he would be panicked but he wouldn’t show it

I think he’d be more angry than scared, and by angry, I mean really angry

like whoever hurt you is about to have all hell brought down on them

he has the ice stone, he’s the most powerful man in the world, he can definitely deal with whatever dude decided to mess with his s/o

he makes sure to check that you’re okay first before dealing with the situation, but it’ll just be a quick check, he wouldn’t stay too long

he likes to have the situation properly dealt with before he lets his guard down again

he’d be all soft afterwards with you especially if you were still injured

he can switch so quickly and drastically from scary and powerful to gentle and in love

he’ll make sure you take medicine or get medical attention from Sejukwon immediately 

because you’re his top priority and he wants to make sure you’re safe before anything else

he might think about scolding you for not being careful

but then he’d also have to scold himself for not protecting you like he should, so he ends up staying quiet and just asking you if you’re okay in that soft worried voice of his

SEO YUL

like Uk, Yul wouldn’t show how worried he was

but he would be absolutely panic stricken inside

his heart would be beating so fast and he’d have to really focus on his breathing to not lose control

you getting hurt is like his worst nightmare

and he gets so flustered and scared that he definitely needs someone to accompany him to go find you because this boy is going to lose sense of direction quick 😭

he’ll drop whatever he’s doing to go to you immediately 

if there’s an enemy in the way, he will deal with them in order to get to you, but he needs to make sure you’re okay before confronting whoever did it 

he’d inspect you so carefully, the poor baby :(

even if it’s a little scratch that was an accident, he’d treat you as if you were made of glass even days after

and would always ask you how you were feeling and if there was anything you needed

he’s usually shy when you ask for hugs or kisses, but one of the only times when he’ll agree immediately is when you’re hurt

he just wants to make sure that he does everything in his power to make you feel better <3

PARK DANGGU

absolutely horrified, shocked, scared

he’s very emotive in his face unlike his friends

rushes to wherever you are, the panic practically surging through his entire body

if there was any fighting that needed to happen, he would calm himself down enough to not also get hurt in the fight

but he’s mainly just trying to get to you as fast as possible

could possibly cry depending on how badly you were injured

I feel like if he would, without thinking, pull you into a tight hug as soon as he saw you

and it would be such a tight hug that it would press on your wound

the only thing coming out of his mouth after you winced in pain is a string of “sorry”

he feels so bad, but his brain is honestly such a mess because of how worried he is

he’s a clumsy baby, so he might possibly make the situation worse on accident (before making it better with kisses and medical attention)

GO WON

makes it the absolute biggest deal, no matter if it’s a serious situation or a simple cut or scrape

he’s dramatic, you can’t tell me otherwise

but he would be genuinely worried about you because he cares about you so much 

he is going to make sure everyone knows that you are his top priority just by how he drops everything and makes sure of your safety before anything else

and if any of the royal guards were responsible for not keeping you safe, he might fire them on the spot, just saying

he’ll make sure you get attended by the best masters in Sejukwon

he’s not going to take any chances when it comes to you and your safety

would be stubborn and either not let you leave his sight or have guards accompany you everywhere (new guards, not the old ones)

if his duties pulled him away from you, you would be on his mind every second until he knew that you were completely recovered

You know one scene that I really want to see in episode 3 but very likely won’t happen is Uk helping Naksu get rid of her newest tracking thread. There was some very kiss-like actions going on when he removed her bracelet that can you even imagine the scene of him breaking her newest tracking thread.

They’re finally alone with each other again and she’s once again in a hurry to take off her robes. And Uk’s all shock pikachu face again. Him: Like yes, we’re officially and publicly married now, but we’re not doing that. And she’s all like, disappointed like she was in forest but also like “that’s not what I’m asking of you. I need your help to break the tracking thread again.”

Naksu’s turning and baring her exposed shoulder to Uk. Him seeing the threads sewn into her like she’s a goddamn object and feeling anger and rage for her. Him coming closer and lowering his lips to her shoulder. Maybe the tiniest touch of his lips to her bare shoulder as he breaks the thread. Naksu’s skin tingling as his breath fans across her shoulder before the thread loosen. Her heart giving a jot and picking up a bit as she felt him right behind her, maybe even the tiniest touch of his lips and caress of his thumb as he smoothed over the spot when the threads fell away.

And then of course we can give them their moment or Kim Do Ju would choose this exact moment to interrupt and this is what she sees and get a little heart attack from.  And she either quietly retreats before either of them know she was there or in AOS true sense of comedic elements, Uk and Naksu spring apart all awkwardly, like that’s not what you think going on. 

So yeah, if it doesn’t happen, I might flesh this mess of run-on sentences out into a short one-shot in 2 weeks when I have break (no promises lol)

Summary: In which, Bu-yeon doesn’t need the egg stone to start to remember, only Jang UK. However, somehow her husband gets jealously of her past lover. Sort of follow the canon, but a little AU

Preview:

“Fine, tell me. Since you say you may die. I’m all ears.”

“Jang Uk, I like you a lot”

She opened her eyes, Jang Uk was surprise by her sudden confession, which she found cute. With a joyful giggle, Bu-yeon grabbed his handsome face and pulled the man to her for a kiss, she felt his hand going to her shoulders to balance. She smiled as he melted into their kiss with a low groan. The priestess pushed his face away as sudden as she started, breaking the kiss with a loud smacking.

At least that was what Bu-yeon intended as she went back to lay down.

Jang Uk didn’t let her move way from him, following her lips as she settle down back in the bed; the mage gripped his wife jaw firmly as he eagerly captured her lips into his again. This time the kiss was more hungry; his tongue invaded her mouth in a lustful motion, she could taste honey and ice. She moaned fervently responding his demanding tongue; sparks of hot desire blossomed in her stomach with his hands wondering her clothes, exploring her body, touching, stroking, teasing.

Bu-yeon touches her husband too, enjoying his reactions, his smooth skin, his little approval grows as she unlaced his clothes. Their kiss intensified until a point where she didn’t know where one start and the other end, they became one breath of pure hot passion.

It was glorious.

 A delicious lustful bliss.

A loud bang interrupted them, for a moment they both freeze in place confused by the sound. When they only met silence, Jang Uk nibbled her lips deciding to ignored the noise, they resume to their kiss for a moment, he deepened again grabbing her thigh and pulling it to wrap around his waist.

Another bang interrupt them, he broke apart their kiss and hide his face on the crook of her neck.

The room temperature dropped with the shift in Jang Uk’s mood, she blinked feeling goosebumps as he cursed in a hoarse voice, which made her racing heart pulse in desire. Finally, he turned his attention to the door, where hell was breaking lose.

A scream echoed with loud barks, now the bang practically shook the entire ground around them. It couldn’t be ignore.

Her husband apart from her with scorn expression, for a moment she can only stared him with his bare chest under the moonlight between her legs. Bu-yeon felt her face burning as she sat down trying to recompose herself. Jang Uk made no move to get out his place while recomposing his coat.

“What’s happening?” She whispered realizing her own opened garment and expose skin.

“Wraiths trying to get the ice stone as usual.” He replied darkly trying to listen, something break at distance follow with more shouts.

Jang Uk quickly recompose himself calling his sword magically.

“Stay here” He ordered without a second look.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 45

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 208,023. And that's a bit surprising because a bunch of my longer fics are only on AHA or my website.

3. What fandoms do you write for? Mostly Jane Austen, all novels, Elizabeth Gaskell (Wives & Daughters), and Anne Bronte (The Tenant of Wildfell Hall). I have also technically written Oscar Wilde and My Happy Marriage, but those were very transformative.

I also have written some fics based on Kdramas, mostly for Alchemy of Souls.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

A Ride to Netherfield - Jane breaks her leg on the way to Netherfield and must stay for a month. Short one-shot (6k) and the first Pride & Prejudice variation I wrote.

Of Every Elizabeth - short and sweet Pride & Prejudice fluff, Darcy has nicknames for the plethora of Elizabeth's he's met over the course of his life (it was a super common name at the time)

Carry Me! - three vignettes of Jang Uk and Cho Yeong from Alchemy of Souls after they are married

The Fourth Bennet Sister - long fic (30k words), Pride & Prejudice variation where Kitty Bennet becomes aware that she is in a novel. She desperately tries to protect her sisters from harm.

All's Fair in Love and War - short Pride & Prejudice variation. Mrs. Bennet has weaponized compromise, men live in constant fear of being forced to marry.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yep. Every time.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Umm.... I'm not good at writing angst. I don't like characters to suffer for too long.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All of them?

8. Do you get hate on fics? Yes, because I dared to write Mr. Darcy marrying Anne Elliot. People get more angry about that for some reason than Elizabeth Bennet marrying Captain Wentworth in the same fic. Someone even told me Darcy would rather "throw himself off of Pemberley" rather than marry anyone other than Elizabeth. (Fic is called One Week Late)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have written smut a few times, it's pretty vanilla because I am pretty vanilla. I was reading Victorian erotica when I wrote my longest one, A Little Before Their Marriage (Jane & Bingley fic).

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I constantly write crossovers, my first published novel is a massive crossover, Prideful & Persuaded. One of my fun shorts is Fall on the Sword, where every canonically single woman in Austen's novels decides if they want to try for the recently divorced Mr. Rushworth.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not as far as I know.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, though someone did translate one of my meta posts from Tumblr. That was cool.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, The Marriage Contest with Branch Cloudsky and two with Amelia Marie Logan, Poor Caroline and Inferior Connections. All Pride & Prejudice fics, all funny. (You need an AO3 account for that one, the other two are on my personal website)

14. What’s your all time favourite ship? Catherine Morland & Henry Tilney. They are the only Austen couple I cannot bear to break up.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I am writing a queer retelling of Emma called "Different Ways of Being in Love", where Jane Fairfax and Emma were lovers as teenagers, Jane is bi, Emma is a lesbian, and Mr. Knightley is ace, but I got stuck on the middle part. Someday hopefully!

16. What are your writing strengths? I'm told I write some pretty hilarious farces. I am told I do characterization well, which is my main goal when writing fan fiction. I try to stick as close to canon as possible.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I don't write enough filler or develop things well enough. I like writing action.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I would possibly try my hand at French, but probably never. I also have a lot of trouble reading accented speech (looking at you Wuthering Heights), so I'd probably never write it.

19. First fandom you wrote for? I am fairly certain I started writing a fix-it fic for Nineteen Eighty-Four after I read it in high school. Not sure I would be able to locate it but it did exist. The first since I started writing again was a sequel to Pride & Prejudice.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Probably Unfairly Caught (my other published work) or The Fourth Bennet Sister. I NEEDED to write a Mansfield Park fic because I hate the ending, so it fixed my dissatisfied feelings. My goal is to edit The Fourth Bennet Sister and get it published sometime this year.

beautiful beautiful men choi woo shik and kim sung cheol played ung bros for life in this beautiful beautiful drama. one of the best handled love triangles ive seen. they were there for each other through thick and thin, and helped each other through sm. best. on the tenth spot because they could've expanded on it more :(

#9 - what's wrong with secretary kim? : lee young joon and park yoo sik

i could never make it through the series. i left it behind on ep9/10 i think, and primarily because i physically cannot digest how emotionless park min young is. BUT, kudos to the hilarious office best bromance by the great park seo joon and kang ki young. ps - why is kang ki young the pankaj tripathi of korean dramas?

#8 - strong girl do bong soon : ahn min hyuk and in gook du

can we ever forget the legendary wink? or the dream where min hyuk is dressed as a woman? i think not. this was more of a frenemy type bromance, united by their love for bong soon and ironically divided by it, too. i refuse to acknowledge this as a love triangle tho. bong soon was astronomical in not hurting gook du and i will not take any criticism. is it a bromance if one of them is pretending to be gay? (and no, we will not discuss any sort of iTs pRoBLeMaTiC debates here.)

#7 - tale of the nine tailed : lee yeon and koo shin ju

don't come at me with the lee rang comments. rang was his half brother, related by blood. their relationship was top tier, but the stay at home husband yeon and working husband shin ju was too cute to not be classified as a bromance. in the beginning, i saw their relationship as shin ju serving yeon, a dynamic that they both seemed to embody. but as the show progresses, yeon baby we know you love shin ju just as much :*

song joon ki seems to have an attachment to bromances. han seo had the best character arc of the ENTIRE kdrama universe fight me. that court scene where vincenzo pats han seo's cheek was max bro cuteness. still not over his death. he deserved better.

#5 - vincenzo : vincenzo cassano and jang han seo

even though i didn't very much like the show's first couple, bromance delivered well. hospital scene peaked, complete true beauty sameness. it was pretty hard to understand who was the superior officer in this tbh initially, since their comraderie was so cool, shi jin was kid to soldier in a split second. loved how they chose not to unnecessarily exaggerate the love triangle initially bec i was only rooting for the second couple.

#4 - descendants of the sun : yoo shi jin and seo dae young

business proposal was the first kdrama i saw. i finished it in a three day trip, and i remember thinking more about the bromance than the romance. i was NOT used to the clumsiness of kdramas in general, like wattpad fics incarnated. the bromance delivered well, made me root for the second couple, and was the only initial indicator of kang tae moo being human instead of archaeopteryx. that word was a nightmare to spell.

#3 - business proposal : kang tae moo and cha sung hoon

the most wolfstar bromance if I ever saw one. and NO, i do not ship wolfstar just like i do not ship these two. they are totally adorable, and specially since their personalities seemed to switch from when they were children. yeong turned all serious face and lee gon got fun. love their years of friendship sm, their wordless communication and yeong in general. the acting was amazing.

yes, i know I'm missing a lot of iconic ones. unfortunately, i haven't seen alot of kdramas and have left alot in bw (like true beauty bec i couldn't see second lead hurt).

told ya, if u follow me u already knew what the first one was gonna be. being the simp i am for the goblin and grim reaper, these two achieved the max points for their bromance. that slow dynamic of goblin calling reaper's hat tacky to fighting with knives to that iconic 'saranghae' to 'HOW DARE YOU' to goblin boiling eggs with his powers while reaper chills the beer. they know each other so well. love love love them and you should too 🔪

in my heart, the trio of our boys beats nothing (except for the gookdu-minhyuk relationship of the crown prince and uk). but instead of choosing the frenemy thing, i decided to love yul and uk more. yul was such a quiet character, with incredible potential in him for me to hate him, but then...(the guy is literally too sweet and beautiful and nice i can ramble for days). and uk, man, our power baby who loves every version of our beautiful but slow girl, needed so much emotional support. uk and yul were not afraid to show their affection for each other, a trait i admired in all the three boys (jang uk, seo yul and park dang gu).

In which Bu-yeon remembered that she's Naksu and Jang Uk has to pick up his wife from Jinyowon.

“We can't break off, we are having a baby.” He crossed his arms.

We are what? The words were so out of touch with reality that made her pause in all her agony.

“Not, we are not.”

“How can you be so sure? We sure tried a lot.” He cocked his head in arrogance. “A consume marriage can’t be undone, anyway.”

“So you rather trapped me in?” She inquired in a dangerous tone, Naksu could at very least intimidate him.

“Don’t be so dramatic, dear, the one who came back to her prison cell was you.” She opened her mouth to argue, but it was truth, that room had been her prison for the last years. “I’m not letting you g …” He paused for a moment staring at her.

The Ice Stone user’s strange silence lasting for three heartbeats, she narrowed her eyes in puzzlement.

“What?”

“You have beautiful eyes.” He babbled stunned, Naksu looked away sheepishly, her cheeky burn embarrassed.

“Don’t change the subject!”

“You should come back home.” Her husband announced.

“Of course not! I don’t… What are you doing? Put me down!” She shouted outrage as he simply threw her over his shoulder. “UK! YOU’RE STUPID BASTARD, LET ME GO! GUARDS!”

Jang Uk ignored it all as he opened a portal to their home, and only let her go when they reach her bedchamber, where he dropped like a potato sack on the bed. Naksu leapt to her feet, snarling at the arrogant little shit, chasing him out of the door with slaps and curses. Her husband easily deflect her attacks opening the door.

“Keep in mind if you ran away, I’ll pick you up again.” The mage warned as she closed the door on his handsome face.

“What’s going on?” She heard Maidservant Kim through the door.

“Maidservant Kim, don’t let her leave the house for now.”

“What? Why, Young Master?”

“She wants to dissolve our marriage and let our child be fatherless.”

“C-child? Young Master? Wait!” Maidservant Kim shout behind the door.

Naksu stared at the door speechless to what she had just heard.

What had just happened?

Her hand went to her stomach on pure instinct, before she jumped in fear. She wasn't pregnant, she was going to die!

With the knowledge of true identity it didn’t only came back her despair and pain.  Hate, revenge, fury, violence. Naksu turned to these familiar feelings, and let them consume her to distract herself from the pain, she was used to them. A lifetime of it actually.

And who made me like this? She didn’t need to think much about it, the answer came as easy as breath. Danju.

She didn’t have much time though, for the assassin knew now, her soul would fade away with the wind. The real Bu-yeon explained after pulling Naksu out of the storm of emotions inside her heart after remembering. Soon the priestess would gain back her divine powers and Naksu’s soul would be gone. With that warning came a vision, of the world’s fate.

A world of ashes. The fire bird shall awake very soon.

A world that Naksu once dream of while blind by her fury. But that was before him, when she had only been a child, trained to be an assassin, now she had lived through many lifetimes. The world shouldn’t be destroyed, it should be protected, and the one who was going to do it was Jang Uk.

“You lost enough to understand.” Bu-yeon observed her with the face of Mu-deok with a blindfold.

“I’ll help.” Naksu promised.

Naksu went to Jinyowon to plan, to make them all pay for their sins. It was much more than a just petty vengeance. It was justice. To right the wrong. For the people she failed to protect.

And now here she was again in the household Jang.

After a few moments thinking, she called Maidservent Kim and send word to Lady Jin, so that the woman would not came demanding her daughter back. That was no used to avoid Jang Uk by running. Hurting him didn’t work either.

Why I’m so charming? Why did I seduce him? She blame her face, although her body was different from her original one, her beauty was back.

Not that Mu-deok was ugly or anything, after all she belong to the Jin family of Jinyowon, but Naksu was aware that her original face carried a distinct beauty.

Wait, does that mean that Uk fell for a beautiful woman? The bastard resisted her for how long? Definitively it was less than a month. Perhaps he recognized her just like she recognized him as her husband…

“I did it first this time.” She murmured going to get a bath, it was an awfully long day, after all.

After that she went to sleep, a peaceful dreamless sleep. It was already dark when something woke her up, Naksu tense up for a moment, confused about her surrounding, until she recognized the cool breeze around the room. The invader gently lifted the blanket to join her on the bed.

“Get out.” She said quietly as Uk snuggled against her body, it took a moment to realized he was naked. Not an unusual thing for him, they usually slept like that. Naksu cursed yet again their marriage.  “Get out, Uk.” She urged him.

“Shut up.” He cut her off holding her hand, she fought him. “You are the only one who can get rid of the wraiths, let me have one peaceful sleep, wife.”

“You can do that in your own room, husband.” He turned his back to Naksu, ignoring her, and forcefully pulled her arm to wrap around his middle. “Stop it!”

“You were the one who got me used to this warm, dear, doesn’t matter if we are fighting. Now, go to sleep now.”

“You are too cold.” She complained.

“You said you like it.”

“I lied.” Her husband had the nerve to chuckle quietly.

“What else did you lie about?” He whisperer to the dark, she felt a vicious urge to bite him.

“Well, every single time I came for starts…”

“I’ll kiss that insolent mouth of yours until you begged me to take you, if you don’t stop.” He threatened her who scoffed against his neck. “I’m tired, wife, I just came back from the Dark Forest.”

Silence fell upon them, in the last months that became a sort of code for them. Dark Forest meant that the wraiths were fighting him after using the Ice Stone power to kill soul shifter. Her arm slowly tighter around him, this usually were the worst days, where even thought she send the wraiths away, the ice magic took a toll on him.

He sighed in contentment as she cuddled against him, giving a softy kiss in her hand before intertwine their fingers. Seeing him so fulfill with her presence alone made her want to cry in despair, at same time it made her want to giggle in joy.

It was hysterical.
