Which cast do you picture in the Homeward Bound universe? Id assumed it was tom holland’s peter because harley doesn’t exist in the other spidermen’s movies but I also know you’re a Garfield-Spidey fan and that Harry Osborn and Gwen haven’t been MCU’d—just out of curiosity!!

okay hi this is the first of my current EIGHT unanswered hb asks omg. i'm !!!!! actually shaking with excitement about the fact that i'm about to get to ramble SO MUCH about hb holy shit. okay. okay.

so, obviously harley is based off ty simpkins, but i kind of?? like i mean, yes ty literally plays harley lmao, but also i picture him SLIGHTLY differently in my head. like how he looks in endgame i feel is a different vibe than how ty looks irl. i don't know if that makes any sense at all but i can't explain it, it's just like. he looks like ty but to the left. that's harley in my head. i cannot describe it any other way.

hb peter is 100% tom's peter because homeward bound is 100% canon compliant up to no way home (except for some headcanons such as peter having an uncle ben but uncle ben dying when peter was still really little in order to not fuck with the spidey home trilogy being peter's origin story - there are some other headcanons too that i can't remember off the top of my head, but i tried to make all of them align with mcu as much as possible as to not fuck with canon)

for harry and gwen it's not a spoiler for the most part except for one thing is kinda spoilery but not really? it reveals something about one of their characters that has not been established in the fic yet so just to be safe i'm gonna tag this w the spoiler tag and put it under the cut

okay so i'll start with harry

so there's a lot of variations with harry - sometimes he has brown hair, sometimes reddish hair, usually blue eyes, though i love the idea of him having green eyes because. i mean. duh.

i didn't really think of fan casts for him specifically in hb, i haven't really gone in depth with his appearance in any of the chapters, but @alwaysonlineau made the actor from love, simon, nick robinson, the icon for harry's account and now i kind of can't picture anyone else lmao. nick has hazel eyes which can look greenish at times so i'm here for it. also i loved his acting in jurassic world and in love, simon so i think he could pull off harry pretty damn well.

also i love that nick was in jurassic world with ty lmao. the ages are off obviously, nick is 28 and literally played ty's older brother in that movie, but for the sake of a fan cast i think nick when he was early 20's looks very Harry Osborn to me. at least he feels very fitting for fanon harry.

if someone were to actually play harry in the mcu i don't know if he'd feel super fitting, i've seen people mention harrison osterfield for mcu harry which i could see. i also looked through a list of harry fan casts and david mazouz looks harry like to me a bit. charlie heaton was also listed which idk if he could pull harry off but looks-wise i could kind of see. asher angel. i know timothee chalamet's name has been tossed around a bunch and i mean i think he could do it but he doesn't look like harry to me lmao. they'd have to make his appearance work for it.

maybe charlie rowe, who i also saw listed as a fan cast. asa butterfield was on that list as well and i could see the mcu going that route too. but in homeward bound, i pretty much just envision nick.

as for gwen stacy!

so, i thought this before @alwaysonlineau came back, and i know i'm not the only one because i've seen quite a few posts on here and other sites saying the same thing, especially after across the spider-verse came out and gwen had the trans flag and coloring and such, but i really think that hunter schafer would be an INCREDIBLE gwen.

it hasn't been mentioned in the fic yet (mostly because i didn't think of this until i was already like halfway through the fic and then i didn't officially decide on it until across the spider-verse came out) but gwen is trans in homeward bound. it's gonna be made explicitly clear as soon as i can figure out a fitting reason for why it wouldn't have been mentioned so far - it feels as though, since the fic is peter's pov and he's never mentioned it, it should be that gwen hasn't told him so he doesn't know, which means finding out is going to have to be a thing. not like a huge thing but it's going to have to become a scene of some kind that establishes the fact that she's trans and then also addresses why she didn't tell him/any of them.

i haven't decided on how yet - it might be a super casual thing where she just never thought to mention it because it's just a part of who she is and she doesn't feel the need to tell people because she doesn't think it really matters (and also hunter schafer has stated that she passes as a cis woman i remember seeing an interview after euphoria season one where she was talking about it and how like yeah it's great to have trans inclusion and representation in euphoria but also she knows that she's white and passing and that's probably a big part of why she got the role, which basically i'm mentioning because if hunter were to play gwen then gwen would also be able to pass very easily as a cis woman as well). i might make it a bigger thing, like maybe she experienced something (some kind of transphobia) in the past that made her very wary about telling people and then by the time she wanted to tell them it had been a long time so she didn't know how, etc. etc. etc.

i'm queer but like i'm a cis lesbian not trans or nonbinary or anything, i do have multiple trans friends and i've seen a lot of posts and art and such about different lives and experiences trans people have had but i'm still cis, so if anyone who isn't cis has any input on what they'd like to see, please let me know. i don't want to approach the topic with a lack of sensitivity and i want to have trans rep in hb but if people want it to be a casual thing then that's what i'll do, if people want there to be more to her backstory then i'll do that instead.

but yeah, basically i can REALLY picture hunter as gwen, like some of her acting in euphoria i feel has some potential gwen energy to it (specific scenes, some displays of emotion that i could see gwen having, etc) but also this picture of hunter feels VERY gwen to me:

also also, obviously zendaya is rue in euphoria so her and hunter are friends and have great chemistry together and as a gwemj lover that means a lot to me pdfjg

another possibility i could see is emma meyers, aka enid from wednesday. i think she's a great acctress and could encompass gwen's energy pretty well too, but my first pick would be hunter!

• alright so Harrison hated feeling jealous but he did especially when there were so many guys who flirted with you

• He never blamed you but he couldn’t help the feeling of jealousy that came inside of him that he had to go to the gym to punch out his feelings

• once when a guy was flirting with you at a pub he held onto your waist tightly and left soft kisses on your cheek and once at all tell you how much he loved you

• He sometimes would get moody when you didn’t notice and upset that there would be someone better which you always told him that there wasn’t.

• lots of hugs and cuddles when Harrison got jealous. Kisses basically Harrison is a soft boy when he’s jealous and needs attention.

A/N: I was working in a school until a tornado came through last week and damaged it and now it’s closed until further notice and I can’t work there and see my work crushes and have to find somewhere else to work and there are a lot of ...um… hot, young teachers and the other day I was thinking about what it would be like to work in a school with Harrison as one of the fellow teachers. Which created this:

You and Harrison both taught at a High School

You were the new Lit teacher (because what do you think we do on this website)

And Harrison taught History

He could teach about the monarchy and Prince Leopold and WWII

Bonus: Tom would teach science

Because Peter Parker vibes

Harrison’s classroom was down the hall and he was always there anytime you needed help

Whether it was finding your way around, getting the copy machine to work, needing him to watch your class for a quick restroom break, knowing which substitutes were the best, which meals to avoid in the cafeteria, how to handle certain students, etc

He was more than helpful

His helpfulness turned into a friendship which turned into a flirtationship by the end of your first year

When your job was renewed and he was tenured at the end of the school year he asked you out to celebrate

You wouldn’t tell anyone when you first started dating because you didn’t need teenagers gossiping about their teachers

Much less your coworkers gossiping in the break room

But things were going very well so eventually you each told your classes

“Yes. The rumors are true. Mr. Osterfield and I are dating.”

Cue the little squeals and awes and trying to settle down the class

You would ride to work together and leave together most days

Nights of grading papers and making tests together

Asking for opinions on projects and assignments and how you handle certain students and their parents

If there were any unruly students you would discuss with each other how you handle them

“Oh that doesn’t work for them. You have to tell their coach. Or send them to me next time. I’ll handle it.”

The students ‘oooh’ing at you two anytime they see y’all together

Even if it was a simple work related conversation, everyone in the school loved to point out y’all being together

Eating lunch together in one of your classrooms

Because you sponsored the Prom Committee you had to be a chaperone and find other chaperones

He obviously was going to chaperone with you but he didn’t just tell you or sign up to volunteer

One day after school, you’re both in your classroom grading papers and you get to the bottom of the stack where you notice a paper in his handwriting

“Miss Y/L/N, Will you go to prom with me? Circle Yes or No”

Fighting a blush you circled ‘Yes’ and walked the paper over to the desk he was working at, placing it down, then giving him a brief kiss on the cheek

You both agreed PDA needed to be kept at the bare minimum while at school

During prom night you were both dressed up and went to a nice dinner before and had some drinks after

He managed to pry you away from chaperone duties for a dance

You would show school spirit and go to different games together to support your students

Dressed out in school colors and cheering along with the band

The kids loved seeing y’all out of the classroom and more of a couple

Loved teasing is probably more accurate

He would coach the track team and you’d go support his meets

And if you thought he looked good in his teacher clothes

Well..

He certainly looked good when he was in coach mode too

If one of you had to be out sick or something the other would check in on the substitute and the class

“Now, you know I’m going to tell Mr. Osterfield if there were any issues so you might as well behave.”

The students honestly loved you both though

They were your little spies around the holidays

He told them to sneakily find out what you wanted as a gift when they were in your class

But teenagers weren’t the most subtle and when half of your class suddenly took an interest in your holiday wish-list you knew something was up

During teacher workdays you tried to each get stuff done in your own classrooms but inevitably ended up in one another’s room talking

You were certainly glad you had chosen this career path that led you to this school and then Harrison

You always had been a Teacher’s Pet. 😌

when you met harrison he was surprised at how many books you went through

but he loved it

you ended up getting him into reading and recommended him a ton of books, most of which he loved

often you two would go out to the book shops and wander around for almost an hour as you searched for new books for both you and harrison

and harrison swore he never saw you so happy

some people were happy at the beach or the late, but your happy place was the bookstore

haz had some plans for valentine’s day with you.

he wanted to take you to a place that was memorable to you two

so what better than the restaurant where you had your first date, amirite?

he of course, just told u that he was taking you to a restaurant for dinner and told you to wear something nice.

and you picked out a lovely red coloured dress with spaghetti straps and ending just above your knees that you had picked up especially for today for umm specific purposes😉

You did some simple makeup, nothing too much, just some foundation, red lipstick, some eyeliner and mascara and you felt amazing.

He wore a simple buttoned dark blue formal shirt with black pants and a black coloured jacket.

He looked gorgeous, as usual.

He drove you to the place, you were constantly asking him where you guys were going.

To which he only smirked and said "wait for sometime, darling."

When you finally reached, you instantly recognised the place.

It was the same restaurant you and Haz had your first date about 3 years ago.

You couldn't help letting out a small squeel, making him chuckle.

You both took a table and took a seat.

Memories of your first date came flooding to both of you as you recollected them.

You remember how you had ordered a smoothie after eating and had accidentally spilt it all over your dress.

He had offered to lend you a shirt and you shrugged, thinking this was your chance to see where he lives.

He had taken you back to the apartment and lent you his hoodie and some shorts and you changed in his bathroom, leaving your dress in the laundry room.

When you came back, he couldn't help but notice how great you looked in his clothes.

He just pulled you close to him on his lap(he was sitting on his bed) and began kissing you.

To which you responded gladly, kissing him back.

He was an amazing kisser, by the way.

His soft lips felt so amazing on your lips.

You even ran your fingers through his curls, he hummed into the kiss, enjoying the sensation of your fingers.

You both finally pulled away to breath. You were still on his lap.

His hands reached your waist to pull you closer while you stroked his cheeks with one hand.

You just looked into each others eyes.

"that was, really good"

"yeah?" He chuckled. "You look beautiful in my clothes, by the way."

“thanks” you blushed.

you spent the rest of the evening making out on the bed and eating takeout, and before long sleep had overtaken you both and you had fallen asleep in each other’s arms.

you both remembered it too well.

now back to the present hehe

you both had an amazing dinner, the both of you eating your favourite foods.

he had also got you some beautiful red roses and gave you a beautiful necklace with a heart shaped locket which had a photo of the two of you smiling in it.

you got him the shoes he had been eyeing for a long time, which he totally loved.

he also took you out for some stargazing in a nearby park where you gazed at the stars for a long time and laid side by side and kissed.

his fingers were, of course, tracing your body through your dress.

he whispered in your ear “may i unwrap you, dear?”

and you whispered back eagerly, “you can darling, but not here” you winked and he knew just what to do.

andd he drove you both home immediately and as soon as you entered your apartment he slammed his lips on you and carried you to the bedroom, the both of you undressing each other quickly and having sex the whole night hehehe

It’d be the most natural pet name he’d use

Just like “good morning, darling”

And “darling, I’m going on a run”

It became your second name really

And when you’d get a little bit jealous of him calling other girls darling

He’d reassure you that you are his only darling

Baby

Another simple-ish pet name, but it wasn’t his usual pet name for you

He’d only really use it if he was tired or distracted

“Baby, what time is it?” He’d ask, rolling over in the bed with his eyes still shut while he’d wrap his arms tighter around you

“Baby, watch me win this.” He’d say while playing COD with the boys while you’d be sitting in his lap, curled up in his arms

Beautiful

He’d use this one a lot because you are beautiful

And he NEEDED to make sure you knew that

He’d call you beautiful multiple times a day

At first he didn’t really like calling you pet names, he thought they were just strange

But then he just accidentally said one day, “what do you want for lunch, sweetheart”

And it was just so natural that he kept calling you that

He only really called you lover in your most intimate moments together

The first time he really called you gorgeous, it was at the premier for Catch-22

And you had blushed and rolled your eyes at your boyfriend

Who just continued with the nickname “All cameras are going to be on you, gorgeous”

He’d mainly call you “gorgeous” whenever you were dressed up for a premier or a nice date

But he always complimented you no matter what

He’d be your biggest hypeman on social media, showing off his gorgeous girl

Lovebug

It had been an accidental pet name at first

You’d been listening to the Jonas Brothers and naturally, you sang passionately to “Lovebug”

But you didn’t know Harry had seen you singing and dancing to the song

And so Harry just started calling you lovebug after that, thinking that your love for the song was cute

When you finally discovered the origin of the name, you’d kissed him, saying “you’re my lovebug, too”

It definitely became your song after that

And it was his favorite pet name for you

Precious

You weren’t sure why he started calling you this

But you weren’t going to complain because it was sweet

And he didn’t say it in like a gollum voice or anything so that was a plus

He’d call you this especially when you two were sharing an intimate moment

Like the night before he left with Tom, he’d tell you “I’m going to miss you so much, precious”

And you’d tease him about groupies, but he’d just reply “there’s only you, precious”

Pretty Girl

He’s a photographer so he’d absolutely take endless amounts of pictures of you

You two would be at the park, and he’d pull out his camera, wanting to photograph the moment

“C’mon, I need a few pictures of my pretty girl” he’d insist

Whenever you’d send him selfies, he’d always reply back “look at my pretty girl”

There was always a “my” in front of it

Because you were his pretty girl and he was your pretty boy

Darling

This would be the most be most common after lovebug

It’d just roll off the tongue casually

But he’d use a lot when you two were cuddling

You’d be playing with hair and he’d murmur “that feels so good, darling”

And when he’d come back from being away or when you’d go visit him,

‘come here.’ he says, moving you to lie your head on his chest to stop your glasses slipping like they always did. you should probably get a new pair.

as Harrison is looking down at you, it’s almost like things just change in a split second. you’re no longer just ‘exclusive’ - he’s in love with you.

no. no he isn’t. harrison osterfield doesn’t fall in love. he’s a ladies man. he’s can’t have that - but it’s you.

‘love you.’ he says, words slipping past his lips so fast even he doesn’t realise what he says at first.

christmas in canada just hits different w the snow, but your family was the main thing you were missing

it would also be your first christmas away from your family so you were absolutely dreading the holiday since you knew you were going to be alone

harrison surprised you though and invited you to come celebrate christmas w his family since he didn’t want you to be alone

you were nervous seeing as you hadn’t bought them presents yet

but harrison said that his presents to them could be from the both of you since you helped pick them out anyways

spending christmas with harrison’s family meant staying over at their place for two days

so packing the car for the drive over was not fun especially since the two of you had so many presents

they practically treated you as if you had spent christmas with them for the past decade and you couldn’t feel happier

you loved his family so spending christmas w them was so so nice

when it was time to open presents, you got really excited

harrison and you shared a chair, wanting you to be close to him as you two watched the others open their presents

monty even loved his present of a few new toys

charlotte loved her new dress and heels

and harrison’s mom loved her new bath set

they surprised you by getting you some jewelry that you’d had your eyes on for a while
