Roowlf the dog - roowlf the dog is rowlf's rival, he is an annoyed, ignorant, tough And rude dog in the moopets Show gang, he is 30 years old like rowlf and he is bisexual, he is dating Scarlett the black-haired whatnot. He plays the piano just like rowlf, but with more rougher sounds And tones on the piano, And he dislikes when someone tells him what to do. Flora - Flora Sindran is Floyd Pepper's rival, she is an arrogant, sassy And flirty Lady in the moopets Show gang, she is 23 years old like floyd And she is bisexual, And she is dating janooce. She plays the electric guitar in the Dark Mayhem band, And she likes being with janooce. Her headcanon voice actress is Maria Darling, And her voice claim is Cici from roary the racing car.

Zotts - zotts is zoot's rival, he is an arrogant, sarcastic, sorta sassy And ignorant Guy in the moopets Show gang, he is 23 years old like Zoot and he is pansexual, he is dating lipst. He plays the trumpet in the Dark Mayhem band, And he likes flirting with anyone especially lipst when he has the time. Prison break 2

Calvin was starting his second week on the job. And he was assigned the unit where they had to keep all the harder criminals.

Calvin was making his rounds. He was told not to get too close to the inmate in cell 420. There was a red line outside his cell because He was unpredictable. And dangerous. He was told to never cross that line. But he seemed like an alright guy. Calvin spoke with the man frequently that week. And over the next few months whenever Calvin was staffed on the unit he would prop a chair up outside the cell and speak with prisoner in cell 420. The man’s name was Jake. And he told Calvin about the acts that lead him here. He seems to have changed. Drug possession abs armed robbery. Every one robbery that went bad and ended with someone getting shot. But that they lived. Calvin Hated it for him.

Mail call came and he walked by Jake was in his cell looking down at his feet. “What’s wrong big guy?” Calvin asked. Jake explained how he had been writing this girl for a while through the pen pal program. She had sent pictures to him and he pointed at them all the wall of his cell. “She’s saying that she wants to get married. But I don’t want to get married while I’m stuck in here. That’s not doing her right you know ?” Calvin hated it for the Jake. “Well bud. I’m not sure what I can do for ya.” Calvin said just looking at Jake. “Yeah man I know. Hey can you deliver this to the mail room when you get a chance.” He said holding out a letter through the bars. Calvin reached forward to get the card not noticing he had crossed the red line.

That was all Jake needed. When Calvin reached forward for the card Jake grabbed his hand and yanked him close. Flipped Calvin around on the bars and help him against them. His arm around his neck in a choke hold. Calvin tried to his the panic button but couldn’t. And there was no one there to help. Jake whispered into Calvin’s ear “ I summon the forces of darkness and shadow. To take our sacrifice and alter the our line. Switch out bodies and this space. What’s mine is yours and what’s yours is now mine”. A gust of wind came down the cell and Calvin and jakes vision both blurred. Calvin was released from jakes grasp.

When Calvin’s vision cleared he screamed. As he was now looking at his body on the other side of the bars. He looked down and seen the orange pants abs muscled tattooed chest of Jake. “What have you done !” Calvin demanded. “I told you. She wants to get married. And I couldn’t do it in that body. Now. If you don’t mind. I have a wedding to go to. Oh and I think I’ll be delivering this note personally”. Jake said as he picked the card up from the floor. “You can’t leave me like this ! This isn’t right ! Give me my body back !!” “Sorry there JAKE. That was a one way trip and no way back. You’re stuck in there just I’m stuck in here” he looked down “and what a body to be stuck in… I think I’ll be adding some tattoos to this body real soon.” Calvin was left there. In Jake’s bod. The real Jake quit his job leaving the real Calvin trapped with no one believing that it was really him trapped in the body of a criminal. At least he was able have pen pals. Maybe he could find someone to help change him back ?

I think about the fact that of all the confirmed upcoming mcu projects, the only ones with poc as leads are cap 4 with Sam as captain america, armor wars with Rhodey as the main focus, ironheart with Riri as the main character and Blade. I worry that after the marvels and deadpool 3 potentially doing "better" at the box office, Disney is gonna go back to the whole "white sells" situation and I don't want that and will be angry if that happens. Feels like the only want to prevent that is to support those projects and there's already backlash with cap 4 having a character named Sabra

It is very disappointing. Speaking of Deadpool 3, Zazie Beetz isn't returning for her role as Domino! :( I share your fear on Marvel becoming mostly White again, which is I'll have to spend my money and stream the shows that have actors of color in the leads. Since that's the only way they seem to be listening :(

At the end of the day, I think you're right in that all we can do is talk with our dollars. I don't know what they're planning on doing with the character Sabra among the Palestinian genocide currently going on.

In Newsweek Magazine it said:

"It's potentially offensive, because spotlighting an Israeli superhero, specifically an Israeli intelligence anti-terrorist, on this global scale, with the wide reach that Marvel has, risks further polarization," she told Newsweek. "It could be seen as Marvel and the United States supporting and aggrandizing Israel's policies."

Personally, I think having Sabra in the film isn't a bad thing but I can only see that happening better if she's the villain. After all, there are Nazi characters and government officials throughout MCU films and shows.

And:

Sabra's nationalism is not unique in Marvel comics. The 1960s introduced readers to Red Guardian—the communist Russian version of Captain America, played by David Harbour in Black Widow (2021)—while other cultural counterparts include Captain Britain, who was gifted magic powers by King Arthur's sorcerer pal Merlin. According to Schneider, Marvel could give Sabra the same treatment it gave Red Guardian, fleshing her out into a more complex character that doesn't rely on stereotypes. "Perhaps this is an opportunity for a character to experience life and love from both sides of this conflict," she said.

Allegedly (because I haven't read the comics): "Sabra went on to feature in some stories that weren't very pro-Israel, it was already weird back then."

Everything is still up in the air, it seems. Personally, I wished they would go a different route but only using good writers. I hope it won't be another Captain America: Serpent Society --> Captain America: Civil War

lmao okay so dark subway au is essentially just like. this barbcat fic I’ve been kicking around since like July 2021 that I’m finally actually putting effort into. basically it’s like robert’s rebellion in the 90s in Canada but mostly centred around Barb and Cat and their weird gay little situationship during that time which becomes a full on relationship during the au agot/acok era. but while all this is going on Barb Domeric Theon and Kyra are all employed at the same subway in Toronto lmao. like her managing a subway is still a major plot point although in this au she and Theon end up as roommates briefly and Domeric doesn’t die until around aCoK timeframe. it’s weird but I unironically think it slays. Bethany is a beanie baby collector. Barb and Cat start out as pen pals. Anyway tldr it is Dark Subway AU because it is still an au which involves a subway but it’s way darker than regular subway au bc like ppl die and Roose is less of an iPad Dad and more of an actual terrible freak

Here's some more about my wip original story "Of Dragons and Unicorns" (prepare for an essay long info dump). Thank you @catkin-morgs for asking about it!

I originally started this idea around 2017 and it was completely different. It was about the princess, still named Sylvia, who was led to a crashed dragon by her horse during a ride. The dragon gives her an egg to take care of, which shocks Sylvia because she didn't think dragons existed. The egg hatches and she has to keep it a secret from this visiting kingdom but little does she know, the kingdom secretly has dragons. There was also a love triangle between the Sylvia, the prince, and this horse breeder that wore a mask for some reason??? I don't know, young me was obsessed with love triangles.

Then sometime around 2021 I decided to revamp the idea. I wanted to make every kingdom have a mythical creature and since I'm a horse girl I made Sylvia's kingdom the unicorn kingdom. She also has a brother who she used to be close to until he married into and became king of the pegasus kingdom. So she's pretty lonely since she's a judgmental introvert and thinks other royal kids are boring; her only friends are the stable keeper and the unicorns he keeps (there isn't a love story between them, the stable keeper is happily married). Sylvia laments about being betrothed to the prince of the dragon kingdom, Crown Prince of Drakes, Eluard. She doesn't know him since they met once when they were around 4-5 years old and when she was 10-ish she tired to reach out to him via letter but she never got one back. So the only things she knows about Eluard are rumors people tell about him, like how he tamed his first dragon at 2 years old and that dragons feared him. But she thinks he's a pompous jerk because the portraits he sends annually depict him as an emotionless and cold. But when the dragon royalty arrive for her debutante ball, she sees that Eluard looks nothing like his portraits (i.e. kind, freckled, tall, more stout than jacked). He's either super formal with her or gets nervous, especially when his brother tries to play match maker to get him and Sylvia closer. That only leads to Eluard getting more distant to Sylvia which makes her think that he was just trying to trick her with a first impression. She resents him up until her debutante ball where the two dance and she freaks out because she does not want to get married. She excuses herself then escapes into the garden. While she's trying to calm herself down, Eluard comes out to check on her. This causes her to go off on him and basically rant about the awful person she thinks he is until she can't breathe. Eluard then asks what he did to make her think all that because he was trying his hardest to abide by her kingdoms customs and she tells him that he showed who he was all the way back when he didn't answer her letter. Lo and behold, Eluard did write her back but his letter got lost in the mail so he thought that he came off too strong in the letter and scared Sylvia off. Sylvia is shocked as her preconceived notions come crashing down around her, so the two of them sit in the garden and get to know each other. Originally, this part ended with the two becoming pen pals and starting to grow a friendship.

That's where I originally stopped writing, but I planned on this story idea to be two books: one taking place in Sylvia's kingdom while the other takes place in Eluard's kingdom. The second one would be about a year later after the two had kept up with one another, where Sylvia would be moving to the dragon kingdom. Since the two of them are more friendly, Eluard shows her around the castle/the towns around the castle and introduces her to a bunch of people and dragons. It becomes clear to her that his people adore him and he adores his people. At a party celebrating her arrival, Eluards estranged twin brother crashes the party to mock his family and meet Sylvia. He eventually gets chased off and Eluard has to sit Sylvia down to explain the whole curse thing to her. She's surprised but accepts that it doesn't change who he is. Then at some point while Eluard and her were out for a scenic ride they get attacked by the brother and his crew of dragons and they steal Sylvia. Sylvia, however, hates the brother more than she fears him and makes his life a living hell until Eluard comes to try to save her. The brother gives her up instantly and idk they live happily ever after. I haven't really thought about the second one too much, those are just some ideas I have for it.

My inspiration for the unicorn kingdom is a usual vague European fantasy world that most fantasy stories take place in. There are a ton of different unicorn species like nocturnal ones aside from the ones that have obviously been selectively bred. For the dragon kingdom, however, I wanted it to be like a fantasy wild west with cowboys and bandits and dragons instead of horses. I got a lot of inspiration for the terrain from a trip to South Dakota because I just fell in love with all the nature and different biomes like the the black hills and badlands. I imagine that the capital would be in a badlands like area where the castle was carved from one of the huge rock formations like this one

For Eluard's dragon, I wanted him to have a Drake (wingless dragon) because I imagine he has a fear of flying because his twin dropped him once while he was flying (brother's curse gives him dragon wings, Eluard's doesn't). I see him having a huge drake that looks intimidating but is literally his best friend. I envision the drake kinda looking like a bison, but I couldn't make it look the way I wanted to. Here are some sketches I made, but none of them really felt right

While I'm on the topic of sketches, I have drawn Eluard and Sylvia a few times in the past to help get a good picture of them in my head.

This was the first drawing I made all the way back in 2021. I knew I wanted Sylvia to have a graceful and elegant look to her to contradict how snippy and blunt she is. Her look doesn't change a whole lot in my drawings since her look is simple yet effective. I kinda want to redesign her to contradict Eluard more, but I haven't had the motivation to work on this story.

Eluard, on the other hand, changes quite a bit through my drawings. At first I didn't really know how I wanted him to look, so I went for a regular modern-ish southern cowboy (he does have an accent). I don't really like this one, he looks too young and not as rowdy as he actually is.

This is another design for Eluard (far right). I went for more of a bull rider look because he enjoys training and riding rowdy dragons that other people are too scared to ride. He's just a dumb guy who isn't afraid of pain, basically a himbo but book smart. Still didn't have the vibe I wanted, I wanted him a bit chubbier to look more like a strong man instead of a body builder.

The middle character is Eluards brother, Oswald. He's crafty, quiet, and is determined to help his brother woo Sylvia. This leads to him overstepping and trying to rush things, but he means well. He's just an ambitious kid. He didn't give off a cowboy vibe in this version, just kind of like a standard fantasy prince.

The character on the left got cut from the (for now) final version of the story. He's supposed to be a witch in training that knows way too much about flora and herbs. He was going to be Oswald's love interest, but he doesn't really fit in the world anymore and I don't want to force him in.

This is where I started getting a good idea of what I wanted Eluard to look like. He's a big tall guy that sturdy-looking, like it would take a lot to knock him over. I also leaned more into a western pleasure like style for his formal clothes. In these pictures (besides the one where he's shirtless) I drew them first meeting where he kisses her hand (I really needed to work on my side-profiles). The top two drawings are of Eluard trying to shut his brother up as he says something embarrassing then talking to Sylvia to explain that his brother was talking nonsense. I wanted him to have some unprincely "imperfections" like freckles and a chipped tooth he got after a dragon headbutted him. He also has a bunch of scars from wrestling and handling different dragons.

I also realized I wanted Eluard and his kingdom to have an indigenous American inspiration, specifically from the Lakota tribe since (from my research) they were one of the tribes that used to inhabit the badlands. I still like this idea, but I'm also terrified of accidentally depicting something offensive on accident. Because I can do all the research I possibly can but I can never know everything about the culture since I'm not apart of it. I want to be respectful of Lakota culture and include some sort of indigenous representation since it's a big part of western cowboy media.

So I really got into drawing Eluard for a while because I just fell in love with his design. I decided to make bolo ties the important piece of clothing much like a crown to help show status based on what was carved inside it. I lost my idea for the royal emblem meant to be carved into Eluard's and Oswald's bolos. Also, I gave Eluard a cane because I also gave him ~hip pain~, he got thrown around by a nasty bucking dragon and ended up injuring his left hip (inspired by my own horseback riding injuries).

I also drew Oswald, I'm still not sure what to do with his design but I was getting close in this one. I didn't draw him a whole lot all in all, but I think he turned out fine. His essential design element to me is the little snake-like dragon around neck that's his companion. He always has the wyrm with him because its his little sidekick and emotional support dragon.

In the other picture where Eluard is shirtless (I realize I have drawn him twice shirtless) I don't know what 2022 me was on but she was really working on drawing dude torsos. I think I was trying to imagine how he'd look muscle wise since he wouldn't not have muscles. He works closely with big dangerous dragons, he needs to be able to hold his own. But I honestly believe that a prince like him wouldn't care to cut his muscles, he needs the fat to help protect his organs. And there's nothing wrong with being a bigger strong guy, not every strong guy has to be defined like a body builder.

Also Sylvia being shy seeing him shirtless lol.

Again, really obsessed with drawing Eluard. I already felt pretty solid on how Sylvia looked, so I was really focused on getting his characteristics down.

In the upper left corner is Eluard with his curse starting to flair up. He gets scales coming from his pores, claws, and his pupils change shape. He gets really defensive in this state because he's afraid he might hurt someone while he's in it because he knows first hand how dangerous dragons can be.

Speaking of that, in the upper right picture is after a particularly rough fight with a dragon. Eluard isn't phased by pain, at least that's what he wants people to think because he hates it when people worry about him. Idk something about independence i guess.

In the bottom left, Eluard is hugging his drake. I was giving the drake's design another try but gave up. Also emphasizing how close the two are because I imagine dragons don't enjoy hugs and stuff because it can come off as a dominating action.

The bottom right is a little doodle of Eluard defending Sylvia from something. I don't know what, but something.

This is the first look at Eluard's estranged twin. I wanted him to really lean into the whole dragon thing and use it as an excuse to be wild and not take responsibility for his destructive tantrums. It's kind of cut off but he's saying "Y'know, if I wasn't disowned you'd be betrothed to me."

The Sylvia next to him is her reaction to him. I don't know why I gave her a Padme Amadala looking fit, but there she is. In response to Eluard's twin she said, "Aren't we glad that never happened."

In the bottom right corner there's a little doodle of Eluard and Sylvia dancing. Probably in the garden after Sylvia's meltdown when they hear a song they both like. Just very fun and enjoying each other's presence for the first time without fear of judgment. Also wanted to once again highlight their height difference. Sylvia's like 5'4 and Eluard's around 6'2.

Also another attempt at the bison drake. Literal nightmare fuel, he looks peeled.

Last but not least, a little comic thing I made about the twin crashing Sylvia's party. I really like the twin's design, but hated drawing all the scales. It's hard to decide where they should end on the skin because I don't want them to cover everything but I want it to kind of act like an armor. Also fun wings, spiky. I had fun drawing this, I like the contrast in how the brothers look at one another. Eluard with fear and surprise while the twin (he still doesn't have a name yet) looks excited. Ooo, the tension!

But, in the end, this is an unfinished idea. I have so many other doodles in notebook margins that I can't find, these were just the big ones. I'm honestly not married to any of the names, the only reason I kept them is because those were the names I used in the original 2017 story. I'm open to any suggestions you may have. General Premise: Had an idea for a vampire college story where the neighber and friends are vampires and such, and it started off well but i kinda teetered out of it over all.

Other notes: I don’t know if i’ll continue it or not, I can give more info to anyone who wants to take it over.

She has only been living at the college dorms for a couple of months, only really leaving to shop for food and go to her classes, with the occasional visit to the laundry room. She didn’t have many friends at college, but she’s made a sort of pen pal with her across the hall neighbor. It started about two weeks after she moved in and the neighbor in question had a few friends over, and they got pretty loud. She didn’t mind, she’s slept through whole block parties back at her hometown, so she wasn’t phased, but it was nice to receive a small apology letter in her front door the following morning. She decided to make a basket of cookies with a reassuring letter in response. She dropped it off before class and got a responding letter when she got home. After that, it continued like that, usually just letters but the occasional present from both sides weren’t unheard of.

Now they did eventually want to meet in person but their schedules just didn’t work out. She had classes most days till dusk, and would usually go to sleep after some studying. He split his time between work and school, and often only had time late at night to hang with his friends and that was once a week at most. They did what they could with the letters though. Telling everything about each other to one another. She, Talia Priska, was a first-year from a small town with just a father and a few family friends, she was 5 foot nothing and had long brown hair with green eyes. She likes both cats and dogs, loves to bake and play games and music. She was trying to major in Game design as well.

He, Nathaniel Hugh, was a second-year majoring in general sciences with a minor in psychology. He came from a traveling family that wasn’t in one place for too long, apparently, they just set up shop somewhere in Canada. He was 5,10 with shaggy dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He also liked both cats and dogs, but also enjoyed lizards and birds as well. He was better at cooking than baking, and he enjoys the occasional drink while playing games with his friends. He also liked to visit the gym between work and school. He worked as an intern at a a small local urgent care clinicblood bank.

They hit it off quite well despite never meeting in person. She’d tell him about her life and small family back home and he’d tell her about his friends and previous travels. He didn’t talk much about his own family, but she didn’t mention having any friends either. His friends also started to write in the exchanging letters, hopeing to meet her too. They haven’t said must about themselves outside their names, but she figured that would come with time. Their names were Jay, Alex, and Devon. She mentioned that she loved to meet them too and also reminded them of the next week-long break that was coming up, and that would be the best time to try and meet. Nathaniel was all for it since he already got a few of those days off from work.

Now was the last day of school before break, Talia’s last class had let her out early. So she went to go and get her laundry done so she wouldn’t have to worry about it over the break, on her way back to her room, however, a bulky male was standing in the hallway several feet away from her door. When he spotted her down the hallway he smiled at her. It didn’t sit well with her but she decided to remain civil as she stopped about 5 feet away from the male. “Uh, May I help you?” Talia asked simply. “Uh yeah you, uh, Talia Priska right?” He asked innocently. Talia frowned unconvinced. “Yes, who and why are you asking?” She asked in a clipped tone. The male in front of her cleared his throat to bide some time for his reply. “Oh, your classmate George gave me your room number, thought I come and ask you for a date, sweetheart.” He said with a flirty wiggle of his eyebrows.

Talia frowned more at the nickname as she adjusted her laundry basket on her side. “You didn’t tell me who you are, and that information was not his to give, so I will be declining your offer.”Talia replied pointedly, inwardly cursing at the fact that she only gave her information because of the project last month. “Aw no need to be sour about it, why don’t I tell you over dinner?” He asked with a grin as he took a step forward in a slight plea. She matched his step with a step back as she replied sounding angry now. “Tell me who you are, or leave!” She snapped loudly. “No, I came here to try to get you thate easy way but looks like we’re going with the hard way.” The male said as he quickly stepped forward and pressed her against the wall aggressively. She gasped out in fear as she dropped her basket and he moved in to capture her lips, but he was soon stopped by a tap on his shoulder.

The male stopped his advances and looked towards whoever was bothering him, only to get a fist connected to his face. He let go of Talia as he went down, and he was out cold when he hit the floor. Talia looked up in surprise at her savior only to notice a head of shaggy blonde hair. “Nathaniel?” She asked unsurely. He smiled much more friendly than the male on the floor. “Yep, and you must be Talia, wish we could have met under better circumstances, but are you alright?” He asked bending down to pick up her basket for her. “Better than I was a moment ago, thanks for the save.” Talia replied as she got her basket back. “No problem, um sorry if it's too soon, but my friends are coming over in about an hour, so if you are free you’re welcome to come over.” Nathaniel offered sheepishly. Talia giggled in response. “Sounds perfect, gives me time to put away everything and get ready, I’ll bring over with those board games I told you about too.” Talia detailed with a smile. “Sounds great see you later.” Nathaniel replied as they moved to their respective doors and went inside.

Welcome to the Neo-Anthropocene

Originally made in june 2021 so alot of characters in this art might be considered no longer accurate

In the 31st century, human civilization was far more different than our world today. Long have we abandoned the archaic capitalist, ecocidal, and discriminatory systems of the old Anthropocene. With the formation of the Code of Mankind and eventually the United Federations of Mankind, we left earth to care for it and reach for the stars.

In just over a thousand years of unrestrained colonization and exploration of the stars, we have seen the rise and fall of dozens of interstellar nations, countless innovations that only accelerated humanity’s exploration of space, and constant political reformation. It had all led to a future where humanity had colonized and explored thousands of light-years, finally achieved faster than light travel, and nearly attained a utopian society.

Some of the characters i may focus on are listed below

1. Mortiz Schulze, a charismatic and goal-oriented man who works as a fleet commander and peacekeeper. He lives in the solar federation, a client state under the United Federations that holds Earth itself. He identifies as pansexual and is seen as a legend among his faction. He earned the highest badges in his homeworld. Commanded one of the largest fleets ever seen. Helped fly the Orion Express. And earned the eternal respect of his now spaceborne country.

2. Thabisa Adeleke, an innovative and empathetic woman, She identifies as asexual and runs as a politician on Enkulu-V, an ocean planet colonized by the Astral African union, a client state under the United Federations. The planet was long under the control of some of the last mega corporations in the United Federation space. Representing a rising Labor party, she was finally elected prime minister, giving her the necessary power to end the corporate rule once and for all

3. Gunnar Johannsson, a serene man who's patience rivals the natural world around him. He pursues art as a hobby, assisted by an cybernetic arm that he has complete control over. He is able to draw and paint just as well as any other person. seen here, he paints the morning sky of an earth like moon in the process of being terraformed by the Technate of Naldooshia, a transhumanist client state under the United Federations. He identifies as Bisexual and frequently incorporates themes of loving everyone into his portfolio.

4. MeiHui Yang posing in a photo with his Ai companion Xin De Doumu. MeiHui is a creative and helpful man who pursues robotics as his passion and profession. Once a woman, his community helped him acquire the medical care to help him transition into the man he truly is. His companion, Xin De Doumu, is an intelligent yet curious individual, They are one of the first sapient AIs that are truly human-like in mind. They both live in a tropical arcology dome on the surface of mars.

5. Faraj Assan and Markus Smith. Faraj is an open-minded and innovative man who is a musician by hobby. Markus is a quiet and helpful man who helps Faraj with his music and is a botany enthusiast. They are both in a gay relationship that formed because of an interstellar “pen-pal” system meant to help people connect with one another across the stars. Depicted above are the two hugging it out a year after they met in person and got married. They both live in a solarpunk-esque space station orbiting above Earth.

6. Castel Reyes, an adventurous and courageous individual, they identify as Non binary, and work as a xenobiologist under the Vastowork elective council, a former megacorporation now client state under the United Federations. Seen here they stare off into the landscape of the planet Auracampis-B. while the rest of their crew surveys the ecology, geology, and atmosphere of this world. They may not be spearheading this team, but one day they will make the greatest discovery in the history of mankind and go down in history as one of the most important people ever

Actual women in prison have trouble accessing adequate menstrual products and this prison wastes time getting a man with a history of violence against women breast implants?

A trans-identified male inmate with a history of violence against women has been given ‘gender affirming’ breast implants while imprisoned in a women’s prison in Washington.

Nonnie Lotusflower, born Nathan Goninan, is currently serving a 10-year sentence for the brutal murder of 17-year-old Jessica Franklin.

Goninan murdered Franklin by strangulation just hours after being released from prison in 2007. Her body was found beneath an underpass in Bellingham, Washington, and a forensic examination revealed signs she had been sexually assaulted. Goninan was convicted on second-degree manslaughter charges.

In 2009, while serving his sentence for Franklin’s death, Goninan was charged with attempting to break out of prison with another inmate.

While it is unclear when Goninan was transferred to a women’s prison, in 2017 he launched a lawsuit against the Washington State Department of Corrections citing discrimination on the basis of his ‘gender identity,’ and demanding access to ‘gender affirming’ surgeries. The ACLU entered the complaint in support of Goninan in 2018.

On June 20, a whistleblower employed at the Washington Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) spoke toNational Review and revealed Goninan had successfully undergone breast augmentation surgery while incarcerated. The correctional officer, who was not named due to concerns over professional repercussions, noted that Goninan had recently been escorted on a medical leave from the prison to get breast implants.

The officer stated that three members from the prison’s specialty emergency response team took Goninan to Spokane, Washington for an appointment prior to the surgery, and then to Gig Harbor to undergo the procedure.

“One of the members told me they drove hours for a ten-minute appointment. Then they had to take him again for his surgery and he recovered at Airway Heights Correction Center,” the whistleblower explained to National Review. Despite having the ‘top’ surgery, the anonymous officer did confirm Goninan is fully intact, and is regularly noted as engaging sexually with female inmates.

Goninan currently has a profile listed on Caged Ladies — a dating and pen pal website for female inmates. His profile photo shows he has extensive facial tattooing and describes himself as a “tattoo artist.”

WCCW has had multiple disturbing male transfers either presently incarcerated at the institution or recently released.

Currently housed at the institution is serial killer Donna Perry, born Douglas Robert Perry, who murdered three prostituted women in a four-month timeframe in 1990.

Yolanda Sapp, 26, Nicki Lowe, 34, and Kathleen Brisbois, 38, were all murdered with a gun and their naked bodies were found disposed near the Spokane River.

Perry initially avoided suspicion following the heinous murders, and fled to Thailand in 2000 to undergo gender reassignment surgeries, after which he successfully concealed his identity for years. It wasn’t until a 2012 DNA test following a conviction for illegal firearms possession that Perry was forensically connected to all three women’s murders.

During the trial proceedings, prosecutors contended that Perry had only undergone his gender changes to avoid suspicion for the murders and shirk justice. This was in part fueled by the fact Perry referred to his “male” and “female” identities in separate contexts, accusing his “male” side of having committed the crimes while his “female” identity was innocent of them.

While Perry was only convicted of the three murders, he claims to have killed nine prostituted women total. In 1998, during a prison stint for an unrelated charge, Perry allegedly told a fellow inmate that he wanted to kill prostitutes “because [he] couldn’t breed and the women had the ability to have children [but] they were wasting it being “pond scum.”

In December 2021, a female ex-inmate at the WCCW anonymously came forward and reported that the institution had been experiencing a wave of sexual assaults on vulnerable female inmates by trans-identified males who received transfers to the facility after identifying as female.

One such assault was committed by Princess Zoe Andromeda Love, a biological male with a criminal history that included the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Love reportedly sexually assaulted a developmentally disabled female inmate just prior to his release. According to a former correctional officer at WCCW, many of the files associated with the incident were “erased” from the system.

Speaking to National Review in November of 2021, Scott Flemming noted that the relationship between Love and the female inmate had been described by the witnessing officer as one of “predator-victim” rather than “two inmates in love, after having consensual intercourse,” which is how it had initially been written off by the prison.

According to Flemming, the incident report on the interaction between Love and the female inmate had been “erased” from the system when the witnessing officer went to check on it one month after submitting it. Flemming noted that it was likely “part of a coverup” as the Washington Department of Corrections faced a lawsuit barring the release of information on inmate gender identity following the first whistleblower’s initial appearance on the radio program in May of 2021.

On March 31, the Washington state legislature passed a bill which ended public disclosures on currently and formerly incarcerated people’s transgender status, effectively obscuring the current number of trans-identified males housed in the state’s female facilities.

Genre: Visual Novel

Pitch: Aristocrat Amelie is in lockdown while the plague ravages the outside world. Her maid feels prickly about a visit from Amelie's pen-pal. A short, anime-style visual novel, retold three times from each character's perspective, with a few branching paths

My expectations: Much to my disappointment, this does not appear to have anything to do with the major motion picture of the same name. Fox Interactive's Alien: Resurrection: The Game and Psygnosis' The City of Lost Children remain the only games based on Jean-Pierre Jeunet's illustrious oeuvre. Is no one brave enough to take a chance on a Micmacs game? So anyway, I'm going to have to put that disappointment out of mind and try to focus on reviewing Amelie for what it is rather than what it is not. I'm open to a queer visual novel with "psychological horror." Two and a Half Studios released five games in this style from 2018 to 2022. Given my recent experience with prolific visual novelists, I have concerns about them being stretched too thin. They're saying Amelie is ~20,000 words (1-1.5 hours), which is relatively constrained. This could be good!

Review:

A young woman lives with her maid in an ornate manor. Her parents, infected by the plague, have left their home until they’re better. When the woman’s pen-pal arrives for a visit, the maid is livid. The pen-pal assures them that lockdowns are lifting and travel is becoming more common, but the maid insists that for everyone’s protection, this interloper must go.

Ooooookay… It’s a game from 2021, back when we still kinda took the pandemic seriously, but society at large was starting to get comfortable admitting that we’re more concerned with Starbucks and letting children be someone else’s problem for eight hours a day than we are with preventable deaths…

One possible reading of Amelie is that we have to get back to normal. Making minimal personal sacrifice to curb the spread of a case of the sniffles that’s not even dangerous if you’re young and healthy is oppressive. Women are being oppressed by life-saving courtesy.

My reading is that it’s a ghost story. Current events like the pandemic and attacks on womens’ rights influenced it, but it’s primarily a self-contained story about ghosts.

The presentation and design are uneven. The ghost story isn’t bad. Maybe a light recommendation?

+ As trope-y ghost stories go, this one is fine. I was a few steps ahead of almost everything, but even so, it had me asking questions and looking forward to what might happen next. Plus, feminism and lesbian visibility. Cool and cool. + Dig those backgrounds and special insert shots. + The developers call the music "gorgeous." I don't agree, but it is memorable and effective, both when trying to lure you in and spook you out. + Each character is distinct. Most of the time, there aren't visual or audio cues to indicate who's talking. The name of the speaker is displayed, but I could usually ignore that and still figure it out based on the written voice.

– It's possible the ultimate message is that we need to stop living in fear and forget about coronavirus prevention. I'm immunocompromised. A member of my family died from COVID-19 last week. I believe it's just a funtimes ghost story, but maybe, just maybe, this is a work of COVID denial, and I'm not onboard with that. – Background/character art mismatch. – Going through the story multiple times with multiple characters and multiple outcomes? Good! Clicking through repeated dialogue but not clicking too fast because there might be something new inserted between the old stuff? Not good. Did we learn nothing from Arrested Development's fourth season? – Two and a Half Studios, you have promise, and I hope you learned some lessons.
