work (except maybe Maya, whose stealth powers can come in handy) instead they, along with Damian who will occasionally leave Gotham to team-up with them, will play a more action-based role.

So it will be 3 books, a Talia's book about her doing spy work, a Damian's book about him being Gotham's Robin and a team-up book with him and his friends going on adventures, which I have plenty of ideas for.

From expanding on Maya's backstory and doing something with the plot-line about her mother that Gleason didn't get to write, to a story about the Darga tribe who have been teased for a while now without anything coming from it and their connection/rivalry to the Al Ghul family (maybe even have a story about Suren betraying his friends for his family before double crossing them and declaring his friends to be his real new family) and the Year of Blood's storyline is a treasure trove that can be used as basis for newer stories. For instance, a lot of the artifacts that Damian stole seem to have some kind of power/magical properties to them, so I wouldn't mind seeing a story about a villain getting their hands on them to use them for evil and our team retrieving those items from them.

And I love the character of Ruh, if they don't plan on reviving Ra's, I wouldn't mind her leading the rest of the League that Talia didn't take (lets be real, DC will never fully disband the League) and maybe Talia + the kids will act as a throne in her throat by always beating her to any newly discovered Lazarus Pit and destroying it before her League reach them (I feel like I would be able to come up with more stories after LP ends)

I have so many ideas in my brain its ridiculous, but like I said at the beginning, I know none of them would ever happen, since all of them require Talia and Damian to not be demonized and to be written as main-characters, which 90% of DC's writers are not interested in doing, so it would be better to just forget about them.

I understand what Maya was saying and I do agree in some aspects.

Not to mention, actors getting interviewed usually leads to people focusing on the buzzwords from it vaguely, sort of overlooking the intention behind what they were actually saying. I would hate to see fans sending Maya hate over this, bc we know how common it is for outlets to remove entire sentences or even just a few words from the person, all for clicks, leading a bunch of people to harass over a simple statement, that was never meant to be taken so seriously in the first place.

When she was asked about Robin’s romantic arc going forward, she merely made a point to say that while that is an aspect of the story, friendship is just as important.

That’s true.

I think in s5 we’re definitely going to see the show prioritizing the importance of friendship with the party in particular, and also (found) family, and that not every character needs romance to be fulfilled. We have already speculated on that plenty with El’s arc, and some have even speculated on that for Nancy’s arc potentially.

Where I think that this gets complex, is that I think it does largely depend on the arc for the character.

Characters like Steve and El have convinced themselves they need romantic love to be fulfilled, to the point of forcing it and being miserable in the process. So the way to subvert their arcs, is to have them realize that is not the case, that they can be happy without romantic love. That doesn’t mean they can never have it, but it also doesn’t mean that it needs to be their main goal considering how young they are and how much they would honestly benefit in their growth as individuals if they accepted that they don’t need to force romantic relationships that aren’t actually making them feel good about themselves.

Characters like Robin and Will on the other hand, have convinced themselves that romantic love is not even an option for them, to the point of sort of letting go before even trying. When it came to romantic aspects of Robin’s arc in s4, she always approached it cautiously, under the assumption that it’s not something she can pursue genuinely without risking being ‘a town pariah’. And then Will is sort of in a similar boat, where he’s under the assumption Mike has been rejecting any romantic feelings for him since s3, with him by s4 accepting that it will never happen, to the point of pushing Mike and El together when they themselves were ready to let go.

So while I get what Maya was saying in the grand scheme of things, I don’t think it would be satisfying for her arc and how they’ve framed it up to this point, for her to not see that it is genuinely an option for her, and same for Will.

But tbh, her saying she has no idea how the show ends… is false.. So it’s very likely she is thinking about a combination of things when she says that. I do genuinely think she was more so saying that in general, that romance isn’t everything. And considering what’s going to go down in s5, it makes sense she would make a statement like that.

And yet… I do want to discuss the impact Robin not experiencing romantic love at all would have on viewers in future generations.

It’s just such a norm for wlw to not get the same treatment as straight or even mlm relationships in media. Although we’re dealing with a side character who was introduced in s3, with a love interest introduced in s4, so obviously not the same wheelhouse as other romantic dynamics like milkvan or byler, with them being main characters since the beginning, I still think that seeing it through and making it satisfying for her character and what she thinks is possible for her, and subverting that with some requited wlw love, is arguably essential to making that feel fulfilling once we see the story as a five part story.

I can already picture people having valid criticisms post s5, assuming they decide to just drop the romance between Robin and Vickie completely. Them introducing them in the previous season as a possibility, only to let it go into obscurity bc people weren’t as interested in it as other dynamics, would be pretty shitty.

At the end of the day, I am confident in the Duffer Brothers and ST writers vision of how they want it to go down, and I know Maya supports it too, bc she has said in the past while filming s4 that she appreciates the duffers for putting so much love into her character’s story and every characters story.

So if they decide that they don’t want Robin’s arc to be all about romance, but just an aspect of it, then I will support that and wait to see how it plays out (tbh I think every character is capable of having an arc at some point with love AND other things. It doesn’t have to be love and nothing else…)

Rockie is arguably not in as intense of a situation as byler, bc again we’re dealing with 2 main characters with series long build-up vs. two new side characters. Because of that it’s important to think critically about it beyond the basics of what we think and what we want, and what actually makes sense when thinking about it logically from a narrative stand point.

We’ll have to see how it goes. And while I do agree romance isn’t everything, in ST case, romance AND platonic love have played a crucial role in the story, always. People that think s5 is just going to drop romance entirely are not thinking logically about how inconsistent that would be with what the story has been presenting all along.

Different characters have different arcs, and that’s a good thing, bc if everyone had identical build up and resolutions, that wouldn’t be very interesting nor satisfying.

It all largely depends on what has been presented thus far for each individual character and what will feel most satisfying in the end based on that.

A/N: I might have carried away with this one but goddamn, I want a relationship like that 😤 Anyways, that can be read as Robin x Reader too( except one little part) and these are some of the videos that inspired me!

"Coming, coming! Stop banging the door, dammit!"

Hastily getting off of the couch while trying to throw your blanket away from your figure but miserably failing, you stomped down to answer the door and give whoever was behind it a piece of your mind. It was almost the midnight, you were peacefully watching some horror movie while scrolling down on your phone but the banging was so loud that you almost had a heart attack by how fast your heart was beating.

Finally catching your breath and sighing deeply to calm yourself, you opened the door while getting ready to curse at the person but...

"Maya? What the hell, dude? You scared me so much, next time try to be more gentle!"

Giving you an awkward smile, she gestured the living room shyly. "May I come in..? I'm sorry but I brought some snacks as an apology?"

Suddenly holding out the snacks at you, you pouted and raised a brow at her. "Okay, fine. You can cuddle up to me..."

Giving her a smile that could rival even the Sun, you finally took her in your home and closed the door behind her. You took the food from her cheerfully and skipped to the kitchen while yelling at her that she could change the movie or even open some series. Meanwhile you were thinking hard and she was standing awkwardly in the middle of your living room.

You were curious at to why she was here, in the middle of the night while she had shooting to do and you needed to go to your studio to compose your newest album and later meet with your friends. You knew Maya, if it wasn't something urgent, she wouldn't be coming over at a busy night.

The only way to know was to ask.

Stepping inside your living room, you had to double take at the amazing scene before you. Maya was in her pajamas while her hair was messy, looking at you with wide eyes and a chip between her slender fingers. The TV reflected its blue light on her gorgeous face and you had to do everything in you to keep your heart in check. That was wrong, having feeling for your best friend who was already in a relationship even thoughyou loved her way before she was dating someone.

"You started to eat without me?"

"You were taking long..?"

Rolling your eyes at her, you plopped down on the couch and grabbed a handful of popcorn while watching the movie earnestly, not being aware of Maya's eyes on you.

She first came here to tell you about how she broke up with her boyfriend and how she wanted to just hang out. She wasn't... sad at all. She was actually both relieved and stressed. Relieved, because she finally accepted what has been missing in her life and stressed because she didn't know how you would react...

React to her being in love with you.

For all the years you two had known each other, she never once saw you date a woman or openly say that you were lgbtq+ but you were respectful, you defended them and wore rainbow-themed things all the time to show your support but... It was just hard to confess your feeling when you didn't even know if the person you were in love with even had the same feelings.

But she could no longer wallow in her pity, trying to figure out things. If she needed some progress, she had to be direct. And direct she was.

"Have you ever kissed a woman?"

Freezing at what she said, you slowly turned to look at her with popcorn still in your hands with a comical look. "W-What? Where's this coming from?"

"I-I mean don't get me wrong, I was just curious! Like you're so supportive of lgbtq+ right and all that, I just wanted to know..." She said nervously while being gratefull that the darkness was able to hide her deep blush. What was I thinking while asking that! Now she thinks I'm a creep!

You raised a brow at her suspiciously, not expecting her question. You wondered if you made it that obvious, feeling nervous so suddenly. You weren't afraid of judgement, you knew that Maya would understand and most of your fans too but if you talked about your feelings, you were sure that you wouldn't be able to hide your adore for the woman sitting next to you.

"I-I... I actually, well promise me you're not gonna judge or something?"

Nodding her head furiously, you giggled at her enthusiasm and she blushed again, feeling like a highschooler. She was never that nervous even when she was 16, a hormonal teenager! But she couldn't help let hope bloom inside her heart for there was a slight chance.

If you were asking that question, it could only mean that you were and that maybe she had a chance. She wouldn't have to dream of your face whenver she was out with a guy, or dream of having you between her arms while reading out for you, or just holding your cheeks between her hands, squeezing them cutely to annoy you...

She wouldn't have to hide herself anymore.

"I'm not still sure about the men part but yeah... I'm actually attracted to women... If we can count fictional men as men like, you know male gender, then I might be attracted to them too... Uhm, why are you looking at me like that?"

You were lost inside her blue hues, the ones that made you admire her from afar for years now. She was looking at you as if you hung the Moon and the stars, the kind of look that made someone blush and hide away shyly, eyes sparkling at you as if she was... in love.

Gasping at the realization, you looked at the woman with wide eyes. Looking at her for any confirmation, she sighed shakily and nodded her head with a small smile. You sat up straight and with shaky hands, grabbed her own.

"B-but... Don't you have a boyfriend?"

"I... I broke up with him. Never felt right being next to him... He wasn't you."

Smiling shyly at her and looking down at her soft-looking lips for a second, Maya noticed your stare going down and smirked knowingly at you. Scooting closer to you and taking your face between her hands, she rubbed your cheeks softly with a dopey smile.

"Have you ever... kissed a woman before?"

"I didn't... I don't know what to do, Maya..."

Feeling sympathy for you, she touched your foreheads together and breathed in your smell. "We can take slow steps, for you. It's not like I'm not nervous but you come first..."

Looking at her with big eyes that was filled with nothing but love, you sat up and looked expactantly at her. "My lips are chapped and I smell like popcorn, you really wouldn't like to-"

Rolling her eyes at you and your adorable ramble, Maya dived in to kiss you deeply and slowly, cutting your sentence in the middle. Gasping loudly at her and how her lips were really soft, you moaned slightly when she pushed her tounge inside your mouth. It all felt too much, feeling overwhelmed not because of nerves but love and care. Feeling the fireworks inside, her hands burning your skin slowly, you were now sure that you would do anything for her. Fight for her and never let her smile drop for even a second.

Kissing her some more, little pecks here and there, you parted your ways and looked at each other with smiles. Giggling at each other that turned to loud laughter, you cuddled up to your now-new girlfriend. Feeling content for the first time, after being lonely for so long, you already had your muse for your next song which would be the biggest surprise to the whole world.

"Love, would you give me a little bit of attention!"

Hearing her raspy voice before feeling her weight on top of you, you wheezed and smacked her hesd lightly which she pouted." Don't throw your whole weigh like that May!"

Giggling at your annoyed face, she snuggled to you even more and hugged you close while trying to look at what you were doing. "Writing new lyrics?"

Nodding your head at her and swimming inside your mind to write the best lyric, you groaned and rested your head on the table. "I'm supposed to be writing lyrics but I can't think anything! It feels like my brain just stopped!"

Humming at the back of your neck and causing goosebumps, you laid your head at her soft chest and tightened your hold on her arms that wrapped around your neck. Feeling overwhelmed since everyone was waiting for your new album and not spending enough time with your girlfriend, you didn't even realize you were softly crying while kissing her wrist gently. Widening her eyes at the wet feeling, she first thought you were licking her to get her off of you but then she felt another and another one and realized that you were actually crying. Almost falling at the shock and fumbling a little bit, she stood in front of you and took your face forcefully between hers.

"Hey,hey,hey! Bubs, calm down please. I-I'm sorry i-if I was that annoying like I just wanted to spend time-"

Shaking your head no, you just grabbed her waist and drowned yourself on her chest. Feeling confused, she just let you do what you wanted and instead rubbed your back and hair softly. She wouldn't really understand the pressure of the fans, she did have them too but none of them pressured for albums after all.

Feeling lost at not knowing how to cheer you up, she tried to get you sit up but what you said with a groan made her burst out laughing.

"Don't you dare move me from my heaven, bitch... I could fight still."

"Okay, okay I get it! You love my boobs but we need to cheer you up! And you feel bad for not finding good lyrics? Well, someone who's angry cannot think well!"

Taking you between her arms like a baby, she walked to your kitchen and put you down on the chair with a kiss to your head. Smiling at her, you pulled her arm down and pecked her lips happily. Never in your life did you think you'd be at where you are right now.

With a caring girlfriend who was just as adamant on making you happy as you were, with supportive fans and friends...

Your little self would be dancing on her room while giving a fake concert to her stuffies.

Watching Maya carefully pick what she needed to cook your favorite meal, you played with your fingers that were slightly peeking from your oversized sweat while checking her from time to time. You felt guilty since she had to do most of the job while you just sat down and watched. You were worried if you were a burden to her, your mind being a scary place right now...

But it couldn't be far away from the truth. Maya was just so happy that she was able to take care of you once. She always imagined to cook happily with her lover, even if she looked tough on the outside. It was such a domesticity that she was melting inside with a fluttering heart. She hummed one of your songs happily, feeling content after such a long week of dealing with her work and ex while explaining everything that happened to her father and mother. They were extremely happy and supportive of her, only wanting her to be happy and since his father knew you, he was going to tease you to hell and back as soon as he saw you.

She smirked at herself and how her life seemed full, she looked at the side when she sensed you coming to stand next to her. Giving you a small smile, she returned to cut the vegetables when she saw you fidget. Raising a brow at you, she literally became putty at your cuteness when you put your hand inside her pajama's pocket and grabbed it cutely.

"I want to keep company... and be close to you... if that's okay?"

You wouldn't have known that she would throw the knife at the counter and jump at you, make you fall down and bite your cheek.

"STOP BEING SO CUTE LIKE I CAN'T HANDLE IT ALL! YOUR TINY HAND'S IN MY TINY POCKET AND I-AAAA"

"CALM DOWN, MAYA, CALM DOWN! I NEED TO STAY ALIVE!"

And now, sitting in the table while she talked about what she had done with the cast, hands flying around to make you understand the importance of it, you got your muse back to finish what you had started.

Wanting to defend Rovickie in any capacity is a little tiring because it always has to come with the disclaimer that the ship is underwritten and Vickie herself is greatly underdeveloped, because, well, this assertion is true. Rovickie is so poorly developed that Maya Hawke herself said she would have rather Robin’s story just stick to being about friendship and the majority of the fanbase ship Robin with someone she isn’t going to be wuth, and I can’t even blame any of them because of how poorly handled her actual love interest was.

But at the same I kinda can’t help but root for them despite their mismanagement. I like the energy Amybeth McNulty brought to Vickie despite her writing, and I also like the idea of Robin’s “dream girl” that she can barely talk to being a band nerd as awkward as she is. (yes Vickie being a copy of Robin is an issue, but at the same time I like the idea of similar people gravitating toward each other 🤷🏼‍♀️)

I remember reading a post that the Duffers kinda shot themselves in the foot with Vickie. There doesn’t seem to be a way to develop her without shifting attention away from someone else, but now that she’s here, it would be bad if they didn’t give her any development at all. This show has a problem with introducing more characters than it can carry and failing to give development to some of its OGs. Robin herself being one of these characters. Is Vickie a character that can only be remedied by going back in time and remedying writing mistakes of the past? (btw I’m not saying that Robin shouldn’t be on the show, but the show needed serious structural remodeling in season 3 in order to balance all of these characters, and it’s hard to imagine if it’ll be handeled well in season 5)

Earlier in this post you might have noticed that I threw a jab at the other Robin ship, which I have expressed my feelings on before. I don’t want to spend too much time dissing them here because I do understand that sapphic ships often get unnecessary hate for sheer fact that they are sapphic.

So I’ll just be point blank: I don’t think ronance is going to happen. I don’t think Nancy is queer, I don’t think that their interactions are romantic, but hey if you wanna read it that way more power to you. If the fanbase is far more into a ship that won’t happen more than the ship that is supposed to be intended to happen then this is a pitfall of the writers. And like I said before, I understand why people prefer ronance considering that rovickie is so poorly developed. They would rather Robin’s love interest be someone that she had more development with.

But I also wouldn’t want ronance to happen because I think it would be shitty to introduce a queer character to be a love interest and then completely give her the shaft. But at the same time Vickie’s writing is already shitty because of her poor development.

Sometimes you see people (milevens) on twitter saying that byler shippers don’t care wlw ships, and this isn’t an argument even worth appealing to because they are just saying this in good faith, they are saying this just to push buttons. Sometimes when an audience doesn’t engage with a sapphic ship the responsibility is placed solely onto the audience, and not the creators who have failed the sapphic ships of the show. (I’m not saying that people who ship ronance ship it for this reason, but I am saying that I don’t want to ship a wlw ship for the purpose proving that I support wlw ships)

So I guess I actually mourn Rovickie. It’s not dead, but it’s not as good as it could have been and it probably won’t be. There’s the slightest chance of the Duff’s proving me wrong, so maybe I’ll hold on to that tiny sliver of hope.

Lol I knew somehow when I put on my Stranger Things sweatshirt today that I would get this ask lol. Super fun question, thanks for asking! I love talking about any of my other fandoms. I've been pretty involved in the Stranger Things fandom from the jump, I liveblog every new season which you guys do not have to worry about for a while but you can totally backread my ST tags (melissa liveblogs st and melissa on stranger things) for my content or feel free to blacklist if you don't want to see it. I was also active in a few discords for Stranger Things and It, so if you were in any of those you might've seen me around. Met some great people, a few of which are still active on here @sorenserotonin and @milfnightshade loyal mutuals 🫡 who I always appreciate. I'll tag them in case they feel like returning to discussing Stranger Things with me like old times lol.

As for byler and mileven, I don't have super strong opinions. The two mutuals I tagged are both byler shippers (actually I forget if Deidre is, I'm pretty sure). EDIT: DEIDRE IS NOT! I personally have always been into mileven, they were the heart of the first season to me in a way that's really unmatched. The following seasons they have had their really moving moments, particularly for me the third season, but never the same spark as that first season. I do think they are endgame though, because that's just the path the show is on. I don't think the narrative makes sense without them, and wether that is effective writing is a whole separate post. That being said, I will always always never have beef with an lgbtq ship in any fandom, unless it's with a very unhealthy character and I think the ship is straight up abusive. Fandom is a largely queer space because we create the content we lack. That's important and should be respected regardless of ship wars (and I'm a person that gets into those lol). I have a dear friend who will ship anything as long as it's two women, even if they never interacted. I've never understood this. I want the writing to be strong and the relationship to be healthy. But I understand why she feels the way she feels and I'd never judge her, that's what fandom is for.

Some other Stranger Things opinions; I think the writing really has suffered since the first season. It is still a great show, but they struggle with consistency in their characters which is a huge issue for me. They also cave to fandom, which is another huge pet peeve of mine.

I also think Billy Hargrove is one of the most damaging popular characters in a long time, in terms of fandom and the impact on culture. I might just be biased however, I'm on some Billy fans blocklists.

This season was the best one by far since the first. I know that's a hot take, but I think it's true.

Max and Lucas were the only characters who were effectively developed and utilized this past season, which was a breath of fresh air for them to not waste Caleb McLaughlin again.

I do not like Jonathan Byers, but that being said the time for stancy has long come and gone and returning to it is insane.

Oh, final take, we've been giving the Duffers far too much credit for Robin as a character when a lot of it should go to fav nepotism baby Maya Hawke.

Dual Destinies: Cleared.

So... I feel like I should give some closing remarks here. Alright, how about we do it case-by-case? Only seems fitting!

Case 5-1: What a muddled start... the best way I can describe this is that it plants some interesting seeds that bear some of the story's sweetest fruits in very poor and smelly soil. Any problems you have with DD are going to be the most apparent and frustrating right out the gate and it is NOT shy about showing it's worst traits here. That being said, Ted Tonate is one of my favourite characters. I can't knock the man!

Case 5-2: Tantilising introduction to Simon Blackquill and Bobby Fulbright. Apollo and Athena hit off just fine with enough differences from Nick and Maya's dynamic to get me on-board. Damien and Jinxie Tenma are alright, the former being hilarious and the latter being a good neurodivergent nugget of a character. Still mad they had such good Apollo and Trucy moments from the start only to ditch her.

Case 5-DLC: Best case in the game. Or at least the one with the least blemishes. The Aquarium characters? Great. Athena and Nick's dynamic? Love it. Simon and Bobby? Hilarious. The culprit? One of the best in the series! DePlume's treatment by the writers and Nick's badge are my main grumbles, and I do wish they dug a little more into the latter's doubts about getting his old job back. Furthermore, Apollo suffered.

Case 5-3: Aristotle Means, you are THIS CLOSE to getting detention, mister! Athena and Simon's dynamic, along with the Themis quadro, CARRY this segment. Nick's at his most fun here as a mentor navigating a troubled student. But Means... good god, does he come close to ruining this case. And poor Klavier, he really deserved more than this... at least the parts that are most important get by well enough to earn this case a gold star! We uh, don't talk about Robin Newman's testimony...

Case 5-4: More of a prelude than a full-on case, but man does it push your buttons in the right ways. Athena, Apollo, Simon, and Bobby are all nudged in directions that are so uncomfortable for each character and they are all the better for it. The GYAXA staff range from noble and sympathetic to pompous to the point of unironic enjoyment. And Aura Blackquill. Who scares me. A lot.

Case 5-5: SO CLOSE to being the best of the best! For everything it pays off with aplomb and catharsis, it takes a step or two back with a decision that makes me groan in annoyance. The former does outweigh the latter in most cases, however. The only parts it doesn't are probably Trucy and... the final culprit. I'll talk about them in more detail another time, but in brief: fun and unsettling at first, kind of loses a lot of steam near the end. That last reveal of his took a lot of wind out of my sails and not in a good way.

Overall then? It's a slow-roller with plenty of bumps in the road. Those bumps get less noticable when it gets up and going, and BOY does it go, though they are still present. Thankfully, I don't think they completely ruin the most important bits. It's just frustrating that said issues don't have to exist, but do for stupid reasons only a CAPCOM business executive would gel with.

A major theme of the game is trust, the effects of suspicion run rampant, and how a healthy balance of both are necessary to build strong connections and fight that which threatens to break said trust.

What is faith without doubt? Blind. Foolish. Naive. The reason why the main villain almost got away with it all.

And in the end, while it's so drilled into my head, the ends truly did justify the means.

In any case, I'm ready to hand down my verdict.

I hereby declare Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies...

GUILTY

...but I believe it has a lot more to offer than criticism would let on. There's no reason it can't be seen as one of Ace Attorney's best if given a thoughtful revision.

I'm very glad to know you, strange 3D lawyer game. I'll be here a long while still!

Summary: It’s the second day of many for season 4 interviews

Warnings: cute interactions

A/N: For this I’ll be using my OFC in Trouble in Hawkins for this OFC to play her.

Last: Interviews Day 1 | Next: Adorable habit

"Well we don't match today." Joseph smiles as he sees me walk over to the table to get a drink and snack on the mini donuts. "I would lose my mind if we matched today because if you dressed like me..." I start to laugh. "Just keep dressing like you know I would never." He eyes my outfit. "Got it." I nod my head and head over to my seat. "Just gonna keep eating while we start, huh?" I giggle at Maya. "I'm starving so, yes." She says before we all get ready.

Joe was first asked a question followed by Joseph, then me. "Presley, what obstacles does Skylar face this season and was there any difficult scenes for you?" The girl asks me. "This season Skylar has some trauma and relationships problems. I'd say there's two scenes that were difficult for me. Without giving away too much, one there was multiple sets for literally one scene with just me and one other person so it took a long time, and another scene was slightly a physical struggle because of weight." I say making Joseph slightly chuckle behind me because he knew what I was talking about. "You calling me fat?" Joseph asks as we move onto the next person. "I didn't say that. You're putting words into my mouth." I turn around pointing my finger at him.

The guy asks Natalia about being back with the whole pandemic thing. Joe gets asked about Steve and Dustin because fans love them. He explains that yes but Eddie's also there so Steve and Dustin are at ends at time. "Don't forget about me." I put my finger up. "Yeah, Skylar there's too but like with Dustin there's Eddie there for her too." He adds. Maya gets asked about how stranger things changed her life while Joseph gets asked what can fans expect from him. "Presley, seeing from the trailer and what Joe said, What can we expect from Skylar and Eddie? Is there another Billy and Steve situation going on?" He asks me. "Umm... for starters Eddie and Skylar are best friends this season. He's there for her while she goes through things while Steve isn't. So I wouldn't say it's another Billy and Steve situation, but to some people could say that it is though."

The next guy asks what of our characters features do we miss or enjoy playing. Maya talks about how Robin and Steve are very supportive this season. Joe didn't think about his character but Maya's. He then asks if we ever tried learned D&D during the seasons. "It's very complicated. It's seemed really cool to get into, sit you just really have to sit down." Natalia explains. "Yeah, I tried learning to play and it's fun to be apart of but there's just so much. And sometimes the planning and yeah... it's just not for me. Joe, you love D&D right?" I look back at Joseph and he makes a face doing his tongue thing I found adorable. "I can't believe you're owning up to that. I can't believe you." Maya tells him so he explains him playing for the first time.

The four of them get to take a break before we do the theory video but I had to go do my friendship test with Sadie. "Ahhh!" Sadie points at my outfit and I see today I sorta match with her. "Oh my god!" I laugh walking over to her. "We're so gonna pass this test now." She gives me a hug. "I hope we do but then again we're sorta going against Millie and Noah." I shake my head because they were best friends and basically a chaotic brother and sister duo. "We so got this. We're basically sisters." She says before we start.

"I'm Presley." I smile then look at Sadie and she introduces herself. "And we're doing a friendship test." I start. "And Noah and Millie will also be completing a friendship test so we will see who's really best friends." Sadie smiles. "Like you said, we got this." I nudged her with a smile. First we had to mimic a hidden talent. "You have so many though... Oh, she has the ability to pick up languages fast. She also can name what language it is when she hears it." Sadie snaps her fingers at me. "I don't consider that a hidden talent but okay. For you there are so many too. You can sing but that's not a hidden talent because everyone knows that... Ugh." I try to think of one. "Can being an incredible spy player be an answer?" I give her a look. "That's my hidden talent." She agrees. "She always wins it's ridiculous."

"Trust falls? I trust you but can you catch me? I'm bigger than you. Let me take my shoes off." I laugh. "I'll catch you don't worry. I'll go first because I completely trust you. I'd trust you with my life." She gets ready to fall back. "Okay. Whenever you're ready." I let her know ready to catch her. "Told you I trust her." Sadie smiles at the cameras. "So you trust her?" The producer asks me. "Of course I do, but if I go down... I know she's going down too." We laugh. "You ready?" She asks me. "I promise we both won't go down." She makes me lean back and she gets me. "Told you." She hugs my waist as I laugh.

Next we had to compliment each other with emojis. "Okay, there's a smiling face with hearts, the upside down smiley face, purple heart, the shh face, and a fox." Sadie sees what I sent her. "It's because you're such a lovable person, you can be serious and funny when needed, you're someone I trust with secrets, the heart because I love you and you know that's the only color I use, and your foxy." I explain them to her. "Okay, I got music notes, halo smiley face, heart, an alien, and birthday" I smile at mine. "I fall in love with your voice when you sing, you're such a sweet person and anyone can talk to, I love you, you're a bit out there at times when you open up to people, and fun to be around." She smiles so I hug her.

Next was rapid fire questions so stretch my arms making her laugh at me. "What is you friends favorite snack on set?" We're asked. "Oh, the seaweed crackers." I point my finger at her. "I do and you always have a bag of munches near you." We high five each other. "Biggest pet peeve... People eating with their mouths open and loud." I make her nod her head. "I can't choose one because there's so many. People in general." She laughs, "Like walking too slow, attitudes, singing songs when you don't know the lyrics, using words the wrong way." She starts a list. "Yeah, just people." I laugh.

Next was what each other's zodiac sign was, "Oh my god it's either Libra or Scorpio..." Sadie looks at me confused. "Well I at least know you're an Aries. Wow, Sadie.." I cross my arms. "My mind went blank..." She pouts. "Scorpio but I don't feel like one when I read things I go, no no no that's not me." I explain answering her. "She's a morning person." I roll my eyes. "And she's a night person." Sadie laughs. "Our sleepovers are terrible. She crashes about at 11 at night." I look at her. "I don't see how you can stay up till 3am or even longer sometimes." She shakes her head at me.

"I knew we were gonna do well." Sadie hugs me. "I was nervous because it was Noah and Millie but then again we're like sister." I hug her back. "Thank you for testing our friendship glamour. We'll see you next time." We tell the camera before we end it. "What do you have next?" She asks me. "Stranger Things Fan Theories with the Joe's, Natalia, and Maya." I pop my neck. "Remember how you said I'm someone you trust with secrets..." She follows me as we walk off. "Yeah?" I look at her confused. "Why haven't you told me you have a crush on a new cast member?" She gives me a little smile with a wink. "I don't know what you're talking about." I laugh at her. "Come on, Presley... I know that look. Season two with someone that played my brother. Remember I was the only one who knew you two secretly dated while we filmed the whole season..."

"Shut up before someone hears you. We were secret for a reason." I slap her arm. "Even though I know, I still want you to tell me." She grabs onto my arm. "I don't have a crush on Joseph. If that's what you think." I glare at her. "I don't think, I know." She glares back at me. "I gotta go." I leave her. "I know the truth!" She yells as I leave the room going to the other four for the next thing I have to be apart of. "It's nice for you to join us again." Joe smiles as they stand and sit around. "Thank you for letting me come back." I smile at him. "How'd it go?" Joseph asks as I go sit next to him. "I think we did better than Millie and Noah. Sadie got one question wrong in rapid fire. It was about my zodiac sign." I let him know. "You're a Scorpio." He says making me look at him shocked, "I never told you what I was though." I eye him. "But I remember your birthday so I know what your sign is." He makes me smile.

"Excuse me." Joe forces himself to sit between Joseph and I on the couch so I give him a look, "Us men stick together." He makes me laugh as the girls take their set on the other side of me. "We barely fit." Maya says as we try to not squish each other on the couch. As we start we all introduce ourselves. "PaulDePaola theory is; The whole show is just an elaborate D&D game. The kids are actually all grown up and fantasizing about their imagined childhood nightmares. Love this theory." Joe reads it off and we talk about it before Joseph goes next and doesn't know how to pronounce the name making us laugh. "Aydnalgl theory is, Eleven will end up being the villain, whether of her own accord or under the control of the Mind Flayer. I'd say this is the most feasible theory." Joseph tells us. "That could easily happen." I agree.

"Animestrangerthings theory is; I'm probably going to get negative comments, but I'm going to list off facts as to why I think Robin is a Russian spy." Joseph reads another one. "I guess I learn Russian alarmingly quickly. Appear from nowhere... I like the idea." Maya nods her head. "Snoo-22937 theory is, Wow I've been so focused on the chest hair, I never realized that Steve was wearing Eddie's jacket in the sequence. Maybe this could mean Eddie could have sadly died and Steve wears his jacket as a memorial sort of thing, just a theory." Joe reads. "For one it's a vest." I add. "Yes, a very metal Dio vest." Joe agrees. "Yeah, you do have a distracting chest though." Joseph says making me laugh. "Yep, I had to wax it for season whatever." Joe agrees. "Season two because you had to be shirtless in the showers with Billy and Tommy H." I let him know as Natalia takes the theory's now.

"Mas Sonia theory is, If you notice in every season there is a death of a character that starts with the letter B: Benny, Barbara, Bob, Billy. The only character remaining is Becky. Also, we had some scenes with her mom and Kali the girl with the 008 tattoo but the story is not completed I think." She reads as they talk I stretch my arms behind Maya and Joe. I accidentally hits Joseph shoulder making him smile while I apologize. "ShayWolfie; I feel like it's possible that Nancy might die saving Robin's life. They're going to be together and paired up for the entire season. Robin was once Barbs best friend too so I'm sure they're gonna bond over that." Maya reads then explains the book.

"This is from Twitter. Crysteries theory is, Max gets powers and becomes an avatar sort of person for the Mind Flayer. I don't know." I read and give my thoughts. "No one's gotten powers." Maya adds. "RachelLeishman theory is, Alexei is also still alive with Hopper cause Alexei deserved better." Natalia reads and we all agree. "itslunacassidy theory is, so my first theory is I definitely have a feeling a major character (or 2) is going to die this season. My list is Steve, Dustin, Skylar, Nancy or Max." Natalia reads the next one. "I'm order of preference or?" Joseph asks making me glare at him. "Rude." I let him know. "StrangerEmmie theory is, could there be some elements of time travel next season? There was several hints of this last season. Including the obvious Back to the Future reference." Maya reads the next one.

"CookieCutterButter theory is, Skylar and Steve break up because he's still in love with Nancy. Now Skylar will get with Eddie but when she dies, Steve will realize she was the one all along." I read and we all start to laugh. "Man I see some people really want me to die. No but that's a theory alright." I nod my head. "Heather Anton's theory is The Upside Down is just another portal to Middle-Earth. Samwise has gone to return to Frodo, his one true love." Joseph reads. "I'd love that to be true." He adds and Maya was confused so we explain. "Look at this dude theory is Max is being possessed and that Eleven is going to get her powers back. Of course Steve might die only cause he's laying down in the season 4 trailer as if he was dead." Maya reads and we says it's strong.

Once we were done I walk over to Joseph, "When Vol 2 comes out fans will be saying Eddie deserve better." I let him know as we start getting ready to leave. "I don't think so." He says making me look at him. "Are you kidding me? Fans are going to fall in love with Eddie as soon as they see him/you." I place my hand on his shoulder. "You could be right." He thinks about it. "Not could, I will be right." I laugh. "I mean how can they not fall for the Joseph Quinn." I give him a smile.

You watched as Maya did the little monologue in Family Video about Robin's crush on Vicky, smiling softly. You were always so proud of her. Plus, she looked really good today and her lips just look so kissable.

“Okay, let’s take 5 and come back for the last few shots” the director said and you immediately ran to Maya, pulling her away and running to her trailer. You practically slammed her on the couch, kissing her passionately.

“Mm…hi, baby,” she chuckled and mumbled against your lips. You eventually pulled away for air and panted softly as you said “you are so…so damn hot,”

She bit her lip and pulled you closer, smashing her lips on yours again. You moaned softly into the kiss, feeling her up slightly. She wrapped her arms around your waist, and her legs around your hips like a damn koala.

You giggled through the kisses, lipstick all over each other's mouths and both of you are a mess now. You moved down to her neck and she gasped a little, blushing. You giggled and said “you got the giggles o-or something babe?”

“I just love you…so…freaking much. So pretty, Maya” you mumbled into her neck and she arched her back into you slightly, feeling you create a hickey on her sweet spot. She quickly remembered she was still at work and said “babe- babe, no hickeys! I’m still at work”

You rolled your eyes and kissed her again, straddling her hips. She giggled and brought one hand up to your hair, threading her fingers through it and caressing it softly.

“God, you’re so hot,” you mumbled against her lips and she blushed. She chuckled and said “you’re one to talk,” You giggled, hiding your head in her neck out of embarrassment.

“Maya! We need you back on set!” An assistant said as they knocked on the door. She gasped and you immediately got off. She jumped up and ran to the mirror, groaning as her lipstick was smeared and some was on her neck.

You chuckled and she said “just a minute!” You kissed her head, hugging her from behind. She sighed and you said “I couldn’t help it, you’re just so beautiful, babe” She rolled her eyes and blushed, shoving you lightly. You giggled and she smiled, looking at you through the mirror. You winked and she blushed twice as hard, shaking her head and looking away.

Aaaaaa thank u for coming in and asking abt it!!!! Reverse robin aus are one of my fave fandom specific concepts!!

Okay, so basic ground here, but my main reference points for divergence are the 4 male robins, just for linerization sake, and just because I’m most familiar with Tim he’ll prolly be the one that gets the most expansion, but i hope i can do this the way i prefer it to, which is w the most consideration i can towards canon changes affected while also letting each of them mostly keep their original arcs!!!!

- To start off i think it could be interesting to have Bruce work/train duke at the start, and the possibilities of how that would affect Bruce’s attitude towards metas in Gotham, and maybe give a little flavor to how it feels being a mentor to a kid that’s still mostly independent from him with his own family. How well this will actually be handled i still dont know.

- having Damian be the first kid he actually has to try and kind of parent right in the early bat years also come with a few considerations, i think. On one hand Bruce is definitely softer, maybe a bit more tempered having mentored before, and damian may be fresh off the league but since there’s no previous robins for him to need to fight his ‘birthright’ for, maybe there isn’t a need for any drastic measures. (I mean he’s definitely gonna fight duke on principle but i want them to gain the friendship they do in canon and since duke isn’t like, Bruce’s direct partner i think that can track.)

But then again they’re still them, and damian still has a lot of hangups on worth and legacies and is in the worst stages of blustered arrogance while bruce still doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings in effective ways and happens to have an eldest child that is equally as emotionally repressed so????? Maybe its still a really rocky road.

(I’d like for Damian to keep some of his friends here, mainly Colin and Maya to start with, maybe. I honestly dont know how likely it is for him to set up a teen hero group, but i think that’ll end up happening once he sheds his robin-equivalent mantle.

We’ll let him have his nomadic self-discovery journey i guess :/// something ala williamson’s robin maybe, but like, with his actual friends xjsbdhssbdbd we can even keep Bruce and Talia’s playing tug of war w him towards their respective ideals as a catalyst, and maybe its a bit cleaner without all the baggage of morrison’s interpretation of her.

Let’s put him at idk, 17/18 at this point.)

- One thing that i think definitely changes with having Damian in the first iteration of the dynamic duo is how the mythos is perceived. The kid is capable and ruthless and for awhile at the start, mostly cared more for animals than whoever they were saving. Definitely made rogues think twice to leverage him over batman, but probably mostly didn’t endear him much towards the ppl they encounter, though I’d like to believe that changed as he did. Though the extent of that change i need to think on lmao.

For Steph I think I’ll have her start a little before Tim’s robin-equivalent, staying as spoiler, right after Damian leaves so it goes a bit before anyone notices.

Tim’s start here might be a bit tricky to speak on logistics, he starts as a nightwing character and i mostly want to keep in spirit with that, so Damian’s got to be the fixation here. There’s not really a signature flip that could reliably be imprinted in Tim’s memory but maybe it can be simpler. Like idk a kind act at a gala during Damian’s early years that made tim take notice of him, of a verbal/physical tell that one day robin-equivalent gets caught doing, idk- but now we’re officially in Tim’s stalker era.

A recap on where the rest of the vigilantes are, i think duke is rlly nice w the outsiders i kinda want him there lol Damian’s just abt to start his shounen battle arc and steph is slowlinh appearing on Bruce’s radar but as like, a minor villain.

Something something Tim tries to find Damian, can’t seem to manage to, ends up going to the manor to ask, gets halted by alfred, somehow ends up spilling everything he knows to bruce, ????? Profit -> he gets the mantle.

(A bit clunky, a but out of nowhere, sure, but considering I’m p sure that bruce called jason ‘robin’ the moment he decided to bring him home u can gleam that the man misses having a sidekick :////)

Steph’s story is intertwined with Tim’s for better or worse, and while i like her better when she’s striking out on her own i think tim trying to prove himself before official training by like, capturing her would be a serviceable segue into Bruce training them both. Or try to at least. Steph resorts to her own resources, Tim’s parents get poisoned in Haiti.

And now with Tim and Bruce- a rocky start on the vigilante side bcs well, he may have played the mentor role before but Duke’s a meta, Damian was a ready-made assassin, and Steph, although neither, was still noticeably more athletic than Tim is, its not a big deal, but his initial benchmark was already kind of screwed (would love for tim to still end up getting unplanned training from shiva, somehow.)

But bcs of circumstances that are oh so v different than the one in canon bruce has the patience to teach him firm but kindly 👍 and since Jack is still in a coma (or maybe just kill him off fr ://) they can form a proper healthy-ish bond.

Tim’s tenure in canon is prolific but also threads through the groundwork that Dick’s run paved, and i honestly dont know how well that would’ve faired without him vouching for Tim, but it could be interesting to explore how the dynamic duo’s perception changes with a robin-equivalent that places heavy emphasis on cooperation and is definitely more approachable than the last one. I would v much like to keep that aspect of tim that knows everyone lmao

Also young justice running around without the teen titans as a precedent sounds like a hilarious concept.

We’ll say Damian finds out when Jon brings up that his little bro Kon is in a team w the new-bat partner?? I didn’t know u had a new one?? So ofc Damian storms Gotham demanding an explanation.

And see, while i definitely believe that Dami would’ve grown as a character the lack of a Dick Grayson influence makes me think that maybe he still wouldn’t be above attacking a kid in righteous anger :///// and like, he’s pissed at Bruce of course, that name wasn’t his to give, but maybe it’s all the more worse just bcs of how,,, Tim Tim is. Took his name and changed it’s association, came into his house and became his father’s partner lowkey son in aspects that never came easy to him, and has the audacity to greet him with a smile????

Oh yeah Damian definitely hates Tim. Needlessly cruel abt the one definite edge he has over the kid. And like, poor tim :/// never meet ur heroes in any timeline i g.

But anyway!! Dami might move to Bludhaven, might be somewhere else or other, definitely not anywhere near Tim if he can help it. He should be there for all those big events though, although I’m not sure which ones to keep in. Maybe Tim and Steph can coordinate for No Man’s Land. Then enter Cass, who’s also gonna be in contact mostly w those two.

This is getting soooooo long but like, then Tim dies, because he has to. We’ll pull it to be a Joker Jr. situation and give everyone that good good character development. And then there’s Jason.

- The logistics for Jason becoming robin-equivalent is also real tricky, there’s definitely the factor of making bruce laugh via attempted robbery, but i think the actual nudging can be helped along by Steph, as like, a fellow crime alley kid, idk.

But well, Jason’s time in the mantle- unfortunately he yet again can’t escape the giant shoes of his predecessor, but al least now he has a full support system in the others. And so does Bruce, this time around. It’d be nice to keep that happy status quo for long.

Enter- ‘Tim wasn’t actually dead but take a guess on who wanted it to look like that so he can take him away.’ Anyways, you know the drill. Ra’s would definitely leverage his remolding of Tim against Bruce, but he wouldn’t send him back, probably. Tim’s at a low enough point to likely agree.

Maybe Tim also didn’t come out the pit right though, maybe his brains still fractured. He doesn’t come out the way ra’s wanted and although he kept trying, one day he could’ve decided to just throw tim back to gotham like a defective toy.

Should we give Tim a villain arc? It could be done, but it’ll always be rooted in duty and the belief of serving the greater good. If he does take it up it wouldn’t involve getting in trouble with the bats, or telling them hes back- unless of course, that serves a goal, but even if tim is jealous and resentful of jason getting things like damians approval and official adoption status his self-worth issues are more,,, the internalizing kind. The ‘batman needs a robin’ ethos stays true and nothing would be gained from hurting him.

A vague idea for Tim’s comeback schtick could be operating in plain sight as Drake Industry heir. Since there’s a vacuum of any oracle position he could also dabble around in that. Maybe as loose as his morals would be its still in the service of keeping batman and robin the symbols they are idk!!!!!

- All said and done we can have Dick as proper robin, coming into the house heartbroken and angry and looking for justice and like, early resonance with Damian and idk sometime after we do Batman RIP.

(But before that we get Jason’s sheila arc maybe, he’ll survive. We could potentially pull a Tim and have his friends die on him back to back to back but idk!!!! This might be getting too bloated!!!!)

On the romance side ty for letting me choose my ideal reverse robin au is probably a damitim LOL its the genuine hatred turned remorse,,,, the obsessive affection turned cold indifference,,,, the care of it all,,,,,

V easy to turn it into a jaytim too though, the lack of murder attempts probably also make it smoother snsnsnsbdbdbd good luck trying to convince baby jay that he’s in that league though lol (the annoying little brother to lovers that could be employed here is rlly cute tho,,,, regardless of anything id def want there to be crushing)

OOF OKAY THIS WAS REALLY LONG!!!!! IM SORRY!!!! I’ve always wanted to tackle this eventually but I haven’t finished my reading lists enough to confidently make timeline decisions djsnsnsns i hope this still read clearly, tysm again for coming in!!!
