Saw someone on Reddit theorize that the reason the Halo show is Like That is because it was supposed to be a Mass Effect show but they couldn’t get the rights so they just licensed some other famous science fiction game series, did some rewrites, and went from there. And I’m intensely disturbed because of how much sense this theory makes, because so much of the show feels like “Halo pretending to be Mass Effect”:
The general focus on internal, smaller-scale human conflicts, intergalactic politics, and relationships with the bigger alien threat building largely in the background.
The Covenant’s motives and reasons for attacking humanity being built up as a mystery like how Mass Effect makes a big deal out of nobody knowing why the Reapers do what they do (in contrast to the Halo games, where the Covenant’s motives are more or less known from the start). Also, how the Covenant aren’t really humanized in comparison to the games, being portrayed more like inscrutable beings using brainwashed human servants like the Reapers.
The frank depictions and discussions of sex and nudity. Halo’s generally always avoided outright sexual content beyond the occasional silly joke (e.g., “he was my lover!”), whereas Mass Effect never shied away from that subject.
The sheer fact that Master Chief fucks at all, and especially that he fucks a woman aligned with the aliens (and is speculated by some to be originally intended AS an alien). Fucking aliens is one of the bread-and-butters of Mass Effect, but can you ever imagine that in a Halo game beyond obvious non-canon gags like Johnson hugging the Elite in CE?
The portrayal of AIs. Cortana is a mix of EDI (AI made by morally dodgy group that slowly aligns with the good guys) and SAM from Andromeda (implanted into Chief’s nervous system rather then just carried in a chip like in the games). More vaguely, the Spartans’s portrayal as basically human robots “rediscovering their humanity” feels eerily similar to the Geth and their whole arc of developing individuality, with Chief filling the role of Legion.
Halsey acts a lot like a female Illusive Man, manipulating people for “the greater good” and lacking a lot of her more sympathetic traits from the games. Similarly, the guy playing Captain Keyes looks and acts A LOT more like Captain Anderson from Mass Effect (seriously, Danny Sapani is the perfect pick Anderson aside from getting Keith David to reprise the role; he’d be an amazing casting choice if this were a Mass Effect show). And just to cap it off, this Makee character is suspiciously similar to Benezia, serving the villains, the sex appeal, and it would explain why so many people get the vibe that she was intended as an alien.
The fact that the whole plot is kicked off when Master Chief goes to colony to find it was attacked by aliens and touches an ancient alien device that gives him a vision… just like Commander Shepard going to Eden Prime and touching the Beacon at the start of Mass Effect.
The way Parangosky is portrayed, arguing with and seeking respect from a Council while also covering for undercover black ops stuff would make a lot more sense as the Citadel Council and the whole subplot in Mass Effect of humanity having to prove themselves as newcomers who have only just got onto the Council (which would also explain Parangosky being made a lot nicer then in canon Halo; she’s a stand-in for the first human councilor in Mass Effect, taking elements from both Anderson and Udina).
This one is kind of a stretch but Kwan and the Madrigal subplot feel ever so similar to Tali and the Quarians (younger girl from a culture on the outskirts of galactic society leaves home and ends up working with her peoples’s perceived enemy and learning they’re not so different — again, lining up with the ”Spartans as Geth” idea). Kwan also seems to take a bit after Ashley, being survivor of the heretic Geth Covenant attack on Eden Prime her hometown and having similar ”angry tough girl” characterization.
Like, no, completely unironically I am one hundred percent sure that this was a Mass Effect script at some point in its production. If so, man, BioWare really dodged a bullet for once, huh?

Yet, as the cliche goes, love always finds a way. Warnings: Suicide mention Author's Note: I wrote this immediately after finishing Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. Idk man I listened to The Pale Elf by Jonathan Young and this appeared in my brain and I had to put it somewhere.

Oddly enough, he was thinking about everything other than the situation at hand. He had accepted the fact that it would hurt. There was no other choice but to accept it. Life is full of pain, after all. He knew that well. But it’s full of so much beauty, too.
He thought about the friends he had made. Some that didn’t like him much at all, others that did. Either way, they were people who stuck together and risked their lives for his, as he did for theirs. They healed him, in some ways. Not just because he was free from the pain he had been forced to endure- though, that really was a treat. No, it was more than that. He was glad to die feeling the sun’s warmth on his skin. He loved that he could go wherever he pleased, do whatever he pleased. It was healing to have that freedom again.
Yet, they couldn’t save him. He knew that- and he knew that they were in denial about it. They would likely be angry with him, wondering if he had given up on them. No, he had just given up on himself; but they could believe whatever they like. Many have thought worse. Their collective anger would subside with time. Wounds would heal again. Even the wounds of the one he cared for most.
They wouldn’t just be angry- they would be grieved. He always knew their heart was far too soft for his. They loved him from the moment they found him. Even when he bore his teeth as a cornered animal, they loved him.
He had told them that he felt the same- that he wanted them from the very moment he had first laid eyes on them. They both knew this was a lie. He was more concerned about survival (and the security of his freedom), and his cold demeanor made it clear that being close to others was not his strong suit.
At the same time, it was hard to ignore his draw to them. Their immediate forgiveness upon the withdrawal of his knife from their neck sent him reeling. He was a monster to everyone but them, even in that moment- he was just another person. Someone with real feelings and thoughts that actually mattered. They were one of the few people who could keep up with his wit, and yet, they were the most gentle soul he had ever had the pleasure of knowing. They could whole-heartedly love the cold surface and the man that hides beneath. Their love just... was that way.
He really had come to love them, though. He was putty in their hands; a now-willing slave who would use whatever power he had to move the heavens and the earth for them without a second thought. Yet, he had never said it out loud. He couldn’t. He would never be able to do what must now be done if he had.
And so, with a steak leveled at his own chest, hands shaking as they might, he thought not of this moment. The darkness of his memories and the promise of their reprise had driven him here. The warmth of the sun was the only thing to embrace him now. Yet, his thoughts were on the beacons of light that were his friends. His mind wrapped itself in the comfort of his lover, who could gently carry him unto death through memory alone. Now, he would finally embrace the once thing he had begged for over the last 200 years. His fists tightened around the steak as he began to press it into his chest.
Then they called out his name.
Their voice was no longer an echo in his mind.
They were there, calling for him out loud, their quivering voice echoing against the cliffside.
“There is another way,” they pleaded, desperation clear in their face as he finally opened his screwed-shut eyes to meet their gaze.
Suddenly, his plan was ruined before it began.
They ran to him, and rested their hand on the stake that still pressed against his chest. A drop of blood ran down his torso with the same heaviness as a tear running down a cheek. It teased him with death; with the power that would now hold, and the power that was now lost.
“You’ve made me soft,” he whispered, eyes watering. How dare they, he thought, less in offense and more in helplessness. He would not go like this. He could not go like this. Not when they would beg him to stay.
They'd saved him once- perhaps, against all odds and demons and gods that were pitted against him, they could save him again. Perhaps they already had; perhaps the victory was already claimed before the fight even began. They had a way of doing that with the ease of a breath- cheating time for those they loved.
They gently took the stake out of his white-knuckled hands. “I know,” they murmured, kissing his cheek.
He folded into them, finally able to relax completely. It was like the two of them fit together perfectly; like every moment they spent apart strained against their very nature. They were meant to be like this- together.
He resolved that, if he was never to be freed from his burden, so be it. At the very least, his taste of wretched freedom had granted him the beauty of the purest love. That could sustain him for eternity, if that were his fate. If the two of them died trying to promise his freedom, at least they tried. Hope had pierced his hardened heart and promised light in a never-ending night. He no longer knew how to do anything but strive for it.
As they held him in silence, he finally confessed his love in words.

RG is vital to the story and with the set up I can easily see Oscar and Ruby being sort of main focus for V10….what would you like to see from them in V10 and what volume are we getting the confession?

i'm gonna try and not turn this into an entire essay, but this is all I think about, okay?
I think about The Gift of the Moon fairytale and how it mimics Ruby's story. A sun that fell and shattered, spilling out all her light, before becoming the dimmer moon. And in her absence, the people lifted up a new, artificial sun in the sky and how it shone brighter than she had ever managed to before, and I think about how that will influence the Vacuo arc.
It's either going to be Ruby thrown into it all again like she never left, the Beacon of Hope has a busy schedule and she best get to work. Since rather than dimming after her fall, she's shining brighter than ever before...
Or if Oscar, as the last defacto leader remaining in the wake of Ruby and Jaune's 'deaths', will have taken on that mantle to a more serious extent. If there's going to be some struggles of balancing who should do what before they finally settle on just sharing the burdens together (smth they've been pushing towards since v6). But the way Oscar and Ruby's arcs over v8 and v9 respectively have been such strong parallels to each other, there's no way Vacuo, the desert kingdom, after weeks or months or longer of separation, isn't going to be the arc where the Little Prince and the Rose reunite and work together.

“So how is our guest, settling in?” Ozpin asked his Deputy Headmistress Glynda Goodwitch.
“She’s had a good meal and a well needed shower.” Glydna replied, “I have also scheduled an examination for her with the infirmary to happen tomorrow.”
“Good, though I would like the examination to be a complete one.”
“Should I know why?”
“While I seriously doubt that her… escorts would have damaged her, I do not feel they entirely left her alone, considering…”
“I see.”
“So, what are your impressions of Lady Arc?”
“She is strong-willed to the point of being obstinate. Though she had not been open to me about anything in specific, I am under the impression she is in trouble.”
“You could say that.” Ozpin replied as he continued to stand looking out his windows at the Emerald Forest. “What do you know of the situation the Arcs have found themselves in?”
“I only know what has been in the news. Is there more?”
“There is. Nathaniel Arc was a terrible gambler and investor, and to hide his losses from his family, it appears he incurred loans from some… disreputable people here in Vale.”
“Loan Sharks.”
“Upon his death, they came looking for the money, and have basically bankrupted the family.” Ozpin turned from the window to face Glynda as he took a seat on the window sill. “In an effort to protect her children, Jasmine made arrangements for several of her daughters to marry into rather influential families. The Schnee, the Nikos, and the Winchesters.”
“That’s only three daughters. If I can recall, the Arc’s boasted eight.”
“Three of the eldest are already out on their on supporting themselves, and with families. Their futures are not in question. Joan is the eldest of the five that are in danger.  Well, the eldest of the three in question, as the other two are under the age of eight.” Ozpin inhaled slowly before continuing. “Now danger is the wrong word, but it is applicable seeing as that is how Joan is taking the arrangements.”
“So I assume instead of a dowry, there is a bride price?”
“Correct. The bride prices would remove the remainder of Nathaniel’s debit, and allow the family to recover.” Ozpin sighed. “It is a remarkable achievement of diplomacy that Jasmine was able to manage such contracts, considering.”
“So while I am not a proponent of arranged marriages, I know they happen. So What is the issue as you understand it?”
“Joan thinks it’s unfair of her mother to ‘sell’ off her children against their wishes. The other sisters have raised similar concerns, though Joan is more against the arrangements with the Nikos family’ and the Schnees, rather than her own with the Winchesters”
“What was her plan?”
“She was attempting to get to Junior, and sell herself for more time to pay off the debits.”
“What? That is insane! She was willing going to put herself in a very dangerous position just for time?”
“That was my feeling as well.” Ozpin sighed again. “Be that as it may. She is here now, and she’s safe.”
“So what are we going to do? She can’t stay cooped up at Beacon, and she’s not a student, so…” Glynda’s eyes narrowed, when she noticed a twitch in the corner of Ozpin’s eyes, “You badgered her in to attending, in exchange for something…”
“I offered to step in and… smooth the…”
“Apply pressure of reprisals via Qrow if the Sharks didn’t back off.”
“Maybe.”
“Did she accept?”
“She has not given me an answer yet, though regardless I am going to step in to a degree, along with informing her mother of her location.”
“You have something else in mind as well. I can tell.”
“What do you know of Aura Constructs?”

Why do you hate TLM 2? I always thought it was alright. I never cared much for TLM 3.
There are soooo many reasons. Also, want to preface with I understand there's a sizeable TLM 2 fandom that's developed in recent years and def am not looking to ruffle any feathers! Everyone can like with they like and dislike what they dislike and have their own opinion...but I'm going to start with listing what I admired about the film, before I go into why I really can't stand it.
Jodi Benson's voice acting! I didn't like her performance at all in the third film, but in this movie, her singing was laced with a beacon of motherly light that was so incredible. From the ethereal humming in the first scene, where she's in the shadowed room and gently singing her devotion to her small child, there was something special in the air. Her unreal harmonies in For a Moment are some of the best vocals of all time.
Kenneth Mars reprising his role felt so in character and he was such a delight. Sebastian's voice was too but Kenneth just had this regal strength to him and he had all the weight and emotional impact of Triton from the original film, but with this underbelly of softness that was exposed and he was so tender and loving...his character seemed to be the most in line with what would've organically transpired from the first film. Everyone else is wildly out of character (aside from maybe Sebastian and Scuttle and Flounder, but that was because the writers just made them do exactly what they did in the first movie down to giving Sebastian the same plot device lol)
Flounder was cute. Not much to go into here but he did make me giggle lol
Ariel getting her feet wet was such a powerful moment. Taking off her heels and immersing a part of her back into that world where gravity was different and she was young and things felt almost weightless is such a vibe. I also admired her transition back to a mermaid for similar reasons- releasing her from that mom bun and that terrible dress, her being able to plunge back into the sea, being able to re-connect with her roots.
Okay, so the reasons why I can't stand it and, overall, dislike it:
I came to this movie as an Ariel fan and...we were done dirty tbh? They totally changed her temperament, her personality, her motives- in a way that wasn't just "oh she grew up and developed" but like...that's not her and this movie's cheap writing tried to make her into someone she wasn't so that the story could go down the way that it did. Most of the people who love this movie love it because of Melody, which is fine, but like...as someone who came for Ariel, the fact that she wasn't a main character was lowkey disrespectful? It think it also contributes to this idea that once you "grow up" or just age or have children, you can no longer be the main character and you have to be delegated the background so that the next generation can have their moment. More on this in another bullet. But yeah, nothing of the original Ariel was here- none of her passion and spirit and love. None of her quirks and hobbies and interests. It was just "protect Melody!"
The walrus and the penguin...I'm not a fan of Timon and Pumba type of characters and the fact that they took up so much of the runtime genuinely made this unwatchable to me. Like, we couldn't get more of Ariel, but they could be forced down our throats???
Morgana was uncompelling to me. I don't really like her design or her sidekick or her backstory. Just...eh.
The absence of Howard Ashman was really felt. Now, growing up, I have to admit I don't think too much about him and would frankly get irritated when people kept bringing him up over, and over, and over again as the sole credit to The Little Mermaid's success. I felt it discounted the director's talents, those of Glen Keane and Andreas Deja's, as well as Jodi and Pat's, and just the other members of the creative team without which this franchise never would've found legs. BUT in recent years, I was beginning to ask myself why I feel Ariel so rarely retains that original energy about her from the first film. For instance, there's none of Ariel in this sequel movie to me and even less of her in the third, and I wondered why that was. For the original three princesses, the reason the characterizations are flawed in the sequels and spin-offs is due to the lack of input and involvement from Adriana, Ilene, and Mary- but since Jodi was involved in everything Ariel had anything to do in, why did the character not always live up to who she was in the original? And I honestly think the missing piece was Howard. Regardless of anyone's personal politics or beliefs are, The Little Mermaid is THE LGBTQIA+ fairytale. It was written by a gay man and adapted by another gay man (Howard Ashman) and so much of the character of the original mermaid and Ariel carries the experience of a closeted gay person. This simply can't be adapted by a straight person and still have its artistic integrity intact (which is why I'm admittedly uncomfortable about the live action remake...there isn't a single person involved that is anything but straight, from what I've seen, and the lack of diversity in the cast with Eric, Ursula, and even Triton being white is another red flag for me considering they said they wanted to set this film in the Caribbean but the film features a majority white cast). They took Ariel from who she was in the original movie, written and adapted by a gay man with that characterization and created in the 1980s, and they essentially made her into like a WASPy suburban mother and I just...that's not my Ariel.
Overall, it's uninspired. It's literally just a next generation story with no creativity to it in my opinion. Also, as I mentioned, the characters themselves have so many places to go without needing to give birth to a kid who just relives the original movie all over again but with younger characters.
The animation wasn't expressive. I understand it's going to be a downgrade but...yikes. They went from Glen Keane's iconic animation (I honestly think his work on The Little Mermaid is solely what launched him into being a legend; like yes, his other work is great and deserves its flowers, but the fact that he did the Part of Your World sequence was probably the highlight of his career) to something that felt Rugrats level.
I was just so frustrated with the stealing of a trident and ugh in general the plotpoints annoy me and not in a way that's suspenseful but just in a "I hate that this is happening"
In the original film, what made Ariel and King Triton's relationship so potent was that it mirrored that of a homophobic, intolerant parent and a gay teen. Also, before anyone contradicts me, as I've mentioned before, it's meant to be queer-coded...someone once reblogged my post, disagreeing, and saying that while Ariel and Eric's love was forbidden and even considered illegal and they were from different species, they were still different sexes and thus could never be queer-coded and I think this person is missing the "coded" part of that definition lol but anyway, Ariel and Triton's dynamic had layers and was so raw and real. Ariel and Melody's relationship is literally just a "don't worry, I felt different too at your age, sweetie! It's not easy for anyone to be a teenager" and the entire plot of the film is centered around timing. Where Ariel left Atlantica after Triton destroyed her collection, invaded her personal space, attacked her, and essentially told her he'd never accept her, the plot of this sequel is only propelled by Ariel not catching Melody to tell her in time about her mermaid heritage. Literally, if she came into Melody's room a few minutes earlier, that entire thing never would've happened lol and that's the other part of it- throughout the film, Ariel is willing to talk to Melody multiple times??? So like...whereas Ariel had no resources, but still showed love for Triton, Melody didn't really have that. Look at the difference between how apologetic Ariel was when Triton appeared near the end of the film and how she attacked Ursula for taking the trident. Melody ignored Ariel when she tried to talk to her and handed the trident over to Morgana lol
The entire thing is aged/watered down. The original was a theatrical release, where the mandate was to write from 8 to 80 as a demographic. The direct to video release had a Pre-K to 12 audience and...yeah
The setting being weird and cold and icy did nothing for me. Like the original film made the underwater scenes look like that- apart from Under the Sea which purposely was bright and colorful and vibrant- because they wanted us to understand why Ariel, a mermaid that had always been in the dark, cold ocean, would be so infatuated by the warm kingdom of Prince Eric. To go back to the sea but make the entire thing grey and icy with a bland sky didn't make me want to go to the ocean lol

There is much more paralleling, reference and foil to Ozlem than what I've just provided above for demonstrative purposes. I intend to do a rewatch to really gather everything together but you can as always see more under my Reverse Ozlem tag. Plus, once you see it, you can't unsee it. Lol.
This is more or less my working approach to Reverse Ozlem as it relates to Knightfall:
The null hypothesis
There's nothing to it. Any visual, conceptual, emotional, thematic paralleling is purely coincidental. This is the usual refrain from the sceptic; to make the case it's not null you need to be demonstrating that the text employs visual, conceptual, emotional, and thematic paralleling. RWBY is up to the gills with it that the exercise is left up to the reader. It really can't be overstated that it's everywhere in the story. Characters like Penny even proclaim 'it'll be just like Beacon!' when Atlas is sort of like Beacon and then sort of isn't. They know, we know. Anybody trying to argue otherwise is probably operating from a position of bad faith. The harder and more realistic argument is to what degree it is being used. I generally lean towards the most straightforward interpretation and pay attention to what's meaningfully being said and communicated without stretching it too hard. Easier said than done, but this is also why I write out posts like this; sometimes you just see what you want to see, and when you have a hammer everything is a nail.
So, null is probably the least likely, but it's worth getting out of the way. Ozma reincarnates and Salem is undying; their problems are everybody else's in a metaphorical and literal way repeating over the story. Of all the poetic ideas in the story, Ozlem is the biggest deal, so anything referencing, paralleling or reprising Ozlem in any way is doing significant things for the story.
2. Subversion
Jaune/Cinder is a subversion or reprisal of Ozlem which is a negative one. 'Subversion' here is used in the sense that the set-up is that you'd generally expect the relationship to be redeemed based on the stakes set out in the story and the other relationships which reprise and redeem Ozlem - e.g. Blake/Yang (-Blake/Adam), Ren/Nora, Ruby/Oscar, etc. In this case the treatment of Cinder should in some way be contrasting with Salem in that Cinder's treatment is for some reason unsympathetic. I don't know why they'd do this, but it's the only explanation I've got. As I mentioned in the other post, the subversion also operates under the idea that in the specific enemies circumstance - unique to Jaune/Cinder right now outside of Emerald/Mercury - the relationship cannot be redeemed. So there's a limit put on it. It's appreciating one aspect of the relationship, but Jaune's not meant to be with Cinder. Whomever he does end up with should instead answer Ozlem in a different way (e.g. Ozma moving on from Salem). Again probably expecting less sympathetic treatment of Cinder here and really similar potentially even goes for Salem. I would again be expecting there to be some specific statement about Salem and why Salem is specifically villainous and narratively punished (even if redeemed in some small way).
To really motivate this interpretation you'd need to establish why Cinder's redemption won't be a thing, or won't be a strong idea, and why Salem (who famously can't be killed) will have a nonviolent resolution which is also one that doesn't reprise her connection with Ozma in any way. There are a lot of working variables but the ultimate statement is that at least for Jaune and Cinder, the relationship can't be fixed. There's some upper limit on it.
I don't really know why the average audience member would be meaningfully expecting Jaune/Cinder, though. There's no expectation to subvert. So they would need to go to pains to establish it romantically as being in question (e.g. onesided romance or star-crossed 'toxic' romance as examples), and then refute it.
3. Reprisal/redemption
This is the one I keep circling back to. It's the cleanest. It's the simplest. Ozlem is lovers to enemies and Knightfall is enemies to lovers. Straight-up uncontested redemption, romance, paradigm shift of the story, utilising Jaune's Semblance and Cinder's Maiden power in a unique way, Jaune ends up with the Fall Maiden type dramatic irony. It's elegant. Everyone wants to be them. Jaune and Cinder are meaningfully connected just not in the way people expected. It's the complete set-up for how Ozlem is overall dealt with in the story. It's the missing component. It's the bit that solves everything. The visual, conceptual, emotional, thematic paralleling has a job to do and it's doing it beautifully. If Ozlem is romantic then so is Jaune/Cinder and it was the secret story there all along no one noticed, which is playfully thematically relevant.
You can see which one I lean towards because the thirdmost one is the most straightforward. It's uncomplicated. It's a little ironic. It's unexpected but it makes sense. Why frame Jaune/Cinder like Ozlem and vice versa and separately put their characters through what Ozlem have gone through (Grimm curse and all) if you're not going to do something with it?

Solar, the needleworker
Content: death, existentialism (is a bit of a sad one), gore adjacent (vague description of the void wanting/trying to eat something).
This tale technically does not start itself in the void but it may be the place to start telling it anyway. Just know that I will be telling this story as a mere spectator of the whereabouts of the space between and its inhabitants, but it is not mine to be lived in a sense.
You must know that time does not pass in the void but it does pass through it. It is not able to function in its normal expanded state since the void coalesces around it harshly; that’s why it condenses itself in the most fine thread thought possible, and links the times of ‘times’ -the timelines, the alternatives universes- together. Is it obvious that time as a natural force has existed as long as the concept of reality emerged, a constant of evergoing lines that stretched forward; a web of interlocked strings that extend to infinity. 
Recently though… there have been some new developments; time was overlapping itself, cut and reattached constantly over and over…and over…and over… 
Recently though… there have been too many intersections, cut and reattached parts on those threads made by the endless resets and overwrites. 
Recently though, soon enough, from all the going back over and over again, some knots had begun to form, corrupting the strings and creating void tears without anybody opening them. 
As you may know, beloved, time and space are tightly knitted together. There are just a few beings that use that to their advantage; certain skeletal individuals -maybe I should call them multiples since there is such a large amount of them- have the ability to travel through the in-between to arrive to another space without altering its time current. Those beings are clumsy sometimes; they are living, they're made to make mistakes.
I said before that this tale does not start itself in the void, right?
That's because it starts with one sad and tired classic.
Sans woke up with a startled gasp, the memories of a time that no longer existed swarming his mind harshly as he sat up in his bed; hands cradling his head in an attempt to cease the intense thrumming that threatened to split his skull in two at this rate. He knew what was coming now, they reseted so Papyrus was going to knock at his door and those infernal days would begin yet again; maybe if he was lucky it would be a pacifist run this time and he would have some days of reprise to forget about all the dust that fell in the one before. 
Soon enough the loop began and his brother yelled at him for sleeping in, signaling the start of the run; he knew what came now, he was going to teleport to his brother and then go and wait in the snow before the door to the ruins waiting for the child to emerge. He opened the portal tiredly, sighing softly, and stepped through. What he couldn't expect was how, as he was in the middle of the gateway, half one place half the other, blue strings would tear his world apart.
He was falling.
The pained screams were left unheard as the void slowly ate him inside out; he was a foreign object, stranded, lost in the space between spaces. There was no way to get out without knowing exactly where he was so he drifted, even though he couldn't feel the motions of the void beaconing him closer to its center… his soul and body fading piece by piece to black, to nothingness. His last thoughts as he was consumed were delirious, his blurry vision confusing the endless void where his dust drifted out, shining with the last light of his soul; the last frail thread of his voice was one of peaceful contemplation.
“Ah...At least I got to see the stars...”
The void was starving, it wanted that soul to be its; it had been long since a living being fell upon its hands and he was voraciously welcoming what was left of the skeleton to come closer to its center. It wanted to savor it, eager for the release of energy a consumed soul emitted as it was feasted on. In its rush to beacon the soul closer before it disappeared the void was tactless and the tired, sad Sans grazed upon my threads. 
Ah, have I forgotten to mention? I am the narrator, I am time, I am the one that looks upon your stories as they tear me apart one knot, one reset and overwrite, at a time. As so, who could blame me, at the moment when that lost soul brushed my existence, for giving it the chance to live on? Since this occurrence was an anomaly, an opportunity for me. You see, dear, I cannot displace myself, even if I always move forward I cannot undo the knots that plague my strings; I had always been at the mercy of myself and the beings that bane my existence. But a creature with a soul tied to the void, with the ability to move through the space between spaces... ah... that one can help me, indeed. As so, when it touched my strings I threaded through it, binding the last remaining fragments of his soul to the void invading his body; I held upon it, rebinding -remaking- his existence.
That is how a story that started so.. so many times before met a different end; one that meant a new beginning.

How do you suppose Sienna Khan could've had more of a presence pre-Volume 4? Maybe a few scenes of Adam whitewashing his transgressions to her?
If it were me I'd have had her be at the Belladonna household when Blake arrives.
So the scene is shifted up a lot as we don't time skip and follow Blake inside where she sees Sienna and attacks. Sienna more or less lets it slide, noting she thought it might help Blake to get some catharsis.
The Albains are with her and Blake's parents/Kali are quick to explain Sienna was there explaining the situation to them and Sienna fills Blake in.
Basically, as far as she knew, Adam's camp got wiped out, so he had to send the Vale Branch into hiding while returning to her side in case of more attacks. Her forces were beset by raids which led her to believe sabotage but Adam was working with her through it so she didn't suspect him. By the time she had things under control Adam dropped off the face of the Earth and re-emerged around the time of the Breach and with Vale in lockdown she couldn't call him back or intercede with the Fall of Beacon.
They'd go on to cover that in the wake of Beacon's fall Sienna has been extremely busy. Her agents in Vale are helping evacuate Faunus being targeted by reprisal violence, reinforcing Kuo Kuana and other Faunus linked settlements and are searching for who was behind Beacon and for Adam to penalize him. She offered a layered apology to Blake for not 'seeing' who Adam truly was before promising to dispense with him so she need not worry and leaves.
The Albain's separate from her and muse on whether aiding Adam is the right call. They ultimately decide to go forward because they think he can be controlled where Sienna can't and that they can betray his human allies and take their weapons for themselves.
Beyond that, maybe have her referenced by others a little but otherwise I feel that'd do the work of establishing Sienna's goals, ideals and plans. This would make it harder for Adam to backstab her as he did, but if she had to (seemingly) die.... then you could just have it revealed her secret base is operating on a skeleton crew & that Adam only brought some die hard loyalists with him and cut out as he, his followers and Hazel go in for an attack. Cutting back later to reveal most of them dead, Adam severely fucked up and even Hazel being bloodied to hell and back.

Okay so Ice Queendom??
I haven't watched it yet, honestly I think I'm gonna hold off until the English dub is out....As great as the Japanese VAs are, the CRWBY are the definitive version of those characters to me and I want my first watch of the show to be with them reprising their roles.... Overall I'm still far more hype for Vol.9
That being said, from the screenshots I've been reblogging....I looks, really pretty.
My sticking point is that it feels like all of the new looks and everything we saw is going to end up being the product of a nightmare Grimm and the entire plot is going to be resolved with "And it was all just a dream" which I'll admit.... I'm not a fan of.
Although the fact that is the ending to "The Wizard of Oz" is honestly hilarious to me considering this is happening at Beacon.
That being said, people who've actually watched the episodes that are out, what do you think so far?

The Mosley Review: Star Wars: Andor

For the longest time, the quality of the Star Wars franchise has been lackluster. In animation it has had no equal, but in live action there has been a dramatic decline in storytelling and growth. The Mandalorian was that wake up call that breathed new life into the galaxy, The Book of Boba Fett made the air a little foul and most recently Obi-Wan Kenobi made it go stale. The hope for great stories in the franchise that challenged you the viewer and its characters was fleeting. This new series was the last beacon of light that could either reinvigrate the galaxy or just plunge it even deeper into despair. Well I am so happy to say that this series did the former and brought Star Wars into the realm of more adult storytelling that I've wished to see since Rogue One opened the door. The first 4 episodes alone let you know exactly what this show is all about and the exact tone it is promising throughout. The angle of espionage and relevant themes of political games, oppression, fascism and terrorism has always been apart of Star Wars, but now we get the chance to see the players and the people those decisions effect. The level of duality between the birth of the Rebellion vs the overbearing oppressive and order driven Imperials is brilliantly explored as you get to witness both perspectives of each factions. I have been waiting for something like this to happen and my goodness did this show deliver. There are so many emotional moments within this show that creep up and the moments of absolute brutality whether it be pure violence or torture, are expertly crafted to show how each character is effected and/or corrupted.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor as we follow the character about 10 or so years before the events of Rogue One. We get to see the origin of the character with a number of retcons, but they were not necessarily too bad. I liked that he started off as basically a scoundrel that’s constantly down on his luck, but he has a heart of gold. He was way more relatable and unrefined and I loved that he wouldn't hesitate to take a life. He is in a desperate and sometimes dark place, but he is constantly learning how to survive and adapt to every predicament he finds himself. Fiona Shaw was so amazing and motivating as his adoptive mother Maarva Andor. She brought the gravitas to every word of wisdom and caution spoken to Cassian. There is a fight that never dies within her and she let it be known. Her chemistry with Andor was one of the guiding lights of morality throughout. Dave Chapman voices her personal droid B2EMO and he stole my heart by the end of the series and broke it in so many ways with his dry and yet emotional responses to Andor, Maarva and others. Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen was absolutely brilliant. She gets put through the ringer in this show and I can't stress enough how amazing her performance is in the latter half of the season. Her bond with Andor is strong, but not the typical focus. Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha was awesome and I loved that she was loyal to the cause. She was steadfast, but she was ready to ask questions as she acted as the moral compass of the Rebellion. Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz was awesome and badass as her companion. When there was bloodshed needed, she didn't hesitate and was always ready. Stellan Skarsgård was nothing short of fascinating as Luthen Rael. He is the most elusive, cunning and plotting character of the series and I loved his complexities. Behind every action he makes is a sort of sorrow, but he is emboldened by his successes as he knows he is fighting for a greater good. He carries so much on his shoulders and you see it in an iconic scene that sums up his resolve. I loved his relationship with Andor, Vel and especially his personal agent Kleya Marki played wonderfully by Elizabeth Dulau. The two of them are deticated and she also keeps Luthen on mission. Genevieve O'Reilly reprises her role as Mon Mothma and my god was she outstanding. Through her we get the pleasure of seeing the political ramifications of fighting the Empire from within while trying to stay hidden. Genevieve adds so much depth, emotion and backstory to the beloved character. There are some amazingly tense moments with her navigating the waters of whom she could trust within and some emotionally gut wrenching scenes involving her past and family.

As I said before, this series explores both sides the Star WARS and it was very refreshing. Kyle Soller was unnerving and an interesting character study as Syril Karn. He starts off as the A typical perfectionist and he wants everyone to be their best at all times even when it wasn't that serious. He was basically a glorified small town deputy in a place where the worst crime someone could commit is public intoxication. The transformation this character goes through is something that is born of trauma once he gets a real taste of the beginning of a bigger threat. His obsession with capturing Cassian is almost stalker like with the look in his eyes. Anton Lesser was great as the head of the Imperial Security Bureau Major Partagaz. He was quick witted and no nonsense and I loved that he was open to strong suggestions to ending the growing rebellion. He truly represented the head of what one would call the gestapo of Imperial forces. It was scary how efficient and unrelenting he was. Speaking of unrelenting, Denise Gough was outstanding as Dedra Meero a supervisor in the ISB. Her whole arc in the show went from you routing for her as she fights her way to being a recognized and respected voice in the ISB council to completely hating what she becomes. Her work ethic was exceptional, but as we all know, true power corrupts in the wrong hands. She quickly becomes the very definition of a fascist leader for the modern age. George Lucas fashioned the Empire as oppressive and fascist regime and she embodies his vision as the series progresses.

The score was absolutely insane and I loved every second of it. Nicholas Britell has given new life to the titular characters' existence and he has brought so much dramatic power to the galaxy. His orchestration is truly unique as there is a growing tension in every note and emotional turmoil to every crescendo. I loved that he experiments with different variations of the great Andor theme. It sets the mood of the each episode and rebuilds back to its classic form by the end. Its been a long time since I've loved a television score and this is definitely on the list of one of my favorites. Visually the show is stunning and breathtaking as it is shot on location and it has so many design influences from other famous films like Blade Runner and George Lucas own THX 1138. It looks consistently in line with Rogue One and I can't wait to see it all eventually lead up to the film. I can't truly gush enough about how this show truly surprised and enthralled me from beginning to end. I haven't been so emotional involved in live action Star Wars since season 2 of The Mandalorian. This finally takes Star Wars away from the fun and sometimes overly nostalgic realm and brings it down to the more gritty and real world stakes of the people living in the galaxy. This was everything I've always wanted to see and I can't wait for Season 2! Do stick around for an EPIC plot point payoff at end of the season finale credits. summary; alec, scott’s new beta has a thing for liam’s girl, and sufficed to say, liam is anything but happy about the predicament / warnings; jealousy, smut, some choking, fucking in a playground, daddy kink, mentions of masturbation, mentions of phone sex, mentions of exhibitionism, oral sex (fem receiving).
the boy with anger issues was feeling a rage boil in his veins; they were in scott’s home, he had came back from college for a break, and thus, alec had joined in meeting with their alpha, though, not all his attention was reprised upon said pack leader.
there was a movie flashing upon the screen, you sat cross legged on the couch, whilst liam had been sent to the kitchen to grab a bowl of popcorn. he could feel his hand putting amble pressure on the plastic bowl, as he watched you explain every dumb thing occurring in the motion picture film.
alec was acting clueless on purpose, he could tell, more so since when he had first joined the pack, he had made such moves on you. and spoiler, eventually they had been successful. you were the same age as scott, meaning that you too had returned to beacon hills for your half term clause in the higher education, and liam wanted you to spend every moment with him, not this stray.
it took all his supernatural strength to restrain the growl threatening to rumble from his chest, his claws bent into the flesh of his palms, drawing a pooling of blood to the tether down from the self inflicted wound. scott smelt the blood, and wrinkled his nose at the scent that invaded his nostrils; he thought liam had his issues under control, but supposedly not entirely.
he couldn’t help himself, alec was trying his best, slyly glancing down your top, and he got he was only a hormonal teenage boy, same as him, but you were his girl. a rumble, resembling the natural force of thunder echoed around the living space, drawing all eyes, human and otherwise, in his direction.
the growl that had erupted from his chest had been possessive, a warning to the young, adopted beta, who quickly adjourned his arm away from the back of the couch, and shuffled from right beside you.
“li, are you good?” in an instant you removed yourself from where you were sat, walking towards him, and smoothing his shoulders over with your palms, watching as he heavily breathed. amber eyes flickered up to you, making you gulp; you now understood what had him so relentless and blunt with his aggression.
“i want to leave.” it wasn’t a question, it was a defiant statement. in turn, you nodded, grasping anything you needed, such as you jacket, and pulling it over your arms, liam quickly heading out, without bidding either of the boys a goodbye.
“see ya.” you waved at the pair, you would apologise for liam’s behaviour later to scott, he of course understood the situation nevertheless, he had been his alpha for a long time now. a hand grasped you as soon as you exited, pillowing roughly into your skin as he dragged you down the street, his pace quick and daring.
“you think i didn’t notice that beta’s eyes drifting down to your cleavage or him practically pawing for your attention.” he had stopped the two of you outside of a playground, you gulped, listening to him with an adjacent inclination.
“liam, there’s no need to be jealous.” your words had the priority of calming his angered exterior, though it happened that you had done rather the opposite. there was a firm line deposited between his dark brows, a frown that was aimed towards you directly.
“me, jealous? oh no, i know that you’re mine, but it comes to the question, do you?” he bit his lip, tensing the bridge of his nose as he moved his face closer to your own. “for all i know, at college, you don’t even let anyone know that you’re in a relationship, it could be your little secret, so you can fuck whomever you want.”
“that’s something i’d never do, you know that!” his accusations were flimsy, that much was liable, though although knowing that all his words came out of a place of secluded insecurity, you still felt the necessity to defend yourself. if you played his game, it would make him subconsciously doubt himself, and possibly believe the things that he was saying were true.
“do i?” the beta pried. liam made directories closer towards you, taking steps to discern your defence, letting his hand ravel up, and close around the front of your neck. your breath instantly hitched, as he wordlessly stated the power he had over you; not to mention, he was stronger, and he was irked, meaning that he would go to any lengths to prove his point, or lack of one.
“liam.” your hands came up to scratch at the exterior of his, worried that he would do some prominent damage, but rather than releasing his grip, he tightened his fist, triggering a hitch in your breath, and a uncoordinated, surprising moan to fly from your lips, as though your body was inherently howling at him for more.
“does my girlfriend like that? i think she likes daddy having his hand around her throat, don’t you baby? are you daddy’s dirty girl?” his slick words made your brain disintegrate into a contortion of confusion; more specifically, riddled with uncertainty, searching for a reason as to why his mature words were affecting you so.
there was no question about the matter, he was well adorned with the specifics of how it was affecting you. the reverberating of your heart thumped in his ears, like drums of a sacred matter, telling him how your hormones crazed, thundering with potential submission, that alternately had your knees quaking, fighting to remain standing.
then, there was the intoxicating aroma that scaled up to his nose from between your legs. that alone was a dead give away, he was lucky that it hadn’t killed him in the dead of night yet. being apart from you for so long had drove him borderline insane, one touch from you had him swooning, wanting nothing more for your hands to drift and intimately pet him.
phone calls, as erotic as some of them were, was just enough. the two of you were sectioned off for education in different counties, the distance pained him, in more ways than one. sometimes he’d wake up with a throbbing appendage between his thighs, begging for attention, more specifically, yours.
his hand got by, completing the job, but it wasn’t the same as the feeling of your sweet velvet walls encasing him likes an umbrella pouch, hugging his shaft tight as he rammed his length inside of you, preening moans of ecstasy out of your sinful mouth. the thought of such scenarios would have hun instantly hard in the school showers, leaving him frustrated for the rest of the day.
and though you had returned for a couple of weeks, he remained prominently stressed, never having enough contact with your skin that he had missed so much. he wished for nothing more than to spend it in a godforsaken rut, trapping you in the confines of his bed as he thrust in and out of you, but it so happened that isn’t how your return had panned out.
the luxury of the bed was not present, in its place was the soft breeze prickling at your skin, making every lingering, and restraining touch that he gave to it that more sensual. it was like nature was biting at your skin, plucking up the courage to adorn your flesh in small bumps, coercing your nipples into being erect, although, that was admittedly not all down to the wispy air.
your boyfriend had turned you on, his methods of doing so far different from anything that he had ever embraced before. whom would have ever thought that the once youngest member of the mccall pack would not forlorn in his youth, but instead want to demean his title as something as sexual as ‘daddy’? you sure as didn’t, but you couldn’t deny, it was kind of hot.

It was all happening very fast. Tyler [Posey] and I were in communication on a daily basis throughout the entire thing.” With a sigh, he adds: “They also blindsided us with it a little bit. Nobody really knew that was going to happen. It just didn't work out, and I'm really comfortable leaving it where we left it.”
