One of my favorite things about SamBucky is that they are truly an enemies to reluctant allies to coworkers to partners to friends to lovers story! It amazes me how much crap they had to go through, both before and after meeting each other, for them to end up in each other's lives. And at the end of the day, this ⬇️

is how we last see them...like, seriously, how am I not supposed to think it's meant to be???

I like imagining the policy changes to Nasa after Mark Watney's extended stay on Mars. Used to have 4 independent communication methods? Make it 8. Send enough food for 3 years now. Send so much duct tape. The rover needs to be able to recover from being rolled. The air locks between the rover, HAB and pop tents should all be interchangeable.

Also potatoes. I fully believe that every manned mission after The Martian will include potatoes, for sentimental reasons. I am equally sure that Mark absolutely hates that fact.

Bucky and Sam both have accents that come out when other people with the same accent are around them. Neither of them understand the other once they get going

Sam used to sing "Down in New Orleans" to the boys when they were little, as if it was a lullaby. He didn't know it was from a Disney movie

They both have a huge sweet tooth and they both deny it

They both like baseball, but they never support the same team. They do have a "so long as the Dodgers lose" rule though

Bucky fell first but Sam says "I love you" first

Bucky counts Sam's breaths to fall asleep

When Bucky's on his knees in front of Sam, which is often, Sam genuinely goes light headed every time Bucky looks up at him (also often)

Sam still runs in the mornings, but Bucky has sometimes swayed him to stay in bed with different cardio. It's not his fault Sam loves it sleepy and lazy

Even a non-refractory period can't help when Bucky can get off the moment Sam touches him. Sam just makes him over sensitive

Their water bill is atrocious because of showers. Sam blames Bucky. Bucky blames Sam. But it takes two

Bucky gets overwhelmed when Sam's laid out in front of him. He has to take a few seconds to breathe, close his eyes even. Sam enjoys this immensely

Sam likes to hold hands when they can. He'll bend his arm all sorts of ways to make it happen

They laugh a lot when they're together ❤️
