This astounds me because imagine her leveling with sponfebob like this. Recognizing that he understand what she’s saying. He is an adult sponge and she knows this. #i just finished watching the atla live action #as an avatar fan #I thought it was a wonderful adaptation! #the original is still the best #but this live action was still great #(esp when compared to that... OTHER live action) #i only had two real complaints #1. i didn't like how Bumi's intro was handled #it would've been way better if they stuck to revealing him as Aang's friend AFTER the fight tbh #like they did in the original #they didn't take advantage of the foreshadowing #instead he was just kinda like “yep i'm your childhood friend Bumi btw you're an asshole” right off the bat #2. it was too short 😭 #c'mon i binged that shit in two days #even though they were ~1hr long #8 episodes wasn't enough #bonus mini complaint: I needed more Momo and Appa #but all in all #i was very impressed with how much ground they were still able to cover in such a condensed format #the casting was A+++ #the references were done very tastefully #the things they did change didn't detract from the show at all #and in some ways added to it #it made me just as emotional as the original #anyways... eagerly waiting for season 2 #(it's happening... right??) #def excited to see my girl Toph #tragic clowning #avatar the last airbender #atla live action

"squidward doesn't like hearing spongebob cry" is something that i don't think is ever explicitly said in the show but i feel like it's one of those things where once it's pointed out to you you can't miss it. i feel like it's probably called back to repeatedly because of pizza delivery, not only because the climax of the episode is so iconic but because as the first episode centered around squidward and spongebob interacting it serves as a kind of blueprint for their relationship.

Novella: between 17,500 and 40,000

Novel: over 40,000

Fics over 40k are literally a novel written and shared for free.  If you have written a 40k+ fic, you have literally written a novel.
