In general, Riddle will always start out as anti piercing. His mother raised him that piercings are from the devil (or the devil equivalent in twst) and should be ever pierce his body with a needle, he would be thrown in the fiery flames for all eternity. So…he's anti piercing

That said, if he had to pick one he wanted, he'd go for a navel piercing. That way, the gods (and his mother) would never know he had it. He'd probably go for a simple ruby.

He doesn't react too much to piercings on other people. He just never thinks about it, even though he's always thinking about it for himself. So your piercings wouldn't phase him.

He's simplistic. A favorite piercing he'd have for you, is a simple nose stud. Maybe a ruby to match his hypothetical navel stud.

I'm totally blanking on what he looks like, but if he doesn't have piercings now, he will as soon as he's out of the public eye. Once Cheka is of age, he knows no one will care about the "delinquent second born" and he's free to do what he wants without judgment.

He'd go for a single stud on one side, a nose ring, a navel ring, and probably one lip piercing so that it glitters when he smirks.

He doesn't care if you have piercings. Obviously, it's sexy as hell if you do, but whatever, it's your life.

His favorite on you is, surprisingly, a basic earring. He likes to gently pull them with his teeth when he's feeling particularly flirty or needy.

He won't have piercings ever. It would affect his businessman facade. That said….if he ever got a piercing, he would want a single dangle earring so he can match the twins. Maybe a conch shell?

Another one who doesn't mind it on you. And his favorite one you? Tongue piercing. Not that he'll ever admit it…because it's his favorite due to him liking the feel against his tongue when your tongue is down his throat…the taste of iron filling his senses along with your signature smell….ahem. He uh he means he likes a typical earring on you. yup yup.

Pierced everywhere. He likes shiny things. There was no stopping him.

He would like you pierced top to bottom, so that he can shower you in even more gold and jewels. He loves to see you shimmer, and hear you jangle. Piercings just add to it.

But if he had to choose a favorite spot, it's regular lobe and cartilage piercings on your ears. Then he can still see the shimmer 😁 he loves to decorate along your ears with chains and jewels, thinks it's so pretty

He has regular ear piercings. I'm sorry, a man who looks that hot in red heels is ready to wear a set of pearl drop earrings at a moments notice. He's modeled a hundred sexy looks in those hypothetical earrings, and you can't tell me otherwise. Maybe he takes them out for school so that when his fellow students decide to get in a fight, he doesn't have to hand them to Rook Everytime.

He wants you in pearl earrings to….just saying. He thinks you'll be so pretty, so professional, with a set of pearls; pearl choker, pearl bracelet, pearl earrings (does this feed into his desire to dress you like a doll? Maybe)

Out of everyone, he's the one who would get nipple piercings. Probably after watching some anime where the tough guy had gold nipple hoops. Subtle but enough of a character design that Idia snuck past Ortho to go get some himself.

He's gonna think any piercings you have are sexy. Nipple piercings? Bad ass. Navel? Show him that tummy. Lip piercing? Kiss him. I mean what?

Man wears black classy earrings. Doesn't really branch out, but that's fine. He looks hot.

He loves if you have piercings. It adds to his delusions about you, like "look at my rebellious little human". Mal Mal, it's just a nose ring? It's a common piercing in many cultures? Not a big deal? He's never gonna hear you over his delusions, babe

His fave on you? Navel and nipple. Because our Victorian man thinks seeing either is such a scandalous treat, and sends a thrill down his spine. Such intimate places, and he gets to see them! How thrilling! Humans are so brave these days!

— as for nose piercings, the both of you are quite basic to be honest. it’s usually your regular gold hoop and his silver hoop or your studs, y’all don’t do much with y’all nose. hobie prefers matching with your belly instead

— during outings with hobie, the both of y’all will gladly flash y’all jewelry to the camera, y’all don’t care! hobie will have the most shit eating grin while he brags to the reporters about y’all new piercings and walks off giving you a small kiss

— during private, quiet times, hobie will play with the charm on your belly or randomly kiss your cartilage. he doesn’t know why but jewelry on you makes your attraction to him skyrocket by ten. he loves staring at you and admiring all the gold and silver pieces placed around your charming face, he thinks you look ethereal

I'm still very speechless.

Jimin playing hard to get.

Jimin telling JK needed to go to sleep because he had schedules later that day, basically making sure JK stayed on-task.

Yes, JK literally has tried to lure Jimin with food, beer, working out, beefcake (flexed his bicep), he's asked coyly, assertively and begged unabashedly. Even Armys tried to convince Jimin.

The comparisons of this to Seven's MV are hilarious... yup, next thing we'll see is JK faking his own death serenading Jimin from his casket.

"Come on Jimin, let me come over, I'll bring my shower stuff and we can do it in the shower... I mean from the shower... or just whatever, pleeeeeeez...."

Knowing Jimin's default is naked while at home and him texting JK a pic? Please can y'all stop sending dick pics to each other while we are watching?

K-Army is saying the tone of voice JK was using, the context, the polite/casual speech they both used was off the charts couply. A lot of us are international Army and all we see are straight up dry translations and can't really understand how important all those things are in communicating in Korean society. It is easy for I-Armys to interpret the dry translations differently than how Koreans interpret them. I depend a lot on what K-Army says and defer to them as to how to interpret Jimin and Jungkook's relationship.

But seriously, even I could tell JK was speaking in satoori when he was chiding Jimin about saying he wasn't in condition to do a live... "we don't worry about that Jimin, we just do it when we feel like it."

Jimin: "you've forgotten what my personality is like"

I can hear Jimin now... "I don't have any makeup on..." Jimin-ssi. Please. Slip off your chelsea boots, leave your hair alone and relax a little. It's not like you've NEVER done a live before with no makeup and bed head.

We have JK on one side being the free-spirit/in-the-moment-go-with-the-mood vibe and Jimin on the other side being rigid and in total control of everything.

I'm still salty because Jimin censored himself during his Face album live when he realized there were young people watching as he was about to explain his concept of looking in the bathroom mirror in the Like Crazy MV.

I see a collision happening with these two mindsets and I think Jimin sees it too hahahahaha! "I'M SCARED OF YOU!" he doesn't know what kind of shenanigans will happen when they are together on a live because we also know Jimin LOVES HIS JK and can't resist climbing all over him when they are together!

Who could resist that:

Jungkook swapped the stud in his newest lip piercing for another lip ring and he re-pierced his right ear and the jewelry is very pretty. The earrings have a very fine chain hanging from the first to the last hoop. Edgy and delicate at the same time.

We have expectations now for his next live. Keep moving those chains JK! Maybe joking about a live while showering is not such a joke after all.... I'm kinda scared too, Jimin.

JK's July 27 live:

I had started a blog post about the July 27 two and a half hour live but NOOOOoooOOOOOooo, JK has moved the line again with the naked-in-the-bed live, so it's almost pointless to blog about the one from the previous day now.

Except I was thrilled when he responded to my ask if he had seen Jimin's Barbie guitar. What a thrill to interact with him in real time... I'm still just... wow ...

But a few things I took away from that two and a half hour live:

JK getting so emotional when he watched and listened to the Army Love Letter song. I broke down in tears as soon as I saw him being overcome.

And the live translating is not automated, its done by real people:

About 15 minutes into this purple 2.5 hour live, someone must have asked about Tae's album because JK says yes, he's heard a few songs and they're good. I am very excited to hear what Tae has created, especially after seeing the music critic say it is something unexpected. Of course, Tae's love for Bing Crosby-ish vibes could be what he's talking about and that wouldn't surprise me if that's the direction Tae goes. Later, someone in the comments asked if Tae would do a Seven dance challenge with him and he said Tae wouldn't do it. Why not Tae? Hmmphf. Fine.

Anyway...

Right before logging out, JK sang Jimin's Dear.Army (Letter) swaying back and forth so sweetly!!!! It was so beautiful. Might be the closest we come to hearing them singing it together. He loves that song.

Tomorrow we get to watch JK's episode of Suchwita and the day after that we will see him on Inkagayo.

All of that and I still think about Jimin and Jungkook had a camera crew with them on that dang boat in Connecticut a few weeks ago... if it was for a Seven TikTok, shouldn't it have been out by now?... so where will we eventually see that? Hmmmmmm???

Redacted Asmr Fashion Headcanons!

Both Ash and Gavin view developing a personal style as a matter of self-care (I'm totally not projecting right now) but in very different ways. Ash is a thrift store GOD. He knows where to find all the best-stocked stores and he knows all the methods for making sure you do not miss out on a single styling piece that has potential. While Ash stocks up on basics that mix and match fantastically, Gavin is more of a statement pieces kind of fellow. His wardrobe is full of glitter, sequins, thigh-high socks, platform boots, and bright colors. Don’t get me wrong, he DOES have his basics… in the very back of the closet. Only to be used when absolutely necessary. XD His go-to "casual" outfit is a pair of neon pink leggings and a MASSIVE oversized t-shirt that slips off both shoulders and goes down to his knees. Not exactly fashion related, but whatever it my post I can do what I want— Gavin is and absolute chapstick and lipgloss ADDICT. He has a specific, almost-clear, peachy pink-tinged, all natural (yes he is THAT bitch) not-tested-on-animals lipgloss that he wears virtually every day. He puts chapstick on every night before bed and has an entire bin of all his different flavors, colors, etc of chapstick. He would 100% wear a choker with a bell on it and clip on cat ears solely for the purpose of flustering someone and/or creeping them out. Two piercings in each earlobe, generally just wears hoops or little rings if he’s feeling more boring.

Asher isn't quite as out there as Gavin, but he also thinks that if anybody is going to judge him for his fashion choices they can just fuck right off. He loves layering— vests, halters, overalls, biker jackets, belts, corset tops and micro mini skirts over pants when he's feeling more adventurous, leg warmers, body chains and fingerless gloves are his Thing. He takes inspiration from a LOOOT of different aesthetics and it really just depends on his mood— alt, cottagecore, goblincore, 80s, light academia, romantic academia, aaaaalllll that good stuff. His favorite casual outfits would consist of smol t-shirts that say something about him (band t-shirt, show merch, etc) paired with baggy jeans, maybe with some patches or rips. Asher. Adores. Jewelry. You KNOW this man owns fifty thousand rings!!! He’s always wearing at LEAST two rings. He often wears those little netting black chokers and owns like three different pop tab necklaces, at least one of which is homemade. Speaking of, he’ll often make his own stuff! He can’t sew, but he’ll hack the sleeves off of a jacket or crop some jeans into shorts no hesitation, and is always painting designs on plain t-shirts and making jewelry out of discarded trash or unwanted beads. He and Milo went to get their ears pierced together when they were both teens. They both like studs the most, but while Milo generally sticks to round black or small silver studs, occasionally mixing it up with some tiny gold or silver rings, Ash has a whole collection of funky studs. Hello Kitties, pokéballs, little fried eggs, lemons, little puppy footprints, moons in all phases, stars, all manner of fruit, tiny sushi’s, tiny pizza slices, metallic strawberries, fuckin mermaids, nothing is too wacky for this man. Baabe gets him a new pair every chance they get.

Milo likes fashion but feels like the community is too competitive and unwelcoming to really get into it. He’ll often tag along to Asher and Baabe's thrift store trips, but he generally just ends up getting… ANOTHER denim or leather jacket. Yeah, this man owns a LOT of denim and leather jackets. He also has a massive, ever-growing collection of enamel pins with which to abuse said jackets. He owns a trench coat solely because it makes him look more intimidating on jobs, according to him. Milo CAN sew, and will embroider little embellishments on the cuffs of his jeans and the collars of his shirts 🥰. He does it to calm himself sometimes, and what it ends up being often completely depends on his mood and what media he’s consumed recently. He has jeans with spiders on the hem, with little howling wolves, with times trees, with bats, with daisies, with paw prints, with stars, even ones with little hearts. It annoys the shit out of him when Asher asks him to modify his clothes "I'm not ya personal tailor, Ash!!" but he’ll do it anyway, with enough weedling. His favorite casual outfit is just an old college tee, a Melanie Martinez shirt, or a Shaw Security shirt paired with a comfy old worn-out pair of jeans that he embroidered LITERALLY all over with whatever he was thinking of at the time.

David really doesn’t care about "fashion" per se, but he likes to feel put together. He generally wears polo shirts and nice jeans on a casual day, a button up and nice slacks on a more formal day, and will add a tie or even a blazer on the most formal of events. The only time Angel approves of his fashion is when he wears flannels with the sleeves rolled up in the fall and winter. 😏

Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn

Here we are again! From what I remember, Josie spends a lot of this episode in her jersey and shorts, so there may not be a lot to say. But let’s find out!

Actually, Josie starts off the epsiode in this white Universal Thread blouse with ruffle sleeves. It’s a bit similar and shape in style than her white blouse from the last episode, but the collar is more traditional, the sleeves are bigger, the fit is flowier, and it just generally looks a little more comfortable. It’s also a button-up, making it fairly standard school-uniform fare, just with lot more personality. The material is somewhat translucent and heathered and the ruffled sleeves are hemmed at the edges to be an isolated detail. Once again, I kind of hate this blouse while simultaneously loving that she wears it. The duality of man.

Once again, a scoop-neck camisole is visible below, as the shirt is slightly translucent, and I would bet it’s the same one or a duplicate. The neckline looks exactly the same. We love a girl who stock-piles multiples of a basic for layering purposes. (Actually, it’s probably the same one. I think it’s fairly standard practice to reuse undershirts once or twice after initial use, so long as there aren’t any major sweat or other stains. But who knows? I also definitely think Josie is neurotic enough to have mutliple.)

I’m once again forced to assume her tie is from ASOS, as I can’t find a listing or google-reverse search Hail Mary anywhere. I think it’s cute (though certainly not my style), but I don’t feel it goes especially well with the outfit. The silver against the white becomes sort of washed out. But the sparkly silver nature of it has a lot more personality than last episode’s tie.

Her hair is also up in her space bun with wisps look! I’m liking it a lot more than I liked her half-up, half-down updo from the first episode. There seems to be a lot of emphasis on pulling her hair back and out of her face and her forehead, though, which is interesting, as I don’t feel like that tendency sticks after the first few episodes.

The whole look is... not really as well-coordinated as her outfits from last episode, though that may be intentional. As mentioned in my last post, she was putting her best face on for the school tour (or what she thinks of as her best face), but she doesn’t have reason for that now. The whole outfit is a little more childlike and playful than her 1.01 outfits, though, especially with her hair styled the way it is. We’re seeing a bit of a different side to her style personality here.

Also interesting: her not being dressed for the football game yet when Lizzie is. In this episode, she seems less invested in the game in general than Lizzie, and we’ll also see her hesitance about using their powers to win later on. Her lack of enthusiasm could be read into pretty easily here.

That being said, there’s not an especially screenshot-able moment here, but she’s wearing her plaid unifom skirt along with it, her blouse tucked in as we’re learning is standard for her, and she’s carrying books with her. So it may be more likely that she had a class before the game, and maybe Lizzie had a free period or something.

Once again, tragically, the shoes are only visible in a blur of movement in .7 second shots, but they’re definitely black and they’re either the loafers from last episode (I can own being wrong!) or black dress shoes. My money’s on the loafers. She’s wearing white socks with them, though interestingly, they’re not knee highs this time, at least while she’s in her school clothes.

The look as a whole reads a lot simpler than her comparable blouse + skirt outfit in 1.01, and more utilitarian.

Adorning her ears are: a two-ring silver cuff sitting highest (maybe hoops, but my best guess would be that they’re not pierced), a gold bar (I think; it’s partially covered by her hair, but this was the best earring shot), and a gold stud directly underneath it.

She’s also sporting some adorable face-paint. Go Stallions!

Aaa, missed one! Her two star-shaped studded flat earrings became more visible in this shot. It’s really cute becaaaauuuse...

Lizzie’s rocking star earrings too! (In the first part of the episode, anyway. She takes them off sometime before the game, which is actually probably smart, lol.) I love finding little details the costume department chose to connect them as sisters and show their closeness. Interestingly, it’s the second episode in a row where Lizzie’s been wearing one longer hanging earring, where Josie’s wearing multiple that rest closer to her ear.

It’s hard to find a lot to say about her outfit when it’s the same as what everyone else is wearing, but: she did change into knee-high socks for the game! They’re striped with grey at the top, giving them a sportier look. Her sneakers are white and striped with either grey or a muted blue. She went for utility here, but makes up for it with the aforementioned adorable hairstyle (that also happens to pull her hair out of her face; smart for running around in the heat), and a ribbon that’s ribbed or sectioned in some way, and matches the cobalt blue of her shorts exactly. (I’m gonna be constantly repeating myself if I keep saying the accesories are likely from ASOS (or a similar store), but that doesn’t make it less true.)

When we next see Josie after the game, she’s dressed for bed in her PJs and she’s let her hair down to fall in its natural waves. The shirt could be from literally anywhere - you can even find a basic scoop neck sleep tee at big box retailers in the apparel sections. Same for the shorts honestly, though these Tangnade drawstring shorts look pretty close. I’m not sure they’re the right shade, though - Josie’s are clearly a muted grey-blue, and the linked shorts fall closer to a pure grey.

Every girl I know (and I’m sure many non-girls too!) have a pajama look like this. It’s probably my go-to, though I would likely trade the t-shirt for a camisole if possible. It’s especially good if you’re someone who overheats easily in the night.

Not pictured, but Josie’s also wearing blue slippers that match her shorts. Cute!

Obligatory “how is Kaylee Bryant so pretty” meltdown. Look at that hair. Oh my god.

Number of Outfits: 3 again!

Favorite Piece: Even though it’s simple, I really like her sleepclothes outfit, as I feel it’s very relatable and Kaylee Bryant can wear simple really well. A big fan of the shorts, personally, as they’re sort of a universal standard.

Okay Thomas has his ears pierced now. This leads me to hope that for each side he will have specific earrings and now bc I am hoping for this I am going to give the Sides different earrings within my own collection.

Sadly I am currently traveling so I can’t add photos.

Starting off Patton would have these cute little blue clouds with a small smiley face. Or the normal little plastic ducks but there backwards (idk how their backwards they were just given to me like that).

Virgil would be these black and purple drippy hearts or a single black stud with this silver earring of a spider on a web.

Roman would have these clear plastic shimmery star shaped lollipops(they are big and dangly and I feel like he would love that) or these rainbow iridescent heart hoops I got in a random village in Hawaii.

Remus would have these bloody knive earrings that are fidget toys(their connected to a chain and can be pulled up and down).

Logan would take my set of star earrings. Basically there’s a few but it mainly consists of gold earrings with chains and simple stars at the bottom. Or just a simple shimmer shaped stud.(I also have like planet studs)

Janus I had a hard time deciding but either these black clay moons that have the moon cycle on them(sorry don’t really know how to explain them) or some big golden hoops.

Omg wait here I took a photo of most of my collection a little bit ago.

Here! You are going to have to search for the ones I said so and some aren’t on here(I put my hoops on my bracelet and necklace holder and I hadn’t put all of them up)

angel!jim thoughts

This reminded me of a character from an urban fantasy novel I first read back in high school (Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light by Tanya Huff, 1989). It's set in the late '80s in the city of Toronto, Canada.

The main protags are Rebecca (a developmentally disabled young woman) and her friend Roland (an aspiring musician).

An Adept of the Light - basically an angel - crosses into our world to help the protagonists stop a demon from taking over Earth via a portal located in the city. Said angel also happens to take the form of a sexy rockstar and Roland discovers he has some gay feelings about it (describing him as a 'heavy metal wet dream').

FINALLY got my second ear piercings now here’s to one month being terrified of fucking them up by idk using earbuds i guess

#ive wanted these since like 9th grade but i was SO scared of the pain ive never even truly considered it #i only got the resolve to actually pierce them early this year and it was really weird bc i was just chatting with my friends and they #brought piercings up and i was like ehh what the hell i should go ahead and get mine #mind you in 2018 (or 19?) i got my four wisdom teeth removed at once. and i didnt have the guts for two little earlobe piercings.#anyway yea it was fine and barely hurt at all and they kinda feel a little #stingy and awkward at times but it was extremely fine.#its a little round silver stud so im looking like basically every fursona ever for now lol #cant wait to swap them out for my little hoops #EDIT: just realised ill be able to swap my earrings before the last eva movie is out this is so sad i wanna watch ittttt

I bring you some goodness of Matty! ~ Matty's a hardcore gamer; he screams and curses a lot, and when he gets too loud, his hearing aid shrieks. Gus is constantly telling him to turn it the fhuck down while gaming, but Matt refuses so he can hear *EVERYTHING* in game Gus: Then suffer Matty: I WILL THANK YOU VERY MUCH! ~ Matt's clingy. Like on the same level of clinginess as Hunter. He cries easily even though he desperately tries to NOT show it and says he's not a cry baby. He was emotionally stunted growing up; his brother meant well but he was a bit of a hard ass sometimes, too. ~ He has many nicknames for Gus including: Auggie ~ August ~ Augustus (when irritable/frustrated/upset) ~ GusGus ~ GussyWuss (when he REALLY wants something) ~ Goop (teasingly) ~ Nerd (playfully) ~ My bitch ~ Mine ~ Babe ~ Sweets ~ TicTac (cause he always smells nice) ~ HATES the color red with a passion. Nobody knows why. ~ Is the *shortest* of everyone in the friend/shipping group. Has abnormally large ears like Ed, too. “I could body your ass with my eyes closed! Tell ‘em, Art Kid!” Jackie calls over to you.

Not looking up from your book, you murmur, “Mhm, three pointers, home run, get the ball.”

Jackie squawks in indignation and Dakota takes the opportunity to drive past him and score another point.

You and the rest of your questionable group of friends are lounging in the living room of Ipomoea. Jackie had decided to make an impulse purchase while the two of you were wandering around the dollar store, one of those cheap plastic basketball hoops that you stick to the back of a door. The two of you had barely entered the building when your best friend challenged Dakota to a one-on-one match.

“You always did give me benchwarmer vibes, Romero.” Dakota tosses the little ball to Jackie with a smug look.

“We’re basically tied, dickwad!”

You and Antigone share a look over the top of your book. She just shakes her head in resignation and finishes cleaning some sort of powdered herb off of her workbench. She mentioned that it was originally a wet bar when the last owner had the place.

“Alright, well-” she brushes off her hands and says “-you two have fun with that.” The aging wood floor creaks under her feet as she makes her way up the stairs. “I’ll take a shower and head to bed.”

At that, Dakota’s head snaps around like an owl. Seeming to sense the danger, Antigone stops in her tracks and eyes him warily.

“What do you wa–”

“If I make this basket, lemme join you.” Dakota is so excited he’s just about vibrating.

His mischievous gaze is met with an exasperated one. Jackie once made the mistake of asking the pair what they were to each other. You remember it well because you were the one who had to apply antiseptic to his cheek when Antigone whipped a vine across it so hard it broke skin. Surface-level evidence suggests that Dakota has some degree of one-sided feelings, but if the attention really was unwanted, you have no doubts that Antigone would make that abundantly clear.

“Dude, we can just go to Mango's tomorrow night and find a girl for you there. This is a non-simping household,” Jackie says, straightening up from his defensive stance.

“As Michael Scott once said: you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” Dakota says matter-of-factly.

“Wayne Gretsky said that.”

“Whatever.”

Dakota turns back to his… girlfriend? Friend with benefits? Mistress? That last one is really weird to think about but you can’t be too sure. Honestly you don’t know. At least the current situation rules out them being related. He gives her puppy eyes that make you almost want to back him up.

After a long consideration, Antigone crosses her arms and leans against the banister.

“Alright, fine. Make it good.”

Dakota whoops and turns to his opponent. “Jackie, come through,” he begs.

It’s Jackie’s turn to wear the evil look. “Oh, no. After you were talking shit for the last hour? No way, your ass is getting cockblocked.”

It’s faint, but you think you hear Antigone mutter “men” under her breath. All things considered, you had to agree.

“We’re doing this the hard way, then. Count us down, sexy mama,” Dakota says, getting into a ready position, Jackie set to defend in front of him. Antigone scrunches her nose at the nickname.

TV’s legs shift in your lap. She covers her eyes with her hands.

“Please don’t hurt each other!” she begs.

Antigone snaps from above, “Be careful without your rivets! I am not fixing your nose a thirteenth time!”

This time it’s Theo’s turn to say something despite him having been blissfully disconnected from the conversation while he perused Antigone’s bookshelves.

“He’s broken his nose twelve times?” he asks in bewilderment.

Rubbing the bridge of her nose, she replies, “Yes, because he is an idiot. His studs aren’t a fashion choice, they keep his nose stable.” Under closer scrutiny, you realize that what you thought were piercings on the bridge of his nose were gone nor did they leave holes.

“It’s fine!” Dakota brings you all back to the matter at hand. ”This will be over quickly.”

“That what your last hookup said to you?” Jackie taunts him. TV claps a hand over her mouth beside you. Even she’s trying to hold in a laugh.

Antigone sighs and with the energy of a slug, begrudgingly counts them down. “Let’s get this over with. Three. Two. One. Go.”

The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. TV shudders beside you and Dakota’s left eye flushes orange. You blink once and all of a sudden Jackie gets thrown into the wall hard enough to crack it, his head smacking loudly against it. The hoop and net are crushed on the floor while the little plastic ball rolls away. There’s a chance your eyes are still catching up with what happened, but you swear the ball is smoking.

“Goddamn,” Jackie groans, sliding down the wall.

Above you, you hear a quiet, “Shit.”

“WHOOOOOOOO!”

The next thing you know, you’ve been hit in the face with a wad of fabric while a shirtless Dakota bolts up the stairs. Antigone takes the opportunity to turn tail and run away with the larger boy hot on her heels. The door slams behind them and the four of you are draped in silence, save for Jackie’s groans of pain.

“I forgot that the power of boners is like having superpowers.” Jackie rubs his aching shoulder.

“I mean, he did have superpowers to begin with, sort of.” TV chimes in.

Theo lounges on the settee. “Is it odd that I sort of want what they have?”

“What even is it that they have?” Jackie asks.

You wish you knew.

you literally felt like you could not sit still. anger was pulsating through your veins as you paced back and forth on the porch of the chateau. you also felt the piercing eyes of pope follow you back and forth as you struggled to form a cohesive sentence.

“it’s just- ugh! she can’t get away with this! she thinks because she’s a kook that i’ll be begging for her forigveness and shit like i’m a starving peasant just to save my reputation! i’m a fucking pogue, i don’t have a reputation to uphold!” you spat as your hands clenched together so hard you swear you were going to accidentally draw blood from your palms.

vanessa was a kook that you never had problems with when you were kids because you two had a friendship that was secretive and playful because of opposing groups. it wasn’t until middle school was when she ditched you, similar to kie and sarah’s relationship. thankfully for them, they sorted it out. however, vanessa was bitter and bitchy every chance she could get.

“yes (y/n)! keep it fiesty! i wanna see you win a good cat fight.” jj egged you on.

“you’re gonna make yourself go crazy if you don’t just sit down.” pope spoke in a sterner tone than you would have expected. but as the rage filled you from vanessa, pope’s tone was not helping. you felt a tinge of hurt in your chest as he expressed his clear stress and annoyance with you. but you weren’t going to let it go that easily; not in this state.

“i’m fine just the way i am, thanks.” you responded just as passive-aggressively as he did. you literally had to restrain yourself from rolling your eyes so you wouldn’t egg this on, because the last thing you needed was for pope of all people to be on your bad side.

you heard him scoff from behind you and his footsteps faded away. you spun around so quickly, maybe even too quickly to play it cool, to just see a flash of him as he turned the corner. your eyes flashed to john b, kie, and jj who had expressions that were just as shocked as your own.

“what’s his problem?” you asked, expecting an answer real quick before you had to go investigate it yourself. your teeth grinded against each other and you felt your face and ears go hot.

“he probably just doesn’t think this is worth it (y/n/n).” kiara stated, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and giving you a look that said don’t let it get to you. kiara shared a quick glance with john b and jj, which definitely did not go unnoticed by you.

“w-what was that? that little look you three shared?” you asked pointing your finger at them interchangeably and confused but angrily eager to find out. you raised your eyebrows, expecting another speedy answer as you finally turned towards jj who held his hands up in defense and bit his tongue.

“cut pope some slack. you’ve been looking for trouble lately (y/n), it’s been keeping him on edge each time.” john b responded and slapped his hands on this thighs before getting up off the couch. you felt your cheeks get a little hot and your jaw drop slightly.

pope was trying to be protective of you. this was not a secret that you and pope were always flirty with each other but neither of you ever acted on it. both keeping the same sad mindset, if they wanted to, they would. everytime you talked about this with kiara and sarah at a girls’ night, they playfully judged you for thinking like that and tried to encourage you to just go for it.

you took a deep inhale and relaxed your shoulders and face, feeling the tension ease up on your body. “she’s asking for it...look i don’t want to make pope upset or anything but vanessa can’t keep pulling this shit. she’s asking for her teeth to get knocked in.” you huffed out as you grabbed your backpack and phone to hop on your bike and head home.

your grabbed your phone and backpack as you headed back outside to your bike. you didn’t even bother to text the rest of the group about catching a ride to tonights kegger because you were just a little fired up from earlier. they were your friends and if this were any other case, they would be backing you up. why is this time any different?

you’re recalling yourself getting ready. stud earrings because she can grab hold of hoops. your hair in two braids because there was less surface area for her to snatch onto. sneakers to make a run for it in case shit gets bad.

what the rest of them don’t understand is that not only was vanessa mean, spoiled, and made your existence on the obx difficult, was that you had a bumpy past with her. more than just losing a friend. she made up a rumor based on fake ideas that she overheard her parents talking about. when she would run into you on the street with her other kook friends at the ripe age of 13, she would be a bystander as they spat insults your way. that always caused a strain in your friendship.

until one day, she started the picking on first. she judged you on your family’s financial situation and said quote-by-quote “i heard her mom cheats on her dad with all of her little pogue friend’s dads. who knows, they could actually be related and we wouldn’t know. she’s a whore and i’m sure she’ll end up just like her.” tears still brim your eyes at that memory. you wouldn’t dare tell the rest of the pogues, whether it was out of embarassment or fear. it was best for them and their own minds that it was never brought up again. since then, it seems like constant torture from her.

you pulled up on the beach and hopped off your bike as your tires were definitely not made for the sand. you laid it on a tree and made a b-line to the keg that john b was basically guarding. “thought we’d hear from you.” you heard kiara state as she sat on the sand and glanced up at you, squinting her eyes to keep the remaining sun from basically burning them.

“yeah well, just got a lot on my mind.” you responded. you didn’t want to be so abrupt with them but your blood was basically boiling with the idea of vanessa. john b stared between you and kiara and handed you a full red solo cup which you gladly took, taking a gulp.

“soooo...” jj started, throwing an arm around your shoulder, “cat fight tonight?” you felt a chuckle rise out of you as you playfully rolled your eyes.

“if you’re lucky enough, maybe you’ll get front row.” you joked, sending a smirk jj’s way and taking another gulp. you felt a presence behind you and turned to be faced with pope. his facial expression had clearly changed from what you saw from him last time. he looked almost guilty and concerned rather than aggravated.

“come to snap at me again?” you said, turning towards the horizon on the water. looking into his eyes right now was difficult. maybe because it was the idea that you knew some part of you wanted to snap at him for him snapping at you earlier but you couldn’t make another enemy. not tonight.

“about that...can i actually talk to you for a minute?” pope muttered, instincitvely cracking his knuckles, clearly scared to tread on water. you felt your shoulders relax and your facial muscles follow suit. placing your drink and backpack on the ground you followed a few paces behind him, closer to the sand where the tide was rolling in. although he didn’t stop, he wanted this to be a walk and talk situation.

you strolled beside him, both of your hands slightly brushing against each other every now and then. while neither of you took initiative to grab the others’ hand, neither of you pulled your hands out of that pathway either. that connection and touch felt nice. it was reassuring that his snappiness, along with your own, was out of love and protection of each other.

“you won’t be happy with what i’m about to say...” pope started, basically holding his breath.

“so why say it, pope? i know it sounds bad to say outloud but, why not just let me fight her? she has made my existence so unbearably difficult on this island and has slandered my name and countless others of those i love too much and for too long. i’m sick of being a pushover and letting her get away with it because of mommy and daddy’s money. im done!” you blurted out, letting more info out than you expected. “why does it bother you so much? if this was topper and john b going at it, or rafe and jj? which keep in mind, both have actually happened, i’m sure you would be more hesitant to stop them.”

your strolling came to a sudden halt as pope took a step directly in front of you, face to face. he looked longingly into your eyes, somewhat darting back and forth between your own eyes to search for an answer to his questions or even an answer to yours.

“(y/n)! i can’t see you get hurt. i know how badly you want to do this and how much it means to you but in the end, what is it going to get you? an even worse reputation among kooks, bloody nose, and a black eye? is it worth it?” pope rambled drasticaly.

“it is worth it! and i’m so thankful that you care about me and my well being and everything in between but this is something that i have to do. once and for all. i’m not putting myself and everyone i love through this torture anymore. and if that means beating the shit out of her and getting a bloody lip and battered up on the way, than so be it!” you responded, using your hands quite animatedly throughout the performance. the waves seemed like the loudest thing on earth as you awaited an answer from pope. he looked defeated and anxious, knowing that there was no getting through to you for this.

“i-” pope started before cutting himself off, looking deafeated yet again. he ran his hands over his face in frustration and as he let his eyes shine over the tips of his fingers, they locked with yours. you felt stuck in place and in a trance for a split second before you felt a pair of hands on your waist and soon enough, you were lip locked with pope.

instantly you pulled away, your heart feeling full and your legs feeling limp. your hands made their way to his jawline, slightly caressing his cheeks and neck as you pulled him back into the kiss, elongating it.

he pulled away, shocked yet proud with himself. you could not help the small smile that made it’s way onto your face as your cheeks felt hot immediately. “i can’t believe i’m saying this but...fuck it. beat the shit out of vanessa.”

the small smile grew as a laugh escaped your lips. you were quick to grab his hand as you both made your way back towards the kegger that was becoming a little more dense as the minutes passed. sarah, kiara, jj, and john b’s eyes were quick to fall on your interlocked hands with pope. both of you kept quiet, playing it nonchalantly. but you couldn’t help but notice pope’s look to john b and jj, all with smirks lined up on their faces.

minimalistic & edgy

my version of a capsule wardrobe, a style based around essentials and basics but with an edgier twist

key colors: black, white, burgundy, rust orange, various shades of brown, earth tones, olive green

key prints: snake, leopard, croc

key textures: vinyl, leather, silk/satin, mesh, rips/tears, lace, denim

key silhouettes: high neck/turtlenecks, tight pencil miniskirts, flare pants, corsets and bustiers, cowl necks, bodycon, combat boots, lingerie as outerwear, baggy pants

soft glam makeup. all matte, 90’s inspired, only shades of brown. sultry eye looks, smokey eyes, maybe some tightlining. contour, defined cupid’s bow, brown lipstick and (optional) gloss, brow pomade, very bright under eye highlight, cat eye falsies, everything applied to make my face look more angular
