Charlie

Her eyes go wide and watery as she feels herself getting really emotional. All you did was bring her some candy, and she views the gesture as being super nice.

Gives you a big ole hug and thanks you profusely before promising to get you something nice too!

Charlie grew up in Hell so she doesn't know about Valentine's Day. She just thought that you got her candy to be nice. At your explanation of the human holiday, well she makes it a mission to do something really cute and romantic with you.

Emily

You're a sinner so let's say that you're in the Heaven Embassy for some reason and you met Emily through her projection at some point and ended up getting together from multiple visits from then on (with her making excuses so she could talk to you in that manner).

With how things currently are, it's most likely a long distance relationship with you and Emily. Which sucks, but you two try to do your best making it work. And with how sweet she is, she's more than happy to constantly make it all work.

And then Valentine's Day happens and she's surprised when you bring a present with you. Since she's a projection (she hasn't found a good excuse that doesn't require massive lying to actually meet you in person), she is a bit pouty that she can't actually open the gift you got.

But she gasps so loud when you reveal the fact that you got her candy. Not to mention, her favorite! She's very curious how you managed to find a candy that she thought is only in Heaven (you don't mention looting an Exorcist to get it).

Emily is so unbelievably happy and she's thanking you so much. Will see if she can find a way to get a portal or something to send the candy over to her. Until then, she is so touched with the gesture.

Vaggie

A bit suspicious when you get her her favorite candy. Mostly wonders if you accidentally broke something or want her to do something she's not a fan of with you. She does thank you for the candy.

When you mention Valentine's Day then she'll be a bit familiar with it. She thinks she remembers a Saint Valentine up in Heaven somewhere. Doesn't quite know how she feels about celebrating something all lovey dovey like this when she'd prefer to just spend every day happily dating you.

Will take you on a nice date just as a thanks for the candy, but besides that, she's not too into celebrating the "holiday" herself. She goes along with you if you want to go all out and stuff, but her heart isn't in it. Vaggie really just wants to cuddle in bed with you.

You were Garcia's best friend from a tech convention and she wanted you to meet her work friends from the FBI.

Y/N's POV

You hear someone shrieking your name and you look around to find your best friend. You see Penelope Garcia waving and smiling. Omg, I missed her so much!!! I walk over to her and we immediately hug.

After Penelope and I hug, I exclaim "I brought you two small presents. I saw it and knew you had to have it. Not to mention, they fit in your purse." I hand her the bag and she opens it. It's a sparkly purple fuzzy pen and a small bobblehead of a cat for her desk. She smiles and exclaims "This is perfect. I love this so much. Okay before I get distracted ... come and meet my friends." I follow her to her friends. She exclaims "Friends, this is Y/N. She is a fellow tech expert and one of my best friends. We met at a convention where she hacked this presentation and exposed these leaders for their dirty business. They ended up in jail and no one ever knew it was her. Well, I mean except, for me, of course! I can always tell Y/N’s trademark in code." I add "Please don't spread the info. I have a good job and don't want them to fire me. If you have to tell, I understand though." They all laugh and smile. Garcia replies "Honey, we are the FBI. We won't spill. We know everyone's dirty secrets. I’ve told you this before. Nothing needs to to be worried about." I smile. Garcia then says "Okay, to your left, that is Jennifer Jareau also known as JJ." We shake hands and I say "Nice to meet you, JJ. I've heard about how great of a mother you are and how you've helped Garcia. Thanks for being a great friend to my friend." JJ replies "Aw thank you." Garcia says "Okay, next to her is Emily Prentiss who you can call whatever she wants." We shake hands and Emily Prentiss says "You can call me Emily." I reply "Well nice to meet you, Emily. I hear you traveled a lot growing up and I must say I'm slightly envious. I would love to travel more. We'll have to talk about your favorite places." Emily replies "You might be disappointed. It was hard when I was growing up. I did manage to learn multiple languages, which is now useful for my job." I reply "Wow so she's a multilingual girl. Damn, that's cool. I'm glad you have these two lovely blondes to hang out with." Garcia exclaims "Ahh Y/N, you're so sweet. You really don’t need to give everyone a compliment every time you meet one of my friends. Now let's loosen you up a little. What do you say you grab us two piña coladas?" I laugh and answer "I like what you're thinking. Do either of you ladies want a drink?" They both shake their heads.

I walk off to the bar.

Emily Prentiss' POV

I watch as Y/N walks off. She is so hot.

When Garcia said she was inviting a friend, I didn't know she would be so beautiful and funny. The way she complimented JJ and I ... stop that was so kind. I like her already.

I hear a snap and look over at Garcia who is smiling. I ask "What did you say? I didn't hear it." Garcia says "I wanted to know how you felt about Y/N. Now I see that you like her because you watched her leave with a dazed smile on your face." Shit!! JJ says "Garcia said she is bisexual. You have a chance." I ask "Wait what? There is no way she is." Garcia replies "Yes. I've even kissed her." I gasp and ask "How was it?" Garcia answers "Look at Miss Nosy over here. It was a good kiss. We got dared to kiss. We may have both been intoxicated, but it was nice. There were no sparks though and we are still friends. That never changed." I hear "Ooh who are we talking about? Spill the tea!" I jump a little and see Y/N standing there right next to me. Garcia says "We were talking about our kiss. They were asking about your sexuality." Shit, she made that super obvious that one of us was interested in her and that it was me. It's not JJ because you can see her ring and Garcia has already been there and done that.  Y/N says "Oh yeah we did kiss. There were no sparks or butterflies for me either. It's probably a good thing because I don't know what I would do if there ever was a time without Miss Penelope Garcia in my life. Yes, I am bisexual." I ask "How long have you known?" Shit, why did I ask that? Y/N faces me and answers "Since I saw Megan Fox on tv one day and thought about kissing her." I smirk and reply "I was more of a Scarlett Johansson type myself." Y/N replies "Mhmm yes she is perfect. You have great taste."

I hear "Okay time for shots ladies!!" I groan and Garcia says "We don't have work. Come on, Hotch said he wouldn't call us tomorrow." JJ says "Yeah come on Emily." I look over at Y/N who shrugs. I nod and say "Let's do this before I have second thoughts!"

The rest of the night passes by super fast. I remember dancing with Y/N on the dance floor and I remember more shots.

I wake up to my arms around Y/N and we're both in our undergarments. I feel my head start hurting and my stomach starts to flip.

I carefully get off the bed and rush to where an open door where I see a toilet. I start throwing up. I sit back and lean against the tub when I feel nothing else coming up.

The door pushes open and Y/N walks in. She makes a beeline for the toilet and starts throwing up too.

After she's done, she leans against the cabinets. She looks at me and asks "What happened last night?" I shrug and answer "The last two things I remember are shots and dancing with you." She replies "I remember that too. Gosh, look at us, two women who just slept in their underwear together." I ask "Do you think that's all we did?" She answers "I have honestly no idea. But I saw the way our clothes are out there. Mine are in my laundry hamper and yours are pretty neat on the chair. We wouldn't have paused to neatly stack our clothes if we were all over each other. At least we wouldn't have while we were drunk after taking shots on a weekday. We were probably just really warm from all of the drinks." 

I suddenly remember I should be at work. I exclaim "Oh sh**! Work!" I get up and race back to the bedroom. I see my clothes on a chair and I find my phone. I check my texts. I see two from Penelope from last night. The first one was the contact info of Y/N. The second one said Have fun tonight with Y/N. You two look cute together even if it lasts one night. Please make it last longer. You deserve love and happiness. So does she. I see another one from her this morning one hour ago I covered for you. I'm picking you up to bring you to work during my lunch break. I will bring you your travel bag to change clothes. In exchange, tell me about last night!!!!!!! I want ALL of the deets!!!!!!!!

I check the time and see that her lunch break is in 20 minutes. That means she will be here well who knows where we are.

I look around and see Y/N is no longer in the bedroom or bathroom. I slide on my shirt and pants before leaving the room.

I walk out and I see Y/N in the kitchen area. She is wearing a robe and is cooking food while humming to herself. She's so cute. I walk up to her and ask "Hey Y/N? Mind if I shower in your bathroom?" She jumps a little, turns, smiles, and says "Of course. Go ahead. Towels are in the cabinets. Use whatever products you need. I have extra blouses too if you need one to borrow." I reply "Penelope is bringing me new clothes on her lunch break, but thanks." She smiles.

I leave and shower.

After my shower, I get out and wrap myself in a robe. I see my work bag outside the door and I bring it in to change into new clothes. This means that Penelope is here.

I see Penelope eating lunch with Y/N. They're laughing over a video on Penelope's phone. I ask "What are you two laughing at?" They both jump in their seats and turn around. What are they embarrassed to be watching? Penelope hands me her phone and I see myself. Penelope says "You said it was your Magic Mike impression." Oh no... I watch myself straddle Y/N and grind on her while slowly taking my shirt off. I exclaim "I am so sorry Y/N. Wow. Omg. I cannot believe I did that. Pen, why did no one stop me?" Penelope says "It was amusing to watch and it was good to see you let free." Y/N exclaims "I didn't seem to mind last night as far as I can tell." I half smile and reply "Right. Cool. Okay ... Penelope, you are here for lunch?" Penelope nods and says "Yes. Y/N made it. She's great in the kitchen and I'm sure you know where else she is great, hm?" I reply "I will one day." Shit did I say that too? This crush on Y/N has me all tongue-tied.  Penelope asks "Wait you two didn't sleep together?" Y/N says "Before Penelope asks questions, there is a plate and you can get whatever food you want, Emily. You can use the glass over there for water from the fridge too." I thank her and walk over to get food.

I hear Penelope say "You two are such a cute couple and you're not together yet. Or are you?" Y/N answers "Penelope, one does not kiss and tell." Hahahaha

I walk back over and sit down next to Y/N in the empty seat.

After lunch, Penelope hugs Y/N and tells me to be at the car in 5 or we'll be late.

I turn to Y/N and fidget with my fingers a little bit.

I exclaim "Look Y/N, I don't normally just sleep in the same bed as someone half naked within 24 hours of meeting them. It was weird for me. I guess drunk Emily trusted you... truth is, I find you attractive and kind. I like you. I would like to go on a date with you preferably with no shots." Y/N laughs and says "Yes Emily, I would like that very much. I don't sleep with people half-naked after just meeting them either. I also like you too." I smile. Y/N then asks "Is it too soon to give you a hug goodbye?" I shake my head and we hug. I then get my bag and leave.

Haley Falling in Love with the Farmer Headcanons

Ofc! I'm so sorry this took so long; I've been really tired and busy the last couple of days. I love Haley so much. I hope you enjoy what I've written. <3

When she first met you, she thought you were too grubby for her. You're constantly covered in grass, coal, seawater, seaweed, and animal poop. How is that ever going to mix with their perfect image? She tended to avoid you but wasn't as mean as she can come off in the game.

She finds out something is up when they catch herself planning you a bouquet. Nothing romantic, but something with a nice message attached through the flowers used. Her first instinct is to panic. She doesn't want to have a thing for the farmer! She'd even date Clint if she had to. Well, that's a lie, but she pretended it wasn't.

Eventually, she (somehow) gets used to this new feeling and sees it as an opportunity for herself. As a response, she goes super sweet. Sweetheart Omori to sweetheart candy. So many compliments over everything you do. Even if it's something they'd earlier considered annoying or gross.

Lots of physical affection, too. Tons of hugs whenever they see you, cuddling on her bed or the couch, etc. She'll surprise you with a big bear hug from behind a lot. Once she did it while you were fishing at the dock and you both ended up falling into the water. They claim they were so upset. but Emily can tell she sort of liked it.

Fashion shows! You know they've got a ton of clothes, so she shares them with you. You end up in her frilly outfits and find them taking photos of you. You probably need a lot of encouragement to not throw the clothes out into the river.

"Come on, you look good in everything! This will take you from cute to gorgeous."

She sends you a ton of bouquets. A lot of them are just found on your doorstep (they can't be bothered to find you lol), but sometimes they'll give them to you in person to see your first reaction. Unless you know floriography, you wouldn't realise she's confessing to you twice a week. If you do happen to know it and Haley finds out, they'll immediately switch to the most friend-zoned messages possible. "Thank you, my dearest platonic friendly friend friend, for being so platonic with me and our friendly buddy pal friendship."

It's obvious in a Haley sort of way. By that, I mean for most people it's very clear, but for Emily and Alex they're under the impression Haley's just made a new friend. Let's be honest, she doesn't have a big friend group, or even friend pair, so who knows how she really acts around them.

First of all, you're an undead, so he doesn't know how to approach you at first. But through time, he's warmed up to you and he does like you for who you are

You are very sweet, almost the opposite of the harsh dorm leader that is Riddle Rosehearts. It's sort of like an opposites attract moment with you two, where often he's strict but you're on the sidelines making things a bit more easygoing

By the way everyone at Heartslabyul hides behind you so they don't get their heads offed whenever they're chased by Riddle haha

Overall, I don't see him having a big issue with you but the fact that you're a corpse might freak him out a bit at first

Similar to Riddle, he won't really get how you're dead but not. But nonetheless, as long as you "don't bother" him, he's happy. He does find the fact that you were going to marry someone but died a little depressing

He does find your gullible nature to be a bit concerning, especially with the nature of NRC. He's sort of protective over you as time goes, often wrapping an arm around you

He likes teasing you btw, often making jokes but the jokes go over your head. It's your more naive personality that causes this, which can be adorable or insufferable depending on the situation to Leona

He likes you for who you are, and doesn't mind it when you stick around him. It's nice to have someone care for him anyways ;-;

Azul

At first he attempted to trick you into signing a contract, but then he felt bad and that's where you two started off haha. Thinks that your dress is super pretty btw

He doesn't mind that you're a corpse, since he himself isn't quite human either. He does ask a lot of questions about your biology however so be prepared for that!

Does also find your gullible nature to be of concern. If you almost signed a contract without even asking what it was, then yeah he feels that he should at least keep an eye out on you

my speak now tv vault track/overall impressions are under the cut if anyone wants to read! wrote these right after listening for the first time :) they got long (a girl has a lot of feelings about speak now! who would've thought)

• electric touch!!!!!!! this is such a cute song omfg. i love the way she writes about love as fire so much (and i think it's interesting considering another common motif she uses is love as a religion...hm. anyway.) if i had to guess when this was written it would've been closer to the beginning of the process bc fearless taylor's sensibilities come through a lot. i can see why they cut it bc it's so similar to sparks fly in concept. i LOVE THE FOB FEATURE.

• when emma falls in love: "little miss sunshine always thinks it's gonna rain" & other incredible one liners!!!!!! OH MY GOD THE BRIDGE. I KNEW I WAS GOING TO LOVE THIS ONE. i understand why they cut this one bc it's not explicitly personal until the bridge and it is speak now after all. even though i think "when emma falls in love i'm learning" (or whatever it is) is a bit of a clumsy lyric, the sentiment is soooooooo dhsksjshdhjdbd. like of course she was looking to her friends and being envious of their relationships going well based on what she was experiencing. it's a beautiful companion piece to btr and little speak now honestly, and i think the themes of comparing yourself to other women on this album are super interesting and relatable.

• i can see you: OMFG DHSGSJDGSJHDKSHSKVDJD UP AGAINST A WALL WITH ME?????? I LOVE HER THIS IS SO FUNNY AND SO FUCKING GOOD WTF. obviously we all know why they cut this. the professional business vibe is so funny like girl why do u want a business man. unfortunately my brain went straight to emily poe bc the gaylor pathways run deep. where was this song 4 months ago. ANYWAY. i'm so glad she let this one bejeweled bc horny teenager music is kind of unmatched. i love her for this.

• castles crumbling: okay nothing new precursor!!! i have a feeling this will be a grower for me. the arrangement/production reminds me of an overly cheesy song that would play during the credits/climactic moment montage during a movie? idk. idk how i feel about it but it certainly is in line with the sound of the rest of the album (haunted, long live). i can't quite tell if she's writing about hypotheticals or if this is stuff she already experienced. the "power went to my head" is so interesting because like. bbygirl u were a kid of course it was going to do that. idk. i thought the second verse was stronger. i think the castles crumbling imagery as an explicit ending to the fairytale themes coming from fearless is a little too on the nose. least fave so far but could def grow on me.

• foolish one: this is SO CUTE. i love this one so much. i'm convinced that the last chorus at the end (her lower register sounds soooooo good there but we all knew that) was something she added retroactively. it feels like present her talking to younger her which is so sweet (but also 😵‍💫). an excellent more realistic thematic companion to little speak now i think. she's so good at these sweet upbeat countryish songs and i will happily take them every time. (edit: "you are not the exception" is a "the only exception" reference, no?)

• timeless: IT'S NOT A TAYLOR ALBUM WITHOUT AN OUR LOVE IS FATE SONG!!!!!! the historical fiction nerd in me is obsessed with this one. THE ROMEO AND JULIET/LOVE STORY CALLBACK IN THE SECOND VERSE??????? OKAY LITERARY GENIUS. the instrumentation is so lush and perfect and the subtle horns are soooooooo nice. it might be recency bias but i think this is my favorite one.

overall I thought it was really interesting to see which songs she cut and how two of them were seemingly because they were too "explicit" in some ways. let baby taylor be horny on main!!!!!!!!! it's really interesting to compare castles crumbling to long live and see how those fears about fame turning sour for her were already very present. it gives more context to the long live bridge imo. overall none of these have like recontextualized the album for me in the way the red vault did (or feel like they were touching on missing pieces of the story ig) but they definitely added some more color to certain themes. i am trying to not think about how i can see you could easily be about jm. overall i'm happy with the speak now album we got but i'm obvs also very glad to have these songs <3

Period hasn’t come yet. Only a matter of time now… that’s what’s awful about starting your period at FOURTEEN. Who starts their period that late??? I’m fifteen now though, don’t you worry about that. But my periods are like suuuuuper irregular so I have no idea when it’s going to appear!

I started watching Killing Eve. And I finished the third series of What We Do In The Shadows and can’t watch any more unless I get Disney+ (that’s never going to happen).

I think about Leia a lot. Like, more than friends normally think about their friends. But I don’t think I have a crush on her, right? Because when I had a crush on Christabelle that was SO different. I don’t feel about Leia that way. But it’s definitely a greater feeling than normal friendship. When I first properly met her I thought I had a crush on her but I know now that was just me wanting to be friends with her as I had no other friends at the time. The way Dilpreet mentions that sometimes is actually soul-crushing because every once in a while she’ll say “Hey, remember when you sat on your own all the time?/when you would go to class super early to avoid other people seeing you be totally alone?” as if it wasn’t one of the worst times of my life. Whatever.

I think the reason I like Leia so much is because she’s so perfect and I can’t understand it. She has this way of being so sincere when she tells me she missed me on the few days I was sick, and I could tell she genuinely genuinely meant it. I like that about her because it means I can tell her how much I love her (which is a LOT!). And when we have conversations it’s like when you’ve been sat in a car for hours and you finally step outside and you get that fresh clean air. And when she compliments me or reassures me about something it feels like it’s the middle of summer and the sun is rising and all the flowers have begun to bloom.

I don’t like her boyfriend much. I don’t dislike him. He’s incredibly kind to her and about once a week she’ll tell me something wonderfully sweet he said to her, usually about how he wishes she saw herself how he sees her. I could bet a million pounds I see her in a far better light! And he went to ARMY SCHOOL… and she showed me his six pack… ew… he literally failed his GCSES. Oh, did I mention he’s 17 and she’s my age? And he sent her a dick pic she didn’t ask for. As if anyone would ask for that! He’s an idiot and he’s disrespectful.

Tegan (the girl Leia used to be best friends with) clearly hated him. Why would she do that? She would talk about how much she hated him to her face. I would never do that. I couldn’t hurt her feelings like that! I think Tegan likes Leia a bit. Clearly not a lot though, because she’s always so nasty to her. Maybe she’s just a bit controlling - I know she gets jealous when Leia sits with me and my friends instead of Tegan and her friends. Not that it’s a competition or anything.

I’m never ever mean to Leia! God I sound like such a nice guy. I’m not, I swear. Well I mean I am nice. You know what I mean… When Leia was trying to convince me not to buy her anything for Christmas and I told her I would because she deserved it, I feel like nobody ever really tells her that because she had a real reaction to it. And when she told me about how she went on a bus for the first time I saw how her eyes lit up with wonder! Over a bus! She’s so cute. And once in English, when Emily and Natalija weren’t in (thank GOD) Leia said to me that it was the highlight of her day. How precious is that?!

I think it’s more that I just want to be her best friend. I think.

Emily: Kiran Oberoi. They're in the same 7th grade class as my friend Mariela, that's how we met. They're like really sweet but I don't think they see me like that, although once I wore a yellow ruffle t shirt and they said I looked nice and I panicked and just nodded.

☾ emily is able to direct the flow of electric energy from her body or another living thing into electric lightning like attacks including punches and kicks and she can direct the electrical current threw her metal staff to deliver strong strikes at a distant as well as using her whip to do the same. In a last attack she can summon her final strength and shoot a bolt of energy from her hands. If she is near a good source of energy like in a city full if electricity she is pretty much never out of ammo. She prefers to heal with her hamon and as long as the wounds are not life threatening she can heal anything.

Limitations

☾ can not use her hamon in rain or when wet. If she uses to much of her own energy her body starts to shut down. If she heals to many people at one time she can get sick and weak.

Background / Backstory

Grew up peacefully at first with her mother teaching her to use her pillar strength and senses wisely. She had a hard time making friends when she was young because the kids were afraid of her. Even after she wondered away from her sleeping mother one morning and learned she was immune to the sun. Her father was a hamon student and found her playing with a puppy. He also saw flowers growing around her as a result of her hamon. He began to train her from then on and thought her to use hamon to heal as well as defend.

Teenage Years / Adolescence

☾ when she turned 13 her father had become a grate hamon teacher and healer in there tribe. He was in his late 50s but her and her mother aged slower than him. They both continued to train her and she became a hamon warrior when she turned 15. Her tribe accepted her and she soon had many friends. She fell in love but they were never to be together. There lives were just to different and he rejected her witch caused her to develop a fear of rejection and she decided never to fall in love again.

Adulthood

☾ As time passed on her father became chief of the tribe and she in turn became a princess but they did not really use that sort of tital. Emily was now well into her 30s and her father was very old. They both had heard of her mothers clan being attacked and wiped out by other rogue pillar men and that other hamon tribes were also being slaughtered. Fearing an attack emily's parents sent her away to train and learn more about her powers and herself but in reality they just wanted her to be safe. While she is away the rogue pillarmen attack killing everyone and her mother falls by there hands refusing to join them. By the time Emily returns 5 years later she finds the ruins of her home, her people nothing but corpses, and a crumbled statue of her mothers body witch turns to dust when she touches it. Emily morns for days and goes in search of revenge but never finds anything to tell her what happened.

Chapter Four: Secret Skills

"Oh you're on Cameron." I say, chucking the soccer ball as hard as I can right at his face. Unfortunately for all the wolf skills I have, he's got them to, and he catches it effortlessly. I'd been sitting on a blanket with Leah, having a nice chill time when Jared started throwing out jabs about how in all the time I'd been here, I'd never had the guts to play with the big boys.

"You ever played soccer before, sweetheart?" He seems to think the intensity in my glare is funny as he keeps egging me on, rolling the ball back to me. "You use your feet to kick the ball into the other team's goal. Got it?"

"Oh, I don't put it in my own goal?" I say, sending the ball into the air and casually juggling it.

Jared's face drops, and somewhere beside me Paul lets out a booming laugh.

I spend the next hour wiping the floor with Jared. Dribbling the ball between his feet, sending him flying into the sand. Eventually he concedes and we all fall onto a blanket Emily laid out for us.

"I just want to hear you say it Jared! I want Jake and Leah to hear it!" I say, leaning back into Paul's arms.

"LUCY IS THE ALL TIME BEST SOCCER PLAYER IN ALL OF THE WORLD. HER AMAZINGNESS KNOWS NO BOUNDS." Jared shouts in the flattest voice he can.

The little group of our friends sitting on the other side of the beach look over. Leah whoops and hollers, throwing her hands together in a cheer. Even Jacob, the epitome of a moody heartbroken teenager cracks a small smile.

Paul leans down to whisper in my ear. "I'm not gonna lie... that was super fucking hot." He presses a kiss to my hair. "Who knew you were so good at soccer."

I peek up at him over my shoulder. "Oh I'm good at a lot of things Paul."

His eyes go dark at the provocative tone in my voice. "Maybe I could show you sometime." Reaching back my hand to grab his face, I plant a quick peck to his cheek.

I don't need a mind link to know what he's thinking, by the way he's shifting me in his lap, like he's got something to hide.

I'm sat in the back seat of Jared's truck shoulders bumping between Seth and Leah's. The road leading to the cliffs isn't the smoothest ride. Someone had brought up cliff diving that morning, and Seth had been quick to pipe up that he'd never once done it, which apparently was unacceptable. After a fair amount of ribbing from the other boys about not being brave enough, Seth had outed me, tatling that I'd never done it either.

It was immediately declared that everyone was to go get their swimsuits and meet at the top of the cliffs.

Seth, who'd been fidgety the whole drive up, was now peering over the edge of the cliff warily.

"Geez man. Did it get taller? It looks so normal from the beach." Seth whispers for just me to hear. This absolutely precious boy I think leaning into his shoulder. "I can go with you if you want." And he seriously contemplates it before shaking his head.

"Nah, the guys'll never shut up about it. I got this." He decides, squaring his shoulders.

After a while of peaking over the edge and backing away a few times, and a few boys sprinting past him to jump, Seth finally gets the balls to hurl himself over the side, in the world's most awkward looking cannonball. The few of you still there are left cackling at the whole thing.

"You end up wearing one of the new swimsuits you got?" Leah asks. I hum and nod at her.

"The flowery one? Or the blue one that makes your ass look extra smackable?" She asks, quoting the exact words I'd said when I told her about them.

I sense rather than see that Paul's eyes are suddenly on us from his spot a few feet behind me.

Wordlessly, I pull the shoulder of my sundress to the side, revealing a bright blue bikini strap with an overly sweet smile, putting on a show for my secret audience.

"Ooo nice colour. Let me see." She demands.

Grabbing the bottom of my sundress, I start to hike it up over my head. I swear I hear someone's breath hitch. Scrunching my dress into a ball I bend over to tuck it into my bag, and this time I definitely hear a groan behind me. And not at all a subtle one.

"Alright, well that's our cue Embry." Leah smirks, sauntering over to the last person left on top of the cliff. With a wink over his shoulder Embry shouts "If you guys don't come right down after us, everyone will know exactly what you're doing!" And with that, he and Leah leap off the edge. Their screams get quieter and quieter, until my wolf ears hear a faint splash.

Suddenly there's a pair of warm hands on my hips, pulling me flush against a hard chest.

"You know I've been meaning to take up swimming... We should go. Like all the time." Paul's soft voice contradictory to the nips his teeth are giving my ear. I wiggle my hips back into him and he hisses "Everyday.... We should come everyday."

His words pull a giggle from my lips. "I could definitely be into that." I push off of Paul and turn around to face him. With the most innocent look I can manage, my hands splayed on his chest, I start to lightly push him backwards towards a nearby tree. "You know I don't think I really want to jump right now."

Paul's eyes have gone dark as they follow your every move. "No?" His voice comes out an octave lower than normal. My waves bounce on my shoulders as I shake my head no.

"And I don't think I really care what our friends will think if we don't." Paul visibly gulps. I love that after all the times we've been together that I can still pull reactions like this out of him. His back bumps into the tree. My hands trail down to the waist of his shorts.

"Maybe I could show you some of those things I'm really good at." I say looking up at him as I sink to my knees.

Safe to say, it was a while before we joined our friends in the water.

I pull the heavy scent of Pine and fire and Paul over my head, tightening the string of the hoodie around my face. I'm about to crawl into bed for the night, but the corner of an envelope catches my eye. I'd buried it underneath a pile of books in hopes that it would get lost there, hoping I'd forget about it altogether. But no matter my intention, some part of me clearly wanted to read it, because the entire corner was clearly visible. I can't hold back my curiosity any longer, and with a heavy sigh, I gently shuffle it out of its half-assed hiding spot and rip out the letter.

The thick black ink is curled in a way that reminds me of my mother's handwriting, but somehow stuffy and stiff. And it makes me a bit sad to see.

My Dearest Lucy,

I still cannot believe how beautiful you have grown up to be. When I saw you standing in front of me, it took all of my strength not to run to you. I had to stay stoic so as to not show weakness. Strength is very important in the Volturi, and I didn't want Jane to report back to Aro. She would have to, as she is forever trying to prove her superiority over me.

I wanted to explain, my beautiful girl, just why I never came to tell you that I was alive.

You would think that being bitten and changing is the most painful thing in the world. And it was definitely no easy feat. But the part afterwards, when you wake up all alone, with no idea what to do, fire tearing up your throat... That is pain. I went to Los Angeles for a while, feeding where I knew I wouldn't run into you or your father. After a while, I tried to come back for you. But I was standing outside the house, and the scent of your father was just too sweet. I ran as fast as I could before I couldn't control myself any longer. I just couldn't be near you without risk.

I spent a while in isolation after that. Feeding only on those dumb enough to wander deep into the woods. That is where Demetri found me. He later told me that I looked more like a wild animal than a vampire. I'd been alone in the woods for so long. But the Volturi have someone who can sense the abilities of other vampires. She'd passed near enough by me to feel my power, and told Demetri where to find me. He brought me to Aro, and they gave me a place in their guard. After being completely alone in this for so long, it felt so good to be a part of something. They gave me a home, and companionship, and helped me to strengthen my abilities. Lucy, I can't even begin to explain in writing how strong I've become. I could protect us. I think you and your father would like Italy so much. I'm strong enough that you wouldn't have to worry about your wolf problem. If anyone said anything I could change their minds. You don't have to keep pretending with your "pack". We could be a REAL family again.

I've read through it three times now. I'm trying to find my mom in these words, in this penmanship. But it contains none of her warmth, none of her love. This is cold and distant. Her time as a vampire and in isolation had changed her too much. The quotation marks around the word pack irk me. The capitalization of REAL just pisses me off. I don't even realize I'm trembling with rage until I feel the breeze rush through my opening window and a warm hand coming down on my shoulder. I wordlessly hand the letter to Paul while I rush to my desk, yanking open the drawer to find a blank envelope and paper. Paul's grip has tightened on the paper and I hear it crumpling behind me. I scribble so angrily that my writing is wobbly.

Let's just clear something up here. My PACK is my REAL family. Just as Dad is my REAL family. I lost my mother a long time ago. My mother never would have tried to control me the way you did. And she certainly wouldn't have wanted to lure me into the den of my enemies to keep as some prize. I don't know who you are anymore. And I sure as hell will not be leaving my family behind to be a prisoner in some bloodsucker tomb like some sort of meal waiting to be devoured. I've been through so much pain to get here, but I'm here now and I'm finally happy. I am NOT leaving.

Ummm so my names rosie I’m British, I love horror movies and indie music. Primarily sad stuff like phoebe bridgers and boygenius. I’m a bit blunt sometimes and I drink lots of lemon tea when I’m stressed.

I would love a criminal minds ship if that’s okay? And I just have to say it’s so fun to see another phoebe marauders criminal minds loving person on here hahahah

ohmygosh! so, definitely spence or emily, i would say?

spencer would absolutely LOVE to watch horror movies with you. we’ve all seen how this man is on halloween, he lives for that. and while he may be the type to want to talk about how unrealistic things are, or the myths behind everything going on, i think it’d be such a cute little date night or just moment together! i’m not sure how he would feel about the music, mainly because i don’t think he’d have the best taste in music. he just wouldn’t keep up with trends or popular artists. i feel like if he did listen to music, which would be rarely, it’d honestly be something really bad like electronic music (i’m sorry if this is your style if someone else reads this. i’m just not the biggest fan) just because he doesn’t really know anything else? i don’t think he’d listen to it all that much though, he strikes me more as a podcast type of guy when he’s not reading. the bluntness would definitely be a good sort of cancelling out, though! while he rants and rambles a lot, he’s very awkward (at least in the earlier seasons, which is what i’m thinking about here) and he wouldn’t be super outspoken. not purposefully, at least. he might be intimidated by that about you at first, but i think it’d balance the two of you out very nicely. and then the tea 😭 i know this kid is obsessed with coffee, but tea just seems like such a spencer thing aswell! i feel like he’d make it for you all the time if he noticed the signs of you being stressed and just try to help as much as possible :( my sweet lover

as for emily, i don’t know if there’s many scenes of her talking about horror movies? there probably is and i’m just forgetting, but she does strike me as the type to enjoy them! she may not be the biggest fan at first, not wanting to see even more gore than she does already at her job, but she’d quickly get into it. especially franchises and things like scream, where you have to try and figure out the killer and things like that, she’d definitely enjoy. AND PHOEBE BRIDGERS IS SO EMILY CODED!!! i don’t know why but i can see her listening to artists like that. she’d definitely listen to upbeat music as well, but she strikes me as such a lana type of girl and i feel like phoebe would be good aswell. and boygenius!!! this just screams emily to me. you two could share earbuds on the jet!! couple goals! also you being british is so emily’s type. she’s attracted to accents, let me tell you. she hears it once and she’s all heart eyes, slack jaw, in love. the bluntness wouldn’t really cancel out, but it’d impress her! she’d like the fact that you’re willing to speak your opinion and express how you feel and all, especially since she does the same so you don’t have to tiptoe around everything. you don’t like something, you can just say it. and she’d love that so much. as for the lemon tea, i can honestly say i have no idea what emily would drink or enjoy but!! would definitely make it for you. she’d try to downplay it like it’s no big deal, it barely took any time, don’t mention it. seriously, don’t mention it. but it’s just so cute and it’s how you know she likes you!! acts of service is so her love language. (that & quality time)
