Squidward and SpongeBob are VERY close in the recent episodes

Firstly, I’ve noticed that SpongeBob has been a bit more chill and is starting to act more like Squidward. In Gary’s Playhouse, SpongeBob is literally doing the hand thing Squidward does. The context behind the image is that they were saying how cute Gary and the other creatures looked and Patrick showed up and joined them, but for some reason they weren’t impressed by that. SpongeBob is literally behaving just like Squidward here

In the same episode, SpongeBob suddenly decides to wear a nightgown. Who else wears a nightgown? SQUIDWARD. And not only that, but they’re wearing the EXACT same type. The only difference is that they’re wearing their usual pj colors (which are complimentary colors btw). SpongeBob is also doing Squidward’s hand thing again

SquidBird kinda ruined the SquidBob streak but not really. I can’t put anymore images but the things I noticed is that Squidward is more mad at Patrick than SpongeBob (this actually happens a lot but I noticed it in this episode). Also SpongeBob was nice and decided to try to get the clams away from Squidward by teaching them to avoid him. Like that’s a very caring thing for him to do (I’m saying this cause people like to say SpongeBob ruins everything for Squidward, when he really doesn’t. If he does then he does his best to fix the issue)

loves you a lot and i think she subconsciously leans into you when you guys are walking together or sitting with one another; especially if youre taller than her (very likely). while i dont think theres anyone in the circus whos mean enough to bodyshame you (yes this includes jax), on the chance that someone is being mean to you for whatever reason, shes going to do her best to try to stand up for you. very soft, cuddling before was already a must but i think she enjoys your extra softness.. on days where you feel a little more self conscious than normal, regardless of this is about your digital body or this is an au that takes place in the real world, i think she would sheepishly list off the things she loves about you <3

JAX:

borrowing that last idea from pomnis idea, i think he would struggle with trying to make you feel better about yourself. its not that he doesnt care about you or your problems, its just that jax isnt the best at comforting or uplifting people... though you know that early spongebob episode where squidward gets on that dudes ass for yelling at spongebob and making him cry? the pizza episode? honestly i think if theres something like that going on, he tries to solve it the same way squidward did. being blunt and rude with the dickhead, or perhaps targeting them for his pranks and making them nastier than usual... but to be blunt with you and be comforting? thats going to be rare and to be successful is even rarer... i dont think jax would be a big enough asshole to make comments about your weight, regardless of if its your digital body or real one, we dont stand for that here...

Dipper Pines

Mabel being autistic and adhder is a popular headcanon I've seen several times, but I dont understand how no one seems to care about poor Mason guy. I mean, its clear for me that he is autistic as well. He struggles in social situations, has anxiety, wears the same outfit everyday to avoid wasting time thinking about what to wear, the diaries and the author are clearly his special interests to the point he doesn't sleep bc of it, he stims without even noticing by chewing pens when he's stressed plus he's probably trans.

This is a headcanon I've seen a little discussion on and I completely agree. Star behaves differently than those around her and although the show tried this to look like a cultural shock cause shes from another dimension, even in Mewni the only one who understands her is her father. She has echolalia, she happy stims by jumping and clapping, she hyperfocus/obsess, cant stand boredom, always find a way to have fun, she cant get the hint that someone dont like her; Marco was running away terrified of her while she was happily waving at him and saying goodbye and when Britney told her she would invite her to her party when pigs fly she took it literally. She's passionate, resolve things her way, can have strong emotional reactions, shes creative, very energetic and with a strong sense of justice.

Spongebob

I dont even know where to start, not only bc it is incredibly obvious hes autistic, but also it makes angry that his autistic traits are portrayed as annoying in the show and the ableist inside it.

His special interests are krabby patties. He loves his work, although its not even a work for him, its his life, he loves doing this with a passion, he don't want to stop doing it and gets depressed when Mr Crabs forces him to have some vacations.

He can became hyperfocus/obsessive, specially when it comes to krabby patties and the krusty crab in general.

He is very sensitive and experience his emotions very strongly, hes caring and get attached easily.

He doesn't get when people dont like him, although he is aware that he annoys Squidward and even have a day only to annoy him with Patrick, the rest of his interactions with him or anyone, he doesn't seems aware, something thats portrayed as "dumb" which I totaly hate btw.

He acts younger than he is, even some citizens of bikini bottom refer to him as a kid, when he's actually 20 something. More like an adult who does whatever he wants and makes him happy to me. It doesn't seem like he dislikes being called a kid by others but it stills annoy me a bit cause the ✨️ ableism ✨️ yk.

He has an "inappropriate" and "annoying" laugh and in general he is "annoying" and it piss me off that all that considered annoying are nd traits, and it personally annoys me more bc Spongebob has been my favorite cartoon since I'm like four and most of the think he does, I do them too.

Since episode one u can tell she has adhd and how the principal(? of her school and her mom, instead of trying to understand her, only want her to change and bahave like she should. Not like the spiders where the best idea but still, they also wanted her to stop engaging on her silly fantasy books. Very understandable she decided to stay at the boiling isles.

She lives in her own world. She's full of creativity, passion, new ideas, she wants not only to explore the world, she want to do it now, like, rn. Shes also very energetic, always ready for an adventure or a lecture as long as shes interested.

Oscar

He is so clearly autistic to me. He has difficulties with change and adapting, something we see the moment he arrives at the camp and his parents leave; he even tries to leave bc this new environment, all the changes, being away from the safety his parents represent its too much for him.

Hes anxious asf, hes clumsy and a little clingy. He get his confidence when he feels safe with his friends and in the moment theyre not around he starts getting worried.

He is a calm guy who likes doing things his way and prefer staying at his cabin, chill and cozy but who also likes and is willing to go on adventure as long as he feels comfortable and safe with his friends, from which he gets his strength.

Reassurance and a book are enough to make him happy.

I love him. Hes also the character i relate the most with from this list (I relate to all except from Dipper and Neddy).

Neddy

Same thing as with Dipper and Mabel, Neddy is Princess Bubblegum brother, her being autistic is a well known headcanon but Neddy, oh man, hes pretty much too but since he has so little screen time I wouldn't be surprised if people dont even remember him.

He is non verbal and very very sensitive to noise and change, being Bonnies song the only thing that can calm him during a meltdown.

There's not much else to say, Bonnie and Neddy is the only episode hes part of, but i think thats enough. Since the very beginning, he seemed very overwhelmed by the different environments and noises him and Bonnie were facing after leaving the mother gum. He desseperatily cries and tries to run away from the danger or discomfort hes feeling.

I really wish he had at least another episode to see his relationship with his family and to understand and get to know him more, apart from the ending scene in which Bonnie and their aunt are singing to him.

(For the record, i dont like Bonnie but i do like this quote from Bonnie and Neddy. It also goes pretty well with this post.)

Part 4: Reigisa & SquidBob: The Differences

So, I've talked about how these ships are similar - which was the whole idea behind this entire masterpost in the first place. However, it'd be remiss not to cover how these ships differ from each other as well.

To get it out of the way, I'll state the obvious: one ship is two sea creatures and the other is two anime school boys. They could not be more different in that regard... but I won't be covering that below.

How their relationship has evolved in canon

Looking back at the previous parts of this post, it would be easy to say this is just another similarity between them. And, don't get me wrong, it totally is! However, when we take each show's canon at face value without looking deeper, the relationships do look a bit different.

From a purely canon "Free!" perspective, Rei and Nagisa are regarded as best friends, and see each other as such.

When it comes to the canon in "Spongebob Squarepants," this still seems to be more one-sided - at least publicly. Squidward has shown time and time again that he does care about Spongebob, but this primarily comes out in moments where a) he thinks no one of importance is watching (i.e., mutual acquaintances/friends) or b) the circumstances are dire.

"Spongebob, no matter what I've said, I've always sort of liked you." (Squidward Tentacles, "Graveyard Shift")

One instance that comes to mind for Squidward is the end of "Fools in April," when he apologizes to Spongebob for the hurtful prank he pulled. During this apology, he admits that he likes him (and all their friends), he likes living next door, and he likes "hearing [his] foghorn alarm in the morning and [his] high-pitched giggling at night." When Spongebob finally comes out and asks him if it's all true, he's groveling on the ground, confessing that "yes, yes, Spongebob. Yes, it's all true." He struggled to say this to Spongebob at first as he wasn't one to apologize anyway. But, when it really came down to it, this confession was for Spongebob and Spongebob alone.

When he realizes that everyone else heard what he said, only THEN does he take it back and pretend it was all a joke.

Many of the episodes we've gotten of Squidward being genuinely kind (or even flirty) to Spongebob often happen when no one - or at least no one he will likely meet again - is around to see it (ex. Pizza Delivery, Bubble Bass' Tab, etc.). Spongebob on the other hand...

It begs the question: why is Squidward so concerned with his and Spongebob's mutual connections noticing that he cares about Spongebob? ORRRR... is it that he's worried that they'll catch on to how much he cares about Spongebob?

This brings me to...

Acceptance of feelings

Now that we've talked about where these two dynamic duos started out and how their actions towards each other have changed, it's time to look at how they seem to feel about each other in regards to their relationship.

When we look at Reigisa, it's clear that Rei has completely accepted Nagisa. In all of Nagisa's optimistic, pushy, hyperactive, and generally childish nature - Rei seems to have embraced it all.

I mean, look at these two acting like a proper couple out here on main. In public. Right in front of our salads.

Basically, Rei - who has been routinely stuck in his ways and overthinks everything - no longer gives a single fuck. While the old Rei would've been embarrassed and awkward about Nagisa's affections, the Rei we know later on has fully thrown caution to the wind and he clearly loves Nagisa too much to care what others think about it.

I've mentioned how Spongebob and Nagisa have both openly told their person "I love you." Even Squidward has said this out loud (which I will get to!). And while Rei hasn't blatantly said these three words to my knowledge, just see the way he looks at Nagisa. He doesn't even have to.

Meanwhile, SquidBob is totally there, too. I doubt I would be as fascinated by them as I am if that weren't the case!

I mean, LOOK. They have their own PJ/sleepover moments, too!

However, the fundamental difference here is that while Rei has let go of any expectations of himself to be with Nagisa (he's... free 😉), Squidward is unable to fully do the same with Spongebob for some reason.

I think it's obvious to anyone that Spongebob loved/was infatuated with Squidward from the beginning and his feelings only seem more apparent in the later seasons. Squidward has also made massive progress since then... but there's always a catch.

"I love him... and I hate him." (Squidward Tentacles, "Sponge on the Run") *Tenderly holds Spongebob's hands, getting down on one knee* "You know I... hate you, right?" (Squidward Tentacles, "SpongeBob You're Fired")

MAKE UP YOUR MIND, SQUIDWARD. He is a walking contradiction when it comes to our little spongey friend and he is so close to figuring it out.

However, as I demonstrated above, it doesn't seem like he's ready to take the leap. I personally think he loves Spongebob just as much as Rei loves Nagisa, but he is so self-conscious about being perceived a certain way and/or being embarrassed by Spongebob. Therefore, as we saw in the last post, he thinks he needs to be with people who have the exact same personality as him for it to work... but it never seems to last. (For context, the tweet from Vincent Waller essentially confirms that Squilvia & Squidward are over).

All in all, these two pairings represent the difference between an established relationship (Reigisa) and a slow-burn romance (SquidBob) - they are very much on the same level in terms of cuteness and how much we love seeing their relationships develop BUT they are at very different stages in those relationships.

Regardless of what their "official" relationship statuses are, they are both very much canon in my heart. 🌈💖

If Marinette was a guy, let me tell you what would've happened. People would go WILD for a sensitive, artistic and cute boy who's lovesick and a big romantic. Him having Adrien's photos would never be a big deal bc from a long time, fandom is apologetic and too forgiving of a male characters action. He wouldn't be called a stalker, he would be called protective and so possessive and cute. I've seen ppl defend a guy who drugs the mc and sexually assaulted her. Trust me, this won't be a problem.

I know! Literally the only male main characters who get crap for their behaviour are Danny Zuko from Grease, Noah from Notebook, Howard Volovitz from Bug Bang Theory (who btw had character development unlike Raj who ACTUALLY deserves hate but doesn't get it) and Ross Geller from Friends. Everyone else is totally fine.

I know the praise for being "good fathers" Homer Simpson from Simpsons and Richard Waterson from The Amazing World Of Gumball get when they are both sh*tty fathers and sh*tty husbands.

Homer always whines about how much he hates his life and his own family and his job and literally all his friends tell him they would die for a life like that but he doesn't appreciate it. Every time Marge told him to do something useful for their household he doesn't want to do it and she has to. For a while I loved him because he's hands down the funniest character in the show until he found out Marge is going to see a therapist every week from how unhappy she is with her life, instead of talking about that to her and trying to make their marriage better, he chose not to tell her anything because he thinks the therapy is enough, he didn't even feel sorry for her because after therapy she's always cooking good meals and is in mood for s*x so it works for him. Every time he ruined something she made he gets rewarded in the end of the episode, and she and their kids always forgive him. He literally doesn't even care about Maggie, always makes Lisa's life harder, and HE LITERALLY CHOKES BART AND PEOPLE SEE THAT AS FUNNY AND NO ONE EVER CALLED IT OUT! Bart literally has trauma from that, it was established in the show and the movie. You know who is hated in that show? Lisa. Lisa, who is one of the sweetest characters and one of my favourite characters I relate so much to, is hated because of her religion, Homer is loved for being a jerk.

Richard Waterson is so bad my own grandma hated him! He does literally nothing around the house and kids, Nicole has to work and take care of three freakin children AND the household but he can get away with everything and people even see him as a good guy who "tries his best" because he spends all day in bed eating junk food.

Peter Griffin and Quagmire from Family Guy are also horrible characters. Peter is a bad father who hates his daughter and Quagmire is a LITERAL r*pist and people not only love Peter but also laugh at Quagmire's r*pe jokes and scenes where they hinted that he r*ped someone.

Patrick Star from Spongebob Squarepants is so bad that I was a kid and I already hated him. He's treating Spongebob like cr*p and uses him and Spongebob always has to apologise cuz HOW DARE HE BE MAD AT HIS BEST FRIEND WHO'S ALSO THE WORST FRIEND YOU COULD EVER HAVE and Patrick is so popular he even got a spin-off show.

Aaron Samuels from Mean Girls was the biggest hypocrite ever and no one hates him, everyone hates the main female character who was also a hypocrite but you know how it goes - she learned her lesson, she became a better person, and he got rewarded even though he's still a jerk and he doesn't even realize he's a jerk.

I already wrote about My Best Friend's Wedding and Made of Honor being two movies with the same plot but MBFW has a female lead and MoH has male lead and the female lead also suffered the consequences and learned her lesson and she lost and EVERYONE EVERYWHERE hates her, you won't see anyone on the Internet who loves her, but no one hates him who won by doing something terrible, never learned his lesson and never faced the consequences. She can't be with a guy she loves but he can be with a girl he loves and she is terrible he's not, he's a hero.

In that movie Emma the main character who's wonderful ended up with a guy who was is always criticising her and yelling at her and I don't see people complaining about that.

Gumball in The Amazing World Of Gumball is a really bad kid. He's selfish and mean for no reason and no one hates him and he doesn't get character development but you know what? I'm glad no one hates him cuz he's just a kid - and so is Marinette. Gumball is actually the most accurate representation of a kid his age. But he doesn't receive criticism for stuff Marinette receives criticism all the time, even when doing something bad wasn't in her intentions. I would rather want them to criticise his father Richard if they have to criticise someone but no way they'll get criticism cuz they are male characters.

Maxim Lavrov from The Kitchen is literally THE WORST main character I've ever seen in my life and I watched so much stuff. He is constantly stalking Victoria, his on-off girlfriend, literally 70% of times they had s*x that was because he literally forced her to do it even when she told him to let her go and that is seen as hot but actually that's r*pe, he stole her documents so she can't travel with other guy when they broke up, he poked holes on her tires to prevent her from leaving with someone else, he stole her medical records in hospital when she was pregnant to see if the baby was his, he spread rumours that she is dating their boss who's married and that she would date anyone who can buy her stuff, he fought his rival out of jealousy, he cheated on her twice with the same woman, he didn't want to do anything around their apartment and she had to everything herself when they got married, he didn't like her for being "too perfect", he dated the girl he cheated with the first time he broke up with Victoria and when karma did it's work and he got cheated on he pursued Victoria immediately as if he would actually date her again if he didn't break up with this girl and when Victoria didn't want to date him he blamed her for their relationship failing and he called her a gold digger, he always grabbed her by her hand forcefully and he was really rough with her when she didn't want to talk even when she was pregnant, he followed her everywhere ALL THE TIME and spied on her. I think only my mom and I can't stand him. Everyone else loves him on the fan page and everyone who's seen the show. They love him. The only consequence he suffered was when she broke up with him both times when he cheated but even in the end of the show they didn't get together but they were in good terms and they worked at the same place and he was allowed to take care of their daughter with her and he got a promotion too. Without even trying.

Shrek literally signed a contract to get rid of his family and I feel like I'm the only one who hated him in that movie, no one complains about that character downgrade cuz like how tf do you disown everyone you love and still get a reward in the end?!

Raymond, Robert and Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond are treating their wives horribly, no one said anything about them. They are all horrible, you don't know which one is worse. In fact, ELR makes abuse Debra, Raymond's wife, has to suffer from his family funny.

Fallon and Adam from Dynasty - Fallon always works on being a better person even when she breaks a vase while Adam kills people and all is forgiven

I'm sure there are a lot more other examples and these are just a few, but female characters ALWAYS suffer the consequences in stuff I watched. I don't remember ever seeing a female character cheating her partner and getting away with it, a male character is always forgiven for cheating after the female character is really hurt, she always forgives him and they are a happy couple. And don't tell me about rom com jerks who get the girl every time for treating her terribly. Also women in rom coms are shallow if they choose a hot tall bf but male characters can choose women who look like literal supermodels and that's totally not shallow. I just hate these stereotypes. "If male character did it they would get cancelled" I literally grew up watching male characters who never changed and those toxic ones ended up as a pop culture icons. It's a rare case when a male character's behaviour is called out.

Bish I literally had to watch people draw Chat Noir punching Ladybug and people saying he should do it in the comments and him getting praised when he yelled at her and that's totally fair from our fandom? That's not gender equality, that's misogyny.

My Fandom Journey: Anime

I thought I'd make a little series talking about my various fandoms and my journey in them. I'm starting with a broader topic of anime, getting into more specific titles at a later post. I'll do a manga one next but my initial introduction into Japanese media was anime so I'll start here. This is gonna be a long rambly post btw.

When I was in the Philippines at a young age (I wanna say around 5 or 6 years old), me and my siblings started watching Digimon Adventures first, we literally watched all the episodes up until Digimon Tamers. We did watch western cartoons as well, we were lucky enough to have Sky so we had Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. One of the reasons I think I liked anime was because it wasn't as overly stylized as cartoons, human designs and characterizations weren't overly exaggerated like in Hey Arnold or Rugrats for example, not to say I didn't enjoy those cartoons because I totally did up to a certain age. Also because anime tended to have overarching storylines and arcs for the most part, compared to the episodic nature of early western cartoons, I found myself focusing more on the story and wanting to watch every episode. Honestly I remember being glued to the screen while watching Digimon and always made sure I watched every episode and if I missed one then I'd catch the re-run that they aired on the weekend (I remembered the exact airing schedule of this damn series when I was a child). Whereas when I missed an episode of Spongebob Squarepants or Courage the Cowardly Dog I'd be fine about it.

Most animes that were aimed at kids were licensed and aired on local channels like GMA and ABS-CBN and were majority dubbed in tagalog but there were a few channels that aired anime in english dub so that's how I watched anime most of the time. I am glad though that they kept the original Japanese openings and ending songs for the Tagalog dub. (I loved Hunter X Hunter's Ohayou Opening, it was seriously the best)

Majority of the imported anime to the Philippines were mostly shonen (as far as I was aware anyway) so the other animes we watched after school were Slamdunk, Medabots, Yu-gi-oh, Beyblade, Hunter X Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Flame of Recca and a few episodes of Rave Master and Case Closed/Detective Conan. Surprisingly we weren't that into Pokemon but we did watch majority of the early seasons (Can't remember which ones, but Brock and Misty were the entourage). I think we watched Zoids too but only a few epsiodes.

When we got a bit older but still children (I was around 9-11) we started watching animes that would be considered seinen such as Rurouni Kenshin, GetBackers, Saiyuki, Cowboy Bebop, Galaxy Angels, Ranma 1/2, and a mecha anime that for the life of me I cannot remember the title of (It might've been part of the Brave franchise??). I also occasionally watched You're Under Arrest and Lupin III. Anyway most of these were obviously more censored than the manga or original Japanese version but they were still definitely innapropriate for my age range. I still don't understand how we got away with watching Rurouni Kenshin as kids it was aired on a sky channel that wasn't aimed at kids so the violence wasn't that censored, I think it was the first subbed anime that I watched

There are also animes that I didn't really watch but I was aware of like Naruto, Dragon Ball (Sorry to the fans I never quite got into these two series), Outlaw Star, Ah My Goddess, Inuyasha, Baki the Grappler, Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Side note there's also another anime that I can't remember the name of but I've been looking for it forever, It's an old sci-fi spaceship anime about a man going through a mid-life crisis and becomes isekai'd(?) into this spaceship where he plays the electric guitar to power the ship and fight. Does anyone know this anime???

After moving to New Zealand when I was 11 I got exposed to different genres outside the usual Shonen and Seinen I grew up on. My first shoujo anime was Ouran High School Host Club followed by Fruits Basket, which while they're not my favorites, they hold a special place in my heart. I do remember watching animes early morning on Sunday, I would wake up at like 6am to watch Megaman, Digimon Frontier and Tokyo Mew Mew (yeah... 4kids ver). After school they aired Yu-gi-oh GX, Shaman King,

How I watched Anime also changed from just seeing what was on TV, the internet was becoming more accessible in our family (we had dial-up at first) and there were also video rental stores as well as the usual ripped DVDs that we got from friends. There wasn't a lot of choices in rental stores but they always had a decent selection of anime films and that's how I got into Ghibli films, also I think I watched the Ghost in the Shell film and 10 Centimeters per Second. At this time I watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ao Hana, Hell Girl, xxxHolic, Mushishi, Death Note (early episodes), and Bleach (only until the end of Soul Soiety arc). You can kind of see from my selection here that I had a phase of mystery, supernatural anime.

I can't quite remember at around what point I transitioned to being manga only but once I came across the original source material of my favorite anime I stopped watching anime for the most part. There are notable exceptions, such as anime-only series like Psycho-pass and K, music related series like K-On! (I really wanted to hear the songs). Nowadays I'll read a manga or light novel (if translated) first then decide if it's worth it to watch the anime. I did that with Kuroko no Basket and Haikyuu! but I haven't done it recently. Basically if the anime has a manga as it's original source I'll choose that but if it's an original anime or a game-based, light novel based anime then I'll watch it.

This has been a loooong post. I'll do another one on my manga journey maybe tomorrow. This series essentially is just so I can word vomit about my fandoms because a lot of my friends don't share as many fandoms with me. If you've read until here then thanks for listening to me ramble.

a few of my mutuals are talking about ctcd right now so i Must drop this here. you know how most people have that One courage episode that scared the hell out of them as a kid? most people say "king ramses’ curse” or “the house of discontent” but genuinely (and i mean this in the most Serious Way Possible) the courage episode that terrified me was “evil weevil” but as a 4-5 yr old i thought it was a fly and my child brain thought a real tiny housefly could suck my whole life force and juices out. i remember in pre-k a fly landed on the table i was sitting at and my eyes were fucking GLUED to it as i watched it touch the table with its proboscis. and yes i did have a major freakout when one touched me. i remember trying to tell my mom & teacher that a fly was gonna get me and they were like “lol ok”. don’t know why these memories are so vivid.

#btw this was way before i saw spongebob's wormy episode and this is Not why i'm currently scared of flies #and i never saw king ramses as a kid. house of discontent made me uncomfortable but it never 'terrified' me #AND THE THING IS. NO ONE TALKS ABOUT EVIL WEEVIL THAT'S WHAT'S SO FUNNY #genuinely took me 10 minutes to find what that episode was even called #personal #but courage honestly one of the best shows ever no joke. but i was 'the cartoon network kid' so #courage and chowder. top tier.

Hitoshi had already been listening in before, but not paying too much mind to it

But now that his name was in the mix? He was all ears.

"I'll take Shinso!"

You said it with little to know hesitation, and it sent him into a different kind of frenzy he couldn't even describe

He's never gotten butterflies so bad until now

His face was every shade of red at once, and his eyes were widened as he looked at you

Usually Hitoshi would act as if he didn't care, but he hadn't even realized he was looking at you until you flashed a smile at him

He gulped down the lump in his throat and turned away from you

Of course... Hitoshi is usually smooth and chill so you were very confused

"You okay 'Toshi?"

You had your arms around his neck and your chest pressed to his back, and it definitely made it harder for him to calm down😭

He always had a crush on you

Just a "small" one a big one

It was always something he brushed off because 1. He didn't think you'd like him back and 2. He convinced himself he didn't come here for any kind of relationship

But, that crush kept growing and growing, and it's something that irritatingly loomed over him constantly, and my his heart flutter when you were around

But know??? Hitoshi might've fallen in love with you

He told you he was fine, despite being red enough to put Kirishima's hair to complete shame

You ended up staying next to him on the couch till it was time to go to bed, and the whole time he was just praying you couldn't hear him subtly trying to take deep breaths

SERO.

He was actually participating in the game of truth or dare Mina started

It was the Bakusquad game night anyways, and he didn't wanna be a party pooper since Bakugo had already fallen asleep

Not relevant, but Denki did draw on his face as a dare

When Mina asked you the question, his interest was definitely peaked

"Depends on which one of the boys we're talking about, if it's Bakugo I'd take the money."

Everyone stifled a laugh to keep Bakugo from waking up

"Umm... Sero! Between the money and Sero."

He was surprised to hear his name, but he was even more surprised when you gave your answer with no hesitation

"Well obviously I'd take Hanta!"

You basically flung yourself onto him as you said it

Hanta started blushing instantaneously, but did pull you closer after the initial shock

"I'd choose you too, amor."

Hantas face was dusted red for the rest of the night, and he acted like he brushed it off but it was definitely at the back of his head for a good ass minute

TAMAKI.

Amajiki was sitting out of the game you, Nejire, and Mirio were having

Sitting quietly as you all did your dares and said your truths

But once Nejire threw a question involving a guy in, his ears were more perked than usual

"Hmmm... well money is nice... but it depends on which guy too."

"Hmm Tamaki!"

Amajiki gulped just barely audibly, and instantly broke out into a cold sweat

He's liked you for awhile, but he wasn't hopeful in your feelings towards him

So of course, he expected you to choose the money

But he was pleasantly surprised by your answer

"I'd take Ama'!"

You looked at him and flashed a bright smile

Something in him malfunctioned and he let out some kind of conflicted noise before his face went cherry red all the way to the pointed tips of his ears

He covered his face with his hands and turned away from you, but it was hard to ignore you when you were right next to him

Nejire and Mirio laughed and teased him, while you rested a hand on his back to calm him down

He was flustered beyond comprehension for the rest of the night, especially with the wa you were always around him to see if he was okay (he was so red, you started to think that boy was sick)

But he absolutely did not mind you being around... his mind was just a little busted up from earlier

But eventually, you did fall asleep on his shoulder, and you'd think he malfunction all over again, but there was something so peaceful about seeing you all relaxed, especially relaxed enough to fall asleep around him

Amajiki basically melted right there, and even fell asleep awhile after

But you best believe he freaked out the next morning when it hit him that you fell asleep on each other!!

BAKUGO.

Katsuki was sitting frustrated on Minas bed as the rest of you sat on the floor and on bean bags

He wanted to be in bed by now, but it was Bakusquad game night

Normally, he would've gone to sleep anyways, and he did till you came busting in through his door, dragging him out of bed

And he really couldn't say no to you either

Hes liked you for a little while now, and you had this hold on him that he both hated and loved

Katsuki wasn't really invested in the conversation or game, but once guys came into the question he couldn't help but at least listen

"Alright Y/n, between all the money I've got on me right now and a boy, which would you choose?"

"A boy? Which boy?"

"Hmmm... Bakugo!"

He was surprised to hear his name, and it actually made him kind of nervous

His palms started sweating and he wiped them on his joggers to keep them from triggering and explosion

"I'd take Katsu!"

Katsuki really didn't know if it was the fact that you chose him or the nickname that hit him harder

Either way, there were no complaints

But you weren't allowed to know that, so when you latched onto him, he shrugged you off

"Get the hell off me dumbass"

But you just continued latching onto his arm

He scoffed at you as usual, but none of you missed that lil smile on his face

But you value your lives so you said nothing

Bash Buggy would put the entire popsicle in his mouth, bite down and try to pull the popsicle stick out. Usually it works and he would start freaking out because its too cold, he would then try to chew it really fast and swallow it. Just resulting in his mouth being even colder.

He does this every single time despite it usually being an unpleasant experience.

Same here. I was hesitant to draw it at first but eventually gave in. I’m so glad I did XD.

Well, its going better than last time at least. Although people have stopped voting..

Two characters have made it to 5 votes, and most others stand at 3 or 4 votes. I think those are as many votes I’m going to get unfortunately so I’m just going to have to work with what I have.. votes are still open though! :}

I am self taught, and have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Some of my oldest memories are drawing related. So about 10+ years or so? I know, its a little embarrassing that I’ve only come so far in 10 years. Although I suppose for most of those years I was very young and didn’t know what I was doing sooo...

Anyway, I got some helpful tips from a very talented relative and went to a class that taught me stuff I had already taught myself, but that’s about it. Everything else was stuff I learned myself. :}

No I haven’t heard of him, but now I have and I’m addicted XD

I have 17 Decepticon OCs so far and 1 Autobot that have yet to be drawn.

I haven’t drawn any of the Cons character reference sheets yet, but I hope to someday. The closest I got to drawing a proper picture of one of them was this drawing with Big Blue.

You mean these guys? Man.. its been a hot minute since I’ve thought about them.

Well, hmm.. I’m not sure what I can talk about.. Maybe I can refresh you on the general story?

Okay so, the two kids Nokah and Aneal lived on a little island together with their mom and dad. Sometime when they were very little, their mom passed away from some kind of illness. Later on, their dad was killed in a raid where slave traders came in and took all the villagers they could and killed those that stood in their way. Their dad being one of them.

They stuck together thankfully and were brought from place to place until they were eventually sold and were on a ship that was going to take them to their new owners.

While they were sailing, a pirate ship showed up and began to raid the slave ship.

Captain Arthur, the red parrot guy, found these two kids below deck and rescued them. The kids were fed, cleaned and clothed. After they settled, they told the prates their story. The pirates discussed the situation and decided that they cant just keep the kids, they have to bring them to their own kind where they can have a long and prosperous life. Because the life of a pirate is no life for a child.

So off they go, to an island pretty darn far away to take these kids to an orphanage that is populated with with species similar to theirs.

By the time they got there, the kids and the crew got attached to each other. But Arthur pushed on, wanted to do what was best for the children. This part of the story is foggy, but something broke the camels back for Arthur. He couldn’t bare to part with the kids for one reason or another and brought them back to his ship, officially making them pirates and valued crew members.

There’s more to the other characters that I have built.. Like how Arthurs ship belonged to his mother and he grew up on it. Him moms ship is one of 3 very beautiful and rare ships that were way past their time when it came to architecture and technology.

After his mother died, his ship was stolen and sold away to some hawk guy or something. Solomon, the blue parrot, was one of his employees and was put in charge of the ship. Arthur started working for the hawk guy and was eventually promoted to one of the cleaning crew guys who was supposed to clean his moms ship. No one knew the ship rightfully belonged to Arthur.

He gained Solomon's trust and kissed the ground he walked on to make him let his guard down. Solomon wasn’t supposed to leave the ship under anyone else’s watch, but he did. He was lazy and told Arthur to watch the ship for that night. Arthur could be trusted with the ship couldn’t he? Of course he can be trusted. What’s the worst that could happen?

The next day Arthur and his mothers ship were gone without a trace. Solomon’s reputation was ruined and he got a real harsh talking to about how stupid it was of him to let the ship fall in someone else’s hands.

Don’t feel bad for Solomon, he’s a really nasty and narcissistic character, he deserved that. Anyway, Arthur got away with his mother’s ship finally and chose to become a pirate to protect it. He slowly built a crew of people that he considered family and has been sailing the world ever since.

Him and his crew are always on the move, his ship is very desired so its raided very often. And Arthur is pretty sure that Solomon is still out there somewhere.. looking for him. So because of these factors, Arthur ever doesn’t leave his ship. Despite how bad that is physically and mentally for a bird.

His crew will go to an uninhabited island and just take a break for a few days on the beach. But Arthur?.. I mean, he might fly around for a bit or go for a walk on the sand, but ultimately he’ll just stay on deck where he can monitor his ship.

There’s other things too, like how Solomon catches up to them with a small fleet of ships and stuff like that.. buuuut I feel like I’m rambling a bit too much..

I’m very glad you remembered my OCs and were interested enough to ask about them. Feel free to ask any more questions about them if there’s anything else you want to know! ♡മ◡മ♡

I know drawing machinery and drawing it consistently can be very hard. I suppose you just need to have a reference on hand and try your best to mimic it.

I have heard of the movie and how great it is, but I have not seen it yet. :/ I plan to though! It looks very pretty. :}

Well, a long time ago sometime after the show had been completed, I stumbled into the fandom. I ended up really liking Ford as a character to the point I was convinced to watch the show. And of course, I got addicted XD

When it comes to my favorite episodes? Hmm.. I really like Carpet Diem, and Headhunters. Although I’m sure there are more that I like. :}

I considered watching other adaptions once I was finished with Prime, but none of the art styles quite appeal to me..

Yesterday I was feeling… very sad but I had that random idea to binge watch all Plankton-centric episodes of SpongeBob because yolo I have nothing to lose anyway, and it, made me feel alive??? I might have never realized how much I love this evil copepod gshfhsdg

Honestly this had such powerful therapeutic value, more than anything I did this year, gotta continue today since I’ve only seen like 7 episodes so far xdd best idea 👌

(And btw the Sponge on the Run movie has beautiful visuals - imo it's the Spider-verse level of creativity with the medium, amazing - but unfortunately plot-wise it is not very SpongeBob-like. Well except the El Diablo segment maybe xD)

7) What season should Supernatural have ended at? Or was s15 the right place to end? Again, dissertation required :)

i think s15 was a good place to end it, but it depends on the day. a lot of the time i say season 8, because it would have bee beautiful. finally! they closed the gates of hell! sam is in heaven, they show that he is in heaven, so we know. dean is sad, but he’s living and he is LETTING SAM DIE! i think it would have been good. HOWEVER!!! then there would be no jack. so i think if we include jack (which we have to) s15 was the beat time to end it. there would have been no way for a satisfying conclusion in 13 or 14. i just think that s15 should have been better. the idea of them fighting god? the actual implications of them breaking free from the writers to be truly in their own control? i love that! i just wish they had stuck with what they were going for in the first few episodes. the bullet wound plot. literally all of their past hunts coming back. that was INTERESTING!!! literally why did they end it after three episodes!

9) What episodes best encapsulates the brother’s relationship? Does this change throughout the series? Doesn’t have to be the best episode btw.

HOUSES OF THE HOLY HOUSES OF THE HOLY HOUSES OF THE HOLY!!! houses of the holy encapsulates their WHOLE relationship for the ENTIRE show. sam being the one who holds faith. dean being kind of a dick about it. dean being SO RELUCTANT to accept that there is good in the world. sam turning to a quiet hope that there could be a reason in order to get through all of that. dean believing that as long as he’s there sam shouldn’t be scared, because he’s all that sam needs, and sam not feeling that way! dean not believing in any of it but trying so hard for sams sake. it’s the whole show in an episode. also they used a spongebob placemat as an alter cloth which i think just describes the whole show.

17) What’s an aspect of SPN people often point to as a flaw that you really enjoy?

dropped plotlines, because you know that if they kept those plotlines going they would have fucked it up SO BAD. at least when we do it we’ll do it right.

3. Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?

I’d have to say either Chris Tomlin or Passion. I really got into Christian music this year and it helped me through some of the tougher moments.

4. Movie of the year?

I basically watched one non-musical movie all year and it was Demolition Man in April. But if I had to pick any “film” that hit me, it’d be the Hamifilm. I’d watched the bootleg a few times before that but seeing it in full HD was glorious.

BTW: WERE THIS YEAR NOT A SHIT SHOW, I CAN GUARENTEE “IN THE HEIGHTS” WOULD BE MY ANSWER HERE! (grumblegrumble2020bullfuckerygrumble)

5. TV show of the year?

Does Smackdown count? LOL! If Smackdown doesn’t count, then I’d have to say Xena. Yes, it’s a really old show, but I’ve been having a hell of a Xena resurgence this year, so that’s my pick.

7. Favorite actor of the year?

Considering his recent stints on NCIS. I am fighting every fiber of my being to NOT put Shane O Mac as my answer here, so outside of him and any other wrestlers I’d have to go with Ethan Slater. The SpongeBob Musical Proshot hit in late 2019 and I rode that high into 2020, with Ethan still being one of my biggest guys right now. Plus, “Life is Weird” hit this year which I absolutely ADORE. Spotify WINS! Oh, and my mom bought me TSBM DVD for Christmas. So that’s pretty cool too,

9. Best month for you this year?

December, by far. We’ve only got a few days left and nothing catastrophic has happened to me thus far. Brodie’s death was horrible, but it’s 2020 and there’s no such thing as a perfect month. But with my getting my Christmas Club payout last month, on top of a big helping of extra money from food stamps and LIHEAP, I had a ton of money for Christmas Presents this year, including a good many for myself! (See the most recent Action Figure Update.) Sure, the slow post office has been annoying, but it’s been an awesome holiday season this year and I’m excited to see what 2021 has to offer.

12. Talk about a new friend you made this year

There’s this one totally sweet lady I met on Tumblr who I nicknamed Zaynee. She’s just the best. She’s kind, thoughtful, funny, positively awesome to chat with, and she introduced me to this whole new ship called Zowens which, prior to this year I wasn’t really that big on, but BOY OH BOY DID THAT EXPLODE! I mean, true, we did become mutuals LAST year (12/27/2019 Happy Anniversary, Darling) but this year she became the best friend I could ever hope for. Every day when I log on to tumblr, I rush to see if she posted anything new and, if she did, I eagerly eat it up. Yummy yummy Zaynee content. And, on the nights when I’m having episodes, I love to search through her blog for happy posts and zowens stuff that always manages to cheer me up. Holy fuckbeans I just love her so much. Bestest Tumblr Friend EVER.

And... possibly a bit self-indulgent, who else did you think I was going to put here, sweetie???

13. How was your birthday this year?

Ok, since this is getting long, I’ll try to make this short.

Last Christmas, my mother (although she’s never admitted this was her intention) decided to teach me a lesson about why we don’t demand gifts. For years I had gotten bitchy and pushy about how “You never get me what I ask for for Christmas” and last year, I actually gave her a physical list – which she made a point of not getting a single thing from. She’s never said why she did it, but the disappointment I had on Christmas day when I got nothing I wanted, in contrast with the JOY my parents displayed over my mostly-dollar-tree gifts went a LONG way for teaching me the spirit of giving.

Perhaps this is why, for Christmas this year, I just dropped casual hints while splurging greatly in my own gift giving. Christmas was very nice this year and, when I didn’t DEMAND stuff, I found I got just what I wanted.

However, this was about my birthday.

My birthday is June 10th. Because I got NOTHING I wanted for Christmas, and one of the big things I wanted was a new computer, my mom told me she’d try to get it for me for my birthday instead.

Well, on June 2nd of this year, there was a storm. A bigun. And in the storm, the power surged not once, not twice, but THREE times.

If I had to guess what happened, the first time shorted out my surge protector. The second one knocked out my electronics while the third positively FRIED them.

When the power came back on, my monitor and my printer were completely bricked, while my computer was on the fritz and TWO of my external hard drives were not responding.

I was crushed. All that hardware fried in 6 seconds.

My mother, bless her, over the course of June, took a large sum of money from her personal savings and replaced my entire set up by herself. New PC, New Monitor, New Printer, New 10TB HD, ALL OF IT. The only thing I was responsible for was the new surge protector (which I did NOT skimp on!)

So, as fate would have it, both my Christmas and Birthdays this year were pretty swell.

And that was not remotely short. Dammit.

i watched all 20 episodes of spy kids: mission critical in about a week and here are my thoughts (3/5)

i havent watched this in like 2 days i dont even remember what happened last time

"Happy trails!" It took me a bit longer than I would've liked, but I finally finished my tribute to Stephen Hillenburg. There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said, and even then there aren't enough words that can fully describe just how much these characters and this world he created mean to me on a personal level.

It's still pretty surreal to think that he's gone, and there's a small part of me that's expecting it to somehow not be true. When I first heard about the ALS diagnosis last year, I was optimistic that he'd at least somehow live long enough to see the third movie, and maybe even see the show itself get its final, proper send-off. I'm not alone in saying that I grew up with this show. SpongeBob has kinda just... always been there for as long I can remember. It premiered just a few weeks before my second birthday, and one of my earliest memories was a scene from the show (although for the life of me I don't remember which episode it was. If I had to guess maaaaaybe it was Wet Painters?). My childhood got pretty wild at times between bullying and constant family problems, but no matter how bad things got SpongeBob was always there to cheer me up without fail. Seeing what crazy antics SpongeBob and his friends were getting up to that day helped give me the escape I needed and always left me feeling better. As a kid, I looked at SpongeBob as a sort of role model and always tried to be as optimistic as him. It didn't always work, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

I attribute my love for cartoons/animation somewhat to this show, and I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't be the person I am today without SpongeBob. Throughout the years my interests and fandoms have constantly shifted, but SpongeBob is the one thing that's always managed to stick around no matter what (Even after that time I went through the "hating SpongeBob is cool" phase). Whatever comes next, Stephen's unique humor, unforgettable characters and the love and passion he put into his work will continue to live on and inspire and entertain children and adults alike for generations to come. I'll forever be grateful to Stephen Hillenburg for showing me that growing up doesn't mean you have to grow up, that any day can be the best day ever, to never give up in the face of failure, and to always follow your passions no matter what others may think. I wish I could've gotten a chance to say something like this in person but now's a good a time as ever I suppose: Thank you, Stephen, for making the world a little brighter. Thank you for all the laughter and fun over the years. Thank you for giving me my childhood. Rest in peace, captain. This kitchen won't be the same without you. "He's on the other side now."
