i see backrooms struggles and i raise you; backrooms monster that keeps hunting you. not to harm you! never to hurt you! but to keep you safe and with them forever!
they never ever want you to leave and are willing to trap you in an endless game of cat and mouse to keep it that way.
and when they catch you? sure, you're screaming and struggling, but that's out of joy and excitement that your mate has finally found you! what do you mean you're scared??🥺
you always slip away, but that's alright! they love you so much they're more than willing to keep playing with you 💜💜💜
(may i be ☁️ anon, please?)
Clearly your species likes to chase! It makes sense, to show your mate can always hunt for you and catch you, shows their strength and prowess! Why do you act so scared every time?
Ah, that must be your instinctual reaction then! You wouldn't be truly be scared of your mate would you? They'd be so sad to know they scared you!
Why must you keep trying to leave the nest? The equipment gathered isn't easy to find you know! Its also warm, keeps you safe, and even blocks out those annoying lights! Hmm, maybe they need to find more food for you? Oh! Wait you humans like to find shiny things don't you? They've found a lot of them being down here! Sharp, some make loud banging noises, some play weird pictures on them, there's just so many neat shiny things!
Perhaps they haven't courted you correctly? They know they're much larger and therefore seen as intimidating to other creatures, that's usually a catch, but you are human, so maybe you need something more? They'll be sure to ask after you stop throwing such an adorable fit and get back to their nest!

💫what is your favorite kind of comment/feedback?
The long ones that analyze everything.
The ones that basically liveblog the entire chapter.
The ones that ask questions.
People are always apologizing for leaving me long comments, like BRO. I am in a constant state of salivating over the thought of talking about my blorbos. When I see a long comment I literally want to do a dance.
💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language
The straightforward answer, the characters. A story can survive a dumb plot, it can survive silly worldbuilding. It cannot survive a boring cast. That's what you remember of a story.
My own answer, how the story makes the audience feel. The plot takes a backseat to manipulating the readers into feeling things. I didn't keep Donnie chained to a table for fifteen chapters because it was a riveting plot point, okay, I did it because that was necessary to make you guys feel shit. Specifically the shit I wanted you to feel when we did move onto more interesting plot points.
🍭why did you start writing?
I think...way back when I was a little kid, when I started writing little stories in notebooks meant for school. I was a voracious reader, pretty much the second I got it down I was reading constantly. We got an assignment I think in like the third grade or something to write out our version of a fairy tale. I did Rumpelstiltskin (I don't remember if I chose it or it was assigned; if I chose I chose poorly because that's one of my least favorite fairy tales) and I wrote so much that the teacher cut me off halfway so someone else could present. Realizing that I could change stories to be whatever I wanted, that was a game changer.
I was writing essentially fanfiction for children's stories in the margins of my notebook from then on. I probably even did some TMNT stuff when I became obsessed with the 2003 show. God, and I'm back at it again, twenty years later.

Hello! I have long enjoyed your various AU's and have recently formed quite an interest in your Red Room au. I was hoping to ask if I may use the premise of the Red Room (with all credit for the idea of the rooms going to you, of course) with one (or a few) of my Yandere OCs partaking in the services provided with their darlings
Oh! Of course! Thank you so much for asking <3 If you wanna share anything you make with this feel free to show me! But yeah, go for it bean, let that creativity flow!
