boards season is over and there's going to be a mass burnout because all of us spent the last two months on minimal sleep, oversaturated on coffee

so here's a few reminders:

you did good. stop worrying about it stop trying to calculate what your percentage might be stop thinking about the dumb mistakes you could've avoided, its okay. you did good.

take a break, even if for a day or two because i know a lot of us have a whole lot of entrance tests coming up. but our brains and bodies have been on overdrive so take a break, you deserve it

rejuvenate. try slowly bringing yourself back into a normal schedule. work on fixing your sleep schedule, work on eating better. there's a long road ahead of us, you want to have a healthy sustainable routine to make it through this.

explore. it is not too late to change your path, i promise. this is the last chance you get to change your mind, don't waste it. explore your options now that you have full knowledge about your strengths and limits, there is so much more out there than we've been told. there are so many options i guarantee you will find your perfect fit, don't compromise on your future by just going along with the crowd, find what you want to do and work for it.

So my arms and shoulder still hurt and I'm still off work but I'm just trying to live one day at a time and hope it'll be better soon.

Also, I just died a thousand deaths watching The Last of Us Ep. 8 (because WHAT THE ???? SERIOUSLY) and about to watch the season finale.

If I'll be able to game again in the future once my arms are healed, I'll think about playing the games completely, even though I'm a coward.

Working on a post with the premise that grunge rocker Eddie Munson and boyband superstar Steve Harrington are presenting an award together at the 1993 VMAs. It's taking forever to write, though, so here's a little teaser:

Steve keeps his focus on the band in front of him, but Eddie very much does not, eyes on Steve long before he speaks. 

“Bet it kills you, being here. Knowing you’ll never have another hit.” 

“C’mon, Munson, lay off,” Steve takes a few steps to the side, putting distance between them. The Stone Temple Pilots are still doing their speech, the words filtering through his ears like water.

“Nah, c’mon, you’ve had to realize it by now. One hit album, one song and you're already washed up.” 

His jaw clenches, but he refuses to take the bait. He’s not arguing with Munson here, now. None of it matters, anyway.

“You wrote that song, sold out immediately,” Eddie whispers. “And look where it got you.”

“Fuck you,” Steve snarls, unable to take this without comment. 

The band are waving their Moon Man statuettes at the crowd, obviously ready to head backstage.

Steve moves to join the winners, but a hand lands, hard, on his shoulder, doesn’t budge when he tries to wrench free. “Don’t worry, buddy,” Eddie says. A leering smile stretching his face. “I’m sure you’ll write something just as good soon.”

Something inside him snaps, years of boiling resentment and heartache crash to the surface in the space of the time it takes Scott Weiland to turn from the podium. 

“I’m sure I will too. Shitty songs like that are a dime a dozen,” he hisses. 

Munson startles back, eyes going wide, like he honestly hadn’t expected Steve to react. 

Satisfied and only a little heartsore, Steve moves to join the band as they near the curtains. 

He gets maybe three steps before something slams into his back and he goes flying to the floor, no time to catch himself. The sound from the audience is cacophonous until he smashes to the stage floor, breath crushed out of his lungs. Everything gets fuzzy then—the voices and yelling, the hands on him, manhandling him onto his back. 

A weight settles around his chest, the heaviness of a body, of Eddie Munson with his knees bracketing Steve’s ribcage. Angry fists grab at the lapels of his suit jacket, jerking him to a half-upright position, to where he can see Eddie’s face—contorted with fury, brown eyes liquid with hurt. 

“You’re a piece of shit, Harrington. You hear me? A cowardly, opportunistic, douche bag. But don’t you ever, ever act like that song didn’t mean anything.” 

Security is there then, a large man with an intimidating mustache bodily picking Eddie up off of Steve. Someone else helps him up; his manager, Robin, running from the wings to his side. 

For the rest of the night--through all the chaos and reporters demanding to know why Eddie Munson attacked Steve Harrington on stage--all he can think of is those eyes, so wide and so dark and so filled with heartbreak still, after all this time.

Daemon and Nettles Headcanons. (Relationship canon)

1. He started washing her hair as a way to calm her after their flights, the baths progressed from there.

2. He realised that she would cry during the first week after seeing what Aemond had done and requested the adjoining rooms after.

3. They would trade stories over meals.

4. They started with lavish meals that Nettles couldn't stomach in Maidenpool, so he started requesting simple meals.

5. He had to encourage her to spend time with him at first. She would just stay in her room until he started pushing for her company, by the end they were inseparable.

6. He accompanied her to all the fitings for the clothes she got when he taught her how to dress, much to the confusion of the seamstress.

7. Lord Mooton did try to bring up potential marriages for Nettles, Daemon got defensive and insulted every man while Nettles compared his every insult to something he had mentioned he had done. Example: 'Dalton Greyjoy has 22 salt wives and no need for a dragonrider in his company.' 'Some men have two dragonriders for wives, one after the other without questions.'

8. Lord Mooton had Maester Norren ask Nettles if she had use for moon tea. When she kept insisting for a reason for the suggestion, he dropped it entirely and said she took it without hesitation.

9. She has a fondness for Lady Rhea from his stories and never allows for Daemon to bad mouth her.

10. He was teaching her everything about politics that he knew for when they had to return,so if something happened, she wouldn't depend on anyone to navigate King’s Landing.

11. She doesn't feel entitled to Sheepstealer, so she gives him a sheep for his obedience every day. He thinks it's absolutely ridiculous belief.

12. They argued about the possibility of her being a dragonrider but not a Targaryen. She did it to mess with him, but it's an underlying thought she has.

13. Lord Mooton ensured that she saw Jonquil's pool, much to Daemon's hesitation.

14. Lord Mooton tried to get Nettles a Septa, Daemon was hesitant, but after three lessons, the Septa had enough and left her alone.

15. Nettles tends to hum songs from Driftmark she picked up, and although he doesn't like the trait, it does remind him of Laena, Baela, and Rhaena.

16. She told Daemon the way she got the scar, he just didn't believe her because she had given him so many different stories before.

17. Sheepstealer and Caraxes became close before they did, Caraxes would seek Sheepstealer out in King's Landing.

18. It was a coincidence that they both ended up at Maidenpool. He volunteered, Rhaenyra said he needed someone, and she suggested Nettles after seeing her reaction after the Gullet and how it continued in King's Landing.

19. All the clothes he has made for her has some variation of the Targaryen sigil in brown leather or red.

20.He started teaching her how to do things properly as a way to reinforce the sentiment that she'd make it out and have use for it

21. The maids started gossiping because they would both have wet hair, changed clothes, and looked clean after they would draw one bath.

22. The meals started as a way to ensure she'd eat before and after their flights because during their first week they rarely would.

23. He was shocked to find she knew some variations of Valyrian being from Driftmark but by the end of their stay she was almost fluent.

24. They never had sexual relations in her room

25. She wasn't a virgin when they did have sex. He didn't think she was but was still surprised.

26. The clothes issue was only pushed because she started wearing his shirts to kill sheep.

27. He kissed her first but she was the one who initiated the sexual relationship.

28. All of the gifts she got came by making small jokes about minor inconveniences and him taking it seriously

29. Caraxes loves her, but Sheepstealer is hesitant towards Daemon.

30. She isn't very respectful past his titles. He doesn't go out of his way to correct her or assert authority.

31. Anytime he'd complain about her hair being wild, she'd have him style it in an acceptable way that she'd copy until she didn't want to.

32. She has a strange hesitation against killing small animals, something he finds strange seeing as she slaughters sheep every morning

33. They had a compromise at one point that if she had to eat fish, he'd have to eat porridge (she doesn't need to eat fish)

34. He'd started joking that she had pulled some sort of spell over him long before the letter. This was because he'd rarely ever say no to her.

35. They helped each other through the grief of the war. That was how they got so close.
