i used to adore having a flowy, shapey, simple cartoony style. yall could probably tell i had a really fun time drawing in that style! but as i tried applying to animation studios and started getting critiques by professionals, i got...super turned off from it. basically someone told me i needed to scrap the entire style, move away from the stephen silver influence completely, and do something totally different if i wanted to land a job and get noticed. and that was when i tried to move away from it into a less cartoony, more detailed art style

it left a bad taste in my mouth i think. i felt like the style that i had so much fun drawing in was tainted somehow, and i shouldnt use it anymore.

dont get me wrong, i love every style i currently draw in! im actually a huge huge fan of my 2015/2016 art style, and it was definitely not as cartoony as the stephen silver-esque style i used for a long time. im kind of usually trying to recreate it nowadays, especially after the critiques.

but that doesnt take away from the fact that the simple cartoony style made me very happy before all this. i had so much fun turning anime characters into saturday morning (western) cartoons. i had so much fun figuring out what shapes fit each character. and i guess i Could still make my current main style more shapey, but it feels...different?

i guess im just sad about it. i miss having so much fun as a simple cartoony artist.

HAVING SAID ALL THIS, i am fully Fully aware that i can have multiple art styles! im the author of that "fuck consistency in art, we ballin" post after all lmfao. but its a matter of what style id like to use Mainly, if that makes sense? i can change it at the drop of a hat, easy, depending on my mood. but i want Some kind of sense of what style i wanna draw at any given time, yknow?

well idk if u have a 'minors dni' but what do u think about minors (13-17 years old) reading ur writings or smut in general here in tumblr for example

i think that some ppl think that bc someone is minor they're oblivious or they have no idea about anything and maybe these young guys are more experienced.

if im not wrong, im much older than u but basically our generation is the same or at least is similar so, i grow up knowing when my classmates lost their virginities and all of them were minors at the time so, in general is almost the same in other countries.

bc since I've got this account (like +10 years before) and even more since i became part of the kpop community (at my 22, now im older lol), most writers who post smut are under the 'minors dni' and i think is perfect, is not like im against it, but i couldn't stop thinking about the fact that most of these teenagers are not virgins anymore so why they shouldn't read some smut on the internet? like, my point is not that i want minors to read smut or something like that god no, but aaag idk how to put it in words im sorry

like I know is for good, but what's the point of some writers being so angry when someone tell them 'im 17 and i love ur works' bc we dont know each others and sorry idk where im going with this just ignore me. im sending it to u anyways bc i wrote a lot (of nonsense i fear)

minors should not interact with my page. it’s clear and simple. doesn’t matter if they’re 13 or 17, i can go into this deeply but reading about intense smut is very damaging especially if you’re like 14 years old and have never experienced anything like that irl. it gives you misconceptions and false ideas

minors dni is a responsibility we have as writers. such as trigger warnings. we advise and i, along with any other writer, believe it’s for best. we can only advise, we can’t physically stop minors from interacting but yeah i would feel incredibly uncomfortable if minors read my works especially the intensely sexual ones. it’s plain and simple, minor means minor. there’s a reason why age warnings are so common

you’re entire argument being about minors who are in relationships and active sexually or whatever… there’s a whole lot i could go into just about that but i can’t be bothered rn

no for real the onceler fandom when i was a huge part of it (2015/2016) was so fuckin toxic half the people left bc everyone was praising one or two blogs and acting like everyone else was dirt. it was super discouraging and i ran about 3 blogs and the only interactions i ever got was from people starting drama :(

im not sure what the askblog scene looks like today but im HOPING and PRAYING its better

eughh im sorry that sounds like absolute hell...i barely dipped my toes in because i was recovering from Stuff (stuff that took me to this year to get over enough to even make another personal blog) so i wasnt Too up-to-date with what was going on in the fandom from 2015 tooo 2019?ish? even if i popped in on entre's blog time to time, but i've heard stuff from others and friends

i think the askblog scene is A LOT more chill these days. a lot more lax and there's sooo much just...Less of everything that it makes things easier to like take in stride at least to me compared to 2012-2014 days where everything was so intense, extreme, and constant

there's still the like ghosts of the same issues that've been present since day one but its like...on a MUCH lesser scale. i honestly think it's pretty good all things considered :) the only thing that makes it rly hard for me compared to past eras is how split the fandom is uhhh app/site-wise (like its very much spread across tiktok, tumblr, twitter, discord, maybe more...idk) and so it feels like im missing out if i dont keep up everywhere LMAO and each location comes with its own issues either population-wise or site/app-wise

i miss how centralized it used to be to tumblr u_u and obviously having more content to look at back in the day, i got very spoiled on it so when i peruse the fandom content its like a lot less to look at but thats honestly GOOD FOR ME BC I HAVE NO TIME NOW LMAOOOO but its just like strange bc im like woah i dont have to scroll for an hour on entres dash anymore to catch up

well i do, but that's bc i have no time to check it on work days and so it piles up for when i do sit and take the time. cant imagine the hell i'd be in if it was 2012-era activity

ppl who had full-time jobs in the fandom in 2012 damn...i salute you.

unfortunately with a fandom as niche as this, it kinda cooks up the same issues over and over again and it makes me wish there was some sort of disclaimer that popped up as soon as you wanted to join the fandom to give you a rundown on how the culture is, who the people are, what the past drama was (so dont bring it up again), and all that LMFAO like a onceler fandom 101 that was just beamed into your device when you were like hmm what if i joined the onceler fandom LMAO

i kinda wanna do something like that specifically for askblogs? like a dos and donts. or "things i wish i knew when i started an askblog" type of thing but alas..no time. bc i see other mods go through the same obstacles/difficulties i went through and learned to either change my thinking on, or something else to either help me get past it/over it or at least cope better and id wanna pass that on if the fandoms gonna keep getting revived every two or so years and then cave in on itself from the same rehashed drama/problems it always has :sob emoji:

its so interesting what u can gather abt someone from their blog like every time i see a post of yours on the dash it's like another little puzzle piece in the Who Tf Is Rosy picture. oh, you're in your thirties and you stay with your family and you stream and you wish you would go outside more. you wish you had more people in your social circle because you dont want to be alone anymore and all your friends live at least hours away. you have a vape addiction and you tried to go to college time after time and it didnt work so now you just sit at home and stream and interact in fandom spaces because you don't have a lot else. shitty home life when you were younger. too much internet drama in the past which is why you stick mostly to tumblr and twitch now. it's okay. you're just another person on my dash and i think that's really cool. keep doin what ur doin.

I. I'm not actually sure how I feel about this message. I mean. It sounds positive! And it's interesting to see someone like. put together so much about me just from glimpses on my blog. It's actually super flattering to the part of me that desperately needs attention to know that someone out there actually like. retains this info I drop about me on here.

I will say, you're missing one piece! I sit at home and stream and stuff not bc my life is a damned trainwreck, BUT because I had to quit my job I'd held for a couple of years because the pandemic was incredibly bad in my area, and I lived with older family and wasn't allowed to wear a mask to work. The only reason I still don't have another job is because I still... live with older family and covid is STILL super fucking bad down here and no one is wearing their masks, and the only jobs I could get around here would be like. cashier or waiter or something, something I would be forced to have contact with a ton of people and then come home to my family and risk exposing someone in incredibly poor health and advanced age to covid. I don't really have much of a choice-- it's either unemployment or risking bringing covid home to someone it would absolutely kill.

I mean I don't owe anybody my personal info but I feel like that is an important thing to note. mostly because I promise I'm not as pathetic as I seem lmfao I HAVE had jobs in the very recent past, but. yknow. covid ruined everything.

Hiii im an avid reader of your erwin x oc fic and i just wanna say.... i know petra is just a side character here but I can't help but feel bad about her :( she may be a jealous bitch here but levi's confession to erwin about choosing nathalie over petra just broke my heart for petra and my overthinking masochist brain has been thinking of scenarios like petra overhearing the conversation and when theyll be back in the hq she's gonna give levi the engagement ring back and just disappear in his life forever without saying anything like she just goes straight to his office, look at him in the eyes while giving him a painful smile and handing the engagement ring and a letter of resignation maybe then leaves without a word like a scene wherein petra realizes that she will never have a chance against nathalie even if levi isn't in nathalie's life anymore and she decides to give up because the pain is too much already or like after Levi's confession to erwin about choosing nat, levi noticed that petra overheard the conversation and petra ran off immediately and something bad happened to petra in the mission and when rounding up casualties, Levi asked some officer maybe about his squad then he was informed that petra is dead and i dont know how levi should feel like im such a sucker for tropes like petra and maybe levi will realize Petra's worth once she's gone and she is or maybe not or i dont know hahaha sorry im just rambling and wallowing about my angsty scenarios for petra 😂

And second, your ideas are AMAZING, honestly I was going to do exactly as you said, she overhears Levi’s confession to Erwin.

“I will forever choose Nathalie over Petra.”

Damnnnn, I bet y’all think he’s way out of character and he kinda is. I mean he would never hurt or use a woman like that. Using Petra while thinking of someone else? That’s not Levi at all. He is a respectful man and he would love his woman to the fullest.

But here, he is so convinced that he loves Nathalie when it’s not really love, he’s actually obsessed with Nathalie. He’s convinced that she’s the only one for him but that’s only because she was his first and the multiverse (long story short) this fic is part of my Multiverse of SNK idea.

So, this fic is a parallel universe to another fic of mine BHSL (a Nathalie x Levi slow burn) and let’s just say that an anomaly happened in the multiverse (it’s a long story, anon, you don’t need to know about it), and Levi from BBSF (the Erwin x Nathalie fic) is sharing emotions and memories from Levi in BHSL. So, the feelings that Levi has for Nat in this fic, they’re not actually his own. I was thinking that maybe, just maybe he actually loves Petra.

I know snk fans are masochistic af and you’d probably love for me to engage in angst and drama and heartbreaks LMFAO but hear me out, I had this idea of what happens with those two so that they can be happy (it’s a fix it fic after all).

As you said, Petra overhears Levi’s confession and she gets sad and mad af and she throws herself in battle to die. After Levi deals with the Beast, he finds her, lying in the battlefield, dying and bleeding and he panics. He literally panics. He kneels down and he pulls her in his arms and she’s crying.

She’s crying, she’s a mess because this man doesn’t love her. She was going to die and she was never going to find out how it feels to be loved by Levi. So, she cups his cheek and looks up at him and she makes him that final question that wants answered so desperately before she dies.

“Do you think, you could have ever loved me… as much as you love… her?”*

Oof that past tense hurts here a lot, because she’s talking about something that could’ve happened, but it never did because she’s dying now. Maybe deep down she has lost all hope and maybe she knows that she never really stood a chance in claiming his heart, but she just has to know. Maybe if he at least made his feelings towards her clear before her death, it would give her some peace.

And, please, now I want you to imagine Levi panicking and losing his calm entirely. This stoic man who watches friends die and kills people without a spec of emotion showing – now he’s at the verge of insanity. He’s slowly coming to realise that he actually loves Petra. Did she have to die for him to figure out it? Yes. He took her for granted. He won’t realise it if this scene doesn’t happen.

So, he brings her closer and he’s pressing down on her wound, as hard as he can because he needs time. He has wasted her time with her so much, being obsessed over another woman that would never feel the same for him. Imagine the self-loathing and the regret, the guilt he’s feeling right now. Now that he’s realising he loves her, it’s way too fucking late.

“No…” he says and she weeps but he’s wiping away her tears and he holds her closer and for the first time in her life, she’s seeing tears in those argent eyes she had grown to adore “…I could have loved you so much more.”*

Here’s the past tense again. Something that could have happened – he could have loved her but he never did, he never got the second chance he wanted because she died in his arms and he would forever hate himself for it. For hurting her, using her, making her a mere replacement when deep down he knew he was a mess without her.

BUT as I said, this is a fix it fic AHAHAHAH SO this is where the angst ends (my apologies eheheh), but remember those three serums that Nathalie made? The ones that heal all wounds???? Yeah, Levi kept one, Hange kept the second one (which they used on Moblit), and Nathalie hid the third one in her bag (that she eventually used to save Erwin).

Levi doesn’t know if it will work. He doesn’t care if someone needs it. He’ll use it on her and he’s going to save her life. She remains unconscious for a couple of days because she’s lost blood, but she survives and maybe they don’t break up. Maybe Levi snaps out of it, and he actually, finally lets their relationship become healthy and happy.

Honestly, I’m not actively a Rivetra shipper (but that’s only cuz it hurts too much and I’m a fucking wimp LMAO) and this fic is an Erwin x OC not a Rivetra fic and that’s why all the rivetra is wayyyyy back in the background (you reminded me with this ask to actually mention them in a scene because it’s been seven chapters and I’ve forgotten about them LMFAO) BUT I SHOULD DEF write this angsty scene as a flashback or a bonus/filler chapter or a oneshot.

But first, I need to get my shit together and stop being lazy and actually write shit LMFAO

hello. just wanted to say that I love all your works.

funny story, your fic was actually the first ever fanfic that I read. it was a little over a year back, I was in a not-so-good headspace. and just searched up 'yeonjun fanfic' on google lmao just for the heck of it. tried wattpad, was scarred💀 twt was just not for me. and then tried tmblr and was greeted by one of your yeonjun drabbles. ngl, I was a little taken aback at the liberal use of the obscene words lmao. and then since I didn't know how to actually use tmblr, I just read all of your works. and I mean all. so the works that literally don't even exist anymore, I've read them too!

so I've been with your works way back when you were cupidchois. and my tmblr journey began with you so you're like the OG for me lol.

also, the not-so-good-headspace was due to this huge huge life changing entrance exam I had and your fics provided comfort. but when the exam date was too near, I stopped using tmblr for like 3 months.

but before going, I read whatever little part of bewitched you had written and remember thinking that okay when I come back after all this time, it might be a completed series. also, the release date for the yj sugarpapi fic was 14 feb but you said you needed more time. and I thought yeah I'm gonna be gone a long long time. it'll be there when I come back.

if only I knew lol. when I came back you had a brand new blog, half of your fics were missing, sugarpapi never came out, and get this, bewitched had actually gone BACKWARDS because you decided to rewrite it! lmfao, I'm not tryna sound rude or pushy at all. please dont take it the wrong way. the situation was just sooo funny.

I’m pretty sure a lot of us here actually started out with just searching up fanfics on google and then finding tumblr in the search results. Because same! I did not know something like tumblr existed and my experience with wattpad was equally traumatising 😵; thank god for the hellsite. It sure is very annoying at times but it’s also nice that we can have our own little bubble here!

Ah yes... Bewitched. Sigh. I have a love-hate relationship with that kid. I think I have mentioned this before in some random rant post, but god, rewriting is so hard. Because I spend most of the time regretting how I wrote it instead of the actual fixing and editing and rewriting. I won’t abandon it, but at this rate I’m not sure when I’ll be able to invest myself completely in rewriting either. It’s only harder because my daydreams have no ends and the amount of newer wips that I want to finish and post keeps increasing. And to top it off, there’s ✨real life✨, being an absolute pain in the ass constantly.

Also Sugarpapi 😭! It’s honestly me vs. the unrealistic high standards I’ve set for myself at this point. But you know what? I’ll take my time with it. Because I think taking it slow is better in all aspects. Like yeah, I could just half-ass it and put all the pressure in the world on myself to finish it sometime soon, but we all know that’ll be a mess itself, and will make me one too. It’s coming. I promise. Maybe in another year 💀
