And I just love this whole show in general. It really is amazing. This is one of the top shows I'm watching right now. I look forward to every episode every single week. The ensemble cast is incredible and they have a genuine chemistry that really helps to make this show work. And it is beyond obvious that everyone involved, in front of the camera and behind it, loves this project and has put all of their passion into it. I am so happy this show came into existence and I really, really, really hope it doesn't get canceled after one season. This show deserves to keep seeing the light of day and all of the love it gets. This was the right choice to make the attempt at a western show of this era for mainstream TV.

You had just gotten your wife back, not knowing how, never asked. Too scared something would happen again.

“Y/n?” she nudges your shoulder. “Um- yeah, what is it?” you ask, taking attention away from cleaning the living room. “Nothing important, you need any help?” she gestures to your cleaning.

You smile, shaking your head. “No I'm fine.” “That wasn't a question. I'm helping you.” you were taken aback, nevertheless letting her help you.

“O...kay.” furrowing your brows, clearing the floor of toys and candy wrappers. “Mama look! Nicky threw up.” Natasha stops helping, running off to the kids room.

You get up, walking to the room. “Here, give him to me Nat.” you cradle the baby, taking a wipe to wipe off his face. “Ali, honey can you get Nicky a shirt please?” “I'll do it.” Natasha hands you one of your sons shirts.

“Thanks..” you take it smiling at her, then changing the baby. “Mommy we have to go gross shopping.” you laugh, correcting her. “Grocery shopping Aliana.” “Ya!” she nods, walking off to some other room.

“I'm going with you.” you button up the baby's shirt, turning to look at your wife. “Natasha, I don't think taking the baby out in public this early would be right, stay with Nikolai at home.” “I don't care, I'm going. With you. I'll call Yelena to watch him.”

Confused, but still not asking. “Alright.. Ali let's go!”

You walk around the store, Aliana running around in front of you, “Aliana don't leave mommy and mama's sight okay?” “Okay!”

“Should we put her in the cart?” you take something off of the shelves, looking at Natasha. “No.. that's fine I trust her.”

“Okay.” she kisses your neck, walking to go see where your daughter went. You eventually find them in the toy section. “Mommy can I get this?” you look at what she's holding. “Ali, sweetie you're gonna lose it as soon as we get in the car, I'm saying no. Ask mama.”

“I'll buy it for her.” she says, putting the toy in the cart. You shrug, going to check out. “Hey there gorgeous, got any plans tonight?” some random guy behind you in the line asks.

... “Detka who's this?” Natasha comes up behind you, pulling a possessive hand to your waist. “I don't know.” the man scoffs, walking away to a different line.

“Don't go anywhere without me Y/n.” she bends down to whisper in your ear. “Yeah– okay.” you squeak out.

At home, you offer Yelena to stay, but she leaves saying her and Kate? have a girls night tonight so she had to go.

You lie in bed, hearing the rooms door open. “My beautiful girl..” Natasha walks up to you, settling down on the bed as well.

“Hi Natty.” you smile at her. She kisses you passionately, cupping your jaw with her hands. “I missed this so much.” she says, in between kisses.

Bringing a hand down, slipping her fingers in between your legs. You moan softly, gripping onto her hair. “Natasha!” she stops, looking at you. “What is it kotenok? Am I hurting you? What's wrong? Tell me.”

You blink, pulling away from her. “What's wrong with you?” she widens her eyes, hesitantly opens her mouth to talk. “I– I can't lie to you anymore can I?”

You back away from her, getting off the bed. “What do you mean Tasha? What lies?” “I'm not from this universe.” you gasp, backing up into the wall.

“Baby don't hate me. Please I can't see you hate me.” you shake your head, processing what she said. “I don't hate you I just–”

“In my universe you and the kids get killed when I'm away on a mission.” she admits, looking at you. “Natasha.. you-” “Please just. Don't. It was my fault I shouldn't have left.” tears escape her eyes, she looks away from you.

You move closer to her, straddling her lap. “Oh.. Natty don't cry. I don't hate you Natasha it wasn't your fault. Please.” you wipe away her tears, taking her face in your hands.

She leans in, kissing you gently. You kiss back, moaning softly. “I love you. So much Y/n.” “Shh.. I know Nat, I love you too.”

Anthony is very careful not to ask Kate on a date.

He shuffles inside her shop and ruffles his hair a little awkwardly as she says

"And who is the lucky lady today?" Taking out a slip and Anthony just shrugged.

"I'm actually, not here about flowers today or like... I guess I kind of am?" Anthony could feel sweat beading on his forehead, feel the panic in his chest as Kate stared at him, a little bemused.

"O...kay?"

"I just-" He cut himself off, taking a deep breath, his mind racing and a lie fell from his lips. "My um- My Mum she bought tickets to the Chelsea flower show next Saturday and it turns out she can't go so she gave them to me and I thought- I thought you like flowers."

Kate blinked at him, her lips parted in surprise her brow furrowing. "Oh! Um!"

"Okay!" Anthony said, whirling around, "You don't want to go! This was stupid, I'll take Hyacinth and-"

"You can pick me up at 9, Anthony." Kate called out as he swung the door open, "Unless you want to meet there."

Anthony took a shuddering breath, his pulse pounding in his ears. "No, I'll- I'll pick you up here. We can like... hang out."

"Yeah, we can hang out."

Episode 7 season 2 ✨

I'M ALIVE!!! 🙌🏼

Sorry this analysis has taken me so long to post, but I'm trying to get a degree, life has been chaos lately, but here I am and I have quite a bit to say, let's get started, and hang on because these are going to be two long posts.

First the beginning, this scene with Tennant hit me in the face and the episode wasn't even 4 minutes in, because even though we knew Lucy wouldn't be in a few episodes -all thanks to the rumors turning out to be true- I wasn't expecting the opening scene to give us the news. Other than that, I love Jane's reaction to the way Lucy asks how and if they can stop her name from being the first choice, because she gives her the news with a smile on her face and Lucy's reaction is to try to run away from the situation.

It's not until Lucy says it, life isn't the same as it was when she applied for that position, she has things to lose and reasons to stay, she doesn't want to just take a job that will keep her away for months

The way Jane comes close to make Lucy feel safe to say what she really feels, without losing the boss position, Lucy is her agent and she cares, but she also knows this assignment is the right thing for Lucy and for her career, she doesn't tell her what to do, but makes it clear it's good for her

I love Kai asking right away what Kate thinks about the situation and the way he reacts surprised and almost scolds Lucy for telling him before her, because he knows that what he can tell her is not going to convince her to stay or go, in a way he was helping her by pushing her to talk to Kate

Lucy has a point, it's valid that she wants to find out how she feels before she finds out how Kate feels, and that's what she demonstrates from the scene with Tennant, Lucy never says she doesn't want to go, she's worried about Kate, about how she's going to feel and her conversation with Kai is what she lets us see, she doesn't want to upset Kate with how she feels, she wants to let Kate feel without having to worry about anything other than her own feelings

Again, Kai doesn't tell her what to do or what not to do, he tells her it's a good opportunity and walks away, leaving Lucy alone with her thoughts

I watched the preview for this scene so many times I think I know it by heart, I almost had a heart attack when the preview cut to Lucy admitting she was ignoring Kate, but the context gave me a chance to reflect, so here goes

I love the way Kate can read Lucy and immediately knows something is wrong.

And the way one look Kate gives Lucy tells what was really going on.

Now, this was what let me know what was one of the reasons Lucy wanted to find out how she felt before she told Kate, because then Kate would find out why Lucy applied for the job.

You were so upset with me that you wanted to go as far away as you could, on a boat, in the middle of the thing you hate most

Everything on this island reminded me of you

But that's not how I feel anymore

I saw a lot of discussion -on twitter more than here- about how Lucy wanting to leave as an afloat agent was out of character Try getting your heart broken to see if you guys don't want to go as far away as you can in whatever way you can

I have to say that I understand Lucy wanting to leave, since we saw her hurt, we saw her not wanting to deal with her feelings, stay angry so she wouldn't give herself time to be sad. So, it's understandable that being the way she is all she would want to do would be to put herself in any other situation that would keep her mind on something else and not her feelings, I don't blame her, because if I could, I would try to sabotage myself that way as well.

So what are you gonna do?

Kate's reaction - and the amount of times she blinks to avoid tears -I was saying this to Ev @hashtag-kawaii - I have always felt that every action Kate takes, every thing she says or does she does with her previous mistake in mind, she does it wanting to prove that she is indeed making things right, so finding out that Lucy wanted to get off the island any way she could when Kate hurt her, made her feel the guilt of her mistake again, that's why her reaction is to ask what Lucy will do instead of letting out how she is feeling at that moment. But again, this is just the way I think she feels, nothing truthful just what is in my mind.

And the "I love you" I honestly don't want to talk about this, but I'll just say that I was disappointed in the way the writers used it to make it as if Lucy was proving a point rather than saying it because she was actually feeling it. I already mentioned that I think Kate's smile was because it's the first time Lucy has said it so naturally in a not so intimate moment, and that's all I'll say about that.

And now it's Kate's turn to be left alone with her thoughts and with the thousand things I'm sure she was feeling.

This specific moment of the conversation with Ernie is what I want to highlight, because once again, he is not telling her what to do, he is not telling her that it is a good opportunity for her, he is not telling her that she should talk it over with Kate, and I know it is because he knew that Lucy was asking him expecting a sincere answer, because she trusts him and knows he wants the best for her, and that is precisely why he is not saying anything, because his answer would have been thinking about everything she is feeling rather than what is the right thing to do.

[To be completely honest and somewhat candid, this is just a product of me thinking how the heck am I gonna beat the sentiments I wrote in the Thanksgiving letter and not sound repetitive]

To my dearest TZP Squad,

Here's a letter...

As 2023 draws to a close, I find myself thinking about this rollercoaster of a journey we've shared over the few months that I've been in this beautiful fandom. To each and every one of you who has become a part of my year, I want to express my deepest gratitude.

This year, especially the last 4-5 months, has been a wild ride with ups and downs in between, and in those moments, you have given me warmth, laughter, and a profound sense of connection. From shared smiles to small but lovely interactions, you have brightened the latter part of my year with your presence.

To quote our dearest Alex Claremont-Diaz: "You have made my life immeasurably better".

My dearest TZP Squad, thank you for being the the source of my smile during both the sunny days and stormy nights. Like I said before, if Taylor is the sunshine, you guys are the solar energy. You simply further ignite the positive energy that Taylor gives and I love you all for that.

To those who let me speak my unfiltered thoughts, big or small, know that your support has warmed my heart and your short and sweet replies have made it more meaningful. I am grateful for the shared joy in our collective achievements as a fandom, and what we've achieved this year (a.k.a Taylor seeing the birthday project) is only just the beginning of a beautiful fandom journey.

My dears, all I can really say is thank you! In the many years that I have been in multiple fandoms, I have never been in such a beautiful fandom like this. This is probably the one fandom that I'll forever treasure until time ends. I am lucky to have you (as virtual friends) and for sure, Taylor is lucky to have you who is always there to love, support, cherish and defend him.

Let's continue to share and express the mutual love we have for TZP, whether that be by simply appreciating how good he looks or thirsting over him on a feral level (oh yeah, I see TZP thirst posts daily), let's just continue to do it because it's one of my most favorite things about this little fandom family of ours.

Kacy - 207 - Vanishing Act

Hellooo. First post. Bit nervous. My thoughts on Kacy in the recent episode. I initially posted this on Twitter and am not finished with making gifs yet, so this is pretty much mostly an all words post.

I really enjoyed the episode overall. I was very bummed that Lucy will be gone for 4 months and Kacy will be apart. They are in a good place and the timing really sucks and I'm still very much in my feels about the beach scene, especially near the end. Honestly, I wasn't very tuned in to the plot because my focus and attention was on how Lucy and Kate were feeling. How Lucy was struggling about not wanting to be apart from Kate because she really just wants to 'sit on a hill' with her and not go on any adventures, but at the same time it's also a great opportunity for her career.

I understand and can see why some people say it doesn't make sense. Lucy's - 'feet, water, death' - literally going into the middle of the dark abyss for 4 months for a position she applied for and was rejected when her and Kate were broken up - I know there are feelings about that as well because old wounds were brought back, plus the indications of Lucy's action. Lucy reacted and from personal experience, reactions lack a thought process. While it makes no sense that Lucy would apply for a position that keeps her on a ship for x amount of months, it also makes sense at the same time because when you’re hurting, decisions can be irrational. She was running away from her feelings and I guess a ship made sense at the time. Makes me think maybe that's also why she chose to come to Hawaii - maybe to get as far away from her family as possible?

Kate. Her feelings when she found out why Lucy applied for the position definitely brought up old wounds, even more so because Kate had no idea and the reason she applied was because of Kate. I hear you - the people who are saying Kate sacrificed her career to stay close to Lucy - choosing Lucy over her career - and now Lucy's choosing her career over Kate and is off to take a position that's going to benefit her career? Back in season one, they were broken up and Kate made that decision on her own because that is what she wanted. The job in DC, compared to the position on the ship, is permanent. The situations, contexts and emotions involved are very different. Lucy will be back and they'll be together in the same place again. It just really sucks being long distance. We have seen that their relationship has grown and how they’re able to talk to one another later on at the beach shows that.

The beach scene. I'm happy that they were able to talk openly, honestly and showed vulnerability. Lucy saying (and essentially calling herself out), "it's hard for me believing that because I don't know if you've noticed, I have trust issues" and Kate knowing that after she tells Lucy "I'm not going anywhere" is, I have to admit, not what I expected. I love that though - they're able to talk to each other like that and this is a decision made by both of them. Kate here, is definitely the best girlfriend for supporting Lucy and having her best interest at heart even though it hurts that they’ll be apart for four months very soon. The reassurances she gives her. Definitely the best.

I’ll miss Lucy and Kacy scenes, but I’m very much looking forward to Kate working with Kai in the next episode. Maybe they’ll have some chagaccinos while working on AJ’s case since Kai seemed to have liked it? 😆

Ruah’s no stranger to being behind the camera for the NCISverse. She directed six episodes of LA (seen above) and one of the mothership earlier this season. “This [Hawai’i episode] was a bigger challenge than the other ones, I think, because it was an incredible storyline, and add to that, that it was a new cast and crew for me, but it was, oh my gosh, I had the absolute best time,” she raves to TV Insider. “I called my husband after day one. I was like, ‘We have to move here. I want to keep working with these guys.’”

In the aptly-titled “The Next Thousand,” when a Marine is murdered during training on the Big Island, the team tracks the suspect deep into the woods and discovers a disturbing secret. Below, Ruah talks about directing this episode, reuniting with her LA co-star LL COOL J (who’s a special guest star on Hawai’i this season), and more.

It’s wild that we’re on 1,001 episodes and counting of the franchise.

Daniela Ruah: I know! And by the way, I am so honored to have been given Episode 1,001. I mean, that’s insane.

When we spoke for one of the episodes of LA you directed, you said you like directing both action and character-driven moments and you get both with this Hawai’i episode. What excited you most about the story when you read the script? 

First of all, the case itself really takes you in one direction, and then the episode about three-quarters in kind of flips on its head. … You take the audience on a journey in this episode, for sure.

The fact that we got to shoot in forestry and jungle areas, just the production value, the richness of that was really exciting. And then add to that, the sort of volcanic barren area that you get to contrast that with diving into Tennant’s [Vanessa Lachey] past is also really interesting. Showrunners Matt Bosack, Jan Nash, and Christopher Silber, who wrote the episode, did an exceptional job, not only with the story, but also the dialogue. And oh my gosh, our guest cast was absolutely phenomenal, and they carried this episode just as much as our main cast.

The case takes everyone in different directions so you got to play with different pairings.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I have to say, I think Alex [Tarrant] and Noah [Mills] are so charming together. Those guys really love each other in real life. So watching their chemistry, they’re so different. Alex’s character Kai is so zen, and he’s so connected to the island. And then you have Noah’s character, who’s not originally from that area. So that contrast is really cute to play with.

And then, yeah, Kate [Tori Anderson] and Sam [LL COOL J], I loved watching those two together, to be honest with you. The guy who’s so comfortable with himself and is used to using his gut to solve things as well as obviously facts and science, and she’s by-the-book and still learning to kind of relax into a case and just solve it with every tool you have, which includes your gut. So yeah, it was really cool to watch these pairings.

And then Vanessa was such a game player. She was so open to just diving into an intense emotional journey with these scenes that she had. Yeah, I love directing, and every time I direct an episode of something, I’m extremely happy. And this latest one just made me fall in love with directing even more.

You also reunited with LL COOL J and directed him again. And this episode really lets Sam be funny.

I know. I love it when Kate walks in and she’s got all these files and he’s got parfait. [Laughs] Yeah, working with Todd, it is like we never skipped a beat. It’s like no time had passed between seeing him at the end of last year on our show and seeing him now. I mean, in his own words, we’re homies. He’s my guy. It’s been 14 years of growing next to him and finding my stride as an actor and finding my stride as a director. And he’s been nothing but supportive and gracious and kind and open. Yeah, I mean, it’s Todd, it’s Uncle Todd to my kids.

Now that you’ve directed NCIS, NCIS: LA, and NCIS: Hawai’i, is there something you specifically enjoy about directing each one?

I love directing on our show because obviously it’s where I started. It’s the show where I was the most comfortable. I knew the characters, the tone, the rhythm, the crew, the cinematographer who I worked closely with. There were no surprises there. And I had a team of people who knew me so well that they weren’t going to let me fail, if I forget something because I’m new at it and it’s a lot of multitasking. No one was going to let me drop the ball at anything. So I really had that support. I would say that actually goes for all three shows, but that was just where my passion for it all began.

And then the mothership is an incredibly well-oiled machine. I definitely knew the cast from before, not just from crossovers, but our characters got introduced on their show. So I knew a lot of the crew members as well, and the producers and people who started off on set and rose up throughout the years into being into the production office. So there was a big comfort level there. And being a fan of NCIS, I had watched a bunch of episodes prior to that. So I just feel like I knew the characters really, really well, and that brought a lot of comfort to me as a director. I just felt like I was coming home. It was interesting. As soon as I walked onto their set, I was like, “I feel like I’m home.” And this wasn’t even my show.

And then with NCIS: Hawai’i, you have so many exterior scenes—the mothership is set in D.C. but it’s shot in Santa Clarita, so you actually have to be very careful about how you shoot exteriors, not to make it look like you’re in California, you have to make it look like you’re in D.C.. So there’s actually a lot of sets that are built and that you’re inside for. And in Hawai’i, it was more similar to our show where you’re actually shooting where the show is set so you can shoot as much as you want of the outside, and that really visually enriches their show. But also they’re in Season 3, so they’re still finding their characters, and I think it’s really, really fun to be in that process with them of finding new things that they haven’t done before. So, yeah, I just love the NCISverse, let’s face it.

And Benedict told him it was a bad idea. Benedict sat there, watching Anthony tattoo it on his forearm like-

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Yes," Anthony scoffed, dipping the machine in more ink. "I think this is a great idea."

"Let's recap." Ben tutted, "Your girlfriend found out she was pregnant two weeks ago, she's been feeling really nauseated and not herself and you think... Hey why don't I tattoo her as a pinup, that'll help!"

"I'm showing her that no matter what," Anthony flicked his brother's ear, "I'm committed to this relationship, and I'm always going to see her as the hottest woman ever."

"This seems like a flawed plan."

"What are you even doing here, Edwina?!"

"Telling you this is a bad fucking idea."

So he was nervous, honestly, to go home. He was nervous to go next door to see Kate at the end of the day with his forearm wrapped in plastic film and his jacket already on.

"You feeling okay?"

Kate nodded though she sighed tiredly, her arms snaking around his waist. "Yeah, I'm just... tired."

"Let's go home then, I'll make you dinner, whatever you feel like."

"I just really want a cheeseburger."

"I'll get you ten cheeseburgers then."

"You're my dream guy." Kate reached around, and before he could stop her she squeezed his arm in a soft gesture, the way she always did.

"Ow!"

He couldn't stop himself and he saw Kate's eyes go wide. "Are you okay?"

Anthony stared back at her for a long moment, her eyes searching his and then he sighed, She was going to see it soon enough anyway, he might as well get it over with. "So, I had a reason for getting you to drop me here before you went to the flower market this morning. I gave myself a new tattoo."

Kate's brow furrowed, confused by the seriousness of his tone. "O...kay?"

He shrugged off his jacket, twisting his arm so she couldn't quite see the tattoo yet. "I know that you're... not feeling yourself right now but I am... so fucking excited to be doing this with you and I just wanted to show you that I love you. And nothing's ever going to change that."

She took his arm, turning it gently and tugging at the plastic wrap. Her lips parted in surprise when she saw herself inked on his skin, her long legs stretched down his forearm, a bucket of tulips at her feet, her own face winking back at her.

"I've now been assured this is a terrible idea so I can cover it up but-"

Kate cut him off by dragging him forward, her hands twisted in the front of his shirt and their lips crashed together.

"Don't you fucking dare."

Anthony breathed a sigh of relief as she pressed her forehead against his, her fingers playing gently with the ends of his hair, "Okay."

And the next day he can hardly believe it when he hears the bell ding at the front counter and he tossed out a

"Won't be a sec!" as he unpacked his new ick from the box, displaying it neatly on the shelf behind his station.

"I just have a delivery for you."

His head snapped up at the sound of Kate's breathless voice and his stomach dropped as soon as he saw her, leaning against the doorframe, in the same blue and white striped dress as the first time he'd seen her, the same one immortalised on his arm. She was winking at him, standing on one leg, the other popped backwards with a bouquet of flowers in her hands.

"Oh, please, don't tell me you liked that tattoo!"

"Ben, get the fuck out of here." Kate sighed, "Edwina's waiting to commiserate next door. She also has a plan to get Hyacinth's teacher to like you?"

"Bye!"

Kacy Drabble - Movie Night

It's team movie night and they're all at Jane's. The sofa is the prime spot for watching the movie. Jane gets a spot automatically because it's her house. Kate had snagged a seat at the other end because she'd been talking to Jane. Ernie goes for the chair and that just leaves the floor for Jesse and Kai. Neither one of them is fighting Lucy for that middle seat.

The movie of the night is Crazy Rich Asians. Kate had the books on a shelf in the apartment, but Lucy hadn't gotten around to them. At moment, she's halfway through one of Kate's other books. She can't remember if she's seen this one or not.

They're ten minutes in, as Rachel Chu and Nick Young are being led back to their private suite on the plane, Jesse calls out for it to be paused. Then he and Kai turn to look at her.

"What?" It takes a second for her to get it. "Okay, no. My family is not that comfortable. That's on a whole other level!"

"You're saying that you and Kate wouldn't be occupying a private suite on a flight to Dallas?" asks Kai. "... that's not how I meant it to sound..." he mumbles a second later. Kate turns bright red and stares down into the bowl of popcorn on her lap.

"First class is fine. It's the only way Kate will have enough leg room. Now watch the movie."

She likes the movie and is glad Kate meeting her own family won't be anywhere near as hard as Rachel meeting Nick's. Mainly, because she plans on skipping that. Kate's met her NCIS family. The family that counts. The one that matters to her. And she's been embraced by them that means more than any of them could know. She reaches over and steals a handful of popcorn from the bowl and snuggles in.

She catches Kai and Jesse wanting to turn and look at her at various points during the film. Probably wanting to ask if there's someone in her family tree like Bernard or Astrid. How big does her family go on parties and that kind of thing. Every time she sees them start to turn, she gives their heads a shove with her socked feet. She wasn't going to waste the popcorn by throwing it at their heads.

There's a small part of her that worries that if she were to take Kate to meet her family, it would end a lot like the movie does. With her chasing Kate through an airport and a plane. Feeling Kate's arm go around her shoulders, Lucy remembers she already left that life behind her. She doesn't plan on going back. Her place is here, next to her girlfriend and surround by her family. Nuzzling into Kate's side as the credits start to role, Lucy cuts them off.

"No! I am not answering any questions from you guys!" She smiles and buries her face into Kate's shoulder as the guys bombard her with them anyway. She loves it.

Hi! If you were around earlier or have just happened upon this in the tags, I’ve somewhat drafted up a couple chapters of a Hobbit fic I’ve had in the works over the past year.

I plan for it to be an insert of me and my friend in the hobbit (I’ll describe it more in bullet point at the end) and we’ve shipped ourselves each a character.
