hiii i was wondering if you could write abt an asian mc ? with the brothers or the dateables i don't mind! i just think it would be funny to see yk asian mc who's a high achiever (so even at RAD when they know nothing abt magic they'll try to score high), always take off their shoes before entering a place (entering a place with shoes is forbidden !!), always cook rice or stuff from their country when on cooking duties ("wdym we already ate that when it was my turn last time?"), will make you special herbal tea if you're sick (first time i suggested to make tea for my ill white friend they laughed :( ), tells you to eat more and in the same fashion, whose love language is giving you food, etc... bonus point if mc swears in their mother tongue. And if the MC was living in their native country before going to the devildom, their ability to just nap anywhere as if it's normal.

As someone who grew up in an asian household it's just regular to me but i can picture the face Lucifer would make if the first time mc enter Dia's castle they take off their shoes casually or like MC stuffing Beel's mouth with food as if he just didn't swallow the biggest mouthful of udon ever saying "come on Beel you need food, you need strength to play Fangol"

For the nap thing i was thinking about my relatives who take nap on their wooden bad or just the floor during summer (cause its fresh yk). My grandma always said a hard bed is good for the back lol

i'm a different flavor of asian but some of the culture overlaps so this was fun to write! haha the amount of times my grandma has urged me to eat more is hard to count. oh and the amount of tea i drank when we went to visit. i'll never forget watching her make the tea because it was a whole experience

if you don’t, well, he’ll just pick them up when you swear and hope he can figure out what it means haha

when he first meets you, he'd not sure what to expect

however he quickly learns you're the best at everything you do

this includes video games and everything of that manner

he's got competition now, but he has no clue how you got so good considering it was probably your first time at all of the games you've tried

he's impressed by your work ethic and desire to achieve

you got dropped in a totally new environment and instead of struggling to adjust like he predicted, you bounced back almost immediately and were at the top of your class like it was nothing!

he tried to ask you once why you seemed so determine to get the best grade and never asked again after the look you gave him

something the two of you can bond over, though, is tea! he can often be seen with a cup of tea so that's an easy conversation starter between the two of you if not homework instead

while initially he thought you two might not get along, you actually do quite well

he's huge on no shoes in the house and especially in his room

after all, he wants to avoid bringing as many outside germs into his room as possible

can and will ask you to teach him how you make your special herbal teas because he hates being sick and genuinely just wants to know

he falls in love with your rice cooker

rice that easy and that quick? sign him up! if he didn't already love rice you've put him on it

he doesn't think he could ever part with you and your wonderful cooking

even if you do cook the same thing every time it's your turn, he will inhale it because not only is it delicious, but you're an amazing cook

even he's impressed by your ability to fall asleep anywhere

at least he's always with his pillow and maybe a blanket but he's seen you just curled up on the porch waiting for someone to get home

but that sighting was rare, because he felt like he always saw you doing something

THIS IS QUITE LITERALLY THE MOST INSANE THING SOMEONE HAS EVER SAID TO ME LITERALLY WTF 😭

first and foremost, totally understandable. this feels evil to admit but I watched the entire first season and four episodes of season two before I stopped. then it was 2020 and instead of studying for my ap exams I decided to watch the entire show (at that time season 4) was coming out and basically fell in love.

IM GLAD THAT IT GOT YOU TO WATCH TO THE END because god really I am never going to forget this though. this is still though quite literally the most insane thing someone has ever said to me and the highest praise bc wdym YOU READ THE ENTIRE FIC NOT HAVING WATCHED THE SHOW AND THEN WENT AND WATCHED THE SHOW AFTER I AM SO NOT NORMAL ABOUT THIS WHAT

I do think a lot about engagements/numbers on tumblr when it comes to my writing and I do think that part of that is natural just because the fact that numbers are there makes it so easy to compare to other people. this is one of the least popular things ive ever written but the interactions and conversations and love I do get from people who have read this makes it so worth it for me that it makes my heart swell. like sincerely, this is the only reason that it has gone on for so long and why I try to make chapters long and put in things that I know people want to see UGH im so not normal about this thank you so much

Family portraits

So Sonic family tree lore has been swimming around my head to point that it’s gone from headcannons to its own somewhat au that ties in Sonic’s many parents and siblings

I was gonna draw a portrait of Tails & Sonic as well as Sonic, Shadow, Maria, & Charles but I didn’t like how they looked so yeah

Might attempt to draw them again later idk

🚨GIANT AU LORE PARAGRAPH WARNING🚨

So basically, Jules had a fling with Aleena when they were in their 20s, but Aleena’s parents forbid them from marrying because Jules was not of royal heritage like Aleena was. However, Aleena’s parents never properly reinforced them to separate until Aleena found out that she was pregnant and Jules was banished from the kingdom. Eventually, the triplets are born with Sonic being the spitting image of Jules with Aleena’s green eyes. (As for why Manic is green and Sonia is pink, I’ll just say it runs in Aleena’s family which is why Aleena’s parents are the color they are in the family tree.) Since Charles, Jules’s older brother, still lives within the kingdom, Aleena asks him to help her in raising the triplets which Charles readily accepts. (Robotnik never steals the kingdom from Aleena here so Aleena never gives up her kids.) Charles is the one who gives her the idea to give Sonic his birth name Olgilvie Maurice, named after both of Sonic’s grandfathers. Charles and Aleena co-parent the triplets, Olgilvie spending more time with his ‘Uncle Chuck’ than his siblings. The three siblings find out that they all had a love for music so Aleena crafts them those medallion necklaces. (They don’t have magic powers like they do in Sonic Underground.) But unlike his siblings, Olgilvie is born with an unusually high amount of chaos energy which gifts him the ability to run at super sonic speeds. When he turns 10 years old, he decides he wants to go off and see the world. His family disapproves so Olgilvie tries to run off, but Charles catches him. Charles doesn’t want Olgilvie to leave, but knows he can’t stop him so Charles gives Olgilvie his plane. From then on, Olgilvie introduces himself as his nickname Sonic to anyone he meets. Sonic then stumbles upon a fox kit that he takes under his wing as his adoptive little brother. All of Sonic’s cannon game story lines stay the same. At some point between adventures, Sonic reunites with Jules and Charles. In all that time separated, Jules had fell in love and married Bernadette (he has a thing for purple hedgehogs I guess lmao), essentially making her Sonic’s stepmother. (Jules never gets robotized here.) Jules never gets to meet Sonia or Manic. Continuing the family tree, Sonic falls in love with Shadow and they have kids with their combined high amount of chaos energy. Their first born daughter is named Maria in memory of Shadow’s adopted sister and their second born son is named Charles after Sonic’s uncle.

In one of the houses we lived in, the previous family grew strawberries in the garden. When summer arrived so did the ripe strawberries. I literally remember once having strawberries for lunch

My oldest memory is probably watching my mom paint. I remember blues and reds. My mom is actually an artist but I seem to have missed the gene because I can't even draw a proper circle

(Ironically enough I draw straight lines really well jagsjsgkdha)

when i was little, till i was like 6/7 years old, we used to live with my grandparents cause they had a big house. i loved playing around there, i would literally spend my afternoons wandering around the house in search of stuff to do. the thing i remember the most was using my grandpa's computer (running windows xp) and playing minesweeper. some years later i would've done the same thing with purble place, i was obsessed with that game 😭

another thing i remember from those years was going to the park which was right behind my house and going around with my winx scooter. and this my folks is the reason why i can't ride a bike! (i also had a bike but never used it lol)

oh i also remember watching the fantasia vhs on my grandparents' tv over and over again. that was Something (i loved that movie a normal amount)

ANYWAYS study just a bit longer!! don't overwork yourself!! also good luck on your exam 💓💓 how many of them do you still have?? i hope you can rest a bit after that :(

well, i know everyone had an incredible time and there are definitely no characters who are emotional wrecks after the valentine’s festivities wdym!!! i am just jumping in here with a post event plotting call !! i will most likely be dropping a fair amount of my pre-event things, just to get a fresh start and do some spring cleaning. that said, i am gonna keep / transition replies as they start to wrap up. this is basically for me make sure i can have a place to put all my thoughts for plotting! and with that said, below the cut will be my babes vibes / plot ideas. they are all open for plotting !! please like this for plotting !!! i decided i’m a liar about the starters and will be doing small calls within the discord where needed !!

she/her pronouns - bro her dad attacked her, she’s having an awful terrible time. chibiusa really thought being sailor chibimoon as an adult would be easier than as a kid, but really she just realized how difficult all of this has become, and is sort of falling harder into her training. because she knows how hard this is going to be if she isn’t always training. also, training keeps her distracted from the memories of her dad attacking her so, win win... right?

she/her pronouns - this was incredibly unsatisfying, honestly. while she was happy to, she spent most of the night helping rabastan, stopping him from hurting narcissa. and while she really did not mind helping a friend, she does feel like she missed out on the fun. but for now, she’s happy to just move on, to just continue trying to find her footing within the city.

she/they pronouns - tired for a v different reason. they haven’t used their powers like this in a very long time and girl needs a FAT NAP. they absolutely over did it, went way too hard fighting mob and really just would like to pretend that the whole night never happened. will not be leaving their dad’s house, or their room even for a while. would like to just be normal again and valentine’s proved that they are far from normal!!!

Bungo Stray Dogs - Season 2 A highly unconvincing "I like the anime a ~normal~ amount" commentary.

-i'm about to start s2 and i'm giggling like a schoolgirl about to meet her crush. i'm all "I MISSED YOU, DAZAI!" i finished s1 yesterday. THERE WAS NO TIME TO MISS NO DAZAI! and yet.

-i already thought we were on the saddest ep so far, with dazai saying he loses everything he wants, but then the kids got blown off and... yeah. we're in the dark timeline. i came out here to have fun and...

-ranpo?? bumping into oda?? i was not expecting that.

-aha aha ha, bungo stray dogs, so whimsical, then why am i crying...

-and then dazai fulfilled his "i want to help people" goal and found friends :'). so lil bb has been with the agency two-ish years. okay. okay. i love dazai. okay.

-i'm glad the ending titles are keeping the theme of dazai tenderly touching his people

-i can't believe i'm saying this, but i feel bad for akutagawa. he needs help. like in life.

-this is the most intensely i've binge-watched something in a long time. and i don't binge-watch, i need breathers. but no. it's dazai et al or nothing.

-I LOVE SEASON 2 SO MUCH :"))) It’s just proof of how a story can be serious and violent and dark and still have a fundamentally feel-good vibe. misleadingly feel-good that is, ‘cause once you take a moment to take in what’s happening, it’s more like, “DERANGED! EVERYONE IS DERANGED!” but in a feel-good way.

-i really like that people stay in the story. that they're not one-off antagonists/allies.

-I wish wish wish i were familiar with more of the actual authors. i don’t think it takes away from the enjoyment if you don’t know them, but when you do know them, the references are like easter eggs and it’s delightful.

inner turbulence

summary: hinata shoyo is an empathetic person. he didn’t need to go through pain to understand another person’s pain. all he needed to understand was perspective. and that was all there was to it.

in japan, the legal age that entitles a person to enter the mafia was unknown. all that was known was once you were recruited, any past experiences, memories and relationships were all lost once you started training.

unlike most, hinata was lucky. most of his friends were already accustomed to the culture so the cutting of other relationships didn’t feel like such a heavy burden.

all he needed to understand was that in some instances, two wrongs do make a right. and in his case, that came in the form of bloodshed.

it’s twelve am in the country he’s returning from.

the last station had been a false alarm so their journey of three days had been for nought. besides from the odd stares for his brightly coloured hair and unexpected optimism, the assignment hadn’t been too taxing, just a few checkups here and there - he wouldn’t even be on this vehicle if it weren’t for miya’s laziness and tendency to take full advantage of the seniority role.

“it’s tradition to make the newbie take all the assignments at first for a week.” he could see the sympathetic glances from his other teammates and clearly this was a regular occurrence.

he’s forcing his eyes to remain awake despite the unholy hour it was, letting his thumb scroll through countless socials and trying to still submerge himself into his previous life, one that wasn’t filled with so many abnormalities and secrets.

if he concentrates long enough, sometimes he can still hear his sister nagging him for leaving without any further notice, leaving his mother distraught. it makes his heart heavy with emotions he doesn’t particularly enjoy experiencing nor speaking too much about but he knew there wasn’t anything he could do about that.

it’s ten minutes past 3 when he finally dozes off, the phone slipping out of the grip of his fingertips slightly and resting comfortably in his palms. with the position he was sleeping in, there was no doubt that he’ll have to find time to stretch all his limbs out.

ten minutes then twenty minutes go by before his phone vibrates. the sound is deep and hollow but ten seconds follow after that, the sound reverberating in his ears.

it takes five vibrations for hinata to wake up, brushing away the particles of sleep that had accumulated, telling him that his body had finally managed to rest.

miya atsumu: yer awake?

miya atsumu: oi

miya atsumu: i know yer ignorin’ me

miya atsumu: at least respond!

miya atsumu: answer the phone dammit!

if he wasn’t so tired, he would have scowled. following on from that, he would have preferred to ignore the message but seeing as miya didn’t look to be stepping down from texting him, it didn’t look like the conversation would die down anytime soon.

hinata shoyo: it’s 3am

miya atsumu: and it’s midday in japan. time zones exist

hinata’s lips pull into a pout. if you know that, then why are you even texting me at this time.

hinata shoyo: what is it?

miya atsumu: well i can’t discuss it over the phone cos of security issues and that but we’ve got another assignment

what?

hinata shoyo: wdym another assignment? i haven’t even gotten enough rest from this current one!

miya atsumu: well take that up with meian not me.

he knows that it was most likely atsumu who convinced meian to administer this mission not the other way around.

hinata shoyo: when is it?

miya atsumu: twenty-first of june

of all days? assignments would usually take a few hours or possibly a few days; hence why sleep was such an important thing to have if you were doing them back to back. on the plus side, the longer assignments were usually worth a lot more money since not everyone was willing to take them on.

unfortunately miya atsumu wasn’t “everyone” so he brought any new assignment to meian who administers and arbitrates it, resulting in the four of them (i.e. bokuto and sakusa if he was feeling up for it) to set off and complete the task.

on the rare occasion that the assignment could not be completed, a supplementary team would be sent out - something which atsumu never took pride in because it didn’t sit right with him that another person was completing something that he wanted to do initially.

despite being in a group together, they were already ahearsed with his tendencies, hence why they don’t even question his bad mood when they’ve failed their mission.

hinata dozes off after sending another message to miya, briefly telling him that he'll think it over after he returns to the main quarters.

“i hope you’ve been eating properly.” the voice his mother makes is stern and fixed. he wasn’t expecting a call from her at this time, especially since he left without saying goodbye. she was forgiving, but that forgiveness could only get you so far…

hinata replies with a sound that was followed by a breath of relief coming from the other line. “i haven’t changed anything about my diet. just added some more protein and increased my calories by a small amount. nothing too alarming.”

“that’s… good.” it goes silent for a few minutes before she clears her throat. he’s old enough to know that there was something wrong. there was a certain tone that she would take; mannerisms that she would often hint at to let you know that something was bothering her.

natsu wasn’t old enough to understand but when their mother was in this state, any slight tremor could set her off.

“well, i’ve got to unpack my things now so i’ll talk to you soon.” he hopes that’s enough to ward her away. his teeth bite the inner flesh of his cheek. was she satisfied? he hates the idea of treading on eggshells around her but hates lying to her even more.

“yes, i suppose that does take some concentration. i’ll call you again later in the week shoyo. me and natsuo miss you.” don’t say that. “she won’t say it but she misses not having you there to play volleyball with.” please don’t say anything else. “we love you.”

“i love you too.” the line cuts as he discards his phone into the pile of clothes waiting to be folded and put into his wardrobe. saying those three words gets harder every time he has to hear them. hearing those three words gets harder because he knows that she’ll break if he stops saying them.

hinata questions the reason why he decided to work for the mafia.

was it because of the money? the danger? the thrill of becoming a criminal of society? no. it definitely wasn’t any of those reasons. because if you asked anyone here if they were happy, they would struggle to answer truthfully knowing what they knew now.

perhaps that’s why miya lost the spark in his eyes the last time he saw him those few years ago or how bokuto seems less chirpier than usual or why sakusa seems so mellow as opposed to his usual level of aloofness.

as he’s packing away his belongings into their respective slots and drawers, a knock at the door reaches his ears. an infamous splash of blonde catches his peripheral and the ginger is quick to shout a “come in” to allow him to enter.

miya is sporting a black turtleneck and a matching pair of straight leg jeans. out of respect, he removes his shoes to reveal the grey socks that stopped briefly before his ankle.

taking the vacant spot on his bed, he releases a breath of relief.

“so how was the mission?”

“not very eventful. they made a mistake with the request so we still get the money but they’re currently sending out a notice to meian to let him know about the error,” hinata shrugs.

“is that so?” the relaxed tone of his voice irritated hinata for some reason. “anyway, i still need to get yer up to speed with the new assignment.”

“ahh you mean the one that you said you couldn’t tell me about at three o’clock in the morning.”

“how many times do i need to tell yer that it was an honest mistake shoyo?” he hisses. “can we talk about that later though? i still need to explain the details.”

hinata nods, letting miya relax once again.

“okay so i went on an expedition with bokuto a few days ago in regards to a rumour i heard a while back.”

“you mean the one about the daughter of the man that runs that big fire armoury? i thought she died after going missing? isn’t that what the report said?”

“yer really think she died?” miya asks. “because something about that report didn’t sit right with me.”

hinata frowns. “but you’re always saying that and most of the time there isn’t anything wrong.”

“bokuto thought the same actually. he didn’t read through it all but he noticed there was something odd about the dates they wrote down.” hinata turns to hear the sound of papers being ruffled around, looking at the beige coloured file containing a few miscellaneous sheets, held together by a few staples. “turn to the third page. and read out the first two dates.”

the three dates he recalled were said in the following order: “date of birth, 27th december 1996; date of first recorded absence, 20th august 2010; date of recorded death, 23rd december, 2010.” *the dates look normal to me.

“anything weird about those dates?” miya asks to which hinata shakes his head, confused. “that’s what i thought initially until i gave it to bokuto a week ago. he thinks someone tampered with the dates.”

with that, he looks at the report once more, staring at the black print for a straight minute or so until his head pops up like a recoiled spring.

“yeah you’re right! it used to say august instead of december!” he points out. “but why is that significant?”

this idiot notices one small detail and doesn’t even understand the significance behind it? atsumu thinks to himself, narrowing his eyes.

“well don’t yer think it’s odd that her death was recorded just three days after her first absence? in fact, the person must’ve been missing for about six months before they can put it down as a death. only issue is that the paperwork gets really annoying to fill out.” he grimaces. just the thought of all those sheets to sign, read through and tick seemed too tiring for him.

“really? i didn’t know that!”

‘course you didn’t.

“yeah it was something sakusa actually told me during our lunch break. so i brought it up with meian and he said that we could investigate and report any findings.”

“well did you find anything?”

“nothing. even took a train to the north to check but we didn’t find anything,” he sighs. “so we came back to tokyo and decided to treat ourselves with a drink at this club i recently found. they offer shows at night provided that you book in advance.”

“why is any of that important?” says hinata who was aware of the infamous club he was talking about. the one that their head nurse hated because of how uncomfortable the men at that place made her feel. judging from the face of disgust that she made, he could only imagine how horrid the place must be.

“well whilst we were wallowing in self-pity, one of the waitresses caught my eye.” miya smirks and tells him to turn to the first page.

he looks at the picture of the supposedly dead girl. “what’s so special about the photo?” apart from the poor quality of the images, his eyes catch onto the family photo of four individuals, the girl in question standing in the middle.

he doesn’t remember seeing a family photo that looked so hostile.

“every member of that family is identified by this specific tattoo. i don’t know why it’s necessary but whilst that waitress was cleaning, i noticed that she also had a tattoo on the lower side of her navel.”

“that doesn’t sound like a decent thing to do.”

“i didn’t stare okay! it was just a glance. but it looked really similar so i got to thinking and started comparing the image. they looked very very similar.”

miya continues to explain his findings to hinata as he cleans up his room. the conversation lasts for around ten more minutes until he’s finished folding away his clothes and miya is satisfied with what he has to say. compared to other missions, this one seemed like one that he was extremely persistent about completing, the reason unknown to him.

when he feels the bed dip, miya looks at hinata.

“so what do yer think? does it sound cool?”

he shrugs. “i don’t know. just sounds off to me that we’re going to kidnap someone and give them away for some leverage.”

“it’s just something you’ll have to get used to shoyo. things like this are normal.”

he doesn’t reply. instead he flops onto his bed, rubbing strands of his hair away from his face to stare at his ceiling. is this what the mafia was about? getting innocents involved in dark business? treating people like objects? was this something that seemed like fun to him?

conclusion: he couldn’t think of one, to say. says that it’s because his mind wasn’t in that “proper mindset.” [2.2k]

here we go to my barchie comments on my 1x04 rewatch (yes, i skipped 1x03, so what about it?):

first of all let’s talk about how much betty worries about archie and that’s the most adorable fucking thing ever!

and then she sees him entering pop’s with grundy and immediately gets up to go talk to him and says that it has to be right at that moment and he gets up without any follow up questions and goes with her outside

and when she questions him about his relationship with grundy she looks absolutely appalled (AS SHE SHOULD) and then veronica comes and betty says how it sounds like jail time to her (which yeees, i had forgotten how much the grundy storyline pissed me off) and then archie is looking at betty all soft eyed going like “betty, say something, please” begging her to not be like this because her opinion is what really matters to him but she just shrugs and walks away (which i don’t blame her for doing, most of all when archie said miss grundy was the only one who believed him when no one else did like betty wasn’t there every step of the way, baby girl looked so hurt after that comment) (that being said, this wasn’t archie’s fault, he was in a toxic situation with a sexual predator)

okay, but what’s up with archie thinking that betty would actually expose them on the school newspaper?? like, doesn’t he know his best friend??? at least jughead is being sensible “if there was even a iota of a chance that something could hurt you in any way, betty wouldn’t do it”

then her speaking to him AGAIN on their booth at pop’s and she’s trying to be really fucking reasonable and he’s basically like “if you’re truly my friend, you’ll let this go” and i’m like BITCH, she’s trying to look out for you, show some goddam respect to her and her agreeing but knowing full well she will stop at nothing until she knows archie is safe!

and afterwards she still insists on telling him what she found out because she doesn’t want anything bad happening to him🥺

THEN we have one of their famous walks and he shows to us that he actually listened to her and questioned gr*ndy about her life and all of that, betty listens to his side and gives him advice, because she’s still worried and i love them for it!

ALSO, not really a barchie moment, but i love that when alice comes to get fred and says “it’s about the kids” he IMMEDIATELY goes because he’s a good dad, okay?? the best in fact, love that for him! and the moment before when alice and hal come to his doorstep because alice wants a and b to stop interacting and fred just has this face on like this is a normal occurrence already

NOW, to the best part of the episode, can we start by talking how archie was truly going to follow betty’s advice??? he was going to break things off with gr*ndy after she told him, the amount of trust he has in his girl is *chef’s kiss* then the gang arrives and everything goes to shit! but still betty stands her ground and tells her mom loud and clear that she”ll “never stop being friends with archie” and takes a step further by actually threatening to expose everything about their family that is not so perfect and archie looks SHOOK right before saying that he doesn’t deserve to be betty’s friend, he truly thinks she’s too good for him!!! everything is settled once the bitch leaves

special mention to betty mouthing “i’m sorry” to archie when they arrive

to the last scene now, we have the classic “love makes you do crazy things” entry on betty’s diary, showing to us that veronica wasn’t that far off into questioning if b still had feelings for archie!!!

AND then we have ANOTHER beautiful window scene where archie immediately picks up his cellphone when he sees that betty has hers in her hand (btw archie was just sitting there, staring out his window, meaning he was just watching betty’s bedroom probably thinking about went down and mostly about HER, of course i’m not emotional about this, wdym?) and when betty apologizes he doesn’t even think twice before forgiving her, knowing she was just trying to help! i do love that he never actually got angry at her <3 and then the little smiles they exchange at the end, i’m melting😍
