My answers were the most incoherent thing I've ever written. Like imagine all of my posts that have made you think "oh this girl really doesn't know how to form a sentence" but like 10 times worse

Matt Sturniolo x fem!oc (Elena)
Summary: When Elena leaves after Matt confesses his feelings, will he try again to win the girl?
Warning: A little angst and mentions of a break up.

Elena closed her eyes as a sigh escaped her lips, her arms resting on the armrest of the uncomfortable plane seat. Her back was tense as her mind ran through everything she would do and say upon landing in New York. Her eyes opened momentarily, focusing on the small window on her left side, watching the clouds around her.
༻﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡﹡༺
Matt repeatedly banged his fist on the front door of Elena's grandparents' house, impatiently waiting while his brothers stood behind him, trying to keep him calm.
"You'll end up breaking down the door like that." Nick commented, tapping his right foot anxiously against the floor, also yearning for the resolution of the massive problem created by "simple" feelings.
"Shut up." Matt replied gruffly, straightening up in seconds as the sound of keys against the inside door lock sounded.
The door was finally opened and Elena's grandmother stood behind her, a dish towel over her right shoulder as a confused expression took over her face.
"Matt? Boys? Did something happen?" She asked, her eyes traveling over the boys.
"Hi grandma, is Lena here? I really need to talk to her." Matt asked, his fingers playing with the hem of his shirt anxiously.
His heart seemed to freeze when a look of realization took over the older woman's eyes and she shook her head.
"Elena's already left, Matt. I'm sorry."
"She left? Like, is she on her way to New York right now?" The brunette asked, his eyes burning with tears that wanted to fall as his heart sank.
"Yes, my dear, she left almost an hour ago. Didn't she say goodbye to you?" The older one asked, looking at Nick and Chris briefly.
"No grandma, I don't know-" Nick started, but was cut off by Matt turning abruptly and running back to the sidewalk, heading to his parents' car in quick steps, his fingers searching for the control to quickly unlock the doors. "Matt!"
"I need to go after her. Is anyone coming with me?" Matt spoke loudly, finally unlocking the car and getting into the driver's seat.
His brothers looked at Elena's grandmother with an apologetic look before running towards the car, quickly getting in when Matt hit the horn, speeding them up.
Chris had barely closed the passenger seat door when Matt took off with the car, stepping on the accelerator and making sharp turns like he'd never done before, his eyes glued to the street in front of him paying maximum attention to where he was going and focused on getting to the airport in half the time the GPS showed.
"If you continue like this we're going to get there dead!" Nick screamed from the back seat, his hands gripping the back of the front seats as if his life depended on it.
Matt ignored him, stepping on the gas harder.
It didn't take long and the car finally stopped in front of the first main entrance to the airport, Matt turned the key, turning off the car and ripping off his seat belt, jumping out of the car and closing the door, starting to run into the airport.
"I've never seen him like that." Chris commented, taking off his own seat belt as he tried to calm his racing heart from the speed Matt made the car go.
"He's been madly in love with Elena for years Chris, I'm not surprised he's going crazy about it all." Nick replied, getting out of the car and waiting for Chris to close the passenger door, before they started walking towards the airport at a quick pace.
The two stopped after crossing the entrance, looking for their brother with their eyes and finding him in front of the ticket counter of the airline that flew from Boston to New York, looking at each other in confusion before walking towards Matt.
"Please, I just need a ticket for the nearest flight to New York." Matt asked in an almost desperate tone, his hands resting on the counter as he looked at the attendant.
"Calm down sir, I'm checking available times." The woman asked in a harsh tone, her hands working on the mouse and keyboard of the computer in front of her.
Nick, upon hearing his brother's request and the attendant's response, placed his hands firmly on Matt's shoulders, trying to calm him down before the woman called security.
"What the hell are you doing?" Chris asked, stopping next to the brunette with a surprised look.
"I'm going to New York." He responded quickly without looking away from the attendant, as if if he did so, she would disappear.
"Matt, are you crazy? Why-" Chris stopped mid-sentence at the pointed look Nick gave him, raising his arms in surrender. "Do what you think is best." He sighed, crossing his arms and turning his back to Matt, his eyes scanning the people hurriedly walking through the airport.
"I have a ticket available for the chair next to the emergency exit in 10 minutes, sir." The attendant looked up.
"You can select it for me." Matt asked quickly, taking out his wallet and handing over his identity documents and credit card, ready to pay for the ticket regardless of the amount.
A few minutes later the purchase was complete and Matt turned around, sighing heavily and looking briefly at his brothers before shrugging.
"It's my last chance, I need to take a chance and see what happens." He muttered in a low voice, earning looks of pity from his brothers.
"It's okay Matt, we understand." Nick spoke, quickly stroking his shoulder with his right hand.
"Let's get to the right gate before you miss your flight." Chris spoke, taking Matt's left arm and pulling him, starting to walk towards the gate informed by the attendant.
"Do you have your charger with you? Because you'll only go with your phone and wallet, right?" Nick asked a few seconds later, breaking the silence.
"Yes, I'll leave the car keys with Chris since he knows how to drive better and you can go home. Mom knows what I wanted to do if Elena wasn't here anymore, so there's no need to explain anything to her." Matt replied, keeping his eyes in front of him.
"Alright, if anything happens you can call us and we'll come to you as quickly as possible." Chris replied, taking the keys that Matt was holding tightly, putting them in his pocket and stopping walking when the three stopped in front of the respective gates.
Matt looked up and glanced at his brothers briefly, who offered him encouraging smiles.
"Go get your girl, Matt." Nick spoke with a smile on his face, making Matt let out a laugh, adrenaline coursing through his veins. Chris followed his laughter, slapping his shoulder with his right hand momentarily.
"It'll go alright." He encouraged, pushing Matt back slightly. The boy nodded and turned around, walking quickly towards the boarding counter when the flight announcement was made on the speaker.
Matt spent the flight looking at the back of the seat in front of him, with no window next to him and no head to watch anything on the mini television in front of him. His body was tense and his legs were swinging anxiously, time seemed to pass slower than ever.
Finally, an hour and a half later, the male voice on the loudspeaker announced that the landing would happen soon. Matt straightened up on the seat and picked up his phone, sending a quick text to his group with his brothers, notifying them of his arrival, knowing that it would be sent as soon as the internet signal reached his phone again, putting the device in his pocket again.
Matt sighed in relief when the flight was over, taking off his seatbelt and quickly crossing the plane's aisle, apologizing for the people he was bumping into along the way.
When the boy finally entered the airport again, his blue eyes traveled over the crowd of people there, now what?

Elena stood outside the apartment she'd lived in for the past few years in New York, her face wet with tears of relief or tension, she couldn't exactly tell the difference. Her back was against the closed door behind her, listening to Jeremy pacing back and forth inside the apartment while her hands tightly gripped the handles of two of the three suitcases she had packed.
Jeremy didn't take the news of the breakup very well, it was everything he least expected and his emotional dependence on Elena seemed to swallow him momentarily during the conversation, turning it into an argument. He cursed the girl and her grandparents and hometown, judging her for returning there, as if if she hadn't done so, it would never have happened.
The "conversation" took about 40 minutes and was a complete rollercoaster, but in the end it was agreed that the engagement would actually be ended and that both would go their own way, as Jeremy didn't want to "ever look Elena in the face again", his words. Elena took another 30 minutes to pack her bags, picking up her main belongings and promising to pick up the rest over the next few days.
The apartment, which was purchased by the two together, would be sold and the value divided between the two.
The girl tried to control her breathing while her mind was in turmoil, she felt relief for having put an end on something she didn't want to, but she felt enormous guilt for hurting Jeremy.
She took a deep breath, trying to hold back the tears that escaped her eyes, picking up her suitcase one at a time and taking them to the elevator. After a lot of effort, the girl managed to take all three suitcases to the building's garage and put them in the trunk of her car, closing the back door and getting into the driver's seat.
Her hands held the steering wheel for a few minutes while she thought about what she would do now.
The decision was made to go to her favorite coffee shop, which was also a bookstore, and have a coffee alone while thinking about her next steps, her mind divided between renting an apartment momentarily or returning to her parents' house until she finished college.
She knew that a normal person at that moment would probably seek refuge with someone trustworthy and that they could take shelter, but she had no one there, her parents were working and would only return home at night, and she no longer had a spare key, having left it behind with her parents when she moved away.
The girl started the car, wiping her face with her hands and thanking herself for choosing not to wear makeup that day, momentarily glancing at her appearance in the rearview mirror.
After a few minutes the car finally stopped in front of the bookstore, Elena took a deep breath before getting out of the vehicle, closing the door and locking it, before walking to the cafe.
The sound of the bell echoed through the small space and the smell of coffee and book pages hit the girl's nose, calming her instantly. She walked to the furthest table, sitting on the wooden chair and momentarily looking at the chair in front of her, wishing that a certain someone was there with her.
The sound of footsteps caught her attention and Elena raised her face, smiling small at the attendant before ordering just a coffee, thanking the waitress before looking down at the table again.
The girl felt her phone vibrate in her sweatshirt pocket, her right hand fishing for the device and analyzing the screen.
"Matt?" Elena answered the call, putting the phone to her ear, her eyebrows furrowed as she heard the rapid breathing on the other end and the sounds of horns and cars in the background.
"Elena, where are you? I went to your apartment and the doorman said you had just left." The boy spoke quickly on the other side, his breathless voice sounding like he had been running for long minutes.
"Wait, you're in New York? Matt, what's going on?" The girl asked, her eyes traveling around the cafeteria space as if she expected him to appear there out of nowhere.
"Elena, please." He pleaded with his voice, and Elena sighed, closing her eyes momentarily.
"Book Cafe." The girl replied, her free hand playing with the menu anxiously, her mind wondering if this was some kind of prank.
The line went dead and Elena took the phone away from her ear with a confused expression, scoffing when she saw that Matt hung up, her hands were working on opening the messaging app and entering the chat with the boy, starting to write a text, but her attention was taken by the sound of the bell echoing through the space again.
Elena looked toward the door, her cell slipping out of her hands and landing on the wooden table as her eyes met those blue ones she loved so much.
Matt seemed to freeze in the doorway, his feet locked to the floor as his eyes looked back at Elena, noting her tired and tense state.
"Matt." Elena called, getting up from her chair slowly, turning to face him, choosing to wait for him to catch up when she saw him start to move.
"Elena." He responded, quickly approaching her and standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" She asked exasperatedly, running her eyes over the boy's condition, his messy hair and rumpled clothes, probably from the flight and how much he seemed to have ran around the city.
"I know you asked me not to come after you, but I don't like being contradicted. I needed to try Lena, just one more time." Matt spoke, his eyes showing all the emotions he felt at that moment, anguish, love, fear and tension.
"Oh Matt." The girl sighed, pulling him into a tight hug, her eyes burning with the tears that had already fallen and that wanted to fall again as her chest filled with love and gratitude.
"I'll always come to you, Lena." He murmured against the top of the girl's head. "Come on, let's sit down." Matt asked in a low tone, helping her sit in the chair she was previously in, before dragging the other chair to the side of the table, sitting next to Elena. "I know you have Jeremy and that you are going to get married, but I love you so much and at the amusement park everything was so much, I needed to look at you just one more time, really look into your eyes and tell you how much I love you and I want you in my life forever." Matt whispered, feeling more words wanting to leave his lips, but holding them back, he didn't want to act on the emotion more than he already did.
"I broke up with Jeremy, Matt." Elena said, looking at him with a firm look, smiling small when she saw the surprise flash through the brunette's eyes. "I ended my engagement with him because he wasn't you." She spoke, feeling her heart warm as an expression of pure shock and love took over Matt's face, his blue-eyed pupil instantly dilating and a smile stretching across his cheeks, his right hand reaching out and taking her left hand, interlacing their fingers.
"Elena, be mine. I've loved you since before I understood the meaning of love, in the most anxious and calm way I've ever loved. I want you with me for who you are and who you make me want to be." Matt whispered the words of love and declaration, creating an intimate atmosphere around them.
"I've been yours for a long time, Matt." Elena responded with a wide smile, leaning to the right and getting closer to Matt, calmly approaching the brunette's face and finally pressing her lips against his, initiating a calm kiss with just the movement of lips, with no tongue involved, the desire of both being just to enjoy each other's warmth.
After a few seconds Elena slowly pulled away, a happy sigh escaping her lips before her eyes opened carefully, the fear to open them and find out that everything was just a dream coursing through her veins, but Matt's hands against her face and his warm breath close to her lips was too real to be a lie.
"I ordered a coffee, have something with me." The girl asked with a smile, her hand lightly squeezing Matt's who still held hers.
The bubble around the two seemed to burst when the sound of footsteps and the smell of coffee approached, the attendant placing the cup of coffee ordered by the girl on the table and taking out her notepad, turning to Matt.
"Can I get you something, sir?"
"Yes, please."

Jeong Yunho has been my best friend since childhood, we went through every single small and big situation I can imagine. I didn’t know when it happened but I had feelings for him. Maybe it was his golden retriever personality, or his tall body portion with his long delicate fingers that caressed your face. Shaking my head to get the perverted thoughts away from my mind, I looked at the boy next to me. His side profile was perfect as always as he laughed at a comment a fellow classmate said. It was a late Friday night, sitting in the bar with a small group of friends from my last year classes. It was bizarre to think that it was the last year of college and after this, everyone will be on their way to their own life. “Yunho-ah, what will you be doing after finishing the last year?” Mina asked, her eyes fluttering in a way to send flirtatious signals. Yunho gave her a smile, and it made my stomach turn. Was I jealous? Very much, but I couldn’t do anything since Yunho wasn’t my boyfriend. Just a crush. “Well hopefully I’ll level up soon at my workplace, I want to do business once I finish here.” He answered, a hand on his lap as his legs were crossed, like a true gentleman, I bit my lip as the group spoke.
My energy slowly runs out to communicate. Yunho glanced over at me and rubbed my arm softly, “Hey..you tired?” I nodded slowly, “Let’s go back home?” He whispers, my cheeks grew with blush as he was so attentive to my energy, but as well as he said ‘home’ like we lived together. I nodded and got up, “It’s getting late so me and y/n will be heading back. You guys stay safe.” Yunho smiled before handing some money to another friend to pay for his and my drink. “Yuyu, I can pay for my own drink.” I pouted. He just poked my cheek and shook his head, “nope~ I got it.” He didn’t even let me finish my new sentence as he took my hand and walked me out of the bar. Luckily we didn’t drive, so we were able to just grab a taxi and even more luckily, we lived a few blocks from each other. As the taxi took us back to my house, I looked out of the window, the night view flew by. I sighed, Yunho looked over at me. “What’s up sweetheart?” he questioned, I looked at him and smiled softly, “Just wondering how we would be once we graduate.” I spoke softly. Yunho awed and took my hand into his, his warmth warming my cold hands, “Well, we will have each other no matter what.” “promise?” “promise.”
[ 4  years later ]
That night with Yunho felt like it was a day ago. The promise of staying together soon broke as graduation happened and life became busy. Last thing I knew was that Yunho was now a CEO of a business, while I currently work at a small (not so quiet) preschool as a teacher. All those years for a teaching degree and I still landed a job to work with small kids. Could it be the baby fever? Maybe, but the thought of one day having a family was nice, but definitely not now. I mean, I am only 25 years old, almost 26 now. It was normal to think about family now since it was my mid-20’s but, no one ever caught my eye–not since yunho at least. “Ms. Y/L/N~” A small child called my last name, I turned around and smiled as my eyes landed on one of my favorite students, “Hi nina~ how are you.” I cooed softly crouching down to be eye level with her. Her brown eyes shined brightly as she was a naturally giggly, happy child. “Ma dada ist picking me..” she said. I tilted my head smiling at her, knowing she was still young so developing her speaking skills was something we wanted to work on. “Your daddy is what sweetheart?” I asked. “Picking me..um..up! Like sky!”  she said excitedly. “Oh, picking you up! How nice~ what about mama?” I asked. “Mama don’t live with us. She went away.” she spoke naturally. I was shocked. I knew her mother, she wasn’t the best but she was trying as a young mom, around my age, so I didn’t have the right to judge. As Nina said that, she went back to playing with the other kids outside, the giggling and lively screaming of the kids echoing through the small playground. I stood up and started to clean up around the table area, glancing at the clock outside and notice the time they were about to be picked up. As soon as the clock hit 5pm, our alarm to come inside rang. Some kids ran inside, while others put away their toys from the playground back into the outside box and went inside. I gave them small smiles as we helped put on their shoes if they couldn’t do it themselves. One by one each parent came to pick up their child. Nina waited in the corner, tippy toeing to look out the small child level window. I cleaned up the remaining trash and watched for every parent and child that left.
Almost a full 30 minutes went by and Nina was still here. “Nina sweetheart, where’s daddy?” I asked, sitting down next to her crisscrossed. “Works late…he come..” Nina mumbles sadly. Her head tilted down and I saw her fumble with her hands, I bit my lip, feeling sorry, Nina’s mom was always a few minutes late, but not like this. So I took her tiny hands into mine and gave her a smile. “How about we play princesses?” I suggested. “Yay!! Princesses!! Will you be princess too?” I giggled at her half full sentences; I nodded and she smiled ear to ear. I rumbled through the toy box near us and pulled out some dolls. Nina finally sat down across from me and started playing, immediately forgetting about her late father. It was some minutes after when the door opened. Nina looked up and gleamed with happiness as she rushed to get up and run to whoever came in. I stood up and patted down my work jeans and looked at the figure. He had black hair, broad shoulders, he was clearly tall despite the fact he was bending down to kiss his daughters forehead. The obvious sweating told me that he rushed here as quickly as he could. “I’m terribly sorry for being late, please forgiv-..y/n?” his sentence stopped and I stared back. “Yunho?” I was shocked. His eyes turned from shock to the smile he gave in college, “daddy you know ms. Y/L/N?” Nina asked, looking between us. “Yes baby, we went to school together.” Yunho smiled, squatting down to his daughter. “HOW?! You look old, she’s pretty!!” Nina screeched. I held back my giggle as she said, “Nina sweetheart, don’t call your dad old.” I chuckled.
Yunho laughed and patted his daughter’s head, “come on baby, let’s go home.” He stood up and held Nina’s hand. He gave me a sweet smile, “I really am sorry that I’m late. Even though I’m a boss at my own company, it’s so much harder to leave. Was she okay?” Yunho asked, I nodded. “Of course, Nina is one of my favorite students.” I smiled, walking back to the dolls on the ground to put them away, “Nina told me about her mother not being able to pick her up anymore?” I mentioned. Yunho’s face turned pale, “y-yeah..c-can we talk about it outside?” He asked. I simply nodded and made sure everything was cleaned, grabbed my tote bag, and keys to lock the door, turning off the lights before closing the door behind me. Yunho parked his car right on the driveway of the preschool and lifted Nina into the backseat, putting on her seatbelt, before telling her “daddy needs to talk real quick ok? Listen to music.” as he turned on a seat tv and Elsa's Frozen started playing. As he closed the door, making sure to lower the windows a bit for air to circulate, he looked at me. “She listens to frozen loudly. So we can talk normally.” he said, and he was correct as I heard Nina sing very loudly to the song, mumbling at parts she couldn't understand. “No worries. I only mentioned cause she told me, but for file reason, I have to add you. Will she be coming back soon?” I said looking at him fondly. Yunho shook his head in a no motion, “I want to say unfortunately no, but I’m happy. We filed for a divorced a while ago because she told me she found someone better and the guy treated her better..whatever that meant. I just got full custody over Nina. You can remove Kyomi Cheng and add Yunho Jeong instead.” He explained. I made a mental note about the info, “Alright, thank you. I will make sure to update the files tomorrow morning.” Some silence filled the air before I made a comment. “Still can’t believe you’re here.” I chuckled. He smiled and nodded, “yeah, can’t believe we live in the same city even though we went to school somewhere else. Do you live around here?” “I do. A few blocked in Willow Crossing.” Yunho’s eyes opened in shock, “No way! I live in Fairview Estates!” I was equally shocked. Fairview Estates were the more expensive places, but it was really close to where I lived. “Wow, fate really has us.” “yeah..” I gave him a smile and hugged him, which shocked him again but his gentle arms hugged me back. “Well get home safely, I’ll see Nina tomorrow.” “First thing in the morning.” Yunho smiled. I waved bye to Nina who smiled and waved goodbye back and walked to my car. My heart was racing like a teenage girl again, seeing Yunho like that was like college. He still looked the same, except his face got sharper, he grew muscles, he was taller, and god, he smelled so good in the hug. His cologne clogged my mine, it smelled like Ferrari Light. I shook my head, I can’t believe I’m falling in love with him again just by seeing him. I focused on my way home, stopping by the store to pick up food for dinner and went home. The long day finally tiring my body as soon as I sat down to eat. My phone buzzed and I glanced at the time. 7:50 pm, I furrowed my eyebrows as I usually never have messages or calls at this time.
Unknown Number, 7:51 pm : HIIIII MS. Y/L/N
Unknown Number, 7:51 pm: I’m sorry y/n. Nina took my phone after I said I still had your number. Just wanted to say thank you for watching her. Would you like coffee tomorrow morning?
I smiled at my phone, even as a single dad now, Yunho was still the same. Caring and selflessness. I picked up my phone and typed back.
Me, 7:53 pm : Would love coffee!
Yuyu, 7:54 pm: Caramel Macchiato like the old days, right? :)
I blushed as he remembered my order even though it was years ago since we last saw each other. I texted back and smiled.
Me, 7:55 pm: wow, still remembered =D, anyways get Nina to sleep. I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Yunho!
Yuyu, 7:55 pm: No Yuyu? :(
Me, 7:56 pm: okay, goodnight yuyu~
Yuyu, 7:56 pm: :D Goodnight doll (still your favorite nickname right?) Nina says goodnight as well. See you tomorrow.
I felt my cheeks fill with blush as he used a nickname (more of a pet name) I haven’t heard in a while. The way he used to say it in college always made me weak in the knees. It was honestly pathetic of me for feeling like this from just one moment with him. I sighed and put my phone on my night stand, the only light was coming from my lamp. I wonder how Yunho acted now since he has a little girl, does he tuck her in at night? Cuddle her as she falls asleep? Maybe he uses his puppy-like pout to get his little girl to giggle when she’s upset. ‘Why am I thinking like this?’ I mumbled to myself. Reaching over and turning off my lamp to try and sleep. ‘Let’s hope I can function in the morning’
The loud beeping from my alarm blared through my silent bedroom. I groaned and pressed stop, lazily getting out of bed. I looked at my phone, going to the weather app to see what the weather was like for today. The temperature was starting to get colder, and those weathers are what I liked the most. I got up and went to my closet to grab a beige turtleneck, topping it with a loose sweater to hang, wearing some simple leggings. After getting ready and adding small accessories, I quickly grabbed my bag and keys to drive to the school. It wasn’t a bad drive today, the crunchy leaves making me smile brightly as I walked towards the door. Setting up the classroom was easy and I finished quite quickly as the kids wouldn’t be there for another hour or so. So I sat down onto my chair in my corner and typed away on my computer, until I received a message.
Yuyu, 9:20 am: Good Morning :D, Nina has something waiting for you at the door!
I giggled and put my phone down to walk to the door to open it. I see Nina holding a Starbucks sandwich bag and holding my drink. “WE GOT THIS FOR YOU!” Nina giggled, I bent down to her level and smiled brightly. “Thank you Nina~ Would you like to go put it on my desk?” I asked, she nodded happily and ran inside, taking her shoes off first, before running to my desk corner. “She’s so energetic for the morning.” I looked up and saw Yunho smiling down at me. He held out his hand and helped me stand up, he was in a black suit, white button up on the inside, with shiny slick black shoes. He had two silver rings on, and his married finger was bare. I wanted to smile at the thought of him being single, but that’s just rude for someone who just got cheated on and divorced. I snapped out of my daydreaming and spoke, “Nina is an energizer. Just like her father.”, my comment made Yunho smile and chuckle deeply. “I’m glad. It’s okay for her to be here early right?” he asked, concerned. “Of course. Me and her can play princesses-” “DADDYYY~” Nina interrupted what I was saying, Yunho apologized and looked at his daughter. “Yes baby?” “Come in and play.” Nina pouted. Yunho looked at me, as if he was asking if it was okay for him to stay for a bit, “come in come in.” I motioned him, closing the door behind us, hearing the alarmed door lock for safety reasons. I watched as Yunho looked around the classroom, his tall figure could touch the ceiling if he was any taller. I sat down on the carpet with Nina as she played around with blocks
Yunho sat down next to me and watched his daughter ramble and play around. He sighed, but not a negative sigh, more of a relaxed one. “You’ve changed.” “hm?” I hummed, turning to look at him. His eyes connected with mine and I felt my heart flutter. “From college. You used to hate looking after kids and such..now you’re a teacher, being surrounded by little kids all day.” he chuckles. I blushed and focused back on Nina, “yeah..well.. You know, people change.” I said as I was quite embarrassed because I started liking the idea of kids when I imagined me and Yunho having one. “You would be a good mom.” Yunho commented while watching Nina. I could have choked on water if I had any in my mouth, “w-what makes you say that?” I stumbled. “I just know it. I mean we grew up with each other, plus you’re so caring and protective of kids, even if you personally don’t think so.” Before I could reply, Nina walked up to us and handed us some dolls. “I’m princess! You and daddy can be king and queen.” she smiled innocently. I looked at Nina big eyed and mouth a gap, this must have caught Yunho off guard too because his ears started to turn to a shade of red and he coughed awkwardly. “Nina sweetie, you can’t say things like that.” Nina pouted and whined, “it’s okay Yuyu.” I whispered, getting up I walked to my desk and picked up the coffee. “Thanks by the way.” I blushed, shaking the drink lightly, “ah, no problem.” Yunho smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck, he stood up awkwardly and cleared his throat. “Okay well, thank you for the fun morning, I have to head to work now. Nina be good, take care y/n, I’ll be on time, this time, I swear.” He says, “Don’t keep promises you can’t keep.” I joked. He just laughed and nodded, “see you later.” He smiles, before heading out the door, the door closing slowly closing behind him, I watched as his broad shoulders slowly went out of view.
The day at the school went by fast. The kids were now taking their scheduled nap time, I made sure each kid was comfortable and tucked in before going back to my desk. I silently typed away on my computer, creating plans for the next few classes. I felt my eyes close slightly from the calm, tired atmosphere. I drank my water to stay awake and continued with my tasks, and before I knew it, the school day ended. Every kid greeted their parents, I waved goodbye to each kid with a smile, “see everyone on monday!” I cheered. Looking around the classroom, Nina sat patiently on the waiting stools. “Come on Nina, let’s go outside.” I said, she smiled and happily hopped off the small stool and ran to me, taking my hands into her small ones. I turned off the lights and made sure to have everything before locking the door. “Daddy isn’t here yet.” Nina pouted. I pat her head, “I know sweetheart. He can be late again. How about we sit out here and play a game?” I said. “What game?”  She gleamed, I hummed, thinking of a small game that could still be stimulating for her, “how about I spy?” “how do we play..” she tilted her head. God, she was so cute, just like a smaller version of Yunho. I chuckled and sat her down on a step, while I sat down next to her. “If I say I spy..I will give a hint on what I'm looking at and you guess.” I said, Nina nodded softly like she semi understood. So I started the game, “I spy something with green.” Nina looked around, “..hm..tree?” she asked looking at me with a nervous look. I nodded and cheered, “yes that’s correct! Great job Nina~” I smiled, making Nina happy. We played like that until Yunho appeared a few minutes later, he got out of his car and opened his arms as soon as he saw Nina run to him. “Thank you.” he says and I smiled back. “No worries. I think Nina enjoys her time with me, right Nina?” “Yes~~ You’re the best!” she cheered as Yunho put her into her car seat. “I think I owe you dinner for always watching my daughter.” Yunho laughed while closing the door. “I’ll take that offer one day.” I said lightly, grabbing my keys out, actually parking closer to the school this time. “Get home safely Mr. Jeong.” I waved bye, Yunho bit his lip before saying bye back and getting into his car.
Multiple weeks passed, and weeks turned into months. It turned to a routine of Nina getting to the school early with my Starbucks order in her tiny hands as Yunho looked at her fondly. Each conversation with him became close again, just like old times. Sometimes I would think he would blush, but I always turned down that thought. We were only friends and that’s it. For this particular day, school was on break and I didn’t have a lot planned since I was far from family, and I rarely went out so hanging out with friends wasn’t an option. Somehow Nina heard that from a conversation with a coworker, and here I am in front of Yunho’s and Nina’s house. The house was actually quite big, it looked like two stories, the front yard was covered in light snow, decorated with cute Christmas decorations for the upcoming holiday. I rang the doorbell, feeling the cold getting to me despite wearing a warm thin sweater with an oversize hoodie with some warm leggings with beige fur boots. Yunho opened the door and smiled brightly, “Welcome y/n.” he greeted, allowing me inside. I walked in and was hit with the warm air and the smell of hot chocolate in the air. Nina wanted to make hot chocolate with marshmallows, she was dying for you to try it.” Yunho said, his hand accidentally brushing against mine as he was walking past. I blushed and softly nodded, “if you get too hot, you can leave your hoodie on the rack.” he says before rushing back to what I would assume is the kitchen. I walked in that direction as well and was in awe. The kitchen fridge had drawings by Nina pinned to it, with small photos of Yunho with his family and friends. One photo made me smile and blush. It was an old photo of us from college, his arm was wrapped around my shoulder, we were both gleaming with bright smiles on our face, the party strings and confetti stuck in our hairs. “We grew up so much huh.” Yunho commented, seeing me look at the picture. “Yeah, it’s unbelievable.” I said looking at him. I don’t know why it was still awkward between us. It could be me..I don’t know how to stop thinking about him. He clouded my thoughts 24/7 and I couldn’t get him out of my head. “Let’s go sit down.”
A few hours passed, mainly filled with movies and laughter from Nina as I watched Yunho play with her during slow scenes of the movies. It was nice to see him like this, I wonder why his ex would cheat and say she found someone better. He was a busy man, but he always tried to make up for his time by spending extra time with his daughter and cooking and playing with her. “Can I call y/n mommy now?” Nina asked innocently. That comment made me snap out of my thoughts. Yunho stopped giggling and sat up straight. He furrowed his eyebrows. “Why do you say that Nina?” He asked seriously. “Because she reminds me of mommy, but better.” Nina said, pouting. I just got up from the couch, “sorry Nina, but I have to go.” I said, patting her head softly before rushing to the door. I heard Yunho telling Nina to stay where she was and I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I reached the door and opened it quickly, rushing outside, only for my wrist to be caught by the person I didn’t want to look at. “y/n? What’s the matter?” “Nothing Yunho, I just have to go.” I said deadpan, I wanted to cry, tell him I loved him, but how can I without ruining our built friendship again? Yunho’s grip tightened around my wrist then I felt his other hand spin me around, forcing me to look at his chest. “Look at me,” he said sternly. I never heard this tone from him besides the times I would cry into his chest about my pathetic, toxic ex boyfriends. I was shaking slightly, maybe from the cold, or the fear of looking Yunho in the eyes. With the little courage I had, I looked him directly in the eyes, I watched his eyes soften, “Why are you trying to leave-” I cut him off, tears were in my eyes, “Yunho, please let go of me. I need to go. I can’t stay here, I’m sorry. I love Nina, but what she said... I can’t handle it. I can’t handle it because you will never see me like that.” I started, getting out of his grip, backing away slowly. “I loved you Yunho, I actually still love you. Since we were kids, but you will never see me like that, and I don’t want Nina to think I’ll be her new mom when we aren’t anything.” I continued. I didn’t even want to wait for a response, I just rushed to my car, starting it and leaving before Yunho could stop my car. I knew he didn’t love me back…but how wrong I was.
Days went by, then it was weeks. I called my assistant to tell them I got sick and wouldn’t be in for a while, I ignored every text and call that came from Yunho. I really only responded when I knew it was Nina texting from her speech pattern and little kid spelling. I couldn't face him, not after what I said. Was I being childish? Sure, but feelings make you feel like that. I want to hold him, hug him, have him tell me it’s okay, but he’s not mine, and he would never be. I wiped my tears with my tissues as I sat on my sofa with an oversize t-shirt and shorts, used tissues filled with tears and snot covered the table as a twilight movie played in the background. Way to go y/n, a grown adult crying over a problem I made myself because I couldn’t control my emotions. The movie was loudly playing until my doorbell started to ring louder than the tv, I sniffed and paused my movie. I silently groaned, not wanting to open the door. I was going to ignore it, but remembered I was sad enough to deliver food and thought it could be my poor uber eats driver holding my two pizza boxes and cake desserts with extra whip cream. I got up and wiped my face to avoid being asked if I was okay. I didn’t bother looking at my peep hole, what a mistake. As I opened my door, Yunho stood there. He was wearing a simple black tee and gray sweatpants with gray jordans. I wanted to close my door, but he caught it. “y/n..please. Let’s talk.” He says, his voice soft enough that it made me want to cry. I didn’t have the energy to try and kick him out so I just moved away from the door and stepped back. “I just want to talk about the last time I saw- are you crying?” Yunho began before seeing my bloodshot eyes, I turned around not being able to face him. “N-No I’m not.” I said trying my best not to sniffle. Yunho sighed and walked in completely, closing the door behind him. I didn’t want to look at him, until I felt his arms wrap around my body, his hands automatically wrapping around the waist. His warm body heat transferred to me and I wanted to cry even more. He slowly turned me around and gently placed my head against his chest. “You can cry..it’s okay.” he whispers. I cried into his chest, tears kept falling, and Yunho just held me in the middle of my home. I probably spent half an hour just crying into his chest. It was like the old times, and my heart ached. Yunho’s shirt was soaked by the time I slowly got out of his warm hug, despite it being a black shirt, it was noticeable I was crying into it. “I’m sorry Yunho..I’m sorry..” I began to apologize. Yunho just looked at me sadly and gave me a small supportive smile, “y/n love, it’s okay..” he whispers. My head started to ache in pain as the crying took a lot out of me, I groaned softly and put my head against my forehead. “How about you go upstairs to your room? I’ll bring you medicine.” Yunho offered. “What? No I’m okay-” “Stop lying to me please. Just go lie down. I’ll figure out where your room is later.” Yunho said sternly. Not having the energy to argue, I just simply nodded, before heading up I mumbled, “my room is the one on the right at the very end.” before walking up the stairs.
As I laid down on my bed, my head began to hurt even more, Yunho came into my room a few minutes later with a glass full of water, and some head ache medication. He set the stuff down on my night stand, and glanced around my room. My sanrio stuff animals on one side of my bed, and some small posters of music and photos of trips. He chuckles, like seeing my room matched me perfectly. “What?” I mumbled, blush growing onto my cheeks. “Nothing..nothing. Your room just fits you that’s all.” He smiled, sitting on the edge of my bed. I didn’t say anything, too scared to speak to him now that he was in my room. I basically confessed and now I have to deal with the rejection. I reached over and took the medication pills and gulp down the water before laying back in bed. “So..can you just reject me, so we can move on..” “reject you? Why would I reject you?” I frowned at his answer, did he enjoy my pain? “You came here to say I’m sorry, I’m not interested right? So go on and reject me!” I said loudly, ignoring the thumping pain in my head. Yunho just shook his head, “You’re unbelievable.” “what?” I took offense to his comment. He stretched over to the point he was hovering over me, I could feel his warm breath on my face to my neck. His long body completely covering me. “You never even let me answer you that day.” He mumbles, “Because I know-” “No you don’t y/n. Listen to me y/n, I love you as well. I always been so scared to hurt our friendship, and when we graduated. Fuck, I regretted not telling you. Yes I got married and I have my beautiful Nina, but the love never felt like how I love you.” I was speechless. Yunho liked me, like actually likes me. “I..Yunho..” I tried to talk, but nothing came out. It was a lot to process, but my headache made it worse. Yunho looked at me, biting his lip before I felt his lips against mine. It felt so good to have him on me, I kissed him back, our lips molded together like it was suppose to be like this. We kissed for a few more minutes before I pulled my head back to breath. He was so breathtaking, no words could express how good he looked. “I..let’s talk about this later..maybe..” I mumbled. He tilted his head, “Your head still hurts?” he asked, I nodded in reply. He hummed then gave me a kiss on my cheek, “I have an idea. But I need your permission.” he whispers. I furrowed my eyebrows, “What is it..?” I questioned. “Well, I heard from some friends and maybe some articles..that sex helps..but only if you want it.” he whispers, his eyes focused on me. My mouth was agape, not knowing how to answer. I mean, SEX WITH YUNHO? YES, but my mouth couldn’t say it. “I’m..I’m okay with that.” I mumbled, looking up to him. “Don’t worry, I won’t have full sex if you’re uncomfortable. Just let me take care of you. Safe word princess?” My head buzzed, because why was he like this, so caring and sexy. I just wanted him. My head clouded with thoughts of him. “Hmm..it can be red.” I whispered, feeling his chest through his t-shirt. He gave me a smile, before his hands gripped my hips, he gave me a quick kiss on my forehead, before his head reached down to my stomach.
His lips kissed my stomach, reaching my lower region, his hands handling my thighs. He gave quick licks to my inner thighs. I squirmed at the feeling, but my lower region gushed with need. “Yuyu..please.” I whined. He chuckled darkly, “you’ve been calling me Yunho the whole time, so go ahead. Keep calling me Yunho. Or maybe you can call me something different.” He teased, his hands softly rubbing my thighs. “S-Sir please..” I whined looking down at him. His eyes grew dark and he smirked. I lifted my lower region and he gently took off my shorts and panties, his hands immediately cupping my cunt. I let out a soft moan as his fingers rubbed my folds, the feeling was new, but I wanted more. I felt his hot breath and he suddenly landed his tongue onto my folds. My hands tugged on his hair, pushing him deeper into me. His tongue swirled around and sucked. I moaned out, “mhm.. Fuck..sir, feels so good.” He detached himself from my cunt and chuckled, “Yeah? You feel good baby?” He whispers, his voice an octave lower. My head was hazy, his lips touched my cunt once again. He began sucking on my clit, pleasure spreading throughout my body. My nerves were on high, I felt my head fill with dopamine, as it felt so good. My lower region was tightening and I squeezed my thighs together, softly squeezing Yunho’s head. He gripped my thighs and spread me out, opening me more as he lapped over my cunt. “I..I” I couldn’t speak, only moans and groans could be let out. “Go ahead and cum baby.” He mumbled before continuing his action. I felt myself release in his mouth and he kept eating me out as I was calming down, turning sensitive. “Y-Yu..too much.” I whined. He detached himself and I saw my juices around his mouth, as he used his fingers to wipe his mouth, I watched as he inserted his own fingers covered in my juices into his own mouth and he hummed. “You taste good baby.” he smirked. My body was tired, but my headache was gone, I gave him a drunken smile, “Do I now?” I said, feeling like I was high. Yunho just smiled and got off of my bed, “I’ll be right back.” he says, before leaving my room. He came back a few minutes later with a warm towel and more water. “Where’s your wardrobe, for your underwear.” He asked, looking around at the multiple cabinets. “Bottom left on the 3 layer.” I said, he walked over and opened it. I saw him smirk and grab an underwear then close it. “We have to use those toys next time.” He commented, I blushed at his comment. He gently wiped me, knowing I was still sensitive, and changed my panties. As he finished, he helped me drink water then put the blanket on top of me. He laid down next to me, I saw him take off his shirt before his body went under the covers. His arms wrapped around my waist, making me a small spoon in the bed, and I blushed. His head snuggled into my neck as he gently left pecks. “Let’s rest for now. We’ll speak later.” he whispers. I nodded and felt my body get tired, but I knew how I should feel now. Loved. He was in love with me, and I was in love with him. “I love you yuyu..” I mumbled before closing my eyes. “I love you too, my princess.”

~ Chapter 6. 01 ~
I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
I don't know how long I have been here. Every time I try to leave I can hear the old lady monster outside the door. I had also no idea if it was Day or night because all the freaking windows were taped black.
I really want to get out of here.
Who knows what other monster hides on this floor? I don't know if anyone would come and get me. Maybe Eun-hyuk won't let them.
I wouldn't blame him. It would be a suicide mission if they came up here. I'm not as much needed as Mister Han. So I'm going to have to get myself out here. I'm not that far away from the stairs.
If I can make a silent run for it I can close the door behind me. I haven't hurt the monster in a while so maybe she gave up looking for me.
Okay, easy.
Just sneak swiftly to the stair doors and then I'm good to go. Quickly I took some deep breaths before opening the door slowly. Through the ajar door, I looked and listened if something was there, but it was silent.
Without waiting any more I stepped outside and began to make my journey to the stairs with quick, but silent steps. With every noise I heard my head snapped over my shoulder scared the old lady monster would be behind me.
At some point, I began to think I was making up those sounds in my head because nothing was around me that could make them. I was relieved when I finally reached the stair doors.
Carefully I open the door making as little noise as possible. I could finally take a deep breath when I stepped onto the staircase and closed the door behind me.
Fuck, I'm happy that that shit is finely over. I looked around and saw that everything was still the same here. It didn't look like monsters were here recently. Good, the better for me.
With quick steps, I began to make my way downstairs. I just know that the moment I get down Eun-hyuk is going to give me a whole lecture about me staying on the main floor forever.
I can already see the look on his face when he's going to do it. I was on the third floor when my stomach turned and the ringing came back in my ears.
Before I could even brace myself or make a move. The third-floor door flew open and something bumped into me.
I felt myself hit the railing before stumbling over it. Now for the second time in just a few days, I fell down, but luckily for me, it wasn't as high as before.
A cracking sound rang through my ears when I landed on my left arm.
Holy shit that facking hurts.
I took some deep breaths trying to hold in the scream I wanted to let out when I wanted to move. My right hand was cramping from how tight I was holding my ax.
I try to concentrate on anything, but the burning pain in my arm. The distant sound of the building, the stains on the floor or wall, and the coldness of the ground I was lying on. It was soothing in a way, the cold against my skin.
"So weak." A frown came to my face when I heard someone walking towards where I was lying.
"You have always been weak." A pair of black Converse appeared in my view.
Slowly I looked up and saw myself, but her eyes were black. Just like in the dreams.
"Look at you, on the ground. Where you always end up." Great, now was not the time for this.
shaking my head I close my eyes trying to make her disappear.
"Go away," I mutter out.
I heard her giggle before I felt her squad down in front of me.
"You know I can help you. Just tell me what you want. Your desire and it will be all over." And I will end up like one of those monsters.
I shook my head opening my eyes.
"No. Never."
Another giggle left her lips.
"Oh, I'm not so sure about that. Sooner or later you will cave." Her giggles turned into a menacing laugh that got louder and louder.
Quickly put my right hand on my ear thinking they would explode if she would come closer.
My eyes shot open while I tried to catch my breath. My eyes wildly looked around trying to make some sense of where I was.
I was still at the bottom of the stairs.
Did I pass out and have a dream?
Closing my eyes I took a few deep breaths exhaling through my nose. I'm alone, it was a stupid dream. But my peace was quickly disturbed when I heard footsteps walking towards where I was lying.
Just like in the dream.
I push myself up on my right hand looking at the direction of the noise. It came from the main door in front of me.
Did they hear me?
Some relief washed over me when I saw who it was.
"Mi-na." My gaze stayed on Eun-hyuk while he kneeled down in front of me.
I could feel my eyes fill with tears and I could see that he saw that I was in pain.
"It's okay. You're safe now."
I nodded my head
"My arm. I fell on my arm. Something pushed me." I croaked out moving my gaze from him to it.
I could hear voices from behind him. If they see that my arm is hurt now and it will heal later they will know I'm infected as well.
Eun-hyuk seemed to have the same thing on his mind because he quickly to my broken arm and snapped it back in place without warning. I wanted to scream out, but he quickly put his hand on my mouth.
"Sorry." He mutters out.
I nodded my head knowing why he did it.
"Mi-na!" Ji-su came rushing out before kneeling down in front of me.
"Thank God you're okay!" She pulled me into a hug not letting me go for a while.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." I breathe out patting her back.
I could already feel my left arm healing. It still hurts, but the pain begins to subside slowly.
"Let's get her inside," Eun-hyuk spoke up making Ji-su pull away.
They both help me stand up before helping me inside the main floor. My eyes scanned the floor and saw everybody looking at me. But I didn't see Hyun-su.
Was he still upstairs?
"I'll take her to the office to see if she has any injuries," Eun-hyuk said to Ji-su.
She didn't protest and let him wrap an arm around my waist to help me walk. I know that I didn't need a check-up. This was just a way for him to pull me away from the others so that he could scold me.
When we were away from the others he finally spoke up.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
I thought that he would begin to scold me, but I guess he wanted to make sure I was alright first.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just some bruises here and there." I was waiting for him to say something else, but he didn't.
"Where is Hyun-su, and the others? Are they still upstairs?" I asked desperately wanting to know if they were okay.
"Everyone is okay. They arrived safely here on the main floor yesterday."
Yesterday?
What?
"What? Has it been this long?" Did time slip away from me that bad when I was upstairs?
"You were gone for a whole day Mi-na."
I guess I was.
That old lady monster really didn't give me another choice than to hide up there for so long. It's dangerous to be there for anyone.
"Eun-hyuk?" I mutter.
He let out a soft mm looking at my legs making sure they were okay.
"I..I want to go upstairs with Hyun-su when he needs to go."
We came to a halt before he spoke up.
"No."
I shook my head looking up at him.
"It's too dang-"
"No. Mi-na look at which state you came downstairs."
I'm not hurt that bad.
"I was fine the whole time I needed to hide, but I didn't get hurt until the last minute. Next tim-"
"There won't be a next time because there won't be one. You're not going. Look at yourself, Mi-na! You look-"
"Weak." I finished for him.
I push away from him making his arm fall next to him.
"No, Mi-na that was not what I wanted to say." He started pushing his glasses back up.
I shook my head.
"But you were thinking it. Everyone always thinks that I'm weak, but guess what? I'm not." I said clenching my hands into a fist.
"My whole life I have been taking care of myself. I have been through more shit than you can ever imagine, so don't tell me I'm weak!" I yelled not caring if someone would hear me.
I gave him one look before turning around to walk away.
"Mi-na." I rolled my eyes at his voice.
"Hey, Mi-na!" I could feel my nails digging into my palm the more I heard his voice.
I could hear him walking closer, trying to catch up with me.
"Mi-na! Stop!"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" In one swift move, I turned around with my hands stretched forward.
Within the next second Eun-hyuk flew backward landing on his back on the concrete floor.
"Oh my God," I whisper out looking at my hands to where he was lying.
What just happened? There is no way I just did that, right? I didn't even touch him!
I look at my hands scared of what the hell just happened!
My gaze went to Eun-hyuk when I heard him groan. Without thinking about my aching body I began to run towards where he was lying.
"Eun-hyuk! I'm sorry! I didn't know what ju-! I didn't mean to-!" I rambled kneeling down beside him.
"It's fine." He croaks out slowly sitting up.
"I'm sorry I don't know how. I don't what came over me. I would never hurt you on purp-"
" I know Mi-na. It wasn't you." My brows knitted together having no idea what he was talking about.
"Your eyes, they were black." He explained seeing how confused I was.
"So the monster inside did this, but I was here I saw what happened. I was angry at you, but I didn't want to hurt you." I explain feeling guilty about hurting him.
"Maybe you two intertwined for a second. It could feel your rage and you could adapt some of its powers." When he says powers it made me seem like a superhero.
Biting the inside of my cheek I nodded my head.
"I'm still sorry. Are you hurt?" He let out a chuckle rubbing the back of his head.
"I'll manage, don't worry about it." He began to stand up quickly followed by me.
"Do you still think I don't need to be locked up?" I question knowing we have to go to the group again.
"No," He simply said.
"But what if I get angry again? What if I do something worse than this?" I didn't want to hurt anyone.
Some people here are rude, but that doesn't mean I want to hurt or even worse kill them.
"You won't. This wasn't you in your normal state of mind. I know you're strong enough to hold it back if you need to." I nodded my head hoping he would be right.
I don't want to make the situation worse than it is already. He wrapped his arm back around my waist seeing I was still a little unstable, but maybe he also needed a little support. Seeing how I just made him fly across the room.
Silently we began to walk to the office. My right hand went inside my dress pocket feeling the rough edges of the photos.
"Eun-hyuk."
A soft hum came from his lips before he looked at me.
"Here," I gave him the pictures making him confused.
Making sure I was okay to stand on my own feet at first, he let go of me before taking a better look at the pictures.
"What is this?" He asked confused and I couldn't blame him.
"That's one of the reasons that man wanted to go upstairs. Choi Yoon-jae. He's not normal, a killer in fact! These are just pics of me that he took, but there were others too. These pictures are the normal ones."
Eun-hyuk looked up from the pictures when I took a pause.
"There were pictures of little girls. Bruised, cut, just tortured until they were dead. You need to lock him up far away from everybody or even send him outside! He's a killer!" I croaked out hoping he would listen.
Seeing how he wants everybody to be safe it would surprise me if he let this guy walk free.
"That won't be necessary." My eyes widen at his words.
"Eun-hyuk he killed innocent kids! You can't just let him walk free! He cou-"
"He's dead."
A frown came to my face.
How?
Did he try to run and when outside?
"Sang-wook, the man you went upstairs with. When he came back he killed him. Jae-heon told me why and showed me pictures on a phone. Pictures you just described, but he didn't tell me about these." He held up the pics making me nod.
"And Sang-wook? What happened to him?"
"He wanted to leave and die outside, but Jae-heon held him back. I guess he's somewhere on this floor."
I would like to thank him for what he did. Killing someone is not a good thing, but in this case, I'm thankful he did.
"Are you okay, Mi-na?"
I nodded my head,
"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Uhm do you know where Mister Han is?" I asked, hoping we could change the subject.
"He's at the back. It was his turn to guard." Right, they are still locked up.
Maybe it's good that he is there. That way Hyun-su has someone other than that asshole to keep him company.
"Thanks." I turned around when Eun-hyuk called my name.
"Mi-na wait, are you sure you're not hurt anywhere else? you can stay in the security room to rest if you want to. It's only me with sometimes Jae-heon, Mister Han, and Ji-su in there."
I shook my head.
"No, I'm fine," I explain before turning around to walk away.
I was honestly a little nervous not only to face Mister Han but to also face Hyun-su. I promised I would meet him downstairs safe and sound. I hope he isn't mad at me for breaking that promise.
When I turned the corner I saw Mister Han sitting there looking at the wall in front of him. I swallow hard before taking a step forward. When he heard my steps his head turned to me.
"Mi-na." His face brightened when he said my name and he sat up straight.
"Hey," I said softly standing next to him.
"How are you? I'm happy you're back. I thought something had happened to you or even left." I could hear the concern in his voice which made me feel guilty.
"I'm fine. I was just hiding from a monster upstairs and couldn't come down sooner." I explain giving him a small smile.
"I'm sorry that happened to you. Hyun-su told me you came upstairs with him, I was concerned for you." I shook my head quickly.
"I'm fine and back now." He grabbed my hand giving it a little squeeze.
"I'm happy you're back."
I smiled nodding my head.
"Me too."
I look at the cell door seeing it has been upgraded to make it stronger.
"Do you have the key? I need to talk to Hyun-su." I asked looking back at him.
"He isn't here."
A confused look came over my face.
"What? Did they kick him out?!" I asked panicking.
"No, don't worry. They have sent him upstairs to gather supplies and other stuff we need."
"I thought they would only send him up for emergencies."
Mister Han let out a sigh.
"I know, but Eun-hyuk said that we need things from there." My eyes widen at his answer.
"How can they do that?! Don't they know how dangerous it is up there?! Besides he isn't some animal they can use for their own personal stuff!" I could feel the anger grow larger the more I thought about it.
"I know, I have talked about it with Eun-hyuk, but he says it's necessary for our survival." Of course, he would say that.
I lean against the opposite wall taking a deep breath.
"Maybe it was a good thing he went." I looked at him confused.
"What do you mean?"
Mister Han looked at the cell door before looking at me.
"When you went missing he kind of turned into his monster. Well more like himself, but angrier."
My eyes widened when he said that.
"He firstly almost attacked Sang-wook thinking he had done something to you or left you behind. When you hadn't returned an hour later he got madder and restless. We looked everywhere on the first floor, but you were never found."
I can't blame them for not finding me. I'm happy they didn't come looking for me upstairs.
"Some of us thought that you maybe had left the building, so he wanted to go look outside for you. We stopped him because we all knew that would be suicide. So Eun-hyuk suggested that he could go upstairs and look for you while he could gather stuff, just in case you would have gone back upstairs." He explains making me nod my head.
I let out a sigh sitting down on the ground.
"He was restless when he was in here. I don't think he slept much." Now I feel more guilty for leaving everyone.
Everything was already hard for him and I made it harder.
"I'm so stupid," I mutter putting my head in my hands.
"Hey, this isn't your fault okay? Nobody could have known what would happen." Still, I felt guilty for making them go through that.
"The most important thing is that you're back." I look up at him laying my chin on my knees.
"Yeah, I guess," I mutter out.
It was silent for a second before we heard footsteps coming our way. I thought it would be Eun-hyuk who needed to talk to Mister Han, but I was wrong.
"Mi-na?"
I look to my side before jumping up. Hyun-su stood there looking surprised at me.
"You're back."
Quickly he walked over to me and for a second I thought he would hug me, but he didn't.
It seemed like he held himself back at the last second.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I left. There was a monster and I needed to hide until it was gone," I mutter out.
His gaze stayed on me for a second before answering.
"It's fine. You're back now." After that, he walks past me putting his bag and weapon against the wall next to the door before taking the keys from Mister Han.
We watch as he unlocks it before giving it back. I wanted to stop him. I didn't want him to be stuck there.
It wasn't right and I hated that I couldn't do anything about it. The door closed shut making me flinch from the loud noise it made.
"Mi-na?" My head turned to Mister Han listening to what he wanted to say.
"At least one person has to be here to guard the door. Can you stay, I have to talk to Eun-hyuk." Even if they turned and escaped I doubt that door would hold them back.
"Yeah, sure." I gave him a small smile receiving a small thank you from him before he wheeled away.
I let out a sigh taking a seat against the wall where Mister Han was sitting. I wish I could make them see that he isn't dangerous.
Even if he would turn I don't think he would hurt any of us.

i was wondering if i can request a romantic male atsv matchup please?
i’m a girl, 19, aries, enfp, my pronouns are she/her. i could be really shy sometimes due to my bad anxiety, but mostly i’m very sweet and bubbly person, i’m super affectionate with people who i love. i’m also very sensitive and emotional person too.
my height is 5’5, i have a petite figure, have some boob, long brown hair and green eyes,
i would describe my style as a hyperfeminine. i’m polyglot and i speak 6 languages, and i’m studying linguistics in uni. my other passions are makeup, cinematography and music ofc! i’m obsessed with rabbits and bunnies ₍⑅ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎♡ overall, i love cute things, such as clothes, accessories, makeup, stuffies and etc.
hope it’s okay! sorry for my grammar, english isn’t my first language.
thank you and have a nice day <3
Hi there! :D I hope your day is even better!! <3 (and dw about your English, it’s flawless!!) Without further ado, I match you with:
Spider-Noir!
Tumblr media
A handful of headcanons!
He loves how emotional and sensitive you can be
With your emotional-ness and his dark, brooding personality, you guys have a lot of deep talks
Life, death, dreams, disappointments—anything and everything that resides in the deeper parts of your minds
On that note, he appreciates that you’re a fellow intellectual
He loves to explore intellectual topics in discussion as well as emotional ones, so you’re a perfect fit; you can do both!
Conversations with you are the kindling to the warmth your relationship
As for your shyness, that’s not a problem for him
He’s not exactly a socialite himself, so he won’t be dragging you to parties or anything
But he’s not nervous around people like you are, so when you do go out in public, he takes the lead
Though he really doesn’t like socializing all that much, he’s more than glad to do it for you
He also loves taking care of you in general
He sees you as a delicate flower, small (in comparison to him, at least) and in need of guarding
He knows you’re the one when you return the favor :)
Being Spider-Man is hard work, and being able to come home to someone who’s soft and kind is the best thing in the world for him
He’s a pretty masculine guy, so he doesn’t take much interest in your more feminine side
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t support you!!
He’ll often surprise you with some new makeup or a bunny plush, just to see your face light up
His nicknames for you include “dear,” “my flower,” and “my love”
He loves to be called “dear,” “honey,” and “my hero”
A little drabble!
The window flew open, a cold drift blasting through the living room. Drops of rain dribbled onto the carpet, soon overshadowed by the moisture pouring off a black trench coat that slipped through the opening.
The window clicked shut again, and all was quiet save for the ragged breathing of the man in the coat.
You stood up from your reclined position on the couch, hurrying over to him.
“You’re back,” you smiled, opening your arms and wrapping them around his middle. You hardly noticed the icy rain he was drenched in as it began soaking through your clothes.
“Yes, my love,” he breathed, still regaining the wind in his lungs. “Tonight was hard.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” You pulled away, looking with sincere concern into his goggles.
He pulled off his mask, revealing a pained expression that just about split your heart in two.
“Oh, Peter…” you buried your face in his shoulder again, rubbing circles on his back.
You pulled away reluctantly after a moment. “Let me make you something warm to drink, then you can tell me all about it.”
The smallest of smiles curved his thin lips, and he leaned down to kiss you. “That sounds perfect. Let me change into something more suitable. Something that doesn’t leave you sopping wet, at least.” A little glimmer in his eye made you giggle as you finally let go, leaving him to change.
You positioned yourself on the couch with two mugs of tea resting on the coffee table. Peter sat on the ground in front of you, wrapping his arms around your hips and occasionally leaning his head against your thigh as he spoke. He didn’t need the tea; your sympathy was far more warming than a hot drink could ever be.
And… a song!
We Belong Together (Ritchie Valens)
You're mine
And we belong together
Yes, we belong together
For eternity
You're my, my baby
And you'll always be
I swear by everything I own
You'll always, always be mine
Tumblr media
I hope you enjoyed! And thank you for your support, lovely!!

PART ONE

She never saw herself going to Brazil. It was never on the list of dream places to visit. In all honesty Gabby had never really thought about Brazil at all but when Frankie called her asking for her help. She couldn’t say no. He saved her life once and she owed him. So, without even thinking about it ,she hopped on a plane from The Netherlands for São Paulo. He didn’t tell her why and how of it all. Frank needed her help and that was all she needed to know.

That was all fine and good, until she was wandering down a dirty street trying to find the right green favela at almost midnight on a random Tuesday.

Jet lagged and grouchy

She had been in dangerous places before. She had worked for a non-for-profits for almost four years. She had been an aid worker for the ten years before that.

Gabby had been all over the world, but she had never walked through a slum at thistime of night. She hated to admit it.

Gabby was a little on edge.

Checking every window and door of every house, every alleyway but she couldn’t see very far.

Why the heck was Frankie here in the first place?

Gabby was starting to get ticked off. She flew across the planet to help him and he couldn’t even met her at the airport, the city centre or even at the top of the street. Gabby didn’t need a horse and carriage, but an escort might have been nice.

Suddenly she heard a strange sounding bird

“Caw caw”

A human sounding bird, from on high.

Gabby frowned before rolling her eyes and turning around putting her hands on her hips

“Come out, come out wherever you are” she sang playfully “I know it’s one of you”

She heard feet sliding down a dirt slop and didn’t have to wonder if they landed on their feet because it sounded way too graceful for a bulky military dude.
“In all the slums in all the world”
“Hey Benny” she said sweetly before hugging him “What has he got me into?”
“You’re not going to like it Gabs”
He took her bag out of her hand and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Strangely it did make all the difference.
“Is he at least in one piece?”
“Physically we are all okay. We’re just up a creek, that’s all”
“Okay. Well, I’ve been up a creek before. We can figure it out”
He led her over to the right place and guided her into the front door. The only person she saw when she walked through that door was Frankie. She sighed and rushed into his arm before he picked her up of the dirty floor. She felt his hand on the back of her head, holding her for a few more seconds than he should have.
“I’m okay”
“Hey” she said before looking around the room before seeing a tall blonde guys standing in a corner “You, I don’t know”
“Will”
“Oh, you’re the brother”
“I’m the smart one”
“Well. I mean. Blows to his head and all. It’s not difficult”
“Nah, he was born that stupid” Will laughed before Benny hit Will’s arm. Gabby had four brothers. She understood.
“Someone better tell me what’s going on. Garcia, I’m looking at you”
“Why are you looking at me?”
“You are normally the mastermind and I’m guessing since I’m here that plans A through C or even D haven’t worked”
“We need you to help us move something”
“Something you shouldn’t have?”
“Something that can’t be seen by anybody else”
“Like what?” she asked hesitantly
“If you could use all those connections that I know you have. So, we can move this. That would be great”
“You want me to use company resources? What are you trying to move?”
He moved aside and looked at the two palettes in front of her. Pope moved the cloth off the palette and showed her a corner of the money
“Someone is going to skin you alive”
“Costa Rojas”
“Nope” she spun on her heels “Nope. You can go to hell”
“It’s not that hard, Gabby. Just call someone. You don’t even have to come with us. I don’t know. Have someone meet us”
"Garcia, if you think I'm going to use my company’s reputation to smuggles dirty money home for you. You are insane"
"It's that or we all die. Including Frankie" Her mouth fell open stunned that he would even use that as a tactic “Just thought you might want to return the favour”
“You’re an arsehole”
“Funny, it’s not the first time you’ve called me that”
“Yes, and it is a little more true every time I use it”
“Oh come on, I’m not that bad”
“You’re blackmailing me”
“Only a little bit”
“Gabby” Frankie started to speak before she fixed him with a glare
“You do not get to speak right now. I’m just as pissed at you” she rubbed the back of her neck and sighed “I have to get out of here for a bit”
“Gabs”
“Frank” she warned before he watched her walk out the door.
Frankie glared at Pope every emotion written over his face.
“She’ll be back. She’ll be fine” Pope shook his head.
He hadn’t been expecting her to be this stubborn. Although he shouldn’t have been surprised. Gabby turns stubbornness into a fine art.
It was the only reason she was still alive.
“I’ll go with her” Will offered
“Thanks man” Frankie said rubbing his right shoulder, stressed
She had stopped down the street the rip the plastic wrapper of her fresh packet of cigarette. She didn’t know why she had brought them at the airport before boarding but it made sense to her now and thank God she had.
Her hands shook with rage as she tried to light the cigarette between her lips.
“You wanna go for a drink?” someone asked quietly behind her “You could use one”
She turned around to see Will leaning against the closest building
“I don’t drink”
He took the lighter out of her hand and lit her cigarette for her before slipping the lighter back into the packet.
“Well, you can watch me drink. We’ll get you something else”
“It’s almost midnight”
Will offers her his arm “Come on, you haven’t known me long enough to be pissed at me yet”
Despite herself. Gabby laughed, she took his arm and they walked down the street

Since the beginning - The beast x (F) Reader
Warnings: jealousy(?) and gun shots
Word Count: 2.2k ish
Other: there might be spelling and grammar issues, also this was created a long time ago
Requested by: no one
when the curse had occurred, y/n a maid at the castle was turned into a raven for some reason. but when a young maiden arrived at the castle for her father, feelings that y/n had buried long ago resurfaced.
Another petal fell this morning... y/n thought as she landed next to Mrs. Potts and Chip, two of the few people who knew she was a raven, the others just thought she had disappeared. "Well good morning y/n," Mrs. Potts said as she landed, y/n nodded in response, ever since the curse had happened and she turned to a raven, y/n was unable to speak without it coming out as a squawk or a caw.
"Hi, y/n!!" Chip hopped up and down on his plate, y/n cawed in response, telling him hello. "Did you hear! Did you hear y/n? There's a man in the dungeons!"
Y/n tilted her head, not knowing about this news. She looked to Mrs. Potts asking for confirmation, "Yes there is indeed a man in the dungeons," she nodded, she looked towards Chip then back at Y/n, "It's a shame for the man though.." Y/n looked even more confused. "I heard the master threw him in the dungeons because the man had tried to pick a rose.." y/n now understood why it was a sad day for the man.
All the people in the castle had been cursed because their master had refused to let the old lady in, well enchantress. The only way they knew when their time would run out was the rose that the master had refused to take.

Time skip
Y/n was sitting on a chair in the main entrance, pruning her feathers when all of a sudden the doors swung open, startling Y/n and sending all of her feathers to fluff up. She squawked in surprise and fell backward onto the floor. She looked to the door to see a beautiful young maiden with a stick in her hands.
Y/n got up letting her feathers lie flat. Lumière and Cogsworth are on a desk-type thing, near where y/n had fallen. "Look cogsworth. A beautiful girl." Lumiere whispered to Cogsworth, who looked back at him.
"I can see it's a girl. I lost my hands, not my eyes." He retorted. "But what if she is the one? The one who will break the spell?" Lumiere asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
The girl turned towards them, "Who said that? Who's there?" She asked moving towards Lumiere and Cogsworth. All of a sudden a cough sounded throughout the hall. The girl grabbed Lumiere and ran towards the sound, y/n lifted off from the floor and flew behind the girl, down towards the dungeons.
The girl stopped at the Iron bars of a cell. Y/n moves to the back side of the outside of the cell, to the open 'window' at the back, and lands on the edge. Seeing a man at the bars, reaching through them to the girl. "Papa!" She said.
"Belle? How did you find me!?" The man asked. The girl, Belle set down Lumiere and grasped her father's hands. "You're hands are ice. We need to get you home." She Said worriedly.
"Belle, you must leave at once. This castle is alive! Now go, before he finds you!" He warned her, y/n flew around to the other side again, sitting on a lamp outside of the cell. "Who?!" Her voice echoed throughout the dungeons.
The master of the castle roared out. Belle got into a fighting stance ready to defend herself. The beast jumped from one staircase to the other as he walked through the dungeons.
"Who's there? Who are you?" She asked, his footsteps seemed to circle her.
"Who are you?" He answered back. "I've come for my father." She Said.
"Your father is a thief" Y/n could tell he was mad, if what Mrs Potts had said was true, she understood why he was mad.
"Liar!" She obviously didn't believe the beast at all.

"HE STOLE A ROSE!" He yelled, y/n winced at the sudden loud noise. "I asked for the rose! Punish me not him!"
Belle's father chimed in "No, he means forever. Apparently, that's what happens around here when you pick a flower."
"A life sentence for a rose?" She spoke in disbelief, "I received eternal damnation for one. I'm merely locking him away... now do you still wish to take your father's place?"
After that, Belle asked the beast to reveal himself and that is when y/n decided she should leave. She didn't want to be noticed too much.
Time skip to the dance between Belle and the Beast.
Y/n was sitting up in the ceiling of the ballroom, watching the scene unfold. Belle had taken the beast's hands and started to dance with him. Y/n's stomach was burning with jealousy, and her heart was aching with sadness. She had loved the prince since the beginning, but to the enchantress, I guess it wasn't good enough.
Now here was this girl falling in love with him, and him already in love... but y/n was long forgotten by the prince. She didn't understand. But she did see all the reasons why the prince loved Belle more than her.
Time skip to the battle (again)
Y/n couldn't do anything but watch as all her friends were fighting, she had her talons sure but she couldn't bring herself to use them against anyone, even if they were intruders.
As the battle raged on she began to worry for the prince. She noticed someone going up the steps unnoticed, he had a gun. She followed him to see what he was doing.
He was looking for the prince when he found him, the beast seemed unphased. "Hello, beast. I am Gaston. Belle sent me" y/n flinched at the name, she did not like Belle much, she was nice sure, but it was just out of jealousy.
The beast had no hope left in his eyes, y/n was sitting in front of him a few feet away. He didn't seem to notice her.
Gaston had his pistol cocked, his fingers on the trigger, and he pulled it. The beast groaned and fell over the edge. Y/n squawked, scared as he fell but she saw him latch onto the next tower and climb up. Relief washed over her body.
She looked back to Gaston and saw him go to reach for an arrow for his crossbow, but there wasn't anything there, he spun around to see Belle "Belle?" He said she looked pissed "Where is he?!" Belle snaps the arrows over her knees.
Gaston grabbed her arm "When we return to the village, you will marry me, and the beast's head will hang on our wall!" He said forcefully, "Never!".
Time skip to the last shot firing from Gaston before he falls.
"NO!!" Gaston fires one last time before the bridge underneath him collapses, letting him fall to his death. The beast collapses on the floor with Belle hovering over him. Y/n lands next to them, wings drooping slightly seeing him die.
Neither of them notices her, nor the enchantress as she entered the crumbling room, right before the beast takes his last few breaths, y/n climbs on top of his chest, and Belle and the beast are confused. Y/n flaps her wings so she's hovering above the beast as he's dying.
She starts squawking at Belle trying to get her away from the prince, as the beast takes his final breath Belle has had enough of the bird in front of her and swings her arm at the bird, knocking y/n down onto the floor.
As the hit was too hard for y/n she lies on the floor wings spread out, as she looks to the beast with glossy eyes, who had watched her fall to the ground but was too weak to even say anything.
The beast takes his last breath as Belle cries out, telling him she loves him. Y/n takes a last breath before saying her final words before falling unconscious, "I've loved you since the beginning" and then only then after the enchantress hears those words. She revokes the curse and slowly starts turning everyone back to normal, starting with the beast.
After everyone was back to normal, and the beast was talking to Belle about how he loves her, both Belle and the prince see something in the corner of their eye. They both look to see the bird from before glowing. Belle knows what's happening because the same thing happened to the prince when he was turning back.
She gasped knowing that she had hit a person. The bird lifted off into the air, limp wings, talons, and neck. Her body starts to transform back into her normal body. She's set back on the ground sitting upright.
Y/n looks around, she looks at her hands, then at her feet. "I'm human..?" She touches her face "My beak is gone..." she touches her hair "I have no more feathers..!" She stands up "im human again!!" She yells she doesn't notice the two behind her, and she runs down the stairs "Mrs.Potts!!!" She keeps yelling for the woman as she runs out of the doors to the castle.

The woman looks up and sees y/n running towards her holding her dress so she doesn't trip. Mrs. Potts gets up off the ground along with Chip, she runs towards y/n and hugs her. Chip runs up and hugs both the women's legs.
The two girls break the hug and Y/n picks up Chip hugging him properly "Y/n you're back to normal!" He exclaims hugging the girl back, "I know! I know! And so are you!" She sets him down and everyone looks at her in disbelief. "Y/n is that really you?" Plumette asks, y/n nods and everyone cheers knowing that she is back with them.
The prince and Belle come out but they don't notice the two yet "Where were you all this time?" Lumière asks, she looks to him. "I've been the raven that you've all seen occasionally.." everyone looks relieved that she was safe all this time.
"I can tell you love her.." Belle says to the prince, while everyone is asking y/n questions and reuniting with the people from the village. He looks at her a bit red "What..?" She shakes her head and smiles softly, "I can see the way you look at her. You say you love me but, the emotions in your eyes when you look at me and when you look at her are completely different."
"You loved her before you loved me.." she says before walking off. Plumette notices the prince but doesn't see Belle anywhere. She nudges Lumière and points to the prince. "My prince!" Everyone including y/n looks at the prince, and everyone smiles but the tears start to well up in y/ns eyes as she remembers that the prince loves Belle and she loves him. She walks away, and towards the stables where her horse once was.
The only person who notices her leaving is the prince, he slips away and follows her, to find her hand on one of the pillars and staring into the stall. The smell of the horses that were once here stale in her nose. He comes up next to her. "So...you were the raven that was always following me.." her gaze doesn't falter. "Yes I was sir" he hated how her voice was so dull.
"Y/n look at me.." she turned her head to look at him but ended up colliding with his lips, her eyes went wide, but his hands went to her hips and pulled her closer, but she didn't dare pull away, she just melted into the kiss.
Time skip to "Belle" and the beasts wedding
The wedding was beautiful and y/n and Belle were talking. They had become great friends after the fact. The prince came up behind y/n and asked her to dance.
She said yes and so he took her out onto the dance floor. Garderobe was singing tale as old as time as they danced. Y/n was looking at him as they danced. "What?" He asks smiling, "How would you feel about growing a beard?" He growls playfully and they both smile.
I hoped you guys enjoyed reading this. I've had this idea stuck in my head a while so I decided I was like ya know what, let's start a Wattpad book and this can be the first story, again thank you so much! Have a good day or night!

Cruel Reality
Tumblr media
Chapter 1
A/N: I won't be using 'reader' instead she (you) will be adressed as Reality or Rea. English is not my first language so kindly excuse my grammar. Also thank you for your patience! I was supposed to update this last Thursday, but school got in the way. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy reading this and thank you for giving this a shot. ^^
Warning: Character death, evil female lead.
Jessamy kept pleading to the primordial being to release her master. The only reason why Reality has yet to kill her was because the raven held a special place in her heart. She hates Dream, yes. But that doesn't mean she also hates his subjects.
She begged and begged, even mentioning the sleep sickness that has risen. Reality only stared at the Burgess’ house with cold eyes and replied.
“Let him and this shitty world suffer.”
The sky gloomed as the Magus looked out the window and was only able to see Jessamy. ‘He will die soon,’ Reality decided after she saw his plans for the raven.
“Fly back to the Dreaming, Dear Jessamy.” She waved her hand at the bird, white tendrils made of light engulfing her. The raven, against her will, flew away out of sight.
Reality returned to her world, not caring of the human realm going to chaos with the sleep sickness.
What greeted her there though, only caused her heart to ache. A paradise where it is always night. This was the place where they met, where they had their first everything...
And where it all went downhill.
Tumblr media
At the altar where her new life with the King of Dreams should have begun, she stood. Hundreds of years has passed yet every fiber of her being always leads her here. Imprisoning Morpheus in a fish tank did not make her feel any better. Not even a little!
Marriage didn't even exist when Morpheus left her. But it already did in her world. And Dream introduced it to the humans in their sleep. That was not a good idea.
She believed he was mocking her by doing that. Right after he abandoned her, humans began finalizing their union with their other half through weddings. Soon a tradition started where the bride is to wear a white gown during their wedding. Oh how that infuriated her.
Now just like her own, most married couples on earth did not meet their happy end.
No, happy endings are just for fairy tales.
Months later, she returned to the waking world. Only to find out that not only had Burgess died, but Jessamy had been killed. The young Alex had buried the raven after he shot her. Her soul lingering around her own grave.
She wept for the innocent raven. Guilt drowning her hate for Morpheus. The humans could not hear her cries, but Dream did.
Tumblr media
"Reality..."
From where he's trapped, he could hear her familiar wails of pain and sorrow. How could he forget the sound of it when he caused her to do that for the first time centuries ago.
Though Reality cursed him and probably had something to do with his capture, he couldn't help but blame himself for pushing her to do this. For being weak to get captured by mere humans and for being so selfish to do as he pleased at their wedding.
He grieved once again for his friend, and for his first love who he will never get back again.
They both grieved that day.

Master List
Now being back home Sibyl didn't know what to do. She spent the afternoon yesterday doing upkeep. From laundry that had been sitting there for an extra week, cleaning out the rotten food from her fridge, and answering the total of three messages while she was gone. But after a night of sleep in her own bed, she woke to not wanting to do anything.
Sibyl could swear any day prior she had a thought of "If I was home I could..." Yet now she was home she had no idea what to do.
Sibyl spent most of the morning staring down her works in progress, a comfort show on in the background. There was no modivation to do anything. It just turned to her watching the same show for the uptenth time. All while hating herself for not being productive.
When lunch time rolled around she came to the realization that there wasn't anything to eat, as she threw it out the night before. Sibyl tried to see if her friend would go out with her. She didn't even get her friend to answer her phone.
She was gathering up her things, deciding to go out on her own. She was checking what cash she had when there came a tap on her window. On the other side of the glass sat a large black bird. She only knew of one that would come knocking on her window. She rushed to unlock it, and lift it open. "Matthew?" she questioned.
"Who else could it be?" he joked as he fluttered in and landed on her counter.
Sibyl closed her window to keep out the summer heat. "I intended it more to question why you are here," she clarified.
"I'm a free bird, I can go where I want," he told her, flapping his wings.
"You're bored, aren't you," Sibyl deadpanned.
Matthew looked away. "A bit, yeah. There's nothing going on in the Dreaming."
"Well I was going to go get lunch. I would enjoy some company," Lore offered, sticking her phone in her pants pocket.
Matthew flew over and landed on her shoulder, something he had only started to do the day before. "Sure," he agreed, "I wanna see what people do when they see me on your shoulder."
They stared. Some kids pointed. The tired worker at the cafe chose to ignore it. The most unique thing to happen was a dog barking at them. But no one said a word.
"You got any roommates I should be worried about?" Matthew asked as he took in the place.
"No," Sibyl assured him. She sat down on her couch, ready to dig into her to go food. "I live alone."
Matthew nodded his head. Sibyl smiled, such a human reaction coming from an animal. Something she thought could never be a reality. There been a lot of things that have changed for her very quickly. "Have you ever been to hell?" Sibyl asked.
"Yeah..." Matthew said sounding unenthused and far off.
Sibyl knew what was up with her. Why she couldn't bring herself to do anything, let alone have interest in doing anything. She was worrying. Normally she'd be able to sit her own mind up with logic, or plain out proving her worries were unfounded. But worry about someone you just started to get to know, and actually sorta like, going to Hell with the possibility of not coming back, wasn't something one can think themselves out of. Cause by all logic, Morpheus most likely won't come back.
"What's it like?" Sibyl almost whispered the question.
Matthew hoped down to settle on the couch next to Sibyl. "Cold," he started, "and weird. It is everything you think it is, yet not at the same time."
"Do you believe in hell?" the bird asked, remembering his conversation with Morpheus when they first arrived in hell.
Sibyl tried to laugh. "Sorta have to at this point," she joked. "But I did before. Grew up Christian, went to church every Sunday, said prayer on holiday with the extended family, and watched VeggieTales. As a teen I started not to believe. If God was real, why would so many bad things happen, why didn't people care about one another, why did my prayers go unanswered.
It upset my mother, but my belief was broken. I didn't care why the universe was. I was, and I would be what I wanted to be. But the things your told as a kid they stick with you, and it's human nature to wonder what comes next. So alway in the back of my mind I believe Hell existed, and since it did I was destined to end up in it's pits. I never feared it, I just accepted it as a fact, much like how every living thing dies."
"People only go to hell because that is where they believe they should go," Matthew confessed a secret of the universe. Something he overheard, of which he shouldn't have.
Sibyl smirked, "Sound like Christianity." She bit down, taking a too large bite.
"What about Lucifer?" she asked as she finished chewing. "Do you think Morpheus will be okay?"
Matthew looked to his feet. "I want to believe so." While it was an opinion, it also shared a truth.
----------------
Still unable to get herself to do anything, Sibyl turned in early for the night. It was weird waking up back in the Dreaming. She knew she was dreaming. It didn't feel as real as it usually did, like all dreams. She was standing in the throne room, barefeet on cold marble floors. She scanned up the stairs to his throne, where she'd always spot him. Where better to look for him than the place you always find him.
Sibyl laughed to herself. She didn't realize how much she's grown attached to the guy in such a short amount of time. He was quite and brooding. But in a thoughtful way. He would take in every words given to him and think tirelessly for the perfect response to get what he wanted back. Even if it was no answer at all. While he had a weird way of showing it, he did care. Changing his approach just requires communication, which Sibyl has plenty of practice with.
"Lady Sibyl?" the voice of Lucienne echoed from behind.
Sibyl glanced back and gave a smile to the familiar face. "I told you Lucienne, Sibyl is just fine," she reminded her. She glanced back at the throne. "Or Lily, it's what my friend's call me."
"Alright, Sibyl." Lily rolled her eyes. Of course she'd choose the more formal one. "May I ask what you are doing here? And how you got here?"
Lily shrugged. "Sorta just dreamed myself here," she confessed.
Lucienne looked to where her gaze was. It was practically glued to the throne, a melancholy smile tugging at her lips. "You must dearly miss him."
Lily let out a laughed. "I guess I do."
-------------
Lily looked up from her hands when she heard the sound of footsteps approaching her. She didn't know how much time had passed, it had probably been hours. She smiled at the familiar man walking towards her.
"I hope you haven't been waiting long," Morpheus commented.
Lily smirked, "I was the one who decided to wait." He came and sat down on the stairs next to her. "I'm glad to see you are alright."
"I apologized for any worry I may have caused," Morpheus apologized.
"Nah," she refused it. "My thoughts are my own problems. If I want to worry about my friend, I will."
Morpheus turned to look at her. She still got unsettled by the sight of his helm and not a face. "I am touched that you have concern for my well being," he told her, "Thank you, Sibyl."
"Lily," she corrected him. "No one calls me Sibyl. It's a family name, so gotta a couple others in my life. You never asked, so I never told you. But I keep thinking I'm in trouble whenever I hear that name." She finished off with a laugh, not to sour the light tone between them.
"So, how was Hell?" Lily was quick to change the topic.
Morpheus pulled out an old key made of a dark metal. "Closed," he answered nonchalantly. "Lucifer had left their station. Giving me the key to Hell."
"What?" she asked in confusion.
-----------------
Lily jumped at the sudden appearance in front of her. "Fuck," she hissed as she had knocked a mug into the ground. She let out a groan looking at the shattered pieces and spilt coffee. "I really need to put a bell on you."
"Apologies," Morpheus apologized, stepping around the counter to help Lily pick up the mess.
Lily shied him away, flicking a towel at him. "I've got it," she told him. But before she could pick up a single piece of shatter ceramic, it all disappeared into sand. "Well, that works..."
"Are you prepaired to go?" he asked her.
Lily nodded, "Just let me grab something." She walked past him into the door behind him
His gaze followed her until she disappeared through the door way. Dream's gaze shifted to the canvases propped against the wall. He lifted one of the paintings to take a look at it. Sprawled across the canvas was a forest in fall. In the middle ground, almost missable, was a figure clad in mourning clothes. The next one was a cave of blues and white with warm reflections. The one after was a pair of lovers playing on tree swing surrounded by blooming greenery.
"Oh, yeah, those," Lily sighed, stepping out her her room was a bag over her shoulder. "I had been waiting for a sunny day to photograph them."
Dream looked at the final painting. The pair of figures sat next to eachother, covered in shadows casted by the sunset. "It's a story," he commented. Quite a simple story. One of new love and the lose of it.
Sibyl shrugged, "That's sorta what I do. Every series I paint tells a story. I tried making comics before, but just dosen't feel the same."
"You clearly take insperation from impressionalism," Dream commented, remembering who her favorite artist is. The background where more strokes of color than anything realistic. By the people in her paintings look so beautifully blended that they could walk off the painting if the so desired.
Lily stood next to him, gazing at the painting Morpheus was still holding up. "My friend likes teasing me that I don't know how to paint backgrounds," she confessed with a laugh. "She's not much of an art person, so she dosen't get it."
The meaning from such a decision was very easy to figure out. Someone could put in minimal thought with basic art knowledge and come to the meaning. "The people and who they are matter more than where it happens."
"Yeah, other artist have critiqued saying it too simple of symbolism, but they're just a bunch of stuck up picks," Lily groaned, "That's why I never went to art school."
----------------
Lily halted in her speedy walk to go eat breakfast. "Well hello there," she greeted the familiar helm. "What bring you here so early in the morning?"
"I've come to advise you to stay away from the dinning hall," he told her.
Sibyl tilted her head in confusion. "Why?" she wondered.
"Word has spread that I have the key to hell," he told her, "Many have come to ask for it to be handed over to them, and more will come. I do not wish for you to come to harm from these visitors."
"Should I just stay in my room?" Lily wondered hesitantly. Not that she'd complained, she had just planned to go to the boarded of Nightmare to sketch the hilariously drastic devide of the land.
"No," Morpheus assured her, "The guest ar to stay in the dinning hall until this evening where they will be shown to their rooms. You are welcome to go anywhere in the palace, and in the dreaming."
Lily gave an awkward thumbs up. "What about food...?" she wondered, feeling her empty stomach churn.
"Meals will be delivered to you chamber," he told her, "Someone will be up with your breakfast shortly." He found it cute how he could visibly see her relax with the assurance of food.
"Saddly, with needing to host the visitors, I will not be able to spend anytime with your today," Morpheus shared. He was glad to see a small grown appear on Lily's face. "Matthew will once again join you, if you need anything just let him know." With a bow of the head he turned to leave.
"Morpheus," Lily called after him before he could get too far. "If you want to, you can stop buy this evening," she offered, "Again, if you want to. Don't feel like you need to."
Dispite the fact Dream did not need to breath, he felt his breath hitch. Even if their relationship stayed like this for eternity, he would be happy. "We shall see," he told her. Who's to tell what event may occur with the guests.
-----------
Dream softly knocked on the door to Lily's chambers. He was not sure if she had yet to trun in for the night. With most guests requesting to meet him personally, his evening ran longer than he had hoped. His unbeatinf heart fluttered at the should of hurried shifting from the other side of the door.
Lily opened the door, a smile on her face. "Well hello there," she repeated the greeting from this morning. "Wasn't sure if you were going to pop in." She opened to door wider, inviting him in.
"It would be quite rude to turn down an invitation from a lady," he told her with a small laugh.
Sibyl closed the door behind him. "So, how was your day?" she wondered, trying to spark conversations.
Morpheus was silent in thought. Lily settled on her sitting room couch, waiting patiently for his answer. He settled down in an arm chair just to her right. "I have much to think about," he confessed.
"I believe it," she agreed with a scoff, "Still trying to wrap my head around the whole 'key to hell' thing. I can't imagine who'd want it."
"That would not be hard, most of them are still known as myths to humans," Morpheus told her.
Sibyl raised an eyebrow, skeptical of his words. "Like who?" she quedtioned.
"There are the Asier, Odin and his son Thor have come as a delegation, even brought the trickster Loki with them." Dream was a mused by the look of shock of Lily's face, knowing it would only get more dramatic the more he shared. "Sent from their own Pantheon is Anubis, Bast, and Bes. By himself is Susano-O-No-Mikoto. To reclaim hell are the demons. Azazel, Choronzon, and Merkin. There are also the emissaries from both Choas and Order, respectively. Then there are the angels Duma and Remiel to over see it all. Finally are a pair of fae siblings Cluracan and Nuala sent by Queen Titania to see to the key not changing hands."
Lily was silent, looking tk the ground with an unreadable expression. "Dude you just broke my understanding of everything," she told him in a serious tone. "But how or who gave Matthew a balloon? Cause he let it go in my room, and it sorta phased into the ceiling, and now red latex pieces keep randomly falling out of it.... It's been a really weird couple of hours."
"I'll see to it that it stops," Morpheus assured.
"No," she laughed, "I wanna see how long it take for everything to fall back down."
-----------------
Lily had perched herself on a stool before an easel. She had spent most of the day there, and her joint weren't enjoying the awkward angle they were forced to keep. She knew she should have at least gone out for a walk. She knew better than to stay in one position for hours on end, yet she still did.
And all she had to show for her stiffness was a see of barren trunks. Lily was practiced in giving the impressions of trees, less so on making them look real. Something had compelled her to paint the scenery of the dreaming, realistically at that.
Lily was in a lul of her attention, busy wiping paint out of her brush. A soft knock was heard from behind her. She turned to find Morpheus standing in the open doorway, knuckles lowering from the open door. "You seem distracted," he commented.
Lily awkwardly laughed, brushing back stray strands of hair lingering around her face. "Yeah," she sighed, "I can get like that when I'm in the zone. Sorry if I didn't hear you say something."
Dream stepped across the threshold into the studio. "I have only just arrived," he assured her.
She spun around in her chair, her joints screaming at her. They had not appreciated the sudden quick movement. "I take it the whole Key to Hell situation is solved," she inquired.
"Indeed," Morpheus nodded. "Some of the guest are still here, but all should leave within a days time."
"Cool-io," Lily said with a thumbs up. "Can I ask what you decided to do?"
Lily felt, even through the helm, his gaze on her was different. "There is nothing you can't ask me," he said sincerely, "I had bit been the one to make the final decision. Had it been an option since the begining, I would not have hesitated as much as I did to make a decisions. The angels have taken the key, ruling Hell under the oder of their lord."
Lily hummed, "That sorta makes sense." She looked to the floor, slipping that knowledge in her recently growing folder in her brain housing the strange truths of the universes. She had no idea what she'd ever do with the folder, but it was there.
Lily returned her attention to Morpheus, who had settled in a chair I front of a drawing desk. He even sat in a simple wooden chair like it was a throne. "Is there something you came to me for?"
Morpheus hesitated to answer. "I just wanted to hear your voice," he confessed.
Sibyl was middly stubbed by his words. She couldn't help the smile appear on her face as her cheeks heated up. "Hopefully you weren't hoping for something too beautiful," she joked, "Rarely dose anything mildly intelligent leaves my mouth."
"You could say anything, and you would hold my undevided attention."His soothing voice did little to help Lily feel lest flustered by his words.
Sibyl smirked with a devious idea, "Then do you want to hear about some of my useless knowledge? I'd be happy to bring you up to date with the Fnaf lore."
----------------
Lily opened up the rather simple door. Not all the doors in the palace were the same. Many were, but it all depended on where they lead. She knew this room existed, but had never been to it herself; the kitchen. She was surprised to find it void of any people.
"So why did you want to come here?" Matthew asked, settling down in the counter. He had been the one to lead her here, still her chaperone when Morpheus was busy. But she didn't mind a friend.
Sibyl started searching through the cupboards, taking note of what each one held. "I want to make cookies," she simply commented, pulling our a large mixing bowl.
Matthew hopped along the edge of the counter to follow Lily. "Couldn't you just ask for some?" the bird wondered.
"I don't want to eat them," she explained, "I want to make them." She found the cupboard that stored the sugar and flour, checking to see what was what.
"Who for?" he teased.
Lily pinched flour between her fingers, nodding at figrueing out what white substance was what. "Morpheus," she answered nonchalantly, "Might get him to take off that stupid thing."
"Yoy know he dosent eat, right?" the raven wondered.
"Yes," the woman groaned, "But this is the best idea I have. I got used to him wearing it, but now it's annoying. Like well be having a perfectly normal conversation, and turned to look at him just to see bug eyes."
"He has his reason," Matthew said sarcastically.
Sibyl sighed, looking across the ingredients she has gather on the counter. "Which I respect, if he told me what they were," she complained, "He either needs to respect me enough to tell me that reason or trust me to show me his stupid face."
"So, you're going to force him to take it off?" The bird was confused.
Sibyl shook her head, "No, I am going to force him into a situation where he should choose one or the other."
Matthew flew over to land on her shoulder. "And if he dosen't?" he wondered.
"My times almost half up," she reminded him.
-----------------
"I do not need to eat," Dream simply reminded her.
"I know," Lily hesitantly mumbled, "I just wanted to do something for you. I know I can't do much, but this is something I can do." She slightly lifted up the plate of cookies in her hands.
Sibyl had been rather bashful since she came up to him in the throne room. It was rather cute, her hesitence and embarrassment. Dream was wondering how he could get her to react like this to something he'd do.
"I very much appreciate your thought," Dream assured her, "But you need not do such things."
She slightly nodded her head. "Well incase you change your mind," she sat the plate on one of the higher steps. "I'm gonna go help Lucienne in the library." She awkwardly made her way to the exit. Lily took one glance back before exiting the throne room.
Matthew flew down from his perch, landing on the stairs. "If you aren't going to eat them, can I have one?" the bird asked. Lilt hadn't let him have any, as it wasn't in a raven's natural diet and she didn't want to get him sick.
"If you feel you must," Morpheus answered, removing his helmet.
The raven started pecking at a cookie on the edge of the plate. "You know, she just wants to see your face," Matthew confessed.
"Explain your words," Dream demanded, settling back down in the stairs.
Matthew dramatically pecked out a chocolate chip from the cookie. "I mean, you want her to trust you, right?" he pointed out, "Sorta hard for her to do that when you clearly hiding something from her."
Dream reached over grabbing a cookie from the plate. There was much he needed to think about in regards to Lily. His relationshop with her was much different than all his others. She practically hated him in the begining, but she has come to like her. Dream has also come to enjoy many qualities Lily possess. Buy the relationship wasn't yet at a place he felt comfortable. He wanted her to stay for him, not a shallow desire for his looks. Only half the cycle was coming to pass, for all he knew Sibyl may still wish to return to her life come the next new moon.
--------------------
"So you're really a witch?" Matthew questioned. He knew her to read old tomes, as well as mentions in passing from Morpheus, but never actually confirmed it.
Sibyl tucked away her notes. She was comparing her note of her family grimoire to the notes of a very similar story in a lost one. "Yup," she answered nonchalantly, "Not like the new aged witches, they have the right idea just not the proper execution. I can do magic."
Mattgew settled himself in her shoulder. "Can you show me?" he asked timidly. "Like I've seen the boss do some magical stuff, but like you're human."
Lily softly smiled, adjusting herself in the grass. "I guess I could show you something," she shrugged, before holding out her hand.
Matthew watched in anticipation as Sibyl steadied her breath. He could also hear her heart beat even out, matching her breathing. In her outstretched hand lit a flame. There dancing in her palm was a mass of fire. She let it linger for a moment before closing her hand the smother the flames.
"Woh," the raven said in awe. "I thought you'd need like a cauldron or something. Maybe some eye of newt, frog tongue, blood of a virgin."
Sibyl laughed, "Some spells reguire stuff like that. Though those are all slang terms for different things. But fire is elemental magic. It's the most simple for of magic for us witches. All know how to weild all six, but tend to be intune to one more than the rest. For me that happens to be fire."
"Five?" he questioned, "Isn't it just earth, air, fire, and water."
"Those are indeed four of them, but the others people don't think about are life and mind," Sibyl explained, "Though those two only have a couple basic spells, most spells of those elements are higher levels."
She had weaved her hands into the grass and from between her fingers sprouted a small yellow and white flower. "This is the most one can do with life before requiring a higher price." Lily removed her hand from the grass.
Matthew hoped down to examine the plant, pushing leaves away in order to see that it had roots. The bird than looked up to the witch, excitement over taking him. "What else can you do?"
Sibyl wore a smirk, "What do you have in mind?"

a/n: anon I hope you enjoy because this gave me sever bi-panic🥵😌
Summary/Pairing: Y/n AKA Tiger and Natasha AKA Phoenix have serious history that leaves her TopGun squadron shocked.
Warnings: angst (as always), grammar errors (maybe),  mentions of death, risky behavior
WC: 2.3k
Phoenix wasn’t new to the egoistic and cocky behavior of her her fellow aviator male coworkers, she knew she was superior than their toxic masculinity.
But when it came to female aviators, like herself, insecurity was very much present in her.
Especially with Y/n better known as ‘Tiger’.
It all started back in the Navy strike fighter squadron, Naval Air Station AKA the Black Aces. Before Miramar, their was Lemoore, California- her personal hell.
It was the first time Tiger and Phoenix met, both graduated top of their class, amazing fighter jet pilots. Their superiors agreed, they were just born to fly. It all started friendly during their first week, by the second time they flew, tensions was felt around every time they hopped out their jets, followed by snarky comments that fueled their ‘friendly competition’. One night, back in the dorms, Phoenix had overheard her other female teammates snickering about Tiger and Phoenix.
“ They are such show offs!”
“ I know but if I where to put money on one of them, Tiger would beat her in milliseconds.”
“ No way, have you seen Phoenix-”
“ She plays it safe, that will get you no where in the real deal.” By this time Phoenix was enraged to say the least. She stormed over to the Y/N door, knocking on her door in a frenzy. Y/N open the door with a playful smirk crossing her arms.
“ Well, whata’ friendly surprise.” Natasha rolled her eyes and with a challenging stance she began her proposal.
“ Words around the Admirals are looking for a team leader.” She cocked her eyebrow, copying Tiger’s stance. Tiger mocked a laugh.
“ Oh really, well what do you want to do about it?”
“ Tomorrow 09:00 AM sharp. The admirals will be in a meeting near the office that has view of our flight.” Tiger frowned, thought for a second, being the team leader would probably be the best thing to rub into Phoenix’s face.
“ Deal.” Phoenix stuck her hand out to shake on it, narrowing her eyes on Tiger. She just stared at her outreached hand and scoffed before shutting the door in her face. Oh it’s on bitch, Phoenix thought.
The dorm’s soon heard about Phoenix’s and Tiger’s planned stunt, bet’s and chaos rang through the shower rooms. Tiger was nervous, not about winning, but of any sanctions she might receive for Phoenix stupid jealousy. Phoenix was full of adrenaline, she could fall off a roof right now and not feel a thing. The only thing was to stun her teammates and admiral’s enough to make her team leader, its all she wanted. She was not going to let stupid Tiger get in the way.
It didn’t take much to bribe their teammates to help set up their flight, most of them stood outside admiring as if  they were about to watch a UFC fight. Two of their fellow classmates volunteer to time them. As they walked out in their flight suits and helmet on, Phoenix and tiger looked at each other with so much hatred, they would both be dead if looks could kill.
Once in their jets, comms began initiating their statues.
“ Any last words Phoney?” Tiger mocked into her mic, Phoenix fumed.
“ Saving them for when I beat your ass.”
Tiger laughed, “ Oh Phoney, you always know how to make me laugh.”
It didn’t take long before they flew into the sky, reaching 1 through 7 G’s. The admirals paused their briefing as they saw and heard commotion outside their big window, after lifting the blinds, they felt their soul leave their body. They all ran out to find the other fellow aviators cheering and laughing.
“ Someone wants to tell me what is going on here?” Admiral Jones boomed, his face turning red in anger. Once the aviators settled down and saluted respectfully to their superiors.
“ Are those F-18’s in the sky right now?!” Admiral Canary asked looking up at the sky where Tiger and Phoenix raced into the clouds.
“ Guys, hearing from the ground, Admirals are aware.” Comms spoke nervously, everyone was at stake of sanctions just for Phoenix and Tigers’s stunt. This competition just got dangerous for everyone. Phoenix and Tiger ignored the warning, and continued the route they had planned.
“ Comms, remind me to collect my money after I win.” Tiger teased on the radio, based on the timer, Tiger was 5 seconds ahead of Phoenix, the rage within her fueled as she heard her voice over comms.
“ Keep talkin’ outta your ass- that’ll just give me more satisfaction once I win.” Tiger tsked over her mic.
“Now, Now Phoney, let’s keep it PG here.” Phoenix snapped while accelerating her speed enough to surpass Tiger, flying over her jet at a dangerous pace that shocked Tiger.
Back on the ground, their fellow teammates caved into the Admirals orders. Soon it was known who was up in the air. Both of their best female pilots had taken it way too far. In reality, they had noticed and received complaints from the other aviators for both their aggressive and competitive nature. They knew they were the strongest and best of the squadron, but risking government property and their lives over a position was not going to cut it.
Phoenix laughed as she heard comms state Phoenix was in the lead, they were 5 minutes away from landing and completing their agreed route.
Tiger smirked as she heard Phoenix laugh, she had something up her sleeve. There were no rules installed, besides not killing each other while in the air. On the ground, that’s a different story.
Tiger made sure to slow down before leveling down enough to fly under Phoenix. Phoenix was too caught up with her sudden urge of victory to realize Tiger was literally under her. Once Tiger had enough space and calculated her time enough she bite her lip, praying softly and blasted forward and abruptly up just in time before Phoenix’s jet got in the way. Phoenix turned a shade of white in fear but soon replaced with red in anger. She saw as Tiger began descending, she was far enough to win.
“ Comms, I’m ready to land.” Tiger spat, triumph oozing in her voice.
“ Preparing for landing. Phoenix?” comms asked.
“ Shut up.” Phoenix spat, she buzzed with anger and she knew exactly what she would do once she landed.
As Tiger landed 10 seconds before Phoenix landed as well. The teammates who were timing them, stopped the timer. The admiral snatched the timer out their hands and they all stomped over to the the now  parked jets. Phoenix punched and screamed into her canopy before the ladder and canopy lifted. Just as they both hopped off, Phoenix charged after her, ignoring the admirals who where awaiting them to give them an earful about their reckless behavior.
Tiger was tackled by Phoenix, “ You cheating, sneaking bitch!” Phoenix spat as she shoved her into the ground, Tiger angrily fought back shoving her on the ground as well, toppling over her pinning her down with a smug smirk.
“ Phoney, don’t be a sore loser.” Phoenix growled shoving her again, before the admiral pulled them apart.
“ Ladies! IN MY OFFICE NOW!”
Both Phoenix and Tiger stood in front of the desk of their superior. Trying so hard to avoid eyesight with anyone.
“ Not only did you put both you lives on line, but also your team. This is government property for god’s sake, do you know the damage we would have? Over a stupid rivalry.” Both girls turned red in embarrassment. “ A disgrace for the squadron, is this what we teach you guys? We are suppose to be a team!” Admiral Canary walked in and dropped off two sets of folders on his desk. He sighed and sat down, it was Phoenix and Tiger’s files. Fear soon took over both  their eyes and  for the first time they looked at each other.
“ You ladies leave me no choice.”
Those were the last words they both heard before sent to their dorms. Both of them were sanctioned with disciplinary actions. Neither of them got the one thing the wanted, quite the opposite actually.
Phoenix was put on cleaning duty for 2 months, and temporarily banned from flying for a month. Tiger on the other hand, since she already had a sanction for sneaking into the men’s dorms during her first week of the Black ace’s, The girl has need, Admiral Canary filed an order to move Tiger to a different squadron. Tiger was in tears, angry tears, as she packed her stuff she vowed to become the best aviator in the world just to avenge stupid Phoenix.
As the gray bus pulled up at the steps of the dorm, Y/N said goodbye to her dorm mates. Natasha stood arms crossed with a stone cold face. She was glad Tiger was leaving, she still had hope in herself to get back on her superiors good side. It didn’t help that now her squadron were pissed at her. As Y/N stared at Natasha, they both narrowed their eyes at each other, anger and annoyance in their glare.
She walked over, with one last smirk she snickered, “ We will see each other again.” Phoenix frowned and before she could say anything she had walked away and in the bus.
Phoenix had nightmares of that day, reliving her loss to Tiger. She prayed she would never see her again. She just couldn’t bare the jealousy and stress Tiger gave her.
3 years had passed, enough for things to calm down in both Phoenix and Tiger’s life.
Tiger was called back to TopGun for a special assignment, she also had a couple of her long time aviator friends get called back with her. It was exciting especially being back in Miramar. As they made their way to their squadron dorms she settled in quite well to the humid weather.
That night, they all decided to celebrate their arrival back by going to the HardDeck Bar on base by the beach. Tiger and her fellow aviator friends wore their freshly pressed kaki uniform, making sure to walk with stride in to the crowded bar full of aviators as well. It didn’t take long for some of the scattered aviators to migrate to Tiger. She beat some major record over her las 3 years, a reason that she took pride in. Her smirk and laugh rang through the bar. It caught a specific group, by the pool table Phoenix and Bob sat by the pool table, dealing with Hangman’s annoying and cocky behavior. Payback and Coyote drinking a beer as well. Rooster was bickering with Hangman as well standing across from the tables, who was playing against Fanboy.
Soon the conversations stopped as Hangman caught sight of  Y/N and the amount of attention she received he lifted himself and gave a small smile that made everyone followed his gaze. Phoenix frowned and turned around and practically spit her beer out.
Y/N was standing around all the kaki dressed aviators in the front of the  HardDeck, all of them basically kissing her ass. She turned around closing her eyes and praying this is just another one of her nightmare. Rooster glanced from Y/n to Natasha who looked completely different from her typical demeanor - almost like she’d seen a ghost.
Tiger soon locked eyes with the familiar back stature of a female with the typical black military bun. She made sure to walk over with a smirk big enough to kill Phoenix. Tiger crossed her arms as she took the steps up to the other gawking aviators and the only that was avoiding her presence.
“ Phoney, is that you?” Phoenix grimaced at the sound of her dramatic voice, yep this is really happening, she opened her eyes and saw that stupid smile. Phoenix looked small and inferior compared to her, especially for the first time to her new squadron. Hangman soon frowned and looked towards both of you. Bob as well, nudging Phoenix to stand up. The tension between them had everyone on edge.
“ Phoney? Haven’t heard that one.” Hangman chuckled, Phoenix shot a death glare to him before standing up and crossing her arms facing her, stone cold.
“ Well, look what the cat dragged in.” Phoenix gritted  between her teeth, Tiger laughed softly and tilted her head.
“ Last time I checked, I dragged you in the sky, remember?” Tiger mocked Phoenix tone back at her. This only made the situation even more tense.
Hangman was enjoying this, Coyote nervously watched, Bob fidgeted with his beer bottle watching and waiting for Phoenix to speak up about this ‘situation’. Rooster did not like the way Natasha was being treated and went to by her side.
“ Is there a problem here?” Y/N held her mouth from laughing out loud, Hangman and  Fanboy also held in their laugh.
“ Oh Phoney, I didn’t know you had knight in shining hawaiian shirt.” She dramatically gasped and ‘aw’-ed at Rooster’s gesture. “ Dude, news flash, the 80′s what they’re pedo-stash back.” That was enough for Rooster to look down at his shirt wondering whats wrong with it as well as touching his mustache and looking at his teammates in confusion. Phoenix closed her eyes trying to contain herself as everyone around her tried containing their laughs at Tiger’s comebacks.
Y/n sighed before glancing at Phoenix’s squadron and back to her. A look that had everyone feel insecure, “ But the question here is, will he save you up in the air?” She smirked teasingly as she point at the the sky. Rooster gave up and walked towards his drink, and sat next to bob, slightly hurt.  Tiger mockingly waved goodbye and turning back to the rest of the bar where her friends all took her to the bar.
Rooster stood back up, hurriedly towards Phoenix ,who’s jaw looked tight enough it could break, her eyes fixated where Y/N stood once. “ What the hell was that?” Phoenix rolled her eyes, she did not want to talk about this, especially with the squadron she just met. Hangman let out an exaggerated sigh, “Phoenix, didn’t know you had enemies.” Payback made his way over by Rooster curiosity hitting everyone.
“ Phoenix, c’mon, who is that?” Phoenix reached for her beer and chugged it before muttering in annoyance.
“Tiger.” It practically gave everyone chills as they glanced at Tiger who was drinking around her friends, making sure to catch their glances and winking at them.
Phoenix and Tiger were back at it again, this time she doesn’t know if things will get any better or worse. All she knew was that Y/N did not see this as mission to complete, but as revenge. She could sense it.

Northern Star
A Star Crossed story.
Cassia grew up knowing that one day, the world would be set on her shoulders.
Being Crown Princess, such weight was more than expected. She grew up surrounded by castle walls and dressed in the finest fabrics; responsibility was a small price to pay to have everything.
Her mother made it look so easy. Queen Theodora, second of her name, always carried herself with the grace and elegance expected from the title bearer. No matter how heavy the burden, how high the mountain, how wide the river, her mom would shoulder it, climb it, cross it with her chin held high. She was everything Cassia wanted to be.
“The secret,” she’d told her once, “is to act invincible, even when you are not.”
Cassia seemed concerned. “And you’re not?”
Her mom smiled, and rested a gloved hand on her shoulder, warm through the fabric despite the cold. “I’m not, darling. But I have to try, for our kingdom, for our family. For you,” she added, gaining a shy smile from her daughter. “Such is the weight of the crown.”
As the years flew by, Cassia grew more aware of what she meant. There was a hallway in the castle, so long she wasn’t sure it ever ended, of every king, queen and monarch before her. Some were accompanied by a spouse, some had multiple, some were portrayed alone. All had children, apprentices, or descendants of another kind. Most shared with her a dark complexion and their family’s symbol, the Northern Star, but all of them had what she’d never seen in the mirror: a rigid posture, a confident tilt of the chin and a determined look that could slay monsters.
Below their names were their individual titles. Her namesake, Cassius, the Waterbringer. Gran-Gran, Theodora I, the Silver Bell. Her mother, the current and third ruler after the Curse was cast: Theodora II, the Just.
Cassia wondered what they’d write under her name. The Great, she joked in a letter, and Isidore soon wrote back. Too pretentious. The Cake Eater, maybe! She considered it briefly before discarding. She knew she wasn’t even queen yet, but she was nothing if not eager. The question persisted, until it carried over to a family dinner.
“The Greatest, Smartest, Beautifulest Daughter in the World,” offered her father with a smile on his face. Cassia wasn’t entirely sure he was joking.
“Beautifulest is not a word,” she pointed out.
“It can be, if you want it to.”
“Don’t encourage that mindset, Daniel,” her mother said, amused.
“She’s going to be queen one day, Thea. Adding beautifulest to the dictionary will be well within her powers!”
“You’re impossible.” Her mom rolled her eyes, but there was a grin growing on her face. Cassia had always admired her parents’ relationship. Queen Theodora would never smile like a schoolgirl at some silly remark, but her dad had a way of getting through to Thea.
“Think about it! Cassandra, the Grammar Rules Breaker!”
Her mom was full-on laughing now. Cassia laughed too, but the question was still on her mind.
She kept on thinking well past her bedtime. It was pitch-black outside, not a single star in sight. Even the twin moons were faltering, as if there wasn’t enough sunlight to reflect. Her family’s Northern Star brooch caught her eye, glistening in her nightstand like it didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to shine.
The Curse, the history books told her, changed the world as humanity knew it forever. Overnight, humans were turned into mindless monsters and the night sky was darkened by their dark souls. Now, Cassia would never see the same stars her namesake once had.
And so, looking out her window on a cold winter night, — not that they ever had any different, — Cassia decided the title she wanted to bear:
     Cassandra, the Cursebreaker.

Ch 10 - Playing With The Boys - Top Gun Mav and Rose (OC) story.
Tumblr media
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N WC - 2948 I hope this part is okay, It took me sometime to get to a point where I liked it LoL Sorry for any Spelling or Grammar mistakes Please leave feedback good or Bad I do not mind. Playing with the boys part list and summary --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I woke up to the warm feeling of the sun's heat coming in through the open bedroom window that the bed is next to, along with the soft cooling breeze. I lay with my eyes closed for a moment as I stretch my body out, feeling some aches and pains but the ones that remind you of how good of a night you had.
I Rolled over. I expected to find Mav there, but the bed was empty and cold, telling me he had been gone for some time. But on his pillow, I found an origami Jet of the same style as the one he made to play with Bradley, but much smaller.
I picked it up, smiling as I rolled onto my back, flying the jet in the air coincidentally at the same time a Jet flew over the house. The joy of living on a Navy air base, I played with it a little more in doing so I could see some writing on it, I felt terrible undoing his hard work, but once carefully unfolding it, I found a note inside,
Out getting the Bike some fuel, I didn't want to wake you. You looked too beautiful.
And Sexy
The smile on my face grew, reading his words. I don't regret jumping into bed with Mav right after getting together. It just felt like the right thing to do, as well as feeling amazing, I've heard stories from girls that Mav has been with, and I always thought they were just exaggerating things, but no, he is everything they said he is in bed and more.
Turning my head to the side to look at the clock that sat next to the bed seeing that it was almost 10 am, I pulled myself out of bed, wrapping the covers around my naked body, not wanting to walk around naked,
I expected that I would have to pick up my uniform that I had left on the floor yesterday, but Mav had already beaten me to it, folding it up neatly and placing it on top of his dresser, which also had a brown paper bag sitting on it with my Name stuck to it with a sticky note,
Pecking in the bag, I saw folded clothes with a note on top from Carole saying Mav has asked her to put some clothes together for me, with a winky face at the end, placing the message down using one hand, the other still holding the cover to my body,
I pulled out what I thought was a top but turned out to be a sky blue short summer dress with white flowers on the bottom of the skirt. I don't remember owning a dress like this. We have swapped clothes now and then, what sister don't. It's got to be one of her.
I can't remember the last time I put a dress on, but since Carole did take the time to pick it out for me, I should put it on, but to be on the safe side, I'm putting some undershorts on, don't want the wind to lift my skirt and end up doing a Marilyn Monroe. I'm sure Mav won't mind me borrowing some of his.
I was not long dressed and munching on some toast at the kitchen table as I tried to work out how to put the origami Jet back together. It's not as easy as Mav made it out to be. I then heard the familiar sound of Mav's bike pulling up before shutting off. I don't know why I felt nervous. He had seen me in a dress before, yet I thought I needed his approval or opinion on it.
Mav walked in just as I was getting up to put my plait in the sink, stopping dead in his tracks, looking at me like a deer in headlights, before closing the fount door, never taking his eyes off me. I swear this man only owns a small set of clothes, with his blue jeans, cowboy boots, White t-shite, and black button-up shirt, but dame does he always look sexy in them.
"What?"
"Have I told you how beautiful you are today?"
He asked, walking up to me, sliding his hands around my waist, pulling me closer to him, as I loop my arms around his neck, getting on my tip toes to give his lips a small kiss,
"Yes, and No, you wrote it on a piece of paper, which I open very carefully but can't for the life of me put back together."
I tell him, making him chuckle, still holding onto me Mav moves so he is sitting down at the table with me on his lap, a hand still around my waist as he picks up his note with the other.
"Why would you wanna put it back together?"
He inquired,
"Because the little jet is cute, I also think I played around with it for a good five minutes before I saw there was a note inside it."
I informed him, laughing at the end at how silly I was, placing the note back down on the table, putting his hand back on my waist as he looked at me,
"How about I make you a new one later when we get home from spending the day with Goose and the family,"
I gave Mav a sweet smile kissing his cheek,
"Yes, please, it's going to be the only Jet I'll be flying for some time."
I said, making a small joke about how I am now grounded, but I don't think Mav liked my joke. Going by how his smile fell from his face,
"You're going to fly again. They will find out that BullDog is a dick, and he did what he did not because he was worried but because he's just a prick."
Mav told me in a stern voice before giving my ass a slight tap,
"Now up you get. Goose wanted us there at around 11."
I got off his lap, letting him get up as I made my way to get my stuff before heading out,
"Oh, I just want to let you know I borrowed a pair of your undershorts. I don't trust the wind. Blowing my skirt up, I don't wanna flash anyone."
I tell him as we are about to walk out the door, Mav taking in a deep breath, and in a flash, I was pinned to the wall by the door,
"Baby, top tip, don't tell a man like me you have a pace of my clothing on just before we are about to walk out the door."
He had a fire look in his eyes, the same one he had last night when he got me into bed. I looked up at him, my eyes darting from his eyes to his lips and back again as I subconsciously licked my bottom lip.
"Why is that?"
My voice was small as I asked him, pushing himself closer to me. I could feel his hard chest on mine as he placed his lips right next to my ear.
"Because it drives a man crazy when his girl has his clothes on, But they won't look as good on you as that sexy set you had on last night."
As he Spock me places soft kisses along my neck now and then, biting down but not hard enough to mark my sick but enough to send a shiver down my spine, and a soft moan out my mouth,
"They are not Navy certified."
It was hard to take when he was this close, his lips on my skin and the small of his cologne drawing my senses.
"Yet you had them on under that sexy white uniform of yours."
As much as I wanted this to keep going and end up in the bedroom, I knew Goose was waiting for us. Placing my hands on Mav's chest, I gently pushed him back, not all the way but enough to get more space between our bodies,
"As much as I want to keep talking about how much you love my lingerie, Goose is waiting, and if we keep him any longer, he will come barging in here."
I tell Mav how still looking at me with hunger in his eyes that slowly softens to a sweet look, nodding his head in agreement,
"Yeah, the last thing Goose wants to see is me having my way with his baby sister in the hallway,"
Finally, getting out of the house and walking over the garden to Goose's house, knock on the door as they like to keep it locked. In case Bradley tried to get out, He did it once when the Ice cream van went down the street. He could not wait for Goose to get ready, so he went himself, giving everyone a heart attack. I've never seen Goose run so fast.
We were not waiting long before the door swung open to show Carole dressed in a long strapless red summer dress,
"Ohhh, Look at you, you look so cute. Come here"
She commented on my look as he pulled me into a hug. I smiled, thanking her, pulling away as Bradley ran up to us, shouting my name with his toy jet in hand. I bent down, scoping him up, spinning him around, kissing his cheek as Carole welcomed Mav.
"Are you ready for your day out? I heard Daddy got a lot planned," I asked him as I bounced him on my hope taking the Jet from his hand, flying it around his head, making him laugh at my very about sounds,
"Yeah, we are going to the Fair."
He sounds so excited, with a big smile on his cute little face, at least someone happy about the fair. I am not a fan of them, not after being stuck on a ride for what felt like forever upside down, and then there was another time I was chased by a clown who thought it was funny, but I was terrified. Clowns are scary,
"The Fair, I bet auntie Rose is super happy about that."
I rolled my eyes at Mav's comment as he knew how I feel about Fair's. He took Bradley from my arms, making Bradley giggle as he held him as if he was superman, but Bradley put his arms out like a plane, and off the two went down the hall, making better plane sounds than I did.
Leaving Carole and me laughing at them as they go, I'll never get over how amazing Mav is with him. I must have been staring as Carole nudged my side,
"You catch fly if you keep your mouth open any longer."
She joked. She was about to follow after them, but I put my arm out to stop her. I need to tell her because I don't think Mav is going to be keeping his hands to himself for much longer, and I don't know how long Goose can hold out before telling his wife everything,
"I need to tell you something, and you have to promise me you won't cry."
A waste of time asking her because I know she will do it. Why is it so nervous to tell your sister that you are finally with a man you've been crushing over for years,
"Mav and I are together."
I blurted out. She looked at me in shock before seeing her eyes begin to water. She then let out a happy squeal as she hugged me again.
Her sound has gotten the attention of Goose coming from around the corner.
"What is going on?"
He asked, but I think he already knows, going by the smirk on his face,
"Our sweet babies are together finally."
She told Goose in between hiccups, I knew she was going to cry, but I did not think it would be this much. Goose softly laughed as he walked over to Carole, wrapping her in a big hug,
"Oh, sweetheart, why are you crying?"
"Because I am so happy."
Goose swayed her side to side as she cried into his chest. He nodded his head to the living room as if telling me to go as he claimed his wife down. I patted his shoulder before hurrying off. Walking into the room, Mav was lying on the floor with Bradley playing with his toys. He had taken his jacket off.
"Let me guess she crying?"
I nodded as I sat on a chair next to him. As he sat up between my legs, I automatically put my arms around his neck, letting my hands rest parm down on his chest. As one of his hands came up to rest over mine, he was not sitting up fully. His head rested back on my belly,
Bradley came over with an arm full of Farm animals, setting himself down on Mav's outstretched legs just about his knees, letting the animals fall onto lav lap before picking on a cow and mowing, before picking up a chicken making a chicken sound,
Mav joins in picking up a Horse and asking Bradley what sound it makes. Bradley happily makes the sound. Mav then picked up a Goose laughing to himself before asking Bradley to make the sound.
"No, Bradley, It's more like Mav no, Mav, Mav, Mav my family coming to see me, Mav. We can't do that."
Mav said, putting on his best impression of Goose, making me laugh, hitting his chest lightly.
"Don't you know how easy it is for him to pick stuff up,"
I scolded him as he chuckled, turning his head and kissing my knee, which I had not noticed was not covered by the skirt of my dress,
"So I best not say how good you look in this dress or how your ass looks whe....."
Before he could finish what he was saying, I used a hand to cover his mouth, making Mav tilt his head back to look up at me, pulling my hand away from his mouth as I shook my head at him as he gives me a mischievous smile.
I felt myself getting lost in his eyes, moving my face close to his but jumping away when I heard Carole's voice.
"Oo, They look so cute."
"Can you not do that in front of Bradley, please"
Goose comments, making me and Mav look to Bradley, who was just happily playing with his animals on Mavs lap, just ignoring us, but when hearing his Father's voice, he jumps up, a Goose in his head.
"Daddy, I got a Goose."
He tells Goose, following him into the Kitchen. When we heard Goose ask him what sound it made, to hear Bradley repeat what Mav had made a joke about not a moment before, to say Goose's face when waking back in the room with a picnic bag in had was a pitcher was an understatement
"Really"
No one could answer Goose from laughing so much. Even Bradley joined in on the laugh, even if he did not know what we were all laughing at. Once calming down, I wiped a tear from my eye, looking to Goose,
"SO the fair?"
I asked, tapping Mav on the shoulder, silently asking him to move so I could get up. Goose looked at me with a knowing look,
"You don't need to go on any of the rides, and if I see a Clown, I'll let you know so you can hide. I just thought it would be fun. It not in town for long."
"You could always get Mav to play them a game where you can win a big Teddy bear by throwing them annoying balls."
Carole jumped in when Goose was talking. I looked over to Mav, who flexed his arm muscles. It would be funny to watch Mav try and win one of them games, but where on earth would I keep a teddy bear the size of a six-year-old child,
"Right that everything packs, let go, little man."
Goose Spock picking up Bradley, leading us all out the house, watching him put Bradley in the car and Carole getting into the passenger set, I came to the realization I'll be on Mav's Bike in a skirt, as if knowing what my brain was thinking Mav came up behind me leading me over to his bike, waving the other off,
"You be fine, just sit Exeter close to me."
He said into my ear, swinging his leg over the bike and holding a hand as always. As I got on, I used my other hand to hold the front of my skirt down, doing as Mav said, and moved a little closer to him, pushing my dress down between us,
Once I put my feed on the pegs, Mav, still holding my hand, bring it to his mouth, giving my knickers a small kiss before letting go of my hand. He then ran his hands over my knees, tucking some of my skirt under my legs,
Before he starts his Bike up, he turns to look over his shoulder at me,
"If at any point you get cold, tell me. You can have my Jacket."
Say thank you for his sweet gesture as he looks front again,
"Can go with them sorts of mine you have on."
I could not think of anything to say back to that because they would go together, and I believe Mav would find it even more, better if it were JUST his jacket and sorts and nothing else,

Suspects in deadly Orange Mound mass shooting face federal prosecution
Tumblr media
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Interim Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said she’s seeking federal prosecution for those responsible for Saturday’s mass shooting in Orange Mound. At a city council meeting on Tuesday, Chief Davis said community members have submitted plenty of video of the tragedy that claimed two lives and left seven others injured. Thanks to that cooperation, she said there is enough evidence to pursue federal charges.“We raised the award money for CrimeStoppers and we really started to receive a lot of intel,” said Davis.Davis did not go into detail about what was seen in the video evidence but said some of the content is disturbing.Meanwhile, Orange Mound residents are reeling again Tuesday from yet another shooting. Monday night, Memphis police were called back to Orange Mound for a shooting on Buntyn Street just two days after the deadly mass shooting at Orange Mound Park. One Orange Mound mother says a stray bullet from that shooting flew through their kitchen window. It’s the second reported shooting in the neighborhood in less than a week and this mother said she’s tired of it.She added that she’s now holding her young son a little closer.

Jonika Wilkins, Orange Mound resident(Action News 5)”Personally myself, I feel like taking it back to the old days. Send them to the military, they want to shoot all these big guns, send them to the military,” said Jonika Wilkins. Bullet holes were found stretched to the next block, piercing another resident’s car and her home.Memphis police said one victim was found after Monday night’s shooting and taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.“As a senior citizen, it is heart-wrenching to feel to see that our youth are killing one another,” said Dr. Pamela Mccoy, another Orange Mound resident. A man who was caught in the crossfire and wanted to remain anonymous told Action News 5 that the younger generation is invoking fear, and that not even a trip to the nearby grocery store is safe. “They get out the car with big choppas and nines, extendo clips, guns that are bigger than them. How can I protect myself? We go in the store, if he feel like he want to do something he can let off rounds right there and then,” he said.MPD has called in some big names to not only help with the Orange Mound shooting investigation but to tackle youth crime as a whole.“We are utilizing all intel information that we can gather, not just from the Memphis Police Department, but from our federal partners too. The FBI we have called in the ATF to help support in this effort,” said Davis. She also said the crime that youth are involved in at Memphis City Parks are unacceptable.“Our recreation centers are full of children, and not just with Orange Mound Park but we had incidents at Douglass Park and Hollywood Community Center,” said Davis.

Heavenly Boss S1 E1: Savior Family
Tumblr media
Part One: Mrs. Mayberry
Once upon a time, there was an innocent lovely blonde teacher named Mrs. Mayberry.
She taught at a red schoolhouse with a little golden bell at the top of it. “Learning is fun,” was written in bright yellow letters on the side of the building with art of colorful kites and a rainbow on it. A sign at the front read “Puppies Junior School” in sunlight. There were tall green trees and a playground off to the side. The golden bell rang for the start of the day. A blue jay and a cardinal sang from a tree branch as the teacher opened the white curtains.
The Vivziepop lookalike woman wrote “Good morning!” in white chalk on the green blackboard.
“Good morning!” She twirled in a dance, catching her piece of chalk. She wore a white shirt with colorful red cherries and a long blue-gray skirt. A green pendant rested on her shirt. She wore cherry earrings and round yellow glasses. Her blonde hair was tied back in a flower-like shape behind her. “Have a bright and sunny day” was written on a poster with a large smiling sun with big eyes on it. Nearby was a calendar and an old boxy computer on a desk. A white daisy was in a flowerpot. “The word of the day is harmony,” was written on a schedule posted on a board behind the children sitting at desks. The orange curtains by the windows had white math symbols on them. The schedule read “math, history, reading, grammar, science, art and music” as the many school subjects for the days of the week.
“I hope you all did your homework!” she trilled.
The children nodded with a dance to their bodies. One boy wearing an orange shirt spun around in a stool wearing a dunce cap and he faced the wall. The class broke out randomly into song.
“We love to do our homework and we love our teacher too!”
The teacher sang, “And when I throw out these fun questions, you should know just what to do.”
“Okay!” they cheered, arms in the air.
She wrote on the board 2 + 6 = 8 and added,
“Two plus six is…”
“Eight!” the class answered.
“And good behavior’s…”
“Great!” they chimed in.
“And now it’s that part of the class when we say the time of day and date.”
“It’s nine in the morning,” sang a blonde boy…
“On January 8th…” added a black girl.
“The sun is out smiling,” said a brown-haired girl with a bow.
“And it’s your husband’s birthday!” reminded the dunce boy with his tongue out.
As the class sang “la la la,” the teacher found herself scrapping her chalk down in a line on the board. Sweat coated her forehead as the chalk was almost completely broken down. The singing was a constant drone in her head. Her right eye twitched and she turned around.
“Oh my stars, stop singing children! Hush up now!”
The class fell silent.
She put a hand to her forehead. “I forgot it’s my husband’s birthday! I didn’t get him anything special.”
The brown-haired girl stood up and said, “Maybe if we call him, we could do a happy birthday surprise!”
The teacher and kids gathered around the boxy computer. At the husband’s house, a lone sock fell on the call screen that read “wifey” on it.
The screen turned on, and everyone gasped in disbelief.
The teacher’s husband was in the process of having sex with another lady!
A tie, a bra and a condom flew against the screen as they straddled naked in their bed.
“We won’t be needing this,” a voice said as the condom hit the screen with Mrs. Mayberry’s face on the other side.
The teacher sat at her desk, looking stunned, her face turning red. The other woman was so young and beautiful. There was her husband, clad naked and showing off his muscles and parts to her.
“Oh yeah,” the husband giggled, “Not there, not there.” They seemed to be also playing with sex toys.
With a blank shadowed look on her face, the teacher suddenly stood up and walked away. If she wasn’t going to be able to divorce that cheating bastard…
“Wait! Mrs. Mayberry!” called the brown-haired girl. She took hold of the teacher’s hand. “Remember what you taught us…think before you act.”
There was a long pause, the class nervous about what she would do next.
Instead of doing an action she would soon regret, Mrs. Mayberry took a deep breath and pat the girl on the head.
“You’re right,” she said. “It’s time to settle this, reasonably.”
She got into her green car with “I love school” on the license plate and headed home on the road. The kids looked out the window and then at the computer.
“Oh sweetie,” said James to Mrs. Mayberry as she came home. “What are you doing here?”
“Shut up! I could ask her the same thing,” Mrs. Mayberry retorted with a glare at the blonde lady underneath him.
“Well, I met her at a gun show and decided to take her home for some fun…”
“No.”
“What? It’s just for a day.”
Mrs. Mayberry crossed her arms. “We were going to have a family. And you then decide to hook up with her behind my back? What were you thinking?!”
“Well…she is pretty hot…”
Mrs. Mayberry’s face turned red, and she growled. Her fists clenched and her eyes narrowed to a nearby gun hanging ominously on the wall…
Mrs. Mayberry closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
“You’re…you’re not gonna kill us, are you?” her husband asked with fear in his words.
“No,” Mrs. Mayberry declared. “But I will file for divorce. Now if you two love each other so much…get the dying buck out of my house!”
The couple obliged, leaving the school teacher sitting on her bed, head buried in her hands.
The children watched her sadly on the other side of the screen.
“Oh? I’m so sorry, children,” she said as she saw them. “Don’t forget to work on your timestamps. I’ll be back soon.”
The children nodded and went back to their desks.

Mrs. Mayberry narrated as she paced the E.L.F. office floor:
“I was a good person before it all went down. I was decent my entire life. You try your best at everything, learn from all your trials…and by some stroke of luck, you end up in Heaven with all the Martin Luther Kings and Teresas of the world. After almost being sent to Hell for one bad mistake. So I am here now…to make further amends.”
Mrs. Mayberry stepped into the light from the window. She was now an angel, with white hair in a similar flowery shape she had in life. White wings were folded behind her, and a white halo hovered above her head. She wore her usual square thin glasses, and her light purple dress was decorated with cherries. In the center were her pendant used to be on her chest was a small golden eye. Her feline-like eyes were a brilliant emerald green that sometimes appeared golden in the sunlight. Additionally, she had a small furry cat tail and white cat ears with cherry earrings on them. In Heaven, she was a popular preschool teacher and flying instructor to the little angel children.
The head elf of E.L.F., Docile, listened intently from his office chair.
“Interesting. So your husband Jarold had sex with Martha…”
“James and Mary,” Mrs. Mayberry corrected.
“Sorry,” Docile said. “Both of them survived. How are they now?”
Mrs. Mayberry sighed. “My husband eventually got tired of Mary and started nasty rumors about her being a whore. Mary felt bad about what she did and offered to make it up for me. But by then, I had decided to adopt a few kids to call my own. I worked at school and made sure my kids got a great education, of course. Their names are June and Cherry, by the way.”
“Lovely names!” Docile beamed.
“Thank you. But…last time I checked before my death, James had died. I died of Covid several years after my kids became teens.”
“Sorry to hear. But why come to us?” Docile asked, standing up. “E.L.F. aims to save those who are still alive, and from the looks of things, the people you knew in your life appear to either be in Heaven or Hell.”
“Not all of them,” Mayberry explained. “Mary is still alive. Now they all call her a villain.”

“How does it feel to be such a crazy bitch?” one woman reporter mocked the blonde Mary.
“I just hope my friend Mayberry has it better than you,” she spat.
“You are a coward. I’ll steal your money!”
“No thank you!” Mary glared as she and her husband Ralph shoved the reporters aside.
Mayberry explained, “Between the insults and remarks, my poor friend got into so much debt and depression. Being spared was the worst thing to happen to her!”
“You’re a villain!” mocked a reporter.
“You’re a villain, girl!” said an angry jogger, bumping into her on purpose.
“Ooooh, a big bad villain you are!” smirked her husband when they were in bed, the only time she liked being called that.
“My mama’s a villain to villains!” her son declared, wearing a baseball cap.
“She is a villain!” remarked the smiling brown-haired cashier lady, Brook, with an otherworldly look in her eyes.
“You’re a villain!” cried a pagan hippie, scooting away from Mary against doors with pentagrams on it.
“You’re a villain?!” exclaimed the children as they stared in confusion as Mary taught a “How to Deal With Heartbreak 101” class.
Mary cried as she came down with a deathly illness as her family watched. “Maybe I am a villain whore,” she thought, silently praying to God. “I’ve made mistakes…I just want to do better in this world. Please, help me…”
“She’s not a villain!” yelled Mrs. Mayberry in frustration, getting into Docile’s face.
“Oh yes, yes, my thoughts exactly,” Docile said with a nervous look. He repeatedly pushed a button under his desk.
The red light lit up over a label that read “Distressed Client.” The other labels read “More Tea,” “Client Giving Birth,” “Fell Asleep,” “Entranced Client,” “Ghost,” and “Samael.”
In another room, a black-haired elf Tirred was busy giving CPR to a family of mannequins lying down on the floor. Tirred hesitated when he came up to the woman mannequin wearing a Satanic necklace.
“Tirred, stop shaking,” his girlfriend Timmid said. “You’re gonna accidentally press against our only Heaven Cat!”
Sunna the cat lay down nearby, wearing her usual white sun dress and goofy grin.
“Please be gentle,” she said, staring at the ceiling. Tirred scoffed at Sunna and yawned in her face.
“Just take a deep breath,” Timmid said, talking more to herself as she inhaled, “…and let it out.”
“But…it’s a family,” Tirred grumbled. “Under what circumstances would we ever need to bless a human family for no reason?”
“I mean, if that’s what the client wants,” Timmid began, as Tirred stood up.
“Maybe like a heroic mom, or a family of veterans and charity workers.” He spoke through his teeth. “That’s understandable.” Then he talked normally. “But to grant miracles to an entire immoral…seemingly immoral, lower working-class family bloodline?”
“Hey!” Sunna pipped up, standing up. “You don’t know they’re immoral.” She pointed down to the boy mannequin. “This kid probably saves dogs from fire.” She pointed to the girl. “Maybe this girl feels a purpose to stand up for kids in other countries.” She pointed to the father. “And this guy…”
Sunna closed her eyes. “The guy definitely worships.”
“Exactly,” Timmid said. “Humanity can be full of goodness, it’s why a select few are able to come up here. But innocent and guilty aren’t our business, Tir.” She cupped her boyfriend’s cheeks. “Saving who we’re paid to is our business. Choose a victim.”
She kissed Tirred and he knelt down again.
“I just think it’s a bit excessive and we could be a bit more selective, is all,” Tirred said.
Just then, Docile entered the room, followed by angel Mrs. Mayberry.
“Guys! I want you to meet…”
Tirred accidentally slammed his mannequin hard with both fists and it shot up into the air, hitting the ceiling. It bounced onto the other mannequins, frightened Sunna, slammed against an altar, and the head rolled toward Mrs. Mayberry before Docile stopped it with one foot.
“…our newest client!”
The flaming bowl on the altar crashed to the floor as fire spread through the room. The water sprinklers overhead came on, flooding the room.
“Darn it, Tirred, I just cleansed that altar!” Docile yelled.
Eventually, they dried up the room and waited outside. Other elves came in to help, replacing water-worn furniture and carpets. Mrs. Mayberry got into a yellow taxicab that took off into the air on white wings.
“Bye!” called Docile, “and don’t worry, we’ll save your friend in less than 24 hours or your first blessing is free!” He waved as Mrs. Mayberry left.
“When did we start implementing that deal?” Tirred asked, frowning.
“When you set a flood to my office in front of a client, you glooming lunatic!” Docile yelled in anger, “Now someone please tell me that fancy book is still intact!”
“You mean our only ticket to the living world?” Sunna asked, pulling out a black leather-bound Bible from behind her. “Yeah, got it.”
“And that’s why you’re my favorite, Sunny!” Docile said, baby-talking her. “You get some milk now.”
He pulled out a glass of milk and held it in front of her. He then tilted back his head and poured the milk into his mouth in a smooth arc.
“Stop it,” Sunna said, annoyed that he had stolen her milk and teased her. Then she got an idea and gasped. “It’s spoiled!”
Docile’s eyes went wide, and he coughed up splatters of milk onto the ground.
“Ergh, so gross,” Docile grumbled as he wiped off milk stains from his outfit and coughed again.
“You sound like you’re coughing up a hairball! So gross,” Sunna smirked.
“Oh stop that, I get enough of that from my therapist.”
Sunna giggled as she left.
Timmid held a Bible in her hands and quietly chanted a psalm, while drawing a symbol with chalk. A glowing blue Christian Cross surrounded by a circle appeared on a wall, opening up a portal to the living world.
Nearby, an advertisement read in misspellings: “Knead someone to save in da living worlds?! Com to ELF?! Be sure to position dis sign up rite. Payment arrives via mail snail in one weak, so bee patient. -- Speech to text, Docile.”
Docile turned to his employees. “Now let’s go bless the mess!”
“The expression is, ‘bless the best,’ Docile,” Timmid said with a smile, as she walked through the portal.
“Mine’s better,” Docile mentioned, following her.
“Oh, flames under copper kettles,” Tirred swore with a sigh as he followed the two through the portal.
Part Two: The Elves’ Adventure
The three elves stood in front of a shabby house by a lake and forest. Tirred and Docile leaned against the side of the house, coming up from the bushes.
Docile looked through the window. “That’s gotta be her,” he whispered. “Tirred, you want this one?”
“Me?” he asked, surprised.
“Yeah, this one’s simple enough for you to handle.”
Tirred peered through the window. Mary was sick in her bed, cursing up a storm and gagging. Her family stood by her bedside, the older daughter taking a puff of a cigarette.
“It’s just a sick mother who doesn’t have anything left to live for.”
Tirred hesitated. Why would there be any reason to bless this family? The woman cursed, cheated on her husband and was probably a Satanist.
“Snooze you lose, Tir,” Docile said. He pointed a golden angelic staff at the window. “And here we go…”
“Wait, are we actually saving a family?!” Tirred asked, teeth bared.
“No, don’t be foolish, we’re just curing a mother. We’re extending a family.”
He aimed the staff at her, the golden tip on the staff starting to glow teal.
“But…” Tirred began. “Hold on, hold on, let’s just think about it…”
He lifted up Docile’s staff and the beam fired. It hit a nearby cracked mirror in the house, and it repaired itself. Everyone in the room gasped.
“What was that, Ralph?” Mary asked.
“I don’t know Mary,” Ralph replied, shaking his head. He was built like a muscular man with brown hair. “But whatever it is…”
Grinning, he stood up and held a large net. “They’re gonna be the keys to our future!”
Mary smiled and took a big gulp of water. “Alright kids! Nets out!”
The boy and girl took out nets and held their silver cross necklaces.
“Looks like we’ve got some genies to catch here, youngins!” Ralph said with a chuckle as the kids cheered.
“What in Heaven’s name was that, Tirred?” asked a fuming Docile.
Tirred took a deep breath and replied carelessly. “I’m sorry. They just seemed so flawed and pathetic. I reacted.”
Docile face palmed and poked Tirred in the chest several times. “Everyone is flawed and pathetic but who isn’t innocent in the beginning? At the start, you were just an innocent baby with no knowledge of hate or evil! Now get over yourself you grouchy blue downer!”
The kids jumped out of the open window, reflecting sunlight.
“A new light!” cried Docile. “Scatter!”
Docile and Timmid ran off as Ralph carried his wife through a door after them. Tirred looked around, only for a child’s hand to playfully pull at his ears. He yelped and tried to shoo the kids away before they dragged the short elf man back into the house.
“Where are you going, little critter?” called Ralph, as he chased after Timmid. “You can’t hide long from me.” Timmid hid under the dock, before bursting onto the surface. She shot a blue blast with her staff, but Ralph dodged it. Timmid tried to cast a sleeping spell on him with her staff and jumped into the air.
With a well-aimed swipe, Ralph caught Timmid in the giant strong net. Timmid struggled to get free as Ralph smiled kindly down at her.

Meanwhile, Tirred was dragged into the house and was seated in a comfortable chair. The two kids, a boy with brown hair and a girl with light brown pigtails stared at him with puppy-dog eyes.
“Uh, well hello there little brats,” Tirred grumbled. “Aren’t you annoying?”
“It’s nice to have a critter to grant our wishes,” they said at the same time.
Tirred looked around and saw Christian Crosses hanging from the walls. Golden picture frames held awards that the family had won over the years. Beautiful white candles lined the room along with sculptures of cherub babies and unicorns. A bouquet of colorful flowers lay on the table in front of Tirred.
The two children pushed a long scroll of paper toward him.
“Oh sprites,” he scoffed.

Meanwhile, Docile was racing through the woods, Ralph chasing after him after capturing Timmid. Docile hid behind a tree in fear.
“I know you’re confused, little angel,” Ralph called out. “I promise, I can make things good for both of us. Just come let daddy Ralph help you ascend to even greater heights! Ah…shoot… it’s not what it may sound like, I assure you, so please let me take you back!”
Docile’s phone rang with a loud angelic choir, and he struggled a bit before finally catching it. His phone had a smiling halo emoji that read GBY (Go Bless Yourself).
“This is a really bad time,” Docile muttered, the phone against his ear.
At Samael’s palace in Heaven, the shirtless, well-muscled angel was sitting in a lotus position, eyes closed in a steamy dark room with hot coals underneath him.
“When isn’t it a bad time, Docy?” he mused.
“What is it?” Docile asked in frustration. Samael held a rotary phone to his ear, the speakers shaped like skulls.
“I’ve been meaning to follow up on our last conversation regarding my Bible?”
Docile’s angry face appeared in smoke. “What did you just call me?” Samael blew it away.
“My book, Docy. The book I was given to do my job that I have allowed you to use to do yours?”
“I can hear, ya, cherub!” Ralph called.
“Sugar honey iced tea,” Docile muttered, scurrying off.
“Anywho,” Samael continued, “You know, I have been permitting you to access the mortal realm less than legally for quite some time now, but I do need it back to fulfill my duties. I was thinking, what if we worked out some sort of exchange?”
He added, “Favors for favors?” as he slowly scrapped his claws along the floor. “Doesn’t that sound…foreboding?”
Docile ducked behind another tree. “You’ve got to stop with that fancy rich people talk. I’m trying to concentrate on not getting my corp twisted up!”
The net almost got his head from above him.
“Then let me keep it simple,” Samael said. “Once a month, on the new moon, you return the book to me, followed by a night of…”
He grinned evilly, stretching his legs, and sinking into the lava, “Grueling repentance.” He leaned out over the hole. “And… you get to keep it the rest of the time. Sound fair my little elf?”
“Fine, whatever!” Docile replied.
“Oh, Docy! I’m so excited! I cannot wait to put you up on a torture rack and pinch your filthy blue **** with a blade of ****…”
Docile was soon pinned to the tree by Ralph. “Gotcha!” Docile’s phone dropped, and Samael was still talking.
Ralph grinned. “So, you’re a little angel, huh? Come to say hello without staying?”
Mary slowly came forward from behind her husband and added, “Well not today, Jesus! Y’all will grant our desires and then we’ll send ya back to where ya came from! B-but don’t worry, we ain’t gonna kill ya, you’ll just travel back through the sky.”

Back at the house, Tirred was mindlessly scanning a list of requests that the kids had placed in front of him. The lists read misspelled things like: “Pwease save our mother!” “Give me a brand new pony.” “I want the humans of dis world to not be mindless apes and start care-ring for each other.” “All Earth-ings deserve a second chance unless you’re Hitler or Trump.” “End pe-dough-pile and insect familial shipping.” The last request was most unusual: “Give us the next Has-Been cartoon episode along with a four-inch wide, five-inch-deep bowl of jazz-berries, strawberry sugar on top.”
Just then, Tirred saw figures in white head to the lake.
“Timmid,” Tirred sighed. Strengthening his resolve, he put on his fiercest face, stood up with claws out and said in a deep voice to the children…
“A friend in need is a friend indeed.”
He didn’t even know why he said that, but it was enough to confuse the children long enough for him to dash through a window and race toward the lake.

Ralph and Mary were singing heavenly melodies in hooded white robes as Timmid and Docile were tied to their own staffs. Candles were lit and an altar with a bowl of holy water stood nearby.
“Sugar honey iced tea, I had that shot, gosh darn it, Tirred,” Docile scoffed. Both struggled to get free.
“Jesus!” Mary said with the last of her strength. “We compel your divine creatures to grant us our many well-thought out wishes! May the root of holiness remained honored as we continue thy work!”
Ralph clapped his hands in excitement.
With coughs, Mary picked up the bowl of holy water with shaking hands. She then walked over to the elves and poured the water over their heads.
Mary and Ralph smiled expectantly for a moment.
“Yeah, that’s not exactly how it works, ma’am,” Docile said. “You see holy water doesn’t really work on us but we could pretend to be if you let us go.”
“Huh? Oh poop.” Then she got an idea. “Then I’ll just bless you guys instead! You want to meet Jesus in person, don’t you?”
“I’ve always wanted to meet him in person,” Docile said. “I heard he’s kind of a cool hippie.”
“Docile!” Timmid scolded.
Mary laughed for a few seconds until she clutched at her chest. The illness had finally gotten to her, and she collapsed to the ground. Ralph screamed at the sight of his dying wife. The light faded from her eyes at last.
“Tirred!” Timmid called out. Tirred ran over and freed his companions.
“You’re not getting your paycheck for this one, Tir,” Docile remarked as he fell down, his staff falling and bonking him on the head. “Ow!”
Timmid and Tirred embraced as the human family sobbed, Ralph cradling his deceased wife in his arms.
“I’m okay,” Docile moaned. Tirred helped him up. “I’m sorry, sir. I compromised our objective and put us in harm’s way. It won’t happen again. I promise.”
“Apology accepted this time,” Docile said, hugging him. Then he muttered, “But if you ever pull off a stunt like this again, I’ll overwork you and your girlfriend…alright!” he added quickly standing up. “Job well done! Now let’s get off.”
“Wait a second,” Tirred called. “I need to settle things with them.”
“Say this to them before we leave, or you’re fired.” Docile whispered a command into his ear.
“Now, hurry up,” Docile added, before saying into his phone, “Sunna, we’re ready to come home, dear!”
Tirred could briefly hear Docile and Samael talking. Samael was saying something like, “You and I are on ****** angel’s eyeballs and hot gold all night.”
Tirred stared at Ralph and his stunned kids.
“What are you gonna do, little guy?” Ralph asked. “Mock us?”
“I should,” Tirred said, aiming his staff at them before lowering it. “You people are…interesting. I’m very sorry about your loss. But, you deserve a word of warning. Look at your children. They have their whole future ahead of them. Do not be swayed down the path of greed and unfaithfulness. Remember, there’s still an 85% chance that you’ll go to Hell. I hope you won’t feel so compelled to pursue any more selfish desires.”
Then Tirred reluctantly said, as Docile ordered him to: “I hereby declare that you will be reunited with your wife in Heaven if you redeem yourselves.”
Tirred gave them one last glare and left, meeting the other elves back at the portal in the dark woods.
“There you are,” Docile said. “Have a good spiritual reflection session, Tirred?”
“What?”
“Look, I don’t care where you pray in the living world, just pray you’ll come to work on time, alright? See you at the office!” He raced through the portal.
“Feeling better now, honey?” Timmid asked.
“Yeah, I just needed a little time to process,” Tirred said.
“You have a good heart, sweetie,” Timmid said. “Just a grumpy head.” She playfully pinched her boyfriend’s cheek and kissed him. A dopy expression came on Tirred’s usually grumpy face. Docile pulled him back through the portal.

Back at the office, two of the elves, Sunna and Mrs. Mayberry had cake. “We tried,” was written in blue frosting on the white angel’s food cake. (Devil’s food cake was forbidden). A new angel, Mary, arrived, and hugged Mrs. Mayberry, the two friends reunited at last.
“Thank you for reuniting me with my best friend,” said Mrs. Mayberry.
“I’m sorry we couldn’t save you in time,” said Docile, downcast.
“It’s alright,” said Mary. “Death is part of life. You guys did your part in comforting my family and helping us learn our lessons. I think I’ll like it here.”
Everyone laughed except for a fuming Tirred who sat in the middle. A banner overhead read: “Loved the dame.” Tirred was angry that they had comforted a woman who appeared quite flawed in the eyes of many in Heaven.
Tirred wasn’t sure if he agreed to the “senseless blessings” morals of E.L.F. anymore.
Timmid hugged Tirred around his neck and smiled. “Did you see that? He did it! Oh Tirred!”
“Well here’s to another mission accomplished,” Docile announced. “And Tirred here finally learned to fess up.”
“And blessing people with what they don’t want, but rather with what they need is no big deal if they are too involved with what they want for themselves,” Timmid added.
“That’s harsh and confusing, but I paid for it!” Mayberry added as everyone except Tirred laughed again.
“Yeah, bless that family!” Docile declared.

Several weeks later, Tirred was longing around in his office, listening to some rock music. He wondered what kind of craziness he’d have to deal with today.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. “Hey Tirred, it’s me, Docile. Got some news for ya.”
“Come in,” he grumbled.
The door opened and Docile peered in. Tirred walked over. “Can I help you, sir?” he asked, eyebrow raised.
“You’re not gonna believe who I just met!”
Docile smiled with a giddy look and stepped to the side. Reaching to his legs stood two kids: a boy and a girl with white wings and halos.
“Two new kids, so what?” Tirred asked.
“Not just any kids,” Docile mentioned. “These two are Mary’s kids. You comforted her and blessed her family, remember?”
“Wait, what?!” Tirred asked, louder, eyes wide.
“By blessing her life, you also helped her family stay on the righteous path! And now they all died!”
“Hold up, hold up, sir! Why are they dead and in Heaven, then? I thought they died of the Covid virus right away.”
“Well…they did, actually.”
“You and your inconsistency! Why are you so happy to have them here, then?!”
The two-winged children began chasing each other around the room.
“Hey, do you two mind getting out of my office?! It’s not a playground,” Tirred demanded.
“Because they lived great lives and didn’t get sent to Hell!” Docile replied. “It means we’ve succeeded in our job!”
“Are you kidding me? They had their whole lives ahead of them!”
“Death ain’t picky, Tirred,” Docile finished.
The two kids flew over and hopped into Tirred’s lap. One of them pinched his cheeks and the other made funny faces at him. Mary and Ralph smiled in the background behind Docile.
Tirred let out a grumpy groan. “Who knew Heaven would be Hell on Earth?” he muttered as one of the kids blew a raspberry at him. Docile chuckled at the heart-warming sight.
