They find out you were in a car accident.
Part 1, Part 2
Authors note: I’m taking a little break from writing Kilonova to work on some other stories for fun. I got this idea from driving on the highway in the rain and I ended up hydroplaning a few time. Thankfully no cars were around me. This took me a few days to write, so I hope you all enjoy! I even made the gifs myself :)
•̩̩͙*˚⁺‧. •̩̩͙*˚⁺‧.˚ *•̩̩͙ ✩. •̩̩͙*˚⁺‧. •̩̩͙*˚⁺‧. ˚ *•̩̩͙ ✩.
It was late and dark as I made my way home. Heavy raindrops began to pelt at my window and gradually increased in speed and size until, eventually, I had to hit my brakes due to being unable to see ahead of me. As I brake, I feel my car lose traction and start to hydroplane. I tried to stop my car from spinning by pumping my breaks and turning in the opposite direction before a black SUV that was unable to see in the heavy rain slammed into the back end of my car and turned away before another vehicle that was also unable to see hit me head-on, I brace for impact as my car flips, and I lose consciousness upon landing.
Aizawa
Shouta was finishing his shift when he received a call to respond to a three car accident nearby. Shouta accepts the job and hastily makes his way over. He had faintly heard the crash about ten minutes prior, and despite most of the sound having been drowned out by the rain, it still sounded nasty. He didn't expect to see your car amongst one of the few involved in the accident. The SUV had pulled over further down the street, and the vehicle's front end was destroyed; the other car, the red sedan that hitthe front end of your car, was totaled as the front end was missing, and the sides were scraped from flipping over onto its side and sliding.
Both drivers were okay with minimal injuries. You, on the other hand, were finally being pulled from the wreckage of your car with no status as of yet to your condition. There was debris from your vehicle scattered all across the road. The roof was caved in, the front end was smashed and caved in where the sedan had crashed, and the back end was caved in as well from where the SUV had struck your car. He stood in shock and covered his mouth to prevent himself from crying in front of all these people working hard in the pouring rain to help those involved in the accident.
He couldn't let his emotions out right now. He needed to do his job. He quickly gathered intel from the paramedics, who explained that the black SUV reportedly saw them hydroplane but failed to avoid their car. The one in the red sedan had been speeding under the influence and had also failed to prevent their vehicle from crashing into them. Upon hearing about the red sedan, Shouta was furious, but he needed to know if you were okay. Shouta left the plice and paramedics to do their job with investigating and tending to the two involved in the accident as he made his way towards you.
Shouta swore he stopped breathing upon finally seeing the wreckage of your car up close. Blood was all over the airbags and seats, the door had been pried open with the jaws of life, and he grimaced at the sight of one of your teeth sitting in a puddle of blood on the car's roof. The ambulance that had you rushed off a while ago. He had no idea if you were dead or alive, which scared him beyond belief. All sense of reasoning was out the window as he continued staring at the wreckage. They wouldn't take a deceased body to the hospital. Would they? Shouta snaps back to reality upon hearing an officer calling out to him once more. He blinks a few times and turns to the officer to begin exchanging information and to finish handling the situation as soon as he can so he can rush to the hospital.

Hawks
Keigo had finally arrived home after a long shift. He shook the water from his wings before entering your shared house. Keigo looks around the house for any sign of you, only to see you haven’t arrived home yet. He wasn’t worried. You were probably stuck in traffic with all this rain.
Keigo yawns as he stretches his hands before heading towards the bedroom. He places his headset and glasses on the dresser beside his bed before grabbing a pair of clothes and heading toward the bathroom. He turns on the shower before stripping himself of his soaked uniform and jacket and stepping into the shower. Keigo sighs, and his feathers puff up from a shiver running down his spine due to the contrast of the warm water against his cold skin. He relishes the newfound warmth and relief as he rubs at the sore parts of his body before finally deciding to wash.
Keigo grabs the bottle of shampoo when he hears his phone go off. He ignores it while leaving a mental note to check out who it is after he gets out. He begins washing his hair, and as he finishes rinsing his hair out, his phone rings again. He ignores it again while continuing to shower. Once he’s done, he steps out and grabs a towel.
As Keigo begins drying himself off and wrapping the towel around his waist, he grabs another towel beneath the one he had just held and begins to dry his hair. Keigo then proceeds to grabs his phone from the bathroom and returns to your shared bedroom. He unlocks the phone and plays the voicemail left by the person who had called him before putting the phone on speaker and placing it on the bed before standing back up to finish drying off and putting his sleepwear on.
“Hello. This is Yuriko Harusa calling from the hospital regarding your fiancé (Y/n) (L/n)-“ Keigo freezes upon hearing those words and rushes back over to his phone, running his fingers through his hair to moves his bangs from his face as he does so. “(Y/n) was involved in a car accident and is here with us in surgery. We would appreciate it if you could come down to the hospital to provide some information so the doctor can speak to you about further procedures-“ Keigo hung up the phone before the voicemail could finish. He was running to grab his keys from the nightstand and rushing out to his car.

Dabi
Dabi had been waiting patiently in your screened-in back patio to get home. He was falling asleep in your swinging chair, cuddled up in the throw blanket you left folded neatly on the seat, half asleep from watching the rain fall and the waterfall from the gutters fall to the ground in an odd melodic tune. He looks down at his burner for the time, and his eyes narrow at the number isolated across the screen. 10:42 P.M., it read. It would have been nice if you were here an hour ago. Dabi’s cyan eyes grow dark.
What could’ve happened to you? Did a villain get you? Did a hero catch on and take you in for questioning? His big question was whether or not you were okay. With that, he stands up from the swinging chair on the patio, folds the blanket before placing it back on the seat, and pulls his hood up before exiting the enclosure and into the pouring rain.
Dabi pouted angrily as he walked down the street towards the road you took home from work, now soaked from the pelting rain. Dabi had been walking for a good half an hour before he froze upon turning the corner and quickly hid back behind the wall of the building he had just turned around. The police lights caught him off guard. He slowly peeks around the corner to see if the coast is clear, but his eyes rest on the tow truck hauling your car away. The vehicle was ultimately destroyed among the other two cars on the lift.
Dabi’s eyes widened in shock, and he felt the urge to throw up from the sudden rush of emotions from his chest. You were not okay. He should’ve just ignored you and waited outside of the building you worked at so that he could’ve been there for you. No. Thankfully, he wasn’t in the car because then things would have been a lot worse.
If he would’ve been in there, your relationship could’ve been compromised, and both of you would have had to face the law. He’d instead you be injured than you facing a life behind bars because of his foolishness. You didn’t deserve that. Dabi’s skin hisses as his quirk activates due to his overwhelming anger, worry, and despair he was in. You were fine, right? You were just roughed up. You’ll be home soon.
One of the officers turns his head upon hearing the odd sound of hissing and begins walking in the direction of the noise. The officer sees a black figure disappear behind the corner of the building and he quickly reaches for his pistol before bolting. As the officer turns the corner, there’s nobody there. He looks around, confused, and looks down to put his gun away before stopping upon seeing a single drop of blood on the concrete being washed away.

Bakugo
Bakugo had been handling a few villains with strong quirks, one of which could control vehicles. The other two had already been apprehended, so all that was left was this villain before him. As he went to blind him with a blast so Izuku could successfully capture him, he heard a screech and a crashing noise.
“Shit!” He yelled as he finally blinded the enemy so Izuku could use black whip to restrain him.
“Could you please check on the civilians!” he yelled as he had his hands tied with the villains. Izuku then dialed for backup to escort the villains to jail and for some ambulances to tend to the injured.
“Yeah, yeah, I'm on it.” He yelled before blasting off towards the direction he heard the crashes. He stops at a black SUV first, ensuring the family inside we're okay. He rushes over to the man in the red sedan, who is dazed, but seems fine besides a possible concussion. Katsuki was not ready to see your car in the wreckage.
“Baby! Hey!” He shouts as he sprints as fast as he can to the car. It was flipped, and you were hanging upside down in your seat, unconscious. He quickly assesses the situation before pressing a hand to his headset to relay the situation to Izuku. “There were three cars. A black SUV with a family who seems alright, a red sedan with a man possibly with a concussion, and (Y/n) is unconscious among the wreckage of her vehicle.” He shouts quickly.
“Is she okay?” Izuku asks through the speaker.
“She better be fucking okay. Otherwise, I will handle that villain myself. ” Katsuki growls through his headset. He hoped that damn villain would get life in prison, at least. He didn't want to see that villain's face again; otherwise, he'd be a bloody mess of a pulp.
“I'll handle the rest once these villains are arrested and taken away. You can go with her to the hospital.” Izuku replies.
“Hey, come on, baby!” Katsuki cries out as he reaches through the shattered glass to unlock the door and gently unbuckle your seatbelt, catching you in the process. You were cold. “Shit.” He says in shock. He quickly carries you beneath the awning of a building before placing you down on your back and checking for a pulse. You didn't have one.
“Fuck! Fuck!” Katsuki yells out. Tears are now brimming in his shocked eyes, but he tries not to let them fall. “She doesn't have a pulse!” He yells through his headset as police sirens break the sound of the rain. He immediately starts CPR.
Katsuki’s hands are crossed onto your chest as he begins pumping it before pulling away and breathing into your mouth, repeating the cycle. “Come on. Come on!” He yells while pumping your chest again desperately before moving to start blowing into your mouth again. His heart is racing in fear. He didn't want to lose you. You didn't deserve this. You can't die like this. If only he were faster, you would have been fine. Katsuki didn't know how long he had been repeating the process and when he had started pleading and crying. It was a blur. The ambulance was taking you away. Izuku was ripping him away from you. Izuku was restraining him with black whip as he desperately tried to get to you. It was all blurred in his memory as he now sat in the living room of Kirishima’s house.
Kirishima sat with his legs spread and hands clasped between them, leaning forward as he watched Katsuki. Beside Kirishima was Izuku. Izuku was sitting similarly to Kirishima; only his l hands held his head in exasperation. Katsuki was catatonically sitting across from them on the couch. His eyes narrow and dark, staring at the floor. Izuku had brought Katsuki over to Kirishima's house to get him to calm down and de-escalate the situation.
Kirishima had hurriedly let them into his house and gave the two boys towels to dry off in. Izuku wasted no time drying off, but Katsuki ignored him and instead plopped himself down on the couch where he remained, not moving a centimeter. All he could think about was whether you would ever be home in his arms again.

You wandered aimlessly, looking around the suite-like cabin and then down the skyline. Tokyo was always beautiful, even now when winters had just started to greet. There was a foggy blanket of clouds covering the labyrinth of buildings and you could never get over it. With your next client, it was obvious your thoughts were along the lines of… an Angel flying out in the skies keeping everyone safe, now reduced to someone without wings. Still an Angel though, but that's what you think. Maybe he doesn't.
You grimly sighed when your eyes wandered at the clock, there were still 30 minutes to your appointment, normally… someone like you would never get the opportunity to deal with heroes so popular. Hawks was a no show after the war, people thought he had died. People thought he left Japan for good. Though a faint glimmer of hope always made you want to believe he's still around. To your surprise when he was your client, you felt a knot on your stomach churn with anticipation and excitement.
You sat on your velvety chair, the lights dim and comfortable to the modernized architecture of your office. You gulped, opening his file and looking at the passport photograph of him. The scar he got in one of the fights in which a villain named Dabi publicized his kill was there, siren eyes staring into your very soul were there. How could you even try to open up someone who looks so ethereal and so threatening at the same time. You feel just as nervous as your first time, the personality that Hawks carries eating away at you slowly. You shook your head, jerking the thoughts away. Be professional, he is a client and you're doing your job.
If you hadn't been so dazed by your favorite hero and your crush; you were quite a number yourself. Cut-throat, not afraid to walk the talk, stern, fierce, kind and disciplined. People respect you and you command it when they don't. Not afraid to force someone to bend the knee if they indulge in animosity with you. It's just… Hawks was someone you admired oh-so-much! You had his merch and posters after all. Not that he would get to know that, oh no. That'd never happen.
Takami Keigo, 26, Born on December 28th. Blood group B+, MBTI-> ENTP, Schooling and training and everything was blank. Difficult, this would be a difficult case to deal with.
How did you fangirl over him? Well, that's perhaps for another day.
"Excuse me, Ma'am. He's here." Your assistant opened the door with a knock and you felt your stomach sink, biting your lip nervously and clearing your throat to gain composure.
"Hey there doc!" there he was, with his magical grin and long palms raised up to his eye level as he waved. Wearing denims and a loose fitted white T-Shirt. Casual, cute, confident.
"Oh hello Hawks!" You manifested the same energy, greeting him respectfully by standing up and bowing a little. "Jeez, can't get rid of the name yet huh?" He chuckles, though your mind has already starting to process if it was a fake one, the carefully crafted hero chuckle or was he genuinely this chill.
"I don't think so, whether or not you do hero work, you own the name." you responded with a smile, ushering him to take his seat. Oh he manspreads, leaning back and getting comfortable. Makes you wonder if he can see through the cracks of your personality just as you're trying to see in his. Who will unfold who first…
You closed the client book you had, looking into the beautiful goldens of his eyes and making eye contact. "So, I know the first session is usually the most awkward one. People try to get to know their shrink before letting themselves to open up." You glanced, and Hawks looked like he would devour you whole. He looked invested in your words, not in a faking concentration way… in a 'I will listen to what you have to say' way.
"Allow me to share some stuff about myself then, my name is Y/N. I am a therapist good morning. Apart from that, I like to participate in various hobbies like kickboxing, journalling, playing games, spending time with my cat, yada yada. I am an INTJ, I think MBTI has started taking the same wavelength in Japan as Korea huh? Everyone's obsessed with em' I think."
"Well" Hawks clicked his tongue, clearly unamused by your introduction, it was brief and curt. Not a fair deal for someone who will unravel him… then again, you are his therapist, not vice versa.
"I think so too, do you know, a lot of the fans pretend to be INTJs because they tend to be compatible with ENTPs?" He chuckled, rolling his eyes. God he does know everything… there was a whole article about this. "We could do the quiz together if you have your concerns." "Shyeah- no, I don't. Just sharin' yknow?" he winked, noticing how you nervously pressed your legs together. He was wearing Killian's Angel Share, and Bad Boy… one of your favorite scents & the effects were almost affecting you almost at a subconscious level.
"Mkay, gotcha! So, anyways… I don't want to force you to open up, take your time in it. Let's start simple. How are you?" You asked Hawks, and for a moment, the barest of seconds, you could see his eyes turn to a void. "Yeah, good, never been better you know? Vacationing now that I have a sick ton of money with practically nothin' to do. Ain't gonna waste it otherwise by being depressed."
You clicked your tongue, oh he would not open up huh? Well, not that you expected this to be an easy ride either. "Yeah, of course. Money does help… helps everyone. At the end of the day I'm sitting on this chair to be paid a hefty by you." You hum, crossing your legs and getting comfortable too. This would be a fierce mental war already. From the determination of a hero and from a healer who's been sought out by the same hero.
"Then again, it isn't everything."
Oh except if you could tell that to childhood Hawks, it was… it was everything. His eyes pale with the answer a little. "Led a very comfortable life haven't you?" He smirked, giving you a miniscule opening.
"Yeah, luckily." You responded, smiling… "Clearly you haven't."
Hawks stood silent at that, and that was an answer enough.
"You were a rich kid since you started your agency, was this your teens or childhood?" Before Hawks could decipher, the session had already begun.
"Well, I was the viral news subject after they found out I was Thief Takami's son." He raised a brow, and you nodded. "Shitty murderer dad, mum?" You felt bad on being so professional, but you also felt Hawks would push you away if you were too kind. Some people have stopped treating him as a person ever since All for One had taken his quirk away.
"Mum was well, absent, mentally." He responded, and shrugged. "Dad was abusive, used to beat me up as a child and mum was too engrossed in her own shit I suppose. Happy for her that she has a new life with a new husband and new kids." It was amusing how Hawks didn't sound salty about it… it could only mean detachment to the finest. A befitting coping mechanism.
"You didn't have to go through that, I'm guessing if I needed to ever, talk to baby Hawks, I can't have a childhood photograph?" You glanced hopefully. "Nah, not a single childhood photograph. Dad was too paranoid of things and mum didn't care."
"We usually uh, have this exercise you know? That you'd keep a picture of your childhood self at your bathroom mirror and remember who you're talking about whenever you feel self-doubt." You smiled, looking into his eyes with empathy but no pity.
"Well, too bad." He chuckled, embarrassed and definitely not liking this emotion.
"Who cares at the end of the day, it's just the first few years of your life." He responded again balming his own thoughts more so than talking to you.
"Yeah, but every phase of our life is important. When your father abused you, hit you, didn't you feel enraged? Or scared? Or both?" You bit your lip, trying to mentally detach as much as possible.
"I felt nothing. I just wanted to not end up like them. If I was as angry as him, then I would become like him. Even my childhood self knew I'm better than that." There was pride in his eyes when he said so.
"True, yes, however… no expectations from your mum to save you?" Hawks shook his head no, shrugging. "She'd get beaten up too."
You nodded, not writing anything down on the paper just yet.
"Alright, I want you to do something for me." He raised a brow when you said that, "I don't want us to traverse further until you try doing this, mkay?" You grinned, "Imagine someone coming to your home, breaking the door at the moment of your abuse, that someone is you. The big, pro hero, you. Then, I'd like you to hold little Keigo's hand, and take him out. How about that?"
Hawks gave you an expression which was a mixture of 'How absurd' and 'Interesting'.
"Do that for me, and do that as many times and in as many scenarios you feel like you needed to be protected. You needed to be healed from." You coo softly… meanwhile Hawks' brain lagged at you saying 'Little Keigo'. So far he thought you didn't know his name… despite it being telecasted worldwide. No, you just refer to old Keigo as Hawks, but little Keigo isn't Hawks… he's just Keigo.
Was he reading too much into this? Would you soon bridge the gap between little Keigo and Hawks? Would you call him Keigo too?
The alarm clock chimed, time was over. You glanced at it and then back at him. "Well, guess you wouldn't be bored anymore, of me." "Hey, give yourself some credit little Shrink." he winked, smirking, "You're really good at this, can't wait to see you next time." "Don't come until you don't do what I asked." "Sure thing jeez."
With that, he left, and you could almost kill yourself at the way you tried to imagine little Hawks in pain. No, attaching to clients is the biggest NO. Yet, you can't help but feel positive tingles at the thought of him doing that little exercise and telling you about it.
Until next time, Keigo Takami.

‘Useless, A word that perfectly describes me’ you thoughts.

Three
Four
Numbers you counted as you slide the blade across your thighs. Thighs that so many said was ugly. They said “you’re too fat. You should lose weight.” “You don’t deserve to be with hawks,”
Words that hit you harder than any punch. Words that give hurt to you. Nothing matters but him. Nothing matters to you more than him. You want him to be happy but you see yourself as a burden when you where the vary thing that kelp him sane. You didn’t know that.
The moment you saw that crimson feather knocking that blade away. You knew you screwed up, you let him see the last part you never wanted him to see. He stood there in shock of what infront of him. His golden eyes that always wad filled with a hope and a shine of happiness, now dull and filled with hurt and worry.
You said nothing as you just started cleaning up like nothing had happened. It was only a matter of a few moments that he would leave you, like everyone else did. To your surprise a hand gently put your actions to a halt. Hawks got on his knees not caring for the blood that was spilled, you blood. The fact that is was yours made him sick to his stomach. He held you, pushing your head gently into his chest as one hand on the back of your head and the other on your waist.
“Please say something, Anything. Please don’t do this agian please.”
A man you knew to be have always worn a glided mask crumbling at the sight of you hurting yourself.
Empty . You felt empty as he held on to you desperately. He was horrified at that fact he could loose you. He didn’t want to let go. You said nothing as silence filled the room.
A moment after he let you go, he didn’t say anything but help cleaned you up. You didn’t rejected him but in your mind it only cemented that fact that you were nothing but a burden to him.
Once he finished he guide you to your shared bedroom. Once agian holding you as he desperately wanted to know why you did what you did.
“Kid, why? Why hurt yourself?” Was all he was able to say.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“YES IT DOES! You matter. Whatever made you do this to yourself.. I want to protect you from it.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I love you and I don’t want to see you do that to yourself so please let me in and let me help you. Like the way you did it when my life went to hell. When I was in my darkest moment you pulled me out. So let me in.”
“You should just leave me.”
“IM NOT LEAVING YOU LIEK THIS!!” Hawks raised his voice.
This was a surprise to you no matter the argument he never raise his voice at you, not until now.
“Just leave me… like everyone else did.” You said looking away. You couldn’t face him not like this.
“I’m here now, aren’t I kid? I’m not leaving even if you pry me away. I want to protect you, I want to be someone you can lean on. What kind of hero would I be if I let my beloved hurt herself.”
You said nothing.
“Please,______ I need you. I want you. I’m not going anywhere. “ he tightened his grip on you.
You finally gathered the courage to look towards him. It was you who hurt him. Seeing the hurt In eyes made you feel guilty.
You gently patted his golden locks “I’m sorry. Don’t be upset.”You look at him and gave him a small smile.
He knew all too well what your expression is. It was one he used often to cover his true feelings. One he could se straight through but Hawks didn’t understand why you were apologizing to him.
“It’s okay to not smile all the time. You can be real with me.” He said.
It was a saying all to familiar to you, words you offered as comfort when he need. Now those same words used on yourself. You dropped it after a moment, it wasn’t fair to him.
“Sometimes it’s just too much.” You said “when you feel like you don’t matter. All I am is someone’s problem. Someone useless the world doesn’t need. I’m not someone to be cried over . You shouldn’t have to worry about someone as useless, worthless and ug-“ he stopped you.
“Don’t belittle yourself like that. You’re so much more. You always bring joy to those around you. You’re kind and always thoughtful of others. You’re the most prettiest and compassionate person I know. You’re nothing close to being useless.” He said looking straight into your eyes, “whenever you have those thoughts agian, come to me. Let me show you just how great of a person you are, love. My sweet babybird.”
Your eyes widen as you hear his word. Words that had never been used to describe you so sincerely. Words that hits you like a warm ray of sunshine. Something about Hawks’s ernsty hit you hard, harder than any puncn, kick, or mean words. You couldn’t stop your own tears from flowing. Your hands raised up to grab him and hold him just as tightly as he held you. You sobbed letting all those years to frustration and self loathing out. He held you, rubbed your back and wrapped his wings around you. Shielding you from the rest of the world.
“I love you.” He said “don’t ever doubt that.”
The both of you stayed like that for a hour or so. Form then on Hawks was even more careful around you and always keeping and eye on you. Hawks never wanted to catch you like that ever again. He praise you at every chance he got, took you out went you felt down.
You started your healing with hawks, he was with you all the way.

🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤
Keigo's grip around the pen tightened, his whole body shaking, wings ruffling. He couldn't bring himself to sign the divorce papers.
The two of you had broken up months ago. After a rather wild start to your relationship, but nevertheless, a deep love shared between the two of you, not even a year later, you were married. And then your relationship ended in disaster.
But the love he had felt for you never ceased.
A sob hitched in his throat when the pen slid out of his grasp. "Please," he pleaded, head hung low, "don't just walk away from me."

So ik you don't usually do hawks but, is it possible for a hurt no comfort one where reader slowly pushes him away for reasons he doesn't know? (Youve been popping up alot on my "for you" and I love your dabi writing) gender netural pronouns Please
Honestly, this is great timing because I’m writing an angsty scene with Hawks in my long fic. I got really inspired by this request so it’s in drabble format. This could be read as either platonic or romantic. I hope I've done your request justice!
Hawks x reader who pushes him away

It’s the second week in a row that you haven’t responded to any of his texts, any of his calls, or even any of his knocks on your door. Just seeing his name on your lock screen is taxing enough as is. Hearing his voice on a call or standing in front of him was out of the question. Ghosting him was about as much as you could do.
But this decision is far from impulsive, despite how sudden it must seem to him, if he even noticed your quiet feelings at all. No, this was a long time coming. It took you awhile to rationalize it in your head, to figure out what you needed to do. Your first solution was to ignore it. You quickly realized that approach just wouldn’t work.
Everytime he was with you, all you wanted was to laugh with him, to stay up late talking anything, to lie next to him peacefully, like you used to. But you couldn’t. The laughs you gave at his jokes were strained, the conversations you had were disingenous, your slumber at his side was plagued with unpleasant dreams. Everything involving him was colored with darkness, tainted by the gnawing thoughts in the back of your head. Keeping up the facade felt like slowly suffocating.
For your own sanity, you pulled away. Bit by bit, day by day, you cut yourself off from him. You spoke to him less, you saw him less, and you spent more time alone. It helped, for a while, until even your mediocre false-front left you feeling far too drained. It all just reached a breaking point two weeks ago, when you finally accepted the truth.
You couldn’t pretend anymore.
This has to end.
Which brings you to now, hearing Hawks knock at your door for the fifth time this week, desperately asking if you were okay, if he had done anything, if you could just speak to him once. You feel paralyzed. You can’t move from your spot on the couch, completely immobilized by the sheer fear of him being so close to you, separated by a mere wall. The anxiety and sadness you feel in this moment keeps you anchored down.
“Dove, please just talk to me. I’m begging you,” he pleads. You can hear the desperation in his voice. His confusion is painfully clear. Your eyes burn when his voice breaks and he begs, “Please. Just please. Let me fix this, tell me how to make this right. I don’t want to lose you.”
Hearing his grief feels like a knife to the heart.
But as much as his devastation hurts you, you don’t have the courage in you to look him in the eye, or to even say a word to him through the door.
The tears start trailing down your face, and accompanied with them the urge to let out choked wails of genuine pain, but the thought of him knowing that you’re home forces you to swallow down your sobs. Any wails that manage to worm their way out of your throat are bitten down and muffled into your hand. Had the door separating the two of you not been so thick, you would be able to hear that Hawks isn’t fairing much better than you. Shaky exhales escape his lips as his heart aches with the pain of losing you, for good.

Where’s your mind?
Keigo Takami x Fem Reader ¡ angst/fluff !
Tumblr media
Warnings : fluff/angst story, toxic love, words inherent in death, reader and Hawks suffering, swear words.
Synopsis : you have just been left by your boyfriend for another girl, your heart is broken as you run away from what was your home to end up in a corner of the city to suffer in silence, hidden from prying eyes, not knowing that someone would find you by chance...
Length : 2k+
Part: 1/2(?)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You didn’t know how you found yourself crying in a seedy corner of a remote street in the city center, you didn’t really understand how you got there. Perhaps the tears had dazzled your eyes to the point of not understanding where to go to stop you.
Your chest was so sore you could barely breathe properly; your heart was pounding, you almost thought you were having a heart attack as the rain wiped your tears from your face. You held your sweatshirt close to your heart as you tried with all your strength to stifle the sobbing and the small desperate cries that came out from the neurosis of crying.
Why? Why me? What did I do wrong? It’s my fault... I’m so stupid.
Words like that sounded in your head.
You felt like a total moron asking questions like that while your now-ex-boyfriend is definitely staying with the other woman.  He had left you after four years of relationship, four years where you had given every part of yourself; your heart, your love, your body, the attentions, the affection... all of yourself. You were torn apart in a relationship with a Leech who sucked your life from your lips. Four years where you accepted his screams, his outbursts, his insults, his violence, contempt and disinterest.
By now you were a doll with which he used to vent his cravings sometimes, until he got tired of you and found a new toy to have fun with.
He didn’t need you anymore, and your efforts to look as beautiful as the first day were in vain. You had started putting on a lot of makeup, going to spas, hairdressers and shopping more often, but nothing had worked.
He didn’t look at you, he didn’t love you for a long time now, just enduring and cold.
Stupid.. STUPID. STUPID! You used to say to yourself while you were hitting your head with your hands, like to drive away the idea of him and everything you did for his sake. You were hoping to be sucked in by those cold walls and the concrete, totally disappear off the face of the earth, never to be found again.
You were now crouching, letting the rain swallow you, as memories of you resurfaced in your mind, wounding you more than the situation itself was. You were hating yourself so much, finding yourself sobbing as pathetic as you seem to be on the ground like a homeless, and crying like a baby.
You didn’t even hear footsteps approaching you, much less the presence of someone who had stopped in front of you, if it wasn’t for a voice that had just come to your ears you definitely wouldn’t have given it any attention.
< Hey... All right? Can I help? > A soft, low, worried voice hit your ears, taking you away from your thoughts.
You looked up slightly, as if to look at the person who had stopped for you and you hardly recognized him. Maybe the last person you expected to see in a situation like this was Keigo, your best friend. He usually didn’t come out in the night rain, he didn’t particularly like to get soaked when he came home, so it was strange to see him standing in front of you.
Your eyes swollen with tears, face plump, hair ruffled and disheveled, surely you were not a beautiful sight.
His wing was already above you, acting as an umbrella to keep you from getting wetter, and then offering his hand to stand, remaining silent and looking at you with concern.
< Who did this to you, my angel? > he said when he found you standing in front of him, still sobbing and shaking. He took a strand of hair behind your ear, caressing your cold cheek with extreme delicacy, wiping away some of the tears falling from your eyes
< I-I am such a fool.. > you answered between sobs to the other, and then hugged the boy, hiding your face on his chest, letting him caress your hair.
< No, you’re not, my sweet angel. Let’s go home, you’re soaking and shaking, you’ll get sick if we’re still out here. >
< I don’t want to go back to my house, please, don’t make me go back there... > you begged in the sobs on his chest. He sighed and began to doubt to why you were in those conditions.
< All right, princess. Let’s go to my house, okay? > he said, getting a motion of approval from your head and then took off his waterproof jacket and gave it to you, carrying you to his house in his arms, covering you with his wing and letting the rain wet him.
You didn’t know this, but that boy was madly in love with you since kindergarten, where he first met you and found you beautiful. He never dared to go beyond friendship with you, he respected you too much to be so selfish as to ruin a good friendship for "his stupid feelings".
He had never made you miss anything and treated you like a Queen, never once he had discredited you or raised his voice, always remaining genuinely enchanted by you, remembering how fantastic you were. He never hid his admiration for you, always giving you compliments and sweet nicknames.
But you couldn’t see, you couldn’t see how much love you could get from someone like him.
How could you not notice his loving gaze? How did his heart accelerate against your ear when you hugged him? When he blushes slightly to see you smiling carefree and babbling about your day. How he enjoyed your perfume those times you fell asleep in his bed after a movie. His smiles at seeing you with his baggy clothes on, finding you pretty damn pretty. How he looked after you and defended you from everyone.
No, you didn’t understand, you never would have understood... But he accepted it, he only needed to see you happy... even if this happiness was due to someone else.
Once you arrived at his house he made you sit on the sofa and fetched towels to dry you, even though there was little left to dry since you were completely soaked in water. Nevertheless, you wiped your face and covered yourself with the soft towel that was full of his perfume. Keigo was gently drying your hair while your forehead was resting on his shoulder.
< You want to talk about it? What happened?  I-I know it’s none of my business, but I’m worried about seeing you like this... > he started, with his usual calm and sweet voice, that made you feel so... calm.
< He left me, Keigo. And it’s all my fault, I’m such an idiot! Pathetic and insignificant... >  exclaimed in tears. It hurt you to say you were left, but you couldn’t understand the pain you caused in him when you addressed such offenses to yourself.
Keigo stopped drying your hair and pulled you from your chin, making you raise your head until your eyes crossed. With his free hand he took off some locks of hair that covered your face and gave you a comforting smile.
< My angel, you are neither pathetic nor insignificant. You don’t know what a wonderful person that asshole left behind. You’re perfect and he doesn’t deserve your tears, mhm? > he said, stroking your wet cheek.
< Y-you’re just saying that b-because we’re friends... you don’t know h-how it feels to be broken up... it hurts, Keigo. It h-hurts so much, please make it stop... please... make it stop> Your voice was broken and pleading, you wanted so much to stop suffering, rip your heart out and throw it into a ravine, but you couldn’t. You were in tears again, feeling so insecure about yourself, horrible.
Keigo remained silent, his gaze became saddened and instinctively embraced you, caressing your back with extreme delicacy.
< I too... suffered for love, you know? she was so unreachable... you don’t know how many times I found myself like you. I was suffering like a dog, Hoping that one day she would reciprocate my feelings... but it never happened. But I’m here, I’m fine and I’m moving on. > said whispering. < it’s normal suffer for this, a sweetheart like you could not do the opposite. But it will pass, I promise you. It will not hurt so much > continued as he held you to his chest.
< Who’s the d-dumb ass who didn’t realize what a w-wonderful boy she lost? > you asked to change the subject and not think about your ex anymore.
The boy smiled sadly and looked at you. How could he tell you that you were the fool?
He sighed slightly and stroked your wet hair.
< No one you know... but never mind, it was just an example to make you understand that all is not lost, my angel. > he said.
< Why doesn’t he love me...? I did everything for him, Keigo, I-I swear. Everything... but-but for him I was never enough... Never pretty enough, never attractive enough, never good enough. Why am I not like her? She’s so beautiful, beautiful eyes, wonderful body, sweet voice, handsome hair, she dresses like a model.... she’s perfect, so perfect. So much better than me... >  you looked down sobbing, feeling a total mistake < I hate myself so much... > you concluded by letting yet another tear twist your face.
You pulled your hair slightly and scratched your head slightly. Keigo took your hand to stop you from hurting yourself, holding it firmly and taking your other hand.
He felt a stab in the heart for every tear you shed, every bitter word to yourself. He would have wanted to give you his eyes to see how magnificent you were
< Y/n, that’s enough. You’re beautiful, the most beautiful woman in the world! You’re smart, beautiful, funny. You have these eyes... these beautiful eyes that are just so... and this hair, wow. And that wonderful smile... ahhh... Your voice so sweet that it could melt even the coldest heart, your wonderful personality, your...> he stopped for a second when your shiny eyes met his < Fuck. You’re just so... beautiful, my angel. Why don’t you realize you’re perfect just the way you are? Any sane guy would want to be with a woman like you. > he said blushing immediately after, realizing too late the words he had told you.
You didn’t expect such a confession from him and you were speechless, you didn’t really know how to answer and you blushed with a dry face.
After a few minutes of silence, you began to speak again in a trembling tone.
< Oh god, you must think I’m a crybaby... I’m so sorry to Ruin your night with my problems... I’m such a fucking mess > you said changing the subject and pulling your hands away from his grip. Your faces still red for the previous conversation
.< I would never think that of you. You’re perfect, even when you cry for an asshole, birdie. > pinched your cheek and made you smile slightly. < Exactly what I wanted to see. Smile, princess, 'cuz there is nothing more beautiful than you. God, I would kill that bastard who took this wonderful smile from your lips. > he concluded, making you blush again.
< Thank y-you Keigo, you are a wonderful best friend > you answered, not knowing that you had just thrown yet another arrow at his heart, hurting him with that "friend". He smiles slightly, suppressing the pain that was being born in him.
< Anything for you, you know. > The blond ruffled your hair. < Are you hungry? > he asked after a few minutes.
You nodded slightly and he retrieved an envelope with fried chicken inside, offering you half, which you accepted with great pleasure.
< He w-wouldn’t let me eat fried chicken... he said I’d get fat. > you laughed sadly.
< That’s because he’s an asshole. You’re beautiful and you can eat whatever you want. > He sighed back. he always hated that guy who treated you like a trophy to be displayed and to vent his sexual cravings.
< How sweet... i-is really good this chicken > you concluded while you pulled up with your nose, giving more bites to fried chicken.
Keigo looked at you lost in your movements, smiling at your ways, finding you so genuinely beautiful. Yet another look in love crashing into you that you didn’t notice, it was almost frustrating for him.
Because you didn’t see him, he was there, in front of you, madly in love despite everything. You could have been so happy, the solution to the pain you were in because of your ex.
< You’re special, Keigo... no one could stand me as long as you. That’s why no one will ever love me, I’m such a bore. > You said turning towards him, making your noses collide.
< I don’t have to put up with you, it’s a pleasure to help you, my angel... > he said blowing words on your lips, making you wince. < ...and only a fool wouldn’t fall in love with you, you’re perfect. >
He once again carried a lock of hair behind your ear, always staying close to you. You didn’t really understand what he was doing, and neither was he, lost in your eyes as he did it, almost hypnotized. Meanwhile the air between you two became more and more dense and tense, breathing each other.
< Keigo... what are you... > you said in a low voice and then looked at his lips so close to yours. You didn’t know why but you approached him, remaining for a breath distant. You looked back into his and laid a hand on his cheek, taking the blond boy back from his hypnosis.
He walked away from you and sighed heavily, red in his face and evidently embarrassed. He took his hands in his hair, ruffling them and then looking down < I... sorry, I’m such a fool. Forgive me y/n, I don’t know what I was th- > you stopped him approaching him again, took his face in your hands gently, and then laid a sweet kiss on his lips.
He was surprised, staring out his eyes and standing still, then kissing back, letting go for once. His heart was pounding as he hugged your hips with a delicacy foreign to you, you were accustomed to rough strokes from your ex, but he kept well away from your ass, limiting himself to caress your hips.
The kiss got wetter because of you and he had to break away from you. You weren’t clearly in your right mind and he didn’t want to take advantage of your moment of weakness to get something out of you. He wasn’t that guy, and he couldn’t do this to you, not after so long that he kept it all inside himself so he wouldn’t ruin anything.
< We shouldn’t... You’re not yourself, you just broke up and surely this is not something you would do with a clear mind. I can’t take advantage of you like this... > he sighed, his heart still racing.
Your eyes were lost and you couldn’t tell if it was a gesture of kindness or rejection. < I-I'm so sorry... sorry.... I shouldn’t have kissed you, I’m so embarrassed, God. Forgive me... I- > You said away from him, red on your face.
< No, it’s all right, you’re not yourself, I understand. > he said kindly
< I-I should go now, it’s getting late. > you answered and then you got up and left the towel on the couch.
< It’s pouring, please, stay. > he said taking you from the wrist, holding you there.
< It doesn’t matter... really. > you didn’t look at him, turning your back to hide your embarrassment.
< Really, stay, nothing bad happened... if you go out you’ll get cold, you better take a shower > he proposed < At least take off your wet clothes, please. > He went on with a delicate tone and managed to convince you.
You ran away from his grip, without saying anything, and you went to the bathroom to wash yourself, leaving him alone in the living room.
Keigo scratched the back of his head and re-curled his hair, calling himself mentally stupid. He felt a profiteer on the one hand, for continuing your kiss and allowing you to start something wetter; but on the other hand he thought about how soft your lips were, on the good cherry flavor they had and the way they looked for his with such impatience.
He didn’t know what to think.
Now if on the one hand you were suffering from your recent breakup, on the other hand you were confused about your true feelings for your best friend, on the other hand you always liked Keigo, he had always treated you well, but as a friend ? You couldn’t have feelings for your childhood best friend. You were just friends... just friends... just... friends?
Friends don’t kiss, do they? Not even when one of them is emotionally unstable... right?  Maybe it was just a mistake of the moment. His lips were so close to yours... so inviting and soft. It wasn’t so wrong, just a fleeting mistake, it wouldn’t have happened a second time...
...but maybe a third and a fourth yes, who could know?
Maybe you were confused by the situation or you were starting to see that guy with other eyes, because you liked that kiss more than you should have.
---------------------AUTHOR'S NOTE-------------------------------------------------------------
This time I leave you with something different, an angst a little fluff.
I’ll probably make it two parts to make it more sad and painful for you and poor Hawks, but I’m not entirely sure.
See you next time!

I broke up with him months ago. i still see him in the hallways and not one thing has changed about him, except maybe his new girl 2 or 3 times.
but i think i’ve changed.
i don’t have the same grey sheets anymore, i changed them to the white flowery ones i wanted to use before i met him.
i redyed my hair to my favorite color, instead of his. i changed up how i style it too.
i changed my face care routine. i use pimple patches, and i have a curology package i pick up tomorrow.
i switched out of that art class i always saw him in. i always felt trapped with him in that small, cramped classroom.
i don’t sit with my friend group anymore. i don’t even sit in the cafeteria, and instead i sit out on the roof when it’s not raining. i sit alone.
i changed the polaroid photos hanging on my wall to photos of just me, or the moon.
i don’t carry around rose quartz anymore, i only carry black obsidian now.
i think im falling in love with someone completely different that him.
someone that hopefully will be able to give me enough love as i give them. someone who will not let me down over and over, someone who i don’t beg to change.
someone who will change, because they want to.
because they want to keep being able to stay by my side, and fall in love with me, and grow with me.
if he wanted to stay, he would’ve.

Melted with a kiss
CW: pregnancy , yelling, swearing, unprofessional relationships, spoilers for hawks backstory if you aren’t caught up, this is a hawks x oc
A/N: Nightfall is my OC’s hero name, and Evaline is her first name
Tumblr media
It was a normal day at Hawks’ agency, all of the sidekicks out working and hawks in his office doing some well overdue paperwork, everyone was doing their part all except for one . The only thing that was out of the normal thing was that he hadn’t seen or even heard from you in the last few days, while it’s normal for him to not see you for a couple days since you’re more of an independent and fast paced worker who didn’t really like to work with other people , you’d usually send him reports and other stuff but he had received nothing he was getting worried but he trusted you and knew that you could take care of yourself. So he continued with his paperwork until he heard a knock on his door
“Come in” he shouted
He was expected literally anyone but you, but he was happy to see that you were ok, kinda honestly to him you looked so tired the bags under your eyes are more visible than ever, your eyes were puffy like you had been crying and you were shaking like a leaf.
This was not the confident, head strong, ready to cuss him out at second, take on an army of villains sidekick that he knew, not at all.
“Um hey nightfall, I’ve been a little worried about- you cut him off with words he never wanted to hear come out of your mouth
“I quit and I want to break up”
you said these heart breaking and gut wrenching words with little emotion on display.
His heart sank, he was dumbfounded and in disbelief, he had never seen you like this, this was not the Evaline he knew
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, I wish you the best have a nice life.”
You turned to walk out the door when all of a sudden it slammed shut, you see hawks’ feathers move pass your eyes as they return to their owner
“Hold on just a gods damn minute, you don’t just get to walk in here and say that you quit and want to end our relationship and just leave! what the hell?!”
he didn’t mean to raise his voice at you but after everything you two have been through he at least deserves an explanation
You subconsciously flinch at his volume and tone, but quickly collect yourself “I want to quit and break up that’s the end of it.” you just wanted to get this over with
"What do you mean by 'that's the end of it'?" he asked angrily, clearly upset and hurt by your decision "Do you think I'm some kind of idiot who will accept something like this without question? This isn't how things work!"
“I just don’t want to work here anymore and I don’t want to be in a relationship with you either so what more is there?”
“A fucking reasoning, you can’t just drop a bomb like this and expect me to just say “oh ok bye bye” like you know damn well I don’t work like that!” He takes a deep breath before he continues "we've worked together for five years now, we built this agency from scratch together, We're partners! How can you throw all of that away?!" he shouted, tears starting to well up in his eyes. He couldn't believe that you would just abandon everything they'd worked towards together.
You were his first sidekick and the first person to work at his agency when it opened, you two worked endlessly together to build a foundation for this agency and look where you are now, you’re his right hand and he’s the fucking number two pro hero, and he set records with how fast he made up the charts but the world would never know that he didn’t do it alone that he probably wouldn’t be the hero he is today without you. Even with the commission’s training, it was you who showed him the best ways to use his skills, it was you who taught him the best techniques to take down villains, it was you who showed him the best parts of himself that he didn’t even know he had.
It was all you
“I- “
you look away and only then does Hawks see something in your eyes
Unease, uncertainty, regret
He slowly reads you like a book, Hawk looks down into your eyes, seeing the pain and anguish within them, he slowly walks forward until he is standing directly in front of you. “Look I’m sorry for raising my voice and yelling at you but baby I deserve an explanation right? I mean after all this time don’t you think it’s just a hella unfair for you to just leave me like this?”
“P-please don't call me baby anymore” you lower your head even more to hide your tears
Hawk takes a deep breath before speaking again, trying to calm himself down before he speaks.
“Clearly I can tell that you don't want to do this and there's something you're not telling me, l'm a trained pro hero Evaline you can't really hide a lot of things from me. Baby I mean Evaline please just talk to me”
you take a deep breath and look him in the eyes your blue ones meeting his gold one, he always said your eyes reminded him of the ocean and space due to your heterochromia
I'm pregnant
Well…shit
He definitely was not expecting to hear that YOU were expecting, there’s no doubt that the little fetus inside you is his, keeping in mind that you are very antisocial he’ll you’re so antisocial that some of the people in the agency don’t even know who you are and you guys are co-workers for Celestia sakes.
Hawks freezes and for once in his life he has nothing to say, hell he doesn’t know what to say or what to do, for a brief moment he genuinely thought about just letting you go, just letting you walk out and never see you again, Sure it would take him months if not that years to find a suitable replacement for you but it’s not impossible, that agency wouldn’t collapse if you were to leave, that’s how the world works, someone starts something and when they can’t finish it someone else will, you helped raise this agency from the ground, he continue your work but…
He loves you, he loves you so much that the mere thought of never seeing you again makes him feel like his world is ending you are his world, the love of his life, you made him happy when to other his happiness wasn’t important, you made him feel normal in his not normal life. He has no family, no siblings, his parents aren’t suitable for a parental role in his life, the commission may have “raised” him after his mother sold him to them and they may have trained him but they weren’t like family to him. No one holds a spot in his heart like you do, the way he wishes to just take your hand and run away from this life and start a new chapter but that’s not possible so he’ll have to settle for this right now.
He is snapped out of his thoughts upon seeing your tears.
And that’s when it hits him
It hits him like a fucking brick
You’ve been suffering
You’d been suffering for so long, worrying about how this very interaction would go and everything that would follow afterwards. It’s clear that you didn’t want to do this, he could tell that you wanted to stay here and continue to be by his side so why were you doing this?
“Evaline, look at me please”
“I-I can’t”
“Yes you can I understand now you’re scared, you’ve been dealing with this all on your own and I can see why you would want to leave the agency but why would you leave me?”
“Because what about you!?”
“What”
“What about your reputation and your career, everything you’ve worked for will down the drain if it gets out that you impregnated your sidekick?!”
“Evaline, it wasn’t just my work that built this agency it was you too”
“But still-“
“No, I love you and I will never stop loving especially after 5 years of knowing you, caring for you and so much more don’t ever forget how much you’ve done for me, and I would love to raise a child with you knowing how much of a amazing person you are, I’m so sorry for making you think you had to deal with all of this on your own, but just know I’m here baby and I always will be”
By the end of his speech, his warm hands are cupped around your face as tears fall freely, you feel all your worries and doubts fade away. Sweet relief floods your mind and heart as Keigo’s words engraved themselves into your brain
“I love you so much Evaline”
“I love you too keigo”
And with that all the pain and sorrow of yesterday was melted away by a kiss

Prologue
Taglist: @ekkoismyhusband @itsalicewickedmcgee @sasa-slayer
---------------------
Once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens; and from this drop of sun grew a magic, golden flower. It had the ability to heal the sick and injured.
There was one particular woman who frequently used the flower's power.
You see, the woman knew her youth and beauty were fading. She used the magic of the flower to rewind the clock often, becoming fully reliant on it's abilities.
Centuries past and a kingdom grew and flourished. The kingdom was ruled by a beloved king and queen. And the queen, well, she was about to have a baby, but she got sick- really sick. She was running out of time and that's when people usually start to look for a miracle; or in this case, a magic, golden flower.
Instead of sharing the sun's gift, the woman, Yu Takeyama, hoarded it's healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years. All she had to do was sing a special song.
'Flower gleam and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine~'
Alright. You get the gist. She sings to it, she turns young.. creepy, right?
While the Kingsman were searching for the flower, she had created a camouflaged covering to hide it. Though during her last visit to it, she accidentally knocked the wicker off hiding from the guards which allowed them to dig it up and bring it back to the queen.
The healers brewed the flower into a special tea and the magic of the golden flower healed the queen. A healthy baby girl, a princess, was born with beautiful, flowing hair.
I'll give you a hint.. that's Y/n.
To celebrate her birth, the king and queen launched a flying lantern into the sky. And for that one moment, everything was perfect.
And then that moment ended.
.
'Flower gleam and glow'
The young princess's hair began to glow.
'Let your power shine'
The woman -now turned old once again-lifted a lock of the child's hair..
'Make the clock reverse'
She brought out a pair of shears.
'Bring back what once was mine
What once was-'
She snipped the lock, effectively stopping the magic and returning her to a shriveled version of the beauty she was becoming once more.
Just then, sirens blared throughout the castle. There was an intruder.
Without much choice now that the flower was gone, Yu had little choice but to take the baby lest she wanted to fade into nothingness...

Will lose sleep over finding you and even after finding you too
Carries you to the medical wing himself cause he doesn't want to be apart from you for a second
Breaks into tears once the fight with your kidnappers is over
He's hard to understand cause his voice keeps cracking from worry
Visibly tired but stays up the whole night anyway to make sure you don't have nightmares

Very brutal and angry while he fights, so much so that he's the one who looks like the bad guy
Scares the living shit out of everyone but you
Holds onto you like his life depends on it
No one else can touch you, he barely even lets doctors do it
Snaps his fingers and makes angry sparks while he waits
Gets even more protective, real guard dog energy
Does not allow himself to cry in front of you
Tumblr media
Shoto keeps a cool head while looking for you
Even when he's talking to your kidnappers he's calm
The only time his composure cracks is when they threateen to hurt you in front of him
A noticable drop in temperature happens right then
He's a little less careful when fighting if your life is on the line
Won't hesitate to use his fire quirk as a a scare tactic
Gets almost as scary as his dad
Cools any injuries you have so it's easier for you to handle them while you get actual medical attention
Doesn't realize half of him is burning while the other half of the waiting room wall is frozen solid
The first thing he does when he sees you is kiss you
Tumblr media
Mirio tries to keep his composure but it's cracking fast
Those who know him best can already see how worried he is
Always pushed himself far but esoecially now, he's all over the place
Snaps at his friends when they tell him he's pushing himself too much
Makes really quick work of your kidnappers, he can't stand the sight of them
Talks very little while fighting so you know he is rightfully pissed
Nothing can keep him out of your room that night
Makes sure to smile around you a lot
Cries as soo as you tell him you can see how much pain he's in
Has nightmares for a few days after
Tumblr media
Keigo flies all over the city in a wild frenzy
Almost crashed a few times because he kept pushing his wings to their limit
Close to pasing out when he finally finds you
He is not in a mood to hear what the kidnappers want
Just wants them gone and you safe in his arms
Only has a few feathers left so he needs to make this quick
Doesn't stick around for any press talk or picrures
To be honest he doesn't see this as something people should know to many details off
You need to get home where he can keep an eye on you and look you over for injurues but it looks it's just a few scratches
As soon as his wings grow back he wraps them protectively around you
Tumblr media
Touya is surprised anyone has the nerve to kidnap his girlfriend
Your kidnapers must have a death wish
Makes a very big and loud enerance, they should all know how much trouble they're in
Almost kills all of them in his anger, the only thing that makes him pause is your crying face
You've already been through enough today, he won't add you seeing him like a killer
But these guys won't ever think of kidnaping everyone ever again
If he could he would put you in a box and never let anyone so much as see you
Does give you as much freedom as you need however he insists that he's always with you from now on
Seems like his fearsome reputation is no longer enough to keep you safe
He'll glady make examples of anyone who tries to hurt you

Hawks x Dead Reader
Synopsis: Hawks thinking of you and reacting to yoru feat after a villain murdered you.
Warning: Death, angst, Sad Hawks
____________________________________________
‘You can’t be gone’ was the first thought Hawks had when he saw the carnage before him. Collapsed buildings surround him and you. You were on the ground unmoved with civilian. They were sad looking down on your body as they tried their best to help you. Hawks got a call a villain was a mist and came as fast as he can. He remembered you were on patrol in that area so he was extra speedy. The villain in question was only a few feet away from where you three stood, passed out with considerable damage on him.
He froze he didn’t know what to do. He’s love is now on the ground bleeding without a trace of life. The civilian started to talk “They.. saved me. They blocked me from all the fighting and they stopped the villain but the villain….”
Hawks snapped out of it and went to hold you in his arms, desperately searching for any semblance of life.
“ H/n told me something before they passed out. They said that they had a note in there pocket and make sure if they don’t make it to tell someone. I’m sorry… I’m sorry I couldn’t do more.” The civilian said as their voice was shaky.
After a few seconds Hawks finally spoke “there’s an ambulance that way. If you can’t walk I can take you.. just give me a moment.”
He sounded so dejected, the usual humor and cheer he had was gone. He wanted nothing more but to hold you and cry but he had to make sure the civilian was safe. The civilian nodded and went the direction that Hawks had pointed. As soon as the civilian was out of sight, he broke down. He nuzzled his had into your neck as he clung on to you as he cried. He knew, he knew you were gone but he can’t believe it. He couldn’t accept it.
“Please baby. Please wake up….” He knew but he still begged you to stay. Still begged you to open your eyes hoping that this was just a nightmare.
A few minutes passed but before a few more hero’s came to the scene. They saw hawks holding you as he cried. They knew they shouldn’t intervene, they saw how much Hawks cared for you, they saw how desperately he clung on to your cold body. They left him alone, dragging the unconscious villain away.
He searched your pocket remember what the civilian told him.
“Dear Keigo,
If your reading this, I am dead. I keep this pretty updated; after all being a hero is dangerous. I never know when will be the last time we see each other. There’s a lot I want to say and do with you but fate had other plans. I know how you are love, and I want you to know if we did have a argument before then I forgive you or if I was at fault, I’m sorry. My birdie… my love… my life. Thank you. Thank you for being my one and only. Thank your for being my hero. I want you to be happy without me. Find someone better or not just be happy. If not for yourself the for me. I know it’s tough, I probably break if I knew your were dead too. I know your going to have a hard time moving on but just know; no matter where I am or what I am (I might be a ghost haunted you oooOoOoOoooOo) I always love you. If there a great beyond then I will be waiting at the gates for you. Oh and there a box of stuff under my side of the bed is for you, to keep or to burn.”
He held you close for another hour before he carried you away from the scene. Hawks eyes never left your face. He was focused on getting you out. The heros had to pry him off of you. He loved too much to see you go, even if he knew that you were no longer with him.
Your funeral was a blur to him. Hawks had completely shut down after your death. He didn’t try to keep up his image, his once cheerful demeanor was gone. He no longer interacted with fans, no longer gave them any smiles, he just did his job. When he finally was ready he went and found the box you had left him.
It was a memo box, full of all your favorite moments together. There was photos, a book full of your thoughts, gifts you had planned to give you and the one that hit hard the most was the little trinkets you kept that he gave you. Hawks always gave you whatever he saw that he liked, that was his bird instinct coming out. He find little things to give you from his patrols whether it was a shiny rock or just some random thin go he found on the ground. You were always happy to see those gifts. Hawks looked at every item with love and sadness. It was the first time he smiled after your passing. Memories of you, and those gifts you left him was all so important to him. That box and everything in it was most his most valuable and cherished items along with all the photos of you together.
He knows you want him to live happy and he will try. Hawks wanted to create new memories to tell you when you find each-other once more. It doesn’t matter where he is he always remember you always think of you would like the place he went or things he did. He always will be yours and only yours.
“Baby, I wonder if you’re watching right now…. I miss you. When we meet agian I love to tell you all the things I did. I hope you’re happy wherever you are.”

“shut up and fuck me already,” you say, frustrated and annoyed. your partner breaks the sloppy mess of a kiss to look at you, his lips curling into a snarky smirk. “can’t be patient, can you?” he mutters, his hot, panting breaths grazes on your skin as he pulls your body more into his. “I know I’m hot, but I didn’t know to you im irresistible,”
“don’t get it to far into that head, bird brain.” you bite back as you hear his annoying voice chuckle at your eagerness. His hand grips your neck as he forces your eyes to look into his, his hips grinding into you..
“always for you, sweetheart.”

"How can you still call me a hero," Keigo said, eyes wide, "when I'm pretty much useless now."
You could feel the tears pricking your eyes, but you'd stay strong for him. He needed you, now more than ever.
Resting your forehead against the scarred skin between his shoulder blades, the huge red wings that had adorned his back once now gone, you wrapped your arms around his torso.
"There's more to you than a few feathers," you whispered, feeling his body go rigid at your touch. "You will always be my hero, Keigo. You're always shining bright for me."

「How BNHA Boys would react if you get rejected by them only to start dating their friend after they comfort you」
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⤷ Bakugou
bakugou never needed anyone, and he felt great like that; that's what he always said and that's what he said when you declared yourself to him. he didn't feel remorse or sadness until he saw you moving on; a mix of emotions took over him when he saw you being happy with someone else, being loved and valued. he felt selfish seeing you like this, but mostly he felt horrible for letting you go and realizing his feelings too late. he would try to talk to you, but not in a nice way because he doesn't know how to do that; his feelings are taking over him, his anger and selfishness taking over his thoughts and words, which made you move even further away from him. which made you hurt even more. but you wouldn't need to worry about that because you have someone who would take care of you and help you heal your scars, while he only had himself because he never needed anyone… he thinks.
⤷ Deku he was confused about his own feelings and didn't want to involve you in this confusion, so he just let you go. at first, he thought it was the right thing because he thought he didn't feel anything for you, he didn't see you the same way you saw him. but these thoughts came at the exact moment he saw you with someone else. he didn't feel anything for you, right? so why now does his chest feel like you took his heart away? why does he miss you? he just looks at you from afar while you laugh at the joke that your 'friend' told you - the same friend of his, that he told you everything. the same friend who caught you when he let you fell. he just takes a deep breath, swallowing hard as he tries to look away. but he can't, you trapped him and he knows it won't be easy to escape. he knows it won't be easy to let you go. not this time.
⤷ Kirishima
he thought his friend would just laugh at the situation, but no, his friend got angry. why did he hurt you? why didn't he value you? why was he finding all this funny? the two argue and kirishima tries to put it aside; it's over now, none of that matters anymore. but, when he saw you and your friend being happy, he felt the weight of the consequences of his actions. he was childish to have found the situation funny or to have bragged that he didn't want you - when, in fact, all he wanted most was you. he knows there's nothing to be done now, so he just sits with his feelings, trying not to drown in a sea of guilt, disappointment and regret.
⤷ Todoroki
he just didn't know how to show his feelings. he couldn't say or demonstrate anything, just look at you scared while you opened your heart to him. from his reaction, you imagined that he didn't feel the same way and that your feelings didn't mean anything to him, so you just asked him to forget everything and left, trying to connect the pieces of your broken heart. you haven't seen each other since then, and the moment he sees you again, he becomes unresponsive again. you moved on. you learned to love and accept being loved by someone who truly values you and loves you the way you are; someone who knows how to show their feelings. he stays still, unresponsive again, just letting his heart shatter in his chest into pieces so small that he feels like they will never mend again.
⤷ Denki
he wouldn't mind so much at first, actually. you declared yourself to him, he didn't feel the same way, you say sorry, he makes a joke about the situation and you don't talk to each other anymore; breaking that bond of friendship and trust that you had. he was fine for a few days, but then regret came like a wave; why did he do that? he was so blind, so lost… he shouldn't have let you go. but when he looks for you again, it's already too late. you are with someone else; someone comforted you when he left. someone who truly loved you. someone who isn't him. he feels terrible like never before, but there's nothing he can do. he tries to be happy for you, he swears he tries, but he knows he will never really succeed.
⤷ Tamaki
when you first declared yourself to him, he was paralyzed. he didn't know how to react, it was as if the world had stopped as he tried to find himself. his silence was like a nightmare to your ears, which made you imagine the worst and he did nothing to change it; he just distanced himself from you because he felt like he was drowning, like he couldn't breathe next to you. after that you walked away from him because you couldn't look at him after what happened, but he could look at you with his friend; he didn't know if you two were together or not, but he felt his heartache like never before in his chest. and he wondered why. why couldn't he say anything? why did he feel his heart break for you after losing you? why couldn't he be different?
⤷ Shinsou
he was so used to people's rejection and fear that he was confused and lost when you confessed to him; he didn't know what to say. he didn't know how to tell you this, but he wasn't ready. he didn't want to trust anyone else just to have his heart and soul broken again. then he pushes you away, leaving you and him broken because he loved you dearly, but not in the same way you loved him. he thought it would be the best for both of you, but it was the best for you that you found a better person and finally cured yourself of all the nightmares of your past. and he can only observe; with a broken heart in his hands as he realized he lost the love of his life, the only person he truly loved and trusted, and who loved him back, but he realized his feelings too late.
⤷ Hawks
he started making so many excuses and reasons why you shouldn't be together that he made you think the problem was you. and it broke you completely. he was truly sorry about that, but there was nothing he could do when you started to walk away and fix yourself with someone else's help; a person he trusted. he knows it's too late to apologize or take it back, and he doesn't want to take away that bright smile of yours off your face after all he's done for you. so he just watches from afar with a broken heart and empty eyes as you find your home in someone else's heart.
⤷ Dabi
he didn't want a relationship right now and he wasn't ready to share his life with someone, so he broke your heart in ways you didn't even know were possible. but seeing you moving away from him made him feel a huge emptiness in his heart; a void you've filled for so long. and when he saw you with someone else finally being happy and free, he realized he made the biggest mistake of his life. he didn't know how much he loved you and how much he wanted you until he finally realized that he lost you in someone else's arms. but he has to pretend he's okay with it because, after all, he's the one who broke your heart.
⤷ Shigaraki
he always felt something different for you, but he didn't want to destroy you like he did all the other people that came into his life. so the best option he had was to lie and say he didn't feel the same way about you. he knew it would hurt, but it was a pain he could heal and leave only a scar…right? he's sorry he hurt you that day and he'll never forget that, not after the day he saw you with a new person. and this person - who swore to be his friend - made you so, so happy. and he hated himself for knowing he could never give it to you, but he hates himself even more for not even trying.

7 MONTHS LATER
Lying in bed, the white sheets felt crisp against your skin, almost blinding when you first opened your eyes. A gentle smile adorned your lips as a powerful, calloused hand reached out, delicately brushing a strand of your Y/H/C hair off your cheek. Turquoise eyes, wise and filled with affection, met yours. Touya smiled, his long fingers tracing the contours of your face.
"Do you know you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life?" he rasped, his voice carrying the remnants of a fading dream.
You nodded, recalling the numerous times he had expressed the same sentiment before.
"I mean it," Touya insisted. "I always thought Christian women were average, but you, my love, you're beyond beauty. You're a goddess. I can't take my eyes off you."
A soft smile played on your lips as you took his hand in yours, bringing it to your lips to kiss the place where scarred skin met healthy flesh.
Touya hummed, his gaze fixed on you. "I still can't comprehend why you love me. I held you captive. I ripped you out of your land. And I look like a monster."
Frowning, you moved, sitting up with a quilt pressed to your naked chest. "Stop it. You're not a monster in any way. Yes, our beginning was rough, but looking back, I am grateful you did it. There was nothing waiting for me there but an arranged marriage to some older man and a life of ordinary domesticity, taking care of kids and a homestead."
Touya grinned softly, his turquoise eyes holding a warmth that spoke of relief. "I'm happy you're not holding any grudges."
Shaking your head, you moved closer to him, laying your head against his scarred chest adorned with staples. "You're not only my lover. You're my best friend," you whispered, pressing a tender kiss to his chest.
His arm wrapped around your shoulders, fingers slowly rubbing the naked flesh, his quiet hum resonating within his chest with every breath he took. "So are you. You're the only one I trust."
Feeling his fingers lift your chin, you met his gaze before he pulled you even closer, brushing his slightly chapped lips against yours.
"Always," he whispered after breaking the kiss.
Tilting your head, you looked at him quizzically. "Hmmm?"
"I'll always love you, no matter what," he declared, his words filled with a sincerity that lingered in the air.
Leaning in to kiss him again, you felt his arm, still wrapped around you, suddenly go limp. Frowning, you looked down at him, only to find a pool of blood where Touya, your beloved man, once lay. He vanished like a fleeting mist.
Your heart pounded within your chest, a sudden fear gripped you as you called his name with all your might. "Touya! Touya!!!"
The room darkened, as if happiness had fled through the window, replaced by an ominous void. A sudden, searing pain gripped your abdomen. Clutching your stomach, you clenched your teeth, hissing as the unbearable pain washed over you. Trembling with waves of agony, you began screaming, choking on your own tears. "Touya! Save me, please!"
And then, abruptly, you woke up, gasping for air, the vivid nightmare fading into the recesses of your mind.
You looked aside, your gaze settling on Shoto sleeping peacefully by your side, one hand slipped under his head.
A scornful glare crossed your features as you pondered the man who had used you so many times, who hadn't hesitated to raise both hand and voice at you, the man who forced you to become his concubine. It baffled you that he could sleep so soundly.
How could he find peace in slumber when his hands were stained with the blood of his own father and older brother? The memories of his mistreatment of Natsuo, treating him like a discarded piece of trash on a daily basis, flashed before your eyes. You couldn't comprehend how he managed to find solace in sleep, bearing the weight of so many innocent souls on his shoulders. He had killed his own warriors, loyal to his father, without a second thought. The toll on Skjaldvargr was evident, with the population dwindling by half in the past month alone.
Shoto's apparent solution, letting cutthroats and offscourings from other settlements live among his subjects, only fueled your frustration. The ease with which he dismissed the lives lost and the suffering inflicted upon his own people left you in disbelief. As you watched him sleep, a bitter taste filled your mouth, knowing that the man beside you was responsible for a cascade of pain and death that stained the land.
With a heavy sigh, you touched your round belly, feeling the slight kick from your unborn child. "Hush, hush, my sweet child," you whispered, a tinge of sadness adorning your voice. "It's okay, we're good."
The revelation of your pregnancy had shaken your world. Torn between love for the life growing beneath your heart and a deep loathing, your emotions were a tumultuous storm. Shoto, forcing you to lay with him shortly after you lost your innocence to Touya, clouded the paternity of the child. The uncertainty haunted you, and you couldn't be sure whose blood flowed through the veins of the little one.
Praying dearly to Freya, you wished the child belonged to Dabi, not Shoto. The complexities of your emotions were woven into the fabric of each whispered prayer, as you cradled the tiny life within you, caught in the tangled web of past choices and an uncertain future.
Shoto stirred by your side, slowly opening his mismatched eyes, casting you a cold glance. "Why are you not sleeping?" he asked with an air of indifference.
Rubbing your belly, you spared him a brief glance. "The baby was kicking," you lied.
With a growl, Shoto sat up and pushed your hand off your belly, replacing it with his own. He rubbed soothing circles around the bump. "It's okay, little one, daddy's here."
A gag reflex surged within you upon hearing those words. Excusing yourself, you pushed his hand off your tummy and swung your legs off the bed, slowly getting up. "I need fresh air," you said simply, wrapping a thick bear fur around your shoulders.
Shoto scoffed. "You should be resting, Y/N. If you don't want to care about yourself, that's fine. I couldn't care less. But my baby needs some peace. Don't be fucking long," he growled, laying his head back on the pillow.
Without another word, you left the room as you sought solace in the cool night air, the thick bear fur offering little comfort against the chill that now surrounded you.
The guards in the throne chamber greeted you with acknowledging nods as you passed by.
The night air was cold, and tiny snowflakes swirled on a chilly northern breeze as you made your way through the Great Hall.
With a heavy sigh, you rested your back against the wall of the longhouse, your breath visible in the cold air with each exhale. The silence of the night surrounded you until a familiar voice broke through.
"My lady? Are you okay?" The figure emerged from the shadows, and before you could see his face, you nodded.
"Yes, Keigo. It's okay."
"Shall I wake the earl up?" the blonde-haired man asked, finally stopping beside you.
You shook your head. "No. We just talked."
As much as you harbored resentment towards Hawks for blindly following all of Shoto's orders, you knew the young man didn't have much of a choice. Natsuo had shared stories with you. Hawks, being older than Shoto and one of Endeavor's most loyal warriors, spent a significant amount of time around the young prince. He taught Shoto how to wield an axe and sword, how to fight, and how to survive in the cruel world. Endeavor's lack of time for his own children made Shoto grow fond of his older "colleague," and vice versa.
"You can't sleep again?" he asked, noting the weariness in your eyes.
You nodded quietly, your expression revealing the traces of a restless night. "Yeah, another nightmare with Touya," you confessed softly.
At the mention of Touya's name, a wave of emotions washed over you, and a few tears rolled down your pale cheeks. In an effort to regain composure, you bit your own knuckle, a physical anchor against the overwhelming memories.
Hawks watched you with a heavy heart, his concern deepening. “My lady, maybe…”
You shook your head in response. "Keigo, can I ask you for a favor?" you asked him.
The blonde-haired man furrowed his brows upon hearing your words but nodded slowly.
"Keigo, can you take me to the place where Touya died?" you asked, your voice steady but carrying the weight of the emotions you had long suppressed.
Hawks looked at you, concern etched across his features and a slight frown crossing his forehead. "Why would you want to go there, my lady?"
Taking a deep breath, you met his gaze. "I need closure, Keigo. For months, I've been haunted by the memories. I can't move on until I confront the reality of where it happened. I just... I just need to see this place. I want to pray there. I just... I just need it."
He sighed, realizing the depth of your pain. "Are you sure about this? It won't be easy, my lady, as the earl surely won't let you go."
You nodded, your eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and resolution. "I have to do this. It's the only way I'll find the closure I've been seeking for months."
Keigo stood before you, torn between his loyalty to his earl and the plea you bestowed upon him. The weight of your words seemed to reopen old wounds that he had long tried to bury. "I'll see what I can do, my lady," he finally said, nodding his head with a conflicted expression.
He left just like that, leaving you alone in the quiet night.
Alone, you rubbed your tummy softly, seeking solace in the warmth beneath your hand. "Save us, Freya," you whispered as you hoped for protection and guidance in the tumultuous journey that lay ahead. “Save us from Shoto.”

7 MONTHS EARLIER
When Touya woke up, all he could think of was pain. Unbearable, burning pain that seemed to spread all over his body, with a particular intensity in his legs, even though they mostly felt numb.
The first moment he opened his eyes, he found himself in an unfamiliar place. Strange faces surrounded him, leaning down, their hands touching his face and shoulders. A potent herbal scent enveloped him, making him want to cough and vomit.
The women treating his wounds seemed a little scared, their eyes betraying a mix of apprehension and discomfort at his appearance. This made Touya not only feel uneasy but also fueled his desire to leave this unfamiliar place as soon as possible.
One day, when Touya awoke to find Earl Yagi Toshinorison by his bedside, he immediately understood his surroundings. He was in Toshinorison's settlement, known as Hvinverjadalr.
"It's good to see you awake," Earl Toshinorison greeted with a warm smile as he approached the young man lying in bed. "Are you feeling well today?"
Dabi, still recovering, looked up at the earl and responded with a hint of sorrow in his voice, "I feel pain, my lord. The wounds are healing, but it will take time."
Earl Toshinorison gazed sternly at Dabi, his eyes betraying a mix of curiosity and authority. He raised his hand, gesturing to the maids who were tidying the chamber. "Leave us," he ordered with a commanding tone.
The maids exchanged uneasy glances before hurriedly exiting the room, leaving the Earl and Dabi alone in the dimly lit chamber.
Silence lingered for a moment before Dabi broke it. "What happened?" he asked, his memory clouded with fragments of being sent north by his father, along with his younger brother and a contingent of warriors.
Earl Toshinorison, known for his calculating mind, cocked an eyebrow, considering Dabi's question. The earl regarded the injured man with a measured expression, his voice calm. "You were found by two of my warriors under a cliff, accompanied by the lifeless body of a massive wolf," he disclosed, his eyes studying the scarred features of the man before him.
The revelation hung in the air, a puzzle waiting to be solved. The details surrounding the scene raised Dabi's questions. "I... I don't remember..." he whispered.
"I need you to tell me everything you remember," the older man commanded, his voice firm yet tinged with curiosity.
Dabi, looking perplexed, met the earl's gaze. "The only thing I remember is being sent by my father north, along with my younger brother and our warriors, my lord."
The earl cocked an eyebrow, a calculated look in his eyes. "And who's your father?"
"Endeavor is my father."
Toshinorison jolted up from his chair, a frown crossing his forehead as he processed the unexpected revelation. "Endeavor? You're Endeavor's son?"
Dabi nodded solemnly. "I am. My name's Touya. I'm Endeavor's eldest son."
The revelation lingered in the air, casting a shadow over the room. The gravity of the truth seemed to echo through the walls.
Toshinorison sat back down, his gaze focused on Dabi's face as he spoke, "I'd never thought in my wildest dreams I'd have one of the most skilled warriors of Denmark under my roof." A soft smile played on the earl's lips, a genuine appreciation for the warrior's capabilities evident in his eyes.
Dabi nodded, acknowledging the earl's words. Gratitude shone in his eyes as he thanked Yagi. However, he wasted no time in getting to the pressing matter on his mind. "When will I be able to return back to my settlement?" he inquired, his tone a blend of eagerness and caution, uncertain of what the future held.
Earl Toshinorison looked down at Dabi, a solemn expression clouding his features. "Touya, your injuries are serious," he began, his voice carrying a weight of concern. "I won't allow you to leave until your body is fully healed."
Dabi met the earl's gaze, a mix of defiance and frustration in his eyes. "I appreciate the hospitality, my lord, but I've got responsibilities back at my settlement. I need to return."
The earl nodded understandingly. "I comprehend your predicament, but I cannot permit you to depart in such a state. Your health is of utmost importance. Once you're well, I'll personally ensure you're escorted safely back to your settlement."
Dabi's scowl deepened, but he couldn't deny the genuine concern in the earl's eyes. "And how long is that going to take?"
Toshinorison sighed, his gaze unwavering. "As long as it takes, Touya. I won't risk your life by sending you out prematurely. Your well-being is my priority now. With broken legs that would take several months to heal."
Dabi's frustration erupted. "A few months?!" he exclaimed, sitting up with a grunt, his face contorted with pain. "I don't have that much time, my lord. They must've thought I died."
Earl Toshinorison gently pushed the scarred man's shoulder, compelling him to lay back down. "Easy. I promise I'll send an envoy to let your people and father know you're alive," the older man reassured. "But, as I said, you need to stay with us a little longer. Once you'll be able to walk, I'll admit my best warriors to help you regain your fighting prowess."
Dabi nodded gratefully as earl Yagi got up. "Thank you, my lord."
Earl Toshinorison smiled faintly, nodding his head before he exited the chamber, leaving Dabi alone with his thoughts.

It took Hawks a few days to set everything in motion for the trip with you. The blonde-haired Viking hesitated to bring it up with his earl, struggling to find the courage.
Fortunately, the situation became more manageable when Shoto departed to meet earl Gizzor, who resided in the northern part of Sweden.
This afforded Hawks the opportunity to make the necessary arrangements without drawing undue attention to your impending journey.
Natsuo attempted to dissuade you from the idea, expressing concern about the risk involved in such a trip given your advanced stage of pregnancy. However, you were adamant and chose not to heed his advice.
One afternoon, the thralls assisted you in donning warm clothes, while Natsuo helped Keigo prepare a horse – a stallion that had once belonged to Touya.
"Don't try anything," Endeavorson snarled quietly, ensuring the proper placement of a snaffle on the stallion.
Keigo frowned at the younger man. "What was that supposed to mean?"
"I don't trust you," Natsuo replied, his expression tense. "I expect you to take good care of Y/N during this trip."
"Of course I will," Keigo retorted, his brow furrowed. "I serve the earl as best as I can."
"Of course, you do," Natsuo growled, his gaze intense. "If a single hair falls off her head..."
"Then what, my lord?" Keigo asked, his tone challenging. "What will you do?"
"I'll kill you." The words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the seriousness of the responsibility Keigo now carried for your safety.
Keigo scoffed and casually walked closer to Natsuo. "Don't forget, my lord, that earl Shoto ordered me to take care of his concubine," he reminded with a wry tone. "So, do not fret, she's under good care."
As Keigo delivered his reassurance, you left the longhouse and headed towards the stable, where you found the men. "I'm ready," you announced, a sense of determination in your voice as you prepared for whatever lay ahead.
Keigo assisted you onto the horse, ensuring you were comfortable in the saddle. Soon, he mounted his own mare, a skilled rider at ease with his steed.
Natsuo walked over to you, his touch soft as he stroked your knee. "Be careful, Y/N. Stay close to him," he urged, casting a glance towards Keigo.
The hawk-eyed warrior, however, shook his head disapprovingly, silently expressing his disagreement with Natsuo's wry comment.
You nodded at Natsuo, promising to stay out of trouble.
Endeavorson acknowledged with a subtle nod and moved aside.
Hawks took the reins, urging his horse forward, and you followed closely behind.

The ride stretched across nearly two days, each passing hour marked by your repeated requests to halt. The biting cold gnawed at your bones, and bouts of dizziness swept over you, making it challenging to endure the relentless journey. The unforgiving weather seemed determined to test your resilience, forcing frequent pauses as you battled against the elements.
The landscape unfolded before you in a blur, a monotonous panorama of snow-covered terrain and desolate wilderness. The horses pressed on, their breath forming misty clouds in the frigid air. The repetitive rhythm of hooves against the frozen ground echoed the weariness that settled in your bones.
Each break served as a temporary respite from the relentless cold, a chance to regain your bearings before the journey resumed.
The trip passed mostly in silence, a thick tension hanging in the air. You found yourself at a loss for words, unsure of what to tell Hawks. There were things you assumed he knew, things you suspected he did, and the unspoken assumptions lingered between you like a heavy fog.
The rhythmic sound of the horses' hooves filled the air as Hawks finally mustered the courage to breach the unspoken divide. "How is it between you and earl Shoto?" he asked, his voice cutting through the chilly silence.
You glanced at him, the weight of the unspoken hanging in the air. "Complicated," you replied, choosing a word that barely scratched the surface of the intricate web of emotions.
Hawks raised an eyebrow, a mix of curiosity and concern in his gaze. "Complicated how?"
You scoffed at his question, a bitter laugh escaping your lips. "Are you seriously asking me how it is with him? You well know how. He's ruthless, and it doesn't change when we're alone. No, instead, he's even worse than when we're around people. I know he doesn't care about me. All he cares about is power and the fact I might be pregnant with his child. If it turns out it's Touya's, I'm sure he'll order his men to kill me and the child. So, nothing good is awaiting me," your voice carried a heavy burden of sorrow. "Even if the child is his, I'm sure he'll take the kid away from me and exile me," you added, resignation coating your words. "Either way, I'm fucked up, Takami."
He nodded thoughtfully, the lines on his face deepening. "I see."
The quiet lingered again, the horses' hooves maintaining a steady rhythm. The unspoken truths hovered in the air.
Hawks finally stopped his horse and dismounted.
Your horse halted as well, and Keigo, with a silent understanding, moved to assist you off its back.
Hawks pointed his chin north, indicating a small prominence in the distance. "It's there," he said, gesturing with a subtle nod. Without further words, he began walking in that direction, and you followed, the crunching of snow beneath your boots filling your ears.
Hawks stopped at the top of a small hill, near a cliff. "That's where he fell," he explained, his gaze fixed on the spot below.
You hesitated, feeling the strength drain from your knees as you slowly approached the edge. As you looked down, the world seemed to blur, and a wave of emotions crashed over you, a mix of fear and sorrow.
Hawks reacted swiftly, rushing to you with concern etched on his face. He wrapped his hands around your frame, providing support and shielding you from the potential of falling.
The warmth of his touch and the protective embrace offered a fleeting sense of security amid the storm of uncertainties that surrounded you.
“Y/N,” Hawks whispered quietly. “Do you want to sit down?”
You shook your head, hot tears streaming down your cheeks. "I can't, Keigo... How... how could that have happened?" you asked him, your voice choked with disbelief as you clutched his forearm. "He is... he was a great warrior..." Strong sobs shook your body, the weight of the loss pressing down on you like an unbearable burden.
As you shook your head, tears streaming down your cheeks, he felt the weight of your grief and the burden of his past deeds pressing on him. The realization of the consequences of his actions began to dawn on him, and he started to rethink the choices that led to this moment. A somber silence settled between you, echoing the heaviness of the loss and the reevaluation of past decisions in the cold air.
You slowly sank down to your knees, not minding the cold snow beneath you. Pressing your hands to your heart, you gasped for air, the freezing wind ruffling your Y/H/C hair. "I know I shouldn't be crying over a man who ripped me off my land, but I forgave him long ago, and I love him so dearly... I forever will," you whined, the weight of conflicting emotions pulling at your chest as grief and love intertwined in a tangled dance. "I just wish I could tell him how much he means to me... to us," you added, gently rubbing your baby bump. With an empty gaze, you looked into the white void surrounding you. "I don't exist without him. I don't want to live without him." The words carried a profound ache, echoing the depths of your love and the fear of a future without the one who had become an integral part of your existence.
"Y/N..." Hawks whispered, placing his reassuring hand to your shoulder. "We should go back."
You looked at Hawks, your eyes demanding answers. "What happened here, Keigo?" you asked directly, the urgency and concern evident in your tone. "I know... I just feel in my bones you're not honest with me."
Hawks hesitated, reluctance painted across his features. "It was nothing," he replied vaguely, avoiding direct eye contact.
"Nothing?" you scoffed, frustration lacing your words. "You can't just stand by and watch Shoto destroy your settlement. Are you blind, Hawks? Blind to the destruction he causes, the lives he ruins?" The disappointment in your voice was palpable. "I may not be one of you, I'm a foreigner, that's true, but even to me, Skjaldvargr became home, and it truly hurts to witness it sinking under the spearheading of Shoto. Keigo, we need to stop him," you dared to say through sobs, raising your head to look into the man's golden eyes.
You saw Keigo hesitating, and deep inside, you sensed that a part of him agreed with your words. However, he remained silent.
Lowering your head, hot tears gouged trails in your pale cheeks, falling to the frozen ground beneath you. "He's going to get rid of us all once he doesn't find a purpose for us anymore. Mark my words," you whispered, the weight of your foreboding sinking into the cold, silent air.
Keigo suddenly opened up, his usual guarded demeanor faltering for a moment. "Look, Y/N, it's not that I can't see the destruction. It's just... I'm bound by loyalty. Loyalty to Shoto, even to his father Endeavor, may Allfather let his soul rest. As a warrior, it's not easy to defy the orders of those you've sworn allegiance to. I've known Shoto for a long time, since he was a little child, and I watched him grow. He's a fierce leader, a warrior of unmatched skill. And I swear to my life that I'll protect him." He sighed, conflicted emotions evident in his eyes. "But I do see your point. I can't ignore the destruction, the pain he's causing. It's tearing me apart too."
You slowly got up, looking up at the warrior. "Keigo," you whispered, your voice filled with a newfound understanding. "At first, I thought you were just a dumb marionette in the hands of Shoto, and I hated you with every fiber of my being. But now, I understand. There's only one way you can be freed, and that's by defeating Shoto. Do you think that's what Endeavor would want for his people, for his home?"
Keigo lowered his head, a heavy sigh escaping him. "Y/N, I've questioned my loyalty before, but it's not that simple. Defeating Shoto would mean betraying everything I've known, the code I've lived by. It's not just about me; it's about the years of service, the bonds forged in battles. But," he hesitated, glancing at you, "I can't ignore the destruction he's causing."
You looked up at him with sparks of hope in your eyes. "We need to do something. I don't ask you to stab him in the back. All I ask of you is not to stand in my way when I finally get a plan."
Keigo shook his head, and after a heavy sigh, and a moment of silence, he nodded, a subtle agreement to support your efforts.
You rubbed his shoulder gently. "Thank you for showing your true self, Takami," you expressed, a subtle gratitude in your touch. Glancing back above your shoulder, you shivered, not only from the overwhelming cold but also from the uneasy feeling building within your gut. "Let's get back home, shall we?"
Keigo nodded, and you both slowly descended the little hill.
However, you suddenly stopped. "Can you wait by the horses? I want to make a prayer," you asked, looking at him earnestly.
He agreed with a solemn nod, giving you the space you needed for your moment of reflection.
You found yourself in a white void, tiny snowflakes swirling in the cold breeze all around you. As you began to pray, your words were carried away by the frigid wind. "Oh, Allfather, hear my plea," you whispered, your voice merging with the stillness of the snowy expanse. "Grant my beloved Touya the rest among his ancestors in Valhalla. May he find solace and honor in the halls of the fallen warriors. Allfather," you continued, the words escaping your lips in the icy stillness, "grant Touya and Endeavor a reunion among the hallowed halls of your kingdom. Let them feast among the brave warriors, reunited in the afterlife. May their spirits know peace and camaraderie beyond the troubles of this world. I beseech you, Allfather, heed this prayer and let their souls find solace, together."
Your gaze shifted to the heavens. "Freya, goddess of love and guidance, lend me your strength. Guide me through the tumultuous path ahead. Even though I used to be a Christian, I am willing to pay with my life if needed. I believe in the power of your wisdom and protection. Help me, guide me, as I navigate the challenges that lay ahead. In your names, I find strength and solace."
With that, you let the silent void envelop you once more, the cold winds carrying your earnest plea into the vast expanse of the unknown.
Keigo waited for you and walked you back to the horses. With a gentle assist, he helped you mount Dabi's stallion, and soon, the rhythmic beat of hooves echoed as you headed back home.

The wind howled through the icy landscape, biting into the skin of Bakugo and Kirishima as they sat outside their hut.
Suddenly Bakugo scoffed loudly, his eyes fixed on a figure limping through the dirt path towards the longhouse of earl Toshinorison.
The man, using wooden crutches, struggled with each step, pain etched across his scarred face.
Bakugo's disdain was evident in his voice. "Tsk! Look at that cripple! He's not even able to walk without wincing like a pathetic bitch."
Kirishima shot his friend a sharp look and retaliated by throwing a tiny rock in his direction. "Quit it, Bakugo. He's not a cripple, and stop calling him names. He's Endeavorson, one of the best warriors of our times. That's not manly, calling someone names just because they're facing a tough time. It's only been three months since we found him, and he's already escaped death, man. Give him time," Kirishima huffed, turning his attention back to polishing his battle axe.
Bakugo rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. "Did you fall in love with him, huh, shitty hair?"
Kirishima shot him another glare. "Quit it, I said."
"Or what, idiot?!" Bakugo raised his voice, challenging his friend.
Kirishima rose from his spot, attaching his axe to his thick, leather belt. "Or I won't let you sleep near the fireplace tonight, man."
"Oi! Don't get offended at me just because of some stranger, Kirishima!" Bakugo retorted, but the red-haired man paid him no mind. Determination gleamed in Kirishima's eyes as he made his way towards the man walking with crutches.
"Hey," Kirishima called out, his voice cutting through the icy air. "How are you feeling, Endeavorson?" There was a genuine concern in his eyes, a stark contrast to the disdain Bakugo had shown earlier. Kirishima's approach was both unexpected and kind, catching Touya off guard.
Touya, unused to such warmth, stopped in his tracks, wooden crutches supporting his weakened frame. He looked at the red haired, tall man, surprise mingled with a hint of suspicion in his eyes. "I... I'm fine," he mumbled, unsure of how to respond to someone who wasn't avoiding him or hurling insults.
Kirishima didn't seem deterred by Touya's guarded response. Instead, he persisted, "No need to act tough. We," he pointed his head to the blonde haired man sitting near a little hut, "found you under those snowy cliffs, barely hanging on. Must've been a tough journey, huh? How's the healing going? You're not pushing yourself too hard, are you?"
Touya blinked, the concern in Kirishima's words sinking in. A small, appreciative smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he replied, "It's been... challenging. But I appreciate your concern. Not many here bother to ask how I'm doing, but I understand. They're afraid of me."
Kirishima nodded, a determined glint in his eyes. "Well, we're not all heartless. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," he smiled. "So were you able to remind yourself what happened on that cliff, man?"
Touya's gaze flickered with a mix of gratitude and hesitation as he continued to walk, Kirishima keeping pace beside him. The snowy landscape seemed to stretch endlessly, mirroring the uncertainties that clouded Touya's memory. "I... I've been trying," Touya confessed, his voice carrying the weight of the struggle. "But it's all foggy, like trying to grasp onto a dream slipping through your fingers, you know? I remember the biting cold, the shadows, and then... nothing. It's frustrating."
Kirishima nodded understandingly, his rugged features softened with empathy. "Must've been a hell of an ordeal. But you made it out alive, and that counts for something, right?"
Touya offered a faint smile, appreciating Kirishima's attempt to find a silver lining. "Yeah, it does. I'm grateful for the second chance, even if the details are elusive. Maybe with time, the memories will piece themselves together."
Touya's gaze lingered on the vast, snowy expanse, contemplating the unknown that lay ahead.
Kirishima, sensing Touya's internal struggle, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "We're here for you, Endeavorson. Whatever you're going through, you don't have to face it alone," Kirishima spoke with sincerity. "I most likely won't understand fully what you're going through, but you have a friend in me."
Touya nodded appreciatively, grateful for the unexpected ally by his side.
The path to the longhouse was accompanied by a comfortable silence, broken only by the crunch of their footsteps on the dirt path.
Kirishima decided to broach a topic he had heard from Earl Yagi. "Hey, Touya," Kirishima began, a curious glint in his eyes. "I heard from earl Yagi that you were eager to depart as soon as you woke up. What's the rush?"
Touya's gaze shifted, his expression momentarily distant as he recalled the urgency that had fueled his desire to leave. "Yeah," he admitted, a hint of vulnerability in his tone. "My family... they must've thought I died. I just wanted to see them again, let them know I'm alive."
Kirishima's grin widened, sensing there might be more to the story. "Is it just about family, or is there a special someone waiting for you, too?"
Touya's cheeks tinged with a subtle blush, and he averted his gaze. "Well, there is someone. I want to see her again."
Kirishima chuckled heartily, clapping Touya on the back. "Ah, love! Now it makes sense. A man's got priorities, that's so manly! You're not alone in wanting to reunite with your loved one. We all have something or someone worth fighting for."
Touya's embarrassment transformed into a bashful smile, appreciating Kirishima's understanding.
The imposing structure of the Great Hall loomed ahead, its massive doors beckoning them forward. Kirishima came to a stop, turning to face Touya with a determined expression. "Just so you know," Kirishima began, his voice carrying a tone of sincerity, "I and my best friend Bakugo, that forever-offended blonde you saw earlier, were assigned to help you regain your prowess in fighting once your legs work well again. And just don't mind Bakugo, he has an awful personality, but he's a great and skilled warrior."
Touya nodded appreciatively, grateful for the information and the support he was receiving in this unfamiliar place. "Thank you, Kirishima. I appreciate the help."
As they approached the heavy doors of the Great Hall, Kirishima stepped forward, taking the initiative to open them for Touya. The creaking hinges echoed through the hall as the doors swung open, revealing the grandeur within.
"Go ahead," Kirishima gestured, a courteous smile on his face. "Take your time. And you can call me Eijiro or Red Riot, whatever suits you better."
Touya nodded again, his gratitude evident in his turquoise eyes. He slowly made his way inside, the warmth of the hall a stark contrast to the cold exterior.
Kirishima remained at the entrance, waiting patiently until Touya had safely entered the hall. "Good luck in there," Kirishima offered a parting wish, his voice filled with genuine encouragement. "And if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. We're here for you."
With that, Kirishima bid farewell to Touya and turned to go about his duties, leaving the Great Hall behind him.
The heavy doors closed with a resounding thud, enveloping Touya in the welcoming embrace of the earl's domain.
Earl Toshinorison, immersed in the weight of his responsibilities, looked up from the documents as he noticed Touya entering the room. A warm smile played on his lips, and he beckoned for Touya to join him. "Oh, Touya, come here, come here," earl Yagi greeted, his voice carrying a sense of camaraderie.
Touya, despite the lingering pain in his legs, slowly made his way to a long table and took a seat on a wooden chair with a heavy sigh. "Any news from the envoy, my lord?" Touya inquired, his tone laced with concern. "Forgive me for asking about this repeatedly, but it's already been several days, and we haven't heard from them yet."
Earl Yagi placed a paper on the table and set the metal stylus aside, giving Endeavorson a knowing glance. "You're impatient, son. I'm sure we'll hear from them soon. Don't forget your settlement is nearly four days away from here," he reminded, attempting to assuage Touya's worries.
Despite the reassurance, an unfamiliar, unpleasant feeling lingered within Touya whenever he thought about his home. He hoped for the well-being of everyone there, especially Shoto, praying that he had managed to escape the looming threat they apparently faced together. And then there was you, his beloved woman, whose name rolled off Touya's lips every relentless night.
Touya nodded in acknowledgment of earl Yagi's words, yet the unease persisted. The distant wait for news from his homeland weighed heavily on him, and the yearning for assurance about the safety and happiness of those he left behind lingered like a shadow in the depths of his thoughts.

Shortly after returning from your journey with Hawks, you began feeling unwell.
A day later, Shoto returned from his own trip, only to find you in considerable pain, experiencing contractions.
The burden of sorrow and sadness weighed heavily on you, prompting an untimely and challenging childbirth.
You lay on the bed in earl Shoto's room, the sheets already stained with your blood and tears. The midwives bustled around you, their faces etched with concern. The pain was unbearable, like a thousand knives stabbing you with each contraction. You screamed, the sound echoing through the room.
Shoto paced back and forth near the bed, his face contorted with worry. "Help her!" he screamed at the thralls, his voice filled with pure rage. "Help her or I'll hang you by the dawn!"
They scurried to your side, wiping your forehead with a damp cloth. The pain was indescribable, a searing, burning sensation that threatened to consume you.
Shoto's face was pale as he watched the scene unfold. He glanced between your legs, his eyes widening at the sight of blood and gore.
Shoto's eyes darted away, an involuntary reaction to a scene that was unbearable even for someone who had witnessed his fair share of hardships. The weight of the sights he had seen in the past seemed to pale in comparison to what lay before him now. "Do something! She's in pain!" he roared.
"Push, my lady," one of the midwives urged, her voice gentle but firm. "You need to push!"
You bore down, your body shaking with the effort. You could feel the baby's head crowning, the sensation both terrifying and exhilarating. You gritted your teeth and pushed. You had never felt pain like this before, but you knew it would all be worth it in the end. "I... Can't..." you whimpered, your head rolling back to the pillows.
"Again, push now," the midwife said, her voice soothing. "You're doing great, my lady. Just a little bit more, and the baby will be here, my lady."
You pushed once more, using all of your strength, feeling the baby slip from your body, and you screamed in pain again.
The midwives rushed to clean the baby, their faces alight with joy. "It's a boy," one of them said, and you felt a surge of love and happiness as the first tears rolled down your flushed cheeks.
But your pain was far from over. The afterbirth needed to be delivered, and the contractions continued to rack your body. You screamed, the sound primal and raw.
Shoto's face was a mask of worry, but he remained silent, knowing that there was nothing he could do to ease your pain.
The midwives worked quickly, delivering the afterbirth and cleaning you up. The pain slowly began to subside, leaving you exhausted but relieved.
Shoto approached the midwife who was holding the newborn. After the baby was cleaned, it was passed to the young earl. He scoffed loudly, growing angry upon seeing a white down on the little boy's head and the pair of perfectly turquoise eyes slowly opening from time to time. "Fuck," Shoto growled with anger.
You begged the midwife to pass you the baby, and she took the baby from Shoto after he passed it with anger.
The baby was placed to your chest, and you slowly stroked the little head. It was Touya's child. Shoto's anger was now painfully clear.
You hesitated to meet Shoto's gaze, apprehensive of the storm brewing within him. His face was etched with pure rage, and for a moment, you feared his reaction.
Shoto, after a moment of tense silence, finally spoke, his voice cold and measured. "I should expect you to bear my deceased brother's child," he stated, his eyes locked onto yours. “Pathetic whore.”
As you glanced at him with a mix of fear and uncertainty, Shoto's expression softened slightly, yet you noticed a twisted grimace curling his lips. "However," he continued, "I'll raise this boy as my own son. Once you recover from childbirth, we'll lay together again. And again. And again. I'll ensure you give me my own heir."
You trembled at Shoto's words, the mere thought of having to lay with him again sending a cold shiver down your spine. The weight of his expectations, the complex emotions surrounding the situation, and the uncertainty of your future left you paralyzed.
Before you could manage a reply, Shoto simply left the room, leaving behind a lingering coldness in his wake. His parting words, a sharp and indifferent command to his thralls, hung in the air. "Clean that fucking mess."
You looked down at the crying baby nestled in your arms, his tiny features a poignant reminder of the complex emotions swirling within you. Gently, you pressed a tender kiss on the tiny forehead, feeling the warmth of your affection seep into the fragile being. "My little boy. My beautiful boy," you whispered, your voice a mixture of love, gratitude, and a tinge of sorrow. The tear that rolled down your cheek bore witness to the intricate tapestry of emotions woven into this moment.
With a heartfelt sincerity, you turned your gaze skyward and silently thanked Freya, the goddess who had guided you through this tumultuous journey. Gratitude filled your heart for the gift of Touya's son, a precious life that now depended on your love and care.
In the quiet moments that followed, the room seemed to echo with the soft cries of the newborn, a testament to the fragility and resilience of life. As you cradled the baby close, you vowed to navigate the challenges ahead with the same strength and determination that had brought you to this moment. And in the stillness of the room, you found solace in the love that already bloomed between you and the tiny soul entrusted to your care.
Meanwhile, Shoto sat heavily on the throne in the grand throne chamber, the weight of recent events evident in the furrowed lines on his forehead. The air in the room seemed thick with tension as he grappled with the tumultuous emotions swirling within.
Hawks, having learned from the guards that the child had been born, stepped into the chamber cautiously. "My lord?" he inquired, bowing respectfully to Shoto.
The red-and-white-haired earl glanced at his most trusted warrior, his expression a mix of frustration and agitation. "It's his," Shoto snarled, the words escaping his lips with a venomous edge. "He won't stop hounding me, even from the afterlife."
Hawks, recognizing the gravity of Shoto's words, remained silent for a moment, his keen eyes studying the earl's troubled demeanor.
"Is that Odin trying to punish me for my deeds? Apparently, the past never dies," Shoto's voice cut through the somber air, a question directed more to the invisible forces than to anyone present in the room. His mismatched eyes remained fixed on some distant point, as if seeking answers in the unseen. "All I ever wanted was to make Skjaldvargr strong like never before, so everyone would fear us," Shoto continued, his voice carrying a mix of determination and introspection.
As the room absorbed his words, Shoto's thoughts seemed to wander into the realm of self-doubt. "Maybe I made a mistake letting Touya die? Killing my father?" he whispered, the words almost lost in the echoes of his inner turmoil. A moment later, he shook his head, as if attempting to dispel the doubts that threatened to take root. "No. All these decisions were good."
Before the heavy silence could stretch further, a guard interrupted, stepping into the room with news. "My lord, an envoy from Hvinverjadalr pleads to see you."
Shoto's frown deepened, exchanging glances with Hawks, who maintained his silent vigil. With a reluctant nod, the earl acknowledged the envoy's request, setting aside the internal struggle for the time being to face the external challenges that awaited him in the form of the visiting envoy.
The guards led the older man into the throne chamber, where he was forced to kneel before Shoto, the earl of Skjaldvargr. Shoto, in a gesture of casual indifference, rested his chin on his hand, which was propped against an armrest of his bespangled throne, his mismatched eyes keenly observing the envoy.
The older man bowed respectfully and identified himself as an envoy from Hvinverjadalr, bearing a message from Earl Toshinorison.
Shoto's expression tightened slightly at the mention of the earl's name. All Might, known by that call sign, was a formidable adversary of Shoto's deceased father, Endeavor.
"What message are you bringing to us?" Shoto inquired, his tone measured and unwavering.
The envoy bowed once more before revealing the content of the message. "Our earl wants to let you know your brother, Touya Endeavorson, is well and alive in our settlement."
Shoto's eyes widened slowly, the weight of the revelation sinking in. The news was like a sudden gust of wind, sweeping away the hopes of his carefully crafted plans to turn true. A mix of disbelief and hope flickered in Shoto's mismatched eyes, and for a moment, the throne chamber seemed suspended in a profound silence as the implications of this unexpected revelation unfolded. “Is that so?” he ground his question out.
The envoy nodded his head, offering an explanation for the delayed revelation. "We didn't let you know earlier, my lord, as Touya was in a very serious health condition. Thankfully, Allfather helped him to survive and slowly regain his health."
Shoto's gaze shifted to Hawks, the unspoken understanding between them echoing in the charged silence.
Hawks felt his heart quicken within his chest, a mix of surprise and worry coursing through his veins. The news, while unexpected, carried a glimmer of hope, a flicker of a possibility Hawks hadn't dared to entertain until now. Perhaps Y/N words were prophetic?
Shoto's features remained composed, but the intensity in his mismatched eyes betrayed the emotions churning beneath the surface.
Shoto, with practiced ease, managed to summon a smile that did not reach his mismatched eyes. "Thank you for the news," he said, his tone wryly polite. The revelation about Touya's survival had stirred a tempest of conflicting emotions within him, and Shoto struggled to conceal the storm behind a veneer of civility. He leaned back into his throne, feigning casual interest. "Did my brother share any details about what happened?" Shoto inquired, a facade of genuine concern in his voice.
The envoy shook his head, "No, my lord. Touya doesn't remember much."
Shoto's grin, though slight, carried a complexity of emotions. It was a bittersweet acknowledgment, for while Touya's survival brought threat to all of Shoto's plans, the memory loss shielded him from the painful truth of Shoto's involvement in the events that had transpired.
"And for that wonderful news, you deserve a reward," Shoto declared, a saccharine smile playing on his lips. His gaze shifted to a guard, and with a small nod, the envoy's fate was sealed.
In a swift, merciless motion, the guard slit the envoy's throat, and the dying man was unceremoniously pushed onto the stone floor. The chamber echoed with the grotesque sounds of a life seeping away.
Shoto nodded at his guards, his demeanor betraying little emotion. "Clean the mess and dispose of the body," he ordered, rising from the throne.
Hawks approached the earl, his eyes reflecting a mixture of curiosity and concern. "What are you planning to do now, my lord?" he inquired, his tone laced with a sense of anticipation.
Shoto regarded him with a pointed look, his expression unyielding. "We are preparing for war," he declared, his voice carrying a resolute edge. "I won't allow our people to rally behind Touya. The truth of his survival will inevitably surface, that much is certain. So, we'll take the initiative. We'll inform them that my eldest brother, dear as he may be, has chosen to form an alliance with our notorious adversary, Toshinorison. It will serve as a perfect pretext to launch an attack on Hvinverjadalr, and sever the head of my beloved brother for his betrayal."
