it’s very interesting how nearly all ekurei haters are just dimple haters. they just hate dimple and hate the idea of him being loved for some reason 😭 sorry if that’s a wild conclusion but from what i’ve seen that’s the shit i’ve gathered

i know at this point im just screaming at a wall but dear lord can people just sit down for at least 5 minutes and think about how dimple has grown as a person since season 1 and how his looks shouldn’t destroy all that development and personality he has?

If you can’t understand the complexity of his character I am absolutely BEGGING to the moon and back please censor dimple’s name it’s very. disheartening trying to look for dimple content and come face-to-face with people hating on him and belittling people who like him

anyways dear dimple and ekurei truthers reading this i totally believe that dimple is so much more than what most people take him for and that he’s just as much of a person like anyone else in the show and he totally deserves to be loved. he’s worthy of it and me personally I think both dimple and reigen are so inexperienced when it comes to love and don’t like themselves too much but slowly and surely they learn how to love themselves together. like the love the other.. if they’re loved by someone so amazing, then maybe they deserve it..? in regards to the constant dismissal of his aroace identity, i hate it when alastor 'fans' say and use the excuse: "he's fictional, he won't get offended."

like, you're right, but it can and will offend us.

when you see yourself being represented on screen, of course you'd feel enthusiastic about it — representation allows individuals to see themselves reflected in the media they consume, validating their identities and experiences. but when so many people take that representation and decide to disregard and discard it, it is so fucking frustrating. we finally have another character to be part of the tiny amount of representation we have, but then people don't even care about how much it means to us? like yeah, alastor won't get offended because he's not real, but it frustrates and annoys us. do you realize that it's also technically invalidating the aroace community? that you're invalidating our feelings? imagine feeling like you're finally being seen because your orientation is finally being represented in media, and people just decide to blatantly ignore, discard, and invalidate it.

media has such a powerful influence on real life, representation being a prevalent factor of it. there are numerous posts that dictate how people went to watch a movie/show or read a book just because a character depicts their identity in it — obviously, being represented is an incredibly uplifting and validating experience.

which is why seeing an aroace character in a popular show is so meaningful to us because we live in a world where romance and sex are literally everywhere and prioritized above all else. (and it's pretty obvious that alastor's on the repulsed end of the spectrum, but even if he wasn't, at least make an effort to acknowledge his sexuality instead of continuing to portray him as allo; aroace folks can be in relationships but it's not going to be the same thing with allos' experiences.)

any and every representation matters, but why does that seem to stop at people under the aroace spectrum? like y'all can't even let us appreciate the scraps of representation we have. we barely have any, so are we really that dramatic for being upset at how people easily disregard and dismiss our identities that are being depicted on screen just like that? is it truly wrong of us to want to defend and maintain the little representation we have?

Something I loved from the anime adaptation on episode 5:

They made a summary about Mick's and Kuro's characters and relationship from what they saw in this two panels on the few seconds this scene taked place.

Just this. Kuro and Mick both surprised on the first. Kuro looking at Mick like he's worried about something, and Mick eating bread in silence, looking in distrust at the guy.

The anime makes it so rich on subtle expressions, I'm in love here. They're just on the background of the scene. But what they do says really a lot about them.

When the guy first comes to scene, Mick looks a bit confused but nothing else. "Who tf this guy?" They're not planing on paying him any mind.

When he sits besides him, he gets uncomfortable, you can see it on his face he doesn't want to sit beside a stranger. He wants to get up and change places. "What's with this guy? What does he want? Why is he so close?" Kuro notices this and looks at him. He saw him flinch (off camera because guy is covering him). Mick is scared of this guy.

Mickbell is a naturally untrusty person because of his backstory. He gets uncomfortable when new people starts acting friends because "well that can't mean good, can it?" Kuro knows this because they share a life together and proceeds to try and calm him the best he can in this situation.

Kuro puts his hands on Mick's back. He already has them there when the camera changes angles. "I got you. I'm here. Nothing is going to happen to you. Calm down." Mick now looks confused at the guy, but it's still clear he's very uncomfortable there. He leans towards Kuro a bit "I feel safer by your side and this guy is wierd".

In seconds, as soon as he sees him grab food from their table, he changes his mood. He jumps in surprise at the audacity. He's now annoyed and pissed. That's their food! How dares he... But he isn't the one to say anything, and from this alone you could tell he's quite introverted outside of their friends group (or that he didn't pay for the food idk). Kuro keeps his hands in there, knowing he's nervous.

Mick just looks at him eat, annoyed, maybe angry, and silent. He isn't probably paying any mind to what this guy is saying. He is stealing food. He should go get food somewhere else. Kuro seems to think something alike, but he is a bit surprised this guy has the balls to steal food so openly (he isn't paying atention either ot he doesn't understand)

He thinks a lot of thinks but says none, eating in silence. Kuro is staring with no good intentions behind those eyes. Only murder. Food robber. Mick disturber. Deserves death.

Okay okay I agree with everyone talking about the possibility of Pluto finally getting to go to France and meeting Duke in one of his shows, but I now raise you: What if they met BEFORE and Duke was actually the one to tell him about France and the lights and everything. Revisiting Voltron and hot take: Allura isn't actually that bad?

Like I remember very vividly when Voltron was airing, and people *hated* her. Like, you know the scapegoat in fanfics, the one that has to be mean? That was Allura. And you know, it's mean.

Yes, Allura was fantasy racist. Which is bad. But were we all too caught up in our little Keith angst to notice Alluras story? She had her family killed by Galrans, and then a half-galran pilots the lion her own father piloted. And she never got the chance to grieve because of the cryostatus. It basically just happened for her. It's a good plot point, but because everyone needed a character to hate, Alluras story got lost.

Allura also got in the way of Klance. I remember how adamant people were about shipping, so if one character got in the way they were dead. People liked Keith better, and with Allura as the competition there was no way for her to win. Which is stupid. Because Allura is a great character.

Also Hunk x Keith is better/hj
