Changbin's POV

Changbin was a curious man. Especially after his closest friends Chan and Minho kept talking to him about their hybrid partners and how lovely they were. Changbin had had a couple of relationships in the past but things had never gotten serious. He was longing for someone to come home to and cuddle after a long day. And no, his roommate Hyunjin (aka the biggest physical touch hater) didn't count. Changbin wished he could confide in someone the way Chan did with Seungmin or Minho with Jisung, Felix and their girlfriend (that lucky bastard). He was craving that special feeling he heard so much about from his friends. Which is how Changbin ended up at the hybrid shelter.

"Can I help with something? What kind of hybrid are you looking for?" the man working there asked.

"Um...I don't really have anything particular in mind."

"That's alright. Why don't you look around and let me know if something catches your eye."

Changbin nodded and started marveling at the variety of beautiful creatures residing at the shelter. He knew that he couldn't adopt more than one hybrid (he could technically afford it but he was too busy with work and he was aware that hybrids required a lot of attention and affection) so he hoped that they all found a caring home someday.

Soon enough, his stare met the nervous eyes of a bunny hybrid. She had the most adorable pout and the fluffiest tail. Changbin wasn't the type to believe in fairytale stuff like love at first sight but seeing her was enough to overwhelm him with the most intense urge to take her away and protect her.

"Hi, what's your name?"

"Y/N," she replied. "Are you looking to adopt?"

Changbin confirmed his intentions.

"Found anything to your liking?" the bunny hybrid kept up the conversation.

"Yeah...you."

Reader's POV

Your eyes widened in shock. You'd spent so long at the shelter that you had abandonded the foolish desire (hope) to get adopted long ago. You couldn't believe what you were hearing.

"You...want to adopt...me?" you had to make sure.

The man nodded calmly.

"How do you feel about that?"

You didn't want to show your true emotions (them being extreme excitement and intense joy) out of fear that he'd change his mind. So you tried to play it cool.

"That's fine, I guess," you shrugged, when in reality you were bursting with impatience. You would finally get a real home!

"Great, then I'll go deal with the paperwork," the man said confidently. "I'm Changbin, by the way. It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise," you gave him a small smile.

Soon enough you were inside Changbin's home. No, it was your home now, too. This would take some time getting used to.

"This is the living room, this is the gym, this is the kitchen, this is the music studio, this is my room, this is my friend Hyunjin's room, this is the bathroom and this will be your room," Changbin began showing you around the house.

"Wow, that's a lot of rooms," you were amazed.

"I'll show you the pool later," he smirked.

The what now? Had you died and ended up in heaven? This seemed too good to be true.

"So, um, what exactly are your...expectations of me?" you asked nervously.

"What do you mean?" Changbin seemed confused.

"I mean...what do I have to do in return? For you to let me stay here."

Changbin blinked in shock.

"You don't have to do anything, cupcake. I just...want you to be happy and make yourself at home, yeah?"

You were definitely dreaming.

Hyunjin's POV

Hyunjin was a possessive man. Especially after his best friend (who was also the guy he was crushing on) adopted the bunny hybrid Y/N. Hyunjin was haunted by questions filled with self-doubt. Wasn't he a good enough roommate to Changbin? Wouldn't he make a wonderful boyfriend? Why did Changbin have to replace him so easily with this...bunny girl (albeit a very beautiful one)? Hyunjin was also a hopeless romantic. He kept fantasizing about the perfect relationship and making playlists about love. He would draw figures stuck to each other in an affectionate embrace. He would often dream about his ideal type. And all his dreams had a face. Changbin. Changbin. Changbin.

"So you just decided to take her home without asking me?" Hyunjin scoffed.

"I already told you I had been thinking about adopting for a while now," Changbin defended his choice.

"Thinking about something and actually doing it are two very different things," Hyunjin groaned in annoyance.

"Why are you acting like this? Y/N is so nice."

Nice. What a terrible word. Hyunjin could be nice, too. Why didn't Changbin see how much he liked him?

"Whatever," he rolled his eyes.

"She deserves a loving home. Every hybrid does."

"So I suppose you wouldn't mind if I adopted a hybrid myself?" Hyunjin said as a joke. He just wanted to make Changbin as jealous as he was.

"Fine by me!" Changbin shrugged.

"FINE!" Hyunjin yelled and grabbed his jacket, already heading out.

"FINE!" Changbin shouted after him.

And that is how Hyunjin ended up at the shelter. He had no previous knowledge about them. Sure, he had heard some basic facts from Chan and Minho, but still. Hyunjin didn't even know what he was looking for. He just took one look at the mischievous fox hybrid and felt an immediate connection.

"Do you wanna get out of here?"

"What's in it for me?" the fox hybrid raised his eyebrows.

Hyunjin hadn't planned that far.

"Uh, having a warm bed and a proper home not good enough for ya?"

"I've seen far worse than the conditions at this shelter," the hybrid replied darkly.

Well, shit. What could Hyunjin possibly offer?

"Unlimited food? A bunny hybrid friend to play with? Cool clothes?"

"You had me at food."

Jeongin's POV

Jeongin was a hungry man. Especially after his former owners abandoned him in the most cruel way. Jeongin had practically been starving for ages. So the opportunity given to him by Hyunjin wasn't one he could resist. But Jeongin had lied. It wasn't the food that had him interested the most.

"How could you adopt a fox hybrid?" Changbin yelled at Hyunjin. "Foxes eat bunnies, it's common knowledge!"

"He's a hybrid, not an actual fox, you idiot!" Hyunjin screamed back.

"You're so fucking irresponsible!"

"At least I informed you about my plans instead of telling you post-factum!"

Humans. So loud...And dramatic.

"I promise I won't eat the bunny hybrid," Jeongin raised his hand politely and did his best to look as amiable as possible.

Changbin nodded thoughtfully.

"You better prove it."

"He will," Hyunjin defended his hybrid's honour.

"Then, I guess he can stay," Changbin acquiesced. "But if I get any complaints from my precious bunny, he's out."

Jeongin promised he wouldn't eat her. But he made no other promises.

When he met her for the first time, it was like all his fantasies had come true. Oh, she was so adorable and helpless he wanted to ruin her.

Reader's POV

You fearfully hid behind Changbin's back when your eyes met with the fox hybrid's. As if a human could defend you against this...dangerous predator.

"Relax, cupcake," Changbin murmured. "Hyunjin will keep him under control. Right, Hyunjin?"

"Sure, don't worry about it," Hyunjin responded.

You sneaked a peak uneasily. The fox hybrid was so handsome, you had to admit. It was as if nature itself had designed him to be alluring enough for prey like...well, you.

"My name is Jeongin," he introduced himself. "I hope we get along, bunny."

You sensed shudders running down your skin. The way he said that last word...It was almost menacing. And yet his innocent face was in stark contrast with the goosebumps he was giving you. It was deeply confusing. And despite the promise of danger, you were already aching for more. To hear his voice again.

"I'm Y/N," you blurted out. "N-nice to m-meet you."

You felt so pathetic, stammering like a fool.

"It's a beautiful name," Jeongin smiled. Saccharine sweet. "Y/N."

"Um...thanks," you mumbled.

"It wasn't a compliment, just the truth. I promised these nice hyungs I won't eat you. It is only right I make the same promise to you, don't you think?"

You nodded, almost in a daze. Empty words. You were too nervous to speak. He had said he wouldn't eat you. But why did you have the feeling he was capable of so much worse?

Your earlier suspicions were correct. This whole thing was too good to be true.

Changbin's POV

Changbin was a cautious man. Which is why, despite Jeongin's sparkly eyes and his profound promises, he didn't want to leave him alone with Y/N. Yet. He knew it was most likely just prejudice, considering two of Minho's partners were cat hybrids, while his third was a hamster hybrid and they were all living in peace. No casualties. But still, he couldn't help but be a little overprotective when it came to his precious bunny. Which is why he created this whole schedule thing. When Changbin had to go out, Hyunjin would stay with the two hybrids. Or vice versa.

"How are you liking this place so far?" Changbin asked Y/N one day, around a month after he adopted her.

"Oh, it's great, but not much different from the shelter. No offense," she responded.

"What do you mean?" he pouted.

"I mean...I don't get to go out."

Shit. Fuck. Changbin couldn't believe he had forgotten about that. Of course she wanted to go out, she was a bunny hybrid!

"I'm so sorry, it totally slipped my mind!" he apologized sincerely. "Do you wanna join me for a run in the park?"

"I would love that!" she squealed excitedly and gave Changbin a quick but deeply grateful hug.

When in the park, Y/N completely transformed. She seemed more carefree and energized. Practically glowing. It was refreshing to see her this way. When she was inside, it was as if she had a hidden worry behind her eyes that she couldn't quite seem to shake.

"Can you do me a favour, Binnie?"

"Sure, anything."

"Can you...like chase me?"

"You want me to chase you?" Changbin smirked.

"Yeah."

"You do know I work out...like a LOT," he said confidently.

"I know," she smiled in anticipation.

"Go ahead, then. I’ll give you a headstart. Run."

Reader's POV

And run you did. It was such a rush. You felt so free and happy. A surge of adrenaline was coursing through your veins as you kept running faster than ever before. After a couple of minutes, you felt your energy levels decreasing. And you slowed down, allowing yourself to be captured by Changbin's strong arms.

"Caught you," he announced proudly.

"You did," you smiled fondly.

"Do I get a reward as the winner in this race?" Changbin teased.

"What do you want?" you asked.

"A kiss?" Changbin said as a joke.

But you weren't in the mood for playing around. After he had done as you asked and chased you so nicely, you felt like it was only fair to give the man what he desired. So, you wrapped your hands around the back of his neck and kissed him eagerly, taking him by surprise. He tasted like summer and salt and freedom.

"Woah," he whispered after you broke the kiss. "I was just messing around."

"You didn't like it?" you blinked dejectedly, your lips forming into a pout.

"No, no, I loved it, but I...hope you didn't do anything you didn't want to do just because I said so."

"Trust me, Bin, I wanted that kiss. Perhaps more than you did."

"Wanna bet?"

"I would but I don't believe feelings can be measured. Degrees of comparison would be irrelevant. Thus, it would be difficult to determine the winner in an unbiased manner."

"Smartass," Changbin flicked your nose gently. "So where does that leave us? Do you...wanna be my girlfriend or something?"

"Sounds nice," you grinned, burying your head into his chest.

"Let me take you out, then."

"You already did, silly. We're at the park. The park is out."

"Fair point, girlfriend," Changbin chuckled and hugged you.

Hyunjin's POV

Hyunjin was a jealous man. Especially after he found out that his crush had started dating the bunny hybrid he'd adopted a while ago. However, she was too pure and kind-hearted Hyunjin didn't have the heart to be mad at her. The way she looked at him with those sparkly eyes...Hyunjin was almost tempted to steal her away from Changbin. Nah, he wouldn't. Unless...

Other than jealousy, Hyun's mind was consumed by thoughts of wanting to prove himself to Changbin. He wanted his crush to view him as responsible. As an adult. Which is why, he made it his mission to turn Jeongin into the sweetest, most obedient angel. He wanted to rely on the fox hybrid and make sure that Y/N would be safe around him. If that could be achieved, then maybe Changbin could rely on Hyunjin, as well. After a month of getting closer to Jeongin, Hyunjin was hopeful that the younger man would behave well.

One afternoon, while Changbin was working, Hyunjin decided to test his fox hybrid. He knew it was against Changbin's rules to leave the two hybrids alone and it was kinda risky, but he hoped it would be worth it.

"You'll be good, yeah?" Hyunjin made sure.

"Yes, hyung, don't worry about me," Jeongin blinked innocently.

"I'm not worried about you, little fox," Hyunjin ruffled the boy's hair affectionately. "I'm worried about Y/N over there."

"I thought you didn't like her," Jeongin smiled mischievously.

"It's not that I don't like her," Hyunjin defended his previous words. "I just like Changbin more."

Hyunjin had confided in Jeongin about his feelings for Changbin. He had no idea why. Something about the fox hybrid made Hyun want to trust him. Like no one else before.

"Where do I stand in your pyramid of affections?" Jeongin wanted to know.

"You're climbing up steadily," Hyunjin admitted. "Okay, I'll head out. Don't eat the bunny."

"Relax, hyung, I have no use of doing that. You and Changbin-hyung gave me a home. I wouldn't do anything THAT reckless."

Hyunjin's eyes narrowed. Jeongin was kinda strange. Did he only do things that were of use to him? Oh, well. He would worry about that some other time.

Jeongin's POV

Jeongin was a patient man. He had waited so long for an opportunity to be alone with Y/N. He couldn't let it go to waste. He wouldn't be stopped by the fact that Changbin was now her boyfriend. He would still use this chance to get closer to her. As a fellow hybrid, he was sure she would understand his feelings better than anyone.

"Hi, bunny," Jeongin greeted her.

Y/N shuddered and wrapped her arms around her own waist as if to shield herself from the fox hybrid.

"Shh, I won't hurt you. I just want to talk. Is that alright with you?"

She nodded reluctantly.

"I wanted to tell you about my past life. About how my former owners abused me, both physically and mentally, made me feel like the scum of the earth, and then abandoned me on the street. Like I was worth less than nothing. Which is why I strongly distrust humans. Of course, Changbin-hyung and Hyunjin-hyung seem nice. Different. I'm not saying all this shit to scare you. It's just a warning. If they ever hurt you, I want you to come to me, yeah?"

"Why would they hurt me?" Y/N asked. "They...seem so caring."

"I don't know, bunny. Why do you think humans do anything? For fun. Because it gives them pleasure to torment others. Makes them feel superior."

"We're half-human, too," she reminded him.

"I hate that half."

"I don't," Y/N said softly. "It's still...a part of us."

"You're...not what I expected," Jeongin mused out loud.

"What did you expect? A scared little bunny who does nothing but tremble in fear at the sight of the big bad...fox."

She pronounced that last word in an almost challenging way. As if to remind Jeongin he was just that. A fox. Not a wolf.

"No. I expected you would share my distrust of humans. Didn't you hate every second of being locked up in that shelter? Waiting, begging, praying for a better life. Better food, warmer bed, safer home. Didn't you yearn for...more?"

"I did. And here we are now. Isn't it good enough for you?"

"Do you want the ugly truth or a pretty lie?" Jeongin inquired.

"Whatever you choose to share."

"It's good enough for now," Jeongin grinned mysteriously and climbed into her bed.

Reader's POV

"W-what are you doing, Jeongin?" you asked in terror when you saw Jeongin moving closer towards you and started crawling back.

"Don't worry, I won't do anything to you. Yet."

"What does that mean?" you whimpered.

"It means I'll take my sweet time ruining you."

"It'll be a lot harder than you think," you tried to put on a brave face. "It won't be that easy to tempt me."

"Oh, bunny. Imma make it look so easy," Jeongin leaned in and caressed your cheek with his cold index finger.

You wanted to push him away. You really did. But it was as if you were frozen into place by the inexplicable magic of his intense stare.

He laughed like a maniac and lowered his finger.

"For today, I just want to hold you. Will you let me?"

"You want to cuddle?" you raised your eyebrows in suspicion. The request seemed innocent enough.

"Nothing more, nothing less," Jeongin vowed.

"Do you expect me to believe that?"

"I expect you to give me a chance."

"Why bother asking me, though? You're so much stronger than me, physically," you observed, your voice tinted with longing.

"I don't want to take anything by force. Not from you, bun."

"Hold me, then. If you catch me," you stuck your tongue out at him and jumped from the bed, running towards the door. Opening it quickly, your sprinted down the corridor, randomly entering room after room. Luckily, Changbin's home was big enough to prolong the chase. However, you soon grew bored with it and decided to let Jeongin catch you. Running was no fun for you without the sweet surrender of being cuddled.

"Do you like it that much? The chase?" Jeongin read you like an open book, as he wrapped his firm arms around you in a tight grip.

"I like being captured more," you confessed.

"Why?"

"Why what?" you played dumb as he pulled you towards your room, where you both landed back on the bed, still holding onto each other for dear life.

"Why do you like being captured more?"

"Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't like it if it was a stranger. But with you...and Changbin, I feel safe. I don't know."

"Tsk, you were doing so well and then you had to fuck it up by mentioning another man's name while you're in my arms."

"He's my boyfriend, Jeongin," you reminded him.

Jeongin grinned and looked at the half-open door. Changbin was just...standing there.

"Speak of the devil."

Changbin's POV

Changbin was an angry man. Especially when someone touched something that was his.

"What the fuck are you doing?" he snapped at his girlfriend and Jeongin.

"We were just cuddling," Y/N explained.

"You expect me to believe that?" Changbin was fuming with rage.

"It's the truth," Jeongin shrugged.

"Yeah, well, I don't buy it," he hissed and stormed out of the room but not before he could hear Y/N telling Jeongin:

"I'll go talk to him, you stay out of it."

She caught up with Changbin soon enough and wrapped her tiny arms around his waist, thus, hugging him from behind. Despite his anger mere seconds ago, Changbin couldn't bear the thought of pushing her away. She seemed so fragile and soft-hearted.

"I promise you nothing happened, Binnie. Don't you trust me?" she whispered and he could practically hear the pout in her voice.

"I trust you. It's Jeongin I don't trust," Changbin responded.

"Why not?"

"Just a feeling. I don't want him to steal you away from me."

"He won't," Y/N promised. "My heart will always belong with you."

Changbin turned around to face his adorable girlfriend.

"Yeah?"

"Of course. You're my hero, you saved me and gave me a home and-"

"Is it just that, though?" Changbin asked. "If I hadn't adopted you, would you not fall for me?"

"How else would we have met?" she chuckled sadly.

"It's a hypothetical situation, cupcake."

"Whether we met at a park or a restaurant or another planet, I would have still fallen for you. You make me feel safe and free. And you're so beautiful and warm, how could anyone not fall for you is beyond me."

Changbin smiled proudly and his cheeks flushed with colour.

"You mean that?"

"I don't say or do things I don't want to."

Changbin's mood suddenly turned sour again.

"Is that why you cuddled Jeongin? You wanted to do it so badly you had to do so behind my back?"

"He asked politely. And it was purely platonic, I don't get why you're upset."

"I'm not upset, I'm mad. I want to be the only one that gets to cuddle you."

"Isn't that a bit greedy? I believe everyone in our house deserves cuddles, no?"

"I hate it," Changbin groaned. "But I'll try to live with it because I trust you and treasure you. And I don't want something so silly to stand between us."

Reader's POV

Jeongin was wrong. Not all humans were like his previous owners. His warnings were useless. And you were certain that Changbin wouldn't hurt you. He was so sweet and kind and understanding. You couldn't ask for a better boyfriend.

Jeongin was also wrong about another thing. You couldn't possibly imagine hating your human half. Humans like Changbin had hearts of pure gold and smiles full of sun. He was making your days brighter and you couldn't imagine your life without him.

And thirdly, even though you didn't know what Jeongin meant with all that talk about ruining you, you were determined to make it difficult for him. Changbin gave you the truest happiness you had ever experienced and the last thing you wanted to do was something that would take that happiness away from you.

You were sitting in Changbin's lap on the couch in the living room, playing with his gorgeous dark hair.

"I'm sorry," he murmured gently, rubbing his nose against your neck.

"For what?" your brows furrowed.

"For behaving like a jealous ass."

"You don't have to apologize, Bin. I'm just glad we talked."

He smiled fondly at you and placed his hand on your cheek.

"You're an angel," he spoke tenderly.

"Nah, I'm just a bunny hybrid," you giggled.

"Same thing," Changbin replied and pulled you into a deep kiss, the thumb of his right hand simultaneously caressing your chin, while his left hand was gripping your waist. You were running your fingers through his hair, while your other hand was holding onto the back of his neck. Changbin started kissing you more hungrily and you wanted to give him everything you had so that he would never starve again. You became so lost in the feeling you didn't hear the door unlocking. It was Hyunjin's voice that caused you to pull apart from Changbin.

"Ugh, keep it private, guys," he whined loudly. "The living room is a shared space!"

"Hey, you have no right to complain!" Changbin scolded him. You were confused. What had Hyunjin done? "I can't believe you left Y/N alone with Jeongin!" Oh. That.

"He didn't eat her, so mission accomplished. Can't you just praise me for training Jeongin so well?"

Changbin glared at Hyunjin.

"You were willing to risk my girlfriend getting eaten so that I would fucking praise you? I swear, Hyunjin, I don't know why we're friends sometimes."

Hyunjin flinched as if struck by Changbin's harsh words. You could see the tears starting to form in his beautiful eyes. You felt so bad. Honestly, you didn't mind being left alone with Jeongin, so you didn't see why this was such a big deal to Changbin. So, you decided to interfere.

"I'm okay, Bin. Hyunjin made the right call. It was bound to happen eventually. You can't stay inside to guard me 24/7 and put your entire lives on hold just because of some stereotypes."

"Oh, so you're taking Hyunjin's side now?" Changbin scoffed.

"I'm not taking anyone's side," you explained yourself. "I just think it's more sensible for us all to trust each other if we intend to continue living in the same home."

"Changbin made it abundantly clear he doesn't know why he's friends with me. I suppose that also means I'm no longer welcome here, so I guess I'll move out. Don't worry, I'm taking Jeongin with me."

"Hyunjin, wait!" you exclaimed but Hyunjin was already running towards his room, presumably to start packing his bags. "Talk to him, Changbin! He's your best friend!"

You figured it was the use of his full name that scared him out of his mind, as he immediately rushed after Hyunjin.

Hyunjin's POV

Hyunjin was sitting on his bed, crying. He couldn't bear the thought to start packing. Also, he was lowkey hoping he wouldn't have to. Even though it was immensely painful to watch Changbin with another, it would be even more painful to lose his best friend. He could bottle up his feelings for him, but he couldn't imagine their entire friendship ending. Luckily, his prayers were answered soon enough. He heard a knock on the door.

"Can I come in?" Changbin asked.

"It's open," Hyunjin called out, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to hide his tears. It was useless. Changbin knew him better than anyone.

"Have you been crying?" he inquired, even though the answer was obvious.

"I just need some time, I'll gather my-"

"Don't," Changbin interrupted him half-sentence. "I don't want you to move out."

"Yeah?" Hyunjin mumbled doubtfully.

"Of course not, dumbass. The reason I give you so much shit about being responsible is because I want what's best for you. Not because I don't trust you. I'm sorry I said the thing about not knowing why we're friends. It wasn't true. You are so dear to me, so funny and gentle and hard-working. I couldn't imagine a better best friend. I never meant to hurt you, though."

Hyunjin, who generally disliked any physical contact, couldn't resist the urge to hug his friend tightly. Changbin patted his pack comfortingly.

"I'm sorry, too. I shouldn't have left Jeongin alone with Y/N without talking to you first."

"It's alright," Changbin waved him off. "They just cuddled."

"Without us?" Hyunjin exclaimed dramatically, putting a hand on his heart.

"I know, right? That's exactly what I thought!" Changbin chuckled and high-fived his friend.

"The audacity of these hybrids," Hyunjin complained as a joke. "We give them a wonderful home and they don't even bother to invite us for cuddles!"

"Hey, since when are you such a big fan of cuddling?" Changbin eyed him suspiciously.

"Since you."

Changbin's POV

Changbin didn't want to ask Hyunjin what he meant by that. It was too late for that now. Changbin had spent too long pining after Hyunjin. But his best friend had been clueless when it came to Changbin's feelings for Hyun. Therefore, he had done the only thing he possibly could - he moved on. And now that he was genuinely happy with Y/N, Changbin didn't want to go to the time when he felt so helpless, quietly crushing on his roommate. He'd been so pathetic back then. But he had a lovely girlfriend now. So Changbin was determined that he wouldn't let Hyunjin's words confuse him.

"Don't you dare think about packing your stuff, alright?" Changbin swiftly changed the subject.

"You're stuck with me, hyung," Hyunjin replied, staring at him in such an affectionate way Changbin wasn't sure what to do. If only he'd done so before he'd gotten with Y/N. No! Changbin couldn't afford to have such thoughts.

But Hyunjin seemed intent on making it extremely difficult for Changbin to suppress his feelings. Feelings he thought he'd gotten over. Hyunjin pulled Changbin by the hand and buried his head into Changbin's chest.

"I missed this. Just us two," he slurred.

"Don't say shit like that," Changbin swallowed nervously.

"Why not? It's true," Hyunjin confessed.

"Y/N and Jeongin are...wonderful."

"I never said they weren't. I just said I missed having you all to myself."

Changbin shook his head. Where were these words back then?

"Hyun, please, don't do this to me," Changbin said seriously.

"I'm not doing anything," Hyunjin blinked innocently.

"Let go," he whispered weakly.

"I won't. If you want to get rid of me so badly, you'll have to push me away."

Changbin couldn't do that. He wanted to be even closer. No, this was wrong. He had a girlfriend. He couldn't do that to her. Changbin gently removed Hyunjin's hand from his wrist and took a step back.

"I'll...go check on Y/N."

"Of course you will," Hyunjin sighed wistfully.

Hyunjin's POV

Hyunjin was a spontaneous man. So, when Changbin remained blind to Hyunjin's hints, he quickly made up his mind what to do next. He was so tired of being invisible to the one man he aspired to have so desperately. He needed to win his heart one way or another. And he knew just the thing that might help him succeed.

Hyunjin entered Jeongin's room in a hurry.

"Sorry, forgot to knock," Hyunjin said instead of greeting.

"It's fine," Jeongin shrugged and paused the video he was watching. "What's up?"

"I fucking hate Changbin!" Hyunjin groaned.

"No, you don't," Jeongin replied coldly. He already knew him so well, it always amazed Hyunjin. Were his emotions that transparent to everyone but Changbin?

"You're right and I fucking hate that, too," Hyunjin cried out dramatically and sat down on the bed next to the younger man. "What am I supposed to do?"

"The wisest thing would be to just confess to Changbin-hyung and end your misery," Jeongin suggested.

"I'd rather die," Hyunjin shuddered.

"Do you have any better ideas?" Jeongin glared at him sceptically.

"How about...I kiss you?" Hyunjin blurted out randomly.

"You want me to be your fucking rebound?" Jeongin hissed in disbelief.

"Not exactly a rebound. I just want to kiss you and somehow get caught by Changbin so I'll make him jealous."

"Hm, that doesn't sound too bad," Jeongin acquisced. "But we'll have to practice beforehand to make it believable. If our first kiss is directly in front of Changbin, it may look awkward and he'll know we're faking it."

"You're so smart!" Hyunjin exclaimed and leaned his head towards Jeongin. But the fox hybrid was quick to place a hand between their lips before they collided.

"I don't do anything for free, hyung," Jeongin grinned devilishly.

"You're so pretty, Innie, will you please let me kiss you?" Hyunjin was practically begging.

"Compliments will get you nowhere. What will you give me if I let you kiss me?"

"Anything you want," Hyunjin promised without thinking.

"Hm...can you get me some pills against insomnia? I've had troubles falling asleep during the past week," Jeongin explained sadly.

"Of course I can! Even if we don't kiss, I'll get them for you 'cause you're precious to me and sleep is very important and I want you to be healthy and feel safe and-"

Jeongin's POV

Jeongin thought that Hyunjin was too loud and talkative sometimes. So naturally, he had to shut him up as fast as possible. Therefore, he interrupted him mid-sentence and crashed their lips together. Hyunjin was taken aback but quickly eased into the kiss and placed his palms on Jeongin's cheeks. The fox hybrid bit on the human's tongue greedily and pulled his hair. Hyunjin didn't seem to mind and let the younger man tease him as he pleased. Jeongin was so hungry. Eventually, they pulled back from each other, gasping for air.

"Oops. Guess I kissed you first," Jeongin lifted his shoulders, pretending to be surprised by his own actions.

"Guess you did," Hyunjin chuckled. "Wanna go again?"

"Later. I'm kinda hungry and super tired right now," Jeongin said, subtly reminding Hyunjin of his earlier promise.

"Oh, okay," Hyunjin mumbled, a little disappointed. "I'll go get those sleeping pills you asked for rightaway."

"Ah, yeah," Jeongin played it cool as if he'd forgotten all about them. "Thanks, hyung."

"No problem. I'll be back soon, alright? Do you want me to get you something to eat, as well?"

"I'll find something in the fridge," Jeongin reassured him.

"Cool, cool," Hyunjin scratched the back of his head anxiously. "See you later."

"Bye, hyung," Jeongin waved at him as he was leaving the room.

Finally. His sleepy face immediately turned energetic, as he rushed into the kitchen. When he opened the fridge, he was extremely overjoyed to find some fried chicken left from yesterday. He couldn't even be bothered with heating it up. Forgetting everything about manners, Jeongin stuffed his mouth full.

"What are you up to?" his alone time with the delicious food was interrupted by Y/N's soft voice.

"I'm eating. Obviously," Jeongin snapped at her. He wasn't himself when he was hungry.

"Gee, relax, I was just trying to make conversation," Y/N pouted adorably.

"I'm sorry, bunny," Jeongin murmured apologetically. "Wanna join?"

"You're willing to share food...with me?"

"I don't share food with anyone. I was asking if you would like to be eaten by me?"

"You're messing with me, right?" Y/N asked in horror.

"Duh," Jeongin rolled his eyes. "If I had such intentions, I would have eaten you the night we first met."

"I suppose I should be flattered I still haven't become your meal?" she joked.

"I don't particularly enjoy eating creatures that can talk. Kinda kills my appetite," Jeongin confessed.

"Does that mean you've tried...eating someone who talks?" Y/N gasped.

"I'm joking," Jeongin smiled innocently. "Or am I?" His eyes darkened once again, causing her to shudder.

"You're so weird," she shook her head in amusement.

"Bad weird or good weird?" Jeongin wanted to know the bunny hybrid's honest opinion of him.

"Hybrids and people are neither entirely bad nor good. Besides, those are human categories. I don't care about them," Y/N shrugged. "You're funny weird. That's all I meant."

"I can live with that," Jeongin nodded, lost in thought.

Reader's POV

One evening, you were bored out of your mind. Your incredible boyfriend Changbin still hadn't returned home. He was so hard-working and you admired him for that but you missed him immensely and wished you could spend more time with him. So, after staying inside your room all day, reading books and daydreaming about Bin, you wanted a change of scenery. So, you entered the living room, intending to watch some TV. However, you were greeted with a sight you hadn't expected in the slightest. Jeongin and Hyunjin were making out on the couch. Their hands were all over each other and even their shirts were off! You were too shocked you couldn't speak. And yet, they somehow felt your presence.

"Oh, hi, Y/N," Hyunjin welcomed you calmly.

"Um, hi, Hyun," you mumbled nervously. "Hi, Jeongin."

"Hi, bunny," Jeongin grinned wickedly and you could swear he did that on purpose! He wanted to annoy you and make you curious to know what his lips tasted like. But it wouldn't work! You were going to stay loyal to Changbin and-

"Last time you cuddled Innie without me," Hyunjin pouted dramatically. "Care to fix that?"

"Changbin hates it when I cuddle other men," you explained.

"Aw, damn," Hyunjin sounded pretty bummed out about that. You started to feel bad for him. Hyunjin looked like a decent guy who deserved cuddles. But if you agreed to this, it would also mean having to cuddle Jeongin again. And for some reason, you wanted to avoid that. You didn't like how it made you feel. You wanted to forget about it.

"How about a pillow fight?" Jeongin suggested cleverly.

You couldn't say no to that and grabbed the nearest pillow, using it to attack Jeongin's head and take out your frustration with him...on him. However, he was a dangerous opponent and wasted no time going easy on you. Instead, he also took a pillow and hit your belly with it. Hyunjin, the poor angel, decided to stay out of it and not pick a side. Meanwhile, you and Jeongin were at each other's throats like animals. Well...half-animals, anyhow. Soon enough, you felt exhaustion creeping in and Jeongin took advantage of your momentary weakness to grab your wrists tight enough so that you would drop the pillow. You gave in, letting him pull you into a hug. Hyunjin, who had been making out with Jeongin mere minutes ago, seemed confused by the turn of events.

"So greedy," he muttered under his breath and enveloped the three of you into an unexpected group hug. You melted into their embrace, feeling so warm and fuzzy on the inside. "Y/N, you should watch more romcoms. A proper pillow fight inevitably ends in cuddles. Jeongin used that knowledge against you."

"Jeongin doesn't watch romcoms," you scoffed.

"She's right, I don't," Jeongin admitted.

"So, how did you know your suggestion would result in...well, this?" Hyunjin eyed the fox hybrid suspiciously.

"Pure instinct," he grinned wickedly.

Soon enough, you ended up with your head resting in Jeongin's lap, while he was stroking your hair softly, and your legs curled up in Hyunjin's lap, as he was petting your fluffy tail gently. It was so safe and comforting you were starting to doze off when you heard some noise. However, in your sleepy state, you weren't fast enough to jump from the compromising position you'd found yourself in. Again.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" Changbin yelled angrily.

Your eyes flew wide open and you blinked on confusion, scanning your surroundings. Yeah, the fact that Hyunjin and Jeongin were half-naked probably didn't work in your best favour. You gulped anxiously and pushed yourself off the couch and closer to your boyfriend.

"Bin, I swear to you, we were only cuddling. I mean, me with Jeongin and Hyunjin. These two were having a full-blown making out session!"

Great job, Y/N. Rat them out to defend your innocence. You mentally scolded yourself for being so quick to throw your poor cuddle buddies under the bus.

"They were doing WHAT?" For some reason Changbin appeared even angrier. Wait, what?

"Yeah, Jeongin's my boyfriend now! You got a problem with that?" Hyunjin snapped at Changbin.

Hold on a second. Was...Hyunjin trying to make Changbin jealous?! By getting together with Jeongin?! You were so lost right now.

"Since when?" Changbin asked. He was not buying it.

Jeongin was weirdly quiet in the midst of it all.

"Since now," Hyunjin lied.

"Since never," Jeongin denied Hyunjin's words at the same time.

"Get your story straight," Changbin groaned.

"Unlike my sexuality," Hyunjin joked.

"Not the right time, Hyun," Changbin sighed loudly. "I don't care what you two have going on." You'd thought that Changbin would never lie to you. But he just did. He was obviously fuming. And you were pretty sure it had more to do with Hyunjin and Jeongin making out than it did with you cuddling them. Still, he was making an effort to act unbothered, you'd give him that. "But why did you get Y/N involved? She's my girlfriend."

"She came to us willingly," Jeongin, that sly fox, said.

"I told you we were just cuddling," you were starting to tear up. You hated being accused wrongfully. "It's a misunderstanding!"

"I feel so betrayed, you guys should have talked to me first," Changbin was still mad.

You were already sobbing. It was so unfair! Changbin clearly had some unresolved feelings for Hyunjin that needed to be addressed. And yet, he was painting you as the villain? The injustice!

"My silly bunny, can't you see he's messing around?" Jeongin interfered. "He's not actually mad at you."

"Is this true?" you asked Changbin.

"Um, yeah, cupcake. I know you didn't do anything wrong. I told you I trust you, didn't I? I was just making a joke-"

"A joke?" you cried out. "Do you think my feelings are a joke?"

"Of course not, darling. I just said I'm not mad at you."

"Well, good for you. Because I am! I'm mad at both of you!" you turned to Hyunjin, as well.

"What did I do?" Hyunjin blinked in surprise.

"Because no one is mentioning the elephant in the room!" you lifted your arms up in frustration. "Changbin and Hyunjin obviously have feelings for each other and you're both too blind to fucking see it and just talk to each other. And you decided that adopting two unsuspecting hybrids to help you move on would be a brilliant idea. Well, guess what? I'm not a pet."

And with that, you stormed out of the living room, hurried into your own and locked it on the inside.

Hyunjin's POV

Hyunjin had never heard silence so loud and uncomfortable.

"I need some fresh air," Changbin groaned and grabbed his leather jacket. "I'll go out for a bit."

"You should talk to him, like Y/N said," Jeongin suggested to Hyunjin. "Look where not communicating got us all."

"You're right," Hyunjin quickly put on his shirt and hurried outside. He managed to catch up with Changbin and grabbed his wrist before he'd gone too far. Changbin turned around to face Hyunjin. He was still angry. But Hyunjin couldn't help but be attracted to him even more.

"Is it true? What Y/N said..."

"It's true. I've had a crush on you for ages," Hyunjin confessed. It seemed so easy now. Why had it taken him so long? "That's...why I adopted Jeongin and why I made out with him in the living room. I wanted to make you jealous."

"Funny way of showing you have feelings for me, don't you think?" Changbin spat out sarcastically. "You could have just told me. Before I got together with Y/N."

"I know. It's all my fault," Hyunjin looked down in shame.

"It's not entirely your fault. Because I'm such a hypocrite, you know? I'm not angry at Y/N for cuddling you. I'm angry at you for kissing Jeongin."

"Why? You...you can't possibly..." Hyunjin refused to believe it. It seemed too good to be true. And at the same time, it was a tragedy.

"Because I should have kissed you first," Changbin blurted out, lifted himself up on his toes and crashed his lips against Hyunjin's.

Changbin's POV

Changbin knew it was wrong. He knew Y/N deserved better. But his mouth seemed to have a mind of its own, choosing to go after Hyunjin's. He couldn't think straight. Oh, the irony. Changbin pulled Hyunjin's hair aggressively and Hyunjin was generous enough to lower his head even more. He was kissing him back. Thank the universe.

"What will we do?" Hyunjin asked desperately when they finally broke away from each other. "About Y/N and Jeongin..."

"We tell them the truth. It's only fair."

"No more lies," Hyunjin nodded.

"No more lies," Changbin confirmed.

"If we're lucky, they might be willing to share," Hyunjin teased.

"Do you think we deserve that?" Changbin was doubtful. He'd fucked up big time. He wasn't sure he deserved Y/N's forgiveness. He thought he never deserved her in the first place.

"Everyone deserves a second chance," Hyunjin shared his belief. "Even assholes like us."

Changbin chuckled sadly.

"Why are we such fools?" he wondered out loud. "We could have avoided this situation altogether if we'd just talked to each other."

"Y/N was right. Communication is pretty important," Hyunjin pointed out.

"Us men are idiots," Changbin shook his head.

"I couldn't agree more."

Jeongin's POV

Jeongin couldn't bear the sounds of Y/N sobbing. All alone in her room. She didn't deserve that. He had to make it stop.

"Can I come in?" he knocked on her door. "It's just me. Changbin and Hyunjin are out."

He didn't expect her to let him in so easily. She must have felt pretty lonely. Y/N unlocked the door and returned to her bed, still crying.

"Talk to me. Please." Jeongin pleaded but his serious tone suggested he wasn't asking.

"I thought Changbin loved me. Guess I was just deluding myself," she laughed but there was no amusement in her voice.

Jeongin debated whether he should tell her the truth. Changbin did love her. But he also loved Hyunjin. People were complicated like that. But the truth was never on Jeongin's side.

"I warned you humans were only going to hurt you," Jeongin responded coldly.

"Changbin didn't hurt me," Y/N shook her head in denial. "I hurt myself believing I was special."

"But you are special, bun. You have no idea how special you are," Jeongin spoke sincerely.

"I am?" she sniffed in disbelief.

"How can I prove it to you?"

"Just hold me," Y/N begged.

Jeongin pulled her into his arms and squeezed her tightly.

"I'm right here, bunny. You're safe with me," he promised.

"Thank you, Jeongin," she mumbled. "I feel much better already."

"I'll get you some water, you must be pretty dehydrated from all that crying," Jeongin observed.

"That'd be nice."

Jeongin went into the kitchen and poured a glass of water. Then, he took a couple of the sleeping pills Hyunjin had bought from his pocket, crushed them up with a knife and slipped them inside the glass. He used a spoon to make them dissolve quickly. Soon enough, he returned to her room, handing her the glass.

"Thanks," she whispered and gulped the water thirstily without thinking. All of it. Then, suddenly- "I'm exhausted. Will you tuck me in?"

"Of course," Jeongin pulled the blanket on top of Y/N. "All cosy and warm."

"Mmm," she murmured mindlessly, already beginning to doze off.

"Sleep well, bunny," Jeongin smiled devilishly as her consciousness faded into darkness.

I feel like a broken record but the entire episode felt dull and rushed as well as inaccurate.

The Crusty scene added nothing so they might as well have just cut it and shown us the fun entrance to the underworld? Why not show us the recording studio? Why not show the lost souls, the despair? Sure the roots were sad but I don't know, the underworld I imagined was much more haunting and depressing?

Why is Hades just a dude? This was the god where I felt like Percy was the most terrified (as much as he can be), the god that he respected the most? This was the god that Nico also partially feared eventhough it was his dad? This was the god who just can take people like that? This was the god whose realm no one really makes it out of?

Also why the playful hellhound now when we could have had Ms O-Leray?

This episode just felt like the biggest expedition dump yet? Here is a technical brother of Percy whose entire story we will explain, here is everything you need to know about every place by the underworld etc. brought to you by Annabeth, here is Tartarus which will be a huge plot point, here is the twist of the entire first series that we will just randomly drop, here is Percy figuring it all out in seconds etc.

And not to mention that I hate the Sally/Poseidon angle. Just get it off my screen.

I sound like a hater I know but I am so tired of just having everything spelled out like I am a year old with no critical thinking who only sees sunshine etc.

Even the trauma that we saw with Percy questioning why his mother doesn't love him (he felt like that) is overshadowed by this huge revelation that Sally and Poseidon are in love and that actually everything is for ultimately done out of love etc.

It feels like the show only dumps info on you, gives you a nudge towards a deeper issue, a deeper understanding of the characters, their relationship but never dives into it. I wouldn't mind that because I know that logically it might get explored over time with later seasons but the whole "We will drop yet another huge thing that will be picked up later" doesn't work when you have such a rushed timeline and so less minutes of episodes already.

I "saw" Tul Pakorn at NYC Pride 2023 but didn't register it was him because I was 5-10ft behind him and thought "that's a nice white mesh shirt" and later to my eternal chagrin saw him on IG wearing that very same 'nice mesh shirt.' I had to laugh to not cry.

I entered a raffle to meet Yusei and didn't win and so I didn't go back to Japan and later read on twitter he was meeting fans there anyway

fan meets/concerts and goodbye sessions are truly LONG AF!!! Some of them could easily be 10+ hours onsite.

@bengiyo I have told you and @liyazaki the most about my travels - I've already added a few missed memories but lemme know if y'all remember any omissions lmao

at some point, I'm going to need to buy a shelf or two for all the bl merch and pictures I have

Forty Eight. Part 2

St Lucia is so damn beautiful, I am so glad that dad bought us here and it was so last minute even though Rylee keeps texting me that I am a traitor, I am not going to say no to dad when he said that we are going. Also my mom did say she wanted to bond with Rylee, I told her that. I said stop being negative mom wants to make it up to you, she wants to start over but it’s Rylee, she is drama. Her dick appointment is here so she is not happy, which is funny to me. My dad has hired a yacht, I am loving life and I had to post pictures on my story, a little thirst traps and it worked. Taylan messaged me and called me beautiful; I love it. But he is really different, I am liking how he is. He also told me that he wants to take it slow, and that we get to know each other mentally and I was thinking how deep that is. I have never had a guy say he wants to know me mentally and I admitted to him that I did go therapy, he said therapy is good and that it’s good to talk. I told him that growing up was hard even though people see who my parents are and he told me how it was hard for him growing up with brothers that made it quicker then him, I just love the vibe. I love where we are going, facetimes me to the early morning too, I think I have fallen asleep on him a few times but it’s at a good pace, I like this for me, for us. He is different, even though I said how I don’t like Australians, Taylan gets a pass. This what happens when I say I hate something, I end up being with one “since when were you so skinny?” Imani spat “skinny? You mean gym, since like living in hotels I just go to the gym in the morning, I been wanting to work on my ass but I am losing weight, is it good?” Imani nodded her head “your ass does look good too” I grinned “good, I am going to go and get a tan. Just that Rylee is currently going through things, she isn’t settled, she is a little all over and she doesn’t want you to get caught in that. I know what Rylee is like, I did live with her for a few, and she is very much, here take care of Aziel I am going here, I am going there. Friends come over she isn’t there, she had a little party sleep over, she wants to go here and there. I ended up babysitting because she wants to go the club then she comes home, cries about her life. Look, she is just everywhere right now, mom doesn’t want you to be there to just miss life opportunities. It can happen and we as sisters are there for each other, but then you may forget yourself. So if you don’t know what you want to do then you can come to Dubai” I explained “I want to be a singer, I do know what I want and I want to be that. Dad takes me to studio sessions and mom knows this but I said that I want to go London to just learn other things but then I just thought no, I want to start my career as soon as” smiling at her “ok but if your song is wack I will be your biggest hater” Imani chuckled “bitch, but Raihan wants to be a rapper by the way, he has been following Oakley around like a bad smell and is watching and looking at how UK rap is, he wants to be like that, you haven’t seen how he dresses now, mom is just laughing but he is so serious” rolling my eyes “oh brother” this will be funny.

Taking a picture selfie of me but my dad and my brothers are in the background, they are all a shade darker, it’s funny. You can say the word now” Oakley is dark, this man is dark and red, it’s funny “you ain’t funny at all” he laughed “his teeth are so white too” I busted out laughing “jarring, that is what you are. I fell asleep in the sun; I look crazy though I mean my back is white. I need to join you two” he does look crazy “come join the peace gang, we are singing and talking. I mean come, we can talk about the fact you are so skinny, I seen you as a teenager, some old pictures and you were chubby” Oakley is laughing but I was shocked seeing those old pictures of him, he was chubby.

Imani sniggered and it was so random “what is it?” I asked “why do men toes be throwing gang signs” I gasped “Imani, why you looking at his feet” Imani eyeballed me, slapped me for what she said “that is nasty though, you looking at my feet, I actually think they alright you know. Skinny but yeah” Oakley laughed “so how did you go from chubby hamster cheeks to this? It’s crazy, the difference, I didn’t believe it was you at first” he shrugged “I don’t know you know, like as soon as I made it, I just lost the weight. I lost it so quick, and I never put it back on, I am just skinny now. A little too skinny, like people would say I was unwell but yeah” I cooed out “I am joking with you, but you was cute when you was younger, are you missing the demon?” he looked at me confused “Rylee” he chuckled “erm, not so much. I mean yeah, I just don’t know but it’s nice to see St Lucia, it’s beautiful here. Like to just not have her there just in my face about things, peace. I like it” nodding my head “you seem like a guy that likes peace, bit like Imani, she likes her own company a lot of the times. I think we should jump in the water, shall we? Can you swim?” I asked him “erm, a little. Not confident though” I chuckled “I will get you a jacket but come. It’s fun” getting up, he hasn’t jumped from the side of a yacht, it’s so cool.

Rubbing my eye as I stretched out, the time is late, I overslept a little too much. I should have been out of bed by ten, clearing my throat as I tapped on Instagram. I did get a notification that Robyn posted so let me like it before she says I don’t like her anymore; she can still be dramatic like that after all these years. The first thing that popped up was Oakley and his post, squinting my eyes, he has posted his best friend ‘I’m sorry’ he’s still taking it not good, liking the post and then tapping on his story. A picture of Raihan, tapping on the next post and then stopped frowning. Tapping on the video, oh no him reposting a fanpage, Rylee and him had relationship page now. Looking at the caption ‘we miss this’ these relationship fans never make shit any easier, coming out of the post and back on the story and the video played, oh this is a little deep, not the Lewis Capaldi song, he is going through it to be listening to this. Did he actually love Rylee that much, because my daughter is a pain in the ass really. Let me just find Robyn’ post because I want to get out of bed, I stopped midway seeing Wadz comment, raising an eyebrow, he’s telling him to come home. Locking my phone, I need to see Oakley because what is happening with that boy. Placing my feet in the slides, fixing my dick in my sweatpants. Placing my top over my head as I left my bedroom “kids!” I shouted, jogging down the steps “Imani where is Oakley?” I asked, “he left, he never said” oh not that “where?” I asked “Ti said beach” I need to see that boy; I don’t like it really how he is being. He is showing me he is ok, and he isn’t “right, tell Ti that I will be back. I need to just check on Oakley” forget anything, I just want to know that boy is ok, he is under my care too.

I breathed out seeing Oakley, he is there on the beach. Well sat on the beach, he is literally sat in the middle of the beach randomly. Making my way over to him “bro” I said, he looked up at me “where you go? What is really going on?” I am concerned for him “life” he mumbled “I just feel like I can’t do this, he was my best friend, and he rode for me to the end, he rode for me forever. Like he took that for me and I wish he didn’t, it’s my fault that his mom and dad don’t have a son, I have my brother but he was another brother to me like Wadz and he was there always. Protected me, I feel bad. Can’t sleep, just everything. When I had a son he was like watch, I am going to have a mini me too, they going to grow up and I took that from him, me. Why did he do it, why did he get in the way” he is struggling to accept why he did it “Oakley, your friend knew you. He knew the dangers you were in; he probably knew hanging in West was bad. From what I remember of him, he was always targeted because he was tall, a big guy like that so they would target him but I know he was there with you, he was your protector and I know he was worried about you but he appreciated you because you also took them from the ends to luxury. I am telling you now Oakley, in that moment when it broke out, in his mind all he saw was protect you, and I could be wrong but if we could ask him if he regretted it, I don’t think he would at all. He protected you as much as he could because you are his brother” he is just staring off, tears fell from his eyes “I wish he left it really” he mumbled “and you leave Aziel without a dad, and that’s what he didn’t want for you either” I get he is hurting, he wiped his face sniffling “Wadz and him, they both were there when I got kicked out of the home, they been there. I just got to mourn the loss but the more I do the more it hurts, to know I won’t see him because of me, my fault” he shook his head.

He is quiet, crying silently anyways “I am going home, my mom is worried about me and so is Wadz. He worried my mom, so I am going, and I appreciate you trying. But I am going back, I don’t want to be here” nodding my head “that’s fine” I can’t make him stay “but why you post that video up too? That fanpage made?” I asked, he looked at me “it’s true init, the lyrics. I let my guard down and then you pulled the rug” he looked away from me “you know when someone changes you, and then just leaves” licking my lips “you for real love my stupid daughter?” I said it like I am shocked but I am because Rylee is a pain “mhm I do, if you see her, when you do. Tell her, it wasn’t the video it was more about the song, he’s right though. Like lyrically, but yeah. I am slowly but surely just going to hide out and heal, alone” he sniffled “but you wouldn’t?” I said “oh, my mom wouldn’t allow me too. She is saying now that I am putting a persona and it’s going to crash and it did. Only so much you can just give yourself to someone and just for them to use you and you know, I usually would like the thrill but I am in the space where I don’t want that, but yeah. I appreciate it, that you listened to me but least you know from me, that it was real and yeah” he laughed “she really pulled the rug once I fell and that song really explains it all, but thank you” nodding my head, I don’t want to push him to anything, I tried but he is in a dark space “I’ve been in a dark place and it’s a horrible place but just remember that you do have people that love you, and if anything, you got Aziel and he will want his dad” I hope he takes that in and realises his son needs him.

Actually, I have wanted to discuss this for a long time, but due to your lack of interest in My Hero Academia, I always put it off.

I'm Deku x Bakugo shipper, due to accidentally reading Fan Fiction (Ha, ha, ha... yes, I'm a sinner).

But when I read the original My Hero Academia written by Horikoshi, no matter how hard I tried to find something to prove that there was something romantic about Deku and Bagukou's relationship, the result was nothing.

Shipper Fandom has always made a parallel between the relationship between Deku x Bakugou and Naruto x Sasuke. I can't deny that parallels exist. But that doesn't mean the Deku x Bagukou relationship is in a romantic sense like Naruto x Sasuke, more because Hirokoshi imitated how Kishimoto wrote the Naruto x Sasuke relationship into Deku x Bakugou relationship.

Either it's because Hirokoshi can't write down the relationship between the same sex or it's a parallel that he deliberately made to only use as bait. I saw the similarities between the two only on the surface, not deep and made me believe, that there really is something between Deku x Bakugou which is called as love.

It's different when Shipper Fandom discusses the relationship between Naruto x Sasuke (Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto), Kurogane x Fye (Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE by CLAMP) or Guts x Griffin (Berserk by Kentaro Miura). What the shipper fandom said about the existence of a special relationship between them (read: homoerotic), I also found in the original story.

Many people, even Naruto x Sasuke/Sasuke x Naruto shipper, said that Kishimoto was only using the Naruto x Sasuke relationship as a bait and absolutely nothing had happened between them.

I think that's one of the biggest misunderstandings in the Naruto fandom. Because very clearly Naruto is a romance story between Naruto and Sasuke with a tragic ending. Just like the film, Your Name Engraved Herein. Where both of them separated and were forced to marry the opposite sex due to many reasons (In Naruto due to Publishing, Fandom, Anime Studio and Sequel. Hahaha .... ) Although personally, I think Naruto ends in chapter 698 and maybe added with Sasuke monologue at the end of 699.

But if someone said that the Deku x Bakugo relationship was just a bait, I would answer; Yes. Even though I'm a Deku x Bakugo Shipper. I can't make something that's not in the original work just to convince people that the ship I like is real.

Then, a little off the mark but still has a topic related. I want to discuss about the Naruto Fandom who really likes to make Sakura a Lesbian.

I think it's more or less because Tomoyo (in the Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE) who is a lesbian, doesn't get any harsh treatment at all, even being treated like a goddess by Kurogane x Fye Shipper. That's why many people make Sakura who is very heterosexual as a lesbian, without realizing that what makes Tomoyo liked is not because she is a lesbian.

If for example Tomoyo is heterosexual or bisexual without removing the special bond that exists between Tomoyo and Kurogane as there is, I'm sure Kurogane x Fye Shipper will still like Tomoyo. Because what makes people like Tomoyo is not because of her orientation, but because of her character and attitude.

For example Casca (in Berserk), I've never seen Guts x Griffin Shipper say anything bad about Casca. Although Casca actually likes both Guts and Griffin.

So I find it funny when someone says people hate Sakura because she is in between Naruto and Sasuke relationship.

(Let me laugh for a moment)

As you always say; Sakura wasn't even between Naruto and Sasuke.

Sakura does not have a strong bond with either Naruto or Sasuke. Unlike Tomoyo who is Kurogane's savior and pulls him from the darkness, also Casca who is also loved by Guts and trusted by Griffin.

Why did Sakura's defenders never accept that people didn't like Sakura because of her personality? Instead of pointing out that Sakura haters are misogynists.

Sakura is someone who has a bad character. I know a lot of people say that Sakura is like that because Kishimoto is bad at writing her character. I do not agree. Because Sakura is one of the characters that Kishimoto writes well and consistent, even more than Itachi.

I don't hate Itachi's character at all, but he is a character that Kishimoto wrote badly. Due to the many inconsistencies and contradictions, plus Kishimoto played a cheap trick I call "Make them pathetic to gain sympathy" by making Itachi a Fallen Hero.

Ironically, Itachi was lined up as a character that Kishimoto wrote well by Naruto fans.

(Again, let me laugh).

You don't even know this is my new favorite ask.

Let me make one thing clear; I'm not against people shipping Bakugo and Deku or any other bnha ship. I just don't like when it's compared to Naruto and Sasuke because they're NOT the same. It's also bad when people act like the individual characters are the same. Sasuke is nothing like Bakugo, for example. (Also I'm sorry about being lazy about bnha, I'm a little bit behind in it.)

Also Sakura was always supposed to be a shallow and insensitive character. It's as if people act like removing most of her character is an act of feminism, when that's pretty much indirectly admitting they don't like the character either. By the way you make a good point about Casca, I don't see hate for her either, because she isn't annoying like Sakura. Sakura stans just want to act like Sakura has enough relevance to "come between" the boys when Kishimoto made her so irrelevant to Sasuke especially in part 2. As for Naruto, he rejected her confession and wasn't even heartbroken she was lying to him. She's just not relevant, neither to the story nor the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke.

Choi Jongho.

Jongho was sitting on the floor watching a movie with the rest of the boys scattered around the living room, he was still salty because he couldn’t spend the day with you, but unfortunately your roommate found out that her boyfriend cheated on her and you wanted to be there for her. So, when he saw the facetime call from you, he jumped accepting the call smiling when he saw your face.

he likes that he can come to you for advice whenever he needs to come up with beats or lines for his own raps

if you make some beats for him for a competition, he would be eternally grateful and would see that as such a personal, nice gift

overall, he’s just going to be extremely supportive of your career and always want to be kept up to date

Sasara Nurude

since Sasara is already pretty famous, he adores the fact that you’re a successful DJ

the press absolutely loves the two of you and everyone in the world ships your relationship

there are always a couple of haters, but you and Sasara support each other to make sure that you both stay positive

whenever the two of you are on dates, he’s always asking you when you’re dropping your next song

he definitely feels smug and special that he gets to date you while all of your other fans only get your music

he’s constantly showing you off and bragging to all of his friends about how amazing and successful you are

although to him, you could have two fans and he would still think you’re the greatest DJ ever

when I say he’s your biggest fan I mean he’s your biggest fan

he has all of the songs you’ve ever made on every type of medium available - online, CDs, vinyls, live DVDs, and everything in between

if you get him tickets to your show, he’s immediately RSVPing and you can bet he’ll be there, turning up hard

one time he dragged Rosho and it was hilarious to see Sasara attempting to get Rosho to start a mosh pit

he always leaves a little bit early though, or as soon as he’s recognized because he never wants to pull the attention away from you

I can see Sasara really liking fast-paced beats and songs that are really cohesive and upbeat

regardless of the type of music you make though, he’s going to beg you to help him make beats for his rap battles

I can imagine a date with you and him just sitting in a recording studio playing around with words and beats

whenever he goes on talk shows for his comedy, he always manages to sneak your name into it and promote you

your brand managers admitted that it was honestly the best advertising you could hope for

Stray Cats and OWL6

This blogger’s brain cells are so fried that they’ve now resorted to puns

sO THEY’RE BOTH UNDER TOKYO IDOLS AND THEY’RE REALLY AMAZING GROUPS AND THEIR TALENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHITTY GROUP NAMES

anyway so it was set up by Nekomata and they’ve been pretty good at producing groups over the years but their biggest hits have been their two recent groups

both of them actually started at the same time but they work with quite different concepts and have different dynamics

but they tend to collab and interact with each other a lot which the fans love

so lets get into the groups

Stray Cats - Nekoma

their leader is Kuroo ofc and they work with a lot of bad boy/edgy concepts and their music is more on the hip-hop and R&B side

a lot of their music videos and outfits are in the black-and-white with pops of red, blue, and yellow

you think the fans would get tired of seeing them in matching suits and leather jackets but no

anyway, Kuroo’s they’re leader who’s also main rapper, dancer, and visuals

he actually started out as a vocalist but since Stray Cats was going to be more of a hip-hop group he eventually picked up rapping (although those who have Deeply Analyzed the backing vocals for some of their tracks claim that Kuroo’s vocals will save the world)

his dancing looks super fluid and natural because he also tried ballet dancing at one point

sometimes he films himself practicing and shows off by wearing stilettos and not once tripping over himself

kai and yaku were his fellow trainees and just like in the manga, kuroo and yaku did not get along and kai had to be there to make sure no one died

kuroo and yaku were quite competitive with their dancing but eventually they realized that the fans loved their dynamic during their dances and worked together for once

their choreos almost always involve someone carrying yaku on their shoulders

he’s also another main rapper and he’s really good at a variety of styles

he’s also the mom of the group and likes to check on everyone before going live

the one who trains the more inexperienced members with their choreography and while he’s very much a perfectionist, he’s also the one who reassures them when they make a mistake on a live stage

kai is actually the genius behind most of their songs because his producer skills are mad crazy he’s been invited to collab with so many other artists (including the wonderful Kiyoko-san)

kuroo and yaku have no idea what goes on in his head but it’s probably music

they always make sure that kai gets enough sleep and is eating right when he’s working on an album

his dancing is pretty solid but he’s more well-known for being a main rapper and his smooth, sultry voice during the chorus that gives everyone eargasms

next we have kenma who’s one of the few main vocalists of the group

his voice is a nice tenor and he can hit a good amount of the high notes

can harmonize like it’s nobody’s business

he and kuroo had been friends since they were practically born and while kuroo dreamed of becoming a music idol onstage, kenma was more interested in songwriting and producing music

he joined Tokyo Idols for the opportunity to be a producer but Nekomata was like ‘why not be an idol?’ and kenma was like ‘no, I’ll have to dance’

he was then persuaded by kuroo and kenma decided to do some vocal training to make up for not wanting to move around so much

so, most of the time, he’s in the back and during his turn in the chorus he’ll make a bit of an appearance

he has done a few live solo performances but he’s playing the piano in them so he doesn’t have to look at the audience so much

he loves working with kai in the studio more than anything

doesn’t have a social media account because he doesn’t want to see how the fans talk about him (they mostly say good stuff though!)

now we have taketora who’s the main rapper of the group as well

this guy is an expert beatboxer and he does a very good job of hyping up the crowd

his rap is the kind that even fires up his teammates and they always let him know that he did a good job after every performance

he actually has a good amount of tattoos on his arms and he used to cover them with long-sleeves but the fans love them arms and the tattoos even more so

Taketora was super flattered but okay with it

Fukunaga is another main vocalist and he has a very deep voice that blends really well with his fellow vocalists

His voice doesn’t stand out that much and he doesn’t have a lot of solos but Stray Cats’ specialty is really blending their vocals (aside from their rappers and dancers)

And you can also definitely notice a difference when Fukunaga isn’t singing a part

He’s also the kind of dancer who does a lot of cartwheel and flip-like stunts that come in during the dance breaks

Has this habit of staring blankly in the distance during group interviews and fans make memes using his face

He also likes messing with his senpai’s but they all blame lev and don’t suspect a thing with Fukunaga (well, that’s until he posts the video)

Lastly, we have lev who is the youngest among all of them and also main vocalist and visuals

He has a nice baritone voice and he does most of the singing in the chorus but tends to get a bit lost when Fukunaga and Kenma come in

A lot of his time is spent practicing how to not get lost when people are harmonizing with him, especially since that’s what Stray Cat’s known for

He actually came in a bit late, like after the group had its first debut since they felt like they needed another vocalist

Lev also has a natural talent when it comes to dancing so Nekomata added him to the group

It was a bit difficult integrating him into the group but he also added onto the overall chemistry as the baby of the group

As much as they know he makes mistakes, his senpais always congratulate Lev on how far he’s come

No one wants to admit that he gets handsomer by the day because it will add to his ego but the fans do enough of that

OWL6 - fukurodani

They only have four members (because idk a lot about all the members and I also wanted to have like a four-person group)

JUST BECAUSE THERE’S A NUMBER 6 IN THE NAME OF THE GROUP DOESN’T MEAN THAT’S HOW MANY MEMBERS THERE ARE *glares at SEVENTEEN* *also I ended up looking up how many members there are in Day6 and now I feel bad I’m sorry day6 fans*

aNYWAY

They’re a very small group since Tokyo Idol wanted to try out having a four-person group

They don’t really have a singular kind of aesthetic or style like Stray Cats does but work with a variety of them

They do a good number of lively pop songs as well as ballads for the b-side tracks

They’re also made up of four vocalists, two of which also know how to rap, and are overall pretty solid

Bokuto’s their leader (even though its mostly Akaashi who holds the group together) but he speaks a lot for the group during interviews

He’s main vocalist, main dancer, and also main visual

His stage presence is astounding especially with his natural talent for dancing and his stamina is endless

He can sing really well even busting out the hardest dance moves

Although he’s unquestionably talented, he does get hit hard by online haters and will shut himself in the dance studio to practice until everyone drags him out

He’s super endearing and sweet around his fans, he’ll remember a fan that he saw more than once and send letters in response to fanmail

Bokuto’s known for being super clumsy though and he has destroyed a mic or his clothes or someone else’s clothes more than once

Once tripped on the way when OWL6 was about to receive an award

Sarukui is another main vocalist and rapper

His voice is quite deep but it sounds really melodic and unique that anyone could tell when he’s singing

Also knows a thing or two about music production and has helped produce a few of their tracks

He’s the one assigned to saying ‘That’s our leader!’ to Bokuto when he’s feeling down

Also responsible for the ‘Bokuto and Akaashi are dating’ prank on Twitter that became a whole thing

A shitposter, basically

Konoha Akinori is once again our jack of all trades, especially since he’s rapper, dancer, vocalist, and visuals

I would say that his back hurts from carrying OWL6 but each member knows how to hold their own

His back just hurts from curling up like a shrimp when he’s asleep

He gets a lot of lines because of this and fans love it when he leads the dance breaks, that being said he’s also tired all the time

Konoha has fallen asleep in interviews more than once and Sarukui takes the pictures of him

Because of his jack of all trades nature he also has a lot of weird, random talents that he likes to showcase in variety shows

These weird talents range from being able to name all of the countries in Europe backwards to being able to make a slingshot using his feet and a rubber band

It’s always something new with him

Everyone cheers him on except for Akaashi who’s soul has left his body

And last but definitely not the least, we have the youngest in the group, Akaashi, who’s also main vocals and visual

Everyone in OWL6 agree that Akaashi is the prettiest among them

He also has such a sweet and beautiful voice that gives everyone eargasms

Sometimes everyone has to stop dancing during practice whenever they hear Akaashi sing

He also does a lot of vocal covers that he posts online and has released a few solo albums since he’s always working on making new music

Although everyone knows that he’d also do really well as a solo artist, Akaashi knows that his members were the reason why he wanted to debut in the first place and it just wouldn’t be the same without them

Extra HC’s for Stray Cats and OWL6

Kuroo and Bokuto have been friends since their trainee years and even though they were disappointed about not debuting in the same group they agreed to collab on a lot of things

During award shows they like to have a performance together, most often a dance cover, until Akaashi and Kenma decided to help out by writing a song for the two of them to perform

The members of both groups like to sneak into each other’s dorms because the more the merrier and they share and order food

Yaku and Kai actually like staying in the OWL6 dorms more because its quieter (since Lev and Tora aren’t there) but change their mind when they see Bokuto

Eventually they divided the dorms into ‘the quiet people’ and ‘the noisy people’

Both of the groups love doing those Halloween performances and dressing up really scary with the same level of production and everything

None of those cutesy costumes, Fukunaga will straight up come in a headless man costume and Sarukui brings a fake chainsaw with him

Some of them like to do really weird costumes though like Lev dressing up as a bottle of vodka and Konoha coming in dressed as Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street

Sometimes the fans just don’t know what goes on in their heads

Kai tends to get a lot of awards for his producing skills but the first time he did Stray Cats came onstage with him and basically cried all around him while Kai tried to do his speech

They also like to mess around in the comments section when another group is doing a VLive

For example, Kuroo commented ‘send feet pics’ during one of OWL6’s lives and Bokuto retaliated by uploading the ugly selfies that Kuroo takes on his phone

They also either make up the fanchants or memorize each other’s fanchants for the songs

Yahaba, watching Stray Cats doing the fanchant for OWL6′s song: why can’t we be like that?

F**kin' Diabolical (Chapter One)

Master List

Pairing: Homelander / Original Female Character, Billy Butcher / Original Female Character

Rating: M (Strong language, sexual themes)

Decription: Carly Danvers is a reporter/radio show host/annoying little piece of- For reasons unknown to Vought, she decided to start a one man investigation on Vought's operation. Her efforts had been quite successful so far, so much so that Stillwell would have done anything to see the young girl dead. Turns out Stillwell didn't have to do anything at all, while one piece of evidence against Vought causes Danvers to fly too close to the sun. And Homelander flies after her.

Notes: Carly Danvers is basically a play on Kara Danvers, A.K.A. Supergirl. Except my own take on it.

The hard part wasn't getting in, any idiot would know that, the hard part was getting out. For as fortified as the building was, she didn't really need much to bypass the security. They were used to pretty girls strutting themselves into the building, either for the Deep, or for an expo. Which these reasons often explained such an occurrence, and in this case, an expo was scheduled for the next three hours, a gala afterwards, pretty girls were in high demand for these events.

Her taking a walk through the main lobby of the building didn't go unnoticed, but it was long ignored after she 'accidentally' stumbled into the nearest security guard, mumbling something about the bathroom. With her head down she entered a small crowd of businessmen and women, making their way into the elevator. She would soon get off on a different floor, nobody would ask questions as they moved higher up the building's ladder. Corporate on top, Heroes on top, lobby on the bottom, events and offices all in between; marketing, studios, etc.

Of course, she was the last to exit. Stillwell's office was on the top floor, along with the board room, the helipad and the apartment style living quarters for the Seven. Carly wasn't by any means nervous, she had infiltrated Vought before and her failures didn't deter her from doing so. Her one drive, that Vought was a bunch of liars, that the Seven were as corrupt as anybody could be. She despised that they were lauded, hated that they got away with crimes normal individuals would otherwise not get away with. Supes had issues. She, as a reporter, wanted everyone to know. For years she had been slithering her way around Vought, capturing evidence, posting it online, getting eye witness testimonies, publishing it. She had grown a small base around the facts, that Vought wasn't all that great, but it wasn't enough. It was never enough. Her biggest accomplishment was just around the corner, a surprise interview with Madelyn Stillwell herself, a chance to finally get the answers she wanted.

She snuck her way out of the elevator as proud of herself as ever for making it this far, usually she was ransacked on her way through the double doors of the tower. She smugly made her way down the hall, taking glances at the obnoxious photo shots of the Seven hung up on the wall. She was so close too, if only she had been more vigilant. Even being vigilant though wouldn't have aided her mission.

Within seconds she was being slammed harshly up against the wall, a hand at her throat was all it really took. She kept herself calm, and unafraid, knowing that if she moved wrong the man before her could crack her neck with his pinky alone. His grin pierced her soul, and she soon returned it with her own grin, which only suited to make the Homelander more intrigued. His hands fell flat against the wall, on either side of her, barring her in with those thick sheets of muscle and superhuman power.

"Oh Carly, Carly," He taunted, one of his fingers brushing away the blonde strands that fell out before her face. She peered confidently into his steely gaze with her own brilliantly blue eyes. "Don't we have a restraining order on you?"

"Actually..." She piped in, with a tone as condescending as his own. She reached down into her jean pocket and retrieved a security card, from the guard she bumped into earlier. "I am not Carly today."

"Oh, of course," He chuckled, reaching down and inspecting the photo on the id. "Indeed, so you are Gary, is that correct?" He returned his hands to either side of her head, grinning at her, hoping to make her all the more inferior. But Carly's blood pressure never even so much as peaked and her heart rate was always the same as it had been before his presence was known. He never understood how she, compared to so many, remained so kempt under his sterling supervision. "A middle aged white man, that weighs over three hundred pounds?" She nodded her head, giggled a bit and he licked his lips.

"Exactly." Homelander rolled his eyes, haphazardly tossing the card over his shoulder.

"Seriously though, you shouldn't be here, its against the rules." His expression dropped into a stoic glare, but his eyes continued to intensely run up and down her body, almost hungry, hungry for something he could never have.

"When have you ever known me as someone who follows the rules?"

"That's a fair point." He nodded his head, "but seriously," He deadpanned. "I could kill you right now for trespassing, couldn't I? And it would be reasonable as you were the one breaking the law, wouldn't it?" She didn't react, which at times annoyed him, but he wouldn't give her the benefit of knowing that. He much rather preferred the playful banter to be honest, it made things so much more interesting for him.

"You aren't going to kill me, Homelander. It would look bad on Vought's part, wouldn't you agree?" She leaned in closer to his body, knowing she was playing with fire, hands pressing against the somewhat unrealistic pectoral muscles of his suit. "One of Vought's greatest enemies on the opposition, disappears after finding themselves in Vought's tower." Homelander glanced back and forth, up and down the hallway, as if he himself wouldn't hear the footsteps of an oncoming bystander from a mile away. "Oh, Homelander, does your dick cup need adjusting, or are you just happy to see me?"

"That's enough, citizen." He snarled between clenched teeth, shoving her back against the wall and she sighed her irritation with the whole situstion. She got so close to getting that interview, only a few steps away.

For a moment, she wondered why he was always so gentle with her. Obviously he was never slamming her up against the wall, or pushing her around at his fullest capacity, she was grateful for that. At the same time, it did hurt, he had left bruises on her arm before, he had nearly broken her wrist once. None of this was anything new, she had been between Homelander and a wall many times before. It seemed to be his favorite way of addressing her, but she could never tell. Homelander's intimidation tactics had stopped working months ago, so Stillwell had resorted to just discrediting Carly, ignoring her, but Carly was still determined.

"Urgh, I just wanted an interview with Stillwell."

"How did you even get in the building, huh?" He gave her some space, surprisingly, taking a step back and interlocking his hands behind his back. She crossed her arms and leaned on her hips, staring him down.

"How else do people enter this building? I walked in."

"Hmm, those fucking idiots." Homelander mumbled under his breath, making his way back towards the elevator. He expected her to follow close behind and she did. If she didn't it would be pointless, he would catch her and most likely carry her to the elevator as if she were a piece of paper.

"To be fair, they did suspect me at first but I'm just so pretty, ya'know?" He snorted at her remark and stopped at the elevator door, pressing the button and then tilting his head down over at her tiny self.

"Next time, it won't be so easy." The elevator dinged and the doors opened, Homelander smiled at her.

"I still will find a way, Homelander." She backpeddled into the elevator and he winked at her.

"I'm sure you will, Ms. Danvers, you always do."

"And you waiting for me on the other side, always makes it better, doesn't it?" He ignored that question as the doors closed shut, his smile falling into a grimace.

"Its not like that." He explained, turning to face an authoritative Ms.Stillwell, who had been patiently waiting for him to finish his conversation with Carly.

"Sure its not, no matter how many times I ask you to get rid of her, you let her go every goddamned time." Stillwell stomped past him, her perfume wafting into his super senses and he sighed.

"Fuck." The human had made him soft, that was a fact, and Stillwell knew it as well as he did.

"Hello! My lovely diabolical hero haters, my name is Carly Danvers and we are here for my favorite segment on the show, 'Not so Super Superheroes'." An applaud from a fake audience, a foghorn blasted out loud and she exploded with laughter. She adjusted the mic towards her, along the headseat on her head. "So anyways, I have this guy that's been trying to get on my radio show for legit months now. I was advised not to allow it, but he brings some interesting superhero fallacies to the table. Without further a due, I introduce Doctor Miles Porter. Miles, how are you doing today?"

"I'm doing good, Carly. Fantastic actually."

"That's good to hear, so are you an actual doctor, or what?"

"Yes, actually, I have a PhD in Chemistry."

"Wow, very interesting, and you are a hero hater just like us?"

"Actually no, but I had a recent falling out with my job under Vought so I decided nows a good time as any to become one."

"Oh, alrighty then, this is perfect timing by the way. I heard you know a little about this conspiracy with the blue dope, would you like to elaborate?"

"Well, its not 'blue dope', its a compound..."

"JESSICA! Get your ass in here, right now." Stillwell shouted, hands clenched into fists at her sides as the one named Miles Porter further explained the elements of Compound V over a Live radio station.

"Uh sure, doc, but with all due respect I don't believe in that mumbo jumbo. Do you Allen?"

Stillwell exhaled a breath of relief for a moment, taking the file on Miles Porter from Jessica's trembling hands.

"Nope, not one bit, Carly." Allen was Carly's partner in crime so to speak, they had been friends since childhood.

"I mean, there are notable studies on evolution that completely debunk the blue dope conspriacy."

"Those studies are falsified by Vought, they just want us to think that heroes are natural so they can continue to profit off of them. Do you really think that you are just gonna spout powers out right now?"

"No, that's a bunch of bs, doc, and you know it. Evolution doesn't work like that. I'm just saying, a few generations from now all of us might have super powers. Who knows?"

"You're supposed to be a hero hater!" The doctor exclaimed.

"Now you listen, and you listen well. I never said I hate heroes because they were birthed from some stupid conspiracy juice. I said I hate them because of the shit they do, they don't apply themselves to the law. We don't need heroes like that."

"Well, at least she isn't feeding into the Compound V, scandal." A voice sounded out from behind Stillwell, she physically flinched and then turned to face Homelander. She flattened her pencil skirt as she did so, then waltzed over to her desk, the radio still playing in the background.

"Her following is quite strong, not enough but strong, and just the fact that its being talked about is despicable."

"Homelander is cool though." Carly said, Stillwell rolled her eyes and Homelander grinned.

"Yeah, I knew she'd say something along those lines." Homelander chuckled, Carly was an amusing blood bag that's for sure. He knew one day he'd probably have to kill her, but for now he will let her live. Stillwell can't control every aspect of Homelander's decisions.

"Oh hell yeah, Homelander is cool." Allen agreed, Stillwell nodded to Jessica, who was standing idly off to the side, to turn the radio off.

"Let's ask some of our listeners what they think, we've got father of two, Joe here. Hey Joe, what do you think about the blue-"

"And that's a wrap for us today on, The Not So Super Superheroes segment, thanks to everyone for tuning in. Don't forget to say sassy and hate heroes." Carly harshly threw her headseat off her head as soon as the 'On Air' light flashed off.

"Geez, man, you got so angry." She snapped at Doctor Miles, sitting comfortably in the seat across from her.

"Look, I thought this show would have been a good platform to release such information."

"I'm a girl about facts, ask Allen." Allen scratched his matted beard and nodded his head, "You embarrassed me, doc, and I don't take that lightly." She stood up, grabbing her papers and then moved to leave the room. Allen followed, only for them both to be stopped at the door.

"Wait!" The Doctor scrambled to his feet with a sigh, "I will show you! I can show you!" No one could hear them on the other side, the room was fairly sound proof when nobody was on air. The other employees tidied up, went over takes and funny sounds to use in tomorrow's segment on the Deep and his fish friends.

"I thought you were fired." Allen's dull voice reminded, the Doctor nodded his head.

"I was, but I am sure they haven't changed my card access, yet. I can take you to one of their labs-"

"No, thanks dude, you're crazy," Allen answered, turning into Carly, who was still standing solid at the door. He narrowed his eyes at Carly's face, thoughtful, curious. "No, Carly."

"It wouldn't hurt, Allen. Besides, whether he's telling the truth or not, getting into one of Voughts labs, what a story that is."

"Yes, exactly," The doctor snorted nervously, "I can show you everything you want to see."

Let’s talk about quarantine streams and smartass fans

This might piss off some people, but I’ve had it so here we go...these past 2 months have been hard for pretty much all of us and the fact some visual kei artists chose to not leave us alone during this time means a lot. Several of them did their part in their own way and we should all be thankful BUT still, some fans of some bands seem to find it soooo fuckin hard to not throw poison, even during a time like this, and instead of just being happy about their bands being there for them, compare bands to theirs and belittle the effort of everyone else. So I felt like sharing what I noticed from other bands to enlighten some narrowminded fans and also to clear some things up. I am not going to cut this, this will be a long-ass post so you’ve been warned.

So let’s start with the two of the biggest names in the industry shall we?

The Gazette: Many of the Gazette’s fans are disappointed because the band hasn’t been around during this whole time, and many Dir en Grey fans feel like it’s the perfect time to post things like “Where’s your band now?“ or “Gazette who?“. For your information, Reita, Kai and Aoi have been around too, just not as much as other band members. They check on us. And anyway the other day that Reita tried to share an opinion on people sending hate to artists and generally other people, many fans attacked him. He didn’t tell you not to tell your opinion, people, he just said it’s good to filter your fuckin tongue before talking. Did anyone of you think, even for just one second, that he said that because of what’s going around about them right now? And at the end of the day none of the artists who even did spend sometime with us owed us this. Yes we support them, we buy their stuff etc etc, but the only thing artists owe us back for that support is more music and art, not spending their free time with us, nor being our personal psychologists. So yes, please and I mean that, by all means show your gratitude to those who did that these days, but don’t attack bands who didn’t. And I don’t mean JUST the Gazette. Many more bands didn’t do the whole free lives & broadcast thingy, but since they are a big name, they are getting named the most. About Ruki now. I see people saying things like, oh Ruki is hibernating etc, when many fans were yearning for a new album. Personally I wouldn’t be surprised if when the whole quarantine is over, the Gazette will announce a new album. How do you know he is just staying inside doing nth? How do you know he is not caring for his own people or even working on new stuff around the very subject of the virus? I won’t speak about Uruha cause Uruha isn’t a fan of social media in general.

Dir en Grey: Dir en Grey is one of the bands that actually did a lot to stay by the side of their fans from early on during the quarantine, sth which filled their fans with joy. So I don’t understand why their fans then felt the need to start spreading hate to other bands, I really don’t. Dir en Grey were also one of the first bands that did a free live and in a huge arena like it was a full-scale show. I found that really remarkable and I was like whoa this is so amazing of them. But seeing their fans say things like “oh no other band does that, bitches“ etc, made me not care so much and overshadowed their kindness with hate and fans who really don’t deserve all that, in my opinion. I am not saying all fans are like that, in any way, I follow so many amazing Dir en Grey fans who are genuinely exhilarated about what they did and who just post about their happiness without hating on others, but yeah it’s really such a big shame to see the dark side of their fandom. Every fandom has a dark side but during this quarantine I got to see Dir en Grey’s one, as I am only familiar with the fandoms I myself am in. So for those bitter Dir en Grey fans I got one thing to say: not every band has their money to make such a show in such a big arena and hundreds more vkei artist actually stayed by their fans side during the whole quarantine. Shocking I know.

And now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about bands that were there too from home:

Kaya: Since the beginning of quarantine, Kaya has been online all the time, interacting with fans, doing various broadcasts, dolled up or casual, and telling everyone we are fighting this together and that he will be on our side no matter what. He’s been showering fans with love, he uploaded videoclips that hadn’t been uploaded so far on his youtube and some songs live. He is going through all kinds of things from fanarts to comments about anything and does so many broadcasts that I have lost count.

REIGN: Even though the band is disbanding at the end of May, during the whole quarantine, all four members have been twitcasting from time to time, with Ikuma being the overdoer as he streamed from 3-4 hours every few days, discussing about various subjects with fans. Even when they weren’t twitcasting, all REIGN members were on twitter, posting and being there for their fans. They also joined a 3-man live with Grimoire and Sick2′s side project at the beginning of the quarantine which they broadcasted for free. The live house wasn’t very big but it was good enough for the three bands performing and they also answered comments until the people working at the live house told them it was time to close for the night

D: D were more active for their paying fandom, but they sure didn’t leave those not belonging in their vip list hanging. They were on twitter the whole time, sharing videos of themselves playing music and even joining tag games that spread among vkei artists during the quarantine to pass their time, urging everyone to stay inside and stay safe. Also, Asagi took an active part in providing for charity during such times. Before the pandemic was announced it had already been decided D were working on a charity single that would send some of the earnings to Australia for the damage of the forest fires last year and, after this was done, he focused on providing money for live houses who were threatened to close due to lack of activity through a single that was written for everyone to know they are not alone. In case you haven’t heard, many live houses hosting vkei shows have been closing the last few years, making it harder for bands to find sometime during each week to perform somewhere. Once live houses are done, so will visual kei artists be, unless they of course turn to online performances. So Asagi focused on providing for the future of the live scene, which was very smart move at the moment and if I remember well some money went to providing people with more masks too. There is a new charity streaming happening at the moment for children, btw.

GLAY: GLAY donated 10 million yen and 5000 masks to medical institutions for COVID-19 relief. Need I say more? GLAY have also been active on their social media for their fans’ sake. I don’t know any more details, cause I don’t follow them that much, but they did things not only for their fans but also for their country.

Kamijo: Kamijo has also being active on social media but moreso lately, starting his own broadcasts to interact with fans. Until that point it seemed that he was working on various things and organizing them to have the form they have now. Kamijo also changed the lyrics of the lead song of his latest single Persona Grata so that the enemy mentioned in it is more of an invisible one instead of a story-focused one like he usually does. According to him, he did that so that the song can work as a hope provider against our current invisible enemy, the virus. He said he wanted to lift people’s spirits and use this song to spread hope, so he made that little change and let me tell you, it is an amazing and powerful ballad. Also, since some if not all shippings have been ceased at the moment, Kamijo uploaded the whole single on his youtube channel for free so that everyone can listen to it and hopefully find some strength to keep believing and maybe get lost in it and forget about the general chaos a little.

Gackt: No, I don’t want to hear it. If you are his haters and haven’t even tried to read or experience what he does for his fans, don’t bother coming for me. Gackt has already been trying to share funny moments with his fans and he hopes he does make it with that, through his instagram and youtube so I wasn’t surprised he kept doing that during quarantine. Last week, he uploaded all his live shows on youtube so that his fans can watch them during quarantine if they wish. He couldn’t provide us with a show during such days so he did give us every show he has done so far for free and so that we could enjoy a show from home. He also kept doing workouts to show us, encouraging us to stay inside and be hopeful and mindful of the people around us. He also started some accent lessons in English for Japanese fans, but I guess even that would be cringy to some of you so you will pass it like that. He’s been trying to spread laughter to his fans and I really appreciate that. And for the hate he got even for that, well, if you don’t like his humor, focus on your favorites and leave him and his fans be. :)

Sui/David: Sui had a performance arranged for Paris around this time but due to the pandemic, he couldn’t make it. He had even fundraised about it so he was really saddened he couldn’t make it. To make up for it, though, he went to a studio with just another person and performed for both his Paris and other fans live with a single phone recording. The studio was really small and, some of you might think oh well big deal, it was just one person, but the place was stuffed with furniture and equipment and on top of that, Sui isn’t very tiny, he is like 1,82 cm so, it was hard for him to move around. But yeah he still tried, he came all dressed up in his costume and even though there were no special effects, good lighting nor a band with him, he did his best to entertain his fans and I respect that. And I also had a good time. ^^ He had prepared enough songs only for 30 minutes that are given for free from twitcast as, obviously he didn’t expect many people to show up nor send him coins (points on twitcast to prolong broadcast) so after that, he cheerfully accepted to keep this going for 30 more minutes, singing a song one more time, then talking with us and closing his show with a Malice Mizer cover of Ma Chérie.

BPR bands: Well all BPR bands have taken over youtube the last one year, but even more so now, the bands kept posting videos to entertain the fans. They also did broadcasts in which they talked with other members online and also interacted with fans. I only follow Kiryu on twitter so I can’t speak for everyone but they sure continued being active on twitter on days like these and joke around to spread some laughs.

Alice Nine: Another band that has been online the whole time these days and broadcasting often. Tora has been taking his gaming channel very seriously these days and yes he has an option to tip him if you want, in fact several vkei artists do that because, like I said, not everyone has the money to survive without working these days, especially artists who can’t really sell their art at the moment, but his youtube lives are free, entertaining and a good company if you are feeling alone. He posts a new video every day or every two days, if sth comes up. Hiroto already had a radio show so I think he keeps going there, I haven’t checked, I’ve only seen his twitcasts but yes all the members have been twitcasting, for vip fans and not and recently they had a broadcast all together from home.

Other artists who also broadcasted a lot and/or did live shows are: RAZOR, Diaura, DOG inThePWO, Mana (Kozi and Yu~ki were more active in tweets not broadcasts), Zamb, Ryutaro (also mostly in tweets), Byo, Jin & Rui Takeru/Sleepyhead, Agato/Izumi (full father mode on his tweets ^^’), Versailles members and Vistlip, SHiSHi, Neth Priere Cain, i.D.A, Satoshi, etc etc.

Now be civil and nice and think before you speak. Enjoy your shows and broadcasts, be grateful and stop throwing poison.

Beatle tag (cause why not ✌💗)

I’m new to this fandom online, so what best way to present myself but doing this (plz don't kill me guys I come in peace).

But I do have to give an special to @sgt-revolver cause thanks to their post I decided to do it.

How long have you been a fan ?: About two years if I’m not wrong, but god it has been two intense ones. Long story short, this band never was part of my life (grew up in a different culture) until the day I was reading some fanfiction in AO3 and stumbled across one about them. I then found out they were the guys behind “Let it be” and “Here comes the sun” so I decided do dig even deeper..... (Now I’m here simping and crying to their music at 2am) 🙃

Favorite Beatle: Used to be Paul (man got a charm) but when I better discovered George as a hole human being, and not only a Beatle, I went 💥. Tho, sometimes I do get frustrated with him and stay on John’s side cause he was lowkey relatable and a big bi-disaster mood. (I suddenly feel bad for Rings.... srry bro )

Favorite era for music: At the beginning I didn't like the mop top era and practically only listened from Help! to then end, but now I appreciate each period as a part of the band’s musical history and can’t help to fangirl to most songs. (Tho I’ll always have a soft spot for 1966)

Favorite era for lewks: Each Beatles had its own I think. Ringo as a teddy boy (he looks like the bad boy of your dreams), George in 65` (longer hair but not to long and just overlay hotness) and Paul/John in 66`. (The perfect balance between early and late looks)

Favorite song: Guess it depends on my mood, but it’s surely a tight between “Strawberry fields forever”, “Happiness is a warm gun”, “Lovely Rita” “While my guitar gently weeps”, “Don't bother me” and “Across the universe”. (This is such an unfair question xd)

Favorite album: Honestly I just can’t decide.. Its prob either “The Beatles (aka white album)”, “With the Beatles” or “Revolver”

Unpopular/Controversial Beatles opinion: “Revolution 9″ is not an unlistenable song and has an actual artistic value. I mean, I don’t think is a song meant to be listened during a car ride, but I do think it encapsulates pretty well the chaotic and changing vibe of the late 60s. This song makes you feel unwell because it’s meant to. Despite that, I do believe it should not have been included on the album, but rather as a John/Yoko project. (Ik Geo had a input though)

A song everyone loves but you dislike: Never was the biggest fan of “Come together” or “With a little help from my friends”. They are not necessarily bad, but rather average for me

A song everyone dislikes but you love: “Run for your life”... I know the lyrics are quite nasty but its so catchy and I love George’s guitar in it. I also really like “Dizzy Miss Lizzy”, but I don’t know if it really is that unpopular among people

Your fantasy involving The Beatles: The PG one or the ??..

JK, but I would have love to meet them during their cavern/casbah days. Like about 1961, just to chat with them about rock n roll and even jam some songs. (Even if I’m not sure that I would love to do that as a girl or a guy). And I sincerely wish I could just have some deep conversations with George and John while we share a joint . I just wish I could have known them better...

Tell us about the moment you knew you were a fan: When returning home after a long school day I decided to look after some live material (At the time I only knew like 4 songs). I put YouTube on my tv, and found “She loves you” . I was not the same girl after watching that video. If I could explain how I suddenly felt so much joy and excitement looking at them that I even started singing and dancing. The rest is history 😉

Did you ever have a genuine ‘The Beatles suck !’ phase before becoming a fan?: Because their music was not around me 24/7 growing up, I never got fed up with their music. For me almost everything was new and interesting, so I never had a hater phase

Favorite Beatle’s book: Have not read any for the moment, but I’m dying to buy Cynthia’s and May’s books. (Also the autobiography “I me mine” by George)

Thoughts on the old generation of fans: Even if the few experiences I’ve had with them have not been good, I know most of them are chill people. I also love some podcasts made by first or second gen fans. The only thing that I dislike, is the average boomer who will claim they know more than you cause they were alive at the time, even if the only song they know its “Hey Jude” . (Or those who treat John as a saint, and blame the hole break-up on Paul... smh)

If Hollywood were to make a high budget Beatles biopic, what is one thing you desperately hope they include?: I wish they wont do it (We already got enough movies), but if they do something, it would be better if it was a series and not a film. If it had to happen, they better not forget how young the guys really were and how they were actual people. I know they were ground-breaking in so many ways, but they were also human beings with many defaults and even a bit naïve in some aspects. If you only give me a wife-beater (nasty) John, delicate flower Paul, silent George and dumb Ringo, the cartoon series has done a better job than you.

Do you read/write fanfic: One word.... Yes... *Hides her unfinished drafts*

Are you the only one in your family/friend group to enjoy them?: Sadly yes. I have to force my dad to play some Beatle music while driving cause most of the music he plays is raegetton, and even if I’m proud of my Latino roots.. I’ll do salsa or merengue anytime but not some Bad Bunny ok.

Are you a shipper?: Yup

Favorite movie starring/made by them?: Help!.. I mean I also love AHDN, but it’s just so funny to see them run around being high af as they play music despite Ringo being in mortal danger. (Also the visuals we get each song just give me such a MTV vibe. Its genuinely beautiful)

Do you believe in McLennon?: *smirks at the camera*

General opinions on McLennon?: Oh boy. The Lennon/McCartney relationship is one that seems out of my grandma telenovelas. From Paris to the breakup, their story is one of up and downs, but they never really stopped loving each other. Not even death could stop their link as Paul still dreams of him and thinks about John when composing songs. I understand that not everyone may be convinced that something really happened, but I think we all should be open to the possibility.

If you got to change ONE thing about their history, what would be and why?: Brian’s death. The beginning of the end was the moment he passed away. With Brian the band would still have broke up (All things must pass, even the good ones), but it would have been less messed up. No Paul trying to take the lead a bit too much, Apple Corps probably being better handled and no Allen Klein messing up everything. (And probably no Yoko in the studio but that may be a bit of a stretch)

What song has the best vocals?: As a group, “Because” it’s probably the one. Such a simple, yet perfectly well put vocals. The peak of their talent for harmonizing in my opinion. In another side “Oh Darling!” is prob Paul best and John’s voice in “This Boy” always get me

What song do you feel had no effort put into it?: Prob an unpopular opinion but “Eight Days a Week” is such a basic song. It’s not innovative, it just uses the formula, and I feel like around this time the guys were kind of tired and just fabricated the song to be a single. It simply not feels genuine, and for me it shows the biggest problem from the “Beatles for Sale” era.

What is a well talked moment in Beatles history you genuinely believe to be false?: The way Yoko met John. The most known story is that they met each other at a Yoko art gallery, but many sources (such a Cynthia or Brian personal assistant) tell us a complete different truth. I do believe she knew the band, stalked John and force herself into his life, despite of the romantic tale she keeps repeating.

What is something you KNOW to be true, but often gets erased in their history: John. So many things about John. Many see him as only a funny character and ignore so many cues that he was a man struggling with his own self esteem to the point of having eating disorders. Not forgetting his fluid sexuality, the fact that many think that as house husband all his problems went away or that he was a wife beater. John was more than the “Imagine” martyr or monster so many people (even some fans) make out of him.

Least favorite look from a Beatle(s): Ringo in the Help! movie. Horrible mushroom hair 😂

Favorite look from a Beatle(s): George Harrison in the “Hey Bulldog”/”Lady Madonna” videoclip. (I also want that cherry SG Standard so bad omg)

I reread romantica from act 1 to 49 and these are my thoughts

1. I love Misaki so much omg 2. I love akimisa as much as I love victuuri

3. Misaki had the fastest (sexual) development in the first arc imo. He confessed, tried to make the first sexual move, referred himself and Akihiko as lovers and bold enough to answer if he wanted Akihiko to use his mouth or hand

4. As a closeted lesbian who’s also religious and living in a very conservative country I found Misaki denying his sexuality in the beginning is relatable. I did act like a homophobe before while feeling disappointed over myself for falling for girls. I did feel insulted whenever someone said I’m a lesbian despite my attraction towards women, and just like Misaki regretting about staying as a “virgin” forever, I was sad about not being able to date boys bcs I can’t get myself attracted to them.

5. I still love Misaki and cannot bring myself to hate him >.< 6. I realized how Mangafox (where the only place I can read Junjou in the past) used to be the biggest manga site. You can have user accounts, forums and clubs :0 Cue me defending romantica and Misaki from haters back then, man i feel old :p 7. I’m happy to see Misaki getting moar love from the fandom these days. I thought he was the most misunderstood character in the series. Yeah, he could be either the best or the worst character and there’s no in between. Years ago I felt like more people are hating him rather than loving him, and even one of his biggest fans admitted that they were annoyed of him. Now, it’s so satisfying to see the fandom getting very overprotective xD 8. Not only Misaki’s constant development is praised, but I think more people started to understand him more and acknowledge his underappreciated good points

9. Can I shut up about Misaki for a while gosh

10. I’m glad that reading BL mainly for sex is more frowned upon these days, leading to people appreciating Misaki more. So he is not the “worst” just bcs he can’t succ. Yea I do want to see more sexually active side of him who can also confess clearly but let’s not ignore everything he did to ensure Akihiko is well and healthy physically and mentally

11. I love Akihiko too but help I can’t stop talking about Misaki

Romantica is always more about the emotional complexity than anything and this is what getting me into loving it very much in the first place, despite being only 13 at that time but I love Romantica for how psychologically deep it is. To this day I’m still shook by the heavy personal issues faced by Akihiko and Misaki

13. The anime is not doing this series justice so I don’t expect any further anime adaptations especially if it is done by studio deen

14. I don’t understand Fuyuhiko’s logic about happiness. Why he’s making like if you want to be happy you need to be insanely rich omg he’s not even an Usami in the first place! he used to be a commoner too! yet none of the Usamis are persistent about the bloodline as much as he is!!! leave poor misaki alone he’s too young for this omg... love you Nakamura but I think Fuyuhiko is very poorly written 15. Sumi and Ijuuin are fantastic as antagonists. Sumi led to awesome character development of the main pair and I love how Ijuuin is almost unstoppable that Misaki had to reject him and clarify about his feelings being different so many times but he won’t give up. To the point where the cousins had to stand up for Misaki too! But BAM Akihiko successfully slammed him bravo bravo

16. Misaki was receiving so much victim blaming in the fandom in Ijuuin’s arc but I’m glad the manga was not treating him the same way!! And I don’t blame Akihiko for being drunk and insecure in a particular act but immediately pushing Misaki onto the floor and succ him before he had to explain that his "love” for Ijuuin is different for the goddamn third time is not the good way to approach the situation either, so Misaki is not only the wrong for cannot saying “I love you”

17. The reason why Misaki can say he loves Ijuuin easily bcs that kind of love isn’t a big deal to him compared to his feelings for Akihiko

18. How Misaki assured Akihiko that his love is different - Akihiko is the only one he wants to fucc omg and he did it twice xD Please Nakamura, don’t forget about this in the future!

19. Misaki is kissed by all of the male love interests. Like wow xDDD

20. Act 49 spoilers - Misaki isn’t rly treated as the “girl” of the relationship. He literally declared that he will work hard to stay with Akihiko forever... in front of none other than the latter’s parents xD omg and cue Akihiko’s “it’s like a marriage proposal” xDDD *yoi airport ost plays*

21. I need to buy all the volumes in the future. seeing so many missing extras is making me sad D:

22. I heard that the current arc is the climax... which was 5 years ago xD

23. Why Isaka thought trapping Misaki with another man alone in a room is a good idea xD I read too many fics about this scenario!!! and what happened to Misaki... lol

I’m having a bit of hope for Sony Animation’s future

Some of these movies reviewed contain spoilers so if you don’t want to be spoiled, you have been warned.

First, I want to let you know that I am the biggest hater of Sony since Animat. Yes, it is probably the worst animation studio currently around. The only film that I genuinely liked from them was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 and that doesn’t mean it’s a great film. It’s also part of my childhood so I may be biased towards it. After that, they have been going downhill with movies such as the Smurfs. I haven’t seen Open Season, Surf’s Up, or Arthur Christmas so I can’t say much about how their early years were.

A lot of people say that Spiderverse and Hair Love are a return to form but they weren’t my cup of tea mainly because they were too dramatic and angsty for me. And they have been stuck in this angst era since Hotel Transylvania, sure they made light-hearted movies in between that and Spiderverse but I had to mention that because that was the start of them getting into angst. I haven’t seen Angry Birds 2 which is a post-Spiderverse film but I’ve seen the first one and that was light-hearted enough even if it was overall a mediocre film. So, if Angry Birds 2 is more light-hearted than Spider-verse and Hair Love, then I’m happy that Sony at least still makes those kind of movies for lighthearted fans like myself who is not a fan of feeling too sorry for the characters, tearing up over a movie or getting tense over a relationship that’s full of tension.

But what I haven’t mentioned much is why I hate this company as a whole besides Hair Love and Spiderverse so I’m going to give some reviews over the films I have seen from them throughout their run.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

This one is an interesting case. I saw this after recently turning 11 and I actually didn’t care much for the film the first time I saw it. The trailers made the film look stupid but I decided to see it because I wanted to know what all the praise was about.

I thought it was a stupid, childish kids film with ridiculous animation and body proportions and over-expressive and annoying characters. Though, I didn’t hate it, I thought it was decent enough for me to try it again and I did, and I enjoyed it a bit more. I ended up crushing on Flint. He makes such creative inventions, he’s highly intelligent, and he genuinely cares about his town and others’ wellbeing. Him making food for his impoverished town is the driving motivator of the film. I wanted to be friends with him. I also sympathized with his plight of wanting to please his dad and everyone because he grew up unloved, bullied, motherless and with a dad who doesn’t understand him. I know that some people think that he’s annoying because yes, he did become arrogant but honestly, I don’t think it was completely his fault. The people got greedy and he didn’t want to alienate anyone by lessening the food and the amount of it which goes back to how he grew up. I enjoyed seeing him grow from this naive guy who didn’t care about the consequences of his actions, to a selfless man who sacrifices himself for the greater good of his town while stopping his machine.

And it’s not just Flint who I liked, almost all the characters are well-developed and go through some decent growth. While there isn’t much story in there, the whole film was just fun and feel-good to watch. There are a lot of funny jokes for both kids and adults and while it’s based on a book, the concept of raining food sounds ridiculous but that’s part of what makes the film so imaginative. And that’s not all the story is about, it’s also about a guy who wants to please his misunderstanding dad, which is what makes the story more compelling and heartfelt. It doesn’t rely on wackiness and silliness all the way through like most films of its kind does, it also has some slower moments such as the father-son relationship and some actual character development. Yes, it’s the same parent who doesn’t want their child to have a career trope but it’s relatable and it’s subverted because the child in this case is an adult or thereabout and most adults should be allowed to be independent but even Flint is hindered by his overprotective parent.

The only things that bring this film down besides my initial complaints are the trouble-making, borderline useless, static Steve and the anti-climatic, overlong third act. I also won’t deny that Flint’s dorkiness did get on my nerves at times.

Rating: 7/10

Smurfs

I haven’t seen this film since it first came out and I was 12 at the time so I’m not as critical of it as most people are to it. I just found it a decent film, that’s all. It’s not Cloudy, it’s nothing to write home about. Just okay.

Rating: 6/10

Hotel Transylvania

This movie is another forgettable outing of Sony. I haven’t seen this since it came out so I can’t say much about it. I didn’t like it. It’s just an angsty teen drama, that’s it, and I’m not a fan of movies about angsty teens. I also remember that I thought Mavis was a stupid character and the film didn’t make a lot of sense overall. I do like the part where they danced and I do remember laughing at one joke though. Okay, that’s all I remember. I am not bothering watching this again just to re-review it. What’s worse is that I saw this on my birthday so you can say it was a bad birthday present. That’s okay, it’s just a movie after all and I still had fun with my other birthday presents.

This is the film that started Sony’s real downfall.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

After hearing that this film was in development, I was upset and disappointed. I didn’t want a sequel to this film, it didn’t need one! It was perfect as it is and it’s going to ruin it! Turns out my instincts were right. Oh my sweet baby jesus, where do I even start? This film is disappointing and painfully mediocre.

The film overall is even stupider than the first one. I chuckled at maybe like one joke which is the leek one. The way they screwed up everyone is just insane. Like I would at least feel a bit better if it was an AU and they were different incarnations even if it still wouldn’t make the film much better but no. This film is canon, these are the same characters from the first film so I will treat it as such. I was so angry at this film and I disliked Flint and everyone in it. It made me want to forget the first movie, which is one of my favorite movies and I refused to watch the first one again for 6 years!

Even the new characters weren’t anything to write home about. Chester V is the cliched bad guy who we thought was a good guy who the hero idolizes and Barry was another Steve but flatter. He, like Steve is troublesome to our heroes, has no character development, did nothing except for maybe like once and all we know from him is that he’s mischievous and loving. Just flat! And don’t even get me started on that stupid scene with him translating for Flint when I don’t think there was ANYTHING implying that he understood English before, ruining what could’ve been a tense scene of Flint speaking in front of a crowd of non-English foodimals. He’s even worse than Steve was in the first movie.

And speaking of Steve, he is the only character that stays the same but don’t worry, THEY MADE HIM EVEN MORE ANNOYING THAN HE WAS IN THE FIRST MOVIE! What dumbass at Sony thought that this character’s antics were so funny and cute that they decided to turn it up 5 notches? Like seriously, WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS CHARACTER??? He is seen always stealing food, attacked Flint at one point and even played a cruel joke on Flint, upsetting him in front of a crowd of inventors and his idol! That was the straw that broke the camel’s back, I wanted this character to die. Yes, I’m usually against animal abuse but this character has made me so angry for this and all the things that he’s done in the second film and it doesn’t help my case at all that monkeys are one of my least favorite animals.

Now about the old characters, they all lost their personalities and have no purpose, aside from Flint. The only reason they all are part of the adventure was all started from stupid Flint breaking his promise to Chester V and spilling the beans to everyone of what could’ve been a secret mission. The chemistry between Flint and his dad is barely there now because somehow Chester V is a big part of Flint’s life? Yeah, because that’s all Flint worried about in the first film. Flint still has a personality but an even more annoying and OOC one. He doesn’t care about helping his town anymore, he is here trying to bond with some idol from his childhood? Here, he is stupider, brattier and cowardlier (e.g. his first reaction to Barry). He also attacked his dad with his inventions and even got addicted to coffee. And at the end, implies a passion for fishing as if science isn’t the only thing on his mind all the time? Not to mention that this ruins the environmental message about how animals shouldn’t be killed or eaten and don’t even get me started on that stupid scene where he was struggling to reel in a .5 oz fish. Another big problem with his character: HE REPEATS THE SAME DEVELOPMENT AND STORY HE HAD IN THE FIRST FILM! But this time, it’s not even sympathetic, he has friends so why is he ignoring them in favor of Chester V?

And… I’m done ranting about this fucker. This review is getting too long since it’s coming from a massively disappointed, angry fanatic of the first film, if you want to see me rant about it even more, read this. I really wanted to like Flint’s next adventure and I re-watched parts of it to see if I will change my opinion like I did for the first film, still as mediocre as it was the first time I watched it in theaters and I couldn’t sit through the re-watch because it made me too angry so yeah.

On the positive side, it does have great visuals, the foodimals are cute, and there is clearly some effort put into it. I just wish it was polished a bit more with some more drafting, more creativity, and well-written characters and it could’ve been another decent, rewatchable Cloudy film.

Steve’s First Bath

Yes, I found out a couple of months ago that Cloudy 2 had a couple of shorts. To be honest, I was not at all enjoying the idea of the 2D Animation so I picked this one since that’s apparently the only one with 3D animation but unfortunately, this one also is mostly 2D, and it doesn’t even look pretty. I don’t understand why Sony decided to use 2D animation when most CGI movies have shorts with the same animation as their movies.

This short really didn’t have any point to it and just didn’t make any sense. Why is there a restaurant called Pickle Garden? Apparently, that’s a reference to Olive Garden, I mean why not just call it Olive Garden? This is just a fictional town on Earth, not a fantasy world.

Most of the film revolves around Steve and him causing trouble. Here, he took a shit in the lab I guess, on the same day Flint was supposed to date so he creates a cleaning robot for Steve. This causes shenanigans between him and the robot and this ends up destroying Flint’s lab. Flint comes back not even HOLDING BACK TEARS AT THE SIGHT OF HIS DESTROYED LAB and zoom out to Flint begging Sam not to dump him. Like the dude could’ve just called off the date, it’s not that important. Poor thing had a rough day, he didn’t have to somehow make a 2D Memory Thought Translator at the last minute and worry his pretty little head off over Sam dumping him when the whole thing was not even his fault.

Of course she doesn’t dump him because she’s too nice for that. The annoying Steve dirties himself up again and Flint and Sam just laugh it off in a cliched ending.

Cloudy is digging a deeper ditch with these cash grabs and don’t know how Flint always takes his destroyed lab so well. I mean, the second movie has this same problem where Flint’s lab and computer is all torn up, his hometown has turned into a jungle and Flint and company aren’t even sad about it. If I were him, I would be tearing up and then crying my eyes out when nobody can see.

Smurfs: The Lost Village

While this isn’t as bad as Transylvania and Cloudy 2, it was still very mediocre. It had an interesting concept but executed poorly. There were some on-the-nose dialogue, corny jokes, and a predictable story with static characters you couldn’t care for and little to put me on the edge of my seat. There is even that classic Disney trope at the end where a dead character is brought back to life through love.

I also do not get how Smurfette died by fighting back Gargamel with her powers. Now keep in mind, I have not seen the Smurfs cartoon series so maybe these stuff were expanded upon in there.

On the positive side, it does have some heart and entertaining scenes.

Hotel Transylvania: The Series

Okay, I have no idea why I decided to watch this series. I guess I was flipping through channels and wanted to watch something on Disney Channel and caught the first episode of this series.

It is just flat-out awful. There is lowbrow humor and a totally cliched story. The animation was also ugly to look at. I have nothing positive to say about it. Just why this piece of mediocrity was turned into a franchise is beyond me.

The Emoji Movie

Wow, Sony, they released three poorly made movies in one year.

The concept of this movie is absurd, how do you make a movie out of emojis? Take Wreck it Ralph, Inside Out, and The Lego Movie and mix elements from them all up and you get a boring, cliched film about a guy who doesn’t fit in and goes on an adventure to try and fit in. I’m sick and tired of Hollywood taking everything and making movies out of them.

The movie portrays teens as stereotypical phone addicts who can’t spend 1 minute away from their phones and promote emojis as the only way to communicate. These themes are so contrived and stupid to promote.

And the characters? I can’t remember much about the characters. Hi Five is an annoying genki boy who’s always causing trouble? Gene has no personality besides he’s nice and feels insecure about the fact that he’s meh and can express so many emotions? Jailbreak is a sassy feminist who is actually a princess? Poop is poop. Smiler is a forgettable villain who’s probably in there because we always need the villain? Alex? He has no personality, all he wants to do is to impress an also flat girl.

This movie overall is just stupid. We have a deus ex machina moment where the twitter bird comes in to save our heroes (why didn’t Jailbreak just drop her feminism and use it to get over the fire wall and where they need to go anyway?) And don’t even get me started on Gene turning into a grey meh emoji after Jailbreak dumps him. Like why would being dumped cause you to be emotionless? I can see it making you angry and depressed but definitely not emotionless.

I don’t have any points to give this film other than the technical parts of it which are the decent animation and voice-acting. This is not surprising since Sony’s movies are usually well-animated and it had a star-studded cast but that’s it. The movie’s nothing special at all. I’m struggling to find something positive about the writing….. Well, I guess Gene’s parents’ meh personalities are kind of interesting and one of them actually has a backstory and the elderly emoticons but that’s about it.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

Yeah, I know this isn’t fully animated but I’m going to review it anyway because it’s by Sony Pictures Animation and it had some CGI in there.

This was perhaps the stupidest kids film I have seen in a long time back then. I didn’t know what to expect not having seen the first Goosebumps movie but this is painfully cheesy, even worse than The Lost Village.

This movie takes until the third act to pick up pace but not even the action was memorable. Its characters are either mean or stupid, they fight like brainless 10 year olds over how they’re going to defeat Slappy and don’t even understand cooperation. The jokes are either corny or slightly funny.

If there is a third Goosebumps movie, I hope to God that it is smarter than this.

Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse

Okay, this is going to be a very short review as I have not watched this past the 10-20 minute mark or something like that?

The only things I liked about it in this part of the movie were the unique stop-motion/cgi combo animation and the very first scene with that looney tunes parody but that was it. I couldn’t stand the film because one, I do not like Marvels at all and second, because I didn’t like how disrespectful Miles was to his dad. Sorry, Spiderverse, I’m a fan of movies with kids who genuinely care about and support their families and any movie with loving families not an aloof child who doesn’t care about his dad. I know a lot of people are rooting for me to watch this and say that the Miles grew as a character but I mainly don’t like marvels movies and it doesn’t make the film perfect just because he grew. Audiences need to care about the protagonists all the way through, if he/she is too insufferable even if they grow out of it, you could risk alienating audiences even before the growth even starts.

Hair Love

This film was sorely disappointing. I was excited to see this film when it was playing before Angry Birds 2 in theaters but I didn’t get a chance to see it because I was on vacation some of the time. From the description, the colors, and the first half, I thought I was going to enjoy it. I was like hey, this doesn’t look bad, it’s not like there’s sick parents or something in there, It was funny, it was light-hearted and it made me smile. But the tone completely takes a sudden turn after the fight with the hair, when the dad upsets his daughter by deciding to give up. And then we have a heavy scene at the end. Wow, I was not expecting it to take a dark turn. This is still a sweet short though.

I am so sorry, Matthew, I really wish I could like and support your representation as a black girl but it wasn’t my cup of tea. I am not a fan of the drama and angst that it has going on in the whole second half of a short 7 minute film or most films for that matter. I won’t be angry if you win the Oscar because more films about blacks need to be supported but I hope you will go on to have a great career and make better films that even I can enjoy.

So how is Sony doing this decade? Well, they do have some pretty interesting films in development, Mitchells vs. the Machines, Wish Dragon, and Vivo but I’m not going to get my hopes up too high. This is Sony and they could risk disappointing and we also don’t know much about them.

Mitchells looks creative but one concern is the dysfunctional family aspect. Like I said, I am not a fan of dysfunctional families and they’re commonly known to be either played for drama or played for comedy, I hope it’s the latter for Mitchells. Either that or it could go the Cloudy route where there’s a dramatic relationship with the parent not understanding the child but it’s not used for emotional effect. I’m going to remain neutral on that film until I know more about it.

Wish Dragon is apparently based on a genie in a bottle story? I haven’t read it but it looks like it could be a morally complex and sophisticated film with some well-rounded characters.

I am especially really interested with Vivo probably the most. I love music and it apparently is going to have different types of music in there, that sounds like it could be a unique story that will stand the test of time.

The only upcoming film I’m kind of meh about is Agent King. It sounds like a weird representation of Elvis’s life and it’s also a superhero film I think and I’m not a fan of superhero movies. It’s giving me some my hero academia vibes so maybe this would be interesting? Or maybe even a rip off? I don’t know.

I also really hope they bring Popeye back. I mean Popeye is voiced by Spongebob and it looks funny. My only gripe is that the animation is ridiculous. It would be really nice to bring Popeye to a new generation.

So, how should Sony fix themselves? Well, I don’t have much ideas but they could get Chris Miller and Phil Lord to head the studio as directors and writers which I think they said they were going to do a long time ago? I think they have some potential since Cloudy 1 was good and Lego Movie was alright. Lord did do the writing for Spiderverse but other than that, they didn’t do directing and Miller didn’t even help Lord out with the script, it was just some other guy.

I also hope they don’t make that same mistake again regarding one of their most recent films, Hair Love where the tones are inconsistent. You can’t make something light hearted and then turn it into a drama half way, it rarely works like that. You could throw off audiences who liked where it was going and were expecting it to stay that route. Now, I don’t have any suggestions from any mistakes with Spiderverse since I never gave that a proper chance.

With their upcoming films looking interesting and the opinion that not all of their films are bad, I’m going to keep watching Sony films and hope and try to enjoy them. I just hope they won’t make the same mistakes or any other kind of mistakes they have made with their previous films and that they have some well-rounded characters, imaginative stories, sweet chemistries, honest themes, witty humor, and cohesive tones like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1.
