ok but wouldn’t it be so cool if season two actually explored Alastors asexuality? Outside of one little comment? Like don’t get me wrong I love the ace deer man but I feel like the way we’re eating up that one crumb goes to show how little rep we actually get. And I get that everything we get about him in s1 is basically crumbs. He’s SUPPOSED to be mysterious. But I can’t help but worry that his identity is going to be ignored altogether within the story. And there are SUCH cool stories that can be told about this specific part of him. How did his relationship with Vox fall apart? Vox basically stalks him. Does that freak him out at all? Will it scare him in the future? When did Valentino come into the picture? Did that affect their friendship? How did Alastor survive hells hyper sexual environment when he first arrived?

And there ARE issues with the other queer rep in the show, but we have seen both Charlie and angel face homophobia in hell, and we have seen all sorts of sexual and romantic relationships. Ace and aro rep is a bit different, because it’s difficult to tell those kinds of stories without acknowledging the struggles that aspec people face. Very much how early gay rep focused a lot on prejudice. I understand why people just want a goofy silly aspec character who is accepted and just being themselves. I get that. But within the context of Hazbin, having good aspec rep just means acknowledging the struggles that come with it. And there’s so much you can do with that story wise, but I worry that the team will shy away from it as to not piss off the shippers.

Does anyone want to talk about or write about this pairing with me?

I’m new to Hazbin Hotel, just watched it a few days ago. I’ve seen Helluva Boss but I was such a casual fan that I didn’t even realise there was a season of Hazbin out on Amazon Prime. I’ve yet to watch the pilot episode because I want to have at least something to look forwards to while I’m waiting for the new episode of HB and season 2 of HH.

I’d love to get to explore Alastor and Lucifers dynamic whether it be enemies to friends or some type of lovers. From what I understand, Alastor is asexual— something I didn’t know the meaning of really until I watched the scene where Rosie says “ I know you’re an ace in the hole.” I basically had the same reaction as Alastor when he was like “A what now?” At first, HAHAHHHH, I thought she was calling him Gay

So anyway, after I looked up the meaning I first fell into this dark fandom, before it dawned on me that asexual is actually the closest thing I’ve ever been able to relate to myself in terms of sexuality. I thought I was so weird for having these feelings my whole life.

So whenever Vox got caught up in the moment and accidentally let his hands linger for too long, Alastor would patiently remind him by saying “Vox…we’ve been over this,” and Vox would move away, a little more heartbroken each time, never having had his love be rejected before he fell in love with Alastor.

To me, Alastor AND Rosie are aromantic. They are just on complete opposite spectrums

Rosie: romance-favourable. She lives for the tea. She wants to hear all about how the fourth husband treats you so much better than the first and especially better than the second husband.

Alastor: romance-repulsed. Wishes to be anywhere else when relationships are discussed, or to dissociate right then and there. He has to keep it together and use willpower on 1000% capacity so to not kill anyone when someone flirts with him or even implies something. He took Charlie to Rosie partially so he wouldn't have to hear her ranting about her relationship problems anymore.

I know Valentine's Day was two days ago, but I have a slow brain okay.

Anyway, just like everyone else I just want to marvel at how perfect Alastor's Valentine's Day merch is.

Look at this, look at him. Everyone else's pinup was sexy and they had revealing outfits. But Alastor? Someone at this app said that he is a modern equivalent of a Victorian woman showing her ankle. I truly love it, he undone his bow tie and that's it, that's the most he's showing, his neck without a bow. He isn't even in any sexy pose either. He kinda looks as if he was laying on a couch and someone told him to pose.

And then his Valentine's card? It's not about love or anything like this, this is about friendship, about platonic love. It literally says 'On a day devoted to lovers I am glad to have you as a friend' and I'm over the moon with it.

As a fellow asexual I am beyond happy to see that none of Alastor's merch was romantic or sexual.

It means a lot to me and I just wanted to say it.
