listening to Single Ladies by Beyonce because it's stuck in my head and imagining that Wong has the entire choreo from the music video memorized. Like, at a Kamar-Taj party and this song comes on and Wong just slays so fucking hard
(stephen is impressed. and really wants to put a ring on it now)

Kamar-Taj head canon
Tumblr media
Sooooo ~ I'm working on a prompt right now, and I just came up with a Kamar-Taj head canon which will facilitate the story. And I'm going to use it regardless of how people reply (if they reply). But I'd like to see what ya'll think:
The flowering & fruit trees and vegetable plants within the compound blossom year round as a result of absorbing thousands of years worth of residual magic through their roots.
Tumblr media
This effect spreads out from Kamar-Taj into the neighborhoods surrounding the compound, so that residents consider themselves blessed to live that close. Deciduous trees, however, still experience the vibrant colors of fall before shedding their leaves, but they remain on the branches well into the new year--unless there comes wind & rain of hurricane proportions.

Pitch for a MCU miniseries:
“Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj”, a spin-off to the Doctor Strange movies and an expansion on the magical side of the MCU. The show has three main protagonists:
1) America Chavez, who is still training per the events of “Multiverse of Madness”
2) Ned Leeds, who is scouted by Wong after Ned discovers that he has magical capabilities (follow-up to Ned’s arc in “No Way Home”)
3) Nico Minoru, who has since left the Runaways for unknown reasons. Wong brings her to Kamar-Taj after seeing her potential as a sorceress.
The show is basically Marvel’s version of Harry Potter / Jujutsu Kaisen (leaning to the latter since the show is set in Asia). In terms of group dynamics, America is the brave one who is a little unsure of herself, Ned is the happy-go-lucky one with a heart of gold, and Nico is the angsty loner who slowly re-learns the power of friendship.
Wong is also present in the series as the main trio’s master/sensei (so he’s like the Kakashi / Satoru Gojo of the show).

It's interesting that The Ancient One seems to collect assholes.
She's reluctant to take Stephen on because he's arrogant, self-centered, and power-hungry. She sees in him another Kaecilius and doesn't want to make the same mistake again. It's only an impassioned convincing from Mordo that persuades her.
But Mordo, for all his righteousness, implies a darker history. Mordo suggests that he used to be a violent bastard. As he puts it, he sought power to defeat his enemies until the Ancient One filled him with a higher purpose. He wanted violence; She sharpened him into a sword for Kamar-Taj. And he took to the belief system she gave him a little too well.
None of these people are really good people. People don't come to Kamar-Taj because they've made good life choices. Even the Ancient One herself is violating her own teachings for the sake of immortality. Everyone kinda sucks here.
Really makes me wonder what Wong used to be like.

Lack of Emotion | Stephen Strange x Reader | Part 2
Description: You and Stephen have agreed to restart your friendship, however it comes with the realisation. . . maybe that anger you had towards him was something else?
Warnings: Mention of Death, Light Angst
[ Part 1 ] - [ Part 2]
Note: Here's part 2! I apologise that this one is kinda rushed, I've been busy the last couple of days. Today hasn't been going that well for me. But here is a chapter to make up for it!
You knew this was going to be hard.
You and Stephen have agreed to restart your friendship, act as if you've just met a few days ago. As much as you wanted to pretend that was the case, you couldn't forget how he was the last person to see the Ancient One alive. Deep down you just assumed you were jealous; it was normal. . . but you wished that you could have said goodbye to her.
Now it's been a few months since the 'restart' of your friendship. You've grown to the rank of master and it was all because of Stephen's help; in his words he wanted to 'make it up to you' by training you -- you didn't know whether to be flattered or frustrated. You appreciated it anyway. During those months, Wong had noticed the two of you grow closer, even hang out more after training sessions; among the sorcerers was a bet with how long it would take for you two to start a new argument.
So far you have won $20.
"Did they seriously bet against us?" You unwrapped the bandage around your hand, dropping it next to you in the bucket. "I thought betting was against your culture," you said, sending a wink towards him.
Stephen let out a light laugh, glancing over at the sorcerers who trained with Wong. "All of that was thrown out of the window since they put Wong in charge," he remarked turning back to you. "May I remind you there are a lot of people here from all across the world."
You rolled you eyes, "I know. I thought better of them." A smile cracked on your face as you gathered your belongings, stuffing the Astral Projection book into your bag, "so where are you headed?"
Around about this time, Stephen would go to the sanctum to do his usual guarding duties, though with someone else stationed there for the week, you could tell he had other plans. He waved and turned and headed into the main building, beckoning you to follow him.
Hesitantly, you followed, turning back towards the sorcerers with a double glance.
Stephen led you through the hallways, to the room that connected to the three sanctums. New York, Hong Kong and London. He looked at you.
"I thought it would be nice to maybe get some dinner together? After all, I still have a lot to do to make it up to you." You watched him grow with nervousness. Him, nervous? For a moment, you couldn't believe that could've been possible as he was the king of sarcasm and arrogance. . . though you knew that had started to resolve itself.
A dinner with him sounded like the thing you needed. "I'd like that," you smiled, "a dinner is one of many you're going to have to do to make it up to me, Strange." You teased, poking his side -- the cloak slapped your hand.  "HEY!"
"You should know what happens when you try to punch me."
"I didn't punch you! I poked you. There's a difference." You huffed.
You knew that the cloak didn't always understand what was an 'attack' and what was just playful banter, but either way, you appreciated how loyal it was to Stephen. You considered yourself the most loyal towards him; despite the past.
He stepped through the New York sanctum portal before meandering throughout the infinite doorways and corridors the sanctum held. You were glad he was leading the way as you always got lost here. There was a time when you had to call Stephen and Wong to portal you back to Kamar-Taj as you got lost in the basement. Not a fun time.
Eventually, you two made it to three windows. Doorways to other parts of the world. Stephen turned the handle to change the location that whirred and flashed before your very eyes, each one circled before a small garden appeared. In the middle of it sat a bench with food stacked across it with a sorcerer standing next to it. Once they had seen Stephen, they left, bowing their head towards him before heading back to Kamar-Taj.
"What was that about?" You asked, he looked back at you.
"I know it isn't a restaurant, however, it's one of the only places we can be without being bothered. I'd take you to another dimension, but Wong isn't so keen on that right now."
Right. . . you heard about that. Last month a sorcerer had gotten lost in a dimension called 'weirdworld' and never returned. Despite the search parties that went after them, nobody could find them. You knew the warnings that the Mystic Arts had for dimensional travel: you had to be at least a master to even think about going -- even if you did, you had to be assisted.
All you could assume was that the sorcerer was a novice.
You sat at the bench, noticing the wide array of sandwiches and other things Stephen managed to stag. You picked up your favourite one, not bothering to wait for Stephen who sat beside you.
"I take it you're hungry," he teased, reaching for a sandwich of his own. You nodded. "I uh. . . I didn't set this dinner just so we could eat. I need to talk to you."
Oh now you were in the shit. You carefully looked at him, watching him try and think of his next words. You gestured for him to continue.
"I know I should've waited until longer. . . until later on when we've known each other longer. But i can't keep this a secret -- it's impossible to. I didn't dislike you because you were quiet all the time, well that was partly it, but the main reason is," he set his hand on your arm. You froze. "I. . . I was so angry at the fact I couldn't stop thinking about you, thinking about what I had done wrong. I really do like you. A lot. I-I'm awful with words, I'm sorry. I have feelings for you..."
You stared at him, letting his words process throughout your brain. Did. . .did he just confess to you?
You gave him a smile and set your hand on his in return. He didn't need an answer. You set your sandwich down and wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. His hands hung above like a marionette until he finally wrapped them around you, returning the well-needed hug.
"I really like you too. . ."

A Sweet Intoxication
Tumblr media
"I dream of rain, I dream of gardens in the desert sands. I wake in vain, I dream of love as time runs through my hands." - Desert Rose (Sting)
Part 1: Sketch Oh, my heart… How I miss this woman as much as I missed Tony. For a long time, I had thought of drawing The Ancient One with Damon, but I could never find a scenario that suited them. A few weeks back I stumbled across Desert Rose by Sting, and I immediately was taken back to when I met her - I call her Caoihme - back in 2017. I was awestruck by her beauty and her strength, captivated by her wisdom and barely above a whisper in her voice. I knew upon seeing her that she would forever be a part of myself and of Damon. My girlfriend suggested the courtyard with them walking side by side as a background and I was suddenly taken with inspiration. I wanted to draw them in the spring, their relationship just beginning to blossom as they keep in step to show their synchronicity. Through their longevity, they would become tantric in every way. The Ancient One got me through a very hard time in my life, and for that I will forever be thankful to this variant of her. As I sketched this, I was overwhelmed by the smell of cactus rose and I wept for the woman whom so many lost. But as I drew her, I was surrounded by warmth and a feeling of pure love radiated from the lines. I have no doubt that she is with me, even though she has finally chosen to rest. But I wish I could thank her one more time. I know that someday, whether it be through my own energies, through the blessings of God and he universe, or simply by grand design, I will meet her again. And so too, will Damon, who loved her for a century and longer.

..are you okay after what Wanda did to Kamar-Taj? I’m so mad at her. Are you okay? Please be okay. Can I hug you?
(For context the anon just finished watching MoM again)
It’s been very stressful having to arrange for repairs, funerals, classes, promotions, and other things all at once while also defending our reality from mystical threats. But I’m okay for the most part. I’m getting by.
I suppose you can hug me?

Brooke Ramsey, Master Sorceress
Tumblr media
Basics
Full name: Brooke Ramsey
Nicknames: Brookie, Master Brooke, Master Ramsey, Sorceress
Age: 33
Species: Human, mystic arts user
Universe: Earth-47336
Physical Attributes
Skin tone: Fair
Eye color: Brown
Hair color and styles: Her hair is a chocolate brown color,  He wears it down during formal events or when she is relaxing in her bedroom. When studying from books she will have it up in a butterfly clip. When it comes to battle, she will pull her hair back with a hair tie she often wears on her wrist. Her hair is naturally straight unless she uses a flat iron to curl her hair.
Build: Over the years, she has gained quite a bit of muscle in her arms and legs. Her torso is toned, not a pretty type of tone. She had been training to be strong to battle her enemies, and not just with the mystic arts.
Scars or imperfections: She had been in a hiking accident in her late twenties. She had scarring on her back reaching from her left shoulder down and across her mid-back. She had two long claw marks on her torso, a small one on her right shoulder, and a faint scar starting at the bottom of her right ear and ending in the middle of her neck. Other than these marks, she has a couple of old scars from scraps in previous battles.
Face Claim: Ashley Greene
Personality
Personality Type: ENFJ-T (The protagonist)
Likes: She loves chai tea, visiting museums, and taking a walk around the park to clear her mind and soul. She keeps herself busy with either studying from the library at Kamar-Taj, sparring with students and colleagues (if you could call them that), and she liked to take time to soak in the peace once in a while.
Dislikes: She isn't that much of a coffee drinker anymore. She grew a dependence on it, her sleeping schedule paying the price for it. She also does not like her enemies. Being a master of the mystic arts, she had many of those.
Strengths: Brooke will stand up for others who can't for themselves. She is willing to teach others the lessons they need to learn in order to get through what it is they are struggling with. It is one of the reasons she was a teacher at Kamar-Taj, just as she had been a grade school teacher before her accident. She isn't afraid to take charge and help anybody out, but she isn't afraid to let somebody else who is more knowledgeable than she take the lead.
Weaknesses: She often lets her emotions dictate her actions. She may not wear her emotions on her sleeve, but it has caused her to tumble and trip a few times.
Habits: She can not study with her shoes on, and a candle must always be burning. She also is in the habit of making sure her studying spaces are always cleaned.
Defining moment: Brooke left her home, the town she had been living in, having sold everything she owned to pay her medical debts off. She sold her car, taking the funds to buy a ticket to Kathmandu, having been told she could get a second chance at Kamar-Taj.
Aesthetics: Brooke's old home and wardrobe could be described as dark academia. She loved earthy tones, feeling at one with nature. Her current lifestyle wasn't that much different than before arriving at Kamar-Taj. Her master robes were a combination of dark grey, dark brown, light brown, and spiced orange accents.
Skills: Mystic Arts, Tao Fan taught to her by the Ancient One, Defensive Spells, Attack Spells
History
Brooke was a native of Utah, living near Richfield City for nearly her whole life. She was a single child, her mother was a nurse and her father was an electrician. They were fairly busy with their careers, but they never left Brooke behind. They made time for family dinners, went to her dance recitals, and helped her through her life. They were thrilled that she chose to become a school teacher, knowing that she had a lot of passion for learning.
Brooke was a grade school teacher, specifically a social studies teacher at an elementary school. She would take her students on field trips to museums and to local and state government buildings. Brooke was a teacher for almost seven years at the time of her accident. She had gone on a two-week trip with her friends to Alaska, finding some nice scenery to view and take in. Her friends were not as adventurous as she was. They told her the hike was a bad idea, that they were there to hang out. Brooke should have listened to them.
Brooke woke up in a hospital in Alaska, covered in bandages and casts. She had been told she was attacked by a bear. She was alone in the hospital, having been flown to a hospital hours away from where the group was vacationing. Her parents had no way to get to her quickly and were video conferencing with the hospital staff, doctors, and Brooke as much as they could. Brooke spent three months in the hospital in Alaska. Her parents were able to get a flight to the city she had been in and a flight right back out the next day.
When she returned home, she received so many looks of pity from her friends and the people in her town. She tried teaching again, but the students would always talk about her scars or ask her about her accident. It was traumatizing to her to listen to the questions and comments day in and day out. Eventually, the bills came flooding in. She couldn't rely on her parents to take care of her for the rest of her life, let alone she was still single. She didn't have anybody to bounce back on in the privacy of her own home. A yard sale led to an estate sale. After selling everything in the estate sale, Brooke had to sell her house to finish paying off her medical bills.
She had nowhere to turn, losing her job as a teacher was the final blow for her. That was when she had heard about Kamar-Taj, there had been a woman in her town who said she had been there. Everything that was wrong with her had been fixed and she was able to live a normal life. Brooke knew it was her last chance at a normal life, a life free of the pain she had been experiencing since waking up in the hospital. Brooke sold her car, giving her enough money for a plane ticket to Kathmandu, Nepal.
Brooke finally found Kamar-Taj, begging the Ancient One to let her practice and learn the mystic arts. The Ancient One agreed to let her into their institution, on the grounds that she made sure this was the life she had wanted. There was no turning back for her, she wouldn't be able to go back to her hometown at the end of this journey and live a normal life.
Brooke agreed, joining the students of Kamar-Taj. She felt out of place, as most of its students were not injured like she was, or struggling with their lives. They knew the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, they had some connection to the mystic arts. Brooke had been alone, having left her parents behind without a word.
Brooke met Stephen Strange a few months after she joined. His story was much like hers, having come here to search for answers. She tried to crack him open a bit, get him to open up to her about what brought him to Kamar-Taj. He hadn't been sure of Brooke, or why she was so interested in him.
Stephen became the master of the New York Sanctum, and the Sorcerer Supreme. Wong had put Brooke in the New York Sanctum after she became a master Sorcerer herself. She spends time between New York and Kamar-Taj to teach students and help Dr Strange save the world.
Notes:
This is my oc that I will use in future stories and rps with marvel characters. I really want her to interreact with many people. I will even answer ask submissions with her if you want to know more about her or anything our hearts desire.

Full Moon Party at Kamar-Taj HEAD CANON:
Tumblr media
I so want to write a one-shot/short multi-chapter fic regarding the events of the Full Moon Party, but until I have the time to, I want to remember these points:
it took place 2-3 months after The Return
the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj had been working around the clock for all that time to repair any abnormalities in our reality that resulted from Thanos’ tampering with the fabric of the Universe, and then the sudden return of billions when the Blip was reversed - the party was meant to be a chance to blow off some steam and to celebrate the success of their efforts
was it Stephen’s idea? I’m willing to bet it was 😏
this was the night when Wong mustered the courage to tell Sara (who replaced him as the Master Librarian of Kamar-Taj) how he felt about her
of course there was karaoke!
deep in their cups, Stephen & Wong were heavily persuaded to perform a duet, and it ended up being Don’t Go Breaking My Heart ; the crowd loved it so much they may have ended up chanting, ‘kiss him, dip him’ repeatedly until the two of them gave in [POSSIBLY only]
okay, so yes things got a bit out of hand, which was the reason Stephen did the memory spell, although he exempted himself and a female companion (an OFC) from forgetting
because Wong and Sara forgot the events of the evenings, said OFC insisted that Stephen play matchmaker and get them back together again

1969 Blue Marvel II
This story line seems like a good fit…mostly. Set in '69 not '72. Also the team won't be referred to as the 'Mighty Avengers' as the Avengers are a long way off…
Adam has an undersea base that Namor made for him at Peggy's request to keep Adam safe from persecution.
Adam has moved on from Peggy after s2 of Agent Carter as she was more romantically interested in Sousa/memory of Steve. He has a family now, Candace (formerly Marlene) and Kevin that help out with his secret superheroing from his secret base. It has been secret as the President thought that America wasn't ready for a black superhero as per the comics (to be further explored in TFATWS). Candace is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was assigned to make sure Adam wasn’t trying to be a superhero. She quit, changed her name and married him and helped him carry on Superheroing in secret.
The plot:
Open on a character called Lichidus overseeing the upcoming dissection of a scared and frantic half-human creature. They inject it with a small amount of silver to get it to cooperate. Then he monologues about how their plans are nearly come to fruition. Then he sling rings out of there but he should have stuck around because they didn't use enough silver and the creature's hand begins to twitch…
Cut to:
Lord Montgomery Falsworth has been investigating sightings of his missing brother and his supposed victims for nine years. S.H.I.E.L.D. won't give time or money to it anymore so he has been doing it on his own time and dime. However when he does get a tip, the trail has usually gone cold by the time he gets there. So Peggy suggested he seek out the Blue Marvel who can travel faster than the speed of sound.
Adam is living undersea as mentioned above. He has secretly been fighting crime with his family's help ever since the President's no superheroing decree forced him underground/underwater. He feels bad that Kevin's education is being disrupted. Candace agrees but very much blames the government and not Adam. Kevin loves the adventure and doesn't care as much about missing school, though he does seem very bright and feels he is missing out on friends and having a normal life.
When Falsworth contacts him they bring him back to base (he is impressed with the Talokanil engineering and technology) and run through the supposed sightings of his brother.
Several victims were mauled or bitten to death in very similar ways. It started in Austria but now there are reports across much of Europe. Every victim had been completely drained of blood. In many of these cases witness reports describe a man who looks like a vaguely monstrous John Falsworth near or actually leaving the scene.
There had been no sightings for several months but Peggy had called in with another drained victim with similar wounds at a small village near Tunguska, Siberia two days ago and suggested Falsworth come to visit Adam.
Adam goes as fast as he can. Falsworth and Candace are picked up by Howard Stark in his mkII Quinjet and go by air (so Kevin has to go too, but it will take them some time). They are all equipped with special long distance wireless communicators by Howard. They are also backed up by Peggy, Brian and Jacqueline Falsworth and a contingent of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. There is a risk that other S.H.I.E.L.D. higher ups or the American government would come down hard on helping the Blue Marvel and on wasting S.H.I.E.L.D. resources. But Peggy and Howard want to support James after everything he's given to the cause.
Adam arrives in Siberia at night. He scouts near where the victim was found from the air. He widens the search and spies a humanoid figure moving strangely a few miles off. He flies down to engage and is caught off guard by a sudden attack. Surprised by the creature's strength, he is struggling to regain the upper hand as it tries to bite him. Though he would have come out on top eventually, he gets a surprise assist. They fight him off together but the new hero wants to make sure Adam wasn’t bitten before pursuing. Adam introduces himself. His 'saviour ' is Eric Brooks aka Blade aka Daywalker aka the Dhampir aka the half vampire. He is immune to vampire bites as he is half vampire. He is not vulnerable to sunlight or silver as he is half human but garlic gives him indigestion. He has tracked the creature on and off for several years but this was the closest he's ever been.
Adam explains who they think it used to be.
Blade: Don't care who he was, only care what he's gonna be. Dead. Permanently this time.
Adam informs the following team that they believe he has found John and is following the trail.
Blade is very good at tracking vampires (Adam is taken aback that vampires are real), so leads the way.
They come across the aftermath of a battle. There are several dead soldiers dressed in black combat gear. A bear is poking around the cadavers.
They try not to disturb the bear, but it picks up their scent. It charges. Blade says if you stand your ground it will stop charging. Only it doesn't.
Adam takes off and, not wanting to hurt the creature, blasts nearby to scare it off. But it doesn't flinch. Blade has to dive out the way at the last moment and he and Adam fight and manage to subdue the bear, which transforms into a woman, unconscious in the snow.
Surprised, they nonetheless spring into action. Blade wants to leave her and follow the monster's trail, but Adam shames him into helping the woman, who would otherwise die from exposure. They find a groundsheet in one trooper's pack and wrap her in it. They reason that the troops must have come from a base nearby and follow their trail instead. Adam uses his flight to spy ahead and they find and reach the base swiftly. There are signs of a breakout. The heavy main door is hanging off it's fixings.
The clues that led Blade to Siberia suggested the creature had been taken against its will, so the breakout made sense. But there doesn't seem to be a lab or holding cell.
Eric's tracking skills lead him to a hidden door, but they don't know how to open it. Adam starts working to figure it out and Blade finds some combat gear for the woman to wear.
Thanks to her part bear physiology she recovers quickly and starts growling and shouting at them in broken Russian. Her appearance and voice are becoming more bear-like as she gets more aggressive.
Adam (To Blade): How's your Russian?
Blade: Not so good!
They try to calm the situation and she eventually realises they mean her no harm. Adam calls Candace with his special Stark designed communicator and she translates for them, allowing the three to talk:
Bear (after dressing): *I never thought I would wear this uniform again.*
Adam: You know those troopers?
Bear: *Some of them. I thought you were with them.*
Blade: Who are they?
Bear: *Deathwalkers. They are a death cult, dedicated to the order of Chthon.*
Blade: The order of what?
(*indicates translation by Candace)
Chthon is an elder god, who would destroy this universe and remake it in their own image. To bring them from their dimension requires a great sacrifice. The Deathwalkers believe the destruction of an entire continent is necessary.
To achieve their aims and to live to see this rapture, they need to drink vampire blood as it slows the aging process to the point of near immortality. However, the more immortals you create, the more vampire blood you need and the less vampires you have.
They decided to create their own vampire/human hybrids using the bones of an ancient vampire and the Talisman of Kamar Taj. The Talisman merges two creatures together and had been stolen from Kamar Taj by a rogue sorcerer.
Bear had been a Deathwalker and had drank vampire blood many times, granting her a very long life.
In return, she had been "volunteered" for early experiments with the Talisman and more simple creatures, without really knowing what she was getting into. She was merged with a bear. She became a bear for so long afterward that she almost forgot who she was.
A former friend took pity on her and released her into the wild. She believes she mauled them on the way out, being more bear than woman at that time.
As things stand now, she can't remember her name or family and is trying to piece her history together. She thinks she was a believer, but her transformation without consent showed her how monstrous the Deathwalkers were. She means to stop all their operations and kill their leader. His name is Lichidus.
She reasons John Falsworth was discarded as a failed experiment at their former base in Austria (taken over by Hydra during the war) but he came back to (un)life anyway. The Deathwalkers must have caught up with him and brought him back here for more experimentation. Bear, who never strayed that far from the base, saw him escape and his treatment at the hands of the Deathwalker troops prompted her to intervene. The surprise of her attack gave Falsworth the upper hand and allowed him to escape.
Bear shows them the secret door and the three of them manage to wrench it off with their super strength. There are several vampire hybrids in cages, some are children. The adult ones draw the children in close and hiss at the intruders. They are all having blood pumped from them via intravenous lines.
There is a file, in Russian, on John Falsworth and the aftermath of a fight round an operating table.
Blade is checking more dead Deathwalkers for bite marks. As he is doing so one comes back to life and attacks him. He dispatches them with ruthless efficiency. The caged vampires all hiss at him for killing one of theirs and he wields his blade at them.
Bear is angry at him in Russian. Candace says that the Bear said he shouldn't kill them, they're victims, like her. They just have to remind them they're human. He says try saying that when a vampire has just ripped your throat out. She doesn't understand. They talk at eachother angrily. Adam is trying to make peace when more of the Deathwalker troops and scientists come back to (un)life.
They retreat, battling their way towards the broken secret door and when the broken main door comes into view they see the troopers from the earlier battle coming through the gap. They have been turned as well. The Bear's strength and Blade's skill aren't enough to hold them back. Even Adam's strength and concussion blasts only halt them temporarily.
Adam: Didn't you check them for bites?!
Blade: We were being attacked by a bear!
They fight hard but are almost surrounded. Adam calls to Candace and asks if they're almost there. She says they're just a few minutes out, hold on, but they can't. The vamps pretty much match Blade and the Bear in strength. The Bear doesn't want to transform as, though she'll be stronger, she'll more vulnerable to being bitten. Adam is strong enough to hold them off but is in increasing danger of a bite from the sheer number of vampires. Blade is struggling to move his sword. He and the Bear are about to be overwhelmed.
In his frustration, Adam builds up and releases an energy pulse knocking out friends and enemies alike. He passes out from the sheer expenditure of energy.
When he comes to they are on the Quinjet. Candance said she didn't know he could do that. Adam says neither did he.
Blade comes to and doesn't appreciate being knocked out, but is relieved to be alive. The Bear wakes up still in fighting mode but is talked down by Candace before she goes full bear.
Howard is trialling a new collar that dampens superpowers once it can be tailored to the individual. Candace has translated the file on John Falsworth and it seems like the process mutates both sets of dna to accept the other. It also details the make up of the vampiric genome allowing Howard to calibrate the collar. This means they can safely transport the hybrid victims and the Deathwalker vampires back to their base. Though the remaining Deathwalker vampires are restrained. And the effect of the vampire blood they drank is an unknown factor. Risky! But Howard assures them that it's safe. They have Union Jack II and Spitfire to back them up too.
The file on John Falsworth suggests there is a Deathwalker base in New York, though it doesn't detail where.
Adam, Blade, the Bear and James Falsworth stay behind as they have yet to find John. Candace and Kevin stay behind too to be near Adam.
Falsworth is concerned the trail may go cold (figuratively) again. Blade assures him, with the sun coming up, he can't have gotten far.
This gives us Eric Brooks in the 50s! Minor change to his backstory in the Blade movies required!
To be continued…
