Swap AU Stuff

Alright let's jsut try getting down basics maybe

Also this maybe long actually.

The obvious Swaps Lunar and Eclipse: Basically how we meet them in episode. I legit went along with thinking this Eclipse wasn't memory wiped the whole time so thats kinda- in the air a bit. But Lunar being the original body (I have a post showing how Eclipse looked then), Eclipse with the one he made (to be taller. He can't stand being small... Well shorter than anyone really. A shame he has Bloodmoon towering over him.) The Glamrocks: They are as Swapped so Chica is Freddy, Freddy is Roxy, Roxy is Monty and Monty is Chica (I love them immediately after giving them luscious hair im sorry). Rox and Sun are friends and he's quite protective of Sun, also a cowboy cause swap au/Foxy etc. Digi in the discord came up with this and i died cause it was so good actually. Eclipse and Lunar still go thru the whole October Arc with Moon and Sun. Moon being far more quiet but aggressive. Made Sun to hinder Eclipse. Let me paste my lil paragraph i had in discord

"Sun likely has more denial about moons treatment of him, however like lunar he does start questioning if its good for moon to get the star (like sort of getting the Moon Wont Stop so i need to do something he might hurt himself etc) plus lunar and eclipses treatment of sun would be a huge factor too, eclipse obviously is terrible at communcating and while he's a bit of a jerk, realizing sun might be in danger or hurt is something he might catch on faster. maybe. im thinking anyway sun catches attachment to both that outweighs his denial of moon being terrible actually. he's still grasping at things even well after. doesnt realize he gets awful panic attacks until someone points it out actually. and then i lost my train of thought but moon still loved sun just…. very clearly was not the forefront of his goals tho. feels very betrayed by sun after and likely wont fogrive sun. vs sun whos too willing to forgive despite his anxiety screaming at him NOT TO. i just wanna show a different thing to this cause lunar recognized halfway into october and let moon handle the rest and recognizes that eclipse was hurting him much sooner than sun wouldve (see the… current sun. og sun recognizes now but it truly took him a WHILE, communication Real now.)" Anyway, Sun does end up getting adopted by both Eclipse and Lunar. He's never gonna be taller than Eclipse. But as mentioned he's got a lot of things to work through about Moon (Roxy will kick so much ass for him.) Generally trying to grasp that yeah no it was pretty fucked up of Moon to do anything to Sun. Now the timeline gets a lil weird beyond this because like KC would've also been in this plot. KC unlike our Bloodmoon, is actually far smarter (Im sorry to bm fans), he DOES work with Sun but generally more for his benefit of getting rid of Moon. He doesn't really need to be bribed for this actually. Imagine KC being so pissed about Moon showing up in his systems and hes LIKE WTF MAN. Zappity Zap Zap Double Dee Moon Anyway Cue Bloodmoon arriving. And like bloodmoon does- He does technically hold Eclipse hostage but gets bored. So there is mild agreement. Bloodmoon does what KC did and FORCED themself out (like our OG boy!). They're uh... theyre not very keen on sticking around a daycare as fun as itd be to tear it up. They like lightly bully Sun but Roxy to the rescueee. Anyway, 'Does KC die in this au?' No he doesnt. He gets CLOSE to it but Bloodmoon just goes 'Hmn. nah son you're coming with me'. Lunar still feels incredibly bad about it though. Space arriving sooner actually more or less helps like avoid some certain issues here and there. Unlike Earth where she arrives much later (due to be literally distracted.) Space goes directly to the daycare. Thus kinda- changing some bits. He does meet Bloodmoon, hates him though. 'Why aren't you thinking this through' 'We wanna see how much they scream' 'You'll be electrocuting yourself before you get the chance' '...That means Eclipse gets electrocuted?' 'Put down. the fork.' KC handles Bloodmoon with much exasperation. Bloodmoon picked up this sucker and went 'our Spawn'. Baffles KC. Space ends up meeting Crater, Moon got annoyed with Space's presence being literally really hard to work around. Sends Crater, Crater and Space get along well enough that it wasn't Moon intention but this works too. Space (theres irony here) gets concerned with Crater and her not viewing herself with autonomy. She is still just a 'basic AI' as she puts it. Does what she's told. Bloodmoon doesn't really use her just kinda shoo's her off to Space or Eclipse. 'No you're no fun-' 'I have told to monitor you' 'WE DIDNT ASK MOON FOR A BABYSITTER' 'I am programmed to defend' 'We dont need defending either' 'You are still vunerable' '...Go away' 'Affirmative. Destination please?' 'DAYCARE'

Anyway How do i sum this up. Roxy and Sun are besties Lunar and Sun vibe. Eclipse is soft with Sun.

Bloodmoon has claimed ONE child. Doesn't really claim Moon but thats a later thing. Moon and KC despise one another.

KC didn't really want this fatherly figure but he begrudgingly accept them. Funny things happen with these three. Bloodmoon doesn't become pacifist, just more or less moves away dragging KC with them. A little bitter at Lunar's murder attempt but its fine. No one died there but heavily maimed.

Eclipse and Moon still ultimately hate one another. There is a Swap version of Solar thats Moon and- we'll get confused so just know its out there. Space and Crater are good friends and partly why both end up questioning their existence but both support pillars to one another that it just kinda isn't as devastating. Unless someone dies. Crater does end up having her own personhood, Moon does get attached to her even if he doesnt admit it. Space doesn't question creator enough but Crater does and vice versa. Bloodmoon(s) does have a name but ill reveal that later??? idk

Anywaysss, I am busy but figured I'd post some fact/headcanons of the au, aoke plot points, mostly surrounding Emily because she's the main change of the au

Emily has a pretty big sweet tooth, and when she does get sweets she always gets extra for Razzle and Dazzle

Again, I will say this, Vaggie, Charlie and Emily are wrangle and dazzles moms. Keekee is not counting as a child cause the seems more like. A ept while Razzle and Dazzle seem mroe sentient, at least to me

Charlie and Seviathans relationship, post break up ofc, is like Ron Swanson and Tammy 2s, no the uh- getting back together part but the '....she's here-' part, Charlie absolutely hates his guts and whenever he's near her more demon features come out as she looks around trying to spot him

Emily barely holds herself back from killing slaviathen, you'd think it'd be Vaggie, but no, it's Emily

Emily design resembles a succubus, it was by complete accident, she lieks the color of horns and didn't realize what it could resemble-

Emily absolutely hates Al but hides it ebhidn a cheerful smile, silent anger so to speak(she does end up snapping at Al and I am so excited to write that scene)

Husk is Emily's father figure I already have a whole chaoter planned surrounding how they bon, Emily calls him dad from that chaoter onwards

Angle constantly makes 'I fucked you dad' jokes, even if they aren't true, at Em cause he knows it pushes her buttons....she retaliated by buying water balloons and throwing them at him one day when he makes the same joke again

Husk just watches.

In the pilot, vaggie holds up her spear and Emily pushes it down like "...no, no..." the Katy says soemthing homophobic and she immediately moves her hand away and says "nevermind. Do what you want."

Emily hates waking up early, she's done it for YEARS in heaven she'll eb damned if she does it for more in hell (plus there's nobody on her about being on time to places)

You knwo that scene where Husk is calling everyone out? Well, he looks at Emily and goes "and SHES....well....I've got nothing on her, she's perfect" you can tell who his favorite is

Remember when angle brings them ti a bdsm club? Yeah, I've- I've got a FUN scene idea for that-

Screw shoes let charlie show her hooves- especially since I 70% sure that hoped animals have to walk on their hooves or else they risk a lot of different things so- yeah, I'm throwing away her shoes.

Also have her show sone more demon features, I love making designs so much- and of course their gonna be more animalistic, cause I love expanding on animal nosies and behaviors and stuff, it was always planned tho I didn't have a specfici bird in mind for vaggie until the hawk feather exorcists au, she also makes moth noises

You know victor from lackadaisy? I dont knwo why but I kinda like to imagine husk as him- like I'm debating if I should make husk have had a daughter when he was alive who he didn't get to see cause of the divorce and turned to alcoholism slowly. And Em reminds him if her and that makes him SCARED

Fun little idea I had that I may or may not include, depends how I'm feeling honestly, I do wanna ta leats keep some things liek how 'gruff' he is and apply it to husk, idm I feel like their personalities are every similar, thoguh that might jsut be me-

Charlie knows Vaggie and Emily are angles and all that stuff, as I've said before. So I'm debating wether or not to keep Al's deal in, I think I will but tweak it a bit

I love Al, but he is an above avrage overlord at best, the only reason he was able to fight agaisnthe exrocists and Adam was due to them not being used to people attacking BACK and seeing it more as entertainment then actual hunting.

Anyways Em may or may not call him out casually on multiple occasions- 'he does realize if he fights Adam he'll die- oh, and there he goes called it!' She doesn't like him

Em was very much called 'lucifers replacement' by many angles, not Sera but even Sera soemtimes accidentally said lucis name instead of Ems at Keats a few times. Anyways she hates lucifer despite never meeting him and for soem reaosn never realized he was Charlie's father-

Al and Rosie are Charlie's uncle and aunt, foudn family my beloved

The reveal that Emily is Emily the seraphim....well, lets hsut say when revealing vaggie to be an exrocist doesn't work. lute notices how fimiliar Em looks..... it's gonna be a very interesting chaote rthats for certain

Re: the split/kid Kim AU, I've seen you say a lot about the interactions between Chay and Kim and kid!Kim (which are wonderful and I love them!). Do you have any thoughts about the interactions between Kinn or Khun and kid!Kim?

Ooh, you're right, most of my posts have focused on Kim and Chay which is hilarious, because actually! The fic is centered around Kim and his brothers!! Since this fic is figuratively and literally about healing Kim's inner child, a very large part of that means mending his relationship with Kinn and Khun.

When this fic starts, Kim is ~13 and his Kinn is still dating Tawan. Kinn hasn't gone through all the heart break and betrayal that turned him into someone cold and cruel. He's still Kim's big, sweet, kind older brother, and even though kid Kim is a grumpy little storm cloud, he loves his brothers more than anything. He doesn't know why everything is suddenly so much different, but he trusts Kinn to fix it. And Kinn does not know what to do with a Kim that wholeheartedly, unquestioningly (mostly) trusts him.

“Kim?” The boy doesn’t respond. Kinn wants to reach out to him, but he’s still got that knife clutched in his hand, and he might be wild enough to use it, even against his own brother.  “It’s alright, nong, you’re safe now. You’re home. I’m—hia’s here. Okay?” Kinn crawls closer. He keeps his voice even and soothing, or tries to, at least. He doesn’t know how well it works. Kim doesn’t move from his hiding place, and he doesn’t stop shaking.  Kim’s voice breaks when he chokes out, “I don’t know what’s happening.”  When Kinn comes closer, close enough to touch, Kim doesn’t flinch away from him. He picks his head up and fixes Kinn with his wide, red-rimmed eyes, and looks at him like he holds all the answers. Kinn desperately wishes he did.  “Hia?” “Come on, nong.” Kinn holds out his hand. “Let’s figure this out together.”

This is probably going to end up focused on Kim and Kinn's relationship, actually, since Kim is already a little closer to Khun. Luckily adult Khun is jsut as crazy as Kim remembers, and he takes the whole kid!Kim thing in stride, so naturally Kim gravitates towards him. But as much as he loves Khun, Kinn is the one he looks up to, the one he believes can fix everything. And Kinn, who takes on so much responsibility, who's finally the one in charge, can now protect Kim the way he thinks he should have when they were younger.

This fic is also where I started my headcanon that Khun calls Kim his little songbird. At some point adult Kim will see how easy it is for his younger self to get along with his brothers (talking, spending time, cuddling with them, all things Kim hasn't allowed himself in years) and it makes his heart ache. He thinks it's too late. Even apologizes that he isn't the brother Khun deserves, but Khun just huffs and calls him an idiot for ever thinking that jsut because he's broken out of his cage and is flying free, doesn't mean he isn't still Khun's precious songbird. He's jsut been waiting for Kim to stop being so stubborn and finally come home, and so as Kinn. Cue little Kim taking Kim's hand and dragging him into a cuddle pile bc see? how easy?? it is???

And it's not easy, because Kim doesn't have these memories of being close to his brothers. They feel like strangers to him now without them. But... it is nice. It's so good, he doesn't know how he's lived without them all these years. Kid!Kim is happily bundled up in one of Khun's fluffiest coats, calling Kim dumb for nor seeing how much he still needs them. The story is about Kim healing his inner child, but his child self ends up healing him, too.

There's also a really fun dynamic between Kid!Kim and Porsche, because Kinn. Does not know how to brother. But Porsche is very good at brothering, and he knows how to handle Little Brother Emotional CrisisTM. So until Kinn learns how to be a brother to Kim again, he's the one filling that role, and it's very cute. Esp. when Kim finds out Porsche is Chay's older brother, then he's all awkwardly trying to as about his super cute future boyfriend 🥺👉👈 (He tries to play it cool around Chay. he is not successful. Chay thinks he's adorable.)

After Kim is reunited with child self/no longer going around as two people, he ends up with really weird feelings towards Porsche? They weren't particularly close before, but suddenly? Porsche feels?? safe??? One day Kim just hugs him out of the blue and they both freeze because it was such a natural instinct to Kim he didn't even question it, but also he doesn't hug Porsche?? ever??? (Porsche thinks it's both hilarious and adorable)

Also I want to mention that I have a very similar AU to this, except it's Kinn that gets de-aged instead! Porsche drops him off at Kim's apartment out of the blue and Kim is like wtf no?? And that one has accompanying fanart! Little Kinn gets nightmares, and he sneaks in to sleep with Kim bc he's too afraid to sleep alone 🥺

The only thing worse than Halloween in the city is Halloween in the country. There seems to be nothing these people enjoy more than scaring the hell out of the city folk unlucky enough to wander into their "haunted trail" or "corn maze of doom." Popular attractions that boasted what looked like startlingly real entrails, and over excited ranch hands revving chainsaws at anyone that walked too close. It's the best, you would spend every weekend out here if you could. Especially if it means getting a peak at the real attraction.

You've seen more than one person posting on social media about one specific corn maze's "killer". The mask is nothing special, one of those blank white party masks, but the bursts of laughter and physicality of the woman under it? You were a little smitten.

Smitten enough to be leisurely as you wander the maze. You're properly spooked by the glowing eyes in the corn, the growing sense of unease as you come across blood splatters and viscera, even the other scare actors jumping out to make you run for the next turn. Still, none of them are who you're looking for. You're not quite paying attention to the maze, you don't think you're lost, but you're starting to worry you'll get out before you ever meet your favorite scare.

You shouldn't have been.

You turn away from your fifth dead end and come face to face with her. Everything about her is curated to inspire danger, her clothing ripped and splattered with blood, the grimy mask leaving just enough room for her eyes to shine through it, down to the butcher's knife clutched in her hand. Deep crimson liquid drips off the startlingly realistic blade and onto her boots. Her posture makes you feel like you're staring down a wild animal, her movements unnatural as she takes a step towards you.

Despite all of that your heart skips a beat for a reason so far from fear you're actually a little worried about your mental state. You're frozen at the sight of her, unsure how to drag out this moment. You want to say something. Fuck what do you say to a scare actor you're more than a little in love with?

"You're supposed to run sugar," She tells you, tipping her head to one side. You giggle nervously at the affection, watching her flip the knife in her hand. She hums, hunching her shoulders to tip her head further, looking at you sideways. "It's no fun if you don't run, you want this to be fun don't you?" You nod, you think she wants you to say yes and you desperately want to do what she wants. "Then go on baby," She presses, straightening to her full height, "run."

She stands to the side as you sprint past her, you feel the wick of metal against your leg. When you look down your pant leg has a fresh cut right at your thigh. That's a real fucking knife. Christ, that's a real knife. Why does that make you so excited?

You glance behind you and she's gone. Your disappointment is short lived, you're forced to stop short by her cleaver cutting through the tall stalks of corn on your left. Her eyes wild with excitement as you start to wonder if this is maybe... not a haunted corn maze. She flips her knife and swings at you. You duck with a sharp yelp and take off running again. You don't bother checking behind you again, you take turns quick and haphazardly. You hear the 'shick' of her knife as she cuts the air behind you and you know she's on your tail.

Your heart pounds in your chest, your breath heaving as you run. Despite the adrenaline you can't help responding to her wild laughter with some of your own. You're having fun. Really terrifying fun, but fun none the less.

You turn into a dead end and stop short, just as you feel fingers grab the back of your neck. Your pursuer tugs you back against her chest, the edge of her knife pressing tantalizingly against your throat.

"Well that was unlucky," She tells you, low and sweet against your ear. The plastic of her mask hardly dampens the feeling of her words. You shiver, careful of her blade as you swallow.

"Fuck you're hot," You blurt out, adrenaline making you significantly less eloquent than you would have liked. You cringe a little. She snorts.

"That right?" Her fingers drift from gripping your neck to your hair, scratching your scalp before grabbing tight at the base. The ache of it is pleasantly sharp, you get the feeling that this isn't part of the scare. "Always fun when y'all come through," She breathes, talking to herself. You press back against her, feel her slot her knee between your legs as you do. You were just trying to put some distance between yourself and the edge of the knife, but this feels like something totally different. "You want me to slice you baby?" She patronizes, barely a whisper against your ear.

"No," You grit, although...

"No," She coos, "You want mean Goose to fuck you, right?"

"I'm not supposed to play with my food," She stands, "so call me once you get your head on. Probably won't be workin' by then."

She nods your head for you, careful of her knife, before pushing you to the ground. You scramble to crawl away from her, turning onto your back when you hear her crouch. She pushes her mask up with a wicked grin, still holding all the intent you'd been running from. This feels more dangerous than her knife. Something about her teeth, the way they're bared for you, sets you on edge. You think it's seeing her face, that makes this feel more real.

You recognize her. Goose. She helped jump your car when it died in town. She'd seemed so nice. She tugs a slip of paper from her back pocket and tosses it towards you.

I jsut had an idea for Slow Boiled Stone Egg au.

Basically, in the base jttw canon story, both Buddha and Guanyin are supposed to be present DURING the fight with Macaque. So you can bet that after a battle like that, Guanyin is going to insist on Wukong getting a checkup, like... he's pregnant for crying out loud and just had to kill his mate. While she is doing that, Gold Star basically comes down to get statements and discovers A) Wukong is a Stone Monkey, B) he pregnant, and C) he very much wants to keep this a secret. Now, Gold Star always liked Wukong. It's why he tried also hard to defend him when the Jade Emperor was all for killing him for his insolence from the get-go. Learning his favorite troublemaker had been a member of his favorite species of extinct primate celestial this time is a big shock to him, and he did so after discovering he had to kill his own mate, who without the magic to keep up a glamour, is now very obviously seen as another Stone Monkey. He's gonna know what that means for Wukong, being ghe msot knowledgeable about Stone Monkeys and their mating habits, and he'll feel a lot of sympathy for him.

I imagine he'll have a talk with the Pilgrims, just letting that they should take it easy on Wukong for a bit after the death of his mate, and offhandedly mentioning the fact Stone Monkeys mate for life. And kindly ask that they follow Wukong's request to keep these facts hidden and secret, and to respect that Wukong is in grieving and likely will not ever truly be able to find romantic love again.

Oh gosh, and Guanyin and Gold Star were likely unaware that Macaque didn't know until the fight was over. Buddha probably did but he has a lot on his cosmic plate rn.

The PIlgrims, the Gods, and even Guanyin herself wanted to step in and stop the fight; but Wukong refused. He demanded that it stay between him and his mate, that he can find a way to calm him down enough to tell him.

In the Jttw Stone Egged au: Wukong is successful.

However, in the Slow Boiled au: he tragically isn't.

Wukong is sobbing, wailing, screaming over the deceased monkey before him. His Pilgrim brothers are so disturbed by what they just seen that they can't even speak. Guanyin is stoney, trying to hide her own tears of sympathy as she tries to approach the monkey to determine his and his unborn's condition. Wukong refuses to move from his spot drapped over his unmoving mate.

Meanwhile, Gold Star stands nearby. A look of dismay, confirmation, and horror upon his face.

I hc that Gold Star has some huge empathy, not only for demons, but for any form of life - as the planet Venus is now scienfically believed to have once had a basis of life similar to what later developed on Earth's pre-Cambrian. The primordial god of Venus had to watch all life on his planet die off, whether due to supernatural or cosmic changes. When he became the Jade Emperor's right-hand man, Gold Star advocates for all life, now matter what - including a little chaos monkey he suspected was a reminder of the far past.

When the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque fought and the Macaque died; Gold Star basically witnessed what very well could be the last member of an extinct species kill their mate in self-defence. And upon realising that both monkeys were an extinct species of celestial primate? You might as well have crushed a dodo egg right infront of him.

Stone Monkeys mate for life.

Sun Wukong is an *immortal* Stone Monkey. One that's carrying a Stone egg (!!).

And he has just killed his mate in self-defence.

Gold Star bluntly states the above bullet points to the Pilgrims when asked why he himself is tearing up. All four companions weep with sympathy as the knowledge sets in, Tripitaka in particular blaming himself for banishing Wukong just before the Macaque tried ambushing them. Had the monk maybe have been more trusting of his student then maybe both monkeys could be alive right now.

At some point during the grieving, a mass of chains rise up from the Underworld and pull the six-eared monkey down into the depths, ignoring how the Monkey King screams and digs through the dirt to follow his mate.

The stench of death magic hangs in the air.

Wukong stare blankly at the dirt. His moonlight has been taken into the Underworld. Somewhere he himself is unwelcome.

In the next few years he attempts to bursts through the gates to retrieve his mate, only to recieve word that the Liu'er Mihou is not listed among the dead throughout all the levels of Hell. Wukong cries once more, now bittersweet, that his mate has passed through the Bridge of Naihe into the next life.

Wukong spends the next thousand years waiting.

So I went dumpster diving in my tablet for the first lamb I ever drew and WOW... I found a lot of sketches I really don't plan on revisiting. I am jsut gonna dump them below the cut for people to see!! Some of it is lore related, some of it is shit I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HATE, but IDC!!! I will post it anyway for the tumblr users who I keep an eye on my notifs for. (yes, i see you guys. even if i dont always interact I see you and love you guys)

kallamar and leshy before their crowns. the scene i have related to this isn't happening anymore, but it was leshy begging to be taught to swim.

another "the one who baby sits" doodle. the bishops all came into the cult with a very good repuation thanks to narinder. he likes to tell the kids of the cult stories about how amazing his siblings were. at first, it was just to nobre and brejul with stories about leshy(he missed leshy a lot even though he was still mad at him, and the two reminded narinder of his time with leshy), but then it escalated into him hosting storytimes with larger groups after they started repeating some of the stories he'd tell them.

unfinsihed stuff about with the lamb and thier mom. their mom wasn't afraid of the bishops at all, but knew that they were a still a threat to her and her child's life. the lamb did NOT care for anyone thier mom didn't approve of/enthusiastically liked. they were much more afraid of the bishops than their mother.

im still workong on BTG shit, and i post a little bit of the characters on here even tho the comics are going to be posted elsewhere. they have a "crownlike" beak, but a body part. there's different creatures who became gods through different ways; crowns are one way but their power is stuck with the crown and they are considered extremely weak compared to other gods. i wont blabber on about it tho.

Pack Structure and Society hc

Hello its me im back with another long post. It was originally jsut supposed to be about packs but it got kinda mixed up with some other general society stuff. This is made for my writing personally so it's not even close to a one size fits all but feel free to take concepts u like !

🏔️ In my society packs are very central. My au isn’t total traditional, but I do take a lot of the more traditional stances when it comes to packs.

🏔️ Packs are typically a mix of blood relatives. It’s much more rare than you’d think to find a found family kind of pack where no one is related

🏔️ Packs are lead by the pack head, traditionally an alpha. A pack will also have a second, traditionally an alpha or beta. Large packs have a few more designations as well. The heart is the packs top omega usually unrelated /unmated to the head. Some packs also have a matchmaker, usually an omega in charge of choosing mates and giving relationship counseling. Some packs have a finance head, exactly what it sounds like usually a beta in charge of money and land. All packs typically have at least one pack paw. A paw is the pack’s muscle, think palace guards in fantasy aus. Large and rich packs will have enough paws to elect a paw head to coordinate their protection. Paws are traditionally alphas. Packs that are very religious will often have a religious leader as well. Their title varies from religion to religion as do their dynamics. This is sometimes different than like a priest in a church in a neutral town (keep reading for those) and sometimes not.

🏔️ The power hierarchy in order is:

--Pack Head

--Second

--Paw Head (optional)

--Heart (optional)

--Finance Head (optional)

--Matchmaker (optional)

The religious head is not included as their place on the hierarchy can vary depending on religion and culture.

🏔️ In very traditional packs (most of them in my au) these positions are passed down by blood. As such each of these power positions is controlled by a different family, not mated pairs.

🏔️ Most packs tend to hold counsels with all these positions in attendance when big decisions are made, but at the end of the day what the pack head says goes.

🏔️ Packs can vary in size, but for my world building im going to focus on larger, rural area packs

🏔️ These large packs typically own quite a bit of land! Members are usually spread out over multiple buildings with the largest property functioning as the pack head’s home and a communal space. The pack head’s door is always unlocked.

🏔️ All buildings are usually within walking distance making my world a hell of a lot more rural than irl as you have these large tracts of pack-owned wilderness between villages

🏔️ A pack on the smaller end probably only has one village, or cluster of dwellings whatever you wanna call it ig, while larger packs can have three or four. In this case there’s usually some kind of town hall type meeting for all members to mingle a few times a month.

🏔️ These packs are self governing. Usually the heart and the head paw are in charge of discipline and justice, with the blessing of the pack head. 

🏔️ Since packs are self governing, packs have the power to execute, tho it is rare. Usually an offending member is outsourced to a private or government run prison, but in extreme cases a pack can legally kill

🏔️ Traditional packs are extremely territorial, and trespassing is one of those cases punishable by death

🏔️ Packs have a… long…. Complicated… history of alliances and enemies it can be super confusing for someone new to the area

🏔️ Packs do take in packless people from time to time. It can happen more formally or more relaxed. Formally a pack will seek individuals at shelters for packless, rehabilitation centers, or finishing schools. More laid back packs will simply advertise.

🏔️ Packs also arrange marriages between their allied packs (which in the 21st century can span across the entire globe) and some are known to buy omegas in particular 

🏔️ There are towns/cities on neutral grounds where pack borders meet. These towns are government owned and run and often have all the little shops and markets and religious centers and hospitals and pharmacies and movie theaters and libraries and what have you. Pack members can visit these neutral towns anytime they want! Tho very strict packs will not allow their omegas out on their own without a chaperone 

🏔️ While each pack is different, it’s not uncommon for packs in my setting to adopt a representative animal to act as a logo/crest of sorts! Some packs can be very closed to outsiders and these are the ones that often have their members tattooed or branded with the animal for recognition and a rite of passage

🏔️ While packs in a country/area do have cultural things in common they can also differ widely. 3 packs might be neighbors in territory, but one is devout Catholic while another is made of Wiccans and moon worshippers while another still are totally agnostic and are just really passionate about a certain football team. Stepping into a different pack can feel like transporting yourself to a different world/time. 

🏔️ There are two kinds of schools in this world: public government owned ones that are in the neutral towns that any area pack can attend, or private home schooling left up to the packs (but the government does check in on certain milestones for these ones) I'll make a different schooling hc later !

🏔️ Most of the packs in this world are pre established. New packs are often met with hostility.

🏔️ Packs almost always meet on neutral ground no matter if the function is positive (a mating dance perhaps or a holiday event) or negative (bickering over where the real border is)

🏔️ Some packs are self sufficient and farm and hunt on their own. These packs have lots of betas !

🏔️ Other packs rely on the neutral towns to provide for them, so their villages tend to be close to the border.

🏔️ Pack wars are mostly a thing of the past, they don’t really happen much tho certain packs are hostile towards other ones.

🏔️ All packs have a scent to them, you can tell when a person is of a certain pack or not and pack bonds are usually maintained by platonic scenting.

🏔️ Some packs desperately search for new members as they have issues with interbreeding

🏔️ Money is less of an issue in my world, a packs main source of income are usually a few working alphas and betas and if some betas and omegas decide to sell produce in the neutral towns. The central government will provide a ton of social services so these traditional packs (who are often considered like a cultural thing important to preserve) don’t struggle in modern times. 

🏔️ A pack will typically have less omegas compared to another dynamic, they’re more rare! It’s why some packs take protecting their omegas so seriously. In ancient times rogue or enemy packs were even known to steal and forcibly bond omegas from other packs. The protective instincts have remained even tho this is heavily illegal now and would be grounds for one pack to kill members of the other.

🏔️ Nature and land is way more important than irl !! Most packs keep their lands pristine wilderness they use for hunting or recreation. There are a few packs who have donated certain lands to the government to be preserved as national parks all packs can enjoy. Overall tho destruction of wilderness is taken so so seriously.

Lets talk about soulmate aus:

Okay first, because I've been talking about this a lot with @dinas-bracelet shared dreamscape soulmates.

-Dreams are shared between soulmates, but they are just as trippy and confusing as anyone's dreams are. Sometimes one person gets sucked into another's dream and sees a piece of their world, sometimes its just a shared weird dream vibe. It's very difficult to communicate through them with your soulmate until a tsaheylu has been made before.

-I'm not gonna mention jeytiri too much to leave that shit for Chloe but like, the idea of Neytiri falling asleep just to see kid Jake hiding under the bed and just hiding with him or Jake going to sleep and running around in the forest with Neytiri while she's like "Come on, Sylwanin!" The POSIBILITIES.

-Kinda vibing with locorro for this one. I'd imagine Lo'ak and Spider have bonded before, and growing up together has strengthened their ability to communicate in their dreams. They are well practiced.

-I just like the idea of them meeting every night to compare how hard their days were.

Spider: HELLO SOULMATE, TODAY I WAS TORTURED. DON'T WORRY THO I ONLY HAVE A LITTLE BRAIN DAMAGE AND I BROKE ONLY TWO FINGERS TRYING TO SMASH MY WAY OUT OF MY CELL.

OKAY NEXT soulmarks:

-we talked about the name one, with a soulmark being the soulmates name written on your skin. What makes this one tricky though is that the Na'vi do not have a written language. I like this, because it means the Na'vi would likely have a different type of mark. I think it would be an image of their spirit animal that they would see during their uniltaron on the other persons body. That gives us a TON of possibilities.

-We can have jeytiri where Jake's mark is toruk on Neytiri because he will become Na'vi. This allows them to not know each other and for Jake to be real fucking confused by his soulmark all his life lol.

-BUT FOR LOCORRO, lol. We talked about Lo'ak's mark being just Spider's name. BUT BEAR WITH ME. What makes him different than Jake? If we decide Jake is born destined to be Na'vi why not Spider hmm?

First words your soulmate says to you written on your body:

-BUT ALSO: for spiri

-I imagine them meeting in the lab, and Spider's words are on his arm and it just says "Hi!" in English. I imagine no one is greeting him very much lol. Not in a mean way, they just know he's there and he's never been outside to meet any strangers.

-I feel like this one HAS to be nocorro just for the ultimate pain.

-Kid Spider gets cut on a broken beaker that he knocked off a table and tried to clean up at Hells Gate, and kid Neteyam all of a sudden starts crying and won't stop telling Jake his hand hurts. Jake takes Neteyam over to Norm to ask if he has any suggestions for soulmate injuries for kids (Jake himself never had any when he was young because Neytiri wasn't born yet, same for Neytiri because Jake was in cryosleep for a long ass time). Instead they find Norm stitching up the same hand on Spider.

-Jake is really excited, because it's so rare for someone to find their soulmate so young. He's confused when Neytiri isn't excited, she jsut starts crying. When he asks her why she's like "that human boy is going get hurt a lot, and eventually, he will die. Young. And our son will feel all of it."

-Rip Spider getting kidnapped and Neteyam falling the fuck off his ikran when Spider starts getting tortured

Jake: get up kid we gotta go or we're gonna die

Neteyam: I'M SORRY I FEEL LIKE I'M BEING TORTURED??

-WE CAN GO EITHER WAY, WE CAN HAVE NETEYAM DIE AND SPIDER LYING NEXT TO HIM FEELING IT OR WE CAN HAVE HIM LIVE AND GET SHOT BUT THEY BOTH ARE LIKE, ON THE BRINK FEELING IT.

A very popular one is the one where you can't see colors until you see your soulmate.

-I don't vibe with this one as hard, because it makes me sad that people wouldn't see the beauty of Pandora from the get go! But I find the idea of Jake seeing the bioluminescence but also color for the first time a cool cool vibe.

One of those tattoos that changes color depending on what your soulmate is feeling things.

-Just kinda funny that Spider's soulmate would be like why is this motherfucker sad as shit all time time? Where is my sad ass soulmate??

These next few are not that serious but the ideas have funny implications:

You have a meter of how in-danger your soulmate is.

-JUST THE IDEA OF SPIDER'S SOULMATE STARING AT THE CONSTANT IN DANGER METER THE ENTIRE LIKE SEVERAL MONTHS HE'S WITH THE RECOMS GETS ME.

-Literally same thing here, it's like, Neteyam probably walking around like "ow ow ow ow" trying to live his daily life in Awa'atlu.

-This one is hysterical, again, for jeytiri. Na'vi don't have written language tho so there would have to be a different thing for them, but IMAGINE the implications. Jake staring at his arm while the meanest things Neytiri can even think of are just floating around. Neytiri, pissed, as downright vulgar shit appears on her stomach from Jake.

Do you have any advice for finding people to write fanfic with? You talk all the time abt your collabs with punct and it sounds like in addition to providing a second opinion, the two of you really help motivate each other to keep working on stuff :)

UUUUUUh I am uniquely not the person to ask this I think, lmao. Instead of "coauthor" lets say "collaborators," because that's much more common for me.

Because for the PT Benji AU, that one is pretty unique. Punct had the initial idea and I think we haggled a bit over "well SOMEONE has to write this, the idea is so fucking good" and I started turning the brainstorming sessions into an outline. Then because I know Punct and their skill level, I jsut started.... Poking them to hop in and directly help? And that submission scene two(?) chapters ago, I just fully asked them to take a swing at writing it and I'd revise, which worked fabulously. Hell, just last night, Punct reworked the outline for the last 2 chapters of act one, and it's amazing.

For me, cowriting is difficult because, uh, my speed and intensity. As you may surmise, I write Very Fucking Fast and I have a lot of ideas about the Process, so I often feel like... Roping someone in to work with me is a huge ask.

You know all those posts you see about how writing is a slog and how blank word documents stare back at you and, like, that genre of post? I don't relate to those. When I am entrenched in a project, I often have to STOP writing or I risk literal physical injury. (My worst injury came from writing TSAD, never fucking let ANY human type at that speed, folks.)

I am, frankly, a freak. So as we started collaborating, I told Punct "hey bruh, I know that I am like really intense and i work very fast, please know I DO NOT expect that from you, okay." And reiterated it a few times. /looks over at Punct. So they better keep it in mind!

Anyway, enough conceited clarification, onto the point of your question.

How do you find people to create stuff with.

The number one thing that I will keep saying until I am blue in the fucking face is: post positive stuff you are interested in.

I do not hateread. I try to keep drama to a minimum on Tumblr. When I see opinions and takes I disagree with, I tend to post alternative takes in a hopefully positive manner instead of trying to take down others. I think there is a big habit in fandom for people to go "UGH why are people posting X when they should post Y." And that bitching never actually gets you more Y, it just makes everyone less excited about creating stuff.

When you are looking for collaborative souls, you are looking for people excited about creating stuff. So you need to telegraph that's what you're into in a constructive way. But I think an unfortunate pitfall a lot of people fall into is... Just announcing it.

When I got into Mission Impossible, I didn't do a lot of "hey I'm into MI now, pls come talk to me about it." Instead, I started making posts of why I was into it. Here's some batshit stunt facts, here is a treatise on Ghost Protocol's deep unorthodox streak, look at these pics of Ethan from Fallout.

They're like setting out treats. Sometimes, you lure in people who are willing to say "yes, and." And when you find those people, you keep track of them and see if they continue to be willing to play with you. Then you sidle up and go "so can I pitch you on an AU." And you put them in a cardboard box and carry them away to Discord.

There's more I could say, like how sometimes I try writing towards specific people (like how KTOWL was written at @thedoublepp and I feel like I learned a tremendous amount by doing that) and honing writing based on that, buuuut this post is long.

I think I'm done with the WWMEO +ISOO series. I jsut feel like it's logically run its course.

However, I have two ideas for Dr. Stone fics that I fully plan to write once I have more time in my current writing schedule (ie when I get to a better place in my other ongoing fics). Both the ideas already have early chapter plans. I'm not really sure which I'm going to do next (probably whichever one seems to click at the moment) so if you have a preference lmk.

Both of them are I guess AUs

1.) Bond/secret agent AU fic--I just think it would be a lot of fun having Senkuu as the tech operative (like Q in James Bond movies) behind a spy organization while the rest of the village either functions as agents or other charactrs. Gen is an information broker/ performer, ofc. It will also have an ongoing mystery involved, overall a fun lighthearted adventure-ish fic.

OR

2.) The second is more philosophical in nature (much like WWMEO though on a different theme). It'll be in two stoires--one in Senkuu's view and one in Gen's--and each story will be two chapters. It's got a suspense, mystery, uneliable narators, and Senkuu & Lillian friendship which is something I desperately want in fics. It's...kinda hard to say more about it without giving anything away.

The synopsis is this:

Senkuu wakes up in the perfect world.

This then simply resulted in them having movie nights, sleepovers, lunch or dinner or even breakfast, gossiping with each other or being reckless idiots. Or simply complain about stupid things - They trauma dump on each other a lot and use sad or tragic movies to laugh at their pain. - April pranks Donnie a lot with fake snake toys or things that look like snakes because Donnie developed a fear of snakes afted the deadly venom episode. She stopped after a few pranks. - April often listens or pretends to listen to Donnie so he can feel good about himself and or brag. - Donnie is actuallu touch starved and craves for touching so April hugs and or kisses him a lot to make him feel satisfied. - When Donnie learned and figured out what Valentines Day was. He always leaves Daisy flowers for April. She figured it out it was him when Mikey jsut blatantly in front of April told Donnie to not forget to leave the roses for Valentines Day. - Even when it's not Valentines Day he does it to make her happy and has asked even Casey to give them to her. - April forces Donnie a lot to sleep or else she will poke his eye out with her tessen. - Donnie comforts her whenever she has a panic attack from when Donnie got molecularly scattered or even her mother or any kind of traumatic experience. Donnie is the only one who can calm her down. It takes him a bit but tries his best. - April developed a tactic of rubbing and patting Donnie's shell or neck. The mroe I think about it the mroe I realize I don't know what exactly I was to do with Adam and the exorcists in the hazbins fallen au

On the one hand, I want to keep it close to canon, on the other hand, I want to show that really nobody is at fault, and it's just a bunch of miscommunication and mistakes

Like, I highly doubt the exorcists had a choice to be exorcists, and it's not like they can just- retire

I just really want to expand on heaven and how it works and is flawed

Cause like I don't think heaven is doing anything out of maliciousness, like, Sera obviously doesn't like doing the exterminations but allows them out of futy and fear of having hell residents destroying heaven and tormenting their victims who amd eit to heaven further

Like, if I was told rapists and murderers were coming to my house, I'd grab a gun to!

The exorcists likely had no choice but to kill, and overtime just, grew into it

Adam.....well, an asshole obviously, but even then, he wouldn't be a real problem if he wasn't put in the position of being the exorcist leader and able to take out his aggression in the dude who stole both his wives. He'd still be a dick but not a threat

Honestly, idk if I want to have him die in the fallen, I feel like there's a lot more that could be done with him. The finale battle is obviously gonna be included I mean- it has to be, but maybe Adam lives in this au

Or, at the very least, comes back as a sinner/fallen angle. That's gonna be difficult to write, though, if I do go with that

Like, I think the biggest reveal in the au is gonna be that heavens rules ARE rigged....but not on purpose, the rules were made when the archangels ruled and it was just left uo to one seraphim to deal with everything

They were written when humanity was starting out, written when they thought humans woukd stay the same- but they don't, they change, they ahve reasons for doing bad things

But the rules are just that, rules. They can't look at someone's past and see that they stole to provide for their family. They just see stole and send them to hell.

The system is rigged, but it's not anybody's fault. It's just a bunch of miscalculations and mistakes

And even though it's not anybodies fault, the actions that have been taken have affected innocent people, intentionally or not, and they need to fix it

So I mean, I'm not sure how ambitious that is of me, but it is what I want to at least TRY to do

I wanna add another more detailed layer rather than just have 'heavens actually bad and hell is actually good'

I mean, maybe the archangels oversaw people's sins and backstorues and stuff and decided where they went, but then they left for some weird reason. Hey, maybe I make them the real villains, and they dip cause the human project wasn't going how they wanted, so I left it to Sera/the rest of heaven and just dipped to go do smth else

Like, nobodies at fault for what your ancestors chose to do. And even then, I mean their angels. They can't really realize their actions caused so much chaos so even then it circles back to no one's really wrong people just fucked uo and made bad mistakes/choices

Cause like, Sera being portrayed as the bad guy rubs me the wrong way nd Emily saying "killing innocent souls" in cnaon also runs me the wrong way. Like, Emily, I love you....but I can guarantee that MOST sinners are not innocent. You might get some who were falsely condemned or have minor crimes and can change, but you also have people like Valentino for fucks sake

Side note I think what she shouldve said was "you are killing, possibly innocent souls" or something similar

I guess the main theme? I wanna go for in my fic/au is 'change' and that people can be wrong without being in the wrong, or being the bad guy

So that is a LONG rant, I honestly didn't mean for it to be this long- it was jsut meant to be like "idk what to do with the murder angles please help me" and turned into a rant.....

OHHH I LOVE HER ALREADY SHE'S SO SNARKY AND HER LORE IS SO COMPELLING....... very very excited to see her in game i hope she comes out soon (<- had to wait like what. two/three years????)

Impression now:

gives me brain worms my God. i think i've thought about her too much bc theres so many lil symbols that i associate w her that just aren't intentional in the slightest. she has so so so much lovea nd heart in her and i wishhhh people understood her better. also extremely disappointed in her in-game writing for multiple reasons but like. the ableism and misogyny being a big one. :( colleination could fix her...... i wish she were more mean in the game.

Favorite moment:

her fight w kaeya and the subsequent "confrontation" w amber....... makes me so so sick in the head that was The original collei trio to me. i looove how it plays w all three of their characters even if it isn't shown very well. it's also the basis for a lot of my interpretation of collei since it shows the extent of her beliefs/lack of belief. dear god..... it's so so good.

Idea for a story:

i've talked abt wt spin off au and windblume rewrite a bunch on this blog so let's go with amber and collei liyue trip!! :DD someone comes and tells amber they heard something about her grandfather in qingce while collei's in town and obv collei's like i can't hold you back on this! so they jsut decide to go together bc collei's packed a bag anyways and they're both adept w survival skills surely their different skills will come in handy for liyue. going to qingce leads them to going to yilong port (i'd do qiaoying but i feel like its too close) and amber's like. kinda stumbling w her broken canto-mando and feeling weirdly emotional and she and collei both bond w "coming back" to a generational homeland while feeling like a stranger and its an important moment to both of them bonding as friends and a pivitol point of collei changing her idea of amber as a savior as more of amber as a best friend yk :''). also ga-ming....... i don't know if he'll stay for long bc honestly i do want it to focus on amber and collei but i think it'd be fun for him to at least make an appearance or sm yk!! the narrative there could be so compelling.

MAKES ME VIOLENT. i love him so so bad i miss him all the time. his story is soooo entangled with grief and acceptance and every little step he takes reflects that. he's such a fun character bc it's kinda a study on what comes after the tragic hero's story yk? except the tragedy is in part because he lives! he feels so so much and has such a big hear tbut denies it any priority bc it's easier not to. :((

him and zhongli! :] they're both characters whos stories are about grief but both have different timelines to it and i think that's so so interesting especially when you remember how zhongli showed no emotion during the archon war and how his depart from his duty was his final stage of grief (acceptance) whereas xiao plunged himself into duty and emotional repression as a means to cope with all the grief and guilt and pain that he feels.

Favorite headcanon:

i think the wangshu inn staff gives him li xi sometimes and he's just like "i am literally older than you please stop i have no need for this" but he keeps it anyways. they have a small room saved for him at all times just in case he ever wants it (he never takes it but he appreciates it). <- its small bc he'd die if it was an open space.

Hi Youn! I've got a quick question about your art process, I hope that's okay!

When you're working on a piece or have an idea for a piece, do you put everything that you think will be in the scene down before working on a sketch? Or is it more along the lines of like, the idea forms more the more you work on it? Also, do you draw something every day?

I'm sorry if that's a lot to ask, I'm trying to get back on my art journey and am just a little curious on how others keep up with theirs!

depends on what im gonna work on actually. when its smth lengthy like my omegaverse au comic, i do write a script at first whats gonna happen in specific parts and when i have some scenes clearly in mind i sketch them out real quick so i dont forget the exact angles or postures etc. so usually all is planned out

when i draw small things i dont write things down and it often happens that an idea i had suddenly evolves into more as i get more ideas while i sketch or when i jsut finished smth.

rn i draw smth every day, almost all day. i wouldnt take this as goal or compare that tho bc my productivity is a bit different than others i guess, its heavily influenced/linked with my mental illness (e.g. when im manic i draw several things with same quality or more work than i usual put into at once, all day everyday whenever i can without eating or sleeping enough. WHICH IS NOT GOOD, sleep etc is important. no one take inspiration or smth from that pls !!!)

so you shouldnt aim to draw smth everyday, draw whenever you feel like it without pressure and with enough breaks ! i hope you will find back to your art journey!

i kinda want emilie to be the butterfly user instead of gabriel. nathalie would be the one in the coma.

emilie and nathalie are the sort of friends that make you feel nauseated by how they act with each other (but bc they're just that fucking cute). like childhood best friends with such a high dependence on each other that they're each other's emergency contact, most frequently texted person, "oh [insert name] would love this i should get this", blah blah blah (basically they fucking love each other deeply). so when emilie finds out she's infertile, after some discussion and a Lot of thinking, nathalie agrees to be a surrogate. she doesn't want to raise a child, she's known this for years, but emilie has been dreaming of being a mother for years, and gabriel has drunkenly admitted that he'd probably cry (of joy) if he had a child. also she's morbidly curious about pregnancy. and she wants to be an aunt so fucking bad, goddamnit.

childbirth goes like how you'd expect it to, with alive nathalie and alive adrien. for like seven years, emilie, gabe and aunt nathalie raise this beautiful little child, researching the miraculi in between bc of emilie's curiousity and the fact that it tickles gabriel's fashion brain delightfully and fulfills nathalie's childhood dreams of travelling. the four of them travel a lot. anyway, emilie and nathalie (as like a fun side-trip) find the peacock and butterfly by accident but smtg goes very wrong and nathalie is caught in the crossfire. in a last ditch attempt to save nathalie, emilie puts the peacock miraculous on nathalie (maybe the butterfly is locked up or smtg), and nathalie chokes out the words. it works.

nathalie makes it to a hospital, but it turns out the usage of the very broken peacock miraculous makes you weak and she falls into a coma.

blah blah, some more backstory, emilie and gabriel have a fight, they move back to paris, emilie researches ways to fix this, blah blah, and eventually, years later, psyché is borne, hunting élytres and miss fortune for their miraculous.

as for gabriel, he wants nothing to do with magic. magic got nathalie dead. he just sort of turns a blind eye to emilie's butterfly adventures and other assorted crimes and throws himself into his work. he's guilty, he's so guilty, and he finds his release in his art. eventually, he does become the peacock user but that's a little iffy

like canon, adrien ends up falling to the wayside in this lonely ass house. i mean, his parents are around (never together, and when they are, they're fighting/passive-aggressive) and they talk to him occasionally, but y'know when it's not really neglect or abuse but you as a child can't help but feel something is wrong? yeah, it's like that. a lot of parents-who-should-be-divorced vibes. they are also deeply overprotective

on a bigger scale, the miracle box ends up in the butterfly's hands. how? idk, haven't thought that far into this au. probably grieving emilie trying to find any way to save her best friend and committing b&e? or smtg else idk.

as for the lb and cn miraculi, they'd be "lost" bc of master fu (he jsut sort of releases them into the wild just to be safe). also master fu would have the grimoire, and out of worry, he releases guardianship of the miracle box to whoever the wielders of the ladybug/black cat miraculi are (operating on a "whoever finds the box and claims it first" scale).
