Word Count: 2.5k
A/N: This made me think of “Whoop a Mans Ass” by Trace Adkins lol also sploosh
Tumblr media
You're standing in the middle of a dance floor in Texas trying to follow along next to Jake. He's insisted for months that you need to come home with him and get a real line dance experience after you dragged him to some bar back in San Diego that he called a disgrace. So, here you are laughing loudly and doing your best to keep up.
You're not very experienced but Jake is patient with you as you learn and he feels himself falling even more in love with you. You've seen many sides of your boyfriend in your time together, but watching Jake in his element at home is a whole new experience. Your eyes rake over his body, noticing the way his worn-in wranglers hug his thighs. He paired them with boots and a shiny belt buckle and you have half a mind to just pull him into the bathroom.
The song ends and the two of you step back to your table to rest for a few minutes. You watch him pop a toothpick in his mouth and get a wicked idea. Jake watches as you reach out and pluck the cowboy hat off his head, placing it on your own with a knowing smirk. Jake had given you a general rundown of southern etiquette, and first on the list was 'wear the hat, ride the cowboy'.
He knows exactly what you're up to and he's inclined to take the bait. You're standing in front of him in a pair of boots he bought you, cut-off shorts with a buckle that matches his and sporting his hat. It's like a scene pulled out of a wet dream and he thinks that his 16-year-old self would punch him in the dick for not hauling you over his shoulder right then and there.
He shakes his head with a bright smile and pulls you into him by your belt loop. He leans down and you expect him to kiss you but instead, he presses his mouth to your ear. "I'm going to the restroom. Grab us some refills, please?" He doesn't wait for your response, turning on his heel and walking in the opposite direction.
You take a second to regain your composure before heading up to the bar. You're busy trying to yell your order over the blaring sound of "Boot Scootin Boogie" when you see a man come up next to you. He hands the bartender his card and tells her to put it on his tab.
Your eyebrow quirks up and you wonder how this guy will feel when he finds out he just paid for another man's drink. Especially a man whose girlfriend he's trying to flirt with. You turn to him slightly to say thank you before looking back straight ahead.
The man doesn't take the hint and leans in a little too close for your liking. "I just paid for your drink, little lady. Least you could do is give me a name." You finally look at him fully and give him a once-over with a bored expression. He's dressed the same as every other man in here with a cowboy hat and pearl snap shirt. He's handsome, but he's no Jake.
"Y/N." You say in a monotone voice. He tips his hat forward with a grin before testing out your name on his tongue. "Y/N. Pretty name for a pretty girl. I'm Hunter. Need a dance partner?" How this man can't read your body language is beyond you.
"No, I'm here with my boyfriend." You explain while trying to spot Jake in the crowd. Your gaze finally meets his and you smile, shifting your eyes towards the man slightly to signal that you need him. The man sees this and takes thinks your change in demeanor is directed at him. Big mistake.
He leans on the bar and cages you in, one of his hands coming down to rest on your hip. Your eyes widen slightly as your view is blocked by his body and you feel anxiety shoot through your chest. It's not that you can't defend yourself, you've gotten into your fair share of altercations. But the man took you by surprise and now has the advantage over you.
He licks his lips and drags his eyes down your body. You feel small and dirty under his lustful gaze. It's no secret that this man is undressing you in his mind and thinking of you in ways only meant for Jake. "I don't see him anywhere, sugar." You wrinkle your nose at the comment. Aren't guys in the south supposed to be gentlemen?
You're contemplating kneeing this asshole in the dick when you hear Jake's voice and relief washes over you. "Turn around then, pretty boy." You don't know much about the culture down here, but based on this guy's reaction, you're guessing that's worse than being called a swear word.
The man looks over his shoulder but doesn't move. Jake has a bright shit eating grin when Hunter makes eye contact. "See me now?" He asks with his arms crossed and shoulders back. Hunter laughs and glances back toward you. "You left her alone. Seems fair game to me." He says with a shrug.
You're still blocked between his arms and Jake's patience is wearing thin. "She's wearing my hat asshole. Besides, whether she's spoken for or not, if a lady tells you no, you listen. Didn't your folks teach you anything?" His tone is sharp and you can tell he's reaching the end of his rope. He can see your hand shaking with anxiety and gets even angrier.
The man's hand tightens on your hip at Jake's words and you wince. Jake's eyes shoot down to where the stranger is touching you and his eyes darken before darting back up. He takes a second to size the man up and weigh his chances of winning this fight. He decides his odds are pretty good and he takes a step toward the man's back.
"You have to the count of three to get your hand off my girl before I break it." He says a little too calmly. If there's one thing you've learned about Jake, it's that he runs his mouth because he has the hands to back it.
The man turns around and you take the opportunity to maneuver around him. Jake takes your hand and quickly pushes you back, using his body to shield yours.
Hunter stands to his full height and he's got a couple inches on Jake. Usually back home, if a man tried something he would back down as soon as he was challenged. Most of them didn't actually want a fight, and they knew better than to fuck with a man who so easily hurls threats as if it's second nature. Not to mention Jake almost always had a height and strength advantage.
Here though, the environment is completely different. It's rural Texas and most of the men know how to fight. Almost all of them grew up working on farms or ranches so Jake's physique from the Navy isn't special.
The man smirks at Jake and for the first time, you worry he might have met his match. It wouldn't normally concern you seeing as Jake would have backup, but here he's alone and you don't know if this asshole has any friends lurking nearby.
The man looks at you once more and what leaves his mouth next leaves you wanting a shower. "How about I kick your ass and then she can wear my hat instead." His stare reminds you of a predator stalking its prey and you shrink into yourself. Jake's body tenses at the implication and before you can process what's happening, you watch his fist connect with the man's cheek.
You jump back knowing damn well you don't want to be within range of either one of them. Hunter stumbles back a bit and turns his head to look at your boyfriend with a mocking smile. "That all you got?" He taunts and swings at Jake. He socks your boyfriend in the eye and your hands fly up over your mouth.
There's a crowd forming now and you watch in horror as the two of them start an all-out fistfight. Jake is holding his own pretty well but he's taken a few hits and has blood running down his cheek and a split lip.
They've knocked over a few barstools and are now on the ground. Hunter is on top of Jake but each of his attempts are blocked. It takes Jake a second to regain control but when he does he lands a devastating blow that causes the man to lose his footing and fall on his back. He lays there groaning and you thank god it seems to be over.
Jake spits down at the man and he turns to face you. For the first time since all this started, you're able to get a good look at both men. Hunter is still on the ground and he has blood flowing freely from his nose and eyebrow. You examine Jake's face next and while he took a beating, the other guy is definitely worse off.
You see he's still bleeding and there are already bruises forming. He has a busted blood vessel in his eye and the area is already dark and swollen. You shake your head as you think about how the hell he's going to explain all of this when he reports to duty in a few days.
You see movement over Jake's shoulder and grab his hand as you watch security making its way over. The two of you leave quickly and you stick your hand out for the keys. He gives you a skeptical look and you scoff. "You need to try and stop the bleeding, Jake. You shouldn't be driving."
He sighs softly but nods his head and hands them over. The ride back is quiet aside from the sound of the AC blowing and country music playing softly over the radio. Jake has found some napkins in the glove box and has them pressed to his cheek but it doesn't do much to help.
Once you're back, the two of you swiftly head up to your room while trying to keep your heads down. You see people staring out of the corner of your eye and speed up with Jake hot on your tail. You manage to make it to the suite and you pull Jake into the bathroom.
You point at the toilet with a firm expression. "Sit." You demand and Jake obliges, waiting silently for your next move. You grab a first aid kit that you always travel with and almost laugh.
Jake always makes fun of you for it, saying you're too over-prepared. You've always told him there's no such thing. The whole thing seems funny now, and you don't think you'll ever let him live it down since he just proved you right.
Once you've gathered everything you need, you walk over to him and he looks up at you with adoration. Your face softens and you sigh quietly. "This is going to sting." You tell him while pouring some alcohol on a rag.
He wraps his hands around the back of your thighs and pulls you forward so that you're standing between his legs while he stares up at you. "Do what you need to darlin'." His accent is so thick down here and you can't help but smile at the sound.
You don't respond, choosing instead to get straight to work. You press the cloth to his cheek first and he doesn't even flinch. Your eyebrow quirks at his lack of reaction and your stomach does a flip. Something about a man getting into a fight and then being able to handle the pain while you take care of him apparently does it for you.
You turn to grab some gauze and Jake speaks up. "I'm sorry. Not for fighting but for ruining your first night out. It was supposed to be fun." You glance over at him before turning back to the box in front of you.
"You didn't ruin it. You protected me and took a beating for me. Besides, I'd say this is pretty fun." You tease with a sly grin and Jake leans forward to kiss your hip in response.
Once you've cleaned his cheek and stopped the bleeding the best you can, you move on to his lip. The bleeding there has slowed down significantly and all you have to do is wipe over it to disinfect the cut.
You grab another clean rag and wet it, wiping as much dried blood off his face and neck as you can. It's dripped down onto his shirt and chest and you stare at the sight for a few seconds, darting your tongue out to wet your lips. What does it say about you that you find a bruised and bloody man sexy? You don't ponder on it for long, opting to look back at Jake's face.
He has a smug grin and twinkle in his eyes after catching you staring at him but doesn't say anything. You shake your head to try and clear it before stepping back. "Get in the shower and clean up. I'm going to get some ice for your eye. It's already a pretty nasty shiner so we need to do as much damage control as possible."
He nods his head dutifully and salutes. "Yes ma'am." He says seriously but he can't fight the smile breaking out on his face. You give him a pointed look and turn on your heel to find the ice bucket. You hear Jake step into the shower just as you walk out the door to get ice and when you get back, the water is still running.
You grab a fresh set of sleep clothes and step back into the steam-filled room to leave them on the counter for him. You falter when you see him through the glass shower.
His head is back with his eyes closed as water pours over his face and down the front of his body. He has a few bruises on his stomach and ribs and your heart twinges. You didn't realize he was this banged up.
Jake must have sensed your presence because he steps out from under the stream and pushes his hair back off his forehead while turning to you. You watch him lick his lips and your legs almost give out.
His eyes rake down your figure and you realize you're still wearing your clothes from the bar, including his hat. He brings his gaze back up to meet yours and cocks his head slightly to the side. "Join me?" He asks and you hesitate.
You know his body has to be hurting in more ways than one and you don't want to make it worse. You lose your resolve when you see Jake run a bar of soap down his abs. You take his hat off carefully and step forward, throwing your shirt to the ground in the process. Fuck it. You see Jake's smile widen and you swear this man is going to kill you. God bless Texas.

Give Sparrow a happy memory. Or a happy occurrence. Like something goes right, he’s free and has a good day. Maybe cuddled up by the fire just quiet and content. Or he has a social success after being freed. I want to see him smile.
Thank you so much for this! I had a ton of fun writing this and it made my heart warm seeing my boy be vulnerable and not rejecting the help he needs. This piece is so sweet and I can't get enough of it! Thank you so much as well for the use of your characters Ben and Zoe from your Bother's Keeper series @darkthingshappen! I can't wait to see more of Sparrow and Ben (whether they're having good moments or traumatic ones hehe).
TW: implied and briefly mentioned past torture and abuse, past injuries that are still healing, mentioned past captivity (if I missed any, let me know!)
Repaying the Favor (A Warehouse Drabble)
The doctors told him it would do him good if he got up and walked around every few hours. To build up his strength and stamina again, they had said. Despite it being a bit of a struggle at first, Ben told himself that it would help in the long run.
Walking the halls of the hospital floor he was on was his safest option. It also felt like his safest option. Plenty of doctors to help if something happened, as well as still being close to his brother. Ben wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if something happened to Jake and he wasn’t there for him.
The Adkins brother was barely ten minutes into his walk before he passed by an open hospital room. The sounds coming from the room had him on edge and before he continued on so he wouldn’t end up panicking, he realized it sounded familiar.
Hesitantly, he approached the open door, kicking it gently as a form of knocking to alert the person inside so he wouldn’t hurt his hands. The figure’s head shot up from his spot on his bed, anger and fear plastered on his face before he recognized Ben, his expression softening slightly.
“You alright, Sparrow?” Ben asked, leaning gently on the door frame to catch his breath.
Sparrow shook his head slightly as he averted his gaze from the other, trying to get his expression to level out. “Yeah, yeah I’m fine. What are you doing out of your room? I thought you couldn’t walk around much.”
“The doctor’s told me that it’ll do me good to walk around every few hours. B-Build up my strength again.” He paused, looking Sparrow over. His hair was messy and disheveled, heavy bags under his eyes, his arms had red hand prints in spots where the other probably squeezed them as tight as he could, the blankets on his bed all shoved to one end, and several different items littered across the room as if he had thrown them. “Y-You sure you’re alright?”
Sparrow nodded in agreement to the explanation before letting out a soft grumble. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Ben didn’t believe it, not with what he saw. When he saw Sparrow the other day, he looked just as tired, but he seemed to be holding up well enough. He had come to visit Jake in his room and the two talked for a bit. His brother still wasn’t awake, but the doctors had told him that things were improving and that he should be awake within the next few days.
As he continued to look around Sparrow’s room, an idea blossomed in his head. When he had first run into Sparrow here, he had learned that Sparrow couldn’t read on his own. Upon having more conversations, Ben had learned that Sparrow enjoyed listening to books, especially fantasy. Sparrow had explained that Dr. Sharpe had introduced the genre to him with the help of audio books and that they helped take his mind off of everything. Why Sparrow wasn’t listening to a book right now, Ben didn’t know, but he thought it might help him since it didn’t look like Sparrow was going to seek out help on his own.
“I have to go grab s-something,” Ben told him, but Sparrow gave little to no reaction to the statement, merely pulling his legs up to his chest before placing his forehead on his knees.
He turned and started back to his room again, and while it took a bit to get back, Ben found exactly what he was looking for when he entered his room on the side table by his bed. A day or two ago, Dr. Sharpe and Ben had been talking about trying to find healthy distractions while he healed from everything he had been through and Ben had mentioned how much he had missed reading. The conversation switched to how much he wanted to read, but with his injured hands, it was extremely difficult to hold books, so Dr. Sharpe had come up with a temporary solution while his hands were still healing.
A couple hours after their session, Alex went and visited Ben’s room and gave him an iPad with a case that had a shoulder strap on it filled to the brim with books from the different genres Ben liked to read. He had been overjoyed when Alex gave it to him and he had already read through several of the books on there.
Zoe was on one of the chairs in his room when he came back and she looked up from her phone, a bit surprised to see him back so soon.
“You doing alright?” she asked, setting her phone down on her lap.
“Yeah,” Ben responded, still a bit out of breath. “I just wanted to grab the iPad. I passed by Sparrow’s room and it looked like he wasn’t doing so well, so I thought I’d read to him for a bit.”
Zoe’s expression softened more and Ben mirrored it. He could never get enough of her smile, it always warmed his heart to no end.
“That’s very sweet of you, Ben. Are you sure you’ll have the energy?” she asked.
He nodded, carefully slinging the strap over his shoulder, resting his forearm along the side of the case to ensure the strap wouldn’t fall off his shoulder. “I think so, and I believe he needs it. His room is down near the end of the hallway before the nurses station if you need it.”
Zoe tilted her head to the side a bit, letting out a small content hum, “Alright. Your mother said she’d be by later to bring us something to eat that’s better than hospital food. If you’re not back when she comes by, I’ll come grab you.”
“Sounds good,” Ben said, giving her a soft smile before making his way back out into the hallway.
It took him a little longer to make it back to Sparrow’s room, pausing every few minutes to catch his breath, but once he reached his door, he knocked gently again with his foot. Ben heard a soft groan from inside and he took that as his invitation to enter the room, letting out a breath as he leaned against the door frame.
Sparrow hadn’t changed positions from when Ben had first left, lifting his head from his knees at the sound before giving Ben a bit of a sour expression as he looked the Adkins brother over.
“I brought something that might lift your spirits,” Ben said softly, trying his best not to take the bitter look to heart.
“There isn’t much you can really do to help,” Sparrow mumbled, laying his head back on his knees.
Ben let out a small hum before making his way over to Sparrow’s hospital bed, pausing before he sat down. “May I sit?” he asked.
The other lifted his hand and gestured beside him, Ben smiling slightly before taking a seat. It took him a moment to scoot himself backwards so his back was against the wall, but once he was settled, Ben gently swung the iPad onto his lap.
Sparrow paid him no attention, letting out a few mumbled words here and there while Ben unlocked the iPad and scrolled through the books, trying to find the right one.
It pained Ben a bit to see Sparrow like this. He had come to learn things about the other over the past week or so that he never thought he’d learn and it had brought new light to how he saw Sparrow. Despite how awful his own captivity had been, Ben couldn’t help but feel bad for Sparrow’s go of things. He couldn’t even imagine what it would have been like to grow up in such an awful system and still come out of it twenty-one years later with the same fighting spirit he had when he first got there. If it had been him, Ben would have been a hollow shell with nothing left of him after a few years.
Ben’s face lit up when he found the book he was looking for, opening it before glancing towards the other. His head was still buried in his knees, but his hands were starting to go white with how tight they were gripping the sides of his arms.
“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit,” Ben began, trying to keep his voice level and light.
At the start of the book, Sparrow lifted his head in confusion, looking over to Ben. Seeing the iPad on his lap while Ben read clued Sparrow in that he was reading. To him. At first, Sparrow’s immediate reaction was to tell him to stop and leave so he could be by himself, but that didn’t last long. The more Ben spoke, the more Sparrow became interested in the story.
A very light blush flooded his cheeks as he listened to Ben read, part of him embarrassed that the other was reading to him. Sparrow hadn’t even thought of finding his iPod to listen to any of his books. It truly showed how tired and on edge he was.
Out of the corner of his eye, Ben could see Sparrow perk up, how he scooted closer and stretched out his legs, peering over his shoulder to look at the screen. It made Ben smile, spurring him on even more to continue.
Sparrow didn’t know how to outwardly explain why he enjoyed fantasy books so much. It had been one of the first books Alex had read to him before the doctor had given him the iPod, and it all just sounded so interesting. They made him feel safe in a way as he lived the life of the main character. It was something different and it took him out of the real world and into a much different one. It was magical.
At one point as Ben continued to read, the different voices he was attempting as each character spoke started to make Sparrow feel drowsy due to the lack of noise in his head. His entire focus was on Ben’s voice and the words seamlessly flowing out of his mouth, allowing both his mind and body to finally start to relax.
Ben had read these books countless times as he grew up but each time he returned to the series, it was like he was reading them for the first time. His attention was so focused on the book that he nearly startled when Sparrow leaned against his side as he looked over his shoulder. It made Ben smile once the initial startle wore off, continuing on without pause.
It only took a few more minutes before Ben felt Sparrow’s head gently fall on his shoulder, the older man letting out a heavy, relaxed sigh as he continued to listen to the book. The slight pressure against his side brought back awful memories for Ben, but they were short lived as he thought about it rationally. Sparrow wasn’t going to hurt him and after a bit, the feeling felt rather calming. It was gentle and the only movement came from Sparrow’s breathing, which Ben could tell was slowing down to a relaxed rate.
At the end of the second chapter, Ben paused, slowly trying to turn his head to look at Sparrow, and with what he could manage without hitting Sparrow’s head with his chin, he saw that the other was asleep, light breaths leaving his nose every other second.
Ben couldn’t help but smile softly at the sight, recalling a memory from several months ago when Sparrow had offered him the same kind of comfort back at the Warehouse. He had stayed awake and promised to look after him and Jake while they slept until Damon and Volkov returned the next morning, allowing Ben to rest against him in the exact same way that Sparrow was now. He was honored that he could repay the favor after so much time.
After another moment, Ben flagged the second chapter in the book before he continued reading out loud, hoping to provide some ambient noise for Sparrow while he slept so he didn’t have any nightmares. Ben got so wrapped up in the book, he didn’t even realize how much time had passed until Zoe gently knocked on the door.
His head shot up at the noise, Ben trying his best not to jostle his body much as to not wake Sparrow.
“Hey, your mom is here with the food,” she said, walking into the room a bit. Ben raised his right hand, doing his best to bring a finger near his lips.
“Shh, try not to be too loud. He fell asleep a while ago and I don’t want to wake him. He looked like he needed the rest.”
Zoe gave Ben a heartwarmed smile at the sight and it made his heart swell seeing it.
“I’ll go tell your mom you’ll be a bit then. You’re still doing okay though?” she asked, her voice now in a whisper.
Ben nodded softly, looking over to Sparrow, who was still asleep on his shoulder. “Thank you, Zoe.”
Zoe gave him a smile in return before she waved goodbye and left, leaving Ben and Sparrow alone so Ben could continue reading. After a few seconds, Ben picked up where he left off and he could have sworn that the moment he started again, he saw Sparrow smile a bit out of the corner of his eye.

Please can you do and imagine loosely based off the song Honky Tonk Badonkadonk by Trace Adkin for a Hangman x y/n imagine because this song is SO him! And i can just see a y/n waitress having to deal with a cocky drunk Jake trying to impress her all the whilst he’s singing this at the top of his lungs for the attention from the reader and others around him, bonus points if his friends back him up too 😂 i love your writing and if you manage to do this i hope it’s fun to write!
HAHAH i love this idea. I hope I did it justice!
Drunk Flirting. J.S
Tumblr media
warnings: jake being jake, drunk idiots, country music, suggestive themes (i guess?)
a/n: this was so fucking funny to write. i was constantly laughing my ass off. i must say, basing a one shot on a song is a bit difficult, but i hope i did it right. (i left some of the lyrics out, as they didnt make sense for the fic lol)
While working at The Hard Deck, Y/N was used to arrogant, drunk Naval Aviators, making passes at her. She was very used to Jake “Hangman” Seresin hitting her up every time he stepped foot into The Hard Deck.
Today, after a long day of training, Hangman and his friends made their way into The Hard Deck. While Rooster, Phoenix, and Bob made their way to the pool table, Hangman made his way over to flirt with Y/N, as he usually did.
"Hey sweet girl, can I get 4 beers please" he smirks at you.
Today, you're wearing shorts with a graphic tee tucked into them. Your shorts are on the shorter side, and as much as Hangman wants to think you did this for him, it was simply laundry day for you.
You make your way to the other side of the bar to fill up 4 beers, when Hangman whistles at you. "Are you wearing those for me? Those are some of the shortest shorts I've ever seen." he beamed.
"Yes, Jake. I am 100% wearing these shorts just for you." you laugh, sarcastically, shoving the 4 beers towards him. "Thanks sweetheart" he grinned, turning around and promptly stopped before swinging back around, "they look really good on you, Y/N". he exclaims while throwing a wink at you.
Hustlers shootin' eight ball Throwin' darts at the wall
Rolling your eyes, you watch as the friend group played pool and threw darts occasionally.
A few hours pass by, after many beers and some tequila shots, its safe to say Hangman and the crew are good as done, as they're stumbling over each other. She begins to walk over to the friend group, letting them know you're about to close and that they need to find their rides home, when you hear Hangman and his friends break out into song.
"Here she comes, lord help us all" Rooster sings, slurred.
"Poor ole boy, it aint his fault. It's so hard not to stare" Bob (you're shocked) chimes in.
"At that honky tonk badonkadonk" Hangman screams, staring you up and down. You're so beyond confused at this point and just start laughing to hide your embarrassment as a few bar stragglers have now gathered around you to watch as this drunken friend group is singing the most absurd country song ever.
Your face turns bright red as Hangman grabs your hand and twirls you around.
"Keepin' perfect rhythm, make ya wanna swing along" Phoenix adds in, laughing in between words. Yea, she's extra drunk.
"Got it goin' on, like Donkey Kong" Bob laughs at your bright red face. You're used to only Hangman making passes at you in his friend group, so this whole scene is totally out of the ordinary.
"And whoo-wee, shut my mouth, slap your grandma, there oughta be a law, get the Sheriff on the phone" Rooster laughs, staring at you as you begin to walk away, just beyond embarrassed. You want to go hide in the storage closet until this all blows over. Rooster stands up and drunkenly strides over to stop you.
"Lord have mercy, how'd she even get them britches on that honky tonk badonkadonk" Hangman slurs, giving you a wink. You pull your shorts down a bit more, as if that's going to help anything. Your face is basically the colour of a tomato, and you've never been this flustered at Jakes shenanigans, but today is different.
"Now Honey, you can't blame her" Phoenix sings, smiling as Rooster moves you closer to the group, after you just accepted the fact that they're not going to shut up.
"For what her mama gave her. It ain't right to hate her" Bob smiles, giving you a wink (wow this is totally out of character for bob)
"For workin' that money-maker." Hangman slurs, drunkenly stumbling over to pull you over to the bar.
"We hate to see her go, but love to watch her leave" Rooster yells as you and Hangman make your way to the bar.
Finally, the song seems to end. Your face looks like you've spent all day in the sun. You're nearly shaking as Hangman takes your hand.
"I hope you enjoyed that sweetheart, i love that song" he grins, as you roll your eyes.
"I'm very used to your antics, Jake. I was shocked the rest of your friends chimed in." you sigh. Jake just continues to stare at you, with puppy dog eyes.
"Can I finally take you out?" you chuckle as he says that, like you can't believe he'd have the audacity to push further after THAT.
"You're way too drunk right now. Lets get you and your friends in a cab, and maybe you can ask me next time." you grunt, trying to hold up Hangman as you lead him and his friends out to the cab.

Some lore question about brothers keeper second captivity arc (with Jake this time) I might have missed the answers to these questions somewhere in the masterlist so sorry about that, if you could point me in the direction of the answers I'd appreciate it
Why are the 4 (Volkov, Ben, Jake and Dmitri) on an island? Aren't they in Russia somewhere? Where's Ilya and Andrei? Did they die or smth? Is it only the 4 of them or are there more? Why did Volkov and Dmitri make Ben and Jake pretend to be into them? Just to fuck with them or was some part of it genuine? I ask bc I srsly didn't expect Volkov to kidnap Ben AGAIN (or his brother) and Volkov said they can work up to pet names, implying they were gonna do that again. Also, when Ben and Jake are rescued, are Volkov and Dmitri killed? I couldn't tell if they were from what I read and I wanna be sure because fuck those guys
So, there are some things here that I cannot answer because of upcoming plot points. That said, here is what I can answer…
The fics where they are on an island are set AFTER Ben has been rescued from his first captivity and then recapture with Jake a couple or three years later. For the most part it is just the four of them. (No I cannot say what happened to any other characters at this time. You will eventually find out.)
Yes Dmitri and Volkov made Ben and Hake pretend to be in to them just to fuck with their heads. They are incredibly sadistic. Basically they told each of them separately that if they would play along, then the other would be spared any torture or abuse for a full day. They both did it to save the other. The self debasement was part of the torture.
Volkov is ALWAYS fucking with Ben. Always. So I’m sure he has future plans to fuck with him even more in the future. He’s a bastard.
Lastly, the fate of Volkov and Dmitri is intentionally vague. The main story line will get there eventually. I have not publicly revealed what happens with either of them. Not yet. Sorry for the stuff I can’t answer. And sorry it took me so long to answer. Thank you for the ask.

Tumblr media
DENVER — An Aurora man convicted of shooting at a pursuing Douglas County deputy during a high-speed chase was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison.Jorge Armando Guzman, 42, pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder, vehicular eluding and possession of a weapon by a previous offender stemming from the Sept. 5, 2021 incident. Guzman will also serve five years of mandatory parole upon release.Guzman was with Melinda Maldonado, 40, at the time of the incident. She was also sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding and accessory to a crime.“Mr. Guzman was just released from the Denver County Jail and was picked up by the co-defendant to steal catalytic converters off cars,” Senior Deputy DA Corrie Caler said in a statement. “As a felon, this defendant should not have had a gun in the first place.”The pair were attempting to steal car parts from a home in the 9700 block of Millstone Court when a Douglas County deputy spotted the two and gave chase.Guzman, sitting in the passenger seat of a fleeing SUV, fired five shots at the pursuing deputy at one point during the chase, which reached speeds in excess of 100 mph.The pursuit ended when the SUV crashed on the northbound I-25 off-ramp for Arapahoe Road.“This defendant showed no regard for human life by recklessly firing multiple shots at a sheriff’s deputy doing his job,” Senior Deputy DA Jake Adkins said in a statement. “Any one of those bullets could have easily injured or killed the deputy or anyone else on the road that night.” The Follow Up What do you want Denver7 to follow up on? Review: One More Shot
Scott Adkins is back as Jake Harris in One More Shot. Read the Screen One review here #OneMoreShot #ScottAdkins #MichaelJaiWhite @mrjamesnunn @TheScottAdkins @MichaelJaiWhite @AlexisKnapp
James Nunn’s ‘One More Shot’ brings back the adrenaline-pumping action with Scott Adkins reprising his role as Navy SEAL, Jake Harris. Adkins looking like a Cosplay British Ryan Reynolds (Which is no bad thing) really has raised the bar since the original One Shot and really is becoming the flag bearer for the all out British action star. One More Shot cements his place firmly. Jason Statham…
