you two are at your house just vibing and at some point you head into the kitchen to make food

and hes leaning against the counter right in front of the cabinet you need to get to

but he has the audacity not to move the fuck outta the way when you tell him you need to get past 

so youre like ok fuck it and just reach around him to open it 

but the bowl you need is pretty high up so youre like on your tippy toes tryna get the damn thing and hes just sitting there watching you struggle

but riiiiight as youve got the bowl, you end up grabbing it a little too forcefully and you bring like a million dishes down with it 

so ofc even though he definitely deserves it, youre not trying to concuss the poor guy with literal ceramic dishes raining down on him

and, hearing the crash of dishes over his head, he naturally ducks because he doesnt want to die

eventually he kinda pulls back but only a little bc he knows youre struggling to hold onto the dishes and he doesnt wanna screw that up

and he doesnt even say anything he just reaches up awkwardly and helps you set the dishes back on the shelf

and then he grabs the bowl youd been trying the get the entire time and hands it to you with a completely blank face 

its a very awkward dinner im not gonna lie

ennoshita’s taking a break from studying with the second years on the team

mostly bc he never gets any studying done with them 

so youre studying together for a test at his house

and its just been many many hours of studying so ofc youre both exhausted

so its not surprising to him when you just pass out on your notes

but the thing is,,, your heads right on top of a sheet that he needs

and for a while he just kinda studies without it

he studies other stuff and tries to remember it on his own so he can fill in the gap in his notes

but eventually hes like fuck i really need these notes

so he just,,, tries to slide it out from under your head really carefully

and it involves a lot of him getting really close and trying to lift your head and a bunch of really soft cute things that would be super embarrassing for him to be caught doing

and youre really confused bc you can feel his breath fanning over your face and his eyes are really close but not focused on you, theyre focused on smth under your face

so you lift your head to see what hes doing

but he freaks out and moves his face when he notices youre awake

and its just a litto brush of your lips over his as your faces are passing each other

but the poor bub jumps back like you just shocked the crap out of him

and then he apologizes for like the next ten minutes and its impossible to get back to studying bc youre both just panicking internally

this literally happens like it does in the movies

it all starts with a chase scene

that really you should never have been a part of

youre just minding your business walking down the hall after school on your way to get your stuff

and its pretty empty bc you had a club thing so its late afternoon and no ones around

and you just hear it

men screaming

and then he appears, barreling around the corner like his life depends on it

and youre like

this cant be good

and when he sees you hes yelling out for you like HELP ME 

but you somehow always manage to get caught in the miya twin antics so youre like

fuck no im out

but apparently youre not out bc atsumus grabbing your arm and dragging you behind him yelling smth about scissors and a haircut

and when you look back you just see suna rounding the corner, half of his little triangle haircut chopped off so he looks like a sad half onigiri,,,

but you know it was atsumu and that this man is definitely dead when suna catches him

so youre like okay fuck it i guess im helping him AGAIN 

and you get outside to a section of the school where theres still sports teams practicing and lots of people around so you hide in a corner together

but the Suna Energy is approaching so atsumu fuckin freaks and does that cheesy movie thing where he ducks his head down so he wont be seen 

but theres like a group of guys passing by and one of them just bumps into atsumus back and that shit just sends him right into you

and all he can think is “oops”

he only has one brain cell give him a break

but he just stalls completely and forgets about the whole suna thing

but ofc his hair is fucking piss yellow and suna has not forgotten

he ends up totally getting his ass beat  but after that little smooch atsumus definitely a bit keen to see you more often

ok so i Started saying this in that other post but the Thing About keane is that he doesnt come off as being That Bad through the most of the movie. obviously hes not a good person; the fact that he works for merrick and that hes ex special forces alone is sus as fuck (like buddy, why arent you still in special forces?)

but in comparison to dr kozak (sadist) and merrick (also a sadist) keane doesnt seem that bad. he spends most of the movie standing around in douchebag suits and being intimidating. there are only like five scenes where we see him touch other people, ‘cause all he really does is order his goons around, and Usually when we Do see him touch people, he’s more or less Your Usual Brand of Asshole about it

2.) knocking out andy and booker with the sedative

3.) knocking out copley

4.) the joenicky fight scene

and in all of those, excluding the the joenicky fight scene (and the joe fight scene which i just said doesnt count) keane’s.... eh? hes not nice but he could be way meaner.

The Joe Grab: obviously not Good Boy behavior, obviously aggressive, but he doesnt hurt joe here. hes not even cutting off joe’s air, he’s just grabbing him.

i mean. in reaction to the headbutt, keane threatens joe without harming him, the goon behind joe pistol whips him, and merrick stabs him. of the three reactions we get, keane’s is the most mild. look, his finger isnt even on the trigger

andy & book; again not good boy behavior, but again he could have been way worse. when he sedates andy she struggles like fuck, and you can even see keane kind of stumble as he tries to hold her down. even so, he doesnt hit her to get her to stop, a thing his goons do fairly regularly to the others, and even when he grips her neck to hold her still, he’s holding her jaw more than her neck (look at his thumb). in the aftermath, she doesnt even have any marks. (this coming from the movie that gave merrick a red spot on his forehead for like a whole minute after joe headbutted him. lmao suck it merrick)

and when he goes for book, more of the same. he just kind of... holds him in place, despite his struggling. its professional . hes just a dude doing his job. Keane The Professional.

when he knocks out copley right after thats the only other time we see him personally harm someone, and even then that was with a specific order from merrick (you see him give keane A Look) and theres nothing sadistic there either. he hit copley, copley was out(TM), the end.

None Of This Gives Any Indication Of Keane Enjoying Causing Pain

AMND THEN: THE JOENICKY FIGHT

and Many People have discussed this fight so i wont go off too hard but. this fight. it lasts roughly thirty seconds. Thirty. and of those thirty seconds, keane spends about... eh, seventeen focused on nicky? (the kicking, the gun, etc) on joe? he spends about three. as in seconds. the other ten seconds is mostly keane getting beat on or standing ominously above the two of them.

and of the few analyses ive seen, people point out keane being homophobic as his motivation here (and he definitely is) but homophobia alone doesnt explain why keane WENT OFF on nicky specifically.

because like! the beginning of this fight! keane sends all of his goons after nile booker and andy! SIX men to fight THREE immortals, leaving KEANE ALONE to fight the other two! and then he walks into the room joe and nicky are in, sees them both lying there,

ADN HE PUTS AWAY HIS GUN

like! he already won the fight right then and there! nicky and joe were on the floor! a bullet to the head to both of them to keep them down and keane would have had them both, but no, keane puts his gun away, grabs his zipties,

AMDN then he goes straight for fucnening nicky

it would make Sense if hed gone for joe. he and joe have established beef. the headbutt. the speech in the van (which im sure keane heard at some point since those guards had bodycams and im sure keane wanted to know how he and nicky managed to kill his men and looked at the footage) --and theres the killing of the men itself, but both joe and nicky did that together. so.

either way, joe has been challenging the authority of keane and his men since he had the breath to do so. nicky’s barely glanced in keane’s direction (beyond the killing the men thing, which weve established both he and joe did)

other than that, worst thing nicky’s done to keane is nearly bump into him while he was busy making Disappointed Eye Contact with copley

but anyways: keane doesnt go for joe! he walks past joe’s body and goes for nicky, who’s just barely begun to move. it would also make sense, at this point, to put a bullet in nicky’s head here. like i said, keane’s already won. Keane The Professional wouldve already killed him.

instead, keane kicks nicky in the head, stands there and watches nicky get up, then kicks him a second time, and watches him again. he goes to do it a third time before nicky gets the drop on him.

at no point prior to this in the movie do we see keane behave like this. he doesnt cause pain for the sake of causing it. he doesnt hurt people pointlessly. here, he does. theres no reason to be kicking nicky like this. its not accomplishing anything, it’s not helping him capture them. hes just doing it ‘cause he wants to. (not to mention, each time you see him go to kick nicky, he goes to kick harder)

and actually, doing this is actively stupid! joe is waking up a foot away. there are three other immortals on the loose. merrick is unaccounted for. and keane is just wasting time. by dicking around rn, he’s actively shooting himself in the foot.

but anyways, nicky punches keane, keane kicks him off, and then joe’s awake, and This is the detail i just noticed a little earlier-- but when keane gets up here and joe grabs him: his head is turned towards nicky. his eyes are turned towards nicky. he’s moving towards nicky, not joe, who is the active threat in the moment

he doesnt even acknowledge joe until joe’s hand is physically on his head. joe had to physically Hold the dude back from going after nicky again

and then we see keane’s behavior change again when he sets his sights on joe. Keane The Professional is back again- two rapid-fire punches aimed at joe, no nonsense, no drawing it out, and then he goes for his gun

he doesnt draw it out. he doesnt sit and watch joe suffer. that gif is in real time, thats how fast keane took joe out. two punches, shoulder, neck, and then an immediate escalation to lethal force.

like the difference between: keane putting his gun away and then keeping it away for fifteenish seconds while focusing on nicky

vs

when focusing on joe, it takes him.. about two seconds & some change to pull the gun out again

keane wanted joe dead, but he wanted nicky to fucking suffer

and the you know, theres the obvious gun in mouth thing, which other people have talked about. the only thing i have to say about That is that its another fucking example of keane shooting himself in the foot. hes in a room filled with gas w/ no gas mask, and theres a very pissed off joe like two feet away from him recovering by the second. however, he doesnt do the Keane The Professional thing and put a bullet in nicky’s forehead-- he deliberately leans down, grabs nicky’s hair (and its not like he needed to, nicky sure as hell wasnt going anywhere anyway, unable to breathe and probably still sitting on a concussion after being kicked in the head) and jams the gun in nickys mouth. he’s wasting time doing that. it would have been faster and easier to just shoot nicky in the head. (like he probably was about to do to joe, considering how he doesnt step any closer to joe as he pulls out the gun)

and then he just??? bounces??

he is, again, in a position where he’d practically won. he had nicky dead. joe was on the ground. he could have gone for his mask, or shot joe and then fucked off to get a breath of Good Air. gun is still in his hand. he doesnt even try to take out joe, not even just shooting over his shoulder as he left. he doesnt give a shit about joe once nicky’s dead.

nicky was dead, so keane just left. and he double takes at the body as he goes??

like at first i thought he was confused nicky wasnt getting up, but he knows how the immortals work, he saw joe and nicky die on the body cams at the church. like sir why are fucking looking? fuck off?

but yeah theres just no explanation for this! nicky has done practically nothing to keane, but keane just zeroed tf in on nicky with no provocation! it couldnt have been just homophobia, if it were he would have targeted joe the same way he did nicky. he had to have some other motivation for acting completely differently @ nicky than he does to any other character in the film, and then just. going back to normal once nicky was dead. its weird. its creepy. and theres like 0 explanation. dont like it

You had no idea what to expect when Bongjae handed you a letter to then book the complete opposite side of the campus. Curious you wanted to open the letter but you had to meet up with Seungmin to work on your final. Putting the letter in your bag it stayed stuck in your mind. What was it that Bongjae wrote you that made him so nervous for your reaction? Why couldn’t he have said it or texted it to you? All thoughts you had heading to the campus coffee shop getting ready to work with Seungmin.

Entire time it was very easy to tell your brain was else where. All your thoughts where about Bongjae. What was in that letter? Is it good or bad? Everything going through your head you had no idea what to expect it was not a usual occurrence for someone to give you a letter especially from Bongjae. He had been a bit tense before so it must have been something serious right? No matter what it was giving your stomach butterflies. Seungmin had noted it and realized today might not be the best day to work on the final, plus you had over 3 or so weeks to complete it so it’d be easy to start tomorrow instead.

“Do you want to rain check? You seem to have a lot on your mind.” Seungmin said with curiosity in his voice but not pushing anything from you.

“Yeah if that’d be possible it’d be dearly appreciated. I can text you about it later Min” You said moving everything from the table to respected bags saying goodbyes. 

Heading back to your dorm you slide past your roommate to your bed and opened up the letter from your bag. Opening it carefully to not rip the note your cheeks went red at the first sentence. 

What should I say? From the moment I saw you, my heart started to shake, in that same continuously repeating scene. It feels like I'm trapped. We only passed each other for a short while, but you stole my heart away.

Those words brought butterflies all through your body, did he really mean that? You’ve never had someone write you a love letter so it was incredibly endearing but foreign. You couldn’t lie you had feelings for him as well, I mean he’s so handsome and has a charming personality how could you not? Things started to make sense at how his face would redden when you put your hand on his arm in conversation or how he’d tense to your touch from hugs, or the way his eyes would change to a look you couldn’t put a finger on when you’d smile. Everything started to make sense. You continued to read the letter with a smile filling your face, did he really feel this way about you?

What should I do to fill your eyes? I'm already only looking at you. The moment I faced you, I could feel everything stopped. I can't forget your appearance in my eyes. I want to know everything about you.

“Here” You took the letter you had written from your bag and handed it to him.

“Oh.” He said with hope and confusion, opening the letter he looked to you quickly after reading through every word 3 times over.  

“So?” You said to him in curiosity of what could be next.

“This is your words right? This isnt a prank? I thought you liked Seungmin.” He said shocked, you took his free hand in yours smiling at him.

“I reference your own letter idiot, I mean every word. I don't want this attraction to stop even if its my greed, Instead of regretting, I want to be definite. Even if it's a little scary, I bet all of my everything, in the paused time to not let you leave, I’ll hold you tighter. Even if we're in the same time, slowly, even if it's just once, I want to try holding your hands more like this.” You said squeezing his hand. Filling your eyes with his pretty smile looking at you fondly.

Look I'm not one of those people who believe Kishimoto decided to have Hinata and Naruto end up in the middle part of Shippuden. I believe he decided in the very last arc but he wanted to sound smart so he said he decided earlier on. Otherwise, they obviously would have more scene together. In Shippuden, they have only three scenes together ; when Naruto came back, the pain attack and the neji death scene. That's it. In the original Naruto, they probably have less than ten canon scenes not including fillers.

So I'm sorry I'm one of those who wasn't convinced by The Last. They literally had a basic villain go after Hinata who was cringe btw (the villain). They gave Hinata op powers which she doesn't have in the novel 👀. Despite having op powers, they made her the damsel in distress. Very "The hero saves the princess" cliche. Again, to justify them being together. I mean Naruto can't differentiate his love for ramen and romantic love so how??? He was just being nice to Hinata just like he does to everyone. He stood up for her just like he does for everyone.

Don't get me started on the Sakura Sasuke relationship 🤣. Cringe. They never knew each other. The whole Sakura's love for Sasuke saved him doesn't make sense. They spent barely a year in their genin year before sasuke left. Sasuke tried to kill Naruto and Sakura multiple times. Then at the end of the war, Kishimoto tried to do the "oh they have such a deep understanding between each other" which comes off as cringey. He gets her pregnant then leaves for years. She's literally a single mom who's broke.

Every relationship in Naruto is so cringey and forced except shikatemari. Kishimoto should've focused on the main story and fixed his potholes and leave the ending open.

Naruto would not have been perfect but at least it would've been remembered for staying true to its vision but instead it's remembered for cringey relationships, dumbass villain (except pain and madara) and a story that lost its core which is a shame coz I used to love Naruto. I was inspired by its messages but now....

I mean, Naruto in general is a mess, not just the ships if we're being realistic. Alot of plotholes, rushed endings, this and that, the w a r a r c, Kaguya, the way they rushed Boruto ehhh. Honestly, getting into Naruto is literally my biggest regret of 2020 :"DD

Im an NH shipper as you can tell by my hotmess of a blog but i fully respect your opinion and understand your point of view. I also know a bunch of nh stans who have their complaints with their development. I wish Kishi gave more attention to his female cast really, thats all I fucking ask. If he did that one single basic thing, then maybe the endgame relationships wouldnt have been an asspull and theyd be given propper screentime with their love interest, both Sakura and Hinata. The Last tbh i think the writers played it safe and stuck to the whole Naruto shounen vibe thingy, so im not surprised it was plotted that way. Typical cliché shounen movie.

But does that bother me? No! The Last was a mess, their development was shit, they definitely needed more screentime but hey at the end of the day theyre cute as fuck, we have that kiss scene, flirting scenes, a shit ton of official art, three kids, Seiki's gif :33 and a whole ass arc for their wedding all that for just a shounen anime so eh. Compensates for it i guess xD theyre not toxic, unhealthy or whatnot. Theyre wholesome, soft and vanilla as fuck and exactly what i need in my hectic life rn. He did it again. This time it was one of the worst. Your eye was swollen shut, your ribs were broken. The wheezing told you that. A lung was punctured, probably. He couldn't control himself. You had to get out, just had too. So you went to the only place that you felt safe.

"Y/N, come in". Hank didnt even have to ask why you were there, he just let you in.

"Take off those wet clothes, I'll get you some dry ones". Hank hurried along to his room. You stood in the hall, shivering as you took the wet clothes off. Your body ached with every movement that you made. Biting your lip to stop you from sobbing.

Hank returned with a towel and some clothes. He held up the towel as you got dressed.

"I'll put on some coffee". He sighed as he saw the bruises on your arms and legs. You followed him to the kitchen.

"What was it this time"?

"The same". You whispered as you sat down at the table.

"You need to leave him. You dont deserve what this son of a bitch is doing to you". Hank slammed the kettle down on the stove. He heard you whimper. "Sorry".

"I know. I just can't. I dont know how".

"I'll talk with some people and get you into a womans shelter".

"He'll find me. Then he'll  do worse. I may not survive it then".

Hank shook his head as he grabbed two coffee cups and sat them on the table, he pour the coffee into cup. You wrapped your hands around the mug and took in the heat.

"You need to see a doctor".

"No I'm good".

"It wasn't a question. You need to get checked out. I'll call Will". Hank went to the house phone and got on it. You didnt want to drag anyone else into the mix but you were in serious pain. So much pain that you were struggling not to pass out.

Will arrived in a matter of minutes along with Jay. Hank let Will use his bedroom to check you over. It was a painful process. Every touch sent shock waves of pain through your body. Will bandaged you up and gave you some pain meds to help you sleep. Before he even left you were out.

"How is she"? Hank met Will at the bottom of the stairs.

"Well. A few broken ribs, a punctured lung. Busted lip, a fractured eye socket, luckily he didnt damage her eye. She has bruises up and down her legs and arms. Hand prints around her wrist and throat. Mark's on her back that look like it came from a belt. Right now she's lucky it wasn't worse than this. She needs to get out".

"I've told her that many of times".

"This happened more than once"? Will asked shocked.

"Third time this week".

"Hank, get her out or you'll be trying to solve her murder".

"I know who did it but she wouldn't press charges on him. I've tried to get her to".

"Then you have a girl that doesnt want help". Will frowned as he walked past Hank and out the door.

"If you need anything just call". Jay told Hank.

"Yeah. Thanks". Hank shut the door and blew out a breath he was holding. He went to the couch and sat there thinking.. Soon he drifted off to sleep.

The morning came, Hank was up and ready for work. He didnt want to disturb you so he let you sleep in but when he went up to check on you before he went off to work you weren't there. You hand went out the window, he didnt know why. Figure you were scared to face him or to ashamed but he knew where you were and that you'd be seeing him again.

During Hanks shift he tried not to think about you or your situation but you were on his mind. He called you three, four times. You never answered so after work he was going to stop by your place unannounced. Maybe that boyfriend of yours would be there, but he wouldn't do anything in front of Hank. He was to big of a coward to hurt you with Hank around.

"Hey Jay, I'm going to head out early. I have to stop somewhere". Hank told Jay while he put on his jacket. It was still raining out.

"Okay. You need back-up"? Jay already knew where he was headed. Hank might be a mystery to all but when he really cares about someone his guard is down.

"Nah, I think I'll be fine. Just stay by a phone just in case". Hank chuckled as he walked out the back, heading to his car. He left at the right moment.

"You stupid fucking bitch". Your boyfriend threw you into the wall with such force your shoulder dislocated.

"I'm sorry". You whimpered as you moved your arm, cowering in the corner of the kitchen.

"Then you shouldn't make me mad. I do so much for you and you give no thanks. That's what makes me mad". He jerked you up by your shoulders which hurt like a bitch.

"You're going to give me what I want or else". He threatened with a growl.

"You lay another damn finger on her, your brains will splatter this kitchen. Now put her down easy and step away". Hank had his gun pointed at the back of your abusive boyfriends head. Your boyfriend was nervous, the sweat beads rolling down his forehead. He let you down easy and stepped away from you.

Hank bent down to help you up, you hissed as your arm moved. "You okay"?

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just go".

"You're coming with me. Even if you dont press charges. You're leaving".

"She isnt going anywhere. That bitch owes me".

"You open you fucking mouth one more time, I'll put a bullet in it". Hank gripped the trigger on his gun. Just waiting for him to be stupid.

"I'll go with you Hank".

Hank smiled and wrapped his arm around you, leading you out. Then something stupid happened.

"She ain't going to open her legs for you either old man. You can save her all you want". Your ex boyfriend laughed, sticking up his middle finger.

Hank didnt think he quickly turned around and broke his middle finger. Of course he screamed out like a drama queen.

"I told you what would happen if you opened your mouth again, now didnt I"? Hank took the butt of the gun and smashed into your ex's mouth. He screamed in agony. Spitting out a few teeth.

"Thats for opening your mouth". Hank put his gun in his holster. Balled up his fist and punched him square in the nose. Then just released hell on him. Kicking and punching.  Stomping on his ribs and his broken finger. You were actually enjoying the sight. You didn't know it would have been this great of a feeling to see someone else have complete control over him, like he did once on you.

"Hank". You quietly spoke getting his attention also you didnt want him to kill him.

"One second". Hank told you. He reached behind him getting his cuffs. "Your under arrest for assault on a police officer". Hank jerk him over to his stomach and put the handcuffs on tightly.

"I didn't do shit". Your ex cried out.

Hank pulled him up by his ear, your ex was covered in blood. Hanks hands were covered.

"Call the station and ask for Jay". Hank asked of you. You nodded and went to your phone. Seeing that Hank called and texted you moments before he arrived. You called the station and Jay didn't ask any questions. He was on his way.

"You okay"? You came over to Hank as Jay loaded up your ex, hitting his head on the door as he was thrown in the back seat.

"Yeah. Let's got to my place and get cleaned up. Your house is a crime scene right now". Hank chuckled as he laid his on your back.

"Thank you for saving me, Hank. I know now I should have left long ago. I was just scared". You tell him as he cleaned your wounds with peroxide.

"Y/N, I know you were scared but you have me. I wouldn't hurt you.  I would have done my best to protect you. You deserve much better than him".

"Someone like you".

"Yeah, someone like me".

"It wasnt a question, Hank. You. You have been there for me when I needed help and when I couldn't think straight. I trust you more than anyone. You take better care of me than I do".

"You deserve to be cared for. Y/N, you're an amazing woman and you dont give yourself credit for that".

You smiled wide as you leaned into Hank. The smell of him made you go mad. "I like you Mr. Voight". You licked your lips as you looked down at his.

"I like you too". Hank let out a slow breath and then attached his lips to yours. Tge kiss was deep and soft. From the looks and personality of Hank you thought he'd be rough but no. He was so gently. Looks can be deceiving.

"Will you, you know"? You blushed as he looked into your eyes, waiting for you to say the words.

"Will I"?

"Will you be my first and show me what love really is"? You whispered softly.

"I will never hurt you". Hank picked you up carefully, you wrapped your arms around his waist as he carried you to his room.

Hank laid you gently on the bed, laying beside you, kissing your lips. He wanted to make sure you were comfortable and sure that this is what you wanted. He never wanted to make you feel unsafe with him.

As the night progressed, Hank showed you what it was like to be loved by someone that actually cared about you. Not just using you.  To love and cherish you. To make you feel wanted and the desire that Hank has for you. Something that you've never felt until you are with Hank.

Non-jittery Thoughts on 15.01

Alright, had some time too calm the hell down, so I could have thoughts beyond a keysmash and a crying emoji. Chances are, too, that I’ll have more to say once I sit down with the episode again. Had to get these initial reactions/musings out of the way first.

This episode did a bang up job setting up the personal plot points for tfw. I’m super excited to see where this is going: Dean’s hell trauma revisited, Sam’s wound and its connection to his own darkness, Cas still struggling with belonging, Dean and Cas’s continuous wrongfootedness coming to a head. It’s going to be a killer of a season emotionally, and I am Here. For. It. 

Full disclosure: the biggest chunk is destiel related. In my defense, Dabb & co. didn’t have to enable me, but here we are.

General Thoughts:

My hype was not squashed! We got a really strong season opener and I’m so happy about it. Sure, we got running ghosts. But overall the episode was incredible; just a solid SPN episode all around. A+ job and kudos to all involved ♥♥♥

The new title card is gorgeous and full of meta potential goodness. See this post for more on that; op hit it on the head I think. For additional analysis, there’s this post from different op that is killer.

Opening sequence with tfw fighting zombie ghosts and running for shelter? Amazing. Showstopping. Breathtaking. 

Dean’s grief over Jack that’s embroiled in his grief for Mary. Just. “He was our kid.” That’s some complicated shit right there. 

Gotta love all the tidbits hinting at what is to come during 15.a, at the very least, if not the larger goal of the season. Reading y’all’s thoughts on the episode has been great so far, and I can’t wait to see what else crops up this week.

On Sam: Currently, Sam’s role in the more interesting aspects of the plot continue to not quite match Dean’s, which has been a problem for a while. I’m seriously hoping that changes some with Eileen’s return, Rowena coming in with some banter maybe next week, and whatever weird curse Sam got with that bullet wound. I’m loving the potential and I’m loving the prospect of having Sam brought back to the center of the plot. I missed some more emotional involvement from him this episode, too, but that should be addressed once things calm down and Sam and Dean can debrief. However, we got peak Sam in a crisis and it’s always a treat to see him do his job. Bless. Him telling the clown to shut up made my night. I love him so much.

On Belphegor: First off, Alex did such a fantastic job. I giggled a ridiculous amount. Instantly invested in the character as bringer of shenanigans. Was not disappointed. Quick deliciously meta tidbits about Belphegor, some of which may not feature in the show, but are still *chef’s kiss* (x):

Moabite deity responsible for fertility and sexual power (in case the ep wasn’t clear on that lmao)

was worshiped in the form of a phallus (so glad that made it to canon jfc)

is a fallen angel??? hello???

he’s the demonic embodiment of sloth, BUT specifically negligence and apathy (i am screaming isnt negligence the whole ordeal with dean and cas atm...and apathy was the problem with jack’s soulessness) 

rules misogyny and licentious men (yeah ok no wonder he was a fan of younger dean oof)

the juiciest: emerged from hell to investigate marriage among humans (and is conveniently in the peanut gallery of dean and cas’s fight. funny how that happens. hilarious, even.) 

apparently after living as a man to experience sexual pleasure he was appalled and fled back to hell where sex between men and women wasn’t a thing i’m??? what?? (yet in the show he seemed ok with hot dudes ayy)

I’m glad my “horny on main” observation turned out to be so on point jesus. Can’t help but wonder how long he’s gonna stick around. His outside perspective is amusing, at the very least. However, the fact that he barely interacted with Sam, but was a lot interested in Dean as well as Cas (though to a lesser extent) makes me think that he’s doing more than just deus exing them out of zombies and ghosts or offering hell exposition. Seems like he going to expose SOME OTHER STUFF. ABOUT DEAN (AND CAS?). He is the “Lord of Opening” after all. And isn’t using their words and being honest the thing we’re all waiting for wrt to DeanCas?? There’s some opening up that is necessary posthaste. Listen, I know I’ve been saying they need a marriage counselor, but this is not what I had in mind. Pretty on brand, though, I guess lol

I’m also really interested about the coding work the character is doing in continuing to queer Dean’s characterization. Belphegor being himself associated with (male) sexuality, and the show clearly focusing on his attraction to humans of the man variety. I wouldn’t even call it subtextual at this point as Belphegor’s interaction with Dean in the car to was really overt. My hopes that the show might actually be explicit about Dean’s bisexuality is uhhhh getting high again *confetti.* Should also maybe at least note that using a demon to do this is probs not like the best strategy, but at least said demon was 1. not skeevy and 2. mostly sympathetic to the audience. 

This is all assuming, ofc, that Belphegor is not catfishing tfw (there’s precedence, after all -- and kudos to anon and op for the timely observations).

On Dean & Cas: I think it’s really damn telling that so much space was given to their relationship as like the most important thing going on with their characters? Obviously they have individual issues to deal with (their own struggles with Chuck, revisiting Dean’s stint in hell....which btw also eventually involves Cas too so *hands*), but my sweet baby jesus the validation feels good. Onwards. 

We actually have a weird amount to unpack here because, as others have said, the tension between them is coming from more than just Mary and Jack -- though Mary and Jack are absolutely the main stressors atm as well as emblematic of problems they’ve had for a long long time.  

I’m gonna start with Dean because boy do I love that dumbass; I want to shake him. So we have Dean: he’s grieving Mary, he’s angry, he’s scared, he’s lashing out. It’s a Thursday. We know he’s angry with Cas because he blames him for Mary’s death, even if indirectly. You know what that reminds me of? Dean hating Jack for causing Cas’s death, even though it wasn’t directly Jack’s fault. More importantly, though, both the loss of Mary and the loss of Cas were caused by the same catalyst: Cas going off on his own to solve a problem instead of asking Dean (and Sam, but really, mostly Dean) for help. Like, it’s the one thing Dean has very clearly expressed that Cas needs to stop doing (hi 12x19). It’s the same mistake Cas has been making for years. There was a false sense of security there during seasons 13 and most of 14, but alas. Again, here we have Dean losing someone because Cas couldn’t just come ask him for help. Like. It makes sense, and it’s understandable, despite Dean’s coping mechanisms being shit. In short, Dean’s actual problem with Cas is less that Mary is dead and more that Cas refuses to learn his lesson wrt them being stronger as a unit rather than doing their own thing and putting themselves and others in unnecessary danger. 

Meanwhile, we have a continuation of Cas just being really sad and heartbroken because not only is Jack dead, but he’s once again unsure about his standing with Dean. He wants to protect his family, he wants to protect Dean, he wants to come back with a win; once more, he goes off on his own to do it and it blows up in his face somehow. As much as I loved Cas getting mad at the end of last season, I get why he’s somewhat subdued again. He has his guilt and grief and doubt to deal with. He doesn’t want to be mad at Dean probably about as much as he doesn’t want Dean to be mad at him. So far I’m not yet seeing the return of the spark we got when Cas was defending Jack last season, but I’m sure Dean walking out rattled him beyond the hurt. I wanna see what else happens to make him leave “in a huff” (a bit of spec on this further down). That said, what I’m most excited about is seeing how Cas gets reintegrated into the family -- pretty sure that’s universal lol.

The juiciest part now, though: I was all about the interplay of distance and care that we saw between them; let’s pause here for a quick sec to appreciate how that same interplay has been such a central part of Dean and Cas’s relationship since always like ugh. So much of the larger plot points in the show have also been situations that kept them from being truly partners as well as being constant interruptions on their ability to USE THEIR FRIGGIN’ WORDS AAAACK. We give Sam a lot of flack, but everything has awful timing in this show. We’ve had moments of honesty and vulnerability, but they’re always always cut short before we actually get somewhere; before they arrive at a place where they can talk about their issues. If the “are you ok” scene isn’t a perfect microcosm of that idk what is  /sigh

So, yeah, the “Are you ok” scene oooh boy. I wasn’t as excited as some of you at this scene being an example that Dean still cared, as that was never a doubt I had in my mind (it was definitely a yes omg just talk jesus moments nevertheless). Dean couldn’t possibly just turn that shit off, no matter how much he thinks he’s done with Cas. Like, please.  What we do have is Dean indulging on his own need to know that Cas is, at least, immediately fine. Triage, if you will. Him walking off before Cas can either elaborate, or, most likely, tell him about Sam, is peak Dean passive-aggressiveness. The meltdown I had in the tags of a gifset of the scene is still relevant:

I’ll definitely have more thoughts on this once we have whatever emotional payload next week.

All in all, I’m not actually concerned about the future of their relationship. They’ve been through much, they’ll be fine. I am, though, tickled that we’ll see these key problems in their relationship reach a point where they have to be dealt with. Also: I can’t wait for the catharsis that Cas leaving is bound to elicit. Both for us, the viewers, and the characters. Besides, Dean needs to go to a corner and have a think about his behavior and if pushing Cas away is really what he wants. And then maybe finally we can get that sweet sweet resolution of an affirmation about Cas’s place in Dean’s life. And in turn an affirmation that Cas does trust their family unit enough to depend on them. 

I think we got a good set up in this episode leading into whatever drama we get in the coming weeks. The tension was up to 11. Love it. Hate it. Personally, I think the empty deal might be what does sets off Cas walking out. Somehow, the deal is not a secret anymore. We have here another instance of Cas making a super important decision that affects The Family on his own and then keeping it a secret (to protect Sam and Dean, a pattern). Dean can be angry and think Cas is dead to him all he wants, he will blow tf up when he learns about this deal. Sam isn’t gonna be thrilled either, though he’s more likely to make puppy eyes of sadness and Disappointment than yell at Cas. Seriously, though, I can just see Dean saying some bullshit because he’s just so done and here goes Cas potentially dying again, which in turn will probably piss Cas off. Etc etc. Cue the violins.

yup so this is going to be me talking about all the jonsa moments.

because i can. 

so yeah

so i’m going to start with their reunion. i’m going to try to keep this in chronological order but if i mix things up, sorry! im really excited to talk about a few of all of these moments!! anyways... yes. the reunion scene. 

i love this first shot so much. 

we get both of their faces as they see each other for the first time. jon is so surprised he lets go of the railing and takes a step back. look at his expression, its like he’s seen a ghost. he can’t believe that sansa is actually standing there in his own courtyard. hundreds of thoughts must be running through his mind at that point but im sure they all go back to just her name, over and over again. 

sansa is still taking in her surroundings but as her eyes fall on jon, you can see her face change (below gif) and you can see how relieved she is. im sure she didn’t dare believe to find him here, even though he was (at least, to her knowledge still) the lord commander. why wouldn’t he have been there? 

what i love about this first shot of sansa is you can see her catch her breath. her shoulders come up as she inhales and you can hear her exhale a moment later. her eyes are on him as he sees her standing there. she’s so relieved to see him there. at this point, she isnt sure she has anyone else left to her. arya is probably dead and yeah, theon said bran and rickon were alive, but who knows now?  she’s been used and abused for SO FUCKING LONG at this point and all she wants is someone who’s going to take care of her and remind her that there’s still some good left in the world. at this point, i dont even think she’s thought about what comes next. there’s no thought of fighting ramsay or taking back winterfell. all she’s thinking about is the fact that he’s standing right there in front of her now. he’s the same jon she remembered from childhood.

and i wonder too how nervous is she, or not at all? she makes him accept her apology later on and i wonder if she’s afraid he doesnt even want to see her. or maybe such a thought doesnt cross her mind because this is jon and she already knows thats the last thing he’s going to be thinking about. 

this is jon after he’s seen her for the first time. she’s slipped off her horse and it cuts to the first gif of her staring back at him. i cant even begin to imagine what jon must be thinking right in this moment. he’s seeing her for the first time in how long? how many years has it been since they last saw each other? and wow, this isnt the sister he knew from childhood.

she’s pale and shivering, she looks so frightened. her clothes are messy and the sansa he knew never had a hair out of place, let alone dirty, messed up clothes. but he cant get past the fear in her eyes or the dirt (bruises?) on her face. she’s not the same girl he once knew. and at once he’s guilt ridden. what’s happened to her? im sure he’s asking himself this over and over again as he comes closer, im sure he’s afraid to allow himself to wonder. he might even be afraid to think its really her. how could it be? and why is she even here? 

and my god, he’s only just come back to life. he’s just been betrayed by those he called brother, comrade. he’s ready to run away from all of this. he says he’s going to go south and get warm because what was left for him here?  everyone he’s ever loved is dead or tried to kill him. 

or so he thought. 

and watching him walk towards her is just incredible.

he’s got such a look of disbelief on his face. i cant even handle it.  and you can hear sansa’s breathing as he stands in front of her, little inhales of breath as she tries not to cry. it’s literally too much for me. 

what i love about that is how sansa just opens her arms and runs for him. and jon takes maybe, two or three steps forward to meet her. he takes hold of her so fast it takes my breath away every single time i see it.  sansa lets out this little breath, almost like a muffled sob, its so quiet but its heartbreaking. she’s throwing herself at him then, already knowing he’s opening his arms to her. 

AND LOOK AT BRIENNE IN THE BACKGROUND. she literally looks away. you can see it even clearer in the gif below, but she looks down like she knows this is a private moment and she shouldnt be watching. 

what i love about this is look at sansa’s face. she’s almost distraught, but you can see the relief washing over her as jon takes her into his arms. his embrace literally sweeps her off her feet. her breathing catches there at the end and you can see her tighten her grip on him, as if he’s anchoring her to the world. his arms are around her waist, he’s LITERALLY picked her up off the ground and is holding her close. he can feel how cold she is and can feel her shaking. i know its not portrayed this way in the show, but i always imagine her having thinned out quite a bit with ramsay and i imagine him thinking why is she so small? why can i lift her this way? why is she so cold? 

at this point, jon knows nothing. he doesnt know what happened to her with ramsay. he doesnt know about king’s landing. he cant even begin to IMAGINE what she’s gone through. all he knows is he’s so happy she’s there. he’s so happy to be holding her in his arms. 

were they ever close as children?

no.

but this scene alone solidifies their close knit relationship as adults. 

i mean just look at him. 

he’s closed his eyes as she sinks into him. he exhales softly at the end too. jon has gone through a lot too and you know he misses his family dearly, even sansa. they had a rocky past but thats just it... it’s the past. he must be thinking about her right here and vowing to himself he’s going to protect her from whatever will come. he’s not been there to protect her from whatever she’s already been through, but he’s here now and he already knows he’s never gonna let anyone hurt her again. 

in the opening scene, he had nothing left to live for. his brother’s killed him, his family is gone, what else is there? but then... she shows up just hours after his rebirth and in the span of less than a minute, he’s got something new to live for. something new to protect. 

yeah, so thats how everyone’s brother looks at them, right?

also, she’s wearing his furs. i didnt even know how much i needed that until i saw this scene for like the tenth time. 

i love how as soon as she realized he was looking at her she turned and he gave her the smallest smile ever. like literally, it was barely a twitch of his lips. but it was for her. and it got her smiling as well, got her talking. good soup, she says before asking him about something from their childhood. its very light hearted conversation at this point and it makes you wonder all that they’ve talked about so far. 

clearly some time has passed because sansa is clean and changed (and jon i know, she looks beautiful, id be staring too). but what have they talked about so far? has she told him about kings landing... about ramsay? has she opened up about their father’s execution and cried when she told him she still blames herself? does she talk about what ramsay did to her? to theon? we know jon has told her what happened to him already because he mentions it in a moment, but how much as she told him yet? a lot of what happened with ramsay is “private” or things that’s not at all easy to talk about, but i feel like with jon she would find herself talking and talking until all of a sudden she realizes she hasn’t stopped for hours. finally, someone is listening to her. 

do you forgive me?

this little exchange is broken up with smiles and little laughs, but i can tell you that sansa needed it. and honestly, he probably did too. sansa spent all her time in captivity (because yes, thats what it was, both times) thinking about what she’d lost in her family. she’d been awful to jon back then and now he was all she had left. im sure there were many times where she told herself these bad things were happening to her because of how terrible she was to jon. and to arya too. 

once they were all gone from her and she was alone in king’s landing, im sure she cried thinking of how she and arya spent their last bits of time together. arguing and fighting over what, a stupid boy prince that ended up abusing the hell out of her? yeah, not her best moments. but, she was a kid, none of us know shit as kids. thats one of the reasons i hate when people cite season 1-2 stuff as reasons they dislike sansa. she was a child, she was scared, and she was only doing what she was told or taught to do. and then she learned that the only way she was going to survive was by giving in. how can you blame her for that?

anyways, thats a whole other post for another day haha 

i love this because it shows how easy it is for jon to laugh with sansa. his smile is so pure, so easy going here. its REAL. when was the last time either of them smiled, let alone laughed? but here, together, even just for a moment they can laugh at each other over how much of an asshole sansa was to him or how the night’s watch still make shitty ale. 

and then we get one of my favorite sets of dialogue ever. 

where will you go? sansa looks scared when she asks this, as if all along she’s been preparing herself for jon to leave her. that maybe he’ll take her somewhere and then he’s gonna go off on his own. part of her doesnt blame him, she wants to run away too. 

where will we go? jon says looking almost surprised by her question. if i dont watch over you, father’s ghost will come back and murder me. sansa almost smiles then, as if she’s realizing it then, jon wasnt ever going to abandon her. she never had to worry that he would leave her side. 

where will we go, she says back, still with that half sort of smile. by now, the wheels are turning in her mind. jon says they cant stay there and thats when sansa says it. there’s only one place we can go, home. it’s jon’s turn to look at her with disbelief, like he’s surprised to hear her say such a thing. this is where we begin to see how their relationship is going to work. jon is going to be the doubter, the one who says “well....” but sansa is the fighter, the pusher. she’s the one who says they’ll take back winterfell. when jon says he cant make the wildlings fight, sansa doesnt care. she tells him if he wont help her, she’ll do it on her own. i want you to help me, but if you won’t... ill do it myself. 

and jon knows she’s telling the truth. she’s always been an awful liar. jon knows she’s telling the absolute truth when she says that. he knows she’ll find a way, one way or the other, to take back winterfell. but he cant (and wont) let her do that alone. of course he’s going to help her. she does that to him. he just said he was tired of fighting, that he’d lost... but as he’s staring into her eyes, he knows there’s no turning back. there’s no way he’d ever let her walk away from him to fight a battle or negotiate with anyone. he’s gonna stand by her side forever. 

id also like to mention how i didnt even think about them as a ship the first time i watched this scene. i wont lie, i probably rewatched it twice right then and i made a lot of hmmmMMMMmmsss

anyways LETS MOVE ON. 

the next scene i want to talk about is when ramsay sends jon the letter. 

there’s a lot to unpack here, honestly.

(id also like to point out that brienne makes the best faces ever, her face as the men are all eating kills me every single time i see this scene.)

so jon gets a letter & of course we all know who its from. 

To the traitor and bastard Jon Snow,

You allowed thousands of wildlings past the Wall. You have betrayed your own kind and you have betrayed the North. Winterfell is mine, bastard, come and see.

Your brother Rickon is in my dungeon. His direwolf's skin is on my floor, come and see.

after the bit about rickon, jon stops reading and he looks at sansa. she’s horrified and you can see it on his face that he’s worried too. he couldnt even finish the word dungeon. 

i feel for sansa in this moment though because she alone knows what ramsay is capable of. she knows what he did to theon and what he did to her. she knows firsthand what kind of violence he’s capable of and to think her baby brother is in his hands? no. it’s unthinkable. at this moment, im sure she’s thinking to herself its over, rickon is dead. but she cant and wont give up that easily.

jon continues to read the letter out loud & it pans to sansa’s face. it’s like regret washing over her. she’s the cause of this mess, of all this violence that will happen if jon doesnt give in. but this is what she asked for, isnt it? to fight for their home and their family? sansa isnt a soldier, she doesnt know what war is like. sure, she’s suffered, but not on a battlefield. she doesnt know or understand what happens in war out there on the front lines. this is her first glimpse. and again, she KNOWS ramsay, so she knows he isnt lying about what he’ll do to the wildlings. jon’s reading is strong but he fumbles and stops entirely when ramsay mentions sansa. she tells him to keep going but when he doesnt, she snatches the letter and reads it out loud herself

she’s close to tears, you can hear it in her voice. she’s probably thinking about everything ramsay did to her previously and how it would be so much worse if he ever got his hands on her again. 

jon’s first words are lord of winterfell and warden of the north. sansa tells him that his father is dead & that ramsay was the one to kill him. it cuts back to her and thats when you can see her eyes are wet, she’s trying to hold it together here. she says that he has rickon and jon says they dont know that. but she knows he does. yes we do. thats when jon knows it too. he turns to tormund & they talk about the army numbers. jon looks back at sansa and you can see he’s torn. he wants to do this for her, he wants to do it for himself and for rickon. but he is a soldier and he knows there’s not enough men to fight ramsay’s army. not nearly enough.

he’s on the edge then, he knows it’ll never be enough. and what happens when he loses? what happens to sansa? he cant risk leaving her alone, without any form of protection. he doesnt want to disappoint her but he knows it can’t be done. all her pretty words about being the son of ned stark and northern loyalty cant change his mind. 

except... well sansa. 

a monster has taken our home and our brother. we have to go back to winterfell and save them both.

she’s right and he knows it. jon snow is too good a man to walk away from his family when they need him most. and even know he knows the odds are against them... even if the northern houses pledge to him and their cause, the odds are against them. but he looks into her eyes and he cant look away. she’s silently pleading with him to help her take back whats rightfully theirs. she’s asking him to help her save their little brother, maybe the only other family they have left. 

and man he was so close. he had one foot out the door and now she’s trapped him with those beautiful blue eyes. he cant look away and its like, looking into her eyes makes him see the truth. they can win and they will. he’s not going to let anyone take her away from him. and he’s not going to let her abuser sit in their family home. he’s not going to let him kill rickon. he’s not going to let him have winterfell. 

he’s going to take it back. 

so he nods. thats all it takes, just a nod.

OKAY MOVING ON TO WHAT HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST JONSA MOMENTS only because its so light hearted and so fucking obvious. like jon here kills me

what i love is jon is the one to ask about the new dress. like seriously, its the FIRST thing he says. there’s no “hello” no “good morning” no “are you ready to leave?” nope. its just OH HEY NEW DRESS I SEE. 

i mean, its what every brother asks a sister, right? its the first thing they notice, those highly attentative brothers! mine always noticed when i got new clothes. its normal, right? 

anyways she tells him she’s made it herself and asks if he likes it.. mind you, jon hasnt taken his eyes off of her ONCE at this point. and he never does.  id also like to point out that sansa literally POSES for him, like “no really tell me if you like it. are you looking? LOOK AT MY NEW DRESS JON.” and he stammers over his answer (which is adorable) his eyes arent on her face anymore but right at her chest (yes we see you jon) and her “wolf bits” which im sure he’s internally screaming at himself for saying.

she gives him the cloak then and its cute because you can tell she worked really hard to make it for him. its a copy of the one “their father” used to wear and i love that. she knows jon struggles with his identity and this is her way of reminding him who he is. and you can tell he’s touched by it. for the first time in this scene his mind changes from “wow my ~sister~ is hot” to “wow my wonderful sister that happens to be quite attractive just made me this thing like our father used to wear- right, our father. right.” 

but on a serious note about this moment

really, i love it because it IS sansa reminding jon who he is and where he comes from. sansa is always the one reminding him he’s a stark despite what he thinks or what people say. its always her reaffirming it for him. this was the first time we get a glimpse of it and its really touching. 

and when sansa walks away from him, jon smiles to himself and honestly its cute as fuck.

like look at this man. this is the face of a man who knows he’s falling in love. we all know this feeling he has right here- that giddy moment where the person you love has given you something or done something cute or just you know... exists. this is a man who is without a doubt in love. and he knows it. he knows what’s happening here, he knows what these feelings are. 

now lets move on to some bad ass stuff. 

you dont have to be here. yes i do. 

this is a defining moment for me- and not just because of the jonsa stuff. for me, this is proof of sansa’s strength. everything that happened to her with ramsay is still fresh- im sure she still has injuries that havent fully healed, but here she is ready to face him. she’s going to look her abuser in the eye and make sure he knows he isnt going to win this fight. 

and she knows what to expect. she knows he’ll say some nasty things, he’ll try to screw with her (and jon’s head) but she isnt going to let him get under her skin. he cant hurt her anymore, not only because jon wont let him but because SHE wont let him. she’s taken control back in her life and she’s going to rise above what he’s done to her. 

but i also love the way jon glances over to her- he’s worried about her being there. he doesnt want this to send her backwards in her healing process or just totally break down. i think this is the moment jon also realizes just how strong sansa has become. i dont think she’s ever told him EVERYTHING ramsay ever did to her, but im sure he can imagine it and he knows it must be awful. im sure he’s seen her bruises in the beginning, has caught sight of her cuts and burns and whatever else he did to her before she escaped. jon wants only to protect her but seeing her now, with her determined face he knows she needs this. she needs to face him one last time. and how proud he must be of her!!! 

this shot is amazing here, they look like such an amazing power couple. i fucking love it. it screams King and Queen in the North, doesnt it? 

ah yes okay

the tent scene

the sexual tension in this scene is fucking FIRE and any other couple would have 100% had sex after it. no doubt. they’re both panting, literally out of breath just from arguing (and ~staring~ at each other). they both got so heated in this moment, as they seem to do when they disagree. 

and yeah, this stuff is great, but its what comes after that i cant handle. 

sansa says before leaving that she wont go back to ramsay alive. do you understand me? she’s literally telling him that if he loses, that if ramsay wins, she will kill herself. jon’s kind of struck by her words and he again tells her that he wont ever let ramsay touch her again. and then sansa says some real sad shit that just.. hurts. you cant protect me. no one can protect anyone.

those are the words of a girl who’s been let down all her life. she knows deep down that rickon is gone at this point. she’s forced herself to believe it now so it hurts less when it comes true. those words are spoken from her heart. over and over again, sansa tells jon that he cant protect her and its a defense mechanism for herself. she cant be let down again, she wont be let down again. so she constantly thinks the worse so when it happens to her, she’s not surprised, she’s not hurt. this is a girl who has been used, abused, and thrown away like trash over and over again. this is a girl who truly believes there’s no safety in the world. even from jon. at this point, she hasn’t come to realize what jon will do for her (even though hello, honey he’s going to war for you) and she doesnt realize the depths of his feelings. 

and neither do we as the audience. not yet, at least. the next scene jon goes to see melisandre and he literally tells her that if he falls on the battlefield, he doesnt want her to bring him back. its because of sansa. he knows that a) he’s failed her and b) she wont remain alive long. he cant stand the thought of living in a world without her, nor can he stand the guilt of living if she were to take her own life. 

i remember on my first watch through of season 6, i wasn’t shipping them quite yet. i had a lot of thoughts and feelings about their relationship, but man this was the moment where i went “yup, he’s in love.” there’s nothing more dramatic than the “i cant live without you” trope and i live for it. jon cant live without sansa and he cant live with himself if the battle is lost. he’d never forgive himself for losing sansa to ramsay or to herself. he’d rather be dead than fight the fucking night king or anything else. nothing else matters if she’s not there at his side. 

this next moment isnt so much of a jonsa moment but i enjoyed it all the same. jon was so worried, he knew they couldnt & wouldnt last much longer. but then came sansa and the knights of the vale. he’s so SHOCKED and i think this is when he realized what she meant when she kept insisting he listen to her. that she wouldnt go back to ramsay alive.

it wasn’t because she didn’t trust jon but it was self preservation. she wasn’t going back to ramsay without a fight and she isnt stupid. she knows they dont have the men for this fight- jon told her that himself- and jon wouldnt listen to her. so fuck it, she did it herself. 

we stan a badass queen. 

next up on the list is the infamous scene of jon beating the living shit out of ramsay bolton. 

all of jon’s rage comes out full force here.

he takes on an onslaught of arrows, blocking all of them with a spare shield he picked up. he gets closer and closer to ramsay with fire in his eyes. every ounce of hatred that he has for this monster comes out the moment he knocks him onto the ground. 

jon punches him and punches him and punches him some more.

this scene is so incredibly satisfying because as an audience, we fucking hate ramsay (or love to hate him? he’s an incredibly awful character, isnt he?). he deserves everything he’s going to get from jon. watching him get beat to a bloody pulp was one of the best scenes of the whole show, imo. 

i thought jon really was going to kill ramsay, too. his punches just never stopped. he had so much anger inside of him- for all he’d done to sansa, for taking winterfell, for killing rickon. i think jon WOULD have killed him too, had sansa not shown up.

she’s the only thing that could have stopped jon from beating ramsay to death. he almost didn’t look up either, but he did and then he stopped- he actually stopped midswing all because he couldn’t look away from her. and in that moment he knew it was not his kill to make. it was sansa’s. this was HER abuser, HER tormenter, she deserved to take his life if that’s what she wanted. if she told him to go ahead, he would have. but he knew she needed to face him on her own. and that i love. despite how caught up he was in the moment, he stopped full force as soon as he saw her. 

now, moving on to the forehead kiss. 

there’s a lot to unpack with this moment for me so i want to start with their conversation leading up to this moment. sansa joins him on the battlements and he tells her he’s had the lord’s chambers prepared for her, which is really touching. she tries to tell him they should be his but jon says no, they were only standing there because of her so they should be hers. that she was the lady of winterfell. 

and then he says it im not a stark. you are to me. 

that does a lot for me, honestly. all jon has ever wanted was to be a stark, to be anything but the bastard of winterfell. and all his life he’s been told how much he looks like ned & the stark’s, but he’s never told he is one. sansa is the one to tell him he is a stark, even if it’s just to her. and thats honestly all he needs right then. its the reaffirmation that she thinks he’s her family and part of them. 

jon then comes closer to her and there’s a lot of ~longing stares~ happening, especially on his part. he mentions that they have a lot of enemies and they have to trust each other. sansa looks SO sorry in this scene, like she knows she should have told him the truth about LF and the KotV. but jon understands, he doesnt blame her. 

first of all im a HUGE fan of this in general (anyone who reads my fanfics knows this, haha) jon reaches out and puts his hand against her face, with his fingers wrapped around to the back of her head. they’re staring back at one another, though jon’s gaze definitely is on her lips here

he draws her in to kiss her forehead and its really sweet, a really honestly touching moment. but wow. his kiss lasts a LONG time. jon closes his eyes as he presses his lips to her skin and the moment feels very intimate. 

when jon does pull back from her, there’s still some more stares. thats something i love about all of jon & sansa’s scenes together... they convey so much emotion with such little words. you can see how jon feels just by the way he looks at sansa. i know its kind of a running joke about how different it is when he looks at daenerys than her, but thats because its TRUE. all of these scenes are supercharged with emotions and it all starts with the way jon looks. his features get soft, especially his mouth and his eyes, when he’s looking at sansa. gone are his harsh lines, his brooding stare, replaced with a soft, tender gaze that i just fucking live for. 

i also want to talk about the meaning of forehead kisses. 

“A kiss on the forehead is a gentle expression of admiration. Usually it is a kiss of friendship or a starter kiss for something for romantic later.” 

“ Depending on how it is planted, it can also be used as a means of showing deep affection to a loved one. Most people use use it as a starter kiss when they meet someone new, to express that they like them.”

“ Brushing your lips gently against someone's forehead is a sign of trust and comfort. The forehead kiss is a nice way to show affection, whether in you're in a new relationship or celebrating your tenth anniversary.” 

while they can reflect friendship or a close bond or even protectiveness, typically speaking a forehead kiss is quite intimate. there’s a reason its one of the most common engagement photo poses. 

lets really just take a moment to enjoy our King and Queen. note that sansa is  to his left, much how a queen would sit to the king (or vice versa). 

& that wraps up season 6 moments. i think? i hope. 

now lets talk about season 7. 

the first moment is when sansa & jon are walking together, they arent quite arguing but rather having a bit of a heated discussion. jon is a little miffed about her calling him out in front of the lords (lol) and sansa reminds him that joffrey never let anyone question his authority either.

this really offends jon & thats a testament to his character. you think im like joffrey? he asks her, quite shocked. sansa’s features soften a moment after she looks away, knowing she said something she didn’t mean. you’re as far from joffrey as anyone ive ever met. of course he is. no one is like joffrey. 

they continue walking & talking and then the arm grab happens. 

i honestly love this gif, lol

anyways. 

what i absolutely LOVE about this moment is jon looks down at her hand, clearly showing she doesnt let go of him. she grabs his arm to make him turn around and face her, to listen to her. jon has a bad habit of not listening to her and she’s fucking tired of it. she lost a lot of people she loved because of stupid mistakes they made, she cant lose jon too. she’s just trying to get him to understand that. 

there they go again with those longing stares, eh?

the next scene is when jon says he’s going to go to dragonstone.

i want to point out sansa’s face as she listens to jon speak

she’s genuinely worrying about him in these 2 panels. 

her face changes as she listens to him talk- she’s thinking about what happened to their grandfather when he went south, she even says it to him. she’s thinking about how he cant go, he cant leave her there alone. its not about jon leaving the north, its about jon leaving her. 

she says to him youre abandoning your people, you’re abandoning the north- and you can hear those unspoken words, the ones she cant say in front of everyone there. you’re abandoning me. 

in jon she finds safety. as much as she’ll try to say no one can protect her, she knows jon does. being with jon has helped her to heal. he’s protected her from ramsay and reclaimed winterfell. he’s her armor, her shield. and he’s all she has left. how can he just leave her? how can he walk away into a dangerous situation and potentially never come back? 

of course she plays it off as saying he’s abandoning the north, but read between the lines and you know what really has her upset. 

then, jon gives her winterfell to rule over while he’s away.

i think he knows the truth of her heart (and i 1000% believe there’s an offscreen conversation about it) & knows she’s more upset about him leaving her than she is him leaving the north. he knows that he’s all she has left and same for him, she’s all he’s got. but thats why he’s doing this. he’s doing this to protect her and the home they’ve only just got back. 

if he doesnt defeat the night king, there wont be any winterfell or life. he would do anything in his power to protect what he has now, even sailing into a potential life threatening trap. if its for sansa, it’s worth it.

next is one of my favorite jon moments. 

jon and littlefinger are down in the crypts 

they talk about ned and jon tells him he doesnt belong down there.

when jon walks away, littlefinger continues to talk, causing jon to pause. you can literally watch his face turn from annoyance to pure hatred. look at him here. he turns his head slightly, scowling, his eyes narrowing just slightly. just hearing him say sansa’s name sets him off, its what makes his lip curl with that scowl. but as soon as he says he loved her like he loved her mother, jon whirls around and lunges for him.

look at all that emotion in his face. 

there’s so much anger and disgust. talk to my sister and i’ll kill you myself. 

he cant stand the thought of lf making a move on her while he’s away. he cant stand the idea of this man looking at her wrong or saying one damn word to her. jon doesnt trust lf & he knows that sansa doesnt either... but that doesnt stop him from worrying. he’s not going to be around to protect her for a while so he has to make sure she’s safe somehow.

hence the ghost scene that got cut and im NEVER NOT GOING TO BE UPSET ABOUT THAT. 

anyways

next we get this little moment when jon’s leaving: 

he raises his hand a moment before this and it cuts to sansa watching him go, looking forlorn. jon looks sad too. you know they’re going to miss each other a lot while he’s away. 

but what’s so telling is how jon looks back. he turns to go, but looks back at her and offers her a quick smile. as if to tell her everything was going to be okay. remember who he doesnt look back at when he’s rushing off to what could possibly kill him? yeah, you do. 

last but not least... jon seeing theon again. 

what you did for her is the only reason im not killing you.

here’s another moment of jon resorting to physical threats because of sansa. much like little finger, the moment theon mentions sansa’s name, jon lunges at him. he yanks him close and you can see the anger on his face, you can see it in his eyes. he’s not lying either. theon caused a lot of problems for the stark family and his only redeeming quality is what he did for sansa. im sure sansa told jon about escaping winterfell and how it was thanks to theon. that’s enough to keep him alive in jon’s eyes.

im including this shot because right here you can tell Davos knows whats up. he knows this isnt a typical reaction of a protective brother. he knows jon pretty well at this point and i think he’s sort of known all along how he felt about sansa. this is the moment he’s positive, like zero doubts. i also think thats why he somewhat pushes the thing with dany later (i see you staring at her good heart” or whatever) because he knows jon can’t be in love with his half sister. he just cant be. there’s a perfectly good woman right in front of him (lol) and davos thinks pushing him towards her will make jon forget sansa. fat chance, my friend. 

i love seeing jon react to men mentioning sansa. he gives tyrion quite the glare earlier on, when he mentions their marriage. its clear how jon feels about her at this point. he loves her. there’s no going back, there’s no changing it. jon loves sansa and there’s nothing he can do but keep going. from here on out, everything he does is going to be for her.

the writers really did buck dirty in s01e02

its the post you’ve all been waiting for—my Aggravated Analysis Of Everything That Makes Me Mad about the Therapy Scene tm, now featuring some things that show just how emotionally and mentally fucked buck is. now, i know we All hate that scene with all of our hearts (buck deserves to have a Good experience w therapy for once, but thats just my opinion), but i wanna go into detail about what exactly makes me SEETHE about that scene, complete w gifs and screenshots so i can better explain myself. im putting it all under the cut bc its kind of A Lot, so click that “read more” if you wanna read my angry complaining

alright, lets set the scene (i know we’re all aware of the situation behind this scene, but i think its important to remind you all of it). season one episode two. bucks still very much a Huge horn dog. buck has also very recently suffered his First loss on the job and its taking a huge toll on him. i think what’s most important to talk about before we get to the therapy scene itself is the scene where abby’s watching him on the news with carla.

(not the greatest quality, but that doesnt matter). he very clearly looks uncomfortable just talking about what happened in such a Casual, No Pressure setting. he says, “i was just doing my job. i’m happy we were able to help the people we helped and i’m really sorry about those we couldn’t save.” he stutters a few times as he says it, looks and sounds very uneasy, which seems very out of character for him. he’s usually super confident and chill, but as he’s asked to talk about this (most likely) traumatic thing, he kinda clams up, yknow? theres also something in his voice that reminds me very heavily of the way My voice sounds when Im trying to force back tears, but that might just be The Way He Talks

another thing that he says that really stands out to me (i dont know if this is necessarily important to the topic at hand, but i wanna talk about it so whatever) is, “. . . um, i’m sure they’re just turned on by the uniform. you know, i don’t know if they would feel that way if they saw me out of it.” ignoring the more sexual connotations to what he’s saying there, let’s talk about what he most likely meant by that particular statement. he still sounds a little nervous as he says it and kind of avoids the reporters eyes. it sounds to me like this is a rare moment of buck’s insecurities being let loose. “i don’t know if they would feel that way if they saw me out of it.” this implies, i think, some insecurities about like.. every part of himself. it almost seems like, in this moment, he thinks his only redeeming quality is the uniform. which might actually be what he’s thinking right then, ‘cause he’s still trying to figure out how to cope with his first loss. i think theres some part of him, somewhere behind that overly confident persona, that has a lot more insecurities than he shows, but thats a conversation for another day.

now, let’s move on a little from that. what i think is very important and notable about that scene is some of the things abby says after watching buck on the news. first thing she says that stands out to me is, “i’ve been thinking i might want to call him to see how he is.” she’s worried about him. i think she’s probably been worried about him since the first time he was on the news, earlier that episode. and for good reasons, i think, because later on, she says, “. . . he needs help, you know? i mean, he’s got so much pain in his face. everybody’s treating him like a hero. he doesn’t feel like a hero. as far as he’s concerned, the guy that he was trying to save fell.” like, wow, just tear my heart out and stomp on it a bunch, why dont you? its such a wonderful and apt summary of what buck’s going through. to put it rather simply, he’s fucking distraught, and for good reasons. plus, that quote is one of the Big things that influenced my headcanon of buck having depression, and i could probably analyze every single scene bucks in in this episode that have added onto that head canon of mind bc there are at least a couple different things i could blather on about, but that’s some analysis for another post (if you’re interested in me talking about that tho, definitely feel free to let me know)

now, let’s move on a little further to the Dreaded Scene (i’d totally go into the scene that immediately follows the last one i talked about, where buck and abby are speaking on the phone, but i think i’ve emphasized my point of buck going through some shit in this episode to the point where that isn’t strictly necessary). for the rest of this post, i’m gonna kind of analyze every single little thing that buck does and says in the therapy scene bc pretty much all of it contributes to my burning hatred of that therapist.

like, yeah, no SHIT, honey!! as far as we, the audience, are concerned, this is the First time he’s EVER been to therapy. in my own personal experiences, my first time going to therapy was SO uncomfortable. and just looking at buck right here makes me feel uncomfortable, too—he’s fidgeting with his hands, looks to the side, looks down, looks up at her for a moment before looking away again. this boy looks nervous as hell, and for good reasons. he confirms that he is in fact uncomfortable, and then the therapist says, “well, that’s not unusual. you’ve been through a trauma. that’s why you’re here—to deal with those feelings.” remember that, because i’m not gonna go into the importance of that quote just yet.

the next thing buck says is, “uh, yeah, i’m, uh, i’m not really into feelings.” he kind of avoids looking at the therapist as he says this, though not as much as he did in that last gif. but his voice is like... uncharacteristically quiet as he says it.

more!! avoidance!! he keeps averting his eyes, looking anywhere that ISNT his therapist. and at the end of what he says here, he clenches his jaw a little. a nervous tick, maybe? i don’t know. as he talks here, though, his voice is, yet again, very quiet. he sounds just about broken right here, and it makes my heart ache so bad for him

after a brief break to check out what athena and michael are talking about, his therapist says, "i treat a lot of first responders—people who run toward danger—but maybe there's something you're running from as well? what is it about discussing your feelings that scares you?" the answer buck gives her? a very defensive, “i’m not scared.” if youre not scared, then why are you avoiding talking about your damn feelings like the fucking black plague? and when i say that he says it defensively, i mean, like, way too defensive to Not be suspicious

we don’t get to hear anymore about that particular question because next, we’re checking up on athena and michael again, and then we’re talking about something else. the therapist says, "you lost somebody. that's hard."

as he says this, he sounds fucking SAD. he sounds completely and utterly BROKEN. throughout this whole clip, he sounds entirely broken. the therapist asks if this was his first time. he responds with, "i mean, i've had calls where it was... too late, but, uh, but i've only been doing this not even six months. now, i... i just can't shake the feeling that this one didn't need to go down the way that it did." again, he sounds like he’s hurting really badly. this loss is really taking a huge toll on him and that is Very clear. she then asks him if he thinks there was something he could have differently. he doesnt respond, just looks up at her like this:

his eyes are a little red, and it looks like there are some tears in his eyes. like wow, you could murder me and it would hurt less than seeing buck like this

now, the next snippet is about where everything Starts Going To Shit (this is also the part where i start sobbing like a dumb baby, but thats neither here nor there). 

you see that shit right there?? if you listen hard enough, you can hear my heart breaking into a million pieces. from this point on, buck is CRYING. honest to god fucking CRYING. he looks like he’s hurting so badly, especially at the end of that gif, when he furrows his eyebrows. it looks kind of like he’s trying to keep himself from straight up Sobbing. i’m sure it seems almost like i’m dwelling on this for a little longer than necessary, but i think emphasizing how emotional he is in this part is very important to understand just how much the end of this scene makes me fucking SEETHE. this next little bit is where i start to transition from Sadness to absolute Rage

you see that? this is the start of my slow deterioration into madness. up until this point, everything about this therapy session was completely and entirely professional. but home girl decides, hey, yknow whats a good idea? waltzing my happy ass across the room, sitting down directly in front of my PATIENT, and resting my hand on said PATIENT’s arm. i dunno about you guys, but this seems terrible on so many levels that it isnt funny.

now, yknow what happens next? some classic avoidance from our boy. she calls him mr buckley, so he says, "it's, um... it's actually just buck." (after VERY AUDIBLY SNIFFLING by the way, but i digress). he then deflects even FURTHER by asking her if she friended him on facebook. 

“i thought you looked familiar,” he says. he’s no longer actively crying at this point, but there are most certainly still some tears in his eyes.

now, do you know what happens next, after a brief break to check up on athena and michael? the worst thing that could happen happens! i know it, you know it, little miss unprofessional sleeps with buck! and yknow what she says Immediately afterwards? “i can’t believe i just did that. i am so sorry.” like.... no! saying “sorry” doesnt change the fact that you TOOK ADVANTAGE of someone who is CLEARLY not in the right frame of mind to consent to something like that. yknow what he was doing the last time we saw him? crying. bc hes in a very vulnerable place in this episode. and yeah, sure, i guess you could make the argument that he was seducing her a little, but that doesnt change the fact that this is fucked up. now, side note about me, i’m only in high school and i’ve never had any job before, so i dont quite know the ins and outs of the professional world. but i do know a thing or two about common sense, so its pretty easy for me to assume that shit like this is awful on like a million different levels. i think the power imbalance is super clear to anyone who has any number of brain cells.

now, buck being as emotionally stunted as he is, says that she made him feel better (probably just for a few minutes, but thats neither here nor there). and yknow what she says? “you should go.” remember that quote from earlier? the one that i said was important and that i was going to go into later? “well, that’s not unusual. you’ve been through a trauma. that’s why you’re here—to deal with those feelings.” yknow what buck Didnt do? deal with those feelings. he talked about his feelings for maybe ten minutes, and that’s assuming that, during the cuts to athena and michael, the session was continuing and that it wasnt a matter of like, oh, this stuff is happening At The Same Time.

and all that is just During the session. we dont ever see the aftermath of it, we dont ever see buck talking about that session or anything along those lines. and we most certainly dont see him trying to go talk to a different therapist. the rest of what im going to be talking about this post is purely speculation, but i think its highly probable that this could all be canon. like i just mentioned, as far as we know, buck hasnt gone to another therapist after that shit show. additionally, we can also assume that buck really hasnt talked to like....... anyone about the shit he’s gone through, both past shit and shit that was brought up from this first loss of his. so as far as we’re concerned, he’s never properly worked through it all. he’s also probably never gotten any proper coping mechanisms to deal with any further losses. it seems a little too morbid to think that bucks just gotten used to the feeling that comes with losing someone, so i think its pretty safe to assume that, after every single loss he suffers, he gets like..... super fucked up, purely because he never talked about (a), the reason why hes scared to talk about feelings, or (b), how to deal with said feelings, especially when they’re bad. and thats not fair to him!! that loss clearly took a huge toll on buck, Most of the description of that episode is talking about the roller coaster and bucks feelings, but he never got to heal from it. if buck doesnt get something akin to a redemption arc, where he gets to see a therapist to properly work through all of his issues, i’m going to riot

anyway. thats all i have to say on the matter. i’ve been working on this for most of the day because i have so many thoughts and feelings about the way buck was treated during this episode. i will die mad about it. but i think i’ve said pretty much all i have to say on the topic now, so i hope my frustrated rambling was interesting or whatever to read. so, thanks for reading! ♥

11 Out of Sight Out of Mind

Cordelia brings up a point about how this school doesn’t take the safety of its student body seriously. I ask again why Cordelia has any friends. This is looking like a Cordelia episode...

What the hell is this locker room? It’s cavernous. Why are the lockers so short?

“It’s not her arm I’m looking to be on.” - Mitch. Is that implied to be a rape intent or is that gonna be consensual? And then he’s immediately bludgeoned with a floating baseball bat. 

President Skinner is gonna be high up on my fave characters list. “I don’t think Mitch needs his comb right now, I think he needs medical attention.”Also Skinner has been given a paranoia about whether or not people are going to sue the school. I think we’re passed this, Princ, the chemistry teacher got his head eaten earlier this semester.

Xander continues to be a pig. 

Why on earth is Cordelia working on her prom dress at school? I thought she was getting it custom made. 

Giles meets Angel. Angel shows up to mope at him about how lonely he is without Buffy. Giles 100% won’t forget he’s a vampire b/c he’s super on edge, but he’s also having this entire conversation with his back to Angel which is very unwise. I think this scene is going to be definitive of how his character is handled going forward. 

Oh then Angel shows half an interest in his research and now they’re going to be best friends. Glad to know the boyfriend got Dad’s approval. 

Cordelia actually did a good job campaigning? I wonder if she’s going to be a transformative character? Grow past this really vapid stereotype.  Also I think Invisible Girl has a crush on her... but we’re in season 1 so I doubt it’s gonna be stated outright. 

Does invisible girl live in the walls? Did they lock her in the disappointments room for not playing flute well enough?

 Shit I was right.

Now we’ve escalated to murder! Strangling a teacher with a plastic bag.

Cordelia tries to get us to empathize with her b/c she’s alone in a crowd, which sure, okay, I’ve been there before... but being alone in a crowd is one thing and being a complete bitch to everyone is another. Having friends is the solution to being lonely and pushing everyone away is not. Like, you’ve got a crack in your facade now, that’s great... we can work on that, but you’re going to have to work hard to meet us in the middle, beginning with learning other poeple have feelings. 

Holy crap Giles and the scooby gang get gassed in a closet then Buffy is drugged. Marcie has been studying up on homicidal strategies. Watching a lot of murder movies. At least she was kind enough to numb Cordelia’s face before cutting her up... 

Angel to the rescue! “It’s not like I need the oxygen.” lol I love it :)

Cordelia calling Buffy’s name, she actually sounds concerned for her? Probably gonna be spun that she was concerned for her not being able to rescue her, but I want her to be transformed. I want Cordelia to have an arc.

The FBI shows up randomly. They’re like “She’ll be a useful member of society” and both me and Buffy suspect she’s going to be turned into some kind of secret government weapon. 

Oh yeah, Cordelia is going to change. There’s a reason why her last name is Chance.

Willow is such a giving person. she loves Xander enough to enable his crush on Buffy. 

Hooray Buffy is responding to Xander as a human being. She’s like “I don’t feel that way about you” and he’s like “You have to be undead to make time wih you huh?” and she’s like “That’s harsh” and he’s like “victim card” and she’s like “Sorry.” Good job, Buffy.

Giles on the phone -- “Hi this is Giles... Rupert Giles.” There’s more than one Giles in the network. 

Hey Ms Calendar is back to comfort her boyfriend. Also did she just say Cortana mailed her info about the apocalypse? I choose to believe she did. 

Why do we assume that b/c Willow knows computers, she’s knows how to set up sound equipment? I guess she does so what am I griping about?

Xander is all sour grapes about Buffy and is still comparing himself to Angel. He then asks Willow to go as backup chick and she’s ALSO A HUMAN BEING AND SAYS NO BC SHES SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW HER CRUSH ISNT WORTH THE PAIN. Good job, Willow. You’re tops. 

Uhoh, she overheard the prophecy. SMG did  a good job in this scene. Wish one of the men in her life had said something to make her feel better. 

Then we cut to Xander being a mopey mope and get out of here, Xander.

Willow has another human response to what’s happening around her. I do love smart character writing. I want Buffy to give her a hug so bad! You both need it! 

Giles was going to take responsibility and fight the Master, but we know how that’s gonna turn out. He’s been damseled more often than anyone else. Buffy then punches him unconscious which is the OTHER way he’s spent 12 episodes. Still, props for the effort, Giles. 

Damien: “Help me.”

Buffy: “Don’t waste everyone’s time. Just take me”

Xander just said “Locutus of the borg.” Do you even watch TNG, Xander? Love is gonna get him frakkin murdered. 

“You’re in love with her.” “Aren’t  you?” “Isn’t everyone?”

I’m sad the Master didn’t have more screentime. Then we cut to random Xander comedy. Stop that. 

Oh no! Buffy bit. Buffy dead! CPR - Angel “You have to do it, I have no breath” 

Cordelia drives through the goddamn building! Epic!

Ew tentacles from the ground. 

The hellmouth is a creatureeaaaaaaaAAAHHH HAHAHAHA! THATS HILARIOUS

“What can I say? I flunked the written.” - clever line “You have a hawaiian punch mouth” - not a clever line. Guess you can’t win them all. 

If it turns out that needing CPR is good enough to count as dying I’ma roll my eyes so hard...

Season 1 over! It was a good season. I can see where it’s had some growing pains but that just means it’s got room to improve, and it’s got six more seasons so I know it has time to as well! Season 2 is sitting on my kitchen table to I plan to keep going!
