Undivided Attention: Captain Price
John Price x AFAB!Reader | TF141 x AFAB!Reader

MDNI!!!
You had been separated from the team, mostly due to you pushing your captain out of the way of another solider attempting to strike him, while wresting with the man the two of you fell off a ledge, last thing you heard was John yelling your name before slamming into the ground and loosing consciousness for a moment. You all had been looking for reports or a nuclear bomb that was in the midst of being sold to Russian terrorists. Coming to, you quickly moved to look around yourself remembering who you had fallen with, seeing them laying by you, you turned them over and they had fallen on their knife, impaling themselves in the throat. Shaking your head you made to get up flinching, "Fuck." Groaning you hobbled around corners, occasionally having to fight for your life, hearing a group making their way down a hall, more than you knew in that moment you could realistically handle, you made to try and hide in any of the rooms around you, but the doors were locked. Huffing you leaned behind a pillar, tears building at your eyes, even though you knew death was a guarantee with this work, your heart wasn't ready, you never got to tell any of the lads how you truly feel, you didn't get to even say good bye. John.
Oh, you know John will rot with this, his mind will never let him forget this, you wished there was something you could do for him, make your death less of a burden, a weight. He never wanted to let you come here, but you insisted, you had been growing restless at the base, promising to stay glued to their side and out of harms way yet you threw yourself right into the way. Grabbing your hand gun you checked the magazine hitting your head back, out, patting yourself down you groaned grabbing your tactical knife from your hip, waiting till they were closer. Getting a hold of the end of a AK47 you turned out knife about to go straight into the guys throat before you froze, it was, "John?"
"Y/N, oh god." Wrapping you tightly into him you wrapped your arms around his waist, trying not to wince at the force of his embrace. "Come on." Picking you up he turn and they started making their way out back to their Ronda Vue point for Nikolai to pick them up. Grunting with each rapid movement and step up some stairs, you looked up to Johnny, he looked so damn sad and worried, made you ache, wanting to comfort him, comfort all of them. Getting to the top of the building, John handed you to Simon before you were set into a seat and strapped in, "Let's go, now!"
---
You were taken to med bay by Simon, Johnny and Kyle, they stuck by your side the whole time as you were stitched up, wrapped up and given tests. Your arm was put into a sling after noticing that you had indeed broken your right clavicle you were brought into a back room to have a plate screwed to the outside of the bone. You were knocked out when the lads say you next, had been for a few hours, they never left you, John was still away, where none of them was sure, most likely holed up in his office burying himself in work and papers.
When you did come to, you reassured the guys, apologizing and hugging each of them, the door closed and locked, blinds drawn close as Simon carefully held you, kissing your head. "Where's Cap?"
"Probably in his office." Kyle said, his hands on your back and hips. Moving to get out of the bed he tightened his grip slightly stopping you. "Where r'you goin?"
"Check on him, I'm fine, truly, guys, let me go." Pushing their hands from you, you gasped as you tried to wrap your button up around your shoulders. "Shit."
"Here bon." Johnny helped you set the shirt around you, "You sure you don't want to rest a bit more bonnie?"
"I'll be fine Johnny, thank you. You guys know I've been through worse." You chuckled as you unlocked and left the room, all of them close to you, glued like guard dogs, everyone making a clear path for you. Nearing John's office you ushered them away, knocking on the door and not hearing anything you stepped in and looked around confused when you didn't see him inside. Now making your way to his room you knocked as you slowly opened the door and looked in, hearing the shower from his bathroom.
Closing the door and locking it behind you, you went to the bathroom and stood in the door frame frowning, "Captain."
His head spun around so fast you were sure you heard a crack, "What are you doing?"
"Came to check on you." Walking in some more you looked into his eyes, he looked so pained staring into you, before they went down and took in your arm and collarbone. Shrugging the shirt off slowly, you used you good arm to undo the sling taking it off.
"What are yo-"
"Help me with my shirt will you?" Stepping right into the shower with him, the water splashing off his shoulders and head hitting you, his scowl deepened, as he opened his mouth to speak you rested your hand on his cheek, "John, help me?" His hands were more gentle than ever as they guided your clothes off of you, kneeling down undoing your boots and tossing each soaked piece of clothing out of the shower.
"You should be resting." Standing back up he retracted his hands moving to make room for you under the water.
"I will, after this." Stepping back into his space, you pushed your hand into his stomach before gliding your fingers through his chest hair and then gripping his shoulder pulling him to you. "Y/N."
"Don't pull from me John, I'm fine, everything's okay. I'm sorry, truly, it's my fault, I nev-"
"Stop." Closing his eyes he tilted his head back, "You've nothing to apologize for darling, this is my fault."
"It's not your f-"
"I said you wouldn't be out on the field, I caved, you got hurt protecting me when I promised I would protect you. This should've never happened, not for me or because of me." His eyes were so broken, voice almost cracking in the end, guiding him back to you, you leaned up onto your tips gently kissing him.
"You've up held to your promise John, there's nothing you could've ever done to prevent me from protecting you. As much as you don't want anything happening to me, I don't want anything to happen to you, to any of you. As I belong to you all, ALL of you belong to me too." You used your good arm to wrap up and around his shoulders, your right arm carefully going to his waist and massaging his lower back, whatever you could comfortably reach you did.
"Darling." Leaning the both of you under the water, he kissed you, enveloping you into his arms. Reaching his hands down to behind your thighs you grabbed his bicep and jumped, wrapping your legs around his hips he leaned back, his back hitting the wall, locking his lips with yours, tongues slowly easing into the others mouth. Each moment the two of you would pull back for a gasp of breath your would continue to reassure him, claiming him, the team, telling him continuously that you belong to them, calming his nerves, kissing the anger fueled tears from his cheeks. He wasn't mad at you, couldn't ever be, he was angry at himself, your words soothing his soul.
Feeling the water start to cool against both of your skin, John slid your hips up along him a little more groaning as your slit dragged along his shaft, holding you to him he turned the water off and stepped out, grabbing a towel setting you on the counter drying you. Before he tossed the towel, you grabbed it from him and returned the favor also patting him dry smiling when he kissed along your neck, jaw, shoulders and laying gentle kisses to your collarbone. Shuddering at the soft touch you let the towel slide from your fingers as you drift your fingers into his hair lightly clenching and redirecting his lips back to yours, picking you back up he carried you to his bed, ever so carefully laying you on your back in the middle, bringing the other spare pillow he had under your hips.
As gentle as he was being you could feel the tremble in his body, unsure of if it's just being a build up of passion or something else you tried to move your hips with his, arching your back into him as your clit rubbed against the tip of his dick. "Don't move, I'll take care of you." Pouting as you watched him kiss a trail down your stomach and hip you moved your legs for him, moving your hips up the hip as his hand gently slapped your pussy making you gasp, surprised. "Darling, don't move."
"But..." Looking to the side before looking back to him, "You want more, right? I'm fine, you can take me how you need Captain."
Huffing he pushed back up, "Y/n, you're hurt."
"But I'm FINE, take me, if it gets to be too much, I'll say my safe word. ... Take me Captain." You were pushing him again, just like you had when you begged to go on the mission, his body itching as he grabbed the back side of your left knee he pushed it up to your chest slapping your cunt a little harder this time.
"You are damn stubborn sweat heart, I tell you no again and yet you keep pushing. You never want to listen, I'm trying to look out for you, why won't you let me do this for you." Slapping your cunt again a little harder again, you gasped jolting, "Begging me to just fucking take you, you'll say your safe word? What if you can't?" You clenched around nothing just before he moved your leg to the side a little more exposing your clit and slapped down making you moan, "I'll take you darling, I'll fucking take you but damnit Y/N. Why must you push me?" Pouting you looked down, watching as he lined himself up and started easing into you. "Fuck." Grunting the both of you jerked into the other panting as he slowly moved in and out of you, your slick collecting around the base of his cock.
"John." Huffing your hips started moving, meeting his, the sound of skin slapping ringing in your ears making your head spin from how much he was stretching you. Feeling his fingers dig into your hips he pushed your hips down into the pillow growling.
"No moving damnit, urgh, gonna make me lose it darling. You want to cum?"
"Yes, please, Captain, please sir." Feeling his dick twitch against your gummy walls you moaned, "Captain."
John swirled his fingers around your clit, lightly pinching it, a small twist before pushing his thumb into you drawing circles. Arching up from the bed you whined cumming, walls spasming around him, he didn't relent as he continued to riding out your orgasm. Huffing he drew your legs up to his chest, pushing down to you, he gripped your neck, squeezing the sides, "Again darling, come on." Slamming his hips down your cunt started squelching, taking each thrust you rolled your eyes back trying to arch into him and move your hips but with his weight over you, you couldn't move. Feeling him squeeze your throat a little tighter you gasped grabbing his forearm moaning, "Darling." Loosening his hold your grabbed the side of his face and pulled him down kissing him.
Breathing heavily the both of you pulled back and came, John grasping the pillow under your head pushing his forehead into yours grunting after he picked his rhythm back up, overstimulating the both of you, "Oh, John, wait..." As you whined, he pulled out, sliding you onto your left side, laying behind you, raising your leg and slinging it back and over his thigh. Taking labored breathes you moved your hips back into him moaning when he helped guide you this time rather than try and stop you, "Oh John, yes, good." Feeling his hips picked up, your body getting jostled, the sheets getting kicked and pushed to the floor, the pillow that had been under your hip also being pushed to the ground.
John slid his arm under and around you neck, putting you into a choke hold from behind, your third orgasm flooding over you, your body shaking as he didn't stop. Gasping you grabbing the bed sheet and trying to push his forearm only making him grunt, "No, you're going to stay right here, fuck. Right here, where I can see you, hold you." Scowling you tried to hold out but when your fourth orgasm was slowly building up already you felt tears prick at your eyes, your cunt felt too raw, already clenching so tightly around him, his girth stinging slightly more than the pleasure that was building. Huffing you tried pushing again against his arm, before shaking violently against his front whining patting his arm.
"Red, John, red please." Gasping you gathered your breath as he froze, his hips pushed flesh against you. Feeling him slowly pull out of you, you whined when he pulled away, collecting the blanket from the ground and the other pillow, he got back in behind you gently massaging your hips.
"I'm sorry darling."
"You did nothing wrong John, Just over stimulated a bit quick today is all." You interlocked your fingers with his smiling as he wrapped his arms around you gently.
"You're too good for me, Y/N."
"No, you are ... me." Your eyelids growing heavy, you yawned and snuggled back a little more into him before falling into sleep.
"No, you truly are, for any of us, you deserve better."

Back to you
Mikey x male reader
Omegaverse, angst, attempted suicide, depression, mentions of miscarriage
🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑
(name) was silent as he listened to the saved voice mails of his once fiance, Mikey's warm voice as he spoke about their plans and the soft "I love you" before they ended, he was always so gentle when speaking to (name).
He was always so wonderful to (name).
He worked so hard for (name) especially after the Takemichi incident, he and takemichi actually grew quite close over the years.
"Don't stay up too late, Sanzu and I got business... I love you" Mikey's voice spoke out before the audio clip ended and (name) was left in silence, tears streaming down his eyes as he whispered a watery "I love you" back, body slumped slightly as a sob broke through his body.
He took care of Grandpa Sano till his passing, the house given to (name) when he died and (name) became a recluse, each room exactly how it was left, Emma's room unchanged.
It was a time capsule of broken memories.
(Name) kept everything clean and tidy, taking the spare room as his own and keeping keepsakes of his family now gone, a shrine of his three siblings.
He always put their favorite desserts and foods out for them, shrines in the empty dojo for each member of the Sano family Izana included, photos of each of them.
He hoped they rested easy.
Mikey was never the same after leaving (name), his beloved Omega, his everything.
Sanzu locked his pain away with drugs, guilt filling him for abandoning his beloved younger brother, the only sibling he claimed and valued deeply.
Takeomi pretended nothing was wrong but his heart clenched at the sight of anything or anyone reminding him of the omega.
Mikey didn't eat much, he didn't sleep really either.
He could feel the pain from (name) in the claim mark, he bit (name) during his rut but (name) never got a chance to return it during his heat, Mikey forced to feel it all.
The abandonment.
The suffering.
The heartache.
Every night like clockwork was when it was at its worse, like it started all over again.
And it was all Mikey's fault.
The two had been engaged since they were children, been through the good and the bad and Mikey left (name) with OAS (Omega abandonment syndrome).
Mikey was living in the life of luxury while (name) lived alone and broken.
Mikey kept close tabs on (name), he was obsessed with him-- he always was.
(Name) was perfect.
He had pictures of him, regularly getting updates on every aspect of his life and every little moment he had.
Draken got (name) a dog, it helped a little.
It got him out at least, (name) regularly going out to walk the pooch.
"It's for the best" he would tell himself, it's what all three of them would tell themselves.
(Name) walked with Draken, the Alpha always the big brother figure to him, he was supposed to be his brother in law after all. The tall mechanic decided to give (name) a job at his shop with Inupi, the passive blond never really interacted with (name), Draken explaining his situation and the therapy (name) was going through. (Name) made strides compared to how he was in the beginning, when Mikey abandoned him... (Name)... He... Draken hated thinking about it.
(Name) was good at the job, the consistency with social interactions distracting the Omega and he even laughed once, even if it was only slight.
"Move?"
"Yeah, inupis boyfriend and him want to live together and I offered to move out so they can have the apartment"
"Are you still looking?" (Name) asked softly and Draken grunted "yeah, preferably something close"
"... You could stay with me"
Draken accepted it, (name) and him packed up grandpa sanos belongings, some things spaced around the house but many things out in Mikey's former room (Draken had to put it in as (name) refused to enter that room), Draken moving in the same week.
Mikey looked at the pictures and didn't know how to feel though the mics and cameras in the apartment showed Drakens genuine concern for the Omega, helping him move on from the 'deaths' of all his loved ones.
"You kept these?" Drakens voice through the recording was shocked and almost heartbroken, Mikey leaning into his seat as he watched the recording "I couldn't get rid of them... I have a box of memories as well"
Mikey was shocked as the Kanto and Toman jackets were lifted, they were in perfect condition, Mikey thought he got rid of those...
"I miss him" (name) croaked out and Draken held him close "did you know I was pregnant when he left?"
Mikey froze as he heard this, Sanzu walking in as he heard it "pregnant?" Both Sanzu and Draken said in shock.
"Yeah, a little girl... I hoped she would look like Mikey... I always teased him that he would make a pretty girl" (name) said with a lifeless chuckle and everything clicked for Draken.
This is why he couldn't move on.
"I had a whole dinner planned for telling him, do you think he would have been happy?"
"Yes..." Mikey whispered broken, he would have been over the moon! He would have lifted (name) and carried him around, never letting him lift a finger and and... He killed his baby.
He was the worst.
"I was wondering... If you maybe wanted to go out sometime?" A customer asked (name), the Omega shocked as he fiddled with his fingers "uh... I'm sorry I'm not looking for a relationship right now" he mumbled looking stressed out and leaned away, he had stopped saying he was married anymore.
The concept of a relationship was hard for (name), who would want him? A broken Omega widow?
It also felt like a betrayal.
He was betraying his alpha...
But Mikey was also dead.
Mikey was dead.
(Name) was sitting in his room thinking about this, maybe it was time he go on a date.
(Name) wanted to cry.
His date didn't show up.
(Name) felt defeated as he stood up and left the restaurant, tears staining the nice clothes Mitsuya put together for him, walking down the street with a distant look.
He decided to take an alternative route, wanting to eat some sweets at a bakery he knew stayed open late.
(Name) was in a haze as he walked, staring at the road before him and walking into it.
He stared down a truck barreling towards him when he was ripped away "ARE YOU INSANE?!" a voice screamed at him and (name) just stared off before glancing up.
"Oh I'm dead..." (Name) mumbled as he stared at Sanzu, so broken and lifeless was the man before Sanzu.
"You're not dead! You almost fucking died! Why would you do that?!"
Because he wanted to see his loved ones.
He just wanted to be with his family.
He lost so much.
Emma.
Senju.
His brothers and his beloved.
"I lost it so bad I'm hallucinating..." (Name) laughed to himself as Sanzu looked at his brother in horror, had (name) been that emotionally damaged by them leaving him?
(Name) stood up and began wandering off, clothes tattered and scrapes on his body and Sanzu didn't trust him to be left alone.
(Name) sat on the leather couches, taken to god knows where but he didn't particularly care.
He didn't care what happened anymore.
He was already hallucinating his dead loved ones.
Glancing around he took in the high end building and the large clear window of Tokyo, wandering to look out of it.
He wondered how fast he would die at this height.
"(Name)?" A voice took (name) from his thoughts and he turned to see Takeomi, the other in shock "you're not real" (name) said simply as he looked at Takeomi up and down "(name)... I'm real" takeomi said to his brother who scoffed and returned to look out the window.
Takeomi walked towards him and reached out but got a volatile reaction instead "don't fucking touch me! Is this some sick fucking joke?! Let's get people who look like the poor omegas dead loved ones and emotionally torment him!" (Name) cried out as he stepped away, shaking and just every emotion he repressed came out as he began crying hysterically. He was so angry and just done, screaming his frustrations onto the other and hyperventilating to the point he felt dizzy.
His screaming and angry caught the attention of the rest of Bonten, Mikey stepping out to see his beloved being held by takeomi while struggling and screaming.
"Look! There's Mikey!"
(Name) was sobbing and absolutely furious as he locked eyes with his mate and at this point absolutely lost it, not noticing takeomi putting pressure against his neck before the world went dark.
Mikey didn't leave his mates side, the closest he had been in a long time, he knew he shouldn't have but crawled in the bed and held (name) close in his lap, kissing his temple.
"I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have left you" Mikey whispered, he wasn't going to let him go anymore.
He just hoped (name) wouldn't despise him when he woke.

For the past couple of months, every time Javier would lie his head on his pillow and try to get to sleep, he thought of Manuel Herrera and how that cabrón was the luckiest motherfucker in the world. To Javi, Manu was a mediocre cop, there were worse cops than him, and there were better cops than him. His grades weren't the best, and he didn't graduate with all the honors, Javier found out when he convinced Colleen to access his personal file and hand it over to him. He wanted to know everything about the man, all the good and all the dirt, because there was no way in hell he would sit down with his arms crossed and let you get involved with someone he didn't know. You didn't want anything to do with him, was one thing. He couldn't interfere, he couldn't force you into taking any other choice, but the least he could do was to make sure you were safe with your new man.
Javier spent days talking to his peers. He was gathering as much information on Manu as possible but still, he couldn't find anything. He didn't find any dirt, any gossip, not even when he tried running his name through the brothels, he couldn't get one single piece of information. It seemed you'd found yourself a good guy and he thought he could never compete with that. It was time for him to accept that Manu was a better man in every aspect than him. Unlike him, Manu wasn't a dirty cop, he didn't have agreements with Los Pepes, he wasn't the most known cop in Colombia's whorehouses and above all, Manu had you, while Javi could only dream of that. Your face was the last thing he saw before sleeping and that first thing that came to his mind when he woke up.
Even though he told himself he was fine with you moving on, he wasn't. He couldn't really accept the fact you were with someone else, of course he didn't really have a choice but his heart was broken.
While you kept your distance from him it'd been somewhat easier, but the moment he had to face you across the hall, making that much of a noise for another man, it really hit him: he'd lost you and there was no turning back.
Javi felt a pure rage like nothing hit him before. He felt betrayed, he felt someone had stolen from him and he couldn't bear being near you if you weren't his.
So he went out to drink, but when the morning came, he had to face you at Steve's barbecue, which was a mixture that shouldn't have happened.
And that was why you had argued, and for the first time you had admitted your feelings for him, he knew it, in fact, pretty much everybody knew it, but hearing you say you were once in love with him made him realize the mistake he'd made.
He loved you, and you used to love him, and due to a matter of time, place and stupidity, you couldn't be together anymore.
So Javier went after trouble and he got it, the sicario didn't miss one single punch and Javi went back to his senses, he was coughing blood and limping his way through the hallway.
And then you showed up, looking like an angel, sent from heaven, just to help him, with your grace and kindness.
And right then, without expecting anything in return you were there for him, after everything bad he'd done. After all the pain he made you go through you were still there.
He felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest with love.
He had it bad for you, he was in very deep.
For the first time in his life, Javier Peña admitted to himself he felt truly and deeply in love.
If he didn't know any better, he would've fallen to his knees, begged you for forgiveness for everything bad he'd ever put you through and he would have to control himself not to beg you to be his wife.
Because from that moment you sat on his lap, through the moment you sat on his face and he finally tasted your sweet honey, so addictive and intoxicating, to the moment you finally fell asleep in his arms, the only thing that crossed Javier's mind was making you his forever.
He hadn't planned on touching you, he wanted to show you he wasn't looking after sex, he wanted you to see he lingered your presence, he craved your affection, he just wanted to fall asleep feeling safe and happy for the first time in years, but you'd kissed him, and from that moment on, the two of you couldn't stop. The way you wanted him, the way you touched him after he'd brought you to your orgasm, showed him you desired him as much as he desired you. It wasn't just love, just affection, and it wasn't just sexual attraction either. It was all those things combine, the whole package, suddenly, after a lifetime of seeing himself as a lonely guy, unable to have lasting relationships or intimacy, after all that time of accepting he would never settle down like everyone else did around him, he realized maybe, just maybe he had a chance to do that. It was what he'd ever heard of and for a long period he assumed it was just bullshit, he thought it wasn't more than cheap plots for movies and soap operas because he never thought loving someone like that could be real.
Javier had heard his pa talking about it whenever he mentioned his ma, and though he did believe his parents had such a beautiful love story, he was sure that kind of thing wouldn't happen to him. He just wasn't the guy for it, no one that left his bride waiting at the altar would be worth of being loved by any other women.
When the realization of that hit him, it felt something inside of Javier had died and he only looked for women when he needed sexual satisfaction, at first they were hookups he would pick up at bars, but as soon as he learned his way around informants in Colombia, he turned to hookers as well, he would pay them for information and only information, until one of them asked him why he wouldn't enjoy the rest of the time if he'd paid for the full hour. And after that, he was doomed.
It was an endless parade of nameless, faceless and heartless women, because he never remembered any of these features, though he was always respectful towards them, they were just a means to an end and that was it.
He'd lived his life like that, tricking himself. He was somewhat happy or pleased by it, until you came into the picture. And that rocked his little world.
You'd put him under your spell, and as much as he tried fighting you as hard as he could, now that he'd had a taste of you, he'd surrendered completely. He didn't want anything else in life, but you.
So when you fell asleep in his arms, he realized for the first time in months he didn't have to picture your face before sleeping in hopes of dreaming of you, because you were right there, in his arms, the place Javier Peña never wanted you to leave.
Morning came too fast, and with that, a heavy weight placed itself in his chest. He knew his time with you was almost over, but the scene he woke up to prevented him from getting upset, as the first view that came to his eyes was you lying naked in his bed, on top of him.
Javi could swear his heart ached at the sight of you. You were so gorgeous, too good for him, but he loved how your body weighed against his, your skin and how soft it felt.
He buried his face into your hair and inhaled your delicious scent. He allowed himself to relax and made sure you were covered so he could close his eyes and go back to sleep.
When someone banged on the door repeatedly. Javi immediately groaned and rolled his eyes, a lot of possibilities crossing his mind.
What if it was Manu? What if somehow he found out his girlfriend had spent the night over? Of course it wouldn't be the first time Javier would have to face an angry boyfriend or even an angry husband after a lay, but you weren't just a lay, you were his now, Javier felt he had you and the only one who could say otherwise was you. If you wanted to go back to Manu afterwards he would just pick up the pieces of his heart and keep on living his miserable life, but if you chose him over your boyfriend, you were about to own him, because Javi had accepted he wanted to be tamed by you.
His blood ran cold when he realized it could be one of the prostitutes he hired, technically they would have no reasons to knock on his door on a Sunday morning but anxiety still crept up because things were just going too good for him, what if one of them showed up at his door, asking him for any favor and giving you those eyes that in another time would make him weak at the knees, you would certainly be pissed off, and he would have no other way to get you back. He sighed and thought of closing his eyes one more time and ignore the noise, but another bang on the door caught his attention.
"Damn Peña, wake up!!!!" Steve said in a loud voice as he was getting impatient at the amount of time he'd been trying to get Javier out of his apartment.
Javi felt relief and carefully rolled you to your side of the bed, before jumping off it, just putting on his jeans - with no underwear at all - and opened the door.
Steve raised his eyebrow and looked at him before rolling his eyes.
"They called from the office, we got a lead on La Quica, I give you one hour to get ready and meet me by the car or I'm going alone" he said impatiently and saw as Javi nodded.
Steve closed his arms and scoffed.
"And for the record, the lady friends you used to bring home weren't as loud as the one from last night… We fucking heard her from our apartment, Connie got pissed" he said "no wonder Y/N hates your guts" he shook his head and walked away.
Javi took a deep breath, to control his anger at Steve's harsh words and closed the door
"Fucking hillbilly" he mumbled under his breath and was surprised when two arms wrapped around his body.
You chuckled at their interaction and kissed his neck and then all over his broad shoulder.
"So Steve thought I was one of your hookers?" You raised your eyebrow as he turned around and placed his hands on your waist
"He's a dick, hermosa, don't mind him" his voice was nothing but a low purr as his thumb caressed your skin. Javier took a good look at you, loving to see you were wearing nothing but one of his shirts you found discarded in his bedroom. It barely covered your modesty but you didn't care, it felt so good to be wearing his shirt, it was not a big deal, but at the same time it represented an intimate act.
You shook your head and bit your lips to hide your smile "well, Steve wasn't wrong though, I guess I made a lot of noise" you chuckled and squealed when Javier's hand gripped your ass cheeks and lifted you up, you laughed excitedly and immediately wrapped your legs around his waist, pressing you against the wall for a kiss.
You gripped his hair and looked at him
"Morning, hermoso" you winked and giggled at his surprised expression of being called that way.
He chuckled and sustained your weight once more, carrying you to the kitchen and placing you on the counter.
"I'll make us some breakfast, you heard Steve, we only have one hour" he winked at you and began preparing everything as you watched him.
That was an image you could definitely get used to, domestic, shirtless and bed haired Javier Peña cooking you breakfast. You admired the way the outline of his muscles were visible each time he moved around. You bit your lips and let yourself be taken back to the night before, when Javi still drunk, hurt and feverish, low-key proposed to you. How he'd talked about a life you would share as a couple, as a married couple, as if he'd already planned things. Of course he didn't mean any of that, you were sure, but it had felt so good to allow yourself to dream, for a least a second, pretend it could happen, it could work. It just made you so happy and warm on the inside to picture yourself as his wife. Maybe living in the ranch he'd mentioned, you both with easy jobs, nothing traumatic or stressful, just living your lives together among nature, animals and happiness, until baby Peña came along…
"Y/N?" Javi asked you, seeing your mind was far away, but he needed to get you back into reality, at least for breakfast.
You looked at him surprised, you hadn't realized you were so distracted.
He pointed at the two big plates he was carrying, one of them with pancakes and the other one with scrambled eggs, because he knew you liked them both.
You giggled and jumped off the counter, walking to the table and deciding to sit on his lap.
You had already cheated on your boyfriend, done some kinky shit with Javier, you figured having breakfast all over him wouldn't change your status to a worse person than you already were.
He chuckled and rested his arm on your thighs, silently enjoying your closeness.
You checked on his bruise and saw it was darker than the night before, but he didn't seem to be in as much pain as he was.
"So, I'll go with Steve after the lead on La Quica and you can stay if you want, cariño… there's not much you can do to entertain yourself but if you'd like to hang out you're more than welcome…"
You looked down at your own hands and sighed, as a sudden wave of guilt hit you.
As much as you'd love to stay and explore Javi's entire apartment, you knew you had to talk to Manu as quickly as possible.
Javier got the demeanor of your behavior and bit the side of his lips, taking a deep breath and nodding silently.
"I have something to do, I'm sorry Javi…"
There it was. The goodbye he had dreaded from the beginning, he had to give in and admit that for a second, he really didn't think it would happen, maybe he was reading too much into your behavior or maybe he had just been too hopeful for the development of the relationship you two could have, but of course, it was just too good for him. He should've known better than to have high hopes.
You looked into his eyes, he was staring at his plate, silently as he chewed slowly and sipped his coffee.
"I need to talk to Manu, what happened last night… between you and me… it was wrong, it shouldn't have happened…"
"Do you regret it?"
"What?"
"Last night. Do you regret it, Y/N? Yes or no?" He cut you off, needing to know, he wanted to know if you were misleading him or if you'd been honest, as honest as he was with you.
"I cheated on my boyfriend, Javi… but no, I don't regret it, I can't lie to you nor to myself, I don't regret it at all, and I would do everything again, in fact, I want to do everything again…" you admitted and placed his hand closer to your inner thigh.
Relief poured all over his body and allowed himself to go soft, his muscles relaxed and he realized he'd been slightly rude to you.
"Sorry cariño…" he kissed your shoulder and you nodded.
"I'll break up with Manu, Javi… I can't be with him anymore, I don't love him, I never did, and what happened between us, it made me realize I don't wanna live a lie, I can't do this to him, it's not fair, and it's not fair to me either, and it's not fair to you" you sighed and watched as he remained silent.
"Can I see you tonight again?" Javier nodded at your question and stroked your thighs "my place?" He shook his head "your place?" Another negative sign. You frowned and felt a small anxiety in your chest.
Javier laughed and held your chin between his fingers "I'll take you out on a date, a real, proper date…" he said "because you deserve it, you ain't just any woman, you're mine now, Y/N… you're my hermosa, my muñequita, you're mi amor" he said as his heart raced with anxiety, he knew he'd been too forward and he feared it would scare you away. He just hadn't done that in so long, to him, relationships were resumed to either picking up a girl at a bar and bringing her home or hiring another for an hour or two and that was it, so now, he was still getting used to it again, he didn't know if his moves were still good enough or if he was just embarrassing himself in front of you. All he wanted to do was not screw this up this time.
Your heart also skipped a beat, he'd called you mi amor as a pet name many times, but for the first time, it felt like he meant it. You smiled and you were about to reply when another sudden bang on the door interrupted you.
"I swear to God, Peña, if you aren't ready yet I'll personally ask Messina to fire you" Steve's screaming voice came from the other side of the door.
You immediately got off Javi's lap and handed him a shirt. He put it on and grabbed his wallet, car keys, sunglasses and turned around, facing you once "I'll pick you up tonight, as 8 PM" He said and leaned in for a quick peck on the lips, but you held his face between your hands "take care, mi amor" you whispered against his lips and noticed his dumbfounded expression as he exited the apartment - being careful enough when opening the door so Steve wouldn't be able to see you there.
As you were left alone in Javi's apartment, you didn't know what to do with yourself. You were giggly, excited, and it felt like you had just been invited to prom, as pure happiness flooded you to think of going on a date with him. His words, not yours.
It was Sunday and you had so many hours to kill and though you still needed to be honest with Manu, you didn't actually want to think of that.
Instead, you scanned Javi's place, realizing you could explore it as much as you'd like, taking your time and even snooping around a little.
But you decided to start by doing the breakfast dishes. You figured you would keep your mind busy while you left everything organized. It was sweet enough he made you breakfast so it would only be fair if you didn't leave a mess behind. As you washed the plates and cups of coffee, you thought of the night you spent together. Funny how only 24 hours ago you were still angry with Javier, if someone had told you just a day later you'd be more excited than a schoolgirl to go out with him, you'd call them crazy.
But you just couldn't even see him hurt like that, you had a real bad feeling about the whole Los Pepes deal when you found out, your worst fear was Javier ending up killed by them, it was enough to bring you nightmares, so you always avoided even thinking of that. The moment you saw him so vulnerable, so hurt, you just couldn't turn your back to him, you needed to be there, to show him things would be alright because he wasn't alone, and one thing led to another to the point you just couldn't hide it anymore. You were madly in love with him.
You smiled at yourself and moved to his bedroom, just a couple of hours ago you two were tangled in that bed, as if you were only one. You'd slept so well you couldn't even remember the last time you didn't wake up in the middle of the night, Javi's presence was so soothing, it felt right, and when things feel right no matter if they are wrong, they still make you happy.
You knew you were wrong, you shouldn't have done what you did to your boyfriend, he didn't deserve it and if it had been the other way around, you would've been crushed. You couldn't make things right to Manu, but you owed him honesty. So you'd made up your mind to go after him and explain why you shouldn't be together anymore. You couldn't undo the damage done to him, but you didn't know exactly what you'd tell him. You couldn't just throw Javier under the bus, after Carlos, you couldn't let your guard down, even if Manu wasn't a psycho who would try to kill you, you couldn't afford being involved in yet another office scandal concerning private relationships.
But just because Manu was respectful of you, it didn't mean he wouldn't take it out on Javi, after all, he never literally liked Javier before, for once because of his infamous reputation and also for the time their departments had a feud in one of the cases.
You sighed, making the bed as thinking of how you left your perfume all over those sheets, and even if by any chance Javi didn't want to see you again, he would still have to handle your scent in his bed for at least a few days. You chuckled at the thought and focused on your task.
The bed was perfectly made when someone knocked on the door, you frowned, suspicious at who could
possibly be knocking on Javier's door, when you eyed his badge on the coffee table you chuckled, Steve had rushed Javi to the point he forgot about it.
You quickly grabbed it and opened the door, being sure he was there to get it before he could go into his full cop mood.
"Listen, Peña, I'm here to talk about Y/N, I-" Manu's words disappeared mid sentence as he stood there in complete shock seeing you had opened the door to Javier's apartment, the man he hated the most in the whole, completely naked under his shirt.
It was an inexcusable situation, Manu was the last person you expected to be knocking, and you swore you would talk to him, you would come clean with him, but now it wasn't necessary as he had found out about your dirty little secret.
Manu just couldn't process the fact you, the woman he was growing to love was Javier Peña's puta.
_____
A/N: idk besties, at some point i asked myself: is this too much fluff for javier? Then i remember i am still sick and I NEED javier fluff, i love this chapter so much, the way he's sooooo in love with reader, i know he's a dick but he's already paid for what he did, and yes, cheating is wrong but reader can't help, she loves Javi so cut her some slack. Anyways, let me know what you guys thought of this chapter? What do you guys think it will happen next?

Stepdad Nanami
——MDNI——GROOMING, not really incest, Age gap, manipulation, broken home, slut shaming (at ur mom lol), drug mention—————-
You knew your mom’s marriage had about 3 years at most, you had to give it toher that 5 with the same man would have been a new record if she was only with him for that time.
It wasn’t your business. If you had anything to say the men would blame you and say you were just like her.
You didn’t care about those guys, and they never lasted long with your mother anyway. It was like this for the first 16 years of your life until your mom met a handsome man, who became your stepfather after 2 years of dating your mother
He was always nice to you, he did everything a good dad should. He got you a car, went all out on your birthday, he wasn’t tying to win you over, he was just that great, he made you change your mind about men. (maybe it was just the kind you mother kept running to)
It was heartbreaking the day he say you down, before he could explain his face sank. He covered his eyes and sighed as he explained that he’s serving your mom with divorce papers. he feels bad to bring you into this but he had to ask
You’re an adult now, you can make your own decisions, but I wanted to give you the chance to get away from her. I don’t mean any offense, but I know for a fact she’s going to use you or worse.
he was right on the money, sometimes she used you to lure in those strange men, where she’d threaten to tell their wives or police what they thought they were doing with you. It was just her type, people who could compare her to parts of herself. In this case, she was sick enough to use her daughter as bait.
You were safe though, it never got further than forceful kisses to tape as proof. That hag just had it out for you but would never consider sharing.
You immediately take his hand as you wanted to move out for years. You’re 21 but she’s had control over you. People always say just leave, you’re an adult so she has no power.
Try living your life as a flea in a jar or a frog in a growing boiling pot, there’s a whole world out there and yet you were taught your limits.
Your eyes pleaded for him to take you away. You didn’t care, you felt closer to him than anyone. You knew it could be wrong, but he said it himself, you’re an adult now. And your mother wouldn’t be upset about sharing since he’s leaving her.
You climb onto his lap and lay your head on his neck, his hand now slid down his face, covering his mouth as his other hand patted your head closer to him.
“Don’t worry. You’re safe with me.” He promised.
The next week sure were hectic. You had to plan out what to take, gathering all your important documents and essentials.
Nanami daddy got a studio for you both, in a matter days you had everything moved out of the house while your mom was on her bender. Her lapses of being with one man for months then going to whoever after was just part of her fun. She didn’t need them for anything other than attention.
Sometimes you wonder what your father was like, if he could’ve treated you better than her if she didn’t have u trapped in her body for months. U don’t want to know what she did while pregnant with you either.
You were given this chance. Your stepdad leaving, and he was taking you with him. He saw what kind of life you both had. He found no sympathy for her as she was the adult. He stayed for you.
A child should be cared for, loved. He didn’t get that from you at all when you first met. Just 16 and you avoided him like the plague. it gave him an indication of who was usually around.
He didn’t lure you out with gifts or make the first move. He just entertained your mother, as he did find something amusing with her. She was fun, but at home she’s a terrible mom and that wasn’t anything he found respectable.
It wasn’t until the 4th month that he was still around that you just found it weird. No ones usually around this long. Mom was probably having a lot of fun with this idiot you thought.
The 6th month came and you started to come out when he was around. If he was in the kitchen, you wouldn’t wait for him to leave the space before making it yours. It was your house after all, you were going to remind him.
It was weird, but you were getting jealous of him being around. Your mom couldn’t stick to one thing, much less take responsibility and take care of you. Why was he so special? Why did she /want/ to see him?
You felt hatred grow in you as he noticed the posters on your wall, the music you played, how you dressed. For your 18th, he’d gotten you tickets to one of your favorite band’s shows. How the hell did he- and the small gifts like stickers of said posters, he made it so you weren’t surprised when you received yet another reward after accomplishing something, even the smallest thing. “Because you deserve it.”
You didn’t know if it weirded you out, that he was being so nice to you, or that he was your mom’s fiancé and you had him under you.
That hate boiled over one day and you just had to get it out somehow. He was always patient with you, as you asked to talk to him. It surprised him, but it was definitely a step forward.
He sits on the same side of the table as you, facing each other, your opposite arms touching the table.
“Are you upset about the wedding?”
You don’t say anything, your eyes darting, answering his question.
“I’m sorry (y/n), but it’s for the best. (M/n) said you’ve seemed happier since we got together.” Your stomach sank. “I could keep-“
You grasp out for his dress shirt sleeve, looking up at him, somewhat between crying and pouting, asking him to stop talking.
His eyes widen. “(Y/n)…” You take his hand, bringing it to your body. You place his palm under your shirt, watching his face go from confused to flustered. His stoic personality wavering, you hold onto his arm and jump onto his lap.
You could already feel it, he was so hard under you.
“(Y/n)!” He takes his hand back, putting you back onto your chair. His stern look scared you. He’s never looked like that around you, only because you were always well behaved, or rather just kept to yourself. He never expected this from you. But you were your mother’s daughter.
His hand around the wrist you let him feel you with. You didn’t know if you had just fucked up big time. Was the wedding off? You just wanted him to yourself and had to let him know.
The look you gave him almost made him feel bad for treating you right the past few years.
you werent used to that, you didn’t know any better. the anger you were feeling was from a lot of things. why did someone like your mother get to marry someone like him?
Why weren’t there more people like him? If there were you would have been saved a long time ago, but instead, you’re giving it all to the first person who’s shown you you’re more than an extension of your mother.
Thankfully he was just a man, and that yearnful, pathetic, desperate look a young girl could give to melt a man’s morals, he kissed you.
He keeps kissing you, almost like he was teaching you how he liked it, you didn’t mind, you didn’t care about anything else. Your mom could walk in right now and you’d show off how much better you were for nanami.
That didn’t have to happen though. As his large hands found their way to your hips and he slowly brings you back to his lap. And after that day you were his.
He stopped himself so many times to not take you just yet though. It wasn’t until the weeks leading up tot he wedding that he wanted you more than ever. And you’ve been more than patient. Only getting by with his touch and words of encouragement.
You didn’t get why he still went through with the small wedding, maybe to just show off to everyone else, mislead them that he’s a good man, marrying into a good family, with an honest job and whatever else to solidify the lie.
the next 2 years being the best you’ve ever had, up until your mothers alcoholism started to catch up with her. Her need to find solace in addictions, whether it was the validation of men, gambling, sex, any other drug, she was a mess. Everyone believed Nanami would be able to fix her, but her last blackout caused you to get a sprained wrist and black eye. That was when nanami had enough.
Spoiler for part 2: Nanami's divorce lawyer fucks his step daughter (Hiromi makes an appearance.)

Tumblr media
Three more days go by, everyday there is a new livestream. You look worse and worse each time, the light in your eyes drifting away, the hope dying away. You have been forced to fight one more time, and it
ended the same way. You gave the poor boy mercy in the final moments of the fight only for him to end his life. You did everything you could to get him to stop but nothing you did made him turn the knife onto you, so you laid on the ground once more holding the young boy in your arms as he bleeded out. On the days you wouldn’t fight he would come in and take his anger out on you, trying out some new knives he had, your body is nothing but a meat sack covered in bruises and scars. You grew tired, no longer fighting against him, the sas has long left you as you wait for the impending end.
~~~
Aaron paces the room as his mind spiralling, it's been over four days since they took you, and concentrating is getting harder with each minute passing. The team got a new lead this morning, Garcia, Reid and Morgan are sitting in the other room going through the geographic profile once more, while the rest of them map out what the next moves of the unsub could be. So far deadends keep being hit but new hope has been lit inside the team, everyone seems to be pushing through the fear of losing you, everyone but Aaron. The door flies open, making everyone's head shoot up as Morgan and Garcia stand there looking shocked.
“We got the location, we got him” Garcia gasps breathless as she sprints into the room carrying her laptop, quickly followed by Morgan and Reid.
“What, you're sure?” JJ eyes brighten up, leaping into action.
“Positive, three hours south from here there's an abandoned underground gymnasium that has a huge pool, there's only two entrances into it” Garcia speaks quickly, Reid lays down the map, pointing it out.
“Also its a 7 hour drive from where they found (Y/n) many years ago, he could have ran from there” Reid adds.
“Let's go then” Hotch orders, and in a split second the team is sprinting out of the room.
~~~
Your energy is gone, you don’t care about staying alert anymore, when you're alone all you do is sleep. Your mind's way of escaping as your body works on healing itself. Someone yanks your head back, waking you up, a quiet noise of pain slips through your lips.
“Morning sunshine” He laughs as he walks in front of you, his sickening smile is one thing you will never get used to.
“What now?” sighing softly, as you stare up at him, as he kneels down staring at you with interest.
“It's time for another fight sweetboy” His chuckles grow louder when you don't react. He’s done it, he’s broken you, there is no strength of fight left inside of you any more.
“Fine, where is he?” You groan softly as he unties your hands, giving you time to stretch, rubbing your sore wrist.
“He’s coming” He smirks at you before removing your chair, and climbing out of the pool, setting up the camera and lights before the door opens.
“Ah Victor, you’re here” He grins at you as your face falls.
“Yes sir” A dark cold voice response, before walking closer making himself visible. He’s grown, he’s bigger than you now, a lot stronger by the looks of it too. His eyes are dead and when he glances at you, there is no look of recognition as he meets your eyes. The boy you once knew is gone, and that's your fault.
“Are you ready, Jupiter?” Ma’am giggles, your eyes glance at her, not even nothing beside Ryan before.
“I’m not fighting him” You shake your head at them.
“Making it easy for me” He smirks darkly at you before jumping down into the pool, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Ryan you don’t have to do this” You try to reason with him, staying still.
“That's not my name” He hisses at you, his eyes narrowing.
“It used to be, do you remember me?” You take a deep breath stepping forward.
“No, I don’t” He scoffs, he slams his eyes shut before reopening them with new rage.
“I bet you do, and you don’t want anything to do with those memories because I hurt you when I left you, Ryan” You speak calmly but firmly keeping eye contact with him.
“Bullcrap, I don’t fucking know you!” He snaps at you, his body lunging towards you, you dodge him.
“Don’t hide from me” His smirk darkness as he watches your slow movements, focusing on your limp.
“Why not, you're analysing me because I’m slow because I'm injured and that's the only way you can beat me” You smirk back at him, knowing his techniques, having discovered them together.
“Oh I could beat your ass easily” He chuckles, advancing on you.
“Lies Ryan lies” You smile at him, watching as a small light appears in his eyes for two seconds. Two seconds of hope then suddenly, he’s got you. A few quick hits in your face and chest to disorientate you, blood drips from your mouth as he eases up for a moment and then you can hear his yells.
“I don’t know you, I don't know Ryan!” He screams as he goes back to using you as a punching bag. You manage to get your leg out, tripping him over as you gasp for air, climbing on top of him, doing your best to pin his arms down.
“You do know Ryan, It's you, and I’m (Y/n), come on man we used to be best friends” You argue, watching as anger flares into his eyes.
“I don’t fucking know you” He snarls at you, and in one quick movement, he flips you both over, winding you. His hands wrap around your throat, pressing down hard as you struggle to breath, forgetting all your training. You try your hardest to find words to speak but nothing can get past your lips, soon everything starts growing darker.
“Forgive you” You cough up, it's barely loud enough as you give up fighting. What is there to fight for anyway, no ones coming to save you anyway. Soon darkness overcomes you and you feel yourself floating.
~~~
It's cold, a cold feeling on your cheeks as fresh air fills your lungs. You gasp, your body shooting up, pushing the coldness away from you, blinking rapidly as your eyes adjust to the dark room.
“(Y/n), (Y/n), It’s okay it’s just us, It’s JJ” A firm but calming voice calls to you, before something soft touches your shoulder. Your head spins around, your eyes landing on her, a weak smile crawls onto your face, before falling away.
“I..I'm dead aren’t I?” Yours words are barely audible as you stare at her, the new hope fading away.
“No, you're alive, we got you” She smiles softly at you, rubbing your back gently.
“Y you came for me?” Your voice wobbles as tears start filling your eyes, a sob begging to escape.
“Of course we did kiddo” Another voice speaks beside you, moving your head slowly you spot Dave kneeling down beside you, wrapping his arm around you which you lean into.
“Th thank you” A sob leaves you as you reach a hand out to JJ, taking her hand in yours earning a soft sadden smile from her.
“Always, we are family” She smiles at you before helping you up. You lean on them both for support, before your eyes scan the room, stopping on the body just a few feet from you.
“Ryan…” Your heart breaks as you stare at him, and the blood pooling underneath him.
“I’m sorry (Y/n)” Dave's soft voice pulls your attention to him and his guilt filled eyes. You can’t focus on that now, you just can’t, you give him a quick nod.
“Let's get the hell out of here” Gulping thickly as you let them lead you to the side of the pool, taking your time.
“Rossi, you got him?” A loud voice calls from the doorway before four agents make their way inside the room.
“Yeah Morgan we got him” Rossi calls back, beckoning him over. Morgan and Prentiss quickly make their way over, smiles of reliefs flooding their faces as their eyes set on you.
“You are a site for sore eyes” Morgan chuckles softly, holding out a hand as you try to climb out, him and Prentiss grabbing your arm gently pulling you up.
“Good to see you too, Morgan” Smiling weakly, leaning into him as Prentiss helps pull the other two up. His arm wraps around you as you use him for support, resting your head on his arm, earning a few back rubs from him.
“Hey, your boss is calling for backup there's more kids than they thought” One of the swat agents speaks up, his hand on his comas.
“Go, we’ll get him out of here” Rossi orders, nodding at Morgan and Prentiss.
“I can get myself out, go help Hotch” You wince a little, pulling away from Morgan's support.
“Not tonight (Y/n)” JJ smiles before wrapping her arm around you once more.
“We’ll see you on top” Prentiss smiles, squeezing your hand before following Morgan and the other agents out.
“You two should go help, I got this” You look down as you speak.
“No kiddo, we aren’t leaving you” Rossi smiles, before taking your arm, helping support you.
“We are never leaving you, ever” JJ chimes in, smiling sadly at you. You smile weakly at them before nodding.
“Then let's get the hell out of here” You declare, a small chuckle leaving you as you let them lead you out.
~~~
You never thought cold air would feel this good, you shiver uncontrollably as you sit on the back of the ambulance, watching your team and swat bring the boys up out of that hell. The normally empty field is filled with flashing lights from police cars and ambulances, your eyes scan the area as you wait for the two members of your team still yet to appear from down below.
“We saved those boys, we saved them!” Her screeching voice causes your eyes to flash over, spotting her in the custody of Morgan. Your eyes meet his and they are filled with anger and hatred, he smiles forcefully at you. Followed behind them is the man you hate the most, he stays quite his eyes scanning the area, stopping once he sees you a gut twisting laugh escapes him as he stares daggers at you.
“You're a waste of talent boy, should have killed you when you were just a kid boy” He screams at you, making Rossi yanking him forwards, his eyes darkening on the man in front of him. You don’t take your eyes off them until you watch them get put in separate police cars and the doors slam closed and their screaming stops. You take a deep breath and the air tastes more clean, a smile pulls at your lips as your eyes meet Rossi, his are filled with sympathy as yours fill with hope. It's over, it's over for good. You turn back to watch the entrance, watching the last few agents walk out, Reid walks out carrying a young boy aged seven in his arms. Your heart breaks as you see the boy cling to Spencer, the tear stained face, but then your heart soars, leaping to your feet as Aaron finally appears. You don’t care about the pain radiating throughout your body as you push your body forward, not caring about the tears sliding down as you focus on him.
“Aaron” You scream out, and he stops spinning around to look at you, his face fills with relief as he walks towards you, faster than his body could take him.
“(Y/n)!” He exclaims, watching as you fall to your knees as you reach him, falling forward into his arms. He lowers you both to the ground gently, his arms wrapped around your body firmly as your body shakes with sobs.
“It's okay, I got you, you're safe now” He strokes your hair as he comforts you, holding you closely. He whispers words of comfort as you cry into his chest, he holds you for a long time allowing you to let it all out.
You two sit there for a long time, even after all the tears have long dried.
“Hey we need to get you checked out” Aaron whispers as he runs his hand over your back.
“Stay with me?” Gulping thickly as you look up at him.
“Always” He smiles, kissing your forehead before taking your hand and pulling you up. “Always” He repeats as he leads you back to the ambulance where Emily and Rossi now wait.
“You two going up to the hospital?” Emily smiles softly, she can’t help but feel relieved every single time she looks at you.
“Yeah” You nod, leaning into Aaron's arm wrapped around you finding comfort in his touch.
“Good, I texted Garcia she's on her way there now, she's worried about you” Rossi adds, smiling lovingly at you.
“What.. Penelopes here.. Why?” You look up at Aaron confused only to watch his face fall.
“Because she cares for you, we all do it's why we are here” He smiles softly at you, before helping you into the ambulance, where the EMTs are waiting.
“Oh, right” You gulp a little, before sitting back down, your eyes staying on Aaron as he sits beside you.

Once you get to the hospital you don’t get time to have a break before you are wheeled straight into having x-rays and other tests. You are away from Aaron for hours, and it hurts they keep prodding you and questioning you, it's exhausting. Finally they take you to room, and you're alone, fear creeps into you as you wait for Aaron, your heart races faster every second you're alone.
“”Oh my gosh, you're here” She squeals as she runs into the room, her eyes brightening up as she spots you, rushing towards your side being careful not to touch you.
“Penelope” You breathe out, fresh tears sprouting to your eyes as you see the queen of sunshine. “Gosh I missed you” You let out a small whimper as you reach for her hand, her eyes widen before quickly capturing your hand in hers.
“Oh my love, I’m right here” She smiles at you before sitting down, never letting your hand go.
“Where's Aar?” You whisper, feeling groggy from all the drugs.
“He’s talking to the doctor first, sweetie, but that brings us to something” She smiles cheekily at you. “WheN did you start calling him Aar?”
“Before he kissed me” You chuckle softly, closing your eyes as exhaustion starts taking over. You never saw Garcia's mouth fall open, her eyes almost falling out.
“Um Garcia everything okay?” Hotcha asks as he walks in worry filling him instantly.
“Uh yep everything is fine sir” She quickly collects herself, smiling softly as she stands up. “But I should let him rest, you staying here tonight Hotch?”
“I will” Hotch smiles as he notices you still gripping Penelope's hand tightly.
“He's warming up” Penelope comments, glancing down at your hand.
“That he is” He smiles more, moving to your side, sliding his hand over yours, so you can finally let Penelope go.
“So is that why you two kiss?” Penelope can’t hold it back anymore as she makes her way to the door. Hotch's head shot up, catching her knowing look, he can’t help but smile back.
“Goodnight Penelope, keep that to yourself okay”
“Got it boss” She giggles as she leaves.
~~~
The next day goes by slowly, they keep taking you away for tests. Checking over your wounds and changing the bandages, it felt exhausting everyone kept asking you questions and dragging you away from Aaron. Why can’t they just let you rest, why can’t you just go home, all you want to do is go home and deal with the aftermath of this case. Finally the nurse wheels you back into your room, leaving you alone, you're not sure how long you have laid on your bed staring at the ceiling for. But the tears keep flooding your eyes as you realise the team now knows your deepest darkest secret, your job is in jeopardy and all you want is Aaron. Aaron to hold you, Aaron to tell you that everything will be okay, you know it's wrong to crave someone like this but you can’t help it. You aren’t ready to lose him, he won’t want you now that he knows how damaged you are, he won’t want you around his son now knowing what a cold blooded killer you used to be. You didn’t realise the machine beside you was beeping away until someone entered the room, making their way towards you urgently.
“(Y/n), you're okay” Aaron sits on the edge of your bed grabbing your hand, your eyes flash towards him. You're hyperventilating, gasping for air as you squeeze his hand, shaking your head as you try to speak.
“I can’t, can’t breath” You whimper softly, his eyes soften as he pulls you into his arms, rubbing your back gently.
“Listen to my heart beat darling, copy me okay” He speaks delicately, his voice as sweet as honey. “Deep breaths, in and hold for three seconds” He takes a deep breath, as you copy him. “And out” He blows out, smiling softly as you copy him. “Just like that darling, and again” He takes a deep breath, listening closely to you, falling silent as you work on your breathing.
“Thank you” Breathing out slowly, as you glance up at him with a tear stained face.
“Don’t need to thank me” He smiles lightly at you, laying down on your bed, pulling you with him. To his surprise you don’t argue instead you cuddle up to him, entwinding your fingers with his.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He murmurs, his free hand running through your hair.
“Yes, but not today” Sighing softly as you close your eyes, your mind finally feeling empty.
“That's okay, later then get some rest” He smiles a little as he takes in just how peaceful you look.
“Stay with me?” Your words mumble together as sleep takes you.
“Always” Hotch smiles, kisses your head softly.
~~~
The doctors finally discharge you and give you permission to fly, so now you and Aaron are on your way to the jet where you're meeting the rest of the team. You haven’t seen anyone since they reduced you, you know they are going to have questions and alot of them, but you don’t want to answer them, you just can’t. You’re staring out the window, lost in thought while Aaron drives, he can’t help but keep glancing at you, worrying about what's going on inside your mind.
“You want to talk about it?” Aaron asks, his eyes focusing on the road.
“The team is going to have questions” Sighing as you rest your head on the window, watching the world go by.
“They will, but you don’t have to answer them tonight” He replies, before adding. “They will wait as long as you need”
“What about Chief Strauss?” Looking over at him, as the anxiety of her questing and debriefing fills you.
“We will have to face that tomorrow morning” Aaron does everything in his power to keep his eyes on the road and not look at you, he doesn’t want to see that broken look in your eyes, because he knows if he does you two won’t make it to the jet.
“We?” Your voice is lower, he can barely hear you but he does.
“Yes we, Im not letting you face her alone, whatever happens we will deal with it together” He gives you a small confident filled smile.
“Thank you” You return that smile lightly, but it doesn’t meet your eyes, other things playing on our mind.
“What else is going on inside your mind tonight?”
“I…It’s nothing” Shaking your head as you look back outside.
“Whatever it is, I can help”
“Even if it's stupid?”
“Yes even then” Aaron chuckles softly, earning a small laugh from you.
“I don’t want to be alone tonight, normally I love it but the thought of going back to my apartment tonight, it's unsettling…” You struggle to find the words, ending up playing with your fingers as you speak. His hand reaches out capturing your hand with his, a smile slipping onto your lips as his fingers linking in with yours.
“You can stay with me tonight, whenever you like to” Aaron's voice is soft as he pulls up to the runway.
“Thank you Aar”
~~~
The flight goes by quickly, you and Aaron get there before the rest of the team so you drag him to the couch, settling in and accidentally falling asleep with your head resting against Aaron's chest before the rest of the team arrives. You somehow woke up halfway through the flight, the rest of the team also asleep, Aaron deep asleep with his arm wrapped firmly around you. You can’t help but smile, feeling safe in his embrace as you scan the jet, seeing the team all spread out sleeping and a guilty feeling starts to eat at you. How could you ever think they would leave you there, how could you think that hiding your past from them was a smart idea when things started turning south feels wrong now. But that's behind you now, and it may seem silly but you feel so much closer with them all, and knowing that you have to answer all their questions is something you no longer dread. Smiling to yourself as you snuggle back down, falling back asleep in Aarons arms, knowing at one point you’ll have to deal with the way your heart throbs with his touch.
“(Y/n) wake up” His voice is soft as he rubs your arm, trying to get you to wake up. Grumbling softly as your eyes slowly open, groaning quietly as your eyes adjust to the lighting, the jet is so bright but soon your eyes fall on Aaron, smiling sleepily at him.
“Hi” Yawning softly as you sit up, stretching a little.
“Sleep well there?” Derek smirks, sitting opposite you there.
“Like a peach” Chuckling softly as you see the team sitting opposite you.
“Sorry, we are about to land” Aaron smiles apologetically as you stiff back another yawn.
“Its fine”
“Here, It's also time for your meds” JJ adds, passing you over a bottle of water and your pills.
“Oh right, thanks JJ” You smile politely before taking them, swallowing down the pills and the water. You can feel the team's eyes on you, and the guilty feeling re enters you, slowly you pull the bottle away meeting the eyes of your team.
“Look I know you guys have questions—” You start, suddenly feeling defensive.
“We just want to know if you're okay?” Emily speaks, her eyes filled with concern that when you realise they don’t care about what you did, their looks are ones full of worry and concern a new feeling fills your chest. A small smile filled with love and affection fills your face as you think over your answer.
“Honestly no I'm not, I got a lot of healing to do a lot of things to work through, but give me time and I’ll be okay” You lean into Aaron as you answer, smiling a little.
“If you ever need anything, we are right here okay” Morgan smiles kindly at you.
“Just give me time and patience” You smile back at him, enjoying the way Aaron rubs your back in comfort.
“We can do that,” Rossi nods, giving you a light smile.
“Are you going to be okay at home, I know you don’t have a bed and its not good for you to rest up only on a couch” Reid adds in, staring at you with concern.
“You don’t have a bed?” JJ eyes almost fall out, giving you her best mum look, causing you to feel sheepish.
“Um no but i’ll be fine”
“Bullshoot, you will stay with me. I have a spare room” Garcia speaks up staring at you firmly, daring you to argue with her.
“Um I appreciate that, but I don’t need to”
“You are not sleeping on a couch” Emily shakes her head. “Its either my place or pens so pick”
“Look I appreciate it but I already have a place to stay” You smile shyly at them.
“Wait you have other friends” Morgan gasps dramatically. “Who?”
“Me” Aaron laughs at the shocked faces of the team, everyone but Rossi and Garcia.
“Huh, fine, can't argue with bossman then” Garcia smirks, looking away.
“That's settled then” Aaron smiles, before picking up his phone. “It's Strauss, she says we get the next few days off” Aaron smiles as his team cheers quietly.
“Does that mean we did a great job, or are we in trouble?” Rossi jokes, turning to Aaron.
“Both” Aaron half jokes, glancing down at you, feeling you tenses up.
~~~
ONE MONTH LATER.
You hadn’t seen the team since they all had dinner at Dave's house a few days after they got you back. It was a small celebration, you opened up them just a little bit, you all grew closer that night. Sadly the day you got back you were suspended pending an investigation, you talked with Strauss and she told you there wasn’t much she could do, because it was all out of her hands, but it didn’t matter to you because you had a plan. Today you finally found out what the decision is, and so after your meeting you head down to the BAU floor. Yes the team is out of town on a case, but luckily they are on their way home tonight and Dave is throwing another dinner tonight to celebrate the good news of yours. So you make your way to the one person you can’t wait to see anyway, because four weeks without seeing her beautiful smile is too long, you knock lightly on her door.
“Come in” She calls out, her voice full of happiness.
“Good afternoon Penelope” You smile as you push her door open, she gasps while spinning around in her chair, smiling up at you with excitement.
“It's youuu, you have come to see me” She exclaims, grinning up at you, climbing to her feet, holding out her hand for a small high five. It's your guys' small ways of saying hey, but instead you dismiss her hand, and pull her into a small hug.
“I missed you” Smiling softly as you feel her freeze only for her to quickly hug you back giving you a small squeeze. Penelope swears her face is going to fall off with how much she is smiling right now, she never imagined you would ever give her a hug and she can’t help but enjoy it. Closing her eyes as she soaks it in, holding herself back with the way she wants to squeeze you tightly.
“You're hugging me” She giggles, dancing just a little before you pull away, a big smile across your own face.
“That was okay, right?” Your smile falters a little as you double check with her.
“You can hug me whenever you like my love” She grins more. “But um what brought that on?”
“Well I want to be less scared of physical touch so I thought what better way to start working on it to give in and give a hug to someone I’ve been dying to” You shrug your shoulder, trying to act like its no big deal as your body tingles with the feeling of someone's else touch.
“That's a big step, I'm proud of you” Penelope smiles more at you, her heart soaring at the look of the new you. She knows she only saw you two weeks ago but you have changed even the energy around you. You cut your hair, it's more short now, and you look like you glow, there's a shine behind your eyes. You’re clearly sleeping more and eating regularly, looking after yourself is finally starting to sink in for you and she couldn’t be more proud.
“Thanks pen” Smiling back at her.
“So how did your meeting go?” she sits back down, as you grab her spare seat.
“It went really well, I can’t wait to tell everyone tonight at Dave's” You smile, enjoying her presents, soon you two just start catching up on everything that has been happening.
~~~
A soft knock on the door indicates that Aaron is here, smiling as you grab your phone making your way towards the door, opening it quickly glad to see both your boys there.
“Hi (Y/n)” Jack grins up at you, you can’t help but smile back as you bend down to give him a quick hug.
“Hey kiddo, oh I’ve missed you”
“You saw him the other day” Aaron teases as you pull away, smirking as you turn to him.
“What, is that your way of saying you didn’t miss me, Hotchner?” Smirking lightly as you tease him, enjoying the way he pulls you into a hug.
“Never” He chuckles softly, kissing your cheek lightly, sliding his hand into yours as he pulls away.
“Lets gooo, I wanna see Henry” Jack giggles as he leads you both down the hallway. You can’t help but laugh at him, he definitely does have his Dad's patience.
“We coming Jack” Smiling over at Aaron as you follow the boy closely.
“So the meeting with Strauss, how did it go?” Aaron asks you, glancing at you, his concern with how quiet you have been this afternoon growing. You were meant to text him, but he never heard from you.
“It went great, I’m no longer under investigation and i’m all clear to return” You smile slides away as you reach the car, Jack gets in leaving you two outside to talk freely.
“Are you still doing what we talked about?” Aaron speaks softly, his hand rubbing your arm softly as you lean against the car.
“I think It’s time Aaron, it's just going to be hard” You can’t help but sigh heavily as you lean into his touch.
“I know, but you need to do what's best for you and I will be right here beside you every step of the way” Aaron declares, smiling lovingly at you.
“I know, thank you and I mean it Aaron. You have been my rock the past few weeks” Smiling up at him.
“It's the least I can do, you need to know how much I care for you” Aaron smiles as he slides his hand gently on to your cheek, cupping your face gently as you lean in giving him a quick kiss.
“I appreciate it, now come on we need to go see our team” Smiling as you pull away from him, biting your lip as you climb into the car.
~~~
“You made it” JJ squeals softly as you walk in, you’re trailing behind Aaron and Jack. Jack is quick to run outside where Henry and half the team is.
“I did” Smiling lighty you walk over to her, Emily and Reid.
“How have you been?” Reid asks, smiling a little.
“I’m okay, so over resting all the damn time” Laughing softly, your heart melting with the comfort of being surrounded by your family.
“I remember that feeling, but you have to look after yourself” Emily gives you a stern look before sipping on her drink.
“Im trying” You reason, biting back a groan.
“We know, but we also know you” JJ smiles, a motherly look in her eyes.
“How did your meeting go today anyway, when are you coming back?” Emily presses on to her burning question, the one thing everyone tonight has been dying to now.
“Can we just wait until everyone is around, I don’t feel like repeating myself a million times” Forcing out  a chuckle as you watch the hope and excitement fade out of your three friends eyes.
“That bad huh?” JJ sighs, turning to the others.
“No, no it's not bad” You smile, glancing behind you at the incoming footsteps.
“Here, you don't have a drink yet” Rossi speaks from behind you, turning around smiling up at the man.
“Thanks Rossi” Taking it from him taking a deep breath as your fingers brush over his, glancing up you spot the rest of the team making their way over.
“So (Y/n), when are you getting your ass back” Derek grins up at you, Penelope and Aaron following him over.
“That's a complicated question” Sipping on your drink as you go over your answer, grateful to have Aaron coming to stand beside you. You can do anything with him beside you.
“What does that mean?” Penelope's eyes widen, fear entering her at the thought of her family breaking up.
“Look if Erin is giving you a hard time I will talk to her” Rossi automatically defends you, everyone's mind racing.
“No, Strauss isn’t the bad guy here, in fact she has been extremely helpful” Taking a deep breath before you continue. “I’m no longer under investigation, in face I’m welcome to return but I don’t want to, It’s my turn to move on, and look I know I owe you all so much for coming to my rescue, but I can’t do this job anymore I want to do something different with my life now” Your words come out filled with regret and guilt, your eyes full of sorrow as you talk, meeting everyone in your team's eyes. You have never felt closer and further away from them as you do right now, today is the start of a new beginning.
“You’re leaving us?” Garica's eyes tears up, her heart racing.
“Look, we understand why you want to leave, but is there anything we can say to make you stay?” Emily looks hopelessly at you, but a small proud smile pulls at her lips.
“Nothing, but hey I’m still going to be working at the FBI just not with the BAU anymore” You sigh, the feeling of sadness squishing your heart.
“I hope you know this doesn’t get you out of team nights still” Derek smiles at you, he knows how hard this decision was for you to make.
“Oh I know” Laughing softly.
“So what are you going to be doing instead?” Rossi smiles at you, a lovingly proud look in his eyes.
“I'm going to be the new FBI forensic scientist, so you guys will still have to work with me occasionally” Smiling at them, joy refilling the room.
“Oh, you’re taking over for Mary?” Garcia's face fills with excitement of course, she’s the one who works closely with that team more than the others.
“I am, so you guys can’t get rid of me that easily” The room fills with laughter once more.
“So that means you’re still coming to team nights right?” Reid asks. “You can’t just leave us all”
“Of course I will, plus” Smiling up at Aaron, catching his eyes his own smile grows as he gets the hint, his arm automatically wrapping around your waist as you lean into him. “Plus as your unit chiefs boyfriend I’ll be around more often” Pulling your eyes away from Aaron you glance around at the rest of the team, everyone's faces seem to be a mix of happiness and shock.
“Oh finally” Rossi cheers, laughing at the shocked looks around him.
“Wait, wait what” Morgan's open mouth slowly turns into a grin. “Seriously, you two thats awesome”
“Oh I knew there was something going on, I told you Emily” JJ smirks at Emily, who shakes her head smiling.
“Congrats you two” Emily smiles.
“That's so great, I'm happy for you both,” Reid smiles.
“Um Penelope, you're awfully quiet” You smile over at her, meeting her mischief filled eyes.
“I have been dying for you two too finally admit, I mean after you told me you kissed him months ago I have been waiting” She squeals.
“Wait, I told you, what, when?” Your eyes widen as you rack your brain trying to think.
“At the hospital when you were all drowsy from the medication” Aaron smirks down at you.
“And you didn’t tell me this, traitor” Smirking at him teasingly as you kiss his cheek, earning a bunch of awws and laughs fill the room as Aaron blushes deeply, which he returns with a stern glare at you.
The night slowly moves on, all full of laughter and chatter as the team all catches up and demands all the gossip on you and Aaron's relationship. Which you don’t mind at all talking about, happily opening up with your team. The only family you will ever only need by your side.

Somebody To Love - Part 6
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 AO3
Here we have it everyone! I hope you enjoy. This part includes Eddie's addict brain trying to trip him up, so if that might be a trigger for you, keep yourself safe.
Eddie was six months clean by the time Wayne flew back to Indiana. He would have flown back sooner, around the four month mark but temptation had reared its ugly head and Eddie broke the lock on his bathroom door, intentionally trapping himself inside and away when he’d found one stray pill under the rug in his studio space.
He was alone.
No one was home.
No one would be home for hours.
Wayne was halfway across the city, Steve was at his own home, Chrissy was at a modelling gig, the boys were with their families.
It was a terrible, opportunistic coincidence.
The pill was tiny and white, covered in floor dirt and bits of hair, but it would go down easy enough. He’d be able to dry swallow it in less than a second. It was small enough. He could just take it and he’d probably pass for sober by the time they came back.
He had it in his hand.
No one would know.
No one would ever know.
His hand was completely frozen, almost on another plane of existence. He couldn’t move. A part of him was banging against the cage doors telling him to just take it. He’d taken worse things before, this would be nothing. He was strong enough now to not spiral again. This was just one, not nearly the worst thing he’d ever done.
He’d promised to be good and he had been good. So why couldn’t he have this one thing?
Another part of him was firmly trying to keep the cage locked.
Think of Wayne.
Think of the boys.
Think of Chrissy.
Think of Steve.
Why should they get to judge him for making decisions about his own body, the beast cried out. He was his own person, this was his own life, who the fuck were they to try and make him do these things, take it!
They didn’t make him do anything. He made that decision on his own. They were supporting him through his own decision. Not forcing him to do anything. They were supporting him. He said he’d change. He promised.
Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Eds.
The beast repeated Steve’s words back to him, twisting and poisoning them. Steve didn’t think he could do this anyway so why was he bothering?
No.
No!
No!
Eddie bit his tongue hard enough to draw blood and the pain shocked him into action.
He threw the pill across the room.
He didn’t know where it landed, he didn’t want to know.
He’d run up the stairs as fast as he could, putting as much physical distance in between himself and that fucking pill as it was possible to do.
And he’d called Wayne, who’d called Steve.
It was maybe an hour later when the bathroom door was finally broken down and Wayne crawled into the empty tub with him and just held him while he wept quietly into his chest.
Steve appeared in the doorway some time later, letting him know it was gone and that Eddie would be spending a few nights with him and Robin while professionals came in to clear the house top to bottom, just in case.
Because there was a service for that apparently.
This was LA after all.
Of course there was a service dedicated to quietly, covertly and methodically going through luxury houses to remove every last trace of temptation.
Of course there was.
It was another thing entirely to fully realise just where he’d be staying.
Staying with Steve wasn’t an issue, they practically lived together whenever they went on tour anyway. They knew all of each other's habits, their quirks, their weird rituals. And he’d been to Steve’s house plenty of times so it wasn’t that either.
It was having to live in the space of one Robin Buckley.
Steve’s Chrissy.
He hadn’t met her very often, they just never tended to cross paths but whenever they did, Eddie got the distinct impression that she really, really didn’t like him.
Though if he was in Robin’s position, watching everything he’d ever put Steve through… He probably wouldn’t like himself much either.
Steve had been running interference on them for two whole days, trying to stop Robin’s glares and snappy comments and trying to stop Eddie from retaliating too dramatically. Because if it’s one thing Eddie was terrible at, one major, major character flaw he had, it was holding his tongue around someone who did not like him.
But Steve had to leave them alone eventually.
He was half way out the front door, begging the two of them not to murder each other while he was gone.
Robin crossed her arms and shot daggers in Eddie’s direction. “Non prometto niente.”
“Ti imploro.” Steve checked his watch again before raising his eyes back to Robin.
Eddie rolled his eyes. “Now you two are just being rude.”
“Cazzo.” She spat at him.
“Robin!” Steve rubbed at his temples before pointing at her. “Play. Nice.” Without another word he slammed the door behind him, the sound echoing around them as they stood on opposite sides of the open plan house, like it was high noon in one of Wayne’s old westerns.
“Okay. Let's get it all out, Buckley now that the parent is gone." Eddie spread his arms out in front of him. "What precisely is your fucking issue with me?”
“My fucking issue is that I don’t like you,” Robin snapped, “that’s my fucking issue.”
"I'm gonna need you to be more specific than that,” Eddie snapped right back, “plenty of people don't like me."
"Shocking." She widened her eyes in mock surprise.
He gave her the middle finger. "Is it just the Steve thing or are there other reasons?"
She scoffed. "There's no 'just' with what you did to him."
"You can't be stupid enough to think that I meant it like that."
"Jesus you're a real charmer aren't you?"
“I get it, I was a shitty person, to Steve especially, but-”
“No!” She shouted, cutting her hand through the air. “You don’t fucking get it. You really don’t fucking get it, Munson, because you weren’t there. You have no idea what all kinds of hell you put that man through for years, but I do. I was there for it all.”
“Of course I have no idea!” He threw his hands up. “How could I possibly have known?!”
“How could you possibly not have known?! Everyone knew how he felt and all you ever did was rub it in his face-”
“I didn’t rub anything! I wouldn’t have if I’d known but I didn’t! How the hell was I supposed to know?!”
“Are you blind?!” They had taken a few steps closer but the couch was still between them. Eddie guessed it was the only thing stopping her from tearing into him with her teeth. “You need something like that spelled out to you?!”
“Oh, I’m sorry, is that not a reasonable request? To be told what someone’s feeling with grown-up words and not have to navigate a minefield of guessing what’s going on in their head?” His legs bumping against the couch was the only indicator to him that he’d moved closer. “How was I supposed to know I needed to look deeper? Am I supposed to go around examining everyone’s motivations for a deeper meaning now? Try to see into their heads rather than trust the things they tell me? That makes no sense! I’m not fucking psychic, why am I expected to be? You know as well as I do that he hid this from me. He never told me!”
“Don’t you put this on him. Don’t you dare-!” She was leaning over the back of the couch now to jab him in the chest.
“I’m not!” He had his hands gripping in his hair by the scalp and he could feel the lump in his throat but he refused to cry in front of her. “But tell me I’m wrong, Buckley. Go on! Tell me I’m not making sense right now!”
Robin huffed. “You’re wrong and you’re not making sense right now.” There wasn’t much conviction behind it. She pulled her finger back from his chest and crossed her arms with a scowl. “Maybe if you weren’t so fucked up on everything all the time-”
“Oh, spare me. Don’t start on the puritan talk just because you know I’m right-”
“I am not-!”
“Okay, fine!”
He ripped his hands out of his hair and felt like everything inside him was crumbling before he could stop it. He’d done everything he could, he’d kicked the drugs, he kicked the drink, he hadn’t had any sex since the ‘Sucker’ video, he was letting Steve decide how fast they moved, even when they moved and where to… what else was he supposed to do? He was at the end of his fucking rope.
“Let’s examine that then, shall we? Do you think that if I knew that I had someone in my corner in that way, that I had someone I could come home to or- or be there with me in my lowest moments, that could help take the pressure off, that I felt safe with… do you think I wouldn’t have delighted in having a steady fucking thing for the hardest years of my life? People don’t do the amount of shit that I’ve done because they’re fucking happy, Robin!”
He turned his back on her to collapse down on the couch with his head in his hands, trying to force his tears to retreat. His whole body felt weak, like he’d been wrung out and he really hoped she didn’t take the opportunity to crack him over the back of the head with something.
The only thing that could be heard in the ringing silence of the house was his own heavy breathing as he tried to keep his emotions under control.
A weight settled down next to him and he thanked his lucky stars he was able to stop from flinching. He didn’t want to look up, the tears clinging to his waterline that he hadn’t managed to fight back would be undeniable, but as the quiet continued to extend around them he couldn’t ignore it.
Robin wasn’t looking at him, thank god. She was curled up as far away from him as she could get with her back to the couch arm, her knees pulled up against her and she was scowling in the direction of the tv.
It must have been nearly a full minute later when she spoke. In that time Eddie had to pull the bottom of his t-shirt up to wipe at his eyes and sniffle everything back and he was fully prepared to execute a frosty retreat to the guest room he’d been using.
“Fine.” Robin bit out. When Eddie looked over, she cut her eyes in his direction but quickly averted them again.
“Fine, what?” He cringed at the thickness in his own voice. He didn’t even have the energy to bite back, he just sounded petulant.
“Fine, you’re a miserable fuck.”
He scoffed. “Great. Thanks for your input.”
“You didn’t let me finish.”
“You didn’t want to finish, you left a dramatic pause in there on purpose.”
Her frown only got deeper. “Fine, you’re a miserable fuck but you’re not wrong.” She raised her hand to her mouth and started to pick at some dry skin on her lip. “It’s not on you to read minds.”
Eddie nodded.
The tv wasn’t even on but she was still staring at it like it was. After another few moments of silence he turned, mirroring her position. “I am trying, Robin. Ever since it properly hit me I’ve been trying.”
“I know.” She sighed heavily, exasperated and slumped lower into the couch. “So he’s been telling me. And to be honest, I can see it.” She glanced back at him again. “Last time I saw you before this you looked like some strung out, coked up skeleton. Now you look,” she waved her hand around in his direction, “like you’ve got actual blood in your veins and not just Xanax and vodka. I just wish Steve didn’t need to get stepped on for you to get there.”
“I wasn’t stepping on him on purpose. If I’d have known… all of this would have happened a lot sooner.”
“Yeah.” She heaved herself up from the couch and grabbed the remote. “Put on a movie. I’d like to keep this little stalemate of ours going at least until Steve gets back. Might help him relax a little bit. Maybe not get a coronary. But pick well,” she threw herself back down and stared him dead in the eye, “don’t make me hate you again.”
Eddie didn’t end up picking a movie, he ended up picking a tv show but either way it ended up being a winner because Sense8 was always a winner. At least that was until it actually started because…
“This show is so fucking horny, man.”
Eddie just shrugged. “It’s a good show.”
“And what are you gonna do if Steve walks in while you’re watching two men fucking on tv?”
Eddie's heart stopped and his face flooded. It wasn’t that he thought Steve would judge him or it would set their progress back or whatever. It was that Steve would be standing there while very, very, super-duper, gay, gay, gay shit was happening in front of his eyes.
Robin snickered next to him just as the key sounded in the lock and a shout of “No one better be dead!” preceded Steve’s entrance.
The phone nearly flew out of Eddie’s hand as he made a frantic scramble to skipskipskip.
Steve stopped dead at the sight of the two of them sitting on the couch, not touching but also not hissing at each other like feral cats. Eddie with what was probably a red face and his phone clutched tight in his hand while Robin tried her best to hide her smile.
“What’s going on here?” Steve asked, wary eyes bouncing between them.
“Nothing!” They both answered at the same time with vastly different inflections. Robin sounded light and jovial while Eddie squeaked, trying to conceal his panic.
“Right…” Steve gave them both a final look before he turned towards the kitchen. “Whatever happened here, I don’t want to know. I’m just glad the two of you haven’t ripped each other's hair out.”
Once he had completely disappeared around the corner Eddie turned his glaring eyes to Robin who had the biggest shit-eating grin on her face.
“You were no help.”
“Yeah? Get used to it.”
Tumblr media
That fucking song wouldn’t leave his head and he didn’t know why.
Well that was a fucking lie.
Eddie knew exactly why this fucking song wouldn’t leave him alone.
Freddie fucking Mercury was haunting him from beyond the grave.
He could almost hear him, see him out of the corner of his eye. Sitting cross legged, an arm across the back of the couch as Eddie strummed on his guitar. That grin on his face. Drawling out “You’ll get it soon, darling.”
It wasn’t even like it was a hard song to cover.
On guitar anyway.
Vocally was a whole different story. If anyone even thought of singing Freddie Mercury's pieces, figures would materialise out of the woodwork advising it was a bad idea. People just didn’t cover Queen. It was too difficult to do.
Freddie had a vocal range almost unmatched. He could switch keys effortlessly and often. He was iconic. Still is iconic. And almost everyone who had tried wasn't able to match up to the legend.
God, why was he doing this to himself?
A weight dipped the couch cushion next to him and Eddie nearly jumped out of his skin, almost firing his guitar across the room, convinced for half a second that Freddie Fucking Mercury had actually manifested next to him.
But the arm that was now across the back of the couch wasn't Freddie's.
"Jesus, Steve." Eddie clutched at his chest. "Warn a guy."
"You seemed very far away." Steve leaned his head against his hand with a small smile on his face. He was so pretty.
"Not that far.” Eddie shrugged. “Just a dimension or two."
“Seems pretty far.”
“Freddie’s just haunting me is all.” He said as he got up to place his guitar back in her stand along the wall with her sisters, throwing himself back down on the couch with an oof.
“Oh, tell him hi from me then.” Steve reached down, grasping Eddie under the knees and pulling his legs into his lap, causing Eddie to slip down the arm of the couch as his body was pulled forward, leaving only his head propped up at what must have been an incredibly unflattering angle.
“You could’ve just asked.” Eddie wrenched himself up to a sitting position, planting his arms behind him and refusing to think about the fact that if he wiggled his way forward just a little more he’d be pressed right up against Steve, fully in his lap.
As it was, the backs of Eddie’s thighs were pressed against Steve’s and that was enough to kick his heart up a few notches.
Steve looked down at his legs, plucking at an old cigarette burn in the knee of Eddie’s sweatpants. They were good pants despite the hole. Soft and comfy and he did really mean to stitch it up but he kept getting distracted and then suddenly it was five years later and that same burn kept looking at him.
“You’re doing really well, you know.” Steve said in a quiet voice, staring at Eddie’s knees like they contained the answers to the universe.
Eddie tipped his head back until it hung between his shoulders and he groaned at the ceiling. “The guitar part is easy. It’s the vocals that are-”
“No,” Steve squeezed his knee, “no I don’t mean that, I mean your… your self improvement. Your getting healthy. Your-”
“Oh my god.” Eddie snapped his head back up, staring at Steve with wide hopeful eyes while his breathing got shallower. Steve had a light blush across his cheeks and was continuing to keep eye contact with the knees in front of him. “Is it happening, like is it really happening? Are you giving me a chance, are you-”
“Eddie.” Steve admonished, trying to pull his mouth into a scowl but his face was getting redder and the corner of his lips were lifting up of their own volition. “How are you such a pain in the ass? I had a whole speech planned about all the hard work you’ve put in and how dedicated you’ve been and how rough it’s all been for you but you’ve still persevered-”
“Right, sorry!” Eddie wanted to wave his hands in front of him but they were the only thing keeping him upright so he just nodded like a lunatic. “Sorry! Go ahead.”
Steve rolled his eyes and scoffed but was smiling now. “I can’t just go ahead. Especially now. I was gonna come down here and act all calm and cool and suave and deliver this great speech about how much it’s meant that you did all of this for me. For me?” Steve huffed and pinched his nose, his voice coming out a little shakier than before. “People don’t do things like this for me. And you stuck it out. You’ve kept going even during the hard days and there’ve been some really hard days. I know. I’ve seen them but you kept going and I’m so proud of you. Eddie, I’m so fucking proud. So yeah. I had a whole plan.”
Steve finally looked at him, his eyes were shining and his cheeks were still red but he was managing to pull himself back into his vaguely bitchy and disapproving façade that they both knew was fake but if Steve needed it to give him some strength Eddie would give it to him.
Eddie would give him everything.
“I had to call Robin twice to hype me up and it still took me a half an hour to get down the stairs. Then I do come down the stairs and you’re sitting there, looking like that." Eddie glanced down at himself.
Like what? He was in ratty tatty sweatpants and an old dark henley that might have originally belonged to Steve but he honestly couldn’t remember. He was in fuzzy socks and his hair looked like a bird's nest because he just wanted it washed and couldn’t be bothered to go though the whole curly girl thing Chrissy and Robin were trying to push him into.
He just looked like Eddie.
“And you’re playing that song, trying to sing that song, my song and I couldn’t-” Steve clenched his eyes closed again, reaching his hand out blindly and Eddie shot forward, snatching Steve’s hand up in his own, leaning towards Steve so his centre of gravity was no longer behind him and holding Steve’s hand tight to his chest.
Steve would be able to feel Eddie’s runaway heart under his ribs but he didn’t care. In fact he hoped he could. He hoped it would let Steve know he wasn’t the only one who was scared out of his mind right now.
“Do you-” Steve gulped, opening his eyes again. “Do you still-”
“Yes, I still. I very still.” Eddie squeezed his hand tighter, pulled it harder into his chest, like he wanted Steve to touch his raw and bloody heart with his bare hands.
“Really? Even now? Even though… even after…?”
“Stevie.” Eddie whispered, heart breaking. “Do you think now that I’m sober I wouldn’t want you anymore?”
When Steve just shrugged Eddie couldn’t help himself. He reached a hand out, brushing his knuckles against Steve’s cheek before thumbing a tear away.
“All of this. Everything has been for you.” Eddie kept his voice low, trying to inject as much love as he could into the tone of his voice while he kept stroking Steve’s cheek. “It’ll continue to be for you as long as I live. Now that I know what I know, I don’t think there’s any going back for me. There hasn’t been for a while. I’ve been miserable for so long, hiding underneath substances and sex and denial that I forgot what it was like to even feel… neutral. I didn't know my own heart and you… you allowed me to be able to feel it again."
“Eddie… d’you- can I- can-”
“Do you want to kiss me?”
“Yes.” Steve almost sighed, relaxing like the weight of the world had just been gently lifted from his shoulders.
“C’mere.”
Eddie moved his hand from Steve’s cheek, curling his fingers around the back of his neck.
He pulled Steve forward and despite the thundering of his heart in his chest he had only intended it to be a short press of lips, an assurance, a comfort.
As soon as he kissed Steve, Eddie knew for certain that this was it for him. He was done for. He never wanted to kiss anyone else as long as he lived.
He’d never been kissed with so much emotion, with so much feeling. It enveloped his entire body. Any emotions that had previously been attached to kissing, he realised with sudden clarity, were just a general feeling of wild hornyness, crushing on someone, liking someone, being attracted to someone.
All those were there when kissing Steve but there was so much more.
There was so much love and compassion and it was just so easy. They could have been doing this for years and Eddie found himself already mourning all the time that had previously been lost. He mourned who he used to be, the previous Eddie who had just been kissed out of existence despite his slow death over the last few months. The previous Eddie who’d thought that that life was the best it could ever get.
The poor bastard.
The kiss was wet and not exactly in a sexy way, Steve’s tears mingling between their mouths. Despite how it started, chaste and innocent and assuring, it didn’t stay that way even though Eddie had the best of intentions.
Steve’s hand was at the back of his head, holding him close, trapping him in the best way as he leaned over him. Eddie felt his knee get batted out of the way and his legs pushed open as Steve settled between them, laying Eddie back on the couch and pressing him down as his tongue bullied its way into his mouth. Steve was well and truly steering this ship and Eddie was just happy to be along for the ride.
If Eddie’s eyes had been open they’d have rolled back in his head.
“Stevie,” Eddie croaked as his neck was being attacked by little nips and sucks that were making it very hard to think, “are you in the right headspace for this?”
Steve paused for a moment before pulling back to shoot him an incredulous look, hovering over him on those strong arms. “You’re asking me if I’m in the right headspace for something maybe sexual? How often have you been in the right headspace when you’ve done sexual things in the past?”
Eddie frowned. “Not very often, which is why I’m asking now.”
The line over Steve’s brow softened and he leaned down to place a kiss against Eddie’s forehead and damn there were those butterflies again.
“Do you want me to stop?”
Eddie shook his head, a little more emphatically than he needed to. “No.”
“Do you want me?”
“I- yes. God, baby, I don’t want anyone else ever again.”
“Okay, good.” Steve leaned down again until he was a breadth away. "Can I continue then?"
So, like…
Eddie hadn't done anything in the last six months besides use his own hand.
And maybe some toys.
But he hadn't had a good fuck, hadn't had a good suck in six months after having multiple of each every week for years. In hindsight it had all been frighteningly close to some kind of sex addiction.
But still, six months.
That was to say when Eddie nodded and Steve leaned back down with that smirk of his, it was like he knew.
Knew that when he rolled his hips down like that Eddie was at risk of blowing his load in less than ten seconds.
“Don’t care,” Steve moaned into his mouth, “don’t care if it’s quick. Don’t care. I wanna see.”
And as embarrassing as it was, that’s what did it.
Steve telling him he wanted to see him.
Eddie came with a cry, only barely able to coherently get half the man’s name out of his mouth. It took him longer than usual to float back into his body and even then he was still a little fucked out. Six months. He scrambled to stick his hand down Steve’s pants. This he knew. This he could practically do with his eyes closed. It only took a few minutes for Steve to follow with his mouth hanging open and a beautiful little scrunch in his brow.
“Oh shit.” Eddie sunk back into the cushions. “Don’t think I’ve come in my pants since I was sixteen.”
“I’m flattered.” Steve smiled, peppering kiss over his cheeks, his nose, his forehead.
“You should be.” Eddie smiled back, leaning into the easy affection he was being showered with with so much joy.
“Um,” Steve hesitated, still pressing Eddie into the couch with his body weight but up on his elbows, fiddling nervously with his hair, “just so we’re clear on-”
“I’m with you. If you want.” He slung his arms around Steve’s neck. “We can be a thing. In a relationship. Boyfriends. Partners. All of the above. I’m yours for as long as you want me.”
“Hmm.” Steve tried to give a nonchalant shrug. “That could be a very long time.”
“I’m okay with that.” Eddie leaned up, making sure to seal it with a kiss.

Six Months Later
“So… here’s the thing.” Steve wedged himself in behind Eddie, legs on either side and pulling him back against his chest while Eddie tapped away on his game controller, swinging from building to building.
Eddie settled back, allowing his body to relax but keeping his eyes on the screen. “Mhm?”
“You remember the Sucker music video?” Steve nuzzled his nose into Eddie’s hair.
“Ugh.” Eddie couldn’t watch it. It had come out while Steve was on vacation the first time and Eddie hadn’t wanted to look at the guy who’d potentially destroyed one of the most important relationships in his life.
Nowadays he was almost tempted to send the bitch a fruit basket. Sex with you helped me find love with someone else. Something like that.
“Right, well you know how there wasn’t enough footage for that gory online exclusive cut?”
“A tragedy, really.”
“Yeah. But the label is looking to release something small before you all start writing again, keep interest up and I was talking to the boys-”
“You were plotting with the boys.”
Steve nodded, tightening his arms for just a moment. “I was plotting with the boys and we were thinking why don’t we do some reshoots to get enough footage together and release it?”
Eddie had to pause the game and twist around. “Sweetheart, tell me you are not suggesting we contact whatever the fuck his name was and I go film with him again?”
Steve looked scandalised. “No! Jesus, no. That’s not what I’m suggesting. I’m… well we were thinking that maybe you could film it with… me.”
Eddie turned completely, planting himself over Steve’s lap and grinning down at him. “Oh yeah?” He leaned in, ghosting his lips over Steve’s cheek, coming to a stop right by his ear. “You wanna be my victim, baby?”
“I get bitten by you enough, I might as well-” Steve gasped as Eddie sunk his teeth into his neck, sucking at the skin. “-might as well get paid for it.” He rolled his hips up and any logistical talk of the video shoot completely flew out the window.
Three weeks later and the video had been released. It was filthy, it was disgusting, it was downright sexy even if that fake blood still tasted like shit.
Though Steve didn’t really have a problem with his face being in the video, he was mostly kept anonymous.
Quick close up flashes of his open panting mouth before a hand was clapped over it then his neck gushing blood while Eddie practically bathed in the spray. A shot of Steve’s chest as the clothes were ripped from him, a hand tugging harshly at the hair. Then red dripping handprints over his stomach and black tipped fingers pushing his knees apart and Eddie’s hand running through his hair, leaving blood streaked in its wake, were all that was seen of him.
People went fucking wild for it. It broke through to mainstream news, which Corroded Coffin hadn’t managed to do for a while.
Christian moms were scandalised.
Conservative men were outraged.
Social media was thirsty.
And Steve was starting to get offers.
Tumblr media
Even though he wasn’t really identifiable, people in the industry who’s job it was to know these things started sending him offers for modelling jobs or acting jobs. Though Steve had originally not given them a second look, now he was starting to look.
They’d both agreed that ethically Steve couldn’t really continue on as his P.A. anymore. The thought had once scared the everloving shit out of Eddie but now… now it was okay, because Steve was Eddie’s and Eddie was Steve’s.
Two Years Later
God, he loved being on stage. It was such a rush. How had he been doing it in an altered state for so long?
It was their first tour since all of everything with Steve had happened.
Nearly a year and a half since he’d had to get a new personal assistant.
Nancy was like some weird mix in between Steve and the other two, Dustin and Max.  Like Steve, she knew how to handle executives and businessmen like she was speaking a second language. She was loyal to a fault. She was small and sweet looking. People didn’t keep their guard up around her. That would be their first mistake.
There was one very memorable instance where an overly eager and quite frankly stupid paparazzo had managed to sneak onto Eddie’s property.
It was rumoured that the new up and coming heartthrob of indie rom-coms was allegedly the live-in boyfriend of a controversial metal singer and this idiot was sure he could get the scoop.
What he hadn’t been expecting was Nancy Wheeler in her white frilly blouse and baby blue dress pants popping him on the nose and swinging her sensible heeled foot in between his legs.
It had all been caught on security footage.
Eddie had the screenshots framed and Nancy now had them hung behind her desk in the office she had in his house.
Like Dustin and Max, she’d worked with Steve in the past. She was an absolute wizard when it came to organisation, she didn’t treat him like a mythical entity and she could see past the big bad image to the soft squishy human underneath.
She had a bit more trouble articulating things when it came to emotion but her intentions were never bad.
Though Eddie and Steve didn’t have an employer/employee relationship anymore, the relationship they did have had only blossomed.
Apparently they were sickening to be around, but Eddie couldn’t really find it within himself to care. He loved his boy so why would he hide it when they were amongst friends?
Robin was forced to eat her words soon enough, which Eddie found great satisfaction in, and reminded her of it often, when he’d introduced her to Chrissy.
Those two were just as bad as he and Steve.
Eddie gave his thanks to the crowd and jogged off to the wings where Steve was waiting with a bottle of water that he nearly drowned himself with, trying to swallow it all down in one go.
Steve just rolled his eyes, making sure to stay out of sight of the crowd as he did it. Neither of them really cared if they got caught red handed with each other but if they could avoid the media circus, they would.
Steve wanted to make a name for himself on his own.
“You don’t have to do this, Eds.”
Eddie nodded. “I know.”
“It’s a big risk.” Steve continued with his hands on his hips.
“I know.” He handed the bottle back to Steve. “But I said I'd do it, didn't I?”
“You did, but you can always pull out.”
“Baby, I never pull out.”
“That's a fucking lie.”
It was Eddie’s turn to roll his eyes now. “Just sit back and enjoy the show, sweetheart.”
Steve gave his ass a squeeze. “Always do.”
Eddie pinched his cheek before turning and jogging back out to centre stage amongst the cries of encore from the crowd.
“Alright, alright.” He spoke into the mic. “One more song for you all. Um,” the nerves were coming in hard and fast now as he glanced behind him towards the other members who gave him encouraging nods.
Well of course they didn’t need to be nervous.
They weren’t singing the damn thing.
Eddie turned back to the crowd as a stage hand came out and handed him his guitar. “I gotta be honest with you all, I’m scared shitless of performing this song. You might be wondering what that’s been doing here all this time.”
He pointed over at the piano that had been sitting quietly in a corner, unused for the whole show.
The audience ooohed and cheered.
“Unfortunately I can’t play, but Jeff here is multi-talented.” Jeff handed his guitar off and took his seat at the piano, tapping on a few keys before giving Eddie the thumbs up.
“People get crucified for covering this band. It’s just not done.” There was chattering starting up in the crowd as they started to speculate. “No one can get close to what this man had, but god damn it, there’s someone special out there who I want to do this for. They’re his favourite band and this is his favourite song and based on your reaction I think some of you already know what I’m about to fucking do. Shit.” He sighed into the mic. “This is Her Majesty. Queen.”
Eddie had no hope of being able to improvise or vamp like Freddie once had and he would never even attempt to try. So as the first piano notes played out over the speakers he opened his mouth and started to sing.
They'd practised this song to death. The whole band was adamant that if they were going to do this they were going to do it right. They guys had practised their high backing vocals for weeks. Eddie had rehearsed the song for months.
There was no way he was going to do Freddie dirty.
By the time he’d gotten to Brian May’s guitar solo he was able to move around a little and get a good look at the crowd.
His eyes landed on a mess of long dirty blond hair and he felt his mouth drop open.
“Holy shit.” He muttered to himself.
Julian beamed up at him, his arms wrapped around a little twink of a man with a shock of black hair wearing a battle vest that if memory served, had definitely belonged to Julian last they’d met.
“Danny?” Eddie mouthed at him.
Julian’s responding nod was elated as he squeezed Danny against him tighter. Danny himself looked completely shell shocked while something was whisper-shouted into his ear over the music.
Eddie wanted to fucking jump for joy.
With a glance back into the wings, he saw Steve muttering to Nancy, gesturing out towards them. When he looked up and caught Eddie’s eye he tilted his head in question.
You wanna bring them back?
Eddie nodded, just barely catching sight of Nancy disappearing off somewhere before he turned back to finish out the song with a bang, sending one last wink Julian’s way before the lights went down.
When he opened the door to his green room, it was to the sight of Robin trying to adjust her top and Chrissy pulling her skirt back down, both red faced and breathing heavily.
“Can’t you two go find a bathroom or a maintenance closet or something? This is my room! I’m supposed to be the one doing sexy things back here.”
“We lost track of time!” Robin said with crossed arms.
Eddie stuck his hands on his hips. “Surely the sudden lack of loud music should have tipped you off that the concert was over?”
“We were distracted.” Chrissy shrugged, looking completely unapologetic.
“Well go be distracted somewhere else, I’ve got guests coming back.”
“Who?” They asked at the same time.
“An old friend.”
Just then the door behind him was opened.
Nancy gestured Julian through, who had a huge smile on his face, pulling Danny along by the hand who looked like he was about to faint.
Eddie surged forward, catching Julian up in a crushing hug while he laughed.
“You got your man!” He cried, practically bouncing the two of them.
“I got my man!” Julian squeezed back before extricating himself from Eddie’s arms, pulling Danny forward and tucking him in under his arm. “Eddie, this is Danny Aguilar. Danny this-”
“Hi! I- uh… yeah, I um. I know you. I mean I don’t know you. I mean I know who you are…” Danny stuttered out and before Eddie could even say anything, Nancy was at his side with a small smile and a bottle of water that he took with shaking hands.
“It’s really cool to meet you, man. I’ve heard great things.” Eddie smiled at him but that only seemed to freak him out more so he decided to give the guy a break, turning his attention back to Julian who was rubbing small circles on Danny’s back.
“So tell me, how did this happen?” Eddie asked, pointing between the two of them.
“Well,” Julian gave Danny a squeeze while he took a large drink. “It was the rumours about you actually.”
Eddie snorted. “Which ones?”
“The ones about you shacking up with some guy named Steve who may or may not be the same Steve who’s been making a name for himself.” Julian raised a brow at him. “I figured that even if they weren’t true, I’d seen you get your shit together, get sober, get healthy and it made me think I could do that too. Only one life to live, you know?”
“That’s amazing.” Eddie smiled. “I’m so happy for you, man.”
Julian blushed. “Thanks. What about you?” He asked. “If you tell me that it didn’t work out after I said all of that I’m gonna feel like a giant asshole.”
“No, I-” He felt an arm slide over his shoulders.
“I think it worked out okay.” Steve grinned at him and Eddie felt like he was falling in love all over again. “I hear you were the only one to actually say it out loud to him, so I guess I have you to thank for this.” Steve tugged on one of his curls and Eddie batted his hand away, only to grab it again and hold on tight.
“Oh shit. Really?” Julian looked between them with wide eyes.
Danny was looking at him like he’d hung the moon.
“Yeah, really. Listen, I was thinking. We have a private space booked at a restaurant for the band and the crew and the lesbians,” Steve waved his hand in Robin and Chrissy’s direction who’d fallen into quiet conversation but now just shot him matching middle fingers, “we’d love it if you wanted to come along. Let us treat you two? As a proper thank you for helping this idiot get his shit together.”
Steve pulled him in tight and Eddie just melted.
Julian was nodding enthusiastically.
And poor Danny.
Poor Danny could only squeak in agreement.
Thank you for coming with me on this journey and I hope you've loved it as much as I have. 🖤

An Accident
l west winds au l dad!trevor l masterlist l
I have a feeling people are going to be mad at me for this ... also there are warnings car accidents.
Tumblr media
When driving to the game on March 19th things went a little haywire.
Trevor drove separate from Bean because he was planing on going out with some friends after the game to celebrate his birthday the next day.
Bean had picked Zephyr from Mia and Jamie's on her way to the game. It had taken her a little longer because Zephyr wanted her to pick some Reese's peanut butter cups up from the story so he could give one their friend Matt.
"How was school Zeph?" Bean asked as they sat in the car waiting in traffic. Although the drive to Anaheim wasn't very long, but sometimes there was traffic especially on game days making the drive longer.
"Good! We painted pictures, and Jojo said he liked my jersey. I told him it was my daddy jersey!" Zephyr ate his snack and recalled what he all did at the school that day.
Bean smiled listening to all her eldest baby had to say. She felt a little flutter in belly right in the spot where the new baby would be sitting and rubbed the spot.
While she was focused on the road ahead, a car on the opposite side of the road came toward them at a fast speed. The initial hit took her by complete surprise.
But it didn't stop with the one hit, by the time her car stopped getting smashed there were multiple cars involved with the vehicle the mother and son were most likely got the brunt of the impact.
"Mommy" Zephyr cried out for his mother. He had no idea what was going on. There were a lot of loud noises and then it had just stopped and his arm hurt and it was all so scary and confusing for the three year old.
"Zephyr, baby, hey. I'm right here. Mommy's here" Bean called out still in the front seat. Her whole body felt like it was on fire and it was getting hard to breathe. Also it felt like there a few droplets of blood rolling down her face "Zeph? I need you to be really brave right now. okay? Can you do that for mommy?"
She tried to reach her arm around the front seat to reach out for him, but she found she completely pinned in place, she couldn't move. What was worse was that her vision started to get a bit fuzzy and her eyes were heavy. Staying awake was a little bit hard at that moment. She thought maybe the pain would stop if she closed them for a little bit.
Trevor was having an off game to say the least. He was missing passes and easy goals, and looked completely aloof out there when he had accidentally committed a penalty and was forced to sit in the sin bin during the second.
"Dude what's got you so antsy tonight?" Jamie hit Trevor with his gloved hand when he returned to the bench after another shift.
"A funny feeling they aren't here and something's wrong." Trevor bit the inside of his cheek, a habit he picked up whenever he was nervous or anxious, similar to Bean's lip biting.
"Well you better pick it up or you'll get benched again." Jamie warned.
He didn't get any better by the third, but instead of benching they just greatly reduced his time on ice, making him feel worse. The Ducks' ended up losing the game to Minnesota.
After the game was over, the coaches could been seen talking with both Troy and Jamie. They were whispering and looking over at Trevor, making him feel a bit more uneasy.
Someone came over and gave him the news. His girlfriend and son were in a bad car accident. The news alone made him sick. Once he was able to contain himself, Trevor skipped the shower opting to get to the hospital as fast as he could.
"Are you Trevor?" A polite nurse tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. He nodded and followed her as she led him Bean's room.
Zephyr was sitting on Mia's lap, she was keeping him busy with a little hotwheels car, while Bean, who seemed to be asleep, laid in a bed with a couple of machines hooked up to her.
"They got lucky. They both have cuts and bruises, Zephyr has a broken arm and Tallulah has a broken pelvis that will most likely require surgery at some point." Bean's doctor looked over his noted again. "You can go in at anytime"
"What about-"
"The baby?" the doctor had finished his sentence for him. The man sighed, giving him a knowing look. Hearing him speak didn't give Trevor any reassurance everything would be okay in the long run.
It wasn't until later in the day on March 20th that Bean woke up.
She was super confused as opened her eyes and wiped the eye crusts from them. Where was going on. Bean looked over noticing Trevor, who was asleep with his head resting on the bed. She tried reached out for him, her finger tips just able to touch his hair.
"Trevor" Bean coughed, jolting the birthday boy awake.
"Hey Momma" Trevor leaned over to place bunch of kisses all over her face, finally relieved they all were going to be okay. Bean went to push herself up, but was met with major pain.
"Bean don't move. You broke your pelvis in the accident." Bean didn't remember what happened, so Trevor explained everything the accident, injuries and Zephyr the best he could. Her eyes wide running her hand over the bump. "He's okay, he's still there."
"I'm sorry. It's your birthday and we're here." She couldn't help but apologize. She knew this wasn't how he wanted to spend his birthday. Maybe they could get Jamie or Mason to bring in a cake or something.
"Tallulah Bean I don't care where we are. All I care about is that you're okay, Zeph's okay, and the new little dude is okay. I am happy where ever you are. I love you."

Ignorance is Bliss
Steve liked to pretend the Upside Down never happened, that he was a regular teen boy with regular teen issues. He didn’t like to focus on the new scars marring his skin, the ones with the questionable origins that he’d never be able to explain. The way he saw it, his nightmares and anxiety during the day focused on the past enough. So, he moved on as much as possible. He bottled everything up and acted like he was fine. He acted as a listening board for his friends to vent and kept his own problems under lock and key. It worked as much as one would expect and he was fine.
But moving on caused its own problems. His friends started getting more distant with him and leaning on each other because how would Steve understand what they were going through if he moved on so quickly? Things only got worse on his own. His nightmares bled into the day, his fears kept him locked away, and his insecurities started to overwhelm him in the Party’s absence.
That’s where Eddie and Robin came in. They forced Steve to accept the past, to talk about his feelings, and to drop the armored facade that held him captive. It took many tears, several hugs, and more than a few of Robin’s rants to get through to him. But eventually, Steve opened himself up to vulnerabilities and couldn’t fathom how he’d survived in the past without doing so.
Things were so much better with open communication. Gone were the lonesome days of concealing his emotions and existing as a broken shell of trauma. He could feel what he went through without being weak and he’d never felt so… content. Happy. He had Robin by his side as his best friend and platonic soulmate. He had Eddie as his boyfriend once he found the guts to make a move. And once the Party spent some time with the new and improved communicative Steve Harrington, he had his friends back too. He wasn’t as collected as they thought he was and as soon as they saw how it had affected him, they crawled back with sorries on their lips and understanding in the air.
The Upside Down came with a lot of bad but it brought some good with it too. It bulldozed into their lives with trauma and pain and public persecution. It tore the Party apart and they had to fight to stay together. But it gave Steve a best friend, a boyfriend, and a family. It brought the Party together and made them a family, dysfunctional as it was.

summary: request :)
evan buckley x reader
a/n: i got this request too, so i decided to combine the two, hope that’s ok 🩶
the accident had severely limited y/n’s mobility. a spinal injury left her ridden to a wheelchair, unsure if she’d be able to ever move the way she was before. the constant back and forth to doctors appointments and several surgeries after the collision had completely blew out the flame in her mind, leaving only ash and a lack of hope.
buck tries to be there, but it brings him back to his own accident. the fire engine laying on top of him, not being able to move without feeling excruciating pain. he was intolerable afterwards. he went as far as suing the city to get back to his job. he could imagine how y/n was feeling, but he couldn’t fully understand. pushing herself would only make it worse, but she couldn’t stop. every single day was an active fight against her own body, the body she felt was betraying her.
she relives the moment the cars clashed together the whole day. a lot of people might force it out of their mind, but she made sure she remembered all the small details of it. the pain, the thoughts, the sirens, the broken car pieces. the worst part about it was having zero answers to her end result. it was bad, there was no denying that. she couldn’t walk on her own, let alone stand up by herself and successfully hold herself. so, she relied on buck.
he helped her move, wheeled her around, took her to her appointments, and told her not to worry about work. she was born to be a first responder. she’s been dreaming about it since she hit middle school, knowing exactly what she wants to do. she felt like she was drowning in a pit of people who needed to be saved. alas, she couldn’t do a single thing about it.
“y/n, c’mon, you have to eat,” buck tries to coerce her into a few bites, but she just pushes them around in the food box. he wanted to help her so bad, to give her the world, but she couldn’t accept it in the state she was in. she saw the pity looks from everyone, knowing that it wasn’t her fault this happened to her. “listen, i get it-“
“you do, buck? you think you understand but it’s completely different.”
“honey, just hear me out for a minute. you saw me at my worst. blood clots and surgeries and all.”
“i cannot stand up on my own. i cannot drive my car. i cannot shower. i cannot leave my apartment without someone pushing me out of it. i cannot use the fucking bathroom. this is not at all the same.”
“i’m not going to let you ruin yourself the way i almost did,” he looks her dead in the eye, trying to give her a slice of reality through the grief and panic she’s feeling.
“yeah, you just abandoned everyone you love so you could go back to work,” her words sting in bucks chest, mentioning his worst regrets. the way he acted during that time was nothing but sadness for himself. buck excused himself, y/n wishing she could do the same but she was confined on the first floor. he shut the bathroom door lightly behind him. his hands were pressed against his face, pushing the tears in his eyes back so y/n didn’t see him cry.
maybe it’s just a bad day, he thought. he prayed it was just a bad day. and he prayed that the rest of their days wouldn’t be bad ones as well.
it was weeks after weeks that y/n had been fighting this battle toward improvement. it felt like everything she did was one step forward and two steps back. was it really worth it?
losing the movement of your legs was almost equal to losing someone. you rely on someone forever, for them to just vanish in the blink of an eye. before you can even think and certainly before you can say goodbye. nothing can prepare you for the grief of either of these situations.
even on days that buck had to return to work, carla had come over. she was driving y/n places, taking her out and picking up her prescriptions. physical therapy had been paying off, the exercises and treatments they’d done had been regaining her strength quickly.
“when can i get back to work?”
“y/n, we spoke about this,” her doctor said. they’d talked about how she wouldn’t be back for a long time, needing to completely heal before she returned. if she returned. she shook her head and looked down. “you have to give your body time.”
“it’s had time. it’s been months and months of waiting and i’m finally starting to make some advances.”
“you are, but healing from an injury this severe is going to take a long time. spinal injuries are insanely serious and you have to treat it like that.”
the drive home was silent. she made no attempts to speak to the kind-hearted woman in the drivers seat. helping her in and out of her chair, she sat on the couch and sat there, looking at the walls of her apartment with buck. when he finally arrived home after his shift, he spotted her on the couch.
“hey,” he says, placing his stuff down on the counter. “how was your day?” she doesn’t reply, so he waits a few seconds.
“i cant go back to work for a long time.”
“i know.”
“i cannot do this, buck. i need my job,” buck moves over to crouch in front of her, sitting on the table in front of the couch.
“y/n, you have so much stuff in your life that will give you a meaning. you will never be defined by your physical abilities. this is not your fault.”
“it is completely my fault!” her eyes water. “i build my strength up every day for nothing in return! i haven’t pushed myself but it’s not getting me any further and i am worth nothing if i can’t handle this.”
bucks heart breaks at each word escaping from her lips. her beautiful soul had been picked at and teased by her own body, and it felt like the world was laughing at her. everyone looked at her the same. if not in a better light. he wanted her to know that she still shines, even if she’s in a wheelchair.
“i’ve been trying so hard and it will never be enough, will it?”
“look at me, right now,” buck forces. “you will forever be enough. i know they say time heals all wounds but forget that shit, ok? you will always be healing from this. it’s a matter of what stage your healing in. you’re not taking too long. you have your whole life waiting for you, and you are enough.”
“no,” she peeps out, shaking her head in his hands. he nods in response.
“yes. yes, baby, you are enough.”
“buck, stop,” she tries to pick his hands away from her.
“you are enough,” he replies. “and i’m not stopping until you believe it.”
her wet eyes physically cannot pull them away from his own, seeing nothing but pure love and admiration for her reflecting in them. she leans forward, not being able to help herself from the urge she feels to kiss him.
“i’m so sorry, buck. i’m so, so sorry, i put you through hell, and oh my god,” she’s hyperventilating her words out, worrying buck as he tries anything to calm her down. “oh my god, this fucking sucks.”
“i know, just breathe,” he sits next to her, pulling her in and swinging her legs over his. “honey, you have to breathe for me, ok?”
she staples her eyes on his, locking them and not moving until she calms down. her heartbeat begins to slow again, and her choppy inhales start to fall back into a normal rhythm.
“i love you so much,” she speaks out softly to him while playing with his fingers.
“i love you no matter what, y/n,” he replies. “and my heart will never stop beating for you.”
the night sky had rolled in, and the noise outside had quieted to a few cars on the highway now and then. for the first time since before her accident, y/n felt safe, and finally was feeling enough.

"Ha... haha..."
Finally, you thought. It's quiet. So fucking quiet.
Nothing, not even your laugh or the clattering of the scalpel as it slipped from your hand, falling on the floor, could break the silence around you. It was over. You had no sense of time, no calendar to keep track of the days, weeks, months you must have been locked up for. But it was finally over, the blood on your hand a small price for ending all this madness.
You should have never trusted the Fatui. Their compassionate speeches and warm invitations. They swore to help you out of the poverty you lived in. They promised they'd give you a roof over your head and a warm meal a day if you joined them, but it never turned out like the glorious future they described to your vulnerable self. It had been too damn long, but you'd never forget your first meeting with The Doctor. You'd never forget that shark-toothed smile as he introduced himself with a handshake. Never forget the first time he tied you to a chair and told you it would 'only be a small sting'.
Days after days, he tortured you. One incision cutting out some of your skin here, a syringe with weird substances injected there. Him telling you to toughen up, and subtle threats made behind medical jargon. "You could lose your eye if you moved," and, "Be careful, or I might accidentally cut into the vein. You don't want to bleed out here, right?"
But what felt almost worse were his hands on your body. Gloved, not gloved, always searching and never resting. He treated you like a sculpture he was forming, placing you into positions he liked. Below him. At his feet. Forcing you to look up at him through dazes and nausea. Only then would he be careful with you, brushing sweaty hair from your face, offering to take you to a bath if you behaved in the next experiment. Telling you he never saw something as lovely as your cut-up and delirious self. That you were the best he ever had under his scalpel.
The sentences haunted you even in your dreams. If you could sleep, that is. Most nights, you laid awake, trembling from the drugs, throwing up from your memories, or tearing your hair out in agony after getting your medicine. You never signed up to be a guinea pig for this madman, but you were told someone had to do it. At first, you relented, seeing the much younger candidates they brought into the room instead of you, but eventually, you didn't care anymore. And Dottore ceased asking. He broke you; every day a little more. Never caring for your feelings, no matter how pitifully you begged and pleaded with him to let you go.
But now it was all over.
It took you long enough. Too long. You barely remained human at this point. Perhaps this outburst and attack on the person that did this to you was the most human about you now. The constant, nagging voice in your head was gone. It no longer blamed you for your naivety. Didn't scold you for crying or hurting yourself. Everything was quiet. Peaceful.
Ironic, you thought, looking down at the corpse at your feet. You stabbed him so many times, if not for the clothes—now died red—no one would have recognized him anymore. It only took one death for everything to be set on the right path again. You thought that killing would be harder than it ended up being, feeling like you now understood why it was so easy for Dottore to experiment on you. It got easier after the first time, the first stab. Then, only rage guided what followed, and soon, it was almost second nature.
Stepping back, you avoided glancing at the reflective surfaces. Not wanting to see the kind of monster you had become after all that happened. You'd never be welcome in your community again, though, if you were honest, you hadn't been before, either. Still, with looks this frightful, you'd have to hide somewhere far away for the rest of your life.
If you made it that far.
Surely the Fatui would not be pleased after what you did to their Harbinger. Life on the run wouldn't be very rewarding, but it would be better than what you went through here. Anything would be better—even death.
You didn't bother cleaning up the blood from your hands, clothes, or face. What good would it do? All you wanted was to leave. Leave this place and memories behind, and disappear forever from anyone's sight. You'd figure things out once you were outside. Once you were finally safe again. It couldn't get worse than what happened behind closed doors in this room. It just couldn't.
Except... it could.
Twisting the doorknob, you pulled. Again and again, you twisted, pulled, then tried to push, then banged against it. Even with all your weight thrown into it and used to remove the door from its frame, you made no progress. There were no windows. You only had this door from which the doctor used to enter and exit. In the beginning, you had been somewhere else, and then, someday, you woke up in this room, not remembering how you got here. You knew this must be your way out, so why wasn't it budging?
Staggering back, you looked at the corpse on the ground. The man you murdered. The very same man you hated with every fiber of your being. Turning over the corpse wasn't as hard as one might assume. Sticking your hands into places you never wanted to feel made you shake with disgust, but you pushed through it, goal in mind. There must have been something. A key, a code, anything. He must have locked the door somehow, and you needed it open before you began to choke on the dread of being locked in.
Nothing.
You turned every pocket inside out, ripped the clothes from his body, and put your hands where they didn't belong. Nothing. With your breathing heavy, you looked at the scalpel on the floor, a last, desperate thought crossing your mind. The idea that popped into your head seemed crazy. Why would he swallow a key he needed to get out? Who'd do something mad like this?
A mad doctor would. Dottore would.
It cost you less effort than you thought to cut open his stomach, find the organ you were looking for, and cut that open as well. Tears and blood went everywhere around you, with no way to discern the fluids leaking everywhere, but no metal dropped out of the mess you made. Frustrated, you threw the scalpel away. This time you couldn't help but wash, letting the icy-cold water run over your skin as you scrubbed off the remains of him until you barely felt your hands anymore.
When you were done with that, you moved on to your face.
It was hard to keep a clear head in situations like this, but as anyone would do, you tried to open the door again. Tears dropped from your eyes incessantly, and you pleaded with the exit to open, begging unknown powers behind its lock to let you out. Euphoria made way for cold, hard reality. You must have cried for hours, wailed, and screamed and shouted until no sound came out. Fear turned to anger, the height of hope into bottomless desperation. Realizing that you were locked in with the corpse of the seemingly only person who knew how to get out was terrifying. No amount of hugging or trying to soothe yourself with positive thoughts could banish the fear.
The loneliness.
You fell asleep a couple of times, only waking up to hunger pangs and thirst, but all you did was cry yourself back to sleep, knowing it was hopeless. After waking up for the third time, you forced yourself to the sink, drinking some water before throwing it up again, unable to keep the sickening cold down. It was cold on the floor, so you moved to the small bed you had been provided with, wrapping yourself in blankets. It was warm, but it did nothing to comfort you. The sleep cycle continued.
Without anyone there to tell you a new day had begun and it was time for a new experiment, you lost your sense of time completely. It could have been days. Or hours. All of this could have happened in the mere timespan of half a day. Who knew? Not you. The only things you knew now for sure were: the Fatui were bad people, you survived far longer than you probably should have, and you'd ultimately die here. Locked away and alone with the corpse of your abuser, having brought on your own demise.
Knowing that, you closed your eyes, hoping it would be over soon.
Only to awake to the soft humming of a person next to you, your body wrapped in tender warmth and feeling less sick and weak than you ever had before. You lived in the harsh coldness of Snezhnaya for years, and you never experienced such ease and peace on your worn-down body and mind. This must have been the afterlife. It was finally over.
"Hm? Look who decided to grace us with their presence again," a familiar voice teased. Someone picked up your hand, squeezing it between two warm palms, and you turned your head to the side to see who had woken you. Maybe it were the Archons. Perhaps you were in a better place now. A happier one.
But at the sight of the blueish strands of hair falling into a familiar face, red eyes drilling into you while a shark-toothed grin completed the look of your greatest nightmare, all you could do was roll over on your side, bile rising into your mouth before you toppled over, throwing up onto the bed and floor.
What a cruel fate, uniting you with your worst enemy, even in death. Dead he was. You made sure of it. There was no way that corpse with the cut-open stomach could come back to life. Absolutely no way. And yet, there he was, standing up and tsking at you before supporting your back as you kept throwing up the remnants of your own stomach.
"How silly you are. I'm hardly that ugly," Dottore sighed, a bitter jest in his voice.
"How...?" you gurgled, feeling like there was nothing left to throw up despite your body trying to desperately.
"Don't think I have forgotten what you did," he replied, rubbing your back attentively. "That wasn't very nice, you know?"
Still holding your hand with one of his, Dottore slowly helped you sink back on top of the pillow, your bed ruined with spew but seemingly not a concern for the doctor. He reached over to the nightstand to lift a cup of water to your lips, wetting them before pressing the container harder against them so you'd open up. It wasn't cold water, and it tasted bittersweet in your mouth, but you had no choice but to gulp it down, as the doctor insisted.
"However, for now, you should rest. I was so relieved I managed to get to you in time. I don't even want to imagine the trouble we would have to go through had I been too late."
"I wish you wouldn't have," you mumbled weakly. Slowly tears crept into your eyes as you stared defiantly at Dottore. His gaze was intense, but now that clarity forced its way back into your mind, all the hate and frustration you felt before stabbing him returned as well. It was almost as if nothing had changed. Almost as if you only fantasized about killing him and trying to escape. "I can imagine what it would be like losing you."
For a moment, Dottore was quiet. Then, a laugh broke from his lips. Hearty, amused, appalling. Reaching out, he touched your cheeks, wiping the tears from your eyes. No gloves separated you, the touch as intimate as it disgusted you. He never was like this. He never cared about your tears before. Dottore only ever focused on his selfish wants and not on yours. You must have shocked him real good for him to act so kindly. The thought crossed your mind.
"I'm glad neither of us needs to have these terrible thoughts then," he chuckled, turning around briefly. You heard the sound of metal as he arranged something on a table behind him, the sight covered by his body from your eyes. However, when he turned around, you caught a glimpse of the tools there, scalpels and saws.
"But I promise you," he spoke solemnly. "I won't let the same mistake happen again."
Gripping your arm, he pinned it down, your body not strong enough to move quickly as he pulled a firm leather strap across your body. When he tried to do the same with your legs, you tried kicking him to no avail, Dottore simply forcing your leg down after you missed.
"I underestimated your affinity for using your hands and legs, but they aren't necessary for what I have planned for you. And I don't make the same mistake twice."
Dottore turned around to the table, and you began to wiggle and squirm, trying to free yourself from the restraints before he came back. He knew what he was doing. One glance at the saw in his hand, and you wanted to throw up again, your mouth filling with bile.
"Feel free to scream. I will have no problem explaining the sounds to whoever can hear you. No one is going to come to rescue you. I won't let them. This is all for your sake. I don't even care you killed one of my clones. "
A mad grin played on his lips. Your eyes met, and you knew you'd never escape this. Never escape his madness. Not even when it ruined you entirely too.
It wouldn't need much to reach that point.
"You are my favorite little experiment, after all," he confessed, taking your hand in his and squeezing it tightly, almost reassuringly. The pressure rose as he pressed your hand to the bed, adjusting the saw just below your thumb, dangerously close to his own fingers.
And all you could do was scream as the pain united you.

Dimitri x F!Reader: Kidnapped Together
This one turned out longer, but I think I was able to communicate everything from the previous ask a bit better (go check it out if you like this one!). The stakes are a bit higher, I had some fun playing around in my head, and this is what came out for you. Enjoy!
Requests are open. The story will continue under the cut.
Dimitri:
“...-tay away from her…”
Voices faded in and out of your head. Of your ears? You weren’t sure if what you were hearing was even real.
“...-ust trying to get her….-et us throu-”
“You have done enough! Stay back!”
That got you up. Your eyes fluttered open, glancing around the room while you shifted into a seated position. The walls were made of brick, but you couldn’t see the door from the three people crowding into the small room. Prince Dimitri stood between you and the strangers.
You moved to stand, but were held down by the chains keeping your wrists close to the floor.
At the rattling you made, Dimitri turned his head ever so slightly to check on you, “Stay down. You mustn't strain yourself.”
“...what?”
“She won’t need to if you just let us tend to-”
“You caused this,” he growled. “I am not so delusional as to allow you to make it worse.”
“Can I please know what’s going on?” you worried, realizing all this directly concerned you.
“Just…stay close to the ground,” he softened his voice a bit to address you. “They hit you on the back of the head while we were hunting in the woods, then used you as leverage to get the upper hand on me.”
A woman in armor gripping a lance approached, trying to take advantage of the apparent distraction. Catching on quickly, Dimitri squared up to her. The lancer’s brows lowered as she backed down again.
“If she bleeds out, know it will only be because you allowed her to.”
You gasped, bringing a hand toward the back of your head before the chains restricted you from doing so, “W-Wait, I’m bleeding out?”
“No, it will be because you chose to attack us. Look at yourselves; you can’t even control your prisoners.”
“We never meant-”
Your classmate cut her off, “But you did. And the only way you could make it right is to either heal her or let us go.”
“You’re not letting us heal her,” the fortress knight closest to the door barked.
“I wonder what option that leaves for you.”
Dimitri was holding himself with all the power and authority of a royal despite the circumstances. It would normally have you in awe, but you were struggling to focus on anything except the possibility that you were a sitting duck in critical condition.
The good news was that he was clearly getting under their skin. Your captors seemed to value both of your lives for some reason; not just the prince’s.
Unfortunately, yours was the life being gambled, and you were on a strict time limit. Dimitri could only call their bluff for so long before they’d have to make a decision. While the daughter of a noble was a decent bargaining chip, you weren’t quite sure how far your captors would be willing to go to keep you upright.
Maybe they’d wait for you to pass out, forcing Dimitri into a final decision.
Perhaps your fate would be decided only after you fell unconscious.
But for now, you said nothing. If you let these…rogues…in on how much you wanted help, they would certainly use your words against Dimitri. Then what would you have to keep yourself safe? No doubt they’d separate you.
“Step. Aside.”
“Then what? You two can’t escape while she’s chained to the floor.”
“That never stopped me.”
Indeed, the cuffs of a different set of chains were still bound to Dimitri’s wrists. He must have broken his own at some point before you woke up.
The fortress knight stepped forward this time, holding out his lance as the witch next to him primed her magic. Fire, from the looks of it.
“Pathetic. Do you really think you can stop me?”
You had never seen this side of Dimitri before. He was acting a bit more…well, scary wasn’t the proper word. Authoritarian wasn’t either. In all honesty, you weren’t quite sure how you felt about it.
Not that it mattered. At the end of the day, he was getting you out of here.
Suddenly the world spun. You were caught by surprise, but you couldn’t steady your head with your hands. The most you could make of the skirmish in front of you was bright colors and blurred lines. You wanted to throw up, yet you felt like there was nothing to get rid of. Plus, it would only worsen your headache.
On instinct, you tried to balance yourself; to stop yourself from falling over. Since you weren’t actually off-centered, the endeavor didn’t go so well, and you struggled to regain control of your body before you could hit the floor.
When you set your hand on the ground beside you to steady yourself, blood dripped onto it.
Was this a good time to ask for help?
…more help?
Looking up as your sight came back to you, you realized you had no idea where you were. There were bodies on the ground, drops of blood spattered around them. They matched the beads trickling down your hand.
Prince Dimitri was at your side, tearing through the chains at your wrists.
“Where are we?” you asked him, glancing back at the people motionless on the floor. “D-Did I do this?”
“What? No, you’ve been stuck here on the fl-” his voice quieted, “By the Goddess, no…”
His hand moved to your face, angling it toward him until you had nowhere else to look but into his eyes. After a moment, the action had made you somewhat dizzy.
You recoiled a bit, “Wh- You’re acting strange…”
He turned his head away, sighing lightly as he broke your other shackle off. Arms now free, you moved to stand before he stopped you.
“Your eyes…we need to get you out of here.”
“Okay, so let’s go.”
“No,” he again prevented you from getting up. “No large movements…I need to find a way to get you out of here safely.”
Glancing around the room once again, you couldn’t identify any living threats to your survival, “There must be something I’m not getting. Where are we? It doesn’t look like we’re in any direct danger; nothing is stopping us from leaving.”
He rose to his feet, watching to make sure you stayed down, “I don’t know where we are…some ruffian camp by the monastery- but I know the way back. They kept me conscious during the walk.”
“...that’s an odd way of phrasing it…”
“Yes, well. I won’t be doing much more of that. The important thing is getting you out of here as efficiently as possible. That means without you…moving…y……d…t…m…ch.”
You ducked your head as you felt it throb, staring at the floor and trying even just to breathe. In and out. You were in trouble, you knew that much, but you just couldn’t…
…if…if you could just…focus…
Vaguely, you registered hands at your arms. They shifted; one to your waist, one to your back, an arm to your head, and you suddenly couldn’t feel the ground anymore.
“...I…”
“Please, try not to move. I’m going to get you out of here.”
…out…of here…?
“Put your head down. I will keep you safe.”
That voice…it sounded so familiar…
They sounded so calm and comforting, so easy to trust, you found it hard to think of disobeying. How easy it was to rest, to ignore everything and rest your head.
But the feeling of dread wouldn’t go away.
“...I feel…bad…”
“I know,” he said. The voice was male, “Just hang on a bit longer. Does that sound manageable?”
It wasn’t. It sounded easy enough, but the darkness that engulfed you afterward said otherwise.
~~~~
“Dimitri!”
His head shot up from the side of your medical bed as he startled awake.
“What? Is something the matter?”
But once his eyes adjusted, it didn’t look like there was much on your mind except confusion; as though you had called out to him from some dream you had, or perhaps you had been reliving past events. You were just staring at the bookshelf across from you, dumbfounded.
“How…? But I thought-”
“Easy,” he lightly set his hand atop yours. “We’re safe now. This is Manuela’s study.”
“Oh…” you commented. “I only remember a few things, I think. I was hit on the head…there was blood and a prison of sorts…and then nothing.”
“We were attacked by some band of scum after we left to hunt for the monastery,” Dimitri frowned. “They tried to hold you over my head and capture us both…and I’ll admit they got away with it for longer than I’m proud of.”
You looked worried, though he assured you everything turned out fine. The two of you had returned to safety, after all, and you looked relieved to hear it.
“I managed to bring you back without running into trouble, but…”
He felt his face begin to warm, his eyes finding a spot on the far wall; anything to keep himself from making eye contact with you.
“...you said a few things on the way.”
“What…what do you mean?”
“You kept fading in and out- surely, some of it was coming out of your head. I…I don’t want it to-”
“Your Highness, what did I say?”
“Ah, erm…” the hand he was resting on yours flew to the back of his neck. His face was burning now, but he’d only be more embarrassed if he tried to hide it, “Please, don’t call me that right now…”
At least you seemed to be back in good health. Manuela had gathered quite the posse to care for you, but he had pulled rank and refused to leave until you were awake. This was his fault, at least partially, and he would see it through.
His position as the Kingdom’s heir certainly had its uses.
“...you’re scaring me. Please, just tell me what I said,” you looked down at the thin white sheet covering your legs, your body rigid and still, “I hope it wasn’t a mean thing.”
“N-No,” he rushed to assure you. Goddess, why was this so difficult to say when you were the one that said it in the first place?
He felt your eyes trying to connect with his own, “Then…what?”
“You…said you loved me.”
One of your hands flew to cover your face as it tinted scarlet, prompting his own face to turn a similar hue, he was sure.
“And I know! I knew you had suffered head trauma- I wouldn’t have even given a second thought to it…but you began saying all these other things. You called me kind and courageous, chivalrous and determined…”
With each of his words, you seemed to grow more and more…well, whatever it was your eyes were expressing through your fingers, it was making him grow nervous.
“I…If it is okay with you, that is…I would like to know if you truly thought those things about myself…?”
Please say yes. Please say yes. If only you were to say yes, maybe I-
“Of course,” you muttered, letting your hand lower as your gaze directed toward it, “How could I not? Especially after the tendrils of what little I could remember coming back to me, I…”
He said nothing, hoping you would find it in you to continue your praise of him. Perhaps it was a little underhanded, but he found he liked hearing you speak of him in such a way.
“You’re brave- you protected me when I couldn’t defend myself. I remember you were patient with me when…when my condition worsened-“
You cut yourself off after accidentally meeting his eyes, as though you had just begun to realize what it was you were saying.
Should he say something too? To make it less awkward?
“I find you attractive too.”
Wait.
“What?”
What?!
“N-No, that’s not what I meant. I, well, I do find you attractive, but I was trying to refer to your actions and your personality. Not that I…don’t find you physically attractive as well, but-“
“Just…say whatever it is you need and leave? I think I’ve had enough of everything, today.”
His heart clenched a little, at that. That wasn’t what he had meant to say at all, and now it sounded like you didn’t even want to look at him.
Why was it that he had to ruin this when it was so close to going right?
“That came out wrong,” the leader of the Blue Lions sighed, “It’s because of your determination and strength that I have come to understand the only limitations of life are the ones I place upon myself. You are loyal, honest, and true to yourself; even if that means going against those around you.”
There. That was closer to what he truly felt. He wasn’t sure he could manage to say much more without messing everything up again, so he opted to just close his mouth and wait.
You looked brighter though; almost like Dimitri hadn’t just ruined whatever your relationship was not but two minutes ago. That was what truly mattered, he supposed. You had gone through hell today, and the least he could do was try to make the end of your day better.
“I…perhaps you had better get more rest. I will retrieve Professor Manuela for you,” he stood, turning back to you one last time, “Get well soon, and don’t hesitate to ask if you need anything.”
You responded with a simple wave.
Dimitri shut the door behind him, taking a few steps down the hall before leaning against the wall. He covered his face with one hand. His heart was racing too fast. The prince took a deep breath only to let it out a moment later.
Honestly, today had made him feel sick with the amount of emotions swirling around in his chest. There was so much fear- both of you would have been ransomed or worse if your captors had been a little smarter, and you had nearly…
The blond shook his head. He knew fear, and that was definitely part of what he felt, but for some reason it had created an amalgamation with his…well…attraction to you. The words you had exchanged mere moments ago certainly didn’t help, and he had held you so close on the way back to the monastery that it was a miracle he was still functioning.
Shifting off the wall, he rushed out of the hallway and down the stairs to find Professor Manuela. You needed help first, even if he didn’t want to wait to talk to you again.
He’d see you when you were better, and though maybe you’d forget your conversation, at least now he knew something about how you felt.
Perhaps there existed some hope for him after all.
Smutmas Day 29
“Fucking is a reward but you haven’t been a good girl.” - Ominis Gaunt X F!MC
🔥 NSFW 🔞 MDNI
602 words
Tumblr media
Warnings: apology blowjob, oral m receiving
She’d gone against his advice again, resulting in winding up in headmaster Black’s office getting scolded for wandering off campus and getting stuck in a tree of all places.
She had gotten stuck in the tree and missed curfew which had resulted in nearly half the school going on a search party for her in the middle of the night.
To make it all worse Black had summoned Ominis to walk her back to her dorm, the one student who’d told her beforehand that this expedition would be a bad idea and that it would bite her in the ass later.
She followed behind him, his glowing wand guiding the way back to her common room in near silence. “Ominis. Please, you don’t need to punish me with your silence. I’ve already been punished. I feel bad that I went against your wishes, truely.”
Ominis remained silent, continuing along with heavy boot falls. “Ominis ple-“
He spun on his heel causing her to crash into his chest as he sighed heavily. “No, you don’t get to be sorry only when you know you got caught. You could just listen for once maybe and you wouldn’t find yourself in so much trouble all the bloody time. Ever think of that?”
Her head sunk in shame but his hand stopped her, forcing her to look into his unseeing but still angry eyes. “No. You didn’t think of that. Instead you wake up and ponder, hm, how can I go against Ominis Gaunt today? What can I do to piss him off this time?!”
She looked around at the empty corridor they were in and licked her lips nervously. She knew there was only one way to tamp down his anger but she could really get them into trouble if she got caught here.
She sank to her knees, fingers flying up to his trousers. Ominis’ breathing hitched but he made no move to stop her. “You already know that fucking is a reward, but you haven’t been a good girl.”
She shakes her head and pulls his growing erection from his trousers with a smirk. “We aren’t fucking, this is only for you. This is just the beginning of my apology.”
She sits up on her heels, taking him into her mouth with a satisfied hum. He smells so good here, the masculine scent of him making her wet between her thighs already.
He gripped both her hands, placing them on his thighs. “Don’t move these hands. You aren’t allowed to play with yourself tonight. You deserve to be punished.”
She hummed around him greedily, rolling her tongue over his sensitive head. He sighed pleasurably, using the hand not holding his wand to lace his fingers into her hair. “Fuck, you’re way too good at this.”
She took him to the back of her throat, breathing through her nose so she wouldn't gag. His eyes squoze shut, a low guttural growl leaving his lips. “Holy fuck, gonna cum…”
She doesn’t stop, doesn’t even move till his fingers tighten in her hair and he leans back against the wall for support. She swallows around him and with a broken groan he’s cumming down her throat in hit thick ropes.
Once she’s sure he’s done she pulls off with a pop and grins happily, licking her lips. “You taste so good, Omi.”
He huffs and buttons himself back up before gripping her shoulder and dragging her toward the Slytherin common rooms. “You’re gonna stay with me tonight. Can’t trust you not to relieve that dripping cunt the second you’re alone.”
got prompt from here
I tried to let my inner demons come out in this one 😈 when I finished I felt like it was only mild angst so idk how y’all will feel about this
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dick Grayson x gn!reader
Tags: angst, depression, mentions of alcohol poisoning, alcoholism, no use on “Y/n”, alcoholic!reader, fights, drunk!reader, cut on foot, blood, reader being called ‘baby’, forgetful!reader, mentions of death, lowkey kinda crappy, kinda toxic behavior
wc: idk I’ll figure it out later
Prompt: “haha! you think i love you? that’s pathetic.”
Tumblr media
Dick knew something was wrong. More wrong than the usual. You never shut him out before. Never.
Sure you had your downs like when you had a bad day at work. But you always made sure to communicate with Dick in order to prevent something you’d regret immediately.
So why weren’t you doing that now?
Instead you were in your room staring at the empty bottles across your floor. What were you doing? Your brain felt fuzzy and calm, yet it also wasn’t. The only thing you could properly understand is trying not to throw up.
You didn’t hear the front door slam shut nor the sounds of footsteps, but you could clearly hear the voice downstairs calling out your name. No matter how much you tried to block it out, you just couldn’t.
Sometimes you really regretted letting Dick get rid of your heroin.
You wanted to be left alone, but it didn’t seem like your boyfriend wanted the same thing.
Your bedroom door opened slowly. You looked up making direct eye contact with your boyfriend. You let out a groan.
“Baby? What happened? Why didn’t you call me?” he asked, crouched down to look you in the face. His voice was filled with a mix of concern and anger but it sounded so angelic. You wanted to listen to him talk on repeat. That made you feel sick. You tried your hardest not to roll your eyes.
Wait…why did you feel sick? You couldn’t remember. That was the joy of alcohol, you had no fucking idea what was going on. You felt like you could actually forget about the deaths you witnessed. Except no matter what you couldn’t, your drunk self just had to deal with it instead.
“Go away,” you slurred out, trying to stand without falling on your ass.
“You look like you’re going to pass out so I’m not going away,” he hissed, standing up to his full height.
He reached out at your swaying form trying to keep you balanced. Dick forced himself to let out a deep breath. Being mad would just be bad for both of you.
“Come on, I think you should go to the hospital. I’m worried you might have alcohol poisoning,” he sighed trying to pull you out of the room.
You pushed him away, stumbling into a broken piece of glass lodged into the bottom of your foot. “I don’t have alcohol poisoning, Dick.”
“I’ve been to enough clubs to know when someone has alcohol poisoning. Besides look at your foot, that needs stitches.”
You glanced down at your foot noticing it’s bloody appearance. When did that happen? You had no clue.
“That’s nothing,” you said lifting your foot up. You looked at the glass shard in your foot before roughly pulling it out, watching the blood shoot out. It was…hypnotizing.
Dick grimaced but didn’t say anything about it. “Why didn’t you call me? I could have helped you,” he sighed.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” Your voice sounding more sober than previously.
"We have to talk about it! You’re shutting me out! It’ll only get worse, I just want to help," he groaned.
Your eyes drifted towards Dick. “You’re cheating on me. That’s my reason Dick!”
Was he? That’s why you’re mad at him, right?
Your boyfriend froze, his eyebrows furrowing. “What the hell are you talking about? I’m not cheating on you.”
“Don’t fucking lie to my face Dick, I’m not oblivious,” you scoff. “I hate liars and cheaters making you look very bad right now.”
Dick stared at your facial expressions. Your eyes were moving quickly, looking at whatever they could. Your mouth was barely open as you were huffing air like you ran out of oxygen.
You’ve been mad before at Dick, but not like this. You weren’t blushing with rage or were your eyes filled with tears waiting to leave. No. That never came and Dick wasn’t exactly sure that was a good thing.
Dick let out a deep sigh trying to remain calm. This was all just a misunderstanding, that’s all. Just a big misunderstanding.
“Listen to me, I’m not cheating on you, I’ve never cheated and never will,” he spoke trying to keep his voice down, but the thought of you believing that he would cheat made him want to burst.
You remained quiet for a moment, calming yourself down. “Why should I trust you?”
“You trusted me before, I see no reason why you can’t now,” he huffed. His anger was getting to him. All he wanted was to lay in bed with you and forget the problems of the world, yet here he was.
Your slurred laugh reverberated off the walls of your room. "When did I ever say I trusted you?"
Dick's hands balled up into fists. “Let’s just calm down, ok? I’ll clean your foot, we won’t go to the hospital, I swear.”
“No, Dick. Not till you tell me. When the fuck did I say I ever trusted you? Because honestly the way you eye fuck Starfire I don’t think I would’ve ever said that,” you growled. You saw the way he looked at Starfire, or was he looking at you?
"When you told me you loved—and always will love—me," he responded, ignoring the rest of what you said.
God, you seriously thought you were going to throw up.
A sloppy grin formed on your face. "Haha!" you slurred, "You think I love you? That's pathetic."
Dick's hands unclenched and his breath went ragged. His eyes remained on your figure watching the smile leave your face as you stared back at him.
Your face was calm, like you didn’t even think about regretting anything you said. But on the inside you were panicking, not that you would show it.
When did you ever say you needed Dick anyways?
God, if anyone else said that to him, Dick wouldn’t even consider staying with them, but you’ve always been different in Dick’s eyes.
“You’re drunk,” he muttered out.
“So?” you laughed, “I’m honest when I’m drunk.” No you weren’t. Yet you watched as Dick hesitantly walked out your bedroom door.
You walked after him grabbing him by the wrist. “Where the hell are you going? I should be walking away not you!” you screamed.
Dick twisted his arm out of your grip. "I thought you got your shit together," he hissed, walking through your front door and slamming it shut.
He knew he would be back, he couldn’t help it. He couldn’t leave you.
But you just stared at the door before shrugging. What did you do?
You couldn’t remember.
“Better terrible truths than kind lies.”
-Six if Crows, Leigh Bardugo,
Promises are made and broken. How could Time watch his friend die when it’s possible the other is safe? Which choice is the right one?
4456 words.
Warnings for torture, kidnapping, vomiting. Let me know if there should be anything else!
~~~~
He thought things couldn’t get much worse when he was kidnapped with Sky and Four.
After days of starvation, he was losing hope of being able to break out of here. And they had, if his internal clock is correct (and it always is), one more day until their captors started torturing them.
His eyes find the smith, who’s shackled to the wall of his cell, bars separating them.
Sky lays unconscious on the floor of Four’s cell, the smith finally tearing his gaze from the skyloftian as the teenager clears his throat.
Storm cloud grey eyes find his, expression deadly serious. “Time. If it comes down to it, save Sky. Not me.”
He pauses, unsure of what to say to that.
“Four, don’t-”
“Time, promise me.”
“Four-”
“No, Time, I don’t want to hear the ‘it won’t come to that,’ or ‘we’re all gonna get out of here,’ you don’t know that. Promise me- that if it comes down to it, if you have to choose, you will save Sky and let me die if you have to.”
“Four I can’t-”
“Do it!” Four snaps, eyes flashing blue. “Sky has people at home who need him- friends who need him, family, his Zelda! I’ve got no one, ok?! It doesn’t matter to anyone but you guys if I make it! Sky has people who need him! He has a future! Promise me, Time!”
The desperation and raw fear in the kid’s voice makes him pause. Slowly nod, more out of surprise than actual agreement.
“Say it.” Four demands.
“I promise.” He says weakly.
“Promise what?” Four insists, arms crossed.
“If- if it comes down to… a choice… I’ll save Sky.”
Four relaxes, slowly releasing a breath and relaxing as much as he’s able with the chains around his wrists and ankles. “Thank you.”
He feels sick. How could he do that? Promise that?
But… it won’t come to it, he reminds himself.
All of them are getting out of here. Alive.
~~~~
He’s jolted out of the restless doze he’d managed to fall into by the sound of his cell opening.
Blearily, he raises his head to the bars. One of the weird soldiers in red is staring at him, laughing cruelly when he startles and yelps in shock.
“Wakey, wakey, little one! I had the honor of picking the first victim of our torture. Unless… you want to save us the trouble and tell us where the hero is?”
He slowly licks his dry, cracked lip, spitting in the face of his captor.
Instead of being angry, the man seems excited. “That’s what I thought. Come on, little boy.”
His chains are replaced with heavy shackles that make it very hard to move- especially with the lack of food and water.
He casts a cautious glance into Time’s cell- the leader is watching wearily, making the briefest of eye contact with him.
“Save. Sky.” He mouths, and Time looks away.
Then he raises his chin and allows the soldier to lead him out of the cell, down a hall, up a staircase that nearly makes him pass out, down another long hallway, and back down some steps and through a large room and into a little hidden door and through- he loses track, which he’s sure is the point of the ridiculous route.
But eventually the soldier stops him, and he’s forced to lay on a table as he’s chained up again.
“It has been five days, boy.” Another soldier says. This one is bigger, taller, holding a much larger sword. “Your friends are not coming for you. You will save yourself much pain if you simply tell us where the hero Link is.”
He stays silent, looking into the eyes of the mask.
“We can be merciful. We can release you, feed you, tend to your friend’s wounds. Where did your friend, the hero, run to?”
“I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew.” He snaps, cursing himself for replying. But hunger and dehydration make him woozy, and he can’t trust himself.
He’s glad he’s not sure where the others went.
A soft sigh comes from the leader-seeming one.
The smaller one pulls out a wicked looking knife, long and jagged and clearly having one intended purpose.
“We’ll do this the hard way, then.”
He raises his chin as much as he can. “Bring it. Come on.”
The first slice is to his leg. Another quickly joins it.
And another.
On his calf, one above another. Four long cuts, for the four colors on his tunic, the leader says.
A break, another question, another chance for him to talk.
They move up to his arm.
Four long, thin slices that bleed heavily and quickly are dripping all over the floor.
Then the other arm. Then the other leg.
He takes it without noise, keeping his eyes locked firmly on the leader.
I’ve had worse, he hopes it comes through. There is no part of me that isn’t broken and healed, and I am stronger because of it.
“Break bones.” The leader says in a bored tone of voice.
He grits his teeth as the soldier nears him, bearing his teeth. “Let’s go, then. Break ‘em. Which one you gonna start with? I recommend the ribs. Painful and damaging.”
Sure enough, the first blow is to his side. Knocks the breath right out of him, the fight in him faltering.
Then his wrist.
He has to bite back a yell, tears streaming down his cheeks now. But he forces himself to talk- he will not break. Never.
“That all you’ve got? Clean breaks. Those will heal up fine in a month or so.”
Mistake. The leader pauses, then hands something to the soldier.
A mallet.
A mallet.
“Smash his hand. Shatter the bones beyond repair. Maybe he’ll be willing to talk then.”
All the fight in him evaporates.
They can take a lot from him.
His sword, his armor, his tunic, hell, his dignity. But his thing, the thing he defines himself with is his craft.
Shattering his hand will destroy that.
The leader enjoys the fear he can’t hide in his eyes.
His breaths quicken, tears pricking in his eyes again, entire body trembling against the chains.
“Last chance, little boy. You’re a craftsman, I can tell. Surely the hero isn’t losing your work over?”
He swallows defiantly, making himself look at the leader once more.
Another sigh.
A wave of the hand.
The hammer swings down, down-
“I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY WENT!” He screams, squeezing his eyes shut.
A loud slam, the air of the hammer blowing an ironically gentle breeze on his hand.
His teeth are chattering.
The corner of the table collapses, leaving a jagged edge on the solid wood.
“I don’t know where they went. We- we were planning to get to the stable nearby. That’s all I know.” He whispers, closing his eyes again.
He’s shuddering violently, uncontrollably, even more when a gentle hand brushes his hair out of his face.
“What’s your name, little boy?”
“Four.” He whispers shakily, forcing himself to swallow.
“Well, Four. I think you’re lying to me.”
His eyes fly open.
“You kidnapped me! I’ve been here for days! How am I supposed to know where they went?! I-”
“He annoys me. Find an interesting organ and remove it.”
A knife plunges into his side, and all the air in his body is sucked right out.
In. Out. In. Out.
Slowly, the knife cuts his flesh open. Open. Doing goddess knows what to his body.
It hurts.
He’s been stabbed before, by weapons much worse than knives, but he’s never had surgery while wide awake.
He tenses as much as his body allows him to, sweat mixing with the tears running down his face, teeth biting his lip bloody.
He knows they just want to hurt him to get Time to talk. They know he doesn’t know where Wild and the others went. They know that Time does.
And one look at Time tells them the old man isn’t going to break through good old fashioned torture. But… maybe they can negotiate his torture’s end through Time’s information…
All they need him to do is scream.
Sound pained.
Act the part.
I will not, he tells himself, blood dripping down his chin from how hard he’s biting his lip to keep himself from screaming.
I won’t, he reminds himself as he sobs, thrashing as much as he’s able to- which isn’t much.
But in the end, he’s not Twi, with his strength, or Wars with his unshakable confidence, or Wind with his courage.
He’s a teenager who grew up privileged in a comfortable house where he knew little pain, went on a relatively easy adventure compared to the heros around him.
He never died or faced a god.
He thought he knew pain. How wrong he was.
The knife brushes his rib cage, and he screams.
~~~~
A scream cuts through the silence of his cell, echoing down the long, empty halls.
He runs for the cell bars, looking down the hall, calling Four’s name, but sees nothing and gets no reply.
Just another agonized scream.
Then- “Time!”
He falters. “Wars?!”
“Time! I’m here, where’s Four, where’d they take him? Where’s Sky? We’re gonna get you out.”
“Go get Four, go get Four, I don’t know where he’s at-”
Wars nods quickly, already moving down the hall. “I’ll be back! I’ll be right back!” The captain shouts, and then he’s gone.
He waits one long minute. Two. Three. Fifteen.
Wars comes rushing back, Legend and Twi behind him, a multicolored bundle in the rancher’s arms.
Blood on both Legend and Wars, whether it’s Four’s, their own, or… someone else’s, he doesn’t know.
“Bleeding out as we speak, we have to go!” Legend snaps before he can even ask, slipping a hand through the bars into his cell.
“Take this bracelet, touch the wall, activate it, inactivate it. I’ll explain later.”
He’s seen quite a few things, during his adventures. Been transformed and transformed again, into thing after thing after thing. A deku scrub, a zora, so on and so on. But he’s never been a painting until now.
He shudders once he’s back to normal, shakily handing the vet his bracelet back.
“You get used to it. Where’s Sky?” The vet say, sliding it back over his hand.
He shakes his head weakly. “They took him. He was hurt. Badly. Haven’t seen him since.”
The three share a long look.
“We have to go.” Twi says quietly, looking down at a beat up and very bloody Four. “He’s not gonna last much longer.”
Wars peers at the smith, checking his breathing and his pulse. “Five minutes to look. Split up, meet back here or get left behind. That’s all we’ve got. Twi, keep that wound covered.”
A tense nod, and they all split.
He searches room after room after room, hollering Sky’s name, looking, looking, well past five minutes.
But he finds nothing, hits a dead end, and has to go back.
And they leave.
Four’s barely breathing, deathly pale, and his pulse is so, so weak. They don’t have a choice.
They leave Sky somewhere in the building, getting Four back to the inn others had found in their absence.
Wars and Twi talk to him, pressing him for answers, but all he can hear is the promise he’d made to the smith ringing in his ears over and over again.
~~~~
Their arrival at the inn is a chaotic mess.
Everyone scrambles to find potions, medical supplies, anything that might help Four.
Time sits on a seat at the table and stares out the window, refusing to allow anyone to look over him.
Wars and Hyrule get Four to a bed, working over him for hours and hours.
Four stops breathing once.
They get him going again, but the poor kid is still fighting for his life well into the night, well into the morning, all the next day, until Wars emerges from the room with Hyrule at his side.
“He’s stable.” The captain says quietly, then promptly falls into a chair and passes out.
Rulie follows suit mere minutes later.
Both men had been up all night. They let them rest, moving them carefully to their own room, and he takes to watching the smith.
“Let me watch him for a bit, Vet. Get some sleep.” Twi offers once, but he waves the rancher away.
Nothing happens for days. Four refuses to wake up. Sometimes they can get him to take some broth, coax a bit of water into him, but the teen remains unmoving on the bed.
The morning starts as usual- he wakes up, checks on Four. Wind reports that he’d been awake for a couple seconds, weak and confused, then fell back asleep.
That’s new. Over the past couple days, Four’s gained his color back, gotten skeletally thin, and the jagged cuts all over his body had slowly started healing up.
His heart rate picked up, breathing became less labored, even moving every so often. Rulie and Wars were optimistic he’d wake up soon.
And later that day he does, managing to scare the absolute crap out of all of them when he does.
Wild makes dinner, gathers them into a larger meeting room, wakes the two snoring heroes, and serves them all dinner.
It takes five minutes for them to start discussing plans to go back, find Sky, who should go, who needs to stay, when they're going-
Four stumbles into the room, pale and shaking. Barefoot, stripped to his underclothes, panicked and on the verge of hyperventilation.
“Where’s Sky?” The kid demands, swaying dangerously. Eyes scanning over the silent room, face paling when he realizes a face is missing.
Wars leaps up to grab the teenager, steadying him quickly. “Smithy, hey, kiddo, let’s take a seat? Just breathe, Buddy, just breathe…”
“Sky.” Four pleads weakly, struggling with all the minimal strength Four’s tiny body possesses.
“Want to try something to eat? You’ve been out a few days, let’s try-”
“Where’s Sky?!” Four demands, dragging his heels on the floor. Wars falters, giving him a slow look.
“Four, buddy… take a seat, kiddo, we’ll explain everything.”
“Tell me.” Four begs, eyes welling up.
“He’s still there.” Twi says softly, gently, eyes full of apology. “We had a plan… it went wrong. Almost immediately. We went to go find him, but we didn’t… we had to go, you were bleeding out- Four- Four, no!” Twi shouts as Four lunges over the table at Time.
“You lied to me!” Four screams, slapping the man across the face. “You promised me! You promised me! You’re a liar!” Four howls as he and Twi wrestle the kid off of the old man as gently as possible.
“You son of a bitch!” Four screams from the ground, tears running down his face and into his hair. “I hate you! I hate you!”
Time’s expression shatters, all the emotions he’d been hiding since their return on full display as the old man breaks down into tears.
“I’m sorry, Four, I-”
Four goes ballistic, breaking out of Twi’s grasp and raking his fingernails over Time’s face hard enough to draw blood the second he’s close enough.
“Sorry isn’t going to help you when I kick the shit out of you!” Four screeches, eyes flashing.
Twi leaps to try to intercept the teen, and chaos erupts. Four’s screaming, Twi’s yelling, Wild’s just staring in shock, Hyrule’s frantically rummaging through his bag and calling to someone, he’s running to try to help Twi, shouting over his shoulder, and Wind’s just burst into the room with a yelp of surprise, likely trying to find out what’s going on.
“Suck my ass you motherfu-”
Hyrule sticks a needle into Four’s arm when Twi wrestles the kid back to the ground, the smithy cutting off his cursing to howl in pain.
“You… you’re a liar…” Four pants, chest heaving, eyes fluttering as the kid clings to consciousness. “You ruined… everything…”
“Four-” Time pleads, but Four’s eyes flutter closed.
“Hate you.” The kid breathes out, hand tightly grasping Twi. “You… lied.”
And the kid’s out.
~~~~
They all stare in shock, Twi openly gaping at the smith underneath him.
Slowly moves his arms, sitting back so he’s not holding Four down anymore.
There’s blood on his hands. Despite his efforts, he’d ripped Four’s wounds right open again.
Wars slowly moves to tend to the scratches down Time’s face as Hyrule slowly starts on Four.
“Look up, did he get your eye?” Wars says quietly, and they all watch.
Time lifts his gaze to the ceiling, revealing the damage done.
Hyrule offers a towel, and the old man presses it to his bloody face. The scrapes aren’t bad, shallow and barely spotting blood, but long lines go down his cheek, to his jaw.
Very narrowly missing his eye.
The rancher carefully gets Four off the ground, the kid still out cold in the rancher’s arms.
“What’d he mean you lied to him?”
“Twi.” Wars says softly, disapprovingly.
Time’s eyes hold a deep sadness, a hint of guilt as he looks at Four. “He made me promise to save Sky instead of him if I needed to choose.”
Silence.
“Time…” Twi says softly, hand raking through his hair.
“How could you break such a promise?” Wild says in horror, staring at their leader.
“What, is he supposed to just let Four die?” Legend says incredulously.
“He promised he would.”
“If it came down to it, would you have the guts to watch your friend die?!” Wind asks, gesturing wildly with his arms.
“If I’d made a promise! I don’t break my promises!”
Time flinches.
“Wild, so much was going on, we didn’t know where Sky was, our best assumption was that he wasn’t being tortured like Four was and we’re hoping he’s in better condition than Four, the smith was bleeding out in my arms, we did what was best-”
“You promised him! Hylia above- if I’d begged someone to make me a promise like that to find out they didn’t keep it-”
Wild’s eyes find Twi’s, words faltering. Swallows thickly, turning away. “I’d rather be dead. Then… that.”
Twi gently shifts the teenager in his arms.
There’s a long moment of silence.
“I’m going to… get a bed for him.” The rancher finally says awkwardly, moving to leave. Hyrule stops him quickly.
“Wait! He’s uh… going to be nauseous when he wakes up. Should only be a few hours. But he’s… yeah.”
Twi nods, taking a deep breath and leaving the room.
They all silently watch him go.
~~~~
Hyrule said it’d be a few hours.
He’s not sure if he forgot to take Four’s size into account, or if Four’s just… sleeping, but the kid doesn’t as much as move for five hours.
The only sign he’s alive is the very slow rise and fall of his chest.
After those long hours, though, he slowly starts shifting, turning, hums groggily when he gently shakes the kid, and he lets him be for a little longer.
Not long after that, the teenager slowly opens his eyes and gives a groggy mumble.
Tries to sit up, flopping right back onto the bed.
“Easy.” He says softly, putting a hand on Four’s shoulder. “We… really knocked you out. You must still be groggy and…”
Four’s expression turns… weird, lips pressing together and swallowing thickly.
“Want some water? It’s been nothing but rain for days-”
He leaps back as Four shoves his hand away, rolls over just enough to get his head over the side of the bed, and vomits all over the floor.
“Eauughaahhehh! Wars! Wars!” He shouts down the hall, taking a cloth from the little table next to the bed and dunking it in the water meant for the poor kid, wringing it out and wiping the smith’s face down.
The teenager is still totally out of it, mumbling disorientedly and weakly trying to shove him away.
Wars bursts into the room just as Four manages to weakly grab his hand, mumbling forcefully and weakly shoving it away.
“Sorry, kiddo, I know, I gotta get you cleaned up, though.” He says softly, soothingly, Four’s gray eyes heartbreakingly confused.
“What is it?” Wars says, helping him calm the poor kid.
“He freaking- threw up everywhere, I’ve got him, any chance you could…”
“Yeah, I got it, he alright?” Wars asks, watching him gently try to get his hand back.
“I don’t know, man, I think he’s just scared.”
Wars leaves, likely to go get something to clean the room up, and he carefully gets his hand back from Four’s ironclad grasp.
“Hyrule said you might be a little nauseous… you feeling any better after that?” He asks gently, getting a dazed blink in response.
He gently moves to the side of the bed, fingers brushing through Four’s soft hair.
The kid seems to be calmer now, no longer struggling.
Just dazed and weak and confused.
“Hey there.” He says gently, and Four’s eyes find him again. “You want anything? Food, water… bathroom?”
Four slowly shakes his head, eyes closing as he slowly relaxes.
“Still tired?” He asks softly as Wars returns, starts mopping up the floor.
A small shrug.
A tear slips down the kid’s face.
His heart sinks.
“Four, buddy…” he says softly, hand finding the smith’s shoulder. “He’s gonna be fine. We’re gonna find him.”
Another slow tear, then another.
“He’s gonna be fine.” He repeats as gently as he can, trying to get Four to look at him and failing.
“They’ll kill him.” Four whispers, voice breaking.
And the smith dissolves into sobs, not listening to a word he says.
“They’re gonna kill him they’ll kill him they have no reason to keep him alive now he’s gonna be dead-”
“Shh… no no, buddy, he’s gonna be just fine-”
Four tucks his knees to his chest, forehead touching his knees, and just sobs.
Flinches away from his touch, curling into a ball and flopping down on the bed.
Wars looks sadly at the kid, at a loss for words like him.
And all they can get out of the kid is sharp, broken sniffles as the kid hides himself away from the world with the blankets on the bed.
The captain sits on the edge of the bed, hand slowly finding the lump of blankets that’s currently their smithy.
Four slowly allows him to lay next to him, leaning his protective barrier to curl carefully into Wars’ side.
They they start coaxing answers out of their friend.
“Are you in a lot of pain, kiddo?” Wars asks softly, and Four shrugs awkwardly.
“Chest.” Four manages, blinking at the ceiling.
“Yeah… you busted your ribs, probably reaggravated them hurdling a table to kick the shit out of Time.” Wars smiles, which gets a sheepish twitch of the lips out of the smithy.
“Let’s see… your wrist was broken, though Hyrule’s sure he got that fixed up ok. The cuts all over… we weren’t able to magically heal those, we just tried to heal the worst of it. So the stab on your side was a priority, then your wrist, then your ribs…”
“Did you crack his sternum giving him CPR?” He asks without thinking, then both of their gazes snap to Four.
Four blinks. Eyes flicking from Wars to him then back to Wars.
“Bruised it, most likely.” Wars offers quietly.
Four doesn’t react.
“Think you could get your shirt off, bud?”
Four shakes his head. They leave it be.
Silence falls over them, lingering for a long couple of minutes.
“Do you know…” Wars starts finally, trailing off when he glances down to the smithy. He’s dozed off again, silently, eyes closed and breathing even.
Hand holding his, calloused skin pressing into his.
Wars sighs slowly, gently tucking a blanket over the kid and carefully sitting up.
“Sleep well, kiddo,” The captain whispers as he carefully leaves the bed.
~~~~
He wakes up slowly, groggily, stomach churning.
Slowly turns to lay on his back, and has to take a long moment to fight the urge to throw up anything in his stomach.
Once he’s sure he’s not going to vomit, he swallows carefully and grimaces at the taste in his mouth.
Maybe he had thrown up.
Upon opening his eyes, he can see Wars next to him, passed out in a chair, snoring softly, and- Time.
Sitting next to the captain, watching him intently.
He pulls his face into a scowl.
Time looks away, guilt flitting over his face.
“Four-”
He ignores the old man, slowly pushing himself to sit up. Has to pause and take a few deep breaths in order to not vomit, sitting back once he’s all the way up.
“You alright?” Time asks softly when he slowly relaxes.
“Don’t talk to me.” He mutters, the words not nearly as strong as he’d like.
Time has the audacity to flinch.
Look away for a minute, saying his name softly-
He snaps, sitting rigid again and shooting a harsh glare at the old man. “Don’t even,” he growls. “You lied to me. You promised me- you promised. And you still left him behind. He’s dead because of you.”
Time looks like he’d been slapped, but he stands and storms out of the room.
Staggers down the hall, hands clutching the wall, vision swaying and blurring and the floor sways under his feet…
Stupid blood loss. He’s dizzy and woozy and it won’t go away until he rests… but how can he when Sky…
Over the buzzing in his ears, he can hear familiar voices, soft conversation.
He staggers to follow them, down the hall, pausing at a door, listening intently, turning the handle and stumbling inside.
“Four!” Someone says, soft hands steadying him immediately.
“Hey, bud, how you feeling?” Another voice asks, and another asks if he wants anything to eat, water, a blanket, is he cold? He’s shivering, people are touching his back and his shoulders and someone’s hand touches the back of his head.
His arms reach out, finding as many of his friends as he’s able to, sinking into warm, soft arms.
“Sky.” He mumbles, eyes growing heavier and heavier.
“Shh… we’re gonna get him back, kiddo, you just rest. You’ve been brave enough already, we’ve got this one.” Someone whispers, and he thinks he manages a groggy nod.
Hands brush through his hair. His headband had been removed, leaving his hair free and in his face.
“We’re gonna get him back, bud. You just rest.” The voice says again, and he nods again. Gives a slow breath out, letting his eyes fall shut. That, he can do.

What if a contestant made co host cry?
(Tw: light injury, horror elements)
"Ah!"
You clutch your pulsating hand, water splashing over your blouse as you drop the bottle you held. It was half time during one of Host's shows and as reward for making it so far, and the kindness of your heart, you brought the contestant a spare water while Host was off taking care of other business. Annoyed by the lack of answers to their own questions and the unfortunate dismissal of a fellow contestant, they had slashed at you with pen used for writing their answers.
You skin glows bright red; the pen's point unable to pierce your flesh as you got away just in time, but there was still a decent scratch. You can feel tears blurring your vision as you look at contestant. If they hasn't been bolted to their spot you surely would've been seriously injured or dead by now.
"Get back here! I swear to God I'll fucking-"
The dim stage lights take a sudden boost in saturation. Music begins to play in the background, signaling the start of the next round and Host's return. With the blink of an eye, the tall man is sitting back in the chair behind a desk across the floor. He stands up, greeting the crows to roaring applause.
"And we're back, folks! Let's see what our lovely constant has been up to while we were gone!"
All cameras pan to the scene on the other side of the room. The constant staring at the screens around them like a dear in headlights, and you on the verge of tears. The stagelights grow even brighter, cameras honing in on your tear eyes. Host always feared something like this would happen. You've been such a good little helper than he thought giving you a little freedom and shutting off his eyes on stage would do no harm. It's impossible for him to give that space when there's forces around that could bring you harm. And now that the worse possible scenario has played out - he's pissed.
Host casually walks over, stagelights overhead popping without a sound with each step that he takes. A black substance leaks from their heads, dripping down the walls like dark sludge. He gently pushes you aside as he steps between you and the constant.
"Y/n. Go ask one of the stage hands to patch your hand. I'll be with you in a minute."
"But-"
"Now."
You leave without another word. Host places his hands behind his back; everlasting smile never leaving his face. In fact, it grows - spreading more and more until he's sporting a genuine tooth grin and not the mockery he normally wore. His mouth opens wide as he laughs; shoulders rocking from the force of his manic giggles. The sound deafening to the constant's ears. They try to cover them, but find themselves unable to move.
Host's laugher comes to an abrupt stop. He straightens himself as what's left of his eyes stare down at the trembling individual.
"I'm not sure what game shows you've seen, but we try to keep a family friendly air to things and the number one rule for us all is that we never hurt out special guest."
The constant magically finds their voice. "Don't fuck with me. I know the rest are dead!"
Host snickers. "Not you, silly. Our lovely co-host. We strive to make this environment a safe haven for them, and we can't have anyone who'd spoil their fun around, now can we?"
The previous quiet crowd whispers in agreement. Somewhere off in the distance, a buzzer rings. It rattles through the constant's teeth.
Host makes a noise of disproval, snapping his fingers. "Oh, so sorry. It seems like you've broken the most important ryle of our game, and therefore you must face a punishment round. Such a shame."
Everytime he opens his mouth, the constant can feel their head throb. The ooze from the broken lights starts to pool around them. They panic as it slowly seeps through the legs of their pains and onto their skin, microscopic barbs hooking into their flesh. Host's smile grows at the sight of their struggles.
"Fortunately for you, I'm a very forgiving man. If you manage to survive long enough and write a written apology for our co-host, we may forgive you and allow things to return to normal. As for where the punishment comes in, I'd say it's a rather easy one. Enjoy having your flesh slowly peeling from your muscles from the waist up until you can finish your task."
