14. Favorite Trap

I'm cheating and picking one from each movie 👍

Flammable gel has always deeply amused (and disturbed) me! Especially since i feel it stands out from Saw 1 as insanely rigged lmao. The poison?? The infinite numbers and lack of clarification?? The dark and risk of fire?? THE GLASS???? So so difficult and also wonderfully shot!!

For Saw 2 i think the nerve gas house is just sick as hell 👌 I remember walking into the movie so ready to scoff at the house-victims' bad decision-making, (I'd seen clips of the razor wrists and furnace trap) but wasn't prepared for how much the threat of inevitable poison death added to the desperate and hopeless feel of the house! Saw 2 is my 'maybe adam gets out of the bathroom this time' movie, and i couldn't have that without my biblically inaccurate nerve gas!

Uhhhh everything about the Rack is so good and upsetting, and it always makes me give a shaky thumbs up to Jeff, my good friend Jeff. I forgive him!!! I forgive him!!!! And the wonderful kneeling at the cross imagery...the judge doing his best to help....timothy young....so so well done.

Wooooo Mausoleum trap!!!!! Saw (lol) some hate for it going around recently and i do not understand it. Two men try to beat each other to death, while getting dragged around by chain collars, and then we get a money shot of one tearing open his mouth stitches?? What more could you want?? Also sets up the gauntlet of saw 4 team traps AND raises so many implications about john and jill. The victim choice...john i just wanna talk.

And last but certainly not least, despite the set-up barely making any sense (how'd you do THAT surgery guys) I love the wisdom teeth trap. 16. A Trap That Terrifies You

Nerve gas again lol. Something so disheartening about it....like man we're not getting out of this one. The saw 6 breathing trap is very visceral and i hate rib crushing stuff. Haven't seen it yet but the brain surgery one feels especially unsettling. Actually all the Saw X traps do smdh. Also you know what flammable gas again too. Just so cruel and impossible from a single look. Like sure maybe you can do it....maybe....(you can't)
