The boys are barely hitting teenagers when Jake stumbles on Neteyam teaching Spider to shoot his bow. About seeing the little human he watched grow up mirror him 13 years ago, holding a weapon double his size and not knowing how to handle it, but this time the boy is comfortable. He’s grinning, cocky and safe, with his son’s hands over his own. He sees his wife for a moment in his son’s soothing touches and then his brother in Spiders grin. It’s healing in the same way that a part of him curls and aches at the sight.
He watches for a while, a silent guard if they get in over their heads. Neteyam is normally level-headed and responsible but Spider is a wild card - plus he rarely sees the two by themselves.
He lurches to intervene when Spider pulls a gun from the bushes, tossing it to his oldest with a teasing prod. It’s big for a human but looks barely larger than a pistol in his son’s childish hands. Neteyam looks nervous but shrugs as Spider lifts his hands to position them better. It takes a few tries to find something comfortable for the taller - it’s one of Norms weapons, not meant for Na’vi, those are locked up safe in home tree - but they settle it in his hands and Jake forces himself to relax. It makes him nervous but he tries to give them a shot. Why, he can’t really decide, but he sits back. If they’ll survive, then they’ll need to adapt. Every solider packs a few scars and he’d rather they do it now when he’s within arms reach.
Spider runs his fingers over the gun and points out where the safety is, how to load it, and then how to trigger it. He doesn’t want to know why he knows all this but suspects his own raids might have been the boys teacher. Neteyam takes a shuttering breath and shoots the gun at the largest tree in their little clearing. The kickback nearly makes him drop the gun and he stumbles back but he grins and laughs like a boy again.
He didn’t realize how long it’s been since he heard that sound.
Spider joins him soon after, clumsily notching an arrow and attempting to hit the same spot. He misses by a long shot and groans dramatically but there’s a camaraderie in the air that he remembers from his own youth. It’s a signature of growing up and something he only really remembers from Tommy. He smiles and watches for a bit as Neteyam tries to fix Spiders posture then tries to one up him with another shot. They’re sparing with the gun, clearly worried about getting caught despite the bravado, but the sound is swallowed by the forest enough to allow a few trysts.
It’s been a good half hour when Spider manages to knock a branch off the tree he’d been aiming at. The boys cheer with such pride that Jake can’t help but feel a little proud. He guesses they really are growing up.
“Okay, okay, hear me out - your dad can’t be pissed if we bring home dinner right? Why don’t we, yknow, try these out for real?”
Jake swallows back a groan and steps out from his hiding spot, perhaps they aren’t that grown up after all.

Can you please draw Nocorro? (Neteyam x Spider?)
If you want inspiration there is @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie that is full of Nocorro.
She even inveted with some anon (that is definitely not me no no nooo) an au called secret mated au!
Basically, to sum it up, Neteyam depressed about responsibilities goes to Spider and Spider comforts him by telling him he feels the same.
So they like spent A LOT of time together just talking and chilling and discovering more about the other.
Then before Neteyam becomes a official member of the clan they decide to have sex, because since Neteyam will re born he and Spider will possibly not even talk ever again.
They do it, they think it will not be recognized as mating because Spider can't connect.
But eywa slays and obly recognise Spider as her son, so the thing is blessed and the next day Mo'at discoveres it and announces it.
And everyone freaks out and-

Sorry but i will NEVER belive that in the secret mated au Spider gets kidnapped by the RDA.
For me when Lo'ak calls Jake telling him what and who they found Neteyam doesn't wait a single moment.
Lo'ak: "Me, Spider, K-"
Neteyam: "Lo'ak i swear that if Spider gets hurt in any single and possible way, if only an hair is being pull out of him. I will beat the crap out of you"
(I like to think Neteyam is protective of Spider, I will die on this road)
So then Neteyam says to his parents he knows a shortcut, and they practically have to beg him to go slower because their ikrans are almost giving in from fatigue.
Neteyam growls at them, and then say a low apology remebering that those are his parents.
They arrive, he jumps off his ikran, and he founds the others in no time, his parents behind him.
Then bla bla bla fight and bla bla bla
Neteyam during the fight grabs Spider and Tuk and he runs with them were they put the ikrans.
"Tuk you ok?" He asks first and Tuk who is shaken nods and she hugs him tightly.
"Spider are you ok?" Neteyam asks and Spider nods before hugging him tightly too.
"I was so scared i thought- i don't even wanna thought what i thought" Neteyam says
"Is alright dude, I'm okay" Spider reasume him.
"Oh mate, my dear mate" Neteyam says
That how the family finds out, them returning to the others and hearing Neteyam say 'mate' to Spider.
OR
Neteyam getting kidnapped with Spider because there is no way he leaves his mate behind.
I'm so sorry, I have many things to say about this.
FIRST OF ALL, killing myself at Spider calling Neteyam "dude" only for Neteyam to respond with "my dear mate." Like, the audacity. Neteyam's not even worried anymore he's simply like, doubling down on nicknames to combat DUDE. His family find out because he was pissed about being called dude. Now I simply have to headcanon that Spider is calling Neteyam the most platonic, dudebro names possible while Neteyam tries to call him sappier and grosser pet names.
Spider: Hey man, what's up?
Neteyam: Seriously? Hey gorgeous, how are you, BELOVED?
Spider: I'm doing great, thanks, my guy.
Neteyam: Great to hear, sweetness.
Spider: How about you...
Neteyam: Don't say it.
Spider: ...bro.
Neteyam: OH GOD.
Secondly, I still am of the hardcore nocorro mindset where Spider is Neteyam's place to be vulnerable and voice all of his fears and inadequacies. I don't vibe super hard with the idea of any of Spider's relationships being the na'vi character protecting him all the time, I don't think he would accept that. He can handle himself and he would hate being babied. Plus, the Sully's especially are so important to him because they treat him like an equal. So I guess I'm fighting you on this road?
That being said, I do find the idea of Neteyam hiding the fact that he's trying to protect Spider from him, so he's just secretly threatening Lo'ak all the time, whispered fights behind Spider's back or as soon as he leaves, like "that is my mate now not just your dumbass idiot best friend, stop trying to get him killed along with you." And Lo'ak's just threatening to tell Spider about it all the time.
Neteyam: don't bring Spider to that.
Lo'ak: oOH, I'M TELLING HIM YOU SAID THAT.
Neteym: WAIT-
Finally, I can see Spider getting kidnapped while they are secretly mated, just because Neteyam trusts his parents. The drama would be this might be the incident to break that unfailing trust. They are kids, and despite growing up in a battle, their parents are legends. I think it would be a big deal for Neteyam to have them not bring his mate back, even unintentionally. They're supposed to be the perfect people he's living up to, what the fuck is he doing if they can fail? Mental crisis.
Also Tuk on the back of the ikran as Spider and Neteyam reunite:

Background: Inspired by @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie Secret Mating Nocorro AU where they mate after the final battle, and Ronal finds out leading to everyone finding out. She calls an entire meeting between elders, Jake, Neytiri, Mo’at, Norm, and Max to discuss how to break the bond. Some elders and Mo’at don’t think they should intervene at all, but Neytiri and Ronal are furious, deeply bothered by the idea that Eywa would allow a human to experience something as sacred as a mating bond. Neteyam is forced to attend this meeting, but Spider doesn’t because he’s not mentally well enough. Neteyam finally snaps at everyone after Jake, in an attempt to mediate, says that Neteyam will just stay away from Spider until the bond dissolves.
—————————————————————
“I won’t.”
Mo’at ears perk up in surprise at her grandson’s defiance. Neteyam has never been a child known to defy his parents anything; he was always obedient and respectful. His body shows no signs of anger, but his eyes hold contempt to a degree she has never seen. Jake and all the other elders in the hut also seem surprised by the boy’s refusal.
“Boy, -”
“Don’t call me that,” Neteyam snaps back, sitting up straighter against the hut’s wall and looking his father dead on, “Don’t treat me like a disrepectful child. Like I’m being unreasonable.”
Jake looks as though Neteyam had struck him, and for all it matters, he might as well have. Mo’at can see contempt in his eyes, and it seems to be verging on hate. Hate is something no son should feel toward their father. She wants to reach out to her grandson to stop him, comfort him even, to do anything to stop what she fears is coming, but she is frozen by that look in his eyes.
Neteyam stands, swaying a bit from the position change. He is still weak from being shot but strong enough to move with some assistance. He looks around the hut, first at his mother and then at the rest of them, his gaze falling directly on Ronal.
“You all stand here and judge me for my choices as if you know anything about me. And you judge Spider as if any of you even know him beyond him being human. You talk of controlling my future as if you are Eywa herself and I have had enough! I mated Spider, and it will remain that way!”
“Neteyam-” Jake moves towards his son, but he pushes Jake back.
“No! I have had enough of you!”
Everyone bulks at that. No Navi child has ever talked down to their parents; it simply doesn’t happen. Mo’at feels a familiar feeling of dread pool in her stomach. The look in Neteyam’s eyes has only grown darker.
“All my life, I have done nothing but obey you,” Neteyam speaks softly now, poking Jake in the chest before grabbing his war vest. “I have been nothing but be an obedient son, a protective brother, a perfect heir. Every rule you have given me, I have followed.” A tear falls from Neteyam’s eye, illuminated by the sunlight filtering through the hut’s ceiling. He looks like he’s rallying himself to speak again. Mo’at fears that whatever he says next will be the worst thing yet.
“And what has it gotten me?”
“I have no home. I can barely walk. Kiri has no friends. Lo’ak nearly died multiple times, and Tuk can barely sleep without nightmares. I followed you without complaint when you made me leave my home. I obeyed you when you ordered me not to go after Spider, and I trusted you when you said they would not hurt him. And now, he can barely speak! He cannot sleep, he cannot eat! I trusted you when you said he would be safe and he is a shell! I have no mate because of you!”
“I have done everything you have ever asked and it has gotten me NOTHING!”
“…I am done obeying you.”
Neteyam lets go of Jake’s vest with a finality that takes all the breath out of Mo’at lungs. His eyes no longer hold all the anger and contempt they once did, the tears he’s cried washing those emotions away in streaks down his face. Now his eyes just look empty. His gaze moves away from his father to the rest of the room.
“Spider is my mate. It is done. If you will not have us here, then we will go somewhere else.”
Mo’at wishes she could be proud of the level of emotions her normally reserved grandson is showing, but she cannot be. Neteyam is finally coming into his own at the cost of his relationship with his parents. How could she not have seen this coming?
———
Not my best but I got inspired from the scene in Outerbanks season 3 where Sarah yells at Ward for all the bad things he’s don’t and what she lost because of him and I think Neteyam and Jake dynamic would mirror theirs but in a less abusive way is he mated and refused to leave Spider behind.

Spider x Na'vi boys HC (SFW + NSFW)
Lo'ak - The passionate lover
Lo'ak tries to fight his attraction for Spider with Tsireya but fails spectacularly
He doesn't court him
Their relationship goes physical really, really fast - Lo'ak is not a romantic
He treats love like war - aggressive, impulsive and dedicated
He's obsessed with Spider's human body and Spider in general
He's dominant and extreme with a bit of a blood kink but he LOVES Spider so MUCH
He can't keep his hands off Spider - if he could, he'd spend his entire days fucking him
He only controls himself because Jake made it VERY clear that if he pushed Spider too much the consequences would be disastrous
His passion does have consequences on Spider's body but Spider barely ever says anything - even if he's hurt because he doesn't want to be a nuisance with his stupid human limits - until one day when he's reached all his limits and has to tell Norm that he needs help and Jake is FURIOUS at Lo'ak
They're together but they're not boyfriend material
Lo'ak calls him bro even during sex and it makes the whole thing kind of funny ("damn, bro, you feel so good, bro")
Their public display is extremely weird and confuses everyone
On one hand, Lo'ak's hands and lips are glued to the human - it's like he wants to mate with him on the sand (no, honestly, he can NEVER have enough of Spider's body, it's like a drug at that point) - and on the other hand, they have no romantic gestures or words for one another and treat each other like platonic besties, it's like "Bro" this and "Cuz" that - it makes Kiri roll her eyes at them all the time
But one day when someone asks Lo'ak when he's gonna start looking for a mate, Lo'ak is super confused and tells them he already has a mate and he looks at Spider who looks back at him like "Oh? So I do count?!" And Lo'ak realizes he never wants to be with anyone else than Spider
They mate in front of Eywa in the Forest to make it official
There, Lo'ak realizes that even though he can't make Tsaheylu with Spider, he can still connect his kuru to Spider's skin and feel him much more intimately
And he becomes obsessed with putting his kuru everywhere on (and inside ahem) Spider who isn't sure how he feels about his mate's new obsession
The night they mate in front of Eywa is the first time Lo'ak calls Spider with lover's names and is exceptionally slow and gentle, it's like he's discovering Spider's body for the first time ever and he worships him with everything he has
Spider is overwhelmed
Eywa blesses them that night
The next day, Spider can breathe the air without a mask
Lo'ak makes a stupid joke that it's thanks to the power of his dick
Spider rolls his eyes and laughs
Aonung - The persistent traditionalist
Aonung has no idea how he fell for that tawtute
But oh boy does he fall
It's probably the fierceness with which he defends his family
He's small and fragile looking but he has the spirit of a warrior and in spite of his appearance, he's very Na'vi
He bullies Kiri once and Spider puts him back in his place and Aonung is instantly smitten by his fire
He courts him in the very traditional sense of the Na'vi and Metkayina way
Spider is completely clueless at first and just thinks that Aonung is trying to bribe him or mock him or be weirdly nice
Lo'ak is the first to realize that Aonung is courting Spider and he's NOT happy about it (he's scared for his bro because Aonung is gigantic and Lo'ak knows how fragile human bodies are)
When Spider understands that Aonung is courting him, he's both completely shocked and freaked out, like he doesn't understand why AOUNUNG is courting him? A stupid human? And also... Aonung is male right? And male Na'vi... well... He's freaked out.
Jake is double freaked out (he's a former human and a marine and he knows that sex between males is... a struggle... so with a male Na'vi who is three times the size of his adopted son? Absolutely never!)
The adults try to end the courting and talk Aonung out of it
Aonung is completely clueless and doesn't understand the problem of him courting a tawtute, that's his choice so why is it so bad?
Completely out of nowhere, Neytiri yells that it's because Aonung is too big between his legs and the BIGGEST, most AWKWARD silence ensues
Aonung is determined to prove them wrong
He sets up a cute date with Spider at his shack
They have sex for the first time there and it's very, very sweet and gentle
Spider is ashamed of his body and tries to hide
But Aonung finds him magnificent and worships his body with his mouth for hours
They do have a talk about their future and what Spider can and cannot do as a human
Aonung is a passionate and selfless lover, he only wants to please Spider and make him feel good, he doesn't really care about his own body and needs
The first time they mate for real with Spider on the receiving end (because Spider is too small to top, Aonung's muscles are too powerful for him), it's a huge struggle for Spider and Aonung is completely freaked out, understanding that this kind of thing can only happen in extremely rare and very well prepared occasions
They both know their differences will bring difficulties and frustrations but they are determined to make it work and Aonung will back off at nothing - Spider is his mate
Rotxo- The gentle idealist
Of all the Na'vi boys, Rotxo is the most gentle and most tender
He falls in love with Spider naturally
Their relationship is the easiest one and the least physical one
They are intimate but it's not the core of their relationship
Rotxo is very mindful of his size difference and how dangerous he can be for Spider if he's not careful
He never wants to hurt him
They are domestic at heart
They complete and bring peace to one another
Neteyam (if he lived) - The broken repressed lover (thanks Neytiri) - DARK HC
Spider is the first person he fell in love with as a kid
Their relationship was very cute at first and they were very close
Until Neytiri started to push Neteyam away from Spider
She put anti human thoughts in his head and he began to see Spider as a demon and keep away from him
But his feelings for him never went away
His love grew but got poisoned with racial views and slowly mingled with hatred and self-disgust up to the point of no return
He wants Spider more than anything but he hates himself for wanting him so much
He's the perfect son, the perfect warrior, the perfect Na'vi
He's Neytiri's Golden Boy
But there's something dark inside him that festers with the years and Jake is the only one to see that something's wrong with his son - the perfect boy
Neteyam starts courting a Metkaynia but Jake sees that it's only for show and asks himself questions because there's something in his son's eyes he doesn't like - a strange glimmer - something fake
Neteyam only wants Spider and Spider, well, he loved Neteyam back as a child and was very hurt when his friend pushed away from him
Neteyam doesn't court Spider, he won't lower himself to court a tawtute
He just takes him and Spider lets himself be taken - it's kind of dubcon really and not a very pleasant moment for Spider (Neteyam makes 0 effort to be gentle for poor Spider's body)
He's a dark, dominant, abusive and sadistic lover - bordering on cruel, the perfect contrast to his public persona
Their relationship is toxic and horribly unhealthy
Neteyam thrives on hurting and humiliating Spider - he has a blood kink and enjoys telling Spider how pathetic he looks (even though he finds him so very beautiful - but he will never tell him that)
Their mating is violent and very dangerous for Spider
And since Spider hates himself for being human and for being unworthy of Neteyam, he takes all the pain and the humiliation Neteyam throws his way because he's convinced that's all he deserves - plus, Neteyam is paying attention to him so he'll take everything even if he ends up with his body destroyed for weeks
He has moments where he's sweet and gentle and it's very confusing for Spider
In those rare moments he's the Neteyam he would have been if Neytiri hadn't destroyed his mind with her anti human views - it's actually kind of sad
Spider cherishes those rare kisses and gentles touches
When Neteyam offers him a smile or a word of love, it makes him cry because he knows the moment will pass as soon as it came and he will be alone with the monster again
Ironically enough, the first person to see the bruises and the red spot on Spider's loincloth is Neytiri but she never really has the courage to investigate
The relationship ends badly - either Spider is stuck in a toxic relationship where he's basically a toy without any life of free will or Neteyam's sadistic folly takes over him and he kills this unwanted lover (honestly it can go really, really dark)
It's very possible he also ends his life with Spider (like an insane lover's suicide where he kills them both in a creepy romantic fashion) or right after killing him
When Jake and Neytiri finally realize how crazy Neteyam truly was and how horribly he treated Spider, let's just say that it's a shock...
Lo'ak and Kiri never forgive him
Neytiri questions herself and her education
So does Jake
Bonus: the only one who "knew" is Aonung (they had a quick fling before Aonung understands how insane the Sully's eldest son is and flees for his life) and when Aonung sees the cruelty with which he treats the human, he's appalled and instantly turned off - and he develops a sort of a sad crush for the poor human (honestly, that's a very awkward threesome)

think about a soulmate au in avatar where your soulmate can taste what you're eating and vise versa. i think it'd be adorable for nocorro. Spider takes a bite out of a freshly picked tomato and Neteyam, miles away in the Omatikaya camp, can't help but smile. Neteyam digs into dinner that same night and Spider stares up at the ceiling of his room with a smile of his own while foreign spices dance across his taste buds, there but not. they can't tell anyone they're soulmates, but that hardly matters when they have this. this little secret between them.
i think it'd also be a fun way for them to taste each other's foods.
what do you think @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie

NETEYAM X AONUNG X SPIDER
I saw someone say once it was nice their contexts and how they
Complete na'vi (aonung) + complete human(spider) + half na'vi (neteyam) I say their contexts because I think they could share their experiences in each other's context and learn from each other, for example aonung being a complete na'vi living with prejudice towards "demons" their parents, their tribe
Neteyam with jake, the scientists, and their brothers and the clear historical bias they have behind them being literally the only children between an avatar and a na'vi, lo'ak said they literally only saw the demon, they didn't see him, neteyam obviously sees and lives part of this, but to a lesser extent as he doesn't have 5 fingers and other characteristics of his brothers, and spider, a long story, with perhaps an inbuilt bias. A genocidal avatar father and the human of this also genocidal, living among humans, living in na'vi culture, literal being almost bicultural, has a great trauma and consequences
I want this couple to become more recognized with the right people, and I really want to talk about an "official" name for the couple, I'm against the context behind the names of ships where they put the "active" first or attribute the male role, leaving the passive or female role last or in the middle, using a stereotypical and sexual context, which seems to me that in certain groups of fandom or couples only contribute to fan groups, Mostly not LGBT or poly, keep fetishizing it and sometimes minimizing rol's fem:(
Personally I really like ship names with nicknames for example would be funny a combination of "monkey boy"+"fish lips" +" mighty warrior" as a clever word game with those nicknames, or a combination of cool names like spiri, aonunete
The monogamy variations of them seem nice to me, like the aocorro, nocorro, but they don't finish giving me that
This is just my opinion :) and the support I give to this couple, i have a fanfic of them in ao3 too

Ghost Spider 4
Through blood and tears, he may atone.
Jake was a strong man. He protected his family, he defended his people, he's fought in the worst war humanitys ever had. He has a purpose, and he served it exactly as he's supposed to.
Still, seeing a dead boy could send the strongest of men running scared.
He can see Spider sitting up in the tree. His legs are dangling over the branch, and he's peering at Jake over the ledge. He looks exactly like the last time he saw him, but his face....his expression carried this sense of disappointment that only a dead man could. Jake felt his entire body shiver.
"Jake." He said simply, voice echoing over the wind as it picked up. Grey clouds hung over his head, a sure sign of a storm rolling in.
"Spider, I..." he hesitated. What could he say? What words could soothe the gaping failure, physical evidence of his negligence in a 6 ft tall body? He couldn't tell if his rage came from grief or something else. From his expression, he figured he was more on the 'blind rage' part of the 'grieving his own death' cycle.
"I'm sorry." The words come easy, they always do. Meaningless, coming from him. He has to ask himself what he's apologising for: leaving him behind or telling the kids he'd be alright? It's meager, it's not enough, but it's all he can give at this point. What does a father say to an outcast? A dead man? What could he say that could soothe the phantom pains other than I'm sorry?
The clouds are getting darker by the second.
"I know." He says, softly, and there's this terrible resignation in his voice. He accepts, not because he forgives, but he's too tired to argue back. Just a second ago he seemed angry, so angry. But right now, the boy just looks tired. It reminds him of many years ago, when he found him sleeping on the ground outside their hut, back in the forest. He carried him back to his room while he slept soundly. He looked peaceful, so small in his arms.
He hoped that was what his death was like. He hoped someone held him while he went. He hoped someone was gentle with him. He hoped he was asleep during it, that it came and went like an unpleasant dream.
"Is there anything I could…do?" Is there anything I could've done? Was there any way for you to come back alive? Is there anything I could do to fix this? Many words go unsaid because they are both too much and too little.
Spider contemplated, head turned towards a stormy grey sky. "No." Distantly, lightning strikes.
"Are you okay?" He asks softly, daring enough to take a step forward. Spider's eyes drift downwards, this look of pure apathy on his face. It wasn't natural, apathy didn't come easy to anything Na'vi or Pandoran. It didn't come easy to Spider. The boy in question hesitates, before shaking his head. It swivels back and forth, like his neck might be broken. He curls in on himself, wrapping his hands around himself, trying to keep himself stable. His entire form seemed to shudder in and out of existence.
"No!" He shrieks, and lightning strikes closer. The roar of thunder sounds far away. He sobs, and wretches, and shrieks, and the sky screams with him.
He walks over, now standing right at the base of the tree. Trees in Awa'atlu are different from home, smaller with thinner leaves. He doesn't know if the spindly branches could handle Spider's weight, but he supposed there's no need to worry about that now. Or ever.
He reached out his hand towards the boy, just managing to brush against his bare skin. It's warm and real beneath his fingertips, but the touch sends electricity through him. He pulls away, likes he's been burned, even as Spider reaches out to him. He recognizes what Jake did, considers it for a second, before curling back in on himself. Heavy droplets of water began raining down on them, the tide building itself high and smashing down onto the shore.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" He stammers, more like wails. Jake's at a loss. "No, no, it wasn't your fault, I'm fine! See–, see, I'm fine!" He shows his hands to him, like that'd help.
"I don't know what's wrong!" He cries, "I keep hurting people!" Jake doesn't know what that means, but at the same time, he does. He knows what reaching out and burning people with your fingertips feels like, he knows what grasping at straws feels like, and now he knows what trying to touch death feels like. It feels like lightning.
"You didn't hurt me." He insists. "You didn't, Spider, you didn't do anything wrong."
He reaches out again, both hands this time. The boy shrinks away from himself, trying to make himself even smaller. He ignores this in favour of placing his hands near the boy's hips and lifting him out of the tree. Already, lightning shoots through his body; every nerve starts to burn. He pulls him closer to him, hands supporting his back as he lay his head in the crook of his neck. He holds him like a father, like he held Kiri, Neteyam, Lo'ak and Tuk. He ignores the fire spreading through his body and imagines it was warmth.
"I'm sorry, Spider, I'm so sorry." He whispers against his skin, like a worthless prayer to a God that no one is sure even exists. Because if humanity's father was real, and he did love them, then why is Spider like this? Why won't he hold them like Eywa did? Why won't Eywa hold Spider? Does he burn her too?
He will hold Spider. He can ignore the burn.
He sinks to the ground, adjusting Spider so he's still comfortable. As the wind and sea rage on, almost crying out for the small boy in unison, he barely registered the cold that came with the storm. The crack and boom of lightning and thunder sounded close, like it was going on right next to him, like it could strike him. He thinks that if it would strike him, it would hurt. He hopes it will.
Jake has never been religious. You sorta give up on faith when you wake up to death and disease on your doorstep every day. He didn't get the dietary restrictions aspect of it, or the rules, but there was one part of religion and worship he understood; atonement. Paying for your crimes, and paying with blood and tears. Dollars and gold meant nothing to their apparent father, suffering did. It was easier to suffer than to try and be better. In his case, it was too late to be better.
Black clouds lightened into grey. Rain stopped feeling like tiny sharps of ice hailing down on him.
"....Thank you." Spider says, voice concealed by wind and thunder. "You're welcome."
And just like that, Spider disappears. Not like seafoam, like how his son had described it.  No, he disappeared like sand, crumbling in the wind, like he'd never been real nor there in the first place.
____
It is when Neytiri lays eyes on him that he realises something. She rushes over, frantic, and before he knows it, he's in front of Ronal. The 2 are inspecting his body, asking questions, worried. He looks down at his hands. He recognizes the marks, remembers them from the time Tommy was alive. His brother told him about them as a cool little fact, nothing important.
They were called Lichtenstein scars. He thinks he deserves them.
____
Sorry for the bible refs, i will be making a seperate fic so the excitement is kinda leaking through =/. Its only based on Christianity because i had to study the bible for like 6 or 8 years of my life and I'll be damned if i dont put it to use
Also, paying for your crimes by suffering or atoning for them by actually doing better?? Which one we feelin fellas

The next seven days were torture for Spider, constantly walking around with his cock encased in rings of metal, and urethra filled with hollow rubber, and two pretty locks keeping them in place. Every movement caused him to rub against the bars of his cage, and no matter what Spider did, he couldn’t ignore the rubber tube leading into his bladder. He also had to learn better time management, having to run to his mate every time his bladder became full. Yet, as Spider went about his day, he couldn’t stop himself from hardening, his cock pushing the boundaries of the cage, which kept him small. Leading us to now.
“Ma’Syulang, please, I need to go! Please, you can’t leave me in this,” Spider was on his knees begging (Y/N), his arms wrapped around your thigh.
You sigh and shake your head at him, “Yawne, I would help you if I could, but I’ve already handed your key over.”
Spider’s eyes were wet as he continued to beg, “What do you mean handed it over? Why do you not have it? Please, Syulang, I can't wait!” His voice was becoming high in panic.
You chuckle at his pitiful attempts; you hold his face gently, your large thumb caressing his cheek, “Thankfully, there’s a very willing Sully who’s volunteered his time to help you with your little problem. He will hold your key for the hunting trip,” your smirk was gentle as if you told him something amazing.
Spider’s face paled, “Sully?” His voice was little more than a whisper, “Which one? Why?” The questions tumbled from his lips, and his brow furrowed.
You simply smile at him, cooing sweetly at him, “You don’t need to worry about that. He’s been interested in you for a while and was more than happy to help out. I even gave him some tools for the trip,” You let go of his face, stepping back, “Now go head out; they’re already waiting for you.” You give Spider a small farewell kiss before walking away. Leaving Spider in place, contemplating what’s to come.
Spider made the trek to the hunter's meeting place at a snail's pace. Anxious about who’s holding his key. Names circled in his head as he walked, but even with the anxiety in his chest, lust warmed his loins. The thought that a strong Na’vi man was interested in him and had been for a while now wanted him. A Sully. The most powerful men in the clan. Men he’s known his life, and one of them wanted him. Spider’s cock twitched inside his cage; the thought of a strong man taking control of him and using his body made his blood pool into his cock. The metal bars dug into him. Spider bit his lip, trying to hold back a moan.
“What’s taking you so long, ‘cuz?” Lo’ak asks, seemingly appearing from nowhere.
“I- well, I- um, was held up with (Y/N),” Spider managed to stutter out, but he kept an eye on Lo’ak, looking at him differently.
Lo’ak threw his head back as he laughed, “Damn, you two can never take your hands off each other. I guess you needed one more round before leaving?” Lo’ak pushed at Spider’s shoulder as he walked on, “Come on, bro, it's just three days; you’ll be reunited with the love of your life soon,” Lo’ak rolled his eyes.
Spider watched Lo’ak before getting out, “Yeah, it’s a quick trip.”
Lo’ak looked back, his brow creased, weirded out by Spider’s odd behavior. Typically, Spider would snark back about how Lo’ak was just jealous that he was all alone, or he would make a comment about Lo’ak having a dry spell; it was very odd that Spider didn’t comment more.
Lo’ak moved over, bedding close to Spider, “You okay, bro?”
Spider nearly stumbled over his feet, backing away, “Yeah, I’m fine,” He coughed out, but the blush on his face told Lo’ak a different story.
“Yo, if you’re not feeling good, you should head back,” Lo’ak stepped closer, trying to get a better look at Spider’s face.
In Spider’s panic, he blurted out the first thing that came to mind, “(Y/N) and I had some swoa! We wanted a drink before we left!” Spider internally cursed himself for the lame excuse.
Lo’ak leaned back as his eyes went wide, “Bro! You’re drunk? If my dad finds out, he’ll skin you!”
Spider waved him off, “I’m not drunk, just a little buzzed; I’ll be fine by the time we get there,” Spider’s heart started to calm as Lo’ak believed his lie, as he came to the conclusion that it wasn’t Lo’ak, he’s not that great of lier,  “Don’t worry. I’ll be fine by the time we get there.”
Lo’ak looked at him disgruntled, “If you’re sure,” before he turned and started to walk away.
Spider breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn’t his best friend. Because while it would be hot, Spider had no desire to change their friendship.
A wince slipped past his lips as he placed a hand over his navel, his bladder swollen and sore, and without being able to go, it would only build. Each step shifted his full bladder, causing a bruising pain as he continued to make his way to the warrior's gathering.
Thankfully, it wasn’t far from there. A group of 20 or so warriors were loading their pa’li, others chatting excitedly while the rest discussed the plan near the center. And there was Jake, in the center of its call, going over the recent herd's location and where they usually head off to. Jake stood there imposing; each muscle seemed to be more pronounced than usual, and his sanhì were glowing, enhancing his features. Spider’s heart sped at the sight of Jake, but Spider must check in with Jake if he was to go. So, swallowing the lump in his throat, he slowly made his way over. Spider bit his lip to stop any noises from coming through, as his bladder loudly protested each movement.
Jake’s head rose, spotting Spider, a soft smile gracing his face.
“Good to see you made it, boy,” Jake commented easily, his body relaxed as he looked Spider over.
Spider cleared his throat, trying to swallow the lump that keeps returning, “Glad to be here, Sir,” His voice was mostly steady, but Jake had already noticed.
Jake’s brow furrowed as he took another look at Spider, quickly noticing that he was acting odd, shifting from side to side, his face creased uncomfortably, his breath quickened, and he was even looking around erratically.
Jake walked closer to Spider, placing his large hand on his shoulder, “Spider, somethin’ going on?”
Spider’s pulse raced beneath his skin as his brain stuttered to a stop, “Y-yeah. No! No, nothing is wrong!” His facade failed.
Jake’s posture became firm as he leaned closer to Spider, “What’s going on? Are you injured? Is something wrong with (Y/N)?” He asked sternly, but concern showed through his eyes.
“No, I’m fine! Nothing is wrong with (Y/N)! She’s doing great, actually!” Spider shifted uncomfortably, unable to meet Jake’s eyes.
“I’m not stupid; I can see something is bothering you. And I can’t have distractions on this trip, so either spill or head back,” Jake left no room for argument.
Spider felt dizzy as he racked his brain. None of the excuses would work with Jake, so instead, he blurted out, “(Y/N) is pregnant!” Before slapping a hand over his mouth, knowing that (Y/N) wanted to announce it properly to the clan.
Jake’s eyes widened as he heard the news before a smile crossed his features. “Congratulations, Spider,” Jake said, shaking his shoulder a bit. “I can see why you’re a little off. Becoming a first-time parent is an amazing but shocking thing. Has (Y/N) Gone to see Mo’at yet?”
All the questions bombarded Spider, but Jake’s actions didn’t seem to have a second nature to them, so Spider slowly removed his hand, “It’s been a bit crazy; we only noticed her slit was sealing this morning, and she wants to wait for us to both go, so she hasn’t gone to Mo’at yet,” He relayed, slightly relieved, although still cautious of Jake.
The rumbling chuckle from Jake was soothing to Spider; it was the same one that is only reserved for his children, “I’ll admit I’m surprised you’re here then. Neytiri had to chase me with her bow before backing off when she became pregnant with Neteyam,” his voice was gleeful as he reminisces old times.
Spider laughed awkwardly, “(Y/N) didn’t give me a choice,” Thinking about where the key could be.
Jake threw his head back and laughed, “That sounds about right; welcome to the life with a stubborn mate. I wish you luck, boy,” With one last squeeze to Spider’s shoulder, Jake backed off.
“Thank you, Sir,” Spider chuckled slightly uneasily.
Jake gestured into the woods, “Neteyam’s looking for you; he said he has something that's yours.”
The words crashed over Spider, filling him with heat and embarrassment, “I-I’ll go find him then,” Before he scurried away, leaving behind a confused Jake.
Spider continued deeper into the jungle until the hunting party could no longer be heard. Spider continued to walk, unsure of how far he should go. His heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. His hands were clammy as he chewed his lip, but by Eywa, he was turned on. Neteyam the perfect soldier. Neteyam is the kindest and most helpful Na’vi. Neteyam who is training to take his father's position as Olo’eyktan. And Neteyam wants Spider, has wanted Spider for a while now. Spider’s cock twitched in its cage, warring the insistent need of his bladder. Eager and anxious for the events to come.
Until finally, in the distance, Spider spots Neteyam further in the woods. The moonlight glowing delicately on his skin and his sanhì illuminating his form outline his body beautifully. Neteyam looked ethereal. Spider’s voice stopped in its tracks, a lump stuck in his throat as he stood there, hypnotized by Neteyam.
Slowly, Neteyam’s hand rose, a small glittering key in his hand, before he slowly turned to face Spider, a gentle smile on his face, “Looking for this Sevin?” His voice was gentle.
Spider’s lifted to the glittering key above Neteyam’s head before his eyes focused themselves back on Neteyam’s green eyes; they seemed to glow in the dark. Spider’s mouth gaped as he tried to talk, only able to nod dumbly.
Thankfully, Neteyam seemed amused by this, as seen by his deep chuckle, “Then come here, Sevin,” Neteyam’s free arm was held out for Spider.
Spider’s legs felt like jello as he slowly made his way over, his eyes unable to break away from Neteyam’s gaze. Just as Spider stood in front of Neteyam, he grabbed Spider by the waist, pulling him in close to his chest.
“Neteyam!” Spider gasped as his cheek rested against Neteyam’s bare stomach.
“Shhhh,” Neteyam tapped his finger under Spider’s chin, “Pretty things shouldn’t speak so much.”
Spider shut his mouth, both at the unspoken order and the surprise at Neteyam’s boldness.
Neteyam’s finger traveled over his face, nose, and eyes before lingering on his lips, feeling the plushness of them. His finger was joined by the rest of his hand, cupping Spider’s jaw and forcing Spider to look high up at Neteyam, the key resting just out of sight.
Neteyam bent his face close to Spider’s ear, his breath ticking him, “Your mate was very generous to both you and me. You see, without me, you wouldn’t have been able to come on this little hunting party. And when I offered to help you with your problem, she gave me the key and said that my payment was you,” His voice was soothing, but glee could be heard underneath it. “I wasn’t expecting a payment, let alone a bag of tools I can use on you. And trust me, Spider, by the end of his trip, every single one will be used on you.”
Spider’s cock twitched as a moan ripped from his lips.
“Happy, Sevin? Good, because as a rule, you must play with me, surrender your body every time that you want to release that bladder of yours,” The hand wrapped around Spider’s waist traveled a little lower, placing his hand on Spider’s full bladder; the skin taunt and swollen, “As another rule, when we are together alone you will not speak unless spoken to, if I do speak to you it is always ‘Yes, Sir,’ otherwise the only things I want to hear out of your mouth are the sounds of pleasure, and the occasional pain” Neteyam’s grin was sweet, but you could see the sinister ideas lurking underneath.
Neteyam’s hand pressed firmer on Spider’s bladder, “Understood, Sevin?”
Spider whined at the additional pressure, his cock still confused if it wanted to attempt to harden or not, “Yes, Sir,” His voice was breathless.
Neteyam's voice was a deep purr, “Perfect, now rid of your tewng; I want to see that I get to play with.”
Neteyam released his hold on Spider, stepping away while playing with the tiny key, eager for the show.
Spider faltered for a second, used to Neteyam holding him in place. As he righted himself, Spider slowly slid his hands down to the straps of his tewng. He fumbled with the course material as his fingers refused to cooperate. As soon as the straps were untied, Spider hesitated before he dropped it to the ground, exposing himself, and his caged cock shone in the moonlight.
Neteyam squinted at Spider’s cock encased in metal, “I forgot that a tawtute genitals are outside their body all the time… It's interesting…” Neteyam mused, cocking his head to the side, “It is quite small, isn’t it?”
Spider’s breath hitched as his face became red, his though rubbing together, failing to hide his cock.
Neteyam’s face became a bit darker, “I asked you a question, tawtute,” his voice was stern.
A whimper was pulled from Spider’s lips, “Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir,” Spider nodded his head.
The dark look eased off of Neteyam’s face as if it was never there, “I knew you could learn quickly. Now I believe I asked you if your cock is small? I personally have never seen one so small.”
Warm spread over Spider’s cheeks and down his chest before he managed out, “I-I’m properly sized.”
Neteyam chuckles as he walks closer, bringing his pinky smallest finger next to Spider’s cock, showing that it's smaller than his finger, “Try again, tawtute.”
“I-I mean, I’m,” Spider gulped, trying to sit out his words.
“Tiny, the most pathetic cock I’ve seen,” Neteyam hummed, his smallest finger moving the cage with disinterest, “Now you say it.”
Spider wheezed as he tried to speak, and tears began to prick at his eyes, “M-m-my cock-”
“No, tawtute,” Neteyam cut him off, “It’s not a cock; it’s far too small to be one; I remember my father told me about a different part of the tawtute body.” He paused for a moment, thinking, “Oh yes! You have a clit!” Neteyam finished excitedly, “Now try again, tawtute.”
A lone tear slid down Spider’s cheek, “I, my, I am so, sm-small, that I have, I have a clit,” More tears followed the first one as the humiliation built.
“Such a good tawtute. Now that you know how useless your clit is, I want to see what I came to play for,” Neteyam grabbed Spider by the hips and lifted him effortlessly. He carried him over to a large bolder, the top of which was near Neteyam’s chest, and placed Spider on his hands and knees on the flat top. “This is what I came for,” He answered, running a lone finger over Spider’s exposed asshole.
“What? Sir?” Spider gasped at the warm finger over such a sensitive place.
“What? Your clit isn’t much use to me; this is where I get my fun from,” Neteyam commented as he placed more pressure on the furrowed bud.
“Ah!” Spider whined at the pressure.
Neteyam’s hand left Spider as he walked to a nearby tree, taking out a satchel before walking back, “Hold yourself open for me, tawtute.”
Despite the shame, Spider bent over further, resting on his chest, as he reached around and grabbed both of his ass cheeks, pulling them apart for Neteyam’s gaze.
“What a beautiful sight, a tawtute does as they're told. Showing off their cunt, because that’s all they’re good for.”Neteyam began as he reached into the bag, pulling out a container of lube.
Spider bit his lip, hating but loving the filthy words that came from Neteyam’s mouth, his cock straining in its cage.
Neteyam popped the cap off the lube, placing a generous amount directly onto Spider’s ass. The coldness startled him as the slick substance ran down his ass and over his balls. The gasp turned into a moan as Neteyam’s finger returned, rubbing at his hole.
“I never understood how a well-respected Omatikaya such as (Y/N) could have gone so low as to mate with a tawtute; no matter how close you are to my family, at the end of the day, you’re useless as a mate,” Neteyam spoke his harsh words as the simple facts they are, as he slowly started to apply pressure to Spider’s hole, “So I began to watch you more closely, seeing how you did as a mate. And wasn’t I surprised when I saw you on your knees for the first time, begging (Y/N) to let you cum. You weren't even in this cage, yet there you were, begging like a good tawtute,” Neteyam explained as he slipped his finger inside.
“Oh!” Spider moaned, ensuring he didn’t utter a word as Neteyam had ordered. The fullness that Neteyam’s single finger brought was immense; his finger was equivalent to two of (Y/N)s and much longer, traveling deeper into Spider.
“Ever since then, I would look for you two, watching how you acted in public, and when I could catch you alone, seeing how you obeyed so willingly, I knew I needed you for myself, but I couldn’t step on (Y/N) toes, no I would never touch her tawtute without permission,” Neteyam started to wiggle around and twist his finger, causing Spider to clench around the digit, straining his bladder even more, and a whimper left his lips.
Emboldened by Spider’s response, Neteyam slicked up another finger, “Of course, I wasn’t able to stalk you two for long without (Y/N) noticing. Thankfully, she was agreeable, letting me watch closer from the sidelines; she even let me choose some of your punishments. The day she gave the key, I knew I couldn’t say no,” Neteyam slipped another finger inside, stretching Spider’s rim wide, “The opportunity to play with your body whenever I pleased but just too tempting to ignore,” Neteyam’s voice lowered.
Spider continued to whine as his ass was stretched, the fingers sliding in and out with ease from the lube, and Neteyam’s fingers continued to avoid the spot he needed them on as if he knew they were there. Spider wiggled his hips as he held himself open more, his fingers digging into the flesh, undoubtedly leaving marks there for tomorrow.
“And what a reward it is; you didn’t even ask for the key. No,” Neteyam scoffs, amused, “you present your ass to me like a dirty slut,” Neteyam finally gives Spider what he was looking for as he presses on Spider’s prostate.
Spider’s hips snapped up as he mewled from the touch, the feeling going straight to his cock. His cock was trapped in the metal, unable to harden anymore and unable to drip precum as he wished; the tube blocking his urethra was snug and sealed.
“No, you didn’t even question it; question your mate as she gave you to me; you didn’t question me as I demanded your body. Such a perfect slut,” Neteyam’s fingers continue to roughly grind at Spider’s prostate, refusing to let up on the pleasure.
“Ah! Ah! AH!” Spider continued to moan aimlessly as his eyes started to cross.
“It’s going to be a long road before you’ll be trained enough for me, but don’t worry, I’ll get you there,” Neteyam moaned, the feeling of Spider’s slick walls clenching around his fingers, wishing it was his cock. Neteyam removed his fingers and spat into the small opening it made, letting the glob slide into Spider’s hole before using his fingers to push it in deeper.
Spider couldn’t control his hips, rocking them onto Neteyam’s fingers as his legs started to shake.
“Look at that slut,” Neteyam moaned, “You’re fucking yourself on my fingers,” He made sure to hit Spier’s prostate each time, but otherwise let Spider do all the work.
Mewls, whines, and moans continued to leave Spider’s lips as the coil built inside him, eagerly rocking his ass back onto Neteyam’s fingers, chasing the feeling of being fucked so shamefully.
“Tell me, tawtute, are you going to cum?” Neteyam groaned as he placed a large hand on Spider’s back, feeling oddly wet.
“Yes, Sir, I’m gonna cum, I’m gonna cum!” He shouted as the feeling of warmth overtook him, slow and warm as molasses, his cock twitching uselessly as he couldn’t ejaculate properly, leaving Spider to whimper and whine as he continued to fuck himself on Neteyam’s fingers, trying to chase the feelings of actually cumming.
Neteyam removed his fingers roughly, looking at the small gape that was left, “I don’t believe I gave you permission,” His voice was dark, and a low growl mixed in with it.
But Spider didn’t notice, too lost in the feelings of his ruined orgasm. But he did notice when Neteyam’s open hand smashed his hanging testicles. Spider’s eyes popped open wide as he screamed his pain. Neteyam did it once more, then twice, then thrice, each time Spider’s scream rang through the jungle, as his balls became bruised and swollen.
Neteyam then grabbed the back of Spider’s hair, pulling roughly, straining Spider’s neck, and growled into his ear, “You never cum without permission. Understand, slut?”
Spider nodded, his face covered in tears, and sobs left his lips.
Displeased with Spider’s lack of response, he hit his balls again, and Spider screamed once more time as he rolled his hips, a moan following soon after.
Neteyam let go of Spider’s hair as he stood there dumbly, “Did you just fucking cum again?”
“Y-y-ye-yes, S-sir, s-s-s-soo-soorry, S-s-ir,” He sobbed as more waves of pleasure mixed with his pain.
Neteyam blanked once he realized that pain wouldn’t teach Spider anything until something more sinister popped into his mind. He searched the satchel again, quickly finding what he was looking for. A metal plug the width of two of Neteyam’s fingers and the attachments to go with it. Spitting once more on Spider’s ass, he placed the plug at Spider’s rim and slowly pushed in. Spider was too fucked out to do anything but whine softly as it popped past his rim and was swallowed hole, his rim closing around it, leaving only the base exposed.
“Ohhhh,” Spider moaned as he was filled again.
Neteyam took a thin bar that was thick on one end and pushed it through a small hole in the base of the plug and led it through, letting it come out the other side, next to an attachment on the back side of the cock cage. The thick end stopped it from going all the way through, as the thin end lined up with the cage mechanism, and Neteyam slipped another lock in place. The buttplug now being locking inside Spider.
Neteyam pat Spider’s ass, “There we go, up now,” Neteyam then grabbed Spider by the waist and lifted him back to the ground on unsteady feet. The plug rubbed at his insides.
Spider looked at Neteyam, confused and then worried, as he saw a second key had been added on.
Neteyam was smug as he looked down at Spider, “I know you love your pleasure so much, so I decided to lock that plug in your ass. Aren’t I nice? You should thank me for helping you out.”
Realizing the shit he was in, Spider quickly agreed, “Thank you, Sir,” Unable to believe he now has another consequence to deal with.
Neteyam’s grin turned predatory, “This should be a good reminder for you,” He then thumbed to the first key, the one that would finally let him relieve his bladder, “Now a deal is a deal, walk to me, and I’ll let you go,” Neteyam offered to wait for Spider to walk to him.
Spider slowly shifted his feet, feeling the thick heavy plug in his ass and his swollen, bruised balls between his legs, the pain mixed with pleasure was immense, but Spider soon realized…
He wouldn’t change it for the world.

idk if you like this ship, but Nocorro headcanons?
Hi sorry for the delay, I went on a Nocorro tail spin for this
Neteyam hides his feelings for Spider when they're young because he is worried about his moms feelings but has always been gentle with him and secretly enjoyed his company
They got along but just weren't overly close
Spider always was jealous of Neteyam for being everything he couldn't be - Na'vi, loved, strong, respected, etc. But always admired him just as much
Their relationship would start secret - on the downlow for the sake of their own anxieties - and would start due to their common denominator - Lo'ak
As his big brother and his best friend respectively, they always seemed to be the ones at the end of his messes. For Neteyam, it was cleaning them up or talking him out of it and for Spider, it was tagging along before inevitably just trying to keep them both alive
It's my thought that Lo'ak is the one that considers Spider's humanity the least and sees him the most as just Spider, even moreso than Kiri, and so he accidentally gets him hurt a fair amount - hence, Neteyam has to patch him up
This time is where they bond a lot - venting, mocking one another, but also eventually devolving into the fear, insecurity, etc they each feel
They would be the couple that goes through all of the 'new' stuff (i.e the awkward and honeymoon phases) by themselves while no one knows yet about their relationship so that by the time they get together publicly, everyone thinks of them as the old married couple of sorts
They equal one another out in a lot of ways and meet one another's insecurities - each is everything the other wants with the added consequences they didn't see coming
While it takes vulnerability that neither is prepared for, they come to be the same space for one another they each need and become a big part in one another's healing
They're both emotional protectors to the other as no one ever filled the roles for them and for once, they both get to be someone's priority
Its the story of the oldest son and forgotten child
They're two sides of the same beat up coin
Neteyam is protective and takes after his mom in being a guardian but is more reserved and takes social cues into account - he is aware of his mates vulnerability and protects in a lot like how his parents do - meanwhile, Spider is just fucking feral
It takes a long time to teach Spider that he can't just go in like he has nothing to lose - there's a lot of self-worth arguments
However, this comes to head with neither being sure where they stand to announce the relationship. I imagine it wouldn't come out until it had to
in canon, this is the RDA capturing Spider
The RDA taking Spider is what ends with their relationship becoming public
Neteyam has to see his parents as mortal and imperfect while Spider is faced with the doubts on his self-worth and position in the family
Neither knows how to proceed but they fight like hell with something more to fight for than the original canon offers
Neteyam loses it when Spider is taken, he goes feral, fighting with all of Neytiri's spirit, and relies heavily on his parents and the childish belief that they can somehow fix it
I don't think he would realize there's no fixing it until they're with the Metkayina and Ao'nung is courting him
He would lose it, acting more and more like Lo'ak while being lost in his own internal whirlpool of self-doubts and questioning
If war didn't make him grow up then this does
He doesn't think he'll get Spider back until he sees him on the deck but at this point, he's just blindly following Jake - he's unanchored and confused and it is still Lo'ak who ultimately is the reason Spider comes home
As for his fate, I think Spider would have been closer to him. Neteyam would have grabbed him on instinct and been ducking lower to guard the more vulnerable of the two and missed the shot
Them getting home is like recovering from a breakup though
Spider spent the months more convinced than ever that he is unwanted and left astray
But he is also more aware of the emotional manipulation and more at peace with his dynamic with the Sullys so Quaritch doesn't have as much success with him
Despite his doubts festering, it's a sort of resignation that the things they felt for him isn't enough - not that they don't exist
Neteyam would have given him hope that he is a part of the family and made him feel something worth cherishing
Then the RDA comes and it's the resignation that everything is over and he's not going home
He's a lot more grim here
But the upside is that Nocorro is a lot of healing
They're with the Metkayina and helping one another remember their value - Spider in the family and Neteyam as his own person
They both need to be reminded that they're worthy of loving and that's what the months following ATWOW is filled with
Consequently, it's also how the duo become legitimate threats to the RDA
The protective rage they both feel with what was taken from them means they're ruthless - they become a lot more empowered to protect their homes and focus on building some place safe for their family
Ultimately they are a very love and family driven couple with the other slowly becoming their other half, they operate like an extension of themselves with a level of understanding no one else would have
Post-war would take a long time for them to settle but I think they both have similar desires again in just having a loving, safe place for their family to grow and to heal together
Honestly this couple is just very soft and very old married couple, like think the gays from The Last of Us that die together bro

Family's dinners in the secret mated au must be though
Neteyam: me and Spider have a date Wednesday night.
Neytiri: you went on a date not even 2 days ago!
Neteyam: is non of your business how much we go on date nights!
Lo'ak: mom calm down, they must be really horn-
Neteyam: DON'T YOU DARE FINISH THAT SENTENCE
Tuk: what was he about to say?!
Kiri: you guys are chaos, just chaos!
Spider: this soup is nice Mr sully
Jake: thanks Spider.
This doesn't seem like a secret at fucking all, it's just right out there.
But also you are 100% right. I imagine Spider loves family drama because he's involved now, and he secretly lOVES being at family dinners with everyone while Neteyam just wants to be alone with Spider lol.
Neytiri: WE NEVER SEE YOU ANYMORE.
Neteyam: IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY PRIVACY IN THIS MAURI.
Jake: So, this time tomorrow, Spider? I'd love to have a chance to talk about tomorrow's hunting party.
Spider: I look forward to it. I have some thoughts.

I love 5+1 prompts, and apparently, so did y'all so here are some more with a focus on Nocorro.
Spider is about a foot shorter than Neteyam, which causes the taller boy to bend down frequently to interact with the boy. 5 times Neteyam complained about back pain that he should not have for a 15-year-old and the 1 time he and Spider figured out a way around him having to bend down.
(Inspired by a TikTok where everyone acknowledged that Spider has the ultimate rizz) 5 times Neteyam has to suffer in silence through Spider’s new flavor of the month, and the 1 time he snaps.
Everyone in the Omatikaya/Metkayina group is coupled up (Spider+Neteyam, Lo’ak+Tsireya, and Ao’nung+Roxto), leaving poor Kiri as the third wheel often. 5 times Spider tries (and fails) to set Kiri up, and the 1 time his matchmaking plans finally work.
5 times Spider risked suffocating to give Neteyam a kiss outside, and 1 time he’s too slow putting his mask back on - AU where Spider can breathe Pandora’s air and finds out by being an absolute idiot.
5 courting gifts exchanged between Spider and Neteyam before their mating ceremony, and the 1 gift given to them by their family.
5 times Neteyam breaks his parents’ rule of no flying with a partner and takes Spider on a flight as a date, and the 1 time they get caught.
Na’vi and Humans are very different in many ways. 5 times Neteyam and Spider freaked each other out due to their physical difference and the 1 time they found something in common.
(Modern AU) After getting adopted by Dr. Ian Gavin and moving to Awa’ulta to live in a marine biology research lab, Spider can only communicate with the Sullys at certain times because of spotty cell services and electricity. 5 times Spider gets cut off before Neteyam can tell him that he loves him, and the 1 time Spider finally hears him.
(AU where Tsu’tey adopts Spider) 5 times Tsu’tey refuses to give Neteyam his blessing to mate Spider because Neteyam won’t court him publicly, and the 1 time Neteyam throws caution to the wind and makes sure everyone knows how much he loves Spider.
(Post ATWOW) 5 things about Spider and Neteyam’s relationship that change after Spider’s rescue and Neteyam being shot and 1 thing that stays the same.
(AU where Quaritch gets custody of teenage Spider) 5 times Neteyam has to sneak either in or out of Spider’s house when Quaritch is there, and the 1 time they get caught.
(College AU) 5 times Neteyam mentions Spider in passing to his family while away at college and the 1 time they finally meet him face to face.

Crazy Spider origin HC
So, we all know Kiri is like probably Eywa's kid, right.
BUT!
What if she was the reincarnation of Eywa herself, the Goddess of Light and Life. And Spider is the reincarnation of her long lost twin brother, Jergal, the God of Death and Destruction.
Everyone remembers Eywa but they all forgot Jergal
And yet Jergal is equally important and even more powerful that his twin sister
The first to make the connection is Mo'At
Spider, a lonely human child who was able to survive all those years in the Pandorian forest... it doesn't make any sense
And slowly, she puts two and two together and finds old drawing of the God of Death and she understands
But Jergal hasn't been forgotten by them all and is actually still worshipped by the Ash Clan and Arctic Na'vi and they want their God and maker to return
In the meantime, Spider starts developping powers he doesn't understands and he has... visions of a strange man with golden skin, raven wings and black horns
Honestly, God!Spider could have so much potential! Add a bit of Nocorro, Locorro or Aocorro in the mix and you have the perfect deal!
