HIII maybe i could request for a blurb for dbf!hotch …. maybe him having baby fever when he sees you babysit your neighbor’s toddler & living the domestic life while ur parents are away :’) HEHEHE
today is multiverse monday! send me any au you can think of :)
(sfw blurb, but reader is over 18)
Aaron assumes you're on a phone call when he hears your sweet voice from around the corner, but when you turn and step onto the street you live across from him on, he sees you pushing a stroller.
"Was that fun? Going down the slides, and swinging on the swings, and playing with the soccer ball."
The baby you're pushing coos and babbles, fingers fiddling with the buckle in his lap then migrating to the sippy cup that's resting on the stroller's tray. You reach down to ruffle the boy's hair, smiling fondly at the child.
Aaron pokes his head out the front door as you pass his house, calling out for you, "You have a secret family I don't know about?"
You turn at his voice and he thinks his heart stops when your shiny eyes meet his own, the smile that had budded on your face at the baby's babbles blossoming in full as you speak to him.
"I'm babysitting for the Kims," You inform him, gesturing to a house a few cul-de-sacs away, "They're at a wedding today."
At the sight of Aaron, standing tall and broad in his doorway, the baby tears up. Soft, scared whines escape the poor boy's lips, and you laugh sympathetically, "Oh, baby, it's okay! That's Aaron, he's not as mean and scary as he looks."'
Aaron wants to tease you back, but he's only able to release a single chuckle before it dies in his throat. You swoop the baby out of the stroller, undoing the buckle with ease and cradling him to your chest. You bounce him slightly, rocking him back and forth while you croon at him.
"It's alright," You hum, kissing his forehead, "Aaron's my friend. He has a son, too! His name is Jack, and he likes spiderman."
The boy's eyes light up, and Aaron has a feeling there's a spiderman coloring book somewhere in your house. He steps over the threshold, approaching you slowly so that the baby doesn't startle. He does hide his face in your chest, but he doesn't fuss as Aaron stands beside you.
"Hi, buddy." Aaron reaches out to run his finger up the baby's arm. The little boy shivers at the ticklish sensation, and peeks at Aaron with a shy grin. You laugh in tandem, and Aaron thinks he'd pay to hear that sound for the rest of his life.
"Um, actually, Aaron," You glance up at him, and you can't deny the way your heart pounds at your close proximity, "I was wondering if you could come over later? My parents aren't home, so they can't watch him, but I need to shower. Or- or I can bring him to you, if that's better? I just don't want to leave him alone."
The thought of you showering, Aaron hates to admit, makes his head spin. But by design, he supposes what he's fantasizing about won't happen because he'll be watching the baby. Still, he's honored that you thought of him to help you, that you trusted him to help you, and he's nodding before he can think of what to say.
"Oh, um- of course! Yeah, I can come over. After dinner?"
Your eyes go wide, and you check your watch, "Oh god, uh, yeah. After dinner. I didn't realize how late it was, uh- I should order in now. I'll call you later, thanks Aaron!"
You grab the stroller in one hand, keeping the baby balanced on your hip with the other. You dart for your front door, but Aaron calls you back, striding slowly over to your front steps.
"Y/N!" He stops you with a single call of your name, "Wait. Why don't you come over to my house for dinner? You can just use my shower. I'm sure you've had a busy day, it might be nice not to stress about a meal."
"Oh," You gush, smiling sweetly at his offer, "It's okay. You weren't planning on me, then I'd just be stressing you out. I'll be fine, I'll order Chinese food or something."
"Chinese sounds great," Aaron grins, pulling his cell out of his pocket, eternally grateful that your father had a particular fondness for a Chinese restaurant in the city that you'd dined together at several times, "Your usual?"
You look like you want to push back again, insist that you can handle your own meal. But fatigue wins over, and your shoulders slump in relaxation.
"Yeah, thanks, Aaron. I just gotta get Sam's food," You gesture to your front door, "Do you want me over now, or whenever the food gets here?"
"You can shower first if that works," Aaron suggests, "Delivery usually takes a half-hour. Lemme take the baby, and you can relax."
He knows the childcare exhaustion from experience, and smiles fondly at the quick kiss you pop to Sam's cheek as Aaron takes him from you.
"Seriously, thank you, Aaron." You gush, laying a hand on his bicep and squeezing slightly, "I don't know what I'd do without you."
Your words nearly make Aaron's heart beat out of his chest, and all he can offer you is a dazed smile in response. You're off rocketing towards your house in search of baby food and body wash, and Aaron turns to Sam who's propped up against his chest when the door shuts behind you.
"Thanks for being here," Aaron coos, smiling fondly at the grinning baby, "You're a big help, little man."

Fic Update
So due to my hiatus, the future of my fics, especially the bodyswap crackfic, is uncertain. If anyone wants to continue my Disco Elysium fics or use stuff from them, feel free! Just link me and credit me!! (Bc ngl, I still want a bit of credit even tho you can't own fanfic. It's just like a pat on the head ;v;)
You don't need to ask permission at all, but I'd love you to let me know! I won't be logged in here, but I have email notifs. You can also directly email me at [email protected]
Besides silly ego reasons, I also want to get back into DE eventually. So I want to save your link to read it one day, especially if it has a happy/hopeful ending! Even if there's no happy ending, maybe in the future I'll have matured to a place where that'll be just as fun.
Soon, I'll post again one more time with ideas I had for separate future fics.
Have an except from ch 2!
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Psst! Kimbo. Hot stuff. Sweet cheeks. Forget the prices on the menu. It's our treat. You deserve a *real* breakfast.
YOU - No.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Yes! Just think of that juicy, dripping plate of pure sugar. Fluffy pancakes absolutely smothered in syrup. The tart kiss of fruit on your tongue. We should eat that for every meal until the end of time. Together.
YOU - The dull ache in your newly crooked jaw flares as you clench it out of habit. You pointedly take another piece of wholemeal toast.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Come on, baby! Put down the bland shit. Let me show you all the sweetness that these new taste buds can detect!
YOU - When you had thought that Harry had an addictive personality, this is not quite what you meant.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Yeah well, when I thought I wanted you inside us, this wasn't what I meant, either.
YOU - You choke. The bread in your mouth almost goes flying across the table.
If you're curious, below were my plans for the bodyswap. All cws from the fic like ableism and racism still apply.
I had decided to make the whole thing follow Kim's pov bc Skills.
Through the story, both Kim and Harry grow kinder to themselves about their own struggles through coaching each other through life in their bodies.
Kim dislikes the Skills at first. He feels that they're harmful and gets defensive about how they talk abiut Harry. He also is alarmed about how Pain Threshhold and Half Light talk about harming themselves and harming others.
At one point, Kim in Harry's body experiences a stress-induced Loop when people get suspicious about how Harry's acting. "I'm not feeling like myself today." x100 Not comedic framing, I wrote it as distressing to experience bc it is.
Harry as Kim experiences racism and almost gets into several altercations. Kim has to intervene each time. Kim coaches Harry on how to adjust his posture and demeanour to discourage would-be hecklers. Harry hates that this is necessary.
Kim notices the green and yellow outlines of Harry's 'Detective vision' and thinks of them as hallucinations and discounts their significance.
Volition is desperately trying to run damage control.
Physical Instrument and Endurance take turns both complimenting Kim's strong body and indirectly insulting him with their 'bino' talk.
I have fun with Half Light turning aggressively protective. I know he's antagonistic to outside threats, but I think he can also be angry and scared for people that he cares about.
Harry is distressed af by the quiet and asks Kim to talk and fill the silence. Idk the comfort plus Kim awkwardly trying to ramble for him was cute.
Kim unsuccessfully tries to pop psych-away ARB and Limbic System. By the end of the story, he instead accepts them as people who are suffering just like Harry. The dream duo aren't nearly as antagonistic towards Kim as they are to Harry. In fact, they warn him away to 'save' Kim. They do however enjoy insulting Harry and having Kim getting protective. (Despite it all, it feels good to them that Harry is loved, even tho they can only find out in a twisted way)
Kim slowly grows to appreciate and bond with the Skills. He gets to use them on a case, and he Ace's Highs them by clapping Harry's hands together. ❤️
Kim and Harry eventually find the solution to the body swap. Harry learns to overcome his awkward secretiveness about his Skills as he coaches Kim through his first real Shivers check. Kim learns to be more open about the Skills' expertise and how they help Harry.
They learn that the solution is to fall asleep and dream in the tent again. The phasmid chemicals + the Pale switched them, and they can switch back the same way.
Fun twist: at the end, the Skills call out to Kim from Harry, and Kim can hear them!
Kim now had 25 boyfriends. It's implied they will fuck nasty about it. The end.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what Kim does for fun, like hobbies. Her drawings on the Howard board were cute, I wondered if she doodles in her spare time (jesse moment)
this is such a fun question! i've long had a very indulgent headcanon that kim was secretly artistic, because i liked thinking that she'd painted the birds in her apartment (rhea's birds!), they're so pretty and have a personal, handpainted feeling to them, you couldn't find those in a store. i thought she might've been an artistic child and poured a lot of herself into focusing on that when she was lonely and struggling, one thing she could always rely on when they moved from place to place. she definitely doodles in her spare time! additionally, we see her with her cello in that S5 flashback, and i'm kind of obsessed with how it never comes up (especially since rebecca is a concert violinist! kim also playing a string instrument, at least in her youth - i am looking at the mcgill brothers), and i wonder if she had to give up music because of the cost, or because she knew it wasn't a reliable, guaranteed way to get out of red cloud. did she pursue anything musically in college or entirely pivot? did she enjoy playing? cello isn't something most kids would pick up lightly (literally too lol). i like to think she did love it and felt unfettered when she played, that it was a way to channel all the big things she was feeling and couldn't display or say, but that for whatever reason she left it in her past. i also long thought she enjoyed doing puzzles (so waterworks was validating in the most horrendously nightmarish way possible?), not only jigsaw puzzles, but crosswords and things like that to exercise/distract her brain and de-stress. she reads a lot, all different types of books, for entertainment and knowledge and escape, and she reads case law (she says to stay sharp, but it's also for fun). and of course she loves her classic movies.
@anextrapart has written some lovely posts about her taking up/floundering at gardening that i adore (https://anextrapart.tumblr.com/post/692891044553129984/tell-me-more-about-kims-failed-attempts-at, https://anextrapart.tumblr.com/post/693074331973091328/i-wanna-hear-more-about-jimmy-cooking-for-kim-with), and i agree that kim never particularly enjoys cooking because it's tied to her having to depend on and care for herself during her childhood, but i do think the management aspect of gardening and the distracting outlet for her using her hands would be appealing to her. she attempts to pick up some kind of needlework (crochet, embroidery) thinking she'd like the precision, but she keeps dropping stitches and stabbing herself and gives it up in annoyance, goes back to painting free-form and losing herself in the brush strokes. she ends up with even more tiled rows of bird studies, but whenever she expresses that maybe she's done too many, jimmy says he loves them. their colors, their wings, their freedom. he went too many years without seeing birds - in the desert and prison. he swears if he's still for long enough, he can almost hear them singing. or maybe that's just how he feels finally being with her.

Dear Yuletide writer 2022
This is a rehash of my optional details, in case a bookmark-able post is easier to work with. I'm SpaceJackalope on Ao3, if context gets separated. My account is set to receive treats, and they are welcome! I'm excited to see what you write, and hope you have fun.
The Queen's Thief - Megan Whalen Turner
Characters field left intentionally blank, I am happy to receive any nominated characters.
I am particularly interested in post-canon ideas, missing scenes (MWT release the Attolian wedding night in Moira's Pen challenge), and fics centered around Gen (and/or other Thieves) stealing things. I like all explicitly canon ships and Comet, but do not need it to be a shippy fic to be very happy.
DNW: Sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence (I do not consider canon-typical throwing things to be this), Kamet/Nahuseresh, child death (may reference canonical miscarriage, but please don't be more graphic than canon), forced marriages (arranged fine), or AUs that change the setting. A Strange and Stubborn Endurance - Foz Meadows
Characters field left intentionally blank, I am happy to receive any nominated characters, and worldbuilding.
I am particularly interested in a Velasin/Caethari/Liran threesome, Caethari & Markel bonding, and Caethari/Velasin having a break from all the canon stress. I would also enjoy a case fic (solving a new mystery) if you feel so inclined, particularly if it's lower stakes than in canon ;)
DNW: Fresh incidents of sexual assault or abuse, canon-atypical discussion of the same, domestic violence, child death, or AUs that change the setting.
A Lady for a Duke - Alexis Hall
Justin de Vere (Gracewood) and Viola Carroll
I would like a romantic and/or steamy fic about them set between the final chapter and the epilogue! I just love them, and I'd like to see them at the established relationship point.
Other characters fine, but I would like the focus to be Gracewood/Viola.
DNW: Sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, child death, or AUs that change the setting.
The Tarot Sequence - K.D. Edwards
Addam St. Nicholas, Brandon St. John, Rune St. John
I would like a fic dealing with their three-way bond. Literally the psychic three-way bond they're developing as of The Hourglass Throne, if you like! I also particularly enjoy the co-parenting element of the series, but please take that as zero pressure, I know the kids aren't in the tagset :)
DNW: Rune and Brand having sex together, sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, child death, or AUs that change the setting.
Lord Peter Wimsey - Dorothy L. Sayers
Harriet Vane, Peter Wimsey
I would like Harriet/Peter and ideally a case fic, or at least talking about a case--no solution necessary! I also love the idea of "missing scene" fic from their will-they, won't-they era. Feel free to include any supporting characters in a major capacity, I'm just most invested in the romance this year.
DNW: Sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, child death, or AUs that change the setting.
The Hollows - Kim Harrison
Pike Welroe, Rachel Morgan, Trent Kalamack
Hi I'm trash and I want one thing very much and that's a Rachel/Trent/Pike threesome. Head empty, no thoughts, just this.
Oh wait, I also think it would be fun to see Rachel and Trent (no Pike needed) on one of those kitschy dates I enjoy so much in canon (bowling, roller skating).
DNW: Sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, child death, or AUs that change the setting.

K-Pop Spotlight: WEi
To celebrate their latest comeback, we met up with boy group WEi to discuss their sound and favorite lyrics, being a young person in today’s society, and dream dinner guests. The new mini-album, [IDENTITY: Challenge], is their second release, following their explosive debut under OUI Entertainment last October. Check out our full interview below.
For someone who’s never listened to your music before, how would you describe your music/sound to them?
JANG DAE HYEON: A team that creates intense, melancholic, sexy, or united music.
KIM DONG HAN: I want to be a group that is good at everything.
YOO YONG HA: Once you listen, you can’t stop listening!
KIM YO HAN: A team that has become one and makes WEi’s unique music.
KANG SEOK HWA: WEi’s music is addictive and full of charisma. Please show us a lot of love!
KIM JUN SEO: Music that can show who we are.
What’s your favorite lyric from your discography and why?
JANG DAE HYEON: ‘I’ll turn this moment into eternity.’
KIM DONG HAN: TIMELESS because it’s a song we sing while thinking of RUi.
YOO YONG HA: ‘I’ll turn this moment into eternity now’ from TIMELESS. The lyrics are so pretty because they talk about wanting to remember each and every moment.
KIM YO HAN: ‘I’ll open a sweet day for you anytime.’ The reason is that we are able to start the morning with a sweet and happy feeling.
KANG SEOK HWA: I like the lyric ‘Even if the world turns its back on us, you don’t need to stop’ from our new title track. As the lyric suggests, I think it conveys the meaning of walking on your own path without worrying about others’ opinions.
KIM JUN SEO: ‘In the picturesque blue light.’ I like this lyric because I feel like it contains RUi.
Some would say being a young person is especially hard these days. If you could give your younger self advice on coping with the pressures of society, what would you tell them?
JANG DAE HYEON: People are usually self-centered and feel that their work is the most difficult. I think it is necessary to think positively and find ways to compliment yourself in everything you do. It’s important to live while finding hobbies that make you happy.
KIM DONG HAN: Don’t be discouraged and do what you want!
YOO YONG HA: I still think I’m young, so I’m not sure if I can really provide advice, but I hope everyone cheers up!
KIM YO HAN: All you need to do is walk on your path. Good luck!
KANG SEOK HWA: If you try to approach everything with a positive attitude, I think you become a very positive person as well.
KIM JUN SEO: Even if there’s something that worries you, don’t think about it too deeply. I hope you find great happiness even in the littlest of things.
What’s one thing that scares you and one thing that excites you?
JANG DAE HYEON: Something I’m scared of is having to work with someone who I don’t like or don’t match well with. Something that excites me is when I’m able to get good results in what I do.
KIM DONG HAN: Being lonely. Meat.
YOO YONG HA: What I’m most scared of is being lonely and what makes me most excited is RUi!
KIM YO HAN: Something scary is COVID-19 and RUi gives me the most happiness.
KANG SEOK HWA: There’s not really anything I’m scared of. As for something that excites me, I think it’s music.
KIM JUN SEO: I’m scared of ghosts and something that makes me excited is rice.
If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
JANG DAE HYEON: My mom. She’s the reason I live.
KIM DONG HAN: My mom. The reason is that, well—she’s my mom.
YOO YONG HA: My grandma. I want to cook dinner for her.
KIM YO HAN: My family. They are always precious.
KANG SEOK HWA: I want to be with my grandparents, who raised me since I was young and showed me unconditional love until now.
KIM JUN SEO: My parents. Every meal I eat with my parents is the most delicious.
If you had to choose only one musical artist to listen to for the rest of your lives, who would it be and why?
JANG DAE HYEON: Justin Bieber, because his music is unique and fresh.
KIM DONG HAN: BTS, because they have a variety of great songs.
YOO YONG HA: WEi, because we have to listen to our songs to be able to perform on stage.
KIM YO HAN: For me, it would be BTS.
KANG SEOK HWA: I want to listen to WEi’s songs because we plan on trying new things with diverse music.
KIM JUN SEO: BTS. They have sung all of my favorite genres. I love them so much.
Outside of music, what are you most passionate about? Are there any hobbies you use to de-stress?
JANG DAE HYEON: I try to focus on my diet and appearance because I think they are important. I meet my friends and spill all of my concerns to de-stress.
KIM DONG HAN: I watch movies or dramas.
YOO YONG HA: Doing puzzles is fun!
KIM YO HAN: I like to watch dramas.
KANG SEOK HWA: Before COVID-19, I remember going to karaoke a lot.
KIM JUN SEO: I like to go on a walk outside and also like to play games. I’m the type of person who feels happiness even in little things.

Congratulations on getting your Bachelor’s and I hope you don’t mind but it gave me the idea for another salt prompt where the class graduates and they try to get Lila to pony up on her promises to get them to there dream jobs and colleges but they can’t because she lied and they see Marinette (and anyone else you wish to spare) got in to there colleges (and/or jobs) because they knew Lila was lying and they put in the work to get to there College(and/or jobs) (thank you for your time
Thank you so much for the congratulations! and of course I don’t mind, this was fun to write. I hope you like it!
It was finally time. Mrs. Bustier’s class was graduating from lycée. Over the years since collège, the class had become very divided. The source of the division? Lila. It had been years since she had threatened Marinette with taking away all her friends. Lila had enthralled many people in the class, only a few people were able to see through her lies. Nino, Alix, Nathaniel, Chloe, and Kim had all realized that Lila had been lying over the years. They had stuck with Marinette through everything. Even when Lila had started lying and saying Marinette was bullying her. The rest of the class couldn’t understand why those five won’t leave Marinette behind. She was bullying the sweetest girl in the whole class.
 --------------------
Adrien was essentially a neutral party in all of this. He knew that Marinette wasn’t bullying Lila. He wanted to say something, to defend her like the other four. But his father had forbidden it. He was told that he needed to ‘maintain good relations’ with Lila for the good of the brand. He was also told that if he failed to do this, he would be pulled out of school. Marinette knew about this and completely understood. Adrien still helped where he could, by telling Marinette if Lila was telling any particularly heinous lies about her when she wasn’t there.
 --------------------
Chloe and Marinette weren’t exactly friends per say, but they had a truce between them. Chloe had apologized to Marinette right when they started lycée for treating her poorly. Marinette had forgiven her for the most part, but they still weren’t best friends. Instead, they had agreed not to go after one another and Chloe was more focused on messing with Lila. Afterall, Chloe didn’t like sharing the spotlight with ‘an utterly ridiculous girl’ like Lila.
 ---------------------
It became clear after a time that part of what made the class take Lila’s side was the promises she made them. Lila had promised the people in the class to help them with their chosen careers. Lila would always boast, “Well, since I know so many people in so many industries, it should be easy to help you guys reach your goals.” Alya of course wanted to be a journalist and Lila had told her, “Well, I know the executive editor for the New York Times. I’m sure Dean would love to have you join his team. I’ll put in a good word for you.”
 --------------------
Lila had come to a rehearsal for Kitty Section at one point and had told Juleka, Rose, and Ivan, “I know a bunch of people in the music industry. There is one music producer in particular from LA that would love to help you record a real album.” Luka got suspicious at this, knowing what Marinette had told him about this girl, and asked, “Well, then why don’t you put us in contact with them now?” Lila had an angry look flash across her face, that no one but Luka seemed to notice. Then she plastered a smile on her face and said in an overly sweet tone, “Oh Luka, I would love to. But they won’t work with kids. They only want to work with people who have at least graduated from school.” Juleka, Rose, and Ivan took what she said as the truth at face value. Luka however knew that the excuse she just gave was complete nonsense. There were plenty of teenage musicians and bands. But Juleka, Rose, and Ivan were now anxiously awaiting the day they graduated and could start working with this music producer. Since they thought they already had a music producer willing to work with them, the group eventually stopped practicing and performing. Luka ended up leaving the group, and ended up playing with Jagged Stone on tour once Luka graduated. The rest of the members of Kitty Section worried that this would affect their chances with the music producer Lila talked about, but she reassured them by saying the producer would be able to find a new guitarist for them when they signed with him. With that reassurance, the group stopped worrying and continued looking forward to their bright future in LA.
 --------------------------
Sabrina really wanted to go to École des Ponts ParisTech and study management. She knew that it was a very selective school. They only let 2000 people in each term. But she wanted to go to this school more than anything. It is one of the premier schools in the country and is also considered one of the best schools in the world. Chloe was planning to go to École des Ponts ParisTech to study management as well. At least that was the plan. They were both going to go together and Sabrina had been banking on Chloe to help her get in. But when the class had split over Marinette and Lila, Sabrina and Chloe stopped being friends. Now, Sabrina was very concerned that she wouldn’t get into the school of her dreams. That was until Lila mentioned, “Oh yeah, I know the guy in charge of admissions since I returned his lost dog to him. I’ll put in a good word for you, and then you will definitely get in. He really values my opinion.” Sabrina was over the moon when she heard this. Now she didn’t have to stress about getting into her dream school, and could just enjoy her time with her new best friend.
 ----------------------
Mylene had wanted to go into politics for a while. She wanted to help improve conditions for everyone she knew. She had always been an activist, but she knew it would be hard to cause any real change as an activist. The only way she could effect some real change would be if she were to get into some kind of political office.  Mylene really wanted to go to European School of Political and Social Sciences to get a degree in political science. That would really help Mylene in her pursuit of a political office. She was pretty sure that she would be able to get in, but she was naturally still worried. She knew they looked at extracurricular activities as well. They would want to have a student body that was active in their communities. Mylene had been planning to participate in many more community service programs before they all graduated to help pad her application. But Lila had told her, “You are fine Mylene. I talked with the admissions director for you. She couldn’t say anything official. But she did imply that you are already guaranteed admittance into the school. She essentially told me to let her know when we all graduated and she would push the application through.” Mylene was ecstatic to hear that. Especially because it meant she didn’t need to participate in any additional community service projects. She could spend more time with her friends in class and her boyfriend.
 -----------------------
It was obvious to everyone that Max wanted to work in video game programing. It was something that he really enjoyed doing, especially after creating the video game that was based on akumas. He was worried about finding a place that would be willing to bring him into their team. Sure, he had experience in programming a video game, but the game had never actually been published or sold. It was just played by his friends. He ultimately wanted to work at a big-name gaming company like Quantic Dream. But he was sure he would have to work his way up to that by starting at a smaller, lesser known, company. But then when he was discussing his plans with Lila, she told him, “Oh, don’t worry about it Max. I am very close with the head video game director for Ubisoft. They even had me come in and do some of my original choreography for the newest Just Dance game. I’m sure if I talked with him, he would hire you to be one of his programmers.” Max was thrilled to hear that he wouldn’t have to start at the bottom. He never thought he would start his career with such a big company like Ubisoft. So, Max stopped sending in the applications to the smaller companies and ignored any that asked for an interview. He didn’t need a job with them anymore.
 --------------------
As time went on, the class saw how the five students who had stayed with Marinette worked towards their goals. They thought is was funny that they had to work so hard for their dreams. If they had just left the bully and become friends with Lila, they wouldn’t have to work so hard. Nino had to work several smaller gigs as a DJ, but he did eventually build a fan base. Because of this, he got invited to DJ at bigger events and parties. He was eventually even contacted by a music producer that wanted to help Nino put out his first album. Nino was thrilled and couldn’t stop talking about it. The class was excited for him, but couldn’t help but think that things would have been easier for him if he had just sided with Lila. The members of Kitty Section in the class were confused, since Lila had told them that the music producers she knew didn’t work with anyone who hadn’t graduated yet. But Lila quickly covered her tracks by saying, “The music producers I know are all quality. They are all big-name producers. The guy talking with Nino is probably just a small-time producer.” The rest of the class was still happy for Nino, but they did feel bad for their friend working with such a small producer. The class also was happy for Nathaniel when his comic was officially published. He was also accepted into an excellent art school. Chloe did end up getting accepted into the management program at École des Ponts ParisTech by early decision. It made Sabrina nervous that she hadn’t heard anything, but Lila was quick to reassure her that she would be accepted as well. Alix was also becoming recognized as a pro skater.  She had won several competitions and was being considered for admittance into the X-games in Asia. Kim had also began training even harder for swimming. He was working hard to qualify for the Olympics. He was going to be competing at a qualifying competition a few weeks after the graduation ceremony. The class was happy to see these five students close to achieving their dreams. Marinette was even working hard toward her dream. She had launched a website to receive commissions and it was quite successful. Marinette had gained several celebrities as clients and was making a good profit. The class was less thrilled that the class bully was so successful. But in a few days, Lila would help them all achieve their dreams.
 ----------------------
The day of the graduation ceremony arrived and the class was all very happy to graduate. Marinette and her friends were excited to begin this new chapter in their lives. They all had their plans to achieve their goals and were well on their way to achieving their dreams. They felt a little sorry for their classmates. They knew that the class had listened to Lila and her lies and hadn’t put in any work lately for their goals. The only one that would be ok from that group would probably be Lila. She still had her job with Gabriel and if she decided to, she could probably get other modeling jobs now too. But the Marinette and her friends didn’t feel bad for long. They had tried to warn the class, but the class hadn’t listened to them. As Marinette and her friends left to go celebrate, the rest of the class stayed behind to talk with Lila. They wanted to know about the promises Lila had made them. Sabrina and Mylene had yet to hear from the schools they had applied to and none of the others had heard back about the jobs they wanted. Lila had been dodging them for a while, but they just assumed that she was preparing everything for them. But now, they had graduated and they needed to know what was going on. They all bombarded Lila with questions and Lila began looking more and more irritated. Lila just wanted to leave. She didn’t need these idiots anymore. They were helpful in school when they were doing the work for her, but now she could focus on modeling for Gabriel. So, the class no longer served any use. She eventually just exclaimed, “Would you guys just SHUT UP?! Look, I lied. I only said that stuff so you would do anything I asked. And it worked. You all fawned over me for years, and even did all my work. So, thanks but now that school is done and I already have a modeling job, I don’t need you anymore. So, there are no jobs waiting for you guys, and I didn’t talk to any admissions people for you two. See you never losers.” With that, Lila walked away and left the class in shock. The class was horrified as they realized they had fallen for the lies that Lila had fed them. They hadn’t done any work for their dreams. They realized that they were going to have some extreme difficulty reaching their goals now. Sabrina and Mylene would have to wait until next term to apply to their respective schools. Max was now regretting turning down all those interviews with the smaller gaming companies. The members of Kitty Section were distraught. Not only was there no music producer waiting for them, but they had also lost Luka as their guitarist. Alya was horrified. Not only did she not have an inside track with a person at the New York Times, but she had posted about Lila’s stories all over her blog. If Lila had lied about all of these schools and jobs, she probably lied about everything else. That blog was her only journalistic experience and if she used that on any applications to a news publication, they would laugh her out of the office. She really should have checked the sources, then none of this would have happened. Then the whole class realized what had happened with Marinette. Marinette had been telling the truth. And they were all cruel to her because of it. She tried to warn all of them, but they didn’t listen.
 -------------------
Lila had thought she had gotten away with everything. She had gotten through school without having to do any of the work. Now she had a modeling job with one of the biggest names in the fashion industry and could easily get another if she needed. And Adrien was all hers now, his father was keeping him in line. What she didn’t realize is now the threat that was keeping him from exposing her was gone. Adrien’s father couldn’t pull him out of school, since he had already graduated. What Lila also hadn’t realized was that Adrien had been at the edge of the school and had filmed the whole interaction with the class. He had her on film saying that she was a liar. He was happy to finally be able to take direct action against the liar. She may be akumatized for it, and he would feel bad. But he and Ladybug would handle it. With that thought in mind, he posted the video.
--------------------
The public reaction was swift. All of Adrien’s followers saw the video and quickly shared it, horrified that their idol had been working with such a horrible girl. The video was seen millions of times in just a few hours. By the next morning, it had made headline news. Everyone in France and several people around the world new of Lila Rossi, the liar of Paris. Gabriel was inundated with hundreds of complaints about the girl, asking how he could employ a liar like her. Gabriel knew that Lila made a good ally for his less legal activities, but she had quickly become a liability for his fashion brand. He had Lila called to the mansion for a meeting. Lila was unaware of the now viral video, and hadn’t realized that most of Paris knew about her. She arrived at the mansion and was immediately escorted into the study. Gabriel didn’t say anything, just played the video for Lila. Lila paled with every passing second. How had she not noticed someone filming her. At the end of the video Gabriel coldly told her, “You have become a liability for my brand. I can’t have you in my employ anymore. Mrs. Rossi, you are fired. Leave my house immediately and do not attempt to contact me any further.” With that, the girl was escorted from the premise.
-------------------------
After everything, the members of the class that had sided with Lila had been having a hard time achieving their goals. Mylene had managed to be accepted into her school, but the others weren’t as lucky. Sabrina went to a different school than the one she had planned. Kitty Section had found a new guitarist and was having small success at local venues. But they haven’t been signed by anyone yet. Alya had been unable to get a job at a newspaper at the moment and was instead writing her own online magazine. Max did end up getting a job at a smaller video game company, but hadn’t had any success in getting a job with a bigger company yet. Lila was not able to get any other modeling jobs. She ended up working at a small café, still trying to get her big break. Marinette and her friends on the other hand were doing quite well. Chloe was doing well in school. Nino had become a very successful DJ with a few albums already released. Alix was competing in several competitions and had done very well in the X-games in Asia. Kim had ended up qualifying for the Olympics and was set to compete in the next summer Olympics. Nathaniel had become a very successful comic book artist and was looking at a job with Marvel. Marinette herself was doing very well with her fashion. She had designed for several celebrities and continued to design for Jagged for several of his tours. She had become a big name in fashion. Her and her friends were all doing well and met up several times since graduation. One day they went to a small café near their old school. When they went inside, the person at the register taking their order was none other than Lila. Marinette and her friends were happy that Lila had gotten what she deserved. And Lila was furious that her rival was so successful. She tried to kiss up to Marinette in the hopes the girl would give her a modeling job. Marinette just laughed and said, “Why would I give you a job? As I recall, you said we were at war.” Lila tried to give a fake apology, but Marinette didn’t buy it. The group of friends took their food and left the liar behind, glad to be rid of her.

Declawing the Cat- Chapter 1
He just couldn’t figure her out. No matter how many times he’s tried to wrap his head around it, Felix Graham de Vanily couldn’t solve the mystery of Marinette Dupain-Chang; not why she did the things she did, or how, or why she seemed to infuriate him to no end…
It had all started when his brick head of a cousin had the bright idea to convince his mother to transfer him to his school. The two of them had recently moved closer to the Agreste household for more “family solidarity”, but it seemed as though Adrien needed even more quality time with cousin dear.
“Are you sure this is a good idea, Adrien? You know Felix isn’t the most social child. Do you really think that your classmates will welcome him as you say they will, even after the incident?”
“I’m positive, Aunt Amilie. The kids in my class are very kind and believe in redeeming others if they apologize. I have no doubt in my mind that they’ll forgive him. I mean, look at how they accepted me when I first started going there. They could have shunned me and thrown me aside like trash, but now I have a lot of friends. The same will happen with Felix, for sure.”
“Well, if you really think so, then it's a beautiful idea,” said Amilie avidly. “What about you, gabriel? Do you think that our sons should go to school together?”
“It will be beneficial for Adrien to have a good influence around the school with him to make sure that he doesn’t try to rebel and become like his… recalcitrant peers,” said gabriel without glancing up from his designs.
“And you, Felix? Do you want to go to College Francoise-Dupont?”
Felix gulped. He didn’t really want to go to school with his ridiculous cousin, but his mother really seemed to like the idea, and he’d hate to disappoint her ...
So that’s how Felix ended up going to school with the same kids he duped. Even though Adrien can be way too gullible (someone really needs to tell him that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and not everyone can be trusted), Felix soon found that he was indeed right about his friends. When he arrived there a few weeks ago, it only took a small smile and a half-baked apology to get them to trust him. One might think that Felix would be sulking at the mere thought of going to school with these losers, but he had decided beforehand that if he was going to have any fun at this school, he was going to have to toy with this naive group of teenagers to cause some trouble, and what better way to do that than to make them think he was on their side?
“Guys, this is my cousin Felix. He’s going to be attending school with us for now on. I know you guys will take him in with open arms.”
Kim cut in. “Is this the same cousin that pretended to be you and replied to the videos you sent us?”
Nino had something to say as well. “Why should we trust anything he has to say? He hasn’t exactly given us any reason to like him.”
“Yeah, how can you expect us to just become friends with us after what he did? He’s a liar!” Alya declared.
The rest of the class chimed in with arguments of their own, and who can blame them? It definitely didn’t feel good to be deceived. Soon, the whole courtyard was filled with angry yells and upset students. Adrien, bless him, was trying his best to calm them down and explain.
“Well-”
Felix cleared his throat. Talking ceased and all eyes were on him: Adrien’s glancing nervously, and the others’ full-on glares.
“Hello, everyone. As Adrien just told you, my name is Felix Graham de Vanily. To answer your question, Mr. Le Chein, yes, I’m the cousin of Adrien’s that impersonated him and sent you a cruel response to your heartfelt videos. For that, I am deeply sorry. I have no excuse for what I did. I can only hope that you all will find it in your hearts to forgive me for my terrible sin.”
You could hear a pin drop. All of the students were giving each other and Felix calculating looks. Should they believe him? Was he really telling the truth? After a few beats of deafening silence, Mylene spoke up.
“If you’re really sorry...”
“Oh, I am, you can be sure of that, Ms. Haprele,” Felix nodded, puppy eyes fully on show.
“Then… I suppose everyone deserves a second chance, right guys?” she continued, looking around at the others.
Slowly, the rest of the group started nodding their heads. Where there was anger and hurt towards Felix was now acceptance and forgiveness. Why not forgive him? Of course he was telling the truth! Why on Earth would someone lie to gain our trust only to be able to play us for fools right underneath our noses? It’s not like it’s ever happened before. Oh, if only Lila was here to greet our new friend! It’s too bad she’s away in America doing her internship at NASA!
The group, who were once resentful and angry at the fancily-dressed boy that was in front of them, began to crowd around him, smiles and name introductions all around. By the way they were acting, you would have thought that they all have been friendly with Felix since birth. Amazing what the power of deception held when used right.
He recognized most of them from the terrible videos they had sent Adrien: the manic pixie girl, the ultra-nerd, the stupid jock, the wannabe dj and his amautur reporter girlfriend.
And what a reporter she was! Neither she nor her dim-witted friends could see through his act. They followed him like lost puppies looking for an owner. The only person who didn’t seem to believe him was her. Felix didn’t see her in the schoolyard for his “apology”, and he noticed she never seemed to be around if he’s in the room.
Honestly, he’d thought that Marinette would have been the easiest person to convince. Only a silly, pigtail-twirling, school girl would send such a pathetic confession. “AdRiEn, I LoVe YoU. I’Ll AlWaYs Be ThErE If YoU NeEd Me”. Puh-lease.
But she never seemed to be around, Felix didn’t see her in the schoolyard for his “apology”, and he noticed she never seemed to be around unless they were in class. He sat in the back, and spent most of his time conjuring up plans to recruit her, for after a few days of observations, he’d been able to work out that he had underestimated her. By a lot. Felix found out that she was class president and a good one at that. She was seen as a leader by the others, but it didn’t seem like she used deception to earn that respect. She was actually kind-hearted, selfless, and true. If she wasn’t so annoying and stubborn, those characteristics might have even been...admirable. She really could be a great ally to have by his side. But by jove, was she ever making it difficult. Eventually, he’s been able to talk to her alone. To sum it up, it definitely could have gone better.
During lunch hour, Marinette was on a bench in the park. She was sketching on a notepad, most likely designs for a new sewing project. Felix learned from Adrien that Marinette was a very talented aspiring designer, which took Felix by surprise. You’d never guess that this girl was into fashion by the way she dressed (Felix could not stress enough how atrocious those pigtails were), but he digresses. He isn’t here to insult Marinette’s clothes, though he could do so some other time. He took a deep breath and strode over to Marinette’s seat.
“Ah, Ms. Dupain-Cheng! How lovely it is to see you. We never seem to talk, do we? It is quite a shame really.”
Marinette didn’t move a muscle. It was as though he hadn’t said a word! Ok, well, give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she’s really focused on her drawing?
“I must say, that is a lovely suit that is a lovely suit you’re designing there. I love the use of gold thread on the pants. If I may make a few suggestions-”
“No, you may not. As a matter of fact, I’m going to stop you right there. Don’t say another word.”
“I-I beg your pardon?”
“You heard me.” Marinette set her notepad aside on the bench and rose up from the bench to look him in the eye . Never in his life had Felix seen a stronger glare, and even though he was a good head taller than Marinette, he felt as though she could crush him like a grape. Of course, he didn’t let it show. What would it say about him that he shakes like a kitten in the presence of a 4’ 11” teenage girl?
“Now Felix, I’m only going to say this once, so listen up. I know you have everyone else fooled with your nice act, but I’m not as stupid as you seem to assume. You think you’re the first fake I came across? Don’t make me laugh; you’re not even close. Heck, next to Lila, you’re just a petty gossip. The rest of our classmates seem to have put the video incident in the past, but let me make it crystal clear that it is still fresh in my mind. I meant to share something extremely personal with Adrien, we all did, and you screwed that up. You hurt all of us carelessly as if our feelings were nothing more than spinning tops. You know what that makes you?”
Dumbfounded, Felix couldn’t do much more than shake his head.
“It makes you a little bitch. And I don’t associate with little bitches. So unless you can prove to me that you really are turning over a new leaf for good, I don’t want to say one word to you unless absolutely necessary and vise versa. I’ll stay out of your hair, and you WILL stay out of mine. Capisce?
Without waiting for a reply, Marinette turned her heel, grabbed her notebook, and began the walk back to school.
Well, he must admit that Marinette won that round. She certainly was a challenge, but luckily, for Felix liked puzzles. He was going to get Mari to like him, even if it took every ounce of strength and scheming he had in his body.

A Love That Lasts │ Chapter ⅠⅠⅠ

Genre: Parent!Au, Dad!Bang Chan, Fluff, Nonidol!Au, smut in a later chapter
Word Count: 2.7k
Part I │Part II │
A night out did you some good. It wasn’t that you ever felt deprived of nights out over the past few years, you just never craved for them. Your way of de-stressing from work was hanging out with Chan and Minseo at a park, watching a movie, going to a cafe with your coworkers, but you haven’t let go and just drank to your heart's content, not since college.
And sure, maybe your broken heart had something to do with, but they didn’t need to know that. As far as they were concerned you were just letting loose.
“Another order of shots please~” you waived down the waiter, signaling for a round for the table.
Minho steadied your swaying body, lowering your glass. “Maybe you should slow down”
“Awww come on, I never drink” you pouted, before tossing back another glass.
“All the more reason to slow down. What happened anyway?” he frowned. “I thought you were going to talk to Lover boy today”
You laughed, a little too loudly covering just how hurt you still were. “Well lover boy has a date tomorrow night Soooooo” you swayed before reaching for his beer, no longer satisfied with your empty glass. “I guess he wasn’t that into me”
“A date isn’t the end of the world you know…”
“He has a date with a young model, and Chris is perfect… he’s handsome and so kind and…” you sniffled as your frown deepened. “Too good for me”
Minho groaned before poring you another shot, rubbing your back gently. “But-”
“Hey what are you two talking about so secretly?” Woojin grinned bringing more shots.
“Nothing important” you gave him a half smile as he clanked his glass against yours. “Cheers” he threw back his shot. “You never drink, we gotta make up for lost times”
Minho watched him warily, but chose not to intervene, deciding that maybe a drunken night could at least distract you.
After a few more hours, most of your co-workers had already tapped out, and you’d been trying to sober up for the past 40 minutes knowing you were going to be leaving soon. “You ready to go, Champ?” Minho reached his hand out to help you up, an had to steady you immediately seeing you stumble. “I told you to take it easy”
“Imightbedrunk~” you slurred, nursing a cup of water to your lips “Mmm...Room keeps spinning” you leaned against the wall.
“Drink all of this” Minho tilted the cup back forcing you to finish the drink. “You’re a mess”
“I can take her home” Woojin walked over to the two of you. “She lives closer to the Itaewon exit right? I pass her to get to my place”
Seungmin sighed holding a passed out Hyunjin on his shoulder. “I gotta get him home, Minho you live near Jihyo right? Can you make sure she and Naeyeon get home safe?”
“I- But...Sure” Minho’s eyes narrowed before poking Woojin’s chest. “You get her home safe and don’t you touch a hair on her head. She’s drunk”
“Minho, I’m a doctor, what do you take me for?”
“I see how you look at her, and I know that you think of her more than a co-worker. And if you so much as touch her, I won’t hesitate to risk my license and personally kick your ass.”
Woojin sighed, shaking his head. “I’ll text you the second she’s inside safe”
“I’ll be checking your location, and making sure you drop her off and take your ass back home”
“I got it Minho.”
“I’m serious Woojin, she’s already going through a lot...and there’s someone she has feelings for so don’t try and confuse her.”
Woojin walked away and helped you up, walking you to his car. “You know I used to think you were a heavy drinker, but now I’m starting to think you’re actually a light weight, and it just hits you too late.”
You groaned leaning your head against the window of car. “Mmm...you might be right” laughing you looked over at him. “Sorry... I’m not usually like this...” You did drink pretty regularly, but it never extended past a glass of wine or a bottle of beer a night. You usually shied away from hard liquor. You suppose you thought a miracle would happen, and suddenly Chan wouldn’t have a date to go on...but here you were just as heartbroken but now with a headache.
He continued driving down the road, occasionally looking over to you. “What’s got you drinking this much? And don’t say it’s because you were excited to spend time with your co-workers” he smirked.
“Heh you’re right, no offense to them” You played with the seatbelt over your chest, trying to fight off how heavy your lids felt. “Hmmm...I got rejected, and it hurts.”
“A beautiful woman like you? It’s their loss.”
“You’re sweet but-”
“No but. You’re seriously amazing. He’ll be kicking himself for rejecting you”
“You barely know me” you sighed, leaning your head against the window, the crash from your drunken buzz upon you.
“I’m pretty observant. You’re so dedicated, you work hard and follow through with your promises.” Your patients adore you... I can’t imagine anyone rejecting you...honestly I’d-” he risked glancing over at you again and chuckled seeing that you’d fallen asleep.
After a few more blocks, he pulled onto your street. Admittedly he did take the scenic route just to extend his time with you. “Wake up Sleeping beauty…” he gently shook your shoulder “You’re home…” He called your name a few more times, but none of them loud enough to actually wake you. He walked over to the passenger side, unbuckling your seatbelt and lifting you in his arms. Luckily Minho did him give your apartment number so he didn’t need your directions.
Woojin walked up the steps of the apartment, only to be met with Chan looking at the stars outside his door. “Is she ok?” his eyes widened in worry. Woojin eyed him warily. “I live right here, I can take her inside, She’s my friend”
“She’s fine, just a little drunk” his eyes narrowed. “And no offense, but I don’t know you and I’m not handing my coworker to some stranger”
“I don’t know you either and you’re holding my very intoxicated friend and I'm pretty sure you don’t have a key.” he crossed his arms over his chest. “And I don’t know how she’d feel about letting a stranger into her house”
Woojin scoffed “A stranger? I’m a colleague, Dr. Kim, maybe she’s mentioned me”
“Never heard of you, and trust me I spend every day with her”
You groaned in Woojin’s arms, shifting in your sleep just slightly. It was so subtle but it was enough to silence their little bickering. “Hmmm?”
“Shh, it’s ok you’re almost home” Woojin cooed softly, rocking you. His grip tightened around your frame, holding you securely to keep you from falling.
“Chris...I’m home...” you mumbled, smiling happily in your sleep. Your hand falling over Woojin’s chest, gripping his shirt as you snuggled into him. “Nnn...Chris…warm...”
Chan gazed at you, his heart fluttering hearing the softness of your voice, the warmth of his name on your lips.
“Whose Chris…?” Woojin looked over at Chan.
“I am…”
Woojin shook his head before walking toward him and gently handing you over to him. “I was warned I was fighting a losing battle” he chuckled. “Just take care of her…”
“What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean” Before Woojin could even make it back to the car he was met with a fussy phone call by Minho yelling at him about taking too long to contact him.
Chan cradled you against his chest before unlocking your door and walking you inside to your bedroom. He slipped off your shoes by the door before setting you on your plush duvet. He’d never seen you so done up before, bolder make up, tighter and sexier clothes. It was very new, but he couldn’t deny just how attractive it was.
Over the past two years he’d seen many sides of you. The work you in light makeup and scrubs. Looking so beautiful as you saved lives. He’d seen the casual you on the weekends dressed lightly in jeans and sneakers when you’d spend time with him and his daughter in the park, running after her and making her laugh. His favorite form of you was domestic you, when you were cozy in pajamas, hair thrown up and out of your face. This was the you he’d come home to after a long day. The you that read stories to Minseo on bed, the you that’d remind him to turn on the stove. He loved that side of you the most.
But he was pretty sure this side of you was a close second.
“Since when do you drink this much?” He gently pushed your hair out of your face, smiling softly before running the make up remover pad over your eyes and cheeks, making sure to clean your face. “I wish I knew why you were crying earlier…” he whispered more so to himself than anything. “Could I be selfish and imagine that you just didn’t want me to go on this date…” you wrapped your hands around his in your sleep, turning on your side and cuddling into his arm. He returned your squeeze. “Tell me not to go...and I’d stay in a heartbeat…” he pressed his lips against your knuckles.
You stirred in your sleep, whispering his name again. Your lips parting as you licked them softly. “Chris…” your eyes fluttered open, looking at him expectantly.
“Yes?” he smiled down at you, fondly. “Did you have fun tonight?” he chuckled seeing how drunk you’d gotten.
“...Nnnn…’hadfun...” you tugged him down, pulling his face closer to yours. “Dream?”
He tried not to laugh, but you just looked so cute and pouty. “No, Sweetheart not a dream” he grinned.
You pouted and nodded trying to understand the situation. Yawning you poked his cheek “‘leepy…”
“You can sleep, I’ll see you in the morning” he smoothed down your hair, easing you back down.
“Kiss…” you huffed holding his face, you leaned in closer to him, your eyes glazed over but pleading.
He wanted nothing more than to kiss you senseless right now. To hold your face between his hands, and to kiss you until he couldn’t breathe. But he couldn’t… Not yet, not when you were this drunk. “You’re drunk…”
“Please” your lower lip stuck out more as you leaned into him, but he steadied you. Pressing his forehead against yours he smiled. “Tell you what..”
“Mm?”
“If you remember this...and you still want to kiss me just tell me”
“Promise?”
“Promise” he chuckled when you stuck your pinky out to him. It was a habit he knew you’d picked up from Minseo and he couldn’t stop the smile forming on his lips.
He wrapped his pinky around yours and pressed his thumb against yours to complete the promise. “Please remember…” he kissed your forehead laying you back into bed, tucking you under the blanket. “Goodnight Sweet girl…” He ran his thumb against the softness of your cheeks one more time before heading out for the night, not wanting to leave Minseo alone for too long.
As morning came and you were greeted with a throbbing headache, and you were very thankful that you didn’t have a morning shift. Technically it was supposed to be a day off but you’d pop in for a few hours just to check on your patience and make sure they’re recovering nicely.
You rolled onto your side and caught a glance of you in the mirror, your top, and tight jeans evident of why you were so uncomfortable last night. You were surprised to see your face bare and your pillows and sheets not messed up from the eyeliner and mascara you put on last night.
“Minho? Woojin?” you furrowed your brows trying to remember how you got home. Part of you tried to convince yourself that Chan was the last voice you heard. His soothing voice whispering to you. But that had to be your stupid crush acting up again. Trying to force memories you wished existed. “Ugh… dammit Chris…” you flopped back on to the bed, touching your lips softly. “Why can’t I let you go…”
You had a nice and easy morning, recovering from your hangover. Lazing around the house for a few hours before getting ready for work. And doing everything to try and forget that Chan had a date tonight.
Meanwhile next door Chan was agonizing, rubbing his temples. “Felix you didn’t see her… she looked so..” he groaned. “And she kept saying my name… and she tried to kiss me and-”
“And yet you’re sitting here with me complaining to me instead of making a move on her”
“I couldn’t make a move last night, she was drunk”
“She’s probably pretty sober right now, and you know what they say drunk words are sober thoughts and all that.”
“Well I need her to tell me, out right and sober.”
“Why can’t you tell her again?”
“Because I don’t want to sound full of myself and think that she’s actually attracted to me” he sighed. “Do you know how embarrassing that’d be? I can’t accept a confession she didn’t give me… And what if I tell her that I’m into her and she says she’s only interested in helping Minseo...Like she was with a guy last night…”
“You’re literally so irritating. You both are so irritating” Felix groaned, slumping in his chair. “So let’s run through this one more time, you told her you had a date tonight and she suddenly left your apartment visibly upset, she gets drunk and some guy brings her home, but she kept saying your name?”
“Correct” Chan crossed his arms over his chest.
“And you still don’t know if she likes you!?” he groaned, scratching his head in frustration. “You’ve actually lost it haven’t you? I don’t get how you can be so blind”
“Felix I don’t want to assume anything”
“You still seriously going on this date tonight? I can cancel it for you, I’ll just tell Yeji your spending time with your wife” he smirked
“She’s not my wife” he sighed, visibly defeated. “You went through the trouble of setting it up, the least I can do is go”
You opened the door, making your way to the fridge, pouring yourself a glass of orange juice. “Hey Chris, Hey Felix.”
“No one knocks, I swear” Chan smiled it off.
There was something about how he was looking at you. Almost expectantly, pleading even. Something that went beyond his morning banter. He was trying to read you to see if you remembered.
You furrowed your brows before drinking a cup of juice “Then learn to lock your door, it’s not like we don’t have keys” you smiled “Anyway I’m heading into work, I just wanted to confirm that I’m not picking up Minseo today right?”
“Right, Felix is getting her after school”
Your eyed him suspiciously “Don’t forget this time Kid”
“Oh come on guys give me a break, so I left her at school once! I never did it again”
“You did it twice” you and Chan chimed in unison.
“Relax Mom and Dad, I got this, I set an alarm and everything”
“You better” you eyed him. “Alright I’m off-”
“You look good today Doc, no scrubs?” Felix grinned checking you out, his eyes lingering on your bare legs a second too long.
“Nah, I don't’ have any surgeries scheduled, I’m just going to check on some patients and do some paperwork”
“Ya know...I’ve been feeling feverish lately, maybe I should make an appointment with the good doctor?” he leaned on the wall beside you, eyeing you. He gave you that cheesy smirk and a greasy wink.
You rolled your eyes before smirking at him, you mirrored his sultry look whispering lowly between you two. “Felix… I’m a heart surgeon, you’re gonna need an appointment with a pediatrician” you giggle pushing him away shaking your head “See you guys later”
Chan scoffed, staring at Felix in mild offense “You tell me to make a move, but you flirt with her in front of me?”
“You ever think, that maybe I’m trying to encourage you?” he chuckled as Chan playfully smacked his arm. “You afraid of a little competition Bro” he teased before Chan wrapped his strong forearm around his neck putting him in a headlock. “Ow! Ow! C’mon I was just kidding” Felix tapped his arm, as Chan ruffled his hair laugh. “I was kidding!”
To be continued…

➣Masterlist
Hey Friends! ヾ(^∇^)
I hope you enjoyed that update! This is what I like to call a guilty pleasure mini series, it appeals to everything that I love writing, admittedly I love having the little cameos in the background <3
ps. it’s hard writing drunk dialogue because it just looked like I was misspelling things lmao

Dramas I Watched in 2020
I watched a lot of dramas this year, y’all.  Here’s what I watched and what I thought of them!
Tumblr media
Boys Over Flowers (10/10)
3rd watch – I cannot explain the love that I have for this show.  It is absolutely wacky and farfetched, but so, so fun.  This was my introduction into K-Dramas (well, re-introduction…more on that later) and it will always have a special place in my heart. This watch was with my sister as she was recovering from surgery. Even though I’d already seen it twice, it was addictive as always.
Tumblr media
Dream High (9.5/10)
1st watch - This was one of the cutest and most feel-good shows I watched this year. Part of me wishes I hadn’t discovered it until quarantine because nearly every episode left me grinning and with a song in my heart.  It was also my introduction to K-Pop (2PM, which eventually led me to BTS aka the best thing that happened to me this year).  I loved the characters and their pursuit of their dreams.  The drama turns 10 in a few days, so I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that I loved when the kids finally came together as a team near the end of the show.  My one regret is that I fell for the wrong lead guy, so I would have liked to have avoided that second lead syndrome.  It’s one of the most compelling love triangles I’ve watched, though!
Tumblr media
Cinderella and the Four Knights (7.5/10)
1st watch - Regrettably, I don’t remember much about this drama.  I know that I enjoyed the relationships between Ha-Won and the “Four Knights.”  I enjoyed Ahn Jae-Hyun’s character at the beginning, but didn’t like him as much as his tear-filled relationship with the seamstress progressed.  The singer was my favorite of the cousins and am I the only one who wanted more screen time for the bodyguard?  Anyway, it was cute and my mom really enjoyed it.  Plus, seeing Park So-Dam is what eventually got me to watch Parasite!
Tumblr media
The King: Eternal Monarch (9.5/10)
1st watch – I know it’s controversial for me to give this one such a high score, but it was really special to me.  My whole family (minus my dad) and our neighbor watched this show together and debriefed after each episode (from a safe social distance) during early quarantine.  It was the first drama I watched as it was airing, so I experienced the stress of waiting for the next week’s episodes.  I love Lee Min-Ho, so I was really looking forward to his comeback drama.  Woo Do Hwan was an unexpected favorite from this show and I just enjoyed the characters, story, and mystery so much.  I know this drama wasn’t everyone’s favorite, but it holds a lot of special memories for me.
Tumblr media
Bring It On, Ghost (7/10)
1st watch - This was a pretty cute drama, but it was spooky too.  I watched it for Taecyeon, but stayed for the ghost fighting squad.  Kang Ki-Young and Lee David were a treat to watch.  Although I liked Dream High more as a show, I absolutely loved Taecyeon’s Bong Pal.  I didn’t like the ghost at first, but she grew on me as the show went on and ended up enjoying Kim So-Hyun as an actress.  The mystery in this one was compelling too and kept me watching!
Tumblr media
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? (9/10)
1st watch - I’m SO glad I watched this drama!  It had the fun energy of Boys Over Flowers, but was more realistic and grown-up.  If you haven’t gathered yet, I’m a sucker for fun ensembles and the office staff totally fit the bill!  I also live for vacation episodes and this show did not disappoint.  This was my first time to see Park Seo-Joon and Park Min-Young and I will definitely continue to follow their careers.  The mysterious past of the characters slowed the plot and felt a little out of place in my opinion, but I loved the show as a whole and will likely watch it again someday.
Tumblr media
Save Me (6/10)
1st watch - This drama was unlike anything I’ve ever seen and left me feeling a little uneasy after every episode.  That’s not to say that it wasn’t good…on the contrary! This was so well acted and had a unique plot.  I started it because of Taecyeon, Woo Do-Hwan, and Lee David, but was absolutely blown away by Seo Ye-Ji’s acting.  My brother developed a huge crush on her, which is what led us to our next drama, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
Tumblr media
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (10/10)
1st watch - Hands down the best drama I watched this year!  I don’t often cry when I watch things, but this had me in tears several times. It was such a loving portrayal of people with mental illness and difficult family relations.  It also had quite a bit of mystery, which is always fun. The characters were well written and beautifully portrayed.
Tumblr media
She Was Pretty (6/10)
1st watch – Okay, so I tricked my mom into watching this with me because I’ve had a crush on Siwon since my English professor in college showed the class the music video for “Hoot” by Girls’ Generation (so random…ask me about it sometime).  He was THE highlight of this drama for me.  I might be biased, of course, but I loved his character way more than the lead (and don’t get me wrong, I love Park Seo-Joon).  Second lead syndrome aside, I enjoyed the drama and it made me want to work for a fashion magazine!
Tumblr media
Just Between Lovers (9/10)
1st watch – Another highlight from this year.  Another thing I enjoy besides fun ensembles is melancholy.  This show is a lot heavier than most drama’s I’ve watched, but it was so good.  It explores survivor’s guilt and how grief doesn’t follow a clean timeline.  Won Jin-Ah and Junho were absolutely lovely as the leads.
Tumblr media
The Sound of Your Heart (8/10)
2nd watch – I watched this for the first time back in 2016 before I knew anything about Korean media.  My siblings just found it on Netflix and we decided to watch it together.  This time, we watched it with our mom.  If you haven’t seen it, it’s more skit than continuous storyline, but each episode had me laughing!  I’m glad that I watched it again now that I have so many dramas under my belt.
Tumblr media
Hello My Twenties (6.5/10)
1st /2nd watch –  I started this in 2016 but didn’t finish until this year. I am still in love with the first episode, but didn’t like the direction the show ended up going. I think it’s still worth a watch and I’m glad that I eventually finished it.  The girls were written and portrayed well.
Tumblr media
Cheese in the Trap (6.5/10)
1st watch - I still haven’t really decided how I feel about this drama.  I liked it, but something felt off about it.  I couldn’t keep track of how characters felt about each other and the end was disappointing.  It was overall fun, though and was my cute introduction to Nam Joo Hyuk!  It also gave me a new song to listen to when I want to feel sad (Je te veux by Erik Satie).
Tumblr media
When the Camellia Blooms (7/10)
1st watch – Oh, When the Camellia Blooms, I had such high hopes for you.  I loved the first several episodes and I came around again by the end, but I was not loving the screen time devoted to the Joker plot.  I guess it’s my fault for not thoroughly looking into the story beforehand.  I will say that I am so smitten with Yong-Sik and soft for his relationship with Dongbaek.
Tumblr media
Heirs (6/10)
2nd watch – I watched this alone a few years ago and referenced it so often that I made my mom watch it.  I actually didn’t like it the first time I watched it, but ended up enjoying it this time around.  I was able to keep track of the characters this time, which was a plus! Kim Tan is still kind of a loser and I still have a soft spot in my heart for Young Do, but he’s also a loser.  Surely there are better men out there, Eun-Sang!
Tumblr media
Start Up (8.5/10)
1st watch – I really enjoyed this drama, but I think it helps that I fell for the “right” guy (controversial, I know.  What I mean is that I fell for the one that does end up getting the girl, so I didn’t suffer like I did in “She Was Pretty”).  The Samsan Tech squad was so cute.  My favorite episodes were early on when the plot felt similar to Cyrano de Bergerac and the lead guys weren’t hateful toward one another.  Overall a fun watch!
Tumblr media
Goblin (7.5/10)
1st watch – What a show to end 2020 with!  The bromance between the Goblin and Grim Reaper was the highlight for me, but I also really enjoyed Sunny and her relationship with the characters.  I think it’s because I watched TKEM and Cheese first, but I didn’t like Kim Go Eun’s character as much as I should have.  I’m finding that I do enjoy fantasy dramas, so I’ll be watching more of those in the new year.
Whew!  If you stuck with me to the end, thanks!  I’m always open to drama recommendations.  Happy New Year!

Marinette: A merry Little Nightmare
Okay so I was thinking about the Crossover fic I did yesterday with the Disney orginal Movie Halloween Town and started to thinking about other favorite halloween town… The Nightmare Before Christmas. This of course reminded me of one of favorite Sterek fic (Teen wolf: Stiles/Derek) that I go back and read once a year. And I kind of wanted to create a  new ML AU for  something similar. I didn’t get very far with this so feel free to continue if you’d like!!! This got completely away from and went in a direction, I didn’t see coming… So yeah.
Marinette had always been a little… different; since the second, she was born in fact. But, hey, that’s what happens when the jolliest Elf in Christmas land marries the scariest vampire in all of Halloween Town. It’s no wonder Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king, was so adamant about officiating their wedding!
Her parents had met not long after the Pumpkin King tried his hand at Christmas. It went wrong. So very, very wrong. However, there was one bright side. The people from the various different holidays now knew the others existed.
And was when things started to change.
           Because people wanted change.
It wasn’t fun only celebrating their one holiday every year; even if they were really good at it. And it wasn’t before long that you saw Cupids hanging with the monsters under the bed. Elves and leprechauns going out for drinks. A few reindeer running after the Easter bunny. Snow Angels laughing with Evil Witches.
Then Jack got a wonderful idea, and even managed to clear it by a very suspicious Santa, who was still just a bit traumatized from the last time Jack got an idea.
Why not let the children get the chance they never got? They can grow and learn about each other’s cultures together.
Thus, Ville des festivals was born. The city of festivals where citizens from holidays, both big and small, could come to live to together. And with the city came schools; Holiday High was the renowned of them. She had long gotten used to people asking “What are you?”
To them, she was a living, breathing question mark, they long to solve.
Marinette was born and raised in Ville des festivals. Her parents owned a bakery that produced everything from sugar cookies to Frog’s Breath pie.
The bluenette wouldn’t change who she was for anything but it hadn’t been easy growing up. Her heritage came from two of the biggest holidays of all the Holidays. She was both, and at the same time neither.
Marinette never felt like she was scary enough for Halloween town. Or cheerful enough for Christmas Land. It always felt like a tug of war; sometimes. Like she was split in two. Like if she cut herself, her blood would come out as a sparkly white and dreadful black.
Sparkly white for her Dad, Tom, who reflected sheer Christmas magic; the kind kids get on Christmas morning, when snowed the night before, and they opened all their presents and think it’s over, only for their parents to bring out a puppy with a boy around his head.
Dreadful black for her mom, Sabine, who’s presence echoed the terror you feel when you walk alone at night on a full moon, through a graveyard, on Friday the 13th, during October, and you get an alert on your phone about a serial killer loose, and then it turns out the cemetery is also haunted.
It’s a wonder no one knew what to make of Marinette. She had a smile that brighten up a room better than any of Santa’s elves. She had a glare that could melt the flesh off the Boogieman.
Every teacher she ever had always stumbled over her name; their faces wondering if it was an error.
Cheng; a fearsome line of Vampires from Halloween Town, everyone knew that.
Dupain; a merry elf family from Christmas land who baked the best ginger bread cookies imaginable.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng… What? It had to be an error,
Oh their faces when they realized it wasn’t!
Sometimes, besides her parents, it was like only Marinette realized that someone could be both; that she was both.
When she went to visit her mother’s family in Halloween town; everyone knew her as Marinette, half-vampire daughter of Sabine, from the Angelus bloodline; a fearsome and terrible family. And it was wonderful! Marinette wore Victorian dresses and went to balls. She was the best vampire anyone could ever be. And they treated her like a vampire. No one seemed to realize that while she needed blood to drink, she also need regular food to eat too. That while Marinette did enjoy scaring people, sometimes it felt wrong.
And when she went to visit the North Pole with her dad; she was a merry elf who sang the best Christmas songs and that all the reindeer loved. She worked with Mrs. Klaus, organizing and planning for events around town. She wore bright dress of gold and reds; silvers and purples. They treated her like she was an elf. No one seemed to realize that while most kids would love to live off candy and sweet drinks, Marinette still needed blood to sustain her. And yeah, sometimes, she burned a little in the sun, okay, Rudolph?
And Marinette didn’t speak the demonic language most vampires did; that her mother’s family all did; this never failed to disappoint her grandmother, who would then send her mother accusing looks. She also didn’t know any elfish which meant she couldn’t communicate with her dad’s dad. She could understand it but that was it.
She was only fluent in apologizing for not being enough, for never having found time to learn. The only phrase she knew in both languages.
“Sorry, I don’t speak Enochian,” Marinette would apologize and watch the confusion on her on her cousins’ faces, the disappointment in her family’s eyes.
“Sorry, I don’t speak Elfish,” Marinette would apologize, and her grandfather would frown, and make some bad parenting comment along the lines of ‘This is what happens when you raise your child away from where they belong. Move her to the North Pole before it’s too late. We’ll fix her.’ Fix her as if she was broken; as if she wasn’t quite whole.
Marinette opened her mouth and half her family wilts.
Marinette got the best of both worlds; it was true. She’d swear it… Most days. But after the Nightmare before Christmas incident, no one really dared to try to truly mix the holidays again. Sure, the people from both towns were social with each other and got along great, some even married, but that was where the line was drawn. The holidays didn’t interfere with each other.
So while Marinette got the best of both worlds; they remained separate outside of her home and the bakery.
It sucked. And no one but the other kids in similar predicaments as her understood.
Juleka, whose mother came from the land of Mardi Gras and whose father was a warlock from Halloween town, understood. Rose understood too; her father was a cupid and her mother came from the New Year’s City. The blond didn’t even know how to begin to explain that despite being so close to one another; the two holidays never mingled. In fact, they were so possessive of their own celebrations it was insane. (The last week of December to the day after Valentine’s Day was the most stressful time for Rose.)
Even Chloe sort of understood, though both her parents came from the Christmas. Her mother was a Grinch who hated pretty much everything and her father had come from a long line of very important elves (or so Chloe put it.) Her mother was a worlds’ renowned fashion critic and her father was the mayor of Ville Des festivals. Her father loved Christmas. Her mother refused to celebrate it. It only worked out because Chloe’s mom was never around much.
Even in Ville Des festivals, it was complicated. Most try to put her into a category to make it easier on themselves. Sure everyone was allowed to love each other’s holidays and to celebrate but to a point. No one expected an Easter bunny to go flying Santa’s sleigh, right?
No one expected an elf to want to scare people. Or a vampire to be able to make snowflakes.
“Which side are you closer with?” They’d asked. “You know, who do you identify with?”
Marinette refused to answer. She wouldn’t allow them to erase half of herself. She didn’t want to choose sides of herself. Why did she have to choose a race?
It wasn’t like there was a dividing line, from her head to her toes, that said one side Christmas Magic and the other Halloween Terror.
That wasn’t the way it worked. She refused to let them wash away half her identity just because it’s the one they prefer.
And oh how the people in charge preferred to used her sweet nature, the rose color to her cheeks, and big blue eyes to try and write her off as an elf!
Elf-passing, is what some would say.
How could they ignore her fangs? The dark midnight blue of her hair? The slant of her eyes, that flashed red whenever she was angry?
Why was it so hard to understand that she was both?
Marinette Dupain-Cheng was elf and a vampire. It wasn’t like she was an Alien from outer space. Or a human.
She got to celebrate Halloween with her mom, her dad, and her mom’s family but never once has she celebrated Christmas with her mom’s family. Not in Halloween town; it just wasn’t done.
She got to celebrate Christmas with her dad, her mom, and her dads’ family but gods’ forbid someone bring up throwing a Halloween party. No one threw Halloween Parties in the North day. It was the North Pole, for Saint Nick’s sake.
To Marinette, there were no better holidays than Halloween and Christmas. She just wished she could celebrate with her entire family.
She wished people didn’t make stereotypical assumptions on vampires just because they watched a few movies, or read some books.  Marinette’s mom loved garlic. Holy water didn’t burn, thank you Chloe! Not every vampire knew Dracula or was descended from him. Though her grandma Gina, the elf, dated him back in the day so yeah, Marinette did know him but that wasn’t the point. And no, vampires didn’t used to only drink from the blood of virgin, what the hell Kim? (And Marinette wished for nothing more than to curse Stephanie Meyer out for the epidemic she unleashed. Vampires were always overly sexualized before… But DAMN! Juleka swore it was the equivalent of what happened to witches and warlocks during the Harry Potter Craze.)
She wished people didn’t assume all elves were sweet and nice and were toy makers. Her uncle was a dentist, thank you very much! And her grandpa could give any Grinch a run for their money.
Honestly, Marinette loved her life, her family, being mixed; coming from two very different worlds. It was just that sometimes it was hard. Sometimes she didn’t feel like a very good elf. Sometimes she was a terrible vampire. Sometimes she just didn’t feel like enough for either. Sometimes she felt like she never got enough of either.
Or as a human named Julian Randall put in his poem called ‘6 Biracial Metaphors.’ In it, he said, “Knowing that Sometimes being biracial is to have two half-filled glasses and die of thirst anyway.”
Sometimes, Marinette hummed Christmas songs under breath during October. Sometimes, she really wanted to watch Horror Flicks during December.
She just wished people made her feel like it was okay when she did. Or that it didn’t feel weird when she did.
Because it wasn’t weird. It was who she was.
All of who she was.
Marinette was poison wrapped in a pretty bow.
Marinette was a sweet kiss under the mistletoe that sent you straight to hell.
Marinette was a daydream and the worst fears come to reality.
Marinette was the Nightmare before Christmas.

PART ONE || PART TWO || PART TWO.5 || PART THREE || PART FOUR || PART FIVE || PART SIX || FINALE
Tumblr media
It wasn’t a secret that I was engaged to be married, but I also wasn’t telling it left and right every chance I get. So when the news got out, courtesy of our parents,  I was bombarded with a mixture of congratulatory messages and a whole lot of who is the guy I’m getting married to.
One morning, the news was apparently announced to the world with no warning given to me or my fiancé. To say I was taken aback would be an understatement.
The first one to corner me was my long time friend, Soo Young or who also goes by the name of Joy.
“WHY IS IT SUDDENLY BROADCASTED TO THE WORLD?” were her first words to me when she saw me walking across the field
“What’s being broadcasted?” I asked back
“That you’re engaged! I know it’s not a secret but it’s literally on the news”
I admit it was too early for me to process her words, and I wasn’t aware they were going to make such a big announcement about it.
“My engagement?” I asked again repeating what she just told me, clearly still very confused “So you didn’t know they were going to announce it today? Oh wow, I feel bad” Joy said, she took her phone and scrolled through it before passing it to me,
Just like she said it was already announced online,
“Son and Daughter of Business Magnates engaged to be married: Son of chairman of Kim Industries and current COO: Kim Doyoung and the daughter of the current chairman of Lee Tradings Corp was announced to be engaged and soon to be married. Sources say that the two have been close friends since childhood and it was no surprise that the two would end up together...”
“Did they really have to include a whole story-telling portion to it?” I asked then passed her phone back to her
“Does this mean the wedding is close? I mean I know it’s some time after graduation” she said as we walk towards campus
“Yea, our mom’s are probably already planning it behind our backs as we speak. We said we wanted to talk about it first, Doyoung and I, before we settle on anything but I guess they decided to announce it”
“Is it bad that I feel bad for you?” this question made me turn to my friend,
“Why?”
“Because why would you want to put yourself through something like that? I know you and Doyoung are friends and all but don’t we all deserve to atleast choose who we end up it” Joy had a point and I know she only means well.
There was no malice behind her statement, only concern for me. I appreciate that.
I’m glad you’re the one I’m marrying
The words Doyoung told me a few nights ago ringing in my head, a ghost of a smile forming on my lips
“It could be worse, don’t you think?” I told her “I like Doyoung, we’re friends. It’s complicated in a very non-complicated way”
“Remember when you confessed-" “I really don’t want to refresh that memory”
She put her hands up, an action that says she wasn’t about to continue her story, a story that involved on too many counts of soju and maybe a bit of tequila. Not that I remember, all I can recall from that night were the stories Joy have told me.
“You got turned down hard” She mumbled under her breath
My face heats up at the memory, still hazy because I had one too many drinks during that time but Joy would not let me live it down.
“Stop it, I don’t even remember it. All I know from that night is from all the stories you’ve told me”
She had a knowing smile on, something I’ve noticed she has whenever she’s not saying the full story
“There’s something you’re not telling me” I told her, she quickly put on a blank face then walked ahead of me
“Ya Park Soo Young!”
Tumblr media
After a very long day of repeated congratulations and thank you’s thrown my way, I was finally on my way home. Just as I was about to exit the building, I see someone from afar. His back to me but I would recognize that profile anywhere.
I walked quickly to where the guy was, calling him out when I was close enough
“Doyoung? What are you doing here?” At the sound of my voice, Doyoung turned around to face me
“Came here to get you, Your class wasn’t finished yet so I decided to have a look around. Nothing much has changed here” He said while looking around the hallway.
When you’re in college, people usually don’t care what happens around them if it doesn’t concern them directly. One of the things I love the most about being a college student, most people know how to mind their own business.
But I think the sight of Doyoung still in his full suit and tie outfit, standing in the middle of the hallway while the rest of us were dressed as casual as we could be on a school day was enough to catch the attention of students passing by. Some even recognized him.
“You just graduated last year”
He went to the same university as me but he was a year ahead. We hung out when we could but since we had different schedules before we weren’t seen together in campus that much
“My guess is you already heard the news” I told him as we make our way out of the campus
“First thing that welcomed me when I got to the office, where were you?”
“Joy literally ran to me screaming about it” I chuckled “Did they tell you they were going to make an announcement?” I asked but he just shook his head.
When we got to his car, he opened the door for me before walking to the driver’s side
“Where are we going anyways?”
It wasn’t usual that we see each other on weekdays, with him busy at work while I had classes to attend.
“Just somewhere, are you hungry?” he asked, his eyes focused on the road. I studied his profile for awhile, trying to read his mood at the moment. But it’s Doyoung. Even if I’ve known him for pretty much my whole life there are times he put his walls so high up I’m left with no choice but to wait for him to tell me himself.
“We can grab dinner, if you want” I suggested, opting on not asking him any other questions.
For the rest of the ride we didn’t really talk that much. The man beside me looked like he was deep in thought, I didn’t dare to disrupt him. I just looked out the window and enjoyed the scenery passing by.
We decided to eat a ramen place, it was like one of those spontaneous trips you go on and try out places you’ve never been too. When we saw the little restaurant, we decided to stop by and check it out.
“So what’s this little surprise trip for?” I asked Doyoung after we ordered, it took him a while before he looked up from the menu he was staring at
“Just wanted to get out of the city for awhile”
“You okay? Something bothering you?”
“More like what isn’t bothering me nowadays” he mumbled, he looked like he did need this time away. I didn’t want to ask more questions because he looked like he didn’t want to talk about it but I also wanted him to know I was here to listen.
“If it’s work related, try and not to think about it after you’ve left the office” I said, he looked up at me with one brow raised
“There should be a good work and life balance, just like how you try not to bring your issues at home to the office then shouldn’t be the same way around?”
“I can’t just stop worrying about it”
“Well try atleast when you’re back at your place, if you don’t then you’re just stressing yourself more. Wouldn’t be better for you and more effective if you can get some rest at home” I said, trying to reason out with him
“I’m relaxing right now”
“You don’t look one bit relaxed, Doie. Don’t try and pretend when you’re with me, it’s not going to work” I told him. with this I leaned forward the table to reach across the table. My thumb on the middle of his forehead, trying to tell him not to frown too much
“You’re going to get wrinkles if you keep frowning like that” I mumbled, he was just looking straight at me before taking my hand in his
“You haven’t called me that in a while” He said with a small smile on, his eyes on our hands
“Huh?”
“Doie” this time he looked up at me, I don’t know why I suddenly felt all flustered under his gaze but I couldn’t keep the eye contact and opted to look around the place
“You used to call me that a lot when we were kids” he still has my hand in his, now his thumb was lazily drawing circles on the back of my hand. All I’m hoping for is that right now my hand won’t get all clammy.
“I still call you that, it’s still your name on my phone” I answered, this time I looked back at him. “Why are you looking at me like that?” I mumbled, he shot me quick smile and gave my hand a squeeze before letting it go.
I pulled my hand back, waiting for his answer
“I’m trying to decide whether we should really just runaway”
That was not the answer I was expecting but I also am not sure if he’s being serious or not.
“Don’t be ridiculous. Where would we go anyways? My backyard? I don’t have a backyard anymore” I told him, this time he let out a laugh. We both know what I’m referring to.
It wouldn’t be the first time, one time when we were kids we decided to ‘runaway’. And by that we mean, hide somewhere in our backyard the whole day. We even packed some snacks, blankets and some toys. I don’t know who convinced who to runaway but we always stuck together. We only separated after we were called inside the house and Doyoung had to go home.
Those were the days when it felt like 24 hours weren’t long enough to be together, when we were just two kids living in our own world.
He looked like he was genuinely thinking about where we would go, I almost wanted to tell him to pack his bags and just go.
“This time we won’t have to go home, we can stay out as long as we want, go wherever we want” he said, I just smiled back at him. We didn’t say anything for awhile, just enjoying the silence and each other’s presence.
“We should decided on a date, for the wedding I mean. If we don’t, our parents might decide for us like they did today” he said, long gone was the smile he wore only a few seconds ago and was now replaced with a more serious look
“Can it be some time around fall?”
“If you want” he told me, “Sounds good and I know you hate hot weather”
“That wasn’t so hard, should we plan the whole thing?” I asked jokingly
“I’ll have to see my schedule, see if I could squeeze you in”
“Yah, this is your wedding too. Make time for your future wife”
“I’ll give you an hour to present, how about that?” he asked, this time looking less serious. Less like COO Kim Doyoung and more like just my Kim Doyoung
“That’s all the time you can give me? I might have to re-think this marriage Mr. Kim”
“An hour and another dinner date, how about that?”
Good thing I was looking down at the food on the table because when he said the word date my eyes went big as saucers.
I cleared my throat before giving him a reply, praying that he won’t see my burning cheeks
“Is this how it’s going be? you bargaining with me? You know you always do that”
“You always say yes to me, so it’s not really my fault” he replied, I could see the smile he was wearing and I wanted to say yes to him over and over again just to see it again.

Tumblr media
Your relationship started before the both of you even entered BigHit, so management couldn’t really ask you to break up-- or else they’d lose you two to other companies who could also see the potential. Albeit loose, their only rule was for you two to pretend that you weren’t dating until they see it fit for the two of you to reveal the long relationship you two had.
Apparently, you two did well. In fact, you did so well that the public perceived you two as rivals.
Enemies.
Oh how wrong they were.
kim seokjin
“This is so funny… They believe you hate your s/o, hyung! Look,” Namjoon snorted as he showed one of the posts he saw in his secret twitter fan account. (yes, i swear that guy has one)
“Why do you guys ship Jin and Y/N? It’s obvious they hate… each other,” Jin read aloud, falling to the floor as he laughed.
Jin supposed it was because of the limited aired interaction between you two. But he could never hate you, boy was too whipped to even be angry at you. He loved you so much.
You were just as whipped as he was and were facing quite a similar predicament in the dressing room next door with your manager.
“When we told you two that you couldn’t reveal your status, it was never part of it to let the public think you two hated each other,” Your manager jested, too amused to see that this is how the people saw you two.
You sighed as your manager continued to voice out their thoughts.
“Honestly! They should see how you two are in undocumented events… Like horny teenagers who couldn’t take their hands off of each other! It’s like you’re almost havi-” You shut your manager up before they could even say anything else and embarrass you further.
“But seriously, if anything goes out… I think management will allow it now.”
You mull over the words of your manager before you left, thinking about how convenient it would be to finally scream to the world that you love Kim Seokjin, and that he loves you back.
I mean, who wouldn’t?
Jin met up with you at the parking lot, hidden from any prying stalkers and media that wanted to get a scoop of whatever was inside the world’s best artist’s company. You returned the bear hug he gave, albeit distracted, and remained in his arms. To get you to notice him, Jin poked you on the cheek and giggled internally when he saw your confused look.
“What are you thinking about?”
You sighed and relayed what your manager had mentioned, “I don’t think they plan to say anything about us but if word goes out, they won’t deny it either.”
Jin hummed, “I suppose it’s because of the ongoing discussion on whether we’re enemies or not.”
“But they are right about that. I hate you, especially because you cheat on Mario kart,” You grin, sticking your tongue out.
Jin faked offense, playing along and saying that you should stop dreaming about beating him.
At that moment, Jin looked so irresistible that you couldn’t pass up on kissing him. As you reached up and connected your lips, you two heard something.
A click of a camera. In the most guarded parking lot. Where you two were kissing.
Ah shit.
Jin sighed, annoyed that someone was ruining your moment, and chose to break your intimate moment so he could cover you with his broad shoulders. He was always a gentleman and would always prioritize your well-being even if he’s also uncomfortable.
Dispatch finally got something from sneaking in and they were sure to post those photos as soon as possible because it would gain a lot of clicks. And a lot of clicks meant a lot of moola. For them, that is.
The next day, Dispatch released your photos with Jin, causing a plethora of reactions from the community. Your manager was prepared enough that BigHit could post its response two hours from the start of the fiasco.
While it wasn’t the most ideal way of going public, the thought that the world finally knew you’ve loved Seokjin for a long time brought you ease.
min yoongi
The world knew you as one of BTS’ producers and owner of some of the hidden vocals in a few songs. Unlike Adora and the rest, you were very open with your friendship with the boys and would be often seen in the background of some music videos for the fun of it.
Somehow, you were also included in some “ships” as fans liked to call it. While you never minded being paired off to the guys who you’d always see as friends, you were more than bothered that the world decided you and Min Yoongi hated each other. You? And your long-time boyfriend?
They should see how he is when he’s alone with you.
Just like right now. You were comfortably laying on the bean bag you brought to Yoongi’s studio so you could have some sort of time with him before he got too busy with their comeback. This is how you two would spend your time-- when one of you is working on new tracks, the other would be loitering about in the studio, ready for when the one working wants to cuddle to de-stress.
You were scrolling on your phone, using your fan account to keep yourself updated on whatever was going on in stan twitter, and came across a particular thread that pointed out why you shouldn’t be shipped with Min Yoongi. That very short thread garnered a lot of attention, and you could see that people were divided.
They shouldn’t. You were obviously with Yoongi and you couldn’t understand why they perceived your fleeting glances as “avoiding eye contact.”
Yoongi must have heard your snickers and sighs because he stopped fine tuning this english track to look at your sprawled form, “What’s with you?” You raised your head to meet his gaze. Is this avoiding contact, huh? You shook your head and told him that the world was an idiot.
Not that you could do anything about it though.
Yoongi stretched as he chuckled, asking if you wanted to go to the small unknown cafe down the road for a breather. You agreed and were excited that you get to go on a simple, spontaneous date with the love of your life. Yoongi held your left hand in his as you two walked to the cafe.
Well, that was a mistake.
You two underestimated Dispatch’s abilities to sneak and follow you two. You also paid no mind towards Manager Sejin’s offer to bring you to the cafe via car ride. The journalist must have had a field day because he was able to take photos of you two holding hands, you two kissing, and you two laughing at the barren cafe.
As you went back to the building, you two were met with a very stressed Namjoon and a defeated Manager Sejin. Dispatch was able to post everything before you could even return back to BigHit. Oops.
Curiously peeking at your phone as the four of you went to Bang PD’s office, you could see that a lot were shocked yet happy that the supposed enemies of BigHit were actually dating.
Jokes on you, world. I’m dating Min Yoongi.
“What are we gonna do about this?”
...Bang PD please don’t fire me.
jung hoseok
“Do you hate me?” Hoseok whispered, quite nervous to ask you such a question while the others were on taking a break outside of the practice room. You were BigHit’s choreographer and assistant to the legendary Son Seungdeuk, and were previously teaching them the dance you, Hoseok, and Seungdeuk have come up with for their newest track, Dynamite.
To say the least, you were taken aback that Hoseok had thoughts like these. If it weren’t for the keep quiet rule set by BigHit, you would have told every person you came across with that Jung Hoseok loved you back. You immediately assured him that you love him so much, even more than you loved your favorite snack.
“What made you think so?” You asked softly, sitting on the floor beside him.
Hoseok hummed, deciding it was best to show you rather than tell. He pulled his phone out and opened Weverse, their app, and scrolled to the latest posts that said you and your boyfriend seemed to hate each other. You never really thought much on how the world saw you two but this particular reaction from the fans shocked you.
“Hmm… I never got to the bottom of why they thought we hated each other but their only evidence is me glaring at you from the back of the camera,” Hoseok said, his mood being lifted by how baseless everyone was being.
“You were trying your best not to laugh during the dance practice shoot, thanks to my good looks,” You whipped your hair in confidence, laughing your ass out with him when you two remembered.
Before you could even kiss his cheek, the younger members barged in and faux vomited at the sight. Mr. Son was also pretending to gag, but he should see himself when he’s with his wife at their company gatherings.
After the practice, everyone was playing around and making selfies. Namjoon must have not noticed that he faintly had you and Hoseok laughing in the background because he posted the photo immediately.
Nothing could be done anymore, even if he deleted the picture. The “Are you two enemies or lovers?” debate grew much more because of the picture that even Dispatch decided to meddle to get to the bottom of it.
The next day, while they were preparing for the live stage as you monitored their movements, will forever change the course of the enemies versus lovers discourse. You and Hoseok were near the backstage, but still visible if someone looked hard enough. Look hard enough Dispatch did. You were laughing as Hoseok striked silly poses, earning a few pecks and hugs from you as support.
They were thriving as they dangled from a tree, using one of the lenses with extreme zoom, and successfully getting a few shots here and there of your interaction.
After that event, they immediately posted the collection of the photos that were taken without consent, consequently confirming the thoughts that formed from Namjoon’s latest post.
You two really didn’t mind their opinion when that article was published. You two were occupied by the impending scolding you’ll get from Mr. Son and Manager Sejin.
At least, the world began to see the sense from your past interactions, questioning themselves why they ever thought otherwise.
You were with Hoseok, and it was obvious from before. The world finally knew that.
kim namjoon
Fans speculated that Namjoon had someone in his heart. It wasn’t that obvious but they were able to connect certain videos and photos, coming to the conclusion that Namjoon was in a relationship.
But they were very sure it wasn’t you.
You were one of the very few actors of BigHit, currently working on a romantic comedy drama alongside BTS’ Jin, and the “someone” in question for Namjoon’s heart. Because you and Jin were co-actors, BTS would often visit your set when they could. They would also send food trucks for you two with your funny candid pictures and unreleased selfies.
Namjoon took this chance to visit you when he was available because your moments with him have become scarce when their comeback coincided with your drama. When not in shoot, selected staff could see you in your van cuddling with your very tall boyfriend. You’d easily fall asleep when he’s with you and your manager was more than happy to know you could rest properly if Namjoon’s around.
It was one of those days when you were out in a province to film for the next episode and Namjoon was free to tag along.
Dispatch being dispatch, knew ahead that your drama would take place in the quiet province, so they sent one of their journalists to get some tea on the Y/N x Jin ship that bloomed from the drama. Sadly, they also had someone inside the filming crew (it was one of those interns that was unaware of you and Joon) in case someone discovers the actual journalist stalking them.
Namjoon never got out of your van ever since your filming started. He didn’t want to get in the way of your work process, opting to stay inside to read an ebook that he started some day ago. Visiting twitter for awhile, he came across one of his mutual’s questionable thread of lies that stated you were enemies with your long-time boyfriend and current fiance.
He had a rare blank look on his face, speechless at how this mutual of his must have come up with this out-of-this-world conclusion. Namjoon decided it was best to end the mutual because he didn’t want any bullshit on his timeline. He was right to do so anyway because that ex-mutual of his got exposed for being a solo stan and an overall bad person.
Moments later, the door to the van opened and revealed a very stressed-looking you wanting nothing more than to sleep in his arms for the entirety of your 30-minute break. Namjoon grinned softly at your grabby hands, fixing the chairs so you could have enough space to sleep comfortably.
That short time was enough for the mole (the intern who actually worked for dispatch) to see that there was something going on with you and Kim Namjoon. He couldn’t sneak pictures, however, because your manager was quick to close the door and give him the stink eye. Mr. Mole relayed his newfound information to the journalist lurking in the trees and their focus shifted to you and Namjoon instead because this would take the world by storm.
Your manager felt that something might happen that day so he had discussed with Bang PD and Manager Sejin prior on precautions to take. Scanning around the crew, the person he was most suspicious of was clearly communicating when phones weren’t allowed, so he sent an alert to Bang PD and other people involved with this concern.
You were fast asleep in Namjoon’s arms so only he was made aware of what was about to take place. BigHit was ready to post their confirmation that you were way past dating, on the way to marriage and you weren’t with Jin at all. (Jin was with someone else, but they couldn’t disclose that yet).
The moment Dispatch had released photos of you not only with Jin but also with Namjoon, BigHit immediately dropped the truth. They dismissed Dispatch’s accusations of you “whoring” around with both idols, sharing that you and Namjoon share a long past and will continue to share the future with each other.
It was a win for both you two and BigHit. You could finally go on dates and post about each other. And BigHit?
They finally sued Dispatch.

ngl seeing all those posts you reblogged about that danish actress Sidse made me want to watch the show lol. Do you have any other danish tv series or films to recommend ? I'm so unfamiliar with the danish film industry but I would love to discover more of it!
OMG THIS IS MY MOMENT !!!!!!
You have no idea how happy this makes me lmao. If i can make people watch danish stuff my goal in life is ACHIEVED haha.
Danish film industry is small but has some very good stuff.
Here are some of my favorite films (all of them are very dramatic and sad i’m sorry lmao):
The Guilty, directed by Gustav Möller (2018): This is a very special film. It’s about a police officer getting an emergency call from a woman who is being kidnapped, but the call is suddenly over. And the whole film is about him trying to solve the case from his office on the phone. There’s only one set, the office, and like 3 camera angles. You actually follow the story by listening to the film, which is so great but also very stressful. The sound editing is just phenomenal ! An amazing thriller. And it’s a FIRST feature film, which is even more impressive.
A Royal Wedding, by Nikolaj Arcel (2012): A period film about a real historic event in Denmark in the late 18th century. I wanted to watch it for Mads Mikkelsen and discovered Alicia Vikander thanks to that film. they’re both phenomenal. It’s not a happy film though, you gotta be ready lol.
The Hunt, directed by Thomas Vinterberg (2012) : Again, Mads Mikkelsen is incredible in this film. He carries the whole film so brilliantly. One of the best performance i’ve seen. Truly one of the best actor of his generation. The film is great, but once again, pretty tough haha.
R directed by Tobias Lindholm (2012):  This is also from real events. the story is about a cook in a merchant ship being taken hostage by Somalian pirates. Captain Philips is the US remake of the film ! There are two great actors Pilou Asbæk (Borgen, Game of Thrones) and Søren Malling (The Killing, Borgen) in it !
After The Wedding, directed by Susanne Bier (2006): Another very sad film about a family drama haha. With another exceptional cast: Mads Mikkelsen (yes again) and Sidse Babett Knudsen
Festen, directed by Thomas Vinterberg (1998). Another very intense family drama. But it’s so so good, I needed a little while to get over it tbh. I think it got the Prix du Jury at Cannes .
Pusher I, II, III, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (1996, 2004, 2005). This is clearly not for everyone. To be frank, I saw the two first films too young and I was traumatized by it lmao. And i never saw the third one. But I don’t remember much so i don’t know how really tough it is. You’ll see a very young Mads in it, but more importantly you’ll see Kim Bodnia, whom you might recognize if you watch Killing Eve !
And here are a couple of TV series !
The Killing (3 seasons - 2007-2012). A great crime show. Every season focuses on one case/investigation. The US tried to make a remake of it but it’s bad so please watch the original show lol. The cast is again really good. Sofie Grabøl is an amazing lead actress and her character Sarah Lund deserves all the happiness in the world. i still think about the final episode every day and i want to SCREAM.
Borgen (3 seasons - 2010-2013) of course. A political show about a woman who becomes the Prime Minister of Denmark and all the consequences of it. I swear to you that it’s NOT boring and Birgitte Nyborg is the best woman and prime minister ever.
The Bridge (4 seasons - 2011-2018). Another crime show, this time it’s half danish and half swede, which is also very fun. A great dynamic duo lead by Kim Bodnia and Sofia Helin. I barely started the show though, so i can’t really say much about it haha!
If you’re interested in more Sidse Babett Knudsen projects, she’s also in two pretty good french films, L’Hermine (Courted) and La Fille de Brest (150 Milligrams) both from 2015. Because of course as the perfect woman she is, she can speak french very well !
I’m sorry for making such long lists, I just got very excited haha! I hope it helps at least !

Why do stray cats follow me? P. 3
I know it doesn’t look like it yet, but this is a (really slow burn) MariChat story. Please don’t hate me.
Part [1] [2] [3]
Adrien’s day had been tired so far. It started at 6 am with Gorilla waking him up.
“Where’s Nathalie?” He said, with his eyes still semi closed.
“... Not coming today.”
Adrien had a well-balanced, lonely, and healthy breakfast. At 7 am he was already in Pont de Bir-Hakeim for the ‘City Life Collection’ photo shoot of this year. Vincent was talking to the Art Director about locations and special lighting for the shoots when he spotted him.
“Adrien, you’re already here! Go to make up and dress yourself up with combo number 4 first.”
Walking to the dresser he saw Lila with the hair stylist and saluted them from afar. He already knew she was going to be there. For some reason unknown to him, his father agreed on three photo shoots with her. This was barely the second. And because she was good at it, it wouldn’t surprise him that she will eventually sign up for more.
Six long hours passed, and they were done. To celebrate, everyone in the set ate lunch together. Lila was stuck by his side and he didn’t push her off, to be fair, she wasn’t doing anything wrong to anyone that day, so he tried (and failed) to have fun as well. He meant it when he talked to her: they could be ‘friends’ but there was a limit to how much he will be able to endure, specifically if she insisted on hurting his friends.
"Adrien, do you want to go to somewhere else and enjoy the rest of the day with me?”
“Thank you, Lila, but I can’t”
“If it is because of your father, maybe I can talk to him?”
“I had plans with Nino today, but they got cancelled because Father wants me to practice a new song for an upcoming event. I don’t think his opinion will change.”
“Oh... okay, later then.”
Adrien entered his car without offering her a ride, Gorilla closed the door and Adrien lowered down the window. “Yes, later. Have a nice day, Lila”
“Bye!” Lila said and Gorilla started the engine and the car moved away from her, who kept waving goodbye until they disappeared in the next corner.
And it was true. Nino wanted to show him how to breakdance and he really wanted to learn, he didn’t specify with his father about the plans, but Gabriel Agreste had a sixth sense when it comes to letting him have fun with friends. Suddenly the day before he was informed that there will be an event host by the Tsurugi family next month and he was supposed to play a couple songs during the evening: “Painted” and “River Flows in You”, both from Yiruma.
He already knew the second one by heart. It was one of her mother’s favorites.
So, he returned to the mansion and started to practice the first one. For the first two hours he was practicing seriously. The third hour he recorded himself to create a loop that would be played later when Chat Noir went out to play.
Gorilla appeared at his door around two hours and a half later to give him some food. He returned the empty dishes just before going out. His recording had a very elaborate edit of his very best try, looped three times, and then a couple recordings with errors here and there. If his father came when the errors were being played, he won’t disturb. If he went when the recording was sounding perfect and realize he still was playing, he won’t interrupt neither. Nobody will enter his room in the next 3 hours, probably. It was almost 5 pm.
“Plagg, claws...”
“Wait!” Plagg interrupted him mid-sentenced.
“Plagg?”
“First you shush me because you are recording and now you suddenly transform without saying a word? What happened to your manners kid?”
“Sorry Plagg, but I didn’t have any recording of that song, and I really wanted to go out.”
Plagg was still playing hard. Floating with both arms crossed in front of Adrien’s face “Where are we going today?”
“I don’t know... anywhere else but here.” Plagg was still with his tiny arms crossed, clearly upset for being ignored. “But I’m sorry bud, do you want extra cheese before going out today? Or do you want to stay? We can play video games if you want.”
Adrien would probably never realize how much Plagg loved him. He dropped his arms and decided to go lie down to the blonde’s head so he couldn’t see his face. Adrien moved something inside Plagg with his suggestion to stay home to make him, the God of Destruction, feel better when clearly Adrien just wanted to run away. “Nah, I ate the emergency supplies when you were recording. I’m fine if I got three extra cheeses when we return”
Adrien pet Plagg’s head over his head with a smile “You are incorrigible buddy. Plagg, claws out!”
                            ━━━━━━━━※━━━━━━━━
To be honest, she woke up that morning thinking that her day was going to be exhausting.
But here she was, smiling, hugging Luka’s back on the way home, resting her head on him. Both were on his bicycle, carrying an empty box behind.
Luka smelled like lavender, probably because of the cloth softener in his house, but it recalled her freedom and peace. And she just wanted to keep hugging him all day.
It has been an awesome day so far. She woke up late but on time to meet Luka. She stayed very late the previous day dividing the gifts by types. Sweaters, scarfs, gloves, hats, everything was also divided by colors. She tagged everything, unwrapped it and put it into bags, and those bags into a box.
Luka gently carried her around Paris to deliver the clothes into a couple charities for homeless. They got lunch together by the Seine. They saw street performers by the Eiffel Tour doing brake-dance and a couple mimes playing with kids.
Luka bought her a smoothie and they walk down the Jardin des Tuileries while talking about everything and nothing at the same time.
When they passed near Notre Dame, he told her he would like to show her his new progress with her melody, so she listened quietly the 2 minutes song on a bench next to him, watching the peaceful Parisians enjoying a sunny and beautiful Saturday.
Everything was lovely and colorful. So far, no Hawkmoth, no Chloé, no Lila, no stress, no danger. It was like a vacations day and she was up to live it full for what it last. Since the moment she opened her eyes she was waiting for the next akumatized person to show up and change her plans, but it was already 4:00 pm and Luka was successfully distracting her from her own thoughts.
Luka never asked her why she had so much male clothes, and even that small detail gave her peace at mind. He didn’t judge, he just listened.
There was a moment in which she was startled by a purple butterfly on Notre Dame. He immediately put himself on between them, with a fierce determination. But it was a regular butterfly. They laughed together by the realization but laughs stopped when he hugged her.
“I promise I will protect you with all I have if Hawkmoth dare to attack today”
And Marinette knew it was true, he has already done it after all, jumping to protect her from the bees last time. If Luka haven’t done that, who knows what would have happened to her that day.
It made Marinette immediately sad. It was horrible to know that thanks to Chloé: Luka will never be Viperion again, Alya couldn’t be Rena, Max couldn’t be Pegasus, Kim couldn’t be Roi Singe, Kagami shouldn’t be Ryuuko and Nino couldn’t be Carapace.
Of course, Luka thought she was suddenly sad because Marinette was scared for him. He caressed her cheek. “Don’t be sad, Marinette. If there’s something I’m scared of is not Hawkmoth, but to not being able to cheer you up when you are distressed”
Marinette hid her face in his chest.
“You want to talk about it?” He asked, softly.
“What do you think will happen if Hawkmoth wins?” she mumbled.
“That won’t happen. Paris has the best heroes on earth.”
“But what if” she insisted.
Luka meditated his answer for a couple seconds “Then everybody in Paris will help Ladybug and Chat Noir to get a proper revenge. If Hawkmoth ‘wins’ I’m sure everybody will fight along with them to help them restore everything back. Including us both. Am I right?”
Marinette let a little giggle escape her lips. “But of course, Luka”
“I can imagine you as a hero you know, brave, smart, beautiful”
Marinette blushed immediately “Ugh... stop. Don’t exaggerate”
“I am not!” he said, kissing her forehead. Marinette’s heart skipped a beat. “You will probably overshadow Ladybug. At least to my eyes.”
She didn’t immediately reply to that. She was feeling too many butterflies in her belly and even her neck was probably red right now. She covered her face with her hands and mumbled a quiet “Thank you”.
Luka released her from the hug and got on his bicycle again “Let’s go, I don’t want your parents to think I kidnapped you.”
And really, time flies. How come she already spent 8 hours with Luka without noticing it?
So here she was. In her way home, hugging Luka’s back and smiling while mumbling the melody he played for her a couple hours ago. Since the last battle she has spent countless hours talking to Tikki and the other kwamis, studying, learning about history and her new role responsibilities and thinking about strategies. She had been holding quite difficult discussions in her room lately. And she didn’t even have the chance to talk to Chat Noir yet.
So, it felt good to be able to relax today. She didn’t realize she needed a moment of peace that much.
She also didn’t notice Chat Noir jumping from rooftop to rooftop, but he did spot them and gave them a sincere smile from afar.
“Hey, Luka”
Marinette called him from behind when they were a couple streets from her home.
“Yes? Do you want me to stop?”
“No, just change directions please”
“Change directions? Where do you want to go?”
“Anywhere” She hugged him stronger. “If it is okay. I just want to stay a little more with you today. Just one more hour.”
Luka’s heart shrank and he almost lost control of the bicycle by Marinette sudden comment.
“Do you want to see the sunset from Sacre Coeur?” He asked.
“I would love to”
                           ━━━━━━━━※━━━━━━━━
Adrien arrived home before anyone noticed it and went downstairs to have dinner at the same time as always. His dad was unexpectedly waiting for him at the table.
“Father? What are you doing here?”
“I have some news to share with you, Son” Gabriel asked him to take a sit with his hand. Someone from the service staff served him a plate with onion soup, toasted bread and a glass of water.
When they were alone, his father started conversation again “As you know, Nathalie have not been feeling well lately”
“Is she sick again?” Adrien was looking at his food with a sad look. Something that was stressing him out lately was how much Nathalie’s condition resembled his mom’s.
“Yes, but there’s good news on that regard” Adrien raised his gaze with a hint of hope. “A doctor found out what was happening to her. She will be out for three weeks for recovery, but she will be cured”
“Really? That’s awesome!” Adrien stood up with energy and a smile from side to side, truly excited for the good news “What did she had?”
“Something related to her inner ear, which explains the dizziness. A minor surgery fixes it”
“Can we go and visit her?”
“She prefers not to. But you are welcome to find a gift if you want, for when she returns” His father kept his gaze busy on his tablet, probably still working.
“I will do it, thanks, Father”
                          ━━━━━━━━※━━━━━━━━
When Marinette closed the door of her room, Tikki flew in front of her with a smile.
“Marinette, did you have fun today?”
“Yes!” Marinette ran to the divan and laid there hugging a cat pillow, while giggling “Today was great, Tikki. I think I didn’t have this much fun in a while.”
“I’m glad” Tikki sat above the cat pillow.
“But as fun as the day was today,” Marinette sat down, letting the pillow aside and holding Tikki on her hands “We have work to do.” She climbed up the stairs of her bed and pull out the miraculous box out of her hidden spot.
She opened it and took the panjas bracelet, put it on and Roarr appeared in front of her. “Hi Guardian! Is it my turn today?”
Marinette giggled at the little kwami “Hello there, would you please be as nice as to help me to know you better?”
“I like peanuts!” Roarr answered fast “I don’t like when the weak is abused, I’m very protective”
“I know you can control the lighting of a place and reflect yourself to camouflage” Marinette was taking notes “I also know you take most of the decisions with Sass back in the box when Tikki and Plagg are out”.
“I have had only 13 permanent holders. Nothing compared to the others, so I’ve stayed most of my time taking care of the world inside the box”
“By what circumstances have you been handled to permanent holders?”
“I was stolen 4 times, 7 times I was needed to hide the order of the guardians, 1 time the guardian of the box preferred my powers to fulfill his job, you know, like Master Fu with Wayzz, and one time the Guardian of the box preferred the Pig miraculous, and give my miraculous to his lover so I can help to keep the box safe with her.”
Marinette stopped writing. “What?”
“What, what?”
“A Guardian share this secret with his lover?! Who was it?”
“It was many, many centuries ago” Roarr jumped from Marinette’s hand to her hair “The guardian was married when he was appointed to the task and he decided that the way to keep his family protected was to share the secret with Abelia.”
“Was it a good idea?”
“Many tragedies overcome his family. I know Abelia didn’t regret any.”
They chatted a bit more, Marinette did a pause to get her some peanuts, she showed her the room and what she liked to do and finally they wish each other sweet dreams after a couple hours of getting to know each other.
It was already after midnight and Marinette was already laid on bed when a noise called her attention.
“Ugh... again?”
She popped her head out and saw a watering can spinning on the floor. It stopped and a little kitty walked out there.
“What are you doing inside there, little buddy?” It was a brown kitty, smaller than the one she saw the other day, but this time the kitty didn’t run away the moment he heard her. It walked to the watering can again, searching for something. Marinette saw how he started to lick the metal, so she went out and pour him some water in a flowerpot base she saw near him.
The kitty followed her and started to drink water “Were you thirsty little one?” She couldn’t help it and pet his head a little. “Such a cutie”
Part [1] [2] [3]
Gosh I’m the worst... I know this looks like a Lukanette (which I also love) but this is the most realistic turn I can take after that season finale! This is a Marichat story even if I haven’t prove it yet :) (please remember the sloow slowwww burn disclaimer from part 1)

Hello, I love your writing, can you please do: 102. — RFA + how they are as parents?
Jaehee
I definitely see Jaehee as more of a structurally-strict parent.
Guidelines, boundaries, rules: they’re super important to her. After all, kids are happier when they know what parents expect, right? It also comes from the fact that, deep down, she’s a very anxious person. She puts in rules so her anxiety doesn’t cause her to flip-flop. The last thing she wants is for her nerves to rub off on her child in a way that makes them nervous, too.
However, Jaehee is not overly strict. She’s kind and tender. If her kid messes up or breaks a rule, she’s more the type to sit them down and ask them why they did that, what’s behind the action, why they’re suddenly acting out.
Her gentle nature definitely helps her when it comes to mothering. True, she expects certain things, but she’s not the type to get angry, even when nervous.
She never yells. You’ll never catch her shouting at her child, no matter what they’ve done. To her, that’s the opposite of helpful. Getting louder doesn’t prove your point.
She upholds standards so they’ll know how to survive in the world. Every rule comes from a place of love. She doesn’t make them up for no reason.
When they’re younger, she’s a bit harder on them, but that’s to show that the standards are there for a reason.
No, you can’t eat candy for breakfast. Why? Because it’s unhealthy.
No, you can’t sleepover at your friends’ house. Why? Because I don’t know their parents.
She might come off as overprotective, but trust me: it comes from a place of pure love. Her greatest fear is not being able to protect her baby. She’ll do everything in her power to make sure that fear never comes to fruition.
As they grow older, the rules are less strict but still existent.
Despite all the rules that sometimes create animosity between her and her child, you will find no bigger cheerleader than Jaehee. She’s at every practice, every recital, every event. Even work comes second to her baby. She’s that mom, the embarrassing one screaming their kid’s name and pulling them into a big hug, no matter their age.
Jumin
His parenting style is similar to Jaehee in a lot of ways.
From day one, his child knows what’s expected. There are ground rules and they will be enforced with a gentle hand.
However, unlike Jaehee, Jumin is more open to changing those rules if a good argument is made. This applies more to when his kid is older, but the last thing Jumin wants to do is constrict or suffocate his child.
This has to do a lot with his own upbringing. His father was a kind man, but Jumin always felt like he had to be perfect, otherwise the love would disappear.
He never wants his child to feel like that, so Jumin is open about his mistakes. He’s definitely the type of parent to apologize when he realizes he’s done something wrong, no matter the time of day. There have been times when he’s woken them up in the middle of the night to say he’s sorry.
Jumin doesn’t know what he’s doing half the time when it comes to being a dad. His kid knows that, and as they grow older, they do their best to be well-behaved.
The open-line of communication Jumin encourages keeps the house pretty level-headed. Fights are few and far between, and mostly sprout from heated debates.
Also, like Jaehee, Jumin is a huge cheerleader for his kid. But let’s be honest: everyone in the RFA is going to be crazy supportive and vocal for their kids. They just go about it in different ways.
Jumin, however, has the money and resources to put his kid in just about any hobby or interest they have.
One week they’re interested in horses? Guess who just signed them up for lessons with a world-class trainer?
Oh, and now they’re talking about swimming? Jumin’s already dialing his groundsman, inquiring about how much it would cost to turn the floor below the penthouse into an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
He never wants his kid to feel like they have to grow up to be just like him, or even have a little bit of interest in his company. All he wants is for them to be safe and happy; the rest can work itself out.
All in all, Jumin throws himself into being a father, giving 110% effort. For the first time in his life, work comes second, and he wouldn’t change it for the world.
Seven
And then there’s Seven. Oh boy.
If there ever was a father that’s the personification of a bad dad-joke, that’s Seven.
After just spewing headcanons for Jumin and Jaehee, this guy is…very different. Those two had rules for good reason, but Seven? He doesn’t really believe in rules. At all. That carries over into fatherhood.
Like, just be a good person, maybe wait until you’re older to break the law, and make sure you come to me if you get in trouble. That’s basically his attitude as far as rules are concerned.
It’s not that he doesn’t care. Trust me, he cares a fuckton. When you think about the horrible childhood he had, everything starts to make sense.
His mother had Seven and his brother out of wedlock, fathered by a powerful politician. She used them for money and abused them because she felt like it. The Choi boys never felt safe in their house, not once. They were always on edge and scared of the next outburst, worried as to when they might eat again, and fearful of the future.
Seven would rather die than have his kid go through anything like that. He takes it upon himself to provide everything, more than his kid could ever want. He’s definitely the type of dad to go way overboard with clothes, toys, treats, and basically everything.
He’s a goofy parent. When his child is a baby and toddler, he’s constantly doing silly things to make them laugh. Strange faces, weird voices, throwing himself on the floor or into the nearest piece of furniture, he’ll do just about anything to see them giggle and clap their hands.
He’s so animated, and that doesn’t go away when they get older. While Jaehee is the embarrassingly supportive mom, Seven is just plain embarrassing. He’s going to throw enormous birthday parties, holidays, graduations…Face it. Seven’s going to go waaay overboard for every occasion.
Because why not? He never celebrated anything when he was a kid, so now he puts everything into celebrating his little one.
Piggyback rides and shoulder rides are happening, whether his kid likes it or not. And he’s 100% the dad that throws their kid into the air, probably a little higher than he should. Spinning them around in circles, getting on the floor and playing horsie, breaking into tickle wars, Seven’s going to be a more physical kind of parent. Hugs, snuggles, naps, the whole shebang.
More than just being fun though, Seven wants to make sure that his kid’s needs are always taken care of. He never wants them to worry about anything: money, safety, food or water, affection, nothing.
This also transfers into being overprotective, although he’s not a helicopter parent. He has other ways of watching their every mood, such as CCTV cameras and tracking their cell. Not that he looks at what they’re doing on it, he respects their privacy, but he does like to know where they are at every second. Between his past and his job, no one can blame him.
Honestly, he might not tell them as much as he should due to the fact that he has a hard time with connection and emotions, but Seven is so freakin’ proud of his kid. They could do anything, be anything, and he’d be equally as proud of them. There isn’t anything they could do to change that.
Yoosung
Honestly, if you want the calmest and collective parent in the RFA, Yoosung is your best bet.
While he can be a little immature at times, having a kid of his own really caused Yoosung to step up and into his role as a father.
When they’re a baby, he’s both overprotective and insecure. Yoosung had a fairly average childhood with good parents, so he’s surprised when doubts of his abilities slip into his mind. Is he a good enough dad? What if he’s doing too much, or not enough? What if he makes a huge mistake and can’t fix it?
Over time, he realizes that he underestimated himself and that every parent has those doubts. He comes to terms that, while he isn’t his mom or dad, they gave him a stable childhood where he was able to grow up happy and content. So he tries his hardest to recreate that feeling for his own kid.
Happy-go-lucky in nature, Yoosung is definitely the kind of parent that’s still in touch with his childish side. Obviously, one of the biggest way he and his child bond is through video games. As they grow up, Yoosung buys them all the best for their age group. It becomes their thing, dad-bonding time as it were.
Another thing they bond over is food. After taking up cooking even more after becoming a father, Yoosung never ceases to take up even the most ridiculous food-related challenge from his kid. When they’re little, it often ends in absurd creations that both parties agree should never be recreated.
However, when his child gets older, it shifts into something they do on the weekends to de-stress and talk about their week. Yoosung is thankful for the helping hand and is happy to show off his self-taught tricks.
Open-dialogue is so important to him, as it is to basically everyone in the RFA. He’s constantly curious as to what his kid’s up to, what their friends are, what their hobbies are. He’s not overbearing or overprotective; he has no reason to be. He honestly just wants to know so he can relate to them better. He’s even been found reading up on something his kid mentioned in passing.
Definitely the kind of dad to offer up the house for sleepovers and play-dates, even into high school. The Kim household is a place where kids love to go. There are always sodas in the fridge, always junk food in the pantry, and always the newest video game tech ready in the living room. Because of his nature, Yoosung relates a lot to kids, even as he grows older.
Honestly, Yoosung just tries to be there for his child, no matter what they need. If that’s money for a trip, he’s got it covered in surplus. If it’s a night to relax after a long week of finals, he’s already prepped their favorite meal and rented a movie. If it’s a talk about something important, he’s already sitting on the sofa with open arms.
Zen
Besides Seven, I think the person with the most to prove–and the most to make up for–when it comes to fatherhood is Zen. His childhood was a joke. Between his mother constantly telling him he was ugly, to the brother that betrayed him, it’s no wonder he has doubts about having his own child.
But, by god, is he a natural.
Of all the members of the RFA, I think that Zen’s loving and caring nature makes him the most natural father. While the others had some maturing to do, or at least a shift in central focus, Zen is already there. He’s already mature, and he already puts others first. While becoming a dad stretches muscles he hasn’t had to use before, it’s nothing that doesn’t come easy to him.
A really big thing for Zen is assurance. He’s constantly telling his kid how good they’re doing, even before they can comprehend what that means. From the very first breath they take, to their first steps and first words, to their first day at school, and every little thing that follows: Zen will always tell his child how amazing they’re doing. Even if they mess up, he’s right there, complimenting them on how hard they tried and how he’s proud that they didn’t give up.
But more than just ability, Zen is insistently reassuring his kid about their looks. That’s a really important facet of mental health. He knows all too well how a parent can affect how a child views themselves. ‘Cause if he can help it, his kid is going to grow up with the best damn body image ever. He knows he can’t prevent every bad thought that finds its way into their head, but he’d be damned if he was the cause of a single one of those demons.
He’s constantly telling them how good they look. When they’re younger and still unable to pick out their clothes, he tells them they look adorable. When they’re older, toddler to elementary, he allows them to dress themselves, even takes them shopping when they want a new look.
Who the hell cares if they pick out something that doesn’t conform with gender stereotype, or something with clashing colors? They look fucking adorable in that Pokemon shirt and zebra-pattern tutu. Anyone even thinks about saying something about it? Good luck. They gotta deal with Papa Zen.
When they’re a pre-teen and teenager, that freedom of expression expands into hair and makeup. Whatever gender they are, Zen is more than happy to encourage them to do whatever the hell they want with both. I mean, it’s not as if his look is traditional, per se. Even as a father, who is he to tell his kid what they can and cannot do to their appearance? As long as it doesn’t hurt themselves or anyone else, he couldn’t care less. He thinks it’s awesome.
Zen applies that attitude to most areas of parenting. Rules and punishments, personal choices, successes and failures–whatever his kid does, as long as they’re not hurting themselves or others, he supports them.
It’s not to say he’s not involved. Oh, no. Quite the opposite. Zen’s an actor, and as such, he knows how hard it can be for the world to accept someone that’s out of the ordinary (or what he would call extraordinary.) Whether that be a styling choice or a career choice or a romance choice, Zen will always be involved in his kid’s life. Never as an opposing force. Always as a supporting hand.
Basically, when it comes down to it, Zen is going to be the kindest, most supportive dad ever. His kid is going to know from day-one that Zen is always in their corner, and that if there’s anything they’re interested in or need help with, they can go to him. If they have problems, Zen is there to help. If they want to go after a dream that everyone says is impossible…Well, you know Zen is going to be right beside them, encouraging them to make their mark on the world.
