Only on video streams and let's plays but it's almost always "omg Vincent sucks" and I'm like "You're not a real fan if you hate the main character." I'm only here to gush over Vincent and Rin.
Anyway, I blog a lot about Catherine so you're welcome to check them out or follow me.
No one talks about Cathrine huh

No Hard Feelings (Spoiler) Review Not that you should watch it, though
Tumblr media
I do not understand what is up with these problematic movies involving kids being exploited these past few years. I mean, first we had Cuties, then we had Naked Education, and now this. And what’s sad is that it actually had an interesting idea behind it.
The concept of a socially awkward young adult trying to make friends and find a partner is something that I think is relatable in today’s generation. Only the problem is that the PARENTS are the ones pushing this. Literally pushing their ADULT CHILD to get laid. Oh, and it gets worse.
Right off the bat, we have the most unlikeable protagonist I’ve seen in years. Jennifer Lawrence’s Maddie is a complete womanchild, a groomer and a Karen. She’s apparently a 30-year-old who’s somehow never gotten out of her crazy wild child phase. Why she’s like this, I have no clue. And the way she acts towards Percy, she’s like the female version of Johnny Bravo but somehow more creepy? Idk. It’s like the writers wanted to come up with all sorts of ways to make the most obnoxious protagonist ever. I also think Jennifer Lawrence is miscast, her sweet, innocent face does not suit the role that she has.
Maddie and Percy have little chemistry and no reason why they should even be into each other in the first place. They are two completely different people with different life values and Maddie was overall just toxic both as a partner and a friend around Percy. She sabotaged his friendship with a girl because he didn’t want him to have anyone else, she lies to him, kidnapped and seduced him, blocked his view while he was driving, and gets mad at him for leaving her for Princeton. Percy literally has no reason to forgive her for everything by the end of the movie, but he does. All because she almost drowned. Wow, what a heart-warming ending.
Also, Maddie claims that she grew because of Percy, but I do not remember anywhere where she has made even subtle hints toward growth. She has just been a self-centered, manipulative bitch toward Percy and everyone else the entire film.
The humor is also weirdly Ai-like? I can’t remember which dialogue, but some of it just felt like the writers ran out of ideas and decided to ask Ai to generate some random dialogue for some of the scenes. I don’t remember anytime where I laughed. Maybe I chuckled once or twice, but I cringed at the rest.
Even the end credits scene is boring. It’s literally all landscapes.
No Hard Feelings gets 3.2 bells out of 10.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I wish Percy was the protagonist. He was the only likeable character in the film, he just doesn’t have a lot of agency because the ADULTS are the ones making the decisions for him. I don’t see how this movie got decent reviews or how anyone would ship Maddie and Percy. Am I missing some deeper meaning that other people are seeing? Because all I’m seeing is a 30 year old woman sticking her ass out at the uncomfortable socially stunted 19 year old and the 19 year old forgiving her because he is a product of a grooming relationship and a toxic cycle. And the movie somehow acts like all of this is okay.

Interesting. The fact that Vincent became a music producer in one of the Rin endings does make me wonder if Vincent was a job hopper in his lifetime. I expected him to have jobs taking care of people and animals like babysitting, animal care, therapy, senior care, and cooking, it surprises me to find out he is a technician.
I do also imagine poor dude must feel hopeless after cheating but his friends have his back.
When he was dating Katherine, he probably cooked a lot for her. He would probably do the same for Rin too.
Vincent Brooks headcanons anyone?
Loves animals. Would probably like to have a cat someday, but at the same time, he's afraid of the responsibilities and thinks he would be a bad owner. Same with children. Is probably good with them, but doesn't want to raise one because he feels he would be a bad father.
Wanted to be a therapist/animal caretaker at one point, then became a tech engineer for some reason.
Gets pretty sensitive at emotional movies and romance stories (because they remind him of Katherine) and any animal/child dying. Would probably snap at whoever would harm them. Wouldn't be able to handle any cheating story.
Probably likes mysteries and puzzle games, seeing that he's good at solving puzzles and coming up with techniques. Probably prefers retro games to modern gaming. Same with movies and music probably.
For movies/tv/books, Vincent probably likes drama and coming of age stories. Especially ones where characters make mistakes so like Breaking Bad and Scott Pilgrim. Plus if they grow from them. Also some science fiction films like Star Wars, Star Trek, Interstellar.
Dislikes showing off his talent for the most part, like singing and dancing. He feels too insecure.
A bit afraid of PDA, which is why he doesn't show much affection to Katherine and gives her a shy kiss in the true ending.
I don't think he hugs people much, but if he does, they're probably darn good hugs. If he saw one of his friends crying, he'd probably hug them.
Got bullied in his childhood. Which is partly why he blocked out memories from his school days.
Was a fairly obedient, cautious kid who was probably often peer pressured by the more adventurous Orlando.
Dislikes thrills.
Probably grew up spoiled, which explains his immature behavior in the game.
Probably majorly depressed/su!c!dal after the cheating incident and would do anything to atone for it.
Sleeps a lot, even at work.
Often drinks until he vomits, passes out. Sometimes drinks the hard stuff like whiskey.
Smoked weed at one point and then switched to cigarettes.
Deals with roaches, ants, spiders and rats a lot. Which is terrible for him because he's afraid of them.
That's all I have for now. I'll edit this if I have anymore. Does anyone else have anymore? Would love to discuss Vincent stuff.

Got evicted from many apartments due to lifestyle habits
Wrecked cars a lot due to his scatter brain, which is why he doesn't currently have one.
Took weeks to think about because I was wondering what kind of music Vincent would be into. He doesn't strike me as much of a music person, although I can imagine he used to jam in nightclubs and discos back in his day. So he probably has a nostalgic fondness for anything electronic and disco. He still goes to nightclubs on occasion but doesn't jam as much. Probably also relaxes to downtempo and lofi.
That's all I have for now. I'll edit this if I have anymore. Does anyone else have anymore? Would love to discuss Vincent stuff.

Seriously, what is with this whole "the Catherines should ditch Vincent and date each other" fiasco? I doubt any of them would get along with each other.

Migration + Mooned Review
Tumblr media
Before I start this review, I'll just have you know that the director who made this also made a movie called Ernest and Celestine. Pretty obscure film, but it was one of the very few films I actually gave a 9 out of 10. Now, granted, I was young back when I first watched it and I could think differently now, but I'm just saying.
Tumblr media
Which is why it's pretty amazing how Migration is actually quite the step down from Ernest and Celestine. It's still a decent movie, but it isn't anything to write home about.
Story
If you thought the Mario movie was simplistic, I'd say the Mario movie had a bit more going on than this one. On one hand, it's a basic adventure film and on the other hand, things happen that don't make sense. Like how the plot of the film gets started by Mack turning a 180 and deciding to migrate. The mallards get caught by these giant birds that they think want to eat them, but actually don't. During action moments, the birds would be screaming but nobody is alerted. And then the film loses its footing toward the end when they introduce a villain who wants to cook the birds. Nothing really special to say about the story. It's that weak.
Characters
The characters have their charmingly quirky moments, but like the story, they don't really feel meaningful. Mack is your average overprotective parent for some unexplained reason, the mother (forgot her name) is just a mother. Characters like the pigeon, parrot, and the uncle didn't really do much and probably shouldn't have been there in the first place. I do think the thin story hurts the characters somewhat. I do like Gwen, Dax, and the uncle personality-wise but I wish they were in a better story.
Overall
Clearly a movie made for children and I'm sure slice-of-life fans would like it, but it's no Despicable Me (another simple film by Illumination that would appeal to both adults and kids). Nothing much special, that's why this review is so short. It's cute, but it's not going to stick in my head after a while. I think it would've done better as a short or it could've used some more drafting in order to structure the story better.
I give Migration 6.1 bells out of 10.

Mooned
Tumblr media
I always wanted to know what happened to Vector on the Moon, but idk, man. Like Migration, it just seemed like it was made to entertain the kids. Vector is not as cool as he once was in the film, and jog my memory, but I don't remember his suits having abilities besides flying? (And I just recently rewatched the first film). It's good for a laugh, but that's about it. Maybe it didn't really need to be made.
4.1 bells out of 10.
Tumblr media
Both films have .1. Ain't that interesting?

Yes I suddenly remembered I had a fixation on this silly science guy from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs around 4 years ago. Thanks to my YouTube recommendations. And back in 2020 I couldn’t draw humans for shit so… Catching up on that, ahah

Most people who play Catherine are a bunch of bitter feminists/misandrists who think women are all perfect faultless saints and any man who hurts women (even inadvertently) are bad people and hate the fact that Vincent is not your average edgy antihero.
the fact people have played catherine and are so coomer brained to think "yea the sex pest is just better luhmayoh L wife" or saying vincents gay for not just leaving his partner
like damn you're a loser
i mean, playing with one hand is impressive but you still need a shower
