Hiii!! Ufff I don't know how to tell you that I love your take on Floyd. like some bad bad life decisions were taken (THAT SO!!! INTERESTING FOR HIM). Do you think he ever feels ashamed of himself when he looks at Branch's eyes, like "shit, this guy really believes in me" or "he doesn't even know everything I have done"? Like he has some really BIG "Love me Less by Max" vibes

And OH he definitely feels so much shame and regret. I think a big part of why he fell as hard as he did was because he finally didn't have to be his brothers' mediator, and I guess at one point he forgot that he still needed to be the voice of reason for himself. His new band mates encouraging his reckless behavior didn't help. Honestly I personally think young Floyd was a very naive kid and very dependent on his older brothers but his strong empathy gave them all the impression that he was much more mature and independent than he really was...

So yeah... you can imagine that constantly partying, doing drugs and sleeping around wears someone down after a few years. I think Floyd also went gray like Branch (not for as long tho) and he broke up with the band wanting to go home badly, but he was also ashamed of showing his face after a number of years as a gray drug addict, so he kind of just ended up alone...

If we're sharing songs, I have to show you this one by Linkin Park because I think Floyd wrote it for Branch (and the rest of his family (and some parts also addressing himself)) while he was at that desperate and lonely period because I am also extremely emo

JD isn’t great with kids. They know that. They have accepted that about themself. There are some people like Harry that know exactly how to act around kids and raise them without fucking them up and don’t accidentally teach them curse words quite literally known only to the deepest pits of Hell, and JD is not one of those people.

Now if only everyone else would realize that and stop letting them babysit.

It could be worse, they supposed. Teddy is a good kid. Curious and eager and with enough mischief in his ever changing eyes that makes them feel like they’re looking in a mirror whether Teddy is mimicking their face or not. They did like hanging out with Teddy. They just couldn’t get rid of the lingering anxiety that they would fuck up somehow.

Which meant when Teddy tripped while running towards them to show them some cool rock he had found and stayed down they had about half a second worth of pure panic before jolting into motion.

Teddy was already crying by the time they got to his side, hastened by a quick wing beat that Mac would definitely have grumbled at them for with how open the park they were in was, and JD barely felt the flash of paining heir own knees as they slammed down too quickly next to him.

“Hey, hey, pup. You’re alright. I’ve got you, yeah?” They weren’t paying attention to the words tumbling out of their mouth as they carefully took in the damage. Nothing too bad. A couple scraped knees and one palm. They could handle that. What was it Diego had told Harry the other day? Since Teddy healed faster than most humans the first priority when he got hurt was to make sure the wounds were clean?

But… with the blood and Reddy crying there was no way they could get everything fully clean…

They pulled a scrap of fabric out of their jacket, snagging the water bottle they had been carrying (“Kids need water, Jordan,” Diego had grumbled at them the last time they had slid a soda to Teddy. “Even werewolves.”) to wet the tiny cloth before carefully staring to wipe away the blood and grime from Teddy’s knees.

A sniffle sounded from above them. “Is that a hanky?” Teddy asked. He moved to wipe his tears away with his injured hand but JD carefully grabbed it. Scrapes they could handle. Debris in the eye would definitely require a surprise visit to the good doctor.

“It’s a tiny cloth. They’re very useful.”

“Grace said only old people carry hankies.”

Their wounded expression drew a laugh out of the kid. Which was totally what they were going for with that. They definitely weren’t offended by an eighteen year old indirectly reading them. Not at all.

JD laughed as they moved from one knee to the other, careful, always so careful. (Were kids always this small? This fragile?) “I am the second oldest person you and Grace have ever met,” They pointed out. “And besides it’s not a hanky. It’s a tiny cloth.”

Teddy laughed again then frowned. “Won’t it ruin it?” He asked.

“Nah. Razi’s laundry game is magical.” Teddy laughed again, his eyes briefly flashing a bright happy orange before going back to his usual green. “And you’re more important than any cloth tiny or not. We only have one baby wolf, and I can make as many of these as I want.”

They expected Teddy’s usual denial of being a baby but what they got instead was a tiny hand (thankfully the uninjured one) toying with a clean corner of the cloth. “Will you make me one? That way we can match even if I’m not in my jacket. Like our special secret!”

JD blinked then beamed. “Yeah kiddo I’ll make you some… if you don’t think it’s too old and uncool for you.” They poked at Teddy’s sides until the tears in their eyes were from laughter not pain.

JD wasn’t good with kids but… maybe they only had to be good with one.

unfortunately i am always grimly fascinated by dnis and bad callout posts. remember when someone wrote their scathing take down of john darnielle but their main allegation was that hes like. a really needy friend. or when there was all the twitter buzz about dan avidan being a groomer but when you read the original post the actual allegation was just that he slept with a fan and then ghosted her (which is, if you ask me, SIGNIFICANTLY less my business)

anyway none of these compare to my all time favorite spurious callout, which may have had genuinely objectionable stuff in it, but they put it in alphabetical order instead of order of severity, so the first allegation was: "ANTISEMITISM (person) is not Jewish but drew fanart of Jewish characters celebrating Hanukkah, which is cultural appropriation and tokenism and fetishizating Judaism"

i think about that one every goddamn day. why would you lead with that? didnt anyone ever teach you that, when making an argument, you should bring out the big guns FIRST? if this person was actually like. a sex pest or an abuser, shouldn't you START by saying that?? because otherwise youd run the risk of someone reading the first allegation you listed and going "OH okay so this is just petty squabbles about a guy you personally dislike, and not actually about a dangerous person that other people need to be warned about. i will disregard this entirely" (which for the record is exactly what happened???)

anyway theres no point to this post, other than, i guess, maybe consider taking a writing class before you start trying to make impassioned argumentative essays online so you don't waste as much of my time. YES i care very deeply about how you organize your arguments. YES it matters and YES i will ignore your argument if its badly structured. this is because im an exhausting person to be around. thank u

Normally is presenting more as Central Jersey, his tics are from North and South trying to speak at the same time

Because of slightly demonic magic, Jersey is fractured like how his state is, there’s North, South, and Central, they can all split into their own persons with North looking the same, but not for too long

While Jersey has used many names during his life, the one his mothers gave him is the only few actually know, Jonah Eriksson Bakker, Eriksson being his Mother’s last name and Bakker his Ma’s

Despite it being hundreds of years, he still isn’t used to English, words never come out quite right, there’s almost always something just slightly missed pronounced even when taking his accent into account

If he’s upset or tired he has a pretty heavy lisp, which along with his already heavy accent when feeling any emotion makes him pretty impossible to understand, the only ones that do are York, Del, and surprisingly Penn

Likes to call New York ‘Yorkie’ Vermont ‘Monty’ Kentucky ‘Ken’ (he’s the only one allowed too) California ‘Westie’ Florida ‘Dia’ ‘Sunshine’ or ‘Flo Rida’ and says Texas like how a Russian would (he has no idea why he started to he just did one day)

The Jersey Devil is real, Jerseys met it multiple times in his life, sometimes they exist in the same space in the Pine Barrens, but most times they don’t

Jersey has a Jersey Devil plush, had it since he was a young child, it’s his prized possession along with one of Connie’s books from the 1850s that he ‘borrowed’ 

When he was younger, Jersey would go to Devil’s Tree to read, it's how he learn the hard way, that his not father father is not the only demon that resides in NJ

In contrast to York, Jersey LOVES drop towers, thinks that they are the second best theme park flat ride to ever exist (the first are those super scramblers that flip while spinning)

Threw his shoe at York so much that Penn ended up buying him sandals as a joke, a joke that Jersey didn’t understand until YEARS later, he still loves and uses those sandals, his aim is unmatched when it comes to hitting York

Would get hit by Yorkie every time he said the R word (which he still doesn't fully believe is a slur but whatever Yorkie), this was specifically during the 2000s

Has brought every State to Action Park at least once when it was still open, it’s best not to question how he convinced Alaska and Hawaii or literally any other State, it’s just best not too

Jersey has a little devil that could in theory be related to the Jersey Devil, it's name is Impy
