whilst it may have taken me almost a decade to realise, considering the “i knew he would” line also took me years to realise the significance of jason going back to arkham asylum to rescue batman at his most vulnerable, to do what bruce never could for him.

it’s like, no he didn’t kill batman nor could he seek revenge on joker but jason did in fact do the one thing arkham!batman really couldn’t - protect his family.

*im kind of embarrassed of the first pic so please be nice :( i messed up in a few places*

she doesnt exactly have a name yet, but i was thinking of "Croak" even tho its very similar to "Dr. Croaker" who is already a character obviously

similar to solomon grundy and mortimer kadaver. disgraced embalmer who is obsessed with inventing more innovative ways to perserve the dead. this sort of blurred the lines between moral practices and when her own embalming fluid was rejected by her supervisors, she embalmed herself alive (dont ask how im still trying to figure it out, probably by giving herself an iv of the fluid)

she wanted someone to find her corpse that was so well perserved so that her supervisors would be filled with shame and regret for rejecting her fluid. instead, she awakes hours later, but now shes both dead and alive. her cells regenerate as quickly as they die. after sometime, she learns how to control her limbs and organs.

like all corpses, her weakness is hotter temperatures, water and higher humidity content, causing her to decompose faster than she can regenerate. she also has to be cafeful not to over-exert her body.

containment instructions for arkham include keeping her different limbs in thick, bullet-proof glass boxes for transportation (her head in one box, torso in the next, etc). her cell has tenperature and humidity controls to keep her in a weakened state

Dark Nygmobblepot fic idea that I had as a result of my half awake brain and will never write:

Pet Project

Edward should never had let his guard down. Fool me once and all that. He trusted the Sirens and it almost ended in his death. He should not keep trusting Oswald, not when he knows Oswald is a liar. His memory is still more blanks than memories but the puzzle isn't as challenging: they weren't friends before the coma, Oswald was lying. But he has no one and he doesn't known if he can keep being good whithout support and he can't go back to who he was before, being Riddler drove him to an emotional blackhole but being just Edward was not going all that better, yes the bussness was great, his P.I agency was booming but what was the point of having money when people didn't want to seel things for an ex-con? What was the point of living in lonliness? He was again just jumping to the next thrill and Oswald was liar but he was there, he had not betrayed him, he was a friend, his only friend. So he pretends he belives the lie. He keeps playing because he can't be alone.

Until Oswald "fails in love" for a woman he "rescued" from human trafficking. They kiss and hold hands and she calls him her hero. And Edward isn't jealous or maybe he is but mostly he is concerned because Oswald still kisses him sometimes but mostly because she is still in a cell, she may not have realized yet but he is a thrid party and he is smart and he knows that this isn't love, that Violet is still a slave, another pretty bird in Oswald's collection, that she is a summer pet project and Cobblepot will dispose of her in the moment she disapoints him and he's concerned because he is trying to be good and because he kinda cares for her. But truly he is terrifield because he cannot see a difference between Oswald rescue narrative and kisses and love declarations, he is terrifield because he is alone (and it isn't in part because of Oswald? It wasn't Oswald who incentivazed him to ignore Selina and Harls apologies since they were "cleary not honest", to cut contact with Diedre and Nina because "they were still on the crime life" and therefore "bad influences", to ignore Bruce Wayne trials of friendship after all "how could he understand"?) and he cannot stop the realization that he is trapped that he is just another one of Oswald pet projects, a different pretty bird in a cage and he needs to get free before Oswald gets tired of him.

[Yes my brain somehow mixed P.I Riddler post Doctor Aesop with Joker's Asylum Penguin, one of the most derranged Oswalds and I don't know why.

On a lighter note maybe in this reality Eddie can save Violet and also offer her someone besides Oswald to interact in her newly acquired "freedom". She truly deserved waaay better than she got.]

Two-Face: Dent isn’t here, doc.

Dr. Kane: And why is that?

Two-Face: He’s resting. It has been a busy day for us, and yet here we are. Doing a shitty interview.

Dr. Kane: So I’ve heard. You got into an altercation with another inmate, didn’t you? Joker?

Two-Face: He pissed us off, what else is there to say?

Dr. Kane: And how did he do that?

Two-Face: None of your damn business. Why don’t you go interview one of the actual crazies in this place and leave us the hell alone?

Dr. Kane: Mr. Dent, if you continue to be difficult, I’ll be forced to take drastic measures. If you want to get better, you’ll have to cooperate.

Two-Face: Harvey wants to get better. Not us. We don’t give two shits.

Dr. Kane: ‘Us’?

Two-Face: [Silence].

Dr. Kane: Two-Face, is there more than one of you? Has another persona formed?

Two-Face: [Silence].

Dr. Kane: [Sighs]. Guards, please put Mr. Dent into solitary confinement for the rest of the night. He clearly isn’t interested in being good.

Just read Penguin: Pain and Prejudice in one sitting *surrounded by blood and viscera*

#mannnn I’m going to be thinking about this one for a while #I wouldn’t say that it’s interpretation of his origins is my favorite and I have personal dislikes and bones to pick #but overall. I liked it! it’s a solid study and I love the atmospheric beats #and even as someone who is versed in his character it managed to bring new angles for me to ponder over #I think. my biggest problem is how cassandra’s role in the story is so lacking despite how symbolically important she is #like this is the only time you’ll ever see me praise the joker’s asylum penguin story but at least they had the girl like #growing suspicious of oswald. finding his annie wilkes scrapbook it felt more pivotal tbh! #idk. disappointed that we didn’t get that here I felt like the bricks to the path were laid 🤷 #also the way her relationship with her blindness is written is just oddddd to me so odd. like I get she’s a deeply insecure person but #and it sucks because I like her I think there’s something conceptually interesting about her and the way she mirrors oswald #I just wish she was in the hands of someone who could’ve given her that narrative spice is all!! #*tucks my hair behind my ears* anywaaaaay #rozzie rambles
