Dedra Meero is everything people seem to see in Anakin. She's SO interesting, so fallible, such a mystery in terms of why she is the way she is, she's horrible, she's a bitch, I am never ever rooting for her, I hope she gets to defeat all of the other men in the ISB.

There is literally nothing about her that is a good person, she is an empty shell of a human being, devoid of any kind of sympathy, empathy, or compassion.

But my gosh is she COMPELLING. That emptiness is the entire point of her, it's the whole REASON she is terrifying. I never want to know her backstory, I never want a logical or sympathetic explanation for why she is the way she is, it would dilute her impact as a character.

I don't want her redeemed, I don't want her to be a Rebel, I have no interest in seeing her become a better person. I hope she gets assigned to the Death Star, or Scarif, and gets blown up.

But she is such an impeccably written villain, especially for the world created in Andor. I wish Star Wars had 10 other villains of this calibre.

One of the funniest things when rewatching TCW, is when Ahsoka develops an attraction towards Lux and divulges this to Anakin (Onderon arc), do you know what his response was?

One would think that he, a married man, would say that she deserves to explore this relationship with Lux seeing as they care deeply about each other

But nooooo, he says, in good conscience and earnest, that Ahsoka can't have these types of relationships and she needs to put the mission first

Like bro, c'mon now. You have a whole ass marriage that you consistently put before the mission

And Ahsoka isn't clueless, she knows at this point (Forces of Destiny) that he and Padme have something going on

I think the disco suit makes sense if you consider that Dick picked the least cringe superhero name of anybody in DC and the cringe had to go somewhere so it all went into that first suit design

My favorite part of this chapter is one could figure out what degree of culpability everyone has in this incident even from Tim's limited pov and perhaps when I'm less busy I will. The bit of setting each other off that sticks out separately from the pot finally boiling over is Tim taking offense to pod person manners, probably bc we got Dick's pov on that. It's the dichotomy of Korvin's understandable defense mechanism vs. Tim's outrage of why is he allowed to get away with that behavior when I can't.

but it's true. there are enough bits there, even if tim can't be everywhere (he wishes). even if someone has most of the pieces the limitation is their personal perspective and ability to interpret something objectively vs subjectively + understanding their own biases, and readers have a wider perspective than any single character bc they are more removed from the situation -> re: already have dick's pov on the pod person act + the (...false?) dichotomy of acceptable behavior from both :)

Continuing my reread of the first DLTD and its hilarious to me that one of the very first things Ciel does after getting in a relationship with Alois is scaring the absolute shit out of him using Slenderman.
