I really like to headcanon that Lelouch's Mother is Japanese for a couple reasons, but I think it's mainly because I love the idea of Lelouch knowing he is passing and that he could live peacefully one day or even now, without anyone thinking anything of it. But there's this deep-seated discomfort that he can't shake of knowing that he is complicit in his own people's sufferage - Like his mother ultimately decided to do, despite him not knowing that aspect. So, yes he wants revenge against his father for what happened to his mother, but it also bleeds into the realization that his father never cared because he, his mother, and Nunnally are lesser to his father. Something that only fuels his need to cumble the system around him.

I think everyone in the CG fandom are aware of the real world reflections and political references in the series, but it's only until after I finish watching Akito that the sheer heaviness of everything hits me because it was solely politics and Geass. I love the slice of life tidbits that are provided with Lelouch, but somehow I can't take Suzaku seriously even though he's the Knight of Seven and all. But his power and authority as a Rounds is made exceedingly clear in the movies - travelling in the imperial transport, kicking a Euro-Britannian official in the face without hesitation when they wanted to remove Kingsley from power etc.

Also you can't convince me that Ashley's subordinates don't simp for him. Look at them. A group of misfits gathered together, and despite his temper he never mistreats them. I love him <3

(HCs for any character in the movies of your choice?)

In all honesty, Anon, I've tackled all five Akito the Exiled movies in a row, more than once, and I still can't explain them if my life depended on it. But making this post reminded me how overwhelmingly deep the movies are, so I might give them a rewatch!

That, however, doesn't stop me from being bewildered by the complexity of the geassverse. Although it's the main story, Lelouch of the Rebellion doesn't seem half as intricate as Akito the Exiled is. Quite a shame that people skip over Akito because it has a different protagonist, even worse when people deem it "worth watching" only for the few minutes of Lelouch and Suzaku.

I also find the cast of Akito the Exiled quite likeable, and I don't think it's easy to find a cast as unique. The personalities, attitudes, relationships, even designs are very distinctive. Even side characters, like Ashley. Love that guy.

Now, let's dig in:

Although I am not fond of them being used as an "excuse for the movies to be good", I must admit that the Julius/Lelouch and Suzaku scenes are in fact brilliant. We got to see sides of them that weren't shown in Lelouch of the Rebellion, such as the cases you've mentioned about Suzaku exercising his authority. Also, since the movies take place between R1 and R2, we get to see more of Suzaku in his fresh rage, which we didn't see in R2 due to the timeskip.

And Julius Kingsley is a most chilling character. It's awesome how Sunrise managed to make Julius his own character while simultaneously making Lelouch's character shine through, to the point that it is easily noticed by Shin. And, as expected, Julius' plans are just as intricate as Lelouch's, which, again, makes it a shame that people skip over this movie when the writing shows as much effort as that of Lelouch of the Rebellion does.

(Give him the damn water though, Suzaku.)

Now, a favourite topic of mine: Ashley Ashra.

Ashley was one of the characters that stood out the most for me. You just know Sunrise kept him in Akito the Exiled for a reason; had he been featured in Lelouch of the Rebellion, he would have had a crazy load of fans.

He's one of the most complex characters I've come across in the franchise (or that may be because I don't understand every bit of the movies yet.) Him not caring for his life but going blind in rage when one of his subordinates is in danger makes him one hell of a character.

Also? Such a sick design!

Since Ashley is a character you've shown interest to, here are some thing I've brainstormed about him:

Remembers every birthday of his subordinates and gets them loads of gifts

Insists that he has high tolerance for spicy food but he actually doesn't and only finishes his food out of spite/he thinks he will look 'weak' if he doesn't

Has a whole drawer of accessories but hides it like a grave secret

Very very very superstitious

A huge literature nerd but will not admit it at gunpoint. If one of his subordinates shows an interest in a particular work, though, he will immediately whip out an entire discussion and list of facts just to discuss it with them

Speaks several languages and helps his subordinates if they need help in any one

His sleep schedule is nonexistent

I might do a series of headcanons for other characters in the future! Probably a fresh take when I rewatch the movies💜.

Ichigo falls asleep on the couch first, Rukia doesn't notice he's asleep right away, until she wants to get a snack or something and suddenly he won't budge.

Hinata talks in her sleep, Naruto found out one night and thought she was talking to him then realized her sleep talk is utter nonsense but he'll agree with her anyway

Blake teaches herself the inner workings of Yang's arm so she can do DIY repairs

C.C. has absolutely thrown a coin at and hit LeLouch's bare ass without trying. He was not amused, but also kinda

Asuna, after a while has no problem being casually nude around Kirito in the morning, like right out of the shower and all.

What do you think about relationship of Suzaku and Lelouch before Zero Requiem? Аfter all the events. And do you have some headcanons about the unholy trinity in emperor period of time? ;) Maybe cute, funny or glass moments?

Oh, thank you so much! This means a lot, considering I’m a big fan of your art as well! I love your artstyle and am occasionally checking how if there’s something new.

About the boys, there’s just so much to unpack. Might be an obvious analysis, but I think a lot of the conflict comes from the way Suzaku projects his own self hatred from killing his father on Lelouch due to his methods. He cannot deal with what he done so he rejects everything Zero, and thus Lelouch, is. Other factors like Euphemia and the “live” geass pile up and complicate the problem. He can’t let go of his attachment to the Lelouch he used to know tho, which almost makes me believe he alienated past lelouch from present lelouch.

Lelouch, on the other hand, is always trying to close this gap between them and bring Suzaku back to him, even after he swears for the millionth time that Suzaku is no longer his friend. There is a lot of people that Lelouch cares about, and he was eventually ready to lose a lot of them, but never Suzaku (as C.C points out quite a few times).

SO…after the events in the world of C, Suzaku, in some level, comes to terms with living in this reality (since they all choose the future together), instead of some made up ideal one. In that moment of acceptance of the events that led him there, he also accepts Lelouch and once again comes to recognize him fully (instead of separating sides of him). Lelouch can also get a better grasp on the flaw of his ways for trying to force his wishes on others and recognizes his selfishness, agreeing with Suzaku.

In summary, I believe that this moment allows them to reconnect, and although they still have a bag full of issues to work on, they are once again able to be sincere with each other and show their true selves (even if not always communicating it verbally). I am ship biased, but I like to think that they started this new phase very rigid and unsure, but eventually development some sort of romantic relationship. Suzaku would have somewhat of a tough time figuring out what role C.C plays in Lelouch’s life and how he feels about it, but would come to understand it and adapt himself into this dynamic. Lelouch is the hugest simp and is rather happy with how things settled ( with added angst knowing it has an expiration date).

Lord, that was a lot. Since I already made a whole essay I will try to be brief about my headcanons abt THOSE MONTHS.

I have thousands of them, so I will just mention a few.

1- Whenever he can, Lelouch cooks. He would have it served to cc and suzaku in his private chambers (If his room in the Black Knights ship was big enough to have a whole library, I’m sure that the imperial chambers are equipped with at least one nice table). Not only fancy dinners, but simple things like breakfast and tea.

2- Unlike C.C, Suzaku has his own room (he often needs his own space), but that doesn’t mean he sleeps there every night 👀

3- Suzaku and C.C bonded over annoying Lelouch and picking up on his dramatic mannerisms. They don’t initially have any beyond-platonic interaction, but once they decide to kiss in front of the others, thinking that it would annoy Lelouch, but to everyone’s surprise he just goes 😳😳😳

4- The three of them spend a lot of time in the gardens (as previously shown in official art), laying on the grass or just sitting nearby a lake. Those are the most blissful moments for Lelouch, but they always bring him a sting of pain because they remind him what he is giving up.

5- About the empress dress, C.C wears it sometimes, unlike shown in the anime, but she’s picky about comfort, so she mostly settle’s back to the white undergarments/straight jacket, much to Lelouch’s displeasure.

Lelouch Black-Lamperouge

Family situation

He was born on December 5, 1969 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, son of the pureblood wizard of the prestigious House of Black, Eridanus Nigellus Black, and his wife, Marion Black-Lamperouge, a pureblood witch of French origin. Who, without wishing to renounce her surname, asked that it be preserved along with her husband's surname.

His father, Eridanus, is the only son of the eldest daughter of Arcturus Black III, Lucretia Black, and her husband Ignatius Black, née Prewett, who due to his family's situation had to renounce his surname and take that of his wife to marry her.

Although Lucretia's younger brother, Orion Black, was the one who was originally going to become Lord Black and pass the title on to his own children. The birth of Eridanus on April 4, 1950, nine years before the eldest of Orion's children, Siriurs in 1959, added to the fact that Lucretia was older than Orion, caused the family magic to recognize Eridanus as the Black Heir. While her mother, Victoire Blanquefort, was the youngest daughter of Robert and Ghislaine, her father was Charles Lamperouge, a half-blood wizard who became involved in dark magic and this ultimately led to his and his wife's deaths, as well as that of Victoire's older sister, Félicie, and her husband.

Charles' origin was quite curious. Ten years older than his wife, who became pregnant at age 16 and later brought them into marriage, Charles was the son of Marcel Lamperouge, an orphaned Muggle-born, who lived in France during his early childhood and part of his adolescence, but he ended up moving to England after being expelled for practicing dark magic with classmates, including the Cruciatus spell. He hid all his actions at Hogwarts, where he met Ravenel Gaunt, who would become his wife.

In Britain, Ominis Gaunt would be born in 1875 to Morten Gaunt (older brother of Noctua Gaunt) and Berthilda Yaxley, and would be the younger brother of Marvolo Gaunt, which would make him the uncle of Morfin and Merope Gaunt and great-uncle of Tom Riddle Jr. In 1894, at the age of 19, working as a janitor at the Leaky Cauldron, Omnis would meet by pure luck the gentle and pleasant Columbia Potter, daughter of Herbert and Winona Potter (née Longbottom), with whom he would fall in love and whom he would marry.

Together they would have Ravenel Gaunt, the future wife of Marcel Lamperouge. Which makes Marion's maternal grandmother, and therefore her and her son Lelouch, maternal line descendants of Salazar Slytherin. As proof, Ravenel, his son Charles, his granddaughter Marion and his great-grandson Lelouch are Parselmouths.

Ironically, the birth of Charles (and Marion and Lelouch) would not have occurred in the original timeline. Ominis Gaunt, blind and destitute, was destined to die at age 25, and his meeting with Columbia Potter was planned and manipulated by A.A., as she was a loving and understanding soul who had enough wealth to help Ominis. Likewise, the last name of Marcel, who was abandoned in an orphanage originally was also not Lamperouge and was also changed by them. This entire situation (and Lelouch's status as a Slytherin descendant) was solely created because A.A. They wanted fun, even going so far as to plant the names of Charles, Victoire and Marion in the thoughts of their respective parents as a mockery of Lelouch and his family, based on the names of Charles, Victor and Marianne. At least they weren't cruel enough to suggest names similar to Nunnally and Rollo.

The same thing happened on her paternal side of the family, as originally, Lucretia was sterile and unable to have children, so A.A. He secretly arranged her body to lead to the birth of Eridanus.

The Bokura No Hibi ("Our Days") are a set of novels that were published during the airing of Season 1 in the magazine Newtype; Those novels center about the daily life of the Ashford Student council and contains lots of fun and valuable moments; Even though as novels they aren't part of the canon, once again they make for some awesome headcanon, or fanfiction material.

Bokura No Hibi 1 : First period Hour (Set in between Stage 5/6)

Shirley: Oh what should I do, what should I do, what should I do? I saw something I shouldn't have! I want to think it's all a mistake, but... but... the atmosphere then, that's totally... no! It can't be!

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear oh dear...

Milly: What are you doing, Shirley?

Shirley: Ah-- Milly!?

Milly: Please stop pacing up and down the Student Council room with that brooding look on your face.

Shirley: Oh, right...

Milly: You look like a wounded bear prowling about a village it stumbled into. It's kind of scary, you know.

Shirley: ...I looked like that? Really?

Milly: Yeah. And while you're at it, stop rolling about on the floor and smashing your forehead against the wall, too. It really scares me.

Shirley: Eh!? I -- did all that!?

Milly: Hmm? Oh, that was a little ol' lie.

Shirley:Mi~ll~y!!

Milly: Ahahaha. So! What about Lelouch?

Shirley: Bingo!! --but I'd rather you stop being able to guess my thoughts like that. Actually... (explanation)

Milly: Hmm. Lelouch has been behaving as though he's dating someone of late. You saw Lelouch and Kallen ask each other out with a certain purpose in mind. You saw Lelouch and Kallen kissing in the courtyard. And so you're thinking, "Could it be that Lulu and Kallen are going out!?" I see.

Shirley: It pains me all the more to hear you summarize my worries in that indifferent manner, actually...

Milly: Alright, time for a proper 'So Sorry It's Over' party.

Shirley:I don't want one!

Milly: Oh, don't worry, it'll be fun. We'll say "Who cares about guys!? Who cares about guys!?" and so on and so forth while winding up the threads. You know, like this, guruguruguru. (winding gestures)

Shirley: But they might not actually be going out!

Milly: True. In that case, we'll just have to ask them. I think Kallen will probably tell you if you ask her.

Shirley: Eh!?

Milly: Or shall I ask her for you?

Shirley: No--!! Um, I'll do it!

Milly: You'll do it? Pity...

Shirley: Pity?

Milly: Say, is it alright if I hide somewhere and eavesdrop while you ask her?

Shirley:No.Please do no such thing.

Translation notes:

Kanou Shinta makes a mistake in this Bokura no Hibi: Shirley always refers to Milly as "Kaichou", and never calls her by her first name.

"You look like a wounded bear prowling about a village it stumbled into. It's kind of scary, you know."

"hitozato", translated as "village" here, actually means "human habitation", but the above is closer to what Milly means, IMO.

"Oh, don't worry, it'll be fun. We'll say "Who cares about guys!? Who needs them!?" and so on and so forth while winding up the threads. You know, like this, guruguruguru." (winding gestures)

- "kuda wo maku" (translated as "winding up the threads" here) is actually an idiomatic phrase meaning "to jabber incoherently when drunk", usually referring to the constant, repetitive complaints made after a drink too many.

Milly talks about it in the literal sense: "winding/rolling poles" --> "winding up the threads", which, as far as I've been able to make out, refers to how weavers have to wind the threads around poles, the repetitive motion of which eventually gave rise to its figurative meaning. I'm really no good at explaining this, so I hope that made sense.

"Guruguruguru" is the onomatopoeia for winding/rolling up something here, but can be used for anything that turns.

Bokura no Hibi 2 : 2nd period Hour (post Stage 6)

Suzaku: Lelouch, wait up!

Lelouch: Hm? Anything wrong, Suzaku?

Suzaku: I've thought it over and I think the Student Council is a little beyond my reach...

Lelouch: Don't worry. Although it is the Student Council, it isn't all that different from the other clubs. It's fairly easygoing and there's only paperwork to deal with. I really think it'll be the least strain on you, considering you also have your military duties to deal with. ...Wait... I gave this very explanation to someone else just the other day...

Suzaku: I see... but...

Lelouch: Well, besides all that there's also the planning for the events, I suppose.

Suzaku: The School Festival?

Lelouch: Oh no, not quite. (grin) I mean Swimsuit-Classes Day, Absolutely-No-Talking Party, Gender Switch Festival, things like that.

Suzaku: EH ...... (speechless) ...What are those?

Lelouch: Kaichou forcefully implemented Swimsuit-Classes Day on the grounds that "the summers in Japan are much too hot". Air conditioners were switched off throughout the day and simple pools, palm trees, parasols and tropical drinks bars installed in the classrooms and halls instead. It was a big hit.

Suzaku: I-I see... And the Absolutely-No-Talking Party...?

Lelouch: You're absolutely not allowed to talk. You can't bring in writing utensils either.

Suzaku: It doesn't sound very... exciting.

Lelouch: Well, Kaichou was quite charged up about it, saying "This is what the Elevens call Zen!"

Suzaku: That's an extreme misunderstanding...

Lelouch: And the Gender Switch Festival is...

Suzaku: It has just occurred to me that it might be better not to ask.

Lelouch: All the girls dress up as guys; school uniform, suits, it doesn't matter. They then act like men to their best ability and escort their partners with the usual required theatrics.

Suzaku: And th-the guys...?

Lelouch: (fufufu) Do you want to hear about it?

Suzaku: Actually, no.

Lelouch: Those who look good dressed up as girls receive an incredible amount of attention. They're very much in demand. I think you'll probably fall under that category, too.

Suzaku: There is something not quite right with this Student Council...

Lelouch: Indeed. I can't help but think that the one coming up with all these ideas have a little too much something pent up inside...

Suzaku: Um, where do I hand in my letter of withdrawal?

Lelouch: Too late! You'll have to resign yourself to your fate now and stick with us till the end! The more members we have, the more toys for Kaichou, and individual suffering decreases!

Suzaku: Y-you were after this all along, weren't you, Lelouch!?

headcanon request: what kind of music do you think Lelouch would like?

I'm pretty sure he listens to patriotic music of any country other than Britannia out of sheer spite.

But also, he prefers instrumentals over vocals, and likes to listen to string instruments. Namely the guitar and violin.

If we consider Code Geass being set in a universe where technology is way ahead of its time, it's highly likely that electronic music is very popular there, but Lelouch prefers the old-school stuff.

He listened to a ton of classical Britannian music as a child, but grew to hate it after being sent to Japan. It is only when Nunnally reminds him of a specific song they liked as children that he is inclined to listen to it once more.

Whatever it is he is listening to, the volume has to be low, enough for only him to hear.
