I will never forgive Mindy and the writers for season 4 and 5 Danny (one episode of season 5, apparently?) and the way EYE think they should’ve handled Chris Messina leaving is to make it a running gag that we just don’t see Danny anymore. Have the episode where he wants Mindy to stay home and she makes him try it. He realizes it’s really hard but he actually loves it and it’s important to him that Leo has a parent at home all the time. So he becomes a stay at home dad (and highlights the growth we’ve come to expect from him) and since Mindy’s at work all the time we don’t see him. She talks about Danny and Leo and has pictures of them and talks on the phone with him and we just get her side of the conversation. People come to her house and she’s like “oh you just missed Danny!” Have him pop in for a scene here or there but otherwise it’s a bit that runs for a few seasons. WHY NOT, MINDY!!!!
