On international women's day let me introduce you to some of the victims of ''Isr@el''

1. Shireen Abu Akluh

On 11th of May 2022 around 6:30 the prominent American Palestinian Journalist was killed by Isr@eli snipers; they also attacked her funeral.

The shaky video, filmed by Al Jazeera cameraman Majdi Banura, captures the scene when Abu Akleh, a 51-year-old Palestinian-American was killed by a bullet to the head at around 6:30 a.m. on May 11.

She had been standing with a group of journalists near the entrance of Jenin refugee camp, where they had come to cover an Israeli raid.

While the footage does not show Abu Akleh being shot, eyewitnesses told CNN that they believe Isr@eli forces on the same street fired deliberately on the reporters in a targeted attack.

All of the journalists were wearing protective blue vests that identified them as members of the news media. ​

2.Farah Omar

A Lebanese correspondent of Al-Mayadeen TV, was killed by an Isr@eli strike on Tayr Harfa, south Lebanon, on November 21, 2023, according to Al-Mayadeen.

4. Heba Sami

Dr. Heba Sami Al-Jourani who was known for her intelligence and determination lived elsewhere she could have been working in a very important hospital as a physicians to help those people who were wounded in wars and accidents, But unfortunately Heba had to put her dreams aside and stand face to face with death.

Heba’s family home in Rafah was targeted by Isr@eli warplane, minutes ago before she lost her life, Heba was sending messages and checking telegram groups to know where is the bombing she’s hearing, unfortunately that was her last scene,

5. Walaa Saadah

A passionate filmmaker, writer, and blogger normally work day and night, travel, sometimes receiving awards but not if its a Palestinian woman in lives in Gaza and that’s the story of "Walaa Saadah, who was born in Beit Hanoun, Northern Gaza, in 1990.

Walaa since 2010, with too much passion worked in cinema and filmmaking, starting as a screenplay writer, she also worked in civil society organizations as a coordinator who directed several films that shed light on the suffering of the people of Gaza to the world.

Walaa was killed on March 2, 2024, in an Isr@eli airstrike on displaced people in Deir al-Balah city. walaa dream ended before having any chance to raise and shine as prominent filmmaker

6. Asmaa Hamdan

Asma a beloved 22-year-old, brought joy with her infectious smile. In high school, she was the heart of our large group. After a beautiful love story, she married Shadi and welcomed Sham, the light of her life. As an engineer, she graduated days before war disrupted everything.

Despite the hardships, Asmaa's resilience inspired us. Tragically, on December 25th, Asmaa and her daughter Sham were martyred in a massacre caused by Isr@eli occupation rockets, which claimed the lives of 100 martyrs in Al-Maghazi refugee camp, leaving behind a painful void.

7. Nagham Abu Samra

Nagham Abu Samra, 24 years old, was a professional karate player before Isr@el deprived her of that. She suffered from a critical head injury, and her leg was amputated after her home in Gaza was bombed by Isr@el.

Her uncle was pleading with the world to intervene and help Nagham travel abroad for treatment, but no one responded. Nagham was martyred, succumbing to her injuries from the Israeli bombing on January 12, 2023.

8. Talal Baalusha

A high school student, creative in traditional dance (dabke), and a member of the "Asayel Watan" group She also owned a clothing store.

She bid farewell to her family after they were martyred, then others mourned her.

She was martyred with her mother.

9. Hind Rajab

After she appealed to the world for help to save her, 12 days passed without communication.

On the 10th of February, the body of the martyr, the child Hind Rajab, and 5 members of her family were found.

Her Grandfather said: “We found the body of Hind and the rest of the family decomposed”.

10. Ayat Khadoura

Ayat, a Palestinian freelance journalist and podcast presenter, was killed along with an unknown number of family members in an Isr@eli airstrike on her home in Beit Lahya in northern Gaza, according to the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, the news website Arabi 21, and London-based Al-Ghad TV.

Ayat shared videos on social media about the situation in Gaza, including a November 6 video, which she called “my last message to the world” where she said, “We had big dreams but our dream now is to be killed in one piece so they know who we are.”

Ayat was killed on November 20, 2023, at the hands of the Isr@eli occupation.

They aren't just numbers.

The UNRWA said 9.000 women where killed in this genocide.

Your feminism is trash if you aren't speak up for the women of Gaza, who are using pieces of tends as sanitary pads.

Today marks 6 years since a man who had openly expressed such violent desires took 17 innocent lives in Parkland, FL, just 20 minutes from my home. I know some of the survivors because of my own history having been at Pulse. My wife knew one of the victims because she grew up right here. He used to teach at her school when she was in high school, and died a hero trying to save lives.

Today marks the last anniversary before that building is torn down and gone forever. I imagine there are mixed feelings about this in the community, as the debate regarding the future of the site of the Pulse shooting continues. I myself was once of the mindset that it should stay, but no longer feel this way. It has been long enough; sooner or later we must move forward.

I know that today is a holiday, but I ask that you spare a minute or two today to look into causes like Change the Ref, and donate if you can.

"I have just completed a trip to the Rafah crossing with @Europarl_EN colleagues from @RenewEurope - the first Parliamentary delegation to secure access to the area. The purpose of the visit was to see first hand the international humanitarian effort that is underway and the difficulties that are being faced with getting the aid into Gaza. On the way there we passed hundreds of trucks, for as far as the eye could see, carrying basic humanitarian supplies, all being held up and waiting to cross into Gaza. Everything that goes across has to be cleared by the Israeli government who have listed thousands of items, such as solar panels, water tubes and batteries, as being 'dual use' i.e capable of military use. Both @eu_echo & @Irish_Aid are very much present and waiting to cross. I saw a number of trucks with family tents donated by the Irish Government at a logistics hub near Rafah. The tent poles are removed as they are on the 'Dual list' and are deemed capable of military operation. I expected the crossing itself to be chaotic however it was weirdly quiet - which is worrying. What should be a bustling humanitarian hub with non-stop traffic and activity, consisted only of the occasional truck getting through - one passed through in the hour we were there. At the border, people we spoke to said that our visit and the fact that IDF know about it means that no bombing would occur until we had left. When the president of the @ICRC visited recently - bombing resumed 30 mins after the visit ended. Bombings, gunfire & drone activity is a daily reality for people who are working at the Rafah crossing. People who are helping evacuate the wounded, the sick and dual nationals wishing to leave are in danger every day. Humanitarian access is a basic requirement for any conflict. It is truly astonishing to think that Rafah is the only crossing point. There would be more truck movements at a busy supermarket in Ireland and yet, behind the gates at Rafah, 2.3 million people are suffering for want of food, water, medicine & fuel. I have no doubt that Israel has made the strategic decision to deliberately frustrate the international humanitarian effort. I will be on @thisweekrte after 1pm to discuss this."

For a, like, feminist analysis of the song…look, I’ll fully admit to being a giant hypocrite and super biased because I love Sloan and have hung out with all the guys before/after shows for the past 10 or so years I’ve been seeing them live. I’ve been listening to them since I was like 11. I fucking love this stupid band. I have a lot of good memories associated with them. One of my best friends who passed away loved the band too, so they’re just really special to me. 

That said, is the song misogynist? Yeah, women aren’t, like, objects for men to fight over. Men acting like they’re the victims of their own actions are gross. It’s about the time in 2002 when Chris was dating the singer Leslie Feist at the same time she was dating another guy named Andrew from a different band and how pretty much everyone except Andrew knew about it.

It also talks about how Leslie didn’t know there were rumors (“He's going to find out that the rumours are true, though they are still unbeknownst to you. He'll find out, so I'll tell you because, you gotta find out before he does.”) which is something he seems…proud of? Idk, I’ve never liked that part of the song. Well, the part of the song is fun to sing lol, but I never liked those lyrics because it just feels like a man flexing his power over a woman, getting off on her not knowing everyone knows her secret. It’s gross.

Chris has never been creepy or weird or misogynistic to me or anyone I know in the years I’ve known him, and he’s had multiple opportunities to take advantage of my friends and I, especially at the shows I go to alone. Do NOT report to tumblr, because they’ll just delete the blog and do nothing else. If they’re adults, report to the feds. If they’re minors, report to the Center For Missing and Exploited Children. I’ve called the The Center a few times to report tumblr pages full of child porn. They’re incredible people who genuinely care about what they’re doing. You just call them up and give them the name of the blog you wanna report, and they write down all the info. I’ve called them in tears after seeing really awful CP blogs of little girls, and the women on the other end of the phone have always been literal angels. They calmed me down gently, thanked me for reporting, and swore to me they’ll do what they can to stop the person behind the blog and hopefully even get the girls to safety. They will also tell you if someone else has already reported the blog to them, which is really comforting because you know for sure they’re keeping close track of everything. Their number is on their site. They’re seriously incredible❤️

I do feel the need to add that they are a US foundation, however the blogs that I’ve reported to them have never been definitively from any one country, and I do know someone from the UK who has reported a blog to them. I don’t want to speak for the Center so please just call them and ask any questions you have- again, they are so great, and every single person I’ve spoken to from there has been nothing but kind and understanding.

i was wondering if you could help me spread awareness in reporting these blogs - onlyrealcandidjiggle, curvdetective17, kingcowboy2023bk, candyfamily - it's creeper cam blogs that are secretly filming women and some of them are even selling folders(!!) of hidden camera videos they took from bathrooms or changing rooms. i've been reporting these kinds of blogs for months now but i can never get a response from staff and most of these blogs are still up and there's literally hundreds of these kinds of blogs posting and selling videos 🤢

i wanted to check one to make sure it’s what u said it was and its absolutely vile. these men are following women for long periods of time & taking pics of them, theres even several videos of this guy following a woman for several minutes and putting his phone right by her butt. its clear some of these women noticed and probably had no idea what to do. its not just one blog, if u go onto one u find like dozens of others. i hope they get caught and go to jail bc what the fuck this is such a disturbing violation. i’m so disgusted
