This is going to be on the Titans version of Gar because he’s my favourite!

I’ve mentioned before that I see Gar as bisexual.

I think that Gar has kind of always known that he’s bi even if when he was younger he didn’t know the term. He didn’t really officially come out as Bi until he met Dick, Kory and Rachel but everyone he lived with at the Doom Patrol Manor was aware that he liked both men and women.

He definitely found Dawn and Donna attractive but always kept that hidden to be respectful. He really likes strong women.

He gained a small crush on Superman and Batman when he was quite young the way most people develop crushes on their heroes. Although he eventually grew out of those crushes once he became older he still respects them as heroes and becomes very excited when they’re mentioned.

Upon first meeting Jason he developed a small crush on him. Robin has always been a favourite sidekick hero of his and even though he was excited to meet Dick he was even more excited to meet a Robin that was just a little older than him.

His crush on Jason became stronger after the two of them started spending more time together in Titans Tower. He had a bit in common with him and they both liked training together. Gar felt very connected to him and would often feel shy when Jason would compliment him during training. He held back from revealing that he had feelings for him due to being a little younger and Jason’s feelings for Rose.

He was very upset when he could see that Jason had feelings for Rose. It took a while for him to get used to it.

He always tried to see the best in Jason even after he became Red Hood.

After Jason was gone for a while he didn’t really try to seek anyone else out and didn’t develop feelings for anyone until he developed feelings during his friendship with Conner.

Gar found Conner very attractive and had a lot of fun with him teaching him about video games and different things to enjoy around the tower. It started out as just attraction but after everything with CADMUS the two of them became closer and Gar started developing feelings for him. He tried to ignore any future crushes he developed on any guys or girls after Conner developed feelings for Blackfire. The two of them are obviously still friends and somewhere down the line after Gar got over his crush Conner found out that he liked him like that at some point and was flattered that his best friend liked him.

Eventually I like to believe that Gar and Jason got closer again in the future because Jason always felt closest to him out of any of the team apart from Dick and I think he’d develop feelings for Gar too and Gar after spending time with him would start to crush on him again. They’d both see how it goes and start slow but I think they’d work out.

Gar definitely likes muscular guys although he’d love anyone no matter how they look.

He can get flustered when anyone flirts with him. He once got flirted at by a cute girl who worked at a coffee shop and he couldn’t really form a sentence when she started flirting with him. Rachel who was with him at the time found it hilarious and teased him about it the whole way home much to his annoyance.

When he found out that Tim is bisexual too he was excited because it would be good to have someone to talk to about it. He’s always willing to listen to Tim if he has any problems and Tim is the same for him. He’s also 100% ready to hype Tim up or give him a confidence boost.

Gar has a pride flag and pin that he keeps in his room at the tower.

Number 126 for the smut prompts for Titans (2018) JayGar! “Why’d you stop?” “Because you sounded too fucking good and so I had like, a moment.” 

This was such a perfect prompt, I hope i did it justice!!

“I’m gonna get you next time.”

Jason throws his controller aside and takes a smug swig of Gar’s awful grape soda, grinning around the rim of the bottle. Gar gives him a withering look Jason knows he doesn’t really mean, shoving another piece of sour apple candy into his mouth.

“Fuck, I can’t even stay mad when you actually managed to sneak these past Dick.” Gar chews, hums in unabashed pleasure at the taste. Jason feels a fizz in his stomach that has nothing to do with the soda. “So, c’mon. How’d you do it?”

“Trade secret,” Jason grins wider. “Beat me and maybe I’ll tell you.”

Gar swallows his mouthfull all at once – Jason watches the bob of his long throat – and then takes up his controller again and braces his elbows on his knees. Game on.

"One time, i went with Robin to show and tell as a bird as a prank. At first, we convinced his classmates that he'd taught me, a parrot, some neat tricks like fetching a paper ball before it hit the ground and doing a fist bump. But then he had the class ask questions. First, he answered, and then we took turns, and then I would just answer all of them in semi-full sentences. They didn't really start freaking out until I began calling them by their names. Then, the next day, when kids came up to him to ask about it, he said that the CIA had confiscated his pet because it was too intelligent."

All the others at group therapy look confused at Gar.

"That sounds hilarious." Vic responds, breaking the silence.

idk why I didn't scream about this when I was recently rewatching season 3 - but I am making a JayGar moodboard right now, so I am looking at their scenes looking for the quote I'm gonna put on it, and every time it gets to the part where Bat!Gar flies up to the house and comes in through the window, the realization smacks me in the face anew that Gar flew into Jason's room, and because of the transformation, he was naked, landed on Jason's floor (while naked) and then he put on Jason's clothes.

like, Gar so casually puts on random clothes that he finds on Jason's bedroom floor

(thinking about JayGar clothes sharing while they lived at the Tower hurts me and makes me smile)

so then when he and Jason randomly run into each other in the hallway - their first reunion since Jason's death, their first time seeing each other since the whole Red Hood drama - Gar is wearing Jason's clothes and they both know it.

FUCK. it is so exes to lovers coded it hurts.

especially because Jason goes out of the way to make Gar feel safe and assure him that he's there to protect him, and the whole "you should have told me about Jason" "would you have gone inside if I did?"

LIKE FUCK.

the writers didn't put a scene of Gar and Jason talking to each other before Jason officially left the Manor because they would have had to kiss. they would have been forced to acknowledge the romantic tension. or their official reunion hug would have been far too gay. or they knew that the only 'in character' move for Gar would have been literally on his knees begging Jason to stay and Jason would have said yes. which is why they didn't talk to each other after that
