Kinda freaking out about the parallels where Jang Uk points his sword at the Crown Prince and the differences between them.

So in the first one, they'd been fighting. They're more immature here. Jang Uk just unsheathed his dad's sword for the first time. He's unsure and confused and slightly panicking as his arm moves against his will to point his sword at the Crown Prince. And the Crown Prince reacts with fear, stepping back as he looks at the blade in shock. Eunuch Oh shouts in anger at Jang Uk. "How dare you point your sword at the prince!"

Now in the second one, we've been told that three years have passed. They're grown up and have matured more after all the trauma that happened before. This time, Jang Uk's eye's are filled with hate and rage. This time, when he lifts his sword, it's with conviction. And the Crown Prince does not flinch. In fact, he steps closer so that the sword is right at his neck as he tries to talk to Jang Uk, to try to calm him. "I know you're in pain, that your sword holds your grief and anger."

And I'm screaming bc in the first one, when Jang Uk accidentally tries to kill the Crown Prince, he dodges. Will it be different the second time around?

unfortunately, i didn’t have time to write that much of hmc today, but i still made a few hundred words’ progress, which is decent enough.

#it’s the consistency of working on it daily which is the most important thing #as wonderful as it is to write around 1k words a day i inevitably won’t be able to do that all the time #so as long as i do at least a few hundred words like today when i’m short on time i’m content #the moment i stop doing small chunks a day and start doing large bursts separated by larger breaks… #that’s when it falls apart #and that is not happening with this fic #i forbid it #au: general’s flying ship #maybe to make up for it i’ll try and write 1.35k words tomorrow and 1.35k words the day after #to average out to the 700 i didn’t manage to do today

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways
